Mensen het wordt de hoogste tijd dat we met z’n allen BBC First gaan boycotten: gisteravond rond 19.50 u. keek ik even of er later op de avond nog ‘iets van belang’ zou worden uitgezonden op tv, toen ik in het menu de waardeloze flutserie Midsomer Murders geprogrammeerd zag staan bij BBC First. Meteen even aangezet en jawel de dikke kop van de waardeloze acteur John Nettles vol in beeld!!

Deze racist heeft de pest aan kleurlingen en wenst hen niet op de set te zien……. Waarbij niet vergeten moet worden dat gekleurde mensen al veel langer deel uitmaken van het Britse straatbeeld dan dit in Nederland het geval is…… De wereld staat bij wijze van spreken in brand na de zoveelste politiemoord in de VS, die op George Floyd*, waarbij gekleurden volkomen terecht eisen dat ze naast het stoppen van politiegeweld tegen hen, ook gelijk worden behandeld als de witte bevolking*. Wie kan daar tegen zijn anders dan fascisten?? Wel bij BBC First denkt men daar blijkbaar anders over, heeft men schijt aan deze zaken en programmeert men alweer de racistische en daarmee in feite de fascistische figuur Nettles (en dat in de herhaling…)…..
Onbegrijpelijk dat het zogenaamde onafhankelijke BBC zo durft om te gaan met mensen die deel uitmaken van de Britse samenleving….. Ach ja, dom van mij: de BBC laat haar jasje waaien naar de zittende regering en die is m.i. een fiks eind op weg om een fascistisch geregeerd land te construeren (en geloof me, daar is niet zo veel meer voor nodig….) Overigens ‘voor de goede orde’: midsomer Murders is een productie van ITV, een commerciële Britse zendgemachtigde.

Na de moord door politieagent Derek Chauvin op George Floyd, sloeg de vlam weer eens in de pan: beelden uit Minneapolis en andere steden in de VS laten ten overvloede nog eens de woede zien van gekleurde mensen die als vuil worden behandeld door de politie in de VS, die jaarlijks een fiks aantal gekleurde mensen vermoorden, waar de daders NB ook nog eens voor het overgrote deel mee wegkomen…..
Op 23 februari dit jaar werd Ahmaud Marquez Arbery door een ex-agent en diens zoon doodgeschoten, alleen omdat hij bezig was met joggen en dat was in de ogen van deze twee fascistische racisten het teken dat hij wel een misdadiger moest zijn, immers de man was gekleurd en hardlopend…… Deze twee fascisten kwamen er in eerste instantie ook nog mee weg, ‘logisch’ immers het zijn witten en die staan nu eenmaal bovenaan de ladder, terwijl gekleurde VS burgers niet eens op die ladder mogen staan….
Afgelopen maart was het de beurt aan Breonna Taylor die in Louisville woonde, zij werd in haar huis doodgeschoten, ofwel vermoord door 3 politiemannen…… Pas deze maand heeft de FBI aangekondigd een onafhankelijk onderzoek in te stellen naar de moord op Taylor…. Lachen past hier niet, anders zou je je daadwerkelijk kapot lachen…… De FBI in combinatie met een onafhankelijk onderzoek is een gotspe!! De hiervoor opgesomde moorden zijn nog maar het spreekwoordelijke topje van de ijsberg…… Veel reguliere mediaorganen in de VS klagen vooral over de woede van de gekleurden na de zoveelste politiemoord op een gekleurd persoon, zelfs een eerder als alternatief bekend staand mediaorgaan als Zero Hedge laat vooral de vernielingen zien en laat als klap op de vuurpijl ronduit racistisch en fascistisch commentaar van lezers onder het bericht staan……..
Caitlin Johnstone schreef een artikel na de moord op Floyd, ze analyseert de maatschappij waarin dergelijke moorden als ‘normaal’ worden gezien door de witten en….. de gekleurden….. Waarbij opgemerkt dient te worden dat de gekleurden dit wel als een ‘normale gang van zaken’ zien, echter doordat het in de VS schering en inslag is wat betreft moorrddadig politieoptreden tegen gekleurde mensen, maar waar deze bevolkingsgroep letterlijk doodziek van wordt, we leven immers niet in 1720 maar in 2020…. Het is dan ook allesbehalve vreemd dat de woede van deze mensen telkens weer uit de hand loopt….
Johnstone wijst niet alleen naar de VS waar dergelijk geweld mogelijk is, maar ook naar haar ‘moederland’ Australië, waarover ze volkomen terecht stelt dat dit een door de witten gestolen land is en dat over stromen aan bloed van de oorspronkelijke bewoners, ofwel eenzelfde scenario als in de VS en de rest van de 3 Amerika’s……..
Je zou denken dat het hier wel heel anders aan toegaat en het politiegeweld dat hier wordt gebruikt tegen minderheden, kan niet in de schaduw staan van wat er in de VS gebeurt. Hoewel: ook wij kennen uiterst gewelddadig politieoptreden, neem de moord op Mitch Henriquez….. Henriquez werd zoals Floyd door een politieagent vermoord middels de nekklem, terwijl zo’n 4 andere agenten bovenop het slachtoffer zaten….. De man moet al bijna dood zijn geweest toen men hem in een politiebus sleurde, i.p.v. een ambulance te bellen….. Henriquez moet zijn overleden in die politiebus…… Kortom alle betrokken agenten zijn schuldig aan de moord op Henriquez…… Uiteindelijk werd één agent veroordeeld tot een voorwaardelijke gevangenisstraf van 6 maanden (….) en een jaar ontzegging van de uitoefening van zijn beroep…… ‘Gerechtigheid’ anno 2019……. GGGVD!!!
De politie in Nederland is bij herhaling betrapt op etnisch profileren en toch is er niets veranderd, het gebeurt nog steeds…… Zo zag ik in het begin van de ‘intelligente lockdown’ een paar agenten een gekleurde man apart nemen, terwijl hij zijn fiets op slot wilde zetten, hij werd tegen de muur gezet waarna de twee hem aan de tand voelden over de fiets en waar hij deze gekocht had…. Let wel: de man zag er bepaald niet uit als een verslaafde die fietsen steelt, mooie kleding, alleen wel een heel grote bos met haar en kijk dat is al uiterst verdacht: een gekleurde die een in de ogen van de agenten een dure fiets op slot zet en dan ook nog eens een gekleurde man met een afrokapsel >> ‘uitermate verdacht, zoals je begrijpt….’ Gelukkig lieten de agenten de man vrij snel gaan, maar als witte sta je wel verbluft toe te kijken, walgelijk!!!

You’ve probably already seen the footage of a white police officer named Derek Chauvin cheerfully suffocating a black man named George Floyd to death with his knee while Floyd pleaded for his life. This went viral around the same time as another viral video where a white woman in Central Park called New York police on a black man who posed no threat to her while making sure to inform the police that he was black, and just weeks after video footage surfaced of a black man named Ahmaud Arbery being shot to death by a white former cop and his son while out for a jog.
So race is on everyone’s mind, and rightly so. And whether we’re honest with ourselves or we throw a bunch of verbiage at it to try and compartmentalize away from it, white people are all aware when we watch George Floyd being torturously murdered that there’s no way it could have been us on the business end of that knee. Not because of our impeccable manners or our sparkling personality, but because our skin is a certain color.
And whether we choose to directly acknowledge this reality or not, we’re going to experience discomfort on some level. And mainly what I want to say here is, that’s okay.
It can be tempting to try and distance ourselves from this discomfort by making it about individuals: that individual cop was a bad, bad man and I would never do such a thing, and I didn’t, so I have no accountability here. And of course it’s true that you were not personally directly responsible for George Floyd’s actual murder, but white people who urgently advance that truism are only ever doing so to avoid confronting the more uncomfortable reality that they live in and benefit from a society which guarantees that they will never be on the receiving end of such brutality.
White people have a lot of unprocessed feelings about racism, their role in it and the extent to which they’ve benefited from it, both in America and here in Australia, where the bright sun on my pale skin is a constant reminder to me that I am an alien on stolen land.
Those unprocessed feelings will probably express themselves in angry vituperative comments on this essay by white people who are afraid of simply feeling their feelings and getting real with themselves, because this is uncomfortable, confrontational stuff.
“Identity politics!” is an objection I often get when I try to talk about the reality of racial power dynamics in our society, probably because I have a lot of readers who follow me because of my criticisms of the Democratic Party which often cynically exploits race and racism to advance political agendas.
But this isn’t identity politics; it’s not about politics at all. This is about healing, and being real with ourselves.
“Bah, white guilt!” is another common objection. “You just want us to feel guilty! How does white people feeling all guilty help fix racism??”
They always talk about guilt. Guilt, guilt, guilt, guilt, guilt. I never brought guilt up, but that’s what they argue against. Which is of course very telling.
Obviously guilt in and of itself is not the objective here. Nobody’s claiming that the world’s racial wounds would be healed if white people just went around feeling guilty all the time; that’s a vapid strawman that is advanced by white people who don’t want to viscerally grapple with the reality of the advantages their whiteness brings them.
But also, why such a fearful, defensive response to the possibility of experiencing guilt?
Why treat guilt like it’s made of molten lava? Guilt is just a feeling; it won’t hurt you. You just feel it, listen to what it has to say, and then once it’s been felt all the way through it subsides. There’s no need to fear it, and it’s not legitimate to reject ideas on the basis that they might cause you to experience it.
It’s not about guilt, it’s about consciousness and curiosity. Consciousness of the way racial power dynamics play out in our own lives, and curiosity about the experience of other races in our society.
White people are averse to emotionally processing the reality of their privilege for the same reason rich people aggressively insist they worked hard for every penny they have even though they know they received way more opportunities and advantages than the average person ever sees. Life is hard and abrasive for everyone, even for white people and even for rich people, so acknowledging you’ve received a head start in some way over other people can be one more thing in your mind telling you you’re deficient, in addition to your father’s voice and your first love rejecting you and all the other painful inadequacy stories you’ve got circling through your consciousness.
White privilege doesn’t mean white people don’t suffer or that some white people don’t have it harder overall than some black people. All it means is that having white skin is an advantage, and that all other factors being equal a white person will have an easier time in our society than a person of color. And that this is because our society has been shaped by white supremacy for many generations, leaving many remaining effects.
Healing can’t happen without consciousness. Healing our society’s racial wounds won’t happen as long as white people are compartmentalizing away from the reality that our lives have been easier than they would otherwise have been if we’d been born a different race, and that this is because our ancestors killed, enslaved, exploited and oppressed people who didn’t look like them for many generations before we got here. That while we didn’t personally cause this dynamic, we are interwoven into its tapestry and we have risen above others because of it.
And to be honest, if you really determine to get real with yourself and make your white privilege conscious, you will experience guilt at some point. It’s an inescapable part of the journey if you’re being really sincere and getting really curious about what life is like for people of different races in our society. And that’s okay. Guilt is not dangerous; you just feel through it and continue on your journey. It’s not the final destination in the journey, but it’s a river that you will cross along the way.
There are all sorts of conscious and unconscious ways that white people defensively protect a racist system, even when they don’t think of themselves as racist. You can witness these dynamics in a more overt form by simply scrolling through the comments on any of the videos linked here, full of white people arguing in various ways that this isn’t the atrocious thing that people are making it out to be. (Hint: if the only time you talk about racism is to yell at people that something isn’t racist, then you’re protecting racism.) They can happen in much subtler ways as well, throughout all aspects of our life, and it’s only by making them conscious and feeling the feelings that brings up until they are fully felt that these subconscious white supremacy-supporting mental habits can be noticed and uprooted.
My ancestors came to Australia as prisoners, and some almost certainly would have played some role in the genocide against the people who’d been living here for more than 65,000 years before them. And now I live in a society that is dominated by whiteness, and I’ve benefited from that. I’ve never had cause to fear for my life in the presence of a police officer, in fact I’ve never hesitated to call them if I’ve needed their help. I had an easy youth because my parents came from the race that has been favored by generations of white supremacist policies in Australia. Media I consumed growing up consistently featured people who were the same color as me, consistently feeding me through my formative years the message that I can accomplish anything I want in life. I’ve gotten jobs because I understand the subtleties of white culture enough to know how to speak and dress for different interviews, and because I had many white contacts (it’s not what you know, it’s who you know). There are people who pay attention to my words today who wouldn’t give them as much respect if they appeared next to a profile picture with dark skin. There are many other advantages I’ve had that I can’t even know about, since I’ve never lived a day in brown skin.
This is a reality I need to feel into and make conscious if I’m to play my part in our society’s healing of its racial woundedness. And yeah it can bring up uncomfortable emotions. Being white is weird, man. If we live in Australia or North America we’re acutely aware that we’re disconnected from our ancestral roots, but if we go to visit Europe that feels weird and not at all like home too. We walk through the land surrounded by the ghosts of its previous inhabitants, aware that they had a deep connection to it and that we do not. We’re always reaching for culture because we sense intuitively that that’s something people are meant to have, but everything we grasp fails to satisfy in any meaningful way. We’re aware on some level that we have it better than other races, but we also know that life has been cruel and abrasive to us too, and we don’t know how to solve all the problems which white supremacy has caused.
And if we’re honest with ourselves, it brings up a lot of feels. And it’s okay that it does. It’s good that it does. These feelings need to be felt. Really diving down the rabbit hole of racism and our role in it will move mountains inside you that you didn’t even know were there, and there will be some deep, deep emotions underneath them which will bring burning shame, and big tears. Those tears need to come out though. They’re what’s standing between you and true healing.
And when you have processed through that journey, you will no longer have in you the defensiveness about your own white privilege, and any parts of you which were unconsciously defending and protecting white supremacy in that way will have been purged from your system. And you will be in that respect a much more real and authentic human being, with a much more real and authentic relationship with the world. And the world will feel much more like home to you.

Anderson is een agent uit Seatlle (VS) die werd ontslagen daar hij de politie beschuldigde van het misbruik maken van COVID-19 voor het gebruiken van geweld……. Dit geweld beperkt zich niet tot Seattle maar is in heel de VS terug te vinden (gezien andere rapportages)….. Het gaat in dit geval om de handhaving van Coronamaatregelen waarover deze agent stelt dat deze niet in overeenstemming zijn met de rechten van VS burgers, waarbij hij een aantal voorbeelden noemt en middels de grondwet aantoont dat de politie haar boek ver te buiten gaat en het zelfs vergelijkt met het optreden van de Gestapo tijdens WOII…… Tiranniek is het woord dat Anderson meermaals gebruikt voor dit misbruik van geweld (misbruik, immers als in ons land is ook de politie in de VS de enige instantie die gelegitimeerd geweld mag gebruiken, maar niet naar eigen inzicht zonder dat de burger een gevaar vormt voor hem/haar of zijn/haar collega’s of voor wie dan ook……)
Anderson heeft zijn collega’s opgeropen niet langer mee te werken aan het op gewelddadige of onrechtvaardige manier behandelen van mensen vanwege de Cornonacrisis. Maar ja, een politieagent ‘mag zich zo niet uitlaten’, bij ons is het niet anders, al moet ik toegeven dat ik de politie meermaals rustig met mensen heb zien spreken die te dicht bij elkaar stonden, zonder hun een bon te geven, anders gezegd deze agenten handelen in feite op een manier die Anderson in de VS voorstaat…… (eer voor ‘dit soort agenten!’)
Het zware misbruik van geweld is overigens niets nieuws voor de gemilitariseerde politie in de VS, voorbeelden te over van agenten die bijvoorbeeld gekleurde burgers doodschoten om niets en daar in de rechtbank ook nog mee wegkomen……. In de VS is de verdeling dan ook als volgt: zwarte burgers zijn hoegenaamd niets waard, zij behoren tot de onofficiële derde klasse van de bevolking, daarna komen alle andere gekleurde burgers, die behoren tot de onofficiële tweede klasse (al lopen gekleurde mensen met wortels in Latijns-Amerika het grote risico ook tot de derde klasse te gaan behoren, door het angst- en haatzaaien tegen deze minderheid door Trump en zijn zwaar misdadige, corrupte, fascistische club….)……
Een voorbeeld van deze ongelijke behandeling is het feit dat al jaren bekend is: een zwarte die met cocaïne voor eigen gebruik wordt gepakt, loopt de grote kans op een zware gevangenisstraf, terwijl een witte welgestelde er meestal met een boete van afkomt…… (en naar zo’n land zet Nederland mensen uit, desnoods eigen burgers…..)
Zoals je al begrepen had blijft de eerste klasse over voor witte VS burgers, al moet daarbij aangetekend worden dat de grote arme witte onderlaag bij lange na niet zo netjes wordt behandeld door de uiterst gewelddadige politie, waar de meer welgestelden met zijden handschoenen worden aangepakt door diezelfde politie als zij over de schreef zijn gegaan……
In de video wordt ingegaan op het gevaar dat Anderson en zijn collega’s lopen door het vuurwapengeweld dat zij met hun gewelddadige inzet tegen zichzelf uitlokken, waar de VS meer dan voldoende ‘goed opgeleide’ veteranen scherpschutters heeft, die een groot gevaar vormen voor de politie, zeker als deze op de ingeslagen weg van ongebreideld geweld doorgaan…. Vergeet daarbij niet dat de bedoelde veteranen voor een groot deel zwaar gefrustreerd zijn, mensen niet zelden met een posttraumatische stressstoornis (PTSS) voor wie de druppel die de emmer doet overlopen, op elk moment kan vallen…… Neem de veteraan scherpschutter die Washington DC lange tijd in haar greep hield door het willekeurig neerschieten van burgers….

Chris Floyd heeft een aangrijpend artikel geschreven op CounterPunch, waarin hij over zijn levenslange vriendschap schrijft met een man die niet ontkwam aan verslaving, niet in de laatste plaats daar hij in zijn jeugd regelmatig werd mishandeld door zijn aan alcohol (harddrug!) verslaafde vader en waar zijn moeder een chronisch patiënt was die in feite weinig voor hem kon betekenen.
Het steekt Floyd vooral over hoe men in de reguliere media en politiek over aan drugs verslaafde personen spreekt en waar men deze mensen op een smerige manier neerzet als waren het onmensen…..* Eén voorbeeld is al helemaal om totaal ziek van te worden: een sheriff durfde te zeggen dat een verslaafde, die als ‘draaideur crimineel’ (zonder meer een zieke Nederlandse aanduiding) zijn ziekte wilde misbruiken om eerder vrij te komen en tevens behandeld te worden…… Volgens de sheriff heeft de gevangene zijn kansen verspeeld……. De crimineel in kwestie zat in het vierde stadium van darmkanker, waarbij ook zijn lever al was aangetast, ofwel deze mens was terminaal ziek en had nog maar kort te leven en alsnog kon hij het vergeten eerder te worden vrijgelaten….. De sheriff in kwestie durfde te zeggen dat de gevangene zijn ziekte misbruikte om eerder vrij te komen, ofwel een terminaal zieke misbruikt zijn dodelijke kanker als ‘excuus’ volgens deze hufter >> kortom deze Sheriff is een totale inhumane psychopathische ploert……
Lees dit (nogmaals) aangrijpende artikel en geef ook commentaar als men mensen wegzet als een vals dier of als vuilnis, alleen omdat ze verslaafd zijn, vaak het gevolg van een vreselijke jeugd en dat in een ijskoude inhumane neoliberale prestatiemaatschappij, waar men geen tijd heeft voor psychische problemen (en in de VS geldt dit nog sterker als men niet verzekerd is en geen geld heeft…)…. Bovendien ziet het gros van de mensen niet dat alcohol een dodelijke harddrug is, waaraan alleen in ons land gemiddeld 12 mensen per dag sterven, echter daar het om alcohol gaat trekt men de schouders op en gaat door met de bezigheid waarmee men bezig was……
Als we onze maatschappij niet hervormen en de ‘neoliberale god’ (duivel) blijven eren, zullen nog velen psychisch ziek worden en /of verslaafd raken en zich het leven benemen….. De hoogste tijd voor een ministerie van geluk, gebruik daarvoor maar het meer dan belachelijke hoge budget voor oorlogsvoering (wat uiteindelijk velen het leven kost, terreur creëert en mensen in groten getale op de vlucht doet slaan):

My best friend from high school was in and out of the prison system the last two decades of his life. He was a drug addict. This was before the opioid epidemic; his poison was crack cocaine. His father had been a raging, violent alcoholic and his mother was a broken woman with chronic illnesses. My friend spent most of his adult life trying to take care of her.
His addiction put him in dire need of cash all the time, even as it made it impossible for him to hold a steady job. It drove him to do stupid things. He once stole my car and sold my son’s schoolbooks, which were in the back seat, to get some cash. He would bang on my door late at night, asking for some money to keep the dealers he owed from giving him a beat-down. He finally ended up stealing items from his mother’s house and pawning them. He went to jail for that, then for the next several years kept going back to jail for various probation violations: often for getting caught drinking in public somewhere.
He eventually did a 13-month stretch in state prison, where he danced a fine line between the violent, racially polarized gangs that the prison authorities allowed to run amok. He refused to join the white racists but was regarded warily by the black gangs. He got beatings from people on both sides but was also able, sometimes, to act as a peacemaker between them.
When he got out of the pen, his life continued largely as before. He tried to set himself up as an independent contractor, doing house repairs, roofing, carpet laying, yard work. His mother died. He had long lost custody of his only son. He still struggled with crack, but dulled his psychic pain mostly with alcohol. He died at some point in his fifties, found in his cheap apartment two or three days after his death, corpse bloated in the sweltering heat of a Tennessee summer.
That’s it. That was his life. That’s all he had. He was a dope addict. He was a convicted criminal. He was a repeat offender. He was a desperate liar and a thief. He was a lost soul of no use to the society he lived in and then he died. That’s it.
He was also — without exaggeration or nostalgic sentimentality — the kindest, most sweet-natured, open and gentle person you could ever meet. He loved music with a passion so deep it touched the core of the earth. His failings tormented him like hot coals. He couldn’t understand what had happened to him, why he couldn’t escape addiction, why his mind was so muddled, why it wouldn’t stop roaring long enough for him to ever gather himself and be real, be whole, be normal.
He was beaten and threatened all through his boyhood. Even in high school he was a nervous wreck. He used to sneak down to our house in the middle of the night after a row with his father and try to sleep in the hedgerow of our yard, or else on our back porch.
Fortunately, the dogs would always alert us, and we’d find him and bring him in, make a bed for him on the couch. He loved my family with a searing love that never abated for the 50 years he knew us.
I think of my friend whenever I hear some bullshit-bloated politician or commentator dismissing the humanity and dignity of criminals and prisoners. I thought of my friend today, when I read a story about Jonathan Faircloth, a 33-year-old prisoner in Alabama dying of colon and liver cancer that’s being left untreated by the authorities. He too was back in prison for probation violations — another drug addict who, while trying to make a normal life for his wife and children, got slam-banged by his addiction again.
I thought of my friend when I read the reply of Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon Horton after the Alabama media asked him about this human being left to die without treatment:
“He’s using his sickness as an excuse to get out of jail over and over again. In layman’s terms, he just ran out of his chances. So the judge revoked [his probation] and says he has to serve his days,” Horton said.
He is using his sickness — his Stage 4 colon cancer which has now spread to his liver and will kill him by next year if not before — as an “excuse.” An excuse. Stage 4 cancer as an excuse.
I read these words, and I think of the countless sons of bitches across the country — the dimwitted bulls in their stupid, prissy knit uniforms like this Etowah goober, the tee-shirted assholes pounding out inhumane bullshit on Twitter, the sleek politicians in designer suits, and the millions and millions of people committing spiritual suicide by attending to the brutal, barbaric blather of these walking, rotting husks.
I think of them, and I think of my friend — a parole-violating drug-addicted repeat-offending criminal of no use to the society he lived in — and I know — by God, I know! — which side I’m on.

Dat het hele justitiële systeem in de VS ziek is, zal nog weinigen verbazen (hoewel?) en ook het feit dat het gevangeniswezen, een verlengde van dat systeem, voor een groot deel is vercommercialiseerd (en zelfs aan de beurs is genoteerd) zal nog voor een enkeling nieuw zijn. Het Care 2 team is een petitie gestart voor de gevangenen in de VS, mensen die ronduit worden uitgebuit door bedrijven die samenwerken met gevangenissen.
In 20% van de VS staten is het gevangenissen toegestaan om samen met bedrijven te zorgen voor tablets t.b.v. gevangenen, zodat ze daarop boeken kunnen lezen en video contact kunnen hebben met partners, familie of vrienden…..
De laatste 20 jaar is het dagloon voor gevangenen gezakt van 93 naar 86 dollarcent per dag en van dat geld moeten gevangenen in de hiervoor aangehaalde gevangenissen sparen voor een boek en voor videocontact met geliefden of familie…. Voor het lezen van boeken op die tablets moeten gevangenen in West-Virginia 5 cent per minuut betalen, reken maar uit wat je kwijt bent als je over het lezen van een boek van 200 pagina’s tussen de 4 en 6 uur doet…… Voor 30 minuten videocontact betaal je in Missouri $ 7.50, dat is anderhalve week werk (in de tekst van Care2 staat een maandloon, echter dat klopt niet immers dat maandloon moet rond de 25 dollar per maand liggen, het zou kunnen dat Care2 is vergeten de prijs van de tablet mee te rekenen)
Wat betreft de uitlevering van gevangenen aan de VS, zou deze al lang moeten zijn verboden, gezien het meer dan manke en belachelijke justitiële systeem, een eerlijk proces krijgen in de VS is alleen mogelijk als je een ‘dikke advocaat’ kan betalen en dan nog is er het meer dan verachtelijke ‘plea bargain’ instrument, dit betekent dat je beter kan bekennen een misdaad te hebben gepleegd (ook al is ben je onschuldig) daar je een grote klans loopt anders nog veel langer vast te komen zitten….. Ook totaal naatje pet is het feit dat een heel groot deel van de gevangenissen zoals gezegd van een beursgenoteerd bedrijf zijn en ja die hebben belang bij zoveel mogelijk gevangenen, waarvoor ze zelfs lobbyen bij politiekorpsen……… Voorts wordt er in de gevangenissen steeds minder tijd gegeven aan bezoek voor gevangenen en worden ze minder vaak gelucht…… Me dunkt meer dan genoeg reden om nooit meer een gevangene uit te leveren aan de VS!!
Moet je nagaan dan schrijf ik niet eens over het feit dat de minderheid van de gekleurde bevolking is oververtegenwoordigd in de VS gevangenissen, het gevolg van etnisch profileren door de psychopathisch racistische politie van de VS……
Wij kunnen de petitie helaas niet tekenen, laten we hopen dat er in Nederland een petitie wordt gestart waarin van de regering wordt geëist niet langer gevangen over te leveren aan de totale willekeur in de VS! Hieronder de begeleidende tekst bij de petitie, daarna nog 2 video’s van Brasscheck TV over de politie en het gevangeniswezen in de VS. Hierin o.a. het feit dat steeds meer kinderen worden opgepakt voor het bezit van drugs (vaak cannabis), er is zelfs een plan om een nieuwe grote kindergevangenis te bouwen…… (hoe knettergek moet je zijn??) In die gevangenissen worden die kinderen juist gecriminaliseerd en niet zelden lid gemaakt van een neonazi bende……. Terwijl jonge kinderen die drugs (waaronder ik ook de harddrug alcohol versta) gebruiken juist psychische hulp nodig hebben, het laatste wat ze kunnen gebruiken is wel gevangenisstraf…….
Zoals het voorgaande al aangaf: de War on Drugs is terug van nooit weggeweest en de slachtoffers zijn intussen ontelbaar, of ze nu wel of niet zijn overleden dan wel vermoord…… In de tweede video van Brasscheck TV aandacht voor het feit dat de War on Drugs ook wordt gevoerd door het smokkelen van cocaïne door de CIA (overigens ook de DEA is daar in het verleden vaak op betrapt….)

For These Inmates, Reading One Book Could Cost Three Months’ Worth of Labor Wages. How Is This Fair?
America’s criminal justice system is broken. The incarceration rate has increased by 500% in the last 40 years, while crime rates have actually fallen. People from communities of color and low-income households are disproportionately locked up. Overcrowded facilities stretch state funds thin. Now, a new trend in a handful of states aims to bolster these funds by preying on what little money inmates have — all the while decreasing their access to the outside world.
Almost 20% of U.S. states have allowed their prison and jail facilities to partner with private companies to “provide” tablets to inmates for reading e-books and video conferencing with family. But these services come at a price.
For one minute of reading inside a West Virginia prison, for example, inmates are charged five cents. The average reader takes between four and six hours to read a 200-page book. For a video conference with loved ones in Missouri — a state that has seen policies shift to increasingly banned or restricted physical visits — 30 minutes costs $7.50. That’s more than an inmate’s entire monthly wage.
These prices are devastating. In the past 20 years, compensation for (often mandatory) labor in prisons and jails has dropped from 93 cents a day to 86 cents a day.
In facilities where access to reading materials and visits from the outside world are increasingly restricted, inmates are being forced to spend what little money they have on these precious resources. Educational materials and contact with loved ones are inherently tied to inmates’ success in reintegrating into the world once they are released. But the prison industrial complex doesn’t care, as long as there’s another dollar to make.

Het beest Trump merkte verder op dat hij contact met verschillende overheden heeft, om te zien wat er tegen dit geweld gedaan kan worden…… Lachen is niet gepast bij deze uitspraak, als die over wat te doen tegen ‘hate crimes’ (door racisme ingegeven fascistische moorden) in de VS, maar als er geen doden waren gevallen zou je je daadwerkelijk doodlachen……….
Trump weet dondersgoed wat hij kan doen: zelf direct stoppen met het haatzaaien tegen minderheden en het wapenbezit echt aanpakken en dat zal zoals je al begrepen had, niet gebeuren, zeker niet onder de vrouwonvriendelijke, haatzaaiende, psychopathische en geweld verheerlijkende rotzak Trump…… (overigens met zijn haatzaaien tegen Latino’s, zaait het beest Trump ook nog eens angst voor Latino’s, ofwel het recept voor het uitlokken van schietpartijen……)
Daarover gesproken, benieuwd hoeveel gevluchte Latino’s er bijvoorbeeld in de woestijn zijn vermoord door gekken die jagen op deze mensen……. Dit soort gekken en moordenaars, vrienden van de Trump administratie, worden niet aangepakt door de overheid in de VS, nee als je vluchtelingen met kinderen helpt in de woestijn door ze water, voedsel en medicatie te verstrekken, wordt je opgepakt en vastgezet…..
Beste bezoeker, vergeet vooral niet dat de vluchtelingen uit Latijns-Amerika, allen op de vlucht zijn vanwege de grote ellende die de VS daar heeft aangericht en nog steeds aanricht, zie de economische terreuroorlog van Trump en z’n naaste psychopaten tegen Venezuela, deze heeft tot nu toe aan naar schatting 40.000 mensen het leven gekost…….
Beste bezoeker, dit was het voor vandaag, morgen meer, ook al zal dat beperkt zijn vanwege een fikse valpartij. Vanmorgen is er toch een hersenschudding geconstateerd in het ziekenhuis en moet volgens de arts echt rustig aan doen (al heb ik daar geen moeite mee, waanzinnige hoofdpijn, gebutste ribbenkast en de rest, kan me verder ook moeilijk concentreren).
Vandaag is het 54 jaar geleden dat Malcolm X werd vermoord, hij was mensenrechtenactivist en strijder voor gelijke rechten t.b.v. de gekleurde bevolking.

Ondanks Martin Luther King Day op 21 januari in de VS, een officiële vrije dag, is er verder maar weinig veranderd in de VS, sinds de moord op MLK (waar maar één dader voor aangewezen kan worden: de FBI). Wat betreft de discriminatie van de gekleurde bevolking geldt hetzelfde: er is over het geheel gezien weinig veranderd, ondanks de acties van Martin Luther King en de officiële MLK dag, plus 2 termijnen Obama, de eerste gekleurde president van de VS…… De VS regering en zelfs de FBI eert MLK wel schijnheilig, maar zou hem haten als hij nog leefde (zie ook het neerschieten van gekleurden door de VS politie, waarbij de meerderheid van de slachtoffers niet eens bewapend was en is, immers dit gaat bijna dagelijks door in de VS…).
King was niet alleen een mensenrechtenactivist, maar ook een groot leider in het verzet tegen de VS oorlog in Vietnam, daarmee verdubbelde hij de inzet van de VS overheid en de FBI hem tot zwijgen te brengen……..
De FBI begon overigens al met het onderzoeken en dwarsbomen van King in 1955, je kan dan ook niet anders concluderen dan dat King werd gezien als een staatsvijand in de ogen van FBI en de opvolgende regeringen destijds….. Vooral de corrupte psychopaat Hoover, hoofd van de FBI had het niet op met King en dat heeft hij meermaals laten weten…. In de ogen van Hoover was King een communist…..
De schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel Matt Agorist, stelt volkomen terecht dat King ook heden ten dage als een gevaarlijke en invloedrijke staatsvijand zou zijn behandeld, dat zijn Facebook pagina al lang verwijderd zou zijn geweest (plus zijn Twitteraccount, Ap.) en hij te maken zou hebben met censuur en zeker zou zijn gedemoniseerd door de reguliere massamedia in de VS….
Lees het artikel van Agorist en geeft het door, veel te veel mensen in Nederland hebben de foute idee dat het allemaal wel goed zit in de VS wat betreft de behandeling van gekleurden….. Bovendien zijn er hele volksstammen die geloven dat de sociale media alleen maar kul en poezenfilmpjes laten zien, terwijl juist daar het echte nieuws is te vinden en waar de betekenis van dat nieuws wordt gebracht. Intussen lopen de reguliere massamedia braaf aan de leiband van hun rijke meesters, grote bedrijven en regeringen, waarbij men geen schroom heeft fake news en desinformatie te brengen, om zo het volk achter de machthebbers en rustig te houden…… Zelfs de illegale oorlogen van de VS (en haar terreurorganisatie NAVO) tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië worden door de media verdedigd als was het motief medemenselijkheid, waar het in werkelijkheid gaat om massamoorden en het veilig stellen van westerse belangen, zoals de olieproductie, waarbij alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen om het leven werden gebracht……. If Dr. King Was Alive Today, His Facebook Page Would Be Deleted, And He’d Be Censored
Martin Luther King Jr.’s pro-peace and antiwar stance would have made him an enemy to today’s establishment and he would have been censored.
When most people think of the great man, born Michael King on January 15, 1929, they see an advocate for peace, who is celebrated by the US government — honored every year in January, on the third Monday.
However, what the government tells us and what this great man did are two separate stories and had Dr. King been alive today, he would have been an enemy to the establishment who would have made every move they could to silence him.
Dr. King’s position as the leader of the Civil Rights Movement began after his election as spokesman for the Montgomery Improvement Association in December of 1955. What also started in that December of 1955 was the FBI’s investigation into him.
Like all those who stand against government-sanctioned violence, Dr. King was an enemy of the state. The fact that he’s celebrated today by the same state that persecuted him is quite Orwellian.
According to a report out of Stanford University titled, Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Global Freedom Struggle, the FBI had it out for Dr. King as soon as he began making waves.
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) began monitoring Martin Luther King, Jr., in December 1955, during his involvement with the Montgomery bus boycott, and engaged in covert operations against him throughout the 1960s. FBI director J. Edgar Hoover was personally hostile toward King, believing that the civil rights leader was influenced by Communists. This animosity increased after April 1964, when King called the FBI ‘‘completely ineffectual in resolving the continued mayhem and brutality inflicted upon the Negro in the deep South’’ (King, 23 April 1964). Under the FBI’s domestic counterintelligence program (COINTELPRO) King was subjected to various kinds of FBI surveillance that produced alleged evidence of extramarital affairs, though no evidence of Communist influence.
With a state that owes its very existence to the monopoly it holds on the use of violence, anyone who is pro-peace is a potential threat. This was the case in the 20th century just as it is the case in the 21st century. The fact that Americans take off of work one day in January, does not negate the reality that this struggle continues.
In fact, the government is still very engaged in fighting the antiwar and pro-peace narrative King so eloquently espoused. And they have no qualms talking about this in the open.
After deleting the pages of hundreds of antiwar and pro-peace media and activist outlets in October, last week, Facebook made another giant move to silence. This time, they had no problem noting that they went after pages whose specific missions were “anti-corruption” or “protest” movements.
“Some of the Pages frequently posted about topics like anti-NATO sentiment, protest movements, and anti-corruption,” Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy, Nathaniel Gleicher wrote in the blog post. “We are constantly working to detect and stop this type of activity because we don’t want our services to be used to manipulate people.”
Make no mistake, because Dr. King broke through the divisive paradigm and bridged the gap between different cultures so well, he would undoubtedly been a target of these tech giant censors who aim to keep you divided. The Atlantic Council would have likely had a special committee devoted to solely silencing his “dangerous” talks of peace.
Like Dr. King, however, many activists of today are unafraid of speaking truth to power, even when faced with police action and censorship.
Like the activists of today, Dr. King’s activism was often met with brutal backlash from police. Just like the protesters of today, who peacefully march in solidarity to end police violence and war, the protesters of the 50s and 60s were met with violence from the police.
Attacks against non-violent protesters are nothing new. In the 60s, as the marches increased, so did the attacks against non-violent demonstrators.
“There may be some tear gas ahead. But I say to you today, that I’d rather die on the highways of Alabama, than make a butchery of my conscience,” said Dr. King in his famous speech just prior to the Selma-Montgomery march in which protesters were met with such violence from police that the day would be forever remembered as “Bloody Sunday.”
The first march took place on March 7, 1965, and it gained the nickname “Bloody Sunday” after its 600 marchers were attacked at the Edmund Pettus Bridge after leaving Selma; state troopers and county posse attacked the unarmed marchers with billy clubs and tear gas.
Does this type of police reaction to protests sound familiar?
Dr. King was no stranger to police and being arrested, in fact, during his 12-year run as the leader of the civil rights movement, he was arrested 30 times.
Today, there is a good chance Dr. King would be referred to as a ‘thug’ by a large portion of society — and police — for his activism.
Dr. King, like many of the protesters of today, stood against state violence and war. Those who wage the wars and initiate the violence, delegating a single day in January to honor a man who stood against their very tactics, is defamatory to this struggle for peace, to say the least.
So, while you are out there today, enjoying the day off, remember that this struggle is far from over. There are countless individuals continuing to try to live in the way Dr. King advocated for and who face constant bombardment from the establishment for doing so.
As long as innocence is lost to those who claim to protect it, the conflict remains. As long as people of all races are harassed, kidnapped, locked in cages or killed over victimless crimes, our strife will persist.
Not until the corruptions ceases, not until all the troops are brought home, not until a person can do with their own body as they see fit, not until the brute force changes to compassion, will the perpetual struggle of Dr. King and all those before and after him, be complete.
