Braziliaanse natuurbeschermer vermoord door illegale houthakkers

Vanmiddag in het CBC nieuws van 14.00 u. (CET) het bericht dat de
natuurbeschermer en actief lid van Guardians of the Forest
(Amazonewoud), Paulo Paulino Guajajara werd vermoord door
illegale houthakkers, dit terwijl hij probeerde bomen te beschermen tegen
‘illegale’ houthak…… ‘Illegale’ tussen aanhalingstekens daar de
fascistische president van Brazilië, Bolsonaro voor de verkiezingen
en ook nadat hij de verkiezingen won, heeft gesteld dat het
Amazonewoud wat hem betreft geheel gekapt of verbrand mag worden en
dat iedereen die ‘commerciële activiteiten’ wil ontwikkelen in het
Amazonewoud zijn zegen heeft……. (al gebruikte hij die laatste
woorden niet, komt het daar wel op neer….)

Over
Bolsonaro gesproken: voor zijn presidentschap heeft hij laten weten
dat hij geen interesse heeft in de oorspronkelijke volkeren van het Amazonewoud en het hem aan de reet zal roesten als ze vermoord worden……

De
overheid stelt intussen dat men deze zaak ‘ernstig neemt’ en dat de
daders gestraft zullen worden….. Loze woorden die al zo vaak eerder
werden gebruikt, echter van veroordelingen is bij mijn weten nooit
iets terecht gekomen, laat staan dat dit onder Bolsonaro wel zal
gebeuren….. Sterker nog van de 157 moorden die sinds 1985 tot 2017
zijn gepleegd op dezelfde gronden, hebben er 5 tot een rechtszaak
geleid…….

Sam Cowie publiceerde op The Guardian een artikel over de moord op Guajajara en hij stelt dat deze werd vermoord binnen het gebied van één van de oorspronkelijke stammen, ofwel de moordenaars waren ook nog eens illegaal in dat gebied aanwezig……

Overigens
is het in andere Latijns-Amerikaanse landen niet anders, de ene na de
andere ‘natuuractivist’ die de belangen van de oorspronkelijke
volkeren behartigen, werd en wordt vermoord…….

Waarom
steunt onze regering wel sancties tegen landen die de rechten van de eigen
bevolking schenden (waar dat meestal ook nog leugens zijn) en niet tegen landen die op grote schaal terreur brengen en daarbij grote bloedbaden aanrichten, laat staan dat men zich druk maakt op het grote aantal moorden op natuurbeschermers in diverse buitenlanden, veelal gepleegd door politie, leger, dan wel met uitgesproken steun van de afzonderlijke regeringen voor dat soort moorden…… Uiteraard bedoel ik met landen waartegen onze regering sancties steunt, landen als Syrië en Venezuela……
Dit terwijl misdaden uit naam van landen als de VS, Groot-Brittannië, Frankrijk (en andere NAVO-lidstaten), Brazilië,
Columbia, Saoedi-Arabië* , de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) e.a. niet worden gezien als reden om sancties te nemen, terwijl die misdaden wel even een heel stuk verder gaan dan de verzonnen misdaden begaan
door de regeringen van Syrië en Venezuela…. (misdaden waarvoor
geen flinter bewijs werd geleverd, terwijl degenen die deze leugens
ontmaskeren, tevens gigantisch grote dossiers hebben met bewijzen
over de misdaden begaan door de VS, Brazilië en de andere landen uit
dat hierboven weergegeven rijtje landen….)

Tijd
voor ‘ons’ nationale waterhoofd Willem Alexander en zijn
pampakoningin Maxima, met een stevige handelsdelegatie af te reizen naar Brazilië om de hartelijke banden met Brazilië nog eens verder aan te
halen…. Het stel was pas in India, een land dat ook door een fascist wordt geregeerd, dus Bolsonaro valt wat dat betreft niet uit de toon….. Nederland dat op jaarbasis 500 miljoen dieren groot- en
doodmartelt, is na China de nummer 2 importeur van genetisch
gemanipuleerde soja uit Brazilië, soja dat zoals je al begreep voor
diervoer wordt gebruikt……

‘forest guardian’ killed by illegal loggers in ambush

A
Brazilian indigenous land defender has been killed in an ambush by
illegal loggers in an Amazon frontier region.

According
to a statement by the Brazilian Indigenous Peoples Association, Paulo
Paulino Guajajara was shot and killed inside the Araribóia
indigenous territory in Maranhão state.

Another
tribesman, Laércio Guajajara, was also shot and hospitalised and a
logger has been reported missing. No body has yet been recovered.

Sérgio
Moro, the justice minister of far-right president Jair Bolsonaro’s
government, confirmed that Brazil’s federal police were
investigating the killing. “We will spare no effort to bring those
responsible for this serious crime to justice,” he tweeted.

The
tribesmen are members of an indigenous forest guard called Guardians
of the Forest, which formed in 2012 to ward off logging gangs
pillaging their rare, hardwood-rich reserve. Their work involves
armed patrols and destroying logging encampments and has earned them
dangerous enemies. Several Guardians in Maranhão have
been killed in recent years,
including three from Araribóia.

According
to Gilderlan Rodrigues, Maranhão regional coordinator of Brazil’s
indigenous missionary council, the murdered tribesman had been
threatened several times. “Their work bothers those that want to
loot their territory,” he said, adding that the killers were from a
nearby rural settlement and had entered the reserve without
permission. “These criminal actions must be combated so that more
lives are not lost.”

The
4,130 sq km (1,595 sq miles) Araribóia indigenous reserve is home to
an estimated 5,300 indigenous Brazilians of the Guajajara tribe and
the Awá, an isolated group described as the
“world’s most endangered tribe”.
It concentrates much of the last remaining Amazon rainforest in
Maranhão state.

Sarah
Shenker, senior research and advocacy officer at Survival
International,
who knew the murdered tribesman, described it as an “island of
green amid a sea of deforestation”. She said the killing was “a
crime foretold”.

Earlier
this year Paulino told Survival International: “It makes me so mad
to see this [forest destruction]. These people think they can come
here, into our home, and help themselves to our forest? No. We won’t
allow it. We don’t break into their houses and rob them, do we? My
blood is boiling. I’m so angry.”

The
reserve is officially protected by the Brazilian government but is
constantly targeted by logging gangs and has long been a hotbed of
violent conflict. In 2015, a former enforcement operations
coordinator with Brazil’s environmental agency Ibama, Roberto
Cabral, was shot there.

In
June this year, the Araribóia Guardians’ leader, Olímpio
Guajajara, recorded a video calling for help from the Brazilian state
after reporting that gunmen were being paid to kill them and
indigenous houses had been shot at.

“We
don’t want war, we want to resist,” he said. “We want the
Brazilian authorities to help protect the lives of the Guardians that
are threatened.” The video was sent to the Brazilian government.

Few
land conflict-related killings in Brazil result
in convictions, which advocates say has produced a culture of
impunity. According to Brazil’s pastoral land commission, a rural
violence watchdog, of 157 land conflict killings in Maranhão state
between 1985 and 2017, just five cases went to court.

Since
the beginning of this year, when Bolsonaro took office, observers
noted that attacks
and invasions of indigenous lands had soared in Brazil as
environmental and indigenous protection agencies suffered cuts and
interference.

“The
indigenous genocide of Brazil is legitimised by the discourse of the
president,” said indigenous leader Sonia Bone Guajajara, who is
from the Araribóia reserve and is currently in Europe with the
campaign Indigenous
Blood: Not a Single Drop More.

Ecuadoraanse oorspronkelijke bevolking behaalt grote overwinning op de ‘Dag van de Oorspronkelijke Bevolking’, voorheen Columbusdag

Afgelopen maandag was het Columbusdag, ook in Ecuador, een dag die men daar volkomen terecht
heeft omgedoopt in wat je in Nederland zou kunnen noemen, de ‘Dag van de Oorspronkelijke Bevolking’, immers
met de komst van Columbus startte
de genocide op de oorspronkelijke volkeren van de 3 Amerika’s…… 

Het IMF heeft voor de oorspronkelijke Ecuadoraanse bevolking, grotendeels het Waorani volk, de plaats ingenomen van
Columbus….. Vanwege aangekondigde olieboringen in het gebied van dit volk vonden de laatste jaren grote protesten plaats, met een intensivering in de afgelopen maanden…… Ecuador ook één van de landen, waar de oorspronkelijke bevolking nog steeds wordt achtergesteld (zoals deze zin al aangaf: dit is in alle 3 Amerika’s hetzelfde….)…..

Afgelopen maandag was het ook de dag dat het Waorani volk een belangrijke
overwinning behaalde, na 11 dagen protest die het land hebben
verlamd, heeft het IMF het nakijken en de deal met de regering voor
een lening van 4,4 miljard dollar gaat niet door!! Met de lening zou
de regering van Ecuador zichzelf deels ‘buitenspel hebben gezet’ daar met
die lening de Ecuadoraanse economie hervormd zou worden,
privatisering van staatsbedrijven, het uitputten van de Ecuadoraanse
‘bodemschatten’ als olieboringen in het oerwoud waar de
oorspronkelijke bevolking voor een groot deel woont…… Daarnaast
nog een aantal hervormingen, die alleen als neoliberaal kunnen worden
aangeduid, ofwel ijskoud, inhumaan, neoliberaal IMF beleid dat in het voordeel
werkt van de welgestelden, de grote bedrijven en de rechtse politiek……..

De weg
naar deze overwinning van het Waorani volk heeft wel een
zware tol geëist, maar liefst 7 doden en duizenden mensen die gewond
raakten en een evenzo grote hoeveelheid arrestaties……

Het

Victory
in Ecuador on Indigenous Peoples Day

Today
marks the 527th year anniversary since the arrival of the
conquistadors to the Americas – a day formerly known to many as
Columbus Day is now rightfully known as Indigenous People’s Day.
 

And
in Ecuador, the International Monetary Fund is the new Columbus.


Just
yesterday, after 11 days of nationwide indigeous-led mobilizations
that paralyzed the country, Ecuador’s indigenous movement compelled
their government to pay heed to their demands over those of the
International Monetary Fund, an important victory for indigenous
organizing and pluri-national democracy, and a powerful blow to a 4.4
billion IMF-backed loan deal that seeks to restructure the Ecuadorian
economy towards privatization, resource-extraction, and other severe
neo-liberal economic reforms.

As
the dust settles, the indigenous movement is taking stock of the high
costs of this struggle, with at least 7 dead and thousands arrested
or injured, as well as the road ahead to demand accountability for
brutal human rights violations by the Ecuadorian government. What
comes next will define the future of Ecuador and indigenous peoples
for generations to come.

Yale: genetisch gemanipuleerde muggen overleven en planten zich voort in natuur

Ongelofelijk weer: in Brazilië zijn
genetisch gemanipuleerde muggen vrijgelaten in de natuur, i.p.v. de
hele populatie steriel te maken en daarna uit te laten sterven,
overleefden een aantal gentech muggen en die kunnen zich zelfs
voortplanten…… Volgens deskundigen is dit gevaarlijk daar de
nakomelingen wel eens heel sterk zouden kunnen zijn en een nog
grotere muggenplaag worden (met grotere ziekteverspreiding)

Op een Frans eiland en
op Saba heeft het bedrijf Oxitec genetisch gemanipuleerde
muggen vrijgelaten als bestrijding van gevaarlijke lokale
muggen….. Ook in Florida is een groot aantal muggen uitgezet, wel
van een ander bedrijf en dat in 2016 en 2017, waar een jaar later
muggen werden gevonden die een virus overdragen dat de hersenen doet
zwellen……

Onbegrijpelijk dat men deze
Frankenstein experimenten toestaat….. Overigens wist Oxitec dat
een klein aantal muggen zouden overleven, echter er moest een prestatie
geleverd worden en wel zo snel mogelijk……

Sommige wetenschappers stellen dat het wel heel toevallig is dat het zika-virus in 2016 de kop opstak, na een eerder gevoerd experiment met gentech-muggen die op grote schaal werden losgelaten……..

Daarover gesproken in de VS is het de laatste maanden af en aan bal over de ziekte van Lyme, overgedragen door teken, waar men stelt dat het Pentagon heeft geprutst aan teken, om ze als wapen in te zetten…..

Nogmaals: niet te geloven dat men dit soort experimenten toestaat……

Yale
Study: Wild Mosquitoes Retained Genes of Genetically Modified
Mosquitoes

(AP) — In
Brazil a genetic engineering test of mosquitoes appears to have
failed, with genes from the mutant mosquitoes now mixing with the
native population, Nature reported.
This comes as mad scientists in the U.S. are finding they are getting
bitten back by messing with nature after running their own program to
genetically modify mosquitoes.

The
experiment involved a company called Oxitec which took male Aedes
aegypti mosquitoes
and genetically engineered them to have a dominant lethal gene. The
idea was first proposed in 2016, according to
an article by Science
Magazine that
discussed the plans to release the GM insects.

According
to the hypothesis when the genetically modified mosquitoes mated with
wild female mosquitoes, the gene was supposed to drastically cut down
the number of offspring they produced. Further, the few that were
born should have been too weak to survive a long period of time.

A
team of Yale students then studied the genomes of both the GM strain
and the wild species before the release, then again six, 12 and 27 to
30 months after the release began.

Around
450,000 modified males were released in Jacobina, Brazil every week
for 27 months straight, totaling tens of millions, according to
the Yale study.

Sure
enough, by the end of the test there was clear evidence that genes
from the transgenic insects had been incorporated into the wild
population. Although the GM mosquitoes only produce offspring about
three to four percent of the time, it seems that those that are born
aren’t as weak as expected. Some appear to make it to adulthood and
breed themselves.

In
theory, if the experiment worked it would have cut down the
population of mosquitoes in an area estimated up to as much as 85
percent. This of course if successful would translate to fewer
bug-borne diseases, like — dengue, yellow fever, Zika, and malaria
in humans and animals alike.

However,
that’s not what the final results were according to Yale
University. Yale explains that some of the native bugs, they found,
had surprisingly retained genes from the engineered mosquitoes; and
even worse, the experiments made them more resilient.

According
to New
Atlas there
are now three different strains of mosquitoes mixed together in
Jacobina and other places of Brazil.

The
bugs in the area are now made up of three strains mixed together: the
original Brazilian locals, plus strains from Cuba and Mexico – the
two strains crossed to make the GM insects. This wider gene pool
could make the mozzies more robust as a whole.

“The
claim was that genes from the release strain would not get into the
general population because offspring would die,’’ Jeffrey Powell,
senior author of the study said. “That obviously was not what
happened.”

Other
researchers released genetically modified (GM) mosquitoes in a
controlled environment, into a high-security laboratory in Terni,
Italy earlier this year, NPR reported.

Another
research firm called Target Malaria research consortium
also released 6,400
GM mosquitoes in West Africa, Burkina Faso, this year, which
was condemned by
the Civil Society, a group of organizations. The tests were funded by
organisations linked to the Gates Foundation, Facebook, and –
indirectly – the Pentagon, as part of a project to eradicate
malaria, The
Guardian reported.

The
release of GM mosquitoes in the village was an unethical experiment,
as Target Malaria acknowledges that there are no direct benefits to
the local population of this particular GM mosquito release, in terms
of malaria control. This was not an early stage trial of the GM
mosquitoes intended to be tested later for their impact on malaria,
but a release of an entirely different GM mosquito.

Thus,
there was no justification for making the releases. According to the
World Medical Association’s Declaration of Helsinki, which is based
on the Nuremberg Code and outlines the internationally agreed ethical
principles for medical research involving human subjects, such
research “may only be conducted if the importance of the objective
outweighs the risks and burdens to the research subjects” (Article
16).

Indeed,
the release of the GM mosquito in Burkina Faso poses risks, including
the incidental release of some biting female GM mosquitoes during the
experiments.

While
Target Malaria claims that the number will be small, nevertheless,
since GM female mosquitoes can bite humans and spread disease, the
release of biting females still poses some risk to local people.[ii]

Yale’s
study is especially alarming because here in the U.S. the same
company Oxitec was approved in
the U.S. by the Food Drug Administration (FDA) in 2016, to
genetically modify mosquitoes to fight against the Zika virus. This
trial allowed the release of mosquitoes in the state of Florida for
testing purposes in Key Haven, Monroe County.

Oxitec
also obtained funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to
develop the GM insects. It’s worth noting that Bill Gates
has said just
this year that “mosquitoes are the number one killer.”

Gates
also released a swarm of mosquitoes on an unsuspecting audience
at a TED
conference in
2009 to prove a point.

But
Oxitec’s experiments don’t end in the U.S. and Brazil, the lab
was also approved to
release its hellish X-Files like
mosquitoes in France and the Netherlands in 2017.

Christoph
Then for TestBiotech commented
about the study stating,

The
Oxitec trials have led to a situation that is largely out of control.
The company has released its patented insects although it was known
before that some insects could survive in the environment. The
expectations of their investors were more important than the
protection of health and the environment. There is no insurance and
no fast-track mechanism to prevent severe damage in a worst-case
scenario.

This
incident must have consequences for further applications of genetic
engineering. Preventing the spread of genetically engineered
organisms within natural populations has to become a priority.

Florida
isn’t the only state that we may have to worry about releasing GM
mosquitoes. In 2017 it was reported that the EPA officially
registered another company named MosquitoMate’s Asian Tiger
mosquito with a five-year license to sell their lab mosquitoes in as
many as 20 states, Nature reported.

In
2017, that same year, the U.S. Center for Disease Control and
Prevention reported that mosquitoes carrying disease could invade as
much as 75% of America in a paper published in
the Journal
of Medical Entomology.
Last year, the CDC stated that the number of illnesses caused by
mosquito, tick, and flea bites has tripled in the United States over
the last 13 years, CBS reported.

It’s
of particular interest to express that a mosquito-borne virus that
causes brain swelling and can be fatal in humans was recently
detected in Florida, according to the Florida
Department of Health in
Orange County. It may be a coincidence, but the research by Yale
indicates that it may not be, but this was after Florida released GM
mosquitoes in 2017-2018.

After
being bitten by an infected mosquito, it takes four to 10 days to
develop symptoms of the Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus, according
to the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
In severe cases involving brain inflammation, symptoms start with the
sudden onset of headache, high fever, chills, and vomiting. The
infection can then progress, causing disorientation, seizures, and
coma, Yahoo
News reported.

If
that’s not enough, in 2018, the first reported mosquito-borne
disease called the Keystone virus was thought only to be transmitted
to animals, but jumped to infect humans according to doctors.

Where
there have been negative results, there have also been positive
results achieved by
researchers at London’s Imperial College using “gene drive”
technology to successfully eradicate a whole population of
malaria-carrying mosquitoes in their lab by making the insects
infertile.

However,
as Hellen Wallace wrote in Scientific
American in
2011, “the release of genetically modified (GM) insects should
follow a precautionary approach, because what appears well understood
in the lab can have unintended consequences when released on a large
scale into the environment.”

It’s
worth noting that this isn’t the first time that GM mosquitoes has
come into question in Brazil. In 2016, the Mirror reported in
a brave headline: “Was Zika outbreak caused by release of
genetically modified mosquitoes in Brazil?”

The Mirror wrote
the following that mirrors Yale’s study.

The
Aedes aegypti mosquito sub-species that carries both the Zika virus
and dengue was the type targeted with genetically modified
mosquitoes.

The
aim was to release only male Aedes mosquitoes into the wild and they
would in turn produce offspring with their virus carrying female
counterparts.

This
offspring would then die off before breeding again due to the GM
coding in their genes.

Ironically,
the Mirror further
noted that the first cases of Zika were seen in Brazil in 2016 with
“up to 1.5 million people thought to be affected by the virus”
after the first GM experiment.

Perhaps

entomological warfare in the form of ticks or other insects that
caused the spread of Lyme disease. So what’s stopping anyone from
maliciously genetically modifying the ticks’ cousin mosquitoes as a
bioweapon? Not much.

If
you are concerned about being bitten by mosquitoes, the CDC
recommends to avoid being bitten you should wear long-sleeved shirts
and trousers, stay in places with air conditioning or that use window
and door screens, use insect repellents approved by the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), and treat your clothing with an insecticide.

BlackRock investeert in vernieling Amazonewoud, BlackRock ook verantwoordelijk voor suïcides door microkredietnemers

Eén van de smerigste banken ter wereld, BlackRock investeert in de vernieling van het Amazonewoud, zij financieren boeren en anderen die het Amazonewoud willen exploiteren voor financieel gewin……. Voor dat geldelijk gewin worden nog steeds oorspronkelijke bewoners vermoord, ofwel er komt voor deze mensen geen eind aan de genocide die een paar honderd jaar geleden begon…..

Met deze zaak wordt ten overvloede ook nog eens aangetoond dat het hele microkrediet gedoe een doodlopende weg is en voor veel van de kredietnemers is dat letterlijk op te vatten….. Kredietnemers worden gedwongen meer te lenen om daarmee anderen uit de armoede te trekken, echter de grote meerderheid van microkredietnemers loopt daarop juist financieel vast…… Al is vanaf het begin van het microkrediet gebeuren al duidelijk dat een groot deel van de kredietnemers te hoge leningen kregen, leningen die ze bij enige tegenslag nooit meer terug kunnen betalen en die deze mensen richting suïcide hebben geleid en leiden…… De werkelijke opbrengsten van microkredieten komen voor het overgrote deel ten goede komt aan de rijke westerse investeerders als BlackRock en hun aandeelhouders……..

Schandalig dat men in het westen de vernieling van het Amazonewoud financiert en dan een grote bek opzetten als een groot deel van het Amazonewoud brandt…. Zo schandalig als reclame maken voor investeringen in microkredieten, waarbij men de investeerders dikke winsten belooft, winsten waarvan de kredietnemers alleen maar kunnen dromen……. (al wordt er nog wel bij vermeld dat resultaten uit het verleden geen garantie zijn voor toekomstige winsten….)

one of the largest investors in Brazil’s agribusiness industry,
BlackRock could use its financial clout to curb, not encourage,
further forest destruction. It must divest from companies that
continue these horrendous practices.

durfde afgelopen vrijdag te stellen het niet alleen hartbrekend te vinden
dat er zoveel gebied van het Amazone regenwoud in brand staat, maar
dat dit ook een internationale crisis is…….

De neoliberale hufter Johnson onderhoudt al jaren goede banden met fascist
Bolsonaro, Johnson zelf is NB ook een klimaatscepticus en een politicus die ondernemen veel belangrijker vindt dan de natuur te beschermen, natuur waar bedrijven of boeren commerciële activiteiten willen ontplooien…… Waar was
Johnson met zijn protest toen Bolsonaro aankondigde niet langer het
Amazonegebied te willen beschermen (bescherming die overigens niet of amper werkte)
en het uiterst belangrijke natuurgebied voor de hele aarde open te zetten voor commerciële activiteiten, dus voor
veeboeren, sojateelt, mijnbouw en houtwinning. Niet alleen zei Bolsonaro
destijds dat het niet nodig was om commerciële ontwikkeling van het
gebied tegen te gaan, maar ook dat dit het westen verder niets
aanging, daar er onmiddellijk commentaar kwam op zijn uitspraken van westerse
wetenschappers, ngo’s en zelfs van een enkele (hypocriete)
politicus…….

Het voorgaande toont teven het misdadige karakter aan van klimaatsceptici, immers niet alleen is er een uiterst snelle klimaatverandering gaande, waarover zelfs Shell en Exxon eerder concludeerden dat deze is en wordt veroorzaakt door verbranding van fossiele brandstoffen, maar jaarlijks sterven er ook nog eens een paar miljoen mensen aan luchtverontreiniging, alleen in Nederland zijn er jaarlijks 18.000 mensen die vroegtijdig, na een akelig ziekbed, overlijden aan langdurige inademing van auto-uitstoot!! (ter vergelijking: aan roken zouden in dezelfde tijd 20.000 mensen sterven aan longkanker en andere kankers)



Het sinds een paar dagen wel handelen op de bosbranden door Bolsonaro is dan ook alleen ingegeven door de angst niet alleen Duitse subsidies mis te lopen, maar van een groot aantal andere landen, bovendien zijn er steden in Brazilië, gelegen op honderden kilometers afstand van de bosbranden, waar men amper een hand voor ogen kan zien en waar de rook de mensen de adem afsnijdt…..

 

Een
volgeling van Bolsonaro durfde afgelopen week in verdediging van deze
fascist nog te zeggen dat Brazilië recht heeft om desnoods het hele
Amazonewoud te exploiteren, waarbij hij ‘westerse landen in Europa
vroeg’ wie er nog oerbossen op zijn/haar grondgebied heeft……
Ofwel wat jullie in het verleden hebben gedaan, daar hebben wij
alsnog recht op…….. Deze hufter vergat even dat het westen de
bossen al een paar eeuwen geleden heeft gesloopt in de jacht op
koloniën en voor het voeren van onderlinge oorlogen…… Zo werd het gebied dat nu Brazilië wordt genoemd, in
feite is ontdekt (lees: gestolen) juist door westerlingen uit Europa
die daarvoor hun bossen sloopten, Bolsonaro is NB een
afstammeling van Europeanen……..

Deze
crisis toont eens te meer aan dat afzonderlijke landen wel degelijk
een verantwoording hebben naar de rest van de wereld, immers als het
Amazonewoud zou verdwijnen is de milieuramp compleet, waar we nu al
het klimaatkantelpunt zijn gepasseerd….* Vergeet voorts het volgende niet: ‘Halve graad opwarming van de aarde zal 150 miljoen mensen het leven kosten……‘. Je zal begrijpen dat met deze bosbranden en de andere enorme bosbranden op de rest van de wereld, zoals in Siberië, Alaska en Indonesië de klimaatverandering extra hard wordt aangejaagd…… 

Johnson
is goed bevriend met een fiks aantal klimaatsceptici, de viezerik
denkt zeker dat hij met zijn gespeelde bezorgde praatjes nog mensen
kan trekken voor het moment dat GB echt niet meer uit kan onder
nieuwe verkiezingen……..

As devastating fires continue to rage across the Amazon rainforest, Boris Johnson wants us to think he cares about this “heartbreaking” and “international crisis”. But he’s actually hit peak hypocrisy. Because both he and the Conservatives play roles in this environmental disaster.


Crisis

On
23 August, Johnson quite rightly pointed out the significance of
these fires:

“crisis”.

Canary reported,
Brazil’s far-right president Jair
Bolsonaro has
opened the Amazon up to more ‘development and economic
opportunities’. This, it’s widely thought, plays a significant
role in the current fires. As openDemocracy revealed 
Bolsonaro’s right-wing government plans to “strategically occupy
the Amazon region” and prevent key rainforest conservation
projects. This ‘occupation’ has shattered indigenous
people’s land claims and also boosted the Brazilian beef industry.
A growing
player in
the UK market, it also allegedly carries
out illegal
deforestation.     

As
a Brazil-based writer pointed out, Johnson’s party has supported
Bolsonaro for some time:

Jeremy Hunt and Johnson both received £25,000 donations from First
Corporate Shipping. This company’s co-owned by Terence Mordaunt and
Sir David Ord.

And
Mordaunt’s also:

a
director of the Global Warming Policy Forum, the advocacy arm of the
climate sceptic Global Warming Policy Foundation. The group has been
accused of “giving
a platform to fringe climate science deniers”
and getting “credibility within the political world through its
high-profile Westminster connections.”

And
as DeSmog also noted,
in 2018, Johnson went:

on
an all-expenses-paid trip to the US to speak at
a black tie dinner organised by the American
Enterprise Institute,
a Koch-funded free-market thinktank that has lobbied hard against
climate action in the US.

Environmental
champion?

Johnson’s voting
record shows
that he’s consistently voted against legislation to tackle the
current climate
breakdown.

Former
government chief scientist Prof David King also criticised Johnson’s
track record as foreign secretary. As King told the Guardian, Johnson
oversaw:

“devastating”
cuts in efforts to tackle the climate crisis when he was foreign
secretary and then wanted to hush them up.

According to
King, “Johnson’s term in office coincided with a 60% cut in his
team of climate attaches across the world from 165 to just 65”.

In
2015, Johnson wrote a Telegraph column headlined:
“I can’t stand this December heat, but it has nothing to do with
global warming”. He went on to praise Jeremy Corbyn’s brother
Piers who’s a notorious climate
science denier, writing:

In
the view of Piers and his colleagues at WeatherAction, it is all
about sun spots…

Whatever
is happening to the weather at the moment, he said, it is nothing to
do with the conventional doctrine of climate change.

And
now Johnson wants us to think he cares about the current crisis. It’s
vital to remember just how significant these Amazon fires truly are:

Westers imperialisme op retour: VS ‘regime change motor’ loopt vast

Vltchek schreef op New Eastern Outlook >> NEO (door mij overgenomen
van Information Clearing House) een artikel over het westers
imperialisme dat wat betreft het omverwerpen van regimes steeds minder lijkt te werken. Ondanks alle miljarden die de VS steekt in het omverwerpen van
een regime*, lukt dit niet meer, zie de mislukte agressie, of beter
gezegd terreur tegen Syrië, Venezuela, Iran en Noord-Korea. Daarnaast
hebben de VS en haar oorlogshond de NAVO China en Rusland in het
vizier, echter daar een verandering van regime bewerkstelligen is
onmogelijk zonder het atoomwapen te gebruiken…….

Zelfs de
sancties die de VS (en veelal de EU-NAVO-lidstaten) tegen voornoemde
landen heeft genomen, zijn niet langer het recept tot verandering van
de regimes in die landen, dit ondanks het overlijden van een enorm
aantal mensen en dan m.n. de ouderen, kinderen en het zwakke deel van
de bevolking…… Zo hebben VS sancties tegen Venezuela intussen al
aan meer dan 40.000 mensen het leven gekost (vermoord door de VS, met hulp van
de EU en dus ook van Nederland….). Een ouder voorbeeld zijn de
sancties die de VS nam tegen Irak, ingesteld tegen het eind van de
jaren 90 in de vorige eeuw, daardoor overleden er 500.000 kinderen,
verantwoordelijk VS minister van BuZa hare kwaadaardigheid en
oorlogsmisdadiger Albright (onder opperschoft Bill Clinton) vindt nog
steeds dat dit ‘offer’ gerechtvaardigd was…….

Vltchek
stelt dat het nog niet is afgelopen wat betreft westers imperialisme,
maar dat e.e.a op z’n retour is, kan je meer dan duidelijk zien, neem Syrië, Iran en niet te vergeten Venezuela…. Dit ondanks alle tamtam, terreursancties en georganiseerde protesten (maar al te vaak uiterst gewelddadig….)
door meestal de CIA met het VS ministerie van BuZa aan de touwen

Mooi
artikel, al denk ik kijkend naar bijvoorbeeld Honduras en Colombia, dat de VS daar de touwtjes behoorlijk strak in handen heeft en al helemaal in een land als Brazilië met de fascistische Trump lakei
Bolsonaro, hetzelfde geldt voor Oekraïne…….. En gezien het enorme aantal militaire bases van de VS over de wereld (meer dan 800!!), die
voor kleine landen een fikse stimulans zijn voor de (veelal tanende) economie, zullen velen
niet durven opstaan tegen deze voor het land voordelige zaak, waarmee inkomsten gegenereerd worden voor zaken als infrastructuur en volksgezondheid
(al verdwijnt er ongelofelijk veel geld in de zakken van corrupte
politici en van ambtenaren, precies het soort figuren waar de VS het van moet hebben……) 

Het nadeel van het voorgaande ondervinden de bevolkingen tegen wie bij demonstraties ook VS militairen kunnen worden ingezet en het niet toestaan door de VS dat regeringen in die landen zich al te zeer gaan afzetten tegen de VS…… Maar toch is een opstand als in Soedan hoopgevend en
ondanks weinig aandacht voor deze opstand in de reguliere westerse
media, zou het volk toch langzaam weer macht op het leger
winnen…….

Vltchek wijst in zijn artikel ook op de reguliere westerse media, waar men voortdurend bezig is om landen als China en Rusland zwart te maken en te demoniseren, waar deze media het blijkbaar normaal vinden dat de VS alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 22,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord (veelal met hulp van NAVO-lidstaten, onder militair opperbevel van de VS), alsof dat de normaalste gang van zaken is……..

West is Failing to Overthrow “Regimes”

Clearing House” –  It used to be done regularly
and it worked: The West identified a country as its enemy, unleashed
its professional propaganda against it, then administered a series of
sanctions, starving and murdering children, the elderly and other
vulnerable groups. If the country did not collapse within months or
just couple of years, the bombing would begin. And the nation,
totally shaken, in pain, and in disarray, would collapse like a house
of cards, once the first NATO boots hit its ground.

Such
scenarios were re-enacted, again and again, from Yugoslavia to Iraq.

But
suddenly, something significant has happened. This horrific
lawlessness, this chaos stopped; was deterred.

The
West keeps using the same tactics, it tries to terrorize
independent-minded countries, to frighten people into submission, to
overthrow what it defines as ‘regimes’, but its power, its
monstrously destructive power has all of a sudden become ineffective.

It
hits, and the attacked nation shakes, screams, sheds blood, but keeps
standing, keeps proudly erect.

What
we are experiencing is a great moment in human history. Imperialism
has not yet been defeated, but it is losing its global grip on power.

Now
we have to clearly understand ‘Why?’, so we can continue our
struggle, with even greater determination, with even greater
effectiveness.

First
of all, by now we know that the West cannot fight. It can spend
trillions on ‘defense’, it can build nuclear bombs, ‘smart
missiles’ and strategic warplanes. But it is too cowardly, too
spoiled to risk the lives of its soldiers. It either kills remotely,
or by using regional mercenaries. Whenever it becomes clear that the
presence of its troops would be required, it backs up.

Secondly,
it, the West, is totally horrified of the fact that there are now two
super-powerful countries – China and Russia – which are unwilling
to abandon their allies. Washington and London do all they can to
smear Russia and to intimidate China. Russia is being provoked
continuously: by propaganda, by military bases, sanctions and by new
and newer bizarre mass media inventions that depict it as the villain
in all imaginable circumstances. China has been provoked practically
and insanely, ‘on all fronts’ – from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet
and the so-called ‘Uyghur Issue’, to trade.

Any
strategy that could weaken these two countries, is applied. Yet,
Russia and China do not crumble. They do not surrender. And they do
not abandon their friends. Instead, they are building great railroads
in Africa and Asia, they educate people from almost all poor and
desperate countries, and stand by those who are being terrorized by
both North America and Europe.

Thirdly,
all the countries in the world are now clearly aware of what would
happen to them, if they give up and get ‘liberated’ by the
Western empire. Iraq, Honduras, Indonesia, Libya and Afghanistan, are
the ‘best’ examples. Submitting themselves to the West, countries
can only expect misery, absolute collapse and the ruthless extraction
of their resources. The poorest country in Asia – Afghanistan –
has totally collapsed under NATO occupation.

The
suffering and pain of the Afghan and Iraqi people is very well known
to the citizens of Iran and Venezuela. They are not giving up,
because no matter how tough their life is under sanctions and the
West-administered terror, they are well-aware of the fact that things
could get worse, much worse, if their countries were to be occupied
and governed by the Washington and London-injected maniacs.

And
everyone knows the fate of the people living in Palestine or Gollan
Heights, places which have been overrun by the closest ally of the
West in the Middle East, Israel.

Of
course, there are other reasons why the West cannot get any of its
adversaries to kneel.

One
is – that the toughest ones are left. Russia, Cuba, China, North
Korea (DPRK), Iran, Syria and Venezuela are not going to run away
from the battlefield. These are the most determined nations on earth.
These are the countries that have already lost thousands, millions,
even tens of millions of their people, in the fight against Western
imperialism and colonialism.

If
one is following the latest attacks of the West carefully, the
scenario is pathetic, almost grotesque: Washington and often the EU,
too, are trying hard; they are hitting, they are spending billions of
dollars, using the local mercenaries (or call it ‘local
opposition’), and then they quickly withdraw after wretched but
anticipated defeat. So far, Venezuela has survived. Syria survived.
Iran survived. China is fighting horrible Western-backed subversions,
but it is proudly surviving. Russia is standing tall.

This
is a tremendous moment in human history. For the first time, Western
imperialism is being not only defeated, but fully unveiled and
humiliated. Many are now laughing at it, openly.

But
we should not celebrate, yet. We should understand what and why this
is happening, and then continue fighting. There are many, many
battles ahead us. But we are on the right track.

Let
them try. We know how to fight. We know how to prevail. We have
already fought fascism, in many of its forms. We know what freedom
is. Their ‘freedom’ is not our freedom. Their ‘liberty’ is
not our liberty. What they call ‘democracy’ is not how we want
our people to rule and to be ruled. Let them go away; we, our people,
do not want them!

They
cannot overthrow our systems, because they are, precisely our
systems!
Systems that we want, that our people want; systems we are ready to
fight and die for!

Bolsonaro stelde het al in zijn verkiezingscampagne, wat hem betreft worden de longen van de wereld vernietigd, ofwel vrijbaan voor commerciële activiteiten in het Amazonewoud…….

Fascist Bolsonaro is sinds 1 januari dit jaar aan het bewind en het aantal bosbranden in het Amazonewoud is in die tijd tijd gestegen tot 74.155, een stijging met 84%….. NASA stelt dat het aantal branden en de daarmee gepaard gaande CO2 uitstoot in 2016 hoger was, echter het ‘bosbrandseizoen’ in Brazilië is nog maar net begonnen……. Je behoeft geen wetenschapper te zijn om te bedenken dat dit samen met alle andere bosbranden wereldwijd, de klimaatverandering onevenredig hard aanjaagt, niet in de laatste plaats door het vrijkomen van CO2 en methaangas, waar de laatste één van de sterkste broeikasgassen op onze kleine aarde is…. Ook in Indonesië worden jaarlijks grote gebieden met oerwoud in brand gestoken…..* (om over de geproduceerde luchtvervuiling door die branden nog maar te zwijgen……)

BNR’s ‘buitenlanddeskundige’, Bernard Hammelburg zei vanmorgen op die zender dat er niets veranderd is wat betreft het aantal bosbranden in Brazilië, volgens deze levende oliebol dus veel tamtam om niets……

Bolsonaro heeft het gore lef om te stellen dat ngo’s de branden hebben aangestoken, terwijl hij zoals gezegd zelf al bij de verkiezingen aangaf het Amazonewoud open te willen stellen voor commerciële activiteiten, waarbij hij stelde dat het een zaak van Brazilië is en dat het geen probleem is als het grootste deel van het Amazonewoud in Brazilië zou verdwijnen………

Uiteraard zijn de oorspronkelijke volkeren die in het Amazonewoud leven nu helemaal de klos, eerder werden ze al op fikse schaal uitgemoord door investeerders en boeren die stukken oerwoud kapten voor hout of in brand staken om daar bijvoorbeeld soja te telen…….

Benieuwd of Nederland Brazilië nog steeds steunt ondanks het fascistische bewind, het zou me alweer niet verbazen, immers: ‘Geld geht über alles…….’

Vergeet voorts niet: ‘Halve graad opwarming van de aarde zal 150 miljoen mensen het leven kosten……‘

Philips wist al in 2010 van omkopingsschandaal bij Braziliaanse dochter Dixtal

Philips
wist al in 2010 dat haar Braziliaanse dochter van het bedrijf,
genaamd Dixtal, schuldig was aan omkoping. Ondanks dat Philips op de
hoogte was van dat schandaal, ondernam het bedrijf geen actie, de
werknemer die hier de klok over luidde werd ontslagen door
Dixtal……

De
bewuste klokkenluider had sterke vermoedens dat een tussenpersoon
steekpenningen had betaald voor het binnenslepen van minstens 3
opdrachten…… De klokkenluider waarschuwde zelfs Steve Rusckowski,
destijds de topman van Philips Healthcare…….

Philips
geeft toe dat het in 2010 ‘anoniem’ is gewaarschuwd voor deze
misdadige gang van zaken, echter men kon bij onderzoek ‘geen direct
bewijs van overtredingen’ vinden…… ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een stel
oplichters!!

Volgens
Philips zijn na dit omkopingsschandaal de regels aangescherpt….’
ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ofwel Philips kon geen onregelmatigheden, laat staan een schandaal vinden en heeft desondanks de regels aangescherpt…….. Hoe totaal ongeloofwaardig kan je zijn??!!!

De
hoogste tijd dat men bedrijven als Philips ondersteboven keert om te
zien hoe men opdrachten binnenkrijgt….. Een paar jaar geleden werd
Philips Healthcare al betrapt bij omkoping van Poolse bestuurders
voor ziekenhuisapparatuur…… Overigens werd Siemens eerder al
betrapt op omkoping van autoriteiten voor orders van
ziekenhuisapparatuur…….. Daarover gesproken: de Braziliaanse
justitie verdenkt ook andere leveranciers van medische apparatuur van
omkoping voor het binnenhalen van contracten……

Het gaat
hier om medische apparatuur, die een fikse kostenpost
zijn voor de gezondheidszorgbudgetten. Blijkbaar kunnen de leveranciers fikse
bedragen toespelen als het om het sluiten van een contract gaat,
ofwel de medische apparatuur wordt ver boven de kostprijs verkocht en
dan stelt onze overheid dat we meer prijsbewust met de gezondheidszorg
moeten omgaan…….. Intussen betalen we ons scheel voor de zorg, waar de farmaceutische maffia en leveranciers van medische apparatuur winsten behalen, waarvan men eerder zelfs niet heeft durven dromen……

AMSTERDAM
(AFN) – Medisch technologiebedrijf Philips wist al jaren van dubieuze
verkopen aan de Braziliaanse regering voordat vorig jaar een
omkopingsschandaal bij zijn Braziliaanse tak aan het licht kwam. Dat
schrijft persbureau Reuters dat interne e-mails inzag die door de
Braziliaanse aanklagers als bewijs worden ingediend. De werknemer die
de zaak in 2010 aankaartte werd later ontslagen.

Een
bij Philips-dochter Dixtal werkzame klokkenluider merkte in 2010
onregelmatigheden op bij drie overheidsopdrachten voor producten van
Philips en Dixtal via een obscure tussenpersoon. Hij vermoedde dat
die tussenpersoon steekpenningen had gebruikt om overheidscontracten
in de wacht te slepen en trok intern aan de bel. De klokkenluider
mailde onder andere met toenmalig baas van Philips Healthcare Steve
Rusckowski over zijn vermoedens. Ondanks de waarschuwingen zette
Philips de deals gewoon door.

Midden
vorig jaar deed de Braziliaanse justitie een inval bij Philips. Ook
andere medische bedrijven worden verdacht van het betalen van
steekpenningen om lucratieve overheidscontracten in de wacht te
slepen.

Philips
liet in een reactie weten in 2010 een “anonieme klacht” te
hebben ontvangen en die te hebben onderzocht. Volgens het bedrijf
kwam daarbij “niet direct bewijs van overtredingen” boven
water. Wel heeft Philips daarna de interne regels aangescherpt. Het
medisch technologiebedrijf stelt verder mee te werken met de
Braziliaanse autoriteiten.

Bolsonaro (pres. Brazilië) bedreigt journalist Glenn Greenwald met gevangenisstraf vanwege publiceren gelekte gesprekken

De
Braziliaanse president Bolsonaro is flink ‘over de rooie’ vanwege het
‘Lava Jato lek’ gepubliceerd op The Intercept, wat duidelijk aangeeft
dat hij Brazilië in de richting stuurt van een dictatoriale staat……

Vooral Glenn
Greenwald, de belangrijkste journalist van The Intercept, ligt onder het fascistische vuur van Bolsonaro en zijn corrupte
ultrarechtse kliek…..

‘Car
Wash’ ofwel ‘Lava Jato’, een onderzoek naar politieke corruptie begon
in 2014 en was bedoeld om deze corruptie openbaar te maken en
strafrechtelijk aan te pakken, ongeacht politieke kleur.

In juni
2019 begon The Intercept met publicaties van gesprekken die tijdens het
onderzoek werden gevoerd tussen de hoofdrolspelers, de zogenaamde
onafhankelijke rechter Sérgio Moro, die overleg voert met openbare
aanklagers (als onze officieren van justitie) om Lula da Silva
gevangen te zetten en zo de kans te verkleinen dat zijn partij PT
(arbeiders partij) de verkiezingen zou kunnen winnen…. Zoals we
weten is dat gelukt en heeft zijne fascistische kwaadaardigheid
Bolsonaro de verkiezingen gewonnen…….

Als
beloning werd rechter Moro benoemd tot minister van justitie…….
Niet vreemd dus dat Bolsonaro woedend is over het lekken van de
gevoerde gesprekken, bovendien zet e.e.a. grote vraagtekens bij de
wettigheid van Bolsonaro’s presidentschap…… (immers hij is
middels smerige malversaties aan het bewind gekomen)

Begin
Juli kwam Moro met een decreet tegen ‘gevaarlijke buitenlanders’,
niet moeilijk te bedenken wie Moro daar mee bedoelt, juist:
Glenn Greenwald!! Bolsonaro heeft Greenwald de laatste week bedreigd
en verder gesteld dat hij kan worden veroordeeld tot
gevangenisstraf…. Om nog wat meer haar tegen Greenwald te zaaien,
heeft Bolsonaro gezegd dat Greenwald door een huwelijk deportatie
heeft voorkomen, Greenwald woont al meer dan 10 jaar in Brazilië en is
nu Braziliaans staatsburger…..

Een
journalist die Bolsonaro’s perschef vroeg welke misdaad Greenwald
dan heeft begaan kreeg geen antwoord, de psychopaat keek na een aantal niet ter zake doende woorden alleen op
een intimiderende manier naar de bewuste journalist, Guilherme Mazieiro……

Intussen
krijgt het gezin van Greenwald de ene doodsbedreiging na de
andere…..

The
Intercept heeft geweigerd de bron van de gesprekken weer te geven en
stelt dat de berichtgeving van groot publieke belang is en daar is zoals je zal begrijpen geen speld tussen te krijgen!! The Intercept stelt dan ook dat het
niet onwettig heeft gehandeld.

Op 30
juli sprak Greenwald een grote groep journalisten, activisten en
musici toe, die steun betuigden aan The Intercept en stelde dat hij
het niet toe zal staan dat het land van zijn kinderen verandert in een
dictatuur….. Groot applaus, echter ik vrees dat Greenwald hier
weinig of niets tegen kan doen, vergeet niet dat Brazilië in het
verleden meermaals fascistisch is bestuurd……. Zelfs Tucker Carlson
van Fox News heeft afwezig zijn steun betuigd aan The Intercept,
terwijl hij bepaald geen vriend is van Greenwald.

De
tactiek van Bolsonaro’s kliek is duidelijk: demoniseer en
criminaliseer de boodschapper om zo de berichtgeving weg te houden
van het crimineel handelen door Bolsonaro, justitie en de
rechterlijke macht….*

furious response to the Intercept‘s damning ‘Lava
Jato‘ leaks has
signalled the country’s further descent into authoritarianism. And
journalists face the threat of jail time as a result.

The
leaks

Brazil’s
massive corruption probe – Operation
Car Wash (Lava
Jato)
– began in 2014. The Car Wash team insisted “that
their only consideration was to expose and punish political
corruption irrespective of party or political faction” in Brazil.
But in June 2019, the Intercept began publishing leaked
conversations of officials involved in the probe. The
messages revealed that
the supposedly neutral judge, Sérgio Moro, worked together with
various Brazilian prosecutors to jail presidential front-runner Luis
Inácio Lula da Silva, and prevent his
Workers’ Party (PT) from securing election victory.

After
winning the election in October 2018, Bolsonaro employed Moro
– the man who jailed Lula – as his justice
minister.
The latest leaks are thus deeply embarrassing for the Brazilian
government. In fact, they call into serious question the legitimacy
of Bolsonaro’s presidency.

Furious
response

After
a brief leave
of absence in
early July, Moro returned to work to issue a new decree
against “dangerous foreigners”. Ominously named ‘decree number
666’, it is understood as
a thinly veiled threat against Intercept co-founder
and editor Glenn
Greenwald –
a US citizen who has lived in Brazil for over a decade.

Bolsonaro,
not shy of revealing his fascistic
tendencies,
has also threatened Greenwald over the past week. On 27 July, he said
Greenwald could “do
jail time” and suggested “that he had married a Brazilian citizen
to avoid deportation”.

In
a press conference on 30 July, meanwhile, one journalist challenged
Bolsonaro’s press secretary General Otávio Rêgo Barros to explain
what crime Greenwald was guilty of. His refusal to give any
meaningful answer was chilling:

Greenwald,
his family, and the Intercept team

The
Brazilian federal police, meanwhile, have arrested four
people accused of involvement in the leaks.

“Classic
public interest journalism”

While
refusing to reveal its source/s, the Intercept has
responded to the Brazilian government’s threats, defending their
reporting as “classic public interest journalism”. Its
journalists added:

“The
public interest in reporting this material has been obvious from the
start. These documents revealed serious, systematic, and sustained
improprieties and possible illegality”

For
this reason, the Intercept claims
its reporting is legal under
the Brazilian constitution.

On
30 July, Greenwald spoke to a packed crowd of journalists, activists,
and musicians gathered in solidarity with the Intercept.
To rapturous applause, Greenwald said:

“I
am not going to let the country of my children turn into a
dictatorship”.

Those
who couldn’t attend the events in Brazil – including author Naomi
Klein and even Fox
News‘s
Tucker Carlson – also sent messages
of support.

The
Brazilian government’s strategy in response to the leaks is clear:
demonise and criminalise the messenger to shift the focus from the
message.

Greenwald
and the Intercept deserve
international solidarity.

Een
vrouw wist beveiligers te omzeilen en rende het podium op waar
anti-homopriester Marcello Rossi vooral veel met geheven rechterarm
popiejopie stond te doen. Met een ferme duw schoof ze deze
haatzaaiende schoft van het podium, terwijl 50.000 katholieken ‘vol
ongeloof’ (ha! ha!) stonden te kijken.

De video
van het voorval werd een ongelofelijk aantal keren bekeken en men
speculeerde over wat de 32 jarige vrouw bezielde. Zo werd als reden aangenomen dat deze
priester, tevens ‘pop(i) muzikant’, tekeer gaat tegen
homo’s…… Ondanks dat paus Franciscus dit verboden zou hebben, wordt nog wekelijks haat tegen homo’s gepredikt van de rk-kansels in vooral arme landen…….

Franciscus
heeft het dan ‘ook niet’ verboden: terwijl hij in en vliegtuig populair zat te doen
met journalisten, leek het even dat hij homo’s geheel accepteerde,
maar dat is niet zo, immers hoe kan je homoseksuelen en anderen die onder de noemer LGBT vallen, accepteren en tegelijk zeggen dat ze hun seksualiteit niet
mogen volgen, of zoals hij dat noemt ‘praktiseren….’ Het gaat NB om
seks hebben met een partner, iets waar rk priesters al geen reet van begrijpen, ze
verwarren seks met geweld, zoals wel blijkt uit het enorme grote
aantal kinderen dat in de loop van de jaren (reken maar gerust zelfs
eeuwen) werd misbruikt door deze seksueel gefrustreerde katholieke
beesten……. 

Reken maar gerust dat dit misbruik van kinderen door rk ‘geestelijken’ nog lang niet is afgelopen en doorgaat tot op de dag van vandaag (vooral in arme landen)…… Tja wat wil je met het meer dan achterlijke en belachelijke celibaat waar rk ‘geestelijken’ zich aan moeten houden (zo kweek je seksueel gefrustreerden…), iets waar de paus niets aan wenst te doen……

Zoals gezegd, nog steeds zetten rk priesters het volk op: tegen homo’s en andere LGBT mensen, maar ook tegen anticonceptie, tegen abortus en tegen euthanasie…… Met het verbod op anticonceptie en abortus zijn de
leiding van de rk kerk en haar priesters verantwoordelijk voor een enorme
massamoord, immers in arme landen sterven nog steeds dagelijks
honderden mensen aan aids* en sterven vrouwen in het kraambed……. Ook worden homo’s niet zelden
vermoord in die landen als gevolg van het hiervoor aangehaalde haatzaaien door rk priesters tegen LGBT mensen.

Terug
naar de reden om Rossi van het podium te duwen: anderen zeggen dat

De vrouw
wordt als gestoord weggezet, één ding is zeker ze had er flink
plezier in gezien haar grote grijns! En terecht! Wie is er werkelijk gek in deze: een priester die in een zaak gelooft die nooit is bewezen en nooit bewezen kan worden, waar deze anderen zijn wil oplegt en waarbij deze kwaadaardige gek ook nog eens haatzaait, of een vrouw die deze machtsmisbruiker het woord ontneemt??

Woman Shoves Anti-Gay Priest Off a Stage

(TMU) —
Video of a woman shoving a Brazilian priest off a stage has gone
viral, with many speculating about the motive for the sudden attack.

The
priest, Father Marcello Rossi of the Roman Catholic Church, is famous
among Brazilians for his prolific online presence, where he
broadcasts his religious sermons. He is also a musician who has
reportedly sold millions of musical albums in Latin America, earning
himself the title “pop-star priest” from Associated
Press.

In
the video, a woman—who remains unidentified—can be seen running
past security before pushing Father Rossi off the stage as over
50,000 people gathered for the closing ceremony of mass in the Canção
Nova Catholic community of Cachoeira Paulista, São Paulo. During the
attack, the woman can be seen wearing a broad smile.

Despite
a seemingly violent fall, the priest was not seriously injured and
quickly returned to the stage before completing his sermon.

Brazilian
news magazine Veja reported
that Rossi referenced the attack after returning the stage, according
to Newsweek. Rossi
said:

“It
hurt, but pay close attention. I was just going to talk about pain
but I did not imagine it was going to be like this.”

Brazilian
news website G1 reported that
the unnamed 32-year-old woman had traveled to the event from Rio de
Janeiro. Police believe that she may suffer from a mental illness
such as bipolar disorder, and has given contradictory explanations as
to her intentions. Rossi has not yet pressed charges.

Footage
of the attack quickly went viral, with many speculating as to the
motive of the woman’s attack—with some online users seemingly
fabricating her reason for launching the attack.

In
one viral
Facebook video,
the attack was attributed to the priest having said “fat
women can’t get into heaven.”
The video’s caption has since been edited to remove the accusation
of fat-shaming.

In
web posts from the LGBTQ+ community, some online users speculated
that the priest was shoved off the stage due to his infamous history
of agitating against gay people.

As Queerty notes:

“Rossi
has made numerous anti-gay statements throughout his career. In
November 1998, he
said, ‘A
lot of ideas will change the day homosexuality is proven to be an
illness.’ In a
2014 interview,
he said, ‘Sex between man causes pain, if something causes pain, it
can’t be a good thing.’ He has also opposed
same-sex marriage because,
‘The word of God is clear that man and woman were created to unite
and bear fruit.’”

However,
there has been no indication that there was any motive behind the
attack.

In
a brief statement, Canção Nova noted its regret over the incident
and said:

“The
priest is well. He was attended by the medical staff at the event and
presided over the celebration to the end.”
