Twitter weert waarheid: Paul Craig Roberts in de ban, Roberts >> de grote criticus van de illegale oorlogen die de VS voert

Verdomd
of je het hebt over de pausen in de Middeleeuwen die naar eigen
goeddunken belangrijke figuren in de ban deden, als ze ook maar een
millimeter afweken van wat de kerk voorschreef, of de belangen van de paus niet behartigden, zo gaat Twitter om
met haar gebruikers……..

Paul
Craig Roberts, econoom, anti-oorlog opiniemaker en voormalig
assistent van de minister van financiën onder het bewind van namaak ‘cojboj’ Reagan, is door Twitter in de ban gedaan…. Nooit heeft
Roberts in zijn tijd als opiniemaker/columnist een leugen gepubliceerd, dit in
tegenstelling tot de reguliere (massa-) media en toch worden niet die
media, maar mensen als Roberts in de ban gedaan…….

Roberts haalt overigens
steeds meer zijn gelijk met z’n stelling dat de ideologie van de
neoconservatieven, naar wie de reguliere (massa-) media en Twitter (en Facebook) de oren
laten hangen, steeds meer begint te lijken op de ideologie van
de nazi’s….. Jammer dat Roberts dit niet ook over de democraten
zegt, immers er is maar bitter weinig verschil tussen de democraten en
republikeinen als men aan het bewind is…….. Waar ik nog aan toe wil voegen dat het neoconservatisme m.i. niets anders is dan ijskoud, inhumaan neoliberalisme, de ideologie die door de meeste westerse landen (en ook door de democraten als zij in de VS aan de macht zijn) wordt bediend in het regeringsbeleid…….

Twitter
has suspended noted anti-war commentator, economist and former
Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, Paul Craig Roberts. 

The
suspension came without warning and was noted by journalist Caitlin
Johnstone and others Thursday evening:

Definitely suspended. Google links to @PaulCraigRoberts come up with this suspended notice.

Roberts,
79, served in the Reagan administration from 1981 to 1982. He was
formerly a distinguished fellow at the Cato Institute and a senior
research fellow at the Hoover Institution, and has written for
the Wall
Street Journal and Businessweek. Roberts maintains
an active
blog. 

He’s
also vehemently
against interventionary wars around the world,
and spoke with Russia’s state-owned Sputnik news
in a Tuesday article – in which Roberts said that President
Trump’s decision to pull out of the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces
(INF) treaty was a handout
to the military-security complex. 

The
former Reagan administration official clarified that he
does not think “that the military-security complex itself wants
a war with Russia, but it does want an enemy that can be
used to justify more spending.” 
He explained that the withdrawing from the INF Treaty “gives
the military-security complex a justification for a larger
budget and new money to spend: manufacturing the formerly banned
missiles.”

The
economist highlighted that “enormous
sums spent on ‘defense’ enabled the armaments corporations to control
election outcomes with campaign contributions,”
adding that in addition, “the military has bases and the
armaments corporations have factories in almost every state so that
the population, dependent on the jobs, support high amounts of
‘defense’ spending.”

was 57 years ago,” he underscored. “You can imagine how
much stronger the military-security complex is today.” –Sputnik

 

Roberts
also suggested that “The
Zionist Neoconservatives are responsible for Washington’s
unilateral abandonment of the INF treaty, just as they were
responsible for Washington’s unilateral abandonment of the
ABM Treaty [in 2002], the Iran nuclear agreement, and the promise not
to move NATO one inch to the East.” 

Is
this what got him suspended? 

Roberts
goes on to say that the ideology of US neoconservatives is “akin
to the German Nazy Party last century”
in their ideology of American supremacy and exceptionalism. 

“Their
over-confidence about their ability to quickly defeat
Israel’s enemies and open the Middle East to Israeli expansion
got the US bogged down in wars in the Middle East for 17
years … During
this time, both Russia and China rose much more quickly than the
neoconservatives thought possible.”

Dr.
Roberts opined that US policy makers are seeking to weaponize
the Russian opposition and “pro-Western elements” to exert
pressure on Moscow into “accommodating Washington in order
to have the sanctions removed.” On the other hand, the
Trump administration’s new arms race could force Russia into spending
more on defense, according to the author. –Sputnik

While
we don’t know if Roberts’ Sputnik interview resulted in his Twitter
ban 48 hours later, it’s entirely possible.

BBC bedient VS met het demoniseren van China

Er gaat de laatste weken praktisch geen dag voorbij of de BBC bericht negatief over China. De nieuwste negatieve berichtgeving gaat over de uitbreiding van opvoedingskampen voor extremistische Oeigoeren, moslims die in het westen van China wonen en die vergeleken met andere Chinezen worden gediscrimineerd.

Tot zover is er niets mis met deze constatering, althans als satellietfoto’s e.e.a. onomstotelijk tonen, zoals de BBC beweert (de discriminatie van de Oeigoeren zou buiten elke twijfel staan, hoewel dat moeilijk is te controleren vanuit het westen. Wel is zeker dat een aantal Oeigoeren naar voorbeeld van extremistische moslims in het Midden-Oosten, geweld gebruiken tegen de Chinese overheid en Chinese burgers die uit andere delen van China komen).

Vanmiddag in het BBC World Service radio na het nieuws van 12.00 u. (CET) het verhaal dat China Oeigoeren in Groot-Brittannië bespioneert en hen dreigt niet met de pers te spreken over de situatie in hun thuisland, daar de consequenties daarvan zal zijn dat hun familie in China de rekening zal betalen……. Bewijs voor die claim van de BBC: men heeft gesproken met zegge en schrijve 3 Oeigoeren die in GB wonen……

Het is overigens vrijwel zeker dat ook de CIA in het gebied van de Oeigoeren opereert en het volk opzet tegen de regering in Peking (Beijing), een door de VS veel gebruikte handelswijze en die het overal toepast waar men het liefst een ‘regime change’ zou willen zien….. (neem Irak, Libië en Oekraïne)

Kortom de zogenaamd onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde BBC bedient met de anti-Chinese propaganda, niet alleen het smerige buitenlandbeleid van de eigen regering, maar ook dat van de VS……….

Uiteraard is elk ‘opvoedingskamp’ er 1 teveel, laat staan de uitbreiding van die kampen (althans als het allemaal waar is)……

WOIII starten……

Report Points To US Preparations For Total War

Clearing House” –  Over
the past two weeks, with next to no media coverage, the United States
has moved substantially closer toward open military confrontation
with both Russia and China, the second- and third-ranked nuclear
powers in the world.

On
October 3, the United States threatened, for the first time since the
Cold War, to directly attack the Russian homeland. UN Ambassador to
NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison accused the country of violating the
Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty by developing a
nuclear cruise missile and said that Washington was preparing to
“take out” the weapon with a US strike.

This
statement came just three days after a Chinese warship set a
collision course with a US destroyer carrying out a so-called
“freedom of navigation” operation in the South China Sea, forcing
the American ship to maneuver to avoid a collision and the
potentially deadliest military clash in the Pacific in decades.

Behind
such hair-raising incidents, the United States is undertaking
serious, long-term preparations to restructure the American economy
to fight a major war with a “peer” adversary, entailing radical
changes to American economic, social and political life.

This
is the essential content of a 146-page document released by the
Pentagon last Friday, titled “Assessing and Strengthening the
Manufacturing and Defense Industrial Base and Supply Chain Resiliency
of the United States.” It makes it clear that Washington is
preparing not just for isolated regional clashes, but rather for a
massive, long-term war effort against Russia and China under
conditions of potential national autarchy.

The
document made clear that a major restructuring of the American
economy will be necessary to reach the United States military’s
stated goal of being prepared to “fight tonight” against a “peer
adversary.” The United States must “retool” for “great-power
competition,” the document declared.

“America’s
manufacturing and defense industrial base,” observes the report,
creates the “platform and systems” upon which “our Warfighter
depends.” This complex encompasses not just the government, but the
private sector, as well as “R&D organizations” and “academic
institutions.” In other words, the entire economy and society.

It
warns that “The erosion of American manufacturing over the last two
decades… threatens to undermine the ability of U.S. manufacturers
to meet national security requirements. Today, we rely on single
domestic sources for some products and foreign supply chains for
others, and we face the possibility of not being able to produce
specialized components for the military at home.”

Correcting
this strategic deficiency, the report concludes, means that “support
for a vibrant domestic manufacturing sector, a solid defense
industrial base, and resilient supply chains is a national priority.”

The
report squarely targets China, declaring, “China’s economic
strategies, combined with the adverse impacts of other nations’
industrial policies, pose significant threats to the U.S. industrial
base and thereby pose a growing risk to U.S. national security.”

The
promotion of US manufacturing dominance, in other words, is vital for
promoting military dominance.

The
protection of heavy industry goes together with the administration’s
efforts to defend America’s high-tech sector, the source of a vast
portion of US profitability.

As
the report notes, “One of the Chinese Communist Party’s primary
industrial initiatives, Made in China 2025, targets artificial
intelligence, quantum computing, robotics, autonomous and new energy
vehicles, high performance medical devices, high-tech ship
components, and other emerging industries critical to national
defense.”

It
warns that “Chinese R&D spending is rapidly converging to that
of the U.S. and will likely achieve parity sometime in the near
future,” and worriedly points to the fact that the Chinese
manufacturer DJI dominates the commercial aerial drone market.

The
Pentagon’s plans for protecting and expanding the US high-tech
sector include its backing for the administration’s efforts to
limit the admission of Chinese students to US universities through
visa restrictions. The report complains that, with as many as 25
percent of “STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics]
graduates in the U.S. being Chinese nationals… American
universities are major enablers of China’s economic and military
rise.”

The
vision in the document, in other words, is the concrete expression of
the conception outlined in the latest US national security strategy,
calling for “the seamless integration of multiple elements of
national power—diplomacy, information, economics, finance,
intelligence, law enforcement and military.”

A
leading element of this equation is the American corporate technology
sector, which has scrambled for fat Pentagon contracts to develop the
latest generation of weapons systems. In exchange for these payouts,
and aggressive protection from their international rivals, they have
worked closely to implement what one leaked internal Google document
called a “shift towards censorship” in cooperation with the
demands of the US military and intelligence agencies.

The
logic of this growing fusion between the repressive apparatus of the
state and increasingly powerful monopolies is the necessary
correlation between “total war” and a “totalitarian” society,
in which key constitutional provisions are rendered effectively
meaningless.

The
central target of such measures will be the forcible suppression of
the class struggle in the name of promoting “national security.”
The escalation of global US militarism has coincided with a major
upsurge in the class struggle, including the rejection of a
concessions contract by workers at UPS, the logistics giant whose
powerful workforce is capable of crippling not just America’s
industrial base, but substantial sections of the wartime economy.air

Nikki Haley treedt terug als VS ambassadeur bij de VN

Mooi
nieuws gisteren, toen bekend werd gemaakt dat hare kwaadaardigheid
Nikki Haley terugtreedt als ambassadeur bij de VN. Deze duivel draait
werkelijk alles om als het over de feiten gaat die de ongebreidelde
terreur van de VS, Israël en Saoedi-Arabië in de dagelijkse praktijk laat zien (overigens ook wat betreft andere
zaken, maar de genoemde drie zijn wel het belangrijkst).

Nu
maar afwachten welke ploert het beest Trump nu weer zal aanstellen
als vervanger, die per 1 januari 2019 ‘in functie’ zal treden…….
Slechter dan Haley is vrijwel onmogelijk. (althans dat hoop ik toch…)

Daarover
gesproken: Trump stelde dat Haley het voor elkaar kreeg dat de VS
weer wordt gerespecteerd…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Met
‘gerespecteerd’ bedoelt het beest bang zijn voor de VS en daar hebben
de landen waar de VS de pik op heeft, alle redenen toe, echter dat is
bepaald niet alleen de ‘verdienste van Haley of Trump. 

Met leugens en/of
false flag operaties heeft de VS al sinds WOII (en zelfs nog ver
daarvoor, maar laat ik me beperken tot het einde van WOII) illegale
oorlogen gevoerd tegen landen die in de verste verte geen partij zijn
voor de VS, dit nog naast de geheime militaire operaties die de VS
(volkomen illegaal) uitvoert waar het maar uitkomt…… Verder is daar nog het organiseren van opstanden en coups in diverse buitenlanden van de VS….. Dan het feit dat de VS met drone-terreur al duizenden
mensen heeft vermoord, voor meer dan 90% overigens niet eens
verdachte personen, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen…… Om nog maar te zwijgen over het ontvoeren, martelen en gijzelen van verdachten door de VS (CIA)…….

Sinds
WOII heeft de VS intussen al meer dan 22 miljoen mensen
vermoord…….

(11:00 am ET): During
their joint press conference, Trump offered effusive praise of Haley,
saying she earned the respect of foreign diplomats during her time as
UN ambassador. He added that “maybe” she will be coming back at
some point, and that she could have “her pick” of jobs in the
administration.

When
her turn came, Haley praised the administration’s “follow-through”
on its foreign policy aims and her success in cutting $1.3 billion
from the UN budget.

“countries
may not like what we do but they respect what we do. They know that
if we say we’re going to do something we follow it through.”

In
a recap of her stint as UN ambassador, Haley praised Trump’s
decision to move the US embassy in Israelfrom Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,
saying “we
will put our embassy where we want to put our embassy.”

She
also offered praise for other senior administration figures,
including Jared and Ivanka, claiming that Jared was a “hidden
genius” for his work on the revamped Nafta deal (now officially
known as USMCA).

Before
leaving her position at the end of the year, Haley said she hopes to
make sure “everything is in the right place” for when the next
ambassador arrives. And while she “doesn’t have anything set”
on what she’s doing next, she did confirm that “no I will not be
running in 2020” adding that she’s a “believer in term limits”
and wants to give “someone else a shot.”

When
reporters pressed her about her reasons for leaving, Haley denied
that she was leaving for “personal reasons” and reiterated her
claim that she felt it was time to “step aside” and that “the
truth is I want to make sure this administration has the strongest
person to fight.”

When
reporters reverted to questioning Trump, the president said his
administration had avoided serious foreign policy pitfalls – like
the outbreak of a hot war with North Korea – that many of Trump’s
critics had warned would be all but inevitable should he set foot in
the Oval Office.

“Look
at North Korea, it was a potentially devastating problem and now it’s
looking very good.”

Haley,
Trump said, played an important role in reestablishing international
respect for the US.

“We
are respected again – that I can tell you. Very much respected
again. Even if you look at the votes in the United Nations – where
we would normally get no votes we are getting very strong votes now.”

He
added that the way in which Haley is leaving her position is “the
right way to do it.”

“It’s
a great position – I think she’s helped make it a much better
position. I think it’s become a more glamorous position than it was
a few years ago. She’s made it a more important position. So I can
say we have very many people who want to do it and they are very good
people.”

Trump
also revealed that ‘we’re talking about three or four different
locations’ for the upcoming summit with North Korea, adding that
he’d love to remove sanctions but that “we have to get
something.” “Eventually
we’ll have meetings on US soil and on their soil also.

“I
think North Korea is going to be a very economically successful
country. Banks are calling they’re wanting to go there…and that’s
one of the reasons we’re having very successful conversations.”

Asked
about the timeline for naming a successor to Haley, Trump said he
expects to appoint someone within the next “two or three weeks.”
Asked about the missing Saudi journalist, Trump said he knows
“nothing” about the situation but that he would be asking the
Saudis for more information.

Unable
to restrain himself from taking a shot at his former rival Hillary
Clinton, Trump answered a question about Hillary Clinton’s warnings
on how to handle Saudi Arabia with “I guess that’s why she lost.”
Meanwhile, Trump said Pompeo’s latest meeting with China (a
meeting that ended in a dramatic public confrontation) went
“very well.”

Turning
to the often uncomfortable subject of the timing of a US-China trade
deal, Trump insisted that “China wants to make a deal, but they’re
not ready yet. That’s
why I’ve canceled a couple of meetings.”

After
a few more kind words for Haley, the president wrapped up the press
conference.

While
Trump says he’s sad to see Haley go, at least one person is excited
by the news.

has confirmed to a reporter that Haley will be leaving her post at
the end of the year, saying only that she wants to “take a break”
and that “we hate to lose her”. The president reportedly said he

are speculating that South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham could soon
take a job in the Trump cabinet (possibly attorney general?) after
the midterms, allowing Haley to fill his old senate seat.

In
a statement to reporters, Haley said her experience as UN ambassador
has been “the honor of a lifetime” and that the US would put its
embassy where it wants and that “there are a number of people who
would like to do this…it is a much more glamorous position than it
was a few years ago.”

Two
weeks after President Trump issued another fiery rebuke of globalism,
the United Nations and its attendant institutions during his second
speech before the UN General Assembly, Axios is
reporting that the president has accepted the resignation of UN
Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Haley,
the former governor of South Carolina who has been with the
administration since the beginning, reportedly discussed her
resignation with Trump during a visit to the White House last
week. Her
desire to leave her post apparently shocked several senior
administration officials. Haley was an early and frequent critic of
then-candidate Trump before she conceded and joined his
administration.

Haley
refused to comment on reports of her resignation after walking by a
group of reporters in the West Wing.

Most
recently, Haley oversaw the US’s withdrawal from a UN human rights
council over its “chronic bias against Israel.”

“I
want to make it crystal clear that this step is not a retreat from
human rights commitments,” Haley said at the time. “On the
contrary, we take this step because our commitment does not allow us
to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organization that
makes a mockery of human rights.”

At
one point, Haley was rumored to be a top pick to replace Rex
Tillerson as Secretary of State – a job that ultimately went to
Secretary Mike Pompeo. Media reports detailed a fraught relationship
between Haley and Tillerson as they jockeyed to be the face of the
administration’s foreign policy. Tillerson’s aides reportedly
asked her to pre-clear any public remarks with Washington.

While
she has mostly avoided conflict with Trump since joining the
administration, Trump did accuse her of getting “ahead of the
curve” after she said earlier this year that the administration
would impose sanctions on Russian companies found to be aiding the
Syrian government’s chemical weapons program after a deadly
chemical attack in April, as the

On
April 15, Ms. Haley announced that the administration would place
sanctions on Russian companies found to be assisting Syria’s
chemical weapons program — part of a menu of options to retaliate
against a suspected gas attack that killed dozens on April 7. But the
next day, the
White House announced that Mr. Trump had decided not to go forward
with the sanctions, contradicting what Ms. Haley had said. The White
House said she had gotten “ahead of the curve.”

She
also broke with the administration line when she said last December
that women accusing Trump of sexual improprieties deserved “to be
heard” and that “they should be dealt with.”

And
in December 2017, Ms. Haley said that women who had accused Mr. Trump
of sexual misconduct “should be heard,” a surprising break from
the administration’s longstanding assertion that the accusations
were false and that voters rightly dismissed them when they elected
Mr. Trump. “They
should be heard, and they should be dealt with,” Ms. Haley told
CBS. “And I think we heard from them prior to the election. And I
think any woman who has felt violated or felt mistreated in any way,
they have every right to speak up.”

As
Axios pointed out, Haley wrote an op-ed last month challenging
allegations in the infamous anonymous NYT op-ed alleging that a group
of senior administration officials had formed an internal
“resistance” movement against Trump to protect the nation from
his most dangerous impulses.

De VS
rekent de Zuid-Chinese Zee tot haar territoriale wateren, althans
anders kan je niet concluderen als je ziet dat de VS China keer op
keer uitdaagt in een gebied dat China ‘iets meer gerechtigd dan de
VS’, ziet als haar territoriale wateren…….

Eindelijk
heeft China besloten dat het genoeg is geweest en heeft de torpedobootjager
USS Decator, een schip met geleide raketten aan boord, weggejaagd uit haar territoriale wateren!

China
wordt door de westerse wereld beschuldigd van ‘expansiedrift’, door
het opspuiten van eilandjes in de Zuid-Chinese Zee. Echter gezien het
grote aantal militaire bases van terreurentiteit VS rond een deel van
haar grondgebied, kan je niet anders dan China gelijk geven, immers de
VS heeft ruim voldoende bewezen totaal onbetrouwbaar te zijn en
uiterst agressief te opereren en dat in een fiks deel van de
wereld…… 

Trouwens over expansiedrift gesproken, als er voor die claim één land in aanmerking komt is het wel de VS, met haar meer dan 800 militaire bases over de wereld en dat voor een ‘land’ dat zoals gezegd ten overvloede heeft bewezen uiterst agressief te werk te gaan, neem alleen al: 

  • alle illegale oorlogen die het is begonnen. 
  • het organiseren van staatsgrepen in vele landen, veelal voorafgegaan door door de VS georganiseerde opstanden, zoals in Libië, Oekraïne en Syrië (waarin de CIA in beide gevallen, dus zowel opstand als coup, een grote rol speelde). 
  • het uitvoeren van geheime militaire operaties. 
  • het hacken zelfs van bevriende regeringen (zoals de telefoon van de Duitse premier Merkel).
  • het manipuleren van de bevolking via diverse media in binnenland en in vele buitenlanden*. 
  • het voeren van de oorlog tegen drugs**. 
  • het vermoorden van verdachten middels drones, waarbij godbetert meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen…….

Vanaf het einde van WOII heeft de VS ruim meer dan 22 miljoen mensen vermoord……***

Gelukkig
dat China en Rusland intussen schoon genoeg hebben van de VS terreur
en niet meer terugdeinzen om de spierballen te laten zien (zo heeft Rusland de door de VS en NAVO lidstaten gevreesde S-300 raketten geleverd aan Syrië, dit tegen de agressie van Israël, de VS en een paar hielenlikkende NAVO partners. Het is de

Warship Intercepts US Guided-Missile Destroyer in South China Sea

naval operations in the South China Sea are built primarily around
needling China. China has built up a number of islands and claims
ownership of them. The US insists China doesn’t own them, and also
that they’re not really islands, so the USS Decatur, a
guided-missile destroyer, was sent to sail past one of the islands,
as a way to thumbing their nose at Chinese claims.

That
doesn’t work for China, who sent one of their own destroyers to
intercept the American ship, which was just 12 nautical miles off the
Spratly Islands. China called the US ship’s presence a “threat”
and said the Chinese ship was sent there to tell them to leave.

US
officials are now furious as
well, both because they intend to keep sailing past those islands to
spite China, and because
they say China’s ship was “unsafe” in getting so close to them,
forcing the USS Decatur to move to prevent a collision.

US
officials tend to over-emphasize the “unsafe” operations of
anyone confronting US warships, especially pushed when tensions are
mounting, as the US-China tensions have been in recent weeks.

Two
destroyers 45 yards from one another is close, but not unnavigable.
China’s ship forced the US ship to turn, which was the whole point
of the interception, to chase the USS Decatur out of what China
considers their territorial waters.

Generally,
a ship passing 12 miles from a small island would barely be noticed,
and China has previously ignored such operations. The Pentagon,
however, have emphasized that they are explicitly flouting Chinese
territorial claims with such sail-bys, and China apparently felt
obliged to respond.

Hoorde afgelopen uur op BBC World Service radio (rond 14.20 u. CET) dat er in Nigeria al 2 weken lang grote overstromingen zijn door de aanhoudende enorme regenval……..

Huizen werden en worden door de grote waterstromen meegesleurd of zijn daardoor ingestort…… Intussen zijn er al meer dan 100 doden geteld….

Waar intussen al een week lang enorme aandacht is voor de orkaan Florence aan de oostkust van de VS en in veel mindere mate voor de veel sterkere tyfoon (of: orkaan) Mangkhut die de Filipijnen, Macau en China trof, is er geen aandacht voor de ramp die zich in Nigeria langs 2 grote rivieren voltrekt……..

Ach ja, Nigeria ‘is nu eenmaal een derde klasse land’, waar je ‘natuurlijk zo min mogelijk aandacht aan besteedt…..’

Moet eerlijk toegeven dat na aanvankelijke aarzeling, de reguliere media in het westen wel veel aandacht hebben geschonken aan tyfoon Mangkhut, ook al was dat in veel mindere mate dan voor orkaan Florence, maar ja dan heb je het ook over de gevolgen van een orkaan in het voor de rest van het westen ‘heilige land’ de VS……. Uit
onlangs vrijgegeven documenten blijkt dat de VS al in de 60er jaren
plannen had om Rusland en China aan te vallen met kernwapens…….

Ongelofelijk
te lezen dat men moedwillig burgerdoelen wilde aanvallen om zo de
economie hard te treffen. McNamara was de grote architect van de
plannen, dit onder de ‘vredelievende’ president John F.
Kennedy……

Wat dat
laatste betreft stelt Whitney Webb in het hieronder opgenomen
artikel, eerder gepubliceerd op MintPress News, dat McNamara tijdens WOII ook
verantwoordelijk was voor de aanvallen met brandbommen op 67 Japanse steden…… In een documentaire uit 2003 stelde McNamara dat er bij zo’n bombardement op Tokio in één nacht ‘maar
liefst’ 100.000 burgers werden verbrand, inclusief vrouwen en
kinderen, daar was hij nog steeds trots op…..

Voorts
was McNamara verantwoordelijk voor de deelname van de VS aan de
Vietnamoorlog. Hij was de architect achter de false flag operatie die
bekend staat als het ‘Tonkin incident’, waarmee de VS ‘een reden had’
om zich verder in die oorlog te mengen. In Vietnam kwamen naar
schatting minstens 3 miljoen mensen om het leven, in buurlanden Laos
en Cambodja vermoordde de VS nog eens 1 miljoen mensen….. McNamara
verklaarde in 1964 dat hij er (alweer) trots op was dat zijn naam verbonden blijft aan de Vietnamoorlog, die ook nog eens aan 58.000 VS militairen het

Je denkt
misschien, ach plannen van meer dan 50 jaar geleden, niets om je druk
om te maken, echter onder Trump heeft de VS gesteld een eerste aanval
met kernwapens niet uit te sluiten, zelfs als reactie op een
cyberaanval…… Ook hare kwaadaardigheid May, godbetert premier van
Groot-Brittannië, liet een paar jaar geleden weten een eerste aanval
met kernwapens niet uit te sluiten……

De geschiedenis met de agressie van de VS (zonder meer de grootste
terreurentiteit op aarde) laat vanaf WOII zien dat dit gestolen land meer dan 22 miljoen
mensen heeft vermoord in: illegale oorlogen en door de VS (CIA) opgezette
opstanden en staatsgrepen…..* Bij die moorden kunnen nu nog eens duizenden moorden opgeteld worden, moorden die de VS
pleegt op verdachten met gebruikmaking van drones…… Gezien deze geschiedenis moet gevreesd worden dat er nog steeds dergelijke plannen liggen…..

(MPN) — Recently
declassified documents shed light on a U.S. nuclear war plan
developed in 1964 by the Pentagon’s Joint Staff to bomb Russia –
then the Soviet Union – and China with nuclear weapons so
extensively that it would destroy them “as viable societies.” The
war plan itself, known as Single Integrated Operational Plan 64
(SIOP-64), has not been declassified, as no SIOP has ever been
released to the public by the United States government.

However,
newly declassified documents that record the Pentagon Joint Staff’s
review of SIOP-64 were recently made
available through
George Washington University’s National Security Archive project.
The documents reveal numerous details about the still-classified plan
that shine light on the Pentagon’s willingness to wage nothing
short of total war against its adversaries at the time.

In
particular, the documents show that the plan sought to accomplish the
destruction of Russian and Chinese society by targeting and
eliminating their industrial potential while also wiping out the
majority of their urban populations. Still more troubling, urban
civilians were proposed to be the main target and
measure of the U.S. nuclear war plan as the Joint Staff sought to use
“population loss as the primary yardstick for effectiveness in
destroying the enemy society, with only collateral attention to
industrial damage.”

This
gambit to use population loss as a “primary yardstick” was
notably developed prior to the 1964 meeting detailed in the newly
released document. The meeting considered studies that had been
jointly conducted by the Joint Staff and the Joint Strategic Target
Planning Staff in order to determine how many Soviet and Chinese
cities and industrial areas needed to be wiped out in order to
destroy both countries as “viable societies.”

In
the case of the Soviet Union, it was determined that destroying 70
percent of the country’s industrial floor space, mostly urban areas
that can be used for industrial activity, would likely result in “the
destruction of the USSR as a viable society.” The plan notes that
targeting such a significant amount of the Soviet Union’s
industrial floor space would put nearby urban populations “at
risk.” Though no estimates for civilian casualties in the Soviet
Union are given in the declassified documents, a
1962 estimate projected
70 million Soviet fatalities would result from a no-warning U.S.
strike on military and urban-industrial targets.

China
– characterized then by its largely agrarian economy – posed a
challenge, given that an estimated 84 percent of the Chinese
population lived in rural areas away from urban centers, complicating
the plan to target civilian urban populations in order to destroy
China as “a viable nation.” In the case of China, the Joint Staff
ultimately settled on a plan that would destroy 30 of China’s
largest cities, with a goal of 30 percent urban fatalities, or 212
million people, and the destruction of 50 percent of industrial floor
space.

Furthermore,
the plan featured options that included both preemptive and
retaliatory bombings. The university researchers who obtained and
published the documents noted
that “preemptive”
bombings do not necessarily indicate plans for a first strike but
instead indicated that the U.S. would enact the plan if U.S.
intelligence was able to “produce warning of an impending Soviet
attack that a U.S. strike could avert or at least blunt.”

A
Mad Plan, but Very Much in Character

According
to these same researchers, the influence of then-Secretary of Defense
Robert McNamara on the SIOP-64 is clear, given that McNamara “made
the concept of ‘assured destruction’ basic to the way that top
Pentagon officials sized U.S. strategic forces.”

Furthermore,
the consideration of civilian fatalities as the “primary yardstick”
of the plan’s effectiveness also bears McNamara’s “fingerprints.”
Indeed, McNamara was an “architect” of the U.S.’ War in
Vietnam, including
the Gulf of Tonkin “false flag” that
initiated it, leading some in the press to call the conflict
“McNamara’s War.” In 1964, McNamara stated
that he
was “pleased to be identified with” the war, which killed at
least 3 million Vietnamese, a million Cambodians and Laotians and
58,000 Americans, and laid waste to Southern Vietnam through the
chemical warfare campaign that McNamara helped develop
and oversee.

Aside
from Vietnam, McNamara was also intimately
involved in
the firebombing of 67 Japanese cities shortly before the end of World
War II, which destroyed 50 to 90 percent of all Japanese urban areas.
In a
2003 documentary,
McNamara calmly recounted how, in a single night, “we burned to
death 100,000 Japanese civilians in Tokyo —  men, women, and
children.”

With
architect of mass-destruction McNamara serving as the head of the
Pentagon when SIOP-64 was developed, its consideration of hundreds of
millions of human lives as a “yardstick” for military
effectiveness is unsurprising. It is, however, no less chilling for
being in character, given that the some 300 million civilians that
were estimated to be killed if SIOP-64 had been enacted, dwarfs even
the vast numbers who died as a result of McNamara’s other, enacted
policies.

Unfortunately,
McNamara-esque military policies are hardly a thing of the past.
Indeed, the recent changes to the
Nuclear Posture Review under
the Trump administration ended the once clear rejection of a nuclear
first strike launched by the U.S. as it states that the U.S. can use
atomic bombs in response to “significant non-nuclear strategic
attacks”, which include alleged cyberattacks. Furthermore, this
year’s National Defense Strategy replaced the
U.S. military’s decades-long focus on the “War on Terror” with
a focus on preparing for a “great power war” against both Russia
and China, countries that are now
considered by
the Pentagon to present the “central challenges” to global U.S.
hegemony.

Though
there may be a temptation to dismiss the SOIP-64 as a relic of the
Cold War past, present circumstances should caution us to think
otherwise.

The
news agencies reported Trump would extend tariffs on Wednesday.
Instead, we have an outline of possible actions.

The Wall Street Journal
reports U.S.
Turns Up the Heat on China.

The U.S. turned up the
heat Wednesday on China, with the Trump administration threatening to
more than double proposed tariffs on imports while Congress passed a
defense bill designed to restrict Beijing’s economic and military
activity.

The moves come as Beijing
and Washington have failed to ease an escalating trade dispute,
prompting the administration to seek additional leverage. The
administration, which has already affixed tariffs on billions of
dollars in Chinese imports, said it would consider more than doubling
proposed tariffs on a further $200 billion worth of Chinese goods to
25%, up from an original 10%.

Meantime, the Senate
approved a defense-policy bill that both tightens U.S.
national-security reviews of Chinese corporate deals and revamps
export controls over which U.S. technologies can be sent abroad. The
bill, which also restricts Beijing in areas ranging from cultural
activity to military exercises, passed the House a week earlier and
President Trump is expected to sign it into law.

Administration officials
are confident they have the upper hand in the trade fight because the
U.S. economy is strengthening while the Chinese economy shows signs
of growing slack. Moreover, China is more dependent on trade than the
U.S.

But that confidence so
far hasn’t translated into action.

President Trump has
threatened to apply tariffs to all $505 billion in Chinese goods
entering the U.S. if the two are unable to reach a settlement.
Washington has already applied tariffs to $34 billion worth of
Chinese imports, with another set of duties on $16 billion in goods
scheduled in the days ahead.

The U.S. threatened
Wednesday to make the next round of tariffs more punitive. In a
Monday White House meeting, Mr. Trump dismissed the original
administration plan for a 10% tariff on $200 billion in imports—the
next step in Mr. Trump’s escalation—and had his team bump up the
levy to 25%.

Another Tariff
Backfiring Moment

The administration didn’t
spell out a particular rationale for increasing the tariff. People
familiar with White House discussions say the reasons include anger
over the Chinese government’s failure to approve the merger of
U.S.-based Qualcomm Inc. and Dutch chip maker NXP Semiconductors ,
which forced the companies to scrap a deal aimed at boosting
Qualcomm’s reach into new markets.

Both sides lose. That’s
exactly what happens in trade wars.

More Losses
Coming

The proposed tariff
increase poses big risks for both the U.S. and global economy. A 25%
tariff would boost the cost of a range of U.S. imports at a time when
inflation has begun to pick up. It would become another factor for
the Federal Reserve to consider as it decides how quickly to raise
interest rates.

“This gets you
nothing,” said Fred Bergsten, founder of the Peterson Institute for
International Economics, a Washington, D.C., free-trade think tank.
“It adds to inflation pressure and interest rates and [would]
strengthen the dollar, which makes trade situation even worse” for
the U.S., he said.

It gets less than
nothing. Inflation will be temporary, and it will be followed by a
deflationary collapse in trade.

Three Ways China
Can Retaliate

  1. Let the Yuan slide 25%
    negating the tariffs.

  2. Further limit US firms
    ability to do deals in China

  3. Halt
    Rare Earth Exports. Rare earths are 17 minerals used to make cell
    phones, hybrid cars, weapons, flat-screen TVs, magnets,
    mercury-vapor lights, and camera lenses.

Option one has capital
flight risks for China of course. But US tariffs pose numerous risks
to the US and global economy as well.

Option two is a given.

Option three is rarely
discussed, but China has at least 80% of the global market.

China’s Rate
Earth Monopoly

In August of 2017, The
Diplomat commented on The
Ongoing Efforts to Challenge China’s Monopoly.

Back in 2010, “rare
earth elements” became a hot topic in the national security and
foreign policy fields, mainly because of the political, economic, and
security turmoil that followed China’s defacto embargo of those
elements. In September of that year, China (the major supplier of
rare earth elements) suddenly reduced its export quotas by 40 percent
— not long after the collision of a Chinese fishing ship and a
Japanese Coast Guard vessel in the East China Sea. Due to the export
restriction, Japan found it difficult to fill its domestic rare earth
demands, and as a result the world market price of the elements
skyrocketed.

Eventually, when the WTO
ruled against China’s export restriction in 2014, and the market
price went back to the original (or even lower) level, media coverage
on rare earths declined dramatically. Are the risks in the rare earth
supply chain really gone? Probably not.

Called “the
vitamins of modern society,”
rare earth elements play a critical role in our daily life — in
both the economic and security domains. These elements are key
components of a vast array of products, including smart phones,
computers, light bulbs, electric cars, wind turbines, satellites,
cruise missiles, and stealth aircrafts. Some elements, like neodymium
and dysprosium, are highly demanded for the production of permanent
magnets, which are used for sensors and motors of these products. The
most noteworthy fact is that the more we go green and
technology-oriented, the more important these elements become to our
society.

Today, China enjoys a
monopoly in the rare earths market. It is estimated that in
2016, more
than 80 percent of
rare earth elements produced in the world were excavated in China.
The country is also believed to hold more than 30 percent of the
planet’s remaining rare earth element reserves. While many stopped
paying attention to rare earths after the dispute settlement at the
WTO, the market has been preparing for more potential turmoil.

It is costly to find
alternatives to low-priced Chinese rare earths, whether those
alternatives are opening and reopening mines, inventing new recycling
process, or developing substitutes. Nonetheless, in the current
situation, where China not only has major control over global supply
but has also begun stockpiling in preparation for future market
demand, continuing efforts to diversify the supply chain portfolio
are critical for the United States and its allies — from both
economic and security perspectives. It is not sustainable to rely on
Chinese rare earths, although they look very cost-effective in a very
short term. Now is the time to revisit the powerful dynamics of rare
earth elements and to establish a strategy to win the
soon-to-be-more-competitive battle of the market.

Not That Rare? So
What?

In April of 2018, The
Verge reported China
can’t control the market in rare earth elements because they aren’t
all that rare.

The Verge contradicts its
own headline in the body.

The whole process is
“expensive, difficult, and dangerous,” says former rare earth
trader and freelance journalist Tim Worstall. He tells The Verge
that, because of this, the West has been more or less happy to cede
production of rare earths to China. From the 1960s to the ‘80s, the
US did actually supply the world with these elements; all extracted
from a single mine in California named Mountain Pass. But in the
‘90s, China entered the market and drove down prices, making
Mountain Pass unprofitable and leading to its closure in 2002.

Worstall says there are
many reasons production moved overseas. Some of these are familiar:
cheap labor costs and a willingness to overlook environmental damage,
for example. But there’s also the fact that rare earth production
in China is often a byproduct of other mining operations. “The
biggest plant there is actually an iron ore mine which extracts rare
earths on the side,” says Worstall. This means that, unlike the
Mountain Pass mine, producers aren’t reliant on a single product.
“If you are trying to only produce rare earths, then you’re
subject to the swings and roundabouts of the market.”

In a paper describing
the Minamitori find published in Nature
Scientific Reports,
the Japanese suggest a hydrocycle could use centrifugal forces to
quickly separate out a lot of the unnecessary materials in the sea
mud. But this method is unproven.

“Nobody has ever done
it before, and no-one has proved it can work at an industrial scale,”
says Professor Frances Wall of the Exeter University’s Camborne
School of Mines. Wall tells The
Verge that
the Japanese team are doing “some nice work,” but says a huge
amount of research has yet to be done before the seabed becomes a
reliable source of these important elements. “There have been
literally hundreds of exploration projects [that have found rare
earth metals] and they’ve not been able to go forward through
production because they can’t prove they’ll make any money,”
says Wall.

Where’s the Mine?

Rare earths may not be
that rare but how long does it takes to start a mine and produce what
you need?

It was a WTO ruling that
eventually led to the price collapse, some four years later! And if
Trump has no use for the WTO, maybe China will decide the same thing.

Alleged Steel
Glut

Let’s step back for a
moment and look at what started this trade war: An alleged steel
glut. China supposedly was dumping steel below cost.

Complaining about
“dumping” is idiotic. If someone is providing goods cheaper
than you or they can make them, you are getting one hell of a good
deal! Period. End of story. If it hurts steel manufacturers, then it
benefits thousands of other companies that use steel.

And tariffs pick winners
and losers, mostly losers, all but the steel industry in fact. To
argue about this is absurd.

Oceans
of Gluts

If
there is a “steel glut” then there is a “soybean
glut”. There are tens of thousands of gluts. Literally every
export can be deemed a glut.

And
again, if China is indeed subsidizing steel, then we should be
eternally grateful. Instead, Trump spits in their face.

Amazing.

By
the way, the US subsidizes Boeing and the entire defense industry by
fighting needless, counterproductive wars. And what about the sugar
lobby? Ethanol?

So
not only are we stupid, we are hypocrites.

De
Russische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Lavrov, sprak zich in een
interview met Channel 4 uit over de nieuwe wereldorde die zich
momenteel vormt, een wereldorde met China en Rusland als
wereldleiders.

Na
5 eeuwen westerse overheersing, is het westen uitgespeeld en vormt
zich een nieuwe wereldorde, waarbij Lavrov wees op China, Brazilië en
India, als landen die bezig zijn met een inhaalslag op economisch,
financieel en politiek gebied.

Op de vraag of Rusland bezig is deze nieuwe orde vorm te geven, stelde Lavrov dat
deze nieuwe wereldorde zichzelf vormt en een product is van de
geschiedenis. (en dus geen vorming nodig heeft)

Pogingen
om deze wereldorde af te remmen met sancties en importtarieven (de
handelsoorlog van Trump) op producten uit o.a. China en de EU, zullen
uiteindelijk niet het gewenste resultaat opleveren, aldus Lavrov. (zo zijn er al bedrijven in de VS die zelf het slachtoffer worden door deze importheffingen en verplaatst bijvoorbeeld Harley Davidson de productie deels naar een EU land, om EU heffingen te omzeilen, waardoor in de VS veel ontslagen zullen vallen……)

Lavrov
erkent dat de EU een belangrijke pijler is voor elke wereldorde, maar
stelt dat de EU moet beslissen of het afhankelijk wil blijven van de
VS, of een zelfstandige koers gaat varen, waarbij de EU zich meer op de BRIC landen zou moeten richten.

Lavrov
stelde nog dat de EU kampt met een vluchtelingencrisis, die het één
op één te danken heeft aan VS ingrijpen in landen als Libië, waar
de NAVO dit land zo’n 60 jaar terug in de tijd bombardeerde en
waardoor er nu veel vluchtelingen via dit land naar Europa proberen
te vluchten. Waar de EU de rotzooi in Libië, veroorzaakt door de VS en de NAVO mag opruimen (hij noemde overigens alleen de NAVO, al is deze terreurorganisatie
uiteraard het speeltje van de VS, of de oorlogshond van de VS, zo je
wilt)

Op
de vraag of Rusland bereid is Edward Snowden uit te leveren voor het
verlichten van sancties, gaf Lavrov aan dat Snowden niet zal worden
uitgeleverd en hij het land niet hoeft te verlaten als hij dit zelf niet wil, waar hij de VS nog een
sneer gaf door te stellen dat de VS het paspoort van Snowden
ongeldig verklaarde toen deze van Hong Kong naar Europa vloog,
waardoor hij vast kwam te zitten op de luchthaven van Moskou….

Gezien
de uitlatingen van Lavrov is het wel duidelijk dat de VS er alles
aan doet om de door Lavrov genoemde wereldorde tegen te gaan, vandaar
waarschijnlijk ook de bokkesprongen van Trump die een handelsoorlog
begon tegen o.a. China, Mexico en de EU….. (waar de sancties tegen
Rusland, NB ingesteld nadat de VS een opstand en coup organiseerde in
Oekraïne, hetzelfde doen als de importtarieven die de VS heft op
buitenlandse producten als staal en auto’s…….)

E.e.a.
zou gevaarlijk kunnen worden als de VS ziet dat het aan het kortste
eind zal trekken en haar dominantie over de wereld bij de laatste
‘minuten’ is aanbeland; ofwel zal de VS daarop niet een echte oorlog
starten tegen Rusland en China?? Intussen heeft de VS daarop al lang geleden geanticipeerd door de aanleg van een groot aantal militaire bases
rond China en Rusland en besloot het al onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama haar
kernwapenarsenaal te vernieuwen…….

A
new multipolar order, driven by economics and history, is emerging in
the world and Western attempts to stop or to slow it down are
unlikely to succeed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told UK’s
Channel 4.

“I
think that we are in the post-West world order,” Lavrov
told the British Channel 4 in an interview on
Friday. “It
is a historical epoch, if you want. Certainly, after five or so
centuries of domination of the collective West, as it were, it is not
very easy to adjust to new realities that there are other powerhouses
economically, financially and politically,” he
added, pointing to China, India and Brazil.

Asked
if Russia was shaping this world order, Lavrov replied it was rather
the product of history and “development
itself.”

“You
cannot really hope to contain [these] new powerful, economically and
financially, countries. You cannot really ignore their role in world
trade and world economy,” despite
attempts to slow down the process with sanctions and tariffs, the top
Russian diplomat said.

The
European Union is “certainly
a very important pillar of any world order,” Lavrov
added, but it needs to decide whether to remain reliant on the US or
become more self-sufficient. By way of illustration, Lavrov brought
up the migrant crisis, which the EU is currently struggling with.

“NATO
bombed Libya, turned Libya into a black hole through which waves of
migrants, illegal migrants, rushed to Europe. Now EU is cleaning the
broken china for NATO,” Lavrov
said.

Russia’s
relations with the West, which have soured dramatically since the
2014 US-backed coup in Ukraine, will be among the topics discussed at
the July summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US
President Donald Trump in Finland.

During
the interview, Lavrov brushed off Channel 4 speculation that Russia
could offer to hand over NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, whom it
granted political asylum, in exchange for the lifting of US and EU
sanctions.

Stop de Indonesische handel in honden- en kattenvlees!

Gisteren was de start van het Yulin festival in China*, een jaarlijks ‘feest’ waar inhumane schoften duizenden honden en katten slachten en dat op de
vreselijkste manieren, zoals ook de gevangenschap en het vervoer
naar hun vreselijk lot van deze arme dieren zich volkomen inhumaan
en misdadig voltrekt en waar maar twee woorden passen: marteling en moord….

Niet alleen tijdens dit ‘festijn’ in China, maar dagelijks worden in Azië tienduizenden honden en katten gruwelijk vermoord om daarna als voedsel te dienen……. Dit alles terwijl hun lotgenoten toekijken, wachtend op hun gruwelijke einde……….

Vandaag
start het beruchte Yulin festival in China, waar
opnieuw duizenden honden en katten zullen worden afgeslacht.

Hoewel
VIER VOETERS de immense wreedheid van dit festival veroordeelt,
moeten we niet vergeten dat Yulin slechts staat voor 0,01%
van al het hondenvlees dat in China wordt
geconsumeerd en minder dan 0,0005% van al het hondenvlees dat in
heel Azië wordt geconsumeerd. Elke dag worden
tienduizenden honden en katten op
gruwelijke wijze gemarteld en gedood,
om te eindigen als avondmaal. Opgepropt in kleine kooien zien de
dieren hoe hun soortgenoten op brute wijze afgeslacht worden,
totdat zij hetzelfde lot ondergaan.

VIER VOETERS is
recentelijk een partnerschapsprogramma aangegaan met
Zuidoost-Azië. Dit partnerschapsprogramma voorziet in de
dringend noodzakelijke veterinaire diensten, onderwijs en lokale
trainingsprogramma’s om het dierenwelzijn in
Zuidoost-Azië te verbeteren. Ook is VIER VOETERS lid van
de Dog Meat Free Indonesia Coalition. Samen met deze
coalitie voeren wij campagne voor een verbod in
de handel van hondenvlees in Indonesië.

Ben

Vastgebonden
in plastic zakken met gesnoerde snuiten: zo worden de honden in
Indonesïe getransporteerd, op weg naar een gruwelijke dood.Veel
honden overlijden al tijdens dit transport wegens extreme stress en
hitte.

De
waarheid achter de handel in hondenvlees

Als
lid van de Dog Meat Free Indonesia Coalition, roept VIER
VOETERS de Indonesische regering op de handel in
hondenvlees en het slachten van honden voor menselijke
consumptie te verbieden. 

Honden
zijn een van onze trouwste metgezellen en familieleden en brengen
ons zoveel vreugde en liefde.

Stelt
u zich eens voor dat uw geliefde familielid uit uw huis werd
gestolen en werd gedood voor om vlees van te maken… Helaas
gebeurt dit elke dag in Azië en breekt het de harten van
hun baasjes. Alleen al in Indonesië worden meer dan een miljoen
zwerfhonden en huishonden meegenomen om te eindigen in
hondenvleesrestaurants, slachthuizen en op markten.

Gevangen
honden zijn strak verpakt in kooien en zakken, hun mond gebonden
gesloten, zodat ze kunnen nauwelijks ademen.
