De
volkomen belachelijke situatie waar de VS een interim-president heeft
aangewezen in het soevereine land Venezuela, leidt tot o.a. heftige situaties bij de
Venezolaanse ambassade in Washington. Deze interim-president, Juan Guaidó, is een fascist die voor deze handeling van de VS, gesteund door o.a. Canada
en de EU, niet eens bekend was bij meer dan 95% van de Venezolanen……
Deze Guaidó werd door de terreuradministratie Trump, in samenwerking met diensten als de CIA en NSA, plus de onvoorwaardelijke steun van de reguliere westerse media en politici, gebombardeerd tot
oppositieleider in Venezuela……. In werkelijkheid was Guaidó de voorzitter van een
onbetekenende oppositionele splinterpartij…. Niet voor niets ook dat hij voor zijn ultieme couppoging tegen het democratisch gekozen bewind van Maduro, slechts een paar honderd mensen op straat kreeg….
Met deze
terreurdaad* van de VS tegen een soeverein land, zijn ook de
ambassades van Venezuela in het buitenland niet veilig. Het
ambassadepersoneel in Washington mag niet meer worden voorzien van
voedsel, daarvoor zorgen politie, geheime dienst en gewelddadige
Venezolanen die in de VS wonen……. Met veel geweld worden mensen
belaagd en zelfs gearresteerd, mensen die het opnemen voor het zittende
ambassade personeel en hen voedsel proberen te geven…… Intussen heeft de VS de elektriciteit en het water voor de ambassade afgesloten; de terreur van de VS kent letterlijk geen grenzen……
Zo werd Gerry Condone (van Veterans for Peace >> VFP) met fiks geweld door meerdere agenten tegen de grond gewerkt, daar hij het ambassadepersoneel een komkommer toegooide…… Voor dit feit werd hij 24 uur vastgehouden in een politiecel……. Hoe is het gvd mogelijk??!!!
Ongelofelijk
dat de VN niet al lang de VS heeft opgeroepen de Venezolaanse
soevereiniteit te respecteren en het ambassade personeel ongemoeid te
laten, zeker nu blijkt dat de bevolking van Venezuela voor het
overgrote deel nog steeds achter haar democratisch gekozen president Maduro staat……
De
schrijver van het volgende artikel, Ray McGovern, ziet voorts een
opvallende gelijkenis tussen het VS van de 21ste en het nazi-Duitse terreurbewind in de 20ste eeuw. Hiervoor citeert hij o.a. Raimond Pretzel, die schreef onder de naam Sebastian Haffner. Opvallend in dit deel van het artikel het feit dat de sociaal democratische top zich bijzonder snel aansloot bij de nazi’s, nog voordat deze partij, de SPD, werd verboden…… Maart 1933 zouden een paar miljoen Duitsers klaar zijn geweest voor de strijd tegen het nazisme, echter hun leiders lieten het afweten en collaboreerden met het nazi-geteisem, anderen ontvluchtten het land….

Clearing House” – Gerry
Condon, President of Veterans For Peace, was bloodied and “taken to
ground,” on Wednesday night for trying to get food to people inside
the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington. The activists inside, some of
whom have lived in the embassy for weeks with permission from the
Venezuelan government, are protecting the premises from protestors
who support the self-declared president Juan Guaido.
With
the acquiescence of Washington police and the Secret Service, the
protestors have been able to block food from entering the embassy.
On Wednesday night electricity was cut to the building. One
activist tossing a loaf of bread to a window was arrested earlier
this week for using a “missile.” Now Condon has been
manhandled and nabbed for throwing a cucumber.
We
are at the point Edward Snowden described as “turnkey tyranny.”
On Wednesday night the key was turned a bit more dramatically. Until
now it has been an almost imperceptibly gradual process, like the
proverbial frog in boiling water.

words in this article I
wrote for Consortium

December 27, 2007:
“There
are few things as odd as the calm, superior indifference with which I
and those like me watched the beginnings of the Nazi revolution in
Germany, as if from a box at the theater. … Perhaps the only
comparably odd thing is the way that now, years later….”
The
words are those of Sebastian Haffner (pen name for Raimund Pretzel),
who as a young lawyer in Berlin during the 1930s experienced the Nazi
takeover, and wrote a first-hand account.
His children found the manuscript when he died in 1999 and published
it the following year as “Geschichte eines Deutschen” (The Story
of a German).
The
book became an immediate bestseller and has been translated into 20
languages—in English as “Defying Hitler.”
I
recently learned from his daughter Sarah, an artist in Berlin,
that today is
the 100th anniversary of
Haffner’s birth. She had seen an earlier article in which I quoted
her father and e-mailed to ask me to “write some more about the
book and the comparison to Bush’s America. … This is almost
unbelievable.”
More
about Haffner below. Let’s set the stage first by recapping some of
what has been going on here in the U.S. that may have resonance for
readers familiar with the Nazi ascendancy, noting how “odd” it is
that the frontal attack on our Constitutional rights is met with such
“calm, superior indifference.”
After
suppressing for two and a half years the explosive story of the
Bush/Cheney surveillance of Americans in gross violation of the
Fourth Amendment, top New York Times officials decided to
let the rest of us in on the fact that the George W. Bush
administration had been eavesdropping on American citizens without
the court warrants required by the Foreign
Intelligence Surveillance
Act (FISA) of 1978. Not to mention the U.S. Constitution.
The Times had
learned of this well before the election in 2004 and acquiesced to
White House entreaties to suppress the damaging information.
In
late fall 2005 when Times correspondent James Risen’s
book, “State of War: the Secret History of the CIA and the Bush
Administration,” revealing the warrantless eavesdropping was being
printed, Times publisher, Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.,
recognized that he could procrastinate no longer.
It
would simply be too embarrassing to have Risen’s book on the
street, with Sulzberger and his associates pretending that this
explosive eavesdropping story did not fit Adolph Ochs’s trademark
criterion: All The News That’s Fit To Print.
(The Times’
own ombudsman, Public Editor Byron Calame, branded the newspaper’s
explanation for the long delay in publishing this story “woefully
inadequate.”)
When
Sulzberger told his friends in the White House that he could no
longer hold off on publishing in the newspaper, he was summoned to
the Oval Office for a counseling session with the president on Dec.
5, 2005. Bush tried in vain to talk him out of putting the story in
the Times.
The
truth would out; part of it, at least.
Unnamed
Program
What
followed struck me as bizarre. The day after the Dec.
16 Times feature article exposing the
Fourth-Amendment-trashing program, the president of the United States
publicly admitted to a demonstrably impeachable offense.
Authorizing
illegal electronic surveillance was a key provision of the second
article of impeachment against President Richard Nixon. On July 27,
1974, this and two other articles of impeachment were approved by
bipartisan votes in the House Judiciary Committee.
Bush
took a frontal approach, Far from expressing regret, he bragged about
having authorized the surveillance “more than 30 times since the
September the 11th attacks,” and said he would continue to do so.
The president also said:
“Leaders
in Congress have been briefed more than a dozen times on this
authorization and the activities conducted under it.”
On
Dec. 19, 2005, then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and then-NSA
Director Michael Hayden held a press conference to answer questions
about the as yet unnamed surveillance program.
Gonzales
was asked why the White House decided to flout FISA rather than
attempt to amend it, choosing instead a “backdoor approach.”
He answered:
“We
have had discussions with Congress…as to whether or not FISA could
be amended to allow us to adequately deal with this kind of threat,
and we were advised that that would be difficult, if not impossible.”
It
Had to Do With Us
It
was not difficult to
infer that the surveillance program must
have been of such scope and intrusiveness that, even amid highly
stoked fear, it didn’t have a prayer for passage.
It
turns out we didn’t know the half of it.
Bear
in mind that when this illegal surveillance program began, it had
nothing to do with terrorism, an issue that did not really appear on
the new administration’s radar screen until a week before 9/11. …
So this until-recently-unknown pre-9/11 facet of the “Terrorist
Surveillance Program” was not related to Osama bin Laden or to
whomever he and his associates might be speaking. It had to do with
us.
We
know that the Democrats briefed on the “Terrorist Surveillance
Program” include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, (the one with
the longest tenure on the House Intelligence Committee), Rep. Jane
Harman, D-California, and former and current chairmen of the Senate
Intelligence Committee, Bob Graham, D-FL, and Jay Rockefeller, D-WV,
respectively.
May
one interpret their lack of public comment on the news that the
snooping began well before 9/11 as a sign they were co-opted and then
sworn to secrecy?
It
is an important question. Were the appropriate leaders in Congress
informed that within days of George W. Bush’s first inauguration
the NSA electronic vacuum cleaner began to suck up information on you
and me, despite the FISA law and the Fourth Amendment?
Are
they all complicit? And are Democratic leaders about to cave in and
grant retroactive immunity to those telecommunications
corporations—AT&T and Verizon—which made millions by winking
at the law and the Constitution?
(Qwest,
to its credit, heeded the advice of its general counsel who said that
what NSA wanted done was clearly illegal.)
What’s
going on here? [December 2007] Have congressional leaders no
sense for what is at stake?
Lately
the adjective “spineless” has come into vogue in describing
congressional Democrats—no offense to invertebrates.
Nazis
and Their Enablers
You
don’t have to be a Nazi. You can just be, well, a sheep.
In
his journal, Sebastian Haffner decries what he calls the “sheepish
submissiveness” with which the German people reacted to a 9/11-like
event, the burning of the German Parliament (Reichstag) on Feb. 27,
1933.
Haffner
finds it quite telling that none of his acquaintances “saw anything
out of the ordinary in the fact that, from then on, one’s telephone
would be tapped, one’s letters opened, and one’s desk might be
broken into.”
But
it is for the cowardly politicians that Haffner reserves his most
vehement condemnation. Do you see any contemporary parallels here?
In
the elections of March 4, 1933, shortly after the Reichstag fire, the
Nazi party garnered only 44 percent of the vote. Only the “cowardly
treachery” of the Social Democrats and other parties to whom 56
percent of the German people had entrusted their votes made it
possible for the Nazis to seize full power. Haffner adds:
“It
is in the final analysis only that betrayal that explains the almost
inexplicable fact that a great nation, which cannot have consisted
entirely of cowards, fell into ignominy without a fight.”
The
Social Democratic leaders betrayed their followers—“for the most
part decent, unimportant individuals.” In May, the party leaders
sang the Nazi anthem; in June the Social Democratic party was
dissolved.
The
middle-class Catholic party Zentrum folded in less than a month, and
in the end supplied the votes necessary for the two-thirds majority
that “legalized” Hitler’s dictatorship.
As
for the right-wing conservatives and German nationalists: “Oh God,”
writes Haffner, “what an infinitely dishonorable and cowardly
spectacle their leaders made in 1933 and continued to make afterward.
… They went along with everything: the terror, the persecution of
Jews. … They were not even bothered when their own party was banned
and their own members arrested.”
In
sum: “There was not a single example of energetic defense, of
courage or principle. There was only panic, flight, and desertion. In
March 1933, millions were ready to fight the Nazis. Overnight they
found themselves without leaders. … At the moment of truth, when
other nations rise spontaneously to the occasion, the Germans
collectively and limply collapsed. They yielded and capitulated, and
suffered a nervous breakdown. … The result is today the nightmare
of the rest of the world.”
This
is what can happen when virtually all are intimidated.
Our
Founding Fathers were not oblivious to this; thus, James Madison
wrote:
“I
believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedom of the
people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by
violent and sudden usurpations. … The means of defense against
foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at
home.”
We
cannot say we weren’t warned.

Blijkbaar nooit van ‘bij verstek veroordeeld’ gehoord, daarbij kan een verdachte worden veroordeeld, ook al zit deze ergens in het buitenland ondergedoken, voorwaarde is dat er dan voldoende bewijs voorhanden moet zijn tegen de verdachte……
Juist bij dat laatste wringt de schoen van het OM in Zweden, immers men stelde daar eerder dat er geen bewijs was gevonden voor de schuld van Assange, ofwel deze aanklacht werd alleen ingediend om Assange uit te kunnen leveren aan de VS…… Uitermate vreemd dan ook dat het Zweedse OM nu toch doorgaat met deze zaak en daarom het teken dat de VS de grote verantwoordelijke is op de achtergrond….
Blijkbaar laat ook Zweden net als GB de oren hangen naar de eis tot uitlevering van Assange door de VS….. Grote kans dat Assange wordt uitgeleverd aan Zweden, waarna deze in een schertsproces wordt vrijgesproken van schuld, waarna hij direct wordt vastgenomen en in zeer korte tijd zal worden uitgeleverd, op basis van een hele berg VS leugens…..
‘‘Journalisten’ tegen openheid‘ (‘journalisten’ waaronder Jan Kuitenbrouwer en de intussen overleden Max van Weezel, al wordt de laatste niet in dat bericht genoemd. Van Weezel zei een paar jaar geleden letterlijk dat hij ‘zich voor kan stellen’ berichten voor het publiek achter te houden, m.a.w.: dat heeft hij daadwerkelijk gedaan, waarom zou je dit anders melden als ‘journalist..?’)
Nadat
een rechter schijt had aan internationale regels voor levering van
wapens aan een land dat daarmee oorlogsmisdaden begaat, hebben
activistische burgers voorkomen dat wapens met bestemming
Saoedi-Arabië op een schip met die bestemming werden geladen.
Ongelofelijk
dat de enorme plork en neoliberale ploert Macron eerder nog de
levering van wapens aan S-A heeft verdedigd, terwijl hij moet weten
dat o.a. met Franse wapens een genocide in Jemen wordt
uitgevoerd……
Onbegrijpelijk en onverdraaglijk dat een rechter de wapenexport naar Saoedi-Arabië heeft goedgekeurd……. De Franse rechter bewijst daarmee nog eens dat Frankrijk lak heeft aan VN regels* als het haar zo uitkomt, bovendien is dit een teken dat de Franse rechterlijke macht allesbehalve onafhankelijk is…… Nogmaals: weg met de EU en een herinvoering van de EEG, onder dat verdrag is een douane unie in wat nu de EU wordt genoemd, heel goed te handhaven!
De
schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Andrea Germanos,
spreekt over duizenden slachtoffers in Jemen, terwijl dat
honderdduizenden slachtoffers moeten zijn……
Hoe is
het mogelijk dat men een zo grote bek heeft over de democratische
gekozen Venezolaanse president Maduro, terwijl de reguliere westerse
media en politici de mond houden over de genocide die de Saoedische
terreurcoalitie, met hulp van de VS, GB en Frankrijk uitvoert in
buurland Jemen…??? Schaamteloos!!

Activists Successfully Block Saudi Ship From Loading Weapons
(CD) — A
human rights organization called it
a “victory for mobilized civil society” when a Saudi cargo ship
left France on Friday without a planned batch of weapons.
France,
along with other Western countries including the U.S. and U.K., has
been supplying arms to Saudi Arabia, which is leading the coalition
bombing Yemen. In so doing, say human
rights campaigners, they “risk complicity in committing grave
violations of the laws of war.”
Leaked
classified French military documents published last month showed that
French weapons are being widely
used in
the coalition’s bombing campaign “including
in civilian zones.”
The conflict has already killed thousands
of civilians.

Fearing
that the new shipment of weapons could be used against the Yemeni
civilian population, French rights group Christians for the Abolition
of Torture (ACAT-France) filed a
legal challenge Thursday to block a new batch of French weapons from
being loaded onto the Saudi vessel the Bahri Yanbu at the French port
city of Le Havre. The ship had been anchored 15 miles offshore since
late Wednesday.
The
weapons, said ACAT,
would violate one article of the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty.
“The
article says that one country cannot authorize the transfer of
weapons, if at the time of the authorization, the country knew that
weapons could be used to commit war crimes,” said lawyer
Joseph Brehem, speaking on behalf of ACAT.
While
ACAT didn’t win their case, the ship nonetheless did not dock to
pick up the shipment, but instead moved on to Spain.
A
French judge threw out that legal challenge but the Bahri-Yanbu set
course for Santander shortly after minus the weapons, officials said
and ship-tracking data showed.
The
saga is an embarrassment for [French] President Emmanuel Macron, who
on Thursday defended arms sales to Saudi Arabia.
ACAT-France
praised the development, saying that it happened not as a result from
a judge but because of an activated citizenry who sounded alarm about
the weapons.
It’s
clear, said Bernadette
Forhan, president of the organization, “that French civil society
can constitute a real opposition force to international interests
that undermine the fundamental rights of millions of people.”
*Daarnaast kan je stellen dat Frankrijk samen met Duitsland in feite de EU voor een groot deel regeren en schijt hebben aan de afgesproken regels binnen de EU, waar deze 2 landen deze regels wel proberen af te dwingen bij andere EU-lidstaten en dat ook daadwerkelijk regelmatig voor elkaar krijgen, zie Griekenland….. Vannacht in het BBC World Service radionieuws van 2.00 u. het bericht dat een vrouw is gearresteerd die verantwoordelijk zou zijn voor de verspreiding van een poster met daarop ‘de maagd Maria’ die samen met baby Jezus een aureool heeft in LGBT regenboogkleuren.
De 51 jarige vrouw wordt o.a. ten last gelegd dat ze een afbeelding van een heilige heeft ontheiligd….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Let wel: het gaat hier om ‘ontheiliging’ van een fictieve persoon uit een boosaardig sprookjesboek…. Voorts wordt de vrouw belediging van religieuze gevoelens ten laste gelegd……
Mede verantwoordelijk voor de hysterie die over de affiches ontstond was de fascistische PiS partij……. Een woordvoerder van die partij noemt de afbeelding een aanval op kinderen en families, waar hij aan toevoegde dat dit een ‘seksualisering’ is van kinderen….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Door kinderen te verkankeren middels hersenspoeling met het religieuze gif, zorg je juist dat kinderen volkomen gestoorde ideeën krijgen over liefde en seks, ofwel je voedt kinderen op tot seksueel gefrustreerde wezens, wat de meesten de rest van het leven blijven…….. Niet voor niets dat er in religieuze kringen zo enorm veel kindermisbruik plaatsvindt…..
Polen anno 2019, een EU-lidstaat, is het niet om je kapot te lachen, wat een stelletje gekken, jezus!!
E.e.a. toont nog eens aan waar het naartoe kan gaan met de EU als conservatieve en fascistische krachten steeds meer macht vergaren in Brussel/Straatsburg!
Vanmorgen op BBC World Service aandacht voor het werken in gevangenissen in de VS. Gevangenen worden in feite gedwongen om mee te doen aan het fabriceren van diverse zaken in de gevangenis, daar ze anders bepaalde privileges kwijtraken…….
De gevangenen krijgen voor hun werk t.b.v. vele bedrijfstakken 90 dollarcent per uur…… Ofwel je kan dit werk niet anders aanduiden dan als slavenarbeid, uiterst wrang dan te zien, dat vooral de gekleurde minderheid oververtegenwoordigd is in die gevangenissen….. Na de afschaffing van de slavernij, in de VS zo’n 160 jaar geleden, worden nog steeds gekleurde mensen misbruikt als slaaf……
Vorig jaar was de winst op die slavenarbeid in gevangenissen: 1 miljard dollar….!!!
Het gevangeniswezen in de VS is voor het grootste deel geprivatiseerd, bedrijven zelfs met een koersnotering aan de beurs…. Niet vreemd dus dat deze bedrijven een sterke lobby hebben bij het bestuur van staten en in Washington DC voor de gehele VS, een lobby die tekeergaat als men bepaalde overtredingen, als drugsgebruik uit het strafrecht wil halen…..
Tel het voorgaande op bij het meer dan achterlijke rechtssysteem in de VS, waar je beter een misdaad kan bekennen, ook al heb je deze niet begaan, daar je anders de grote kans loopt op een veel langere gevangenisstraf, ‘plea bargain’ noemt men dit…..
Onbegrijpelijk en schandalig dat Nederland nog steeds ook eigen burgers uitlevert aan de VS met haar totaal gecorrumpeerde rechtssysteem, waar het hooggerechtshof zelfs door de opvolgende presidenten mag worden samengesteld……..
Kortom de VS dat zo vaak een grote bek heeft over de schending van mensenrechten elders, toont ten overvloede nog eens aan zelf één van de grootste mensenrechtenschenders ter wereld te zijn, dezelfde vereniging van staten, die zoveel landen in diepe ellende heeft gestort met haar grootschalige terreur (meestal gesteund door de NAVO, waarover de VS het militaire opperbevel heeft…), terroriseert ook haar eigen burgers………
Beste bezoeker, dan te bedenken dat andere westerse landen de VS nog steeds als het grote voorbeeld zien, hoe blind kan je ziende zijn….??!!!
In het programma Interne Keuken van zaterdag 13 april jl. een boekbespreking. Het ging in dit geval over het boek ‘The Uninhabitable Earth: Life After Warming’ van David Wallace-Wells, dat in februari dit jaar werd gepubliceerd.
In zijn boek gaat Wallace-Wells in op de gevolgen van klimaatverandering en stelt hij na onderzoek dat er 150 miljoen slachtoffers zullen vallen als de temperatuur van de aarde met een halve graad zal zijn gestegen……
Volgens Wallace-Wells is dat vooral te danken aan de tegen die tijd nog verder verpeste luchtkwaliteit, ofwel zij zullen vooral sterven aan de gevolgen van de luchtvervuiling…..* Vergeet verder niet dat meer mensen zullen verdrinken bij overstromingen, of bedolven raken onder modderstromen, dit door de verhevigde natuurrampen, maar ook het aantal misoogsten zal steeds groter worden, waardoor het aantal mensen dat overlijdt van honger en ondervoeding ook fiks zal stijgen……
Wallace-Wells stelt dat we een aantal effecten van deze desastreuze gevolgen al hebben kunnen zien, zoals de 7.000 doden die in 2010 in Moskou vielen ten gevolge van een hittegolf, of wat dacht je van de 14.000 doden die in Frankrijk in datzelfde jaar te betreuren waren vanwege de enorme hitte…….
Bij een stijging van 4,5 graad C. zal een groot deel van de aarde onbewoonbaar worden (zoals nu al streken in Australië, Azië en Oceanië en de VS onbewoonbaar dreigen te worden)…… Mocht de temperatuur met 8 graden stijgen, zal twee derde van de steden op aarde verdwijnen onder de golven…..
Zoals meerdere deskundigen zeggen is een stijging van 2 graden Celsius of minder tegen het eind van deze eeuw al niet meer te halen….. (er zijn zelfs deskundigen die stellen dat we blij mogen zijn als de stijging van de temperatuur op 4 graden C. zal blijven steken…..)
Het grote aantal weergerelateerde rampen die Wallace-Wells voorspelt, zullen niet tegen het eind van deze eeuw plaatsvinden, maar veel eerder, hij voorspelt binnen 20 of 30 jaar……..
‘Gelukkig’ zat er een eerste klas zakkenwasser in de studio die stelde dat de doden die in 2010 te betreuren waren in Moskou en Frankrijk, toch wel zouden zijn overleden….. Wat een ploert moet je zijn om dat te zeggen, uiteraard gaan de zwakste mensen (waaronder veel kinderen) als eerste dood bij een extreme hittegolf, echter dat wil niet zeggen dat je dan maar niets moet doen, onvermijdbaar volgen na de zwakste mensen, de wat minder zwakke en daarna de nog minder zwakke mensen, enz. enz.
* In Nederland overlijden er na een akelig ziekbed nu al jaarlijks rond de 18.000 Nederlanders aan de gevolgen van langdurige inademing van auto-uitlaatgassen, voorts loopt een groot aantal kinderen long- en of luchtwegklachten op door diezelfde uitstoot……
Gistermorgen even geluisterd naar ‘Ask me Anything’ met de lullende lachzak en ‘o zo leuke’ presentator Raymann op BNR. Zo rond 11.15 u. stemde ik af op de zender toen men sprak over de netbeheerders, die hebben laten weten dat wanneer in de nabije toekomst iedereen op ongeveer hetzelfde moment de stekker van hun auto in het stopcontact steekt (vlak voordat de spruiten worden opgediend), het net dit niet aankan…..
Volgens één van de gesprekspartners (geen zin en tijd om uit te zoeken wie) is dat geen probleem daar er ‘slimme laders’ zullen zijn, die pas gaan laden als er niet veel gebruik van elektriciteit wordt gemaakt, waardoor de stroomprijs ook nog eens lager zal zijn……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Als iedereen een ‘slimme lader’ zal hebben, zullen die waarschijnlijk allemaal hetzelfde doen, op hetzelfde moment, ofwel het net zal het alsnog niet aankunnen en de stroomkosten zullen vanwege de grote vraag hoog zijn…..*
Weet niet hoe het momenteel met de kwaliteit van accu’s is gesteld, maar de accu’s die ik ken, moet je zo ver mogelijk leegrijden** en daarna in één keer opladen, daar het opladen in delen op verschillende tijden de kwaliteit van de accu niet ten goede komt…..
Het inzetten op elektrisch rijden middels accu’s is de dood in de pot: ten eerste is het maken van accu’s, van delving van grondstoffen tot en met de fabricage een uitermate vervuilend proces….. Ten tweede zijn deze auto’s zwaar door de accu’s en ten derde moeten er een enorm aantal laadpalen worden geplaatst in de straten, waardoor het straatbeeld er allesbehalve op vooruit zal gaan, daarnaast is de fabricage van die laadpalen een uiterst vervuilende bezigheid……
Je kan bovendien nog twisten over de vraag of we allemaal zo nodig in een blik moeten rijden, waarvan de fabricage ook al vervuilend is……
Er is maar één manier van redelijk schoon autorijden en dat is middels waterstof. Nederlandse studenten, ik dacht van TU Delft, hebben een procedé ontwikkeld om van waterstof gedroogde (lichtgewicht) korrels te maken. Deze korrels zouden middels cassettes in de auto kunnen worden geplaatst, waarna er nog water moet worden toegevoegd en je hebt waterstof waarmee je elektriciteit maakt voor de elektromotor. Het procedé waarmee men waterstofkorrels kan maken schijnt zelfs te kunnen worden gedaan met duurzame energie…..
Maar nee, de grote bedrijven hebben met hun giga lobby in de politiek al voor ons beslist dat we elektrisch moeten rijden middels accu’s, die tijdens het laden ook nog eens in de fik kunnen vliegen, zoals dat ook een aantal scootmobielen een aantal keren overkwam……..
Tot slot: ook de accu-bus is een peperdure, domme oplossing, voor een niet bestaand probleem, immers er is al minstens 80 jaar ervaring met trolleybussen, die met hun motoren makkelijk een paar miljoen kilometer kunnen draaien. Ze zijn veel lichter dan trams en accu-bussen en veroorzaken geen problemen voor oude fundamenten van huizen en andere gebouwen, bovendien kunnen ze i.t.t. een tram wel uitwijken voor onvoorzichtige weggebruikers. Niet onbelangrijk ook: de trolleybus heeft geen rails nodig en die moeten bijvoorbeeld in een stad als Den Haag om de paar jaar gerenoveerd worden, waardoor je o.a. met wegafsluitingen en veel herrie te maken hebt……
* E.e.a. zal ook voor de niet autobezitters zorgen voor een hogere stroomprijs, immers er zullen geen daluren overblijven……..
** Om de kwaliteit van de accu op peil te houden, dit geldt ook voor elektrische fietsen, zorg daarom altijd dat je een tweede accu koopt als je een e-fiets koopt)
PS: nog een tip als je een elektrische tandenborstel gebruikt, ontlaadt die 2 keer per jaar, om deze daarna volledig te vullen alvorens deze weer te gebruiken, daarmee gaat de accu van de tandenborstel vele jaren mee, zelfs tot meer dan 10 jaar!
Follow the Money heeft onderzoek gedaan naar Nederlandse subsidie voor (startende) biotechbedrijven, die nieuwe medicijnen ontwikkelen. Nu blijkt dat deze bedrijven na een paar jaar over de grens verdwijnen, waarna de ontwikkelde medicijnen voor kapitalen op de Nederlandse markt verschijnen, schrik niet maar het kan gaan om medicijnen die per patiënt kunnen oplopen van duizenden euro’s per jaar tot bedragen van meer dan één miljoen euro per jaar (nogmaals: per patiënt)………
Niet zelden worden startups, die met veelbelovend medicijnonderzoek bezig zijn, overgenomen door de grote farmaceuten, schatrijke bedrijven die landen wereldwijd leegtrekken met de schunnig hoge prijzen voor hun medicijnen…. Waar niet vergeten moet worden dat deze farmaceuten aan marketing, dus voor het aan de mens brengen van medicijnen, tot 30 keer meer uitgeven dan aan de ontwikkeling van die medicijnen…….
Hoe is het gvd bijvoorbeeld mogelijk dat hare VVD kwaadaardigheid Schippers een paar jaar lang loog dat ze de medicijnprijzen zo laag had gekregen, dat ze werkelijk geen cent goedkoper konden worden aangeboden, terwijl tegelijkertijd VVD Obersturmbannführer Kamp op Economische Zaken, bedrijven met miljoenen aan subsidie heeft gesteund die aan de ontwikkeling van medicijnen werkten…… Medicijnen die het ministerie van Volksgezondheid (onder Schippers) later kapitalen hebben gekost……* (trouwens waarvoor ook nog een eigen bijdrage van de patiënt werd gevraagd, terwijl die NB via de belasting aan de ontwikkeling van die medicatie heeft meebetaald….)
Op BNR vanmorgen (na 8.30 u.) Esther de Haan van SOMO over deze zaak, SOMO het bedrijf dat volgens presentator van Werven, het onderzoek zou hebben gedaan, terwijl dat zoals gezegd Follow the Money moet zijn…. Volgens de Haan is het niet bekend om welke bedragen het precies gaat, maar het moet om vele miljoenen gaan….. Echter volgens Follow the Money kreeg één zo’n startup in 2013 een bedrag van 2,7 miljoen euro aan belastinggeld……
Gistermorgen was Wim Groot, hoogleraar gezondheidseconomie aan de universiteit van Maastricht, te horen op BNR, waar deze plork probeerde te verklaren waarom de Nederlandse gezondheidszorg de duurste is van de EU (voor de burgers). Volgens Groot ligt dat vooral aan onze uitgebreide zorg, zoals die voor ouderen, terwijl vooral de posten huur van peperdure design gebouwen, of kosten voor dat soort gebouwen in eigendom, plus de kosten voor peperdure medische apparaten (waar de leveranciers prijsafspraken maken, zoals af en toe weer blijkt), de hoge kosten voor directie en specialisten en de kosten voor onbeschoft dure medicijnen de zorg zo enorm duur maken…..
Oh vergeet ik nog een belangrijke postenkost: die van de zorgverzekeraars, deze schoftenbedrijven vreten intussen zelf een fiks stuk van de zorgtaart op, ook al met peperdure designgebouwen, een loodzware overbetaalde top en met marketingskosten die ook in de ettelijke miljoenen lopen op jaarbasis……
De hoogste tijd om de bezem door al deze zaken te halen en de ziekenfondsen in ere te herstellen!
Als je voor de EU verkiezingen gaat stemmen later deze maand, onthoudt dan waar VVD, CDA, PvdA, D66, CU en SGP voor staan: een peperdure gezondheidszorg, die samen met de giga huren de grote onderlaag van meer dan 4 miljoen mensen (inclusief rond de 600.000 kinderen) in onze maatschappij arm houden…….
* Dit zal maar zelden zijn gebeurd, daar de toelating van medicijnen veelal meerdere jaren op zich kan laten wachten. Wel heeft Schippers te maken gehad met peperdure medicijnen, die eerder al met kennis van Nederlandse universiteiten en middels eerdere innovatiesubsidies werden ontwikkeld…… Schippers en Kamp moeten overigens op de hoogte zijn geweest van deze smerige gang van zaken….. Ach ja beiden van misdadigers partij VVD, wat wil je???
Zoals
hier de werkloosheidscijfers worden gemanipuleerd, zo wordt er in de
VS gegoocheld met banencijfers, niet onbelangrijk daar psychopaat
Trump zich al heeft uitgeroepen tot ‘de beste banenpresident
ooit……’
Hier
worden de werkloosheidscijfers gemanipuleerd door de politiek, het
CBS en andere bureaus (zoals het CPB), die de zittende regering
dienen met goochel cijfers. Zo wordt je niet meegerekend als
werkloos zijnde, wanneer je partner 10 cent meer verdiend dan het bedrag
waarboven je geen recht kan doen gelden op een bijstandsuitkering (leuk ook voor vrouwen, die daarmee na hun werkloosheidsuitkering weer totaal afhankelijk worden van ‘manlief…’)…. Zelfs al heb je
30 jaar aan een stuk gewerkt, na de werkloosheidsuitkering van een
paar jaar, krijg je geen cent bijstand, vanwege het bedrag dat je partner
verdient en wordt je zoals gezegd niet meegerekend als werkloos…. Meer dan schandalig!!
Over
bijstand gesproken: ook mensen die bijstand ontvangen, worden niet
als werkloos meegerekend, hetzelfde geldt voor invaliden die eerder in sociale werkplaatsen arbeid verrichtten, maar vooral door handelen van de PvdA in Rutte 2 thuis zijn komen te zitten…. (onder verantwoording van PvdA topleugenaar Asscher, minister van Sociale Zaken en PvdA hufter Klijnsma, staatssecretaris op datzelfde ministerie, Klijnsma, NB zelf invalide……)
In het
hieronder opgenomen artikel van Jack Rasmus, gaat hij in op de
banencijfers in de VS en komt tot de conclusie dat het ook hier om
gegoochel met cijfers gaat….. Zo wordt er bij het nieuw aantal gecreëerde banen niet bijverteld dat het om parttime banen gaat,
waardoor veel mensen die al werk hebben, een tweede baan of zelfs derde baan hebben genomen, dit daar
ze niet rond kunnen komen van hun slavenloon…..
Het
volgende artikel komt van CounterPunch en werd als gemeld
geschreven door Jack Rasmus:
The
recently released report on April jobs on first appearance, heavily
reported by the media, shows a record low 3.6% unemployment rate and
another month of 263,000 new jobs created. But there are two official
US Labor dept. jobs reports, and the second shows a jobs market much
weaker than the selective, ‘cherry picked’ indicators on
unemployment and jobs creation noted above that are typically
featured by the press.
Problems
with the April Jobs Report
While
the Current
Establishment Survey (CES) Report (covering
large businesses) shows 263,000 jobs created last month, the Current
Population Survey (CPS)
second Labor Dept. report (that covers smaller businesses) shows
155,000 of these jobs were involuntary part time.
This high
proportion (155,000 of 263,000) suggests the job creation number is
likely second and third jobs being created. Nor does it reflect
actual new workers being newly employed. The number is for new jobs,
not neeewly employed workers. Moreover, it’s mostly part time and
temp or low paid jobs, likely workers taking on second and third
jobs.
Even
more contradictory, the second CPS report shows that full time work
jobs actually declined last month by 191,000. (And the month before,
March, by an even more 228,000 full time jobs decline).
The
much hyped 3.6% unemployment (U-3) rate for April refers only to full
time jobs (35 hrs. or more worked in a week). And these jobs are
declining by 191,000 while part time jobs are growing by 155,000. So
which report is accurate? How can full time jobs be declining by
191,000, while the U-3 unemployment rate (covering full time only) is
falling? The answer: full time jobs disappearing result in an
unemployment rate for full time (U-3) jobs falling. A small number of
full time jobs as a share of the total labor force appears as a fall
in the unemployment rate for full time workers. Looked at another
way, employers may be converting full time to part time and temp
work, as 191,000 full time jobs disappear and 155,000 part time jobs
increase.
And
there’s a further problem with the part time jobs being created: It
also appears that the 155,000 part time jobs created last month may
be heavily weighted with the government hiring part timers to start
the work on the 2020 census–typically hiring of which starts in
April of the preceding year of the census. (Check out the Labor Dept.
numbers preceding the prior 2010 census, for April 2009, for the same
development a decade ago).
Another
partial explanation is that the 155,000 part time job gains last
month (and in prior months in 2019) reflect tens of thousands of
workers a month who are being forced onto the labor market now every
month, as a result of US courts recent decisions now forcing workers
who were formerly receiving social security disability benefits (1
million more since 2010) back into the labor market.
The
April selective numbers of 263,000 jobs and 3.6% unemployment rate is
further questionable by yet another statistic by the Labor Dept.: It
is contradicted by a surge of 646,000 in April in the category, ‘Not
in the Labor Force’, reported each month. That 646,000 suggests
large numbers of workers are dropping out of the labor force (a
technicality that actually also lowers the U-3 unemployment rate).
‘Not in the Labor Force’ for March, the previous month Report,
revealed an increase of an additional 350,000 added to ‘Not in the
Labor Force’ totals. In other words, a million–or at least a
large percentage of a million–workers have left the labor force.
This too is not an indication of a strong labor market and
contradicts the 263,000 and U-3 3.6% unemployment rate.
Bottom
line, the U-3 unemployment rate is basically a worthless indicator of
the condition of the US jobs market; and the 263,000 CES
(Establishment Survey) jobs is contradicted by the Labor Dept’s
second CPS survey (Population Survey).
GDP
& Rising Wages Revisited
In
two previous shows, the limits and contradictions (and thus a deeper
explanations) of US government GDP and wage statistics were featured:
See the immediate April 26, 2019 Alternative Visions show on
preliminary US GDP numbers for the 1st quarter 2019, where it was
shown how the Trump trade war with China, soon coming to an end, is
largely behind the GDP latest numbers; and that the more fundamental
forces underlying the US economy involving household consumption and
real business investment are actually slowing and stagnating. Or
listen to my prior radio show earlier this year where media claims
that US wages are now rising is debunked as well.
Claims
of wages rising are similarly misrepresented when a deeper analysis
shows the proclaimed wage gains are, once again, skewed to the high
end of the wage structure and reflect wages for salaried managers and
high end professionals by estimating ‘averages’ and limiting data
analysis to full time workers once again; not covering wages for part
time and temp workers; not counting collapse of deferred and social
wages (pension and social security payments); and underestimating
inflation so that real wages appear larger than otherwise.
Independent sources estimate more than half of all US workers
received no wage increase whatsoever in 2018–suggesting once again
the gains are being driven by the top 10% and assumptions of averages
that distort the actual wage gains that are much more modest, if at
all.
Ditto
for GDP analysis and inflation underestimation using the special
price index for GDP (the GDP deflator), and the various
re-definitions of GDP categories made in recent years and
questionable on-going GDP assumptions, such as including in GDP
calculation the questionable inclusion of 50 million homeowners
supposedly paying themselves a ‘rent equivalent’.
A
more accurate ‘truth’ about jobs, wages, and GDP stats is found
in the ‘fine print’ of definitions and understanding the weak
statistical methodologies that change the raw economic data on wages,
jobs, and economic output (GDP) into acceptable numbers for media
promotion.
Whether
jobs, wages or GDP stats, the message here is that official US
economic stats, especially labor market stats, should be read
critically and not taken for face value, especially when hyped by the
media and press. The media pumps selective indicators that make the
economy appear better than it actually is. Labor Dept. methods and
data used today have not caught up with the various fundamental
changes in the labor markets, and are therefore increasingly suspect.
It is not a question of outright falsification of stats. It’s about
failure to evolve data and methodologies to reflect the real changes
in the economy.
Government
stats are as much an ‘art’ (of obfuscation) as they are a
science. They produce often contradictory indication of the true
state of the economy, jobs and wages. Readers need to look at the
‘whole picture’, not just the convenient, selective media
reported data like Establishment survey job creation and U-3
unemployment rates.
When
so doing, the bigger picture is an US economy being held up by
temporary factors (trade war) soon to dissipate; jobs creation driven
by part time work as full time jobs continue structurally to
disappear; and wages that are being driven by certain industries
(tech, etc.), high end employment (managers, professionals),
occasional low end minimum wage hikes in select geographies, and
broad categories of ‘wages’ ignored.

Wat betreft het onderwijs: jongens en meisjes mochten op kosten van de staat studeren in het buitenland, waar ook nog eens de huur en andere verblijfskosten werden betaald door de Libische staat……
Met behulp van Avaaz is Libië verworden tot zo ongeveer het armste land van Afrika, het ontbreekt de bevolking aan van alles en meisjes mogen niet meer naar school, laat staan studeren…… Tienduizenden Libiërs verloren het leven, niet alleen vanwege de NAVO bombardementen (Nederlandse F16s werden gebruikt om doelen aan te wijzen), maar ook door etnische zuiveringen….. Er worden nu zelfs openbare slavenmarkten gehouden in Libië, en de oorlog is nog steeds gaande…… Nogmaals: met dank aan Avaaz…..
De Avaaz topgraaiers hebben er voorts geen probleem mee om op de foto te gaan met oorlogsmisdadigers als Petraeus…..
Ook in Syrië heeft Avaaz een zeer kwalijke rol gespeeld en de VS agressie, beter gezegd: terreur, van A tot Z gesteund……..

The
organization Avaaz was instrumentalin
building public approval for the No Fly Zone for the illegal invasion
of Libya in 2011. The NATO-led destabilization/illegal war in Libya
resulted in the annihilation of a formerly sovereign country that has
since descended into brutal chaos. Tens upon thousands of Libyans
died and the most savage ethnic cleansing that the mind can imagine
has been widespread. The destruction of Libya has been nothing less
than a full-scale bloodbath.

When
Avaaz rolled out the same rinse, lather and repeat campaign for the
seizing of Syria, the public did not fall prey as easily. The
campaign failed. Below are three separate links to the Avaaz campaign
calling for a no-fly zone over Syria.

the Avaaz campaigns pressing for a no-fly zone (air strikes) over
Syria that flourished in June of 2013, at least two employed the use
of chemical weapons to incite fear and hatred toward the Assad
government. It does not take much stretch of the imagination to
consider Avaaz had inside knowledge of the upcoming chemical attack
that would take place in outer Damascus approximately 10 weeks later.
Considering Avaaz co-founder Tom Perriello’s connection to the
Obama administration and its well known war criminals, it is entirely
plausible that Avaaz was churning out propaganda that would lead up
to and sensationalize a false
flag attack.

August 30, 2013 article “On
the Eve of an Illegal Attack on Syria, Avaaz/350.org Board Members
Beat the Drums of War” documents Avaaz links imploring a
no-fly zone on Syria – both public links have since been removed.
The article also
featured 350.org board member Van Jones calling for air strikes on
Syria. (Adding twisted irony, Van Jones also serves as co-founder and
executive director of the Ella
Baker Center for Human Rights.
The co-opting of deceased civil rights revolutionaries to advance the
goals of hegemony has become common practice within these
foundation-financed projects.)

The email from Patel represented a last-ditch effort to garner
support for a no-fly zone as the US prepared to launch an attack on
Syria.
One
year earlier, in 2012 Avaaz was allegedly sponsoring
fabricated videos of
civilian massacres, to back deeper foreign intervention in Syria.
Fact-checking and videos appear to collaborate these
claims.
Jump
forward to 2014.
In
the September 8, 2014 article Pentagon
Planning Points to Possible Anti-Syria US Military Campaign,
author Stephen Gowans observes:
“Now,
it appears that Washington is on the cusp of pressing ahead with its
planned campaign of military action. The New York Times has reported
that ‘Pentagon planners envision a military campaign’ to destroy
ISIS ‘in its sanctuary inside Syria’ that could last ‘at least
36 months.’ According to The Wall Street Journal, airstrikes would
support anti-Assad fighters unaligned with ISIS, who would be
bankrolled by $500 million in US funding, and backed by a global
coalition, including the UK and Australia, that would ‘provide a
range of assistance, including humanitarian aid and weapons.’ These
countries could also join the United States in an air-war over
Syria.”
It
should not be considered a coincidence that at the same time, a
polished, sophisticated and highly financed “Save Syria” campaign
is being created in the board rooms of the Empire’s favourite
Harvard boys.
Where,
under the organization Avaaz, the public hasn’t acquiesced to an
air strike on Syria, the New York public relations firm Purpose
Inc. has stepped in.
Purpose
is a for-profit enterprise that is marketed to appear like a
non-profit. Their area of expertise is behavioural change.

This is cross-subsidised by its for-profit arm, which makes money in

a Democratic Party associated Political Action Committee (or PAC),
formed in response to the impeachment of President Clinton. Avaaz and
MoveOn are funded in part by convicted inside-trader and billionaire
hedge fund mogul, George Soros.
Avaaz
affiliate James Slezak is also identified as a co-founder and CEO of
Purpose at its inception in 2009.
The
secret behind the success of both Avaaz and Purpose is their reliance
upon and expertise in behavioural
change.
While
the behavioural change tactics used by Avaaz are on public display,
double-breasted, for-profit Purpose, with its non-profit arm, sells
their expertise behind the scenes to further the interest of hegemony
and capital. Whether it be a glossy campaign to
help facilitate yet another illegal “humanitarian intervention”
led by aggressive U.S. militarism (an oxymoron if there ever was
one), or the creation of a new global “green” economy, Purpose is
the consulting firm that the wolves of Wall Street and oligarchs
alike depend upon to make it happen.
Make
no mistake, the Yale (for example, Avaaz co-founder and former U.S.
Representative*Tom
Perriello)
and Harvard graduates that comprise the “Avaaz boys” (many having
been groomed by McKinsey
and Company)
are considered “the dream team” by the globe’s most powerful
capitalists, including those at the United Nations and the World
Bank. Avaaz co-founder Andrea Madden works for the World Bank in
Burma [Myanmar]. Her husband is Avaaz co-founder David Madden who has

key co-founder of Avaaz is none other than pro-war, pro-Israel, U.S.
Democrat Tom Perriello, former U.S. Representative (represented the
5th District of Virginia from 2008 to 2010) and founding member of
the House Majority Leader’s National Security Working Group.

the 2012 investigative report on Avaaz, Perriello’s curriculum
vitae, built upon privilege within elite circles, is quite
extensive.

former Managing Director of Partnerships for “Purpose” is Marilia
Bezerra. From 2006 to 2011 Bezerra held an integral position within
the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) executive leadership. As Clinton
Global Initiative director of commitments, Bezerra led the redesign
of member engagement and commitments services into a
year-round operation. From 2007 to 2008, Bezerra held the
position of sponsorship manager of the Clinton Global Initiative
where she directly managed five major sponsorship accounts, including
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Procter & Gamble, valued at
over $2 million dollars. From 2006 to 2008, Bezerra held the position
of Commitment Development Senior Manager for the Clinton Global
Initiative. In 2009, Bezerra was Deputy Director of Commitments for
the Clinton Global Initiative.
One
should note that in the case of many NGOs, on 990 tax forms it
appears as though those at the helm are paid minimally, if at all.
Rather than salaries, many founders of institutions make immense fees
via consulting services where their names are not identified on 990
forms. In the case of Avaaz, co-founder Ricken Patel does take a
salary (approx. $190,000.00 per year) plus consulting fees.
Consulting fees must be considered the bread and butter of many
“progressives” whose incomes rival CEOs of multinational
corporations. The salaries and incomes are incredible when one
accounts for the fact that many NGOs, such as Avaaz, rake in millions
of dollars in donations from well-intentioned and hard-working
citizens who are at or below the poverty line.

Inc. (with its co-founders) is a favourite of high-finance websites
such as The Economist and Forbes and sells its consulting services
and branding/marketing campaigns to Google, Audi, the American Civil
Liberties Union (ACLU), The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and
many others that comprise the world’s most powerful corporations
and institutions. In 2012, it raised $3m from investors. “Ford
Foundation, which has given Purpose’s non-profit arm a grant,
reckons it is shaping up to be “one of the blue-chip social

like many other foundations, such as Rockefeller (who initially
incubated 1Sky which merged with 350.org in 2011), also serves as an

the Avaaz front man of Purpose, is a darling of
the high-finance corporate world. “In 2011, Jeremy received the
Ford Foundation’s 75th anniversary Visionaries Award. The World

World e-Government Forum has named Jeremy and Purpose co-founder
David Madden among the “Top 10 People Who Are Changing the World of

Utilizing the consumer culture’s celebrity fetish to sell war (and
the illusory “green economy“)
is a vital marketing strategy of Purpose. In the case of #withSyria,
famed street artist Banksyhas
reworked his “Young Girl” famed graffiti stencil in
support of the campaign.
On the main page of this website the behavioural change strategists
at Purpose promote a slick, emotive video of a white child (in
America) slowly becoming traumatized by the violence in Syria. No
doubt, Purpose’s marketing executives have taken this avenue
because they know that the majority of Euro-Americans with privilege
simply are not moved by images of suffering children that are
non-Caucasian. Non-White children being slaughtered by imperial
states became normalized for most Euro-American citizens long ago.
And
of course corporate
media is
not far away to promote the
cries for war peace.
Consider today, on September 17, 2014, ABC “reports“:
“What
if we could reverse the explosion of a bomb? A group of 130
organizations from around the world,
known collectively as the ‘With Syria’ campaign, released a video
Wednesday that shows just what that would look like. The campaign
hopes to bring attention to the violence in Syria. (video) Warning:
Contains disturbing imagery. In the video, the act of a bomb
exploding near children playing is reversed: The blood returns to
their heads, the children stand back up, run in reverse and continue
the game they were playing. A message says, ‘We can’t reverse
what’s happened in Syria, but we can change how the story ends.’”
Indeed
Purpose is being paid to bring about the ending that the elites have
hired them to ensure.

include Amnesty International, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights

emotionally charged campaigns are critical tools for empire. They
have become critical (and successful) in building the acquiescence
required for “humanitarian
interventions”
(aka regime change with extensive “collateral damage” thrown in
for good measure).

the Syrian campaigns. The fact that a group of wealthy elites from

decide, via glossy marketing campaigns, who will live or die on the
other side of the world is the ultimate representation of whitism and

US
Military Utilize NGOs to Induce Pacification & Advance Western
Ideologies on Iraqi Citizens
The
video below captures highlights from the 2004 Princeton Colloquium on
Public and International Affairs and should that be at the Woodrow
Wilson School of Public and International Affairs – The Role of
NGOs in Global Governance and Society. Attention to the title is key:
“NON-governmental
organizations in global GOVERNANCE.”
[Note the use of the term “guerrilla” (4:13)
in describing any citizen/person resisting the occupation/assault by
US military on Iraq soil.] Since the filming of this video,
accelerating regime change operations are being conducted by Western
militaries, hand in hand with Western NGOs throughout the globe.

In essence, NGOs have become an indispensable instrument of
destabilization and regime change for imperial states and hegemonic
interests. NGOs also serve as the primary agents to implant
neoliberal policies and western ideologies in targeted states to
advance and protect the interests of the NGOs’ funders.

the Iraqis are most grateful. It must be noted that Eli Pariser, too,

Syrians holding up a poster that features a “thumbs up”
illustration for USA and the UN.
Exploiting
the death of Syrian children to provoke air strikes and military
aggression demonstrates that such agencies go to any extreme to
further American foreign policy. Note that the very carnage described
above: “killing
over a thousand, many of them children” is
par for the course for the U.S. military, which carries out such
atrocities on innocent civilians, including children, on a daily
basis, all over the world. But don’t expect an Avaaz or Purpose
campaign against the Obama Regime any time soon. They will be too
busy under the guise of their NGO MoveOn, working on his re-election.
The

this event coverage.”

award-winning journalist, Keith Harmon Snow, detailing the corrupt
NGOs and their portrayal of Africa in order to illicit funds. Snow
must be considered one of our finest Western reporters for obtaining
true independent, grassroots news from the continent of Africa.
Within the lecture, Snow discusses the psyops/propaganda
strategically orchestrated behind the “Save Darfur”
campaigns/movements which, in 2004, began to saturate the populace.
At the helm of this “movement” was “The Center for American
Progress.”
The
Center for American Progress is closely connected with the same
players that founded and financed Avaaz. Today, with Avaaz at the
forefront, the non-profit industrial complex has been appointed
trusted messenger of a grotesque and disturbing ideology; nothing
less than a complete reflection and validation of the U.S.
administration’s rhetoric intended to justify the annihilation and
occupation of sovereign states under the false pretense of
“humanitarian intervention” and “responsibility to protect.”

and agencies such as Purpose write and develop the scripts and design
the sets. They bring the stories to life, strategically exploit and
manipulate our emotions, ultimately ensuring we come to accept and
partake in their politically acceptable means of discourse –
discourse sanctioned (and financed) by the empire.

above quote is representative of perhaps one too many spin doctors,
for who is allowing Iraq’s Yazidi refugees into Syria, if not the
Assad government? Indeed, Assad’s government has accepted more
refugees per capita than any other country in the Middle East.

other countries being decimated by Imperialism and foreign
interference.

Consider
that the colour of the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya (from
1977 to 2011; The Great
Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)

On 10 March 2011, France was the first state to recognize the council
as the official government of Libya, as well as the first to allow
the Libyan embassy staff to raise the red, black, green and white
flag that would replace the green flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya. On
21 March, the “new” flag was flown by the Permanent Mission of
Libya to the United Nations and appeared on their official website …
this flag, which reigned prior to the Libyan Jamahiriya, is now the
only flag used by the United Nations to represent Libya. According to
the following UN statement: “Following the adoption by the General
Assembly of resolution 66/1, the Permanent Mission of Libya to the
United Nations formally notified the United Nations of a Declaration
by the National Transitional Council of 3 August 2011 changing the
official name of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to “Libya” as well as
a decision to change Libya’s national flag to the original.”

On
August 24, 2011 it is reported by
yet another mouthpiece for empire that:
“As
Libyan rebels take over, embassies worldwide have been replacing the
old Libyan flag with a new one…. But
starting in February, a new flag – red, black, and green with a
white star and crescent in the center – has been hoisted at Libyan
embassies around the world, from
Switzerland to Bangladesh.
It is the same flag being flown by the jubilant rebels themselves as
they descend on Tripoli.”
In
the article, the words “U.S. funded mercenaries” have been
replaced with “the jubilant rebels.” It would be well worth
investigating who ordered, manufactured and paid for thousands of
these new flags (prior to or commencing in February of 2011) and
ensured they would replace the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya
that flourished from 1977 to 2011.

December 29, 2004: “Over two days in early December approximately
three-dozen religious activists met at the Washington office of the
Center for American Progress, a recently formed think tank headed by
former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta. The Res Publica-driven
agenda for the closed-door gathering included sessions on “building
the movement infrastructure” and “objectives, strategies and core
issues.” Res Publica was founded by Tom Perriello, Ricken Patel and
Tom Pravda. Avaaz was founded by Res Publica, MoveOn.org, Executive
Director Ricken Patel, Tom Perriello, Tom Pravda, Eli Pariser (MoveOn
Executive Director), Andrea Woodhouse (consultant to the World Bank)
Jeremy Heimans (co-founder of GetUp! and Purpose), and Australian
entrepreneur David Madden (co-founder of GetUp and Purpose). Avaaz
co-founder Tom Perriello is now President and CEO of Center for
American Progress. Perriello and Patel also co-founded and
co-directed DarfurGenocide.org which officially launched in 2004.
“DarfurGenocide.org is a project of Res Publica, a group of public
sector professionals dedicated to promoting good governance and
virtuous civic cultures.” Today, this organization is now known as
“Darfurian Voices”: “Darfurian Voices is a project of 24 Hours
for Darfur.” The U.S. Department of State and the Open Society
Institute were just two of the organizations funders and
collaborating partners. Other Darfurian Voices partners include
Avaaz, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), International
Centre for Transitional Justice, Darfur Rehabilitation Project,
Humanity United, Darfur People’s Association of New York, Genocide
Intervention, Witness, Yale Law School, The Sigrid Rausing Trust and
the Bridgeway Foundation. Despite the carefully crafted language and
images that tug at your emotions, such NGOs were created for and
exist for one primary purpose — to protect and further American
policy and interests, under the guise of philanthropy and
humanitarianism. Of all the listed partners of DarfurGenocide.org,
with exception of one located in London England, all of the entities
involved are American and based on US soil.
CLARIFICATION (August
10, 2018): In an earlier version of this article, a sentence reads
“Avaaz co-founder James Slezak is also identified as a co-founder
and CEO of Purpose at its inception in 2009.” This was intended to
read as it reads now: “Avaaz affiliate James
Slezak is also identified as a co-founder and CEO of Purpose at its
inception in 2009.” The article references the original researched
bio of Slezak: “Full profile of James Slezak: Avaaz: Imperialist
