Saoedi-Arabië geeft toe gruwelijke oorlogsmisdaden te hebben begaan in Jemen en nog onderneemt men geen stappen tegen deze bloederige dictatuur, die schunnig genoeg door de reguliere westerse media, het grootste deel van de westerse politici en zelfs door Wikipedia wordt aangeduid als ‘koninkrijk…..’ Bovendien wordt S-A door diezelfde media en politici regelmatig genoemd als bestrijder van terreur……

Hele huizenblokken heeft de Saoedische coalitie onder regie en met hulp van de VS platgegooid, dit nog naast de vernieling van ziekenhuizen, scholen, energiecentrales, waterzuiveringsinstallaties en de infrastructuur in brede zin, zoals de riolering, waardoor een cholera uitbraak kon ontstaan…… (een cholera uitbraak die nog steeds een groot aantal slachtoffers maakt, een paar weken geleden bombardeerde Saoedi-Arabië nog een ziekenhuis dat net was opgeleverd, een ziekenhuis van Artsen zonder Grenzen en gespecialiseerd in cholera…..*)
Door de acties van de Saoediërs is er ook honger ontstaan in Jemen (weet je nog de landelijke actie eind maart vorig jaar?) en heeft het land sinds vorig jaar ook te kampen met een difterie uitbraak….. Ondanks dat blokkeert S-A met hulp van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) en de VS het door de Houthi’s beheerste gebied, waardoor humanitaire hulpgoederen niet of amper de zo onder terreur liggende bevolking bereiken…….
Terug naar de reden voor dit bericht: de reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië heeft besloten haar militairen niet te vervolgen voor de misdaden begaan tegen het sjiitische volk van Jemen, dit om de ‘heroïsche inzet’ van de militairen te vieren……. Hoe godvergeten cynisch wil je het hebben..???!!!! Jezus op een houtvlot!! Lullig genoeg heeft de Saoedische dictatuur het voor elkaar gekregen van de VN dat het zelf de wandaden van haar politie (ook in eigen land gaat S-A tekeer tegen sjiieten..) en het leger mag onderzoeken…… Terecht vraagt Jason Ditz zich in het hieronder opgenomen artikel af, wat de zin van zo’n onderzoek is, als je van tevoren al zegt niet te zullen vervolgen, sterker nog: deze militairen zelfs te zullen eren……. Wedden dat de VS en Israël, beiden als S-A terreurstaten, dit land hebben gesteund in haar eis aan de VN zelf onderzoek in te stellen? Als het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) in Den Haag nu geen onderzoek instelt naar de genocide die S-A uitvoert op de sjiieten in Jemen, toont het voorgoed aan totaal overbodig en een lachertje te zijn!!
Saudi Arabia Issues Royal Pardon for Everything Soldiers Have Done in Yemen
The Saudi invasion of Yemen has been widely controversial internationally. Saudi airstrikes have killed massive numbers of Yemeni civilians, and the war has also caused a famine, and the largest cholera epidemic in human history.
Faced with UN criticism, Saudi officials heavily resisted allegations of wrongdoing, and ultimately got the UN to agree that Saudi Arabia would be allowed to investigate its own forces, and police themselves. This pardon shows none of that is going to matter.
It is unclear what prompted the pardon to be offered no, as the war shows no sign of ending, and there is no suggestion from official reports that the Saudis had punished any of their troops more than nominally for war crimes in the first place.
Het is intussen meer dan duidelijk dat de VS van meet af aan niet van plan was de kinderen die zij hun ouders afnamen bij binnenkomst in de VS, terug te geven aan die ouders.
Na eerdere berichten over een uiterst slechte of zelfs ontbrekende administratie van kinderen en hun ouders, maakte BBC World Service afgelopen vrijdag in het nieuws van 1.30 u. bekend dat de VS van 3.000 kinderen DNA wil afnemen, daar men niet weet wie de ouders zijn, van wie de VS NB zelf de kinderen heeft afgenomen………
Blijkbaar zag de Trump administratie dit wel als een afschrikwekkende straf voor ouders die het ‘gore lef’ hadden te vluchten voor veelal door de VS veroorzaakt geweld in eigen land, dezelfde VS die een heel groot deel van Latijns Amerika vol pompt met wapens en als het zo uitkomt dictators steunt of zelfs aan de macht helpt…….. Tot slot: de VS het gestolen land, waar diensten als de FBI en de DEA geld verdienen aan de smokkel van bijvoorbeeld cocaïne……..
PS: het is duidelijk dat een groot deel van deze kinderen met deze barbaarse gang van zaken een trauma voor het leven hebben opgelopen, dit nog naast het feit dat deze mensen en hun kinderen in feite in concentratiekampen zijn opgesloten…….
Vanmorgen berichtte BBC World Service radio (rond 10.15 u. CET) over Algerije, waar de politie razzia’s houdt en mensen oppakt die ofwel duidelijk uit Afrikaanse landen ten zuiden van de Sahara (sub-Sahara) komen, ofwel de politie pakt mensen op, vanwege de kleur die hun huid heeft…….
Mensen worden opgepakt waar ze werkzaam zijn en er wordt niet gecontroleerd of men legaal in Algerije is….. Deze mensen worden in bussen naar de grens van Algerije vervoerd, waar ze soms met honderd of meer, onder bedreiging van met scherp geladen wapens de woestijn in worden gestuurd, men wijst nog wel aan waar men bijvoorbeeld Niger of Mali kan vinden en verder zoeken ze het maar uit…….
Volgens de VN Vluchtelingenorganisatie (UNHCR) zijn er in de loop van een paar jaar naar schatting al 30.000 mensen in de woestijn omgekomen, niet alleen mensen die door Algerije de woestijn in worden gestuurd, maar ook mensen die bij hun vlucht naar Europa om zijn gekomen in de woestijn…..
E.e.a. zou bekend moeten zijn bij een groot aantal regeringen, waaronder de westerse, echter niemand die het opneemt voor de mensen die de dood in worden gestuurd……. Nee, men lult tot in het oneindige over het vluchtelingenprobleem in de EU* en komt dan met het walgelijke plan concentratiekampen in te richten in de EU en daarna in Noord-Afrika….. Concentratiekampen in Noord-Afrikaanse landen waar vluchtelingen de kans lopen te worden: -vermoord, -gemarteld, -uitgebuit als slaaf, -gebruikt als gijzelaar (waar de familie onder druk wordt gezet te betalen), of te worden misbruikt, waar de ‘opvang’ van deze mensen nu al gebeurt onder erbarmelijke omstandigheden, zal dat in de toekomst niet anders zijn, zie de erbarmelijke ‘opvang’ van vluchtelingen in Turkije…….

* Terwijl 90% van de vluchtelingen in eigen land, dan wel in buurlanden (‘opvang in de regio’) een ander heenkomen zoekt, in landen die voor het overgrote deel arm zijn, maar ‘blijkbaar zijn die landen in de ogen van EU lidstaten wel berekend op het opvangen van vluchtelingen….’ (wat ze niet zijn, zoals je waarschijnlijk al lang begrepen had)
Als je denkt alles wel gehad te hebben over de meer dan schunnige, inhumane manier waarop de VS omgaat met vluchtelingen, wordt je verrast door een volgend staaltje onwerkelijk en schandalig overheidsbeleid in de Verenging van Politiestaten die men de VS noemt….
Anti-Media bracht het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Elliot Gabriel, eerder geplaatst op MintPress News, waarin Gabriel ingaat op het meer dan idiote feit dat zelfs peuters van 3 jaar hun eigen zaak moeten bepleiten voor ‘rechtbanken’ in de VS…….
Kinderen die maar één ding willen: terug naar mama en/of papa, voor een rechtbank dagen en horen…… De ‘rechters’ in de VS moeten de oren van hun kop schamen dat ze niet al lang hun werk hebben neergelegd tot deze afschuwelijke gang van zaken van tafel is……
Overigens dateert het opsluiten van kinderen die werden gescheiden van hun ouders al uit de tijd van Obama*, de ‘vredesduif……’
Het voorgaande is de zoveelste schending van het VN Vluchtelingenverdrag door een westers land (en bepaald niet de eerste keer door de VS, zoals weer eens blijkt…)…… Moet je nagaan: de VS is in 9 van de 10 gevallen aan te wijzen als de diepe oorzaak achter de vlucht van mensen uit Latijns Amerika…… (en uit het Midden-Oosten, al is de VS daar, met hulp van andere NAVO landen in 100% van de gevallen verantwoordelijk voor de vluchtelingenstromen…….)
Het voorgaande geeft ten overvloede nog eens aan dat de rechtspraak in de VS zo krom is als een hoepel en aan dat land levert Nederland zelfs eigen burgers uit………..
Immigrant Toddlers Ordered to Appear in Federal Court Alone
(MPN) — Immigrant children as young as three years old are being forced to hold their own in deportation proceedings in federal court, judges have reported, further confirming how the cruelties of the U.S. immigrant enforcement regime have been largely unhindered by the local and global controversy it’s provoked.
The practice began under former President Barack Obama, but has widened under President Trump to encompass an ever-larger group of youth — who are often toddlers, unable to understand the dire circumstances that they’re in.
Speaking to Texas Tribune, Immigrant Defenders Law Center in Los Angeles executive director Lindsay Toczylowski said:
“We were representing a 3-year-old in court recently who had been separated from the parents. And the child — in the middle of the hearing — started climbing up on the table … It really highlighted the absurdity of what we’re doing with these kids.”
Continuing, she noted that the children are scarcely able to put into words the conditions – frequently violent – that force the families to leave their homes and make the treacherous journey to the north:
“The parent might be the only one who knows why they fled from the home country, and the child is in a disadvantageous position to defend themselves.
The kids don’t understand the intricacies that are involved with deportation and immigration court … They do understand that they have been separated from their parents, and the primary goal is to get back with people they love.”
Over 2,000 children are slated to face the proceedings in the absence of their parents, who alone have the vocabulary and the knowledge to properly explain to authorities what the context was that drove them to seek asylum or enter the United States.
While a federal judge ruled earlier this week that the reuniting of separated families must be a priority for the Trump administration, immigration lawyers are saying that this won’t help those parents who have already been sent home while their children languish in U.S. detention facilities. The lawyers also note that no actual model for such a reunification exists yet.
The revelation is just the latest indication of the enormous human costs of Trump’s stepped-up and “zero tolerance” immigration enforcement, mass confinement and deportation regime.
Confusion Reigns but the War on Migrants Must Continue
Now the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency has signaled that it will cease handing parents over to authorities until the administration can figure out how to make good on their prosecution without ripping their children from their arms.
Such a move would, in effect, be tantamount to the “catch and release” program opposed by Trump, which saw unauthorized migrants being released and told to return to face a judge in the future.
The government has been unable to cope with the demands placed on its detention and concentration camp facilities, leading to a crisis of overcrowding, rights abuses, and even calls by President Trump to suspend due process and asylum-protection rights for unauthorized immigrants.
“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came [sic].”
“Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!”
The CBP move also comes shortly after the Department of Defense confirmed that it had been tasked by the administration to hold migrants in camps within 45 days as an initial step toward managing the encampment of a migrant “family population of up to 12,000 people.”
If facilities are not available then camps meant to contain around 4,000 people each will be built at three separate locations, according to the Pentagon.
Trump appears to be faced with no good options, as the anger and outcry over his policies continues to build. The existing laws and restraints on the immigration enforcement regime that he inherited from past administrations have been a mere inconvenience for the president as he pursues this latest escalated war on migrants.
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project head Jorge Baron told Reuters:
“Here, I think he is making it clear, he just doesn’t want anybody here. He wants people to just be sent back, no matter what.”
Een kwaadaardige ‘christen’ uit de stal van het 666 beest Trump, procureur-generaal Jeff Sessions heeft besloten dat vluchtelingen bijvoorbeeld uit Zuid- en Midden-Amerika niet langer kunnen rekenen op asiel als ze geweld in eigen land ontvluchten, of dat nu geweld is van huiselijke, gender, dan wel van politieke aard is, ook slachtoffers van geweld door misdaadbendes kunnen het voor een groot deel vergeten………… Uiteraard hoort daar ook geweld als verkrachting toe…… Je snapt dat Sessions de zaak niet zo heeft gesteld als in de kop vermeld staat, echter als je zijn achterlijke, inhumane verhaal hoort, is dat zo ongeveer de enige mogelijkheid……
Deze enorme schoft stelt dat het niet genoeg is als de vluchteling stelt dat zijn/haar, regering niets doet tegen het geweld dat die persoon ondervindt. De vluchteling moet aantonen dat zijn/haar regering ofwel het geweld vergoelijkt dan wel bewezen niets heeft gedaan om geweld te voorkomen……. Met andere woorden, dit is de VVD variant: je bent pas een echte vluchteling als je dood bent……. Tja dan zou je als je nog leefde althans, aan kunnen tonen dat de regering niets heeft gedaan…….
Bovendien heb je veeleer te maken met lokale autoriteiten, ofwel een regering kan van goede wil zijn, maar als een verkrachter of moordenaar bevriend is met de lokale corrupte machthebber, kan je het alsnog schudden……..
Dan nog hebben we het woord vluchteling: iemand vlucht als de situatie onhoudbaar is en hij/zij en of naasten dan wel kinderen gevaar lopen te worden vermoord >> op zo’n moment heb je niet eens de kans iets dergelijks te bewijzen, immers je zal hals over kop moeten vluchten…. Trouwens hoe bewijs je dat een regering niets doet tegen geweld? De bewuste regering zelf zal dit als allereerste ontkennen, je mag dan wel een onderzoekbureau tot je beschikking hebben om een groot aantal gevallen van onwil aan te kunnen tonen……
Nogmaals, nu ook in de VS: een echte vluchteling is een dode vluchteling………
Je zou gvd hopen dat figuren als Sessions fiks ziek worden, hun hele hebben en houden kwijtraken en met hun gezin in dezelfde situatie terechtkomen als waar de vluchtelingen mee te maken hebben, en bij een asielaanvraag te maken krijgen met dezelfde houding die figuren als Sessions aan de dag leggen en dat graag voor de rest van hun miezerige, inhumane schoftenbestaan….. Maar ja, gerechtigheid bestaat niet (triester nog: zelfs een poging om je recht te halen wordt steeds moeilijker, zoals ook dit bericht weer aantoont….) Sessions stelt dat misbruik maken met de huidige regels te makkelijk is, terwijl mensenrechten advocaten dit met klem tegenspreken, het is bijzonder moeilijk om asiel in de VS te krijgen…… Sessions gaat met zijn besluit, precies als de EU met de Turkije deal, recht in tegen het VN Vluchtelingenverdrag………

‘Horrific’: Sessions Says Survivors of Domestic and Gang Violence Will No Longer Qualify for Asylum

In just the latest addition to the Trump administration’s mounting collectionof “cruel” policies aimed at closing off the nation to refugees and asylum-seekers, Attorney General Jeff Sessions released a new Justice Department guidance on Monday declaring that migrants will no longer automatically qualify for asylum if they present concerns of domestic abuse or gang violence.
“In what world does the United States turn its back on people who have suffered persecution, trauma, and extreme distress from domestic or gang violence?” said Denise Bell, a researcher for refugee and migrant rights at Amnesty International USA. “Today’s decision is a direct assault on people seeking protection, especially families fleeing persecution in Central America.”
“This is horrific,” tweetedone observer. “This is plain cruel,” respondedGavin Newsom, California’s lieutenant governor. “A disgrace,” concludeda law professor. “Can they go any lower?” remarked Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.).
“The mere fact that a country may have problems effectively policing certain crimes or that certain populations are more likely to be victims of crime, cannot itself establish an asylum claim,” Sessions’ guidance (pdf) states. “An applicant seeking to establish persecution based on violent conduct of a private actor must show more than the government’s difficulty controlling private behavior. The applicant must show that the government condoned the private actions or demonstrated an inability to protect the victims.”
Sessions first revealed that he would release the revised asylum policy during a speechto the nation’s immigration judges on Monday. In the address, he claimed “the asylum system is being abused to the detriment of the rule of law, sound public policy, and public safety,” and that “the vast majority of the current asylum claims are not valid.” But immigrants rights advocates pointed out that the asylum process is already incredibly difficult, and now it will be even harder for those fleeing violence to seek protection.
Those assertions followed an earlier decision, as CNNexplained, to use “a little-known authority to refer immigration cases to himself for review, allowing him to almost single-handedly direct how immigration law is interpreted in this country.”
Na veel vertraging heeft de Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) afgelopen zaterdag monsters genomen in Douma op de plek waar een gifgasaanval zou hebben plaatsgevonden. De missie wordt geëvalueerd door de OPCW en het United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), een VN organisatie die voor de veiligheid van het OPCW team zorgt, waarna men wellicht zal beslissen het onderzoek nog eens te herhalen.
Uitlatingen van westerse politici zoals de Franse opperhufter Macron en de reguliere westerse media, als zouden Syrië en Rusland het onderzoeksteam expres hebben vertraagd, werden tegengesproken, de vertraging had alles te maken met de inschatting van de veiligheid door het UNDSS team……..
Voorts zouden Rusland en Syrië ‘de plaats delict’ hebben gemanipuleerd en zaken hebben verwijderd dan wel verborgen, aldus dezelfde westerse politici en media. Dat heeft de OPCW intussen weersproken, ofwel ook dit was (alweer) valse anti-Syrische/Russische propaganda……..
Macron en de media spelen wel een heel smerig spel in deze, uitlatingen dat Rusland en Syrië de zaak zouden hebben vertraagd, was al een enorme leugen, daar de VN Veiligheidsraad met meerderheid van stemmen besloot tegen een onderzoek door de OPCW te stemmen!! (een onderzoek waar nu juist Rusland en Syrië op aan hadden gedrongen….) De OPCW besloot zelfstandig een onderzoek te starten en als dit orgaan deze beslissing niet had genomen, was er nog niets gebeurd……….. Zoals gezegd: Als je de reguliere media (plus het grootste deel van de westerse politici) moest geloven waren het Syrië en Rusland die tegen een onderzoek waren, dezelfde media en politici die zo’n grote bek hebben over ‘fake news’, maar zoals ook uit deze zaak blijkt, zelf de grote leveranciers zijn van ‘fake news’ (of ‘nepnieuws’)……..
Beste lezer het gaat nog veel verder: de Franse president Macron en de Britse premier May logen na de ‘gifgasaanval’ over onomstotelijke bewijzen te beschikken, maar gaven deze niet vrij. Dezelfde Macron beweert nu dat Rusland en Syrië de zaak hebben verdoezeld in Douma, echter wat maakt dat uit, als je toch onomstotelijk bewijs hebt dat het Syrische bewind de schuldige is???? (en dan nogmaals: van manipulaties op de plaats waar de aanval plaatsvond is niets gebleken, zo heeft de OPCW vastgesteld……)
Intussen hebben meerdere bronnen gemeld dat er in het geheel geen gifgasaanval heeft plaatsgevonden in Douma, iets dat de toenadering tussen de VS en Rusland kan verklaren, immers in de VS zal men intussen wel begrepen hebben dat de aanval van de VS, Frankrijk en GB op Syrische doelen na de zogenaamde gifgasaanval, nooit had mogen plaatsvinden, ofwel dat was de zoveelste enorme oorlogsmisdaad van de VS en een paar van haar NAVO partners, de NAVO dat in feite onder opperbevel van de VS staat………..

Trouwens ongelofelijk dat je vanuit de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici, nooit commentaar hoort op het feit dat de door hen zo geliefde ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) beschikken over gifgas, terwijl al lang bewezen is dat deze terreurgroepen daadwerkelijk gifgas hebben gebruikt, zoals bij de grote gifgasaanval in 2013, zo concludeerde zelfs een VN onderzoeksteam!! (nog steeds zegt men keihard in de westerse politiek en media dat deze aanval door het Assad bewind werd uitgevoerd…….)

OPCW Chemical Inspection Team Reaches Douma After Issuing Statement Negating “Russia Cover-Up” Claim
After many days of delay inside the security arch of Damascus’ city center, the international chemical weapons watchdog group, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), announced that its team of investigators finally entered the Damascus suburb town of Douma early on Saturday.
In an official statement posted to its website, the OPCW confirmed the following:
The Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) team of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) visited one of the sites in Douma, Syrian Arab Republic today to collect samples for analysis in connection with allegations of chemical weapons use on 7 April 2018. The OPCW will evaluate the situation and consider future steps including another possible visit to Douma.
The OPCW Fact-Finding Mission will initially study the collected samples at an OPCW lab in the Netherlands, with potential sample distribution to its other designated labs. In the past, it’s take up to multiple weeks or months for the OPCW to issue a preliminary report to the public.
The samples collected will be transported to the OPCW Laboratory in Rijswijk and then dispatched for analysis to the OPCW’s designated labs. Based on the analysis of the sample results as well other information and materials collected by the team, the FFM will compile their report for submission to the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention for their consideration.
It is unclear if any of what was collected includes tissue samples from corpses as it’s now being widely reported that the jihadist group which previously held the area – Jaish al-Islam – hastily buried the bodies of alleged chemical attack victims.
Though the team was invited into the country by the Syrian and Russian governments – both signatories to the international body devoted to decommissioning global stockpiles of banned chemical weapons – there’s been much spin and obfuscation regarding why the team was actually delayed, with a number of media outlets in the West falsely claiming that Syria and Russia were attempting a cover-up.
This was based in part on the unverified claims of political leaders in the West who have long sought Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s ouster, and who have given covert aid to various jihadist rebel groups.
France’s foreign minister, for example, accused both Damascus and Russia of “obstructionism [which] is obviously undermining the caliber of the investigation. It is most likely aimed at removing evidence and other material elements linked to the chemical attack on the very site where it took place.”
However, in spite of multiple international headlines, Western leaders, and journalists who reside far outside of Syria claiming a chemical cover-up conspiracy in the making, the OPCW in official statements confirmed that they were prevented from visiting Douma not by Syrian or Russian authorities, but by United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), which has the final say over OPCW movements within Syria.
On 16 April, we received confirmation from the National Authority of the Syrian Arab Republic that, under agreements reached to allow the evacuation of the population in Ghouta, the Syrian military were unable to enter Douma. The security for the sites where the FFM plans to deploy was under the control of the Russian Military Police. The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) has made the necessary arrangements with the Syrian authorities to escort the team to a certain point and then for the escort to be taken over by the Russian Military Police. However, the UNDSS preferred to first conduct a reconnaissance visit to the sites, which took place yesterday. FFM team members did not participate in this visit.
On arrival at Site 1, a large crowd gathered and the advice provided by the UNDSS was that the reconnaissance team should withdraw. At Site 2, the team came under small arms fire and an explosive was detonated. The reconnaissance team returned to Damascus.
Though the OPCW statement further acknowledged the area to be a “highly volatile environment” fraught with “security risks” – a number of journalists actually made it into Douma early in the week prior to the OPCW team’s arrival.
Zero Hedge bracht een artikel van Tyler Durden waarin deze de berichtgeving rond de ‘gifgasaanval’ in het Syrische Douma door The Guardian onder de spreekwoordelijke loep nam.
De conclusie is niet misselijk: de berichtgeving in The Guardian zou zo weggelopen kunnen zijn uit het boek 1984 van George Orwell.
Zaken worden op zo’n manier gebracht dat de argeloze lezer maar één conclusie kan trekken: Assad heeft een massamoord begaan, niet alleen in Douma maar in heel Oost-Ghouta…. Voorts zou Rusland dat hebben gesteund en hebben meegeholpen…… Waar Syrië al sinds de oorlog daar begon werd en wordt gedemoniseerd, dit door een door de VS en een aantal partners georganiseerde opstand, waar de eerste onderhandelingen tot het omverwerpen van het Assad regime al van 2006 dateren (daar zijn bewijzen voor, o.a. te vinden in Wikileaks!)
Ook het woordgebruik interesseert Durden, jammer genoeg zijn deze moeilijk te vertalen, zoals het verschil tussen de Engelse werkwoorden ‘purifying’ en ‘clearing’, waar de eerste makkelijk kan aangeven dat men een plek heeft gezuiverd van plaagdieren en de tweede aan kan geven dat een plek is vrijgemaakt van terroristen. Ja, ik weet ‘t, dit laat zich niet zo makkelijk vertalen, echter daar komt het wel op neer, zo wordt de eerste, dus ‘purifying’ gebruikt voor de handelswijze van het legitieme, democratisch gekozen regime in Syrië, ofwel Syrië heeft Oost-Ghouta gezuiverd van ongedierte en dat doet men veelal middels vergassing……. (overigens legt Durden een enigszins ander verband)
Nogmaals wijst Durden op de weigering van de VS en haar westerse hielenlikkers om de OPCW in te schakelen voor een onafhankelijk onderzoek naar de gifgasaanval in Douma, iets waar Syrië en Rusland op aandrongen. Gelukkig besloot de OPCW zelfstandig een onderzoek in te stellen……. Kijk dat is toch een heel ander verhaal dan ons door de reguliere media en het grootste deel van de politiek door de strot werd geduwd: Syrië en Rusland weigeren een onderzoek naar de ‘gifgasaanval’ in Douma! (en dat op een manier en frequentie die zich het best laat vergelijken met hersenspoelen….)
How The Guardian Fulfills George Orwell’s Prediction Of ‘Newspeak’
On Sunday April 15th, Britain’s Guardian bannered “OPCW inspectors set to investigate site of Douma chemical attack” and pretended that there was no question that a chemical attack in Douma Syria on April 7th had actually occurred, and the article then went further along that same propaganda-line, to accuse Syria’s Government of having perpetrated it. This ‘news’ story opened [and clarificatory comments from me will added in brackets]:
UN chemical weapons investigators were set on Sunday to begin examining the scene of a chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma, which had prompted the joint US, French and British strikes against military installations and chemical weapons facilities near the capital, Damascus.
The arrival of the delegation from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) came as the Syrian military announced that it had “purified” [no source provided, but this — from 7 March 2018—is the only source that existed prior to the April 14th missiles-invasion of Syria, and its meaning is very different: the region of eastern Ghouta, of which Douma is a part, after a two-month campaign that killed nearly 2,000 civilians [no source provided as regards either the number, or that all of them were ‘civilians’ and that none of them were jihadists or “terrorists”], following years of siege.
The propaganda-article continued directly:
“Units of our brave armed forces, and auxiliary and allied forces, completed the purification of eastern Ghouta, including all its towns and villages, of armed terrorist organisations,” the general command statement said.
In other words: the Guardian’s ‘journalist’ had substituted the word “clear” by the word “purify” and did this after having already asserted but not documented, that the Government had just completed “a two-month campaign that killed nearly 2,000 civilians.”
When the Syrian Government announces that an area has been “cleared of terrorists (or of terrorism),” the US-allied propagandist uses the word “purify,” such as “purified the region of eastern Ghouta” or “the purification of eastern Ghouta, including all its towns and villages, of armed terrorist organisations.”
But by the time that the reader gets there to “purification … of armed terrorist organisations,” the reader has already been indoctrinated to believe that Syria’s Government is trying to “purify” land, or perpetrate some type of ethnic-cleansing.
Later, the article asserts that,
“The OPCW mission will arrive in Douma eight days after the chemical attack, and days after the area fell to the control of Russian military and Syrian government forces. That delay, along with the possibility of the tampering of evidence by the forces accused of perpetrating the attack, raises doubts about what the OPCW’s inspectors might be able to discover.”
However, a fierce debate is being waged over whether this was not any real “chemical attack” but instead a staged event by the jihadists in order to draw Trump back into invading Syria. In other words: any journalistic reference yet, at this time, to the event as “the chemical attack” instead of as “the alleged chemical attack” is garbage, just as, prior to the guilty-verdict in a murder trial, no journalistic reference may legitimately be made to the defendant as “the murderer,” instead of as “the defendant.” That is lynch-mob ‘journalism’, which Joseph Goebbels championed.
The Joseph-Goebbels-following ‘journalist’ has thus opened by implying that the Russia-allied Syrian Government is trying to crush a democratic revolution, instead of the truth, that the US-allied Governments are trying to overthrow and replace the Russia-allied Syrian Government.
It’s a big difference, between the lie, and the truth.
Furthermore, as regards “press for inquiry into chemical weapons stockpiles,” the real and urgent issue right now is to allow the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) into Douma to hold an independent and authoritative investigation into the evidence there.Russia pressed for it at the U.N. Security Council and the US and its allies blocked it there. But the OPCW went anyway — even after the US-allied invasion on April 14th — and this courageous resistance by them against the US dictatorship can only be considered heroic.
That type of ‘news’-reporting is virtually universal in The West, among the US and its allied governments, which refer to themselves as ‘democracies’ and refer to any Government that they wish to overthrow and replace by their own selected dictator, as ‘dictatorships’, such as these regimes had referred to Iraq in 2003, Libya in 2011, Syria forever, and Ukraine in 2014.
PS: gezien het voorgaande is het niet vreemd dat de VS toenadering heeft gezocht tot Rusland, zoals vannacht bekend werd gemaakt, immers snel zal blijken dat er geen gifgasaanval heeft plaatsgevonden in Douma….. Reken maar dat wanneer de VS nog steeds van het tegenovergestelde overtuigd was, de Trump administratie een toenadering tussen Rusland en de VS had afgewezen……. Trouwens ook hierover wordt weer volop gelogen in de media, als zou Putin eindelijk de redelijkheid van het westen in deze inzien…….. Alsof Rusland tot nu toe elk overleg heeft afgewezen, een smerige leugen…. Sterker nog: zoals eerder op deze plek betoogd: met de VS in de omgekeerde rol, waren we waarschijnlijk al in een enorme oorlog verwikkeld geweest, neem het neerschieten van een Russische jager, of de massamoord op 100 Russische vrijwilligers, die aan de kant van het Syrisch leger meevochten, dan wel de aanval op een Russische tank…….. Het is aan Putin te danken dat deze en andere zaken niet tot een oorlog (WOIII) hebben geleid!
De enorme anti-Syrische en Russische propaganda n.a.v. de ‘gifgasaanval’ op Douma, is zonder meer hysterisch te noemen en is niets anders dan het bespelen van de publieke opinie voor een volledige oorlog tegen het democratisch gekozen Syrische bewind……… (je kan hier rustig van hersenspoelen spreken)
De schrijver van het volgende artikel heeft de zaken nog eens op een duidelijke rij gezet en kan dan ook niet anders dan tot de conclusie komen dat de VS en haar bondgenoten uit zijn op een oorlog met Rusland, ofwel WOIII……. Let wel: een oorlog die dan gevoerd zal worden op basis van leugens zoals dit het geval was met de illegale oorlogen van de VS en NAVO tegen: Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en uiteindelijk Syrië, waar de VS (gesteund door de rest van het westen) nu met leugens over een gifgasaanval zegt een aanval te moeten openen tegen het Syrische bewind…..*
Onder andere aandacht voor de ‘gifgasaanval’ op Khan Sheikhoun vorig jaar en de enorme leugens die later werden doorgeprikt…… Ondanks dat blijft men volhouden dat Syrië achter de aanval zat, hetzelfde geldt voor de gifgasaanval in 2013, deze werd in de schoenen van Assad geschoven, maar bewezen door de ‘gematigde rebellen’ uitgevoerd >> dagelijks hoor je de laatste dagen (sinds de ‘gifgasaanval’ op Douma) onder meer op de landelijke nieuws- en actualiteiten radiozenders Radio1, BNR, BBC World Service, Radio Nova Scotia en WDR de leugen herhaalt worden dat het reguliere Syrische leger verantwoordelijk was voor deze aanval……..
Voorts wordt nog eens aangegeven hoe blij de bewoners van door het Syrische leger bevrijdde gebieden zijn, blij van de vreselijke terreur af te zijn, waaronder zij moesten leven…..
Years of chemical weapons allegations, saber rattling and a desperate search for a casus belli have culminated in a situation which risks a serious conflict of world powers.
Western neoconservatives and hawks are driving the international situation to increase tension and danger. Not content with the destruction of Iraq and Libya based on false claims, they are now pressing for a direct U.S. attack on Syria As a dangerous prelude, Israeli jets flying over Lebanese airspace fired missiles against the T4/Tiyas Airbase west of Palmyra.
This was Predicted
As reported at Tass, the Chief of Russia’s General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, predicted the current events almost a month ago. The report from March 13 says:
Russia has hard facts about preparations for staging the use of chemical weapons against civilians by the government forces. After the provocation, the U.S. plans to accuse Syria’s government forces of using chemical weapons … furnish the so-called ‘evidence’ … and Washington plans to deliver a missile and bomb strike against Damascus’ government districts.”
Gerasimov noted that Russian military advisors are staying in the Syrian Defense Ministry’s facilities in Damascus and “in the event of a threat to our military servicemen’s lives, Russia’s Armed Forces will take retaliatory measures to target both the missiles and their delivery vehicles.”
The situation is clearly dangerous with risk of sliding into international conflict and even WW3. If that happens, it would mean the demise of civilization. All of this so that the West can continue supporting the sectarian armed groups seeking to overthrow the Assad government … in violation of international law and the UN Charter.
The most powerful country in the world is now led by a real estate, hotel and entertainment mogul without political experience. Behind the scenes, there is a powerful foreign policy establishment determined to maintain and reclaim U.S. unilateral “leadership” of the world. They don’t like the fact that the U.S. is losing influence, prestige and power around the world. Israel and Saudi Arabia are especially upset that their plans for regional domination are failing.
East Ghouta, Damascus
East Ghouta is a district of farms and towns on the north-east outskirts of Damascus. For the past six years, various armed factions controlled the area. On a nearly daily basis, they launched mortar and hell cannon missile attacks into Damascus, killing many thousands. This author personally witnessed two such mortar attacks in April 2014.
By the end of March, most of East Ghouta had been retaken by the government. With the peaceful evacuation of armed militants, civilians flooded into the humanitarian corridors and then government camps for the displaced. The campaign was proceeding quickly with minimal loss of life as the Russian Reconciliation officers negotiated agreements which allowed the militants to keep small weapons and be transported to Idlib in the north. Vanessa Beeley documented the situation including the happiness and relief of many civilians as they finally made it to safety. One described the feeling as “like being reborn”. Robert Fisk was on site and reported what he saw firsthand in stories titled Watching on as Islamist fighters are evacuated from war-torn Eastern Ghouta and Western howls of outrage over the Ghouta siege ring hollow.

As reported at the Russian Reconciliation Centre, by the end of March, 105,857 civilians had moved into government-controlled areas while 13,793 militants plus 23,433 family members had been transported north. Those who wanted to stay, including former fighters, were welcomed. They could rejoin Syrian society with the same rights and obligations as other Syrians.
The last remaining opposition stronghold was the town of Douma, controlled by the Saudi funded Jaish al Islam. Negotiations were prolonged because Jaish al Islam did not want to go to Idlib which is dominated by another militant opposition group, Jabhat al Nusra also known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
The Chemical Incident
On Saturday, April 7 video and stories claiming a chemical weapons attack in Douma were broadcast. The video showed dozens of dead children. On Sunday the story grabbed western mainstream media headlines. U.S. President Trump quickly came to a conclusion, President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price to pay.”

There has been no objective investigation. The media claims are based on statements and videos from members of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and White Helmets. Both organizations receive significant funding from the U.S. government and call for Western intervention in Syria.
Chemical weapons have emerged as the quick and easy justification for aggression. One year ago, in April 2017, it was the incident at Khan Shaykoun. That resulted in a U.S. attack on a Syrian air base just days later. The subsequent investigation discovered that dozens of victims had shown up in hospitals in diverse locations and up to 100 kms away from the scene of crime BEFORE the event happened.
Strangely, and indicating the investigation team’s bias, this red flag pointing to fraud was not investigated further. If it was just a few victims or just one location, it might be a mistake in time record-keeping. However, in this case, there were dozens of discrepancies in multiple locations, clearly raising the possibility of fraud.
Now we have the incident in Douma, a town on the outskirts of Damascus. The armed opposition is in retreat. They have tried to pressure the US and NATO to intervene directly since 2012. They have access to chemical weapons in East Ghouta and a motive. They also have thousands of prisoners. This is the group which put hundreds of prisoners, primarily women, and children, in cages on the streets of Douma.
Who Benefits?
The timing of the chemical weapons incidents is also noteworthy. As documented here, one year ago on 30 March 2017 Ambassador Haley said the U.S. policy was no longer focused on getting Assad out. Five days later the chemical incident at Khan Sheikhoun happened, quickly followed by blaming the Syrian government, a U.S. attack and a restoration of the demand that “Assad must go”. On March 29 Trump said that U.S. forces will withdraw from Syria “very soon”. This was followed by outcries from the media and political establishment. Now, following the Saturday chemical weapons incident, the U.S. is again threatening to intervene directly. The chemical weapons incidents have consistently resulted in the reversal of a proposed change in hostility toward Syria.
Neoconservatives and the supporters of ‘regime change’ foreign policy have various theories why the Assad government would perpetrate a chemical weapons attack. Senator John McCain says the Syrian President was “emboldened” by the previous Trump statement.
Juan Cole, an academic who promoted the assaults on Libya in 2011, has a different theory. He says:,“Chemical weapons are used by desperate regimes that are either outnumbered by the enemy or are reluctant to take casualties in their militaries. Barrel-bombing Douma with chem seems to have appealed to the regime as a tactic for this reason. It had potential of frightening the Douma population into deserting the Army of Islam.” In contrast with his theory, chemical weapons were used extensively by the U.S. in Vietnam and Iraq when they were far from desperate. As evidenced in the flow of civilians into government-held areas, most of the civilian population are happy to get away from the sectarian and violent Army of Islam (“Jaish al Islam”). Cole seems to be basing his theories on inaccurate western media coverage just as he did regarding Libya where sensational claims about a looming massacre in Benghazi were later shown to be fraudulent.
It’s clear who benefits from sensational media coverage about a chemical weapons incident: those who seek to demonize the Syrian government and President and want the U.S. government to intervene militarily. Every time there is an incident, it is quickly accepted and used by the governments and organizations who have been seeking ‘regime change’ in Syria for many years.
Manipulating Public Opinion

The manipulation of western opinion about the Syrian conflict using fake events is not theory; it has been proven. A good example is the fake kidnapping of NBC reporter Richard Engel in December 2012. Engel and his media team were reportedly kidnapped and threatened with death by “Shabiha” supporters of the Syrian president. After days in captivity, the American team was supposedly rescued by Free Syrian Army “rebels” after a shootout. In 2015 it was confirmed this was a hoax perpetrated by the FSA and their American supporters. The entire charade was carried out by the “rebels”. The goal was to demonize the Assad government and its supporters and to romanticize and increase support for the armed opposition. Neither Engel nor NBC confessed to the reality until it was about to be exposed years later, pointing to duplicity and collusion in the deception.
Four and half years ago, on 21 August 2013, the most famous chemical weapons incident occurred. The Syrian government was immediately accused of launching a sarin attack which killed hundreds of children and civilians. Over the next six months, investigations were carried out. The conclusions of Seymour Hersh, Robert Parry and the research site whoghouta.com concluded that the attack was almost certainly NOT from the government but actually from one of the ‘rebel’ factions with support from Turkish intelligence services. Two Turkish parliamentary deputies held a press conference and publicly revealed some of the evidence. The intent then, as now, was to provide justification and provocation for the U.S. and NATO to intervene directly.
An Imminent Attack
Today there is the imminent possibility of a major attack based on the allegations of a clearly biased source. Whatever happened to international law and legal due process? Why is violence being threatened before there is a serious objective investigation of the chemical incident? If the accusations against Syria are true, why not have a serious investigation, especially now that the area has been liberated today (9 April) and safe access can be provided?
The drums of war are pounding. After over one year of incessant Russia bashing and disinformation, is the public ready to go to war with Russia over Syria? Neoconservative hawks and their Israeli and Saudi allies seem to want this. Their plans and predictions for Iraq, Libya and Yemen were delusional fantasies with the price paid in blood by the people of those countries and in treasure by Americans as well. Sadly, there has not been any accountability for the media and political establishment that promoted and launched these wars. Now they want to escalate the aggression by attacking Syria, causing vastly more blood to flow and risking a confrontation with a country which can fight back.

Al meer dan een maand geleden werd bekend gemaakt dat in het Syrische gebied Oost-Ghouta waar o.a. de stad Douma ligt, de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars die beschikken over gifgas, zoals bekend in het westen…..*) bezig waren met de voorbereiding van een gifgasaanval en dat er i.d.d. een grote hoeveelheid chlorine werd opgeslagen (zie o.a. de eerste links opgenomen onder het artikel van Anti-Media)……..
Het is dan ook volkomen duidelijk dat het bij de gifgasaanval op Douma om de zoveelste ‘false flag’ operatie gaat. Tot nu toe zijn alle gifgasaanvallen in Syrië, die sinds de strijd daar begon en die onafhankelijk werden onderzocht, toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen….’ Ondanks deze kennis blijft men volhouden dat Assad de schuldige is, zoals de grote gifgasaanval van 2013, die naderhand door de VN aan de ‘gematigde rebellen’ werd toegeschreven……. (nog steeds wordt niet alleen in de politiek, maar zelfs in de media volgehouden dat dit een gifgasaanval was, die werd gepleegd door het Assad regime…….. En maar lullen over ‘fake news……’)
Ongelofelijk dat men gisteren ‘al wist wie de schuldige is’, Donald ‘Joker’ Trump had maar een half woord nodig om tekeer te gaan tegen Assad……. Benieuwd of hij daar de dagen ervoor al op had geoefend, immers deze aanval is minstens met medeweten van de VS gepleegd……..
Als één van de betrouwbare bronnen werden uiteraard de White Helmets genoemd, een steungroep voor Al Qaida en andere terreurgroepen in Syrië……. Ondanks dat er voldoende bewijs is voor het zich schuldig maken aan terreur door de White Helmets, plus de verdere steun van deze zogenaamde humanitaire hulporganisatie voor de terreurgroepen, o.a door als spreekbuis te dienen voor deze terroristen (die vreselijke misdaden hebben begaan in Syrië), blijven westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media deze groep als een ‘humanitaire hulporganisatie’ zien…….
Tja, als eerste moet je je altijd afvragen bij dergelijke aanvallen, wie heeft er het meest baat bij, daarna is de vraag ‘waarom’ meestal heel makkelijk te beantwoorden, waarbij alleen nog het wachten is op de bevestiging van je vermoeden. Tegelijk moet je je afvragen wat de door de politiek en media aangewezen schuldige er voor baat bij had om een dergelijke aanval te doen….
Gezien alle beschuldigingen aan het adres van de Syrische regering, zou het nogal dom zijn om een dergelijke aanval uit te voeren, zeker daar het Syrische leger zonder dit soort oorlogsmisdaden de terroristen steeds verder terugdringt…….. Daarnaast hebben internationale chemische wapenexperts gezegd, dat het Syrische leger geen chemische wapens meer heeft (dit bijvoorbeeld i.t.t. De VS, die ze al lang had moeten vernietigen….)…. De ‘gematigde rebellen’ hebben baat bij deze beschuldiging, daar ze op het punt staan verdreven te worden uit Douma (nogmaals: al voor deze gifgasaanval)……. Daarbij rekent men op de steun van de VS in de strijd tegen het reguliere Syrische leger……. Bovendien hebben deze ‘gematigde rebellen’ de beschikking over gifgas (zie ook de noot * onder het hierna opgenomen artikel)
Al is een dergelijke handelswijze, het afwegen wie er baat heeft bij deze aanval, in dit geval niet eens nodig, daar zoals gezegd alle voorgaande gifgasaanvallen aan de gematigde rebellen zijn toegeschreven. Behalve dacht ik die op Khan Sheikhoun, daar de terreurgroep ter plaatse een onderzoekscommissie waaraan ook de Russen zouden deelnemen, categorisch hebben geweigerd (met steun van de VS)…….. Hoewel er naderhand bewijzen te over waren, voor de claim dat zoals gezegd een voorraad chlorine van deze terroristen werd geraakt bij een bombardement van de Syrische luchtmacht……
Gezien de uiterst fanatieke, veel te snelle reactie van Trump en o.a. plork Macron, de Franse president, moet gevreesd worden dat deze figuren de Russen zullen uitdagen door het voortouw te nemen om Damascus en andere steden, van het legitieme, democratisch gekozen Syrische bewind, te bombarderen……… We mogen hopen dat Putin, zoals hij al vaker heeft gedaan, zijn verstand zal gebruiken, anders zijn de ‘oorlogsrapen’ definitief gaar……
Trouwens, op 26 februari maakte de anti-Assad propaganda machine bekend dat er een gifgasaanval op Oost-Ghouta zou zijn gepleegd, zoals nu blijkt ‘een beetje voortijdig….’
Trump Threatens Putin and “Animal Assad” Over Syrian Chemical Attack
Remember when the US admitted Syrian “rebels” have used chemical weapons? Or when earlier this year, the now former Secretary of State blamed Russia for an alleged Syrian chemical attack, despite admitting he doesn’t know who actually did it?Or when the US finally admitted there was “no evidence” Assad used sarin gas? Or just last week, when Trump said that the US is finally pulling out of Syria as a result of the defeat of ISIS (much to the Pentagon’s fury and open-ended timetable for extracting Syrian resources)?
Well, maybe you do, but the neocons areback in charge of US war preparations foreign policy – now that war hawk John Bolton is Trump’s National Security Advisor – are so stuck with the age-old narrative that Assad is desperate to be bombed at any cost, that none of this actually matters, and instead the big story overnight is once again that, lo and behold, Assad decided to gas some “rebels” again, despite now overwhelmingly winning the war against US-backed insurgents, and despite knowing very well that exactly one year ago an alleged “chemical attack” prompted Trump to launch dozens of Tomahawks at Syria.
This is what happened (if you’ve seen this script played out before, you are not alone).
On Saturday night, an alleged chemical attack on a rebel-held town in eastern Ghouta reportedly killed dozens of people, according to US-linked medical services with Washington immediately responding that the reports – if confirmed – would demand an immediate international response. Actually scratch the “if confirmed” part – after all, the last time the US “intervened” in Syria, on April 7, 2017, the US did not need confirmation; Trump just needed a geopolitical distraction.
It seems that he needs another one again, and ideally one that shows just how angry he is with Putin now that an interview with Mueller is reportedly imminent.
A joint statement by the medical relief organization Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and the civil defense service, which operates in rebel-held areas, said 49 people had died in the attack late on Saturday. Others put the toll at 150 or more.

The response from the Assad side was similarly predictable: the Syrian regime, whose overthrow the US failed to achieve in the course of the 6 year proxy war in order to facilitate the transport of Qatari natural gas to Europe, denied its forces had launched any chemical attack as the reports began circulating and said the rebels were collapsing and fabricating news.
The Syrian state news agency SANA said Jaish al-Islam was making “chemical attack fabrications in an exposed and failed attempt to obstruct advances by the Syrian Arab army,” citing an official source.
Meanwhile, Reuters said it could not independently verify the reports. Others did the same: The Syrian Observatory said it could not confirm whether chemical weapons had been used in the attack on Saturday.
But, as we noted above, who needs confirmation: after all, if the 2013 “chemical attack” that started it all and was later proven to be a hoax was sufficient, just do the same. And sure enough, a video uploaded by “local media activists” allegedly showed bodies of victims – including women and children – of the reported chemical attack in Douma. Once again, nobody has actually confirmed if anyone has died.

Meanwhile, the US, itching for that military spending GDP boost was ready with the outraged retort: the U.S. State Department said reports of mass casualties from the attack were “horrifying” and would, if confirmed, “demand an immediate response by the international community”. At the same time, Britain’s
Foreign Office also called the reports, if confirmed, “very concerning” and said “an urgent investigation is needed and the international community must respond. We call on the Assad regime and its backers, Russia and Iran, to stop the violence against innocent civilians.”
Note the “if confirmed” part, and keep an eye on how the narrative switches from that to “the attack was confirmed.” If the Skripal case is any indication, just repeating it often enough, should be sufficient.
Trump already did his part on Sunday morning, when he tweeted several statements on the alleged attack as if it was already confirmed, just as one would expect to accelerate the escalation:

Then, for good measure, Trump decided to throw Obama under the bus for not crossing his “red line in the sand”, once again assuming the attack was confirmed.
If President Obama had crossed his stated Red Line In The Sand, the Syrian disaster would have ended long ago! Animal Assad would have been history!
After the alleged attack, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauret recalled a 2017 sarin gas attack in northwestern Syria that the West and the United Nations blamed on Assad’s government. “The Assad regime and its backers must be held accountable and any further attacks prevented immediately,” she said adding that “The United States calls on Russia to end this unmitigated support immediately and work with the international community to prevent further, barbaric chemical weapons attacks.”
The US also said yet again that Russia is “ultimately bearing responsibility” for all chemical incidents in Syria, regardless of who carried them out, after rebel sources accused Damascus of gassing dozens in Eastern Ghouta’s Douma. In other words, even if the “chemical attack” was carried out by US-backed “rebels”, or better yet “ISIS”, it’s Putin’s fault.
“The regime’s history of using chemical weapons against its own people is not in dispute,” said the US State Department, indicating, however, that it was relying on “reports,” being unable to confirm the incident. “Russia ultimately bears responsibility for the brutal targeting of countless Syrians with chemical weapons.”
As for Russia, its Defense Ministry immediately denied and dismissed as false reports that the Syrian government had carried out a chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta’s Douma: “We strongly refute this information,” Major General Yury Yevtushenko, head of the Reconciliation Center in Syria, said in a statement on Sunday. “We declare our readiness, after Douma is liberated from the militants, to immediately send Russian radiation, chemical and biological protection specialists to collect data that will confirm the fabricated nature of these allegations,” he stated.
Yevtushenko said that “a number of Western countries” are trying to prevent the resumption of an operation aimed at driving militants from the city of Douma.
“For this purpose, the use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces – one of the most widespread claims in the West – is being used,” he added.
And, knowing where this is all headed, Russia’s Foreign Ministry says in statement on website that reports of chemical weapons attack in rebel-held town of Douma are fabricated, and any military operations against Syria on false pretenses may lead to “gravest consequences.”
Russia warns the US not to strike Syria after the chemical attack: “Military intervention under false & fabricated pretexts in Syria, where Russian servicemen stay at the request of the legitimate government, is absolutely unacceptable and may trigger the gravest consequences.”
The Russians added that “the goal of such reports is to aid terrorists and justify possible military strikes from outside Syria.”
Russia is correct, and it is now just a matter of time before Trump unveils his next grand diversion from the chaos at home and the trade war with China, by launching another 50 or so Tomahawks at some venue deep inside Syria, in a carbon copy repeat of what happened exactly one year ago.

* Dat bleek o.a. na de zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Kahn Sheikhun, waarbij een opslagplaats van de ‘ gematigde rebellen’ met chlorine werd geraakt…….. Daar stelde men eerst dat er sarin gas zou zijn gebruikt, echter daar bleek niets van waar, het was chlorine (dit bleek al bij de eerste beelden van slachtoffers, waarbij de hulpverleners te zien waren, die geen beschermende kleding droegen, iets dat men sarin gas absoluut noodzakelijk is, daar de onderzoekers anders hun leven riskeren….). Ondanks dat dus bekend werd gemaakt dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ voorraden gifgas in het bezit hadden, werd daar verder niets, met ook maar enige afkeuring, over gezegd in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media, of in de westerse politiek……. De VS liep overigens al eens tegen de lamp, toen er beelden naar buiten werden gebracht van een VS jager, die men de kleuren van de Syrische luchtmacht had gegeven. Het is overduidelijk dat men met deze jager een aanval had willen uitvoeren (en wellicht al had uitgevoerd..), om deze in de schoenen van Assad te schuiven (het zou de zoveelste false flag operatie van de VS zijn geweest)…….
Een volledige herhaling van zetten als bij de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo: de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen schieten op burgers die Oost-Ghouta via de door de regering ingestelde corridors willen ontvluchten……
Ook destijds in Oost-Aleppo had men hier geen aandacht voor in de westerse reguliere media, behalve dan een ‘hickup’ van de reguliere massamedia, die durfden te stellen dat het Syrische leger op die burgers schoot….. Waar na onderzoek bleek dat de daders onder de ‘gematigde rebellen’ moesten worden gezocht, werd er niet gerectificeerd in die media, men deed er verder het zwijgen toe, of herhaalde ‘doodleuk’ de eerdere leugens………… Terwijl destijds al bekend was dat de terroristen in Oost-Aleppo burgers waarschuwden niet te vluchten, daar men bij aanhouding direct geëxecuteerd zou worden, inclusief mee vluchtende familieleden (waaronder kinderen…). Bij een geslaagde vlucht werd deze mensen beloofd dat achtergebleven familieleden zouden worden vermoord…..
Nu is er al helemaal geen aandacht in de reguliere westerse media voor de sluipschutters van deze ‘rebellen’, die uit Oost-Ghouta vluchtende burgers vermoorden……. Hoe is dat gvd mogelijk? De reguliere media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici schreeuwen moord en brand over het Syrische leger dat volkomen terecht Oost-Ghouta wil zuiveren van psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, nogmaals: figuren die hier eufemistisch ‘gematigde rebellen’ worden genoemd…….
Dit klopt niet helemaal Azijnpisser, nu trekt de VN vluchtelingenorganisatie (UNHCR) aan de bel en (hoe is het mogelijk) de New York Times bracht zowaar dit bericht…. Heb gezocht op het internet, maar kan hier niets over vinden in de reguliere Nederlandse media, terwijl de eerste berichten over sluipschutters die vluchtende burgers uit Oost-Ghouta neerschoten al dateren van de laatste weken in februari (jl.)……….. (eerste melding op 20 februari jl.) Lullig dat de VN vluchtelingenorganisatie bij monde van Sajjad Mailk nog weer met de vingers naar het reguliere Syrische leger moet wijzen, met beschuldigingen die gelijken als die ten tijde van de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo, waar echter nooit enig bewijs voor werd geleverd….. Zo zou het Syrische leger gevluchte burgers dwingen terug te gaan in door rebellen beheerst gebied….. Alsof ze daarvoor de corridors hebben ingesteld…….
Waar de reguliere media ten tijde van de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo ook al niet over berichtten, was het feit dat Syrië en Rusland een paar maanden voor de uiteindelijke bevrijding van dat stadsdeel, besloten te stoppen met bombarderen, om onnodige burgerslachtoffers te voorkomen……
Bij de bevrijding van het Iraakse Mosul en het Syrische Raqqa, ging de VS tot het eind toe door met bombarderen waardoor een enorm aantal burgers omkwam, ondanks herhaalde oproepen van de VN en een paar afzonderlijke landen te stoppen met die bombardementen………
We worden vol gepropt met leugens door de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici, die godbetert het woord ‘fake news’ in de vuilbek durven te nemen…..
Syrian Rebels Using Snipers to Kill Civilians Trying to Flee War-Torn Syrian City
(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — Syrian rebels are sniping down civilians attempting to flee the violence in Eastern Ghouta through a corridor opened up by the Syrian government, according to a U.N. official as reported by the New York Times.
Sajjad Malik, head of the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) from Damascus, returned to Beirut late last week after entering Eastern Ghouta with a relief convoy earlier in the week. Malik noted the dire conditions facing the residents of Eastern Ghouta and highlighted how little choice the people have when it comes to escaping the violence.
According to Malik, the residents also would also have to fear for their safety if they were to flee to government-held territory. The government has been known to make deals to relocate residents to other rebel-held territories if need be, but no such deals have yet been made with the residents of Eastern Ghouta to safely relocate them elsewhere. The residents are therefore unsure of what to expect should they make it safely to areas controlled by the government.
“They want out – either the bombing to stop, or to get out. But reach safety where?” Malik said last Thursday. “We are getting to a point where there is literally no flight option. What worse situation could there be?”
According to the New York Times, Malik’s account “underscored that combatants on both sides are responsible for the horrific situation of civilians in eastern Ghouta.” This admission is noteworthy to say the least considering the mainstream media has painted the current humanitarian issue as one that belongs solely to the Syrian government while giving the Islamist rebels holding Eastern Ghouta a free pass.
Malik documented an incident in which two people had been killed by rebel snipers as a family tried to
escape through a land corridor established by the Syrian government. The area is controlled by Jaish al-Islam, a radical Islamist group openly supported by American allies like Saudi Arabia.
The New York Times alleged that the Syrian government has behaved similarly in an area controlled by another rebel group by delivering an air strike on a family of five as they tried to reach the crossing. Interestingly, the New York Times did not reference Malik as the source of this claim but referred to a known “anti-government activist” in the area known as Ahmed Hamdan. The New YorkTimes also mentioned that some residents said the family had died during “ordinary” airstrikes but not while trying to flee — another inconsistency.
The New York Times also documented protests that erupted on Friday in the town of Kafr Batna, with residents calling on the rebel groups to leave to put an end to the violence. Jaish al-Islam has refused to leave the areas it occupies, which does not bode well for the prospect of winding down the current situation.
“Miserable. Destruction. Disaster. Death. Hunger,” Malik reportedly said before noting that there was a prominent stench in the streets of bodies trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses.
Malik also noted that residents told him that rebels prevented them from leaving the area.
“They said, ‘These guys are preventing us’” while pointing at nearby rebel fighters, Malik stated.
