Scott Ritter, voormalig VN-wapeninspecteur: Iran verdient de eer voor het verslaan van ISIS

In het hieronder opgenomen artikel, geschreven door voormalig VN-wapeninspecteur Scott Ritter en eerder gepubliceerd op The American Conservative, stelt hij dat niet de VS, maar vooral Iran de eer toekomt van het verslaan van IS in zowel Irak als Syrië…..
Ritter verhaalt over het ontstaan van IS en alle daarbij behorende gore spelletjes van de VS, waarbij hij de VS in feite beschuldigt van het beschermen van en samenwerken met IS, al was het alleen om Assad af te kunnen zetten en nu als stok tegen Iran te gebruiken…….. Intussen heeft IS al een paar aanslagen gepleegd in Iran (met de hulp van de CIA). Over de CIA gesproken: de VS heeft toegegeven dat het al jaren bezig is om de oppositie in Iran te steunen en op te zetten tegen de regering……. Zo zijn ook de zogenaamde opstanden die de laatste jaren in Iran plaatsvonden (uiterst gewelddadige ‘opstanden’), georganiseerd door de CIA…..
Scott Ritter was VN-wapeninspecteur voorafgaand aan de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak in 2003. Keer op keer liet hij de VN, de reguliere (massa-) media en politici weten dat Irak niet langer de beschikking had over ‘massavernietigingswapens en dat dit uit en te na was onderzocht door hem en z’n team, waarbij Ritter uiteindelijk zijn gelijk haalde….. Lullig genoeg haalde hij z’n gelijk, pas lang nadat de VS Irak aanviel….* Deze illegale oorlog van de VS betekende de dood van meer dan nu al 1,5 miljoen mensen (in feite is de oorlog in Irak nog steeds gaande….)….. Ach ja, de VS: de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde…….

But is the U.S. now allowing its last remnants to survive in Syria to spite Tehran?

Until recently the United States viewed the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, as a major threat to regional stability in the Middle East. Barack Obama made it a mission to roll back ISIS’s territorial and propagandistic gain, and Donald Trump campaigned on a promise to “kick ISIS’s ass.” The United States expended considerable effort, both military and political, in a campaign to defeat the terror group in Iraq and, to a lesser extent, in Syria.
But there is also no doubt that the bulk of the effort came from Iran, not the United States. Without Iranian involvement, ISIS would still have a formidable presence in both Iraq and Syria.
ISIS was born out of the ashes of the American invasion of Iraq. Their rise was the logical extension of a process that saw the fabric of secular Sunni society torn asunder by an American occupier unwilling to further empower a Sunni ruling elite that had been loyal to Saddam Hussein. Washington failed to understand the resentment engendered within the Sunni community when Iraq’s Shia, some of whom were beholden to Iran, came to power.
Traditional Sunni tribal power structures were eviscerated as a result, only to be replaced with radicalized Sunni youths beholden to only themselves. Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) was al-Qaeda in name only—its mission wasn’t to export jihad to the West, but to free Iraq from the grips of an American and Iranian occupation.
America’s campaign against AQI never resulted in that movement’s destruction. Instead, the United States, in an effort to free itself of the burden of war created when it invaded Iraq in the first place, withdrew from Iraq in 2012, leaving the final phase of AQI’s destruction in the hands of the Iraqi government. This period coincided with the start of the civil unrest in Syria and the creation of a radicalized Islamist opposition to Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad. The willingness to cede large swaths of Syrian territory to Islamist forces as a means of destabilizing Assad created the conditions for the birth of ISIS in the deserts of both central Syria and western Iraq.
When ISIS advanced on the Iraqi cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, the American-trained and -equipped Iraqi army was unable to halt its advance. Soon the major city of Mosul fell to ISIS, and its forces pushed down the Tigris River valley to the outskirts of Baghdad.
The story of Iraq’s struggle to form a viable resistance to ISIS in the aftermath of the fall of Mosul is little known, and even less appreciated, by the United States. The formation of so-called “Popular Mobilization Forces,” or PMF—organized at the behest of Iraq’s senior Shia leadership, and trained, equipped, and led by Iran—was the single most important factor behind the halting of ISIS’s drive on Baghdad and its eventual eviction from Iraqi territory.
Western media have paid a disproportionate amount of attention to the actions of a select few American-trained Iraqi security forces, which, with ample support from U.S. airpower and advisors, helped end fighting in and around Mosul. All the while, they’ve ignored that the lion’s share of the fighting was done by the Iranian-directed PMF. This fact was not lost on the Iraqi people, many of whom (though not many of the Sunnis) hold the PMF in the highest regard. This sentiment has propelled many of the senior leadership of the PMF into political prominence in Baghdad.
For Iran, the ISIS phenomenon is not limited to Iraq. It is seen as part and parcel of a concerted effort undertaken by the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf Arab nations to overthrow Assad in Syria, diminish the power and influence of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and roll back Iranian influence in both Syria and Iraq. ISIS’s geographic presence in Syria, concentrated as it was in the central and northeastern deserts, made it a secondary target compared to the al-Qaeda affiliates operating in and around Aleppo and Damascus.
As the Syrian government, with the assistance of Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah, gained the upper hand in the fight against the American- and Saudi-backed al-Qaeda groups, however, the importance of ISIS as a source of anti-regime resistance grew. While ISIS never had the power to challenge Damascus directly, the efforts undertaken by the Syrian coalition to defeat ISIS diverted resources needed in the larger fight. As such, the continued existence of a viable ISIS presence on Syrian soil was deemed an acceptable outcome by the United States as it sought to contain Iran’s presence on Syrian soil.
ISIS in Syria lingers on, despite the fact that U.S. military power could ensure its almost immediate elimination. The reason for the stay of execution is not entirely clear, but it could well be that the U.S. sees ISIS as a useful foil against Iran. Efforts by the United States to roll back Iran’s presence inside Syria have recently become more volatile in the wake of fiery rhetoric from senior Trump administration officials and actions undertaken by Iran to harden their positions. The American policy of Iranian rollback includes the re-imposition of economic sanctions and support for opposition groups opposed to the Iranian theocracy.
The latter point is very sensitive. This sensitivity has only been heightened by remarks from Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman suggesting that any struggle for influence between Riyadh and Tehran ought to take place “inside Iran, not in Saudi Arabia,” and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s encouraging Iranian Arab minorities to rise up in opposition to the Iranian government.
When gunmen linked to ISIS attacked a military parade in the Iranian city of Ahvaz, killing and wounding dozens, the Iranian government was quick to blame the United States and Saudi Arabia, among others, and promise retaliation in kind. This prompted National Security Advisor John Bolton to declare to Iran that “there will indeed be hell to pay” if Iran or its proxies attacked the U.S. or its allies.
A few days later, Iranian rockets were launched, not against American targets in Basra, but locations in Syria linked to ISIS. While the Iranian strike was in clear retaliation for the Ahvaz attack, the rockets were emblazoned with slogans hostile to the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. This made it clear that the strike was meant for a broader audience. Among those who took notice were the American forces located a mere three miles away from the targets struck by the Iranians.
Rising tensions and strong rhetoric, if not carefully managed, could easily lead to an unintended—and dangerous—escalation of hostilities. This could test President Donald Trump’s uncertain appetite for direct conflict. Moreover, the American effort to stir up an Iranian opposition could do more to unite competing power factions within Iran’s leadership, and unite Iranians behind that leadership, than to divide and weaken the Iranian polity. The Trump administration seems to operate under the delusion that Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, are operating in different spheres with somewhat disparate interests. U.S. efforts to drive a wedge between Rouhani and Khamenei will not only prove fruitless, but backfire, closing the door to any potential negotiations and cementing a hardline response that will have Rouhani, the IRGC, and the supreme leader united in their opposition.
The United States is engaged in a dangerous double game with ISIS that is not only hypocritical in the extreme—given the 9/11 attacks on American soil that precipitated this whole sorry affair—but counterproductive to American national security interests. It has both empowered and legitimized the very Iranian theocracy it seeks to contain.
Rather than relying on ISIS as a foil to blunt Iranian influence in Syria and terrorize its citizenry at home, the Trump administration should recognize the positive role that Iran has played in defeating ISIS. It should build upon that recognition to craft a wider regional peace process that both recognizes the realities inherent in Syria today and reduces the tensions that prompt Iran to lean forward in such an aggressive manner. Unfortunately, such thinking seems beyond the capabilities of Mike Pompeo and John Bolton. As such, America will continue to pursue poorly thought out policies with no chance of success without any thought to either cost or consequence.
Scott Ritter is a former Marine Corps intelligence officer who served in the former Soviet Union implementing arms control treaties, in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm, and in Iraq overseeing the disarmament of WMD.

Een smerig spel dat zoals gezegd was gebaseerd op leugens en bedrog, waarmee ze het grootste deel van het westerse volk achter deze schandalige illegale oorlog wisten te houden……… Vergeet niet dat ook wij Nederlanders via de belasting fiks hebben meebetaald aan deze oorlog, daar Nederland niet alleen in aanloop van deze illegale oorlog met een onderzeeboot inlichtingen verzamelde voor de VS, maar vervolgens gaf Nederland naast politieke steun, ook militaire steun aan deze oorlog, ofwel militairen op de grond….. Ook Nederlandse F16’s hebben lang steun verleend aan deze vuile oorlog, wat zeg ik: Nederland verleent nog steeds steun aan die oorlog met F16’s en met het trainen van het Iraakse leger……

MI6 bezig met voorbereiding van een chemische aanval in Idlib

De republikeinse senator Richard (‘Dick’) Black heeft op het arabisch tv station Al Mayadeen gemeld dat MI6 bezig is met de voorbereiding van een chemische aanval in Idlib. Black zei verder dat e.e.a. al een maand bekend is….. Volgens Black kan het gaan om een echte aanval met gifgas, of een gespeelde, ofwel een ‘false flag’ operatie, waar de schuld in beide gevallen bij Assad zal worden gelegd…. Black beweert dat er al met ‘acteurs’ wordt geoefend hoe ze slachtoffer moeten spelen en wordt met hen getraind op de symptomen van een gifgasaanval (die ze moeten tonen)……

Daarover gesproken: volgens Black zijn meerdere gifgasaanvallen, die de laatste jaren werden gepleegd, ‘false flag’ operaties, deze werden met hulp van de White Helmets uitgevoerd…. Dit was overigens al bekend*, zoals ook bekend is dat men bezig is een gifgasaanval voor te bereiden in Idlib, dit door de herhaaldelijke waarschuwingen aan het adres van Assad geen gifgasaanval uit te voeren, waarschuwingen van psychopaten als Bolton….**

Dergelijke waarschuwingen van de VS werden eerder gedaan in aanloop van gifgasaanvallen, aanvallen waar het Syrische leger niets mee te winnen had, alleen al door het simpele feit dat dit leger aan de winnende hand was (zonder gifgas gebruik)…….

De Amerikaanse staatssenator Richard Black heeft opvallende uitspraken gedaan op de Arabisch tv over een nauwe bondgenoot van de Verenigde Staten. Black zei dat MI6, de Britse inlichtingendienst, een chemische aanval voorbereidt op Syrische burgers die vervolgens in de schoenen van Assad zal worden geschoven.
“Vier weken geleden wisten we al dat het Britse inlichtingenapparaat toewerkte naar een chemische aanval waar de Syrische overheid vervolgens de schuld van zou krijgen,” zei Black op de Arabische nieuwszender Al Mayadeen.
Acteurs
Hij zei later dat de Britten de aanval niet zelf zullen uitvoeren, maar dat laten doen door rebellen.
Een andere mogelijkheid is dat ze de aanval in scène zetten en acteurs gebruiken, aldus Black.
Hij zei ook dat eerdere gifgasaanvallen in Syrië nep waren. Die waren volgens hem uitgevoerd door Groot-Brittannië, met hulp van de Syrische Witte Helmen.
Nepaanval
“Ze bereiden een nepaanval voor, geen echte,” zei hij. “Ze hebben mensen getraind om te doen alsof ze slachtoffer van een gasaanval zijn.”
“Het plan is om de Witte Helmen, die steeds betrokken zijn geweest bij deze misleidingen, de aanval te laten uitvoeren,” vervolgde hij.
Het Amerikaanse ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken noemde de beschuldigingen van Black ‘schandalig’.

Buffer
Hij had onlangs voor de tweede keer een ontmoeting met de Syrische president Bashar al-Assad.
Black, een Vietnamveteraan en voormalige Pentagon-advocaat, zegt hem te zien als beschermer van Syrische christenen en buffer tegen islamitisch extremisme.

 Hier nog een terzake doende PS van het bericht dat ik gisteren plaatste: ‘‘Gematigde’ terreurgroepen in Syrië kregen Nederlands belastinggeld om te moorden, verkrachten, martelen en om te roven…….‘
PS: nu loopt de hysterie weer op rond de aanstaande aanval van het Syrische leger op Idlib, terwijl niemand kijkt naar de terreur die de daar aanwezige terreurgroepen (‘gematigde rebellen’) uitoefenen op de oorspronkelijke bevolking…. Waar al helemaal niet naar wordt gekeken is het vasthouden van vluchtelingen door de terreurgroepen in Idlib, zoals ze dit keer op keer in het verleden hebben gedaan, mensen die wilden vluchten door corridors van het Syrische leger, werden doodgeschoten door sluipschutters van die ‘gematigde rebellen…’
Het aantal vluchtelingen in Idlib wordt zwaar overdreven en men vergeet voor het gemak dat onder die vluchtelingen zich vooral de gezinnen van terroristen bevinden…….


Vandaag of morgen zal er gegarandeerd een gifgasaanval plaatsvinden in Idlib, daar heeft de VS bij wijze al om gesmeekt bij deze terreurgroepen (die zoals gezegd beschikken over gifgas, met medeweten van de westerse regeringen)…….. Deze gifgasaanval zou wel eens het begin van een oorlog tussen de VS en Rusland kunnen inluiden, daar Putin al te vaak over z’n hart heeft gestreken, zelfs bij de moedwillige moord op zo’n 100 Russische vrijwilligers door terreurentiteit VS, of het neerhalen van een Russische jager door terreurstaat Turkije…… (ofwel als Putin niet volledig zijn gezicht wil verliezen zal Rusland moeten ingrijpen als de VS weer onterecht Syrische bases aanvalt, na de zoveelste false flag gifgasaanval…….)

VN rapport: de VS geeft ISIS de ruimte in door VS illegaal bezet gebied in Syrië…..

Door te zorgen dat IS zich nog in een paar kleine stukken van Syrië kan handhaven, denkt de VS zich een legitimatie te kunnen verschaffen voor haar illegale aanwezigheid in Syrië……

De VS bombardeert IS zogenaamd, maar geeft al een paar dagen van te voren aan waar het gaat bombarderen, zodat IS geen verliezen lijdt……. Dezelfde tactiek gebruikte de VS voor het
voet aan de grond zetten in Syrië en voordat de Russen de democratisch gekozen regering van Syrië te hulp schoot tegen de smerige en barbaarse terreur die IS en andere, door westerse media en politici ‘gematigde rebellen’ genoemde, terreurgroepen uitoefenden op haar bevolking…….
Ook in Irak heeft de VS meermaals gebieden gebombardeerd waar letterlijk geen hond aanwezig was (woestijngebied)……. Er zijn zelfs een flink aantal getuigen die hebben gezien dat de VS terreurgroep IS bevoorraadde in Irak…. Voorts heeft de VS meerdere keren IS troepen een vrijgeleide gegeven vanuit Irak en hen begeleid naar Syrisch grondgebied, zodat ze daar het zo door de VS gehate Syrische bewind* konden bestrijden (en ach de mensen die door IS werden gemarteld, verkracht en vermoord, niets meer of minder dan bijkomende schade ‘voor het goede doel, moet je maar denken….’)….

Toen Rusland begin oktober 2015 Syrië te hulp schoot, werden IS en andere terreurgroepen als Al Qaida Syrië (o.a. al-Nusra), naast de succesvolle strijd tegen deze groepen door de Koerden in Syrië, voor het eerst goed bestreden en bereikten de Russen in een paar maanden tijd meer dan de VS in meer dan een jaar tijd had ‘gepresteerd….’**
Het is meer dan duidelijk dat de VS troepen wil behouden in Syrië, niet alleen om Syrië op te kunnen delen en zo de macht van het wettige Syrische bewind te breken, maar ook voor een eventuele aanval op Iran……… (Syrië grenst ook aan Iran)
De plekken waar IS zich nog ophoudt liggen in door de VS beheerst gebied en niet zelden grijpt de VS in als het reguliere Syrische leger IS aanvalt…… De VS heeft zelfs dorpen gebombardeerd die trouw waren aan de door hen gekozen Syrische regering en weigerden doorgang te verlenen aan de door de VS gesteunde terroristen (‘rebellen’) groepen van o.a. de Qasad militie, bestaande uit strijders die voorheen voor IS terreur uitoefenden op de Syrische bevolking……..

ISIS Given ‘Breathing Space’ in US-Occupied Areas of Syria: UN Report

By maintaining an ISIS pocket in the territory it occupies, the U.S. can continue to justify its illegal presence in the country for the long-term, ultimately substituting Iran for ISIS as its new regional boogeyman.
(MPN Op-ed) — A recent report from the UN Security Council’s Sanctions Monitoring Team has found that many of the places in Syria where the terror group Daesh (ISIS) continues to operate, recuperate and extract oil for profit are in areas of the country occupied by the United States.
According to the report’s executive summary:

“Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), having been defeated militarily in Iraq and most of the Syrian Arab Republic during 2017, rallied in early 2018 [owing to] a loss of momentum by forces fighting it in the east of the Syrian Arab Republic, which prolonged access by ISIL to resources and gave it breathing space to prepare for the next phase of its evolution into a global covert network.”

While the text itself doesn’t explicitly state who controls these areas of Syrian territory, maps of eastern Syria make it clear that the pockets of Daesh within U.S.-controlled territory have remained unchanged in size since November 2017 while the Daesh pockets in the Syrian government-controlled portion of eastern Syria have shrunk considerably since last November.

Furthermore, the UN report states that the areas where Daesh has rallied since the year began are located in “pockets of territory in the Syrian Arab Republic on the Iraqi border” where the group has mounted “attacks, including across the border into Iraq.” Again, area maps clearly show that the Daesh-controlled areas in only the U.S.-occupied portion of eastern Syria are along the Syria-Iraq border.
Notably, in the sliver of Daesh-controlled land between U.S. and Syrian government-controlled areas in the border city of Abu Kamal, when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has tried to attack Daesh positions in the area this year, they have been targeted by U.S. coalition airstrikes. U.S. coalition airstrikes have also attacked Syrian civilian villages in the government-controlled portion of Abu Kamal. Survivors of that attack claimed that their villages had been targeted for refusing the entry of the U.S.-backed opposition militias — such as the Qasad militia, which is largely composed of former Daesh fighters.
U.S. coalition airstrikes targeting the SAA in Abu Kamal and elsewhere in eastern Syria have also been the key cause of the “loss of momentum” of forces fighting Daesh that was cited in the UN report, as Syrian forces have declined to advance deep into U.S.-held territory in order to pursue Daesh after being bombed numerous times. In addition, the U.S.’ own bombing campaign against Daesh can hardly be called effective given that the U.S., along with their military proxy the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), frequently announce on social media when and where they will be bombing Daesh in eastern Syria days in advance.

 Beyond eastern Syria, the report also notes that another Daesh-infested area of concern is also located farther south in the area around the al-Tanf military base, which has been occupied by the United States since 2016. The UN report raises concerns about the Rukban refugee camp, which lies within the so-called “deconfliction” zone that the U.S. has imposed on a 55-kilometer radius around al-Tanf.

The report states:

“The densely populated Rukban camp in southern Syrian Arab Republic contains some 80,000 internally displaced persons, including families of ISIL fighters, a situation which Member States fear might generate new ISIL cells.”

As with other Daesh-held areas under U.S. “protection,” the U.S. has attacked the SAA for attempting to enter the U.S.’ unilaterally-imposed “deconfliction” zone in an effort to attack Daesh militants.
Washington’s Daesh-Dependent Long-Game
The evidence that the U.S. presence in Syria is actually helping to strengthen Daesh flies in the face of the Pentagon’s justification for the U.S.’ occupation of northeastern Syria as being necessary because the Syrian government is not strong enough to defeat Daesh on its own.
However, as the recent UN report reveals, the Pentagon’s portrayal does not appear to be the reality of the situation.
As MintPress has noted in the past, this finding is hardly surprising given that the Defense Intelligence Agency report from 2012 revealed that the U.S. willingly allowed Daesh to be formed in order to destabilize the Syrian government and partition Syria through foreign military intervention. Since then, the U.S. has adapted its justifications for its presence in Syria, particularly after the failure of Daesh and foreign-funded opposition groups to depose the current government of Syria.
By maintaining a Daesh pocket in the territory it occupies, the U.S. can continue to justify its illegal presence in the country for the long-term. Indeed, just last month, the Trump administration made it clear that the U.S. military plans to stay in Syria for the long haul, substituting Iran for Daesh as its new regional boogeyman.

VS blijft burgerslachtoffers maken in zucht naar een machtspositie in Syrië…

Bij een luchtaanval van de VS in Syrië zijn naar schatting rond de 30 burgers vermoord…… De aanval was gericht op 2 steden in de buurt van Abu Kamal ten oosten van de Eufraat (rivier), in het grensgebied van Syrië en Irak.

In mei kondigde de VS nog aan de aanvallen op IS groepen te verhogen, echter wat het VS commando onder IS verstaat zijn allesbehalve IS terroristen, maar Syrische burgers in voor de VS strategische gebieden….. Gebieden die ofwel in handen zijn van het reguliere Syrische leger, dan wel gebieden die in handen van dit leger dreigen te vallen en waar de VS volkomen lak heeft aan burgerslachtoffers…… De VS erkent nog ontkent verantwoordelijk te zijn voor de luchtaanvallen, maar stelt dat het mogelijk zou kunnen zijn (….)* Wat betreft de slachtoffers: hetzelfde geldt voor de slachtoffers, die zijn vermoord tijdens de aanvallen van de VS tegen het reguliere Syrische leger en/of aan haar gelieerde groepen……..

 De VS kon e.e.a. niet duidelijker maken dan door de steden Al-Souseh en AL-Baghouz Fowqani aan te vallen, daar deze steden weigerden doorgang te verlenen aan door de VS gesteunde terreurgroepen…. Volgens de media waren er onder de slachtoffers IS strijders, echter dat ontkennen de bewoners van die steden in alle toonaarden……. Voorts bevatten de aan de VS gelieerde terreurgroepen steeds vaker oud-IS strijders……..

Tja, Syrië is nog altijd een soevereine staat met een democratisch gekozen president, ofwel Syrië heeft alle recht om haar, door illegale groepen en landen (zoals de VS) ingenomen gebieden te bevrijden. Waar de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen, moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die worden gesteund door het westen, hun vreselijke terreur uitoefenen op de Syrische bevolking en daarbij zelfs de sharia wetgeving gebruiken (of moet je spreken over misbruiken??)
Het is intussen wel duidelijk dat de VS zich niet zal terugtrekken uit Syrië en dat de wil van deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde de daar strategische posities te behouden, tot nog veel meer bloedvergieten zal leiden….. Dit door de VS dat één op één verantwoordelijk is voor de opstand die tot het vele bloedvergieten en de oorlog in Syrië hebben geleid….. (de eerste aanzetten van de VS tot het omverwerpen van het Assad bewind middels een opstand die tot een coup moesten leiden, dateren al van 2006…)
Tijd dat het lamme orgaan, aangeduid met de naam Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) eindelijk eens actie onderneemt tegen de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS. Deze vereniging van terreurstaten is vanaf 1945 tot nu verantwoordelijk voor meer dan 22 miljoen moorden….**
Tijd ook dat de rest van de wereld zich verenigt tegen de VS, aan het ongebreideld bloedvergieten door deze terreurstaat moet eindelijk eens een eind komen!! (2 vliegen in 1 klap: zo hoeven mensen niet langer te vluchten naar de EU voor door de VS gestarte illegale oorlogen…..)

 In het volgende artikel van Whitney Webb, eerder gepubliceerd op MintPress News, noemt ze het Syrisch Observatorium voor de Mensenrechten (SOHR), jammer daar dit SOHR een propagandaorgaan is voor een aantal terreurgroepen in Syrië en zeker niet zou mogen worden genoemd door journalisten die hun werk wel serieus nemen, dit in tegenstelling tot de journalisten van de reguliere (massa-) media, die zogenaamd onafhankelijk zijn…. De journalisten die hun werk wel serieus nemen zijn voor het overgrote deel te vinden op de sociale media, vandaar ook het gezeur in de politiek en in die reguliere media over ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws), daar die reguliere media steeds meer publiek verliezen…… De politiek bemoeit zich hiermee daar de reguliere media brave vertolkers en verdedigers zijn van de westerse agressie elders…….

US Airstrike Kills 54 Civilians in Syria in Push to Control Syrian Border

With the U.S. now unable to prevent Syrian government control of the Syria-Jordan border, Friday’s strikes are a sign that the U.S. effort to oust the Syrian government from Abu Kamal is likely to only grow stronger as its occupation of Syrian territory faces an uncertain future.
(MPN) Around midnight on Friday, U.S.-led coalition warplanes in Syria conducted intensive airstrikes near Abu Kamal in the Deir ez-Zor province, with estimates of civilian casualties ranging from 30 to 54. Syrian state media agency SANA has claimed that at least 30 were killed and that most of the dead were women and children. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), often cited by international and particularly Western media, has asserted that 54 were killed.
According to local reports, the U.S.-led coalition strikes targeted the towns of al-Souseh and al-Baghouz Fowqani, east of the Euphrates river in the countryside around Abu Kamal. The bombings resulted in dozens of houses in the towns collapsing, resulting in numerous civilian deaths, as whole families were crushed by the rubble while they were sleeping.
The U.S. coalition did not confirm or deny its role in the strike, stating only that it “may have” been responsible. However, the bombing comes after the coalition announced in early May it would intensify airstrikes targeting Daesh (ISIS), particularly in Eastern Syria along the Syria-Iraq border. Abu Kamal, where last night’s strikes took place, is a strategic border town on the Syria-Iraq border and is the only Syria-Iraq border crossing currently controlled by Syrian government forces.
Western media reports have claimed that Daesh militants were among the dead, but survivors of the attack contest this claim, instead suggesting that they had been targeted for their unwillingness to cooperate with local U.S.-backed militias. Locals told SANA that U.S. claims that the strikes were intended to target Daesh were false and instead suggested that two towns had been targeted for refusing the entry of the U.S.-backed opposition militias, particularly the Qasad militia.
Reports in Arabic media from earlier this year (English translation) have claimed to provide evidence that many former Daesh members have joined the Qasad militia, both in the province of Deir Ez-Zor and al-Hasakah. Such reports are consistent with U.S. support for other militia groups, such as the Deir Ez-Zor Military Council (DMC), that also include significant numbers of former Daesh fighters who had surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the proxy force of the coalition, over the course of the past year.

Losing influence elsewhere in Syria, the U.S. sets sights on Abu Kamal

The strike comes at a delicate time for the U.S. coalition in Syria, as its most important alliances, which enable its occupation of more than 30 percent of Syrian territory, threaten to dissolve while local resistance to the presence of foreign troops continues to grow.
MintPress has recently reported on these developments — regarding first the rise of local resistance to the U.S. presence from Arab and Kurdish tribes in U.S.-occupied Syria, and then the agreement between the Syrian government and factions of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG, the backbone of the U.S. proxy force, the SDF) behind the back of the U.S. coalition. Both developments threaten to make the U.S. occupation of Syrian territory not only ultimately unsustainable but indeed short-lived.
The U.S. has also lost influence elsewhere in Syria, particularly in Syria’s south owing to the Syrian government’s recent, highly successful campaign in the area. The offensive has seen the Syrian government reclaim nearly all of the Syrian-Jordan border and is likely to result in the U.S. abandoning its long-standing presence in al-Tanf, the strategic area where the borders of Syria, Jordan and Iraq meet.
The U.S. has maintained a military base at al-Tanf, where it has trained proxy fighters for the past several years, and has occupied a 34-mile zone surrounding that facility. Losing that location is a blow to U.S. influence in Syria and would mean a consolidation of U.S. occupation forces in the Eastern portion of Syria nominally controlled by the SDF.
For that reason, the recent strikes on Abu Kamal are notable, as they build on other recent coalition strikes in the area. Indeed, there is no Daesh presence in Abu Kamal aside from the pockets of Daesh that intermittently attack the Syrian government-held city from the area of Syria occupied by the U.S.
In addition, recent coalition bombings in and around Abu Kamal have shown that these strikes have nothing to do with wiping out Daesh. For instance, another recent coalition strike in the Abu Kamal area, which took place last month, did not target Daesh at all but instead Syrian government forces and allied Iraqi militias. Though the U.S. never publicly admitted responsibility for the attack and an anonymous U.S. official had blamed the strike on Israel, forensic evidence analyzed and collected by Iraqi forces showed that the U.S. was indeed responsible.
The U.S. interest in Abu Kamal is aimed at wresting the strategic outpost from the control of the Syrian government, which would result in the Syrian government losing its only road access to both Iraq and Iran. Cutting off this supply line, particularly the connection between Syria and Iran, has long been acknowledged as an important U.S. goal in its occupation of Northeastern Syria.
With the U.S. now unable to prevent Syrian government control of the Syria-Jordan border, Friday’s strikes are a sign that the U.S. effort to oust the Syrian government from Abu Kamal is likely to only grow stronger as its occupation of Syrian territory faces an uncertain future. If the high death tolls from the recent strike are any indication, the U.S. seems to have few qualms about killing scores of civilians in pursuit of its geopolitical goals in Syria.

Eric Zuesse heeft een artikel geplaatst op de Strategic Culture Foundation, waarin hij ten overvloede (maar volkomen terecht) stelt dat de VS, met hulp van NAVO lidstaten Groot-Brittannië en Frankrijk, dood en verderf zaait in landen waar het niets te zoeken heeft…… (landen in het Midden-Oosten, waar ik in dit geval ook Libië en Afghanistan toe reken) Door deze grootschalige terreur zijn enorme stromen vluchtelingen op gang gekomen, vluchtelingen die hun heil zoeken in Europa en dan m.n. in de EU, niet alleen omdat dit de meest dichtstbijzijnde plek is waar men de oorlog definitief achter zich kan laten, maar ook omdat de VS botweg weigert vluchtelingen uit het Midden-Oosten op te nemen….. Dit was overigens in iets mindere mate al zo onder de Obama regering…..


Zuesse wijst op de leugens die het westerse publiek (inclusief het Nederlandse) dagelijks op haar bord geserveerd krijgt, zoals de leugens dat landen als Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, een gevaar vormen voor hun veiligheid…… Een leugen zo doortrapt, dat ze zelfs een volkomen omdraaiing van feiten is, immers de grootschalige westerse terreur in het Midden-Oosten zorgt juist voor terreur op de straten van vooral de EU…….
De hiervoor genoemde landen, vier landen kunnen zelfs amper worden gezien als een gevaar voor de hen omringende landen, waar alleen Irak als agressor kan worden aangewezen, dan wijs ik vooral op de oorlog van Irak tegen Iran in de 80er jaren, waar deze vooral de VS goed uitkwam, sterker nog: de VS heeft destijds Saddam Hoessein opgejut Iran aan te vallen…..

Nederland onderhield ook goede banden met Saddam Hoessein, zo kon VVD plork Bolkestein een exportvergunning afgeven voor de levering van onderdelen tot het bereiden van gifgas, iets waarvoor hij destijds uit en te na werd gewaarschuwd door deskundigen, daarmee is deze Bolkestein een enorme oorlogsmisdadiger!

The US Government (with France and a few other US allies) bombs Libya, Syria, etc.; and the US regime refuses to accept any of the resulting refugees — the burdens from which are now breaking the EU, and the EU is sinking in economic competition against America’s international corporations. America’s corporations remain blithely unscathed by not only the refugees that are breaking up the EU, but also by the EU’s economic sanctions against Russia, Iran, and other allies of governments that the US regime is trying to overthrow in its constant invasions and coups. The US Government makes proclamations such as “Assad must go!” — but by what right is the US Government involved, at all, in determining whom the leaders in Syria will be? Syria never invaded the US In fact, Syria never invaded anywhere (except, maybe, Israel, in order to respond against Israel’s invasions). Furthermore, all polling, even by Western pollsters, shows that Bashar al-Assad would easily win any free and fair election in Syria. The US Government claims to support democracy, but it does the exact opposite whenever they want to get rid of a Government that is determined to protect that nation’s sovereignty over its own national territory, instead of to yield it to the US regime, or to any other foreigners. The US regime has virtually destroyed the United Nations.
The US regime even refuses to provide restitution to Syria for its bombings, and for its arming and training of the jihadists — the fundamentalist Sunni mercenaries recruited from around the world — who are the US regime’s “boots on the ground” trying to overthrow Syria’s Government. Al Qaeda has led the dozens of jihadist groups that have served as the US regime’s “boots on the ground” to overthrow Assad, but Al Qaeda is good enough to serve the purpose, in the US regime’s view of things. The US regime says that there will be no restitution to Syria unless Syria accepts being ruled by ‘rebels’ whose leadership is actually being chosen by the US regime’s chief ally, the fundamentalist-Sunni Saud family, who already own Saudi Arabia, and who (along with the CIA) have been unsuccessfully trying, ever since 1949, to take over the committedly secular, non-sectarian, nation of Syria. In fact, the CIA perpetrated two of the three Syrian coups that were carried out in 1949.
The US regime, and its allies, have used the Muslim Brotherhood, in order to recruit into Syria the 100,000+ jihadists from around the world to fight to overthrow Syria’s secular Government. Even the BBC’s 13 December 2013 detailed report, “Guide to the Syrian rebels”, made clear that the “Syrian Rebels” were, in fact, overwhelmingly jihadist and largely recruited from abroad. These were hardly democrats. Even a Tony-Blair-founded anti-Assad NGO’s study concluded that “Sixty per cent of major Syrian rebel groups are Islamist extremists” (not just “Islamists” but “Islamist extremists”) and yet the Blair outfit still supported the overthrow of the committed secularist Assad (just as Blair had earlier participated himself in the US regime’s destruction of Iraq).
The fundamentalist-Sunni royal Thani family own Qatar and have been the top international funders of the Muslim Brotherhood, just as the fundamentalist-Sunni royal Saud family, who own Saudi Arabia, have been the top funders of Al Qaeda. The main difference between the Sauds and the Thanis has been that whereas the Sauds hate Shia (and that means especially Iran), the Thanis don’t. Thus, for the Sauds, this is a war against the Shia center, Iran, and not only against Syria. This war against Syria was a coordinated US-Saud-Thani operation, in which the fundamentalist-Sunni group, Al Qaeda, provided the leadership but the (pan-Islamic) fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood provided the largest recruiting website. This entire hyper-aggressive operation was internationally coordinated. The Obama Administration started planning this operation, under Hillary Clinton, in 2010. As even the neoconservative (i.e., US-empire advocating) Washington Post reported, on 17 April 2011, from Wikileaks, “It is unclear whether the State Department is still funding Syrian opposition groups, but the cables indicate money was set aside [by the Obama Administration] at least through September 2010.” That article mentioned only “former members of the Muslim Brotherhood,” not the Muslim Brotherhood itself; and no mention was made in it to Al Qaeda, in any form.
Then, in 2013, the neoconservative Foreign Policy magazine headlined “How the Muslim Brotherhood Hijacked Syria’s Revolution” and was oblivious regarding the neoconservative Obama Administration’s having planned that “hijacking,” starting in 2010 (but going back even as far as Obama’s inauguration; this operation was a key part of his secret anti-Russia agenda, which preceded even his coming into office). But if Obama wasn’t neocon-enough to suit that magazine’s editors, then Trump certainly should be, because Trump continues Obama’s foreign policies but with an even more hostile thrust against the Sauds’ chief target, which is Iran. Above all, the US alliance’s goal has been for the Saud family’s selected (rabidly anti-Shiite) people to take over and run the Syrian Government. As Global Security has phrased this matter, “The High Negotiations Committee [which is the group who are negotiating against Assad’s government at the US-sponsored ‘peace’ talks] is a Saudi-backed coalition of Syrian opposition groups. The High Negotiations Committee (HNC) was created in Saudi Arabia in December 2015.”
So, this war in Syria has actually been the Sauds’ war to take over Syria. And it actually started in 1949, but the US-backed Muslim-Brotherhood-led “Arab Spring” in 2011 gave the US and its allies the opportunity to culminate it, finally.
The US regime has continued this thrust, under Obama’s successor. US President Donald Trump demands European corporations to end their business with Shiite Iran (which the Saud family is determined to take over), and to end their business with Russia, which America’s own billionaires themselves are determined to take over, just like the Sauds are determined to take over both Syria and Iran.
America is no actual ally of Europe. The Marshall Plan is long-since finished, and America has been taken over by psychopaths who are Europe’s main enemies, not Europe’s friends, at all. (They’re friends of some European aristocracies, but not of any European public, not of even merely one public.)
Iran and Russia should be Europe’s allies — they didn’t cause any of Europe’s problems. America did. America’s intelligence agencies tapped (and probably still tap) the phones of Germany’s Chancellor and practically everybody else, and yet the US regime has the gall to blame Russia for interfering in the political affairs of European countries. If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle ‘black’, then what is? If anything, the EU’s sanctions should be against doing business with American firms — not against doing business with Russian firms, or with Iranian firms. European politicians who support the US support Europe’s top enemy.
Russia is, itself, a European country, which additionally traverses much of Asia, but America is no European country, at all, and yet now is so brazen as to demand that Europe must do America’s bidding — not only against Russia, but also against the Sauds’ main target, which is Iran (the same main target as Israel’s).
Why are Europeans not asking themselves: Who is Europe’s enemy in all of this — what causes this refugee-crisis? The refugees certainly didn’t.
It’s not Russia, and it’s not Iran, and it’s not China; it is America — which is the true enemy of them all, and of us all — including even of the American people ourselves, because the US Government no longer actually represents the American people. These invasions, and military occupations, and coups, do not serve America’s public; they serve America’s aristocracy. The US is no longer (if it ever was) a democracy. The US Government now is the US aristocracy — not the US public. It’s a dictatorship. And, it has the type of ‘news’media that any dictatorship has.
On June 30th, the US aristocracy’s New York Times headlined “Bavaria: Affluent, Picturesque — and Angry”, and reported “the new angry center of Europe, the latest battleground for populists eager to bring down both Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and the idea of a liberal Europe itself.” Their elitist (pro-US-aristocracy) ‘reporter’ (actually propagandist) interviewed ‘experts’ who condemn Europe’s politicians that are trying to assuage their own public’s anger against the EU’s open-door policy regarding this flood of refugees from what is actually, for the most part, the US regime’s (and its allies’) bombings — air-support of the boots-on-the-ground jihadist mercenaries. The combination of this air-support, and of the jihadists, has been the backbone of the US-Saudi-Israeli effort to overthrow and replace Syria’s Government.
Libya was a similar case, but was only friendly toward Russia, not allied with Russia, as both Syria and Iran are.
The NYT article says — and I add here key explanatory links:
“This is not about economics,” said Gerald Knaus, the director of the European Stability Initiative, [and though unmentioned by the Times, “The Open Society Institute was a major core funder” of the ESI, which is] a Berlin-based think tank. “It is about identity and a very successful populist P.R. machine that is rewriting recent history.”
So: the Times was secretly (and they didn’t include any links to help online readers know who was actually funding their ‘experts’, at all) pumping NATO propaganda, as if it were authentic and neutral news-reporting, instead of craven service to the US aristocracy that controls the US Government and its NATO military alliance. This is the New York Times, itself, that is “rewriting recent history.” That’s how they do it — constantly (as ‘news’).

Though the Sauds, and also Israel’s aristocracy, are mainly anti-Iran, the US aristocracy are obsessed with their goal of conquering Russia. Since Iran, and Syria, are both allied with Russia, the US regime is trying to overthrow those Russia-allied Governments, before going in for the kill, against Russia itself. That’s what all of these economic sanctions, and the bombings and the backing of Al Qaeda for overthrowing Syria’s Government, are really all about.
Is this what today’s Europeans want their Governments to be doing — and doing it for that reason, the US aristocracy’s reason? Despite the huge harms it is certainly causing to Europeans?
Here, then, is a debate between, on the one hand a retired CIA official who thinks “Our relationship with Israel causes us war with Muslims,” versus Representatives in the US Congress who are actually representatives of Israel’s Government and definitely not representatives of the American people. Both sides in that debate are acceptable to the aristocrats who control the US Government, because neither side argues that the apartheid theocratic Government of Israel is an enemy of the American people (as is documented actually to be the case, here and here), nor that the entire problem of Islamic terrorism is fundamentalist-Sunni, and that only Israel gets hit by terrorism that’s from both Sunnis and Shiites — that Shiites (the US alliance’s targets) are no terrorist threat, at all, to Europeans (nor to Americans) — the “Islamist” threat is actually only from fundamentalist Sunnis, which are the very same groups that are secretly allied with America’s aristocracy and the Sauds. Neither side of the ‘debate’ acknowledges that both the Sauds and Israel (and Israel’s lobbyists represent internationally also the Sauds’ interests) are enemies both of the American people, and of the peoples of Europe.
As the world’s greatest blogger, the former UK Ambassador (but too honest to stay in that business) Craig Murray, recently said under the headline, “No Trump, No Clinton, No NATO”: “The destruction of Libya’s government and infrastructure directly caused the Mediterranean boat migrant crisis, which has poisoned the politics of much of the European Union.” But, of course, the US regime and its allies have also destroyed other countries than that — and thus caused refugees to Europe from many nations. And, finally, even the US Government (though as quietly as possible) acknowledges that it has destroyed Afghanistan. Ironically, that’s the very nation where America and the Sauds, in 1979, had started their war against all Governments that won’t buckle to them.
Furthermore, the US regime intends to keep it up. In case a reader might happen to think that, surely, the US regime and its allies are going to quit this rousing of hornets’ nests; Sharmine Narwani, who is one of the very few non-“embedded” journalists who reports in The West about — and (which the mainstream ones don’t) from — the war in Syria, headlined, on June 25th, “Are al-Qaeda Affiliates Fighting Alongside US Rebels in Syria’s South?” and she found that the answer to this question is a resounding yes:
Despite its US and UN designation as a terrorist organization, Nusra [Al Qaeda’s main name in Syria] has been openly fighting alongside the “Southern Front,” a group of 54 opposition militias funded and commanded by a US-led war room based in Amman, Jordan called the Military Operations Center (MOC). …
Sources inside Syria — both opposition fighters and Syrian military brass (past and present) — suggest the command center consists of the US, UK, France, Jordan, Israel, and some Persian Gulf states. … In practice, the US doesn’t appear to mind the Nusra affiliation — regardless of the fact that the group is a terror organization — as long as the job gets done.
These wars, which pour Middle Eastern (and also Ukrainian*) refugees into the EU, are inter-aristocratic conflicts reflecting inter-aristocratic competitions; and the publics everywhere suffer enormously from them. The gainers from it are very few but very rich (and they hire very powerful agents in Europe and elsewhere). Those billionaire gainers, and their agents, should be Europe’s targets — not Russia and Iran. NATO must end now. Europe needs to be freed, at last, from America’s permanent-war-for permanent-‘peace’ grip. For Europeans, who are the indirect victims, to be blaming the refugees, who are the direct victims, won’t solve anything, but will simply please the victimizers, as is the public’s ancient habit (to please the powerful). A break must be made, away from that ugly past. European publics must lead the way, or no one will.
PS: Since this article asserts such a large number of things that contradict what the US Government and its agents assert, I have sought out and here linked to the highest-quality, least-contested and most highly authenticated, sources and also to sources that link to such sources; all of which, taken together, constitute a book-length proof of the title-case here, that “America Bombs, Europe Gets the Refugees. Nu de aandacht voor Trump en Kim wegebt en men er algemeen vanuit gaat dat Assad niet zal aftreden als president, sterker nog: dat hij bij nu te houden verkiezingen zelfs met nog meer stemmen verkozen zal worden, is de kans levensgroot dat er weer een gebeurtenis staat te wachten, die in het westen tot hysterische reacties zal leiden……

Volgens het Russische ministerie van defensie, in de persoon van Lavrov’s (minister van defensie) woordvoerder en officier Igor Konashenkov, staat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ groep het vrije Syrische leger (psychopathische moordenaars) op het punt een voor de wereld in elkaar gedraaid scenario uit voeren, waar (alweer) een gifgasaanval aan het reguliere Syrische leger (‘en dus’ Assad..) zal worden toegeschreven…… Een dergelijke gang van zaken noemt men een ‘false flag’ operatie, operaties die vooral goed door de VS worden beheerst.

 Men kan het eenvoudigweg niet verkroppen dat Assad in feite de oorlog in Syrië voor zijn volk heeft gewonnen dat was immers niet de opzet van de o.a. door de VS georganiseerde opstand in Syrië (de eerste voorbereidingen daartoe werden al in 2006 onder Bush genomen)…..
De grote westerse radiostations (inclusief Radio1, al is dat niet groot, en de ‘onafhankelijke’ zendgemachtigden op die zender) citeren 9 van de 10 keer als het over Syrië gaat, het Syrische Observatorium voor Mensenrechten (SOHR), een vertegenwoordiger van de terreurgroepen in Syrië, die zoals gezegd door het westen worden aangeduid als gematigde rebellen…….

Het SOHR wordt geleid door een gewezen Syrische misdadiger die o.a. bekend staat als Osama Suleiman (tot voor kort was hij ook het enige personeelslid), die terechte gevangenisstraf in Syrië jammer genoeg heeft weten te voorkomen door te vluchten en zich bij de Britten te melden als ‘politiek vluchteling…’ Deze SOHR is er elke keer als de kippen bij om een gifgasaanval aan Assad toe te schrijven, zelfs als andere nieuwsmedia (wat SOHR niet is) nog bezig zijn berichten te controleren (als deze reguliere media dat al doen….), weet SOHR te melden dat het bij wijze van spreken Assad zelf was……..

 Het SOHR is dan ook niets anders dan een verlengstuk van een aantal terreurgroepen in Syrië….

Gezien het verleden valt het me nog mee dat er niet al eerder een gifgasaanval werd uitgevoerd (na Douma, maar nu echt met gifgas dat deze terreurgroepen met toestemming van het westen in bezit mogen houden…)……
Waarschijnlijk was men te verbaasd dat de zogenaamde gifgasanval op Douma zo makkelijk als waar werd geslikt door de een groot deel van de wereld……. De OPCW, een organisatie die nauw samenwerkt met de VN (een organisatie voor het verbod op kernwapens), heeft zonder opdracht onderzoek uitgevoerd in Douma* en vond net als eerdere deskundigen geen sporen van gifgas, sporen die na een echte aanval zeker zouden zijn achtergebleven…… In het hoofdkwartier van de OPCW te Den Haag hebben getuigen van deze zogenaamde gifgasaanval verklaringen afgegeven waarin wordt gesteld dat er geen sprake was van een gifgasaanval in Douma…….
Kijk ‘die fout’ maken de terreurgroepen in Syrië niet nog een keer >> de volgende keer zal er een groot aantal doden te betreuren zijn, deze zogenaamde gematigde rebellen hebben schijt aan mensenlevens, precies als de White Helmets, een steungroep van deze rebellen die de handen zelf ook vuilmaken aan oorlogsmisdaden……. (het beest Trump heeft de White Helmets een subsidie van 6 miljoen dollar toegekend, zo werd vanmorgen bekend gemaakt……)

Russia Warns of Impending Staged Chemical Attack in Syria

(ZHE Op-ed) — As the world’s attention was focused on Singapore and the historic Trump-Kim summit this week, and with broad media acknowledgement that Assad has won the war for Syria, the time could be ripe for some kind of major event to jolt the globe’s focus back to the war, now in its seventh year, which could be slowly winding down.
It seems to occur every time the Syrian Army is on a trajectory of overwhelming victory: an ill-timed and strategically nonsensical mass chemical attack on civilians supposedly ordered by Assad — inevitably giving the West an open door for military intervention, new rounds of crippling sanctions, and yet more international media condemnation heaped on Damascus.
And this week the Russian Defense Ministry has warned of just such a scenario. Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said early in the week that US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces are planning a “serious provocation” aimed at justifying a new round of Western coalition missile attacks against Syrian government bases and facilities.

Konashenkov, in a statement carried by Russian state-run TASS and subsequently featured in a One America News report, said “According to the information confirmed through three independent channels in Syria, the command of the so-called ‘Free Syrian Army’ aided by the forces of the US special ops units are preparing a serious provocation involving chemical warfare agents in the Deir ez-Zor province.”
The TASS media release explained further:

According to Konashenkov, FSA militants have delivered chlorine cylinders to the Syrian Deir ez-Zor province to simulate another “chemical attack against civilians.”

“After being published in western media a staged video is set to initiate a missile strike on Syria’s state facilities by the US-led coalition and justify an offensive operation by militants against Syrian governmental forces on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River,” he said, adding that Russia’s Defense Ministry warns that the use of such provocations for destabilization of the environment on the Syrian territory is unacceptable.

Though there’s currently no way to verify if such claims are true, and no “staged video” has yet to surface on the internet, the Russian Defense Ministry appears to be painting a potential future scenario much like last April’s chemical attack incident: it was video of mass civilian death which directly led to Western airstrikes on Syria.
A new One America News report features the Russian Defense Ministry claims:
After the Saudi-backed jihadist group Jaish al-Islam, working in tandem with the US/UK sponsored White Helmets, claimed a Syrian Army chemical attack against civilians in Douma on April 7, the US-led coalition launched over a hundred missiles on government facilities primarily in and around Damascus. This was done even as the UN and global chemical watchdog organization, the OPCW, said there were no independent observers on the ground to confirm whether or not a chemical attack even took place, much less who was to blame.
Some among the first group of journalists to gain entry inside Douma, located just outside Damascus, such as the UK Independent’s Robert Fisk and One America News Network’s Pearson Sharp, found no evidence that a chemical attack took place in Douma, contrary to what was widely reported in international media. A formal OPCW investigation is still ongoing.
Notably, Russia as well as some mainstream Western counter-terror experts have consistently pointed the finger at Jaish al Islam (JAI) for staging the Douma “chemical attack” in order to provoke the US military response. And prior reporting emerged in the aftermath that JAI itself had used chemical weapons against Kurdish militias in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud district in 2016 (and it appears that the Saudi-backed group openly admitted to carrying out prior chemical attacks according to The Daily Beast).
Russia further hosted a press briefing at OPCW headquarters in The Hague where witnesses came forward to say there was no chemical attack, but that respiratory problems from conventional weapons bombarding the town were made to look like chemical symptoms once Jaish al Islam and the White Helmets took over a local hospital and began filming.
The testimony was consistent with well-known Syrian opposition group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), which initially reported based on its own pro-rebel sourcing that heavy government bombardment of Douma city resulted in the collapse of homes and underground shelters, causing civilians in hiding to suffocate.
According to SOHR, which has long been a key go-to source for mainstream media over the course of the war, “70 of them [women and children] have suffered suffocation as a result of the demolition of home basements over them due to the heavy and intense shelling.”
Crucially, all of this occurred just days after President Trump declared he planned to order a complete US military pullout from Syria. And predictably, the April chemical provocation was just the thing that brought Trump’s planned pullout to a grinding halt, with Secretary of Defense James Mattis telling NATO leaders at the start of this week that he remains against a US withdrawal “before progress was made” — whatever that means.Assad is “here to stay”
Recently, the Washington Post issued a surprising admission, reluctantly declaring that that —“The writing is now indisputably on the wall: The Syrian regime is going nowhere,” according to widely circulated op-ed.
But if recent history provides a pattern for the future, once the media establishment and political leaders in the West begin acknowledging “Assad is here to stay,” this portends that a major regime change precipitating event is just around the corner.

Als ik ‘s nachts naar bed ga, zet ik meestal nog even BBC World Service aan op de radio. Zo ook gisternacht rond 1.10 u. Onmiddellijk werd mijn aandacht getrokken doordat de naam Vanessa Beeley werd genoemd, zij is één van de beste oorlogscorrespondenten, die bovendien nog het echte ‘handwerk’ doet………

Aan het woord o.a. professor Scott Lucas van de Birmingham University. Deze schoft stelde dat oorlogscorrespondent Beeley en Sarah Abdallah een Libanese pro-Assad twitteraar (o.a. SyriaHoax hashtag) veel kwaad doen met hun werk en noemde hen zelfs gevaarlijk….. Niet dat de twee ook maar één keer zijn veroordeeld vanwege geweldpleging……..

Tja als je tegenwoordig de waarheid vertelt en die is tegen de huidige status quo, waar Rusland, Syrië en Iran de grote boosdoeners zijn (en niet juist de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS), ben je ‘natuurlijk’ staatsgevaarlijk en al helemaal als je daarbij Saoedi-Arabië (met o.a. de hulp van de VS) verwijt een genocide uit te voeren in Jemen (wat werkelijk zo is!)….

Dat ‘staatsgevaarlijk’ is dan ook wat je na een paar minuten in de uitzending meekreeg (al werd dit woord niet gebruikt, die suggestie werd wel degelijk gewekt; het woord gevaarlijk werd overigens wel gebruikt)….. Groot-Brittannië steunt S-A met deze genocide, zoals de VS dat ook doet, waarbij de laatste nog net wat verder gaat, o.a.: -met troepen op de Jemenitische bodem, -het bijtanken van Saoedische straaljagers zodat deze zo efficiënt mogelijk de sjiieten kunnen bombarderen en -zeeblokkades uitvoeren voor de havens waar humanitaire goederen kunnen worden aangevoerd voor de lijdende sjiitische bevolking van Jemen…… Ach en dan weet je het wel, men is ook in universiteiten afhankelijk van de overheid, zeker wat betreft wetgeving t.a.v. studie enz., dus dan ga je als ‘professor’ niet tekeer tegen de zich aan de genocide in Jemen scheel verdienende Britse overheid….. Dit terzijde om aan te geven hoever men wil gaan om ronduit staatsterreur te verdedigen……

Lucas stelt dat er een ‘informatie oorlog’ bezig is waar o.a. Beeley en Abdallah de grote foute partij zijn, die veel mensen bereiken met hun ‘desinformatie’ en samenzweringstheorieën…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Het is juist volkomen andersom, zij ontwarren de schimmige samenzweringstheorieën die door de reguliere westerse media en politici worden verspreid! Lucas noemde de gifgasaanval van vorig jaar op Kahn Sheikhoun, waar o.a. Abdallah over stelde dat dit een false flag was om Syrië de schuld in de schoenen te schuiven en een VS aanval te ‘rechtvaardigen’ (terwijl de VS NB illegaal in Syrie zit!!).

Lucas stelde daarover dat de conclusies al werden getrokken toen het onderzoek nog bezig was….. Wat hij niet vertelde was het feit dat de VN inspecteurs stelden dat er geen aanval met sarin gas had plaatsgevonden en er wel sporen van chlorine waren gevonden, chlorine dat (alweer) NB in het bezit was van de Al Qaida groepering die daar de boel ‘onder controle’ (lees: onder het terreurbewind) had……… Deskundigen stelden dan ook dat de aanval van Syrische troepen op een terreurdoel was uitgemond in het raken van een voorraad chlorine, terwijl men nog steeds spreekt over sarin gas, wat Lucas zelf toevallig niet deed…….. Die leugen ging zelfs hem waarschijnlijk te ver, niet in de laatste plaats daar het bewijs van het tegengestelde te groot is……….

Overigens niet vreemd dat men eerder grote kritiek heeft op het direct stellen dat Syrië een gifgasaanval heeft uitgevoerd. Immers Lucas ‘vergeet’ voor het gemak dat juist het westen direct (soms zelfs binnen twee uur na een ‘aanval’) het Syrische leger aanwijst als dader…….. Alsof er dan al wel een onderzoek heeft plaatsgevonden….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Eén ding is zeker mensen, nadat de sociale media werden beschuldigd van het brengen van fake news (nepnieuws), men mensen die wel met de waarheid op de proppen komen nu als gevaarlijk gaat neerzetten……. Als Beeley of Abdallah straks worden vermoord weten we wie de schuldigen zijn: Scott Lucas en de BBC, dat zelf ook met feiten veel van de praatjes van Lucas onderuit had kunnen halen, maar ja de BBC is nu eenmaal een grote rad in het verspreiden van anti-Rusland/Syrië/Iran propaganda en het brengen van fake news, zoals de BBC dat ook deed in aanloop naar de illegale VS oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libie en nu weer Syrië…. Waarbij niet moet worden vergeten dat deze BBC, een ‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’, afhankelijk is van overheidssubsidies……… En nee dit heeft niets te maken met complotdenken, maar alles met het weergeven van feiten!!!

Tot slot wil ik nog wijzen op een video van de Jimmy Dore Show. Hij nagelt samen met Brigida Santos de BBC aan de paal voor het verdedigen van de westerse houding t.a.v. Syrië en Rusland. Aan de orde o.a. John Kerry die als minister van BuZa toegeeft dat Saoedi-Arabië een enorm deel betaalt van de kosten voor de illegale VS oorlog in Syrië….. Ook aan de orde waarom de VS nu echt in Syrië zit, niet alleen de weigering van Assad voor een gaspijpleiding, maar ook op aandringen van Israël en Saoedi-Arabië, dit om Assad weg te krijgen (en het land op te delen). Suggestief wordt een voormalig topofficier van de Britse marine ‘geïnterviewd, lord West (‘first sea lord’) die nog enigszins kritiek heeft op de aanname dat Syrië de gifgasaanval in Douma heeft gepleegd en kritiek heeft op de White Helmets, de interviewer zijn antwoorden probeert te verdraaien of zelfs suggereert dat hij het bij het verkeerde eind heeft….. Zo suggereert ze dat de schuldtoewijzing aan Syrië voor de gifgasaanval in Douma, niet door de eerste besten werden gedaan (zoals meerdere geheime diensten, journalisten en het SOHR, een propaganda orgaan van de terreurgroepen in Syrië), waar een aantal van deze ‘eerste besten’ wel degelijk eerder door de mand vielen, zoals voor de illegale oorlog van de VS (met militaire hulp van GB) tegen Irak eind 2002 en begin 2003…..

Er is momenteel een EU conferentie gaande over de wederopbouw van Syrië. WDR 5 meldde in het nieuws van 13.30 u. dat Duitsland een miljard wil geven voor de wederopbouw van Syrië (waarvan een deel voor de vluchtelingen in omliggende landen), waar de EU dit laat afhangen van ‘een paar voorwaarden’.

Zo stelt de EU o.a. dat er eerst vrije verkiezingen moeten worden gehouden in Syrië, verkiezingen waarvan Assad en zijn Ba’ath partij moeten worden uitgesloten…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! De oplichters in Brussel hebben wel een heel vreemde opvatting van ‘vrije verkiezingen……’ Trouwens hoe kunnen verkiezingen vrij zijn als men in het buitenland eisen stelt aan deze verkiezingen……

Daarmee is ook nog eens sprake van een illegale inmenging in binnenlandse aangelegenheden van een soevereine staat, een staat waarvan de regering in 2014 ook nog eens democratisch werd gekozen door een grote meerderheid van de kiezers, in door internationale waarnemers goedgekeurde verkiezingen >> iets dat onder meer door The Guardian middels ‘false news’, of zoals je wilt ‘nepnieuws’ werd en wordt ontkend…….)

Terwijl de reguliere westerse media en de meeste westerse politici hun gal spuwen over de ‘gifgasaanval’ in het Syrische Douma, zijn er gelukkig nog een aantal deskundigen die grote vraagtekens zetten bij het kulverhaal dat een winnend Syrisch leger alsnog haar eigen bevolking zou hebben vergast…..

Naast Ron Paul, voormalig lid van het VS Huis van Afgevaardigden, die het hele verhaal afdoet als nonsens, heeft ook voormalig Britse marine generaal Alan West grote vraagtekens gezet bij het verhaal over deze gifgasaanval.
West noemt het militair totaal onlogisch, terwijl hij stelt dat wanneer hij de terreurgroepen van advies moest dienen, hij hen zou adviseren een gifgasaanval op de bevolking uit te voeren, deze groepen hebben immers al lang aangetoond lak te hebben aan burgerslachtoffers…..
Bij Sky News vroeg men de voormalige commandant van de Britse strijdkrachten in Irak, generaal Jonathan Shaw naar de gifgasaanval. Ook hij stelde dat het onlogisch was voor een winnend leger om gifgas in te zetten, daar het Syrisch leger in feite de strijd al had gewonnen. Hij gaf daarbij de woorden weer van generaal Vogel, hoofd van CENTCOM, die voor het VS Congress stelde dat de VS moet accepteren dat het Syrische leger de strijd heeft gewonnen……
Hij haalde ook Trump aan, die een week eerder had gesteld dat ISIS overwonnen was en hij de troepen terug wilde roepen, waarna er ‘toevallig’ een chemische aanval plaats vond (vrij vertaald).
Voordat hij z’n verhaal kon afmaken, werd het gesprek afgekapt, had hij zich maar aan het script moeten houden, het script dat Assad als dader aanwijst en waarin ‘ongelofelijk genoeg’ het grootste deel van de westerse wereld gelooft, na te zijn gehersenspoeld door de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici, die maar geen genoeg kunnen krijgen van het spuien van gal over deze ‘gifgasaanval……’

Voorts moet niet vergeten worden dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) in het bezit zijn van voorraden gifgas. Algemeen bekend maar geen probleem voor de anti-Assad, anti-Russische en anti-Iraanse propagandisten in het westen (de voornoemde media en politici, aangevuld met ‘deskundige opiniemakers’, allen lobbyisten van het militair-industrieel complex)…….

Ron Paul thinks its “nonsense”…

“The way the people that perpetuate these false flags [sic] say that Assad is gassing his own people, at the same time, he’s winning the war and the people are flocking back in to go to the territories that he has returned to the government of Syria,” explained Paul.

“But, nevertheless, he’s out there gassing his own people, which makes no sense whatsoever and fewer and fewer people are believing this.”

“This whole idea that all of a sudden Assad’s gassing his own people, I think, is total nonsense.”

And RT spoke about the Russian claims with Lord Alan West, a retired officer of the British Royal Navy. He said he had strong reservations about taking allegations against Damascus at face value, because it didn’t make much military sense.

“It seems to be utterly ludicrous for the military that is in the process of taking over an area to go and do something with chemical weapons, which will draw the wrath of the larger enemy down upon them,” he said.

“If I was advising the opponents of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad, I would be delighted to kill a few people there. Let’s face it, [the insurgents] don’t care if they kill women and children.”

“I am not willing to accept tweets. We need to see incontrovertible truth about what has happened there and make a decision on that basis,” he added.

But, to confirm the fact that the propaganda-pushed ‘Assad-is-bad’ narrative is all that is allowed, when General Jonathan Shaw, the former Commander of British Armed Forces in Iraq, dares to go ‘off script’ while being interviewed by Sky News, he is abruptly cut off…
Here’s what General Shaw was saying before he was so rudely interrupted…

“…the debate that seems to be missing from all this – and this was mentioned by the [Russian] ambassador – is what possible motive might Syria have to launch a chemical attack at this time and in this place…

The Syrians are winning, don’t take my word for it, take the American military’s word for it. General Vogel, the head of CENTCOM, said to Congress the other day that ‘Assad has won this war and we need to face that’, and the tweet by Trump last week that ‘America had finished with ISIS and were going to pull out very soon’…and then suddenly you get these accusations of a chemical attack…”

CUT OFF…

The message is clear – stick to the script, or get cut off!

Russische volk wordt geadviseerd zich voor te bereiden op een nucleaire oorlog…….

In een Anti-Media artikel van Julia Conley, eerder gepubliceerd op Common Dreams, bericht ze over de adviezen die door de Russische staatsmedia aan het Russische volk worden gegeven: wat te doen als er een nucleaire oorlog tussen Rusland en de VS uitbreekt…….

Volkomen terecht, echter als je de landelijke radio nieuws en actualiteiten zenders van Nederland, België, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië moet geloven is er niets aan de hand en hoewel men continu Rusland demoniseert, wordt er dan plotsklaps wel gezond verstand verwacht van Rusland, in reactie op de oorlogstaal van de VS n.a.v. de zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Douma……*

Moet je nagaan: die reguliere media doen voorts niet anders dan Rusland van alle ellende de schuld geven, ook al is daar geen flinter bewijs voor, neem de zogenaamde Russische manipulatie van de VS presidentsverkiezingen, of het hacken van regeringen (zaken waar de VS zich meermaals schuldig aan heeft gemaakt, waar wel bewijzen voor zijn, ook het hacken van vriendschappelijke regeringen zoals die van Duitsland en andere zaken die o.a. terug te vinden zijn in Wikileaks…..)

De verwachting dat Rusland wel haar verstand zal gebruiken, strookt overigens met de werkelijkheid: ga maar eens na wat er gebeurd zou zijn als een VS jager uit de lucht zou zijn geschoten door Rusland (Turkije deed dit als NAVO partner, terwijl de VS op de hoogte was van het Russische vluchtplan), of als Rusland 100 VS militairen zou hebben gedood (zoals de VS met Russische militaire vrijwilligers in Syrië heeft gedaan)…… De oorlogsrapen waren overgaar geweest en de VS had wraak genomen, echter Rusland deed dit niet en bewaarde de kalmte (waarvoor we bij wijze van spreken god en Putin op onze blote knieën mogen bedanken)…….

Echter tegen loze beschuldigingen kan je je niet anders verweren dan de waarheid te vertellen en je voor te bereiden op oorlog. De VS wordt keer op keer zwakte verweten, zoals na de grote gifgasaanval in 2013, die na onderzoek werd toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die zonder bezwaar van het westen beschikken over voorraden…. gifgas!). Niet voor niets dat Obama niet ingreep, al had hij al helemaal het recht niet zich binnen de (lucht-) grenzen van Syrië te begeven…….

Echter het is geen zwakte als je je fout inziet (dat willen de reguliere westerse media en de meeste westerse politici nog steeds niet toegeven!) en niet besluit om te gaan bombarderen….. Als Rusland in de positie van de VS was geweest en elke keer de beschuldigingen en volkomen onterechte wraakoefeningen (zoals die na de ‘gifgasaanval’ in Khan Sheikhoun >> de VS aanval met kruisraketten >> een enorme oorlogsmisdaad) over haar kant had laten gaan, waren hemel en aarde te klein geweest voor de kritiek…… Gelukkig dat we in Rusland te maken hebben met een regering die niet ad hoc reageert, een regering waaraan het westen op heel veel punten een voorbeeld kan nemen!!

 With ominous mushroom clouds in the background, Russian TV tells citizens how to fill bunkers with shelf-stable foods like rice and sugar.
(COMMONDREAMS) As President Donald Trump sent mixed messages about his plans for possible military action in Syria this week, Russian state media advised citizens to take his warnings from earlier this week to heart, and prepare for war with the U.S.
On the country’s state-owned media channel, a news anchor on Wednesday explained to viewers how to prepare for a potential war by stocking a bomb shelter—while images of nuclear explosions were shown behind him.
As Newsweek reports:

Warning that the potential conflict between the two superpowers would be “catastrophic,” an anchor for Russia’s Vesti 24 showed off shelves of food, recommending that people buy salt, oatmeal, and other products that can last a long time on the shelves if they plan to hide in a bunker. Powdered milk lasts five years, while sugar and rice can last up to eight years, the newscaster explained before showing videos of pasta cooking in a bomb shelter.

The newscast showed shelf-stable foods that could last five to eight years—including powdered milk, rice, and sugar—and advised Russians to buy gas masks and huge supplies of water.
The anchor took on a mocking tone at times, saying that Americans have far more to fear than Russians.
“The real panic isn’t here but across the ocean,” said the reporter, adding that the instructions to stock bunkers were for “people who succumb to panic and decide to spend all their savings.”

Trump warned he was considering military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad this week, after he accused Assad—who Russia has defended in the country’s civil war over the last seven years—of attacking the town of Douma with poison gas last weekend.
A navy destroyer armed with Tomahawk missiles embarked from Cyrus on Monday, leading to fears that Trump would impulsively launch an attack on the war-torn country—while anti-war advocates urged Trump to allow the U.N. to investigate the chemical attack before taking action.
In response to Trump’s threats, Russia quickly said it wouldshoot down any U.S. missiles and possibly target U.S. launch sites as well, leading international affairs and military experts to warn that the U.S. would stand little chance of defeating Russia’s defenses—and that an escalation could ultimately lead to a nuclear exchange.
“There is a major war scare here in Moscow. Russia is expecting a U.S. strike in Syria. The Russian chief of military Valery Gerasimov promised a response against U.S. platforms launching missiles,” Ariel Cohen, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, told Newsweek. “The U.S. needs to keep in mind not only the adversarial position of Russia, which of course is the case, but the Russian nuclear potential… An escalation in Syria that affects Russia may lead to a military conflict with Russia, which has an escalation trajectory towards a nuclear war.”
Meanwhile, Murtaza Mohammad Hussain‏ at the Intercept argued that while Trump’s threats could carry the danger of war, the majority of those who will suffer in a conflict between the U.S. and Russia are likely neither American nor Russian—but Middle Eastern.

I don’t really buy the idea that Russia & the U.S. are at risk of WW3 or nuclear war over any of their disputes. Imperial powers are happy to compete in carving up the rest of the world, but the only blood they’re really willing to spill en masse is that of third world people.

If there is a great power conflict, the escalation will happen by both sides bombing Syrians more, maybe throwing in some Iraqis, Iranians and Lebanese depending on how bad things get. No one in Russia or America needs to worry about any “WW3” that would affect them directly.

Ben het overigens in het geheel niet eens met de Twitterberichten van Martuza Mohammad Hussain, hij vergeet even dat Rusland op verzoek van de legitieme, democratisch gekozen regering van Syrië in dat land aanwezig is…… De ‘opstand in Syrië’ was een door de VS georganiseerde zaak, met behulp van een aantal andere landen waaronder Groot-Brittannië, Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Egypte. Deze opstand werd al vanaf 2006 voorbereid…… Syrië werd vanaf het begin van de opstand (‘arabische lente..’) onmiddellijk gedemoniseerd, terwijl buitenlandse jihadstrijders de Syrische demonstranten (waaronder vooral veel buitenlanders) letterlijk onder vuur namen, zodat Assad de schuld kreeg…….. (de zoveelste false flag operatie) Doordat Syrië ten onder dreigde te gaan en Assad Putin te hulp riep, is Rusland zoals gezegd aanwezig in dat land, waarmee Rusland al decennia lang goede betrekkingen onderhield………. Tot slot wat betreft dit commentaar van Hussain en dan zijn stelling dat we in het westen niet bang hoeven te zijn voor WOIII: dat is maar zeer de vraag, als Rusland als vergelding voor de aanval van afgelopen nacht een VS marineschip torpedeert dan wel bombardeert, vrees ik dat we binnen de kortste keren wel degelijk in WOIII zullen belanden en zoals deze aanduiding al aangeeft, een wereldoorlog treft de hele wereld, dus ook het westen……
