May (premier Groot-Brittannië): “Israël is een baken van tolerantie….” ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Hare kwaadaardigheid May, premier van GB, gaf onlangs een toespraak voor het Conservative Friends of Israël (CFI), dit i.h.k.v. de komende viering in 2017 van de 100 jarige Balfour-verklaring…… Echt iets om te vieren, een verklaring die zo enorm veel Palestijnen intussen het leven heeft gekost, dit nog naast de diefstal van een enorm gebied aan landbouwgrond van Palestijnse boeren en het verjagen van enorm veel Palestijnen uit hun huizen (wat al voor 1949 op grote schaal gebeurde…)…….

In haar toespraak durfde May Israël een opmerkelijk land en ‘een baken van tolerantie’ te noemen…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja mensen, als je zo kwaadaardig bent als May en het gore lef hebt te zeggen, dat Israël een baken van tolerantie is, moet ik naast een paar vloeken, toch vooral heel hard lachen….. Haar toehoorders applaudisseerden hard en lang op de uitspraken van May, die zich al als dictator van het Britse rijk ziet…

Opmerkelijk is Israël inderdaad: -tegen VN resoluties in, gewoon het gestolen land uit 1967 behouden; -een apartheidsbewind voeren tegen de Palestijnen en als een dolle fascistische hond tekeer gaan tegen Palestijnse burgers*, die zich niet kunnen verdedigen tegen één van de modernste legers op aarde……….

U had het al begrepen, dat was het nog niet: volgens May is de Balfour-verklaring één van de meest belangrijke verklaringen uit de geschiedenis……….. Een verklaring die in feite de dood van meer dan 100.000 Palestijnen tot gevolg heeft gehad…. Een verklaring die heeft geleid het verdrijven van een groot aantal Palestijnen van land, dat ze al vele generaties bewerkten……. Een verklaring die heeft geleid tot een apartheidsbewind in Israël en een verklaring die de Palestijnen tot derderangs burgers degradeerde……. Inderdaad een belangrijke verklaring, maar dan voor de Palestijnen, een verklaring die het bewijs is, dat GB de hoofdverantwoordelijke is, voor het ontstaan van de fascistische staat Israël……..

May beloofde voorts, dat de bilaterale handelsbetrekkingen met Israël zal versterken…..

Uiteraard moest May de Labour Party nog even van antisemitisme beschuldigen, daar Corbyn het opneemt voor de (mensenrechten van de) Palestijnen. Het zal u niet verbazen, dat May stelde lak te hebben aan de BDS beweging, de beweging die vreedzaam strijd voor de rechten van de Palestijnen. Ze noemde deze beweging zelfs onacceptabel en verkeerd, waarbij ze de mensen die deze beweging steunen, bedreigde met maatregelen van haar regering……….

* Waar ook enorm veel kinderen het dodelijke slachtoffer zijn en Israël zelfs kinderen opsluit zonder vorm van proces………

Israël legaliseert ‘i.h.k.v. het vredesakkoord’ 5.000 illegale woningen op West Bank………..

Het fascistische apartheidsbewind van Israël heeft 5.000 illegaal gebouwde woningen in de buurt van Jeruzalem gelegaliseerd……. ‘Dit i.h.k.v. de vredesbesprekingen met de Palestijnen………’ De Palestijnen eisen immers, dat Israël zich terugtrekt uit de illegaal bezette gebieden, zoals de West Bank…….. Met andere woorden: Israël heeft schijt aan die vredesbesprekingen en schoffeert het Palestijnse volk keer op keer.

Lullig genoeg gebruiken onze politici en de reguliere media het argument van de ‘vredesbesprekingen’, om Israël vooral niet te bekritiseren. Bijvoorbeeld als er weer huizen worden gebouwd op illegaal bezet gebied, daar dit die ‘vredesbesprekingen’ tussen Israël en de Palestijnen zou verstoren……. Je krijgt hooguit te horen ‘dat men bezorgd is over de ontwikkelingen……’

Gezien dat laatste, geen of zo min mogelijk kritiek leveren, zal u natuurlijk begrijpen dat de jaknikkende PvdA hufter Koenders nog met geen komma kritiek zal komen op dit schandalige besluit van Israël, immers dan zou hij ‘het vredesoverleg’ kunnen schaden……..

Ongelofelijk dat een volk zo geknecht en uiterst gewelddadig kan worden behandeld, zonder dat het westen commentaar levert en zich keer op keer achter dit uiterst gewelddadige apartheidsbewind in Israël schaart…….

Het bovenstaande, kwam gisteren in het BBC W.S. radionieuws van 1.00 u. voorbij.

Stan van Houcke bracht gisteren het bericht, dat het hooggerechtshof van Israël inzage in documenten heeft verboden, documenten betreffende illegale wapenexport aan de Servische regering, ten tijde van de genocide in Bosnië….. Dit zou de ‘goede naam’ van Israël kunnen schaden…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Hier de link naar dit artikel onder de naam ‘Supreme Court rules against exposing Israel’s role in Bosnian genocide’, door Stan van Houcke voorzien van de titel ‘Israel’s Support for Terror’.

Vanmorgen meldde BNR in het nieuws van 8.00 u., dat de staat New York o.a. de Nederlandse banken ASN en Triodos zal boycotten, daar deze bedrijven geen zaken wensen te doen met bedrijven, die actief zijn in de door Israël (illegaal) bezette gebieden…… ‘Christenbroeder’ Voordewind liet weten, dat hij dit volkomen begrijpelijk vindt…….. Kijk en dat is weer volkomen begrijpelijk voor deze geestelijk totaal bekrompen aanhanger van het christelijk geloof.

De VS maakt zich op voor oorlog tegen Rusland en daarmee voor WOIII……..

Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten bracht vanmorgen een artikel waarin wordt gemeld dat de VS zich opmaakt voor oorlog tegen Rusland……. Voor de regelmatige lezer van alternatieve media en van dit blog geen verrassing, het grote verschil is, dat de regering van de VS nu openlijk spreekt over oorlogvoering tegen Rusland…… Daarmee wordt het verhaal in de reguliere afhankelijke media organen doorgeprikt, dat het een complottheorie is, te waarschuwen voor het gevaar dat het tot een oorlog met Rusland komt en daarmee WOIII een feit zal zijn…….

Joseph Francis Dunford, marinier generaal en de joint chiefs of staff voorzitter, zei in een hoorzitting van het congres, dat een vliegverbod instellen in Syrië tot een oorlog met Syrië en Rusland zal leiden. Dunford stelde dat hij een dergelijke beslissing niet op zich kon nemen. Oorlogshitser John McCain drong er bij Dunford op aan zijn woorden te relativeren, zie begin van de volgende video:

Al een aantal dagen probeerde ‘hardline’ senator Graham Dunford te bewegen de afzetting van de Syrische president Assad als militair doel aan te wijzen. Graham wees Dunford erop, dat het de ‘hardliners’ er om gaat, te weten of Assad nog aan het bewind zal zijn, als Obama het Witte Huis verlaat. Dunford duidelijk vermoeid, verzocht of hij zich aan de politieke druk mocht onttrekken, zie:

De Washington Post berichtte dat de geheime diensten en delen van het Pentagon Obama willen bewegen, toestemming te geven militaire vliegvelden in Syrië te bombarderen. De kans daarop is uitermate klein, de Post stelde, dat daarom leden van het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, de CIA en de generale staf een paar andere opties hebben ‘gelanceerd’. Zoals het bestoken van de landingsbanen van de vliegvelden door/met vliegtuigen, kruisraketten en andere lange afstandswapens….. Dit zou met vliegtuigen van de VS coalitie en haar oorlogsschepen moeten worden uitgevoerd. Een andere mogelijkheid is levering van modern wapentuig aan internationale ‘strijders’ (lees; moorddadige terroristen)………

Daar het Witte Huis niets wenst te doen, zonder een resolutie van de VN Veiligheidsraad*, stellen de ‘hardliners’, dat de VS aanvallen zou kunnen doen, die niet terug te leiden zijn naar de VS (daar heeft de VS ruime ervaring mee, ook in Syrië!)…. Dit plan wordt gesteund door de CIA en de vice voorzitter van de generale staf generaal Paul Selva. Met andere woorden: de VS wil aanvallen uitvoeren, die niet terug te leiden zijn naar de eigen (terreur) legermacht en daarmee het eigen volk (en de rest van de wereld) te besodemieteren………

Dat het de VS ernst is, blijkt wel uit het feit, dat de VS de belangrijkste NAVO leden consulteert met deze plannen. Vandaag vindt er in Berlijn een Syrië overleg plaats in het Duitse ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, tussen de directeuren van deze ministeries uit Groot-Brittannië, Frankrijk Italië en een VS delegatie. Volgens bronnen in de VS zal daar ook worden gesproken over het verzwaren van de sancties tegen Syrië en Rusland……

Onder de tegenstanders tegen verregaand ingrijpen in Syrië zou ook John Kerry zich bevinden, die nog niet de onderhandelingsteams uit Genève wil terugtrekken. Echter gezien zijn leugenachtige geroeptoeter over Ruslands rol in Syrië, zal die tegenstand niet lang aanhouden……

McCain vreest intussen het verlies van ‘activa’ in Syrië, waarmee hij de door de VS getrainde en bewapende terroristen bedoelt…… Dunford weigerde aanvankelijk te zeggen, dat de aanval op een hulpkonvooi en loodsen met hulpgoederen op 17 september jl., door de Russen en het Syrische leger werd gepleegd, waarna hij onder druk van senator Graham stelde dat ‘het een mogelijkheid kan zijn……’ Dit terwijl duidelijk is, dat dit konvooi door terreurgroepen op de grond werd aangevallen en niet werd gebombardeerd door de Russen en Syriërs…..

De Russische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Lavrov, stelde dat de VS duidelijk niet de terroristen van al-Nusra (en andere terreurgroepen) wenst te bombarderen. De VS wil deze groepen gebruiken voor ‘een plan B’ om Assad af te zetten…… Zie de volgende video:

Het volgende artikel van Lawrence Davidson komt van de Information Clearing House webpagina. Hierin wordt verteld over het in de VS uit de markt halen van een studieboek betreffende Palestina en de etnische zuivering van Palestijnse gebieden in de periode 1946 – 2000. Vooral een geografische kaart schijnt de zionisten te steken, zij stellen simpel dat het in 1967 bezette gebied, een ondeelbaar geheel was, is en zal zijn van Israël……… U kunt onder het artikel klikken voor een vertaling, al neemt dat we enige tijd in beslag.

Israel – Map Censorship

March 21, 2016 “Information Clearing House” – What is the difference between a textbook publisher giving into pressure from Christian fundamentalists seeking to censor the teaching of evolution, and a publisher giving in to Zionists seeking to censor awareness of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine? Neither phenomenon is a matter of opinion or perspective. One act of censorship denies facts established by scientific research. The other denies the documented violation of international law (for instance, the Fourth Geneva Convention) and multiple UN resolutions. So the answer to the question just asked is – there is no difference.

In early March 2016 executives at McGraw-Hill took the extreme step of withdrawing from the market a published text, Global Politics: Engaging a Complex World, and then proceeded to destroy all the remaining books held in inventory. (Did they burn them?) Global Politics, which had been on the market since 2012, was a text designed by its authors to “offer students a number of lenses through which to view the world around them.” Why did McGraw-Hill do this?

Apparently the book was obliterated (this seems to be an accurate description of the publisher’s actions) because, like a biology text that describes the established facts of evolution, Global Politics offered a “lens to view the world” that was judged blasphemous by a powerful, influential and ideologically driven element of the community. Of course, that is not how McGraw-Hill rationalized its action. Instead, the publisher claimed that a serious inaccuracy in the text was belatedly discovered. The maps in question are not new or novel. Nor are they historically inaccurate, despite Zionists’ claims to the contrary. They can be seen individually and in different forms on websites of the BBC and Mondoweiss and are published in a number of history books, such as Mark Tessler’s well-received A History of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Perhaps what the Zionists can’t abide is lining up the maps together in chronological order.

In truth, the objections reported to have been used by those who pressured McGraw-Hill are historically perverse – the sort of grasping at straws that reflects a biased and strained rewriting of history. For instance, an objection was made to the labeling of public land in pre-1948 Palestine as “Palestinian.” Why? Because the Zionist claim is that Palestine before 1948 was a British mandate and so the land was British and not Palestinian. As their argument goes, “no one called the Arabs [of this area] Palestinians.” Of course, prior to 1948, no one called the East European Jews pouring in at this time “Israelis.” Further, according to those taking these maps to task, the West Bank at this time was controlled by Jordan and so it too was not Palestinian. Obviously, no one brought up the fact that in September of 1922 the British had divided Palestine in two in order to artificially create what is now Jordan. The period after World War I was one of territorial transition, however, in Palestine, the one constant was the persistent presence of the Arab Palestinians.

The Zionists offered many other dubious objections to the maps, which seem to have sent the publisher into something of a panic. It would certainly appear that no one at McGraw-Hill knew enough relevant history to make an accurate judgment on the complaints.

Part II – Running Scared

McGraw-Hill’s response was to “immediately initiate an academic review,” which “determined that the maps in question “did not meet our academic standards.” Who carried out the review? Well, McGraw-Hill won’t say, but insists those who did so were “independent academics.” Just what are McGraw-Hill’s “academic standards”? Well, those haven’t been articulated either. The publisher’s reluctance to elaborate its claims makes their actions suspicious at best.

As Rania Khalek noted in an 11 March 2016 article on the incident in Electronic Intifada, these particular maps, showing the loss of Palestinian land over decades of Israeli expansion, “have the ability to cut through Israeli propaganda that portrays Palestinian anger and violence as rooted in religious intolerance and irrational hatred rather than a natural reaction to Israel’s colonial expansionism, land theft and ethnic cleansing, all of which continue today.” This gives insight into the strenuous efforts made by Zionists to keep the sequenced maps away from any mass market distribution. As it is, they seem to have overlooked this textbook source for some four years. However, once they spotted it, and began “flooding” McGraw-Hill with complaints from “multiple sources,” it took the publisher only about a week to suspend sales of the book.

The next obvious question is why didn’t McGraw-Hill move to change the maps or just remove them? Why destroy the entire inventory? The extreme nature of the publisher’s response remains unexplained but may stand as a testimony to the fact that the Zionist lobby has the same power within the corporate ranks of this textbook publisher as the anti-evolution fundamentalists have over most biology textbooks.

Part III – The Zionists’ Maps

The Zionists who made the claim that the Global Politics maps are “mendacious” do so from a starting assumption that all the land from the Suez Canal to Golan Heights and Jordan River has always been Hebrew-Israeli. On this basis they posit their own maps to make the claim that modern Israel, at least since 1967 and “in the pursuit of peace,” has voluntarily relinquished land rather than illegally taken it. It is significant that the Zionist maps begin in 1967, a year of major Israeli expansion through conquest. And, of course, the only land concession of any consequence since then is the Sinai Desert. The Zionist cartographical suggestion that Israel has given up Gaza and West Bank land is just a sleight of hand, given Israel’s use of Gaza as a prison colony and continued military control of every inch of the West Bank.

Finally, it is important to note that Israeli school maps are often pure propaganda. For instance, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz recently carried a story about a map used to teach seventh graders about the country’s geography. The map omits the “green line,” which is recognized internationally as Israel’s eastern border, as well as the majority of the nation’s Arab-Israeli communities. Maybe the Israeli Ministry of Education used McGraw-Hill’s “academic standards” to create this map.

Part IV – Conclusion

Within academia there is the belief that textbooks are not to be subject to ideological censorship. This is a rather naive, but important, ideal. If such texts cannot maintain this level of integrity, the entire educational exercise becomes open to propaganda. Unless McGraw-Hill becomes transparent about its “independent academic review” and offers an explanation as to why it went to the extreme of destroying its inventory of Global Politics, one can only assume that the publisher has no objection to censoring its products in the face of pressure from an ideologically driven group. No doubt the motivation here is fear of controversy and subsequent market losses. In the absence of substantiating information, the whole story of an independent review and academic standards must be dismissed as a cover-up.

The sad truth is that the suborning of textbooks addressing culturally sensitive subjects has become a standard practice. Thus, the process of education is indeed threatened by incessant propaganda. This includes the culture war that swirls around American biology textbooks. It also includes the powerful Zionist drive to literally wipe the Palestinians off the map.

In Nederland hebben we geen druk van zionisten nodig, om zionistisch onwelgevallige teksten of kaarten uit lesboeken of de reguliere pers te houden, daar zijn ‘we’ zelf ‘mans’ genoeg voor en zelfcensuur is hier een ‘specialiteit…………’

Israëlische terreur op de illegaal bezette West Bank…….

Israël is bezig met eenzijdig vredesoverleg, dat bestaat uit het verwoesten van een groot deel van de (Palestijnse) dorpen Jinba en Halawa, ten zuiden van Hebron, op de door de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël illegaal bezette Westelijke Jordaanoever……. De bedoeling is rond de 1.000 woningen van Palestijnen te slopen, in een gebied van 30 vierkante kilometer, intussen is de sloop begonnen…… Het gebied ‘is nodig voor schietoefeningen van het leger…….’ Ook heeft het Israëlische leger het plan, op de West Bank, in een aantal andere dorpen, nog een groot aantal huizen te slopen, daarover loopt een zaak in Jeruzalem…… Het dan nog vreemd vinden dat mensen zich wanhopig suïcideren, in een poging een Israëliër te vermoorden, is een gotspe: hoe gek van wanhoop kan je mensen maken??!!!!

Uiteraard geen commentaar van PvdA sierdrol Koenders of andere kabinetsleden, ook bij de rest van de PvdA is het doodstil…… Zelfs de EU maakt er geen woord aan vuil….. Weet u wat men desgevraagd als reactie zal geven? ‘We willen de vredesbesprekingen niet in gevaar brengen…….’

Lees en zie nogmaals hoe u wat betreft de terreur die Israël uitoefent besodemieterd wordt, niet alleen door de politiek, maar ook door de reguliere landelijke pers, die het woord ‘staatsterreur’ niet eens durft te gebruiken, dan wel vindt dat daar geen sprake van was en is……..

Palestinian villagers brace for more demolitions after Israeli bulldozers leave 100 homeless

JINBA // Palestinian villagers in a remote corner of the occupied West Bank are bracing themselves for more demolitions this week, just days after Israeli army bulldozers left more than a hundred people homeless.


The demolitions are the latest development in a 17-year dispute over Israeli plans to clear 1,000 Palestinian residents from a 30 square kilometre area of land south of Hebron to make way for an army firing-practise zone.

Villagers and their lawyers had been engaged in mediation efforts with the Israeli government to settle the dispute but last Monday Israel announced that talks had collapsed.

Ali Mohammed Jabareen, 54, a sheep herder and construction worker, lost the house he lived in with his wife and eight children on Tuesday when the army razed 22 residential buildings in the hamlets of Jinba and Halawa.

His son, who has five children, also lost his home. Both buildings were in Jinba.
The first night after the demolitions they stayed out in the open with just blankets to protect them from the elements. Mr Jabareen’s 3-year-old grandson was so traumatised he could not sleep.

“He was yelling that the army is coming and behaving like a mad person,” said Mr Jabareen.

The next night, they were able sleep inside tents provided by an aid agency. The grandfather was able to save mattresses, blankets, rugs and four solar panels from his home before it was demolished.

“There were two bulldozers here and border police and army jeeps. I would say there were 40 to 50 soldiers,” said Nidal Yunis, a local government official, standing amid the rubble of in Jinba.

Ten more residential buildings in the area were also marked for demolition by the army, but a court injunction obtained by lawyers for the villagers the same day blocked this from happening until a hearing is held on Tuesday.

This hearing at Israel’s High Court of Justice in Jerusalem will determine whether the army has a legal basis to destroy the additional buildings in the villages of Al Fahit, Majaz, Sfay, Um Tuba and Al Mercaz.

The piece of land termed by Israel as “Firing Zone 918” was first designated as a military training zone in the 1980s but it was not until 1999 that the army moved against the Palestinian residents, demolishing structures and forcibly evicting them.

A court injunction that same year allowed villagers to return to the area, pending deliberation of a legal challenge to the evictions. The court on several occasions referred the matter to arbitration, a procedure for resolving disputes outside of court. This last happened in September 2013 after 25 leading Israeli authors signed a petition asking that the villages be saved.

The European Union has also called on Israel not to expel the villagers or demolish their homes.

The arbitration process is secret and it is not entirely clear why the latest attempt failed. But according to Israel’s Haaretz newspaper, the army had asked to begin conducting monthly training exercises on the land lasting for several days at a time. The residents, who would have been forced to vacate the area during exercises, refused, Haaretz said.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (Cogat), the military body responsible for civilian affairs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, said the latest demolitions were “enforcement measures … taken against illegal structures and solar panels built within a military zone”.

Cogat said that during the last two years, Israeli authorities had conducted “a dialogue process with the population in order to legalise the structures.” But it accused the Palestinians of being unwilling to “get the situation in order” and of continuing “illegal construction.”

Koenders: ‘Assad moet terecht staan in Den Haag………’ OEI!!!

De zwaar disfunctionerend minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, de jaknikkende PvdA hufter Koenders, durfde vanmorgen, op een regeringspropaganda internet kanaal van de NPO, te zeggen, dat Assad terecht moet staan in Den Haag. Volgens deze drollenpoetser die zich intussen als de chef van Ban Ki-Moon ziet, moet iemand met zoveel bloed aan z’n handen, worden berecht in Den Haag……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Zeg Koenders, als jij dat vindt, zou je als eerste een internationaal arrestatiebevel moeten uitvaardigen tegen George W. Bush, deze superschoft heeft alleen al met zijn illegale oorlog tegen Irak, meer dan 1 miljoen doden op z’n geweten, vergeleken met Bush, is Assad een onderdeurtje!! Daarnaast heeft de VS, samen met Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en nog wat landen, al in 2006 de fundamenten gelegd voor de ‘opstand’ in Syrië*. Met andere woorden: ook hier is de VS de hoofdverantwoordelijke voor de oorlog die nu in Syrië woedt en daarmee voor de enorme aantallen vluchtelingen, waarvan het overgrote deel nog steeds in die regio zit en niet in de EU, zoals veel politici tegenwoordig durven te zeggen……..

Zo bezien, zou ook Obama op de lijst van Koenders moeten staan, waar je het standrechtelijk executeren van verdachten middels drones bij op kan tellen, enorme misdaden waarbij 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens verdacht was…….. Om nog maar te zwijgen over het uiterst moorddadige regime in Saoedi-Arabië, dat nu in buurland Jemen het ene bloedbad na het andere aanricht (inclusief het veelvuldig bombarderen van ziekenhuizen), met instemming van Koenders, immers daar hoor je deze klotenklapper niet over….. Of wat dacht u van het fascistische apartheidsregime in Israël, dat zelfs een aantal VN resoluties naast zich neer heeft gelegd?? Dan hebben we nog de kalief van Ankara, massamoordenaar Erdogan, dit stuk reli-fascistisch geteisem moordde en moordt er lustig op los, in het Koerdisch gebied van Turkije, en nu zelfs in de Koerdische gebieden in Syrië en Irak…… Daarnaast heeft Turkije onder zijn leiding barbaarse terreurgroepen als al-Nusra (een verlengstuk van IS) in Syrië gesteund met wapens en geld, me dunkt alles bij elkaar misdaden die ‘Den Haag meer dan waardig zijn…!!!’

Het Internationaal Strafhof krijgt het druk met Koenders als zelfbenoemd aanklager! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Alweer heeft hij bewezen, totaal ongeschikt te zijn als politicus en minister!

 A December 13, 2006 cable, “Influencing the SARG [Syrian government] in the End of 2006,” indicates that, as far back as 2006 – five years before “Arab Spring” protests in Syria – destabilizing the Syrian government was a central motivation of US policy. The author of the cable was William Roebuck, at the time chargé d’affaires at the US embassy in Damascus. The cable outlines strategies for destabilizing the Syrian government. In his summary of the cable, Roebuck wrote:

We believe Bashar’s weaknesses are in how he chooses to react to looming issues, both perceived and real, such as the conflict between economic reform steps (however limited) and entrenched, corrupt forces, the Kurdish question, and the potential threat to the regime from the increasing presence of transiting Islamist extremists. This cable summarizes our assessment of these vulnerabilities and suggests that there may be actions, statements, and signals that the USG can send that will improve the likelihood of such opportunities arising.

This cable suggests that the US goal in December 2006 was to undermine the Syrian government by any available means, and that what mattered was whether US action would help destabilize the government, not what other impacts the action might have. In public the US was in favor of economic reform, but in private the US saw conflict between economic reform and “entrenched, corrupt forces” as an “opportunity.” In public, the US was opposed to “Islamist extremists” everywhere; but in private it saw the “potential threat to the regime from the increasing presence of transiting Islamist extremists” as an “opportunity” that the US should take action to try to increase.


 Roebuck lists Syria’s relationship with Iran as a “vulnerability” that the US should try to “exploit.” His suggested means of doing so are instructive:

Possible action:

PLAY ON SUNNI FEARS OF IRANIAN INFLUENCE: There are fears in Syria that the Iranians are active in both Shia proselytizing and conversion of, mostly poor, Sunnis. Though often exaggerated, such fears reflect an element of the Sunni community in Syria that is increasingly upset by and focused on the spread of Iranian influence in their country through activities ranging from mosque construction to business….

Roebuck thus argued that the US should try to destabilize the Syrian government by coordinating more closely with Egypt and Saudi Arabia to fan sectarian tensions between Sunni and Shia, including by the promotion of “exaggerated” fears of Shia proselytizing of Sunnis, and of concern about “the spread of Iranian influence” in Syria in the form of mosque construction and business activity.

By 2014, the sectarian Sunni-Shia character of the civil war in Syria was bemoaned in the United States as an unfortunate development. But in December 2006, the man heading the US embassy in Syria advocated in a cable to the secretary of state and the White House that the US government collaborate with Saudi Arabia and Egypt to promote sectarian conflict in Syria between Sunni and Shia as a means of destabilizing the Syrian government. At that time, no one in the US government could credibly have claimed innocence of the possible implications of such a policy…

It was easy to predict then that, while a strategy of promoting sectarian conflict in Syria might indeed help undermine the Syrian government, it could also help destroy Syrian society. But this consideration does not appear in Roebuck’s memo at all, as he recommends that the US government cooperate with Saudi Arabia and Egypt to promote sectarian tensions.1


 From the US Congress


 The US path to destroy Syria is long. On 12 April 2003, twenty-four days after the US invasion of Iraq, a Zionist representative from New York, Eliot T. Engle, sponsored the Syria Accountability Act (SAA). The charge was Syria’s involvement of terrorism, aiding Saddam Hussein (meaning Iraq) escaping sanctions, helping the insurgency against the US invasion of Iraq, supporting of Hezbollah, chemical weapons, and so on. (We have to go on record on an important issue. Saying “a Zionist representative” is not a vacuous namedropping—it is a political statement indicative of how Israel passes its policy aims in Syria and the Arab world through the American legislative system.) The Act was passed in December 2003. Invoking the omnipresent pretext of American national security and pretending “constitutional” presidential privileges on foreign policy, George Bush essentially turned the Israeli policy toward Syria into a policy of the United States. In his article, “The Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003: Two Years On,” David Schenker, from the Zionist-imperialist think tank, the Washington Institute, recalled his experience in testifying before the House of Representatives (7 June 2006). He wrote, “Syria has proven a tough nut to crack. The SAA has helped, although the Legislation itself is not sufficient to compel a change in Syrian behavior. The Bush Administration has adopted some steps, but the challenge is how to leverage the SAA in conjunction with other tools at the Administration’s disposal—multilateral efforts in particular—to ratchet up the pressure on Syria to force behavioral change.” “Ratchet up pressure” is the key phrase as to what US neocons/Zionists believe they must do in Syria, not only in connection to Lebanon, but also, obviously, in relation what Syria represents for Israel—a rejectionist state of Israel that must be destroyed.


 The Assassination of Rafiq Hariri


 The assassination of Rafiq Hariri (a billionaire, dual citizen of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and a former prime minister of Lebanon) on 14 February 2005 is the paramount example of how the United States, Western Europe, and Israel plan their subversion against the Arab states that do not obey US diktat, or resist US-backed Israeli colonialist-imperialism. The assassination offers a very interesting angle with regard how pretexts are developed and used. Let us see why Hariri was killed. On 2 September 2004, the UNSC issued resolution 1559 calling on Syria to withdraw its remaining forces from Lebanon. Syria complied but only partially and slowly.

The ruse to get Syria out of Lebanon—which was a part of Greater Syria in history until France, using its Sykes-Picot mandate over Syria, severed it and made it an independent state in 1943—had, therefore, to be achieved by other means. The assassination of Hariri was that specific means. With the accusation that Syria was behind the assassination, the stage was set to force Syria’s complete withdrawal from Lebanon under the threat of enforcing resolution 1559 by military means. Forty-five days after the assassination (5 April 2005), Syria began its withdrawal from Lebanon and completed it by the end of that month.


 Who ordered the assassination of Hariri?


 Since neither Syria nor Hezbollah had stakes in the assassination of Hariri, who benefited from it? Our logical answer is Israel and the United States. [2] Considering the long list of objectives of these two states in the situation of all Arab states, proving this assertion is a matter of deductive reasoning.

Having briefly described the path the United States took in the quest to destabilize Syria, it is important to see its current methods of war. If the US plans in Syria were insufficient to raise alarm, we have to deal with other features applied on the Syrian theater of death (and before that in Afghanistan and Iraq). We are talking about an imperialist instrument of war: vocabulary as a weapon of mass confusion. Many terms and phrases had been coined to make people conform to Washington’s indoctrination. But do terms such as “moderate,” “extremist,” “moderate Arab states—who are they?”, “Islamic,” Islamist,” “dictator,” “democracy,” “no role for Assad in the future of Syria,” “Sunni,” “Alawite,” “Shiite,” “ISIS,” “stop the Iranian occupation of Syria,” “IS,” “DAESH,” “U.S. hitting ISIS,” etc., have any tangible meaning outside the world of imperialist propaganda?


 Let us examine some of these terms. Does the diction “a future for Syria without Assad” have any meaning? Would that be a re-made Syria with a bankrupt sectarian system similar to the one a criminal named George W. Bush and his Zionist neocons installed in Iraq? Would the US bring Noah Feldman or others to write a “constitution” for Syria? (Feldman is a Zionist lawyer from New York and a theoretician on “Islamic terrorism,” “Jihad,” and on so-called Islamic democracy. He authored the sectarian constitution for Iraq while this was under active US military occupation led by Paul Bremer. Bremer’s constitution, as the Iraqis call it, has become the cornerstone and foundation for the partition of Iraq on approximate confessional and ethnic lines.3


 Or, would it be a so-called Islamic state swearing allegiance to US imperialism, to Al Saud, and to the British-installed al-Thani ruling family of Qatar? What is the implication of saying that Assad is the problem, yet names behind state policies such as Obama, Erdogan, Hollande, Merkel, Turki al-Faisal, or Bandar Bin Sultan go unmentioned in this context? What does the Syrian “moderate opposition” mean in the US imperialist lexicon, if not groups financed and supported by Washington? And for clarity’s sake, we ask, moderate in what?


 Again, what is the US game in Syria?


 Let us cite Condoleezza Rice. Rice is the quintessential dual-face American hypocrite when the issue is US interventions. Although the first quotation we cite below is about Iraq, its philosophy and intent applies to US policy in Syria.

Rice, describing in petty melodramatic terms (similar to those one can find in a cheap romance novel) how she confronted her master criminal boss on the sectarian violence that the United States designed and implemented in Iraq, wrote the following [Italics are ours]:

“So what’s your plan, Condi?” The president was suddenly edgy and annoyed. “We’ll just let them kill each other, and we’ll standby and try to pick the pieces?”

I was furious at the implication….”No, Mr. President,” I said, trying to stay calm. “We just can’t win by putting our forces in the middle of their blood feud. If they want to have a civil war we’re going to have to let them.”4

Comment: 1) Rice is shameful. She made her criminal boss look caring. 2) Rice, daughter of a Presbyterian minister who presumably taught her not to lie, lied big. First, calling sectarian infighting “civil war” is deception because these are two different entities. Sectarian strife within a nation pits a community against another with dissimilar beliefs or ethnic origins. Civil conflict is between political factions within a nation regardless of sectarian or confessional beliefs. The US uses both terms interchangeably to obfuscate the nature of its interference in the pursuit of specific policy objectives.

Besides, there never was any sectarian infighting between Arab Sunni and Shiite Muslims in Iraq until the US invasion and occupation fomented it to preempt resistance to its occupation. 3) Rice and her neocon masters thrive when sectors of a nation they occupy engage in violent infighting—it provides them easier means of control. This happened in the Philippines, Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq, and it is now happening in Libya and Syria through mercenaries and proxies. That is why we often hear US imperialists and Arab stooges talking about things like “Assad wants to make an Alawite state,” “ISIS is a fact,” “Kurds want their own state and so do the Assyrians and the Armenians,” and so on. Regardless of terminology or concepts, the US strategy is unexceptional—it is an ancient Roman imperial and military strategy: Divide et Impera.


 With regard to how US duality works in the Syrian example, let us consider the exchange she had with Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid Muollem:

“… I delivered my point about Syria’s interference in Lebanon, and its failure to stop terrorists in their country from crossing their borders into Iraq.”

“it’s hard to stop them,” he said, but I was having none of it.

“They’re coming through Damascus airport,” I countered.5

Comment: We know what US exceptionalism means: it is okay for the US to interfere in the affairs of every country in the world, but others are not permitted to do so except with US approval. It is not okay that volunteers cross Syria into Iraq to fight the US invasion force, but it is okay for America’s stooges to allow weapons and mercenaries to Syria through Turkish and Jordanian airports.


 In recalling the documented history of US interference in the affairs of myriad countries including its staunchest ally Britain (read, “Harold Wilson, Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam War, 1964-68”), the present authors state the following:

The violence in Syria is not an accidental product of uncontrolled events, is not a result of a civil war, is not because the Syrian state is ruled by despotic elites—but it is a result of a combined American-Israeli geopolitical strategy to install a new Syrian regime at the order of Tel Aviv and Washington. Syria, therefore, is not but another link—after Iraq, Libya, and Yemen— in the US and Israeli quest to dismantle the Arab system of nation, and to end the Palestinian Question permanently.


 Let us now examine what was cooking in the US pot against Syria 60 years ago. In his outstanding research on the CIA plotting and machinations against the Arab nations including Syria during the 1950s, California State University history professor, Hugh Wilford, wrote the following:

On August 21, 1956, Foster Dulles convened GAMMA, a top-secret task force with representatives from State, Defense, and the CIA … GAMMA’s main contribution was to agree to a proposal to send the eminent foreign service veteran Loy Henderson on a tour of the Middle East that seemed intended to incite military aggression against Syria by its Arab neighbors…. Henderson told a meeting in the White House that he had discovered a deep sense of anxiety about Syria in the region, yet little concerted will to act; only Turkey, a NATO ally, showed much appetite for intervention….”6


 Let us fast forward to the US occupation of Iraq. On page 473 of his book, The Twilight War(Penguin Press, New York, 2012), David Crist (a historian from the US imperialist establishment) writes, “’Recock’ became the word of the day at CENTCOM. The United States would get out of Iraq and prepare for the next war in the global fight against terrorism, with rumors circulating that Syria was next. The U.S. military concurred.”

Why Syria “was next” on the US list of priorities? Has Syria ever harmed or threatened the national security of the United States? No. But because Israel strongly influences US foreign policy (read, John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen M. Walt, “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy”) toward the Arab states, and because Syria is the last Arab state resisting Israeli imperialism there are two concrete answers.7

First, Israel wants to weaken Syria and dismember it, as it wanted done to Iraq by American neocon Zionists. Dismembering Syria should expose the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah that depends on Syria for support. The second is more complex. First, controlling Syria enters in the logic of American quest of global hegemony. Second, to carve out a Kurdish autonomous region to be joined with the areas controlled by Iraqi Kurds creating a Kurdish State potentially at the service of US imperialism and Israel.8, 9 Third, Syria’s eastern regions and Israeli-occupied Golan Heights have sizeable oil deposits. (Read, “World powers must recognize Israeli annexation of Golan Heights”; “Huge oil discovery in Golan Heights – Israeli media”). 4) From an imperialist perspective, the geopolitical re-design of the region would help expand plans for the strategic control of world resources and distribution.


 Crist’s revelation impels us to reflect on the motives and ideologies that underlie all anti-Arab actions taken by the United States. What we have today in Syria (and Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Libya, and Palestine) is an accurate reproduction of age-old tested policies by the West at the expense of nations targeted for reasons rooted in the politics of imperialism, colonialism, Zionism, and piracy of resources. In Syria, however, the situation is a little bit more intricate due to the presence of a long list of operators never seen before in a single regional war, not even in Afghanistan.

Note: since the dawn of Islam in Iraq (early 7th century) until the US invasion (2003), and regardless what administrative geopolitical form distinguished it, there have never been confessional lines in all Arab regions of Iraq or ethnic lines separating the various communities. However, historically, and during the rule of the Ottoman Turks, Arab Shiite Muslims formed a relative majority in the South of Iraq and Sunnis in the rest. After WWII, the lines between Arab Shiite and Sunni Muslims became integrated due to internal migrations and economic development. The US deliberately created the lines when it imposed a No-Fly Zone on specific regions of Iraq in 1991 after the war for Kuwait. Gisteren in het BBC World Service nieuws (radio) van 1.30 u. het bericht, dat er op zaterdag een demonstratie door Joodse- en Palestijnse Israëliërs werd gehouden tegen het geweld van Joodse pioniers (fascisten uit illegale nederzettingen) op Palestijnse mensen, de dag daarvoor. Volgens de nieuwslezer (dus de redactie), was e.e.a. het gevolg van geweld door een paar van die ‘settlers’ (pioniers) tegen een Palestijns gezin (het werpen van een molotovcocktail in het huis van dat Palestijns gezin), waarbij een ‘jonge Palestijn‘ om het leven kwam…… Het ging godgloeiendegodverdomme om een baby van 18 maanden!!!
Blijkbaar was dat te aanstootgevend om te noemen, ja voor je het weet, heb je woedende moslims en mensenrechtenactivisten op straat, ja toch…..????!!!
Als het om een Joods-Israëlisch kind van 3 jaar zou zijn gegaan, had men het alsnog over een baby gehad, dat is zeker!!!

Stan van Houcke plaatste vandaag een bericht over de NRC, die had gemeld, dat het huis in brand was gestoken door Israëliërs, i.p.v. Joodse-Israëliërs, er zijn tenslotte ook Palestijnse Israëliërs, hoewel die door Israël consequent (Israëlische-) arabieren worden genoemd…..

Het viel me pas op, toen ik vorige week de envelop met m’n stempas openmaakte: een nieuw ‘wapen’ voor gemeente Den Haag. Nadat we ongevraagd getrakteerd werden met een ooievaar, die half vergaan tegen een ruit geplakt zat, kreeg de Haagse bevolking voor het vriendenprijsje van € 100.000,–, een vliegertje door de strot geduwd. Daar was VVD sjoemelaar en fraudeur Huffnagel verantwoordelijk voor, die zijn vriendje Corbijn deze opdracht gunde en die voor dit gigantische bedrag aan belastinggeld, het lullige vliegertje uit de ‘losse pols’ tekende……. Dit nog naast Haagse vlaggen en briefpapier logo, met een paar blokjes van de ‘Victory Boogie Woogie…….’, waarvan ik nooit de kosten heb kunnen achterhalen, maar reken gerust dat ook dit niet misselijk was……….

Nu hebben we plotsklaps een ‘traditionele boekensteun’, met aan weerskanten van het Haagse wapen met de ooievaar, twee middeleeuwse leeuwen… ha! ha! ha! ha! In het echt hadden die leeuwen de ooievaar allang een kopje kleiner gemaakt…. Maar dat was het nog niet beste lezer, want de megalomane sufferds, die samen B&W vormen hebben daar onder laten zetten: ‘VREDE EN RECHT…..’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Nou dat recht is behoorlijk krom, neem het Joegoslavië tribunaal, wel de voormalige Servische leiders berechten, maar niemand van de westerse regeringen, of de NAVO en de VN, die in weerwil van het conventies van Genève, burgerdoelen lieten bombarderen, waarbij een behoorlijk aantal burgers omkwamen……..

Maar wat zijn ze bij het gemeentebestuur trots op het Internationaal Strafhof, een hof waar nooit onderdanen terecht zullen staan, uit de grootste landen ter wereld, Rusland, China en de VS, om over één van de kleinsten nog maar te zwijgen: Israël, dat in weerwil van vele VN resoluties, het ene bloedbad na het andere aanricht onder de weerloze Palestijnse bevolking, zoals het echte fascisten betaamt…….

Benieuwd wat het ontwerp van dit ‘nieuwe’ wapen heeft gekost en wat de kosten zijn van het nieuwe briefpapier en documenten, waar het op afgedrukt is….. Moet u nagaan, dit voor een stad met een voedselbank, die oudere- en andere armen niet, of met veel moeite kunnen bereiken………

Afgelopen zaterdag, in het nieuws van 13.00 u., het bericht over een demonstratie op het Haagse Spuiplein. Een demonstratie tegen het Israëlische geweld, dat wordt losgelaten op de Palestijnen in de openluchtgevangenis, die als Gazastrook wordt aangeduid. De nieuwslezer, een driftig ventje, dat ik geloof ik niet eerder hoorde, was in gesprek met een woordvoerder van het Nederlandse Palestina Komitee, dat medeorganisator van de demo was. De vrouw vertelde over het buitensporige geweld tegen de Palestijnen, toen de nieuwslezer de vrouw onderbrak en stelde, dat die Palestijnen allemaal ‘raketten’ (veredelde vuurpijlen zal je bedoelen!) afschieten richting Israël. Deze nieuwslezer gaf de vrouw niet één seconde de tijd om hierop te reageren………
Schande!!!

Over die demo is grote stront ontstaan, een paar dombo’s liepen met hakenkruisvlaggen rond, de reden voor pro-Israël figuren, om eens flink aan de ‘mediabel’ te gaan hangen. ‘Dom’ is het zeker, al kan je wel stellen, dat Israël en haar leger methoden gebruikt, die door de SS zijn uitgedacht, dat erkenden zelfs Israëlische officieren in de 90er jaren. De voorbeelden van die methoden zijn dan ook voldoende voorhanden, neem alleen al het beheersen van het getto, dat als Gazastrook wordt aangeduid, in feite één grote gevangenis, waar door Israël collectief wordt gestraft, voor overtredingen begaan door een minderheid. Vergeet daarbij niet, dat figuren die met deze vlaggen rondlopen, volkomen gefrustreerd zijn, immers Israël kan flikken wat het wil, resoluties van de VN Veiligheidsraad kunnen ongestraft genegeerd worden door dat land en het grote aantal slachtoffers aan de Palestijnse kant, inclusief kinderen, vrouwen en ouderen, staat niet in verhouding tot het minieme aantal slachtoffers dat in Israël valt. Dit is tevens de voedingsbodem voor radicalisering*, een voedingsbodem, die zal blijven bestaan, zolang het westen Israël door dik en dun blijft steunen, alsof de Palestijnen een vergelijkbare macht en slagkracht hebben, als de Israëliërs en alsof de Palestijnen niet voortdurend het leven onmogelijk wordt gemaakt door het Israëlische leger, zowel in de Gazastrook als op de West Bank…..

* Neem al het gezeur over de voedingsbodem voor de Nederlandse ‘jihadisten’ in Syrië……..
