Pro-Palestijns activisme de mond gesnoerd door ultra rechts en fundi-christenen

BDS Nederland heeft een rapport van het European Legal Support Center (ELSC) overgenomen waaruit blijkt dat maatschappelijke organisaties uit Nederland, die zich inzetten voor het verdrukte Palestijnse volk de mond worden gesnoerd….. Eigenlijk niets nieuws, al moet gezegd worden dat de manieren waarop men deze maatschappelijke organisaties tegenwerkt me de haren te berge deden rijzen…..

Lees het hieronder opgenomen rapport en bedenk daarbij dat Israël een totaal ongelijke partij is vergeleken met de Palestijnen die zo bloedig worden onderdrukt door deze fascistische apartheidsstaat. Israël heeft één van de modernste legers ter wereld, bezit illegaal kernwapens, terwijl de Palestijnen daarmee vergeleken bij wijze van spreken met pijl en boog staan….

Het is dan ook ongelofelijk dat de westerse wereld die het zogenaamd altijd opneemt voor verdrukte volkeren, de Palestijnen zo laat zitten en het zelfs accepteert dat Israël keer op keer door het westen georganiseerde en betaalde projecten voor het Palestijnse volk vernielt…. Elke andere staat die dit zou flikken zou door het westen onmiddellijk van staatsterrorisme worden beschuldigd, maar niet Israël….. Datzelfde westen gaat dan ook volkomen de plaat uit als een ander land hetzelfde doet tegen verdrukte volkeren…… ‘Hetzelfde?’ Nou nee in vergelijking met de vreselijke misdaden die de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël begaat tegen de Palestijnen kunnen die landen, zoals Wit-Rusland (Belarus), nog niet in de schaduw staan…… Nog een voorbeeld daarvan: Israël vernielt opzettelijk waterbronnen van Palestijnen, zodat water aangevoerd moet worden met tankwagens en de boeren hun land niet meer van water kunnen voorzien; de leveringen van water worden vervolgens als politiek drukmiddel tegen de Palestijnen gebruikt…..

De Palestijnen moeten boeten voor wat de Europese landen de Joden hebben aangedaan voor en tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog (WOII), onbegrijpelijk dan ook dat men Israël laat begaan met etnische zuiveringen en het plegen van genocide op de Palestijnen, zaken die sterk doen denken aan de nazi praktijken voor en tijdens WOII…… Deze manier van doen is te vergelijken met wat de ‘nieuwe arabische vrienden’ van Israël flikken in Jemen, waar de Saoedische terreurcoalitie een genocide uitvoert op de sjiieten, een genocide die het westen onberoerd laat en waar de westerse landen Saoedi-Arabië en de rest van deze terreurcoalitie voorzien van wapens en onderdelen van wapens (dat laatste doet Nederland en stelt daarbij dat die niet onder het wapenembargo vallen…)…..*

Het verzet tegen mensen die zich inzetten voor het Palestijnse volk is een zoveelste overvloedig bewijs dat de boel in het westen steeds verder afzakt richting een fascistische politiestaat en alles wat ruikt naar links wordt gedemoniseerd….. Dan durft men te stellen dat links het heeft verloren van het kapitalisme (tegenwoordig: neoliberalisme), terwijl de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de politiek in dat gebied niet anders doen dan alles wat links is te demoniseren, waarmee het grootste deel van de westerse volkeren in feite worden gehersenspoeld…… Je zou de situatie zelfs kunnen vergelijken met de periode voorafgaand aan de Tweede Wereldoorlog toen in Europa de fascisten steeds groter werden en bepaald niet alleen in Duitsland…… (niet voor niets dat de Sovjet-Unie het grootste deel van Oost-Europa onder controle wilde houden na WOII, daar een aantal landen al voor de overname door nazi-Duitsland fascistisch werden geregeerd >> ook toen werd alles wat naar links rook gedemoniseerd en werden zowel de socialisten als de communisten vervolgd…….**)

Het is een schande dat men degenen die zich inzetten voor het verdrukte Palestijnse volk wil censureren als waren het antisemieten, waarvoor men deze mensen dan ook uitmaakt…… Facebook is de laatste jaren al zover gegaan dat het duizenden accounts van Palestijnen heeft verwijderd en het ging daarbij niet om mensen die geweld predikten tegen Israël, hoewel deze mensen dagelijks te maken hebben met het geweld of beter gezegd terreur van de staat Israël……..

Lees het artikel van BDS, helaas werkt de link naar het rapport van ELSC niet (de link zou fouten bevatten, echter ik vrees dat het ook hier om censuur gaat….) en zie hoe mensen en organisaties worden geterroriseerd alleen omdat ze een humaan beleid eisen voor de Palestijnen en hen een normaal leven gunnen….. Geeft het ajb door, de hoogste tijd dat men Israël gaat boycotten voor haar zeer inhumane en bloedige omgang met Palestijnen, die men NB van hun land heeft gejaagd om illegaal de staat Israël te kunnen stichten…… (men heeft daarna zelfs hele dorpen en stadjes gebulldozerd, zodat de gevluchte Palestijnen niet meer terug konden keren naar hun geboortegrond….)

De ondermijning van pro-Palestijns activisme in Nederland

Maatschappelijke organisaties en personen die zich inzetten voor de rechten van de Palestijnen worden in Nederland structureel tegengewerkt, belasterd en zelfs bedreigd. Dat blijkt uit een vandaag verschenen rapport van het European Legal Support Center.

De bevindingen van het Nederlandse rapport – het eerste in zijn soort – zijn gebaseerd op onderzoek naar 76 incidenten tussen 2015 en 2020 waarbij pro-Palestijns activisme werd tegengewerkt. Het werd uitgevoerd door het European Legal Support Center (ELSC), een in Amsterdam gevestigde organisatie die deze trend in een aantal Europese landen monitort en slachtoffers bijstaat met juridische hulp.

De onderzochte incidenten betreffen onder meer het ontzeggen van toegang tot debatruimtes, het inperken van academische vrijheid, het aanvechten van subsidies en fondsen, maar ook cyberaanvallen en (doods)bedreigingen. Daarnaast is frequent sprake van lastercampagnes, waarbij solidariteit met de Palestijnen en legitieme kritiek op Israël verdacht worden gemaakt als uiting van antisemitisme of steun voor terrorisme.

Het rapport toont aan dat sprake is van een patroon waarbij elke vorm van aandacht voor de Palestijnen kan rekenen op tegenwerking en intimidatie. Zowel maatschappelijke organisaties, activisten, medewerkers van ngo’s, journalisten, wetenschappers, studenten als politici worden belemmerd in hun activiteiten, frequent ten koste van hun reputatie, middelen of zelfs gezondheid. Die dreigende realiteit leidt tot vermijding of zelfcensuur, en tot een krimpende ruimte voor maatschappelijk debat.

ELSC directeur Giovanni Fassina: ‘Iedereen moet zich onbedreigd kunnen inlaten met de rechten van de Palestijnen. Dat vereist een daadkrachtig optreden tegen lastercampagnes en druk van pro-Israël-groepen.’

Het onderzoek wijst uit dat de meeste incidenten werden geïnitieerd of uitgevoerd door pro-Israëlorganisaties. Zo blijken medewerkers van het Centrum Informatie en Documentatie Israël (CIDI) betrokken bij 46 van de 76 onderzochte incidenten. Andere betrokken organisaties zijn Christenen voor Israël, Likoed Nederland en het Centraal Joods Overleg (CJO). Zij worden in hun missie gesteund door de rechtse partijen PVV en FvD, de christelijke CU en SGP, en door rechtse media als de Telegraaf, Elsevier Weekblad, GeenStijl, OpinieZ en het Nieuw Israëlietisch Weekblad (NIW).

Het rapport legt een verband met de campagne die de Israëlische regering sinds 2015 voert om de wereldwijd toenemende kritiek op haar Palestina-politiek te beteugelen, en de succesvolle pro-Palestijnse BDS-beweging te bestrijden. In die campagne spelen internationale proxie-organisaties een belangrijke rol. Het ELSC-onderzoek geeft een beeld van de vorm die dat in Nederland heeft aangenomen.

Het ELSC doet aanbevelingen aan overheden, organisaties en media om deze realiteit te herkennen en zich ertegen te wapenen. Daarbij hoort de bescherming van burgerrechten en democratisch debat centraal te staan.

Trump heeft het plan geopperd dat universiteiten, waar men ‘antisemitisch’ bezig is, niet langer hoeven te rekenen op overheidssubsidie……

‘Antisemitisme’, lees: waar men het opneemt voor het verdrukte Palestijnse volk tegen de ongebreidelde Israëlische agressie, zoals dat wordt geventileerd door Jewish Voice for Peace’, (anders gezegd: middels kritiek op het uiterst agressieve en bloedige beleid van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël dat zelfs massamoorden pleegt op ongewapende Palestijnen…)…
Terecht opgemerkt door Ben B., de schrijver van de petitie die je hieronder terugvindt, dat met de maatregel van Trump niet bedoeld wordt dat de ‘Tyramp’ actie onderneemt tegen antisemieten in de VS die Joden aanvallen, maar dat dit een aanval is op de vrijheid van meningsuiting en academische vrijheid…… Ofwel waarmee studentenactivisme wordt bestreden, universiteiten subsidie wordt afgenomen en misschien wel het belangrijkst: zorgen dat men zich niet langer kan informeren over de bloedige Israëlische agressie t.a.v. het al zo verdrukte Palestijnse volk…..
Lees de volgende tekst en die bij de petitie, teken deze ajb en geeft het door! Door Nederland aan te klikken op de plek waar je jouw mobiele telefoonnummer kan achterlaten, laat je weten dat je niet uit de VS komt, je hoeft daarvoor overigens niet je telefoonnummer in te vullen. De claim van ‘antisemitisme’ wordt op allerlei manieren misbruikt in de VS en Groot-Brittannië (Corbyn zou antisemiet zijn, o.a. met deze leugen door de massamedia gepropageerd, verloor Corbyn eergisteren de verkiezingen in GB….)…. Niet alleen in de VS en GB, maar ook in de rest van het westen wordt de term antisemitisme misbruikt (zelfs een bericht als dit kan worden aangewezen als antisemitisch, immers er wordt kritiek geleverd op Israël…), daarom is het van belang dat dit soort petities door zoveel mogelijk mensen worden getekend en het liefst vanuit zoveel mogelijk landen.

Trump’s trying to shut down student organizing for Palestinian rights

My name is Ben, and I’m a member of Jewish Voice for Peace at Brown University.
Yesterday, Trump announced plans to sign an executive order that would withhold federal funding from colleges and universities that he says “fail to combat antisemitism.”

But let’s be perfectly clear on this: this executive order has NOTHING to do with keeping Jewish students safe. We need to recognize the order for what it is: a hypocritical attempt to demand unconditional support for Israel, and to silence students organizing for Palestinian rights.

Sign our petition – let the world know Trump’s executive order does nothing to protect Jews.

Trump’s executive order is scary – it is itself antisemitic, against free speech, and dangerous for Palestinians and all people who support Palestinian rights. But there’s a good reason why he’s signing it now: WE’RE WINNING.

 After months of campaigning, our coalition at Brown University just had a HUGE Divest campaign victory. Last week, Brown’s Advisory Committee on Corporate Responsibility in Investment Policies officially recommended that Brown University divest from companies “facilitating human rights abuses in Palestine.” This is the FIRST time that an official university body in the United States has recommended divestment from Israeli apartheid.

Sign now to protect student activists and keep this hypocritical order from becoming law.

 White supremacy and antisemitism are real and growing threats, but this executive order would do nothing to protect Jewish students. Instead, it would use a dangerously broad definition of antisemitism to silence student activism, defund faculty research, and limit opportunities to learn about Palestine. It’s an attack on free speech and academic freedom.

 The contents of this executive order are nothing new. It’s just a repackaged version of a piece of unpopular legislature – the so called “Anti-Semitism Awareness Act” – that anti-Palestinian activists have been trying to force through the House and Senate for years. Trump and his associates are scared of our movement, and this executive order is a last-ditch attempt to sign anti-Palestinian free speech suppression into law. It’s time we put a stop to this executive order, once and for all.

Huis van Afgevaardigden VS stemt massaal voor beperking vrijheid van meningsuiting: BDS in de ban en vrijbaan voor Israëls gewelddadig beleid tegen Palestijnen

Ongelofelijk maar waar: het Huis van Afgevaardigden in de VS heeft gestemd voor een anti-BDS wet….. BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) is een door Palestijnen geleide beweging voor vrijheid, gerechtigheid en gelijkheid, waar men er volkomen terecht van uitgaat dat Palestijnen dezelfde rechten hebben als de rest van de mensheid.

Een groot deel van de wereld (zeker de westerse wereld) wil niet zien dat de Palestijnen het leven onmogelijk wordt gemaakt door Israël en met een verbod op het opkomen voor mensenrechten en vervolgde minderheden, worden juist minderheden als de Palestijnen onevenredig hard getroffen…….

BDS wijst juist op het lot dat de Palestijnen al meer dan 70 jaar treft en geeft volkomen terecht kritiek op het moorddadige vervolgen door Israël van Palestijnen…… Juist dat wordt vertaald als antisemitisme, terwijl het daar niets, maar dan ook helemaal niets mee te maken heeft……. Het gaat hier immers om misdaden tegen de menselijkheid, zoals massamoord op Palestijnen en het schenden van de mensenrechten van het verdrukte Palestijnse volk door de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël……..

Het maakt niet uit wie misdaden als Israël tegen de Palestijnen begaat, het blijven zware (oorlogs-) misdaden, of die nu door Joden of niet Joden worden begaan….. Lullig maar waar: Palestijnen zijn net als andere arabieren zelf ook semieten!

Het meest achterlijke argument voor een verbod op BDS is wel dat deze een ‘tweestatenoplossing’ van de VS in de weg staat…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! De grootste tegenstander van de ‘tweestatenoplossing’ is Israël zelf!!! (meters aan dossiers die dit bewijzen….) Dat geldt overigens ook voor de VS, neem de verplaatsing van de ambassade naar Jeruzalem…..

In Nederland verschuilen opvolgende regeringen zich achter het argument dat het vredesoverleg tussen Israël en de Palestijnen verstoord wordt, als men kritiek levert op het psychopathisch, gewelddadige optreden van Israël tegen de Palestijnen, zelfs als Israël weer eens een massamoord op Palestijnen heeft uitgevoerd………

Met deze nieuwe Anti-BDS wet wordt in de VS de vrijheid van meningsuiting definitief de nek omgedraaid en weer zijn de Palestijnen daar het eerste slachtoffer van…….

In a 398-17 vote, the House of Representatives on Tuesday passed H. Res 246, a bill which expresses opposition to the BDS movement targeting Israel. The language of the bill presents BDS as contrary to US policy, and claims that BDS is harmful to the two-state solution that the US supports.


BDS, which stands for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions, is a campaign founded to try to pressure Israel over the occupation of Palestine, The intention was to apply economic pressure on Israel for certain activities with respect to the occupation.


While boycotting countries over behavior isn’t that unusual, the US government’s pro-Israel bias meant that in 1977, the US started passing laws trying to prevent American citizens and companies from specifically participating in BDS against Israel, forming the Office of Antiboycott Compliance.


In the past couple of years, Israel has sought to attack BDS on a global scale by present it as de facto anti-Semitism. As usual, US officials were eager to get on the record with being very anti-BDS, even if these bills don’t formally outlaw participating in the BDS on an individual level.


This comes as Israel is increasingly a political issue in the US as well, with President Trump trying to present the Democrats as anti-Semites for not being as pro-Netanyahu as he personally is. While Democrats overwhelmingly backed the anti-BDS bill today, there remains a political split on the issue.


That’s because Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is offering a competing resolution which expresses
support for Americans’ right to boycott other nations, including Israel. Democratic leadership were quick to condemn Omar’s proposal as “dead on arrival.”


Historically, of course, boycotting other nations has been considered an aspect of Americans’ right to free speech. Omar’s resolution, however, isn’t expected to even get a serious discussion in committee, let alone a proper vote on the floor of the House.

Ilhan Omar en Rashida Tlaib* zijn de eerste vrouwelijke moslim leden van het VS congres en deze 2 timmeren nogal aan de weg. (MPN) — What unites Republicans and Democrats, a former Jewish terrorist, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives, Nikki Haley, Chelsea Clinton and Liz Cheney? A Muslim lady with a mouth and some opinions, apparently. Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been the subject of bipartisan bullying that has reached a fever pitch since the lawmaker explicitly called out the number one Israeli lobby group in the U.S. — the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
Earlier this year, Omar made heads explode in the halls of power after she denounced the U.S.-backed coup attempt in Venezuela. Now, even the leader of her own party in her own chamber of Congress – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – is joining a chorus of detractors accusing Omar of anti-Semitism for correctly characterizing the business of lobbying.
While this is not the first time that Omar has come under fire for criticizing Israel, the current saga began on Sunday when journalist Glenn Greenwald tweeted an article by the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz that trumpeted calls from House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to “take action” against Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). McCarthy did not specify which statements he opposed, but called the situation “equal” or worse than that of Rep. Steve King (R-IA) who was removed from his committee assignments by his party after he questioned when “white supremacy” had become “offensive.”
Tlaib and Omar are the first two Muslim women in Congress, while Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American. Both have supported the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, a nonviolent campaign to economically pressure Israel into compliance with international and humanitarian law.

MintPress News has previously covered dubious accusations of anti-Semitism against Tlaib after she took a stand against a free-speech-crushing bill favored by — you guessed it — the Israel lobby. Meanwhile, other lawmakers are attempting to block Tlaib’s planned delegation to the illegally occupied West Bank.
In response to the attack from the Republican House leader, ACLU Human Rights Director Jamil Dakwar quipped that Congressman McCarthy may “want to revive McCarthyism.”
McCarthy himself received $33,000 from NorPAC, “an AIPAC affiliate, in the last election cycle,” reportedthe online publication Jewish Worker. Meanwhile, McCarthy himself has been accused of spreading anti-Semitic tropes, warning that three Jewish, liberal mega-donors, including George Soros, were trying to “buy” the midterm elections, which were to take place the following day. That tweet has since been deleted.

But some powerful people with Twitter accounts took exception the the congresswoman’s identification of a pro-Israel lobby group as an entity that “is paying American politicians to be pro-Israel.” One is left to wonder what causes AIPAC doles out the contents of its propaganda war-chest for if not to influence lawmakers on Israel. The takeaway from this line of analysis is that money has no influence in politics, which is patently absurd.

But a cursory examination of the legacy AIPAC has left since it opened shop the DC speak even greater volumes. The lobby group is not itself run by Israel, allowing it to avoid registration under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, a law that forces foreign lobby groups to be more transparent. That’s because I.L. Kenen, the founder of AIPAC, created a “legal loophole by which AIPAC is defined not as a lobby for a foreign state but for Americans who support that state. It’s a critical distinction that makes AIPAC’s dominance over U.S. Middle East policy possible,” according to former AIPAC employee M.J. Rosenberg.
AIPAC continues its practice of using loopholes to further its agenda today. A recent documentaryproduced by Al Jazeera but censored by Qatar, which funds the outlet, showed how one fundraiser for a congressional candidate, organized by an unofficial “AIPAC group,” circumvented laws on maximum individual political contributions by pooling donors’ grants together and doling out the official donations evenly among participants.
And the organization’s sway over Congress is difficult to dispute. Promotional literature for the annual AIPAC policy conference in Washington has touted the idea that it would be “attended by more members of Congress than almost any other event.” Steve Rosen, a former AIPAC executive, would tell people that he “could take out a napkin at any Senate hangout and get signatures of support for one issue or another from scores of senators,” according to Connie Bruck in The New Yorker.
As AIPAC’s former policy director, Rosen and “Iran specialist” at AIPAC Keith Weissman met with Larry Franklin, a top Pentagon analyst working on Iran, prior to Franklin leaking a draft presidential directive “that proposed a tougher policy on Iran, which included consideration of covert action towards regime change,” according to Democracy Now. That document made its way into AIPAC’s hands, which passed it on to Israeli officials.
Former AIPAC President David Steiner was even forced to resign after audio was leaked of him bragging about how he was negotiating with Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign to appoint people to key posts in his administration. Steiner ultimately recanted and apologized to both AIPAC and Bill Clinton.

Voorts zouden deze leiders terecht moeten staan voor zaken als het onthouden van water aan de Palestijnen, dit door vernieling van de bronnen (in de Gazastrook) en afdammingen in de Jordaan, t.b.v. de illegale Israëlische nederzettingen op de West Bank, waar Israël zich overigens totaal illegaal als bezettingsmacht bevindt, zoals nazi-Duitsland zich illegaal in ons land ophield van mei 1940 tot mei 1945
De 4 docu-films in het artikel hieronder werden door Al Jazeera gemaakt, echter deze mochten niet worden uitgezonden van Qatar, dit onder druk van Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en de VS……. En je weet het: als men een documentaire wil verbieden wil men zaken verborgen houden, ofwel Israël geeft in feite toe dat het een barbaars, inhumaan beleid voert t.a.v. de Palestijnen……. The Electronic Intifada has obtained a complete copy of The Lobby – USA, a four-part undercover investigation by Al Jazeera into Israel’s covert influence campaign in the United States.
We are releasing the leaked film simultaneously with France’s Orient XXI and Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar, which have respectively subtitled the episodes in French and Arabic.
The film was made by Al Jazeera during 2016 and was completed in October 2017.
But it was censored after Qatar, the gas-rich Gulf emirate that funds Al Jazeera, came under intense Israel lobby pressure not to air the film.
Although Al Jazeera’s director-general claimed last month that there were outstanding legal issues with the film, his assertions have been flatly contradicted by his own journalists.
In March, The Electronic Intifada was the first to report on any of the film’s specific content. We followed this in August by publishing the first extract of the film, and shortly after Max Blumenthal at the Grayzone Projectreleased others.
Since then, The Electronic Intifada has released three other extracts, and several other journalists have watched the entire film and written about it – including Alain Gresh and Antony Loewenstein.
Now The Electronic Intifada can reveal for the first time that it has obtained all four parts of the film.

To get unprecedented access to the Israel lobby’s inner workings, undercover reporter “Tony” posed as a pro-Israel volunteer in Washington.
The resulting film exposes the efforts of Israel and its lobbyists to spy on, smear and intimidate US citizens who support Palestinian human rights, especially BDS – the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.
It shows that Israel’s semi-covert black-ops government agency, the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, is operating this effort in collusion with an extensive network of US-based organizations.

Censored by Qatar


The film was suppressed after the government of Qatar came under intense pressure not to release it – ironically from the very same lobby whose influence and antics the film exposes.
Clayton Swisher, Al Jazeera’s head of investigations, revealed in an article for The Forward in March that Al Jazeera had sent more than 70 letters to individuals and organizations who appear in or are discussed in the film, providing them with an opportunity to respond.
Only three did so. Instead, pro-Israel groups have endeavored to suppress the film that exposes the lobby’s activities.
In April, Al Jazeera’s management was forced to deny a claim by the hard-right Zionist Organization of America that the film had been canceled altogether.
In June, The Electronic Intifada learned that a high level source in Doha had said the film’s indefinite delay was due to “national security” concerns of the Qatari government.

Covert action


Reifkind – then an Israeli embassy employee – describing her typical work day as “mainly gathering intel, reporting back to Israel … to report back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Strategic Affairs.”
She discusses the Israeli government “giving our support” to front groups “in that behind-the-scenes way.”
Reifkind also admits to using fake Facebook profiles to infiltrate the circles of Palestine solidarity activists on campus.
The film also reveals that US-based groups coordinate their efforts directly with the Israeli government, particularly its Ministry of Strategic Affairs.
Run by a former military intelligence officer, the ministry is in charge of Israel’s global campaign of covert sabotage targeting the BDS movement.
The film shows footage of the very same ex-military intelligence officer, Sima Vaknin-Gil, claiming to have mapped Palestinian rights activism “globally. Not just the United States, not just campuses, but campuses and intersectionality and labor unions and churches.”
She promises to use this data for “offense activity” against Palestine activists.
Jacob Baime, executive director of the Israel on Campus Coalition, claims in the undercover footage that his organization uses “corporate level, enterprise-grade social media intelligence software” to gather lists of Palestine-related student events on campus, “generally within about 30 seconds or less” of them being posted online.
Baime also admits on hidden camera that his group “coordinates” with the Israeli Ministry of Strategic Affairs.
Baime states that his researchers “issue early warning alerts to our partners” – including Israeli ministries.
Baime’s colleague Ian Hersh admits in the film to adding Israel’s “Ministry of Strategic Affairs to our operations and intelligence brief.”

“Psychological warfare”


Baime describes how his group has used anonymous websites to target activists.
“With the anti-Israel people, what’s most effective, what we’ve found at least in the last year, is you do the opposition research, put up some anonymous website, and then put up targeted Facebook ads,” Baime explains in part three of the film.
“Canary Mission is a good example,” he states. “It’s psychological warfare.”
The film names, for the first time, convicted tax evader Adam Milstein as the multimillionaire funder and mastermind of Canary Mission – an anonymous smear site targeting student activists.
The Electronic Intifada revealed this in a clip in August.
Eric Gallagher, then fundraising director for The Israel Project, is seen in the undercover footage admitting that “Adam Milstein, he’s the guy who funds” Canary Mission.
Milstein also funds The Israel Project, Gallagher states.
Gallagher says that when he was working for AIPAC, Washington’s most powerful Israel lobby group, “I was literally emailing back and forth with [Adam Milstein] while he was in jail.”
Despite not replying to Al Jazeera’s request for comment, Milstein denied that he and his family foundation “are funders of Canary Mission” on the same day The Electronic Intifada published the clip.
Since then, Josh Nathan-Kazis of The Forward has identified several other groups in the US who fund Canary Mission.

Suppressed film


In March, The Electronic Intifada published the first details of what is in the film.
We reported that it showed Sima Vaknin-Gil claiming to have leading neoconservative think tank the Foundation for Defense of Democracies working for her ministry.
The undercover footage shows Vaknin-Gil claiming that “We have FDD. We have others working on” projects including “data gathering, information analysis, working on activist organizations, money trail. This is something that only a country, with its resources, can do the best.”
As noted in part one of the documentary, the existence of the film and the identity of the undercover reporter became known after footage he had shot for it was used in Al Jazeera’s The Lobby – about Israel’s covert influence campaign in the UK – aired in early 2017.
Since then, Israel lobbyists have heavily pressured Qatar to prevent the US film from airing.

“Foreign agent”


Clayton Swisher, Al Jazeera’s head of investigations, first confirmed in October 2017 that the network had run an undercover reporter in the US Israel lobby at the same time as in the UK.
Swisher promised the film would be released “very soon,” but it never came out.
Multiple Israel lobby sources told Israel’s Haaretz newspaper in February that they had received assurances from Qatari leaders late last year that the documentary would not be aired.
Qatar denied this, but the paper stood by its story.
Swisher’s op-ed in The Forward was his first public comment on the matter since he had announced the documentary.
In it, he refutes Israel lobby allegations about the film and expresses frustration that Al Jazeera had not aired it, apparently due to outside pressure.
Several pro-Israel lawmakers in Washington have piled on more pressure by pushing the
Department of Justice to force Al Jazeera to register as a “foreign agent” under a counterespionage law dating from the 1930s.

The Israel lobby goes to Doha


While the film was delayed, a wave of prominent pro-Israel figures visited Qatar at the invitation of its ruler, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
They have included some of the most right-wing and extreme figures among Israel’s defenders in the US, such as Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz and Morton Klein, the head of the Zionist Organization of America.
Swisher wrote in The Forward that he ran into Dershowitz at a Doha restaurant during one of these visits, and invited the professor to a private viewing of the film.
“I have no problem with any of the secret filming,” Swisher says Dershowitz told him afterwards.
“And I can even see this being broadcast on PBS” – the US public broadcaster.
Yet it appears that Israel lobby efforts to quash the film were successful – until now.

Beste bezoeker het kan nog gekker: Israël en de VS werken samen en wisselen namen uit, zo kan je het als niet VS burger wel vergeten naar de VS te reizen (wat altijd een slecht idee is), wanneer je kritiek hebt geleverd op het fascistische apartheidsbewind in Israël……
Kortom zowel Israël als de VS gebruiken fascistische methoden om mensen te weren (en/of hen het leven onmogelijk te maken)………

Supporting Palestine Can Now Get You Denied Entry to the US

I have been a severe critic of the current US administration’s policy towards the Palestinians. But does this make me a possible security threat to the US? Of course not.
(MEE) — In April 2017, while travelling for a routine family holiday to Jerusalem, I was denied entry upon arrival at Tel Aviv airport. Israeli authorities’ official – and bizarre – explanation for the entry denial was: I had attempted to “gain illegal entry”. However, being British citizens, we are normally allowed to travel to Israel without a visa. We have it issued at the entry point and I had obtained it on many occasions before.
But as I came to realise later the real reason was due to my role as vice chair of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), a UK-based organisation that campaigns peacefully for Palestinian rights and which upholds the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel’s occupation.
BDS Promoters Denied

In March 2017, Israel passed the “BDS law“, which allowed it to deny entry to those engaged in BDS movement promotion. My colleague and PSC chair, Hugh Lanning, was denied entry soon after the law was passed. Another colleague, Anwar Makhlouf, head of the Palestinian Federation of Chile, was also denied entry at the Allenby Bridge based on the same law.
When I contacted both the British embassy in Tel Aviv and the foreign office in London for an explanation, I received the same reply: this was a sovereign decision for Israel. This meant Britain did not even acknowledge that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian Territories. The UK’s position is what gives Israel the green light to conduct its policy with total impunity.
Even pro-Palestine Jewish foreign nationals, who are supposedly entitled to go to Israel by the Law of Return (which grants citizenship to Jews from anywhere in the world) have been denied entry, and even denied permission to board their flights to Israel.
In July 2017, five members of an interfaith delegation were denied permission to board a Lufthansa flight at Washington DC’s Dulles International Airport that would ultimately take them to Tel Aviv. Among them was Rabbi Alissa Wise of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), who said in a statement: “Israel denied me the ability to travel there because of my work for justice for Palestinians, even though I’m Jewish and a rabbi.”
She added: “I’m heartbroken and outraged. This is yet another demonstration that democracy and tolerance in Israel only extends to those who fall in line with its increasingly repressive policies against Palestinians.”
Last July, Ariel Gold, co-director of BDS campaign group Code Pink, was denied entry at Ben Gurion airport despite obtaining a visa in advance to take a course at the Hebrew University. Her deportation, and those of others, are normally ordered by Israeli Minister of Security Gilan Erdan, and Israeli Minister of Interior Aryeh Deri.
The most recent case of entry denial involved Lara Alqasem, a 22-year-old Palestinian-American student, despite the fact that she has recently been granted a student visa for her masters’ degree in the Hebrew University. Alqasem spent days in detention at Tel Aviv airport struggling to be allowed to join the course she had registered for.
At the time of writing, Alqasem was planning a second appeal to Israeli courts. She stood her ground, refusing to bow to the demands by Erdan to renounce the BDS movement.
When I was denied entry to Israel last year, the Israeli interrogator had printed many pages of my tweets and challenged me about a small number of them. However, because they were presented to me in Hebrew I declined the opportunity to comment.
Israel’s arrests of Palestinians for social media posts have soared. In May, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Centre for Studies (PPC) said that Israel had detained some 500 Palestinians, including women and children, because of their social media posts. In 2015, Dareen Tatour, a Palestinian poet, was detained for three years, before her release last month, for writing a poem, entitled “Resist my people, resist.”
US Ban?
Entry denial due to BDS movement promotion is an established Israeli policy. I wonder, however, if my activity on social media, and my op-eds on the Palestinian conflict, were the reasons behind being denied boarding of a US-bound plane at Heathrow airport in August.
US authorities have thus far refused to provide me with an explanation as to why this happened despite having initially secured approval through the visa waiver (ESTA) scheme, just as any other British citizen is normally entitled to do.
ESTA entitles the holder to travel to the US without a visa for a two-year period. I had obtained this in the past and travelled to the US to attend conferences connected to my academic work without any problem, the last time being in 2015.
My trip was planned at short notice to spend Eid Al-Adha with relatives in America. Having obtained my ESTA, I made my way to Heathrow to board a Virgin Atlantic flight to Seattle on 17 August. Upon arriving, I tried to check-in via the terminals but could not.
I was informed by a member of staff that I would not be allowed to travel since my ESTA had been declined, despite its initial approval. No explanation was given. I was then told that I could apply for a visa at the American Consulate in London.
I was shocked and devastated. I had now missed the window for my holiday and lost a substantial amount of money, which was not recoverable.
What could possibly have changed since my last trip to the US? My immediate answer was that there was a new administration in the White House, with little tolerance for foreigners and which is blindingly supportive of Israel.
However, I decided to investigate further before my hunch was confirmed. I wrote to the US ambassador in London and completed a “redress” request directly to the US Department for Homeland Security.
A couple of weeks later, the embassy responded through its Customs and Border Protection Attache saying: “Whilst the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are unable to discuss any person’s denial of an ESTA or their admission into the US due to security/privacy policy laws, I can confirm that you will require Non-Immigrant visa should you wish to travel to the US in the future.”
The “redress” response, which arrived a few days later, was almost unintelligible.
Trump’s America
In the absence of an explanation, I am left with the conclusion that Trump’s America does not tolerate criticism of its policies and that it works very closely with Israel, sharing intelligence about individuals who are deemed undesirable for both countries.
It is safe to assume that Israeli authorities have supplied US authorities with names of individuals like myself who have been denied entry because of their advocacy for the Palestinian people. However, for the US to then deny them entry based on this peaceful work is very troubling.
I have been a severe critic of the current US administration’s policy towards the Palestinians. But does this make me a possible security threat to the US? Of course not. However, it helps Israel to further bully its critics into silence if they fear being denied entry to other countries that Israel can influence.
Neither denial of entry to Israel nor to the US will silence supporters of the Palestinian people. In fact, this will embolden us to be even more vocal in our criticism of apartheid Israel.

De Israëlische autoriteiten hebben werkelijk schijt aan wat de wereld van hen denkt, niet voor niets, daar de VS dit land door dik en dun blijft steunen….

Na al meer dan 150 vreedzame demonstranten (waaronder kinderen) te hebben vermoord, een bloedbad dat zich van week tot week voortsleept, heeft de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël besloten het vredesschip Al Awda, een schip van de Gaza Freedom Flotilla te overvallen, dit schip vertrok vanuit Noorwegen met hulpgoederen naar de Gazastrook….
Met veel geweld, slaan en het gebruik van stroomstootwapens (!!) werden afgelopen zondag de opvarenden gearresteerd, het bloed zou op het dek hebben gestaan…… Bloed van mensen die niets anders hebben gedaan dan volkomen terecht partij kiezen voor het zo vervolgde Palestijnse volk…….
Alweer had Israël het gore lef e.e.a. te doen in internationale wateren, ofwel deze gewelddadige actie was ook nog eens volkomen illegaal……

Hetzelfde Israël dat ook nu weer durft te zeggen, geen geweld te hebben gebruikt…… Het ging weer bijna zoals dit op 31 mei 2010 gebeurde met het Turkse schip de Mavi Marmara, waarbij Israël zelfs 9 vredesactivisten vermoordde aan boord van dit schip…… (destijds stelde Israël dat de activisten de mariniers hadden overvallen, toen zij aan boord gingen van de Mavi Marmara….) Zionistische groeperingen ontkennen nog steeds dat Israël destijds onnodig veel geweld gebruikte, hoewel zelfs de Israëlische psychopaat en Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu daar zijn ‘verontschuldigen’ voor heeft gemaakt bij de Turkse schoft Erdogan…..

Laat het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) in Den Haag nu eindelijk eens wakker worden en actie ondernemen tegen de uiterst agressieve Israëlische terreurstaat!! Gaza ‘Freedom Flotilla’ Ship Violently Seized by Israeli Soldiers

(CN) — Israeli soldiers in international waters boarded the Al Awda ship headed to Gaza to deliver relief supplies on Sunday, detaining everyone on board after beating and tasering some passengers, according to an eyewitness account.
Only two of the 22 passengers on the ship have been released, with the rest being held in Givon prison in Israel, the flotilla’s organizers said on Monday.
One of those released, Zohar Chamberlain Regev, an Israeli citizen, contested an Israeli Defense Force (IDF) statement that the ship had been captured “without exceptional incident.”
“People on board were tasered and hit by masked IOF soldiers. We did not get our passports or belongings before we got off the boat. Do not believe reports of peaceful interception,” Regev said in a statement to the organizers, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Regev referred to the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) derogatorily as the Israeli Offense Force (IOF).

He said he saw “blood on the deck of the Al Awdaas the last participants were being dragged off the ship,” according to the coalition’s statement. Regev and a second Israeli passenger, who has not yet been identified, were charged with attempting to enter Gaza and conspiracy before being released.
“A military attack on a civilian vessel is a violent act and a violation of international law,” the flotilla organizers said in its statement. “Taking 22 people from international waters to a country which is not their destination constitutes an act of kidnapping, which is also unlawful under the international Convention of the Law of Sea.”
Consortium News has been following the progress of the flotilla in two reports by passenger Elizabeth Murray. Murray left the Al Awda (The Return) before it approached Gaza and was not onboard when it was seized by Israeli forces.
“We call on national governments, civil society and international organizations to demand that Israeli authorities immediately release our boat so that we can deliver our much-needed medical supplies on Al Awda and the fishing boat itself to the rightful recipients in Gaza,” the organizers said.

Israël is al jaren een fascistische apartheidsstaat (en nog een uiterst gewelddadige ook), e.e.a. is nu vervat in wetgeving, met het aannemen van een natiestaat wet…….

Het was al zo dat Israëlische arabieren (lees: Palestijnen die in 1948 niet werden verjaagd van hun grond en/of uit hun huis) in veel steden en dorpen niet welkom waren, met deze wet is deze apartheidsmaatregel in feite geïnstitutionaliseerd……..
Ook de officiële taal is vanaf nu Hebreeuws……. Voorts mogen straks ook LGBT personen geweigerd worden in dorpen waar uitspuitend zionistische (ofwel: fascistische) joden wonen…..
Er werd gisteren internationaal veel gesproken over deze wetgeving en lullig genoeg had niemand in de reguliere media het lef te zeggen waar het op staat: Israël is nu officieel een fascistische apartheidsstaat….. Veel gedraai rond de pispot, maar te laf om de mond open te trekken en deze fascistische wetgeving keihard te veroordelen…….
Voorts zal de Israëlische regering met deze wetgeving het stichten van joodse nederzettingen (in illegaal bezet gebied op de West Bank) promoten en steunen…….. En dan durven de westerse politici te zeggen dat men geen commentaar wil leveren op Israël om de ‘vredesonderhandelingen’ niet te frustreren……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

 Op Radio1 was gisteren een vertegenwoordiger van Human Rights Watch (HRW) te horen, deze Jan Kooy* stelde in feite dat je nog niet kan spreken van apartheid in Israël en er zelfs nog sprake is van democratie…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een ongelofelijk slappe zak, als je niet van apartheid kan spreken in Israël, wanneer kan je daar dan wel over spreken????? (niet meer doneren aan deze waardeloze organisatie mensen!)

Beste bezoeker, van onze politieke partijen moeten we het niet hebben, de meeste vertegenwoordigers daarvan zullen Israël zelfs nog steunen als ze voor de Palestijnen concentratiekampen zouden inrichten……. Laten we daarom bewegingen als BDS** steunen en alle producten uit Israël boycotten en producten waar de oorsprong niet op terug te vinden is, niet langer kopen!!
We hebben intussen al te veel fascistische staten (beter: ‘nazi-staten’) gehad en lullig genoeg hebben we die nog steeds, tijd voor het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) haar werk een keer te doen en de leiders van Israël veroordeelt waarvoor ze staan:

  • massamoorden
  • martelingen,
  • oorlogsmisdaden
  • het stelen van land
  • het vasthouden van volwassenen en kinderen, zonder een vorm van berechting (al stelt de rechtspraak in Israël niets voor…)
  • discriminatie van Palestijnen en Druzen
  • grootschender van mensen- en kinderrechten
  • het illegaal bezet houden van land, het vernietigen van enorm veel onroerend goed, zelfs als het betreffende pand bijvoorbeeld nog wordt bewoond
  • het collectief straffen van Palestijnse families, als een wanhopige familielid bijvoorbeeld een Israëlische psychopathische soldaat aanvalt dan wel vermoord, een manier van straffen die NB door de SS werd vervolmaakt tijdens WOII……..

Israel Passes ‘Nation State’ Law Enshrining Jewish Supremacy

(MEE) — Israel passed a law on Thursday giving Jews supremacy over all non-Jewish Israeli citizens, which critics and members of the state’s Palestinian minority called racist, likening the legislation to apartheid.
The “Nation State” law passed by a vote of 62-55 and two abstentions in the 120-member parliament after months of political argument. Following the vote Palestinian lawmakers shouted and tore up papers.
Parliament Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein called on security to eject the Palestinian MPs, who were led out crying “You are racist”.
“This is a defining moment in the annals of Zionism and the history of the state of Israel,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, after the vote.
Hassan Jabareen, general director of Adalah, the Legal Centre for Arab Minority Rights in Israel (LCAMRI) , said the law features key elements of apartheid, which he said “is not only immoral but also absolutely prohibited under international law”.
“The new law constitutionally enshrines the identity of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people only – despite the 1.5 million Palestinian citizens of the state and residents of East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights – and guarantees the exclusive ethnic-religious character of Israel as Jewish,” he said.
“By defining sovereignty and democratic self-rule as belonging solely to the Jewish people – wherever they live around the world – Israel has made discrimination a constitutional value and has professed its commitment to favoring Jewish supremacy as the bedrock of its institutions.”
Mazin Qumsiyya, a writer and activist, told Middle East Eye that Israel was moving down a dark path.
“Colonial settler states like Israel move towards more and more extremism before they arrive at one of the three known outcomes of colonialism: the Algerian outcome (a two-tiered ethnic system), the Australian/USA outcome (genocide of natives), or the rest of the world model (coexistance in one pluralistic state),” he said.
“The Nation State law is written mostly for self-validation by racists who know the third outcome is inevitably arriving soon.”
Two Tiers
Less than 500 words long, the Nation State law accords exclusive “national self-determination” rights – the right to decide Israel’s national priorities, of both symbolic and practical importance – to Jewish people, wherever they may live, in Israel or abroad, and whether or not they even hold Israeli citizenship.
The law does not, notably, say that Palestinian and other non-Jewish citizens of Israel are entitled to equal treatment under the law.
The law also gives Hebrew superior status over Arabic, making the former the state’s only official language and demoting the latter to merely a language with a “special status”.
In effect, the Nation State law, which as a basic law holds constitutional power, means Israel’s ethno-religious character supersedes its democratic one.
The bill has been criticised by Palestinian citizens of Israel, liberal Jewish Israelis, Israel’s president and rights groups, some of whom have said the law would amount to apartheid.
“Twenty percent of the citizens will be discriminated against, by definition. What is that if not apartheid? This is racist and unprecedented legislation from a government that has lost all shame,” tweeted Joint List party chair Ayman Odeh earlier in the week, anticipating the law’s passage.
“This is a mortal wound for Arab citizens [of Israel], and for democracy, no less.”
Fellow Joint List lawmaker, Aida Touma-Suleiman, slammed the bill, saying it would “establish Jewish supremacy” and “wipe the word ‘equality’ from the political lexicon in the State of Israel.”
The Palestinian members of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, were joined by Jewish liberal lawmakers and about 2,500 demonstrators on Saturday night, in a march through the main streets of downtown Tel Aviv to protest the bill.
Rights groups say Israel has been discriminating against its non-Jewish citizens ever since the state was founded in 1948, pointing to dozens of Israeli laws that mandate preferential treatment to Jews.
However, the law will have greater, more lasting impact as it enshrines a two-tiered system of rights in a basic law.
Coalition Concessions
While Netanyahu’s government has ignored the protests of Palestinian parliamentarians and left-leaning Zionist lawmakers, it altered the law’s language in recent weeks in order to secure common ground between the centre-right and far-right factions of the cabinet.
The far-right religious bloc insisted on altering a clause committing the government to “strengthen the affinity between the state and the Jewish people,” ensuring that it would only apply to foreign Jews. The religious parties feared that if, as in its original language, the bill applied to Israeli Jews as well, it would legitimate liberal streams of the Jewish religion, and weaken their own monopoly on issues of synagogue and state.
The centre-right members of Netanyahu’s coalition government worried that, were the law to include language which could be easily understood as enshrining racial discrimination into law, it could further sour Israel’s relations with the world’s western democracies, who are still its most important international allies and largest trading partners.
One clause in particluar, 7b, had attracted much concern from Israel’s allies and even its presidnet, Reuven Rivlin.
Clause 7b would have allowed Jewish-only communities, and said the “state can allow a community composed of people of the same faith or nationality to maintain an exclusive community”.
Rivlin condemned the clause, saying it would “allow any community to establish residential communities that exclude Sephardic Jews, Ultra-Orthodox people, Druze, LGBT people”.
Under such pressure and encouraged by the centre right, 7b was removed, with the article concerning Jewish settlement changed to: “The state views the development of Jewish settlement as a national value and will act to encourage and promote its establishment and consolidation” – mandating state support for Jewish-only communities.
However, MK Dov Khenin from the Joint List indicated that the new wording, which was drafted by ultra-nationalist Naftali Bennet, is even worse than the original.
“While the earlier wording pretended to be neutral, stating that separate communities were possible for each group, now the cat is out of the bag and it’s stating explicitly that only Jewish communities will get priority,” he said.
“This is a model of undisguised racism, suited only to corrupt rulers who have lost all shame.”
Prior to the law’s passing, over 900 locales in Israel – approximately three-quarters of all townships in the country – already forbade non-Jews from living within their municipal borders.
Sanctioning the state to diminish the property rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel is seemingly backed by widespread popular support. An Israel Democracy Institute poll published in November found that two-thirds of Israeli Jews believe that the right of Palestinian citizens of Israel to buy land in the country should be curtailed, while a quarter of Israeli Jews said any such purchases should be forbidden altogether.
In recent weeks, a family of Palestinian citizens of Israel who purchased a home in the northern city of Afula was protested by hundreds of locals, including the former mayor, who told local press, “’the residents of Afula don’t want a mixed city, but rather a Jewish city, and it’s their right. This is not racism.”
Adalah has panned the Nation-State law, saying it “discriminates against the Arabs in the fields of citizenship, property and land, language and culture, and justifies their inferiority in all spheres of life by excluding them from the political community that constitutes the sovereign in their homeland”.
“No country in the world today is defined as a democratic state where the constitutional identity is determined by ethnic affiliation that overrides the principle of equal citizenship,” the group said in a statement.

Als je denkt dat je alles wel gezien hebt, krijg je foto’s te zien via NB een christelijke organisatie, die deze aanname volkomen te niet doet….. Foto’s van kindslachtoffers die met opzet door psychopathisch gewelddadige Israëlische scherpschutters werden vermoord…..

Nogmaals: scherpschutters, ofwel schoften die met grote precisie op afstand mensen kunnen uitschakelen, zelfs zonder hen te doden, ofwel hier is geen sprake van verdwaalde kogels, deze scherpschutters nemen niet alleen kinderen onder vuur, maar doen dit met de opzet hen te doden, ofwel hen te vermoorden…….
Jammer dat het Christians United For Palestine (CUFPa) het in het hieronder opgenomen artikel continue over joden heeft, terwijl het hier gaat om een deel van de joden, t.w. zionisten die wat betreft hun handelen en het doen van uitlatingen maar met één groep ‘ideologen’ kunnen worden vergeleken: fascisten!
Voorts beweert CUFPa dat Hitler zou blozen bij wat ‘de joden’ de Palestijnen aandoen, een bewering die nergens op slaat, je kan hooguit zeggen (en dat is al erg genoeg) dat Israel zich bedient van nazi-methoden. Daarover gesproken: begin 90er jaren luidde een groep officieren van het Israelsiche leger de klok met de mededeling dat er tijdens hun opleiding o.a. les werd gegeven uit het SS handboek, bijvoorbeeld over het beheersen van een getto…….
Het voorgaande doet niets af aan de walgelijkheid van de getoonde beelden en het handelen van het Israëlische leger tegen ongewapende demonstranten en in dit geval zelfs kinderen…… Bij het artikel is geen datum genoemd, maar gezien de tekst moet het hier gaan om de week volgend op de eerste drie weken van de Great Return March, die eind maart dit jaar begon.

February 23, 2018 “Information Clearing House” A Palestinian man died after he was beaten by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho early Thursday.

 Yasin al-Saradih, 33, was arrested from his house at approximately 2 am, Eid Barahmeh, head of the Palestinian prisoners club in Jericho, told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

 Israeli forces notified the family of al-Saradih’s death two hours later.

 The Israeli military changed its story about the events surrounding al-Saradih’s death after a video emerged showing soldiers striking him.

 The video shows a number of soldiers gathered around al-Saradih, some apparently beating him while he is on the ground. They then drag his body away. The video does not show al-Saradih posing any threat to them.

Al-Saradih’s brother-in-law, Ismail al-Masri, told local media that Israeli soldiers beat al-Saradih “in every part of his body, especially his stomach and back.”


 Prisoners rights group Addameer and the Palestinian Prisoners Club are calling al-Saradih’s death an extrajudicial killing.

 “Israeli occupation forces routinely use excessive force in an unnecessary and disproportionate manner, which is in violation of international law,” the groups said.

 Issa Qaraqe, head of the Palestinian Authority’s prisoners affairs committee, told local radio on Thursday that the cause of al-Saradih’s death was a severe beating to the head.

 Al-Saradih’s family told Haaretz that he did not suffer from any prior medical issues. They added that he was not affiliated with any political organizations.

 Al-Saradih had previously been wounded by gunfire in 2002 during the second intifada.

Changing story

Before the video was published, the Israeli military had claimed that al-Saradih attacked soldiers with a knife and attempted to steal a gun, Haaretz reported. They also stated that military medics treated al-Saradih on the scene.

 The military retracted their initial statement and issued another one after the video emerged.

 The new statement alleges that al-Saradih ran towards soldiers who were carrying out arrests of “wanted persons” in the city of Jericho and that he tried to attack them with an iron bar.

“The force responded with gunfire, confronted the terrorist and succeeded in stopping him,” it states.
It does not clearly state his cause of death, however.

 According to Haaretz, al-Saradih’s body was taken to Israel’s Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for an autopsy, but no bullet wounds were found on the body.

 “Therefore, the growing assessment is that the man died from the beating he sustained from the soldiers,” according to Haaretz.

 Palestinians are planning to seek another autopsy in a Palestinian hospital once al-Saradih’s body is returned, the Palestinian Authority’s Qaraqe told media.

 It is unclear how long Israel will withhold his body or whether it will allow another autopsy.

Impunity

This is not the first time an official Israeli version of events has had to be revised following the emergence of video, +972 Magazine observed.

 For example, Israeli army medic Elor Azarya* was caught on video shooting at close range injured and disarmed Palestinian Abd al-Fattah Yusri al-Sharif while he was lying incapacitated on a street in Hebron in March 2016.

 +972 Magazine characterized the initial reports as, “Soldier stabbed, assailants killed.”
“Everything changed a few hours later when video of the execution-style killing was published,” the Israeli news site added.

 Israeli forces killed a second Palestinian during the same incident, Ramzi Aziz al-Qasrawi, though that slaying was not caught on video.

 On Thursday, Palestinians in Jericho observed a strike to protest al-Saradih’s killing:
