Staatsbank FMO alweer betrokken bij misdaad en zelfs moord in Honduras

De Nederlandse Financierings-maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden (FMO) is een Nederlandse staatsbank (de overheid heeft 51% van de aandelen) die is opgezet als een bilaterale internationale financiële instelling te Den Haag. De FMO beheert fondsen voor de ministeries van Buitenlandse Zaken en Economische Zaken ‘om de ontwikkelingsimpact van particuliere investeringen te maximaliseren’, aldus Wikipedia, dat daar nog aan toevoegt dat de bank ‘onder toezicht staat’ van de Nederlandse Bank (DNB). Ofwel als een Nederlands bedrijf bijvoorbeeld groente of bloemen wil telen in een Afrikaans land, omdat daar de eisen op milieu en arbeidsgebied zo goed als niets voorstellen, kan deze om een investering van de FMO vragen……  

Als al zo vaak eerder gezien is dat toezicht van DNB zacht gezegd waardeloos, zo bleek afgelopen zomer al uit een NOS bericht over de FMO, dat vandaag door een FD artikel over witwaspraktijken door deze bank naar voren kwam toen ik zocht naar achtergrondinformatie….. Kortom dit zijn al 2 missers van De Nederlandse Bank, die immers toezicht zou moeten uitoefenen op de FMO, waarbij de witwas praktijk natuurlijk uit meer dan één zaak bestaat…… Klaas Knot, de topgraaier van DNB is dus totaal ongeschikt voor zijn baan, deze plork had na alle witwasschandalen bij andere banken (waaronder ING en nog een staatsbank te weten: ABN Amro….) toch minstens de FMO onder de loep moeten leggen…… (en had dat al veel eerder moeten doen, gezien de misdadige praktijken van de FMO)

Het blijkt dat de FMO de Hondurese zakenman en ongelofelijke schoft, David Castillo een fikse bak geld heeft geleend voor een waterkrachtcentrale waar de plaatselijke bevolking zich tegen heeft verzet. De woordvoerder van deze mensen, Berta Cáceres, die zich met enorm veel energie heeft ingezet tegen deze waterkrachtcentrale, werd vermoord in haar huis* en uit documenten en getapte WhatsAppberichten blijkt dat Castillo het geld van de FMO niet alleen gebruikte als smeergeld (grote corruptie, ofwel een zware misdaad) maar zelfs voor de moord op Berta Cáceres……. 

Hier nog een paar schandalen waarbij de FMO was betrokken (tekst van Wikipedia):

In juli 2019 werd de FMO genoemd in de ‘Mauritius Leaks’, dat betreft 200.000 gelekte belastingdocumenten van het offshore advieskantoor Conyers, Dille & Pearman op Mauritius. De papieren waren gelekt naar het Internationaal Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), waarvan het Nederlandse dagblad Trouw deel uitmaakt.[4]
De FMO zou jarenlang met Nederlands overheidsgeld het Ierse, beursgenoteerde mijnbouwbedrijf Kenmare hebben gefinancierd. Kenmare exploiteert in Mozambique de grootste titaniummijn
ter wereld en ontdook volgens de documenten sinds 2007 belasting via
Mauritius. De FMO verstrekte sinds 2004 leningen aan Kenmare en nam aandelen in het bedrijf ter waarde van zeker 44 miljoen euro.

Verder blijkt uit de gelekte documenten dat de FMO in 2012 een miljoenenkrediet verstrekte aan een beursgenoteerde investeringsmaatschappij met een omzet van vele miljarden dollars dat de bouw van mobiele netwerken in Nigeria en Kameroen via Mauritius laat lopen.

Ondanks eerder schandalen al vanaf 2004 vonden de ministeries van BuZa en Financiën, plus De Nederlandse Bank het niet nodig om de FMO extra goed in de gaten te houden, hoe is het gvd mogelijk??!!! Voorts blijkt in feite dat de FMO, nogmaals een staatsbank, betrokken is bij belastingontduiking….. 

Naast de topgraaiers van DNB, Knot en zijn CDA voorganger Wellink, zijn ook een aantal ministers van Financiën en BuZa verantwoordelijk voor de misdaden die de FMO heeft gepleegd, o.a. op Economische Zaken: de CDA hufters Verhagen en van der Hoeven, VVD capo Kamp en plork Wiebes en op Buitenlandse Zaken: CDA oorlogshitser de Hoop Scheffer, plus CDA hufters Bot en Verhagen, VVD leeghoofd Rosenthal, PvdA oplichters Timmermans en Koenders, VVD ploerten Zijlstra en Blok, D66 kwaadaardigheid Kaag en uit de mottenballen gehaald: CDA volksverlakker Knapen…. Een strafrechtelijk onderzoek naar deze figuren lijkt me meer dan gewenst (en niet alleen vanwege deze zaak!!).

Intussen is de situatie voor de oorspronkelijke bevolking van Honduras allesbehalve verbeterd, niet voor niets ook dat de laatste jaren grote aantallen Honduresen zijn gevlucht naar de VS >> nog steeds zijn er veel Honduresen onderweg naar de VS…..

Deze zaak toont ten overvloede aan dat het een wel heel smerig sprookje is te geloven dat ondernemers beter ontwikkelingswerk leveren als daarvoor opgeleide mensen, zoals hare PvdA kwaadaardigheid Ploumen als minister heeft doorgevoerd, waarbij deze ellendige nep-hippie zelfs succesvolle ontwikkelingsprojecten de nek heeft omgedraaid, projecten waar vele jaren werk in zat….. Na haar ingreep bracht Oxfam Novib een paar jaar later een rapport uit, waar de conclusie was dat de geïnvesteerde ontwikkelingsgelden waren verdwenen in de zakken van de Nederlandse ondernemers en er zo goed als niets was gepresteerd op het gebied van ontwikkelingshulp…… Als beloning mocht Ploumen na het vertrek van opperschoft Asscher de PvdA leiden, nog steeds is deze kwaadaardige feeks voorzitter van die meer dan waardeloze oplichterspartij……

Nederlandse staatsbank FMO financierde veroordeelde Hondurese zakenman

De
Nederlandse ontwikkelings- en staatsbank FMO heeft miljoenen geleend
aan het bedrijf van een Hondurese zakenman, die is veroordeeld voor
betrokkenheid bij de moord op een mensenrechtenactivist. Dat meldt het FD.

Het
geld was bedoeld voor de bouw van een waterkrachtcentrale, waartegen
mensenrechtenactivist Berta Cáceres het verzet leidde. De familie van
Cáceres wil in een rechtszaak in Nederland de bank aansprakelijk
stellen. De bank zou de controleplicht verzuimd hebben en indirect de
moord mogelijk hebben gemaakt.

David
Castillo heeft het geld van FMO volgens de nabestaanden van Cáceres
gebruikt om smeergeld te betalen en zelfs om de moord te financieren. De
krant heeft van de familie inzage gekregen in rechtbankstukken,
betalingsafschriften en door de Hondurese justitie getapte
WhatsAppgesprekken van Castillo.

Huurmoordenaars

Deze
maand werd ex-militair Castillo veroordeeld voor de “planning en
organisatie” van de moord op Cáceres. Zij werd in 2016 in haar huis door
huurmoordenaars doodgeschoten. Ze was tegen de komst van de
waterkrachtcentrale omdat die het leefgebied van inheemse gemeenschappen
zou bedreigen.

FMO laat weten geschokt te
zijn door de zaak en zegt dat de selectiecriteria voor projecten
strenger zijn geworden. Inhoudelijk wil de bank niet reageren omdat de
zaak voor de rechter ligt.

De bouw van de
waterkrachtcentrale werd voor ongeveer een kwart gefinancierd door FMO,
wat neerkwam op 15 miljoen euro. Volgens het FD maakte FMO geld over
naar twee bedrijven die niet betrokken waren bij de bouw van de
centrale. De bank had ten tijde van de moord 6 miljoen euro betaald.

FMO
stimuleert economische groei in ontwikkelingslanden en de Nederlandse
Staat is voor 51 procent eigenaar van de bank. Eerder kwam de bank in
opspraak om het financieren van ‘foute’ bedrijven, waaronder drie palmolieplantages in Congo.

CIA rekruteert folteraars met een beroep op vrouwenemancipatie: een fikse rel in de VS

Eergisteren is er flink wat tumult ontstaan over een rekruteringsvideo van de CIA, waarin een Latijns-Amerikaanse CIA agent genaamd ‘Mija’ het werken bij deze enorme terreurorganisatie aanprijst als het werken voor een organisatie waar men geen onderscheid maakt tussen de beloning voor man en vrouw, daarbij draagt ze een T-shirt waarop het ‘girl power’ symbool is te zien en de tekst ‘Mija je bent het waard……’ (in het Engels zoals je begrijpt)

Deze Mija stelt in de video onder andere een gekleurde vrouw te zijn, een cisgender*, die gediagnosticeerd werd als zou ze een gegeneraliseerde angststoornis hebben (met de Engelse verkorting GAD), iemand die overal beren op de weg ziet……. ha! ha! ha! ha! In dit geval lachwekkend, wat deze stoornis natuurlijk niet is, daar de CIA inderdaad overal gevaar ziet of beter gezegd creëert, daar angst het verdienmodel is van geheime diensten (ook in ons land) en met het creëren van angst hebben deze en andere geheime diensten van de VS (meer dan 25!!) geen moeite waarbij men zich bedient van leugens, bedrog en andere manipulaties…… Als het daarbij gaat om onwillige buitenlandse regimes: bedienen deze geheime diensten zich van het organiseren van opstanden en draaien zelfs de hand niet om voor het plegen van coups, waarbij men dit in eigen land verkoopt als ‘het beschermen van de VS……’

Op meer manieren geeft Mija aan dat ze een zelfstandige vrouw is en commentaar aan het eind van de video luidt: weet wat je waard bent, regel je omgeving. Mija je bent het waard…….. Iemand heeft als commentaar onder de video toegevoegd dat mensen in andere delen van de wereld, die ook maar even proberen hun omgeving te regelen, vaak eindigen als vermoord door de CIA of worden vermoord door figuren die in opdracht van de CIA handelen……

Het is uiteraard te ziek voor woorden dat de CIA zaken misbruikt als die uit de vrouwenstrijd en dat voor een continent waar de CIA op vreselijke manieren regimes heeft getraind te martelen en dat ook zelf heeft gedaan, waarbij de vreselijkste vormen van marteling NB werden gebruikt op vrouwen…….. (martelingen beschreven door Caitlin Johnstone in het hieronder opgenomen artikel)……. De CIA is zelfs verantwoordelijk voor moorden op milieuactivisten in Latijns-Amerika, zoals de moord op Berta Cáceres….**

Ongelofelijk te zien en te lezen dat de CIA werkelijk alles en iedereen kan misbruiken om haar terreur over de wereld uit te oefenen en dat ook nog eens voor een groot deel doet met inkomsten uit drugshandel….. Velen stellen dan ook dat de CIA, andere geheime diensten in de VS, waaronder de FBI en de DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) de grootste drugsimporteurs zijn in de VS…..

Lees het artikel van Caitlin en zegt het voort, de hoogste tijd dat iedereen de CIA gaat zien voor wat het werkelijk is: de grootste terreurorganisatie ter wereld!! Zodat men eindelijk de reguliere westerse media kan aanwijzen als brengers van fake nieuws (nepnieuws), ander bedrog en smerige manipulaties, die er geen moeite mee hebben om alle leugens van de CIA of NSA blindelings over te nemen…… Waarbij de ‘journalisten’ niet zelden stellen dat ze hun berichten hebben gecontroleerd, terwijl die controle bestaat uit het kijken of andere massamedia deze berichten ook hebben overgenomen, zonder dat men de inhoud daadwerkelijk kritisch heeft onderzocht……. Het zijn dan ook juist de reguliere westerse (massa-) media die fake news brengen en de boel helpen te manipuleren, neem alleen al de aanloop naar en de illegale oorlog tegen Irak >> heb je daar ooit ook maar één rectificatie voor gezien, bijvoorbeeld in de NRC of de New York Times?? (voor zover je de NRC kan zien als massamedium)

Social media was ablaze yesterday over a CIA recruiting video which you should definitely watch if you haven’t seen it already, because it has to be seen to be believed.

The video features a Latina CIA officer proudly describing her ascent to her position in one of the most depraved institutions
that has ever existed using a jaw-dropping fountain of social justice
buzzwords and appeals to Latin American culture while wearing a t-shirt
featuring a girl power symbol and the caption “Mija, you are worth it.”

“I
am a woman of color, I am a mom, I am a cisgender millennial who’s been
diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD),” she says. “I am
intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise. I am a
walking declaration. A woman whose inflection does not rise at the end
of her sentences suggesting that a question has been asked.”

“I
did not sneak into the CIA,” says the officer over
inspirational-sounding music, adding, “At 36, I refuse to internalize
misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be.”

“Know your worth, command your space. Mija, you are worth it,” the video concludes.

“People
in other parts of the world who make even modest efforts to ‘command
their space’ often end up murdered by the CIA or its proxies,” someone commented under the video.

It’s
honestly one of the most appalling things I’ve ever seen. To see ideas
and values that are intended to protect and elevate disempowered members
of the human community exploited to promote an immensely powerful
government agency notorious for its down-punching assaults on those very
populations is horrifying, to put it mildly.

This would after all be the same CIA that has inflicted many murderous and catastrophic interventions upon the world in general and Latin America in particular. The same lying, drug-running, warmongering, propagandizing, psychological terrorizing institution whose extensive use of torture has reportedly included
“Rape, gang rape, rape using eels, snakes, or hard objects, and rape
followed by murder; electric shock (‘the Bell Telephone Hour’) rendered
by attaching wires to the genitals or other sensitive parts of the body,
like the tongue; the ‘water treatment’; the ‘airplane’ in which the
prisoner’s arms were tied behind the back, and the rope looped over a
hook on the ceiling, suspending the prisoner in midair, after which he
or she was beaten; beatings with rubber hoses and whips; the use of
police dogs to maul prisoners.”

So
it’s understandable that a video promoting this agency using language
intended to uplift women, Latin Americans, and those struggling with
mental illness has been met with widespread ridicule and mockery. Of course, it was only a matter of time before this outrage elevated the video to the attention of mainstream conservatives and it was turned into another vapid partisan issue.

“China and Russia are laughing their asses off watching CIA go full woke,” tweeted Donald Trump Jr. “‘Cisgender.’ ‘Intersectional.’ It’s like The Babylon Bee is
handling CIA’s comms. If you think about it, wokeness is the kind of
twisted PSYOP a spy agency would invent to destroy a country from the
inside out.”

Yes Junior, the CIA is trying to destroy the very empire it exists to defend, using “wokeness”. Fucking moron.

“The
CIA once had a mission against the Soviets, then Al Qaeda, but it is
now a slothful, wasteful bureaucracy, overrun with politically correct
slogans and militant mediocrity- as is the whole ‘intelligence
community’,” tweeted radio host Buck Sexton.

Yeah
the CIA was awesome when it was murdering and torturing Muslims and
communists, but now it’s just a wasteful bureaucracy. Putz.

To be clear, here are the things we learned from the CIA’s “I am intersectional” video:

  • The CIA has unbelievable audacity.
  • There is no value system the CIA won’t exploit.
  • The politics of identity are not in and of themselves enough to meaningfully challenge power.

Here are the things we did not learn from the CIA’s “I am intersectional” video:

  • Inclusiveness is bad.
  • Republicans are smart.

The
video is significant because it shows an agency staffed entirely by
sociopaths using extremely manipulative language to advance its
predatory agendas, not because it vindicates your dopey ideology. It’s
so dumb and depressing how everything real gets twisted and bogged down
into fake partisan bullshit.

The CIA can use, has used, and will use any
ideological position to advance its agendas. That’s what’s so creepy
about the video: it’s a high-budget, in-your-face example of how
predatory manipulators operate, and it sets off our predation alarms.
It’s not because “woke bad”.

Sociopaths
don’t use language like normal human beings; normal people use language
for connection and communication, while sociopaths use it for
manipulation and control. Seeing it laid out openly, with language toyed
with in a way that is entirely divorced from human value, is
shudder-inducing.

Still,
it is in some sense comforting to know that after all this time, after
all that practice, after all that research into the mechanics of the
human mind, and even with all its vast resources, the CIA can still make
a sloppy propaganda video that is subject to viral disgust. They might
be sociopaths, they might have an immense budget supplemented by their
own covert drug trafficking programs,
but at least the missing empathy centers in their brains sometimes make
it difficult for them to understand normal human beings enough to
manipulate them effectively.

It’s
just so crazy that people still support this warped, perverse
institution. It says so much about the power of Hollywood brainwashing,
and about the power of denial. People just assume the CIA no longer does
the profoundly evil things we know for a fact it has done in the past,
and this assumption is based on literally nothing. It’s based on no
factual evidence whatsoever. It’s believed because it is comfortable.

You
can be sure that when the next revelation about some unfathomably evil
thing the CIA did in the past comes out, people will say “Boy I’m sure
glad it’s not like that anymore! Today’s CIA is intersectional!”

Inept sociopaths go to prison.

Mediocre sociopaths become cops.

Effective sociopaths become CEOs.

Clever sociopaths join the CIA.

Intersectional Omnicide

Our weapons will be manufactured by corporations
that have pansexual CEOs and Muslim shareholders.

The bombers will be emblazoned with rainbow flags
and flown by empowered women of all colors
who will scream “YAAASSS QUEEN!” as the mushroom clouds arise.

The desert sand will turn to glass in the blasts,
and that glass will become a ceiling,
and that ceiling will be shattered
by a lesbian CIA Director.

People will be vaporized on the spot,
or watch their own bodies fall apart like sandcastles,
but they will never be misgendered.

We will march as equals,

and whatever miscellaneous extras we can find
(so long as they’re photogenic enough for Instagram),
arm-in-arm singing “Fight Song” in one voice
beneath a drone-filled sky
to the edge of extinction

screaming “This is all Susan Sarandon’s fault!”
into the face of the abyss.

It won’t be pretty,
it won’t be wise,
but at least,
for one glorious flash,
we will get to feel like we really tried.

Ongelofelijk
dat men werkelijk denkt dat met Biden de situatie voor veel landen
zal verbeteren als het gaat om mensenrechten en misdaden tegen de
menselijkheid >> waarom zou men dat denken als je ziet dat Biden tot
de weinige VS presidenten behoort die al voor diens presidentschap
aangemerkt moet worden als oorlogsmisdadiger…… Deze
‘twijfelachtige eer’ verwierf Biden al onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama, als
diens vicepresident is hij mede verantwoordelijk voor de illegale
oorlogen die de VS aanging en de oorlogen die de VS veroorzaakte tijdens de administratie van Obama…… Dit
nog naast medeverantwoordelijkheid voor het ingrijpen in landen middels het organiseren van
opstanden en zelfs staatsgrepen, zoals die in het Honduras van
2009….. Deze coup werd door Hillary Clinton, destijds VS minister van buitenlandse zaken, georganiseerd en samen met de CIA geregisseerd….. (nogmaals: onder medeverantwoordelijkheid van Joe Biden en Barack Obama….)

Sinds
die tijd is er een waar (beter: zwaar) terreurbewind gaande in
Honduras, waarvan al velen het slachtoffer zijn geworden en milieu-
en mensenrechtenactivisten als Berta Cáceres vogelvrij zijn
verklaard……… Een aantal van hen zijn als Cáceres vermoord en niet zelden
op een vreselijk barbaarse manier……. Ondanks dat de verkiezingen
die sinds de staatsgreep in Honduras werden gehouden en die
overduidelijk waren gestoken, werd er geen kritiek geleverd door de
VS of de rest van het westen, dit in sterke tegenstelling tot andere
landen in Latijns-Amerika, die niet als een hond achter de VS
aanlopen en waar de westerse landen na elke verkiezing stellen dat
deze werden gemanipuleerd (hoewel internationale waarnemers ze wel
als eerlijk beoordeelden, zoals de laatste verkiezingen in
Venezuela)……

Het gaat
de VS en de rest van het westen dan ook om het veiligstellen van
grondstoffen en belangenbehartiging van westerse bedrijven in die landen,
zo heeft de NAVO nu ook 2 bases in Colombia……. Over Colombia
gesproken: gisternacht op BBC World Service het bericht dat de regering
van Álvaro
Uribe Vélez,
veelal aangeduid als (Álvaro) Uribe, die het land regeerde van 2002
tot augustus 2010, verantwoordelijk is voor massamoorden, dit door de vondst van massagraven waarover men
bekend maakte dat daar 6.500 burgers werden gevonden, vermoord door
regeringstroepen…… (eerder ging men uit van rond de 2.000 moorden) Uribe, de fascist die goede banden onderhield met zowel
George W. Bush als ‘vredesduif’ Obama……

Trump
sloot een verdrag met Honduras en Guatemala, om
vluchtelingenkaravanen richting VS uit elkaar te slaan (mensen die
vluchten vanwege overheidsgeweld en de uitzichtloze situatie voor de
sterk verarmde grote onderlaag). Je zou verwachten dat Biden
onmiddellijk een streep heeft gezet door dat misselijkmakende
verdrag, gezien zijn woorden in aanloop van de verkiezingen, maar
niet is minder waar >> Biden laat Honduras en Guatemala gewoon doorgaan
met de zware repressie en het uiteenslaan van vluchtelingen
karavanen, die na het verdwijnen van Trump weer zijn ontstaan en
waarvan er een paar alweer op weg zijn naar de grens tussen Mexico en
de VS, waar al 25.000 vluchtelingen wachten om te worden toegelaten
tot de VS, of die ten einde raad de gevaarlijke illegale overgang van
de grens zoeken, waar velen het leven laten in de woestijn……

Roberta
Jacobson, Bidens hoogste ambtenaar die de opdracht kreeg om een
nieuwe, veilige en humane migratie politiek te vormen, heeft Biden
gevraagd geduldig te zijn en heeft er bij hem op aangedrongen
geen nieuwe migranten toe te laten…… (nogmaals terwijl er al
25.000 mensen aan de grens wachten om te worden toegelaten, mensen
die daar vaak al langer dan een jaar wachten, terwijl zij op de vlucht zijn voor door de VS veroorzaakte terreur…)….
Overigens is het de vraag wat Biden en Jacobson achter gesloten
deuren hebben besproken, daar het bepaald niet ondenkbaar is dat deze
woorden van te voren door Biden werden ingefluisterd, immers de man
is een enorme hypocriet….)

Bidens
immigratie politiek houdt o.a. in dat de VS 4 miljard dollar zal
spenderen aan Honduras, Guatemala en El Salvador, om met dat geld de
reden voor het vluchten tegen te gaan, waarbij de Biden administratie
ervan uitgaat dat dit puur economische redenen zijn, wat ze duidelijk
niet zijn en dat moet hij gezien zijn geschiedenis weten!!! Volkomen terecht dan ook dat John Perry, de schrijver
van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, stelt dat geld pompen in landen
waar de regering voor enorme ellende zorgt niet zal helpen, sterker
nog dat kan het probleem alleen maar verergeren (en nogmaals: totdat
de foute machthebbers weg zijn, al is dat zelfs geen garantie zoals
Perry opmerkt, daar het systeem erop is gericht om de belangen van
het westen veilig te stellen….. Een ‘Catch 22’ situatie, immers
Biden en zijn administratie zullen op zeker niets doen tegen deze
belangenbehartiging…..

Perry
schrijft in zijn artikel dat eerder op London Review of Books werd
gepubliceerd en dat ik overnam van Information Clearing House (ICH), o.a. over
de in feite onwettige president van Honduras, Juan
Orlando Hernández (JOH), dat deze van Honduras een narcostaat heeft
gemaakt en dat een laboratorium voor cocaïne, onder zijn verantwoording beschermd door het
leger, verantwoordelijk is voor de maandelijkse ‘export’ van honderden
kilo’s cocaïne naar Miami (Florida)…… Terwijl organisaties die
verantwoordelijk zijn voor herstel na bijvoorbeeld orkanen amper of
niet werken, de hulpgelden verdwijnen voor een groot deel in
‘bepaalde zakken’, vandaar ook dat men in Honduras zegt dat wanneer
deze organisaties drugslaboratoria waren geweest, de boel wel zou
werken…..

“Information
Clearing House”
– On the day he was inaugurated, Joe Biden halted the construction of
Trump’s Mexican border wall. A few days earlier, 1500 miles to the
south, a new ‘caravan’ of at
least eight thousand Honduran migrants had set off northwards,
partly in the hope that by the time they tried to cross into Texas,
Biden’s promised softening of immigration policy might have taken
effect.

Obstacles left by
Trump still stand in their way. Agreements he made with Honduras and
Guatemala led to police attacking and dispersing the refugees.
Scattered groups are still heading towards the Mexican frontier at
Chiapas – according to one
Trump-era official, ‘now our southern border’ – where they
will face Mexican troops. If they eventually reach the Rio Grande,
they’ll join 25,000 asylum seekers in camps, waiting to be
processed by US border officials. Roberta Jacobson, Biden’s
official charged with forming his new ‘secure, managed and humane’
migration policy, has asked
them to be patient and pleaded for no new arrivals.

Why do people take
these risks? The truth is that Honduras is a failed state and, unless
US policy towards it changes radically, many thousands more will head
north. Since the military
coup in 2009 there have been three corrupt elections. The last,
in 2017, which saw Juan Orlando Hernández (JOH) re-elected when
he had clearly lost, led to even more repression. Persecution of
human rights defenders is unceasing, even after international
condemnation of the murder
of Berta Cáceres five years ago. Seven were killed in 2020, and
four young leaders from Garifuna communities, abducted in a single
night seven months ago, are still
missing.

Curfews during the
Covid-19 pandemic appear to have worsened the day-to-day violence:
eleven corpses were found in the street in one week in January;
bodies are being chopped up and left wrapped
in plastic. Perhaps the most emotive case occurred earlier this
month: a doctor and student nurse, who had been working with Covid
patients, were arrested for breaching the 9 p.m. curfew. The doctor
was freed, but the nurse died in police custody. Protests erupted.
Five people were arrested, tortured
by the police and forced to confess to crimes they didn’t
commit.

In November, two
hurricanes hit
a country totally unprepared for them, destroying 6000 homes and
seriously damaging 85,000 more. By December, JOH was touring
financial institutions in Washington looking for money. He collected
more than $3 billion in aid for hurricane victims, despite
well-publicised corruption in the disbursement of funds donated
earlier to tackle Covid-19. Shortly after his visit, federal
prosecutors in New York –who a year ago established that JOH had
created a narco-state
– filed documents in a new
drugs case. After quoting JOH saying he would ‘shove the drugs
right up the noses of the gringos’ by flooding the US with cocaine,
they accuse him of ‘embezzling aid money provided by the United
States through fraudulent non-governmental organisations’. A
Honduran narcotics lab, protected by the military on JOH’s orders,
had been sending hundreds of kilos of cocaine to Miami every month.

The massive disruption
caused by the storms provoked a fresh peak of Covid-19 infections:
1100 new cases on a single day in mid-January, the highest so far.
Weakened by corruption and underfunding, the health service is
overwhelmed. At least 75 doctors and dozens of nurses have died, many
as a result of overcrowded wards and poor equipment. ‘We have to
wait until someone dies to give their bed to someone else,’ a
doctor said.
To fill the gaps, seven mobile hospitals were ordered last March but
only two are working properly. The head of the agency which made the
$47 million deal, accused of corruption, was sacked. People protested
under
the banner: ‘If it were a narco lab, it would be working.’

Biden’s immigration
policy includes spending $4 billion in El Salvador, Guatemala and
Honduras to address the problems that spur migration. It should be
obvious, not least from the evidence accumulated by New York
prosecutors, that the ruling party in Tegucigalpa is unfit to govern,
even if JOH is replaced in elections in November. But the problems go
much deeper than that: the whole governing system serves the needs of
big business – often North American companies – as it exploits
both the land and the workforce, destroying the environment and
maintaining the
second biggest gap between rich and poor in Latin America.
Throwing money at the problems could simply make them worse unless
Biden makes the fundamental changes in US policy that both Obama and
his secretary of state Hillary Clinton refused to contemplate.
Perhaps aware that this won’t be achieved quickly or easily, Biden
officials appear to have quietly asked
Mexico and its neighbours to continue to deter migrant caravans, even
as a new one is said to be forming.

JOH meanwhile faces
not only political rejection but possible extradition if the US turns
against him. He’s reported
to be ‘trying to figure out how to refashion himself from a Trump
ally into a Biden one’. He tweeted a photo
of himself with Biden in 2015: ‘I hope we can work together,’ he
wrote, ‘like in the past.’

Trump van zins Endangered Species Act de nek om te draaien: bedreigde diersoorten vogelvrij……..

De
Trump administratie is van plan de Endangered Species Act (ESA) fiks aan te
pakken. Een wens die Trump en diens jagende zoons al lang
koesteren……

Niet
alleen komt met het voorstel van Trump het voortbestaan van meerdere
bedreigde diersoorten in gevaar, maar kan men ook beschermde
natuurgebieden openzetten voor commerciële activiteiten tot en met
het kappen van grote arealen bos…….

Het
volgende artikel met petitie komt van Sierra Club. De petitie
kunnen wij helaas niet tekenen. Jammer en eigenlijk best lullig, immers de
aarde is van iedereen die erop woont (óók van de dieren!) en het
aantasten van grote natuurgebieden, kan grote gevolgen hebben
voor de rest van de wereld….. Hetzelfde geldt voor de enorme kap en
verbranding van oerwouden en dat voor brandstof (palmolie), hout,
voedsel voor de intensieve veehouderij (genetisch gemanipuleerde
soja) en mijnbouw……. Bij die jacht op grondstoffen
wordt niet zelden fiks gemoord, zoals slachtingen onder
oorspronkelijke volkeren en milieuactivisten (vaak ook uit stammen van
de oorspronkelijke volkeren)…….*

Benieuwd
welke Nederlandse banken investeren in die grondstoffenjacht,
gegarandeerd dat er minstens één Nederlandse bank investeert in het
verrampeneren van de wereld zoals wij die kennen…….. (als ‘t maar geld opbrengt, ‘want wie bent niet bepoald zuunig hè’, als het om natuurvernietiging gaat!’)

Over Nederland gesproken: ook hier zet het kabinet het mes in de bescherming van natuurgebieden: o.l.v. de Christen’Unie wil men bepaalde natuurgebieden openzetten voor commerciële activiteiten en soms zelfs voor huizenbouw (t.b.v. de ‘happy few’)…….

Men zou een apart internationaal strafhof op moeten richten tegen verregaande aantasting van natuurgebieden, tot en met het schieten op (of vergiftigen van) bedreigde diersoorten als wolf, beer en grote roofvogels…… Een Strafhof ook waar men verantwoordelijke politici kan vervolgen!

Trump Administration proposed three regulations that would
essentially gut major provisions of the administrative rules
implementing the ESA, including stripping protections from
“threatened” species and creating significant impediments to
listing of species and critical habitat designation. Sierra Club and
our ESA partners mounted a campaign to push back on these proposed
rule changes.

Over 75,000
people like you took action against this attempt to gut the
Endangered Species act, and in total, the ESA coalition generated
over 800,000 comments.

Today, against a
backdrop of recent reports of global mass extinction, the Trump
administration released final regulations weakening the Endangered
Species Act, the nation’s most effective tool in saving wildlife
from extinction.

The Trump
Extinction Plan would do major damage to our struggling wildlife. It
would gut critical endangered species protections by making it much
more difficult to extend protections to threatened species. It would
delaying lifesaving action until a species’ population is potentially
impossible to save. It will make it more difficult to protect polar
bears, coral reefs, and other species that are impacted by the
effects of climate change. It will even allow economic factors to be
analyzed when deciding if a species should be saved, making it easier
for companies to build roads, pipelines, mines, and other industrial
projects in critical habitat areas that are essential to imperiled
species’ survival.

Take action to
fight back against this administration’s horrific attacks on
wildlife!

Thomas Merton >> een kritische rk geestelijke vermoord in hetzelfde jaar als Robert F. Kennedy en Martin Luther King

Thomas
Merton (31 januari 1915 – 10 december 1968), een rk geestelijke die zich actief verzette tegen de
Vietnamoorlog, werd op 10 december 1968 vermoord, in hetzelfde jaar
dat Robert Kennedy en Martin Luther King werden vermoord, alle drie
mensen die zich hebben uitgesproken tegen de Vietnamoorlog….. (al
is daar wat betreft J.F. Kennedy nog steeds discussie over)

Brasscheck
TV bracht vorige week maandag een bericht over de mysterieuze dood
van Merton, die dag 50 jaar eerder. Als men in de VS spreekt over een
mysterieuze dood van een maatschappijcriticus, kan je er donder op
zeggen dat de CIA en/of de FBI het één en ander hebben geregeld om
een dergelijke criticus voorgoed de mond te snoeren………

In
de laatste video in dit artikel aandacht voor het enorme gebruik van heroïne, niet alleen in de VS maar ook in Zuid-Vietnam, waar na 1970 een enorm aantal VS militairen een overdosis hebben genomen (overigens
niet altijd dodelijk). De CIA deed zaken met ‘warlords’ in Cambodja
en transporteerde grote hoeveelheden heroïne in de lijkzakken van gesneuvelde militairen naar de VS……. Eén van de tactieken van de CIA en FBI
tegen opstandige jongeren in de VS was groepen als de Black Panthers

Uiteraard
gebruikte de CIA de gelden uit de heroïne verkoop voor zwaar
illegale acties in het buitenland, acties die zelfs de zittende

1968, 16,597 American servicemen were killed in Vietnam. This was

VS traint niet alleen geheime diensten in het buitenland hoe ‘het best’ te martelen, of doet de training van ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen), maar traint ook de speciale

alleen al daarmee is de VS hoofdverantwoordelijk voor het grote

milieuactivisten en activisten die zich inzetten voor de arme

Rusland
wordt door het westen beschuldigd van bemoeienis met interne

It
started at dawn. A vehicle full of Honduran police officers showed up
at around 5 am on May 3 in front of the community protest camp in
Pajuiles, where residents have been present day and night for more
than a year to prevent the passage of hydroelectric dam construction
machinery. Less than two hours later, the whole area was crawling
with hundreds of members of various police units, including regular
national police, the Police Investigations Directorate, the elite
COBRAS unit and the TIGRES special forces, which are heavily
supported by the US and trained by Green Berets from the 7th Special
Forces Group (Airborne).

“It
was like a war zone,” Pajuiles community leader Albertina López
told Truthout.

Police
forces lined the immediate area along the nearby highway that runs
from El Progreso up to Tela, along the Caribbean coast in the
Atlántida Department. Soon they were also lining the road past the
camp and up to the contested construction site of the Mezapa River
dam. They showed up in convoys, escorting machinery, construction
materials and company personnel up to the site, where the Honduran
company HIDROCEP has been trying to build a 1.3 megawatt dam.

“People
were scared,” said López. Nevertheless, she and a few other
women made an attempt to stop the machinery, lying down in the road
in front of the protest camp to try to stop the machinery’s passage.
“That’s when they started firing tear gas at us,” she said.
People scattered, ushering a 75-year-old protester and children to
safety, but López and others maintained their permanent presence at
the roadside resistance camp throughout the police operations that
lasted two full days.

State
violence against community resistance to natural resource
exploitation projects continues unabated in Honduras. The recent
crackdown in Pajuiles to impose a fiercely contested hydroelectric
dam project is just one of the latest incidents, but it provides a
clear example of the involvement of US-trained and -supported special
forces in repression against community activists.

“Honduran
security forces, including those receiving funding and training from
the United States, have been implicated in human rights violations in
recent years,” Christine Wade, a Washington College professor of
political science and international studies, told Truthout. “The
targeting of environmental and land rights activists is just one
facet of this.”

“Despite
these abuses, funding continues to flow from the US, our military
installations remain open to train Honduran security forces and
impunity reigns. Unless the US acts decisively to suspend aid to
security forces, these abuses will continue,” said Wade.

The
Intelligence and Special Security Response Group Units (TIGRES, an
acronym that spells “tigers” in Spanish) were created back
in 2013, when current Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández
proposed a bill as president of Congress. The initial proposal was
for more of an explicitly military-police hybrid force that would
have been transferred from civilian oversight to the Secretariat of
Defense in times of war, but those elements were removed from the
bill before its passage. The TIGRES now fall under the police
Directorate of Special Forces.

Training
of the first TIGRES recruits, drawn from military and police forces,
began in 2014, the year Hernández took office as president of
Honduras. They were trained by Green Berets from the 7th Special
Forces Group (Airborne) and Colombian members of the Comandos Jungla
special police force. The same US and Colombian forces trained the
following year’s recruits in a 12-week Comando basic course. Some
TIGRES agents also received advanced training from Green Berets at
the Eglin Air Force Base in Florida in 2015.

In
their first year in action, the TIGRES were implicated in a massive
theft and corruption scandal. More than 20 TIGRES agents were
suspended following
the theft of more than $1 million during operations against a drug
trafficker in western Honduras. Late last year, as reported
by The Intercept,
TIGRES were involved in raids and arrests targeting people who had
been protesting the contested outcome of the November 2017 elections
that officially resulted in Hernández’s re-election amid widespread
reports of vote-rigging and fraud.

On
April 10 of this year, a new TIGRES base, completed with US
financing, was inaugurated in El Progreso. It is the second TIGRES
base, joining the installations 25 miles west of Tegucigalpa, the
Honduran capital. High-ranking Honduran and US government officials
attended the inauguration in El Progreso, including Honduran
President Hernández; Richard Glenn, acting deputy assistant
secretary of state in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law
Enforcement Affairs; and Heide Fulton, the chargé d’affaires at the
US Embassy in Honduras, and currently the highest-ranking embassy
official.

Less
than one month later, TIGRES were involved in the crackdown in
Pajuiles, only 23 miles north of the new installations. Media reports
and Honduran and US officials highlight the TIGRES’ focus on
combatting drug trafficking and organized crime, but on May 3, they
were escorting dam company personnel and construction machinery along
with other police forces that cracked down on community protest.

The
Honduran Secretariat of Security did not provide a response to
Truthout’s requests for comment or even confirm basic details, such
as a ballpark figure of how many total police participated in the
operations in Pajuiles. López, other local residents, and human
rights observers estimated that approximately 250 to 300 members of
the various police forces and units were present.

The
US government did respond and is aware of the deployment of TIGRES to
Pajuiles. “There was no U.S. involvement in this operation,”
a Department of State spokesperson wrote in a response to Truthout’s
request for comment.

“While
we support the TIGRES professional development and specific missions
related to key U.S. interests in Honduras, particularly combating
drug trafficking and organized crime, we do not dictate their
deployment or other operations they conduct. We aggressively review
any allegation of wrong doing by the TIGRES or any other units of the
security forces we support, irrespective of whether it is a mission
we actively supported,” the Department of State spokesperson
wrote.

Ryan
Morgan, a member of the in-country human rights accompaniment team of
Witness for Peace, a US nongovernmental organization, witnessed the
presence and participation of TIGRES agents in operations in Pajuiles
on May 3, following his arrival at the community a couple of hours
after the police convoys began escorting the dam machinery.

“There
were a lot of US taxpayer dollars in Pajuiles that day,” Morgan
told Truthout. With regard to the TIGRES, Morgan believes their
presence there should be considered problematic even by US lawmakers
and embassy officials who believe their mandate is important for US
national security in terms of fighting drug trafficking and organized
crime.

“It
would be very hard to explain or justify the involvement of the
TIGRES in Pajuiles,” said Morgan. “This use of the TIGRES
should outrage even people who on paper support their existence and
US support for them,” he said.

TIGRES
agents were the first police forces Morgan and his colleague saw when
they were arriving at Pajuiles. They were stationed along the highway
approximately a quarter of a mile south of the road leading to the
protest camp, where a police roadblock was set up nearby. Morgan and
his colleague stayed at the camp all day, until 5 pm or so. Convoys
and machinery came and went up to the construction site, but by the
camp itself it was mostly COBRAS who were guarding the area, armed
with riot gear, tear gas and maybe only a pistol or two among the
dozen or so agents who swapped out every two hours. Escorts for dam
machinery were also largely provided by COBRAS, said Morgan, but that
changed later in the afternoon.

At
approximately 3 pm, a convoy came down from the dam construction
site, reportedly escorting HIDROCEP executive Jason Hawit. Morgan
didn’t see whether Hawit was in fact there or not, but he did note
the difference in police forces accompanying the vehicles.

“I
was really surprised to see two or three trucks full of TIGRES, all
with automatic weapons, obviously, that had apparently been up at the
construction site, providing security there all day,” Morgan
told Truthout. Shortly thereafter, TIGRES also showed up in the area
of the protest camp. “At 3:30 or so, rather than a new unit of
COBRAS coming to relieve the one that was there, it was a mixed unit
of COBRAS and TIGRES,” he said. As with those providing escort,
the TIGRES carried automatic weapons, not riot gear. The TIGRES
presence continued until the following night, on May 4.

Earlier
in the morning of May 3, before Morgan arrived, police arrested a
local Pajuiles resident while he was filming the security forces’
operations. Albertina López’s brother Nolberto López was taken into
custody, accused by police of causing a public scandal. According to
locals, however, he was arrested simply for recording police. He was
released without charges later that afternoon. He is far from the
first to suffer criminalization related to the protest camp, however.
His sister was acquitted, but 11 Pajuiles residents are still facing
trial.

Organized
in local community groups by sector, Pajuiles residents are members
of the Broad Movement for Dignity and Justice (MADJ), which grew out
of a prosecutor’s hunger strike against corruption and now also
focuses on natural resources and human rights issues. MADJ leaders
and community members alike have been subject to a barrage of
threats, intimidation and attacks, particularly in connection with
the dam protest camps in Pajuiles and in Arizona, also located in the
Atlántida Department.

“Pajuiles
has been subject to intense repression,” MADJ coordinator of
organization Saúl Ávila told Truthout. Many residents still face
trial for criminal charges linked to the camp, and there have been
past instances of police repression and militarization in Pajuiles.

One
local resident, Geovanny Díaz, who had participated in the dam
resistance camp was among the more than 35 people killed during the
nationwide violent crackdown on protests against election fraud. Díaz
was dragged
out of his home in
Pajuiles by men dressed in police uniforms, shot and killed
shortly after a protest ended in
the wee hours of January 23.

“There’s
collusion between the dam company and state forces, but local
divisions also aggravate the situation,” said Ávila. “The
[company] completely divided the upper communities and turned them
against the lower communities, which are the communities that will
suffer from water shortages if the hydroelectric dam is built,”
he said.

Alex
Main visited Pajuiles this past March for the one-year anniversary of
the protest camp. A senior associate at the Center for Economic and
Policy Research (CEPR) based in Washington, DC, Main has reported on
Honduran movements and US aid to security forces for years.

US
congressional efforts to cut or condition security assistance to
Honduras began in earnest back in 2010, according to Main. At the
time, there was increased attention to the country in the wake of the
June 2009 coup d’état that removed the elected president from office
and led to a marked spike in homicides, state violence and murders of
activists. Community-based land, environmental and Indigenous
activists have been particularly targeted.

“Given
that the situation has only grown worse since then, and that
horrifyingly frequent reports of police and military involvement in
activist killings have been met with near impunity, members of
Congress have continued to demand full suspension of security
assistance to Honduras in increasing numbers,” Main wrote in an
email to Truthout.

One
initiative to that effect is the Berta Cáceres Human Rights Act, a
bill named in honor of the well-known Honduran Indigenous rights and
social movement activist murdered in 2016. “[It] would instruct
the US administration to suspend all security assistance to Honduras
and to veto any loans from multilateral development banks to Honduran
police and military forces. It has so far garnered 70 House
co-sponsors,” Main noted.

At
the moment, legislative action with regard to aid to Honduran
security forces is limited to elements incorporated into
appropriations legislation that condition half of US aid to Honduras
on Department of State certification of compliance with a series of
loosely worded human rights measures.

“These
or similar requirements have been incorporated into appropriations
legislation for a number of years now, and have had no observable
positive effect to date,” wrote Main. “The last time they
certified the government’s compliance was actually just two days
after last year’s incredibly problematic elections, providing the
government with a needed boost just as they began deploying security
agents, including TIGRES, military police and conventional military
troops, to violently repress protests.”

Back
in Pajuiles, many residents are still shaken from the recent massive
deployment of security forces there. Police took photographs of
protest camp participants and community leaders during the
operations, and they have been informed by other residents that death
threats against them continue to circulate, said Albertina López.
They’re planning to formally report the latest threats to Honduran
authorities, but don’t have much faith it will result in any action.

“State
institutions don’t function. They don’t function at all — not for
us,” said López. However, López and other activists at the
protest camp are not giving up and have vowed to resist the dam. “We
continue the struggle,” she said.

Op 22 september jl. ontving ik van Rainforest Action Network (RAN) voor de tweede keer een petitie* waarin grote banken worden opgeroepen niet langer klimaatrampen** te financieren, dit middels de financiering van: -fossiele brandstofwinning, -de winning van mineralen, -winning van goud, -coltan (dat weer mineralen bevat) e.d. Belangrijk genoeg deze oproep nog eens te herhalen.

Op 24 oktober is er een bijeenkomst van de grote banken in Brazilië, waar men zal spreken over de Equator Principles, principes waaraan de aangesloten banken zich dienen te houden en waarbij ze beloven geen schade of zo min mogelijk schade aan te richten op het gebied van milieu en klimaat, daarnaast zou e.e.a. niet ten koste mogen gaan van de arbeiders en het leefgebied van oorspronkelijke bevolkingsgroepen (neem de Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).

Na alle berichtgeving over oorspronkelijke bewoners van het Braziliaanse Amazonewoud, die worden verjaagd en vermoord, t.b.v. grond om soja te verbouwen, of voor het winnen van mineralen en andere grondstoffen, is het duidelijk dat de grote banken lak hebben aan deze Equator Principles…… Ook bij het eerdere voorbeeld, de DAPL, waren grote banken de financiers, waaronder zelfs het Nederlandse ING (dat zich pas na heel veel druk terugtrok uit dit onzalige project….)….

In
30 days, more than 90 of the world’s largest banks will meet in
Brazil to recommit to the Equator Principles, a set of rules guiding
which big infrastructure projects they will and won’t
finance.1

“Equator Banks” have promised
to avoid or minimize the social, environmental and climate impacts of
such projects, and to respect the rights and interests of Indigenous
communities affected by them.2 But they haven’t kept
their word.

  • The
    Dakota Access Pipeline was financed by banks signed on to the
    Equator Principles even though it was built to pump tar sands, the
    dirtiest oil on earth, and was fiercely opposed by the Standing Rock
    Sioux and Cheyenne River Lakota Tribes for threatening their water
    sources.3

  • The
    Honduran Agua Zarca hydro project, where Indigenous leader Berta
    Cáceres was murdered for leading Indigenous resistance to the
    project, also passed the
    ‘Equator test’ of FMO bank as a project supposedly respecting
    the rights of the Lenca communities    .4

These
are just a couple examples of projects financed by banks under the
Equator Principles that are resisted by Indigenous communities. All
over the world, Equator banks also continue to finance new coal power
plants that will further add to climate disruption.

the same time to increase the pressure.5

Mexico: mensenrechten- en milieuactivist Isidro Baldenegro vermoord……..

Mensen het is alweer zover, BBC World Service meldde gisteren in het radionieuws van 1.00 u. (CET) dat er alweer een mensenrechtenactivist, te weten Isidro Baldenegro, werd vermoord in Latijns Amerika…… .Isidro Baldenegro was net terug uit ballingschap, hij moest eerder voor zijn leven Mexico ontvluchten……. Daar hij de strijd tegen onrecht te belangrijk vond en keerde Baldenegro terug naar Mexico, met de meer dan laffe en schandelijke moord op deze gelauwerde activist tot gevolg…….

Een bijzonder triest begin van het nieuwe jaar……. Vorig jaar werden er in een aantal Latijns-Amerikaanse landen mensenrechten- en/of milieuactivisten (meestal waren de slachtoffers beide) vermoord, zoals in Honduras, Guatemala en Brazilië…….. Alleen in Mexico werden in de periode van 2010 t/m 2015 ‘maar liefst’ 33 van deze activisten vermoord……

In Argentinië pakt men het onder de fascistisch/neoliberale regering anders aan, men klaagt die activisten ‘gewoon’ aan, als ze zich verzetten tegen de grote landeigenaren en de inhumane overheid….. Landeigenaren, vaak behorend tot de vriendenkring van de Zorreguieta’s (dus ook uw pampakoningin), die naar willekeur handelen en de oorspronkelijke bevolking met behulp van politie en bewapende bendes als derderangs burgers behandelen…. En pampakoningin Maxima maar micro-kredieten steunen in ontwikkelingslanden, zodat arme sodemieters zich tot de nek in de schulden steken, niet zelden reden tot suïcide na faillissement….*

‘Fijn ook’, dat deze moorden zo in de belangstelling staan bij PvdA opperknurft Koenders, oh wacht: hij is natuurlijk weer met ‘doodstille diplomatie’ bezig……… Datzelfde, geen aandacht, geldt trouwens ook voor de Nederlandse media, ik kon gisteren over dit onderwerp geen artikel vinden………… Ach eigenlijk wel ‘logisch’, daar in 99 van de 100 gevallen de CIA zich ook met deze zaken bemoeit en zoals u weet: alles wat de VS flikt in het buitenland is heilig voor de westerse politiek en de reguliere media……….

BOGOTA (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – A prominent environmentalist in Mexico was shot dead over the weekend, highlighting the dangers facing activists in Latin America and prompting calls for better protection of land and indigenous rights campaigners.

Isidro Baldenegro, an environmental rights activist, was killed by gunmen on Sunday in Mexico’s northern state of Chihuahua after having received death threats.

A community leader of Mexico’s indigenous Tarahumara people, Baldenegro was known for his fight against illegal logging in the country’s Sierra Madre mountain region.

For years he led non-violent protests against logging projects, including sit-ins and human blockades.

“The killing of Isidro Baldenegro Lopez is a tragic illustration of the many dangers faced by those who dedicate their lives to defend human rights in Latin America, one of the most dangerous regions in the work for activists,” said Erika Guevara-Rosas, Americas director at Amnesty International, in a statement on Wednesday.

“It is imperative that Mexico investigates this crime and that all governments across the Americas take more action to promote and protect the very important work human rights activists do with so much courage.”

Baldenegro, one of Mexico’s most prominent environmentalists, was awarded the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize in 2005 for his work against deforestation.

He is the second recipient of the prize, given to grassroots environmental activists, to be murdered in less than a year.

Honduran environmental campaigner Berta Caceres, who won the Goldman Prize in 2015 for her battle against construction of a dam that threatened to displace indigenous people, was killed in March 2016.

Campaign group Global Witness also urged Mexico to make sure Baldenegro’s killers are brought to justice.

“This crime must not be met with impunity, like the majority of these killings are,” Ben Leather, a campaigner for Global Witness, said in a statement, also on Wednesday.

“The Mexican authorities must act with conviction, prosecuting those responsible for Isidro’s murder and protecting his family and colleagues.”

At least 33 right defenders were killed in Mexico from 2010 to 2015, according to a 2016 report by Global Witness.

Baldenegro’s murder came at the start of a nine-day mission by United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights defenders Michel Forst to Mexico.

Making his first visit to Mexico, Forst planned to assess the situation facing the country’s human rights defenders and measures Mexican authorities are taking to protect activists.

“I’m deeply outraged by the murder of Isidro Baldenegro,” Forst wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

Mexico’s state prosecutor’s office has started an investigation into Baldenegro’s murder.

One gunman, who reportedly fled the crime scene, has been identified but not detained, according to local media.

Na 15.30 u. gistermiddag op Radio1, sprak men over het nieuwste ‘schandaal’ rond Trump. De FSB of andere figuren zouden compromitterende beelden van Trump hebben. ‘Zouden’ niets is zeker, aldus grofgraaier Derk Sauer, VS correspondent Michiel Vos en Ben de Jong van de UvA, zoals zij een aantal keren benadrukten.

Dit weerhield de heren er niet van, om stevig te speculeren over dit van horen zeggen en mogelijk zijnd verhaal……… Ook al zou dit verhaal niet waar zijn, zo lulde het stel, is dit observeren van hotelkamers, waar buitenlandse vip’s verblijven, staande praktijk in Rusland………… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Dat men weinig problemen heeft met de waarheid bleek wel, toen men stelde dat de ‘Hillary Hacks’ geen verzonnen, maar waar verhaal is……. Je zou toch denken , dat deze heren uit hoofde van hun functie toch minstens weet moeten hebben, dat de geheime diensten, waar ter wereld ook, zelden de waarheid spreken……….

Zo hebben deze geheime diensten er bijvoorbeeld geen moeite mee, om op basis van leugens en bedrog, de spanningen internationaal op scherp te zetten…….. Sterker nog de geheime diensten van de VS zijn op dat gebied de onbetwiste kampioenen, neem de illegale oorlog tegen Irak, die aan meer dan 1,5 miljoen Irakezen het leven heeft gekost (waaronder veel ouderen, vrouwen en kinderen)…… Hoe kan dit soort feiten ‘deze heren’ zijn ontgaan??!!!

Dit clubje sufferds gaat er dus vanuit, dat de ‘Hillary Hacks’ op waarheid berusten, terwijl ook daar geen greintje bewijs voor is…….. Zoals gezegd: over deze nieuwe ‘Trump-berichten’ zeiden de drie volksverlakkers nog wel, dat dit niet zeker is…….

Speculeren over de waarheid, terwijl over een echte uiterst smerige waarheid, die als een paal boven water staat, geen mens zich druk maakt: het grote computer hacken door de VS!! Zelfs niet over het hacken door de NSA van de slimme telefoon, die door de Duitse premier Merkel wordt gebruikt …….

Het vorige  was overigens de top van de spreekwoordelijke ijsberg: naast EU (en andere) politici, geheime diensten en politie, werden zelfs EU bedrijven op grote schaal gehackt door de NSA en andere geheime diensten in de VS……. Als Rusland dit zou hebben gedaan, waren de rapen gaar geweest…….. Nadat vorig jaar e.e.a. bekend werd gemaakt, verdween deze zaak ‘in razend tempo’ uit het nieuws………..

Bovendien is het zeker dat de VS zich al meer dan honderd jaar met de binnenlandse aangelegenheden van andere landen bemoeit. Zo werd ook Dilma Rousseff, de voormalige president van Brazilië, vorig jaar middels een smerige truc afgezet, e.e.a. werd gefinancierd, opgezet en geregisseerd door…. de CIA!!  Ook de staatsgreep in Honduras (in 2009) werd geleid door de CIA. Na die staatsgreep is er intussen een groot aantal mensenrechtenactivisten vermoord teruggevonden………. Klik voor berichten hierover op de labels B. Vergeet niet, dat de VS na WOII al meer dan 20 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord, alleen in de eerste 16 jaar van deze eeuw, heeft de VS al meer dan 2 miljoen moorden op haar naam staan…… Wat bedoelt u met ‘terrorisme???’ Zie: ‘VS vermoordde meer dan 20 miljoen mensen sinds WOII……..‘

Nee, Rusland en dan m.n. Putin is de boeman, die moet vallen, zelfs als dat WOIII betekent……….

Hondurese activiste ontvoerd en vermoord (alweer…), met instemming van de VS………

Afgelopen maart nog, werd de Hondurese linkse activiste Berta Cáceres vermoord, mede vanwege haar verzet tegen aan waterkrachtcentrale in gebied van de oorspronkelijke bevolking van Honduras, waartoe zij behoorde.

Gisteren het bericht op Information Clearing House, dat een ander lid van ‘The Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras’ (COPINH) is vermoord. Yeneth Urquia, ook een activiste tegen die waterkrachtcentrale, werd ontvoerd en daarna met messteken vermoord……..

COPINH represents Lenca indigenous people in resistance in the western provinces of Honduras, the traditional territories of the Lenca.

De daders zijn bekend, het betreft een Hondurese legereenheid, die wordt gesteund door de VS……. Urquia stond op de dodenlijst van deze legereenheid……

Sinds een door de VS opgezette en geregisseerde staatsgreep tegen de democratisch gekozen linkse regering van Manuel Zelaya in 2009, is het land gedompeld in een golf van rechts geweld, nou zeg maar terreur………

Ja, Obama heeft de Nobelprijs voor de vrede dik verdient……. Uiteraard is ook Hillary, of beter Killary Clinton, één van de hoofdverantwoordelijken voor de hierboven beschreven coup in Honduras en voor het grote aantal moorden dat viel tijdens en na, die coup…….. Opperploert Obama uitte zijn hypocriete bezorgdheid na de staatsgreep in 2009…….

Clinton weigerde in 2009 de staatsgreep als zodanig te erkennen, iets dat de VS ambassade in Honduras wel onmiddellijk heeft gedaan…….. Clinton spande zich in om de junta zo snel mogelijk als wettige regering te erkennen……. Dat belooft ‘nog wat’, als hare kwaadaardige helleveeg tot president wordt verkozen komende november…….
