Iran
heeft Trump’s administratie te kakken gezet, door een reactie
vlak na de puberachtige (en dan een héél domme puber) reactie van
Trump op het bericht dat al-Baghdadi vermoord zou zijn in het
Noordwesten van Syrië, een gebied waar de VS al lange tijd
gestationeerd was (en dat de VS ‘verlaten zou hebben…’). Iran stelt
dat het bepaald geen opzienbarend nieuws is en voegt daar volkomen terecht toe dat de VS in feite
haar eigen creatie heeft vermoord……
Volgens
Tyler Durden, die het hieronder geschreven artikel op Zero Hedge plaatste, beschuldigt Iran de VS ofwel al langer van het op poten zetten van IS (ISIS), dan wel dat de VS IS heeft gecreëerd door haar handelen, echter niet alleen Iran stelt dat, er zijn meerdere
deskundigen die hetzelfde beweren, ook aan de hand van bepaalde
documenten die in Wikileaks zijn te vinden…..
Bovendien
en daar maakt Durden geen melding van, hebben de VS en Egypte een
groot aantal jihadstrijders, waaronder veel IS leden, vanuit Libië vervoerd naar
Irak, om ze vandaar bewapend en voorzien van rollend oorlogstuig, tot
over de grens met Syrië te begeleiden, waar ze geacht werden het
bewind van Assad te bestrijden (door o.a. grootschalige terreur uit
te oefenen op alles en iedereen die achter de Assad regering stond, of wat niet soennitisch was, dan wel problemen had met de
sharia…..)…..
Ook
jammer dat Durden niet gewoon volmondig stelt dat de VS en haar
bondgenoten grootschalige terreur uitoefenen in landen waar deze
coalitie niets te zoeken heeft…… Vergeet daarbij niet dat deze westerse terreur (immers een aantal NAVO-lidstaten doet mee aan die terreur) nieuwe terreur creëert op de straten van Europa en dat daarmee ook de enorme
vluchtelingenstromen opgang zijn gekomen…… ‘Wij’ hebben daar ook aan mee betaald via de belasting, immers ‘onze regering’ laat zich
maar al te graag als lakei van de VS behandelen, waardoor ‘we’ niet
alleen hebben deelgenomen aan de westerse terreur in de vorm van
illegale oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak en Libië, maar ook aan die
in Syrië, wat overigens niet wil zeggen dat de oorlog in de genoemde
landen over is, alles behalve……..
Sergej
Koezjoegetovitsj Sjojgoe (Sergej Sjojgoe), de
Russische minister van defensie, reageerde nogal laconiek op de
berichten die Trump de wereld instuurde en stelde dat Baghdadi alweer
is doodverklaard, dit daar de VS dit ten onrechte al een paar keer
eerder beweerde.
Overigens
roemde Trump o.a. Syrië en Rusland voor de geboden hulp, iets dat
hij ook toeschreef aan de Turken en de Koerden…. ha! ha! ha! ha!
Zeker Turkije zou geen poot uitsteken om Baghdadi te pakken, immers
het land heeft van meet af aan IS gesteund en heeft bij de illegale
aanval op Syrisch grondgebied een onbekend, maar wel groot aantal IS
strijders en vrouwen vrijgelaten, die in gevangenkampen zaten die
door de Koerden werden beheerd…… Bijzonder onwaarschijnlijk ook
dat de Koerden de VS zouden hebben geholpen, nu ze zo zijn verraden
door de VS en dat in feite 2 keer in bijzonder korte tijd…..*

Trump kan z’n imbeciele achterban weer blij maken met een dode vogel,
dat domme tuig gelooft alles wat Trump zegt, zelfs nadat hij zichzelf
meermaals heeft tegengesproken (waarschijnlijk heeft een groot deel van zijn achterban dat niet eens door…)….

Merely Killed It’s “Own Creature”: Iran Reacts To Trump’s
Baghdadi Speech
Just
after President Trump’s major Sunday announcement of ISIS terror
chief Abu Bakr Baghdadi’s death as a result of a successful and
complicated special forces raid in northwest Syria, Iran’s first
reaction was to dismiss it as “not a big deal”.
In
perhaps the most interesting reaction of an enemy of
Washington moments after the news broke Sunday, Iranian
Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad
Azari Jahromi declared that Baghdadi’s elimination was not
“a big deal” and that Washington
had simply destroyed its own “creature.”
“Not
a big deal! You just killed your creature,” Jahromi posted on
Twitter in reaction to Trump’s initial tweet reading
“Something very big has just happened!”
Iranian
state media has for years since Islamic State terrorists flooded
Syria and established their ‘caliphate’ produced stories
suggesting Washington ‘created’ ISIS, whether directly or indirectly.
After
the CIA and Pentagon flooded the Syrian battlefield with advanced
weaponry during the early years of the war, such as the BGM-71
TOW anti-tank missile, more
and more of
these very weapons were
documented ending
up in
the hands of ISIS,
which they used against Syrian government forces.
Meanwhile,
in a separate statement Iranian government spokesman Ali
Rabiei asserted that
Baghdadi’s death would not ultimately put a stop to the Islamic
State, and that US policies fueled the rise of the terror caliphate.
“As
the death of Osama bin Laden didn’t eradicate terrorism, the death
of al-Baghdadi will not put an end to Daeshism,” Rabiei said.
Explaining that the region’s jihadist terror groups thrive “through
American policies and regional petrodollars,” he
said it’s
these “terror-nurturing
swamps that need to be drained.”

Also
on Sunday Russia reacted by expressing doubt over the veracity
concerning the entire White House narrative on the “daring
nighttime raid” to kill Baghdadi, saying it’s yet to see proof
of what the Russian Defense Ministry sarcastically described
as“yet
another elimination” of Baghdadi, referencing the multiple prior
false media reports of his death.
This
after Trump issued unprecedented praise toward the Russian and Syrian
governments in his ‘victory speech’.
“This
raid was impeccable and could only have taken place with the
acknowledgment and help of certain other nations and people,”
Trump said.
“I
want to thank the nations of Russia, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq,
and I also want to thank the Syrian Kurds for certain support they
were able to give us.”
Meanwhile,
some European
officials have expressed concern over potential ‘blowback’
attacks following
the ISIS leader’s death, with French Interior Minister Christophe
Castaner putting the nation’s police on “high alert”.
“The
possible intensification of jihadist propaganda following this death,
which could possibly call for acts of vengeance, requires the most
extreme vigilance, notable during public events in your departments
in coming days,” Castaner
said.
Veel ophef en hysterisch opgeluchte berichtgeving over de moord op al-Baghdadi, want moord blijft het als iemand wordt gedood zonder een eerlijk proces te hebben gehad, maar ach, daar maalt men al lang niet meer om in het ‘beschaafde westen….’

Nu nog de bazen van al-Baghdadi voor het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) slepen, de bazen ofwel: Obama, (H.) Clinton, Kerry, Trump, Tillerson en Pompeo, daarnaast uiteraard een fiks aantal baasjes van geheime diensten die met voornoemde personen en met IS (ISIS) samenspanden tegen het sjiitische bewind in Irak en tegen het bewind Assad in Syrië…… Voorts is de VS een paar keer betrapt op het leveren van wapens en rollend oorlogstuig aan IS, dit in de Iraakse woestijn…..
De VS stond aan de wieg van IS, hebben deze terroristen in Libië ingezet ten tijde van de westerse oorlog tegen dit eertijds rijkste land van Afrika, dat door westerse terreur is verworden tot bijna het armste land van dat continent……. Na zo ongeveer de vernietiging van Libië, vervoerde de VS grote groepen terroristen waaronder een fiks aantal IS strijders, vanuit dat land naar Irak (met hulp van Egypte), vandaar werden ze bewapend en van rollend oorlogstuig voorzien over de grens met Syrië gebracht, dit om (zoals gezegd) het bewind Assad ten val te brengen…….
Ach het is als met Al Qaida: Osama bin Laden is vermoord door de VS, terwijl dezelfde VS nu al weer jaren samenwerkt met deze terreurgroep en dat ook heeft gedaan voor de moord op bin Laden…….
Al-Baghdadi is dood, alsof hij niet te vervangen is……..
Bij
de protesten in Chili zijn intussen meer dan 1.500 demonstranten
gearresteerd en zijn 19 mensen omgekomen…. Deze protesten kwamen
opgang nadat de regering de tarieven voor de metro verhoogde, echter
dat was de spreekwoordelijke druppel voor de studenten, arbeiders en het arme
deel van het volk, om massaal de straat op te gaan…..
De regering
zet het leger in tegen demonstranten en dat in een land waar de
fascistische junta onder Pinochet een enorm aantal studenten,
vakbondsleiders en politici van links heeft gemarteld, verkracht en vermoord, dit nadat een coup
een eind maakte aan het democratisch gekozen bewind van Salvador Allende, een coup
georganiseerd en geregisseerd door de CIA, dit tijdens de eerste 9/11
in het Chili van 1973….. Allende werd tijdens de coup vermoord……..
Het leger op straat, alsof martelbeul, verkrachter en massamoordenaar Pinochet nog leeft….
Ondanks
het voorgaande berichtten de massamedia in de VS en de rechts
geregeerde landen in Latijns-Amerika positief op de repressie tegen
de demonstranten, die in die media worden afgeschilderd als links
gewelddadig tuig…. Na de protesten van afgelopen vrijdag waarbij
meer dan een miljoen mensen de straat opgingen, heeft president Sebastian
Piñera de regering naar huis gestuurd en
beloofd tegemoet te komen aan de protesten…. Ja nu wel, waar
blijkt dat een overgrote meerderheid van het volk het inhumane en
ijskoude neoliberalisme meer dan zat is en de demonstranten ook het
vertrek van deze Piñera
eisen……
Hetzelfde
geldt voor de protesten in Ecuador, waar de oorspronkelijke volkeren
het land lam legden en een overwinning boekten in de bescherming van
haar gebieden in het oerwoud, waar men verder wilde gaan met de olievervuiling van leefgebieden, door nieuwe olieboringen en
winningen en daarnaast andere commerciële activiteiten te ontwikkelen als bomenkap voor de houtindustrie en landbouw…..
Wat
een verschil met de berichtgeving in die media als het om Venezuela
gaat, terwijl de demonstranten daar wel degelijk zwaar geweld
gebruikten tegen de politie en de ambtenarij….. Deze demonstranten
werden en worden verheerlijkt als waren het helden uit onze 80 Jarige Oorlog,
sterker nog: het aangewende geweld werd toegeschreven aan de politie
en het leger, terwijl het leger niet eens aanwezig was… Ook nadat
de waarheid uitkwam en bleek dat gewelddadige elementen zelfs vanuit
het buitenland werden aangevoerd, hoogstwaarschijnlijk door de CIA,
een terreurorganisatie die al zo vaak heeft gehakt met dezelfde bijl,
heeft men geen rectificaties geplaatst, nee men houdt de leugen
gewoon overeind….. Een situatie verdacht veel lijkt op de zaken
die plaatsvonden en vinden in Syrië en Oekraïne……

Whitewashes Neoliberal Repression in Chile and Ecuador
Paarden (en honden) inzetten tegen mensen, meer dan schunnig en alleen thuishorend in een fascistische dictatuur…
Santiago (FAIR)
– Throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, people are rising up
against right-wing, US-backed governments and their neoliberal
austerity policies.
Currently
in Chile, the government of billionaire Sebastian Piñera has
deployed the army to crush nationwide demonstrations against
inequality sparked by a subway fare hike.
In
Ecuador, indigenous peoples, workers, and students recently brought
the country to a standstill during 11 days of protests against the
gutting of fuel subsidies by President Lenin Moreno as part of an IMF
austerity package.
One
might expect these popular rebellions to receive unreservedly
sympathetic coverage from international media that claim to be on the
side of democracy and the common people. On the contrary, corporate
journalists frequently describe these uprisings as dangerous
alterations of “law and order,” laden with “violence,”
“chaos” and “unrest.”
This
portrait contrasts remarkably with coverage of anti-government
protests in Venezuela, where generally the only violence highlighted
is that allegedly perpetrated by the state. In the eyes of
Western elite opinion, Venezuela’s middle-class opposition have
long been leaders of a legitimate popular protest against an
authoritarian, anti-American regime. Poor people rebelling against
repressive US client states are considered an unacceptable deviation
from this script.
‘Crackdown’
in Venezuela
Corporate
journalists have never been able to contain their enthusiasm for the
right-wing Venezuelan opposition’s repeated coup attempts, which
are regularly cast as a “pro-democracy” movement
(FAIR.org, 5/10/19).
In
2017, Venezuela’s opposition-led four months of violent,
insurrectionary protests demanding early presidential elections,
resulting in over
125 dead,
including protesters, government supporters, and bystanders. It was
the opposition’s fifth major effort to oust the government by force
since 2002.
Despite
the demonstrations featuring attacks on journalists, lynchings and
assassinations of government supporters, they were depicted as a
“uprising” against “authoritarianism” (New
York Times, 6/22/17),
a “rebellion” in the face of “the government’s crackdown”
(Bloomberg, 5/18/17)
and a David-like movement of “young firebrands” facing down a
sinister regime (Guardian, 5/25/17).
Reporters frequently attributed the mounting death toll to state
security forces (France
24, 7/21/17;
Newsweek,6/20/17; Washington
Post, 6/3/17),
while generally ignoring opposition political violence reported to be
responsible for over
30 deaths.
The
pattern was repeated in January when deadly clashes broke out across
the country in the days before and after opposition leader Juan
Guaidó declared himself “interim president” with the US’s
encouragement. Corporate outlets described the events as a “violent
crackdown” (Independent, 1/24/19),
with security forces “spreading terror…to target critics”
(Reuters, 2/3/19)
and “soldiers and paramilitary gunmen…hunting opposition
activists” (Miami
Herald, 1/27/19).
International journalists based their accounts largely on
pro-opposition sources, suppressing inconvenient details that
complicated their Manichean narrative, such as the fact that
some 38% of protests were violent and at least 28% featured armed
confrontations with authorities.
Unlike
in Chile and Ecuador, corporate outlets have consistently vilified
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro—who won 6.2 million votes, or
31% of the electorate last year—as an “authoritarian”
(FAIR.org, 4/11/19, 8/5/19)
or a “dictator” (FAIR.org, 4/11/19),
justifying the latest coup effort.
Chile
‘Riots’
In
recent days, Chileans have taken to the streets in mass
demonstrations against the Piñera administration, following a
further increase in Santiago’s exorbitant subway fare.
Beginning
as high school student-led protests, the movement has escalated into
a full-scale rebellion against the savagely
unequal neoliberal order,
prompting the government to militarize the streets and impose a
curfew for the first time since the Western-backed Pinochet
dictatorship (1973–90).
Despite
the largest protests since the return of democracy, the international
corporate media have largely referred to them in pejorative terms
such as “riots” (CNN, 10/19/19; CNBC, 10/21/19),
“violent unrest” (New
York Times, 10/19/19)
and “chaos” (NPR, 10/19/19; Vice, 10/21/19),
providing a moral casus belli for war against the people.
Revealingly,
no major outlets have described the government’s brutal repression
as a “crackdown,” nor called into question the legitimacy of
Piñera, who was elected in 2017 with the backing of 26% of
registered voters.
It’s
true that international journalists are beginning to reference
allegations of human rights violations reported by Chile’s National
Human Rights Institute,
including, as of October 23, 173 people shot and 18 dead, among them
at least five presumably
at the hands of authorities.
However,
the victims of state violence in Chile have not received anywhere
near the amount of attention international outlets have dedicated to
protester deaths in Venezuela, where the dead have been movingly
profiled (New
York Times, 6/10/17; BBC, 5/14/17)—provided
they were not lynched
by the opposition.
In
two emblematic cases, Manuel Rebolledo, 23, died on October 21 after
being run
over by
a navy vehicle near Concepción, while Ecuadorian national Romario
Veloz, 26, was shot dead the day before at a protest in La Serena.
Neither men have been mentioned by name in Western press reports.
It
would appear that the only worthy victims, in the eyes of US
corporate journalists, are those that have propaganda value from the
standpoint of Western foreign policy interests. Reporters
spontaneously empathize with neoliberal technocrats like Piñera,
even as they occasionally chide them for “excesses.”
“Mr.
Piñera said that he is mindful of the broader grievances that fueled
the unrest… But he seemed to have difficulty coming to grips with
the real source of the population’s frustrations,” the New
York Times (10/21/19)
sympathetically observed, before going on to note that the president
has declared “war” against his own people.
The
paper of record suggested that Chileans might find the imposition of
martial law “jarring,” given that “the military had killed and
tortured thousands of people just decades ago in the name of
restoring order.” But despite the article being headlined “What
You Need to Know About the Unrest in Chile,” the Times did
not find it relevant to mention anywhere that state security forces
were currently maiming and killing demonstrators in the streets, and
allegedly torturing
detainees.
The
dominant narrative fed to the public is that Piñera’s government
has been “inept” in responding to the protests
(Economist, 10/20/19; Reuters, 10/21/19; New
York Times, 10/21/19),
but never criminal or cruel.
No
Western newspapers have published scathing op-eds calling Piñera a
“dictator” and demanding their government take action to “restore
democracy,” as they have done regularly in the case of Venezuela
(FAIR.org, 4/11/19).
Rather, they counsel the billionaire president to address
“inequality,” barring any reference to what is increasingly
coming to resemble state
terror (New
York Times, 10/22/19; Guardian, 10/23/19; Bloomberg, 10/23/19).
Corporate
journalists continue to whitewash Piñera, describing him as
“center-right”
(Guardian, 10/21/19; CNBC, 10/19/19; Reuters, 10/21/19)
and concealing his personal ties to
murderous dictator Augusto Pinochet and those of his top
cabinet members.

Ecuador
‘Violence’
Corporate
journalists have shown only marginally more sympathy to Ecuador’s
recent indigenous-led uprising against IMF-imposed austerity
measures, frequently described in headlines as “violent protests”
(CNN, 10/8/19; Guardian, 10/8/19; USA
Today, 10/9/19; Financial
Times, 10/8/19).
President
Moreno has yet to be labeled by the international media as
“authoritarian,” despite ordering soldiers to repress
demonstrators in the streets, imposing a curfew, suspending basic
civil liberties and arresting rival politicians.
Since
betraying his campaign promise to continue his predecessor Rafael
Correa’s left-wing policies. and embracing the oligarchy he ran
against, Moreno has become the darling of Western elite opinion
(FAIR.org, 2/4/18).
Like
in Chile, corporate outlets have whitewashed Moreno’s
vicious crackdown,
which left seven dead, around a thousand arrested and a similar
figure wounded. However, corporate outlets have been even more
nefarious in obfuscating the origins of the crisis in Ecuador.
As
Joe Emersberger has recently exposed for FAIR (10/23/19),
Western journalists’ favorite lie is that Moreno “inherited a
debt crisis that ballooned as his predecessor and one-time mentor,
former President Rafael Correa, took
out loans for a major dam,
highways, schools, clinics and other projects” (New
York Times, 10/8/19).
In fact, the country’s debt-to-GDP level remains low, though it has
increased slightly under Moreno, due not to public works but to his
pro-elite policies.
Corporate
outlets have for the most part admitted that Moreno has presented no
evidence to back his ludicrous claims of Correa and Maduro supporters
orchestrating the protests; nonetheless, they have, with few
exceptions (DW, 10/14/19; Reuters, 10/12/19),
shamefully ignored Moreno’s draconian persecution of Correaist
politicians (including elected representatives), which he justifies
on the basis of the very same conspiracy theory. This coverage
contrasts sharply with the red carpet treatment regularly provided to
Venezuela’s US-friendly opposition politicians, regardless of how
many coups they perpetrate (Reuters, 4/30/19; LA
Times, 4/30/19; Guardian, 2/6/19).
Western
Media Gendarmerie
It
is not coincidental that Western journalists stand aghast at the
violence of the excluded and exploited in Chile and Ecuador while
rationalizing that spearheaded by Washington-backed opposition elites
in Venezuela.
This
bias has nothing to do with any actual amount of looting or arson.
Rather, it is the eruption of the racialized poor into polite
bourgeois society’s technocratic body politic that is viscerally
violent to local neocolonial elites and their Western
professional-class backers.
Ecuador’s
protests are the latest in a long line of anti-neoliberal uprisings,
which brought down three presidents between 1997 and 2005.
The
rebellion exploding in Chile is the largest in over a generation,
evidencing the terminal legitimacy crisis of the “low-intensity
democracy” crafted by Pinochet to maintain the neoliberal model
imposed at gunpoint. The Chilean uprising has genuinely terrified
elites, leading the right-wing president to wage war on his own
people. At stake is not just the stability of a key Western ally, but
more crucially, neoliberalism’s ideological narrative that has
upheld Chile as a “success
story.”
Corporate
journalists will most likely continue to muffle themselves vis-a-vis
repressive US client states, in the same way that they systematically
conceal the impact of Washington’s sanctions on Venezuela
(FAIR.org, 6/26/19),
which are estimated to have already killed
40,000 Venezuelans since
2017.
If
the first casualty of war is truth, its self-anointed purveyors in
the international media have much blood on their hands indeed.
Sinds een paar weken is het hommeles in Chili (BBC World Service sprak vanmorgen over een paar dagen…), dit na verhoging van de prijs voor het metro gebruik.
Echter er is veel meer aan de hand in Chili dan de reguliere media je vertellen, zo is er een steeds grotere verontwaardiging over het minimumloon, van omgerekend rond de € 400,– per maand, terwijl Chili een duur land is te noemen, zeker in Zuid-Amerikaanse verhoudingen….. Ook de grote ongelijkheid is een doorn in het oog van de demonstranten, die aanvankelijk vooral uit studenten en scholieren bestonden, maar die intussen ook arbeiders en werklozen tot de gelederen kan rekenen…..
Zoals gezegd Chili is een duur land, waar Chili ook een rijk land genoemd kan worden (zeker en alweer in Zuid-Amerikaanse verhoudingen), waar de prijzen voor levensonderhoud hoog zijn en je snapt het al, met een inkomen van € 400,– per maand kan je simpelweg niet rondkomen in Chili……. Verder moeten daar nog de (te) hoge prijzen voor de gezondheidszorg en studie bij genoemd worden, prijzen die voor de gewone Chileen niet te betalen zijn (opvallend, hetzelfde is in Nederland aan de hand)………
Je kan wel raden dat ook de pensioenen voor het grootste deel van de bevolking veel te laag zijn, zo laag dat veel ouderen in schulden zitten en afhankelijk zijn van kerk en/of familie om nog enigszins rond te kunnen komen…..
Overigens is ook de socialistische partij van Chili verantwoordelijk voor deze onlusten, daar de vorige president, Michelle Bachelet, niets heeft gedaan aan de zaken die hiervoor zijn genoemd, exclusief de prijsverhoging voor de metro natuurlijk (Bachelet was president van 2006 tot 2010 en van 2014 tot 2018).
Salvador Allende, de socialistische president (democratisch gekozen), die op 11 september 1973 werd vermoord door het Chileense leger en de CIA, draait zich om in zijn graf…… 11 september 1963, de eerste 9/11 waarin de CIA de hand had….
Gisteravond zijn er 3 mensen omgekomen bij de rellen in Santiago en de regering heeft de noodtoestand uitgeroepen in Santiago en nog een paar grote steden….. Zo was er gisteravond al een avondklok ingesteld in Santiago, echter dat weerhield de demonstranten niet de straat op te gaan.
De Volkskrant wist vanmorgen te melden dat de prijsverhoging voor de metro niet zullen worden teruggedraaid. terwijl BBC World Service vanmorgen om 7.30 uur (CET) al wist te melden dat president Sebastián Piñera heeft aangekondigd dat die prijsverhoging niet door zal gaan…… Ach ja, de reguliere media……
Beste
bezoeker, donderde vandaag met een klap uit m’n stoel toen ik de kop las van het laatste bericht dat Caitlin
Johnstone heeft gepubliceerd. De kop waarin ze ex-president van de
VS, George W. Bush een vredesexpert noemt die waarschuwt voor VS isolationisme, daar dit de wereldvrede bedreigt….. Niet best die klap
beste bezoeker en al zeker niet de enorme lachstuip van ongeveer een
kwartier die ik daarbij opliep….

W. Bush, is de enorme oorlogsmisdadiger die in feite verantwoordelijk
is voor alle doden die in Afghanistan en Irak zijn gevallen, ofwel
zo’n 2 miljoen moorden vallen onder de verantwoording van deze
totaal-idioot die zich liet leiden door een stel psychopathische
massamoordenaars…. En deze oorlogsmisdadiger verzet zich nu tegen
Trump die volgens hem een isolationistische koers zou varen….. Niets
van te merken, behalve dan misschien de leugen dat de VS zich zou
terugtrekken uit Syrië……
Isolationisme
zoals bedoeld door Bush (en andere neoconservatieven) betekent
volgens Johnstone terecht niet langer overal over de wereld
oorlogvoeren, opstanden organiseren in diverse buitenlanden, regimes
omverwerpen, sancties opleggen aan soevereine landen, waardoor bijvoorbeeld in Venezuela al
40.000 kinderen en volwassenen zijn omgekomen, in Iran gaat het ook
al die kant op, al is het aantal slachtoffers gelukkig een enorm stuk
lager (maar wat niet is….)
Het
voorgaande terwijl de VS tegelijkertijd meer dan 800 militaire bases
heeft over de wereld en het budget voor oorlogsvoering de triljard
(ofwel biljoen) dollar begint te benaderen, door jaarlijks enorme kapitalen toe te voegen aan het budget…… (en dan van andere EU-lidstaten eisen dat ze meer uitgeven aan defensie, uh oorlogsvoering……)
Overigens
is Trump tot nu toe geen oorlog begonnen, waar Bush, zoals gezegd, er
een paar op zijn naam heeft staan. Illegale oorlogen die tot op de
dag van vandaag in feite voortduren, vandaar ook dat het aantal
vermoorde slachtoffers zo enorm groot is……
Johnstone
vraagt zich verder af wat erger is, een oorlogsmisdadiger die tot aan
de nek in het bloed van z’n slachtoffers staat, die mensen heeft
laten martelen, ontvoeren en voor ‘eeuwig’ gijzelt op Guantanamo Bay en die
verantwoordelijk is voor militair expansionisme, illegale oorlogen,
het omverwerpen van regimes en die Trump beschuldigt van
isolationisme. Of alleen al het beschuldigen van Trump isolationistisch bezig te zijn…
Dezelfde Trump die zoals gezegd verantwoordelijk is: -voor de dood van meer dan 40.000 Venezolanen, -voor het bezig zijn met het omverwerpen van het bewind in
Iran, niet alleen door CIA acties in dat land, maar
zoals gezegd ook middels sancties die dodelijk zijn voor ouderen,
kinderen en het zwakkere deel van de bevolking (chronisch zieken
enz.), -voor het verkopen van wapens, munitie en ander
oorlogstuig aan Saoedi-Arabië dat bezig is met een genocide in
Jemen…..
Een genocide waar de VS, ook onder Trump aan meewerkt,
eerder zelfs met het in de lucht gratis bijtanken van straaljagers en
bommenwerpers van de Saoedische terreurcoalitie, zodat ze hun
moorddadig werk ‘zo efficiënt mogelijk’ konden uitvoeren en het meehelpen
aan zeeblokkades voor havens in handen van de Houthi rebellen, waar
zelfs schepen met humanitaire hulpgoederen worden tegengehouden (waar
zowel Saoedi-Arabië als de VN deze schepen al hebben gecontroleerd en
geen wapens hebben gevonden….)……
Als
je verder de relatie van de VS (en haar NAVO oorlogshond) met Rusland
ziet, kan je niet anders concluderen dan dat de VS en de NAVO een
uiterst gevaarlijk ‘spel’ spelen langs de grenzen van Rusland,
waarbij men Rusland tot het uiterste tergt, Rusland een nucleaire
staat…… (bijna het jaarrond worden er grote militaire oefeningen van de NAVO gehouden langs die grens, waar de VS ook nog eens kernraketten heeft gestationeerd op de drempel van Rusland, t.w. in Roemenië en Polen……)
Kortom: George W Bush is net zo’n smerige oorlogsmisdadiger en leider van een terreurentiteit als Trump dat is. Het lijkt me eigenlijk niet nodig, maar toch: het is duidelijk dat echt isolationisme van de VS de wereldvrede zeer ten goede zal komen! Yankee go home! (En blijf daar, ga de eigen bevolking maar terroriseren. Oh dom van mij, ook dat doet de VS al een aantal decennia)

(ha! ha! ha! Wat een dwaas en dat was president van de VS!)
Humanity
was treated to an important lecture on peace at a recent event for
the NIR School of the Heart by none other than Ellen Degeneres BFF
and world-renowned peace expert George W Bush.
“I
don’t think the Iranians believe a peaceful Middle East is in their
national interest,” said the former president according to The
Washington Post‘s
Josh Rogin, whose brief
Twitter thread on
the subject appears to be the only record of Bush’s speech anywhere
online.
“An
isolationist United States is destabilizing around the world,”
Bush said during the speech in what according to Rogin was a shot at
the sitting president. “We are becoming isolationist and that’s
dangerous for the sake of peace.”
For
those who don’t speak fluent neoconservative, “isolationist”
here means taking even one small step in any direction other than
continued military expansionism into every square inch of planet
Earth, and “We are becoming isolationist” here means “We
have hundreds of military bases circling the globe, our annual
military budget is steadily climbing toward the trillion-dollar mark,
and we are engaged in countless undeclared wars and regime change
interventions all around the world.”
George
W Bush takes a direct shot at Trump: “An isolationist United States
is destabilizing around the world. We are becoming isolationist and
that’s dangerous for the sake of peace.”
It
is unclear why Bush is choosing to present himself as a more peaceful
president than Trump given that by this point in his first term Bush
had launched not one but two full-scale ground invasion wars whose
effects continue to ravage the Middle East to this very day,
especially given the way both presidents appear to be in furious
agreement on foreign policy matters like Iran. But here we are.
But
these bogus warnings about a dangerous, nonexistent threat of
isolationism are nothing new for Dubya. In his
farewell address to the nation,
Bush said the following:
“In
the face of threats from abroad, it can be tempting to seek comfort
by turning inward. But we must reject isolationism and its companion,
protectionism. Retreating behind our borders would only invite
danger. In the 21st century, security and prosperity at home depend
on the expansion of liberty abroad. If America does not lead the
cause of freedom, that cause will not be led.”
As
we discussed
recently,
use of the pro-war buzzword “isolationism” has been
re-emerging from its post-Bush hibernation as a popular one-word
debunk of any opposition to continued US military expansionism in all
directions, and it is deceitful in at least three distinct ways.
Firstly, the way it is used consistently conflates isolationism with
non-interventionism, which are
two wildly different things.
Secondly, none of the mainstream political figures who are
consistently tarred with the “isolationist” pejorative are
isolationists by any stretch of the imagination, or even proper
non-interventionists; they all support many interventionist positions
which actual non-interventionists object to. Thirdly, calling someone
who opposes endless warmongering an “isolationist” makes as
much sense as calling someone who opposes rape a man-hating prude;
opposing an intrinsically evil act is not the same as withdrawing
from the world.
The
Forever War Is So Normalized That Opposing It Is “Isolationism”

Nobody
actually believes that US foreign policy is under any threat of
anything remotely resembling isolationism. The real purpose of this
buzzword is to normalize the forever war and drag the Overton window
so far in the direction of ghoulish hawkishness that the opposite of
“war” is no longer “peace”, but “isolationism”.
By pulling this neat little trick, the propagandists of the
political/media class have successfully made endless war seem like a
perfectly normal thing to be happening and any small attempt to scale
it back look weird and freakish, when the truth is the exact
opposite. War is weird, freakish and horrific, and peace is of course
normal. This is the only healthy way to see things.
It
would actually be great if George W Bush could shut the fuck up
forever, ideally in a locked cell following a public war tribunal.
Following that, at the very least people should stop looking at him
as a cuddly wuddly teddy bear with whom it’s fun to share
a sporting arena suite or
a piece
of hard candy or hang
award medals on for
his treatment of veterans. This mass murdering monster has
been growing
more and more popular with
Democrats lately just because he offers mild criticisms of Trump
sometimes, as have war pigs like Bill
Kristol and Max Boot and even
John Bolton for
the same reason, and it needs to stop. And in the name of a million
dead Iraqis, please don’t start consulting this man on matters of
peace.
De New
York Times (NYT) heeft propaganda maken tegen Rusland tot haar
specialisme gemaakt. Zoals je begrijpt gaat het dan m.n. om angst
voor de Russen te cultiveren, waarbij men bij wijze van spreken geen blad voor de mond
neemt…..
De
nieuwste manipulatie van het volk bestaat uit een fantasie waarin men
spreekt over een Russische elite spionage eenheid die de EU moet
destabiliseren. De eenheid zou pas onlangs ontdekt zijn, draagt de
aanduiding ‘Unit 29155’ en zou door het Kremlin worden aangestuurd.
Deze
eenheid zou verantwoordelijk zijn voor: -een poging in 2015 om een
Bulgaarse wapenhandelaar te vermoorden, -de destabilisatie van Moldavië, -een couppoging tegen de regering van Montenegro en de
poging om ‘dubbelspion’ Skripal te vermoorden……. Wat betreft de laatst genoemde: je weet wel, het meer
dan belachelijke verhaal in episodes dat Rusland als dader moest
aanwijzen voor de vergiftiging van Skripal en zijn dochter, iets waarvoor tot op heden geen flinter aan bewijs is
gevonden, men heeft zelfs met de natte vinger in de lucht de daders
aangewezen, waarvoor men de camerabeelden van het vliegveld gebruikte
waarop een paar Russen waren te zien en tja met 2 Russische mannen lag er een horizon
aan leugens open, een horizon aan fantasieën waarmee men de Russen
beschuldigde van de smerigste zaken……
Uiteraard
haalt de NYT weer het Russiagate sprookje aan door te stellen dat het
bestaan van deze eenheid nog eens onderstreept dat Putin bezig is met
een ‘hybride oorlogsvoering’ tegen het westen middels een mix van
propaganda, hacken (o.a. verkiezingsmanipulatie) en
desinformatie….. Het publiek van de NYT wordt verteld dat Rusland
zich in oorlog waant met de ‘westerse liberale orde’ (lees:
neoliberale, of fascistische orde) die het als een bedreiging ziet…… In andere, maar juiste context gezien, is dit nog waar ook…. (vergeet niet dat de VS zich ook tot grote vijand van Rusland heeft gemaakt en nu, in tegenstelling tot de Koude Oorlog, direct en illegaal voor de westelijke grenzen van Rusland staat…….)
Dmitri Peskov, een woordvoerder van het Kremlin liet onlangs weten dat er de laatste paar jaar een westerse campagne gaande is die Rusland demoniseert en dat deze campagne steeds verder wordt geïntensiveerd, dit met gebruikmaking van o.a. ‘valse informatie’ die door hem werd afgedaan als behorend tot de ‘Pulp Fiction categorie’. De Russische ambassade in GB heeft onlangs een compilatie gebracht van valse westerse artikelen over Rusland en haar internationaal handelen, waarbij NYT inderdaad opvalt door de grote hoeveelheid van deze artikelen…….
Het is zeker dat de geheime diensten de reguliere massamedia in de zak hebben en dat geldt nog meer voor de NYT, Time Inc. en CBS….. In een schrijven uit 1977 van de gelauwerde journalist Carl Bernstein, vertelt deze o.a. over de inspanningen van de CIA om systematisch honderden reporters, columnisten, eindredacteuren en omroepnetwerken zodanig te bespelen dat men de beschuldigingen en andere anti-Sovjet inspanningen gedaan door geheime diensten als waarheid verkondigt en daarmee vooral de Sovjet-Unie demoniseerde……
John Stockwell, in de 70er jaren een CIA medewerker stelde al eens dat de VS een vijand nodig heeft om de oorlogsmachine draaiend te houden….. Eén van de redenen om de TwinTowers en gebouw 7 van het WTC op te blazen, immers met het verdwijnen van de Sovjet-Unie viel een vijand weg die cruciaal was voor de VS wapenindustrie…. Daar de ‘oorlog tegen terreur’, die gevoerd werd middels grootschalige bloedige terreur tegen andere volkeren, niet genoeg opleverde aan contracten*, keek men opnieuw naar Rusland als ‘de ideale vijand’ die een wapenrace, of zelfs een kernwapenrace, mogelijk maakte….. Immers zo goed als deze doodsindustrie draaide ten tijde van de Sovjet-Unie (in verhouding tot de situatie nu) werd nog niet gehaald en dat heeft de wens doen herleven om Rusland weer als de grote vijand aan te wijzen en dat is gelukt, met medeneming van China, Noord-Korea en natuurlijk Iran…….
Voor deze zaken zijn bewijzen te over, neem de leugens voorafgaand aan de zoveelste illegale oorlog van de VS, waar de media deze leugens als waarheid verkondigden, neem de tijd voorafgaand aan de illegale oorlog tegen Irak….. Bij mijn weten is er geen mediaorgaan waar men deze leugens als waarheid verkondigde, die daarvoor een rectificatie heeft geplaatst, men doet net alsof de ‘journalistieke neus’ bloedt….
Lees
het artikel dat Finian Cunningham schreef en dat eerder verscheen op Information Clearing House, waarin deze dieper ingaat op de zoveelste valse beschuldiging aan het adres van Rusland…. Terwijl
juist het westen, met de VS voorop, bezig is de boel in

101: The New York Times pumps another ‘evil Russia’ plot

Clearing House” –The
“newspaper of record” New York Times arguably holds the record
for peddling anti-Russia scare stories. This week the NY Times
delivered yet another classic spook tale dressed as serious news.
Among
its splash articles, under the headline ‘Top
Secret Russian Unit Seeks to Destabilize Europe, Security Officials
Say’, readers were told of an elite Russian spy team which has,
allegedly, only recently been discovered.
It’s
called “Unit
29155”
and purportedly directed by the Kremlin to “destabilize
Europe”
with “subversion,
sabotage and assassination.”
According
to the NY Times, this crack squad of Russia’s most ruthless
military intelligence agents were involved in an attempted
assassination of an arms dealer in Bulgaria in 2015; the
destabilization of Moldova; a failed coup against the Montenegrin
government; and the alleged poisoning of former double agent Sergei
Skripal in England last year.
The
article states: “Western
security officials have now concluded that these operations, and
potentially many others, are part of a coordinated and ongoing
campaign to destabilize Europe, executed by an elite unit inside the
Russian intelligence system skilled in subversion, sabotage and
assassination.”
The
NY Times adds: “The
purpose of Unit 29155, which has not been previously reported,
underscores the degree to which the Russian president, Vladimir V.
Putin, is actively fighting the West with his brand of so-called
hybrid warfare — a blend of propaganda, hacking attacks and
disinformation — as well as open military confrontation.”
This
is all because, the readers are told, “The
Kremlin sees Russia as being at war with a Western liberal order that
it views as an existential threat.”
In
response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed it
as more of the “pulp
fiction category”
which Western news media have manufactured with seeming increasing
intensity over recent years. Peskov pointed out that Moscow has
repeatedly stated its desire to normalize relations with Western
states and the European Union in particular, contradicting the theme
of the NY Times’ piece.
Indeed,
the Russian Embassy in Britain recently published a
compilation of false articles peddled by Western media over the past
four years. The NY Times features prominently as one of the main
purveyors of scare stories about alleged malign Russian activities,
from hacking into presidential elections, to targeting American power
grids, to covert collusion with President Donald Trump.
For
students of Propaganda 101, this week’s tale makes a case study of
how disinformation is disseminated in the guise of “news
reporting.”
First
of all, the NY Times reporter, Michael Schwirtz, gives a meandering
account of lurid dirty deeds performed in various international
locations allegedly carried out by the supposed “elite” Kremlin
hybrid warriors. But tellingly, there are no details evidencing
Russian involvement. It’s all lurid speculation spiced with
fear-mongering, which reads like a pallid John le Carré spy novel.
Then,
the usual giveaway that the NY Times is engaging in disinformation,
it quotes anonymous security officials for apparent verification of
its claims about “Unit 29155”. This is tacit admission of who the
real authors are: Western spooks.
Next,
a neat effort to give the lame story some legs is to quote named
public figures. But these sources don’t confirm the existence of
the alleged Kremlin unit; they are merely invited to speculate on its
existence and presumed malign purpose. One of those named sources is
MI6 chief Alex Younger. Yes, that’s right, the paper of record is
quoting British military intelligence as a reliable source for public
information. Another named source is Peter Zwack, who is described as
a former US military intelligence officer who worked at the American
Embassy in Moscow. Zwack is quoted as describing Russians as
“organically
ruthless”
(whatever that means), while the paper actually admits that “he
was not aware of the unit’s existence.”
The
purpose of throwing a few names into the reporting mix is to lend a
veneer of credibility to the nebulous, unverifiable, scary stuff that
the anonymous spooks feed the reporter.
A
special mention must be given to a third named source quoted by the
NY Times. He is Eerik-Niiles Kross, an Estonian lawmaker and former
military intelligence chief in Tallinn.
He styles himself
as “Estonia’s
James Bond,”
and is known for his salacious Russophobic warnings of “imminent
invasion of the Baltic states” – over the past three decades.
Kross is quoted to speculate on the existence of the alleged Kremlin
hybrid warfare unit. Of course, he dutifully serves up his notorious
anti-Russian fear-mongering. But he is not confirming. His
speculation is pseudo-validation of information that is essentially
fictional.
All
in all, the latest installment of anti-Russia propaganda from the NY
Times this week is a damp squib among many previous baseless reports
of alleged Kremlin malign activity. If it serves any purpose, it is
perhaps a choice illustration of how disinformation is sneakily,
insidiously presented as ‘news’. The fact that this should appear
in a Pulitzer Prize-winning, supposedly premier, American newspaper
is the disturbing part.
But
it is no surprise to those who have long studied how the US corporate
media has been under the control of state intelligence agencies for
many decades, especially after the Second World War and during the
subsequent Cold War against the Soviet Union.
In
a seminal essay in
1977 for Rolling Stone magazine, award-winning journalist Carl
Bernstein documented how the CIA systematically cultivated hundreds
of reporters, columnists, editors, publishing executives and
broadcast networks to function as conduits for disinformation –
much of it directed at demonizing the Soviet Union.
“From
the outset, the use of journalists was among the CIA’s most
sensitive undertakings,”
writes Bernstein.
He
added: “By
far the most valuable of these associations, according to CIA
officials, have been with the New York Times, CBS and Time Inc.”
How
the CIA goes about planting false stories in the American and
European media is outlined in this candid interview by
John Stockwell, who was former National Security Council coordinator
for the agency during the 1970s. Stockwell also added: “Enemies
are necessary for the wheels of the US military machine to turn.”
You
may wonder, if the Cold War ended nearly 30 years ago when the Soviet
Union dissolved, why then do the NY Times and other Western media
outlets continue to pump out anti-Russian propaganda? But that
assumes the Cold War was primarily about the US opposing the ideology
of communism. It wasn’t. It was, and still is, all about imposing
control over the masses so they don’t ever challenge the power
structure that deprives them of full democratic rights and decent
livelihoods.
In
a recent interview,
philosopher André Vitchek makes the point that Western politicians
and media like the NY Times keep harping on Cold War scare stories
about evil foreigners in order “to distract their citizens from
thinking about their increasingly limited freedoms and diminishing
standards of living.”
The
Cold War continues, and anti-Russia hysteria is but a distraction, as
was the anti-Soviet hysteria. The aim is to distract the public from
the real Cold War which is a war by the elites against democracy ever
being actually realized among the masses.

Alsof hem het iets interesseert of VS burgers uit de grote onderlaag wel of geen toegang hebben tot de gezondheidszorg, sterker nog hij wil de beperkte toegang tot die zorg, zoals ingevoerd door Obama, weer ‘van de kaart vegen…….’

Hoe is het mogelijk dat westerse landen de VS nog serieus nemen en niet pleiten voor sancties tegen dat ‘land’, anderen landen moeten e.e.a. wel ondergaan, terwijl ze nog niet in de schaduw kunnen staan van wat Trump zegt en doet, ook gezien wat de VS aan geweld, of zeg maar gerust terreur uitoefent op wereldschaal…….. Daarmee zijn m.i. de westerse regeringen die goede banden onderhouden met de VS en zich middels de NAVO laten misbruiken door de VS, mede verantwoordelijk voor wat Trump zegt en doet! Oekraïense president Volodymyr Zelensky wil vrede met de rebellen in
de Donbass-regio en staat hen toe een verkiezing uit te schrijven, bovendien belooft hij autonomie aan het volk in die regio.
Zoals te
verwachten was: de neonazi’s zijn woedend en demonstreren in
Oekraïense steden, waaronder Kiev en ook het Maidanplein daar is weer
gevuld met neonazi’s…..
Alsof
hij een zegen was voor Oekraïne heeft de zwaar corrupte ex-president
en neonazi Porosjenko een grote bek over de stappen van Zelensky,
‘immers je moet er niet aan denken, vrede in de Donbass-regio……’ Wat
moeten die neonazi-bataljons dan doen, bataljons die bij
bombardementen van burgerdoelen (zware oorlogsmisdaad) bepaalde
ritmes maken, waarbij ze hard lachen, straatmuzikant worden?’
President Zelensky is van Joodse afkomst en zoals je begrijpt wordt ook dat door de neonazi’s aangegrepen om antisemitische tekeer te gaan….. Het
wachten is op de eerste zware kritiek op Zelensky van de EU en haar
lidstaten, ook zij hebben liever oorlog in de Donbass-regio en zien
de neonazi’s als helden die zich verzetten tegen invloed vanuit
Moskou….. De Oekraïners moeten bloeden voor het verdrag met de EU, i.p.v. het
sluiten van lucratieve verdragen met Rusland…… Overigens is het overgrote deel van de miljarden aan EU-hulpgelden, inclusief belastinggeld van jou en mij, verdwenen in de zakken van de Porosjenko kliek, geteisem met bankrekeningen in het buitenland, Porosjenko zou zelfs 2 bankrekeningen in Nederland hebben….
Het is
welhaast zeker dat de VS, naast inzet van de CIA, veel verder zal
gaan en het niet zal pikken als Zelensky doorgaat op wat de VS een ‘verkeerd ingeslagen weg’ noemt…. De VS wil het grensgebied van Oekraïne met
Rusland beheersen en toevoegen aan het enorme grensgebied met Rusland
dat het in feite controleert met haar NAVO-partners (onder militair opperbevel van de VS), tja dat gaat niet lukken met een figuur als

Protests Rage as
Ukraine’s President Zelensky Allows Election in Donbass
(ZH) — Comedian
turned president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s unlikely rise
to power was based in large part on convincing
voters that he would dramatically ease tensions with Russia and
seek a peaceful resolution to the war in Donbass, raging since 2014.
But
now in a potentially explosive Maiden 2.0 scenario, hardcore
Ukrainian nationalists have taken to the Kiev square which has come
to symbolize resistance to Russia in order to protest the popular
president’s dovish and
rapprochement-signalling policies.Hours
after Zelensky gave an unprecedented go ahead to allow a local
election in Donbass which
could result in Kiev granting a special status to the region,
hundreds of nationalists flooded the square holding signs that
read: “No
to capitulation!”.
Zelensky
insisted all candidates and political parties should be allowed to
run according to Ukrainian law, which has enraged the anti-Russian
nationalists, who say Ukraine’s sovereignty is on the line. The new
election has the blessing of Russia and European monitors.
Both
government and pro-Russian separatist forces have agreed
to withdraw troops from key locations in the Donetsk and Luhansk
regions next
week to ensure “free and fair” elections, which international
monitors will also observe.
One
journalist and political commentator noted the neo-Nazi imagery used
in this and other hardline nationalist protests in Kiev’s Maidan,
which has for years tainted some of the country’s far right
militias and political parties.
Former president
Petro Poroshenko also added fuel to the fire, saying
the agreement is
“a capitulation to Russia”.
“Without
that, this [Minsk agreement] is capitulation to Russia. I draw your
attention to the fact that they [the Ukrainian government] were not
offered anything, they were offered only to be there at the meeting.
And for this meeting Ukraine risks paying and surrendering,” he
said.
President
Zelensky’s first working visit to the restive Donbass region in May

Poroshenko
further echoed other critics who’ve said Ukraine is not gaining
anything from the agreement after sacrificing soldiers that died
fighting the separatists in a conflict that’s taken 13,000
lives – thousands of them civilians – on both
sides.
Meanwhile,
Russia has welcomed the news, with one senior Russian
politician hailing
it as“a
victory for common sense and an overall success.” Kremlin
officials also said they hope this will lead to substantive peace
talks on the ground.

Maxwell werkten voor de Israëlische geheime dienst……. Volgens deze
figuur werd het seksnetwerk van Epstein gebruikt om vooraanstaande
personen, zoals machtige politici (o.a. Bill Clinton en Tony Blair), te chanteren. Deze geheime dienst
heeft de chantage dienst opgezet en….. gebruikt!

was overigens al duidelijk dat het netwerk van Epstein werd gebruikt
om vooraanstaande politici te chanteren daar zij kinderen seksueel

je mee kan doen wat je wilt…….. Vreemd genoeg hebben de reguliere
westerse massamedia vooral aandacht aan Epstein besteed, waar ze zijn

Ari
Ben-Menashe heeft overigens wel meer te vertellen, bijvoorbeeld dat
hij in de 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw samen met Robert Maxwell
betrokken was bij de Iran-Contra-Affaire…….. Dezelfde Maxwell
introduceerde Ben-Menashe bij Jeffrey Epstein in het midden van die
jaren 80.
Maxwell
had trouwens een heel netwerk in Israël en daar maakte ook Ariel
Sharon deel van uit, Sharon de beestachtige oorlogsmisdadiger die
verantwoordelijk was voor de massamoord in Sabra en
Shatila, het Palestijnse vluchtelingenkamp en de aangrenzende wijk in Beiroet, Libanon……
Voorafgaand aan een interview met Robert Parry in 2012 over Iran Contra en andere smerige geheime acties in de 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw, ging het huis van Ben-Menashe in Montreal in vlammen op, e.e.a. als gevolg van een aanval met een brandbom waarin een vloeistof die alleen door militairen wordt gebruikt, het is dan ook wel duidelijk dat Israël Ben-Menashe de mond wilde snoeren…….

A
recent interview given by a former high-ranking official in Israeli
military intelligence has claimed that Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual
blackmail enterprise was an Israel intelligence operation run for the
purpose of entrapping powerful individuals and politicians in the
United States and abroad.
Since
the apparent death by suicide of Jeffrey Epstein in a Manhattan
prison, much has come to light about his depraved activities and
methods used to sexually abuse underage girls and entrap the rich and
powerful for the purposes of blackmail. Epstein’s ties to
intelligence, described in-depth in a recentMintPress investigative
series,
have continued to receive minimal mainstream media coverage, which
has essentially moved on from the Epstein scandal despite the fact
that his many co-conspirators remain on the loose.
For
those who have examined Epstein’s ties to intelligence, there are
clear links to both U.S. intelligence and Israeli intelligence,
leaving it somewhat open to debate as to which country’s
intelligence apparatus was closest to Epstein and most involved in
his blackmail/sex-trafficking activities. A recent interview given by
a former high-ranking official in Israeli military intelligence has
claimed that Epstein’s sexual blackmail enterprise was an Israel
intelligence operation run for the purpose of entrapping powerful
individuals and politicians in the United States and abroad.
In an
interview with
Zev Shalev, former CBS
News executive
producer and award-winning investigative journalist for Narativ,
the former senior executive for Israel’s Directorate of Military
Intelligence, Ari Ben-Menashe, claimed not only to have met Jeffrey
Epstein and his alleged madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, back in the 1980s,
but that both Epstein and Maxwell were already working
with Israeli intelligence during that time period.
“They
found a niche”
In an
interview last
week with the independent outlet Narativ,
Ben-Menashe, who himself was involved in Iran-Contra arms deals, told
his interviewer Zev Shalev that he had been introduced to Jeffrey
Epstein by Robert Maxwell in the mid-1980s while Maxwell’s and
Ben-Menashe’s involvement with Iran-Contra was ongoing. Ben-Menashe
did not specify the year he met Epstein.
Ben-Menashe
told Shalev that “he [Maxwell] wanted us to accept him [Epstein] as
part of our group …. I’m not denying that we were at the time a
group that it was Nick Davies [Foreign Editor of the
Maxwell-Owned Daily
Mirror],
it was Maxwell, it was myself and our team from Israel, we were doing
what we were doing.” Past reporting by Seymour Hersh and
others revealed
that Maxwell,
Davies and Ben-Menashe were involved in the transfer and sale of
military equipment and weapons from Israel to Iran on behalf of
Israeli intelligence during this time period.
He
then added that Maxwell had stated during the introduction that “your
Israeli bosses have already approved” of Epstein. Shalev later
noted that Maxwell “had an extensive network in Israel at the time,
which included the then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, according to
Ben-Menashe.”
Ben-Menashe
went on to say that he had “met him [Epstein] a few times in
Maxwell’s office, that was it.” He also said he was not aware of
Epstein being involved in arms deals for anyone else he knew at the
time, but that Maxwell wanted to involve Epstein in the arms transfer
in which he, Davies and Ben-Menashe were engaged on Israel’s
behalf.

However,
as MintPress reported
in Part
IV of
the investigative series “Inside
the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal: Too Big to Fail,”
Epstein was involved with several arms dealers during this period of
time, some of whom were directly involved in Iran-Contra arms deals
between Israel and Iran. For instance, after leaving Bear Stearns in
1981, Epstein began
working in
the realms of shadow finance as a self-described “financial bounty
hunter,” where he would both hunt down and hide money for powerful
people. One of these powerful individuals was Adnan Khashoggi, a
Saudi arms dealer with close ties to both Israeli and U.S.
intelligence and one of the main brokers of Iran-Contra arms deals
between Israel and Iran. Epstein would later forge a business
relationship with a CIA front company involved in another aspect of
Iran-Contra, the airline Southern Air Transport, on behalf of Leslie
Wexner’s company, The Limited.
During
this period, it is also known that Epstein became well acquainted
with the British arms dealer Sir Douglas Leese, who collaborated with
Khashoggi on at least one British-Saudi arms deal in the 1980s.
Leese would
later introduce Epstein
to Steven Hoffenberg, calling Epstein a “genius” and describing
his lack of morals during that introduction. Thus, there are
indications that Epstein was involved with Middle Eastern arms deals,
including some related to Iran-Contra, during this period. In
addition, Epstein would later claim (and then subsequently deny)
having worked for the CIA during this period.
After
having been introduced to Epstein, Ben-Menashe claimed that neither
he nor Davies were impressed with Epstein and considered him “not
very competent.” He added that Ghislaine Maxwell had “fallen for”
Epstein and that he believed that the romantic relationship between
his daughter and Epstein led Robert Maxwell to work to bring the
latter into the “family business” — i.e., Maxwell’s dealings
with Israeli intelligence. This information is very revealing, given
that the narrative, until now at least, has been that Ghislaine
Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein did not meet and begin their relationship
until after Robert Maxwell’s death in 1991, after which Ghislaine
moved to New York.
Ben-Menashe
says that well after the introduction, though again he does not
specify what year, Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein began a
sexual blackmail operation with the purpose of extorting U.S.
political and public figures on behalf of Israeli military
intelligence. He stated:
In
this case what really happened, my take on it, in the later thing, is
that these guys were seen as agents. They weren’t really competent
to do very much. And so they found a niche for themselves —
blackmailing American and other political figures.”
He
then confirmed, when prompted, that they were blackmailing Americans
on behalf of Israeli intelligence.
In
response to his statement, Zev Shalev replied, “But, you know,
for most people it’s hard for them to think of Israel as being …
blackmailing their leaders in the United States, it’s a very …”
at which point, Ben-Menashe interrupted and the following exchange
took place:
Ari
Ben-Menashe: You’re kidding? [laughs]…. It was
quite their M.O. Sleeping around is not a crime, it may be
embarrassing, but it’s not a crime, but sleeping with underage
girls is a crime.
Shalev: It
was a crime in 2000 as well, but they let him off that…
Ben-Menashe: And
that it is [why] always so he [Epstein] made sure these girls were
underage.
In
addition, when Shalev asked Ben-Menashe about the
relationship between
Jeffrey Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak,
Ben-Menashe stated “After a while, you know, what Mr. Epstein was
doing was collecting intelligence on people in the United States. And
so if you want to go to the U.S. if you’re a high-profile
politician you want to know information about people.” Ben-Menashe
subsequently stated that Barak was obtaining compromising information
(i.e., blackmail) that Epstein had acquired on powerful people in the
United States.
PROMIS,
sex, and blackmail
If
Robert Maxwell did recruit Epstein and bring him into the “family
business” and the world of Israeli intelligence, as Ben-Menashe has
claimed, it provides supporting evidence for information provided
to MintPress by a former U.S. intelligence official,
who chose to remain anonymous in light of the sensitivity of the
claim.
This
source, who has direct knowledge of the unauthorized use of PROMIS to
support covert U.S. and Israeli intelligence projects,
told MintPress that
“some of the proceeds from the illicit sales of PROMIS were made
available to Jeffrey Epstein for use in compromising targets of
political blackmail.” As was noted in a Mintpress series
on the Epstein scandal,
much of Epstein’s funding also came from Ohio billionaire Leslie
Wexner, who has documented ties to both organized crime and U.S. and
Israeli intelligence.
After
the PROMIS software was stolen from its rightful owner and developer,
Inslaw Inc., through the collusion of both U.S. and Israeli
officials, it was marketed mainly by two men: Earl Brian, a close
aide to Ronald Reagan, later U.S. envoy to Iran and close friend of
Israeli spymaster Rafi Eitan; and Robert Maxwell. Brian sold the
bugged software through his company, Hadron Inc., while Maxwell sold
it through an Israeli company he acquired called Degem. Before and
following Maxwell’s acquisition of Degem, the company was a
known front for
Mossad operations and Mossad operatives in Latin America often posed
as Degem employees.
With
Maxwell — Epstein’s alleged recruiter and father of Epstein’s
alleged madam — having been one of the main salespeople involved in
selling PROMIS software on behalf of intelligence, he would have been
in a key position to furnish Epstein’s nascent sexual blackmail
operation with the proceeds from the sale of PROMIS.
This
link between Epstein’s sexual blackmail operation and the PROMIS
software scandal is notable given that the illicit use of PROMIS by
U.S. and Israeli intelligence has been for blackmail purposes on U.S.
public figures and politicians, as was described in a
recent MintPress report.
Can
an ex-spy be trusted?
When
dealing in the world of deception and intrigue that defines
intelligence operations, it is often difficult to determine whether
any individual linked to an intelligence agency is telling the truth.
Indeed, in the United States, there are examplesof
elected intelligence officials committing perjury and lying to
Congress on
several occasions with
no consequences, and of intelligence officials feeding politically
motivated and untrue information to agency assets in the media.
So,
are Ari Ben-Menashe’s claims regarding Epstein and the Maxwells
trustworthy? In addition to the aforementioned, corroborating
information for his claims, a review of Ben-Menashe’s
post-intelligence career suggests this is the case.

Prior
to his arrest in November 1989, Ben-Menashe was a high-ranking
officer in a special unit of Israeli military intelligence. He
would later
claim that
his arrest for attempting to sell American-made weapons to Iran was
politically motivated, as he had threatened to expose what the U.S.
government had done with the stolen PROMIS software if the U.S. did
not cease providing Saddam Hussein’s Iraq with chemical weapons.
Ben-Menashe was later
acquitted when
a U.S. court determined that his involvement in the attempted sale of
military equipment to Iran was done on behalf of the Israeli state.
After
his arrest, Ben-Menashe was visited in prison by Robert Parry, the
former Newsweek contributor
and Associated
Press reporter
who would later found and run Consortium
News until
his recent passing last year. Parry remembered
that,
during that interview, “Ben-Menashe offered me startling new
information about the Iran-Contra scandal, which I thought that I
knew quite well.”
Israel’s
government immediately began to attack Ben-Menashe’s credibility
following his interview with Parry, and claimed that Ben-Menashe had
never worked for Israeli intelligence. When Parry soon found
evidence that
Ben-Menashe had indeed served in Israeli military intelligence,
Israel’s government was then forced to admit that he had worked for
military intelligence, but only as a “low-level translator.”
Yet, the
documentation Parry
had uncovered described Ben-Menashe as having served in “key
positions” and performed “complex and sensitive assignments.”
A
year later, Ben-Menashe would be interviewed by another journalist,
Seymour Hersh. It would be Ben-Menashe who first revealed to Hersh
secrets about Israel’s nuclear program and the fact that British
media mogul Robert Maxwell was an Israeli spy, revelations that Hersh
would not only independently corroborate but include in his book The
Samson Option: Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal and American Foreign
Policy.
Hersh was then sued by Robert Maxwell and the Maxwell-owned Mirror
Group for libel. The case was later
settled in
Hersh’s favor, as the claims Hersh had made were true and not
libelous. As a result, the Mirror Group paid Hersh for damages,
covered his legal costs, and issued him a formal apology.
After
Ben-Menashe’s interviews by Hersh and Parry, Israel’s government
was apparently concerned enough about what Ben-Menashe would tell
congressional investigators that it attempted
to kidnap him and
bring him back to Israel to face state charges, much like Israeli
intelligence had done to Israel’s nuclear-weapons whistleblower
Mordechai Vanunu. The plan was foiled largely thanks to Parry.
Parry,
who broke many key stories related to the Iran-Contra scandal in the
1980s and beyond, was tipped off by a U.S. intelligence source about
a joint U.S.-Israel plan to have Ben-Menashe first be denied entry to
the United States on his planned trip to give congressional
testimony. Per the plan, Ben-Menashe would be denied entry to the
U.S. in Los Angeles and then be deported to Israel, where he would
have stood trial for “exposing state secrets.” Parry called
Ben-Menashe and convinced him to delay his flight until he secured a
guarantee for safe passage from the U.S. government.
Ben-Menashe
subsequently gave a
sworn statement to
the House Judiciary Committee that mostly focused on U.S.-Israel
collusion regarding the theft and creation of a “backdoor” into
the PROMIS software. Ben-Menashe offered to name names and provide
corroborating evidence for several of his claims if he was offered
immunity by the committee, which, for whatever reason. declined that
request.
Prior
to the conclusion of the Hersh “libel” trial, which would later
uphold Ben-Menashe’s claims regarding Robert Maxwell’s Mossad
activities as true, there was a concerted effort in the U.S. press to
downplay Ben-Menashe’s credibility. For instance, Newsweek —
in an article on Ben-Menashe entitled “One
Man, Many Tales”
— claimed that “inconsistencies may undermine Ben-Menashe’s
testimony in the British courtroom proceedings,” citing
inconsistencies from sources in Israel’s government and Israeli
intelligence as well as Ben-Menashe’s
ex-wife and
Israeli journalist Shmuel (or Samuel) Segev, a former
IDF colonel.
It goes without saying that such sources had much to gain from any
effort to discredit Ben-Menashe’s claims.
According
to Parry, this media campaign, which employed American journalists
with close
ties to
Israel’s government and intelligence agencies, was very successful
“in marginalizing Ben-Menashe by 1993, at least in the eyes of the
Washington Establishment.” After a years-long media campaign to
discredit Ben-Menashe, “the Israelis seemed to view him as a
declining threat, best left alone. He was able to pick up the pieces
of his life, creating a second act as an international political
consultant and businessman arranging sales of grain.” The effort to
marginalize Ben-Menashe has continued well into recent years, with
mainstream news outlets still referring to him as a “self-described
ex-Israeli spy”
— despite the well-documented fact that Ben-Menashe worked for
Israeli intelligence — as a means of downplaying his claims
regarding his time in Israel’s intelligence service.
After
the conclusion of the Hersh libel trial, Ben-Menashe became an
international political consultant who “surrounded his far-flung
business activities in secrecy and got involved with some
controversial international figures, such as Zimbabwe’s leader
Robert Mugabe,” and “conducted
his international consulting business … in a wide variety of global
hotspots, including conflict zones,” according to Parry. In
addition to Mugabe, Ben-Menashe has
also recently come underfirefor
his consulting work on behalf of Sudan’s military junta and
Venezuelan opposition politician Henri Falcón.
Ben-Menashe
has also maintained ties to several different intelligence services
and eventually
became a
controversial whistleblower whose information led
to the arrest of
the former head of Canada’s Security Intelligence Review Committee,
Arthur Porter.
As
far as his character is concerned, Parry
noted that
Ben-Menashe could often be “his own worst enemy” and that, even
though Parry considered his information regarding Iran-Contra and
PROMIS reliable and noted that much of it was later corroborated, he
“often compound[ed] his media problem by treating journalists in a
high-handed manner, either due to his suspicions of them or his
arrogance.”
Bill
Hamilton, the original developer of the PROMIS software and head of
Inslaw Inc., also found Ben-Menashe’s claims regarding the illicit
use of PROMIS by U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies to be
credible, though he expressed doubts about Ben-Menashe’s
character.
Hamilton
told MintPress the following about Ben-Menashe:

Ben Menashe was the first source to tell us reliable information
about the role of Rafi Eitan and Israeli intelligence vis-a-vis
PROMIS but, in the end, of course, he was a clandestine services-type
guy whose official duties include the ability and willingness to lie,
cheat, and steal.”
A
threat revived
While
Ben-Menashe may have been viewed as a “declining threat” after
the early 1990s, his plans to meet with Robert Parry of Consortium
News years
later in 2012 to discuss Iran-Contra and other covert dealings of the
1980s appeared to change that. Right before he planned to travel from
Canada to the United States to meet with Parry and “finally prove”
the truthfulness of his past claims, a
fire-bomb was thrown into
his Montreal home, destroying it.

Though
Canadian media referred
to the
incendiary device as a “molotov cocktail,” Consortium
News reported that
“the arson squad’s initial assessment is said to be that the
flammable agent was beyond the sort of accelerant used by common
criminals,” leading to speculation that the accelerant was
military-grade.
Had
it not been for the bomb, the origins of which Canadian police failed
to determine, Ben-Menashe would have traveled to the U.S. alongside a
“senior Israeli intelligence figure” to be interviewed by Parry.
The other intelligence-linked individual, according
to Parry,
“concluded that the attack was meant as a message from Israeli
authorities to stay silent about the historical events that he was
expected to discuss.”
Though
neither Ben-Menashe nor Parry directly blamed Israel’s government
for the destruction of Ben-Menashe’s home, Parry
noted that
the bombing did succeed in “intimidating Ben-Menashe, shutting down
possible new disclosures of Israeli misconduct from the other
intelligence veteran, and destroying records that would have helped
Ben-Menashe prove whatever statements he might make.”
While
Ben-Menashe’s post-intelligence associations with controversial
governments and individuals have given plenty of fodder to the still
thriving media campaign to discredit his claims about covert
U.S.-Israel operations in the 1980s, there remain troubling
indications that the Israeli government sees his information on
decades-old events as a threat.
Now,
with the major efforts by powerful Americans and Israelis to distance
themselves from Jeffrey Epstein and other figures associated with his
depraved sex trafficking operation, Ben-Menashe may soon again find
his reputation — and perhaps more — under fire.

weekend liet de Turkse reli-fascist Erdogan weten dat het Turkse leger met voorbereidingen bezig is aan de zuidgrens met Syrië voor het instellen van een ‘veilige zone’ op Syrisch
grondgebied, ofwel Turkije wil de Koerden ook weg hebben uit dat
gebied…… (etnische zuivering)
De
Koerden zijn volgens Turkije terroristen, maakt niet uit waar ze
wonen….. En juist op dat punt, het terrorisme, is Turkije een
partij die terreur steunt en stuurt en daarbij gaat het niet om de
minste van de terreurgroepen: IS (ook ISIS genoemd)……
De hele wereld heeft de beelden gezien van kilometers tankwagens
die naar Turkije onderweg waren met olie door IS verkocht
aan dat land….. Lullig dat de reguliere media daar aanvankelijk een
paar woorden aan spendeerden, maar niet verder uitzochten hoe het zat
met de banden tussen Turkije en IS…..
Vijf
jaar te laat komt de New York Post dus met een artikel over de
verbintenis tussen Turkije en IS…… Een verbintenis die wel heel
ver gaat als je ziet dat dit mediaorgaan zelfs stelt dat IS wordt
bestuurd door NAVO-lid Turkije………. De New York Post vraagt zich
af waarom de reguliere media de banden tussen Erdogan en IS niet onderzochten en onderzoeken, dit
NB 5 jaar na dato en in die 5 jaar geen woord van de N.Y.Post over
die band, ofwel de N.Y.Post heeft een kleine berg boter op de
kop……
In de
alternatieve media is wel fiks gehamerd op het feit dat NAVO-lid Turkije
banden had en heeft met IS en andere terreurgroepen, daarnaast kocht Turkije niet alleen olie van IS, maar leverde hen en andere terreurgroepen ook
wapens, munitie en rollend oorlogstuig…. E.e.a. werd gecoördineerd door de Turkse geheime dienst MIT, die onder direct gezag van Erdogan staat, ofwel de autocratische
psychopaat Erdogan is direct betrokken bij terreur……. In 2016
publiceerde WikiLeaks 58.000 mails waaruit bleek dat de schoonzoon
van Erdogan, Berat Albayrak, direct verantwoordelijk was voor de
import van gestolen olie uit door IS gecontroleerd gebied in Irak en
Syrië…..
Ook de
jihadisten uit andere delen van de wereld werd geen strobreed in de
weggelegd als ze via Turkije Syrië wilden binnentrekken om zich aan
te sluiten bij o.a. IS…….
Intussen
hekelden de reguliere media, waarvan de N.Y.Post deel uitmaakt, zaken
als ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws) en het manipuleren van het publiek met
desinformatie door de alternatieve media, niet dat daar ook maar een flinter aan bewijs voor werd geleverd….. Terwijl de
reguliere media aantoonbaar hele archieven hebben volgeschreven met
fake news en manipulatie van het publiek, neem alleen al de
berichtgeving vooraf en tijdens de illegale oorlogen die de VS deze
eeuw is begonnen…….
In 2014
sprak Joe Biden (destijds vice-president) een gehoor toe op Harvard en stelde dat Turkije, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten en
Saoedi-Arabië achter de opkomst van IS stonden, waar de ploert
uiteraard de VS niet noemde, terwijl ook de VS aan de wieg van IS
stond…… Biden gaf NB toe dat de VS de genoemde landen niet kon
overtuigen te stoppen met die steun, waarmee hij in feite al toegaf
dat de VS samenwerkte met deze landen in het steunen van terreurgroepen…..
(overigens ook de zogenaamde ‘Arabische Lente’, de opstand die tot de
oorlog in Syrië leidde, werd georganiseerd door de CIA, dat ook
verantwoordelijk was voor de figuren die geweld gebruikten tijdens protesten, terroristen die vanuit het buitenland Syrië werden binnengeloodst door terreurorganisatie CIA……)

Half-Decade Late, New York Post Admits ISIS Is Run By NATO Member
Turkey
(ZH) —
It’s that time once again: over the weekend Turkish
President Tayyip Erdogan for perhaps the
twentieth time warned
his army is making preparations to act on its southern border with
Syria, saying it will take unilateral
steps to create a “safe zone” amid
accusations the US is dragging its feet implementing agreements to
push Syrian Kurdish forces from the border.
This
as yet another ‘conspiracy theory’ gets belatedly confirmed as
conspiracy fact by
the mainstream. TheNew
York Post asks“Why
isn’t the media covering Turkish President Erdogan’s ties to
ISIS?”— well,
it’s at least been endlessly
reported here and other
places for
about the past half decade. Better late than never, we suppose.
The report
details:
The
evidence of Erdogan’s direct, personal and institutional support
for ISIS and related jihadi groups is so extensive, the wonder is why
the American media is not paying more attention to it.
The
report doesn’t merely stop at saying NATO-member Turkey had an
indirect or remote relationship with ISIS, but points out that
Turkish intelligence service (MIT) while under the immediate
oversight of Erdogan has been directly weaponizing
and funding the terror group.
Barely
surveying the tip of the iceberg in terms of the total mountain
of evidence to have emerged over the years, the NY
Post asserts:
It’s
Erdogan’s commitment to global jihad, and specifically, to ISIS
terrorists. Since
2012, the Turkish intelligence service, MIT, under Erdogan’s
direction, has been providing resources and material assistance to
ISIS,
while Turkish Customs officials turned a blind eye to ISIS recruits
flowing across Turkey’s borders into Syria and Iraq.
Scores
of ISIS fighters captured by pro-U.S. Kurdish forces in northern
Syria showed
Turkish exit stamps on their passports, and otherwise boasted of the
direct assistance they had received from Turkish authorities.
The
report further cites a recently captured ISIS fighter, who told his
Kurdish captors, “Turkish
intelligence knows everything.”
Interestingly,
then Vice President Joe Biden as early as 2014 in a Harvard address
identified “our allies” and “our great friends” — among
them Turkey, UAE, and Saudi Arabia — as being
behind the rise of ISIS (of course, he stopped short of naming the
United States, despite previously acknowledging the
US worked “hand in glove” with these very countries in the Syrian
war).
“Turkey
admitted it had let too many foreign fighters cross its border into
Syria,” Biden explained at the time, as paraphrased by the
BBC. “We
could not convince our colleagues to stop supplying them,” Biden
confessed, in what constituted America’s #2 most powerful leader
admitting the US’ own role in fueling the
rise of ISIS to
topple Assad.
Biden’s
astounding 2014 admissions, the
televised footage of which was
easily available, were essentially buried
by the mainstream media,
which only commented on his later being forced to apologize for the
frank and blunt remarks. The footage itself didn’t air on any major
network and is still by and large unknown to broader American
public.
Turkey’s
assistance to ISIS starts right at the top.
In
2016, Wikileaks published an archive of 58,000 emails documenting the
involvement of Erdogan’s son-in-law, Berat Albayrak, in helping
ISIS market oil stolen from Syria and Iraq.
And
more recently, many ISIS terrorists have simply donned a new uniform
and joined Turkish-backed ‘rebel’ groups, to as
the Post notes,
to engage
in “ethnic cleansing” of Syrian Kurds.
And
yet after all this it remains that Erdogan’s Turkey is still a
key member of NATO, American
forces still work closely with the very military and intelligence
services backing ISIS,
and US troops still operate out of key Turkish bases like Incirlik
air base.
