Nike begint reclame campagne met Colin Kaepernick, de ‘American’ football speler die knielde tijdens het volkslied

Colin Kaepernick, de ‘American’ football speler, werd uitgekotst nadat hij volkomen terecht uit protest tegen het grote aantal moorden door de politie in de VS op gekleurde VS burgers*, knielde tijdens het volkslied i.p.v. te staan met de hand op het hart. (ha! ha! ha! ha!) Gekleurde burgers die jaarlijks (veelal) zonder enige reden worden doodgeschoten door de politie…… E.e.a. ingegeven door de Black Lives Matter (BLM) beweging, die zich het lot van de zwarte bevolking in de VS aantrekt.

Staan met de hand op het hart voor het belachelijke volkslied van de VS, onderdeel van ceremonies die een genocide op de oorspronkelijke bewoners moet verdoezelen en er bij de kinderen al instampt dat de VS het door god gegeven land (aan de import burgers) is………

Vanmorgen bracht BNR dit nieuws, waarin o.a. werd gemeld dat hysterische nationalistische burgers op grote schaal hun Nike schoenen hebben verbrand (de kwalificaties zijn van mijn hand, zoals je waarschijnlijk al had begrepen)…… Ofwel een fiks deel van de VS bevolking maakt zich net als de president, het beest Trump, druk om het knielen voor het volkslied**, terwijl ze zich niet eens druk maken over de jaarlijkse massamoord op hun gekleurde medeburgers……..
Kaepernick stond al lang onder contract bij Nike, al deed Nike daar na alle consternatie niets mee, Kaepernick werd overigens gewoon doorbetaald door het bedrijf. Wel heeft het bedrijf laten weten het recht van vrijheid op meningsuiting te respecteren, daarmee gaf het bedrijf in feite aan dat het achter Kaepernick en zijn collega’s die zijn voorbeeld volgden staat.
Het is dan ook een geweldige stap van Nike om nu een reclame campagne te starten met Kaeperick ‘in de hoofdrol.’

Colin Kaepernick, the former N.F.L. quarterback who inspired a player protest movement but who has been out of a job for more than a year, has signed a new, multiyear deal with Nike that makes him a face of the 30th anniversary of the sports apparel company’s “Just Do It” campaign, Nike confirmed on Monday.
The first advertisement from Nike, one of the league’s top partners, debuted Monday afternoon, when Kaepernick tweeted it, assuring that his activism and the protest movement against racism and social injustice he started would continue to loom over one of the country’s most powerful sports leagues.
Nike will produce new Kaepernick apparel, including a shoe and a T-shirt, and if the merchandise sells well, the value of the deal will rival those of other top N.F.L. players, according to people close to the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because Nike had not formally announced it. Nike will also donate money to Kaepernick’s “Know Your Rights” campaign.
The N.F.L. did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The ad and the campaign, coming a few days before the start of the N.F.L. season on Thursday, is likely to annoy the league’s top executives and its owners. On Thursday, Kaepernick won a victory in his grievance against the league when an arbitrator let his case, in which he accuses the league of conspiring to keep him off the field because of his activism, advance.
A wave of on-field protests has continued, with varying degrees of intensity, since summer 2016, when Kaepernick began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.
The N.F.L. has struggled to contain the on-field protests, which have also included raised fists and other gestures, which league officials have blamed for dragging down the league. Television ratings have declined and certain segments of the fan base have reacted angrily. President Trump has made the N.F.L. a target for not firing players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.
The Kaepernick deal could be awkward for the league.
In March, Nike and the N.F.L. announced an extension of an apparel deal through 2028. As part of that deal, Nike supplies 32 teams with game-day uniforms and sideline apparel that features the company’s swoosh logo. When that deal was announced, Brian Rolapp, the NFL’s chief media and business officer, called the company “a longtime and trusted partner” of the league.
Kaepernick and Nike already had an endorsement deal, dating to when he entered the league in 2011, but it was expiring soon and has now been extended.
The new Kaepernick ad features a close-up, black-and-white photograph of his face, with copy that references his kneeling and his belief that his activism is keeping him out of the league.
The ad reads: “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
When asked if Nike had run the campaign by the N.F.L., a spokeswoman, Sandra Carreon-John, responded: “Nike has a longstanding relationship with the N.F.L. and works extensively with the league on all campaigns that use current N.F.L. players and its marks. Colin is not currently employed by an N.F.L. team and has no contractual obligation to the N.F.L.”
The new contract was negotiated by Kaepernick’s lawyers, Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas, and Nike executives.
Even as the N.F.L. season approaches, the Kaepernick story has continued to dominate the N.F.L. narrative. On Friday, Kaepernick received an ovation from the crowd at the United States Open match between Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
Serena Williams, LeBron James, Odell Beckham Jr., Shaquem Griffin and Lacey Baker are also part of the “Just Do It” anniversary campaign.
Nike’s decision to make new Kaepernick merchandise and to make him the face of a campaign could, if they are successful for the company, undercut the argument from N.F.L. owners that he is bad for business. Previously, Nike stated that it “supports athletes and their right to freedom of expression on issues that are of great importance to our society,” but the company had not used Kaepernick in any recent ad campaigns.
There is reason to believe that Kaepernick, despite not playing, will move merchandise. During the second quarter of 2017, his officially licensed jersey was the 39th-best selling in the league. As an unsigned free agent, he was the only player in the top 50 of those rankings not signed to a team.
With Kaepernick seemingly having little chance of playing in the N.F.L. again, Geragos was eager to try to portray him as something more than a football player.

“I give Nike credit for understanding that he’s not just an athlete, he has become an icon,” Geragos said.

* In de periode 2015 t/m 7 juli 2016 was het totale aantal doden door politiekogels 1.712. ** Terwijl knielen ook een vorm is van eerbied tonen, dat weten christenen maar al te goed en vreemd genoeg is het overgrote deel van de hysterische bevolking, die pissig is op Kaepernick, van het christelijk geloof en dan nog van de meer fanatieke kant van dat (onzinnige) geloof…..

Weer een typisch voorbeeld van ongebreidelde terreur: Israël dwong Faisal Abu-Binniyah z’n huis te slopen op de dag van z’n bruiloft…… Volgens Israël had de man geen recht een huis te bouwen in het dorp Wadi al-Na’am, de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël erkent eenvoudigweg het dorp met 13.000 inwoners niet……..

Israël voert deze afbraakpolitiek tegen bedoeïendorpen in de Negev (woestijn), om de bedoeïen te herplaatsen in door Israël aangewezen gehuchten, zodat de Joodse gemeenschappen in de Negev kunnen uitbreiden, door zich grond toe te eigenen waarop de bedoeïen woonden……

Mensen wat een ellende en vernedering waarin deze mensen moeten leven, zo heeft Israël een ander bedoeïenendorp, al-Araqib voor de 132ste keer vernietigd, zo meldt Middle East Monitor (MEMO)…….* Ongelofelijk dat de wereld Israël dag in dag uit haar gang laat gaan met het vertrappen van Palestijnen en hun (mensen-) rechten……

Deze bedoeïenen zijn ook Palestijnen, waar velen van hen zich vestigden in de Negev, na te zijn verdreven uit hun oorspronkelijke Palestijnse gebieden (voor tijdens en) na de stichting van de zionistische apartheidsstaat Israël in 1948 (bij het verdrijven van deze Palestijnen hebben de terroristische zionisten, ofwel fascisten, een groot aantal Palestijnen vermoord, zoals Israël dit af en aan tot op de dag van vandaag blijft doen……)

Israeli occupation police on Saturday evening forced a Palestinian man in the Negev to demolish his home on his wedding day, Arab48 reported. Faisal Abu-Binniyah in Wadi Al-Naam village was forced to raze the property in which he planned to start his new family, his brother Jalal said, leaving “him without an alternative”.

“The demolition of my brother’s house ended our happiness at his marriage as we were subject to repeated raids by Israeli police and repeated threats to pay high fines if we did not demolish the house,” Jalal told Arab48.

Jalal described the measures of the Israeli police against his family as a “revenge policy”, stating that this is “intentionally planned against Arabs.”
Wadi Al-Naam is the largest unrecognised Arab villages in the Negev with a population estimated to be more than 13,000.
Most of the residents in this village were forced out of their homes by the Israeli occupation forces in 1953. Like all other unrecognized villages they lack the basic infrastructure including access to running water and connection to the national grid.
According to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), more than half of the approximately 160,000 Bedouins in the Negev reside in unrecognised villages.
The unrecognised Bedouin villages were established in the Negev soon after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war following the creation of the State of Israel.
Right groups say that the demolition of unrecognised Bedouin villages is a central Israeli policy aimed at removing the indigenous Palestinian population from the Negev and transferring them to government-zoned townships to make room for the expansion of Jewish Israeli communities.

Hashima en de Japanse ontkenning van wreedheden tijdens WOII

De schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Andre Vltchek, heeft een reis gemaakt naar Japan om daar het eiland Hashima (ook bekend als Gunkanjima), in de buurt van Nagasaki te bezoeken.

Vltcheck wilde met eigen ogen het eiland zien waar Japan duizenden Koreaanse en Chinese gevangenen liet werken in de mijnen en op de scheepswerven waar oorlogsschepen werden gebouwd. Het meest gruwelijk was wel het lot van Chinese en Koreaanse vrouwen die daar als seksslaven te werk werden gesteld…….
Vltcheck beschrijft hoe je je als bezoeker moet onderwerpen aan de strakke regie van de gidsen, die geen vragen wensen te beantwoorden die niet in het Japanse straatje passen, dus geen vragen over de werkslaven en de seksslaven. Van 1919 tot 1945 werd Korea bezet door Japanse troepen en in die tijd werden naar schatting 60.000 Koreanen gedeporteerd naar Japan om daar als slaven te worden ingezet (op plekken als Hashima)…….
Het eiland heeft intussen de status van werelderfgoed gekregen (van de UNESCO), daarvoor heeft Japan beloofd aandacht te schenken aan de slavernij op Hashima en nog een paar van dergelijke industriële terreinen. Je raadt het al: van die aandacht is niets te merken en men wordt zelfs pissig als je ernaar durft te vragen…….
Japan herschrijft haar geschiedenis en voor WOII heeft men amper plek in de geschiedenisboeken, e.e.a. heeft alles te maken met het steeds sterker wordend nationalisme, dat zoals je weet vaak de voorloper is van fascisme en vooral gepaard gaat met een fascistische zienswijze op de geschiedenis……..
Men zegt vaak dat we kunnen leren van de geschiedenis, echter dat geldt duidelijk niet voor zaken als fascisme, of de vele uitwassen van het kapitalisme waar zovelen, het dodelijke slachtoffer van werden……… (het cliché: ‘van hard werken is nog nooit iemand doodgegaan’, is een smerige leugen, vooral gebezigd door welgestelden en neoliberale politici, zoals die van de VVD, CDA, D66 en de zogenaamde christelijke partijen CU en SGP, zelfs politici van de PvdA hebben deze leugen in het verleden gebezigd…….. Al duizenden jaren hebben mensen zich daadwerkelijk doodgewerkt, ‘niets nieuws onder de zon…..’)

Hashima – Brutal History and the Most Haunted Island on Earth

August 08, 2018 “Information Clearing House” – Do you want to see perhaps the spookiest island on earth – Hashima (also known as Gunkanjima – the Battleship Island) – which is located just 30 minutes by speedboat from the historic Japanese port city of Nagasaki? Now you can. Just book online, pay the equivalent of 40 American dollars, and then hop on one of those shiny sleek vessels belonging to Gunkanjima Concierge or to some other company.

 Do it, and you will see the island which looks like an abandoned monstrous wreck; like a sunken and haunted ship.

 You will sail around it. You will even be able to disembark and walk a few hundred meters on a fenced path. Guides/minders will let you take a few snapshots.

 But that is all. No stepping left or right off the path. No going ahead of the group. No lagging behind. And please, no ‘provocative’ questions!

 The guides are well trained to ‘entertain you’, to tell you just how ‘haunted’ the island is and how ‘vibrant’ it used to be in the past.

 Sugary smiles never leave their faces.

But were you to defy their written and unwritten rules, they’d immediately jump and appear next to you. They would even loudly scold you. Suddenly they’d become very rude.


What are they afraid of? What are they hiding? What really took place on this island?
The true horrors of the past will never be conveyed to you. It is all about WWII, and Japan is still in denial.

A Japanese tour guide (designated for the Japanese-speaking visitors) as well as a carefully prepared electronic recording for the English speakers, will recount countless details about the island’s geography and uncontroversial chapters of history, but close to nothing about the terror of the slave labor into which the Korean and Chinese people were forced into, during World War II.

On 6 July 2015, The Guardian reported:

“Unesco has decided to grant world heritage status to more than 20 old industrial sites in Japan after officials from the country agreed to acknowledge that some of them used Korean forced labourers before and during the second world war.

The 23 Meiji period (1868-1912) sites include coalmines and shipyards that Japan says contributed to its transformation from feudalism into a successful modern economy.

South Korea, however, had opposed the application for world heritage status unless clear reference was made to the use of an estimated 60,000 labourers forced to work at seven of the sites, including the island coalmine Gunkanjima, during Japan’s 1910-1945 colonial rule over the Korean peninsula.”

Opposition was also expressed by China (PRC).

The issue of forced labor and Tokyo’s stubborn rejection to acknowledge it, delayed the inscription of the sites by UNESCO. However, in 2015, Japan yielded, and its delegation to UNESCO declared:

“Japan is prepared to take measures that allow an understanding that there were a large number of Koreans and others who were brought against their will and forced to work under harsh conditions in the 1940s at some of the sites”.

The sites, including the notorious Hashima/Gunkanjima, eventually gained world heritage status. In exchange, both South Korea and China expected Japan to highlight the suffering of their people during the occupation and WWII. The sites where forced laborers used to be held, were supposed to carry clearly marked and detailed explanations. But as in so many other cases related to its dark history, Japan did close to nothing to keep its side of the bargain. With the world heritage status, it got what it wanted, but gave almost nothing in return.

In May, I spent three days in Nagasaki, visiting my friend, a leading left-wing Australian historian, Geoffrey Gunn.

For many years, I have been coming to this city, searching for answers to a myriad of questions related to Japan’s and Asia’s complex past.

The past of Nagasaki has it all: great old Japanese culture, Christians and their prosecution, the Dutch traders and their settlement, a vibrant Chinese minority. Nagasaki was always one of the most ‘open’ cities in Japan, by choice or by force. But also, this is where the military ships were built, where many slave laborers were brought to from the occupied territories, and this is also where the second A-bomb was exploded by the US at the end of WWII.

Seen from the roof of the imposing Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, the bay of the city is still dotted with WWII ‘relics’. Near the water, there is a huge crane, another fragment of an industrial UNESCO world heritage site. The crane belongs to the Mitsubishi shipyards, which have been, for long decades, producing and repairing Japan’s military vessels.

“Officially, Japan does not have a military,” I said, sarcastically. “But look, it is in possession of these huge battleships, docked at the other side of the bay.”

“You are lucky. They just arrived here,” said Geoff. “These docks played an extremely important role in the past. Gunkanjima mines also belonged to Mitsubishi. They were excavating coal there, and then building some of the largest battleships here, in Nagasaki.”

For the rest of the evening we discussed the bizarre refusal of the Japanese governments and public to acknowledge the past. Even now, more than 70 years after the end of the war, these issues are taboo: the genocide committed against the Chinese people, and the terrible crimes against the Koreans.

Often, when the past is mentioned, the famously polite Japanese people suddenly become defensive, even aggressive.

In 2015, Japan began literally blackmailing UNESCO, temporarily withdrawing its payment dues, after the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Agency listed the 1937 Nanjing Massacre documents in its “Memory of the World” program. The funds were eventually released, but the message was sent, clearly and patently.

This stubborn refusal to deal with the horrors of the past is bringing Japan closer and closer to the deadly embrace of the West, particularly the United States, and further and further away from potentially friendly relations with the rest of north Asia, particularly China.

After WWII, the so-called Tokyo Trial supervised by the US (also known as The International Military Tribunal for the Far East (IMTFE)) was clearly designed to punish just a few individuals, while preserving the Japanese industrial, business and political system in its original form, so it could serve the interests of the West. After the trial, Japan was allowed to rebuild and to join the West in its aggressive policy towards the Asia Pacific. It played a significant role in the brutal Korean War, during which the West massacred millions of Korean citizens.

“Modern Japan has no foreign policy,” I was once told by the Irish academic and political analyst David McNeal, who is based in Tokyo. “It is strictly following the US dictate. The same goes for the media coverage of the international events.”

David has no illusions about the Japanese take on its history:

“They are rewriting text books; they skip through WWII, dedicating to it only eight pages… Nationalism is rising… There is so much self-censorship in Japanese media, now. And the government is issuing ‘guidelines’, the so-called ‘Orange Book’, for instance: how to treat anything that is ‘contagious’… or anything related to history. There are instructions to writers and translators. For instance: ‘never use words like Nanking Massacre, except when you quote foreign experts’. Or ‘Yasukuni Shrine – never use word “controversial” in connection to it.’ We cannot write about ‘sexual slaves’ from WWII.”

The more ignorant about its past Japan gets, the more it seems to strongly dislike its former victims – China and Korea. According to a Pew Research Center poll (2017), 83% of the Japanese people have an unfavorable view of China. Korea does not fare much better. Both countries (PRC and ROK) are now clearly leaving Japan behind, when it comes to the economy and in the case of South Korea, the standard of living. The reaction of Tokyo: moving closer and closer towards the West, while adopting an increasingly aggressive policy towards two communist nations: China and North Korea.

But back to the Battleship Island… You pay, and you get onboard. Right from the beginning, even before the vessel departs from Nagasaki, you get bombarded by outrageous propaganda: about that “samurai spirit” of Japan and the entire Nagasaki area.

There is continuous control, right from the start. You get up from your seat, and immediately someone approaches you: Where are you going? Do you want to change seat? No, you cannot sit here…” Guides (or call them minders) sound extremely rude: their English is primitive, while their obsession with all sorts of rules and regulations is fundamentalist.

An old dude who is here clearly in order to play the role of the main propagandist, is continuously clarifying things into the microphone. His voice is amplified, and his performance soon turns into an annoying and uninterrupted flow of verbal diarrhea. There is no space for reflection – no time to feel and to pause or let alone to ask some serious questions.

Whenever he stops, some cheaply-made video begins playing on the screen. Then advertisements of Kirin Beer are beamed.

The yacht is sailing towards the place that held thousands of people as slave laborers, where many died, where women were turned into sexual slaves. But the circus goes on. No reflection and no repentance.

On the island, I refuse to follow the group. I lag behind, trying to avoid loud noise and the herd of people. Of course, I soon get confronted by two “guides”, trying to push me back towards the flock.

I ignore them, keep filming.

They become aggressive. One shouts: “This is Japan. Follow our rules!”

I keep filming.

I did not come here to be loved. The reason for my journey was simple: to determine whether the Japanese government sticks to the deal it made with UNESCO, Korea and China – whether it marks and commemorates the sites where forced laborers were pushed into an inhuman existence and work, and where some of them, died.

I found nothing of that kind: no information, no commemoration!

Back in Nagasaki, I asked for brochures explaining the past. There were no such brochures. The organizers of the island visits had no idea what I was asking about.

Later, the next day, professor Gunn took me to a small private museum managed by local Koreans, commemorating the terror which Japan committed against the Korean and Chinese people.

At least this is where the truth about ‘the most haunted island’ on Earth can be found. If one could find that tiny museum…

Gunkanjima – a ghost island which resembles, at least from a distance, a mighty destroyer; an island dotted with tall buildings now lacking windows and doors. An island where thousands of miners used to go down into deep shafts, some voluntarily, some by force. An island – Gunkanjima – where many people used to live, and many died. A place so mysterious and so unique, beautiful in its own way, but also both symbolic and horrifying.

PS: Als je het artikel van Vltcheck leest, zou je kunnen denken dat de tweede atoombom die de VS afwierp op Nagasaki ook Hashima trof, echter dat is niet waar, wel werd Nagasaki afgeschilderd als doel met grote militaire aanwezigheid en militaire bedrijvigheid…… Al had de VS met een atoomaanval op Hashima de duizenden werkslaven daar getroffen. De VS gebruikte de leugen over ‘het militaire karakter van Nagasaki’ om de atoomaanval op die stad ‘te verantwoorden……….’ (en ja ook de VS overheid is expert in geschiedvervalsing……) Wel werden veel dwangarbeiders in de stad Nagasaki zelf getroffen door de tweede atoombom die de VS op Japan afwierp (in feite was de aanval op burgerdoel Nagasaki, zoals die op Hiroshima, ook een test zodat men de gevolgen van zo’n laffe schoftenaanval nog beter kon bestuderen….)……

Toevoeging op 27 juli 2018: vanmorgen werd bekend gemaakt dat Ahed al-Tamimi morgen, na meer dan een half jaar, eindelijk zal worden vrijgelaten! Ahed werd uiteindelijk 2 dagen later vrijgelaten op 29 juli 2018 en dus niet op 28 juli.

Zijne houten VVD kwaadaardigheid Blok, die godbetert minister van Buitenlandse Zaken mag spelen, schoot onlangs met 20 kilometer per uur totaal uit de bocht….. De plork liet weten dat Suriname een failed state is en dat dit het gevolg is van culturele scheidslijnen……

Waar haalt deze zak patat ‘t vandaan?? Is er zonder dat wij er iets van weten een burgeroorlog uitgebroken in Suriname, of maken de hindoestanen jacht op de creolen? Verre van dat, de mensen leven prima samen in dat land….

Blok stelde dus dat vreedzaam samenleven in een multiculturele samenleving onmogelijk is…… Terwijl de praktijk het tegenovergestelde laat zien: neem Syrië, voordat de VS daar een opstand organiseerde en er IS strijders en andere terroristen naartoe vervoerde, vooral uit Libië…… Syrië was een land waar meerdere culturen (en religies) vreedzaam naast elkaar leefden, een zaak waar het westen o.l.v. de VS een eind aan maakten, met de volledige steun van….. Stef Blok!! Overigens was hetzelfde van toepassing op Libië, totdat de VS en haar NAVO oorlogshond een eind aan maakte en het land terug bombardeerde van het rijkste Afrikaanse land tot bijna het armste…… Alweer met volledige steun van… Stef Blok en zijn misdadigerspartij…….

Als het gaat om ‘failed states’ moet je kijken naar landen als Libië, Irak en Afghanistan, waar de oorzaak van het falen zonder meer te danken is aan westerse terreur, terreur die volop wordt gesteund door Blok en zijn VVD….

Blok zei dat de oorspronkelijke bevolkingen niet meer bestaan in multiculturele samenlevingen….. Met andere woorden: ook in ons land bestaat de oorspronkelijke bevolking niet meer…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Tja, de Kaninefaten zijn niet meer terug te vinden, zou hij dan toch…… Eén ding is een feit: steeds vaker trouwen witte Nederlanders met mensen uit andere culturen en wonen mensen van verschillende culturen samen, dat zou er op den duur toe kunnen leiden dat echt witte Nederlanders tot de minderheid gaan behoren, echter dat heeft niets, maar dan ook helemaal niets te maken met onderlinge strijd!!

Leeghoofd Blok dacht de Schilderswijk als voorbeeld te kunnen noemen, echter toen de Schilderswijk nog helemaal wit was, kon je daar als niet-Schilderswijker beter niet naar binnen gaan, daar waarschuwden zelfs de ouders van jonge Hagenaars voor en dat tot in de 70er jaren van de vorige eeuw!! Dit heeft dan ook alles te maken met de sociale achterstand van het grootste deel van de inwoners die deze wijk bevolken en weet je wat het leuke is: ondanks grote achterstand bij velen in de Schilderswijk, kan je tegenwoordig zonder probleem door de Schilderswijk wandelen of fietsen, niemand zal je uitschelden of zelfs maar scheef aankijken……* De armoede in de Schilderswijk is zelfs deels door Blok vergroot, met zijn schandalige jaarlijkse huurverhogingen, veelal aan mensen die letterlijk geen cent extra kunnen missen…….**

 Mensen die niet welkom zijn in de Schilderswijk zijn de fascisten zoals die van de PVV die willen demonstreren in die wijk, dan wel vertegenwoordigers van de rechtse pers, zoals die van de Telegraaf en Geen Stijl, die bijna dagelijks de inwoners van dergelijke wijken demoniseren…..

Den Haag is gelukkig een vreedzame stad en dat is zowel in de Vogelwijk zo als in elke andere wijk in Den Haag, oh nee, verkeerde voorbeeld, als je in de Vogelwijk of het Benoordenhout (ook aangehaald door Blok) van je fiets stapt of door die wijk wandelt wordt je al snel opvallend en achterdochtig in de gaten gehouden door de welgestelde bewoners….. En daarvoor is het bepaald niet nodig om van buitenlandse komaf te zijn……

Zoals al vaker gesteld: hoe is het mogelijk dat leeghoofd Blok is benoemd tot minister van Buitenlandse Zaken?? Weer slaat Nederland internationaal een pleefiguur, om nog eens een kleingeestige VVD opperploert te citeren >> Frits ‘gifgas’ Bolkestein……

Blok zaaide haat met zijn achterlijke uitspraken en dat heeft hij in het geheel niet weggewist met zijn achterlijke ‘excuus!!’ (geen excuus maar een totaal mislukte poging zijn woorden anders te duiden)…..

Blok dient af te treden en zo snel mogelijk!! (daarna ajb niet nog een VVD’er op dit ministerie, daarvoor is het geteisem uit die partij veel te kortzichtig!! Neem ook de leugens van VVD superlangstudeerder en oorlogshitser Zijlstra, eerder op die plek)

Nederland is ondanks af en toe wat ophef, vooral veroorzaakt door fascisten als Wilders, het voorbeeld van een vreedzame, functionerende multiculturele samenleving!! (al valt er veel te verbeteren, iets dat niets te maken heeft met het multiculturele karakter, maar alles met het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberale beleid van Rutte 1, 2 en nu weer 3…..)

* Een aantal jaren geleden werden vrouwen zonder hoofddoek nogal eens uitgescholden door islamitische jongeren van het manlijke geslacht, echter dit behoort ook al lang tot het verleden.

** Blok heeft daarnaast nog eens stadsbesturen en woningcorporaties onder druk gezet goede sociale huurwoningen te slopen en gestimuleerd hele blokken sociale huurwoningen te verkopen aan buitenlandse investeerders, huizen die daarna werden verbouwd tot peperdure appartementen, zodat nog minder sociale huurwoningen beschikbaar komen bijvoorbeeld t.b.v. jonge starters…… Waar deze opperschoft het presteerde iets beter verdienende huurders af te schilderen als scheefwoners, alsof zij de woningnood hebben gecreëerd en niet de opvolgende ministers van Volkshuisvesting met hulp van wethouders voor de grote politieke partijen (tot en met die van de PvdA)……

Israëlische ‘helden’ schieten weer een ongewapend kind dood

Ja dat je nog moet benadrukken, dat de 14 jarige jongen die afgelopen vrijdag door een Israëlische ‘held’ (psychopaat) werd vermoord, niet gewapend was, is eigenlijk wel het meest trieste dat te melden is, sinds Israël, vergelijkbaar met nazi-moordenaars sinds maart jl. ongewapende demonstranten afknalt, als betrof het dieren waarmee Israël denkt te kunnen doen wat het wil……

In het westen wil men dit gewoon niet weten en ziet men als de fascistische zionisten in Israël, de Palestijnen als onmensen die nergens recht op kunnen doen gelden, zelfs niet als ze al vele generaties lang in hun huizen woonden en hun grond bewerkten….. (waar een enorm aantal Palestijnen al in 1948 uiterst gewelddadig werden verjaagd en waarbij velen van hen werden vermoord door de zionisten, ofwel: fascisten…. Nog steeds hebben de Palestijnen zich te schikken naar de wil van zionisten en moeten maar oprotten naar een ander land (uiteraard niet naar het westen)…..

Er wordt nu in kringen van de Israëlische regering zelfs openlijk gesproken de Palestijnen nog massaler te vermoorden en de rest het land uit te jagen, waar deze psychopaten ook de illegaal bezette gebieden tot Israëlisch grondgebied rekenen……

 Israël blokkeert de Gazastrook al jaren en het ontbreekt de Palestijnen (nog steeds mensen als jij en ik) aan van alles, zelfs water moet aangevoerd worden en er is maar voor een paar uur per dag elektriciteit…….. Deze blokkade die zelfs moet voorkomen dat mensen de openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook verlaten*, is de reden voor het enorme protest van de Palestijnen

Israel kills child as Gaza marks 100 days of protests

 Israeli snipers killed a child on Friday and fatally wounded a second person as Palestinians marked more than 100 days of Great March of Return protests in Gaza.
Uthman Rami Hillis, 14, was killed by live fire, according to the human rights group Al Mezan**.
Hillis, from the neighborhood of Shujaiya, was shot by Israeli forces stationed across the boundary east of Gaza City, the group stated.
On Saturday, the health ministry in Gaza announced that 20-year-old Muhammad Nasir Shurab had died of injuries he suffered the day before when he was shot by snipers east of Khan Younis.
More than more 100 people across Gaza were injured, 65 with live ammunition.
Defense for Children International Palestine shared a video said to show the moment Hilles was shot. It shows the boy climbing on the separation fence along the Gaza-Israel boundary, but presenting no direct or mortal threat to anyone at the moment he was killed.

Video showed distressing scenes as relatives mourned over Hillis’ body at the morgue of al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

Before Hillis’ death on Friday, the UN humanitarian monitoring agency OCHA reported that 21 children were among the nearly 150 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since 30 March, the vast majority of them during protests. More than 4,000 others have been wounded by live fire.
During the same period, four Israelis have been injured.

Standing with Khan al-Ahmar

For the 16th Friday in a row thousands of Palestinians headed towards Gaza’s eastern boundary.
Since 30 March, Palestinians have been mounting protests against Israel’s 11-year siege of Gaza and to call for the right of refugees to return to lands from which they were expelled and are excluded by Israel because they are not Jews.
Israel has responded by deploying snipers with orders to shoot unarmed civilians including children – killings and maimings the International Criminal Court prosecutor has warned could lead to Israeli leaders being tried for war crimes.
The theme of this Friday’s protest was solidarity with Khan al-Ahmar, a Bedouin village near Jerusalem which faces imminent demolition by Israel – a war crime – to make way for more Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Many Palestinians in Gaza addressed messages to the people of Khan al-Ahmar through local media.
“We are here today in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Khan al-Ahmar,” one man said. “All of Gaza is with you.”

Israel tightens siege

As Palestinians in Gaza sustain their revolt against the siege despite the devastating cost, Israel is responding by tightening the blockade even further.
On Monday, Israel announced the closing of Gaza’s only commercial goods crossing.
Israel is also reducing the distance Gaza fishers are allowed out to sea from nine to six nautical miles.
The steps are collective punishment against Gaza’s two million people for incendiary kites and balloons that Palestinians have launched, setting fire to fields on the Israeli side of the boundary.
Israel’s technologically advanced military has proven unable to counter the kites and balloons.
So once again, occupation authorities are inflicting more of the suffering that has spurred revolt against a situation in which the population in Gaza – half of them children – can only choose between dying by Israel’s bullets and bombs, or being reduced quietly to desperation and death by the siege.
Israel says it will allow in “humanitarian” supplies such as food and medicine, but UN officials are warning that the closure of the commercial crossing will make the situation in Gaza much worse.
The closure “can be expected to have profound and far reaching consequences for already desperate civilians,” Chris Gunness, spokesperson for UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestine refugees, stated on Thursday.
Gunness pointed out that among the imports banned by Israel were building materials for UN education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene projects.
Gaza’s water and sanitation systems are already near collapse following years of Israeli blockade and military attacks.

Inflicting suffering

Gisha, an Israeli human rights group that monitors the blockade of Gaza, said that Israel is banning all building materials, not just those destined for UN projects – which will quickly bring all construction in Gaza to a halt.
Already struggling businesses will also suffer huge losses.
Farmer Suleiman Zurub was waiting to ship 2,000 crates of sweet potatoes out through the crossing. That crop will now likely spoil. “Farmers are the big losers from this decision,” Zurub said, according to Gisha.
Hasan Shehadeh, who owns a clothing company, also faces huge losses as he is unable to ship goods to customers in Israel, the occupied West Bank and China.
“If things stay this way, I’ll suffer huge financial losses, because in my contracts I’ve signed a commitment to pay for every item left in my factory,” Shehadeh said, according to Gisha.
Shehadeh is also worried about the 200 people he employs. “Israel’s decision will affect them too, of course,” he said.

Early warnings

UNRWA’s Gunness predicted that the latest closure would lead to an increase in demand for UNRWA services.

This would come at a time when the agency, which provides emergency rations, health and education to hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza, faces an unprecedented financial crisis following the freezing of US contributions earlier this year.
Nearly 80 percent of Gaza’s population is already forced to rely on humanitarian assistance and the unemployment rate is close to 50 percent.
In June, UNRWA warned that it may have to make deep cuts to its already stretched services.
Even before the latest Israeli restrictions, UN officials pointed to signs of a sharply deteriorating situation.
From January 2017 to June this year, the percentage of essential drugs at a zero stock level in Gaza has risen steadily from one-third to one-half, according to OCHA – meaning there is less than a one-month supply for those medicines.
In June, the average number of hours of electricity per day was 4.5 hours, close to an all-time low since January 2017.
Meanwhile, over the past year, the number of people who have had to borrow money or food from family or friends rose from about one in three to nearly half.

International complicity

The European Union, which rarely criticizes Israel and has failed to condemn its massacres of civilians in Gaza, said on Friday that it “expects Israel to reverse” the decision to close the commercial crossing.
The statement from Brussels made no reference to Israel’s obligations as an occupying power to abide by international law, including the prohibition on collective punishment.
The EU even tacitly justified Israel’s action by including a demand that “Hamas and other actors in Gaza must cease and refrain from violent actions and provocations against Israel, including the launching of incendiary kites and balloons.”
By contrast, Gisha has called Israel’s resort to “collectively punishing nearly two million people in Gaza” by closing the goods crossing “both illegal and morally depraved.”
The Palestinian human rights group Al Mezan deplored “the international community’s continued tolerance of the collective punishment of the population of Gaza in violation of its legal obligations under international humanitarian law.”
Al Mezan warned that Gaza is witnessing “a social and economic collapse” and is heading towards an “explosion.”

Air attacks

Overnight Friday to Saturday, and again on Saturday, Israel carried out air strikes across Gaza.
Israel began the attacks Friday night “in response to an Israeli army officer sustaining wounds after a locally-made bomb was thrown at him at the borders of the Gaza Strip,” Ma’an News Agency reported, citing Israeli media.
The newspaper Haaretz reported that an Israeli officer “was moderately wounded by a hand grenade that was launched at him from the northern Gaza Strip” on Friday.
Israel claimed it attacked tunnels and sites used for the preparation of incendiary kites and balloons.
Palestinian resistance factions returned fire towards Israel by launching dozens of rockets.
On Saturday, Israel resumed bombing Gaza and claimed to have carried out the biggest daytime attacks on the territory since its 2014 assault.
According to Haaretz, the Israeli “army said the attacks on Saturday were “in response not only to the launches” of retaliatory rockets from Gaza, “but also to Hamas’ activities along the border and the incendiary balloons and kites.”

On Saturday, Haaretz reported that one rocket “exploded near an Israeli border community,” but that there had been no injuries.


The health ministry in Gaza said that by Saturday evening one person had suffered moderate injuries due to the ongoing Israeli air attacks.

On social media, Palestinians in Gaza reported loud explosions from bombing that appeared calculated to terrorize the population.

Israël verbiedt nu zelfs Palestijnen uit de Gazastrook het land te verlaten als zij een medische behandeling nodig hebben……

Dat de Gazastrook een openluchtgevangenis is, die het best te vergelijken is met het getto van Warschau tijdens WOII, zal waarschijnlijk nog maar een klein aantal mensen bevreemden, om die ‘over de streep te trekken heeft Israël nu zelfs een bootje met gewonde Palestijnen verhinderd de Gazastrook te verlaten om op Cyprus medische hulp te zoeken……. Als bij het getto van Warschau, waar de joden dit getto niet mochten verlaten…….

De gewonde Palestijnen waar het hier om gaat, zijn godbetert door Israëlische militairen gewond geraakt, waarbij ze nog ‘van geluk’ mogen spreken dat ze niet werden vermoord in de immer voortdurende grootscheepse Israëlische terreur……

Zoals zo vaak op deze plek gesteld: hoe is het in godsnaam mogelijk dat de wereld Israël laat begaan met haar uiterst gruwelijk fascistische geweld tegen een bevolking, die samengedrukt op een strook land gevangen zit en zich amper kan verzetten en verdedigen tegen het moderne Israëlische leger…… (zoals in het verleden bijvoorbeeld een Sioux krijger met pijl en boog geen kans had tegen het zwaar bewapende leger van de VS…)
Overigens op de West Bank is het niet veel beter, ook daar wordt de mensen met opzet het leven onmogelijk gemaakt, ofwel in feite is Israël bezig met een langzame etnische zuivering, immers als je niets meer hebt (zoals veel boeren op de West Bank, die de toegang wordt ontzegd tot hun al vele generaties in bezit zijnde landbouwgrond…) blijft er weinig anders over dan het land te verlaten…. Al blijkt nu dat inwoners van de Gazastrook zelfs dat wordt verboden……

Israeli military accuses Hamas of taking advantage of injured people

The Israeli Navy was dispatched Tuesday to stop a boat which departed the Gaza Strip, and which was carrying injured Palestinian civilians. The boat intended to take the injured civilians from border protests to Cyprus for medical treatment.

The Navy stopped the boat, surrounding it and towing it to an Israeli naval base at Ashdod. The military’s statement claimed that injured people on board are being treated by the Israeli military’s medical personnel.

 The military statement condemned Hamas, claiming the group was behind the “provocation on sea,” and was trying to “take advantage of injured and handicapped people.” Not mentioned in the statement was that the wounded Palestinians were wounded by Israeli crackdowns on protests.

 Israeli officials are arguing that the capture of the ship was legal because they consider their naval blockade of the Gaza Strip legal. Putting aside that question, the blockade was imposed to try to prevent ships reaching Gaza with goods, and is now being interpreted as forbidding people from fleeing the strip, even just to receive medical treatment.

Als je denkt dat je alles wel gezien hebt, krijg je foto’s te zien via NB een christelijke organisatie, die deze aanname volkomen te niet doet….. Foto’s van kindslachtoffers die met opzet door psychopathisch gewelddadige Israëlische scherpschutters werden vermoord…..

Nogmaals: scherpschutters, ofwel schoften die met grote precisie op afstand mensen kunnen uitschakelen, zelfs zonder hen te doden, ofwel hier is geen sprake van verdwaalde kogels, deze scherpschutters nemen niet alleen kinderen onder vuur, maar doen dit met de opzet hen te doden, ofwel hen te vermoorden…….
Jammer dat het Christians United For Palestine (CUFPa) het in het hieronder opgenomen artikel continue over joden heeft, terwijl het hier gaat om een deel van de joden, t.w. zionisten die wat betreft hun handelen en het doen van uitlatingen maar met één groep ‘ideologen’ kunnen worden vergeleken: fascisten!
Voorts beweert CUFPa dat Hitler zou blozen bij wat ‘de joden’ de Palestijnen aandoen, een bewering die nergens op slaat, je kan hooguit zeggen (en dat is al erg genoeg) dat Israel zich bedient van nazi-methoden. Daarover gesproken: begin 90er jaren luidde een groep officieren van het Israelsiche leger de klok met de mededeling dat er tijdens hun opleiding o.a. les werd gegeven uit het SS handboek, bijvoorbeeld over het beheersen van een getto…….
Het voorgaande doet niets af aan de walgelijkheid van de getoonde beelden en het handelen van het Israëlische leger tegen ongewapende demonstranten en in dit geval zelfs kinderen…… Bij het artikel is geen datum genoemd, maar gezien de tekst moet het hier gaan om de week volgend op de eerste drie weken van de Great Return March, die eind maart dit jaar begon.

Anti-Trump Cartoons Stopped by Censor at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

(FAIR) The work of Rob Rogers, longtime political cartoonist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, has been notably absent from his paper’s opinion page during this past week. Aside from a cartoon criticizing the trade war posted on Tuesday, June 5, the most recent of Rogers’ drawings appeared last Thursday, May 24.
So where was Rogers all of last week? He did not simply “have the day off,” as printed in last Tuesday’s issue of the Post-Gazette.
Keith Burris, the Post-Gazette’s editorial director since March, when it merged its editorial board with the co-owned Toledo Blade, refused to publish six of Rogers’ cartoons in a row. Four were directly critical of President Donald Trump, and two alluded to racism.
Despite not being published in the Post-Gazette, Rogers continued posting these cartoons on Twitter, as he does with all of his work.
May 25’s cartoon portrayed a referee calling penalties for exercising free speech, disrespecting the troops and eliciting Trump tweetstorms, in light of the NFL’s announcement of their new rule dictating players must stand during the national anthem:

On May 30, he criticized the NFL again, joking it was closed for “racial ignorance training” in light of Starbucks closing many of its locations for racial sensitivity training:

On May 31, Rogers satirized Roseanne Barr’s claim that her racist tweets were a result of her taking sleeping pills:

None of these cartoons appeared in the Post-Gazette, despite Rogers being the paper’s full-time staff political cartoonist.

Burris frequently writes in support of Trump for the Post-Gazette’s opinion section. In “Can Roseanne Restore Our Sense of Proportion?” (4/8/18), Burris referred to “Trump-hate” as “a mania, a fever, a hissy fit by the self-anointed guardians of all that is good and enlightened in America.” He argued:

God help you if you actually like some of what Mr. Trump does and dislike other things that he does or says. You are, in the words of a church lady who confronted me one day, “complicit.”
Burris wrote an editorial in January (1/15/18) headlined “Reason as Racism,” which defended Trump’s description of developing nations as “shithole countries,” and likened being called racist today with being labeled a Communist during the McCarthy Era.

 The paper’s publisher, John Robinson Block of Block Communications, which owns both the Post-Gazette and the Blade, insisted that the piece be printed, according to Post-Gazette reporter Michael A. Fuoco (CJR, 1/22/18). Fuoco went on to describe the dread he and the other newsroom employees felt in the wake of the piece’s publishing.
Block is an open Trump supporter, who (accompanied by Burris) met with Trump on his private plane in 2016 following a campaign rally, tweeting it was “a more than memorable experience” (9/22/16). He also suggested at a community forum on racism in 2013 (Toledo Blade, 9/17/13) that people of color should “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” like they did in the “old days”.

The Post-Gazette also came under fire in Nov. 2016 for their piece, “A Guide to Decide: Twelve Tests to Choose Between Clinton and Trump,” which was read by many as a crypto-endorsement of Trump.
Burris’ article was so incendiary that the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh, which noted it does not, as a rule, comment on editorials, felt the need to denounce the piece, calling it “repugnant.” One hundred and fifty of the Post-Gazette’s newsroom employees signed the letter.
The paper did not publish the Guild’s letter, or another signed by 23 Post-Gazette staff members (CJR, 1/22/18)–omissions that seem to foreshadow the paper’s new editorial director’s distaste for dissenting opinion.
The Blade, however, ran Burris’ response to the backlash against his piece in a column headlined “The Left’s War on Thought” (1/26/18).
Whena Philadelphia Inquirer reporter (6/4/18) reached out to Rogers for comment, Rogers said he was unable to speak of the incident, but confirmed he was still employed by the paper. The piece also noted Burris did not respond.
This morning (6/6/18), in a series of three tweets, Rogers thanked his readers and colleagues for their support, but announced he would be taking some time off from the Post-Gazette while the issue is being resolved. “I love what I do,” he tweeted:

Now, more than ever, I believe in the power of satire and the public dialogue that it can create. Thank you for being part of that dialogue.

The paper ran the latest Rogers cartoon without an acknowledgement of the cartoonist’s absence over the past week. Rogers’ supporters denounced the censorship with comments on the paper’s website like:

Newsday cartoonist Matt Davies came out in support of Rogers on Twitter(6/5/18), saying good editors publish that which they disagree with. This would seem to echo the lessons Burris himself (Post-Gazette, 3/4/18) says he learned from John Craig, the editor who first hired him for paper, who said that a good journalist “has no side or tribe,” and that an opinion writer “must have roots but no permanent alliances.”
Local outlets like the Inquirer and CBS Pittsburgh (6/4/18), as well as CNN Money (6/4/18), have picked up on the story of Rogers’ censorship, but it has yet to appear on larger national sites like the New York Times or NPR.
