James Clapper voormalig directeur National Intelligence en John Brennan, voormalig CIA directeur hebben het congres en de senaat bespioneerd in de strijd tegen klokkenluiders, zo blijkt uit een door John Kiriakou geschreven artikel, eerder gepubliceerd op ConsortiumNews……..
De twee verklaarden een paar documenten geheim >> 2 zogenaamde congressional notifications*, documenten die deze spionage aantoonden, waardoor er geen vervolging kon worden ingesteld, in een zaak die ook in de VS als misdaad wordt gezien…… Clapper en Brennan werkten samen en deden e.e.a. om achter de namen van eventuele klokkenluiders te komen…….
De republikeinse senator Chuck Grassley heeft al eerder gevraagd om openbaarmaking van de stukken, die uiteraard niets bevatten wat geheim moet worden gehouden, maar die wel aangeven dat de 2 vervolgd moeten worden en gevangen moeten worden gezet…. Aanvankelijk lukte het niet om deze documenten vrij te krijgen in de laatste 2 jaar van de Obama administratie, maar nadat de mensen van Obama waren vervangen door republikeinen, lukte het wel deze documenten boven tafel te krijgen.

 De spionage bestond er uit dat men de commissies die de inlichtingendiensten controleren in de senaat hackte om zo achter de namen van eventuele klokkenluiders te kunnen komen, ofwel men heeft ingebroken op het email systeem van de senaat………
Zo zie je ten overvloede nog eens hoe corrumperend en criminaliserend het werk van geheime diensten als de CIA in werkelijkheid is en dat de macht die deze diensten hebben, totaal onterecht is…..
Het voorgaande geldt ook voor ons land, met het hijgerig wijzen op islam terroristen krijgen de geheime diensten steeds meer macht en middelen, terwijl men een echte aanslag niet eens weet te voorkomen, zelfs niet als men één of meerdere daders in het vizier had…….. (dat geldt ook voor de inlichtingendiensten elders) Afgelopen week werd bekend gemaakt dat de
Daarover gesproken: enige tijd geleden werden een aantal mannen opgepakt in Nederland voor het beramen van een aanslag, het was echter snel na dit bericht stil en ben benieuwd hoe het er met die zaak voor staat……. Immers eerder werden dergelijke zaken met veel tamtam gebracht, waar later bleek dat men een bok had geschoten en verdachten vrijgelaten moesten worden….. Het geval met de Russen die het OPCW gebouw zouden hebben willen hacken, is van een zo ongeloofwaardig niveau dat ik er niet eens op in ga………

James Clapper and John Brennan Should Not Escape Prosecution

Recently declassified documents show that the former CIA director and former director of national intelligence approved illegal spying on Congress and then classified their crime. They need to face punishment, writes John Kiriakou.
(CN Opinion) — Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa made a dramatic announcement this month that almost nobody in America paid any attention to. Grassley released a statement saying that four years ago, he asked the Intelligence Community Inspector General to release two “Congressional Notifications” written by former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
Grassley had had his requests to declassify the documents ignored repeatedly throughout the last two years of the Obama administration. He decided to try again because all of the Obama people at the CIA and DNI are gone now. This time, his request was approved.
So what was the information that was finally declassified? It was written confirmation that John Brennan ordered CIA hackers to intercept the emails of all potential or possible intelligence community whistleblowers who may have been trying to contact the Congressional oversight committees, specifically to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Simply put, Brennan ordered his people to hack into the Senate email system—again. Grassley is the longtime chairman of Judiciary Committee, and he was understandably appalled.
First, let me explain what a Congressional Notification is. The CIA is required by law to inform the Congressional oversight committees whenever one of its officers, agents, or administrators breaks the law, when an operation requires Congressional approval because it is a “covert action” program, or whenever something happens at the CIA that’s potentially controversial and the Agency wants to save itself the embarrassment of explaining itself to Congress later.
Brennan apparently ordered his officers to spy on the Senate. Remember, back in 2014 his officers spied on Intelligence Community investigators while they were writing the Senate Torture Report. This time, he decided to inform Congress.
But Brennan and Clapper classified the notification. It was like a taunt. “Sure, I’m spying on Congress, which is illegal. But it’s classified, so what are you going to do about it?”
Grassley went through the proper channels. And even though Brennan and Clapper essentially gave him the middle finger, he didn’t say anything until the documents were finally declassified. He’s a bigger man than I.
I think Grassley missed an opportunity here, though.
First, it’s my own opinion that John Brennan belongs in prison. He has flouted U.S. national security laws with impunity for years. That’s unacceptable. In these declassified notifications, he’s confessing to hacking into the Senate’s computer system. That’s a violation of a whole host of laws, from illegal use of a government computer to wire fraud to espionage. There ought to be a price to pay for it, especially in light of the fact that Brennan was the leading force behind the prosecutions of eight national security whistleblowers during the Obama administration, almost three times the number of whistleblowers charged under the Espionage Act by all previous presidents combined.
Second, it’s a crime, a felony, to overclassify government information. Most Americans have no idea that that’s the case. Of course, nobody has ever been charged with it. But it’s a serious problem, and it’s antithetical to transparency. The CIA Inspector General said of the notifications, “I could see no reason to withhold declassification of these documents. They contained no information that could be construed as sources and methods.” That’s an admission that the notifications were improperly classified in the first place.
Grassley added, “There is a strong public interest in (the notifications’s) content. I do not believe they need to be classified at all, and they should be released in their entirety.”
Grassley went so far as to call out Brennan and Clapper by name. “What sources or methods would be jeopardized by the declassification of these notifications? After four-and-a-half years of bureaucratic foot-dragging, led by Brennan and Clapper, we finally have the answer: None.”
So why weren’t they declassified four years ago? Remember, it’s illegal to classify a crime. And it’s illegal to classify something solely for the purpose of preventing embarrassment to the CIA. Yet those were the very reasons for classifying the documents in the first place. It was because Brennan and Clapper think they’re somehow special cases. (Recall that it was Clapper who lied directly to the Senate Intelligence Committee about intercepting the communications of American citizens. He also did that with impunity.)
Brennan and Clapper think the law doesn’t apply to them. But it does. Without the rule of law, we have chaos in our country. The law has to apply equally to all Americans. Brennan and Clapper need to learn that lesson the hard way. They broke the law. They ought to be prosecuted for it.
John Kiriakou is a former CIA counterterrorism officer and a former senior investigator with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. John became the sixth whistleblower indicted by the Obama administration under the Espionage Act—a law designed to punish spies. He served 23 months in prison as a result of his attempts to oppose the Bush administration’s torture program.

John C. O’Day publiceerde vorige week vrijdag een artikel op Fair.org dat ik overnam van Anti-Media (en dat je onder mijn schrijven terug kan vinden). Hierin vestigt O’Day de aandacht op de Iran-deal van een paar jaar geleden, deze deal of: the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), werd destijds bediscussieerd in de reguliere (massa-) media, waar men stelde dat Iran ofwel deze deal moest slikken, daar anders alleen oorlog met Iran zou overblijven als alternatief………

De voorspelling dat oorlog het enige alternatief zou zijn, werd door de Trump administratie gevolgd, door de deal alsnog af te blazen en met enorme anti-Iran propaganda te beweren dat Iran zich niet aan de deal houdt, ook al zeggen alle VN wapeninspecties dat Iran inderdaad is gestopt met de verrijking van uranium en is begonnen met het ontmantelen van de daarvoor benodigde centrifuges.

Bolton, de oorlogshitser en oorlogsmisdadiger (die voor het leven gevangen zou moeten zitten in Scheveningen) beweerde dat wanneer Iran de boel zou belazeren, het land te maken zou krijgen met ‘de woede van de VS’, ofwel met grootscheepse terreur in de vorm van één van de zwaarste oorlogsmisdaden, het beginnen van alweer een illegale oorlog door deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…………

Een belachelijke uitlating van Bolton daar de VS zonder enig bewijs en in tegenspraak met officiële VN rapporten toch al stelt dat Iran vals speelt, m.a.w.: de reden voor de VS om een (illegale) oorlog tegen Iran te beginnen, is door de VS zelf gecreëerd…….. (iets waar de VS ‘goed in is’, neem alle false flag operaties van deze terreurenteit)
O’Day stelt dat de woorden van figuren als Bolton en Trump nog amper op kritiek kunnen rekenen in de VS, wat volgens hem het gevolg is van de berichtgeving in de reguliere media……. O’Day noemt een groot aantal voorbeelden en stelt dan ook dat de Trump administratie die media volgt, echter daar ben ik het niet mee eens. O’Day vergeet het begrip Deep State, de werkelijke machthebbers, die al helemaal niet blij waren met de Iran-deal. Deze Deep State beheerst ook de massamedia en zijn derhalve verantwoordelijk voor wat die media brengen aan (nep-) nieuws, leugens en pure propaganda (waarbij Goebbels z’n gore vingers zou aflikken….)

Ondanks dat een groot deel van die media in onmin leven met Trump, staan ze volkomen achter de terreur die de VS verspreidt over het Midden-Oosten, Latijns-Amerika en Afrika……. Vergeet daarnaast niet dat het in feite niet uitmaakt wie er regeert in de VS, al helemaal niet wat betreft de buitenlandpolitiek, neem ‘vredesduif’ Obama die als eerste VS president de volle 2 termijnen in (illegale) oorlogen was verwikkeld met meerdere landen en er zelf (officieel) 2 begon….

Trump Administration Follows Corporate Media Playbook for War With Iran

(FAIR.org) — Three years ago, as Americans debated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran—popularly known as “the Iran deal”—I highlighted a troubling media trend on FAIR.org (8/20/15): “For nearly all commentators, regardless of their position, war is the only alternative to that position.”
In the months since US President Donald Trump tore up the JCPOA agreement, his administration has been trying to make good on corporate media’s collective prediction. Last week, John Bolton (BBC, 9/26/18), Trump’s national security advisor and chief warmonger, told Iran’s leaders and the world that there would be “hell to pay” if they dare to “cross us.”

That Bolton’s bellicose statements do not send shockwaves of pure horror across a debt-strapped and war-weary United States is thanks in large part to incessant priming for war, facilitated by corporate media across the entire political spectrum, with a particular focus on Iran.
Back in 2015, while current “resistance” stalwarts like the Washington Post (4/2/15)
and Politico (8/11/15) warned us that war with Iran was the most likely alternative to the JCPOA, conservative standard-bearers such as Fox News (7/14/15) and the Washington Times (8/10/15) foretold that war with Iran was the agreement’s most likely outcome. Three years hence, this dynamic has not changed.

To experience the full menu of US media’s single-mindedness about Iran, one need only buy a subscription to the New York Times. After Trump withdrew from the JCPOA, the Times’ editorial board (5/8/18) wrote that his move would “lay conditions for a possible wider war in the Middle East.” Susan Rice (New York Times, 5/8/18), President Barack Obama’s national security advisor, agreed: “We could face the choice of going to war or acquiescing to a nuclear-armed Iran,” she warned. Cartoonist Patrick Chappatte (New York Times, 5/10/18) was characteristically more direct, penning an image of Trump alongside Bolton, holding a fictitious new agreement featuring the singular, ultimate word: “WAR.”
On the other hand, calling Trump’s turn against JCPOA a “courageous decision,” Times columnist Bret Stephens (5/8/18) explained that the move was meant to force the Iranian government to make a choice: Either accede to US demands or “pursue their nuclear ambitions at the cost of economic ruin and possible war.” (Hardly courageous, when we all know there is no chance that Trump or Stephens would enlist should war materialize.)
Trump’s latest antics at the United Nations have spurred a wave of similar reaction across corporate media. Describing his threat to “totally destroy North Korea” at the UN General Assembly last year as “pointed and sharp,” Fox News anchor Eric Shawn (9/23/18) asked Bill Richardson, an Obama ally and President Bill Clinton’s ambassador to the UN, whether Trump would take the same approach toward Iran. “That aggressive policy we have with Iran is going to continue,” Richardson reassured the audience, “and I don’t think Iran is helping themselves.” In other words, if the United States starts a war with Iran, it’s totally Iran’s fault.
Politico (9/23/18), meanwhile, reported that Trump “is risking a potential war with Iran unless he engages the Islamist-led country using diplomacy.” In other words, if the United States starts a war with Iran, it’s totally Trump’s fault. Rice (New York Times, 9/26/18) reiterated her view that Trump’s rhetoric “presages the prospect of war in the Persian Gulf.” Whoever would be the responsible party is up for debate, but that war is in our future is apparently all but certain.
Politico’s article cited a statement signed by such esteemed US experts on war-making as Madeleine Albright, who presided over Clinton’s inhuman sanctions against Iraq in the ’90s, and Ryan Crocker, former ambassador for presidents George W. Bush and Obama to some of America’s favorite killing fields: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. James Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, who also signed the letter, played an important role in trumping up WMD evidence against Saddam Hussein before the United States invaded Iraq in 2003. When it comes to US aggression, they’re the experts.
Vanity Fair (9/26/18) interviewed John Glaser of the Cato Institute, who called Trump’s strategy “pathetic,” and also warned that it forebodes war. In an effort to “one-up Obama,” Glaser explained, Trump’s plan is “to apply extreme economic pressure and explicit threats of war in order to get Iran to capitulate.” Sound familiar? As Glaser implies, this was exactly Obama’s strategy, only then it wasn’t seen as “pathetic,” but rather reasonable, and the sole means for preventing the war that every US pundit and politician saw around the corner (The Hill, 8/9/15).
When everyone decides that war is the only other possibility, it starts to look like an inevitability. But even when they aren’t overtly stoking war fever against Iran, corporate media prime the militaristic pump in more subtle yet equally disturbing ways.

First among these is the near-complete erasure of Iranian voices from US airwaves (FAIR.org, 7/24/15). Rather than ask Iranians directly, national outlets like CNN (9/29/18) prefer to invite the prime minister of Israel, serial Iran alarmist and regional pariah Benjamin Netanyahu, to speak for them. During a jovial discussion this weekend over whether regime change and/or economic collapse is Iran’s most likely fate, Netanyahu explained to the audience that, either way,
“The ones who will be happiest if that happens are the people of Iran.” No people of Iran were on hand to confirm or deny this assessment.
Bloomberg (9/30/18) similarly wanted to know, “What’s not to like about Trump’s Iran oil sanctions?” Julian Lee gleefully reported that “they are crippling exports from the Islamic Republic, at minimal cost to the US.” One might think the toll sanctions take on innocent Iranians would be something not to like, but Bloomberg merely worried that, notwithstanding the windfall for US refineries, “oil at $100 a barrel would be bad news for drivers everywhere—including those in the US.”
Another prized tactic is to whitewash Saudi Arabia, Iran’s chief geopolitical rival, whose genocidal destruction of Yemen is made possible by the United States, about which corporate media remain overwhelmingly silent (FAIR.org, 7/23/18). Iran’s involvement in Yemen, which both Trump and the New York Times (9/12/18) describe as “malign behavior,” is a principal justification for US support of Saudi Arabia, including the US-supplied bombs that recently ended the brief lives of over 40 Yemeni schoolchildren. Lockheed Martin’s stock is up 34 percentfrom Trump’s inauguration day.
Corporate media go beyond a simple coverup of Saudi crimes to evangelize their leadership as the liberal antidote to Iran’s “theocracy.” Who can forget Thomas Friedman’s revolting puff piece for the Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman? Extensively quoting Salman (New York Times, 11/23/17), who refers to Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as “the new Hitler of the Middle East,” Friedman nevertheless remains pessimistic about whether “MBS and his team” can see their stand against Iran through, as “dysfunction and rivalries within the Sunni Arab world generally have prevented forming a unified front.” Oh well, every team needs cheerleaders, and Friedman isn’t just a fair-weather fan.
While Friedman (New York Times, 5/15/18) believes that Trump has drawn “some needed attention to Iran’s bad behavior,” for him pivotal questions remain unanswered, such as “who is going to take over in Tehran if the current Islamic regime collapses?” One immediate fix he proposed was to censure Iran’s metaphorical “occupation” of Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. Isn’t this ironic coming from an unapologetic propagandist for Washington’s decades-long, non-metaphorical occupation of the two countries to the east and west of Iran (FAIR.org, 12/9/15)?
In a surprising break from corporate media convention, USA Today (9/26/18) published a column on US/Iran relations written by an actual Iranian. Reflecting on the CIA-orchestrated coup against Iran’s elected government in 1953, Azadeh Shahshahani, who was born four days after the 1979 revolution there, wrote:

 “I often wonder what would have happened if that coup had not worked, if [Prime Minister] Mosaddeq had been allowed to govern, if democracy had been allowed to flourish.”
“It is time for the US government to stop intervening in Iran and let the Iranian people determine their own destiny,” she beseeched readers.

Shahshahani’s call is supported by some who have rejected corporate media’s war propaganda and have gone to extreme lengths to have their perspectives heard. Anti-war activist and Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin was recently forcibly removed after she upstaged Brian Hook, leader of Trump’s Iran Action Group, on live TV, calling his press conference “the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen” (Real News, 9/21/18). Benjamin implored the audience: “Let’s talk about Saudi Arabia. Is that who our allies are?”
“How dare you bring up the issue of Yemen,” admonished Benjamin as she was dragged from the room. “It’s the Saudi bombing that is killing most people in Yemen. So let’s get real. No more war! Peace with Iran!” Code Pink is currently petitioning the New York Times and Washington Post to stop propagandizing war.
Sadly, no matter whom you ask in corporate media, be they spokespeople for “Trump’s America” or “the resistance,” peace remains an elusive choice in the US political imagination. And while the public was focused last week on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s perjurious testimony, the Senate finalized a $674 billion “defense” budget. Every single Democrat in the chamber voted in favor of the bill, explicitly naming Iran as persona non grata in the United States’ world-leading arms supply network, which has seen a 25 percent increase in exports since Obama took office in 2009.
The US government’s imperial ambitions are perhaps its only truly bipartisan project—what the New York Times euphemistically refers to as “globalism.” Nowhere was this on fuller display than at the funeral for Republican Sen. John McCain (FAIR.org, 9/11/18), where politicians of all stripes were tripping over themselves to produce the best accolades for a man who infamously sang“bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” to the tune of a Beach Boys song.
McCain’s bloodlust was nothing new. Nearly a hundred years ago, after the West’s imperial competition culminated in the most destructive war the world had ever seen, the brilliant American sociologist and anti-colonial author WEB Du Bois wrote, “This is not Europe gone mad; this is not aberration nor insanity; this is Europe.”
Iranian leaders have repeatedly said they do not want war with the US (AP, 9/27/18), but US corporate media, despite frequently characterizing Trump as a “mad king” (FAIR.org, 6/13/18), continue to play an instrumental role in rationalizing a future war with Iran. Should such an intentional catastrophe come to pass, we can hardly say that this would be America gone mad; war is not aberration, it is always presented as the next sane choice. This is America.

Tyler Durden publiceerde vorige week zaterdag een artikel op Zero Hedge over ‘Russia-gate’, althans hoe men de operatie van de FBI inkleedde om een oud medewerker van die dienst, gevangen gehouden in Iran, vrij te krijgen……

Daarvoor heeft de FBI de Russische oligarch Oleg Deripaska, een figuur die in nauw contact staat met Putin, in de arm genomen en hem gevraagd 25 miljoen dollar beschikbaar te stellen om de oud-FBI agent Robert Levinson vrij te krijgen. Levinson werkte voor de CIA toen hij in 2007 werd gearresteerd in Iran…..
Deripaska, waarvan wordt gezegd dat hij fungeerde als contact tussen Trump en Putin via de voormalige Rusland ‘connector’ Paul Manafort, stelt dat hij van 2009 tot de presidentsverkiezingen van 2016 samenwerkte met de VS regering….
Uiteindelijk ging de operatie niet door daar buitenlandse zaken o.l.v. Hillary Clinton zich haastig terugtrok uit de deal met Iran die erop gericht was Levinson vrij te krijgen…..

Russian Oligarch And Putin Pal Admits To Collusion, Secret Meetings

Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, has gone on record with The Hill‘s John Solomon – admitting to colluding with Americans leading up to the 2016 US election, except it might not be what you’re thinking.
Deripaska, rumored to be Donald Trump’s “back channel” to Putin via the Russian’s former association with Paul Manafort, says he “colluded” with the US Government between 2009 and 2016.
In 2009, when Robert Mueller was running the FBI, the agency asked Deripaska to spend $25 million of his own money to bankroll an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent – Robert Levinson, who was kidnapped in 2007 while working on a 2007 CIA contract in Iran. This in and of itself is more than a bit strange.
Deripaska agreed, however the Obama State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton, scuttled a last-minute deal with Iran before Levinson could be released. He hasn’t been heard from since.

FBI agents courted Deripaska in 2009 in a series of secret hotel meetings in Paris; Vienna; Budapest, Hungary, and Washington. Agents persuaded the aluminum industry magnate to underwrite the mission. The Russian billionaire insisted the operation neither involve nor harm his homeland. -The Hill

In other words – Trump’s alleged “back channel” to Putin was in fact an FBI asset who spent $25 million helping Obama’s “scandal free” administration find a kidnapped agent. Deripaska’s admitted

 As the New York Times frames it, distancing Deripaska from the FBI (no mention of the $25 million rescue effort, for example), the Russian aluminum magnate was just one of several Putin-linked Oligarchs the FBI tried to flip.

The attempt to flip Mr. Deripaska was part of a broader, clandestine American effort to gauge the possibility of gaining cooperation from roughly a half-dozen of Russia’s richest men, nearly all of whom, like Mr. Deripaska, depend on President Vladimir V. Putin to maintain their wealth, the officials said. –NYT

Central to the recruiting effort were two central players in the Trump-Russia investigation; twice-demoted DOJ #4 official Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele – the author of the largely unverified “Steele Dossier.”
Steele, a longtime associate of Ohr’s, worked for Deripaska beginning in 2012 researching a business rival – work which would evolve to the point where the former British spy was interfacing with the Obama administration on his behalf – resulting in Deripaska regaining entry into the United States, where he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017.

The State Department tried to keep him from getting a U.S. visa between 2006 and 2009 because they believed he had unspecified connections to criminal elements in Russia as he consolidated power in the aluminum industry. Deripaska has denied those allegations…

Whatever the case, it is irrefutable that after he began helping the FBI, Deripaska regained entry to the United States. And he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017, visa entry records show. –The Hill

Deripaska is now banned from the United States as one of several Russians sanctioned in April in response to alleged 2016 election meddling.
In a September 2016 meeting, Deripaska told FBI agents that it was “preposterous” that Paul Manafort was colluding with Russia to help Trump win the 2016 election. This, despite the fact that Deripaska and Manafort’s business relationship “ended in lawsuits”, per The Hill – and the Russian would have every reason to throw Manafort under the bus if he wanted some revenge on his old associate.
So the FBI and DOJ secretly collaborated with Trump’s alleged backchannel over a seven-year period, starting with Levinson, then on Deripaska’s Visa, and finally regarding whether Paul Manafort was an intermediary to Putin. Deripaska vehemently denies the assertion, and even took out newspaper advertisements in the US last year volunteering to testify to Congress, refuting an AP report that he and Manafort secretly worked on a plan to “greatly benefit the Putin government” a decade ago.

Soon after the advertisements ran, representatives for the House and Senate Intelligence Committees called a Washington-based lawyer for Mr. Deripaska, Adam Waldman, inquiring about taking his client up on the offer to testify, Mr. Waldman said in an interview.

What happened after that has been in dispute. Mr. Waldman, who stopped working for Mr. Deripaska after the sanctions were levied, said he told the committee staff that his client would be willing to testify without any grant of immunity, but would not testify about any Russian collusion with the Trump campaign because “he doesn’t know anything about that theory and actually doesn’t believe it occurred.” –NYT

In short, Deripaska wants it known that he worked with the FBI and DOJ, and that he had nothing to do with the Steele dossier.

Today, Deripaska is banned anew from the United States, one of several Russians sanctioned in April by the Trump administration as a way to punish Putin for 2016 election meddling. But he wants to be clear about a few things, according to a statement provided by his team. First, he did collude with Americans in the form of voluntarily assisting and meeting with the FBI, the DOJ and people such as Ohr between 2009 and 2016.

He also wants Americans to know he did not cooperate or assist with Steele’s dossier, and he tried to dispel the FBI notion that Russia and the Trump campaign colluded during the 2016 election. –The Hill

Interestingly, Steele’s dossier which was partially funded by the Clinton campaign, relied on senior Kremlin officials.
It would be most helpful if the Department of Justice could please investigate and then prosecute themselves and/or members of the previous administration, so that journalists like John Solomon, Sara Carter, Luke Rosiak, Chuck Ross and others don’t have to continue to break stories that are seemingly ignored by all but a handful of Congressional investigators.

Afgelopen dinsdagmorgen was Peter Wijninga, een plork van het Haags Centrum voor Strategische Studies (ha! ha! ha!) ofwel het HCSS te horen op BNR (rond 8.26 u.).

Wijninga werd gevraagd over het belachelijke hoge VS budget voor defensie uh oorlogsvoering en andere terreur, door Wijninga uiteraard aangeduid als ‘defensie’.

Beste bezoeker, je snapt ‘t al: uiteraard is het bedrag dat Trump uittrok wel erg veel, maar daar moet de VS dan ook haar troepen in het buitenland mee betalen, zo merkte Wijninga op; je weet wel de troepen die in illegale oorlogen ‘voor onze veiligheid’ grootschalige terreur uitoefenen…… Illegale oorlogen die juist het tegenovergestelde bereiken, gezien de terreur op de straten van de EU en de enorme ellende in de landen die in puin werden en worden gegooid door de VS en haar oorlogshond de NAVO (dus terreur mede uitgeoefend middels ons belastinggeld, westerse terreur die weer nieuwe terreur creëert in de landen waar het westen tekeerging en zoals gezegd: terreur op de EU straten..)……

De VS heeft veel troepen buiten haar grondgebied aldus Wijninga, die maar niet het enorme aantal militaire VS bases over de wereld noemde >> meer dan 800 ‘maar liefst…’ Dat brengt ook een sociale kosten met zich mee aldus wijsneus Wijninga, die ook betaald moeten worden…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja en de veteranen die deze smerige oorlogen hebben uitgevoerd laat de VS al decennia lang barsten!!

De andere NAVO landen moeten wel duidelijk meer bijdragen, zo zwatelde Wijninga, alsof Duitsland, Frankrijk, Groot-Brittannië en Italië alleen al niet meer dan 3 keer zoveel uitgeven aan oorlogsvoering dan Rusland aan defensie…. Kijk daar zal je Wijninga of zijn baas de Wijk niet over horen…. Trouwens die de Wijk is tegenwoordig ook de wederhelft van een totaal mislukt ‘komisch duo’ op BNR, met VVD oppersukkel Boekestijn.

Overigens worden die illegale oorlogen niet gevoerd om democratie te brengen, of onze veiligheid te garanderen, maar puur uit winstbejag (terwijl die oorlogen enorme aantallen mensenlevens en een godsvermogen aan belastinggeld kosten) en belangenbehartiging voor het westen, ofwel het veiligstellen van strategische gelegen landen en de grote olie en/of gas voorraden in de bodem van die of van andere landen……

We kunnen niet zonder de atoomparaplu van de VS, aldus Wijninga, die vervolgde met te zeggen dat Frankrijk en Groot-Brittannië (beiden ‘kernwapenstaten’) te weinig kernwapens hebben….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Nee, GB en Frankrijk kunnen de wereld ‘maar’ een keer of tien vernietigen, dat is natuurlijk niks vergeleken bij de VS, Rusland en China………

Wijninga moest nog even kwijt dat Obama heeft bezuinigd op defensie (aan z’n stem te horen vond hij dat wel een gepast punt van kritiek)….. In werkelijkheid is Obama de eerste VS president die maar liefst 2 termijnen lang in illegale oorlogen was verwikkeld, waar hij er zelf 2 van begon en een derde heeft uitgelokt. De 2 illegale oorlogen werden tegen Libië en Syrië gevoerd, waar die tegen Syrië nog steeds voortduurt en Libië in een vreselijke chaos is gestort….

Voorts kocht de minister van BuZa onder Obama, hare kwaadaardigheid Hillary Clinton met 4 miljard dollar een opstand en staatsgreep tegen de democratisch gekozen president van Oekraïne, Janoekovytsj, waarna ze de neonazi-junta van de uiterst corrupte Porosjenko installeerde als ‘wettig gezag…..’ Deze neonazi-junta begon vervolgens een oorlog tegen de bevolking in het oosten van het land, mensen die tegen de coup zijn die werd gepleegd tegen de door hen democratisch gekozen president Janoekovytsj……. Kijk dat is allemaal onder de verantwoording van de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede winnaar Obama gebeurd, waar deze, samen met Clinton, tot hun kin in het bloed van al de slachtoffers staan…..

Ach ja, Wijninga vindt als toplobbyist van het militair-industrieel complex natuurlijk dat er veel meer oorlog gevoerd moet worden…… En dan durft deze knurft te zeggen dat de VS en de NAVO er zijn voor onze veiligheid….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Het HCSS is dan ook niets anders dan een ordinaire lobbyclub voor de VS, de NAVO en het militair-industrieel complex, gericht op het bewaren van de zogenaamde pax-Americana die in werkelijkheid niets anders is dan één lange illegale oorlogsvoering t.b.v. van het Vierde Rijk, de VS….. Waarmee tegelijk de ijskoude, inhumane neoliberale status quo kan worden gehandhaafd…. CounterPunch bracht afgelopen vrijdag een door Paul Street geschreven artikel over Jemen en het verschil in verontwaardiging en ondernomen acties tegen het scheiden van vluchtelingen en hun kinderen door de VS overheid…. Kinderen die families meenamen op hun vlucht voor een in een groot aantal gevallen geweld dat op de één of andere manier is verbonden met de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde >> de VS…. Dit afgezet tegen de ontbrekende aandacht voor het grote aantal kinderen dat al is omgekomen bij de door de VS en GB gesteunde genocide van de Saoedische coalitie op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen……..

Ongelofelijk dat men wel terecht flink pissig wordt over het afnemen van kinderen van hun ouders door de overheid van de VS, die deze kinderen heeft ontvoerd; terwijl men wegkijkt van een genocide aan de andere kant van de aarde, waar NB de VS meehelpt aan en de regie voert over een genocide, die volgens Save the Children alleen in 2017 al naar schatting aan zo’n 50.000 kinderen het leven moet hebben gekost…….. (ofwel vermoord door de Saoedische coalitie, de VS en Groot-Brittannië, de laatste heeft als de VS ook een fikse steen bijgedragen aan de massamoord in Jemen….)

Overigens schunnig ook dat de EU en Nederland nog steeds goede banden onderhouden met de (terroristische) reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië, om als Nederlander je ogen voor uit je hoofd te schamen……

No Liberal Rallies Yet for the Children of Yemen

Hundreds of thousands of people showed up across the United States at more than 600 gatherings three weeks ago. They came out to protest Donald Trump‘s “zero tolerance” immigration policy in highly choreographed, Democratic Party-affiliated “Families Belong Together” rallies and marches. Liberal celebrities marched and spoke. Local, state, and federal Democratic Party politicians and office-holders gave passionate speeches denouncing Trump’s separation of Central American migrant children from their parents at the southern U.S. border.
Marchers carried signs expressing their concern for children and families. Here are some of the messages written on the posters displayed at these gatherings:
“We care”
“I Raise my Voice Not so I can Shout but So that Those Without a Voice Can be Heard”
“Do All Lives Still Matter?”
“What Would Mr. Rogers Say?”
“Compassion”
(The issue that sparked this remarkable outpouring has already been pushed off the front pages and the cable news headlines by the resurgent RussiaGate story, brought to new intensity by Trump’s “spectacular debacle” alongside Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. It is a victim of the all-powerful “now we see you, now we don’t” U.S. news cycle – this even as nearly two-thirds of the migrant children criminally separated have yet to be reunited with their parents and as evidence emerges that the Trump administration intended for the family separations to be permanent.)

“Emaciated Babies”: 50,000 Yemeni Children May Have Died in 2017
We have yet to learn of any large and widespread U.S. demonstrations on behalf of the children and families of Yemen, where the U.S. is deeply complicit in the creation of a situation that “looks,” in the words of the United Nations’ humanitarian chief, “like the Apocalypse.” UNICEF reported last year that a child dies from preventable causes on the average of once every 10 minutes in Yemen.
As the Associated Press (AP) reported last May, roughly 3 million Yemeni women and children are “acutely malnourished; another 400,000 children are fighting for their lives.” Further:

“Nearly a third of Yemen’s population — 8.4 million of its 29 million people — rely completely on food aid or else they would starve. That number grew by a quarter over the past year…Aid agencies warn that parts of Yemen could soon start to see widespread death from famine. More and more people are reliant on aid that is already failing to reach people. …It is unknown how many have died, since authorities are not able to track cases. Save the Children late last year estimated that 50,000 children may have died in 2017 of extreme hunger or disease (emphasis added), given that up to 30 percent of children with untreated cases of severe acute malnutrition die.”

The AP told the heartbreaking story of Umm Mizrah and her children, tragic drops in the bucket of what could become one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes of the last half-century:

“The young mother stepped onto the scale for the doctor. Even with all her black robes on, she weighed only 84 pounds …The doctor’s office is covered with dozens of pictures of emaciated babies who have come through Al-Sadaqa Hospital in Aden …Mothers like Umm Mizrah…skip meals, sleep to escape the gnawing in their stomachs. They hide bony faces and emaciated bodies in voluminous black abaya robes and veils…The doctor asked the mother to get back on the scale holding her son, Mizrah. At 17 months, he was 5.8 kilograms (12.8 pounds) — around half the normal weight for his age. He showed all the signs of ‘severe acute malnutrition,’ the most dire stage of hunger. His legs and feet were swollen, he wasn’t getting enough protein. When the doctor pressed a finger into the skin of his feet, the indentation lingered.”

Things have gotten worse in the last two and half months. According to Lisa Grande, head of the UN humanitarian effort in Yemen, “8.5 million people that we describe as being pre-famine… when they wake up in the morning, they have no idea if they will eat that day…by the end of this year, another 10 million Yemenis will be in that situation.”
Two and a half weeks ago, special PBS correspondent Jane Ferguson related the plight of Maimona Shaghadar, who “suffers the agony of starvation in silence. No longer able to walk or talk, at 11 years old, little Maimona’s emaciated body weighs just 24 pounds…Every day,” a nurse told Ferguson in a remote Yemen hospital, medical personnel “see these sorts of cases.”
Cholera, a prominent 19th-century disease, has become epidemic there, thanks to the collapse of water sanitation. Cholera has already killed thousands of Yemeni civilians, children especially, and a million Yemenis are currently infected. Yemen is now home to what Ferguson calls “the worst cholera outbreak in modern history. Now every time the rains comes, people fall ill.”
“American Made”

The cause? In “mainstream” U.S. media, the Yemeni children and families suffering this near “apocalypse” are victims of a three-year-old war between Yemen’s Iran-backed Shiite Houthi rebels who hold the country’s north, and a Saudi Arabian-led coalition, armed and backed by the United States. But there is little evidence of significant Iranian involvement in Yemen. The desperately poor nation’s “civil war” is a remarkably one-sided affair in which the world’s only Superpower (the United States) has been providing critical support for what amounts to the crucifixion of millions of innocent children and families. Combined with a vicious economic blockade, the US-Saudi coalition’s relentless bombing campaign has collapsed Yemen’s economy, leaving two-thirds of the population to depend outside on food aid for survival. The air onslaughts have devastated much of Yemen’s basic infrastructure so that more than half the population lacks access to safe drinking water – the key cause of the cholera epidemic. In a recent trip deep into Yemen’s countryside, Ferguson found a Doctors Without Borders cholera treatment center that had been crushed into rubble by a U.S.-Saudi airstrike the day before – an obvious war crime. “It was just about to open its doors to patients,” Ferguson reports.
Ferguson spoke to Dr. Ali Al Motaa, a Yemeni college professor who did his doctorate in the US. “The missiles that kill us,” Motaa said, “American-made. The planes that kill us, American-made. The tanks, Abrams, American-made. You are saying to me, where is America? America is the whole thing.”
By Ferguson’s account, from deep inside rebel-controlled territory:

“The aerial bombing campaign has not managed to dislodge the rebels, but has hit weddings, hospitals and homes. The U.S. military supports the Saudi coalition with logistics and intelligence. The United States it also sells the Saudis and coalition partners many of the bombs they drop on Yemen. In the mountains outside the capital, we gained exclusive access to the site where the Houthis store unexploded American-made bombs, like this 2000-pound Mark 84 bomb made in Garland, Texas. It landed in the middle of the street in the capital, we are told.”

That was before he U.S.-Saudi forces, with the Trump administration’s approval, decided to launch an offensive against the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, through which almost all the food and medicine coming into Houthi-held Yemen passes. As Al Jazeera reported three days ago, the UN is warning that “the humanitarian crisis in Yemen is worsening as tens of thousands of families are displaced by the Saudi-UAE coalition offensive to retake the strategic port city….the relentless air raids and lack of aid are making an already dire humanitarian crisis even worse for the civilians who live in the region….tens of thousands of families have been displaced from Hodeidah as a result of the fierce fighting.
The U.S. is involved in direct as well as indirect assault on Yemen. Yemen was home to the first known U.S. drone attack outside Afghanistan in 2002. Hundreds of U.S. drone and other airstrikes have targeted Yemen since 2009.

Trump drew his first military blood in Yemen. U.S. Navy special forces carried out a raid—planned by the Obama administration and handed off to the incoming Trump team—that killed 25 civilians, including 10 children in the mountainous Yakla region of Yemen’s Al Bayda province. One of the children killed was an 8-year-old girl, Nawar al-Awlaki, daughter of the Islamist preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, who was killed on Barack Obama’s orders in a September 2011 U.S. drone strike in Yemen. Nawar’s older brother, 16-year-old Abdulrahman, was killed in a second Obama-commanded drone strike soon afterward.
Trump’s continuation of the U.S. slaughter of al-Awlaki’s children was consistent with his campaign claim that he would kill the relatives of terrorist suspects—a war crime. “The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families; when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families,” Trump pronounced on Fox News in December 2015.
A PBS NewsHour report earlier this month describes the Yemen tragedy as a “man-made” catastrophe. A more historically specific characterization would be “Empire-made” or “Washington-made.” As Bill Van Auken accurately reported on the World Socialist Web Site five weeks ago:

“This total war against an entire population…would be impossible without the uninterrupted support—military and political—of US imperialism since its outset…The US, together with its main NATO allies the UK and France, has supplied the planes, warships, bombs, missiles and shells used to devastate Yemen and slaughter its people. In his eight years in office, President Barack Obama presided over some $115 billion in arms sales to the monarchical dictatorship in Riyadh. The Trump administration, which has sought to forge an anti-Iran axis with Saudi Arabia, the other reactionary Gulf oil sheikhdoms and Israel, has touted arms deals with Riyadh that potentially would amount to $110 billion.”

“The Pentagon has given direct and indispensable aid to the Saudi-led onslaught, providing midair refueling for the planes that bomb Yemeni civilians, staffing a joint command center in Riyadh with US intelligence and logistics officers and reinforcing the Saudi-UAE blockade of the country with American warships. Recently, US Green Berets have been deployed with Saudi ground forces to assist in their anti-Yemen operations. Under the banner of the ‘war on terror,’ the Pentagon is waging its own air war in Yemen, conducting at least 130 air and drone strikes in 2017, quadruple the number in 2016…The Trump administration gave the go-ahead for the current siege of Hodeidah Pentagon officials have reported that US officers are helping to select targets in the port city.”
Historical Continuities

 The Trump administration’s funding and equipping of the savage war on Yemen shares three key characteristics with the “zero tolerance” immigration policy that Trump was recently forced to (partially and haltingly) rescind. First, it unconscionably uses innocent children and families as hostages and pawns in the advance of White House policy goals.
Second, it is richly consistent with U.S. policy stretching far back in history (see this on the long U.S. record of family separation and thison the long U.S. history of directly and indirectly attacking and killing children and other civilians in foreign nations).
Third, it is consistent with Barack Obama’s record. The Obama administration backed the Saudi-led Arab assault on Yemen. It also (as few marching against Trump’s border policy seem to know or care) responded to Central American migration and asylum-seeking with a policy of aggressive deterrence and detention – a policy that included the caging of children.
Why No Mass Marches for Yemeni Children?

Clearly the murder of tens of thousands of (Yemeni) children is a bigger crime than the undoubted transgression of traumatically if (hopefully temporarily) separating 2300 Central American children form their migrant parents. Why don’t hundreds of thousands of U.S.-Americans march on behalf of Yemeni children and families killed, maimed, starved, sickened, and otherwise placed at grave risk by Washington and its Arab allies?
Differences of geographical proximity and familiarity are part of the explanation. Equally if not more significant: the dominant U.S media’s systematic under-reporting of U.S, imperial aggression in the Middle East; that media’s portrayal of is the Yemen war as a regional Sunni-Shia and Saudi-Iranian conflict in which the U.S. is only peripherally involved; the Yemeni victims’ status as Muslim Others who are linked in the dominant U.S. media and politics culture with the officially U.S,- and Israel-demonized state of Iran (a nation that all too unmentionably looks like a model of democracy, social justice, and women’s rights in comparison to its regional arch-enemy and Washington’s “good friend” the absolutist and arch-reactionary state of Saudi Arabia). For these and other reasons, the Democratic Party establishment sees no political advantage in confronting Trump on U.S. Yemen policy, a policy in which both reigning U.S. political parties are deeply complicit.

Als je denkt alles wel gehad te hebben over de meer dan schunnige, inhumane manier waarop de VS omgaat met vluchtelingen, wordt je verrast door een volgend staaltje onwerkelijk en schandalig overheidsbeleid in de Verenging van Politiestaten die men de VS noemt….
Anti-Media bracht het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Elliot Gabriel, eerder geplaatst op MintPress News, waarin Gabriel ingaat op het meer dan idiote feit dat zelfs peuters van 3 jaar hun eigen zaak moeten bepleiten voor ‘rechtbanken’ in de VS…….
Kinderen die maar één ding willen: terug naar mama en/of papa, voor een rechtbank dagen en horen…… De ‘rechters’ in de VS moeten de oren van hun kop schamen dat ze niet al lang hun werk hebben neergelegd tot deze afschuwelijke gang van zaken van tafel is……

Overigens dateert het opsluiten van kinderen die werden gescheiden van hun ouders al uit de tijd van Obama*, de ‘vredesduif……’

Het voorgaande is de zoveelste schending van het VN Vluchtelingenverdrag door een westers land (en bepaald niet de eerste keer door de VS, zoals weer eens blijkt…)…… Moet je nagaan: de VS is in 9 van de 10 gevallen aan te wijzen als de diepe oorzaak achter de vlucht van mensen uit Latijns Amerika…… (en uit het Midden-Oosten, al is de VS daar, met hulp van andere NAVO landen in 100% van de gevallen verantwoordelijk voor de vluchtelingenstromen…….)
Het voorgaande geeft ten overvloede nog eens aan dat de rechtspraak in de VS zo krom is als een hoepel en aan dat land levert Nederland zelfs eigen burgers uit………..

(MPN) — Immigrant children as young as three years old are being forced to hold their own in deportation proceedings in federal court, judges have reported, further confirming how the cruelties of the U.S. immigrant enforcement regime have been largely unhindered by the local and global controversy it’s provoked.
The practice began under former President Barack Obama, but has widened under President Trump to encompass an ever-larger group of youth — who are often toddlers, unable to understand the dire circumstances that they’re in.
Speaking to Texas Tribune, Immigrant Defenders Law Center in Los Angeles executive director Lindsay Toczylowski said:

“We were representing a 3-year-old in court recently who had been separated from the parents. And the child — in the middle of the hearing — started climbing up on the table … It really highlighted the absurdity of what we’re doing with these kids.”

Continuing, she noted that the children are scarcely able to put into words the conditions – frequently violent – that force the families to leave their homes and make the treacherous journey to the north:

“The parent might be the only one who knows why they fled from the home country, and the child is in a disadvantageous position to defend themselves.

The kids don’t understand the intricacies that are involved with deportation and immigration court … They do understand that they have been separated from their parents, and the primary goal is to get back with people they love.”

Over 2,000 children are slated to face the proceedings in the absence of their parents, who alone have the vocabulary and the knowledge to properly explain to authorities what the context was that drove them to seek asylum or enter the United States.
While a federal judge ruled earlier this week that the reuniting of separated families must be a priority for the Trump administration, immigration lawyers are saying that this won’t help those parents who have already been sent home while their children languish in U.S. detention facilities. The lawyers also note that no actual model for such a reunification exists yet.
The revelation is just the latest indication of the enormous human costs of Trump’s stepped-up and “zero tolerance” immigration enforcement, mass confinement and deportation regime.
Confusion Reigns but the War on Migrants Must Continue
Now the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency has signaled that it will cease handing parents over to authorities until the administration can figure out how to make good on their prosecution without ripping their children from their arms.
Such a move would, in effect, be tantamount to the “catch and release” program opposed by Trump, which saw unauthorized migrants being released and told to return to face a judge in the future.
The government has been unable to cope with the demands placed on its detention and concentration camp facilities, leading to a crisis of overcrowding, rights abuses, and even calls by President Trump to suspend due process and asylum-protection rights for unauthorized immigrants.

Tweeting on Sunday, Trump said:

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came [sic].”

“Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!”

The CBP move also comes shortly after the Department of Defense confirmed that it had been tasked by the administration to hold migrants in camps within 45 days as an initial step toward managing the encampment of a migrant “family population of up to 12,000 people.”
If facilities are not available then camps meant to contain around 4,000 people each will be built at three separate locations, according to the Pentagon.
Trump appears to be faced with no good options, as the anger and outcry over his policies continues to build. The existing laws and restraints on the immigration enforcement regime that he inherited from past administrations have been a mere inconvenience for the president as he pursues this latest escalated war on migrants.
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project head Jorge Baron told Reuters:

“Here, I think he is making it clear, he just doesn’t want anybody here. He wants people to just be sent back, no matter what.”

‘Dat ‘t lekker gaat’ in Australië was al lang bekend, maar er kan altijd nog ‘n fikse schep bovenop. De ijskoude, inhumane omgang met vluchtelingen, of de aanleg van de grootste kolenhaven* ter wereld voor het Groot Barrièrerif, met een vaargeul dwars door dat rif, zijn maar een paar voorbeelden van de ongelofelijk schunnige omgang van de Australische regering Turnbull met mens, natuur en milieu (en daarmee met de klimaatverandering), een houding van beangstigende onverschilligheid……

Moet je nagaan: onlangs kondigde de regering Turnbull met veel tamtam aan dat het subsidie zal geven om het Groot Barrièrerif te redden van de ondergang……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! (zelfs de enorme stofontwikkeling die vrijkomt bij het verwerken van steenkool is al een grote bedreiging voor dit rif, daarnaast is de verbranding van steenkool een enorme aanjager van de klimaatverandering, de oorzaak van de achteruitgang die het Barrièrerif treft…….)

Alle smerig handelen van Turnbull en z’n misdadigersbende roept uiteraard verzet op onder het nadenkende deel van de Australische bevolking en die hebben nog al eens succes met bijvoorbeeld hun vreedzame demonstraties……

Je snapt ‘t al: fascist Turnbull is dat helemaal zat en er ligt nu een wet voor, waarin het organiseren van een demonstratie tot 7 jaar gevangenisstraf kan leiden**, het blokkeren van de toegang tot Gemenebest eigendommen (daar vallen ook overheidsgebouwen onder) zou met maar liefst 20 jaar cel kunnen worden bestraft, om een paar voorbeelden te geven…….

Kortom de vrijheid van meningsuiting wordt compleet de nek omgedraaid………

Op naar een ‘mooie nieuwe orde…’ Een orde die in tegenstelling tot het verleden nu wel langdurig in stand kan worden gehouden, dit vanwege alle technologische surveillance middelen die er zijn…… Men is zelfs al bezig drones te maken die eruitzien als een vliegend insect, compleet met camera…… Dat laatste biedt nog meer mogelijkheden: standrechtelijke executies met een kleine dosis heftig gif, overgebracht door zo’n insectkleine drone……

Overigens schande dat wetenschappers meewerken aan dergelijke projecten, zoals er ook warbots worden ontworpen, waar Google meewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van een autonome drone, die zelf kan beslissen iemand te vermoorden…… (Google is daar niet mee gestopt, de samenwerking voor dit project met het Pentagon wordt pas gestopt, als het huidige contract, dus het ‘drone-project’ is beëindigd…….)

* Ondanks alle mooie klimaatpraatjes dumpen Australië en de VS steenkool op de wereldmarkt tegen afbraakprijzen, vandaar dat onze gascentrales zijn uitgeschakeld en de kolencentrales op volle toeren draaien (tot 2030 en daar hebben de energieleveranciers nog ‘n grote bek over ook, terwijl ze begin vorig jaar van VVD hufter Kamp nog een subsidie van rond de 4 miljard euro kregen..!!) Onder Obama werd er met steun van de overheid zelfs een enorme kolencentrale gebouwd naast een groot natuurreservaat in Bangladesh t.w. de Sundarbans……..

** Kreeg het niet mee in de berichtgeving over deze zaak, maar reken maar dat de telefoons en computers van vooral activisten continu in de gaten worden gehouden, waar de diensten die zich hiermee bezighouden zich beter kunnen richten op het voorkomen van terreur…… Het voorkomen van terreur door de trap in het torentje van VVD oplichter Rutte plat te lopen met de waarschuwing dat Nederland zich niet langer moet bezighouden met het steunen van VS terreur in het Midden-Oosten en overal elders…… (trouwens ook het in de gaten houden van terroristen in Nederland kunnen die diensten al niet behappen…)

Russische volk wordt geadviseerd zich voor te bereiden op een nucleaire oorlog…….

In een Anti-Media artikel van Julia Conley, eerder gepubliceerd op Common Dreams, bericht ze over de adviezen die door de Russische staatsmedia aan het Russische volk worden gegeven: wat te doen als er een nucleaire oorlog tussen Rusland en de VS uitbreekt…….

Volkomen terecht, echter als je de landelijke radio nieuws en actualiteiten zenders van Nederland, België, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië moet geloven is er niets aan de hand en hoewel men continu Rusland demoniseert, wordt er dan plotsklaps wel gezond verstand verwacht van Rusland, in reactie op de oorlogstaal van de VS n.a.v. de zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Douma……*

Moet je nagaan: die reguliere media doen voorts niet anders dan Rusland van alle ellende de schuld geven, ook al is daar geen flinter bewijs voor, neem de zogenaamde Russische manipulatie van de VS presidentsverkiezingen, of het hacken van regeringen (zaken waar de VS zich meermaals schuldig aan heeft gemaakt, waar wel bewijzen voor zijn, ook het hacken van vriendschappelijke regeringen zoals die van Duitsland en andere zaken die o.a. terug te vinden zijn in Wikileaks…..)

De verwachting dat Rusland wel haar verstand zal gebruiken, strookt overigens met de werkelijkheid: ga maar eens na wat er gebeurd zou zijn als een VS jager uit de lucht zou zijn geschoten door Rusland (Turkije deed dit als NAVO partner, terwijl de VS op de hoogte was van het Russische vluchtplan), of als Rusland 100 VS militairen zou hebben gedood (zoals de VS met Russische militaire vrijwilligers in Syrië heeft gedaan)…… De oorlogsrapen waren overgaar geweest en de VS had wraak genomen, echter Rusland deed dit niet en bewaarde de kalmte (waarvoor we bij wijze van spreken god en Putin op onze blote knieën mogen bedanken)…….

Echter tegen loze beschuldigingen kan je je niet anders verweren dan de waarheid te vertellen en je voor te bereiden op oorlog. De VS wordt keer op keer zwakte verweten, zoals na de grote gifgasaanval in 2013, die na onderzoek werd toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die zonder bezwaar van het westen beschikken over voorraden…. gifgas!). Niet voor niets dat Obama niet ingreep, al had hij al helemaal het recht niet zich binnen de (lucht-) grenzen van Syrië te begeven…….

Echter het is geen zwakte als je je fout inziet (dat willen de reguliere westerse media en de meeste westerse politici nog steeds niet toegeven!) en niet besluit om te gaan bombarderen….. Als Rusland in de positie van de VS was geweest en elke keer de beschuldigingen en volkomen onterechte wraakoefeningen (zoals die na de ‘gifgasaanval’ in Khan Sheikhoun >> de VS aanval met kruisraketten >> een enorme oorlogsmisdaad) over haar kant had laten gaan, waren hemel en aarde te klein geweest voor de kritiek…… Gelukkig dat we in Rusland te maken hebben met een regering die niet ad hoc reageert, een regering waaraan het westen op heel veel punten een voorbeeld kan nemen!!

 With ominous mushroom clouds in the background, Russian TV tells citizens how to fill bunkers with shelf-stable foods like rice and sugar.
(COMMONDREAMS) As President Donald Trump sent mixed messages about his plans for possible military action in Syria this week, Russian state media advised citizens to take his warnings from earlier this week to heart, and prepare for war with the U.S.
On the country’s state-owned media channel, a news anchor on Wednesday explained to viewers how to prepare for a potential war by stocking a bomb shelter—while images of nuclear explosions were shown behind him.
As Newsweek reports:

Warning that the potential conflict between the two superpowers would be “catastrophic,” an anchor for Russia’s Vesti 24 showed off shelves of food, recommending that people buy salt, oatmeal, and other products that can last a long time on the shelves if they plan to hide in a bunker. Powdered milk lasts five years, while sugar and rice can last up to eight years, the newscaster explained before showing videos of pasta cooking in a bomb shelter.

The newscast showed shelf-stable foods that could last five to eight years—including powdered milk, rice, and sugar—and advised Russians to buy gas masks and huge supplies of water.
The anchor took on a mocking tone at times, saying that Americans have far more to fear than Russians.
“The real panic isn’t here but across the ocean,” said the reporter, adding that the instructions to stock bunkers were for “people who succumb to panic and decide to spend all their savings.”

Trump warned he was considering military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad this week, after he accused Assad—who Russia has defended in the country’s civil war over the last seven years—of attacking the town of Douma with poison gas last weekend.
A navy destroyer armed with Tomahawk missiles embarked from Cyrus on Monday, leading to fears that Trump would impulsively launch an attack on the war-torn country—while anti-war advocates urged Trump to allow the U.N. to investigate the chemical attack before taking action.
In response to Trump’s threats, Russia quickly said it wouldshoot down any U.S. missiles and possibly target U.S. launch sites as well, leading international affairs and military experts to warn that the U.S. would stand little chance of defeating Russia’s defenses—and that an escalation could ultimately lead to a nuclear exchange.
“There is a major war scare here in Moscow. Russia is expecting a U.S. strike in Syria. The Russian chief of military Valery Gerasimov promised a response against U.S. platforms launching missiles,” Ariel Cohen, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, told Newsweek. “The U.S. needs to keep in mind not only the adversarial position of Russia, which of course is the case, but the Russian nuclear potential… An escalation in Syria that affects Russia may lead to a military conflict with Russia, which has an escalation trajectory towards a nuclear war.”
Meanwhile, Murtaza Mohammad Hussain‏ at the Intercept argued that while Trump’s threats could carry the danger of war, the majority of those who will suffer in a conflict between the U.S. and Russia are likely neither American nor Russian—but Middle Eastern.

I don’t really buy the idea that Russia & the U.S. are at risk of WW3 or nuclear war over any of their disputes. Imperial powers are happy to compete in carving up the rest of the world, but the only blood they’re really willing to spill en masse is that of third world people.

If there is a great power conflict, the escalation will happen by both sides bombing Syrians more, maybe throwing in some Iraqis, Iranians and Lebanese depending on how bad things get. No one in Russia or America needs to worry about any “WW3” that would affect them directly.

Ben het overigens in het geheel niet eens met de Twitterberichten van Martuza Mohammad Hussain, hij vergeet even dat Rusland op verzoek van de legitieme, democratisch gekozen regering van Syrië in dat land aanwezig is…… De ‘opstand in Syrië’ was een door de VS georganiseerde zaak, met behulp van een aantal andere landen waaronder Groot-Brittannië, Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Egypte. Deze opstand werd al vanaf 2006 voorbereid…… Syrië werd vanaf het begin van de opstand (‘arabische lente..’) onmiddellijk gedemoniseerd, terwijl buitenlandse jihadstrijders de Syrische demonstranten (waaronder vooral veel buitenlanders) letterlijk onder vuur namen, zodat Assad de schuld kreeg…….. (de zoveelste false flag operatie) Doordat Syrië ten onder dreigde te gaan en Assad Putin te hulp riep, is Rusland zoals gezegd aanwezig in dat land, waarmee Rusland al decennia lang goede betrekkingen onderhield………. Tot slot wat betreft dit commentaar van Hussain en dan zijn stelling dat we in het westen niet bang hoeven te zijn voor WOIII: dat is maar zeer de vraag, als Rusland als vergelding voor de aanval van afgelopen nacht een VS marineschip torpedeert dan wel bombardeert, vrees ik dat we binnen de kortste keren wel degelijk in WOIII zullen belanden en zoals deze aanduiding al aangeeft, een wereldoorlog treft de hele wereld, dus ook het westen……

In het volgende artikel uitleg van Edward Snowden over hoe de deep state werkt (in de VS). Zoals je wellicht al bekend was, het gaat bepaald niet alleen om de geheime diensten, maar bijvoorbeeld ook om de ambtenaren op sleutelposities, die na een wisseling van presidenten niet hoeven te vertrekken. Jammer dat Snowden niet de grote bedrijven en banken noemt, daar deze wel degelijk deel uitmaken van deep state……

Gezien dat laatste, hebben ook de miljardairs veel invloed, immers zij bezitten bedrijven of hebben de meerderheid van aandelen van bedrijven in handen, zoals die van de grote dagbladen >> niet voor niets dat de ‘journalistiek’ in die bladen allesbehalve onafhankelijk is….

(TIM) — Famed whistleblower Edward Snowden was recently interviewed by Italian publication La Repubblic. The publication noted the 5-year mark of Snowden’s historic act of blowing the whistle on the NSA’s expansive surveillance programs and that “many thought he would end up very badly, but when he connects via videolink for this interview with la Repubblica, he seems to be doing very well: the frank smile and peaceful face of someone who is easy in his mind.”


In an excerpt from the exclusive interview, Snowden explained how the presidencies of both Obama and Trump are shaped by the Deep State following an illuminating question by journalist Stefania Maurizi.


Stefania Maurizi: We saw that President Obama, who was an outsider to the US military-intelligence complex, initially wanted to reign in the abuses of agencies like the CIA and the NSA, but in the end he did very little. Now we see a confrontation between president Trump and so-called Deep State, which includes the CIA and the NSA. Can a US president govern in opposition to such powerful entities?


Edward Snowden: Obama is certainly an instructive case. This is a president who campaigned on a platform of ending warrantless wiretapping in the United States, he said “that’s not who we are, that’s not what we do,” and once he became the president, he expanded the program. He said he was going to close Guantanamo but he kept it open, he said he was going to limit extrajudicial killings and drone strikes that has been so routine in the Bush years. But Obama went on to authorize vastly more drone strikes than Bush. It became an industry.


As for this idea that there is a Deep State, now the Deep State is not just the intelligence agencies, it is really a way of referring to the career bureaucracy of government. These are officials who sit in powerful positions, who don’t leave when presidents do, who watch presidents come and go, they influence policy, they influence presidents and say: this is what we have always done, this is what we must do, and if you don’t do this, people will die.


It is very easy to persuade a new president who comes in, who has never had these powers, but has always wanted this job and wants very, very badly to do that job well. A bureaucrat sitting there for the last twenty years says: I understand what you said, I respect your principles, but if you do what you promised, people will die. It is very easy for a president to go: well, for now, I am going to set this controversy to the side, I’m going to take your advice, let you guys decide how these things should be done, and then I will revisit it, when I have a little more experience, maybe in a few months, maybe in a few years, but then they never do.


This is what we saw quite clearly happen in the case of Barack Obama: when this story [of Snowden exposing the NSA’s mass surveillance] came forward in 2013, when Obama had been president for five years, one of the defences for this from his aides and political allies was: oh, Obama was just about to fix this problem! And sure enough, he eventually was forced from the wave of criticism to make some limited reforms, but he did not go far enough to end all of the programs that were in violation of the law or the constitution of the United States. That too was an intentional choice: he could have certainly used the scandal to advocate for all of the changes that he had campaigned on, to deliver on all of his promises, but in those five years he had become president, he discovered something else, which is that there are benefits from having very powerful intelligence agencies, there are benefits from having these career bureaucrats on your side, using their spider web over government for your benefit.


Imagine you are Barack Obama, and you realise – yes, when you were campaigning you were saying: spying on people without a warrant is a problem, but then you realise: you can read Angela Merkel’s text messages. Why bother calling her and asking her opinion, when you can just read her mind by breaking the law? It sounds like a joke, but it is a very seductive thing. Secrecy is perhaps the most corrupting of all government powers, because it takes public officials and divorces them from accountability to the public.


When we look at the case of Trump, who is perhaps the worst of politicians, we see the same dynamic occurring. This is a president who said the CIA is the enemy, it’s like Nazi Germany, they’re listening to his phone calls, and all of these other things, some claims which are true, some claims which are absolutely not. A few months later, he is authorizing major powers for these same agencies that he has called his enemies.


And this gets to the central crux of your question, which is: can any president oppose this? The answer is certainly. The president has to have some familiarity going in with the fact that this pitch is going to be made, that they are going to try to scare him or her into compliance. The president has to be willing to stand strongly on line and say: ‘I was elected to represent the interests of the American people, and if you’re not willing to respect the constitution and our rights, I will disband your agency, and create a new one’. I think they can definitely be forced into compliance, because these officials fear prison, just like every one of us.

Ruslands nieuwe kernwapensysteem…….

De anti-Rusland hysterie is ontoombaar, Rusland is agressief, dit vanwege haar nieuwe kernwapensysteem: eerst was er verontwaardiging over dit wapensysteem, toen begon men te vertellen dat Rusland dit systeem niet kan hebben en nu houden de reguliere westerse media en westerse politici dit wel ‘voor waar’*.

Rusland breidt agressief haar territorium uit (één grote leugen), Rusland is verantwoordelijk voor de Brexit (…. ha! ha! ha!), Rusland is verantwoordelijk voor de eis tot onafhankelijkheid van het Catalaanse volk….., Rusland is verantwoordelijk voor de gifgas aanval op Skripal en zijn dochter (alsof Rusland dit niet zou kunnen doen, zonder ook maar één spoor na te laten…..), kortom Rusland is verantwoordelijk voor een groot deel van het kwaad en de ellende in het westen en het Midden-Oosten, althans als je de leugens van de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici moet geloven……

Hier een video (op Information Clearing House) waarin simpel wordt uitgelegd dat de werkelijkheid volkomen omgekeerd is en het westen o.l.v. De VS de grote agressor is en bepaald niet alleen in Europa. Zo heeft de VS Rusland en China omsingeld met meer dan 400 militaire bases……

 Nogal logisch dat Rusland zich probeert te wapenen tegen de VS agressie, de VS met haar oorlogshond NAVO aan de lijn….. De VS houdt zich immers nooit aan afspraken, zie Irak en Libië. Daarnaast staan de VS en de NAVO intussen op meer plekken aan de grens met Rusland, volkomen tegen de gemaakte afspraken in…… Bedenk daarbij dat de VS desnoods de ene na de andere illegale oorlog start en de wil van een land om zich op alle mogelijke manieren te verweren tegen de VS agressie, kan niet meer dan als normaal worden gezien……

De VS heeft meer dan 800 militaire bases over de wereld, vecht officieel in 3 landen een illegale oorlog uit, t.w.: Afghanistan, Irak en Syrië en vecht mee in minstens 2 oorlogen in Afrika, waar sinds eind vorig jaar (ik dacht vanaf oktober 2017) Nigeria aan toegevoegd kan worden…….

 Dezelfde VS die vanaf WOII tot nu toe verantwoordelijk is voor meer dan 22 miljoen doden (ofwel: moorden), dit in illegale oorlogen, geheime militaire operaties (veelal onder regie van de CIA), standrechtelijke executies middels drones, via andere moordaanslagen (‘spionnen werk’), opstanden en waar deze laatsten gepland in moeten uitmonden: staatsgrepen….. (al kan dat ‘natuurlijk’ ook zonder opstand, door het militaire en politieapparaat van een land om te kopen…….) Voor al deze zaken is een stapel bewijzen, waar je steil van achteroverslaat…….
Presentator in de volgende video is Mike Maloney, die o.a. wijst op het raketschild van de VS in Roemenië, dat destijds (de video dateert van 2016) nog in aanbouw was, maar dat nu klaar zou moeten zijn (‘leuk’ dat de westerse media daar ook ‘zo uitgebreid over hebben bericht en berichten’, de bouw van een ‘rakeschild’ op ‘schootsafstand’ van Moskou…..). Maloney vergat te vertellen dat een tweede deel van dat schild in Polen staat, nog dichter op Moskou…..
