Kwam op 31 aug jl. een Avaaz Twitterbericht tegen waarin de schrijver pleit voor censuur….. Eerder die dag zag ik al een Twitterbericht van Avaaz waarin men stelde achter oorlogsmisdadiger Joe Biden te staan, echter toen ik dat bericht even later wilde overnemen was het verdwenen van Twitter. Uit het volgende door Avaaz geplaatste Twitterbericht kan je overigens hetzelfde destilleren (let op wat een ‘geweldig succes’ dit Twitterbericht was, te zien onder de laatste foto!!):

In Jemen wordt een genocide uitgevoerd op de sjiitische bevolking door de Saoedische terreurcoalitie, gesteund door de VS, Groot-Brittannië en Frankrijk….. De Houthi rebellen bevechten deze moorddadige coalitie, terwijl de ‘regering van Jemen’ een door de VS en Saoedi-Arabië geparachuteerde junta is die geen legitimatie heeft….. Iran zou volgens de Saoedische terreurcoalitie, de VS en zo ongeveer de rest van het westen de Houthi’s bevoorraden met wapens, maar nooit is daar ook maar een flinter aan bewijs voor geleverd!!! Kortom Avaaz steunt de genocide in Jemen die intussen aan ruim meer dan 500.000 mensen het leven heeft gekost, inclusief meer dan 100.000 kinderen…. De schrijver van het Avaaz pleidooi voor censuur, ene Andrew Legon, stelt dat de sociale media een massavernietigingswapen zijn tegen LGTB mensen, een wapen dat volgens Avaaz onklaar gemaakt moet worden…..
Avaaz probeert zo veel mogelijk zieltjes te winnen die doneren zodat figuren als Legon met een ‘mooi salaris’ naar huis kunnen….. Het is Legon blijkbaar nog niet opgevallen dat je bij de grote platforms op de sociale media kan aankloppen als men haat predikt tegen mensen en mensen bedreigt vanwege hun meningsuiting…..
Censuur op de sociale media is het laatste dat we nodig hebben in een tijd dat de reguliere westerse media elke onafhankelijkheid hebben laten varen en zelf roepen om censuur op de sociale media daar op de platforms van die media wel onafhankelijke journalistiek is te vinden!! Avaaz is een organisatie die overigens al meermaals heeft opgeroepen tot censuur op de soclale media vanwege zogenaamd gebrachte desinformatie en fake news (nepnieuws)…… Terwijl deze organisatie zich verlaat op de reguliere westerse media, die juist zeker de laatste 20 jaar al hebben bewezen enorm veel nepnieuws en desinformatie te hebben gebracht, met de bewijzen kan je een flink archief vullen……
Avaaz heeft zich eerder al totaal belachelijk gemaakt met haar verering van de White Helmets*, een organisatie die hand-en-spandiensten verricht(te) voor terreurgroepen in Syrië, terreurgroepen die zich beschuldigden aan moord, verkrachting, marteling, slavernij, een fiks aantal gifgasaanvallen en ga nog maar even door…..
Uit het volgende Avaaz bericht blijkt ook dat het een onderdeel is van de Thomson Reuters Foundation, een Canadees nieuwsconglomeraat dat zich tevens voordoet als liefdadigheidsorganisatie, die vreemd genoeg haar hoofdkwartier in Londen heeft en dat is vast en zeker om belastingtechnische redenen…… Niet vreemd dus dat deze organisatie bij monde van Avaaz om censuur schreeuwt op de sociale media….. Moet je nagaan: dan durft Avaaz met grote regelmaat commentaar te leveren op dictators, terwijl censuur één van de eerste zaken is die een nieuwe dictator invoert…..
Steun nooit petities van Avaaz, daar deze viespeuken juist achter vele soorten van terreur staan, zoals die van de VS in het Midden-Oosten en die van de hiervoor aangehaalde Saoedische terreurcoalitie in Jemen.
Reken maar dat Avaaz bijvoorbeeld dit bericht graag gecensureerd zou willen zien.

Misinformation and hate are being spread about LGBT+ people on social media

Pride month ended this year with Europe divided.
A rainbow curtain now cuts across the European Union, with Hungary’s
anti-LGBT+ law just the latest sign of an increasingly sharp frontier in
the fight for LGBT+ rights. All eyes are now on Brussels and the
fightback by the European Commission. But they should also be focused on
Silicon Valley – for the fight for LGBT+ rights is being fought and
lost on social media.
Hungary’s new law, which bans depictions of homosexuality in school
educational materials or TV shows for under-18s, is undoubtedly a
political move. Look no further than next year’s election to see the
reason why prime minister Viktor Orbán’s authoritarian government has
suddenly intensified its scapegoating of LGBT+ people. Copycat
legislation is likely in Poland, which is travelling a similar path
towards illiberalism.
That path is paved with anti-LGBT+ misinformation. Just as the
extremists of the 1930s came to power, and wielded it, on the back of
new communication tools such as radio, so too are their modern-day
counterparts. Social media is this century’s far-right enabler.
LGBT+ misinformation is nothing new. But social media has it pumped
full of steroids. Algorithms now push out misinformation about our
communities to millions. Mark Zuckerberg highlighted the problem himself
when he wrote that Facebook had a “basic incentive problem” – “when
left unchecked, people will engage disproportionately with more
sensationalist and provocative content”. The far right knows this. And
they know how to game these algorithms to scapegoat us and weaponise
hate and fear. After all, what could be more provocative than the false
idea that the LGBT+ community is coming for your kids?
We’ve seen time and again how this has worked in practice. Take
Brazil. During the 2018 election**, a proportion of the electorate came to
suddenly support a fringe right-wing extremist for President. How?
Polls clearly show that they came to believe a series of toxic lies
about his opponent spread in large part by social media, including that
he had tried to turn the country’s school children gay.
Domestically, fanning the flames of anti-LGBT+ sentiment helps roll
back rights, win power and then hold it. But internationally too,
anti-gay lies and hatred are deployed to undermine ideas of universal
human rights, build alliances and push back against “Western” influence.
In Georgia – a country on the geopolitical fault line between Russia
and the West – the violent attack on the offices of Tbilisi Pride in
July was preceded by the proliferation of anti-LGBT+ narratives spread
on Georgian far-right Facebook pages. According to research by an
anti-misinformation think-tank, many of the narratives “demonised the
West and liberal democracy, as well as presented the LGBT community as a
threat to Georgia”.
But despite being a frontline target in the war on truth, the LGBT+
movement – arguably one of the most successful in history – seems almost
absent from one of the biggest battles of the 21st century: the fight
for radical reform of Big Tech. And that absence is taking place not
just in the EU but in the US and worldwide. This needs to change, and
quickly.
This means that LGBT+ activists and allies must pay as much attention
to the people who sit in the boardrooms of Silicon Valley as they do to
those sitting on the US Supreme Court or in the governments of
illiberal countries now in the heart of Europe.
It means mobilising marches and people power to influence EU and US
moves to rein in misinformation, just as much as protests and placards
whenever LGBT+ rights are directly under threat.
Social media is a weapon of mass LGBT+ destruction. It’s time our community led the fight to disarm it.
Het is
het Montenegrijnse regering volkomen in de megalomane bol geslagen,
nadat dit land de NAVO binnenhaalde is het nu van zins om een
belangrijk ecosysteem naar de gallemiezen te helpen met militaire
oefeningen, uiteraard in combinatie met één van de grootste
terreurorganisaties op aarde, de NAVO……
Het gaat
hier om Sinjajevina, een gebied dat bekend staat om haar grote
biodiversiteit en dat naast een groot aantal diersoorten wordt
bewoond door mensen die tot 8 verschillende stammen behoren, mensen
die al eeuwen dit wonderlijk mooie gebied met groot succes
beheren……
De NAVO
heeft ook hier weer een heel smerige rol gespeeld, niet alleen door
Montenegro in te lijven bij haar inhumane bloederige
terreurorganisatie en de enorme lobby daarvoor, maar ook met hulp bij het verwerven van het
Sinjajevina ecosysteem als oefengebied voor de luchtmacht……
Naast een enorme uitstoot aan CO2 produceren de straaljagers een grote hoeveelheid kankerverwekkend ultrafijnstof en een hele berg zwaar giftige stoffen die deels zullen neerslaan in dit natuurgebied…..
Het zal je niet bevreemden dat de straaljagers met hun gigantische herrie de wilde diersoorten zullen verdrijven die in dit gebied leven, bovendien zullen de vele schapen die hier worden gehoed daar bijzonder onrustig van worden……
Verder zal men in delen van dit gebeid oefeningen doen met bombardementen en ook daarbij komen grote hoeveelheden giftige stoffen vrij…..

Rights Now & Save Sinjajevina overdrijven m.i. wel enigszins door
te stellen dat dit gebied leidend zou zijn in de strijd tegen de
klimaatverandering, een strijd die al verloren is, immers we kunnen
alleen nog proberen de klimaatverandering enigszins af te remmen,
terwijl de tekenen aangeven dat deze juist jaar op jaar sneller
verloopt en de uitstoot evenredig stijgt…..
Maakt
niet uit, we moeten proberen elk natuurgebied op aarde te beschermen
zeker als je ziet dat natuurgebieden jaar op jaar, ja bijna
gelijklopend met die klimaatverandering, moeten inleveren aan
grootte, hetzij door de klimaatverandering en de weergerelateerde
rampen die dit met zich meebrengt, dan wel door de steeds verder
uitdijende mensheid die natuurgebieden gaat bevolken en zich
toe-eigent …. Om nog maar te zwijgen over het verbranden en kappen
van natuurgebieden t.b.v. diezelfde mensheid, of het nu om het
verbouwen van mais en soja ten dienste van diervoeder gaat of
bijvoorbeeld voor het inrichten van palmolieplantages, waarvan de geproduceerde olie gebruikt
wordt in de levensmiddelenindustrie (terwijl palmolie uitermate slecht is voor de gezondheid…) of diervoer dan wel voor het
aandrijven van auto’s………

Sinjajevina
is a biodiversity hotspot in Montenegro, home
to unique landscapes, animals and people.
Its pastures are used and managed communally by eight different

Government of Montenegro wants to use it as a military training
ground. This will have a tragic, collapsing effect on
Montenegro’s ecosystem and the cultures and traditions of its local
and pastoral communities.
There is no place for CO2 emitting
fighter jets in an unspoilt nature that holds the key
to the world’s climate security!
The
pastoral communities of Sinjajevina are standing up to protect their
mountains, animals and livelihoods. It’s an uneven battle against
the Montenegrin government who established the military training
ground with support of NATO. Sign

are asking to include as a precondition for Montenegro’s EU
membership, the removal of the military training ground in
Sinjajevina – the Balkan’s biggest mountain grassland and vital
ecosystem for Europe.
We urge the EU to call on the Montenegro
government to respect
the wishes of their citizens, preserve nature, and open a
consultation with local communities to create a community protected
area in Sinjajevina.

Niet erg origineel daar meerdere petitiesites en actiegroepen dit al veel eerder hebben bepleit, ‘maar goed….’

zeker geen vriend van Avaaz, deze organisatie (waartoe jij behoort)
is o.a. bezig geweest de illegale westerse oorlogen te verdedigen, ‘illegale oorlogen’ ofwel grootschalige terreur……
Avaaz, een organisatie die de leugens volgt van de ‘gezamenlijke
geheime diensten’ (en legertop) die de VS en andere NAVO-partners
‘rijk zijn’ (dat moeten er minstens 50 zijn!)….
Leugens
die deze geheime diensten de wereld voeren, in het voordeel van henzelf, de
wapenindustrie, andere grote bedrijven (als de fossiele industrie) en
de ijskoude inhumane, neoliberale (westerse) regeringen die allen tezamen met hun
militaire en economische macht de wereld in hun greep houden…….. Geheime
diensten en regeringen die denken overal oorlog te kunnen voeren (en
daar grote winsten mee maken voor de wapenindustrie en de
oliemaffia, maar daarmee tegelijk niet alleen een enorm aantal moorden begaan, maar ook de klimaatverandering en luchtvervuiling verder aanjagen )…..
Zo werd
de opstand in Syrië al in 2006 voorbereid in Washington, met de
bedoeling het bewind van destijds dictator Assad (intussen herkozen
in eerlijk verlopen verkiezingen) te beëindigen, dit puur uit
winstbejag en verzwakking van een bewind dat nog enige kans maakte
tegen de ongebreidelde Israëlische terreur…… Syrië, bovendien een
land dat aan Israël grenst en rijk is aan de ‘bodemschat’ olie,
zaken waarvoor de VS alles doet wat ‘god’ bij wijze van spreken heeft
verboden; vergeet hierbij niet dat de VS Israël jaarlijks volpompt
met geld en de modernste wapens……
Onder
Assad en daar bedoel ik de periode mee voor de bemoeienis van de VS,
leefden alle religies die Syrië kende (en dat waren er
destijds veel) hand in hand en in vriendschap naast elkaar, totdat de CIA ingreep met de organisatie van een ‘opstand’ die niet lukte, waarna de VS en haar NAVO partners de o.a. door hen aangevoerde ‘rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) voorzagen van wapens, munitie, rollend oorlogstuig en schouderraketten, waarop deze terreurgroepen zich tegen het Syrische leger en de bevolking keerden, zeker als deze bevolking niet van het ware geloof was…….
Alles zoals gewoon is als de VS haar terreur uitoefent: gesteund door de reguliere westerse media die
elke illegale oorlog die de VS voert verslaan als rechtvaardig, oorlogen die telkens weer
overduidelijk zijn gebaseerd op leugens, waar die media deze leugens van A tot Z herhalen en als
(onvervalst) eerlijk beoordelen, sterker nog: deze leugens zelfs als ethisch verantwoord
voorstellen….. (en intussen maar zeuren over nepnieuws….)
Over ‘fake news’ gesproken: Avaaz beschuldigde journalisten die wel hun leven waagden in Syrië
van het brengen van fake news (nepnieuws) en andere desinformatie en
roemde terreurgroep White Helmets, terwijl dit een groep is die zich aantoonbaar
schuldig heeft gemaakt aan het steunen van terreur en zelfs van het
uitoefenen van terreur…..
Kan me overigens ook flink ergeren aan een aantal claims van Avaaz voor het behalen van succes, terwijl juist andere petitiesites daar lange tijd voor hebben gevochten. Neem aan dat u dat doet om ‘zieltjes te winen’, dit is niets anders dan het oplichten van mensen die een bepaald doel belangrijk vinden…….

geheel geen tijd voor een vragenlijst van Avaaz, zie mijn blog De

vul Avaaz in op de zoekbalk en ‘veel plezier’.
Oh en
Alice, als ik je één stap mag adviseren is het wel: maak dat je wegkomt
bij deze enge organisatie!!
Avaaz is een wat mij betreft enge groep populistische narcisten, die aan bijna alle internationale, dan wel landelijke acties op milieugebied meedoet, veelal in de vorm van petities zoals die tegen milieuvervuiling, of mensenrechtenschendingen, dan wel over (illegale) oorlogen (illegale oorlogen o.l.v. terreurentiteit VS, die Avaaz als noodzakelijk afschilderde en afschildert, zo meer daarover).
Als deze petities succes hebben en een bepaalde zaak wordt afgeblazen doet Avaaz of dit aan haar actie is te danken…… Echter zoals al even gezegd, er zitten meer stinkende kanten aan Avaaz, zoals tijdens het hoogtepunt van de oorlog in Syrië en Avaaz gewoon herkauwde wat de reguliere westerse media en politiek hen aan anti-Assad propaganda voorschotelden….. Dus geen protest tegen het feit dat de VS de ‘opstand’ heeft voorbereid, die tot afzetting van Assad moest leiden, de plannen daarvoor dateren al uit 2006, zelfs de scherpschutters die op demonstranten schoten, waren door de VS gecontracteerde huurmoordenaars van buiten Syrië….. De leider van de ‘opstand’ kwam overigens ook van buiten Syrië…..
Geen protest van Avaaz toen meermaals bleek dat ‘door Assad uitgevoerde’ gifgasaanvallen of niet bestonden dan wel werden uitgevoerd door de zogenaamde rebellen groepen*, je weet wel groepen die Nederland ook steunde met ons belastinggeld (‘da’s lief hè?’), maar die achteraf psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters, martelbeulen en dieven bleken te zijn…….. (waaronder terreurgroepen IS [=ISIS] en Al Qaida) Figuren die voor het overgrote deel ook uit het buitenland werden aangevoerd door o.a. de VS en Egypte…. deze groepen werden uit het door de NAVO kapot gebombardeerde Libië vervoerd naar Irak en daar met wapens en rollend oorlogstuig over de grens met Syrië begeleid door militairen van de VS en ‘terreurmakkers’ die al in Irak aanwezig waren……
Het voorgaande gebeurde overigens pas nadat de opstand in Syrië mislukte en men in het Pentagon en Brussel (NAVO hoofdkwartier) concludeerde dat Assad niet was weg te werken met een ‘opstand…..’ Door het eerder gemelde vervoer van terreurgroepen naar Syrië was de oorlog in Syrië een feit, een oorlog die de VS wilde uitlokken als laatste middel om Assad weg te krijgen, waarbij gebruik werd gemaakt van false flag operaties…..* Operaties die de zogenaamde rebellen uitvoerden: massamoorden, aanvallen op ziekenhuizen en medische posten, het doodschieten van mensen die gebruik maakten van vluchtcorridors, plus de al genoemde gifgasaanvallen, al deze zaken werden in de schoenen van het reguliere Syrische leger en daarmee van Assad geschoven…… Bedoeling: verontwaardiging in het westen kweken, wat moest leiden tot ingrijpen van dat westen en dat lukte ‘wonderwel goed….’ (bombardementen en raketaanvallen op posities van het Syrische leger, dan wel op vliegvelden, veelal uitgevoerd door….. de VS!)
Maar nee, bij de waarheid heeft Avaaz geen belang, daar dit niet strookt met het bij de westerse volkeren bestaande, gehersenspoelde beeld van een heel andere kijk op de zaak, zoals die door de westerse media en politiek was gewenst en werd gepropageerd……. Alsof niemand wist dat de VS deze eeuw al 4 keer een illegale oorlog is begonnen, die intussen aan ruim meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen het leven heeft gekost en dat is nog maar het puntje van de ijsberg als het om VS terreur gaat….. (illegale oorlogen: dus zonder goedkeuring van de VN…..)…..
Nee Avaaz wil zoveel mogelijk mensen trekken en hen wijs maken dat ze uiterst succesvol zijn….. Benieuwd wat de directeuren van Avaaz verdienen en waar de inkomsten zoal vandaan komen….
Terug naar het begin: Avaaz begon afgelopen vrijdag met een petitie en het leek verdomd wel alsof de baas van de VN, Antonio Guterres, Avaaz gebruikte om de wereld te smeken nu tenminste de wapens neer te leggen, dit vanwege de Coronacrisis….**
Uiteraard zal Guterres dit nooit doen, maar we zijn er nog niet beste bezoeker: gisteren in m’n mail de naam Antonio Guterres met als onderwerp: “I am calling for an immediate global ceasefire in all corners of the world” en daaronder de ‘link’: ‘UN Secretary General António Guterres to Avaaz members’ echter als je de aanwijzer op die tekst ‘legt’ krijg je het volgende adres te zien:

Wat een stel oplichters!!
Heb me dan ook voorgenomen niet nog eens een petitie van deze volksverlakkers te tekenen, mocht jij willen tekenen klik dan op de link bij **, daar teken je de petitie die World Beyond War overnam van The Action Network). En teken ajb mensen, oorlog en een besmettelijke ziekte vormen een uiterst dodelijke combinatie…. (en geeft het door!) Overigens elke oorlog is al een vreselijke verschrikking, om niet te zeggen de hel op aarde, waar de gewone mens altijd weer wordt geslachtofferd!

Beste bezoeker dit was het voor vandaag, morgen meer berichten. Maak er zo mogelijk een mooie dag van (zonder ruzie) en let op als je de straat opgaat, de politie verveelt zich en voor je het weet ‘krijg’ je een bon…. (zag vorige week hoe de politie een gekleurde man bij zijn fiets vandaan haalde, de fiets die hij net op slot wilde zetten, de man moest zeggen waar hij de fiets had gekocht, waar het niet eens om een dure fiets ging, teleurgesteld dropen de twee agenten af toen ze hem niet konden pakken op diefstal…..)
Ja,
maffe kop boven dit bericht, echter daar komt het wel op neer. Avaaz is een
organisatie die al vele keren successen heeft geclaimd voor acties
die anderen middels petities voor elkaar kregen. Ach ja, een
beproefde methode: je roeptoetert 20 keer dat je succes hebt met een
bepaalde petitie en het grootste deel van het publiek gelooft je, zeg

aangebonden, je kan eerst dat bericht lezen*, of lees het nadat je de onzin van Avaaz hieronder hebt gelezen….
Mensen
geeft het door Avaaz is een volkomen onbetrouwbaar medium dat graag
ophitst tot oorlog en ondanks de kritiek op Trump ,vooral de VS
doctrine uitdraagt, de doctrine dat de VS belangen heeft die
wereldwijd liggen en zich het recht voorbehoud om massamoorden aan te
richten als daarmee de belangen van de VS (lees de winning van
grondstoffen) worden gediend….. Avaaz de grote promotors van het Al
Qaida onderdeel White Helmets…..
Avaaz dat de VS terreur en die van de zogenaamde gematigde oppositie (lees terreurgroepen) steunt, terreur tegen het

When
disinformation is used to fuel a genocide
Hateful
lies about the Rohingya minority in Myanmar went viral online. Fake
claims of things like cannibalism (like above) were used by the
military and anti-muslim groups to justify ethnic cleansing.
Thousands of Rohingya families were slaughtered, women brutally
raped, and homes torched to the ground, leading UN officials to
declare a genocide.
When
fake news is used to attack entire groups, like migrants
Almost
10 million people saw this video of migrants destroying a police
car. The problem? It’s also entirely fake — it’s actually from a
movie, and was debunked years ago! That didn’t stop far-right groups
in Italy and across Europe from sharing it again, even just a few
weeks ago — and Facebook did nothing while it went viral, inflaming
suspicion, hostility, and even hatred of immigrant people.

France, people shared a letter by French actor Gérard Lanvin over
251,000 times, criticising President Macron and his government! The
only problem? It was completely fake, with the actor himself
claiming he had been a victim of identity theft. It’s a clear
example of how disinformation is used to sow distrust of the
government — and why it’s such a major threat to democracy.

Wat betreft het onderwijs: jongens en meisjes mochten op kosten van de staat studeren in het buitenland, waar ook nog eens de huur en andere verblijfskosten werden betaald door de Libische staat……
Met behulp van Avaaz is Libië verworden tot zo ongeveer het armste land van Afrika, het ontbreekt de bevolking aan van alles en meisjes mogen niet meer naar school, laat staan studeren…… Tienduizenden Libiërs verloren het leven, niet alleen vanwege de NAVO bombardementen (Nederlandse F16s werden gebruikt om doelen aan te wijzen), maar ook door etnische zuiveringen….. Er worden nu zelfs openbare slavenmarkten gehouden in Libië, en de oorlog is nog steeds gaande…… Nogmaals: met dank aan Avaaz…..
De Avaaz topgraaiers hebben er voorts geen probleem mee om op de foto te gaan met oorlogsmisdadigers als Petraeus…..

The
organization Avaaz was instrumentalin
building public approval for the No Fly Zone for the illegal invasion
of Libya in 2011. The NATO-led destabilization/illegal war in Libya
resulted in the annihilation of a formerly sovereign country that has
since descended into brutal chaos. Tens upon thousands of Libyans
died and the most savage ethnic cleansing that the mind can imagine
has been widespread. The destruction of Libya has been nothing less
than a full-scale bloodbath.

When
Avaaz rolled out the same rinse, lather and repeat campaign for the
seizing of Syria, the public did not fall prey as easily. The

the Avaaz campaigns pressing for a no-fly zone (air strikes) over

of chemical weapons to incite fear and hatred toward the Assad
government. It does not take much stretch of the imagination to
consider Avaaz had inside knowledge of the upcoming chemical attack
that would take place in outer Damascus approximately 10 weeks later.
Considering Avaaz co-founder Tom Perriello’s connection to the
Obama administration and its well known war criminals, it is entirely
plausible that Avaaz was churning out propaganda that would lead up
to and sensationalize a false
flag attack.

the Eve of an Illegal Attack on Syria, Avaaz/350.org Board Members
Beat the Drums of War” documents Avaaz links imploring a
no-fly zone on Syria – both public links have since been removed.
The article also
featured 350.org board member Van Jones calling for air strikes on
Syria. (Adding twisted irony, Van Jones also serves as co-founder and
executive director of the Ella
Baker Center for Human Rights.
The co-opting of deceased civil rights revolutionaries to advance the
goals of hegemony has become common practice within these
foundation-financed projects.)

The email from Patel represented a last-ditch effort to garner
support for a no-fly zone as the US prepared to launch an attack on
Syria.
One
year earlier, in 2012 Avaaz was allegedly sponsoring
fabricated videos of
civilian massacres, to back deeper foreign intervention in Syria.
Fact-checking and videos appear to collaborate these
claims.
Jump
forward to 2014.
In
the September 8, 2014 article Pentagon
Planning Points to Possible Anti-Syria US Military Campaign,
author Stephen Gowans observes:
“Now,
it appears that Washington is on the cusp of pressing ahead with its
planned campaign of military action. The New York Times has reported
that ‘Pentagon planners envision a military campaign’ to destroy
ISIS ‘in its sanctuary inside Syria’ that could last ‘at least
36 months.’ According to The Wall Street Journal, airstrikes would
support anti-Assad fighters unaligned with ISIS, who would be
bankrolled by $500 million in US funding, and backed by a global
coalition, including the UK and Australia, that would ‘provide a
range of assistance, including humanitarian aid and weapons.’ These
countries could also join the United States in an air-war over
Syria.”
It
should not be considered a coincidence that at the same time, a
polished, sophisticated and highly financed “Save Syria” campaign
is being created in the board rooms of the Empire’s favourite
Harvard boys.
Where,
under the organization Avaaz, the public hasn’t acquiesced to an
air strike on Syria, the New York public relations firm Purpose
Inc. has stepped in.
Purpose
is a for-profit enterprise that is marketed to appear like a
non-profit. Their area of expertise is behavioural change.

This is cross-subsidised by its for-profit arm, which makes money in
a variety of ways. It sells consulting services to big companies such
as Google and Audi, and to charities such as the Bill & Melinda

their expertise behind the scenes to further the interest of hegemony
and capital. Whether it be a glossy campaign to
help facilitate yet another illegal “humanitarian intervention”
led by aggressive U.S. militarism (an oxymoron if there ever was
one), or the creation of a new global “green” economy, Purpose is
the consulting firm that the wolves of Wall Street and oligarchs
alike depend upon to make it happen.
Make
no mistake, the Yale (for example, Avaaz co-founder and former U.S.

Bezerra. From 2006 to 2011 Bezerra held an integral position within
the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) executive leadership. As Clinton
Global Initiative director of commitments, Bezerra led the redesign
of member engagement and commitments services into a
year-round operation. From 2007 to 2008, Bezerra held the
position of sponsorship manager of the Clinton Global Initiative
where she directly managed five major sponsorship accounts, including
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Procter & Gamble, valued at
over $2 million dollars. From 2006 to 2008, Bezerra held the position

One
should note that in the case of many NGOs, on 990 tax forms it
appears as though those at the helm are paid minimally, if at all.
Rather than salaries, many founders of institutions make immense fees
via consulting services where their names are not identified on 990
forms. In the case of Avaaz, co-founder Ricken Patel does take a
salary (approx. $190,000.00 per year) plus consulting fees.
Consulting fees must be considered the bread and butter of many
“progressives” whose incomes rival CEOs of multinational
corporations. The salaries and incomes are incredible when one
accounts for the fact that many NGOs, such as Avaaz, rake in millions
of dollars in donations from well-intentioned and hard-working
citizens who are at or below the poverty line.

Inc. (with its co-founders) is a favourite of high-finance websites
such as The Economist and Forbes and sells its consulting services
and branding/marketing campaigns to Google, Audi, the American Civil
Liberties Union (ACLU), The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and
many others that comprise the world’s most powerful corporations
and institutions. In 2012, it raised $3m from investors. “Ford
Foundation, which has given Purpose’s non-profit arm a grant,
reckons it is shaping up to be “one of the blue-chip social

On the main page of this website the behavioural change strategists
at Purpose promote a slick, emotive video of a white child (in
America) slowly becoming traumatized by the violence in Syria. No
doubt, Purpose’s marketing executives have taken this avenue
because they know that the majority of Euro-Americans with privilege
simply are not moved by images of suffering children that are
non-Caucasian. Non-White children being slaughtered by imperial
states became normalized for most Euro-American citizens long ago.

if we could reverse the explosion of a bomb? A group of 130
organizations from around the world,
known collectively as the ‘With Syria’ campaign, released a video
Wednesday that shows just what that would look like. The campaign
hopes to bring attention to the violence in Syria. (video) Warning:
Contains disturbing imagery. In the video, the act of a bomb
exploding near children playing is reversed: The blood returns to
their heads, the children stand back up, run in reverse and continue
the game they were playing. A message says, ‘We can’t reverse
what’s happened in Syria, but we can change how the story ends.’”
Indeed
Purpose is being paid to bring about the ending that the elites have
hired them to ensure.

include Amnesty International, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights

Such
emotionally charged campaigns are critical tools for empire. They
have become critical (and successful) in building the acquiescence
required for “humanitarian
interventions”
(aka regime change with extensive “collateral damage” thrown in
for good measure).

US
Military Utilize NGOs to Induce Pacification & Advance Western
Ideologies on Iraqi Citizens
The
video below captures highlights from the 2004 Princeton Colloquium on
Public and International Affairs and should that be at the Woodrow
Wilson School of Public and International Affairs – The Role of
NGOs in Global Governance and Society. Attention to the title is key:
“NON-governmental
organizations in global GOVERNANCE.”
[Note the use of the term “guerrilla” (4:13)
in describing any citizen/person resisting the occupation/assault by
US military on Iraq soil.] Since the filming of this video,
accelerating regime change operations are being conducted by Western
militaries, hand in hand with Western NGOs throughout the globe.

In essence, NGOs have become an indispensable instrument of
destabilization and regime change for imperial states and hegemonic
interests. NGOs also serve as the primary agents to implant
neoliberal policies and western ideologies in targeted states to
advance and protect the interests of the NGOs’ funders.

the Iraqis are most grateful. It must be noted that Eli Pariser, too,
is a co-founder of Avaaz and Co-Founder and Executive Director of
MoveOn.org (Avaaz founder) PAC.

absurd photo of
Syrians holding up a poster that features a “thumbs up”
illustration for USA and the UN.
Exploiting
the death of Syrian children to provoke air strikes and military
aggression demonstrates that such agencies go to any extreme to
further American foreign policy. Note that the very carnage described
above: “killing
over a thousand, many of them children” is
par for the course for the U.S. military, which carries out such
atrocities on innocent civilians, including children, on a daily
basis, all over the world. But don’t expect an Avaaz or Purpose
campaign against the Obama Regime any time soon. They will be too
busy under the guise of their NGO MoveOn, working on his re-election.
The
following quote represents the real purpose of Purpose:

released, giving evidence to claims of Turkish government support for
Nusra. Sotloff was puzzled why the mainstream media was not giving
this event coverage.”

Within the lecture, Snow discusses the psyops/propaganda
strategically orchestrated behind the “Save Darfur”
campaigns/movements which, in 2004, began to saturate the populace.

the sets. They bring the stories to life, strategically exploit and
manipulate our emotions, ultimately ensuring we come to accept and
partake in their politically acceptable means of discourse –

above quote is representative of perhaps one too many spin doctors,

Consider
that the colour of the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya (from
1977 to 2011; The Great
Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)
was pure green in colour. Unlike the one featured in the Avaaz
campaign. The green colour traditionally symbolizes Islam. In Libya,
green was also a colour traditionally used to represent
the Tripolitania region
(commonly referred to as Tripoli) that NATO forces fought to seize.
The iconic green flag was chosen by Libyan leader/brother Muammar
Gaddafi to symbolize his political philosophy (after his
revolutionary Green
Book).
On 10 March 2011, France was the first state to recognize the council
as the official government of Libya, as well as the first to allow
the Libyan embassy staff to raise the red, black, green and white
flag that would replace the green flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya. On
21 March, the “new” flag was flown by the Permanent Mission of
Libya to the United Nations and appeared on their official website …
this flag, which reigned prior to the Libyan Jamahiriya, is now the
only flag used by the United Nations to represent Libya. According to
the following UN statement: “Following the adoption by the General
Assembly of resolution 66/1, the Permanent Mission of Libya to the
United Nations formally notified the United Nations of a Declaration
by the National Transitional Council of 3 August 2011 changing the
official name of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to “Libya” as well as
a decision to change Libya’s national flag to the original.”

On
August 24, 2011 it is reported by
yet another mouthpiece for empire that:
“As
Libyan rebels take over, embassies worldwide have been replacing the
old Libyan flag with a new one…. But
starting in February, a new flag – red, black, and green with a
white star and crescent in the center – has been hoisted at Libyan
embassies around the world, from
Switzerland to Bangladesh.
It is the same flag being flown by the jubilant rebels themselves as
they descend on Tripoli.”
In
the article, the words “U.S. funded mercenaries” have been
replaced with “the jubilant rebels.” It would be well worth
investigating who ordered, manufactured and paid for thousands of
these new flags (prior to or commencing in February of 2011) and
ensured they would replace the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya
that flourished from 1977 to 2011.

Who
Was Secretly Behind America’s Invading and Occupying Syria?
The
invasion and occupation of Syria by tens of thousands of jihadists
who were recruited from around the world to overthrow Syria’s
President Bashar al-Assad, was financed mainly by US taxpayers and by
the world’s wealthiest family, the Sauds, who own Saudi Arabia and
the world’s largest oil company, Aramco. America’s international
oil companies and major think
tanks and ‘charitable’
foundations were
also supportive and providing propaganda for the operation, but the
main financing for it came from America’s taxpayers, and from the
Saud family and from the Government that they own.
One
of the best articles that the New York Times ever published
was by Mark Mazzetti and Matt Apuzzo, on 23 January 2016, “US
Relies Heavily on Saudi Money to Support Syrian Rebels”.
They reported that, “the
C.I.A. and its Saudi counterpart have maintained an unusual
arrangement for the rebel-training mission, which the Americans have
code-named Timber Sycamore. Under the deal, current and former
administration officials said, the Saudis contribute both weapons and
large sums of money, and the C.I.A takes the lead in training the
rebels. … From the moment the C.I.A. operation was started, Saudi
money supported it.” Furthermore,
“The White House has embraced the covert financing
from Saudi Arabia — and from Qatar, Jordan and
Turkey.” But “American officials said Saudi Arabia was
by far the largest contributor to the operation.” The invasion and
occupation of Syria by jihadists from around the world was primarily
a Saud operation, though it was managed mainly by the US Government.
Prior
to the failed US-backed coup-attempt on 15 July 2015 to replace
Tayyip Erdogan as Turkey’s President, Turkey was part of the
U.S-Saudi alliance to overthrow and replace Syria’s Government. But
afterwards, Turkey increasingly switched against the US and Sauds,
and toward instead supporting the target of the Sauds and of
America’s aristocrats: Syria. And, so, Turkey has increasingly joined
Syria’s alliance, which includes Iran and Russia. That’s one of the
major geopolitical changes in recent decades.
The NYT continued: “The
Saudi efforts were led by the flamboyant Prince Bandar bin Sultan, at
the time the intelligence chief, who directed Saudi spies to buy
thousands of AK-47s and millions of rounds of ammunition in Eastern
Europe for the Syrian rebels. The C.I.A. helped arrange some of the
arms purchases for the Saudis, including a large deal in Croatia in
2012.”
The
US preferred to be supplying the jihadists weapons that weren’t
from US manufacturers, in order to impede any tracing back to the
United States the arming of the movement to oust and replace Syria’s
secular, committedly non-sectarian, Government. The Sauds — who are
just as committedly sectarian, and are even supporters of the extreme
fundamentalist Wahhabist sect of Sunni Islam — likewise tried to
cover their tracks in this operation, but their tracks were
financial. The Sauds have been especially skillful at covering their
tracks. Prince Bandar bin Sultan al-Saud was a buddy of George W.
Bush, and had secretly donated over a million dollars in cash to Al
Qaeda prior to the 9/11 attacks, according
to Osama bin Laden’s financial bagman,
who had picked up personally each one of the million-dollar-cash
donations to that organization until 9/11 and who named amongst those
donors not only Prince Bandar but also Prince Salman al-Saud, who
subsequently became King Salman, who is now the father of Crown
Prince Salman, who recently murdered the columnist Jamal
Khashoggi. “In
late 2012, according to two former senior American officials, David
H. Petraeus, then the C.I.A. director, delivered a stern lecture to
intelligence officials of several gulf nations at a meeting near the
Dead Sea in Jordan. He chastised them for sending arms into Syria
without coordinating with one another or with C.I.A. officers in
Jordan and Turkey. Months later, Mr. Obama gave his approval for the
C.I.A. to begin directly arming and training the rebels from a base
in Jordan, amending the Timber Sycamore program to allow lethal
assistance. Under the new arrangement, the C.I.A. took the lead in
training, while Saudi Arabia’s intelligence agency, the
General Intelligence Directorate, provided money and weapons,
including TOW anti-tank missiles,”
Crown Prince Salman is also a close friend of America’s current
‘prince’, Jared Kushner, the US President’s son-in-law. So, the
Saud family are very close with America’s Republican aristocrats,
perhaps even closer than they are with America’s Democratic
aristocrats. But especially because of the business links, the Sauds
are deeply influential throughout America’s aristocracy. Not only
is Saudi Arabia the world’s most oil-rich country, but
it is also the world’s largest purchaser of weapons from Lockheed
Martin and the other American ‘defense’ contractors, which sell
exclusively to the US Government and to the governments that are
allied with it (such as to Saudi Arabia). So, those
corporations depend upon the Sauds more than upon any other family,
even than any single American family.
The
Saud family are also crucial
allies with Israel’s aristocracy,
who include such American billionaires as the Republican Sheldon
Adelson and the Democrat Lesley Wexner.
The NYT article

These
authors were, however, misguided when they wrote that “While
the intelligence alliance is central to the Syria fight and has been
important in the war against Al Qaeda, a constant irritant in
American-Saudi relations is just how much Saudi citizens continue to
support terrorist groups, analysts said.” That
“support” to jihadists, to the extent that it was financial, came
actually not from “Saudi citizens,” but from the Saudi
aristocracy, mainly from the Saud family itself. Moreover, in a
monarchy — which Saudi Arabia is — there are no
actual “citizens”; there are only the monarch and his or her
“subjects” not “citizens” (citizens such as exist in a
democracy — even it’s only a so-called one). There are only the
monarch and his/her subjects — especially in an absolute monarchy,
such as Saudi Arabia. So: that term “citizens” was a
false and misleading term in that context.
On
6 March 2013, Britain’s Guardian bannered regarding
General Petraeus “From
El Salvador to Iraq: Washington’s man behind brutal police
squads” and
reported his having created the death squads in El Salvador and
designed the post-Saddam Iraqi torture program for trying to extract
from detainees (though the Guardianfailed to note this) whatever
information they might have about Saddam Hussein’s role in the 9/11
attacks. Nothing was mentioned in the Guardian, about 9/11, but
only that “The aim: to halt a nascent Sunni insurgency in its
tracks by extracting information from detainees” — but nothing
was said there about what type of “information” was
being sought, or why. “With Petraeus’s almost unlimited access to
money and weapons, and Steele’s field expertise in
counterinsurgency, the stage was set for the commandos to emerge as a
terrifying force.” But force for what? The Guardian offered
nothing on that.
Thierry
Meyssan at Voltairenet, on 9 May 2011, headlined “What
you don’t know about the Bilderberg-Group” and
he wrote: “The
operation was controlled in reality by William J. Donovan, the former
commander of the OSS (the US intelligence service during the war),
now in charge of building the American branch of the new secret
service of NATO, Gladio [2]. … Moreover, the security of each
subsequent meeting was not provided by the police of the host
country, but by the soldiers of the NATO Alliance.” Meyssan
said that “Henry
Kissinger is the main person responsible for invitations to the
Bilderberg Group.” Another
of the “core group” was “Henry
R. Kravis: US financier, investment fund manager KKR. He’s a major
fundraiser for the Republican Party.” Meyssan
called this “The
Lobby of the most powerful military organization in the
world [NATO].” Furthermore:
During
the last US presidential elections, it was reported that Barack Obama
and Hillary Clinton disappeared on June 6, 2008, in order to
negotiate an end to their rivalry. In reality, they participated in
the annual conference of the Bilderberg Group in Chantilly, Virginia
(USA). The following day, Mrs. Clinton announced that she was
retiring from the race. …
According
to our sources, something else happened. Barack Obama and Hillary
Clinton concluded a financial and political agreement. Senator Obama
bailed out his rival financially and offered her a position in his
administration (Clinton refused the vice-presidency and instead chose
the State Department) in exchange for her active support during the
campaign against McCain. Then, the two leaders were presented by
James A. Johnson to the Bilderberg Conference, where they assured the
participants that they would work together. [Hillary had a solid
record and reputation as a neoconservative and as a supporter of
overthrowing Syria’s Government.] Barack Obama had already
been NATO’s candidate for a long time. [But
his campaign rhetoric had nonetheless caused worries amongst the
Establishment.] Mr.
Obama and his family have always worked for the CIA and the Pentagon.

Moreover, the initial funds for his campaign were provided by the
Crown of England, via a businessman named Nadhmi Auchi. [See,
e.g.: this and this and this and this.] In
presenting the Black Senator to the Bilderbergers, the Atlantic
Alliance was, in fact, organizing public relations at the
international level for the future president of the United States.
Of
course, that was even before Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
On
11 December 2018, Meyssan headlined “Whom
does Emmanuel Macron owe?” and
he wrote that, “he owes his electoral campaign mostly to Henry
Kravis, the boss of one of the world’s largest financial companies,
and to NATO – a considerable debt which weighs heavily today on the
solution to the Yellow Vests crisis.” Macron had first met “Henry
and Marie-Josée Kravis, in their residence on Park Avenue in New
York [1]. (This meeting probably took place in 2007. Thereafter,
Emmanuel Macron systematically visited the Kravis couple whenever he
was in the USA, and Henry Kravis welcomed him in his offices on
Avenue Montaigne when he visited Paris.) The Kravis couple, unfailing
supporters of the US Republican Party, are among the great world
fortunes who play politics out of sight of the Press.” Furthermore:
In
December 2014, Henry Kravis created his own Intelligence agency, the
KKR Global Institute. He nominated at its head the ex-Director of the
CIA, General David Petraeus. With the Kravis couple’s private funds
(the KKR investment funds), and without referring to Congress,
Petraeus pursued operation «Timber Sycamore» which had been
initiated by President Barack Obama. This was the largest weapons
traffic in History, implicating at least 17 states and representing
many thousands of tons of weapons worth several billion dollars [7].
As such, Kravis and Petraeus became the main suppliers for Daesh [8].
There
exist no photographs of the meeting of the Bilderberg Group, whose
work is confidential. Security for the meeting is not handled by the
FBI, nor the Virginia police force, but by a private militia
organised by NATO.
The
Bilderberg Group was created in 1954 by the CIA and MI6 in order to
support the Atlantic Alliance. …
The
2017 meeting is also described there: Among the Board of Directors,
mostly international corporate luminaries, was “Marie-Josée
Drouin-Kravis: Economic columnist in print and broadcast media in
Canada. Researcher at the very militaristic Hudson Institute. She is
the third wife of Henry Kravis.”
Both
Petraeus and his two KKR sponsors are regular attendees at the
Bilderberg meetings. What financial stake — if any — in assisting
the Sauds to take over Syria, KKR has, is not known. But if there is
such, then the US Government’s recent decision to quit its military
occupation of Syria will presumably be, to that extent, unfavorable
for KKR, and unpopular amongst the 150 companies in which it holds
stock.
The
great investigative journalists Dilyana
Geytandzhieva, Andrey
Fomin, Manlio
Dinucci,
Thierry Meysan, and the South
Front site,
have, in several articles, documented that the Governments of US,
UAE, Qatar, and mainly Saudi Arabia, are financing and
overseeing a multibillion-dollar privately operated weapons-smuggling
operation to Sunni jihadist groups such as Al Qaeda in Africa, the
Middle East, Pakistan, and Asia. Meyssan
writes:
In
less than three years, Silk Way Airlines transported at least one
billion dollars’ worth of armament.
One
thing leading to another, journalist Dilyana Gaytandzhieva uncovered
a vast system which also supplied the jihadists not only in Iraq and
Syria, but also in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Congo – also paid for
by the Saudis and the Emiratis. Some of the arms delivered in Arabia
were redirected to South Africa.
The
arms transported to Afghanistan were delivered to the Talibans, under
the control of the US, which is pretending to fight them. …
Although,
according to the international treaties, neither civil nor diplomatic
flights are authorised to carry military material, requests for
recognition as «diplomatic flights» require the explicit detailing
of the cargo transported. However, at the request of the US State
Department, at least Afghanistan, Germany, Saudi Arabia,
Bulgaria, Congo, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Israël,
Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic,
Turkey and United Kingdom closed their eyes to this
violation of international law, just as they had ignored the CIA
flights to and from their secret prisons. …
According
to Sibel Edmonds – ex-FBI agent and founder of the National
Security Whistleblowers Coalition – Azerbaïdjan, under President
Heydar Aliyev, from 1997 to 2001 hosted in Bakou the number 2 of
Al-Qaïda, Ayman el-Zawahiri. This was done at the request of the
CIA. Although officially wanted by the FBI, the man who was then the
number 2 of the international jihadist network travelled regularly in
NATO planes to Afghanistan, Albania, Egypt and Turkey. He also
received frequent visits from Prince Bandar ben Sultan
of Saudi Arabia [11].
International
relations are controlled by international corporations, but the
identities of the persons who control those are often hidden; so,
it’s not easy to say whom has been enriched by the invasion and
occupation of Syria. And, probably, there won’t be funding for
investigative journalists to do the costly research to find out whom
those persons actually are. But they controlled both Obama and Trump,
both of whom carried out their policy on Syria.

hypocrisie van media als de New York Times (NYT) kent geen grenzen

fake news (nepnieuws) en andere leugens te verspreiden via Facebooks WhatsApp…. Vreemd
genoeg hebben deze media nooit moeite gehad met het uiterst
gewelddadige neokoloniale gedrag van de VS in Latijns-Amerika, waar
men nu moord en brand roept en eist dat Zuckerberg een filter inbouwt
op nieuws gebracht via WhatsApp…..
Het
interesseert de reguliere (massa-) media geen bal dat Bolsonaro de verkiezingen won, Bolsonaro, de fascist die

middels de verkiezingen in Brazilië willen deze media nog meer

Avaaz is
een actiegroep die zich meermaals heeft getoond als een lobbyorgaan
voor VS/NAVO terreur in Syrië en de economische oorlog van de VS tegen Venezuela, nu roept dus ook Avaaz op tot
censuur (wat deze groep al eerder heeft gedaan…)….
Het gaat er wat betreft verkiezingen in feite niet om fake news tegen te gaan, er moet eindelijk internationale wetgeving
worden gemaakt, waarbij het uiterst welgestelde figuren en (grote)
bedrijven wordt verboden geld te steken in verkiezingen, uiteraard met
een straf die in verhouding staat tot het vermogen, dit daar een boete van een paar
miljoen voor een miljardair, of een groot bedrijf, totaal geen
probleem is….. Ofwel: de boete dient zo hoog te zijn, dat men nog
amper geld overhoudt……. Kan het volk in de VS eindelijk meedoen
aan echte democratische verkiezingen!!
Beste

Avaaz kan beter een petitie maken tegen de
enorme bedragen die door grote bedrijven en welgestelde individuen
aan verkiezingen worden besteed en waarmee verkiezingen wel worden
gekocht en waarmee het volk daadwerkelijk wordt gemanipuleerd, neem de VS…..
Onbegrijpelijk ook dat men zich druk maakt
om Russiagate, één grote leugen* waar nog geen flinter aan bewijs voor werd geleverd, maar het tegelijkertijd wel normaal vindt dat grote
bedrijven en miljardairs de verkiezingen kunnen manipuleren met
enorme bedragen (veelal aftrekbaar van de belastingen), waarmee ze godbetert ook nog eens de eigen belangen
behartigen, voor de periode na de verkiezingen, althans als de door hun zwaar gesubsidieerde (ofwel omgekochte) kandidaat wint……. Vandaar ook dat grote bedrijven veelal zowel de republikeinse als de ‘democratische kandidaat’ steunen……

extremist, racist, and malicious content.

In het BBC World Service nieuws van 12.30 u. (CET) vandaag, het bericht dat Esmond Bradley Martin, een anti-ivoorhandel activist is vermoord in Kenia…… Eerder werkte Martin voor de VN, waar hij zich ook met de bestrijding van de ivoorhandel bezig hield.
Esmond Bradley Martin documenteerde de (illegale) handel in ivoor, o.a. door het bezoeken van zwarte markten waar ivoor werd verhandeld in landen als Laos, China en Vietnam, waar hij onder meer in het geheim foto’s maakte en prijzen van ivoor vastlegde.
Mede door het werk van Esmond Bradley Martin heeft China de import van ivoor verboden. (onlangs had Avaaz alweer het gore lef te stellen dat dit succes, het verbod op ivoorimport in China, hoofdzakelijk te danken is aan het werk van haar organisatie……. Avaaz doet dit keer op keer als een zaak wordt verboden, waar zij als één van de vele organisaties een petitie tegen voerden……. Ach ja het is dan ook lucratief een dergelijke organisatie op te zetten, althans voor de top van die organisaties……..)
Esmond Bradley Martin is schandalig genoeg bepaald niet de eerste activist die tegen de ivoorhandel werkte en werd vermoord…….. De politie in Kenia houdt het op een ordinaire roofoverval, echter als je ziet hoeveel mensen er al zijn vermoord, die zich verzetten tegen deze barbaarse handel, rijst de vraag of de Keniaanse politie gelijk heeft met haar constatering…… ( de vraag stellen is haar beantwoorden)

Ben geen fan van Avaaz, dat zich keer op keer in de luren laat leggen door de leugens uit het Pentagon, of het hoofdkwartier van terreurorganisatie NAVO en van terreurorganisaties als de White Helmets, plus terreurlobby organisatie SOHR, echter dit initiatief is te belangrijk, dus doe a.u.b. mee en geeft het door!
Trouwens weer een staaltje bluf van deze organisatie in haar onderstaande tekst, waar die organisatie durft te stellen, dat zij het voor elkaar hebben gekregen dat de verlenging van de vergunning voor glyfosaat niet voor 15 jaar, maar voor 10 jaar werd verleend…… Een grove leugen!! Maar zoals gezegd, deze zaak is te belangrijk om voor dat feit te laten schieten.
EU:
verbied Monsanto’s gif!
Na
een eerste evaluatie door de Europese Unie heeft glyfosaat voorlopig
groen licht gekregen. Maar
een officieel burgerinitiatief kan ervoor zorgen dat Monsanto’s
giftige onkruidverdelger voorgoed verboden wordt.
Glyfosaat
is Monsanto’s goudmijn. En als wij niks doen zou deze zomaar nog
eens tien jaar open kunnen blijven.
Maar
als één miljoen mensen zich aansluiten bij dit officiële
burgerinitiatief is de Europese Commissie wettelijk verplicht te
reageren. Het
invullen van dit formulier is minder eenvoudig dan het ondertekenen
van een petitie, dus als we de één miljoen halen maakt dit indruk
op wetgevers.
Onze partners hebben al een half miljoen handtekeningen
verzameld– en samen
kunnen wij binnen een paar dagen doorstoten naar de één
miljoen!
Deze
enge verdelger wordt overal gebruikt —
in weilanden, speeltuinen en parken. Terwijl er geen onomstreden
bewijs is dat het veilig is.
Vorig jaar zou de
vergunning van glyfosaat met vijftien jaar verlengd worden, maar twee
miljoen Avaazers stonden op tegen Monsanto en andere chemiereuzen en
wonnen!!! Er
kwam geen nieuwe vergunning en in plaats daarvan werd de oude
vergunning voor een korte periode verlengd. Nu is de strijd om de
vergunning van glyfosaat weer losgebarsten — en onze stem is nu
harder dan ooit nodig!
Het
bestaande wetenschappelijk onderzoek biedt overweldigende steun voor
onze oproep tot een preventief verbod. We
kunnen daarom niet toestaan dat de Europese Commissie wegkijkt! Een
officieel burgerinitiatief is meer dan een petitie — het is een
krachtig democratisch middel waarmee burgers de Europese agenda
kunnen beïnvloeden.
Dit
is onze kans om roet in het eten te gooien voor Monsanto en andere
chemiereuzen — voor het te laat is.
We
hebben al eens laten zien dat het onmogelijke mogelijk is — we
leverden de grootste petities ooit tegen glyfosaat af en zetten druk
op EU-landen. Zo wonnen we de eerste helft in een wedstrijd tegen
chemiereuzen. Maar de strijd is nog niet gestreden. Laten we nu
alles op alles zetten voor voedselveiligheid en duurzaamheid, en in
recordtijd een miljoen handtekeningen te verzamelen.
