Eén van de verdedigers van het neoliberale establishment, ThinkProgress heeft vorige maand een artikel van Casey Michel gepubliceerd waarin Caitlin Johnstone werd uitgemaakt voor Iraanse trol… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Michel reageerde niet één keer op aan hem gerichte berichten van Johnstone, waarin ze uitlegt dat e.e.a. nonsens is.
In het artikel stelde Michel dat nep-accounts op Facebook niet alleen uit Ruslandkomen, maar ook uit Iran……. (valt me nog mee dat hij Noord-Korea niet in één moeite mee heeft genomen) Voorts loofde Michel de pogingen van Facebook Iraanse propaganda te weren van haar ‘platform’*, maar heeft eerder Facebook en Twitter meermaals gewaarschuwd actie te ondernemen tegen dergelijke (Russische) beïnvloeding via accounts op hun sites.
Nu is ThinkProgress dus zelf aan de beurt en wordt van Facebook geweerd, dit voor een artikel over Brett Kavanaugh, de ultrarechtse schoft en favoriete kandidaat van Trump voor het hooggerechtshof. De Weekly Standard doet het feiten controleren (fact checking) voor Facebook en vond het bewuste artikel met ‘fake news’ over Kavanaugh.
Volgens Johnstone zal het weren van ThinkProgress op Facebook niet van lange duur zijn. Jonhstone heeft verder geen leedvermaak over deze zaak en ze stelt dan ook terecht dat Facebook zich niet heeft te bemoeien met wat er wordt gezegd op dat platform, al is ze uiteraard tegen het oproepen tot geweld.
Lees het artikel van Johnstone waarin zij o.a. de vloer aanveegt met The Atlantic Council, de ‘psyops‘ fabriek van de NAVO, die samen met de Weekly Standard de censuur regelt op Facebook…… Volkomen terecht pleit Johnstone voor een volledig vrij internet, waar de plutocraten van Silicon Valley, de NAVO en andere (censuur) organen of lijpe psychopaten als Kristol geen zeggenschap hebben over wat er wel of niet geschreven of getoond mag worden (uiteraard met uitzondering van [kinder] porno en oproepen tot het plegen van geweld**):

In an article last month titled “Facebook announces that fake accounts are now coming not just from Russia”, fauxgressive establishment apologia firm ThinkProgressfalsely reported that I have been writing for an outlet that is alleged to be part of an Iranian propaganda campaign. I repeatedlybrought this false claim to the attention of Casey Michel, the article’s author, telling him that ten seconds of research or any attempt to contact me would have shown him that the articles published by the outlet in question were just reblogs of earlier publications from my platform, but Michel ignored the many notifications he received from myself and my Twitter followers and went on merrily interacting with other posters. As of this writing, the article remains uncorrected.
In the article, Michel documented Facebook’s heroic efforts to shut down alleged Iranian propaganda outlets, ominously warning his readers that “Russia is by no means the only foreign adversary exploiting social media’s inherent openness.” In other articles for ThinkProgress, Michel is repeatedlyseen wagging his finger at Facebook and Twitter for not doing more to censor “Russian propaganda”, and in a July article titled “Facebook says both sides share fake news, defends Infowars’ presence on its platform — Mark Zuckerberg has an interesting way of prioritizing ‘high quality news’” another ThinkProgress author criticized Facebook for not censoring Alex Jones. Jones was censored by Facebook the following month.
ThinkProgressreports that its traffic from Facebook has been slashed by eighty percent due to a “fact check” by the Weekly Standard which, through a series of moronic mental contortions, found ThinkProgress guilty of reporting fake news about Brett Kavanaugh of all things. In a twist of irony which would be delicious if it weren’t so disgusting, the Weekly Standard is one of Facebook’s authorized “fact checkers”, and happens to be the brainchild of none other than bloodthirsty psychopath and rehabilitated #Resistance hero Bill Kristol.
ThinkProgress is part of a very large and diverse branch of progressive punditry whose ultimate job is to help centrist empire loyalists feel like leftist revolutionaries, and since 2016 one of the many appalling consequences of this bizarre environment has been the embracing of Iraq-raping neoconservatives like Kristol and Max Boot by Democratic Party loyalists. In a bid to stay relevant despite having been consistently wrong about literally everything in foreign policy for the last two decades, these murderous ghouls have repackaged themselves as a woke, cuddly alternative to the Trumpian faction of the Republican Party, and have been rewarded for their efforts with regular platforms on MSNBC and the Washington Post (WaPo).
So with ThinkProgress getting censored by Facebook, you really couldn’t ask for a more clear-cut case of reaping what you sow. Nevertheless, it is wrong for anyone to be deprived of political speech, even if much of their political speech consists of attempts to silence the political speech of others. And if there is anything more gross than political speech being regulated by Silicon Valley plutocrats and a NATO psyop factory, it’s political speech being regulated by Silicon Valley plutocrats, a NATO psyop factory, and Bill Kristol. ThinkProgress should not have its audience restricted.
All the “let me help you cheer for the establishment while pretending to oppose it” pundits who celebrated Alex Jones’ coordinated de-platforming last month are falling all over themselves to spin this new development in a way that allows them to feel as though they aren’t being proven wrong day after day after day, but of course they are. Facilitating the censorship of anyone’s speech is facilitating the censorship of your own speech in the long run, and we’re not even having to wait long to see it this time around. In a corporatist system of government, corporate censorship is state censorship; the massive new media corporations being implored to regulate which political speech gets an audience and which doesn’t have extensive ties to secretive government agencies and a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.
I do not expect ThinkProgress to remain on Facebook’s restricted list for long; the real targets of internet censorship are not partisan outlets which prop up establishment politics and help legitimize America’s two-headed one party system. But that isn’t the point. The point is that Silicon Valley plutocrats, the NATO propaganda firm Atlantic Council, and the Weekly Standard should not be determining who gets an audience in the new media environment and who doesn’t. Nothing that has anything to do with Bill Kristol should ever have any power over anyone. If our choices are between letting people think for themselves and letting the guy who’s always wrong about everything determine what shows up in people’s news feed, the choice is obviously the one which doesn’t involve placing faith in the man who helped deceive America into butchering a million Iraqis***.

Tyler Durden publiceerde vorige week zaterdag een artikel op Zero Hedge over ‘Russia-gate’, althans hoe men de operatie van de FBI inkleedde om een oud medewerker van die dienst, gevangen gehouden in Iran, vrij te krijgen……
Daarvoor heeft de FBI de Russische oligarch Oleg Deripaska, een figuur die in nauw contact staat met Putin, in de arm genomen en hem gevraagd 25 miljoen dollar beschikbaar te stellen om de oud-FBI agent Robert Levinson vrij te krijgen. Levinson werkte voor de CIA toen hij in 2007 werd gearresteerd in Iran…..
Deripaska, waarvan wordt gezegd dat hij fungeerde als contact tussen Trump en Putin via de voormalige Rusland ‘connector’ Paul Manafort, stelt dat hij van 2009 tot de presidentsverkiezingen van 2016 samenwerkte met de VS regering….
Uiteindelijk ging de operatie niet door daar buitenlandse zaken o.l.v. Hillary Clinton zich haastig terugtrok uit de deal met Iran die erop gericht was Levinson vrij te krijgen…..

Russian Oligarch And Putin Pal Admits To Collusion, Secret Meetings
Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, has gone on record with The Hill‘s John Solomon – admitting to colluding with Americans leading up to the 2016 US election, except it might not be what you’re thinking.
Deripaska, rumored to be Donald Trump’s “back channel” to Putin via the Russian’s former association with Paul Manafort, says he “colluded” with the US Governmentbetween 2009 and 2016.
In 2009, when Robert Mueller was running the FBI, the agency asked Deripaska to spend $25 million of his own money to bankroll an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent – Robert Levinson, who was kidnapped in 2007 while working on a 2007 CIA contract in Iran. This in and of itself is more than a bit strange.
Deripaska agreed, however the Obama State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton, scuttled a last-minute deal with Iran before Levinson could be released. He hasn’t been heard from since.
FBI agents courted Deripaska in 2009 in a series of secret hotel meetings in Paris; Vienna; Budapest, Hungary, and Washington. Agents persuaded the aluminum industry magnate to underwrite the mission. The Russian billionaire insisted the operation neither involve nor harm his homeland. -The Hill
In other words – Trump’s alleged “back channel” to Putin was in fact an FBI asset who spent $25 million helping Obama’s “scandal free” administration find a kidnapped agent. Deripaska’s admitted
Steele, Ohr and the 2016 US Election
As the New York Times frames it, distancing Deripaska from the FBI (no mention of the $25 million rescue effort, for example), the Russian aluminum magnate was just one of several Putin-linked Oligarchs the FBI tried to flip.
The attempt to flip Mr. Deripaska was part of a broader, clandestine American effort to gauge the possibility of gaining cooperation from roughly a half-dozen of Russia’s richest men, nearly all of whom, like Mr. Deripaska, depend on President Vladimir V. Putin to maintain their wealth, the officials said. –NYT
Central to the recruiting effort were two central players in the Trump-Russia investigation; twice-demoted DOJ #4 officialBruce Ohr and Christopher Steele – the author of the largely unverified “Steele Dossier.”
Steele, a longtime associate of Ohr’s, worked for Deripaska beginning in 2012 researching a business rival – work which would evolve to the point where the former British spy was interfacing with the Obama administration on his behalf – resulting in Deripaska regaining entry into the United States, where he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017.
The State Department tried to keep him from getting a U.S. visa between 2006 and 2009 because they believed he had unspecified connections to criminal elements in Russia as he consolidated power in the aluminum industry. Deripaska has denied those allegations…
Whatever the case, it is irrefutable that after he began helping the FBI, Deripaska regained entry to the United States. And he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017, visa entry records show. –The Hill
Deripaska is now banned from the United States as one of several Russians sanctioned in April in response to alleged 2016 election meddling.
In a September 2016 meeting, Deripaska told FBI agents that it was “preposterous” that Paul Manafort was colluding with Russia to help Trump win the 2016 election. This, despite the fact that Deripaska and Manafort’s business relationship “ended in lawsuits”, per The Hill – and the Russian would have every reason to throw Manafort under the bus if he wanted some revenge on his old associate.
So the FBI and DOJ secretly collaborated with Trump’s alleged backchannel over a seven-year period, starting with Levinson, then on Deripaska’s Visa, and finally regarding whether Paul Manafort was an intermediary to Putin. Deripaska vehemently denies the assertion, and even took out newspaper advertisements in the US last year volunteering to testify to Congress, refuting an AP report that he and Manafort secretly worked on a plan to “greatly benefit the Putin government” a decade ago.
Soon after the advertisements ran, representatives for the House and Senate Intelligence Committees called a Washington-based lawyer for Mr. Deripaska, Adam Waldman, inquiring about taking his client up on the offer to testify, Mr. Waldman said in an interview.
What happened after that has been in dispute. Mr. Waldman, who stopped working for Mr. Deripaska after the sanctions were levied, said he told the committee staff that his client would be willing to testify without any grant of immunity, but would not testify about any Russian collusion with the Trump campaign because “he doesn’t know anything about that theory and actually doesn’t believe it occurred.” –NYT
In short, Deripaska wants it known that he worked with the FBI and DOJ, and that he had nothing to do with the Steele dossier.
Today, Deripaska is banned anew from the United States, one of several Russians sanctioned in April by the Trump administration as a way to punish Putin for 2016 election meddling. But he wants to be clear about a few things, according to a statement provided by his team. First, he did collude with Americans in the form of voluntarily assisting and meeting with the FBI, the DOJ and people such as Ohr between 2009 and 2016.
He also wants Americans to know he did not cooperate or assist with Steele’s dossier, and he tried to dispel the FBI notion that Russia and the Trump campaign colluded during the 2016 election. –The Hill
Interestingly, Steele’s dossier which was partially funded by the Clinton campaign, relied on senior Kremlin officials.
It would be most helpful if the Department of Justice could please investigate and then prosecute themselves and/or members of the previous administration, so that journalists like John Solomon, Sara Carter, Luke Rosiak, Chuck Ross and others don’t have to continue to break stories that are seemingly ignored by all but a handful of Congressional investigators.

Ook in Irak heeft de VS meermaals gebieden gebombardeerd waar letterlijk geen hond aanwezig was (woestijngebied)……. Er zijn zelfs een flink aantal getuigen die hebben gezien dat de VS terreurgroep IS bevoorraadde in Irak…. Voorts heeft de VS meerdere keren IS troepen een vrijgeleide gegeven vanuit Irak en hen begeleid naar Syrisch grondgebied, zodat ze daar het zo door de VS gehate Syrische bewind* konden bestrijden (en ach de mensen die door IS werden gemarteld, verkracht en vermoord, niets meer of minder dan bijkomende schade ‘voor het goede doel, moet je maar denken….’)….
Toen Rusland begin oktober 2015 Syrië te hulp schoot, werden IS en andere terreurgroepen als Al Qaida Syrië (o.a. al-Nusra), naast de succesvolle strijd tegen deze groepen door de Koerden in Syrië, voor het eerst goed bestreden en bereikten de Russen in een paar maanden tijd meer dan de VS in meer dan een jaar tijd had ‘gepresteerd….’**
Het is meer dan duidelijk dat de VS troepen wil behouden in Syrië, niet alleen om Syrië op te kunnen delen en zo de macht van het wettige Syrische bewind te breken, maar ook voor een eventuele aanval op Iran……… (Syrië grenst ook aan Iran)
De plekken waar IS zich nog ophoudt liggen in door de VS beheerst gebied en niet zelden grijpt de VS in als het reguliere Syrische leger IS aanvalt…… De VS heeft zelfs dorpen gebombardeerd die trouw waren aan de door hen gekozen Syrische regering en weigerden doorgang te verlenen aan de door de VS gesteunde terroristen (‘rebellen’) groepen van o.a. de Qasad militie, bestaande uit strijders die voorheen voor IS terreur uitoefenden op de Syrische bevolking……..

ISIS Given ‘Breathing Space’ in US-Occupied Areas of Syria: UN Report
By maintaining an ISIS pocket in the territory it occupies, the U.S. can continue to justify its illegal presence in the country for the long-term, ultimately substituting Iran for ISIS as its new regional boogeyman.
(MPN Op-ed) — A recent report from the UN Security Council’s Sanctions Monitoring Team has found that many of the places in Syria where the terror group Daesh (ISIS) continues to operate, recuperate and extract oil for profit are in areas of the country occupied by the United States.
According to the report’s executive summary:
“Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), having been defeated militarily in Iraq and most of the Syrian Arab Republic during 2017, rallied in early 2018 [owing to] a loss of momentum by forces fighting it in the east of the Syrian Arab Republic, which prolonged access by ISIL to resources and gave it breathing space to prepare for the next phase of its evolution into a global covert network.”
While the text itself doesn’t explicitly state who controls these areas of Syrian territory, maps of eastern Syria make it clear that the pockets of Daesh within U.S.-controlled territory have remained unchanged in size since November 2017 while the Daesh pockets in the Syrian government-controlled portion of eastern Syria have shrunk considerably since last November.

Furthermore, the UN report states that the areas where Daesh has rallied since the year began are located in “pockets of territory in the Syrian Arab Republic on the Iraqi border” where the group has mounted “attacks, including across the border into Iraq.” Again, area maps clearly show that the Daesh-controlled areas in only the U.S.-occupied portion of eastern Syria are along the Syria-Iraq border.
Notably, in the sliver of Daesh-controlled land between U.S. and Syrian government-controlled areas in the border city of Abu Kamal, when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has tried to attack Daesh positions in the area this year, they have been targeted by U.S. coalition airstrikes. U.S. coalition airstrikes have also attacked Syrian civilian villages in the government-controlled portion of Abu Kamal. Survivors of that attack claimed that their villages had been targeted for refusing the entry of the U.S.-backed opposition militias — such as the Qasad militia, which is largely composed of former Daesh fighters.
U.S. coalition airstrikes targeting the SAA in Abu Kamal and elsewhere in eastern Syria have also been the key cause of the “loss of momentum” of forces fighting Daesh that was cited in the UN report, as Syrian forces have declined to advance deep into U.S.-held territory in order to pursue Daesh after being bombednumerous times. In addition, the U.S.’ own bombing campaign against Daesh can hardly be called effective given that the U.S., along with their military proxy the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), frequently announceon social media when and where they will be bombing Daesh in eastern Syria days in advance.

Beyond eastern Syria, the report also notes that another Daesh-infested area of concern is also located farther south in the area around the al-Tanf military base, which has been occupied by the United States since 2016. The UN report raises concerns about the Rukban refugee camp, which lies within the so-called “deconfliction” zone that the U.S. has imposed on a 55-kilometer radius around al-Tanf.
The report states:
“The densely populated Rukban camp in southern Syrian Arab Republic contains some 80,000 internally displaced persons, including families of ISIL fighters, a situation which Member States fear might generate new ISIL cells.”
As with other Daesh-held areas under U.S. “protection,” the U.S. has attacked the SAA for attempting to enter the U.S.’ unilaterally-imposed “deconfliction” zone in an effort to attack Daesh militants.
Washington’s Daesh-Dependent Long-Game
The evidence that the U.S. presence in Syria is actually helping to strengthen Daesh flies in the face of the Pentagon’s justification for the U.S.’ occupation of northeastern Syria as being necessary because the Syrian government is not strong enough to defeat Daesh on its own.
However, as the recent UN report reveals, the Pentagon’s portrayal does not appear to be the reality of the situation.
As MintPresshas noted in the past, this finding is hardly surprising given that the Defense Intelligence Agency report from 2012 revealed that the U.S. willingly allowed Daesh to be formed in order to destabilize the Syrian government and partition Syria through foreign military intervention. Since then, the U.S. has adapted its justifications for its presence in Syria, particularly after the failure of Daesh and foreign-funded opposition groups to depose the current government of Syria.
By maintaining a Daesh pocket in the territory it occupies, the U.S. can continue to justify its illegal presence in the country for the long-term. Indeed, just last month, the Trump administration made it clear that the U.S. military plans to stay in Syria for the long haul, substituting Iran for Daesh as its new regional boogeyman.
* De VS is o.a. pissig over de weigering van Syrië om gas- en oliepijpleidingen op haar grondgebied toe te staan, pijpleidingen o.a. vanuit de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) richting Turkije en EU.
Uit nieuw onderzoek van Associated Press (AP) blijkt dat Al Qaida in veel gevallen samenwerkt met de Saoedische terreurcoalitie in hun strijd tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, een strijd die is uitgelopen op een zich voltrekkende genocide……
De VS werkt op grote schaal samen met de Saoedische coalitie, coördineert de bombardementen, voorziet de straaljagers en bommenwerpers in de lucht van brandstof en werkt al langere tijd met militairen af en aan op Jemenitische bodem, ook helpt de VS mee aan de zeeblokkade van Houthi gebieden zodat humanitaire goederen amper de geplaagde bevolking bereiken……. Anders gezegd: de VS is een volwaardig deelnemer aan de genocide die wordt uitgevoerd op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen…..* Uit dat laatste kan je concluderen dat de VS ook in Jemen Al Qaida steunt (eerder was dit al het geval in Syrië, waar deze afdeling van Al Qaida zelfs van de zwarte terreurlijst werd gehaald, de terreurlijst die de VS hanteert….)….
De VS zou ‘juist’ de terreur bestrijden zo luidde de leugen tot nu toe (dat dit een leugen was, kon je al tussen de regels door lezen in rapportages over de acties van de VS in Jemen, waar niet Al Qaida of IS werden bestookt, maar de Houthi’s die de sjiitische bevolking zoveel mogelijk probeert te beschermen en waar deze rebellen eerder al met succes IS en Al Qaida bestreden in Jemen. Het voorgaande was zelfs de reden voor Saoedi-Arabië om de opgestapte president Al-Hadi onder druk te zetten, zijn presidentschap weer op te nemen, zodat hij S-A om militaire steun kon vragen……..
Mensen het lijkt er goddomme wel op of men steeds minder moeite doet om smerige zaken als deze te verbergen, immers ook zonder het rapport van AP was het al duidelijk dat de VS vooral met Jemen bezig is vanwege het grote aantal sjiieten in dat land en wegens de strategische ligging van Jemen…..
Andrea Germanos, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, trapt zelf in het cliché als zij stelt dat de sjiieten in Jemen zijn gelieerd aan Iran… De enige link met Iran is het geloof, de sjiitische vorm van islam. Voorts heeft Iran als één van de weinigen humanitaire goederen naar de bevolking van Jemen gestuurd: wie kan daar tegen zijn? Bombshell AP Report: The US Is Now Allied With al-Qaeda in Yemen
New AP investigation reveals the Saudi coalition “cut deals” with al-Qaeda in Yemen.
(CD) — As the United States continues to fuel Yemen’s worsening humanitarian crisis, and boast that it’s targeting al Qaeda in the impoverished nation (AQAP) with airstrikes, new reporting reveals that the U.S.- and U.K-backed Saudi coalition waging a bombing campaign there is recruiting al Qaeda fighters to join its ranks, and paying off the extremists to leave areas.
Soon after the Saudi-led coalition, with the United Arab Emirates being a key partner, began its bombing campaign in Yemen against the Houthi rebels in 2015, it was reported that al Qaeda militants were fighting on the same side as the Saudi militia to defeat the Iran-linked Houthis.
The new Associated Press investigation, however, reveals that the coalition has made “secret deals with al-Qaeda fighters, paying some to leave key cities and towns and letting others retreat with weapons, equipment, and wads of looted cash.”
Beyond that, the “coalition-backed militias actively recruit al-Qaeda militants,” APfound, based on on-the-ground reporting including interviews with members of al Qaeda, tribal mediators, Yemeni security officers, and militia commanders.
The earliest such deal took place in the spring of 2016 when “thousands of al-Qaeda fighters … pull out[ed] of Mukalla,” a port city. From AP:
“The militants were guaranteed a safe route out and allowed to keep weapons and cash looted from the city—up to $100 million by some estimates—according to five sources, including military, security, and government officials. […]
“Coalition-backed forces moved in two days later, announcing that hundreds of militants were killed and hailing the capture as ‘part of joint international efforts to defeat the terrorist organizations in Yemen.’”
A similar deal took place soon after in the province of Abyan. Again, the fighters would not be targeted with drone strokes as part of the deal, which also included a provision for hundreds of al Qaeda fighters the join the ranks of the UAE-backed Yemeni force there.
“There is no evidence that American money went to AQAP militants,” AP reported, yet the U.S. does provide the coalition with key military assistance including air refueling and intelligence.
Responding to new investigation on Twitter, Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), said, “This is what the U.S. gets when its foreign policy is not based on its national interest, but driven by transactional deals with Arab allies who in turn have no problem allying with Al-Qaeda. Through Saudi & UAE, the U.S. is now allied with al-Qaeda in Yemen.”
Michael Horton, a fellow at the Jamestown Foundation, told AP, “It is now almost impossible to untangle who is AQAP and who is not since so many deals and alliances have been made,” and dubbed the coalition’s war on al Qaeda largely a “farce.”
The latest reporting sheds new light on the failed war on terror, as fighters in what’s called al Qaeda’s most dangerous branch are leaving areas unscathed and with greater money resources. It also follows Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) warning last year that, in the eyes of Yemenis, the coalition’s anti-Houthi bombing campaign “is seen as a U.S.-Saudi bombing campaign. And so the long-term effect of this is that we are radicalizing potentially millions of Yemenis against the United States.”
The plight of Yemenis suffering the catastrophic fallout of the proxy war, meanwhile, remains largely ignored by corporate media and most mainstream outlets.

America Bombs, Europe Gets the Refugees. That’s Evil
The US Government (with France and a few other US allies) bombs Libya, Syria, etc.; and the US regime refuses to accept any of the resulting refugees — the burdens from which are now breaking the EU, and the EU is sinking in economic competition against America’s international corporations. America’s corporations remain blithely unscathed by not only the refugees that are breaking up the EU, but also by the EU’s economic sanctions against Russia, Iran, and other allies of governments that the US regime is trying to overthrow in its constant invasions and coups. The US Government makes proclamations such as “Assad must go!” — but by what right is the US Government involved, at all, in determining whom the leaders in Syria will be? Syria never invaded the US In fact, Syria never invaded anywhere (except, maybe, Israel, in order to respond against Israel’s invasions). Furthermore, all polling, even by Western pollsters, shows that Bashar al-Assad would easily win any free and fair election in Syria. The US Government claims to support democracy, but it does the exact opposite whenever they want to get rid of a Government that is determined to protect that nation’s sovereignty over its own national territory, instead of to yield it to the US regime, or to any other foreigners. The US regime has virtually destroyed the United Nations.
The US regime, and its allies, have used the Muslim Brotherhood, in order to recruit into Syria the 100,000+ jihadists from around the world to fight to overthrow Syria’s secular Government. Even the BBC’s 13 December 2013 detailed report, “Guide to the Syrian rebels”, made clear that the “Syrian Rebels” were, in fact, overwhelmingly jihadist and largely recruited from abroad. These were hardly democrats. Even a Tony-Blair-founded anti-Assad NGO’s study concluded that “Sixty per cent of major Syrian rebel groups are Islamist extremists” (not just “Islamists” but “Islamist extremists”) and yet the Blair outfit still supported the overthrow of the committed secularist Assad (just as Blair had earlier participated himself in the US regime’s destruction of Iraq).
America is no actual ally of Europe. The Marshall Plan is long-since finished, and America has been taken over by psychopaths who are Europe’s main enemies, not Europe’s friends, at all. (They’re friends of some European aristocracies, but not of any European public, not of even merely one public.)
Iran and Russia should be Europe’s allies — they didn’t cause any of Europe’s problems. America did. America’s intelligence agencies tapped (and probably still tap) the phones of Germany’s Chancellor and practically everybody else, and yet the US regime has the gall to blame Russia for interfering in the political affairs of European countries. If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle ‘black’, then what is? If anything, the EU’s sanctions should be against doing business with American firms — not against doing business with Russian firms, or with Iranian firms. European politicians who support the US support Europe’s top enemy.
Russia is, itself, a European country, which additionally traverses much of Asia, but America is no European country, at all, and yet now is so brazen as to demand that Europe must do America’s bidding — not only against Russia, but also against the Sauds’ main target, which is Iran (the same main target as Israel’s).
Why are Europeans not asking themselves: Who is Europe’s enemy in all of this — what causes this refugee-crisis? The refugees certainly didn’t.
It’s not Russia, and it’s not Iran, and it’s not China; it is America — which is the true enemy of them all, and of us all — including even of the American people ourselves, because the US Government no longer actually represents the American people. These invasions, and military occupations, and coups, do not serve America’s public; they serve America’s aristocracy. The US is no longer (if it ever was) a democracy. The US Government now is the US aristocracy — not the US public. It’s a dictatorship. And, it has the type of ‘news’media that any dictatorship has.
On June 30th, the US aristocracy’s New York Times headlined “Bavaria: Affluent, Picturesque — and Angry”, and reported “the new angry center of Europe, the latest battleground for populists eager to bring down both Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and the idea of a liberal Europe itself.” Their elitist (pro-US-aristocracy) ‘reporter’ (actually propagandist) interviewed ‘experts’ who condemn Europe’s politicians that are trying to assuage their own public’s anger against the EU’s open-door policy regarding this flood of refugees from what is actually, for the most part, the US regime’s (and its allies’) bombings — air-support of the boots-on-the-ground jihadist mercenaries. The combination of this air-support, and of the jihadists, has been the backbone of the US-Saudi-Israeli effort to overthrow and replace Syria’s Government.
Libya was a similar case, but was only friendly toward Russia, not allied with Russia, as both Syria and Iran are.
So: the Times was secretly (and they didn’t include any links to help online readers know who was actually funding their ‘experts’, at all) pumping NATO propaganda, as if it were authentic and neutral news-reporting, instead of craven service to the US aristocracy that controls the US Government and its NATO military alliance. This is the New York Times, itself, that is “rewriting recent history.” That’s how they do it — constantly (as ‘news’).

Though the Sauds, and also Israel’s aristocracy, are mainly anti-Iran, the US aristocracy are obsessed with their goal of conquering Russia. Since Iran, and Syria, are both allied with Russia, the US regime is trying to overthrow those Russia-allied Governments, before going in for the kill, against Russia itself. That’s what all of these economic sanctions, and the bombings and the backing of Al Qaeda for overthrowing Syria’s Government, are really all about.
Is this what today’s Europeans want their Governments to be doing — and doing it for that reason, the US aristocracy’s reason? Despite the huge harms it is certainly causing to Europeans?
As the world’s greatest blogger, the former UK Ambassador (but too honest to stay in that business) Craig Murray, recently said under the headline, “No Trump, No Clinton, No NATO”: “The destruction of Libya’s government and infrastructure directly caused the Mediterranean boat migrant crisis, which has poisoned the politics of much of the European Union.” But, of course, the US regime and its allies have also destroyed other countries than that — and thus caused refugees to Europe from many nations. And, finally, even the US Government (though as quietly as possible) acknowledges that it has destroyed Afghanistan. Ironically, that’s the very nation where America and the Sauds, in 1979, had started their war against all Governments that won’t buckle to them.
Furthermore, the US regime intends to keep it up. In case a reader might happen to think that, surely, the US regime and its allies are going to quit this rousing of hornets’ nests; Sharmine Narwani, who is one of the very few non-“embedded” journalists who reports in The West about — and (which the mainstream ones don’t) from — the war in Syria, headlined, on June 25th, “Are al-Qaeda Affiliates Fighting Alongside US Rebels in Syria’s South?” and she found that the answer to this question is a resounding yes:
Despite its US and UN designation as a terrorist organization, Nusra [Al Qaeda’s main name in Syria] has been openly fighting alongside the “Southern Front,” a group of 54 opposition militias funded and commanded by a US-led war room based in Amman, Jordan called the Military Operations Center (MOC). …
Sources inside Syria — both opposition fighters and Syrian military brass (past and present) — suggest the command center consists of the US, UK, France, Jordan, Israel, and some Persian Gulf states. … In practice, the US doesn’t appear to mind the Nusra affiliation — regardless of the fact that the group is a terror organization — as long as the job gets done.
These wars, which pour Middle Eastern (and also Ukrainian*) refugees into the EU, are inter-aristocratic conflicts reflecting inter-aristocratic competitions; and the publics everywhere suffer enormously from them. The gainers from it are very few but very rich (and they hire very powerful agents in Europe and elsewhere). Those billionaire gainers, and their agents, should be Europe’s targets — not Russia and Iran. NATO must end now. Europe needs to be freed, at last, from America’s permanent-war-for permanent-‘peace’ grip. For Europeans, who are the indirect victims, to be blaming the refugees, who are the direct victims, won’t solve anything, but will simply please the victimizers, as is the public’s ancient habit (to please the powerful). A break must be made, away from that ugly past. European publics must lead the way, or no one will.

In het memorandum is verder te lezen dat bondgenoten anders en beter moeten worden behandeld dan tegenstanders, daar je anders meer tegenstanders dan bondgenoten overhoudt……. Uit het voorgaande kan je ten overvloede nog eens destilleren dat men in de VS knettergek is en werkelijk denkt een wereldrijk te zijn, waar het naar goeddunken kan moorden en verder alles mag doen wat god verboden heeft (en dat voor een zwaar ‘christelijke’ natie…), zolang het maar in het belang is van dat rijk….

I’ve been noticing videos going viral the last few days, some with millions of views, about Muslim women bravely fighting to free themselves from oppression in the Middle East. The videos, curiously, are being shared enthusiastically by many Republicans and pro-Israel hawks, who aren’t traditionally the sort of crowd you see rallying to support the civil rights of Muslims. What’s up with that?
Well, you may want to sit down for this shocker, but it turns out that they happen to be women from a nation that the US war machine is currently escalating operations against. They are Iranian.
Whenever you see the sudden emergence of an attractive media campaign that is sympathetic to the plight of civilians in a resource-rich nation unaligned with the western empire, you are seeing propaganda. When that nation is surrounded by other nations with similar human rights transgressions and yet those transgressions are ignored by that same media campaign, you are most certainly seeing propaganda. When that nation just so happens to already be the target of starvation sanctions and escalated covert CIA ops, you can bet the farm that you are seeing propaganda.
Back in December a memo was leaked from inside the Trump administration showing how then-Secretary of State, DC neophyte Rex Tillerson, was coached on how the US empire uses human rights as a pretense on which to attack and undermine noncompliant governments. Politico reports: The May 17 memo reads like a crash course for a businessman-turned-diplomat, and its conclusion offers a starkly realist vision: that the U.S. should use human rights as a club against its adversaries, like Iran, China and North Korea, while giving a pass to repressive allies like the Philippines, Egypt and Saudi Arabia”.
“Allies should be treated differently — and better — than adversaries. Otherwise, we end up with more adversaries, and fewer allies,” argued the memo, written by Tillerson’s influential policy aide, Brian Hook.
The propaganda machine doesn’t operate any differently from the State Department, since they serve the same establishment. US ally Saudi Arabia is celebrated by the mass media for “liberal reform” in allowing women to drive despite hard evidence that those “reforms” are barely surface-level cosmetics to present a pretty face to the western world, but Iranian women, who have been able to drive for years, are painted as uniquely oppressed. Iran is condemned by establishment war whores for the flaws in its democratic process, while Saudi Arabia, an actual monarchy, goes completely unscrutinized.
This is because the US-centralized power establishment, which has never at any point in its history cared about human rights, plans on effecting regime change in Iran by any means necessary. Should those means necessitate a potentially controversial degree of direct military engagement, the empire needs to make sure it retains control of the narrative.
Women in Iran are recording the abuse they suffer at the hands of men for not wearing religious clothing. May the good people of Iran free themselves from the shackles of the tyrannical mullah theocracy.
This is what war propaganda looks like in the era of social media. It will never look ugly. It will never directly show you its real intentions. If it did, it wouldn’t work. It can’t just come right out and say “Hey we need to do horrible, evil things to the people in this country on the other side of the world in your name using your resources, please play along without making a fuss.” It will necessarily look fresh and fun and rebellious. It will look appealing. It will look sexy.

Be less trusting of these monsters, please. The people of Afghanistan haven’t benefitted from the interminable military quagmire that has cost tens of thousands of their lives. The invaders of Iraq were never “greeted as liberators” by an oppressed population. The humanitarian intervention in Libya left a humanitarian catastrophe in its wake far more horrific than anything it claimed to be trying to prevent. Saving the children of Syria with western interventionism has left half a million Syrians dead.
If the Iranians do in fact wish to change their government, it should happen without crippling sanctions, collaboration with extremist terror cults, or the rapey tentacles of the CIA manipulating the situation. There has never been a US-led regime change in the Middle East that wasn’t disastrous. People should be screaming at the US and its allies to cease these interventions, not applauding propaganda that is clearly being manufactured by that same empire.

Be less trusting of these monsters, please. The people of Afghanistan haven’t benefitted from the interminable military quagmire that has cost tens of thousands of their lives. The invaders of Iraq were never “greeted as liberators” by an oppressed population. The humanitarian intervention in Libya left a humanitarian catastrophe in its wake far more horrific than anything it claimed to be trying to prevent. Saving the children of Syria with western interventionism has left half a million Syrians dead.
If the Iranians do in fact wish to change their government, it should happen without crippling sanctions, collaboration with extremist terror cults, or the rapey tentacles of the CIA manipulating the situation. There has never been a US-led regime change in the Middle East that wasn’t disastrous. People should be screaming at the US and its allies to cease these interventions, not applauding propaganda that is clearly being manufactured by that same empire.

Ploert Pompeo durft de schuld voor de ellende van de bevolking in Jemen in de schoenen van Iran te schuiven, terwijl de enige bemoeienis van Iran met de dood voor ogen hebbende sjiitische bevolking in Jemen, het sturen van humanitaire hulpgoederen is……. Voor al de door de VS en Saoedi-Arabië gemaakte beschuldigingen aan het adres van Iran, dat het wapens, raketten en militaire training zou geven aan de Houthi rebellen, is tot op heden niet één bewijs geleverd, terwijl die beschuldigingen al een paar jaar lang worden gemaakt…….
De Saoedische coalitie die in feite een illegale oorlog voert tegen de Jemenitische sjiieten (onder regie en met hulp van de VS), heeft door haar bombardementen en blokkades gezorgd voor een gigantische cholera uitbraak waar, bovenop ook nog eens een grote difterie uitbraak plaatsvond en dat voor een bevolking die honger lijdt….. Ziekenhuizen, scholen, elektriciteitscentrales, waterzuiveringsinstallaties, en hele woonwijken werden door de Saoedische coalitie gebombardeerd, allen enorme oorlogsmisdaden!! Het laatste ziekenhuis dat door deze moorddadige coalitie werd gebombardeerd was een net afgebouwd ziekenhuis van Artsen zonder Grenzen, een ziekenhuis om de cholera uitbraak te bestrijden……
De VS tankt de straaljagers en bommenwerpers van deze Saoedische coalitie af in de lucht, zodat ze zo ‘efficiënt’ mogelijk hun moorddadig werk kunnen doen….. Voorts helpt de VS de Saoediërs mee met de blokkade op zee en vechten er met grote regelmaat VS speciale troepen op de grond in Jemen*, zogenaamd ingezet tegen IS, maar blijkbaar denkt de VS legerleiding dat de Houthi rebellen voor IS vechten, terwijl ze dondersgoed weten dat de Houthi’s juist erg succesvol waren in het bestrijden van IS en Al Qaida, die onderdak kregen in Jemen van de huidige ‘president’ Al-Hadi, voordat deze vrijwillig vertrok (S-A zette hem onder druk terug te keren zodat hij de Saoediërs te hulp kon roepen in de strijd tegen de Houthi rebellen en S-A met haar moorddadig werk tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen en haar beschermers de Houthi rebellen kon beginnen….) Voorts levert de VS, als Groot-Brittannië, wapens, munitie (waaronder een tijdlang clusterbommen en sinds kort ook ‘slimme munitie’), training en militaire hardware als straaljagers en ander moorddadig wapentuig, aan de reli-fascistische dictatuur in Saoedi-Arabië……. (dit nog naast het adviseren van het Saoedische militaire apparaat, ofwel het regisseren en coördineren van bombardementen en gevechtsacties op de grond, door dezelfde VS…..)
Pompeo zou vervolgd moeten worden voor zijn enorme leugens (en oorlogshitserij), die voor velen zelfs een doodvonnis betekenden……. (waar men meteen even kan kijken voor welke moorden en andere smerige praktijken Pompeo als verantwoordelijk is aan te wijzen tijdens zijn functie als directeur van de CIA……..) The administration has consistently focused on the small Iranian role in Yemen and exaggerated its importance while doing everything possible to cover for the Saudis and Emiratis at the same time that the U.S. has aided and abetted their bombing campaign and the many war crimes they have committed. Even now that the coalition is launching an offensive on the major port of Hodeidah that serves the vast majority of the population, the U.S. is not calling them out for their destabilizing and destructive activities. Instead of condemning the coalition for putting millions of Yemeni lives in jeopardy, the U.S. helps them to attack their impoverished neighbor. Instead of using its influence with these governments to rein in their abuses and alleviate the civilian population’s suffering, the U.S. gives them carte blanche, never criticizes them even when they massacre wedding-goers and refugees, and goes out of its way to fault one of the few governments in the region that isn’t attacking Yemen for the country’s miserable state. The humanitarian crisis in Yemen is the worst in the world, and the coalition blockade and bombing campaign are principal causes of that crisis. If the administration were even slightly concerned with addressing the suffering of Yemen’s people, it would not be providing weapons, intelligence, and refueling to the coalition, and it would be holding them accountable for their numerous and egregious war crimes and crimes against humanity. They aren’t concerned, and so they continue to support the war on Yemen no matter what the coalition does. Support for this war is indefensible, so it is no wonder that top U.S. officials have to try to distract the world from what our government is enabling in Yemen. It is the Saudi and Emirati governments along with ours and the coalition’s other Western patrons that need to be called out and held accountable for creating the disaster engulfing the people of Yemen. als de VS op een fiks aantal landen geheime militaire acties uitvoert, waarbij mensen ofwel worden vermoord, dan wel ontvoerd om daarna te worden gemarteld en voor onbepaalde tijd gevangen te worden gezet (wat in misdaadtermen wordt aangeduid als gijzeling door ontvoerders)….
als de VS overal waar het haar uitkomt: -verkiezingen manipuleert, -zich schuldig maakt aan computerinbraak, spionage (ook bij bevriende naties) en bedrijfsspionage, -opstanden op poten zet om zo coups uit te lokken, dan wel meteen een staatsgreep uitvoert…..
En zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan beste bezoeker, maar de zaak zal je wel duidelijk zijn: als er één land op de wereld is waar andere landen (en wij allen) bang voor moeten zijn, is het de VS wel, (nogmaals) de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde!! US Threatens to ‘Crush’ Iran, Vows ‘Strongest Sanctions in History’
(ANTIWAR.COM) — Setting up a new level of hostility toward Iran after the US withdrew from the P5+1 nuclear deal, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo promised “unprecedented financial pressure” Monday in comments to the Heritage Foundation. He said the US would impose the “strongest sanctions in history” against the Iranians.
“We will track down Iranian operatives and their Hezbollah proxies operating around the world and crush them,” Pompeo said.
The justification for this was a vague mention of Iran being a “malign influence,” and false allegations that they have “nuclear ambitions,” despite Iran still being a part of a nuclear deal which limits them to only a very small civilian nuclear program.
Pompeo said sanctions are in full effect and more are coming. He further issued a broad string of demands on the Iranians. This included withdrawing all forces from Syria, and totally ending support for both Hezbollah and Hamas.
Asking Iran to withdraw all “forces” from Syria is likely not possible for them to comply with, as US officials have generally presented Shi’ite militias who aren’t from Iran in the first place as “Iranian controlled” force. Iran could no more expel these Shi’ites from Syria than the US could remove all Kurdish forces from Syria.
Whether the demands are reasonable, or practical, is neither here nor there anyhow. That’s because Pompeo is not suggesting that compliance with all of these demands would mean an end to sanctions. Even if he did, the US just got done reneging on sanctions relief toward Iran with the nuclear deal.
The Trump Administration wanted out of the nuclear deal to start ratcheting up sanctions, which they see as an end unto themselves. Having done so, Pompeo is just bragging about how great those sanctions will be, not implying that there is any way to avoid them.

Volgens Shahtahmasebi werkt de (nucleaire) Iran-deal uitstekend, veel te goed in de ogen van de oorlogshitsers, die allesbehalve zitten te wachten op vrede waar dan ook, oorlogshitsers die uiteraard gelieerd zijn aan de wapenindustrie en daar onbeschaamd voor lobbyen middels het verspreiden van leugens en het zaaien van angst….. Helaas zijn deze lobbyisten (zeker in de VS) niet zelden de politici die aan de touwen trekken……
Met al zijn gebral tegen Iran heeft Trump nooit aangegeven wat er nu echt mis is met de Iran-deal, aldus Shahtahmasebi, anders dan te stellen dat de Iraniërs zich niet aan de deal houden, maar zoals gezegd daar is geen flinter bewijs voor gegeven. Sterker nog: volgens de VN wapeninspecteurs en andere deskundigen heeft Iran geen mogelijkheden meer om nog een kernwapen te ontwikkelen en nog sterker is het feit dat VS ambtenaren bij herhaling hebben gezegd dat Iran zich aan de deal houdt………
De Trump administratie stelt dat er een nieuwe deal moet worden gesloten met Iran, waar deze deal met zoveel voor Iran onmogelijke bepalingen zal worden ingekleed dat Iran deze niet zal tekenen…… Met de stok van de VS sancties achter de deur, zal ook de EU zich uiteindelijk achter Trump scharen, immers met de VS sancties in werking zal elk EU bedrijf dat zich niet aan de VS sancties houdt, geen zaken meer kunnen doen met instellingen/bedrijven die in eigendom zijn van VS burgers, aandeelhouders, dan wel van VS investeerders (zoals hedge funds).
Het laatste betekent dat bedrijven die zich niet aan de VS sancties houden, niet alleen geen zaken meer kunnen doen in de VS, maar ook gedwarsboomd zullen worden in handelen met bedrijven buiten de VS…… Bovendien moet de leiding van bedrijven die zich niet aan de VS sancties houden erop rekenen dat zij door de VS op de lijst van gezochte misdadigers worden geplaatst, waarmee zelfs hun bewegingsvrijheid zal worden beperkt, immers de VS heeft met een groot aantal landen een uitleveringsverdrag…..
Shahtahmasebi is in zijn schrijven vergeten Israël als één van de redenen te noemen waarom Trump de Iran-deal ‘afschoot’: als er één land is is dat Iran liever vandaag dan morgen aanvalt, is het Israël wel en zoals bekend de zionisten in de VS bepalen op diverse manieren hoe de VS handelt op gebied van buitenlandpolitiek…..
Al even aangestipt in het voorgaande: de VS is niet uit op vrede in de wereld, dat zou het militair-industrieel complex geen goed doen en daarmee zouden de grote beleggers kapitalen kunnen verliezen…..
Terecht merkt Shahtahmasebi op dat de Trump administratie vorig jaar Rusland en China (plus Iran en Noord-Korea) heeft aangewezen als de grootste vijanden van de VS, dus niet IS, Al Qaida of noem nog wat van deze terreurgroepen (in het westen vaak aangeduid als ‘gematigde rebellen’……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!)…. Met de nu nog woordelijke aanvallen op Iran, maakt de Trump-administratie (en Israël) Rusland duidelijk dat het Iran moet laten vallen en gezien het niet leveren aan Syrië van het nieuwste Russische raketafweersysteem, lijkt die opzet van Trump geslaagd……..
Eén ding heeft de Trump administratie ten overvloede nog eens bewezen: met de VS gemaakte afspraken kunnen op elk moment door de VS als van nul en generlei waarde worden vernietigd, ofwel de VS is totaal onbetrouwbaar….. Vandaar ook dat een land als Noord-Korea kernwapens wilde bouwen….. Benieuwd wat Kim Jong-un denkt over de schandalige VS manier van handelen t.a.v. de Iran-deal en wat dit betekent voor de besprekingen tussen Noord-Korea en de ontmoeting die hij zal hebben met Trump……..
The Real Reason Trump Abandoned the Iran Nuclear Deal
(ANTIMEDIAOp-ed)—Donald Trump doesn’t hate the Iran deal because it is a bad deal. He hates it because it is by all accounts a decent deal that has actually been working.
If you doubt this statement, ask yourself: What sensible argument has Trump ever offered to support his opposition to the deal? Sure, he has used his ever-expanding and descriptive vocabulary to call it some grandiose names, but he hasn’t actually explained what is wrong with it.
If the deal is so bad, why would he even want to bother pursuing a deal with North Korea? What deal could he possibly make that wouldn’t involve an arrangement similar to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)? (We will turn to this point in a moment).
“Trump doesn’t hate the Iran deal for policy reasons. He’s never offered a detailed public policy case against it, and experts don’t really believe he has one. ‘I don’t think anyone actually thinks he knows anything about the particularities of this agreement,’ says Sarah Kreps, a professor at Cornell University who studies arms control agreements.”
So what could he possibly hate about the Iran deal? If he does have sound reasons, why has he never presented them? What can he possibly hope to achieve with North Korea after proving to the entire world that the U.S. can renege on its word at any given time?
The blunt truth about the Iran deal is that Donald Trump rejects it because it has been working. His own administration has been forced to consistently certify Iran as compliant with the terms. The neocon dream for people like Trump and the warmongers who advise him is to prevent the U.S. from being the unilateral cause of the destruction of the deal (as it transpired, the U.S. was one hundred percent responsible for its demise). Rather, the strategy appears to be to devise a deal so impossible for Iran to accept that Iran will, in the eyes of the international community, become the dangerous and untrustworthy party in major need of a military intervention, as the U.S. has long painted the situation.
As outlined in the neoconservative guide to destroying Iran, titled, “Which Path to Persia? Options for a New American Strategy toward Iran”:
“For those who favor regime change or a military attack on Iran (either by the United States or Israel), there is a strong argument to be made for trying this option first. Inciting regime change in Iran would be greatly assisted by convincing the Iranian people that their government is so ideologically blinkered that it refuses to do what is best for the people and instead clings to a policy that could only bring ruin on the country. The ideal scenario in this case would be that the United States and the international community present a package of positive inducements so enticing that the Iranian citizenry would support the deal, only to have the regime reject it. In a similar vein, any military operation against Iran will likely be very unpopular around the world and require the proper international context – both to ensure the logistical support the operation would require and to minimize the blowback from it. The best way to minimize international opprobrium and maximize support (however grudging or covert) is to strike only when there is a widespread conviction that the Iranians were given but then rejected a superb offer – one so good that only a regime determined to acquire nuclear weapons and acquire them for the wrong reasons would turn it down.” [emphasis added]
You see, the Iranian nuclear deal in its current form doesn’t include a major source of tension between Iran and the U.S., namely, Iranian ballistic missile testing. Trump wants to include this as part of the agreement. Why would he want to do that? For exactly the reason above: to give Iran such an inconceivable agreement that even if Iran decided to sign it in good faith, the Islamic Republic could never realistically implement as it would lose one of its major deterrents against a U.S. or Israeli strike.
And this is where the upcoming summit between Trump and Kim Jong Un becomes that much more important. Trump is purportedly trying to send a strong message to North Korea that he wants a ‘real deal.’ So what is a ‘real deal’ in Trump’s eyes if the JCPOA didn’t cut it for him?
A ‘real deal’ is one North Korea cannot realistically abide by. Even if they could, the terms of the agreement would put the country in such a defenseless position that the U.S. could easily formulate an invasion without any significant repercussions.
Further, we have to remember that the ultimate goal of the Washington D.C. establishment is regime change in both Iran and North Korea, two countries with abundant resources that are far too close to America’s chief rivals, China and Russia. Remember that the Trump administration’s National Defense Strategy listed China and Russia as the top threats to the United States, not ISIS or al-Qaeda or any of the entities the U.S. is supposedly at war with.
Either way, the U.S. is not entering either of these agreements in good faith and has only one agenda throughout this entire process. If you don’t believe this, you need only turn to the op-eds written by newly appointed national security advisor John Bolton, who has openly advocated for violent regime change strategies in both North Korea and Iran.
A deal that Iran or North Korea complies with while getting on with their lives and rebuilding their countries’ respective economies without succumbing to the United States’ interests is a deal-breaker for Washington. As Executive Board Member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), Saïd Amin told Anti-Media via email, “Kim Jong-un would be a fool to believe any promises made by the Trump administration.”

Keer op keer beweert Saoedi-Arabië dat Iran militairen heeft in Jemen en de raketten levert aan de Houthi’s, echter het gaat hier om oude legervoorraden (met waardeloze raketten) en zelfgemaakte veredelde vuurpijlen die op goed geluk worden afgeschoten, waarmee je in feite niets kan raken…… Voor de bewering van Iraanse militairen (van de revolutionaire garde) die in Jemen zouden vechten, is al net zoveel bewijs: nul komma nada!
Terug naar de ‘raketten’: het is schier onmogelijk om raketten het land binnen te smokkelen, dit vanwege de blokkades van S-A en De VS (de VS werkt mee aan de blokkades op zee…)….. Saoedi-Arabië en de VS beweren al een paar keer Iraanse schepen te hebben aangehouden waarmee Iraanse wapens werden vervoerd richting Jemen en zoals je kan verwachten: ook voor deze beweringen heeft men tot nu toe niet één bewijs geleverd, terwijl de reguliere westerse media deze ‘leugen’ in de lucht houden….’
Als Iran echt raketten zou leveren aan Iran, was Riyad al voor een groot deel platgelegd, immers Iran kan zelfs raketten in een baan om de aarde brengen…….. Overigens geldt hetzelfde voor de bewering van Israël, dat Iran raketten aan Hamas levert in de Gazastrook, ook deze raketten zijn niet te sturen en worden op goed geluk afgeschoten, ofwel het gaat ook daar om veredelde vuurpijlen……
‘Vreemd trouwens’ dat de reguliere westerse media de raketaanvallen door de Houthi’s op Saoedi-Arabië wel uitgebreid melden, maar amper of geen woord vuil maken aan de grootschalige immense* terreur die de Saoedische coalitie in Jemen uitoefent. Als men al melding maakt van een Saoedische aanval waarbij burgers omkomen, wijst men direct op de agressie van de Houthi’s en meldt men meteen even dat deze rebellengroep mede verantwoordelijk is voor het grote aantal burgerdoden in Jemen…….
Dit terwijl de opstand van de Houthi’s pas echt goed begon, nadat de huidige president Al-Hadi IS en Al Qaida onderdak verleende in Jemen, waarna deze terreurgroepen een begin maakten met terreur uit te oefenen op de sjiitische burgers, o.a. met bomaanslagen op moskeeën….. De Houthi’s waren destijds, samen met de Koerden in Irak en Syrië de enige strijdgroepen die met succes deze terroristen wisten te bestrijden……..
Saudi Arabia Threatens to Attack Iran in Response to Yemeni Missiles
Saudi officials reported seven Yemeni missiles intercepted overnight, with debris from one of the missiles hitting a house and killing an Egyptian laborer. Saudi officials claim the missiles came from Iran, and that they have a “right” to respond militarily against Iran in the future.
The Shi’ite Houthis, who control northern Yemen, deny close ties to Iran, and have insisted in the past that missiles fired at Saudi Arabia are part of Yemen’s pre-war stockpile, and retaliation for Saudi airstrikes. Though the Saudis targeted some missile caches early in the invasion of Yemen, some missiles are known to have survived, and have been fired during the fighting.
The Saudis have maintained the narrative that Iran is behind the Yemen War throughout, but have struggled to prove the weapons smuggling they allege. It doesn’t make much sense that such smuggling could happen in the amounts claimed, in fact, since the Saudis have been blockading the seas around Yemen throughout the war, and even food and medicine struggle to get into northern Yemen.
* Ik weet ‘t dubbelop, maar dat geldt dan ook voor de schunnige bombardementen van Saoedi-Arabië op doelen in Jemen, waar nog de blokkades voor Jemen, door het moorddadige Saoedische en VS regime, bij opgeteld moeten worden…..
