Associated Press (AP) en de New York Times (NYT) hebben toegegeven dat de bewering als zouden alle 17 geheime diensten in de VS achter de claim staan, dat Rusland de VS presidentsverkiezingen zouden hebben beinvloed t.b.v. van het beest Donald Trump.
De directeur van de National Intelligence (DNI), Clapper, die over alle geheime diensten gaat, zou hebben bedoeld dat het om 3 diensten ging, de CIA, de FBI en de NSA. Echter daar deze directeur over 17 diensten gaat, nam men aan, dat het de bevinding van 17 diensten was, dat Rusland de verkiezingen t.g.v. het beest Trump had beïnvloed……..
De democratische kandidaat, hare kwaadaardigheid Clinton stelde dat er geen twijfel is als alle 17 diensten hetzelfde stellen……….
Eerlijk gezegd snap ik al niet, dat er nog iemand is, die ook maar gelooft wat welke geheime VS dienst dan ook verklaart, daarvoor hebben deze diensten, om het zachtjes te stellen, iets te vaak laten zien, dat liegen één van hun belangrijkste eigenschappen is……….
Het is dan ook aan politici als Koenders en Rutte en de reguliere westerse media te danken dat de leugens van de bedoelde VS diensten hier als waarheid worden verkocht…….
Hier kan nog het volgende punt bij opgeteld worden: NB de NSA heeft bewezen ingebroken in computers en telefoons van regeringen in het buitenland, zelfs van haar partners zoals Duitsland (en gegarandeerd ook in Nederland), m.a.w. de zwarte pot verwijt een niet zwarte ketel zwart te zijn!!! Daarnaast is de VS sinds 1945 verantwoordelijk voor een flink aantal staatsgrepen (ook voor 1940, ‘maar goed….’)……
Moet je nagaan, hoeveel onzinnige energie en hysterie er al in de valse claim is gestoken, dat Rusland alles en iedereen zou hacken en manipuleren…….. Als gevolg waarvan men geen maatregelen nam, de boel beter te beveiligen, zo bleek onlangs weer met de 2 ransomware aanvallen…….
Benieuwd hoe lang figuren al Hubert Smeets, Rob de Wijk, Han ten Broeke (VVD hufter), Arend Jan Boekestijn (ook al VVD, maar dan een echte sufferd) en vele anderen uit de politiek en de reguliere westerse media, de leugen blijven volhouden dat Rusland de VS (en andere) verkiezingen heeft gemanipuleerd…….

the most oft-repeated claims of the entire Russia election hacking
scandal is that of absolute unanimity among US intelligence agencies,
with media and politicians regularly claiming that “all
17 US intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to
influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.”
It’s not true.
Nearly
a year into the hacking scandal, both the New
York Times and
the Associated
Press are
finally copping to the fact that this allegation is untrue, and
retracting it outright. The AP confirmed falsely making the claim in
at least four distinct articles, most
recently on Thursday.
What
actually happened? The Director of National Intelligence made the
allegation, claiming it was based on information from three US
agencies, the CIA, FBI, and NSA. The Director of National
Intelligence nominally represents all 17 intelligence agencies, and
that was quickly and incorrectly extrapolated into all 17 agencies
being in consensus.
In
practice, however, the DNI is an increasingly politicized office, and
their publications aren’t necessarily in line with actual reality,
let alone proof of a consensus among the intelligence agencies.
Indications are that the overwhelming majority of the US intelligence
agencies were never even involved in assessing the Russia hacks.
Nor
would they be expected to be. It would be bizarre if the Pentagon’s
intelligence agency, for example, was probing US elections, or if the
National Reconnaissance Office, which operates spy satellites looking
for missile launches, was chiming in on the Trump Campaign.
It
sounded better, particularly for those trying to make this into a
bigger scandal, however, to claim that “all 17” US intelligence
agencies had agreed on the narrative, because this would give the
impression that it’s indisputable fact, as opposed to a heavily
politically-motivated assertion backed up by limited circumstantial
evidence dug up by a couple of US spy agencies.

30, 2017 “Information
Clearing House” – The New York Times has finally admitted
that one of the favorite Russia-gate canards – that all 17 U.S.
intelligence agencies concurred on the assessment of Russian hacking
of Democratic emails – is false.
On
Thursday, the Times appended a
correction to a June 25 article that
had repeated the false claim, which has been used by Democrats and
the mainstream media for months to brush aside any doubts about the
foundation of the Russia-gate scandal and portray President Trump as
delusional for doubting what all 17 intelligence agencies supposedly
knew to be true.
In
the Times’ White House Memo of June 25, correspondent Maggie
Haberman mocked Trump for “still refus[ing] to acknowledge a basic
fact agreed upon by 17 American intelligence agencies that he now
oversees: Russia orchestrated the attacks, and did it to help get him
elected.”
However,
on Thursday, the Times – while leaving most of Haberman’s
ridicule of Trump in place – noted in a correction that the
relevant intelligence “assessment was made by four intelligence
agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the
Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and
the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all
17 organizations in the American intelligence community.”
The
Times’ grudging correction was vindication for some Russia-gate
skeptics who had questioned the claim of a full-scale intelligence
assessment, which would usually take the form of a National
Intelligence Estimate (or NIE), a product that seeks out the views of
the entire Intelligence Community and includes dissents.
The
reality of a more narrowly based Russia-gate assessment
was admitted in
May by President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James
Clapper and Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan in sworn
congressional testimony.
Clapper testified before
a Senate Judiciary subcommittee on May 8 that the Russia-hacking
claim came from a “special intelligence community assessment” (or
ICA) produced by selected analysts from the CIA, NSA and FBI, “a
coordinated product from three agencies – CIA, NSA, and the FBI –
not all 17 components of the intelligence community,” the former
DNI said.
Clapper
further acknowledged that the analysts who produced the Jan. 6
assessment on alleged Russian hacking were “hand-picked” from the
CIA, FBI and NSA.
Yet,
as any intelligence expert will tell you, if you “hand-pick” the
analysts, you are really hand-picking the conclusion. For instance,
if the analysts were known to be hard-liners on Russia or supporters
of Hillary Clinton, they could be expected to deliver the one-sided
report that
they did.
Politicized
Intelligence
In
the history of U.S. intelligence, we have seen how this selective
approach has worked, such as the phony determination of the Reagan
administration pinning the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul
II and other acts of terror on the Soviet Union.
CIA
Director William Casey and Deputy Director Robert Gates shepherded
the desired findings through the process by
putting the assessment under the control of pliable analysts and
sidelining those who objected to this politicization of intelligence.
The
point of enlisting the broader intelligence community – and
incorporating dissents into a final report – is to guard against
such “stove-piping” of intelligence that delivers the politically
desired result but ultimately distorts reality.
Another
painful example of politicized intelligence was President George W.
Bush’s 2002 National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq’s WMD
that removed
State Department and other dissents from
the declassified version that was given to the public.
Since
Clapper’s and Brennan’s testimony in May, the Times and other
mainstream news outlets have avoided a direct contradiction of their
earlier acceptance of the 17-intelligence-agencies canard by simply
referring to a judgment by “the intelligence community.”
That
finessing of their earlier errors has allowed Hillary Clinton and
other senior Democrats to continue referencing this fictional
consensus without challenge, at least in the mainstream media.
For
instance, on May 31 at a technology conference in California, Clinton
referred to
the Jan. 6 report,
asserting that “Seventeen agencies, all in agreement, which I know
from my experience as a Senator and Secretary of State, is hard to
get. They concluded with high confidence that the Russians ran an
extensive information war campaign against my campaign, to influence
voters in the election.”
The
failure of the major news organizations to clarify this point about
the 17 agencies may have contributed to Haberman’s mistake on June
25 as she simply repeated the groupthink that nearly all the
Important People in Washington just knew to be true.
But
the Times’ belated correction also underscores the growing sense
that the U.S. mainstream media has joined in a political vendetta
against Trump and has cast aside professional standards to the point
of repeating false claims designed to denigrate him.
That,
in turn, plays into Trump’s Twitter complaints that he and his
administration are the targets of a “witch hunt” led by the “fake
news” media, a grievance that appears to be energizing his
supporters and could discredit whatever ongoing investigations
eventually conclude.

Op 18 december 2017 heb ik de kop en een het label AP aangepast. Waar eerder AP stond, staat nu Ass. Press, (Associated Press), daar de letters ‘AP’ al werden gebruikt voor de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Vanmorgen weer een staaltje anti-Maduro propaganda op BBC World Service waar de honden geen brood van lusten. Arturo Wallace, een journalist die ook voor de BBC werkt, vertelde o.a. over de aanval afgelopen week met een helikopter op het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en het hooggerechtshof, in de hoofdstad Caracas. In eerste instantie stelde Wallace dat de leider van deze aanval, Oscar Pérez waarschijnlijk maar een kleine groep van opstandelingen vertegenwoordigt. Pérez is een bekende Venezolaan, die goed bekendstaat, aldus Wallace. Na deze kwalificaties stelde hij echter even later dat deze Pérez waarschijnlijk door de regering Maduro op pad werd gestuurd, om een excuus te hebben soldaten* de straat op te sturen en zo mensen te demotiveren weer te gaan demonstreren………
‘Toevallig’ werkt deze Pérez nauw samen met en voor de bekende Venezolaanse oud-generaal en minister van Binnenlandse Zaken, Justitie en Vrede, Rodríguez, die momenteel onderzocht wordt vanwege banden met de DEA (VS: Drugs Enforcement Administration) en de CIA. Kortom om ‘t zachtjes uit te drukken, niet echt vrienden van Maduro en zijn regering……. Daarnaast heeft deze Rodríguez veel van zijn eigendommen en geld in de VS ondergebracht, op naam van zijn vrouw…….
Maduro regeert met het geweer, aldus Wallace en de actie met de helikopter is een teken dat velen Maduro zat zijn……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Je meent ‘t? Buiten dat ‘t nogal vreemd is te concluderen, dat een terreuraanval aangeeft dat de bevolking Maduro zat is, is het lullig voor Wallace dat er genoeg Venezolanen zijn die achter Maduro blijven staan…..
Wallace sprak wel over de demonstraties en dat daardoor al veel mensen zijn omgekomen, maar met geen woord sprak hij over het barbaarse geweld dat door de rechtse oppositie wordt gepleegd en uitgelokt, dit onder dekking van de demonstraties tegen Maduro………
Ik hoef u waarschijnlijk niet te vertellen, dat Wallace met geen woord sprak over alle machinaties van de VS, die de Venezolaanse economie tot staan hebben gebracht. Zo mag een grote winkelketen van levensmiddelen, die in handen is van een bedrijf in de VS, haar winkels al meer dan een half jaar niet bevoorraden en doet de VS van alles om ook andere bedrijven lam te leggen……. Daarmee heeft de VS (CIA) grote onvrede gekweekt** en het lijkt of iedereen de regering Maduro kwijt wil, echter zoals gezegd staat nog steeds een groot deel van de Venezolanen achter die regering.
Medestanders van Maduro en zijn regering bevinden zich niet alleen in de grote arme onderlaag van de bevolking, maar ook in leger, politie, rechterlijke macht en de geheime dienst,,,,,,,,,,
De helikopteraanval wordt door Maduro terecht als een terroristische aanval bestempeld, in het westen wordt dit weggelachen, echter als iets dergelijks hier of in welk ander westers land dan ook zou gebeuren, zou het onmiddellijk als een terreuraanval worden neergezet……

(MPN) — Opposition
efforts to topple Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s government
are rapidly heating up, as months upon months of opposition protests
have failed to make the inroads desired by the more extremist
elements of the opposition and their foreign backers, particularly
the United States.
With
the current regime still hanging on to power despite years of
economic sabotage and the funneling of millions from the U.S. to
right-wing Venezuelan opposition parties, those determined to see
Maduro removed from power have now turned to more drastic, violent
measures in order to spark a coup.
On
Tuesday, one of the more dramatic incidents of the most recent phase
of the Venezuelan crisis took place when a stolen
police helicopter opened fire on
the Supreme Court and the Interior Ministry. At the time the attack
occurred – about 5 p.m. local time – there were an estimated 80
people still inside the Interior Ministry and the Supreme Court was
in session. No deaths or injuries were reported, a fact that the
Venezuelan government attributed to a quick response by national
guard forces, who repelled the attacking helicopter before it could
do more damage.

Maduro
condemned the attack soon
after it occurred, calling it a “terrorist attack” that “could
have caused dozens of deaths.” Ernesto Villegas, Venezuela’s
Communications and Information Minister, stated
that the attack was
intended to be part of an attempted coup led by extremist groups
within the opposition, with full U.S. government support said to be
behind them.
Villegas’
assertion that the U.S. was involved in this attack is not based on
mere speculation. Pérez has been known to work for Miguel Rodríguez
Torres, a former general and former minister of Venezuela’s
Department of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace who is currently
being investigated for
his ties to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the
CIA. The charges first surfaced when the Venezuelan news
agency Últimas
Noticias obtained
an official DEA document that
described Rodríguez Torres as a “key information provider” for
the agency and recommended that he be secured as a protected source
for the DEA and U.S. government. It also noted that 40 percent of his
assets and wealth are held in the U.S. under his wife’s name.
The
U.S. has long sought to oust the left-wing regime that was brought to
power in Venezuela by Hugo Chávez in the late 1990s. Since Chávez’s
election, the U.S. is believed to have spent between
$50 to $60 million to
strengthen the country’s right-wing opposition in the hope that
they would win elections. Former U.S. President Barack Obama
alone dedicated
$5 million to
“support political competition-building efforts” in Venezuela.
More
recently, the U.S. Senate has been mulling over new legislation that
would provide an
additional $20 million for
“democracy promotion” efforts in Venezuela. However, some of
these efforts in the past have led to right-wing politicians and
their affiliates paying
protesters in cash to
violently escalate opposition rallies.
Such
rallies have turned increasingly violent in recent weeks, with three
people burned alive by
opposition protesters just in the last week. Journalists have also
been targeted, with some being
directly shot at and others
threatened with
being lynched or set aflame. Despite the violence, the Venezuelan
opposition is likely to continue receiving funding from the U.S.,
which is eager to gain control of Venezuela’s oil reserves – the
largest in the world – no matter the cost.

Mijn excuus voor de vormgeving.
Hoorde afgelopen woensdagmiddag na 16.00 u. op BNR een woordvoerder van de politie, die uitleg probeerde te geven over het feit dat de politie een aantal van haar taken niet kon uitvoeren, zoals het achterhalen van kentekengegevens. Verbaasd me niets, de IT technologie van de politie is al jaren naatje pet.
Opvallend: op een gegeven moment vertelde de woordvoerder (heb geen zin z’n naam te achterhalen, door het geheel nog eens na te luisteren) dat de politie gisteren al te maken had met de cyberaanval, die op die dinsdag wereldwijd begon. Nou ja ‘cyberaanval’ , het is een ransomware-aanval (met de naam Petya).
Om dit virus binnen te krijgen moet je of nog geen aanpassing op je netwerk hebben doorgevoerd, na de laatste ransomware-aanval (enorme nalatigheid), of je moet een dubieus boekhoudprogramma uit Oekraïne hebben geïnstalleerd…… Andere mogelijkheden: het hebben geklikt op vage bijlagen, of geen actie hebben ondernomen na een suffe melding dat de computer de harde schijf repareert……… (onmiddellijk uw computer uitschakelen, als u een dergelijke melding te zien krijgt, binnen afzienbare tijd kan dit verholpen worden)
Je zou toch goddomme aan kunnen nemen dat de politie, na alle ellende op automatiseringsgebied, eindelijk deskundige IT’ers in dienst heeft genomen……. Blijkbaar niet dus, het zou me zelfs niet verbazen, als de politie nog steeds afhankelijk is van het Israëlische bedrijf, waarvan alleen de medewerkers mogen prutsen aan de hard- en software van de politiecomputers…… U begrijpt dat daarmee ook de Israëlische geheime dienst inzage in onze politiecomputers heeft, terwijl de VS uiteraard al lang volledige inzage op afstand heeft, waar de AIVD en de MIVD hen graag helpen aan ontbrekende gegevens…………
Ben trouwens benieuwd hoe het is met ons Nationaal Cyber Security Centrum, het zou me niets verbazen, als daar ook de boel (deels) plat heeft gelegen….. Tja, dat soort informatie verschijnt ‘uiteraard’ niet in de reguliere media, zonder een voorafgaand Wob-verzoek, althans als die media de moeite al nemen e.e.a. uit te zoeken……..
De reguliere massamedia in de VS spreken de afgelopen maanden over de VS, als zou ‘het land’ in de Syrië oorlog worden getrokken (door krachten van buitenaf)…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! De eerste plannen voor een staatsgreep in Syrië, dateren uit de 80er jaren, de tijd van opperschoft Reagan! In 2006 werd dit plan nieuw leven ingeblazen, nadat bleek dat het bewind van Assad weigerde pijpleidingen over haar grondgebied toe te staan, pijpleidingen voor olie en vooral gas transport richting EU.
Twee vliegen in één klap, daar het bewind Assad, zeer tegen de zin van de VS, goede banden onderhield en onderhoudt met Rusland…….. In de besprekingen die de VS in 2006 startte met landen als Groot-Brittannië, Turkije, Saoedi-Arabië en een paar andere arabische landen, zette men in op een opstand in Syrië, die zou moeten uitmonden in een staatsgreep tegen Assad en de opdeling van Syrië…..
Vanaf 2011 heeft de VS jaarlijks 1 miljard dollar aan wapens en training in de zogenaamde oppositie gestoken……. Zogenaamde oppositie, daar het overgrote deel van de ‘gematigde rebellen’, uiterst gewelddadige buitenlandse terroristen zijn zoals die van Al Qaida en IS……. De VS liet na de val van Khadaffi in Libië (ook al via een door de VS georganiseerde opstand en illegale oorlog) een groot aantal terroristen transporteren naar Irak, om van daaruit Syrië in te trekken en daar het Assad bewind omver te werpen…….
De media in de VS stellen echter keer op keer, dat de VS de beste bedoelingen heeft en in een oorlog wordt gelokt, i.p.v. het vervolmaken van een jarenlange uitgedachte strategie om bijvoorbeeld in het Midden-Oosten (maar ook in Oekraïne) de lakens te kunnen uitdelen. Elk land waar een regime aan de macht is, dat niet klakkeloos knielt voor de VS, wordt door de VS als een gevaar voor het eigen voortbestaan afgeschilderd, zowel door de politiek als door de reguliere massamedia…….
Telkens weer wordt onomwonden gesteld dat de VS wordt aangevallen en zich derhalve dient te verdedigen……. Vanaf WOII tot het jaar 2000 heeft de VS meer dan 20 miljoen mensen vermoord in conflicten die door de VS zelf werden gecreëerd….. Sinds het begin van deze eeuw heeft diezelfde VS al 2 miljoen moorden op het geweten, alleen in Irak al meer dan 1,5 miljoen, middels de in 2003 illegaal begonnen oorlog tegen dat land (één van de grootste oorlogsmisdaden en daarmee terreuruitoefeningen die men kan bedenken……)……..
Uiteraard moeten Rusland en Iran het ook ontgelden in de reguliere VS media, als zouden zij i.p.v. de VS illegale oorlogen beginnen en opstanden op poten zetten waar het maar uitkomt………
Mensen het ligt er allemaal zo dik bovenop, dat je niet snapt dat de reguliere media en ‘intellectuele opiniemakers’ in de rest van het westen, zich zo laten gebruiken door de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS…….. Zonder amper enige kritiek loopt men achter de VS aan, de enige uitzondering is Trump, die sinds zijn aantreden als joker wordt neergezet. Lullig genoeg vinden deze media en intellectuelen verder zo ongeveer alles wat Trump en zijn leger flikken over de wereld, boven elke kritiek verheven…….

recent headline in The
Atlantic (6/9/17)
earnestly pondered if the US was “Getting Sucked Into More War in
Syria.” “Even as Washington potentially stumbles into war…”
was how the article’s discussion began.
One
of the most common tropes in US media is that the US military always
goes to war reluctantly—and, if there are negative consequences,
like civilian deaths, it’s simply a matter of bumbling around
without much plan or purpose.
This
framing serves to flatter two sensibilities: one right and one
vaguely left. It satisfies the right-wing nationalist idea that
America only goes to war because it’s compelled to by forces
outside of its own control; the reluctant warrior, the gentle giant
who will only attack when provoked to do so. But it also plays to a
nominally liberal, hipster notion that the US military is actually
incompetent and boobish, and is generally bad at war-making.
This
is expressed most clearly in the idea that the US is “drawn into”

The US is always reluctantly—and without
a plan—falling
backward into bombing and occupying. The US didn’t enter the
conflict in Syria in September 2014 deliberately; it was forced into
it by outside actors. The US didn’t arm and fund anti-Assad rebels
for four years to the tune
of $1 billion a year as
part of a broader strategy for the region; it did so as a result of
some unknown geopolitical dark matter.
Syria
especially evokes the media’s “reluctantly sucked into war”
narrative. Four
times in
the past month, the Trump administration has attacked pro-regime
forces in Syria, and in all four instances they’ve claimed
“self-defense.” All four times, media accepted this justification
without question (e.g., Reuters, 6/19/17),
despite not a single instance of “self-defense” attacks occurring
under two-and-a-half years of the Obama administration fighting in
Syria. (The one time Obama directly attacked Syrian government
forces, the US claimed
it was an accident.)
Why
the sudden uptick in “self-defense”? Could it be because, as with
the bombing
of ISIS (and nearby civilians),
Trump has given a green light to his generals to adopt an itchy
trigger finger? Could it be Trump and Secretary of Defense James
Mattis, who has a decades-long
grudge against Iran, want to
blow up Iranian drones and kill Iranian troops? No such questions are
entertained, much less interrogated. The US’s entirely defensive
posture in Syria is presented as fact and serves as the premise for
discussion.
When
US empire isn’t reluctant, it’s benevolent. “Initially
motivated by humanitarian impulse,” Foreign
Policy‘s
Emile Simpson (6/21/17)
insisted, “the United States and its Western allies achieved
regime change in Libya and attempted it in Syria, by backing rebels
in each case.”
“At
least in recent decades, American presidents who took military action
have been driven by the desire to promote freedom and democracy,”
the New
York Times editorial
board (2/7/17)
swooned.
“Every
American president since at least the 1970s,” Washington
Post’s
Philip Rucker (5/2/17)
declared, “has used his office to champion human rights and
democratic values around the world.” Interpreting US policymakers’
motives is permitted, so long as the conclusion is never critical.
In
contrast, foreign policy actions by Russia are painted in diabolical
and near-omnipotent terms. “Is Putin’s Master Plan Only
Beginning?” worried Vanity
Fair (12/28/16).
“Putin’s Aim Is to Make This the Russian Century,”
insists Time magazine
(10/1/16).
Russia
isn’t “drawn into” Crimea; it has a secret “Crimea takeover
plot” (BBC, 3/9/15).
Putin doesn’t “stumble into” Syria; he has a “Long-Term
Strategy” there (Foreign
Affairs, 3/15/16).
Military adventurism by other countries is part of a well-planned
agenda, while US intervention is at best reluctant, and at worst
bumfuzzled—Barney Fife with 8,000 Abrams tanks and 19 aircraft
carriers.
Even
liberals talk about war in this agency-free manner. Jon Stewart was
fond of saying, for example, that the Iraq war was a
“mistake”—implying
a degree of “aw shucks” mucking up, rather than a years-long
plan by
ideologues in the government to assert US hegemony in the Middle
East.
War,
of course, isn’t a “mistake.” Nor, unless your country is
invaded, is it carried out against one’s will. The act of
marshalling tens of thousands of troops, scores of ships, hundreds of
aircraft, and coordinating the mechanisms of soft and covert power by
State and CIA officials, are deliberate acts by conscious, very
powerful actors.
Media
shouldn’t make broad, conspiratorial assumptions as to what the
bigger designs are. But neither are they under any obligation to buy
into this mythology that US foreign policy is an improvised peace
mission carried out by good-hearted bureaucrats, who only engage in
war because they’re “sucked into” doing so.

Met de dag wordt het gekker, de berichten uit de VS en dan m.n. die uit Washington. Zo meldden Radio1 en BNR vanmorgen, dat de VS heeft gezien, dat Syrië bezig is met de voorbereiding van een gifgasaanval, te vergelijken met die op Khan Sheikhoun in april dit jaar……..
Die aanval met gifgas is niet door Syrië gedaan, dat is intussen overduidelijk, toevallig bracht Anti-Media daar gisteren weer een artikel over, een artikel dat u verderop terugvindt en dat uit en te na wijst op de belachelijkheid van de VS aanname dat Syrië dit zou hebben gedaan, er bestaat zelfs grote twijfel of er wel een gifgasaanval plaatsvond (zie het artikel….)…..
Wel is intussen duidelijk dat de VS (deels toegegeven door de VS) witte fosfor heeft gebruikt bij bombardementen van dichtbevolkt stedelijk gebied namelijk in Mosul en Raqqa, respectievelijk in Irak en Syrië…… Ongelofelijk trouwens, dat de reguliere ‘onafhankelijke’ mediaorganen hier amper of geen aandacht aan hebben besteed, terwijl ze op de kop stonden door de zogenaamde Syrische gifgasaanval op Khan Sheikhoun…..
De laatste leugen van de VS, dat Syrië bezig is een gifgasaanval voor te bereiden, is een teken dat de VS weer bezig is een enorme oorlogsmisdaad te begaan, tegen het reguliere Syrische leger en daarmee zal testen of Rusland nu wel in zal grijpen (iets dat de VS op de plek van Rusland al lang had gedaan…..)….
Hoe is het mogelijk dat het westen de VS laat begaan, zeker in de EU zou men keihard aan de VS bel moeten trekken, immers wij zijn het eerste doel van Rusland, als er een kernoorlog uitbreekt tussen de VS en Rusland. Logisch daar wij zo ongelofelijk dom zijn, dat we de VS hebben toegestaan hier kernraketten/bommen op te slaan en zelfs lanceerinstallaties hebben laten inrichten………. Uiteraard is de houding van de reguliere westerse (massa-) media helemaal een onbegrijpelijke, het lijkt godverdomme wel of men daar blij zal zijn, als er morgen een kernoorlog uitbreekt…….

(ANTIMEDIA) — Never
one to accept the U.S. government’s official
explanation of events without
question, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh has
investigated Donald Trump’s decision to strike the al-Shayat
Airbase in Syria in April of this year, which the president launched
amid widespread allegations that the Syrian government committed a
chemical weapons attack.
In
a report entitled “Trump’s
Red Line,” published Sunday in the daily German newspaper Die
Welt,
Hersh asserts that President Donald Trump ignored important
intelligence reports when he made the decision to attack Syria after
pictures emerged of dying children in the war-torn country.
For
those of us without goldfish memories, Hersh’s recent investigation
is reminiscent of his previous examination of the alleged chemical
weapons attacks in 2013, detailed in an article entitled “Whose
Sarin?” That article was published in
the London
Review of Books.
The
official White House explanation for the events in April of this year
was that Donald Trump was moved
by the suffering of
“beautiful” Syrian babies – the same Syrian babies he doesn’t
want to set foot in the United States – and decided to punish the
Syrian government for the attack two days after it allegedly
occurred. This punishment came in the form of an airstrike despite
the lack of a thorough investigation regarding what took place that
fateful day in April and who was ultimately culpable (though the
Trump administration insisted they
were certain that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was to blame).
In
that context, it should come as no surprise that Trump acted rashly
without consideration of the facts on the ground. However, what is
most disturbing about Hersh’s account is the fact that, according
to his source, Trump was well aware that the U.S. had no solid
intelligence linking the Syrian government to a chemical weapons
attack — and that’s because, according to Hersh’s article, it’s
doubtful a chemical weapons attack occurred at all.
Hersh
reports:
“The
available intelligence made clear that the Syrians had targeted a
jihadist meeting site on April 4 using a Russian-supplied guided bomb
equipped with conventional explosives. Details of the attack, including information on its so-called high-value targets, had
been provided by the Russians days in advance to American and allied
military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all U.S.,
allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region.”
“None
of this makes any sense,” one
officer reportedly told colleagues upon learning of the decision to
bomb Syria, according to Hersh. “We
KNOW that there was no chemical attack … the Russians are furious.
Claiming we have the real intel and know the truth … I guess it
didn’t matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.”
According
to Hersh, Trump “could not be swayed” by 48 hours worth of
intense briefings and decision-making following the initial reports
of the alleged chemical weapons attack. Hersh, who reportedly
reviewed transcripts of real-time communications, explains that there
is a “total disconnect” between the president and his military
advisers and intelligence officials.
As
is the case with Syrian military operations, Russia gave the U.S.
details of the carefully planned attack on a meeting in Khan
Sheikhoun, according to Hersh’s admittedly anonymous sources.
The Russians had employed a drone to the area days before the attack
to develop the intelligence necessary to coordinate it.
According
to Hersh’s sources, the United States and its Russian counterpart
routinely share information regarding planned attacks in order to
avoid collisions. However, they also permit “coordination,” a
practice that involves giving the other side a “hot tip about a
command and control facility,” which then helps the other side
carry out their attack.
Therefore,
there was no surprise chemical weapons attack, as the Trump
administration alleged. In fact, Russia had actually warned its
American counterpart on the off-chance that there were any CIA assets
on the ground who should have been forewarned of an impending attack.
“They
[the Russians] were playing the game right,” a
senior adviser told Hersh.
Hersh
continues:
“Russian
and Syrian intelligence officials, who coordinate operations closely
with the American command posts, made it clear that the planned
strike on Khan Sheikhoun was special because of the high-value
target. ‘It was a red-hot change. The mission was out of the
ordinary – scrub the sked,’ the senior adviser told me. ‘Every
operations officer in the region’ – in the Army, Marine Corps,
Air Force, CIA and NSA – ‘had to know there was something going
on. The Russians gave the Syrian Air Force a guided bomb and that was
a rarity. They’re skimpy with their guided bombs and rarely share
them with the Syrian Air Force. And the Syrians assigned their best
pilot to the mission, with the best wingman.’ The advance
intelligence on the target, as supplied by the Russians, was given
the highest possible score inside the American community.”
Hersh
confirms Russia’s account of
the incident, in which Russian authorities alleged that the Syrian
Air Force bombed a “terrorist warehouse,” and that secondary
bombings dispersed dangerous chemicals into the atmosphere.
Strangely, if Hersh’s reporting is accurate, it is not clear why
Russia didn’t give the detailed account at the time — and why the
Russians didn’t emphasize that they had shared information with the
U.S. military well in advance of the attack, as this would have cast
further doubt on the official U.S. narrative. In that context, Russia
could have provided proof of any prior communications that took place
within the so-called deconfliction channel. It also doesn’t explain
why Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, appeared to endorse two
competing theories behind
the events at Khan Sheikhoun.
However,
Hersh continues:
“A
team from Médecins Sans Frontières, treating victims from Khan
Sheikhoun at a clinic 60 miles to the north, reported that ‘eight
patients showed symptoms – including constricted pupils, muscle
spasms and involuntary defecation – which are consistent with
exposure to a neurotoxic agent such as sarin gas or similar
compounds.’ MSF also visited other hospitals that had received
victims and found that patients there ‘smelled of bleach,
suggesting that they had been exposed to chlorine.’ In other words,
evidence suggested that there was more than one chemical responsible
for the symptoms observed, which would not have been the case if the
Syrian Air Force – as opposition activists insisted – had dropped
a sarin bomb, which has no percussive or ignition power to trigger
secondary explosions. The range of symptoms is, however, consistent
with the release of a mixture of chemicals, including chlorine and
the organophosphates used in many fertilizers, which can cause
neurotoxic effects similar to those of sarin.”
Hersh
is not the first high-profile investigator to cast major doubts on
the Trump administration’s official narrative regarding the events
at Khan Sheikhoun. MIT professor emeritus Theodore Postol, who
previously worked as a former
scientific advisor to
the U.S. military’s Chief of Naval Operations, poked major holes in
the claims that the Syrian government had launched a chemical weapons
attack at Khan Sheikhoun, noting the “politicization” of
intelligence findings (you can access all of his reports here).
Postol
argued that there was no possible way U.S. government officials could
have been sure Assad was behind the attack before they launched their
strike, even though they claimed to be certain. Postol took the
conversation even further, asserting that the available evidence
pointed to an attack that was executed by individuals on the ground,
not from an aircraft. Former weapons inspector Scott Ritter had
similar concerns regarding
the White House’s conclusions, as did former U.K. ambassador to
Syria Peter
Ford.
The mainstream media paid almost zero attention to these reports, a
slight that exposes the media’s complicity in allowing these acts
of war to go ahead unquestioned.
According
to Hersh’s source, within hours of viewing the footage of the
‘attack’ and its aftermath, Trump ordered his national defense
apparatus to plan for retaliation against the Syrian government.
Hersh explains that despite the CIA and the DIA (Defense Intelligence
Agency) having no evidence that Syria even had sarin, let alone that
they used it on the battlefield, Trump was not easily persuaded once
he had made up his mind.
“Everyone
close to him knows his proclivity for acting
precipitously when he does not know the facts,” the
adviser told Hersh. “He doesn’t read
anything and has no real historical knowledge. He
wants verbal briefings and photographs. He’s a risk-taker. He can
accept the consequences of a bad decision in the business world; he
will just lose money. But in our world, lives will be lost and there
will be long-term damage to our national security if he guesses
wrong. He was told we did not have evidence of
Syrian involvement and yet Trump says: ‘Do it.”’ [emphasis
added]
At
a meeting on April 6, 2017, at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida,
Trump spoke with his national security officials regarding the best
way to move forward. The meeting was not to decide what to do, Hersh
explains, but how best to do it (and how to keep Trump as happy as
possible).
Trump
was given four options. The first one was dismissed at the outset
because it involved doing nothing. The second one was the one that
was decided upon: a minimal show of force (with advance warning to
Russia). The third option was the strike package that Obama was
unable to implement in 2013 in the face of mounting
public opposition and
Russia’s threats
of intervention.
This plan was Hillary Clinton’s ultimate fantasy considering she
was encouraging it
moments before Trump’s lone strike actually took place. However,
this would have involved extensive air strikes on Assad’s airfields
and would have drawn in the Russian military to a point of no return.
The
fourth option involved the direct assassination of the Syrian
president by bombing his palaces, as well as his underground bunkers.
This was not considered, either.
As
we all witnessed in April, the second option was adopted, and the
airbase Trump struck was up
and running again in
less than 24 hours, making it a very symbolic and empty show of
force.
Hersh’s
insight into the way Trump is conducting his foreign policy does not
bode well for the future of the Syrian conflict (or anywhere else in
the world, for that matter). Trump was not interested in the
intelligence or the facts on the ground — if he had been, he would
have waited until an investigation had determined culpability before
ordering a strike.
Missing
from Hersh’s account, however, is the fact that it was newly
appointed national security advisor General H.R. McMaster who laid
out the military strike proposals to
the president at his resort on April 6. McMaster replaced former
national security advisor Michael Flynn after the latter was forced
to resign due
to leaks from
within the intelligence community. Due to Flynn’s alleged ties to
Russia, it seems unlikely he would have proposed such a strike on
Russia’s close ally to begin with.
It
is unclear whether McMaster proposed the strikes in order to appease
Trump or because McMaster ultimately wants Trump to adopt a tougher
stance against Syria and Russia; McMaster has a history
of pro-interventionism and anti-Russian
sentiment.
Those
commentators who can review these startling revelations but still
condone Trump’s actions with a lazy ‘Assad
is still a bad guy and must be overthrown’
mindset argument are being intellectually dishonest, with themselves
and others. As was
the case in 2013,
there is still very
little evidence that
Assad has ever
used chemical weapons — particularly
in the attacks that the U.S. has tried to pin on him — yet this is
the standard by which the corporate media and our respective
governments have instructed us to judge Assad. Even without this
conclusive evidence, shortly after the April events, U.S. ambassador
to the U.N. Nikki Haley stated Assad
will fall from power.
Hersh’s
investigation bolsters many claims that
the U.S. acted rashly without first conducting or ordering an
impartial inquiry regarding what happened in April of this year.
Hersh’s report also serves as a reminder to the world of
the warpath
we are continuing down,
spearheaded by an impulsive and reckless megalomaniac who has no
interest in ascertaining fact from fiction.
Remember
that Donald J. Trump has the nuclear codes; it is hard to
think of a worse candidate to be entrusted with the fate of humanity.

‘Je zou bijna denken’, dat de wanpresterend minister van BuZa Koenders z’n gore straatje wil schoonpoetsen, voor hij moet vertrekken……. Dezelfde Koenders die het godbetert presteerde om op 24 januari 2015 met leeghoofd W.A. naar de begrafenis te gaan van de Saoedische dictatorkoning Abdullah. De reli-fascistische superschoft en verspreider van soennitische terreur Abdullah was nog niet koud, of de twee stapten op het vliegtuig richting Riyad……….. Groter bewijs, dat het volledige kabinet Rutte 2 en het koningshuis schijt hebben aan mensenrechtenschendingen en terreurverspreiding door het fascistische dictatoriale bewind in Riyad, is bijna niet te bedenken……..
Terug naar de veren in eigen reet stekerij van Koenders afgelopen zaterdag. Zoals gezegd, je zou bijna denken dat Koenders zelf op jacht was geweest in Colombia en de 2 had bevrijd, ware het niet dat de mislukte flapdrol stelde een paar seconden met de 2 te hebben gesproken. Ondanks dat wist Koenders te vertellen, dat de twee in een roes leefden na hun vrijlating. ‘In een roes’, ofwel niet aanspreekbaar……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Voorts lepelde de zak het verhaal op, wat die ochtend al uitgebreid in het (internationale) nieuws was………….
Koenders stelde zelf voortdurend onderhandeld te hebben…… Wat een leugenaar, alsof hij met de commandant van de bewuste ELN groep had gesproken, die was NB zelfs voor het oppercommando van de ELN de eerste dagen van de gijzeling onbereikbaar. Het was dan ook meer dan duidelijk dat de de bewuste ELN groep met deze gijzeling een enorme bok had geschoten……. ‘Een bok schieten’, u weet wel, ook een specialiteit van Koenders. Bovendien: alsof de onderhandelaars in Colombia ook maar 1 minuut tijd hadden, om het gezwets van Koenders aan te horen…..
De Bie en van der Weij, de ouwe wijven presentators van de Nieuwsshow genoten merkbaar van het gesprek, en stelden de meest domme vragen, zodat Koenders de ene na de andere open deur kon inschoppen…..

Overigens blijf ik van menig dat de FARC een enorme fout heeft begaan, door het vredesverdrag met de Colombiaanse overheid te tekenen. Benieuwd hoeveel tijd er voorbijgaat voor de top van de FARC gevangen zit, dan wel wordt vermoord. Hoe heeft de FARC akkoord kunnen gaan, als je ziet, dat de arme plattelandsbevolking nog steeds wordt geterroriseerd door de grootgrondbezitters en de rechtse doodseskaders (die niet worden bevochten en die overduidelijke banden hebben met de CIA…), zo ongeveer de belangrijkste reden voor oprichting van de FARC……. De VS minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Rex Tillerson, heeft toegegeven dat de VS uit is op ‘regime change’ in Iran (ofwel een staatsgreep). Dat het Iraanse volk onlangs nog heeft gekozen voor meer vrijheid en uiteindelijk een echte democratie zal de VS aan de reet roesten, men wil simpelweg een Iraanse regering die onderhorig is aan de VS en daarmee aan Saoedi-Arabië en Israël. De enige mogelijkheid daartoe is het installeren van een dictatoriaal regime, een specialiteit van de VS, dat altijd stelt democratie te willen brengen……….. Overigens voerde de VS (CIA) in 1953 al een staatsgreep uit tegen de democratisch gekozen Iraanse regering van Mossadegh
Tussen de regels door gaf Tillerson toe, dat de CIA al werkzaam is in Iran, toen hij stelde: “Our policy towards Iran is to push back on this hegemony, contain their ability to develop obviously nuclear weapons, and to work toward support of those elements inside of Iran that would lead to a peaceful transition of that government. Those elements are there, certainly as we know.”
In dit zelfde citaat staat te lezen dat Tillerson ondanks alle bewijzen van het tegendeel, stelt dat Iran bezig is een atoomwapen te ontwikkelen……… Een uitspraak die duidelijk een opmaat is naar militair ingrijpen, niet voor niets is de VS bijna continu bezig de Iraanse marine uit te dagen, met manoeuvres voor de Iraanse kust….. Daarnaast is er Israël dat keer op keer stelt, dat Iran een gevaar is voor de regio en dat het land moet worden aangevallen…… Netanyahu, de premier van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël, heeft meermaals laten weten, dat Israël zich het recht voorbehoudt Iran aan te vallen.
Onder Obama werd Israël nog enigszins onder controle gehouden, met het beest Trump aan de macht in de VS is de vrees dan ook, dat Israël daadwerkelijk Iran zal aanvallen. Als dit gebeurt zal de VS deze immense terreurdaad verdedigen, als het al niet zal deelnemen aan die Israëlische aanval.
Stuitend dat Tillerson keihard durft te zeggen, dat Iran een destabiliserende factor is in het Midden-Oosten……. Als er één destabiliserende factor is in het Midden-Oosten, is het wel de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde: de VS…… Met haar illegale oorlogen (de ultieme vorm van terreur) tegen Afghanistan, Irak (met intussen meer dan 1,5 miljoen vermoordde Irakezen), Libië (dat wordt door de VS tot het Midden-Oosten gerekend) en nu weer Syrië, heeft de VS het Midden-Oosten in totale chaos gestort. Daarbij moet niet vergeten worden dat de VS verantwoordelijk is voor het ontstaan van IS (dat het zelfs jarenlang heeft gesteund en bovendien van wapens en voertuigen heeft voorzien, al dan niet via een andere grote terreurentiteit in het Midden-Oosten: Saoedi-Arabië…)…..

Afgelopen week spraken veel politici in de VS over de aanslagen in Iran, als was het een zegen. De republikeinse vertegenwoordiger voor Californië, Dana Rohrabacher stelde zelfs dat de VS terreuraanslagen tegen Iran moet steunen, waarbij ze zelfs steun wil geven aan IS, als die Iran nog eens aanvalt……. Eén ding is nu wel duidelijk: Iran staat als volgende op de lijst om te worden teruggebombardeerd in de tijd en in chaos te worden gestort door (ingrijpen van) de VS met hulp van Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en een paar van de Golfstaten……

(ANTIMEDIA) — In
case there was any doubt, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has
just confirmed that official U.S. policy towards Iran includes regime
change, Think
Progress reports.
During
a Wednesday hearing before the House Foreign Affairs Committee
regarding the 2018 State Department budget, Tillerson was asked
whether or not the U.S. supports regime change in Iran. He replied
affirmatively, stating that U.S. policy is driven by relying on
“elements inside of Iran” to bring about a “peaceful
transition of that government.”
Rep.
Ted Poe (R-TX) also asked Tillerson if the government would sanction
the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – a powerful
entity inside
Iran.
“They
are doing bad things throughout the world, on behalf of terrorism and
destroying human rights of many people,” Poe
said, referring to the IRGC.
“I’d
like to know what the policy is of the U.S. toward Iran. Do we
support the current regime? Do we support a philosophy of regime
change, peaceful regime change? There are Iranians in exile all over
the world. Some are here. And then there’s Iranians in Iran who
don’t support the totalitarian state. So is the U.S. position to
leave things as they are or set up a peaceful long-term regime
change?”
“Well
our Iranian policy is under development,” Tillerson
replied.
“It’s
not yet been delivered to the president, but I would tell you that we
certainly recognize Iran’s continued destabilizing presence in the
region, their payment of foreign fighters, their export of militia
forces in Syria, in Iraq, in Yemen, their support for Hezbollah. And
we are taking action to respond to Iran’s hegemony. Additional
sanctions actions have been put in place against individuals and
others.”
Tillerson
also added:
“We
continually review the merits both from the standpoint of diplomatic
but also international consequences of designating the Iranian
Revolutionary Guard in its entirety as a terrorist organization. As
you know, we have designated the Quds [Force]. Our policy towards
Iran is to push back on this hegemony, contain their ability to
develop obviously nuclear weapons, and to work toward support of
those elements inside of Iran that would lead to a peaceful
transition of that government. Those elements are there, certainly as
we know.”
Tillerson’s
reference to Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons above
directly contradicts a letter he
sent to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan in April of this year. The New
York Times explained:
“The
letter certified that Iran was complying with the
agreement, negotiated
by five world powers in addition to the United States and Iran. The
International Atomic Energy Agency, which monitors the agreement with
on-site inspectors and advanced technology, reached
the same conclusion in
its most recent report.” [emphasis
added]
This
comes just over a week after Iran suffered an ISIS-inspired terror
attack of its own, after which American
lawmakers immediately proposed
sanctions against the Islamic Republic, further demonstrating that
the U.S. seeks to undermine Iran as much as possible. The sanctions
were approved by
the Senate on Thursday. Further, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.)
appeared to praise
the ISIS attack on
Iran, even suggesting the U.S. should support terrorists who commit
attacks against the Iranian state.
Unsurprisingly,
Iran was quick to respond to Tillerson’s aggressive statements. On
Thursday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram
Qassemi called Tillerson’s
comments “interventionist,
in gross violation of the compelling rules of international law,
unacceptable and strongly condemned.”
“Since
the 1950s, the United States tried to meddle in Iranian affairs by
different strategies such as coup d’état, regime change, and
military intervention,” Qassemi
also stated.
These
efforts have all failed, Qassemi said, adding that
the new U.S. government is “confused”
and could be “easily
manipulated by wrong information.”
As Anti-Media has
previously explained, Iran is one of the most
heavily engaged entities fighting
ISIS (and has been extremely
effective in
doing so). Even if Iran were supporting Houthi rebels in Yemen (the
hard evidence for this claim to date has been woefully
lacking),
the Houthis are the sworn
enemy of
al-Qaeda and ISIS – two terror groups the U.S. is currently
fighting.
This
is not to whitewash Iran for its backing of militias on the ground
who have committed
atrocities —
or Iran’s often heavy-handed
treatment of
its own people. However, the U.N. just claimed that
U.S.-led airstrikes have killed over 300 civilians after barely a
week of fighting in Syria (U.S.-backed forces have
also admitted using white
phosphorous on
these civilian populations). Further, the U.S. also maintains close
ties with other
radical nations that
have exported mass
violence and suffering on an exponential level.
Clearly,
the U.S.’ infatuation
with Iran has
nothing to do with human rights concerns, and apparently, it must be
reiterated that regime change without any official direction from the
U.N. is completely
illegal.
Iran
just elected a reformist for the second time (with a higher
voter turnout than
the U.S. elections in 2016). This reformist, Hassan
Rouhani,
is more than capable of cutting deals with the U.S and its allies.
According
to Tillerson himself, as explained above, the 2015 nuclear deal with
Iran is clearly working effectively,
further reducing any concerns regarding Iran’s capacity to pose a
nuclear threat to anyone.
Why
seek to topple a government elected by its own people? For
“democracy” and “freedom?” Or because Iran sells its
oil in Yuan,
a direct attack on America’s control over the financial markets?
The
U.S. has previously interfered in Iran’s political structure. In
1953, the CIA overthrew Iran’s democratically
elected leader,
Mohammed Mossadegh, and replaced him with a brutal dictator, Shah
Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. As explained by the Guardian,
this interference clearly had little to do with democracy-building or
human rights — and everything to do with oil:
“Britain,
and in particular Sir Anthony Eden, the foreign secretary, regarded
Mosaddeq as a serious threat to its strategic and economic interests
after the Iranian leader nationalised the British Anglo-Iranian Oil
Company, latterly known as BP. But the UK needed US support. The
Eisenhower administration in Washington was easily persuaded.”
As
far as we know, only one country has purposely used
nuclear weapons against
civilian populations and has continually used its stockpile of deadly
weapons to topple a
number of governments across
the globe without facing legal ramifications.
That
country is not Iran. As explained by
intellectual Noam Chomsky:
“Why
is Iran regarded here as the greatest threat to world peace? … They
[the intelligence community] say Iran has very low military spending,
even by the standards of the region, much lower than Saudi Arabia,
Israel, [and] others. Its strategy is defensive. They want to deter
attacks long enough for diplomacy to be entertained. The conclusion,
intelligence conclusion—this is a couple years ago—is: If they
are developing nuclear weapons, which we don’t know, but if they
are, it would be part of their deterrent strategy.”
“Now,
why is the United States and Israel even more so concerned about a
deterrent? Who’s concerned about a deterrent? Those who want to use
force. Those who want to be free to use force are deeply concerned
about a potential deterrent.”

Ongelofelijk maar waar: afgelopen week werd bekend gemaakt, dat Nederland niet een begrotingsoverschot van 3,5 miljard heeft over 2016, maar een begrotingstekort van 1 miljard euro!!
Weet u nog, het CBS bericht van 24 maart jl. (ruim voor de verkiezingen), waarin werd gesteld, dat 2016 een begrotingsoverschot heeft opgeleverd van 3,5 miljard…… Met andere woorden: het CBS gaf daarmee het kabinet Rutte 2 een 8…….
De regelmatige lezer van dit blog weet, dat ik het CBS zie als een propagandaorgaan voor de zittende regering, de cijfers pakken voor 90% goed uit voor de broodheer van het CBS, in dit geval Rutte 2.
Je zou kunnen stellen, dat deze valse claim de VVD en PvdA niet heeft geholpen hogere cijfers te behalen bij de verkiezingen, immers de PvdA werd bijna weggevaagd en de VVD verloor maar liefst 25% van haar zetels……. Echter je kan ook de vraag stellen, hoe ‘de slachting’ eruit had gezien, als het echte cijfer bekend was geweest……. Ofwel de kans dat de VVD met de verkiezingen niet de grootste partij was gebleven, zou levensgroot zijn geweest…….. Kortom het CBS heeft de verkiezingen gemanipuleerd!!
Overigens zal het niet bij één miljard blijven, daar de plaag van de Grieken, de zwaar over een hondendrol getilde PvdA zakkenwasser Dijsselbloem, na het bekend worden van de tegenvallers, de media toevoegde, dat er ‘waarschijnlijk nog een paar addertjes onder het gras zitten’. Ik zal dit even vertalen voor u: er liggen reuze pythons op het gras, pythons die je onmogelijk over het hoofd kan zien!!
Kortom, we zijn nogmaals bedonderd door het afbraakkabinet Rutte 2 in samenwerking met cijfergoochelinstituut CBS!!
In Nederland hebben we ‘de Russen’ (lees: CIA) in het geheel niet nodig voor het manipuleren van de verkiezingen! Aan nepnieuws hebben we overigens ook al decennia lang geen gebrek, gezien alle leugens in NRC, Volkskrant, Telegraaf en AD. Neem alleen al de berichtgeving in die kranten voorafgaand aan de illegale oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak (ook nu wordt er amper bericht over de vele moorden die de VS begaat in Mosul), Libië en Syrië (waar ook nog eens zwaar wordt gelogen over de rol van het Syrische leger en de Russen….)………

Het is al lang geen geheim meer, dat de eerste aanzet van de VS om tot een opstand te komen, die moest uitmonden in een staatsgreep tegen het Syrische Assad bewind, dateren van 2006…..
Uit CIA documenten, gepubliceerd op Wikileaks blijkt nu, dat de VS al in 1986 aanstuurde op een staatsgreep tegen Hafes Assad (Hafes el-Assad, de vader van de huidige Syrische president Bashar al-Assad)……
In 1986 was de maffe sociopaat en oorlogsmisdadiger Reagan president van de VS. Ook toen drong de CIA aan op het organiseren van een opstand en coup tegen het Syrische bewind. Destijds zag men de sjiitische bevolking als groep die opgezet moest worden tegen Assad. Dit terwijl juist Assad destijds, als zijn zoon tot voor 2011 de verschillende religieuze groeperingen vreedzaam met elkaar deden samenleven…….
Met de opstand die de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS in 2011 wist uit te lokken, mede door grote aantallen IS en Al Qaida strijders vanuit Libië te vervoeren richting Syrië, is deze vreedzame manier van samenleven voor een fiks deel de nek omgedraaid……….

In
January, the US Central Intelligence Agency put over 11 million of
its declassified files online. On Monday, WikiLeaks discovered that
one of these documents includes a secret report involving scenarios
for ousting Hafez Assad (Bashar Assad’s father) going back all the
way to the Reagan administration.

The document,
created under the supervision of the Director of Global Issues by the
appropriately named Foreign Subversion and Instability Center, and
distributed to senior intelligence officials, as well as officials in
the State Department, the Pentagon, Reagan Middle East policy advisor
Dennis Ross, and William Eagleton, then-US ambassador in Syria.
The
memorandum casually lays out what the CIA envisions to be the
“scenarios that could lead to the ouster of President Hafez
al-Assad in Syria.” The report makes no bones about its
“purposely provocative” nature and tone.
Predating
the 2011 Arab Spring unrest which would engulf Syria in a bloody
foreign-backed civil war by nearly a quarter of a century, the CIA
report offered an effective proto blueprint for US intelligence to
play up factionalism between the Alawite minority (to which the Assad
family belongs) and Sunni Muslims, who make up around three quarters
of Syria’s population.
Why
Assad Must Stay: ‘A War Involving Fighters From 86 Countries Isn’t a
Civil War’
The
document pointed out that while tensions between the Alawites and
Sunnis had declined significantly by the mid-1980s, “the
potential for serious communal violence remains.” In fact, the
report’s authors argued that a sectarian conflict leading to civil
war is one of the top three options for regime change in Syria, the
other two being a succession power struggle and military setbacks
abroad in Lebanon or Israel sparking a coup.
“A
Sunni rebellion in the late 1970s and early 1980s ended when Assad
crushed the Muslim Brotherhood that spearheaded it,” the report
noted. It added, however that “although we judge that fears of
reprisals and organizational problems make a second Sunni challenge
unlikely, an excessive government reaction to minor outbreaks of
Sunni dissidence might trigger large-scale unrest. In most instances
the regime would have the resources to crush a Sunni opposition
movement, but we believe widespread violence among the populace could
stimulate large numbers of Sunni officers and conscripts to desert or
mutiny, setting the stage for civil war.”
The
failed ‘Sunni challenge’ being referred to was the February 1982
storming of Hama, known in the West as the ‘Hama Massacre’, in which
the Syrian government crushed an Islamist uprising led by the Muslim
Brotherhood-led in the western Syrian city of Hama. The storming of
the city resulted in the deaths of hundreds of soldiers and militants
and several thousand civilians.
Without
getting into too many details, the report claimed that any new
“general campaign of Alawi violence against Sunnis might push
even moderate Sunnis to join the opposition. Remnants of the Muslim
Brotherhood – some returning from exile in Iraq – could provide a
core of leadership for the movement.”
Furthermore,
the report estimated that “although the regime has the resources
to crush such a venture, we believe brutal attacks on Sunni civilians
might prompt large numbers of Sunni officers and conscripts to desert
or stage mutinies in support of dissidents, and Iraq might supply
them with sufficient weapons to launch a civil war.”
Bringing
to mind the long-standing ties between Damascus and Moscow, which go
back to the 1960s, the CIA attempted to predict the Soviet Union’s
likely response to any attempt to oust Assad. It concluded that
Moscow’s best interest would be to preserve the status quo.
Expanding
on the latter idea, the report explained that “business
moderates would see a strong need for Western aid and investment to
build Syria’s private economy, thus opening the way for stronger ties
with Western governments.”

Interestingly,
unlike its Obama-era successors, the CIA of the 1980s had warned that
any prolonged chaos and civil war in Syria would turn it into a
“dangerously erratic force in the region,” and adding that
“a weak government in Damascus might heighten Syria’s
attractiveness as a base for terrorism.”
Ironically,
the report also warned that any gains the US might see by Assad’s
ouster “would be mitigated…if Sunni fundamentalists assumed
power. The reason, again, has to do with Israel’s security:
“Although Syria’s secular traditions would make it extremely
difficult for religious zealots to establish an Islamic Republic,
should they succeed they would likely deepen hostilities with Israel
and provide support and sanctuary for terrorist groups.”
In
reality, of course, the effort to destabilize Syria in the early
2010s was a joint effort by the US and its Israeli, Turkish and Gulf
State allies. It would be Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, not Iraq,
that would provide the lion’s share of the weapons used by militants.
Furthermore, the CIA report failed to mention or predict the inflow
of tens of thousands of jihadists into Syria from abroad, even though
it was employing similar tactics in Afghanistan against the Soviet
Union during this period.
It’s
unknown whether the CIA of the 1980s genuinely believed that the
‘moderates’ in whom they placed their hopes wouldn’t
immediately be swallowed up by radical Islamists, although US
experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan in the 2000s make it unlikely
that the CIA of the 2000s couldn’t foresee such an eventuality.
