Jeroen Leenaers (CDA EU): ‘veilige landen’ moeten asielzoekers terugnemen, anders zwaait er wat…….. OEI!!!

CDA onderknuppel ven grofgraaier in de EU, Leenaers was gisteren te horen in Standpunt NL. De stelling was: ‘Sancties tegen landen van herkomst helpen niet vluchtelingenstromen te beperken‘. U had het al begrepen, Leenaers was als CDA vertegenwoordiger, de partij die het antivluchtelingen beleid van fascist Orbán van Hongarije bejubelt, tegen deze stelling………

Met veel ADHD geschreeuw stelde de CDA hufter, dat ‘landen die veilig zijn’, de asielzoekers moeten terugnemen……. Bij onwil wil Leenaers die landen straffen, door de ontwikkelingshulp te stoppen en sancties nemen tegen de politieke leiders van die landen……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Die landen zeggen simpel, dat de bewuste asielzoekers niet uit hun land komen, aangezien meer dan 95% van de asielzoekers geen papieren hebben, wordt het erg moeilijk deze mensen terug te sturen….. Kijk, een verklaring van Leenaers, waarin hij stelt dat iemand uit Marokko komt, is gelukkig niet rechtsgeldig!

Dan is daar nog de aanduiding ‘veilige landen’, daarover kan men het in het EU parlement niet tot overeenstemming komen, zo bekende Leenaers. Een land als Afghanistan wordt door het ene land als veilig neergezet en door een ander land als onveilig aangeduid……..

Leenaers stelde dat ook Nederland veel Afghanen uitzet naar hun land van herkomst, terwijl zelfs een kind kan weten, dat dit land onveilig is……. Nederland ziet Afghanistan als veilig, iets dat Leenaers niet voluit durfde te zeggen, nee volgens deze oplichter zijn er mensen die hun leven niet veilig zijn in Afghanistan en die mogen hier blijven………. Leenaers vindt het prima dat het overgrote deel  van de gevluchte Afghanen terug moet naar hun in chaos en oorlog gedompelde land……. Oorlog en chaos door de VS met hulp van andere westerse landen (als Nederland) veroorzaakt……..

Daarover gesproken, ‘echte vluchtelingen’ hoeven niet naar Nederland te reizen, aldus Leenaers, die kunnen prima in de regio worden opgevangen……….. Ja dat zien we Leenaers, ‘dat gaat prima in de regio, zie Libanon, een land met 4,5 miljoen inwoners, daarbovenop verblijven daar nu meer dan 2 miljoen vluchtelingen en dan durven wij te zeggen, dat we de ‘vluchtelingenstroom’ niet aankunnen, alsof Libanon stinkend rijk is en wij straatarm (u begrijpt: het is precies andersom…..)…….

Dan nog de ontwikkelingshulp/samenwerking: dat is onder het wanbeleid van hare PvdA leeghoofdigheid Ploumen verworden tot een fikse pot subsidie binnenhalen door Nederlandse bedrijven…….* Leenaers snapt nog niet, dat wanneer deze ‘hulp’ (lees: neokoloniaal leegroven) wordt stopgezet, één van de belangengroepen van het CDA wordt getroffen, namelijk de bedrijven die in ontwikkelingslanden gebruik maken: -van slavenlonen, -goedkope belastingafdrachten, -de slechte of zelfs ontbrekende milieuregels!!

Voorts dumpen de EU landen hun overschotten op gebied van landbouw, veeteelt, zuivel productie en andere producten in de ontwikkelingslanden, waarmee we de veeboeren, landbouwboeren en andere bedrijven naar een failliet helpen en de situatie voor de bevolkingen in die landen nog hopelozer maken. Volgens Leenaers doen ‘we daar al veel tegen…..’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Zo spendeert de EU jaarlijks 65 miljard aan ontwikkelingssamenwerking, lullig genoeg komen er voor elke uitgegeven euro, minstens twee terug……..

De neoliberale hufter die Standpunt presenteert, Kockelman vroeg uiteraard niet aan Leenaers, wat de EU precies doet tegen dumping van EU producten in Afrika, sterker nog, zonder een kritische vraag daarover, beet hij een inbeller later toe, dat ‘er al veel wordt gedaan’ tegen deze dumping………..

Uiteraard wil Leenaers wel hoogopgeleide asielzoekers opnemen…….

Een echte christen, die Leenaers, maar dat had u al begrepen………

Mensenrechtenschendingen aangejaagd na inzet VS militairen in de Filipijnen……….

Sinds kort is het leger van de VS samen met het Filipijnse leger op jacht naar strijders van IS (verenigd in ‘Maute) en Abu Sayyaf. De president van de Filipijnen, Duterte, zegt tegen de inzet te zijn van VS troepen in zijn land, dit is in overeenkomst met zijn verkiezingsbeloften. Nu kan je nooit weten wat deze psychopathische moordenaar echt wil, behalve dan alle drugsverslaafden en dealers vermoorden (waar de schadelijkste harddrug is uitgezonderd van vervolging: alcohol…..)…….

Duterte heeft al wel aangegeven, dat hij minder grip heeft op het leger, dan zich liever voegt naar de wil van de VS. De band tussen de VS en het Filipijnse leger is historisch en dateert nog uit de tijd, dat de Filipijnen een kolonie was van de VS van 1899 tot 1946……

De vrees is dan ook, dat de VS de strijd tegen islamitische terreurgroepen gebruikt, om weer echt vaste voet op Filipijnse bodem te krijgen, waar de kans bestaat, dat de VS een coup zal organiseren tegen Duterte……. (al kan deze psychopaat beter vandaag dan morgen worden afgezet, echter niet middels de hulp van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde: de VS, dat zich al als een beest heeft gedragen op de Filipijnen!)

Uiteraard richt de VS zich ook op de linkse verzetsgroepen en dringt het aan op een verbod van de communistische partij in de Filipijnen…….

Eén ding is zeker: de mensenrechtenschendingen zijn na de inzet van VS troepen flink gegroeid, mensenrechten waar het Filipijnse leger en politie al schijt aan hadden……… De interventies en andere bemoeienissen van de VS in de Filipijnen uit het verleden, waarbij massamoorden werden gepleegd, mensen werden gemarteld en andere ernstige mensenrechtenschendingen werden gepleegd, doen het ergste vrezen voor de Filipijnse bevolking op o.a. Mindanao…….

Naast dit alles moet niet vergeten worden, dat de Filipijnen als kolonie van de VS wordt gebruikt voor de afzet van overproductie. De Filipijnen fungeren als een semi-kolonie van de VS, niet alleen voor afzet, maar ook vanwege de lage arbeidskosten en voor de bescherming van de miljarden investeringen die de VS heeft gedaan in de land- en tuinbouw, plus de productie van wapens en munitie….. Zelfs overheids/publieke zaken als gezondheidszorg, onderwijs, energielevering en telecommunicatie zitten bomvol VS investeringen, dit meestal daar deze zaken in handen zijn, dan wel voor een groot deel in handen zijn van VS bedrijven of VS investeerders…….

Vergeet verder niet dat alleen Mindanao naar schatting al van 840 miljard tot 1 biljoen dollar (in Engels: 840 billion en 1 trillion dollar) aan mineralen in de bodem heeft, dat is zo’n 70% van de totale Filipijnse mineralenrijkdom……..

Military’s Anti-Terror Efforts in the Philippines Fueling Human
Rights Violations

U.S.
forces have teamed up with the Philippines’ military to combat
terrorist groups in the country, ostensibly to bring about peace. But
numerous human rights violations have sprung up in their wake and
some believe that the U.S.’ ultimate goal may be to oust President
Rodrigo Duterte.

(MPN) — As
United States special forces near their third week in Marawi, a city
on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, observers say
their participation
in the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ battle to
reclaim the city from the ISIS (Daesh)-linked Maute group was also
aimed at reinforcing more than a century of U.S. control over the
Philippines, which was its colony from 1899 until 1946.

“The
U.S. seeks to consolidate and maintain the Philippines as its
semi-colony, wherein it can avail itself of cheap raw materials
(minerals, oil, natural gas), a cheap labor force, a dumping ground
for its surplus US products, as well as protect its billions in
investments in corporate agribusiness, military production and even
healthcare, education, and public utilities such as
telecommunications and energy,” said Bernadette Ellorin, a
grassroots human rights activist and chairperson of BAYAN-USA,
an alliance of U.S.-based progressive Filipino organizations.

A
2006 U.S. intelligence
assessment said
Mindanao could hold mineral resources worth between $840 billion and
$1 trillion, or as
much as 70 percent of
the Philippines’ total mineral wealth.

The
island is also the site of enduring conflicts between the Government
of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the indigenous Lumad and
Moro peoples, as well as the leftist New People’s Army.

Peace
talks between the GRP and the Moro National Liberation Front, the
Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the leftist National Democratic
Front of the Philippines have stretched on for decades. But they
quickly disappeared from headlines when Maute
seized Marawi on May 23,
after an attempt by the GRP to arrest the leader of another Daesh
affiliate, the Abu Sayyaf group.

But
many fear that the goal of the U.S.’ current intervention is to
strengthen the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in their bid to
repress these popular movements, as well as Maute and Abu Sayyaf.

“The
U.S. objective in Marawi and in Mindanao is to go after and crush the
revolutionary armed movement in the region including the Bangsamoro
struggle for self-determination, rebrand the [Communist Party of the
Philippines]-NPA as terrorists to the international community, and
derail the peace process that was resumed under the Duterte
administration,” Ellorin said.

Philippine
military “…the most reactionary and pro-U.S. government
institution…”

The
GRP, led by President Rodrigo Duterte, did
not invite the U.S. presence in
Marawi. In fact, Duterte had
ejected U.S. special forces from
the same region nine months earlier. Their return apparently came at
the invitation of the AFP.

Speaking
at a press conference in the city of Cagayan de Oro on June 12 –
one day after U.S. participation in the battle began – Duterte said
he had “never approached America” for assistance and “not aware
of that until they arrived,” adding “our soldiers are
pro-American, that I cannot deny.”

The
AFP’s founding by the U.S., as well as the decades of training and
other assistance it has received from America, make it uniquely
pro-American in a country where Duterte’s anti-U.S. broadsides have
won broad public approval.

The
AFP is the most reactionary and pro-U.S. government institution in
the Philippines,” Ellorin said.

“It
was established in the early 20th century during the U.S. colonial
period by the U.S. colonial government as the Philippine
Constabulary, whose purpose was and remains to maintain U.S. control
over the country and suppress anti-colonial rebellion.”

Many
are worried about the fresh support that the AFP is receiving from
the U.S., as well as its apparent ability to create its own foreign
policy independent of the GRP.

“U.S.
intervention has emboldened a Philippine military that is notorious
for its human rights record,” said human rights attorney Azadeh
Shahshahani, a member of the global council of the International
Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines.

Human
rights violations abound amid U.S. intervention

Before
the Marawi crisis erupted, years of U.S. involvement had already
taken a grisly toll in Mindanao and across the Philippines, according
to the country’s human rights advocates.

“U.S.
intervention through military and political means on the affairs of
Mindanao and the Philippines has resulted in countless violations of
human and people’s rights such as massacres, torture and other
grave crimes especially against the Moro peoples, to blatant
disregard of the country’s sovereignty and patrimony, and to the
worsening of social injustices and discrimination against Moro and
Lumad peoples,” said Cristina Palabay, secretary general of
the KARAPATAN
Alliance for the Advancement of People’s Rights.

In
Marawi, she added, “Human rights violations have been committed
with graver impunity especially with the continuing implementation of
the U.S.-driven counterinsurgency program, all-out war declaration
against the people, the anti-poor war on drugs and martial law
declaration in Mindanao.”

These
abuses fit an established historic pattern of the U.S. and its allies
using anti-terror rhetoric to justify their repression of popular
struggles, regardless of the human toll, according to Reverend
Michael Yoshii, a global council member of the International Council
on Human Rights in the Philippines

“In
the case of the Philippines, this has led to hundreds of
extrajudicial killings targeting human rights advocates seeking
social change in the country,” he said.

“The
war on terror continues to be a nebulous reality that needs to be
reigned in as innocent civilians like those in Marawi have become
collateral damage in these campaigns.”

U.S.
neocolonialism unlikely to end anytime soon in the Philippines

Shahshahani
added that U.S. involvement in the Philippines occurs across multiple
levels, with various strategies but identical goals.

“U.S.
intervention takes place in the economic, political, social, and
cultural spheres in the Philippines and perpetuates the country’s
deep-seated social and economic crisis that is the root of chronic
social unrest in the country,” she said.

“The
Filipino people have suffered the brunt of this military presence,
including sexual violence against women and children, forced
evacuation of communities in areas designated for military exercises
and operations, injuries and killings of civilians, and destruction
of the environment.”

With
U.S. forces showing no signs of leaving Marawi anytime soon, their
presence raises several questions about the future. One is the effect
that an enhanced U.S. role could have on peace talks between the GRP
and leftist or Moro groups.

Another
is the consequence of a possible power grab by the military of a
democratic country in cooperation with a foreign superpower.

“This
current situation demonstrates how divided the ruling classes are
within the current administration of Rodrigo Duterte,” Ellorin
said, adding that it “indicates intentions of the U.S. and its
loyalists in the AFP to destabilize the Duterte administration if it
does not uphold the traditional status quo of U.S. neocolonial
politics in the Philippines.”

Politie-inzet in Thailand, ja politieagent zo kan het ook!

Hier een video waarin een Thaise politieagent een man met een mes ontwapend, niet met een knuppel, taser, of een vuurwapen, die laatste twee en zeker de laatste manier wil nogal eens verkeerd aflopen voor een met een mes bewapende verdachte……. Zie hier hoe het anders kan:

Deze video is vreemd genoeg verwijderd, terwijl te zien was hoe een agent insprak op een man met een mes en hem wist te overtuigen zich over te geven en het mes af te geven….. (toegevoegd op 7 januari 2020, n.a.v. het doodschieten van een verwarde man door de politie van het Duitse Gelsenkirchen)

Kwam onlangs nog eens een video tegen van Giel Beelen, die zich liet ‘taseren’, zijn commentaar achteraf bestond eruit, dat hij dit wapen prima geschikt vindt voor politiegebruik. Als deze grofgraaier zich even had verdiept in de zaak, had hij kunnen  weten dat er regelmatig mensen overlijden bij, of kort nadat ze door de politie werden ‘getaserd’. Niet voor niets heeft de politie van New York dit wapen in de ban gedaan……….

Koenders: NYT en Ass. Press gaven toe dat Russia-gate een canard is, waar blijft jouw openlijke schuldbekentenis?

Associated Press (AP) en de New York Times (NYT) hebben toegegeven dat de bewering als zouden alle 17 geheime diensten in de VS achter de claim staan, dat Rusland de VS presidentsverkiezingen zouden hebben beinvloed t.b.v. van het beest Donald Trump.

De directeur van de National Intelligence (DNI), Clapper, die over alle geheime diensten gaat, zou hebben bedoeld dat het om 3 diensten ging, de CIA, de FBI en de NSA. Echter daar deze directeur over 17 diensten gaat, nam men aan, dat het de bevinding van 17 diensten was, dat Rusland de verkiezingen t.g.v. het beest Trump had beïnvloed……..

De democratische kandidaat, hare kwaadaardigheid Clinton stelde dat er geen twijfel is als alle 17 diensten hetzelfde stellen……….

Eerlijk gezegd snap ik al niet, dat er nog iemand is, die ook maar gelooft wat welke geheime VS dienst dan ook verklaart, daarvoor hebben deze diensten, om het zachtjes te stellen, iets te vaak laten zien, dat liegen één van hun belangrijkste eigenschappen is……….

Het is dan ook aan politici als Koenders en Rutte en de reguliere westerse media te danken dat de leugens van de bedoelde VS diensten hier als waarheid worden verkocht…….

Hier kan nog het volgende punt bij opgeteld worden: NB de NSA heeft bewezen ingebroken in computers en telefoons van regeringen in het buitenland, zelfs van haar partners zoals Duitsland (en gegarandeerd ook in Nederland), m.a.w. de zwarte pot verwijt een niet zwarte ketel zwart te zijn!!! Daarnaast is de VS sinds 1945 verantwoordelijk voor een flink aantal staatsgrepen (ook voor 1940, ‘maar goed….’)……

Moet je nagaan, hoeveel onzinnige energie en hysterie er al in de valse claim is gestoken, dat Rusland alles en iedereen zou hacken en manipuleren…….. Als gevolg waarvan men geen maatregelen nam, de boel beter te beveiligen, zo bleek onlangs weer met de 2 ransomware aanvallen…….

Benieuwd hoe lang figuren al Hubert Smeets, Rob de Wijk, Han ten Broeke (VVD hufter), Arend Jan Boekestijn (ook al VVD, maar dan een echte sufferd) en vele anderen uit de politiek en de reguliere westerse media, de leugen blijven volhouden dat Rusland de VS (en andere) verkiezingen heeft gemanipuleerd…….

York Times and AP Finally Retract False Claims on Russia Hacking

(ANTIWAR.COM) — Among
the most oft-repeated claims of the entire Russia election hacking
scandal is that of absolute unanimity among US intelligence agencies,
with media and politicians regularly claiming that “all
17 US intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to
influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.”
It’s not true.

Nearly
a year into the hacking scandal, both the New
York Times and
the Associated
Press are
finally copping to the fact that this allegation is untrue, and
retracting it outright. The AP confirmed falsely making the claim in
at least four distinct articles, most
recently on Thursday.

What
actually happened? The Director of National Intelligence made the
allegation, claiming it was based on information from three US
agencies, the CIA, FBI, and NSA. The Director of National
Intelligence nominally represents all 17 intelligence agencies, and
that was quickly and incorrectly extrapolated into all 17 agencies
being in consensus.

In
practice, however, the DNI is an increasingly politicized office, and
their publications aren’t necessarily in line with actual reality,
let alone proof of a consensus among the intelligence agencies.
Indications are that the overwhelming majority of the US intelligence
agencies were never even involved in assessing the Russia hacks.

Nor
would they be expected to be. It would be bizarre if the Pentagon’s
intelligence agency, for example, was probing US elections, or if the
National Reconnaissance Office, which operates spy satellites looking
for missile launches, was chiming in on the Trump Campaign.

It
sounded better, particularly for those trying to make this into a
bigger scandal, however, to claim that “all 17” US intelligence
agencies had agreed on the narrative, because this would give the
impression that it’s indisputable fact, as opposed to a heavily
politically-motivated assertion backed up by limited circumstantial
evidence dug up by a couple of US spy agencies.

30, 2017 “Information
Clearing House” – The New York Times has finally admitted
that one of the favorite Russia-gate canards – that all 17 U.S.
intelligence agencies concurred on the assessment of Russian hacking
of Democratic emails – is false.

On
Thursday, the Times appended a
correction to a June 25 article that
had repeated the false claim, which has been used by Democrats and
the mainstream media for months to brush aside any doubts about the
foundation of the Russia-gate scandal and portray President Trump as
delusional for doubting what all 17 intelligence agencies supposedly
knew to be true.

In
the Times’ White House Memo of June 25, correspondent Maggie
Haberman mocked Trump for “still refus[ing] to acknowledge a basic
fact agreed upon by 17 American intelligence agencies that he now
oversees: Russia orchestrated the attacks, and did it to help get him
elected.”

However,
on Thursday, the Times – while leaving most of Haberman’s
ridicule of Trump in place – noted in a correction that the
relevant intelligence “assessment was made by four intelligence
agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the
Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and
the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all
17 organizations in the American intelligence community.”

The
Times’ grudging correction was vindication for some Russia-gate
skeptics who had questioned the claim of a full-scale intelligence
assessment, which would usually take the form of a National
Intelligence Estimate (or NIE), a product that seeks out the views of
the entire Intelligence Community and includes dissents.

The
reality of a more narrowly based Russia-gate assessment
was admitted in
May by President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James
Clapper and Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan in sworn
congressional testimony.

Clapper testified before
a Senate Judiciary subcommittee on May 8 that the Russia-hacking
claim came from a “special intelligence community assessment” (or
ICA) produced by selected analysts from the CIA, NSA and FBI, “a
coordinated product from three agencies – CIA, NSA, and the FBI –
not all 17 components of the intelligence community,” the former
DNI said.

Clapper
further acknowledged that the analysts who produced the Jan. 6
assessment on alleged Russian hacking were “hand-picked” from the
CIA, FBI and NSA.

Yet,
as any intelligence expert will tell you, if you “hand-pick” the
analysts, you are really hand-picking the conclusion. For instance,
if the analysts were known to be hard-liners on Russia or supporters
of Hillary Clinton, they could be expected to deliver the one-sided
report that
they did.

Politicized
Intelligence

In
the history of U.S. intelligence, we have seen how this selective
approach has worked, such as the phony determination of the Reagan
administration pinning the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul
II and other acts of terror on the Soviet Union.

CIA
Director William Casey and Deputy Director Robert Gates shepherded
the desired findings through the process by
putting the assessment under the control of pliable analysts and
sidelining those who objected to this politicization of intelligence.

The
point of enlisting the broader intelligence community – and
incorporating dissents into a final report – is to guard against
such “stove-piping” of intelligence that delivers the politically
desired result but ultimately distorts reality.

Another
painful example of politicized intelligence was President George W.
Bush’s 2002 National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq’s WMD
that removed
State Department and other dissents from
the declassified version that was given to the public.

Since
Clapper’s and Brennan’s testimony in May, the Times and other
mainstream news outlets have avoided a direct contradiction of their
earlier acceptance of the 17-intelligence-agencies canard by simply
referring to a judgment by “the intelligence community.”

That
finessing of their earlier errors has allowed Hillary Clinton and
other senior Democrats to continue referencing this fictional
consensus without challenge, at least in the mainstream media.

For
instance, on May 31 at a technology conference in California, Clinton
referred to
the Jan. 6 report,
asserting that “Seventeen agencies, all in agreement, which I know
from my experience as a Senator and Secretary of State, is hard to
get. They concluded with high confidence that the Russians ran an
extensive information war campaign against my campaign, to influence
voters in the election.”

The
failure of the major news organizations to clarify this point about
the 17 agencies may have contributed to Haberman’s mistake on June
25 as she simply repeated the groupthink that nearly all the
Important People in Washington just knew to be true.

But
the Times’ belated correction also underscores the growing sense
that the U.S. mainstream media has joined in a political vendetta
against Trump and has cast aside professional standards to the point
of repeating false claims designed to denigrate him.

That,
in turn, plays into Trump’s Twitter complaints that he and his
administration are the targets of a “witch hunt” led by the “fake
news” media, a grievance that appears to be energizing his
supporters and could discredit whatever ongoing investigations
eventually conclude.

Mensen, hoorde gisteravond rond 18.15 u. op BNR een ‘interview’ van een BNR tut met oorlogshitsers en lobbyisten van het militair-industrieel complex Rob de Wijk en zijne VVD leeghoofdigheid Boekestijn. De 2 hebben tevens een zaterdag programma op BNR, waar ze ‘de wereld duiden’ volgens de VS/NAVO doctrine, m.a.w. een grote verkapte reclame voor het voornoemde militair-industrieel complex

Het geteisem sprak over Karaganov, met wie ze hebben gesproken. Boekestijn stelde dat Karaganov eerder adviseur van Jeltsin was en nu ook adviseur is voor Putin (aan wie de twee luldozen een bloedhekel hebben).

Volgens Boekestijn spreekt Karaganov de taal van de Wijk en hemzelf en is het een briljante man……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Als hij de taal van de de Wijk en Boekestijn spreekt, is één ding zeker: Karaganov kan geen briljante zijn!!!

Daarnaast als Karaganov Jeltsin heeft geadviseerd, is hij mede verantwoordelijk voor het desastreuze beleid van Jeltsin, een beleid dat Rusland aan de rand van de afgrond bracht en een kleine groep viezeriken ontzettend rijk heeft gemaakt, hufters die we nu kennen als oligarchen……… ‘Briljant….’  ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, Rusland werd ‘briljant’ naar de kloten geholpen!!

In mijn zoektocht naar feiten en achtergrond kwam ik een stuk van de ongelofelijke oorlogshitser en ook al lobbyist van het militair-industrieel complex (inclusief de NAVO) Hubert Smeets tegen. Deze kwast had in 2014, vlak na de ramp in Oekraïne met vlucht MH17 ‘een interview’  met Karaganov, dat stond afgedrukt in de NRC.

Hier een deel uit de tekst in de NRC van 28 juli 2014:

De dag na de vliegramp bij Donetsk heeft president Vladimir Poetin zijn „medeleven” overgebracht aan premier Mark Rutte. Een onderminister van Buitenlandse Zaken uit zijn regering en de senaatvoorzitter van de Federatieraad hebben op de Nederlandse ambassade in Moskou het condoleanceregister getekend. Daarbij liet het Kremlin het de afgelopen tien dagen. Opmerkelijk. Nederland is een van de drie belangrijkste handelspartners van Rusland. Bovendien heeft Den Haag zich de laatste maanden juist heel bescheiden getoond in het debat over de Westerse sancties………

Wat had Rusland dan moeten doen, jankend de grond schoon likken in Oekraïne, of sterker nog de leugenachtige reet van Rutte likken? Rutte die van Smeets in datzelfde NRC artikel nog een veer in de reet kreeg: ‘In de lawine van beschuldigingen, tegenbeschuldigingen en scheldpartijen wordt het correcte gedrag van premier Rutte niet meer gezien’. Volgens Smeets zou Karaganov dit hebben gezegd*, maar dat is maar zeer de vraag…. Als deze man die door een aantal Nederlandse ‘opiniemakers’ en andere media praatjesmakers (als de Wijk en Boekestijn) wordt afgeschilderd als een intellectueel van formaat en hij dat werkelijk zou zijn, had hij voor hij deze uitlating had gedaan, eerst een paar weken gewacht, alvorens hij Rutte de hemel in had geprezen. Immers Rutte zei al redelijk vlot na de ramp met vlucht MH17 dat alles wees op de schuld van Rusland, dan wel  op die van de ‘pro-Russische separatisten……’ Ook al hield hij een slag om de arm, uiteraard om niet de handelsbetrekkingen met Rusland te grabbel te gooien. Dit terwijl er tegelijkertijd meer dan voldoende twijfels waren aangaande deze valse beschuldiging…….** Overigens werd Rutte vrij snel overgehaald door de VS om zich als EU partner voor sancties tegen Rusland uit te spreken.

*   Waar Smeets aan toevoegde dat Karaganov het kan weten, want hij en zijn vrouw hebben eens een fietsvakantie in Nederland gemaakt……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Gezien deze uitspraak: hoe is ‘t in godsnaam mogelijk, dat er nog mensen zijn, die de mislukte kwast Smeets nog geloven…???

Angela Merkel en het (Duitse) homohuwelijk, christelijke hypocrisie ten top!

Angela Merkel, de Duitse (CDU) premier kon niet anders dan haar verzet tegen het homohuwelijk opgeven (dit daar ze afhankelijk is van de oppositie die voor het overgrote deel achter dat huwelijk staat). Dus liet ze een week geleden weten niet tegen een stemming voor het homohuwelijk te zijn, vandaar dat op initiatief van de SPD het homohuwelijk snel ter stemming werd gebracht in de Bondsdag. Zoals verwacht werd het voorstel tot het instellen van het homohuwelijk met een fikse meerderheid aangenomen……

Het BBC World Service radionieuws van afgelopen vrijdag 13.00 u. (CET) liet weten dat Merkel tegen het homohuwelijk had gestemd (ach die miljoenen homo’s moeten niet zeiken…)…….. Tegelijkertijd liet de ‘christelijke’ hypocriet Merkel weten dat ze hoopte dat het homohuwelijk tot verdraagzaamheid en wederzijds respect onder de bevolking zou leiden………

Met andere woorden, die verdraagzaamheid en wederzijds respect kunnen zonder het homohuwelijk niet behaald worden en toch stemde ze tegen!! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Ongelofelijk en totaal ongeloofwaardig, jezus wat een hypocriet!

Klijnsma: het land was in 2012 aan lager wal geraakt, we moesten wel regeren met de VVD…. ha ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Afgelopen zaterdagmiddag in Kots Kamerbreed (Radio1) de voorzitter van de bouwfmaffia (Bouwend Nederland), CDA Untersturmbannführer Verhagen, hare PvdA hufterigheid Klijnsma en ‘christenbroeder’ van der Staaij, de enorm hypocriete SGP politicus.

Boonman stelde met z’n zeverige slijmstem dat hij blij was met de komst van Verhagen, alsof de president van Frankrijk tijd had vrijgemaakt om te kouten met Boonman……..

Volgens Verhagen, die verderop in het gesprek stelde geen mening te willen geven over de huidige politiek, dat het niet anders kan, dan regeren aan de hand van de verkiezingsuitslag…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Je meent ‘t?!!

Uiteraard bedoelde deze onderkruiper, dat de grote partijen niet langer moeten zeuren, maar als de donder een kabinet moeten vormen. Zo moest immers de PvdA wel met de VVD regeren, aldus Verhagen…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Waarom dat zou moeten maakte de kwezel niet duidelijk, immers er lagen wel degelijk andere opties voor in 2012! Overigens gaf Verhagen in het verdere gesprek wel degelijk zijn mening over de politiek……. Ach ja, eens een domme leugenaar……

Het leek warempel wel of Klijnsma klaar kwam, toen ze deze woorden uit de mond van Verhagen hoorde. Ze had zelf ook al een verdediging verzonnen, waarom de PvdA de feitelijke achterban en doelgroep in de onderlaag van de maatschappij zo heeft verraden, met het smerige gevoerde neoliberale beleid, onder Rutte 2…….. Waar voor Klijnsma nog bijkomt, dat ze de groep tot wie ze zelf behoort, mensen met een beperking, nog eens extra heeft gepakt…………

Daar komt ‘ie, veiligheidsgordels vast: volgens rollatorslet Klijnsma was het land aan lager wal geraakt en moesten we wel (in 2012 regeren met de VVD…)….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! U ziet ‘t voor zich, Nederland als een alcoholist, die in de goot ligt te slapen en tadaa daar komt de in een uniform van het Leger des Heils gestoken PvdA, met de helpende hand……..

Van der Staaij was intussen behoorlijk ontroerd geraakt van alle ‘goedigheid’ die Klijnsma ten toon had gespreid, Klijnsma die ‘t toch zo goed op had met het land, terwijl ze zich allesbehalve heeft gedragen (en gedraagt) als een volksvertegenwoordiger, maar als lobbyist van het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberalisme en daarmee als lobbyist van de bedrijven, de financiële maffia, het militair-industrieel complex (als lid van Rutte 2) en de welgestelden……

Vandaar dat van de Staaij het plots opnam voor D66, waar dan misschien wel medische ethische problemen mee zijn, gezien de houding van D66, dat eerst samenwerking met de CU uitsloot (voor de schijn, dus voor de achterban), maarrrr….. Van der Staaij herinnerde de anderen er even aan, dat D66 in Balkenende 2 rekening had gehouden met de ‘Christen’Unie en SGP en weliswaar op gebied van abortus iets voor elkaar kreeg, maar tegelijkertijd had gezorgd dat ook de alternatieven voor abortus en de financiering daarvan, beter onder de aandacht van het publiek heeft gebracht……. Daarmee kon van der Staaij tevens zijn draai destijds verdedigen voor de fundamentalisten uit eigen partij, die geen millimeter wilden toegeven en hem het gedogen van dat kabinet kwalijk hebben genomen…….

U weet wel, het gedogen van Balkenende 2 door CU en SGP, het kabinet van het zuur en ‘het zoet’, ‘het zoet’ dat niet kwam en uiteindelijk voor de grote onderlaag zoutzuur werd, echt hééééééél ‘christelijk’ en het gedogen waard……..

Nee, het was echt nodig om D66 veilingmeester Pechtold de helpende hand toe te steken, deze oplichter heeft immers een draai gemaakt, die voor echte D66’ers onmogelijk moet zijn te verteren……. Vraag me trouwens af, hoe die SGP verdediging is gevallen bij de ‘hardcore’ D66’ers. Snapte trouwens al niet waarom volksverlakker Pechtold zo’n tamtam maakte, het was destijds al te voorspelen, dat hij uiteindelijk toch akkoord zou gaan met de CU, of dat nu als coalitiepartner in Rutte 3, of als gedoogpartner zou zijn….. Niet voor niets hebben Pechtold en de ‘christenbroeders’ van CU en SGP al jaren samengewerkt om het inhumane beleid van Rutte 2 overeind te houden (zoals destijds onder Balkenende) met de door hen geleverde gedoogsteun…….

Vals emotionele politieke handjeklap poppenkast, te lullig en schunnig voor woorden!

Qatar: Turkije op oorlogspad tegen Saoedische dreiging…. De dreiging van een groot internationaal conflict……

Vanavond verloopt de deadline, die de reli-fascistische terreurstaat Saoedi-Arabië heeft opgelegd aan Qatar.. Een paar van de eisen, Al Jazeera moet ‘uit de lucht gehaald worden’, de Turkse militaire basis in Qatar moet gesloten worden en de banden met Iran moeten min of meer verbroken worden……

De meest belachelijke eis is wel, dat Qatar de banden met terreurgroepen moet verbreken…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Als er één land is, dat terreur ondersteunt, is het Saoedi-Arabië wel. Zo bevoorraden de Saoediërs Al Qaida, IS en een aantal kleinere terreurgroepen  in Syrië met wapens en wapensystemen (zoals ‘schouderraketten’ made in the USA) Ook de financiën van de wat kleinere terreurgroepen en Al Qaida in Syrië (al-Nusra) worden door S-A beheerd………

Deze dreiging en m.n. die t.a.v. de Turkse basis in Qatar, is Turkije (en daarmee de psychopathische leider Erdogan) in het verkeerde keelgat geschoten zijn…. Volgens Anti-Media is Turkije druk doende troepen over te brengen naar Qatar……..

Dat deze spanning zo oploopt is aan het beest Trump en de rest van de westerse VS hielenlikkers te danken, hielenlikkers die te beroerd zijn om Saoedi-Arabië eindelijk eens de les te lezen, bijvoorbeeld als het gaat om de genocide die dit land momenteel uitvoert tegen de sjiieten in buurland Jemen…..

Waar is PvdA zwatelaar Koenders met commentaar op de Saoedische dreiging jegens Qatar?? Ach, het is als met de Saoedische genocide op de Jemenitische sjiieten: de jaknikkende hufter Koenders maakt er geen woord aan vuil, de poen gaat nu eenmaal ver voor op een futiliteit als genocide………

Mochten Saoedi-Arabië en haar arabisch, soennitische bondgenoten Qatar binnenvallen, wordt kruitvat Midden-Oosten nog verder op spanning gebracht, een spanning die nu in feite al zo groot is dat een internationaal conflict al bijna niet meer te vermijden is (zeker gezien de oorlogsmisdaden van de VS tegen het legitieme Syrische bewind..)… Een internationaal conflict met aan één kant terreurentiteiten VS, Saoedi-Arabië (en haar bondgenoten), Israël en de westerse hielenlikkers van de VS en aan de andere kant Rusland, Syrië, Iran en hoogstwaarschijnlijk China…….

De vraag is of Turkije zich dan zal aansluiten bij de laatst genoemde landen, dus Rusland en Iran (plus Syrië*), of bij de VS en haar (terreur) bondgenoten, dan wel zich neutraal zal opstellen… Mocht Turkije zich aansluiten bij Rusland en Iran, is het bijna onvermijdelijk dat Turkije zich uit de NAVO zal terugtrekken….. Gezien het overbrengen van Turkse troepen naar Qatar, is de kans groot dat Turkije zich inderdaad zal aansluiten bij Rusland en Iran (en Syrië)

Turkish Troops Arrive in Qatar as Gulf Tensions Continue to Escalate

(ANTIWAR.COM) — When
Turkish troops were deployed to a military base in Qatar, it was huge
news across the region, primarily because it was a show of support by
the Erdogan government for the emirate at a time when many of Qatar’s
neighbors are blocking them.

The
number of troops sent last week was not publicly reported, and that’s
because it was not a lot, with the latest Turkish media
report suggesting
that 23 soldiers were sent back then, and the new deployments
announced today brought the number to “at least 88.”

Turkish
media suggested this number could rapidly grow, reaching 1,000 as
Turkey looks to back its regional ally, and as Saudi Arabia and
others demand Qatar expel the Turks outright. The
deadline for that demand, and many others, is Sunday night, and
Turkey’s deployment likely underscores that they don’t intend to
leave.

Meanwhile,
Qatari Defense Minister Khalid al-Attiyah visited
the Turkish capital of Ankara today to meet his counterpart,and
discuss joint exercises to
be carried out in the future, along with the possibility of
accelerating deployments.

Vanmorgen weer een staaltje anti-Maduro propaganda op BBC World Service waar de honden geen brood van lusten. Arturo Wallace, een journalist die ook voor de BBC werkt, vertelde o.a. over de aanval afgelopen week met een helikopter op het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en het hooggerechtshof, in de hoofdstad Caracas. In eerste instantie stelde Wallace dat de leider van deze aanval, Oscar Pérez waarschijnlijk maar een kleine groep van opstandelingen vertegenwoordigt. Pérez is een bekende Venezolaan, die goed bekendstaat, aldus Wallace. Na deze kwalificaties stelde hij echter even later dat deze Pérez waarschijnlijk door de regering Maduro op pad werd gestuurd, om een excuus te hebben soldaten* de straat op te sturen en zo mensen te demotiveren weer te gaan demonstreren………

‘Toevallig’ werkt deze Pérez nauw samen met en voor de bekende Venezolaanse oud-generaal en minister van Binnenlandse Zaken, Justitie en Vrede, Rodríguez, die momenteel onderzocht wordt vanwege banden met de DEA (VS: Drugs Enforcement Administration) en de CIA. Kortom om ‘t zachtjes uit te drukken, niet echt vrienden van Maduro en zijn regering……. Daarnaast heeft deze Rodríguez veel van zijn eigendommen en geld in de VS ondergebracht, op naam van zijn vrouw…….

Maduro regeert met het geweer, aldus Wallace en de actie met de helikopter is een teken dat velen Maduro zat zijn……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Je meent ‘t? Buiten dat ‘t nogal vreemd is te concluderen, dat een terreuraanval aangeeft dat de bevolking Maduro zat is, is het lullig voor Wallace dat er genoeg Venezolanen zijn die achter Maduro blijven staan…..

Wallace sprak wel over de demonstraties en dat daardoor al veel mensen zijn omgekomen, maar met geen woord sprak hij over het barbaarse geweld dat door de rechtse oppositie wordt gepleegd en uitgelokt, dit onder dekking van de demonstraties tegen Maduro………

Ik hoef u waarschijnlijk niet te vertellen, dat Wallace met geen woord sprak over alle machinaties van de VS, die de Venezolaanse economie tot staan hebben gebracht. Zo mag een grote winkelketen van levensmiddelen, die in handen is van een bedrijf in de VS, haar winkels al meer dan een half jaar niet bevoorraden en doet de VS van alles om ook andere bedrijven lam te leggen……. Daarmee heeft de VS (CIA) grote onvrede gekweekt** en het lijkt of iedereen de regering Maduro kwijt wil, echter zoals gezegd staat nog steeds een groot deel van de Venezolanen achter die regering.

Medestanders van Maduro en zijn regering bevinden zich niet alleen in de grote arme onderlaag van de bevolking, maar ook in leger, politie, rechterlijke macht en de geheime dienst,,,,,,,,,,

De helikopteraanval wordt door Maduro terecht als een terroristische aanval bestempeld, in het westen wordt dit weggelachen, echter als iets dergelijks hier of in welk ander westers land dan ook zou gebeuren, zou het onmiddellijk als een terreuraanval worden neergezet……

More
than 80 people miraculously avoided injury or death in a helicopter
attack that targeted Venezuelan government buildings this week. The
attack may have been part of an attempted coup supported by the U.S.
as it seeks to topple Venezuela’s government to gain access to its
massive oil reserves.

(MPN) — Opposition
efforts to topple Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s government
are rapidly heating up, as months upon months of opposition protests
have failed to make the inroads desired by the more extremist
elements of the opposition and their foreign backers, particularly
the United States.

With
the current regime still hanging on to power despite years of
economic sabotage and the funneling of millions from the U.S. to
right-wing Venezuelan opposition parties, those determined to see
Maduro removed from power have now turned to more drastic, violent
measures in order to spark a coup.

On
Tuesday, one of the more dramatic incidents of the most recent phase
of the Venezuelan crisis took place when a stolen
police helicopter opened fire on
the Supreme Court and the Interior Ministry. At the time the attack
occurred – about 5 p.m. local time – there were an estimated 80
people still inside the Interior Ministry and the Supreme Court was
in session. No deaths or injuries were reported, a fact that the
Venezuelan government attributed to a quick response by national
guard forces, who repelled the attacking helicopter before it could
do more damage.

Maduro
condemned the attack soon
after it occurred, calling it a “terrorist attack” that “could
have caused dozens of deaths.” Ernesto Villegas, Venezuela’s
Communications and Information Minister, stated
that the attack was
intended to be part of an attempted coup led by extremist groups
within the opposition, with full U.S. government support said to be
behind them.

Villegas’
assertion that the U.S. was involved in this attack is not based on
mere speculation. Pérez has been known to work for Miguel Rodríguez
Torres, a former general and former minister of Venezuela’s
Department of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace who is currently
being investigated for
his ties to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the
CIA. The charges first surfaced when the Venezuelan news
agency Últimas
Noticias obtained
an official DEA document that
described Rodríguez Torres as a “key information provider” for
the agency and recommended that he be secured as a protected source
for the DEA and U.S. government. It also noted that 40 percent of his
assets and wealth are held in the U.S. under his wife’s name.

The
U.S. has long sought to oust the left-wing regime that was brought to
power in Venezuela by Hugo Chávez in the late 1990s. Since Chávez’s
election, the U.S. is believed to have spent between
$50 to $60 million to
strengthen the country’s right-wing opposition in the hope that
they would win elections. Former U.S. President Barack Obama
alone dedicated
$5 million to
“support political competition-building efforts” in Venezuela.

More
recently, the U.S. Senate has been mulling over new legislation that
would provide an
additional $20 million for
“democracy promotion” efforts in Venezuela. However, some of
these efforts in the past have led to right-wing politicians and
their affiliates paying
protesters in cash to
violently escalate opposition rallies.

Such
rallies have turned increasingly violent in recent weeks, with three
people burned alive by
opposition protesters just in the last week. Journalists have also
been targeted, with some being
directly shot at and others
threatened with
being lynched or set aflame. Despite the violence, the Venezuelan
opposition is likely to continue receiving funding from the U.S.,
which is eager to gain control of Venezuela’s oil reserves – the
largest in the world – no matter the cost.

DEA (VS) verklaart cannabis als ongevaarlijk, maar weigert de medicinale kracht van cannabis te erkennen……..

Anti-Media bracht afgelopen woensdag het bericht dat de Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in de VS cannabis als ongevaarlijk genotsmiddel heeft gekwalificeerd. Sterker nog het gebruik van cannabis geeft een groot aantal voordelen!!

Zo wordt je gelukkig en vrolijk door het gebruik van cannabis, het zorgt voor socialisering, spraakzaamheid en laat de gebruiker beter genieten van muziek en kunst, aldus de DEA rapportage.

‘Uiteraard’ wijst de DEA wel op negatieve effecten die kunnen optreden na het gebruik van cannabis, zoals bronchitis en longemfyseem, terwijl daar bij gebruik van cannabis zonder tabak geen bewijzen voor zijn.

De DEA wil verder niet ingaan op de sterk geneeskrachtige werking van cannabis en producten gemaakt van cannabis, dit alleen omdat cannabis op de nummer 1 lijst voor (verboden/gevaarlijke) drugs staat……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

In het rapport van de DEA ‘Drugs of Abuse’ staat vreemd genoeg niet de harddrug die verreweg de meeste schade toebrengt en dat op meerdere vlakken, alcohol!!

Het valt nog mee dat de DEA ‘zo gunstig rapporteerde’ over cannabis, daar de alcoholindustrie via lobby kapitalen steekt in het verboden houden van o.a. cannabis………

Al met al een mooi artikel van Carey Wedler, ook informatief over andere drugs als MDMA en LSD. Voorts wijst Wedler op de hypocrisie t.a.v. voorschrift medicatie in de rapportage van de DEA, die vooral in de VS voor veel problemen zorgt en een enorm aantal doden veroorzaakt, zoals men het afgelopen jaar een aantal keren heeft gemeld in de reguliere VS media……

The
DEA Just Admitted Weed Has Never Killed Anyone and Causes ‘Happiness’

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) The
Drug Enforcement Agency just admitted that cannabis has never killed
anyone. Ever. They also acknowledged that the little green plant,
which has been used across civilizations for
thousands of years, causes “merriment” and “happiness.” But
they still want to keep it illegal.

The
new 94-page report
released this week is
entitled “Drugs of Abuse” and is intended to foster a better
understanding of the dangers of drug consumption. “Education
plays a critical role in preventing substance abuse,”
the document opens. “Drugs
of Abuse, A DEA Resource Guide, is designed to be a reliable resource
on the most commonly abused and misused drugs in the United States.”

While
the report correctly includes seriously dangerous drugs like heroin,
fentanyl, and pharmaceutical opioids, it also includes substances
increasingly proven to be far less harmful than the government would
like its citizens to believe — “drugs” that actually have
medicinal properties. The report fails to acknowledge these benefits
throughout its in-depth explanations.

Nevertheless,
when it comes to cannabis, the DEA is surprisingly honest, at least
in part. Describing the plant for what it is — a “dry,
shredded green/brown mix of flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves”
— they note that “[n]o deaths from overdose of marijuana have
been reported.”

They
even acknowledge that cannabis use can cause “[m]erriment,
happiness, and even exhilaration at high doses,” as well as
“[d]isinhibition, relaxation, increased sociability, and
talkativeness.” The illegal, allegedly dangerous substance even
causes — gasp — “[e]nhanced sensory perception, giving rise
to increased appreciation of music, art, and touch.”

Of
course, the report focuses far more on the “dangerous” effects of
the plant, including bronchitis, emphysema, paranoia, anxiety, panic
attacks, and a litany of other alleged dangers. Despite the fact that
research has found marijuana use has few significant effects on lung
health —
far less than legal tobacco
use —
and the fact that mounting evidence shows varieties of cannabis like
CBD (cannabidiol) can help treat anxiety and
other mental
health ailments,
the DEA displays no such nuance in their explanations, instead
appearing to base their assessment of safety on the legality of
the drug.

For
example, though they claim cannabis can cause nausea, they go on to
explain in the very same section that “Marinol, a synthetic
version of THC, the active ingredient found in the marijuana plant,
can be prescribed for the control of nausea and vomiting caused by
chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of cancer and to
stimulate appetite in AIDS patients.”

Wait,
what?

Indeed,
though cannabis is indisputably a form of medicine, whether for
nausea, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, Crohn’s disease, chronic
pain, or countless other disorders, the DEA insists that because it
is a Schedule I drug, it has no medicinal value.

The
same pattern emerges with psychedelic drugs, which the federal
government also claims have no medicinal value despite increasing
evidence that MDMA can help treat PTSD (the FDA itself has
authorized research into
the drug’s potential for helping those who suffer with it) and that
psychedelic mushrooms and LSD can
help treat depression.

None
of this is acknowledged in the report. Instead, myths that they are
addictive and dangerous abound.

Further,
conspicuously absent from “Drugs of Abuse” is one of the most
dangerous, addictive, and harmful drugs in the history of mankind:
alcohol. According to
the government, itself, alcohol is responsible for
88,000 deaths per year in the United States, and 15.1 million
Americans suffer from “Alcohol Use Disorder.” But the substance
remains legal. Interestingly, the alcohol
industry remains
one of the largest anti-marijuana legalization lobbies.

The
agency’s dogmatic adherence to arbitrary law is the reason why
alcohol is excluded from this comprehensive attempt to educate
Americans on the dangers of substance abuse. As the report explains
in the introduction, “There are also a number of substances that
are abused but not regulated under the CSA [Controlled Substance
Act]. Alcohol and tobacco, for example, are specifically exempt from
control by the CSA,” and are therefore not included in “Drugs
of Abuse.”

Other
hypocrisies abound. For example, the report lists benzodiazepines
like Xanax as potentially addictive drugs, noting that those who use
“benzodiazepines
to treat anxiety are likely to be physically dependent on that
medication.” But
according to the CSA, on which they base their entire drug
enforcement agenda, drugs like Xanax have “low
potential for abuse and low risk of dependence.”
This is patently false, as 13.5 million Americans are dependent
on drugs
like Xanax,
overdoses are on the rise, and side effects of quitting the
drug include heart
palpitations, panic attacks, and seizures in extreme cases. Yet the
DEA, which enforces the CSA, admits in its own report that Xanax
causes physical dependency.

Ultimately,
while the DEA admits cannabis has never caused deaths and can make
for a good deal of “merriment” and “exhilaration,” the most
telling aspect of the report is the futility of banning drugs in the
first place. The exclusion of alcohol from this report — except the
countless instances where it acknowledges that the drug can
intensify other drug
experiences — shows the federal government’s tirades against
“drugs” have nothing to do with keeping people safe. Prohibition
in the 1920s proved
this,
and the ongoing failure that is the “War on Drugs” continues to
prove it today.

Even
abusing the dangers of cannabis, MDMA, and other drugs the DEA lists
in its report are accurate, the fact remains that other legal drugs
pose just as many, if not more dangers, and individuals should be
free to take risks with their own health, just as they are with
alcohol and tobacco.

Legal
or not, people will find ways to use drugs, and while the authors of
“Drugs of Abuse” likely have good intentions, their efforts are
futile in their lack of honesty about many of the substances listed
and their continued belief that more government and throwing
non-violent people in cages will solve the deeply-rooted problem of
addiction.
