Macron (Franse president) laat ware gezicht zien op vraag over wapenleveringen aan Saoedi-Arabië

De Franse president Macron, eerder o.a. lid van de financiële maffia via een baan bij de bank Rothschild & Cie, heeft eindelijk (althans voor mij) z’n ware gezicht laten zien, hij werd ongelofelijk kwaad toen hem tijdens een show van de Franse marine werd gevraagd, of Frankrijk ook wapenorders van Saoedi-Arabië in de koelkast heeft gezet. Immers de Duitse premier Merkel heeft laten weten de net getekende order voor levering van wapens en ‘militaire hardware’ aan terreurstaat Saoedi-Arabië in de koelkast te hebben gezet, dit vanwege de moord op de Saoedische journalist Khashoggi…..

Als door een horzel gestoken reageerde Macron op deze vraag van een Reuters journalist. Kortom Macron weigerde deze vraag te beantwoorden, hoewel hij even later op een andere vraag dienaangaande stelde dat hij niet behoeft te reageren, telkens als een andere regeringsleider ‘iets’ zegt waarop hij zou moeten reageren…… E.e.a. daar de Duitse minister van economische zaken Peter Altmaier, de andere leiders van EU landen had opgeroepen hetzelfde te doen als Duitsland………

Macron heeft geprobeerd de handelsbelangen van Frankrijk met de reli-fascistische staat Saoedi-Arabië te bagatelliseren, echter zonder succes: Frankrijk heeft van 2008 tot 2017 voor meer dan 11 miljard euro aan wapens, munitie en militaire hardware (vliegend, varend en rollend militair tuig) geleverd aan Saoedi-Arabië, waarmee het land de op één na grootste wapenleverancier van S-A is, op nummer één staat natuurlijk de VS……. Ofwel: naast de VS en GB, heeft ook Frankrijk fiks bijgedragen aan de genocide die S-A ook op dit moment uitvoert op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen…….

Over dat laatste gesproken: Durden, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, merkt terecht op dat de hele boel van hypocrisie aan elkaar hangt, immers op de genocide die de Saoedische coalitie o.l.v. de VS (NAVO-lidstaat) uitvoert in Jemen, wekt amper beroering bij de betrokken partijen in deze zaak

Macron? Zoals veel politici en topgraaiers uit de industrie en andere takken van sport, zoals de financiële maffia, niets anders dan een ordinaire psychopaat……..

 Just days after Germany announced it was suspending arms sales to Saudi Arabia – just weeks after inking a $500 million weapons deal with Riyadh – while the outrage over Khashoggi’s murder lingers, French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday was less enthused about following in the footsteps of his ideological icon, Angela Merkel, and refused to take questions about halting arms sales to Saudi Arabia despite Germany’s calls on its European partners to follow its example and stop arms exports to the kingdom.




 During a Tuesday visit to a naval defense show, journalists asked Macron whether France would follow Germany in halting weapons sales to Riyadh after it admitted to the death of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in its consulate, to which the French president with the plunging approval rating was clearly triggered:




 “This has nothing to do with what we’re talking about. Nothing. So I won’t answer that question. I’m sorry but as long as I’ll be in office this is how it will be, whether people like it or not,” he responded, visibly irritated according to Reuters.


 “It’s not because one leader says something that I must react to it every time. So I won’t answer that,” he added in a bout of insecurity, after a journalist asked a follow-up question.


 As we reported on Monday, Macron’s co-leader of Europe’s hypocritical progressive movement of ideological purity, Angela Merkel, on Monday called the killing of Khashoggi a “monstrosity” and vowed to halt all German arms exports to Riyadh until the case is cleared up. After her comments, Germany’s economy minister – hoping that Germany does not lose market share as it engages in international virtue signaling – Peter Altmaier, called on other European Union member states to follow its example in stopping arms exports to Saudi Arabia to increase pressure on Riyadh over the death of Khashoggi which has caused an international outcry.


 His appeal failed to stir Macron, however.Macron has sought to play down the importance of trade relations with Riyadh, saying that Saudi Arabia was not a major client of France. Which is ironic, because from 2008-17, the Saudis were the second-biggest purchasers of French arms, with deals totalling more than 11 billion euros ($12.6 billion) for tanks, armoured vehicles, munitions, artillery.


 One may ask where this progressive, liberal European echo chamber was during the 3 years in which Saudis were bombing and murdering innocent civilians in Yemen. One would not get an answer.

De Saoedisch journalist Khashoggi, die naar grote waarschijnlijkheid is vermoord in het Saoedische consulaat in Istanbul, zou op de hoogte kunnen zijn geweest van de aanslagen tegen o.a. het WTC op 11 september 2001. 




 Daar Khashoggi in ongenade was gevallen bij de reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië, was hij het land ontvlucht en werkte hij voor de Washington Post. In zijn artikelen deed Khashoggi een boek open o.a. over kroonprins bin Salman (MBS)  




 Finian Cunningham schreef een artikel op Information Clearing House, waarin hij openbaart dat figuren uit de geheime diensten van de VS op de hoogte waren van de Saoedische plannen Khashoggi te ontvoeren en deze hebben verzuimd hem te waarschuwen…… Hieruit zou je inderdaad kunnen afleiden dat de VS zelf al niet blij was met Khashoggi, het waarom zou kunnen duiden op kennis bij Khashoggi van de 9/11 aanslagen in 2001. 


 


 De daders van die aanslagen, aangestuurd door de geheime diensten van de VS, kwamen voor het grootste deel uit Saoedi-Arabië. Het is intussen wel zeker dat 9/11 een false flag operatie was, waarvan vooral de VS heeft geprofiteerd en waarmee men de weg vrij maakte voor nog meer illegale oorlogen tegen landen die de VS niet gehoorzaam genoeg vindt…… VS terreur waarmee sinds 2001 meer dan 2 miljoen mensen werden vermoord…..

 October 14, 2018 “Information Clearing House” – The macabre case of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi raises the question: did Saudi rulers fear him revealing highly damaging information on their secret dealings? In particular, possible involvement in the 9/11 terror attacks on New York in 2001.
 
 Even more intriguing are US media reports now emerging that American intelligence had snooped on and were aware of Saudi officials making plans to capture Khashoggi prior to his apparent disappearance at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last week. If the Americans knew the journalist’s life was in danger, why didn’t they tip him off to avoid his doom?


 Jamal Khashoggi (59) had gone rogue, from the Saudi elite’s point of view. Formerly a senior editor in Saudi state media and an advisor to the royal court, he was imminently connected and versed in House of Saud affairs. As one commentator cryptically put it: “He knew where all the bodies were buried.”
 
 For the past year, Khashoggi went into self-imposed exile, taking up residence in the US, where he began writing opinion columns for the Washington Post.
 
 Khashoggi’s articles appeared to be taking on increasingly critical tone against the heir to the Saudi throne, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The 33-year-old Crown Prince, or MbS as he’s known, is de facto ruler of the oil-rich kingdom, in place of his aging father, King Salman. 




 While Western media and several leaders, such as Presidents Trump and Macron, have been indulging MbS as “a reformer”, Khashoggi was spoiling this Saudi public relations effort by criticizing the war in Yemen, the blockade on Qatar and the crackdown on Saudi critics back home.
 
 However, what may have caused the Saudi royals more concern was what Khashoggi knew about darker, dirtier matters. And not just the Saudis, but American deep state actors as well.
 
 He was formerly a media aide to Prince Turki al Faisal*, who is an eminence gris figure in Saudi intelligence, with its systematic relations to American and British counterparts. Prince Turki’s father, Faisal, was formerly the king of Saudi Arabia until his assassination in 1975 by a family rival. Faisal was a half-brother of the present king, Salman, and therefore Prince Turki is a cousin of the Crown Prince – albeit at 73 more than twice his age.


 For nearly 23 years, from 1977 to 2001, Prince Turki was the director of the Mukhabarat, the Saudi state intelligence apparatus. He was instrumental in Saudi, American and British organization of the mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan to combat Soviet forces. Those militants in Afghanistan later evolved into the al Qaeda terror network, which has served as a cat’s paw in various US proxy wars across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, including Russia’s backyard in the Caucasus.


 Ten days before the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City, in which some 3,000 Americans died, Prince Turki retired from his post as head of Saudi intelligence. It was an abrupt departure, well before his tenure was due to expire.
 
 There has previously been speculation in US media that this senior Saudi figure knew in advance that something major was going down on 9/11. At least 15 of the 19 Arabs who allegedly hijacked three commercial airplanes that day were Saudi nationals.


 Prince Turki has subsequently been named in a 2002 lawsuit mounted by families of 9/11 victims. There is little suggestion he was wittingly involved in organizing the terror plot. Later public comments indicated that Prince Turki was horrified by the atrocity. But the question is: did he know of the impending incident, and did he alert US intelligence, which then did not take appropriate action to prevent it?


 Jamal Khashoggi had long served as a trusted media advisor to Prince Turki, before the latter resigned from public office in 2007. Following 9/11, Turki was the Saudi ambassador to both the US and Britain.
 
 A tentative idea here is that Khashoggi, in his close dealings with Prince Turki over the years, may have gleaned highly sensitive inside information on what actually happened on 9/11. Were the Arab hijackers mere patsies used by the American CIA to facilitate an event which has since been used by American military planners to launch a global “war on terror” as a cover for illegal wars overseas? There is a huge body of evidence that the 9/11 attacks were indeed a “false flag” event orchestrated by the US deep state as a pretext for its imperialist rampages.
 
 The apparent abduction and murder last week of Jamal Khashoggi seems such an astoundingly desperate move by the Saudi rulers. More evidence is emerging from Turkish sources that the journalist was indeed lured to the consulate in Istanbul where he was killed by a 15-member hit squad. Reports are saying that the alleged assassination was ordered at the highest level of the Saudi royal court, which implicates Crown Prince MbS.
 
 Why would the Saudi rulers order such a heinous act, which would inevitably lead to acute political problems, as we are seeing in the fallout from governments and media coverage around the world?
 
 Over the past year, the House of Saud had been appealing to Khashoggi to return to Riyadh and resume his services as a media advisor to the royal court. He declined, fearing that something more sinister was afoot. When Khashoggi turned up in Istanbul to collect a divorce document from the Saudi consulate on September 28, it appears that the House of Saud decided to nab him. He was told to return to the consulate on October 2. On that same day, the 15-member group arrived from Riyadh on two private Gulfstream jets for the mission to kill him.
 
 Official Saudi claims stretch credulity. They say Khashoggi left the consulate building unharmed by a backdoor, although they won’t provide CCTV images to prove that. The Turks say their own CCTV facilities monitoring the front and back of the Saudi consulate show that Khashoggi did not leave the premises. The Turks seem confident of their claim he was murdered inside the building, his remains dismembered and removed in diplomatic vehicles. The two private jets left the same day from Istanbul with the 15 Saudis onboard to return to Riyadh, via Cairo and Dubai.
 
 To carry out such a reckless act, the Saudis must have been alarmed by Khashoggi’s critical commentaries appearing in the Washington Post. The columns appeared to be delivering more and more damaging insights into the regime under Crown Prince MbS.
 
 The Washington Post this week is reporting that US intelligence sources knew from telecom intercepts that the Saudis were planning to abduct Khashoggi. That implicates the House of Saud in a dastardly premeditated act of murder.
 
 But furthermore this same disclosure could also, unwittingly, implicate US intelligence. If the latter knew of a malicious intent towards Khashoggi, why didn’t US agents warn him about going to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul? Surely, he could have obtained the same personal documents from the Saudi embassy in Washington DC, a country where he was residing and would have been safer.
 
 Jamal Khashoggi may have known too many dark secrets about US and Saudi intel collusion, primarily related to the 9/11 terror incidents. And with his increasing volubility as a critical journalist in a prominent American news outlet, it may have been time to silence him. The Saudis as hitmen, the American CIA as facilitators.

Terecht veel aandacht in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en een aantal westerse politici voor de verdwijning en waarschijnlijke moord op de Saoedische journalist Khashoggi. Enorm veel aandacht wel te verstaan.


 Ongelofelijk en onbegrijpelijk dat diezelfde media en politici amper of geen aandacht hebben voor de genocide die Saoedi-Arabië uitvoert (met hulp van o.a. de VS en Groot-Brittannië) op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, een genocide die intussen aan een enorm aantal mensen, inclusief een groot aantal kinderen, het leven heeft gekost…… Trouwens als men al bericht over de situatie in Jemen, blijft het woord ‘genocide’ afwezig, in tegenstelling tot de kop boven dit bericht, waar ik het woord ‘amper’ gebruikte. Het woord ‘amper’ gebruikte ik dan ook om aan te geven dat men af en toe nog wel bericht over de honger in Jemen….* 


 Men durft in die media te stellen dat er door de Saoedische terreurcoalitie meer dan 10.000 mensen zijn omgekomen (lees: vermoord) in Jemen, terwijl dit aantal intussen meer dan 50.000 moet zijn……. Ach ja, S-A moet niet al te negatief worden voorgesteld, je kan er tenslotte enorme winsten halen met nieuwbouw, dienstverlening** en vooral met de verkoop van oorlogstuig door de wapenfabrikanten van westerse landen (waaronder ik ook de makers van militaire hardware versta, dus de fabrikanten van vliegend, rollend en varend oorlogstuig)…… Vergeet daarnaast niet de belangen van de oliemaffia in Saoedi-Arabië……


 Zo af en toe spreekt men in de reguliere media nog net schande over de openbare executies in de reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië, maar zelden was de kritiek zo hevig als na de verdwijning van (en zoals gezegd waarschijnlijke moord op) Khashoggi……. Overigens hoor je de reguliere media vrijwel nooit over de niet bestaande persvrijheid in Saoedi-Arabië….


 Daarover gesproken: plotsklaps is men ook de persbreidel in Turkije vergeten, Turkije waar een groot aantal journalisten wegrot in de gevangenissen van massamoordenaar en dictator Erdogan…….


 Wat betreft kritiek van politici moet wel opgemerkt worden dat degenen die de banden met terreurstaat Saoedi-Arabië willen sparen, zich nu doodstil houden of stellen zoals de Trump administratie, dat er gesproken moet worden met de Saoedische autoriteiten en er samen met de Saoediërs moet worden onderzocht wat er is gebeurd (het recept voor de onschuldig verklaring van S-A….)……


 Wat een hypocriet zootje, gadver!!


 * Als die media spreken over het geweld van de Saoedische coalitie, zoals na het bombarderen van een schoolbus, haalt men direct even ‘het geweld’ van de Houthi rebellen aan, terwijl die zich volkomen terecht verzetten tegen de terreur die wordt uitgeoefend op de sjiitische burgers van Jemen door diezelfde coalitie….. Bovendien kan men geen bewijzen geven voor massamoorden begaan door de Houthi rebellen.


 ** Onder andere Virgin baas, topgraaier Branson deed twee toeristische projecten voor de Saoedische dictatuur. Deze week besloot hij daar, vanwege de waarschijnlijke moord op Khashoggi, een punt achter te zetten, terwijl de al meer dan 3 jaar gaande zijnde genocide in Jemen hem koud liet en laat…….

Trump volgt het scenario van deep state: oorlog met Iran ‘is onvermijdelijk….’

John C. O’Day publiceerde vorige week vrijdag een artikel op Fair.org dat ik overnam van Anti-Media (en dat je onder mijn schrijven terug kan vinden). Hierin vestigt O’Day de aandacht op de Iran-deal van een paar jaar geleden, deze deal of: the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), werd destijds bediscussieerd in de reguliere (massa-) media, waar men stelde dat Iran ofwel deze deal moest slikken, daar anders alleen oorlog met Iran zou overblijven als alternatief……… 




 De voorspelling dat oorlog het enige alternatief zou zijn, werd door de Trump administratie gevolgd, door de deal alsnog af te blazen en met enorme anti-Iran propaganda te beweren dat Iran zich niet aan de deal houdt, ook al zeggen alle VN wapeninspecties dat Iran inderdaad is gestopt met de verrijking van uranium en is begonnen met het ontmantelen van de daarvoor benodigde centrifuges. 
 
 Bolton, de oorlogshitser en oorlogsmisdadiger (die voor het leven gevangen zou moeten zitten in Scheveningen) beweerde dat wanneer Iran de boel zou belazeren, het land te maken zou krijgen met ‘de woede van de VS’, ofwel met grootscheepse terreur in de vorm van één van de zwaarste oorlogsmisdaden, het beginnen van alweer een illegale oorlog door deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde………… 
 
 Een belachelijke uitlating van Bolton daar de VS zonder enig bewijs en in tegenspraak met officiële VN rapporten toch al stelt dat Iran vals speelt, m.a.w.: de reden voor de VS om een (illegale) oorlog tegen Iran te beginnen, is door de VS zelf gecreëerd…….. (iets waar de VS ‘goed in is’, neem alle false flag operaties van deze terreurenteit)




 O’Day stelt dat de woorden van figuren als Bolton en Trump nog amper op kritiek kunnen rekenen in de VS, wat volgens hem het gevolg is van de berichtgeving in de reguliere media……. O’Day noemt een groot aantal voorbeelden en stelt dan ook dat de Trump administratie die media volgt, echter daar ben ik het niet mee eens. O’Day vergeet het begrip Deep State, de werkelijke machthebbers, die al helemaal niet blij waren met de Iran-deal. Deze Deep State beheerst ook de massamedia en zijn derhalve verantwoordelijk voor wat die media brengen aan (nep-) nieuws, leugens en pure propaganda (waarbij Goebbels z’n gore vingers zou aflikken….)

 (FAIR.org) — Three years ago, as Americans debated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran—popularly known as “the Iran deal”—I highlighted a troubling media trend on FAIR.org (8/20/15): “For nearly all commentators, regardless of their position, war is the only alternative to that position.”




 In the months since US President Donald Trump tore up the JCPOA agreement, his administration has been trying to make good on corporate media’s collective prediction. Last week, John Bolton (BBC, 9/26/18), Trump’s national security advisor and chief warmonger, told Iran’s leaders and the world that there would be “hell to pay” if they dare to “cross us.”
 


  


 John Bolton (BBC, 9/26/18): “Let my message today be clear: We are watching, and we will come after you.”


 That Bolton’s bellicose statements do not send shockwaves of pure horror across a debt-strapped and war-weary United States is thanks in large part to incessant priming for war, facilitated by corporate media across the entire political spectrum, with a particular focus on Iran.




 Back in 2015, while current “resistance” stalwarts like the Washington Post (4/2/15)  


 and Politico (8/11/15) warned us that war with Iran was the most likely alternative to the JCPOA, conservative standard-bearers such as Fox News (7/14/15) and the Washington Times (8/10/15) foretold that war with Iran was the agreement’s most likely outcome. Three years hence, this dynamic has not changed.

 To experience the full menu of US media’s single-mindedness about Iran, one need only buy a subscription to the New York Times. After Trump withdrew from the JCPOA, the Times’ editorial board (5/8/18) wrote that his move would “lay conditions for a possible wider war in the Middle East.” Susan Rice (New York Times, 5/8/18), President Barack Obama’s national security advisor, agreed: “We could face the choice of going to war or acquiescing to a nuclear-armed Iran,” she warned. Cartoonist Patrick Chappatte (New York Times, 5/10/18) was characteristically more direct, penning an image of Trump alongside Bolton, holding a fictitious new agreement featuring the singular, ultimate word: “WAR.”




 On the other hand, calling Trump’s turn against JCPOA a “courageous decision,” Times columnist Bret Stephens (5/8/18) explained that the move was meant to force the Iranian government to make a choice: Either accede to US demands or “pursue their nuclear ambitions at the cost of economic ruin and possible war.” (Hardly courageous, when we all know there is no chance that Trump or Stephens would enlist should war materialize.)




 Trump’s latest antics at the United Nations have spurred a wave of similar reaction across corporate media. Describing his threat to “totally destroy North Korea” at the UN General Assembly last year as “pointed and sharp,” Fox News anchor Eric Shawn (9/23/18) asked Bill Richardson, an Obama ally and President Bill Clinton’s ambassador to the UN, whether Trump would take the same approach toward Iran. “That aggressive policy we have with Iran is going to continue,” Richardson reassured the audience, “and I don’t think Iran is helping themselves.” In other words, if the United States starts a war with Iran, it’s totally Iran’s fault.




 Politico (9/23/18), meanwhile, reported that Trump “is risking a potential war with Iran unless he engages the Islamist-led country using diplomacy.” In other words, if the United States starts a war with Iran, it’s totally Trump’s fault. Rice (New York Times, 9/26/18) reiterated her view that Trump’s rhetoric “presages the prospect of war in the Persian Gulf.” Whoever would be the responsible party is up for debate, but that war is in our future is apparently all but certain.




 Politico’s article cited a statement signed by such esteemed US experts on war-making as Madeleine Albright, who presided over Clinton’s inhuman sanctions against Iraq in the ’90s, and Ryan Crocker, former ambassador for presidents George W. Bush and Obama to some of America’s favorite killing fields: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. James Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, who also signed the letter, played an important role in trumping up WMD evidence against Saddam Hussein before the United States invaded Iraq in 2003. When it comes to US aggression, they’re the experts.




 Vanity Fair (9/26/18) interviewed John Glaser of the Cato Institute, who called Trump’s strategy “pathetic,” and also warned that it forebodes war. In an effort to “one-up Obama,” Glaser explained, Trump’s plan is “to apply extreme economic pressure and explicit threats of war in order to get Iran to capitulate.” Sound familiar? As Glaser implies, this was exactly Obama’s strategy, only then it wasn’t seen as “pathetic,” but rather reasonable, and the sole means for preventing the war that every US pundit and politician saw around the corner (The Hill, 8/9/15).




 When everyone decides that war is the only other possibility, it starts to look like an inevitability. But even when they aren’t overtly stoking war fever against Iran, corporate media prime the militaristic pump in more subtle yet equally disturbing ways.




  


 Benjamin Netanyahu speaks for the Iranian people on CNN (9/29/18).


 First among these is the near-complete erasure of Iranian voices from US airwaves (FAIR.org, 7/24/15). Rather than ask Iranians directly, national outlets like CNN (9/29/18) prefer to invite the prime minister of Israel, serial Iran alarmist and regional pariah Benjamin Netanyahu, to speak for them. During a jovial discussion this weekend over whether regime change and/or economic collapse is Iran’s most likely fate, Netanyahu explained to the audience that, either way,


 “The ones who will be happiest if that happens are the people of Iran.” No people of Iran were on hand to confirm or deny this assessment.




 Bloomberg (9/30/18) similarly wanted to know, “What’s not to like about Trump’s Iran oil sanctions?” Julian Lee gleefully reported that “they are crippling exports from the Islamic Republic, at minimal cost to the US.” One might think the toll sanctions take on innocent Iranians would be something not to like, but Bloomberg merely worried that, notwithstanding the windfall for US refineries, “oil at $100 a barrel would be bad news for drivers everywhere—including those in the US.”




 Another prized tactic is to whitewash Saudi Arabia, Iran’s chief geopolitical rival, whose genocidal destruction of Yemen is made possible by the United States, about which corporate media remain overwhelmingly silent (FAIR.org, 7/23/18). Iran’s involvement in Yemen, which both Trump and the New York Times (9/12/18) describe as “malign behavior,” is a principal justification for US support of Saudi Arabia, including the US-supplied bombs that recently ended the brief lives of over 40 Yemeni schoolchildren. Lockheed Martin’s stock is up 34 percentfrom Trump’s inauguration day.




 Corporate media go beyond a simple coverup of Saudi crimes to evangelize their leadership as the liberal antidote to Iran’s “theocracy.” Who can forget Thomas Friedman’s revolting puff piece for the Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman? Extensively quoting Salman (New York Times, 11/23/17), who refers to Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as “the new Hitler of the Middle East,” Friedman nevertheless remains pessimistic about whether “MBS and his team” can see their stand against Iran through, as “dysfunction and rivalries within the Sunni Arab world generally have prevented forming a unified front.” Oh well, every team needs cheerleaders, and Friedman isn’t just a fair-weather fan.




 While Friedman (New York Times, 5/15/18) believes that Trump has drawn “some needed attention to Iran’s bad behavior,” for him pivotal questions remain unanswered, such as “who is going to take over in Tehran if the current Islamic regime collapses?” One immediate fix he proposed was to censure Iran’s metaphorical “occupation” of Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. Isn’t this ironic coming from an unapologetic propagandist for Washington’s decades-long, non-metaphorical occupation of the two countries to the east and west of Iran (FAIR.org, 12/9/15)?




 In a surprising break from corporate media convention, USA Today (9/26/18) published a column on US/Iran relations written by an actual Iranian. Reflecting on the CIA-orchestrated coup against Iran’s elected government in 1953, Azadeh Shahshahani, who was born four days after the 1979 revolution there, wrote:
 
 “I often wonder what would have happened if that coup had not worked, if [Prime Minister] Mosaddeq had been allowed to govern, if democracy had been allowed to flourish.”




 “It is time for the US government to stop intervening in Iran and let the Iranian people determine their own destiny,” she beseeched readers.




  


 Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin confronts the head of Trump’s “Iran Action Group” (Real News, 9/21/18).
 


 Shahshahani’s call is supported by some who have rejected corporate media’s war propaganda and have gone to extreme lengths to have their perspectives heard. Anti-war activist and Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin was recently forcibly removed after she upstaged Brian Hook, leader of Trump’s Iran Action Group, on live TV, calling his press conference “the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen” (Real News, 9/21/18). Benjamin implored the audience: “Let’s talk about Saudi Arabia. Is that who our allies are?”




 “How dare you bring up the issue of Yemen,” admonished Benjamin as she was dragged from the room. “It’s the Saudi bombing that is killing most people in Yemen. So let’s get real. No more war! Peace with Iran!” Code Pink is currently petitioning the New York Times and Washington Post to stop propagandizing war.




 Sadly, no matter whom you ask in corporate media, be they spokespeople for “Trump’s America” or “the resistance,” peace remains an elusive choice in the US political imagination. And while the public was focused last week on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s perjurious testimony, the Senate finalized a $674 billion “defense” budget. Every single Democrat in the chamber voted in favor of the bill, explicitly naming Iran as persona non grata in the United States’ world-leading arms supply network, which has seen a 25 percent increase in exports since Obama took office in 2009.




 The US government’s imperial ambitions are perhaps its only truly bipartisan project—what the New York Times euphemistically refers to as “globalism.” Nowhere was this on fuller display than at the funeral for Republican Sen. John McCain (FAIR.org, 9/11/18), where politicians of all stripes were tripping over themselves to produce the best accolades for a man who infamously sang“bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” to the tune of a Beach Boys song.




 McCain’s bloodlust was nothing new. Nearly a hundred years ago, after the West’s imperial competition culminated in the most destructive war the world had ever seen, the brilliant American sociologist and anti-colonial author WEB Du Bois wrote, “This is not Europe gone mad; this is not aberration nor insanity; this is Europe.”




 Iranian leaders have repeatedly said they do not want war with the US (AP, 9/27/18), but US corporate media, despite frequently characterizing Trump as a “mad king” (FAIR.org, 6/13/18), continue to play an instrumental role in rationalizing a future war with Iran. Should such an intentional catastrophe come to pass, we can hardly say that this would be America gone mad; war is not aberration, it is always presented as the next sane choice. This is America.

Een team van wetenschappers verbonden aan Science Policy Forum (in de VS) luiden de noodklok over een ‘mysterieus’ overheidsprogramma om virussen te verspreiden met insecten……. 




 Pentagons Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) voert het programma uit en is niets anders dan, zoals gezegd, de ontwikkeling van nieuwe biowapens waarmee de VS de oogsten van haar onwelgevallige landen zou kunnen vernietigen en daarmee een verandering van regime (‘regime change’) zou kunnen afdwingen zonder één schot te lossen……. Dat er door dergelijke terreur een enorm aantal mensen zal overlijden, schijnt niemand in het Pentagon te deren………. (zoals gewoonlijk….)




 Blijkbaar is honger tegenwoordig in de VS een geaccepteerd middel om oorlog te voeren, iets dat uitdrukkelijk als ernstige oorlogsmisdaad is opgenomen in het Verdrag van Genève……..  (ZHE Op-ed) — A team of scientists sound the alarm in a new Science Policy Forum report about a mysterious US government program that is developing genetically modified viruses that would be dispersed into the environment using insects. The virus-infected or ‘Frankenstein’ insects are being developed as countermeasures against potential natural and engineered threats to the US food supply. The program is operated by the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) could be viewed as an attempt to develop an entirely new class of bioweapons that would prompt other nations to seek similar weapons, they cautioned.




 The researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology and the University of Freiburg both in Germany, and the University of Montpellier in France suggest DARPA’s program could likely breach the Biological Weapons Convention, the first multilateral disarmament treaty banning the development, production, and stockpiling of biological and toxin weapons.




 Dubbed the “Insect Allies” program, DARPA began modifying insects in 2017, with the plan to produce more resilient crops to help farmers deal with climate change, drought, frost, floods, salinity, and disease, said Gizmodo. The technology at the center of the program is an entirely new method of genetically modifying crops. Instead of modifying seeds in a lab, farmers would send swarms of insects into their crops, where the genetically modified bugs would infect plants with a virus that passes along the new resilience genes, a process known as horizontal genetic alteration. Hence the technology’s name—Horizontal Environmental Genetic Alteration Agents (HEGAA).




  




 For HEGAA to work, Gizmodo explains that DARPA labs develop a virus that is inserted into the chromosome of a target organism. Scientists would use leafhoppers, whiteflies, and aphids genetically altered in the lab using CRISPR, or a variant of a gene-editing system, to carry the virus into crops. Each plant would then be infected by the insect, triggering the intended effects of protecting crops from natural and or human-made threats. 
 
 However, the lead author of the report, Richard Guy Reeves from the Department of Evolutionary Genetics at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, says DARPA’s Insect Allies program is disturbing and an example of dual-use research in which the US government, in addition to aiding farmers’ crops, is also developing a biological weapon. 
 
 Insect Allies is reportedly backed by $27 million of funding. According to Gizmodo, there are four academic research teams currently working on the project, including researchers at the Boyce Thompson Institute in New York, Pennsylvania State University, Ohio State University and the University of Texas at Austin. DARPA maintains that “all work is conducted inside closed laboratories, greenhouses, or other secured facilities,” and that the insects have built-in lifespans to limit their spread. By 2020 or 2021, DARPA is planning on testing the virus-infected insects on crops inside greenhouses at undisclosed locations.
 
 
 
 Reeves said the use of insects as a vehicle for genetic modification is a horrible idea because they cannot be controlled and indicates that traditional overhead sprays to deliver HEGAAs is the safest bet. DARPA says insects are the only practical solution, as overhead spraying of HEGAAs would require increased farming infrastructure — something that is not available to all farmers.




 The report specifies how there is currently no global regulatory framework to support this new way of transporting HEGAAs to crops, which if not supervised correctly, could lead to potential mishaps.




 The scientists of the report interpret DARPA’s insect program as “an intention to develop a means of delivery of HEGAAs for offensive purposes,” such as conducting biological warfare.




 These genetically modified bugs could be implanted with a dangerous plant-killing disease that the Trump adminstration could unleash over farmland in Venezuela, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and or even China, that would decimate the countries’ food supply.




 The introduction of this potentially dangerous technology, the scientists argue, would usher in an entirely new class of biological, insect-dispatched weapons that could be considered weapons of mass destruction. Scientists warn that this technology would spur rival nations to develop similar insect programs.




 In response to a Gizmodo question, a spokesperson for DARPA said it welcomes academic dialogue about the Insect Allies program, but criticizes the conclusion of the report, saying it is “misleading and peppered with inaccuracies.”




 Blake Bextine, DARPA Program Manager for Insect Allies, rejects many of the claims made by Reeves.




 “DARPA is not producing biological weapons, and we reject the hypothetical scenario,” Bextine told Gizmodo.
 


 “We accept and agree with concerns about potential dual use of technology, an issue that comes up with virtually every new powerful technology. Those concerns are precisely why we structured the Insect Allies program the way we did, as a transparent, university-led, fundamental research effort that benefits from the active participation of regulators and ethicists and proactive communication to policymakers,” said Bextine.




 The purpose of Insect Allies program, he states, is to prepare for a new era of emerging threats to US agriculture. Brextine added that DARPA is evaluating the potential environmental impacts of HEGAAs.


 “DARPA is extraordinarily sensitive to environmental risks and off-target effects, and has structured the Insect Allies program to identify and mitigate them,” he said. “DARPA has mandated multiple levels of biosafety and biosecurity at each stage of the program.”




 If DARPA’s program succeeds, they will have developed gain-of-function treatments that can be delivered to the “right plants” and the “right tissue,” he said. In other words, DARPA wants precision guided biological weapon insects.




 Jason Delborne, an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University, an expert in genetic engineering, says the concerns seem “appropriate.”


 “The social, ethical, political, and ecological implications of producing HEGAAs are significant and worthy of the same level of attention as exploring the science underpinning the potential technology,” Delborne told Gizmodo.


 “The authors argue persuasively that specifying insects as the preferred delivery mechanism for HEGAAs is poorly justified by visions of agricultural applications. The infrastructure and expertise required for spraying agricultural fields—at least in the U.S. context—is well established, and this delivery mechanism would offer greater control over the potential spread of a HEGAA.”




 DARPA could be on the cusp of obtaining a new biological weapon that would most certainly be used against Venezuela, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and or even China, to cripple the countries’ food supply and lead to a regime change without firing a signal shot — this the future of warfare.

De wapenindustrie in de VS is medeplichtig aan misdaden tegen de menselijkheid in landen als Jemen, waar in dat genoemde land zelfs een genocide wordt uitgevoerd onder verantwoordelijkheid van Saoedi-Arabië en de VS……. 




 De bom die een eind maakte aan het leven van 44 kinderen in een schoolbus, werd gefabriceerd door Lockheed Martin. Dit bombardement, gericht op een schoolbus en een markt waar de bus zich op het moment van inslag bevond, heeft hevige verontwaardiging uitgelokt in de VS, waar men eindelijk leek op te waken uit een comateuze slaap als het om de massamoorden in Jemen gaat. (intussen is het volk in de VS op dit onderwerp voor het overgrote deel alweer ingedut).




 Het laatste geldt niet voor een flinke groep mensen die zich roeren op de sociale media, zoals Medea Benjamin en Nicolas J.S. Davies, de schrijvers van het hieronder opgenomen artikel dat werd gepubliceerd op Foreign Policy In Focus (FPIF).




 De VS is de grootste wapenexporteur op de wereld en de wapenindustrie daar wordt gedomineerd door de volgende bedrijven: Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics en Boeing.




 Van 1999 t/m 2009 gaf de VS het achterlijk hoge bedrag van 1.3 biljoen dollar (biljoen zoals wij dat zien) uit aan illegale oorlogsvoering, daarnaast gaf de VS in diezelfde tijd nog eens 1.8 biljoen dollar uit aan rollend, varend en vliegend oorlogstuig…….. Met dat enorme bedrag voert de VS niet alleen illegale oorlogen, waar haar belangen in het geding zijn, maar dat geld wordt ook gebruikt voor de meer dan 800 militaire bases die de VS als een kankergezwel over de wereld heeft opgebouwd……  




 En dan vindt de politiek in ons land dat we meer moeten uitgeven aan defensie uh oorlogsvoering, daar de VS klaagt over de ‘te geringe uitgaven’ aan oorlogstuig…… Waar niet vergeten moet worden dat de politici in de VS ook nog eens grootlobbyisten zijn van het militair-industrieel complex en hun baas bedienen wanneer ze schande spreken over de ‘geringe uitgaven’ aan oorlogstuig van de andere NAVO-partners…..  IN YEMEN AND BEYOND, U.S. ARMS MANUFACTURERS ARE ABETTING CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY





 Yemen 












 United States (FPIF) – The Saudi bombing of a school bus in Yemen on August 9, 2018 killed 44 children and wounded many more. The attack struck a nerve in the U.S., confronting the American public with the wanton brutality of the Saudi-led war on Yemen. When CNN revealed that the bomb used in the airstrike was made by U.S. weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin, the horror of the atrocity hit even closer to home for many Americans.


 But the killing and maiming of civilians with U.S.-made weapons in war zones around the world is an all too regular occurrence. U.S. forces are directly responsible for largely uncounted civilian casualties in all America’s wars, and the United States is also the world’s leading arms exporter.


 Pope Francis has publicly blamed the “industry of death” for fueling a “piecemeal World War III.” The U.S. military-industrial complex wields precisely the “unwarranted influence” over U.S. foreign policy that President Eisenhower warned Americans against in his farewell address in 1961.


 The U.S. wars on Afghanistan and Iraq and the “global war on terror” served as cover for a huge increase in U.S. military spending. Between 1998 and 2010, the U.S. spent $1.3 trillion on its wars, but even more, $1.8 trillion, to buy new warplanes, warships, and weapons, most of which were unrelated to the wars it was fighting.


 Five U.S. companies — Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and General Dynamics — dominate the global arms business, raking in $140 billion in weapons sales in 2017, and export sales make up a growing share of their business, about $35 billion in 2017.


 In a new report for Code Pink and the Divest from the War Machine campaign, we have documented how Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Egypt have systematically used weapons produced by these five U.S. companies to massacre civilians, destroy civilian infrastructure, and commit other war crimes. The bombing of the school bus was only the latest in a consistent pattern of Saudi massacres and air strikes on civilian targets, from hospitals to marketplaces, and U.S. arms sales to Israel and Egypt follow a similar pattern.


 U.S. laws require the suspension of arms sales to countries that use them in such illegal ways, but the U.S. State Department has an appalling record on enforcing these laws. Under the influence of Acting Assistant Secretary of State Charles Faulkner, a former lobbyist for Raytheon, Secretary Pompeo falsely certified to Congress that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are complying with U.S. law in their use of American weapons.


 The U.S. sells weapons to Saudi Arabia and other allies to project U.S. military power by proxy without the U.S. military casualties, domestic political backlash, and international resistance that result from direct uses of U.S. military force, while U.S. military-industrial interests are well-served by ever-growing arms sales to allied governments.


 These policies are driven by the very combination of military-industrial interests that Eisenhower warned Americans against, now represented by Secretary Pompeo, Acting Assistant Secretary Faulkner, and a cabal of hawkish Democrats who consistently vote with Republicans on war and peace issues. They ensure that the “war party” always wins its battles in Congress no matter how catastrophically its policies fail in the real world.


 Republicans derided President Obama’s doctrine of covert and proxy war as “leading from behind.”But the Trump administration has doubled down on Obama’s failed strategy, surrendering even more power over U.S. policy to foreign clients like Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Egypt, and to the “unwarranted influence” of the U.S. military-industrial complex.


 Lockheed Martin is earning $29.1 billion in sales from the $110 billion Saudi arms package announced in May 2017, a deal struck as the war on Yemen was already killing thousands of civilians. Yet no conflict of interest is too glaring for Lockheed executives like Ronald Perrilloux Jr., who has taken part in public events to promote the war and defend Saudi Arabia and its allies, arguing that the U.S. should “help them finish the job” in Yemen.


 Not to be outdone, Boeing, the second largest arms producer in the U.S. and the world after Lockheed Martin, has also been linked to the deaths of hundreds of civilians in Yemen. Fragments of Boeing JDAM bombs were found in the debris of a 2016 attack on a marketplace near the Yemeni capital of Sana’a that killed 107 civilians, including 25 children. Human Rights Watch found that the airstrike caused predictably indiscriminate and disproportionate civilian deaths, in violation of the laws of war, and called for a suspension of arms sales to Saudi Arabia.


 To profit from wars on some of the poorest, most vulnerable people in the world, from Yemen to Gaza to Afghanistan, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and General Dynamics have developed a business model that feeds on war, terrorism, chaos, political instability, human rights violations, disregard for international law, and the triumph of militarism over diplomacy. Real diplomacy to bring peace and disarmament to our war-torn world poses the most serious “threat” to their profits.


 But the American people have never voted to funnel the largest share of our taxes into endless war and ever-growing profits for the “industry of death.” It is time for the sleeping giant, what President Eisenhower called “an alert and knowledgeable citizenry,” to wake from its slumber, take responsibility for our country’s foreign policies and act decisively for peace.

Medea Benjamin toont kijkers wat echt verzet tegen Trump inhoudt en hoe de VS Iran demoniseert

 Medea Benjamin, een activist van CodePink, heeft afgelopen woensdag een tv uitzending verstoord waarin Brian Hook, een ultra rechtse plork van de denktank Hudson Institute, met zijn smerige anti-Iraanse propaganda de kijker voorliegt dat een oorlog tegen Iran volkomen gerechtvaardigd is. Het gegeven dat deze Hook de adviseur was van massamoordenaar en oorlogshitser Bolton en dat nu is voor ploert Mike Pompeo, o.a. directeur van Iran Action Team, zal je na het voorgaande niet verrassen.




 Benjamin liet voordat ze door twee ‘zware jongens’ werd afgevoerd, precies weten waar het op staat en hekelde ze de afwijzing door de Trump administratie van de nucleaire deal met Iran en de opnieuw opgelegde sancties tegen Iran, die m.n. de gewone Iraniërs treffen…. Voorts hekelde Benjamin de weg die de Trump administratie volgt naar een illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Iran, waar ze nog eens fijntjes wees op de desastreuze gevolgen van de illegale oorlogen die de VS begon tegen Irak, Libië en Syrië……. (o.a. meer dan 2 miljoen doden, ofwel door de VS vermoordde slachtoffers…)




 In de VS worden de anti-Trump democraten afgeschilderd als verzetslieden tegen de Trump administratie, dit vanwege de zogenaamde ‘Trump-Rusland connectie’ (‘Russiagate’). Johnstone stelt terecht dat dit zogenaamde verzet zich niet bezighoudt met de genocide (die Johnstone jammer genoeg niet zo noemt), die Saoedi-Arabië met hulp van de VS* uitvoert in Jemen…….  




 Vandaar ook de titel die Johnstone haar artikel meegaf, waarin ze het echte verzet tegen de Trump administratie door Benjamin verwoordt.




 Niet vergeten moet worden dat onder Obama die steun al bestond, de steun voor de genocide die Saoedi-Arabië uitvoert in buurland Jemen Johnstone stelt dan ook terecht dat er geen verschil bestaat tussen de de buitenlandpolitiek van de republikeinen en de democraten**. Wel vreemd dat Johnstone de democraten de enorme ongefundeerde hysterie over Trump-Russische inmenging in de presidentsverkiezingen van 2016 verwijt en de democraten meteen onder de neus wrijft geen kritiek te leveren op de massamoord die in Jemen nu al sinds 2014 plaatsvindt (Johnstone betoogt dat je als democraat de Trump administratie het verwijt kan maken mee te werken aan die massamoord in Jemen en dan m.n. door te wijzen op het grote aantal kinderen dat hier het slachtoffer van is…..) Het is bepaald niet zo vreemd dat de democraten die niet doen, daar de situatie onder het democratisch bewind van Obama hetzelfde was, ook deze ‘vredesduif’ werkte mee aan die genocidale massamoorden, ofwel enorme oorlogsmisdaden……..


 


 Johnstone wijst ook op de VS of beter gezegd de CIA machinaties in Iran, waar de VS een gewelddadige opstand op poten heeft gezet (het gebruikelijke VS scenario), om zo het huidige bewind ten val te brengen en een VS vriendelijk bewind te vestigen (dat hoeft zelfs niet een democratisch bewind te zijn….)….. De VS heeft zelfs toegeven geld te steken in de (gewelddadige) oppositie en met hen samen te werken….. Je kan er dan ook donder op zeggen dat de VS (CIA) regisseur is van de aanslag, die afgelopen zaterdag plaatsvond op een militaire parade in Iran…….. 





 Medea Benjamin Shows America What Real Resistance Looks Like


  




 Almost immediately after hitting publish on my last article about how the so-called “Resistance” to the Trump administration doesn’t actually resist Trump’s most pernicious agendas in any meaningful way, I saw an awesome video clip proving that there is at least one woman out there providing real opposition to Trump where it matters.


 A think tank is an organization wherein highly-paid academics pour their collective brainpower into coming up with convincing arguments that it would be good and smart to do something evil and stupid. At one such think tank, the Hudson Institute, former John Bolton advisor and current Mike Pompeo lackey Brian Hook had his neocon cuddle party interrupted by CodePink activist Medea Benjamin Wednesday morning. Benjamin excoriated the Director of Policy Planning for Pompeo’s Iran Action Team, decrying the Trump administration’s crippling sanctions following its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal.


 




 “That is the most ridiculous thing I have seen,” Benjamin exclaimed while security staff worked to muscle her off the stage. “The world community wants to keep the Iran nuclear deal. Our allies—the Germans, the French, the British—they want to keep in this deal. The world community wants to keep the deal. Let’s talk about normal countries. Let’s talk about Saudi Arabia. Is that who our allies are? They are the biggest threat to the world community. And let’s talk—you’re hurting me. You’re actually hurting me. I want to ask: Do you think these sanctions are hurting the regime, or are they hurting the Iranian people? They’re hurting the Iranian people. You are making a case for war with Iran. How did the war with Iraq turn out? You’re doing exactly the same thing we did in the case of Iraq. We don’t want another war in the Middle East. Let’s see, how did Iraq turn out? How did Libya turn out? We have the people of Syria suffering. And how dare you bring up the issue of Yemen? It’s the Saudi bombing that is killing most people in Yemen. So let’s get real. No more war! Peace with Iran!”


 The think tank ghouls chuckled and mocked her, but the damage was done and the video went viral.


 As a reminder, the Trump administration has not only leveled crippling sanctions upon Iran with the goal of fomenting civil unrest, but has also escalated CIA covert operations led by Trump-appointed officials and cultivated an intimate relationship with the MEK terror cult, which is spearheading a social media propaganda campaign against the Iranian government directed at western audiences. The Trump administration’s approach to Iran is in these ways mirroring the Obama administration’s approach to Libya and Syria, and has been called a regime change policy in all but name due to the many unrealistic demands being made of the Iranian government in order to deescalate. These escalations could easily erupt into direct hot war in the future, especially with this administration being stuffed to the gills with virulent Iran hawks at the highest levels.

 The Medea Benjamin video is so tasty I’ve watched it several times. It feels like it’s attuning my cells and reminding me what it takes to put up real time resistance in the stifling atmosphere of opposition by breaking through the somnolent hypnosis of tribal dynamics.


 This is what it takes. But this is all it takes. Interrupt our regularly scheduled programming with a burst of truth and humanity will inevitably rouse a few more from their hypnosis, and a few more awake is a few more towards tipping point. While Democrats are holding demonstrations in support of longstanding neocon agendas against Russia and leftists are gathering to punch racist nobodies in the face, this feisty little sheila threw her body into the bright lights of the brainwashing machine and jammed it right up until they had to physically remove her.


 Are we seeing the heart of the anti-war left kick back into life? I sure fucking hope so. Unlike the impotent busybox of Russiagate, this is the resistance to Trump that is real, and it will work. Attacking the Trump administration on their continuation of Bushbama’s warmongering ecocidal, omnicidal policies and refusing to fall in line with longstanding neocon agendas runs interference on the very lifeblood of the parasitic elite that seek to suck the tax dollars of working Americans into murdering humans and fattening Raytheon profit margins.




 




 Destroying the war machine fixes everything from climate change to living standards, terrorism, famine, homelessness, mental health, slavery, plus all the horrors that war always necessarily births into the world such as rape, black markets, human trafficking, refugee crises and so on. Not to mention the butchery of humans for profit which is what war is. Putting up resistance by breaking the hypnotic effect of war propaganda works. No one actually wants war apart from a handful of powerful elites who fund these think tanks to weave lies and manipulate truth into stories that will manufacture consent for endless military bloodbaths. Simply using the truth to run interference on these lies and spin is enough.


 


 Medea Benjamin is my hero. People are going to tell me that she and her organization haven’t been exactly 100 percent perfect on every single issue every single day, because this is the left and that’s what the left does. But I don’t care; anyone who’s willing to throw a hammer in the gears of the machine to any extent is a hero to whatever extent that they did so. Enough of us doing what Medea Benjamin did would bring the entire machine crashing down.

 Bij die hoofdelijke verantwoordelijkheid van de VS moet niet vergeten worden dat dezelfde VS maar hoeft te kikken en S-A zal haar barbaarse terreur stoppen, terreur die zonder de hulp en toestemming van de VS niet eens mogelijk is……. Kortom de VS is in feite dubbel verantwoordelijk voor de massamoorden in Jemen……

Saoedi-Arabië heeft laten zien dat de excuses voor de aanval op een schoolbus vals waren en deze alleen heeft gemaakt voor de (wereld) ‘bühne’: afgelopen dinsdag bombardeerde deze reli-fascistische dictatuur een busstation in Hodeida…… Het aantal doden (vermoord) ligt vooralsnog op 20, waaronder alweer een aantal kinderen……..  




 Kortom ook nu weer kinderen tussen de vermoorde slachtoffers en ook nu werden de straaljagers en bommenwerpers van de reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië in de lucht afgetankt door de vereniging van terreurstaten, die men aanduidt als de VS……… Dezelfde VS die ook de coördinatie doet voor de bombardementen van de Saoedische terreurcoalitie……… Kortom ook al zouden de gebruikte bommen niet van VS makelij zijn, de VS blijft mede hoofdverantwoordelijk voor deze massamoorden….




 De genocide die S-A en haar terreurcoalitie, gesteund door NAVO partners VS en Groot-Brittannië, voltrekt in Jemen, kan alweer niet rekenen op de belangstelling van de wereld, er zijn geen lessen geleerd van de genocide in Rwanda (die werd uitgevoerd in 1994)…..




 Intussen dreigt de VS zelfs het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) met geweld, daar dit orgaan met het schaamrood op de kaken eindelijk onderzoek gaat doen naar de enorme oorlogsmisdaden van de VS…….




 Ongelofelijk dat de rest van het westen de VS niet onmiddellijk heeft veroordeeld, na die bedreiging aan het adres van het ICC…..* Zelfs Nederland niet….. Het voorgaande maakt dan ook meer dan duidelijk dat het westen niet wenst dat de VS veroordeeld wordt, waarmee je in feite kan stellen dat ook de rest van het westen mede verantwoordelijk is voor de gaande zijnde genocide in Jemen……

 (ANTIWAR.COM) — Last month, Saudi warplanes attacked a busload of school children in northern Yemen, killing scores of them. The strike used a US-provided bomb, and led to major Congressional moves to limit involvement in the war. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on Wednesday, signed off on Saudi activities, bypassing Congressional limits.




 Having dodged a bullet in avoiding Congressional attempts to halt US aid, the Saudis clearly haven’t learned anything, however, as on Thursday, Saudi warplanes attacked a bus station in the port city of Hodeidah, killing at least 20 civilians, mostly children.

 Saudi forces have carried out multiple attacks against Hodeidah in recent days, trying to help Yemen forces attack the vital aid port. Yet as has often been a problem with Saudi airstrikes in Yemen, their targeting seems haphazard, and as likely to just hit a bus depot full of civilians waiting to evacuate as any combatants.




 Very public incidents of civilian deaths, especially egregious cases of killing children in buses, have meant a lot of patience with the Saudi war has run out. Such incidents are likely to continue to undermine what little international support the war still enjoys.

Saoedi-Arabië woedend over VN rapport waarin de waarheid wordt verteld over S-A en de oorlog in Jemen

De VN bracht afgelopen dinsdag een rapport uit waarin Saoedi-Arabië wordt beschuldigd van oorlogsmisdaden (!!) In het rapport is voorts te lezen dat S-A zich schuldig heeft gemaakt aan het vermoorden van duizenden Jemenieten (meer dan 30.000!!!), plus het verkrachten en martelen van gevangenen……. 




 Uiteraard ontkent de reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië zoals gewoonlijk alle beschuldigingen….. Ook zal het rapport niets uithalen voor de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen waarop S-A bezig is een genocide uit te voeren…… Die 30.000 doden zijn vooral door de strijd gevallen, maar een enorm aantal mensen is intussen overleden door tekorten aan medicijnen, water, voedsel en elektriciteit (de laatste bijvoorbeeld voor ziekenhuizen). Alles het gevolg van de smerige oorlog die S-A met hulp van de VS, GB , de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE), Egypte en Marokko uitvoert in Jemen, aangevuld met de blokkades op land en zee (waar ook de VS controles uitvoert voor Saoedi-Arabië…)…..  




 Zo is er door bombardementen op de infrastructuur al 2 jaar geleden cholera uitgebroken in Jemen, later werd daar de uiterst besmettelijke en gevaarlijke ziekte difterie aan toegevoegd, dit bovenop de honger in Jemen, hongersnood waarvoor Nederland vorig jaar nog een landelijke actie voerde…… Je kan dan ook inderdaad spreken van een genocide, zeker als je ziet dat de Saoedische terreurcoalitie doelbewust ziekenhuizen heeft aangevallen en nog aanvalt…… Zoals een paar maanden geleden een nieuw, nog te openen ziekenhuis van Artsen zonder Grenzen (MSF), speciaal gebouwd om de cholera uitbraak onder controle te krijgen…….* Opvallend, ik zocht op het internet (in het Nederlands) op verschillende manieren met meerdere steekwoorden naar dit bericht: geen berichten van Nederlandse media over dit voorval….. Blijkbaar ziet men MSF ook als een organisatie die ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws) verspreidt……




 Waar halen de machthebbers van Saoedi-Arabië het gore lef vandaan om alles nog eens te ontkennen en te blijven liegen dat Iran meevecht in Jemen, daar is geen flinter bewijs voor, hetzelfde geldt voor wapenleveranties van Iran aan de Houthi rebellen, wel heeft Iran in tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld het westen, een groot aantal humanitaire hulpgoederen gestuurd naar Jemen en zoals je weet: humanitaire goederen bevatten geen ‘blauwe bonen…….’

 (ANTIWAR.COM) — A Tuesday report released by the UN confirmed in considerable detail misdeeds by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, killing thousands of civilians in Yemen, raping and torturing detainees, and using child soldiers. The report warned these may amount to war crimes.




 While they didn’t specifically dispute any of this, Saudi Arabia was predictably furious about the report, angrily condemning it as having “misconstrued the facts of the conflict… ignoring the true reasons for the conflict,” while saying that it was an Iranian coup against the “legitimate government in Yemen.”




 While previous UN resolutions more or less accepted the Saudi narrative that the war is meant to reinstall the Hadi government, that massive death toll and the many, many war crimes committed have fueled a lot of international consternation.




 Still, UN reports detailing war crimes by the Saudi coalition have been met by Saudi condemnation, and in the past that, combined with US support for the war, has been enough to keep the UN from doing anything in particular about the situation. The UN General Assembly has repeatedly acquiesced to demands that the Saudis be allowed to investigate themselves on the war, which has meant probes are rare, and never come up with anything meaningful.

Facebook helpt Saoedi-Arabië: doodstraf door onthoofding van vrouw die het waagde kritiek te uiten…..

Saoedische aanklagers willen dat een sjiitische vrouw, die openlijk kritiek gaf op de reli-fascistische Saoedische dictatuur (deze woorden zou de vrouw niet eens hebben durven gebruiken) wordt onthoofd…… Daarmee zouden deze aanklagers meteen ‘een mooie primeur’ hebben, nooit eerder werd er een vrouw onthoofd in Saoedi-Arabië……
 
 Niet dat de vrouw geweld heeft gebruikt, nee ze gaf alleen kritiek op de Saoedische onderdrukking van sjiieten in S-A……. 




 Naast de vrouw willen deze aanklagers de doodstraf voor nog eens 4 mensen die vreedzaam kritiek hebben geleverd op de Saoedische dictatuur (de hoogste tijd voor een staatsbezoek aan S-A van ons nationale waterhoofd W.A. en zijn pampakoningin Maxima, het koningshuis onderhoudt immers vriendelijke banden met de Saoedische reli-fascistische dictatuur….)




 Om een golf van protest te voorkomen op Facebook, heeft het bedrijf van superschoft Zuckerberg een groot aantal accounts verwijderd van haar platform…… De namen van de accounts werden door privé veiligheidsorganisatie FireEye in de VS doorgegeven aan Facebook…….. FireEye is een bedrijf dat nauw samenwerkt met het Pentagon…….. 
 
 Overigens ligt de sjiitische minderheid in Saoedi-Arabië al jaren onder vuur van de psychopathische top in dat land en dat maar al te vaak letterlijk………


 Facebook verdedigt haar stappen door te stellen dat de de accounts zijn verbonden aan Iran, ofwel Facebook ‘bevecht de invloed van Iran….’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Uiteraard zijn daar totaal geen bewijzen voor, het gaat puur en alleen om kritiek op Saoedi-Arabië van het net te weren, iets dat Facebook ook doet met accounts waar kritiek wordt geleverd op de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël en accounts waar men het opneemt voor het zwaar verdrukte Palestijnse volk…….. 
 
 Het is duidelijk dat deze censuur, die eerder werd ingesteld op sites die ‘pro-Russisch’ zijn, is ingegeven om de huidige inhumane neoliberale status quo te handhaven en mede de reguliere (massa-) media te beschermen als deze voor de zoveelste keer ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws) brengen, of op andere manieren de lezer dusdanig te beïnvloeden dat deze geen vragen meer stelt als bijvoorbeeld de VS of andere partijen die men steunt, hun zoveelste oorlogsmisdaad begaan
 
 Niet alleen Facebook maakt zich schuldig aan deze niet anders dan als censuur aan te duiden maatregelen, ook Twitter, Google en YouTube doen hier aan mee…….




 Ongelofelijk dat men de leugens van de Saoedische slachter bin Salman, ofwel ‘MBS’ gelooft en denkt dat S-A onder zijn leiderschap tot een verlichte dictatuur zal worden omgevormd……




 De VS en de rest van het westen, blijven ondanks alles de Saoedische beesten de hand boven het hoofd houden en laat deze barbaarse dictatuur begaan bij de vreselijkste terreur die je maar kan bedenken: het uitvoeren van een genocide in buurland Jemen, sterker nog de VS (en GB) helpt daar op veel manieren aan mee en zonder de VS zou S-A niet eens in Jemen zitten….. 
 
 En maar kankeren op Iran als de grote terreur sponsor en verspreider, terwijl van alle grote terreuraanslagen bekend is dat zij werden voorbereid en gefinancierd door figuren in Saoedi-Arabië, waar de daders niet zelden zelfs Saoediërs zijn……… Erger: Saoedi Arabië heeft aan de wieg gestaan van IS en financierde de terreurgroepen in Syrië, groepen die ongelofelijke terreur uitoefenden op de bevolking daar en die door het westen liefkozend ‘gematigde rebellen’ worden genoemd……

 (GPA) — Saudi prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a 29-year-old woman activist for crimes such as chanting slogans at a protest. Beheading a woman is unprecedented in the kingdom. Meanwhile, Facebook has sprung into action to protect Riyadh’s back by initiating a crackdown on hundreds of accounts posting anti-Saudi content.

 Saudis Seek First Death by the Sword for Woman Activist




 One of these activists includes a woman named Israa al-Ghomgham who was arrested three years ago. Although Saudi Arabia has killed or injured several thousand women in neighboring Yemen, beheading a female is completely unprecedented inside the Kingdom thus far.




 All of the activists reportedly took part in protests in Saudi Arabia’s town of Qatif — a heavily Shia Muslim region frequently under siege from Wahhabi Saudi forces.




 Saudi rulers consider all citizens who do not adhere to their distorted and intolerant version of Islam, Wahhabism, as polytheists and non-believers. Saudi textbooks in schools contain content with the intention of inflaming hatred for Shia Muslims. This hatred overflows into their foreign policy and military strategies as well.




 Ghomgham and the other four activists face charges such as chanting slogans, attempting to inflame public opinion, and providing moral support to protestors. Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have reportedly both spoke out on Ghomgham’s behalf. Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland also took the opportunity to strike back at the Kingdom’s recent arrests.




 These arrests are part of a broader trend under Mohammed bin Salman’s rule to arrest all activists, clerics, intellectuals, and journalists that speak out against the regime.




 Although all of the recent arrests were Shia Muslim, Riyadh also cracked down on Sunni Muslim pro-democracy activists last month. In mid-July, Saudi authorities raided the home of Sheikh Safar Al-Hawali: a 68-year-old scholar who had just published a book critical of the Saudi regime’s policies. Hawali was arrested and his current fate is unclear.

 Facebook has Riyadh’s Back in the Public Relations Department


 Just as news broke about five activists, Facebook initiated a crackdown on anti-Saudi accounts — which also made headlines.




 In fact, it appears that the Saudi regime and their Western counterparts in the United States have adopted the “Russian interference” hysteria as a strategy in their soft war against Iran. Facebook announced on Tuesday that it had removed 652 accounts which it claimed were promoting anti-Saudi, anti-Israel, and pro-Palestinian themes.




 In addition to Facebook’s sweep, Twitter deleted nearly 300 accounts while Google and YouTube also deleted at least one. Facebook claims these accounts originated inside Iran from Tehran’s government itself — just like the hyper-inflated “Russian misinformation” campaign.




 A private cybersecurity firm called FireEye tipped Facebook, Twitter, and Google off to the alleged accounts. The CEO of FireEye, Kevin Mandiant, is a former US Air Force officer with an extensive background in cyber espionage.




 It’s very convenient for Riyadh that FireEye informed the tech companies about these alleged misinformation accounts on the very same day the news broke about Saudi plans to behead five new activists — and their first woman nonetheless.




 And with FireEye’s ties to the US military, this is not surprising at all.

 Saudi Reforms: Trying Non-Violent Activists in a Secret Court


 According to Human Rights Watch, the activists will face trial in a secret setting known as the Specialized Criminal Court (SCC): a tribunal designed seemingly specifically for activists speaking out against the regime. Of course, anyone who condemns the regime Riyadh considers a terrorist — both at home and abroad.




 Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Salman is portrayed in the media as a poster child for liberal reforms. Although the neoliberals seem more focused on the privatization aspects and less on the oppressed populations in the Kingdom at abroad.




 The continuation of arrests shows that Saudi Arabia will dole human rights out as gifts (like women driving) from the regime — rights will certainly not be earned through grassroots movements.




 All the while, private security firms will partner with Facebook and other tech companies to crack down on these activists and others online.
