Afghanistan: terugtrekking troepen gaat ten koste van collaborerende tolken

Alsof we terug zijn in de 90er jaren toen de VN troepen (lees: vooral NAVO troepen) uit voormalig Joegoslavië werden teruggetrokken en men onbeschoft stelde de tolken die voor o.a. het Nederlandse leger hadden gevochten niet op te kunnen nemen, terwijl ook de regering van PvdA oplichter Kok wist wat deze tolken en hun familie te wachten stond als ze werden opgepakt door voormalige vijanden: de dood…… 

Nu zijn de tolken en hun familie, die voor o.a. het Nederlandse leger hebben vertaald in Afghanistan de sjors, ondanks een eerdere oproep van de Kamer zitten deze tolken nog steeds in Afghanistan……. Eén en ander zou liggen aan allerlei regels die men moet volgen, ofwel Kafkaiaanse ellende waar wel eens heel snel tolken en hun familie het slachtoffer van kunnen worden, mensen die onze troepen ter zijde hebben gestaan en die in feite logischerwijs als collaborateurs worden gezien door de Taliban……

Het is overigens in Duitsland niet beter ook daar ellende over het in veiligheid stellen van de tolken die voor het Duitse leger hebben gewerkt……

Misschien nog wel schunniger is de houding van de VS, dat NB de illegale oorlog tegen Afghanistan begon, waar men weigert om ook maar één tolk direct asiel te bieden, nee de VS heeft 3 naburige landen omgekocht om deze tolken en hun familie onderdak te bieden, landen waar de VS ook militaire bases heeft of wil inrichten, daar deze dichtbij zowel de door de VS aangewezen ‘vijanden’ Rusland en Iran liggen, aldus BBC World Service radio, dat overigens niets zei over Iran en Rusland…… (het is juist andersom, deze 2 landen hebben ellende te duchten van de VS, zoals de VS al zoveel andere landen in diepe ellende heeft gestort, je kan rustig stellen dat de VS de vijand is van de mensheid die buiten de VS leeft, hoewel de VS overheid voor een flink deel van de eigen bevolking om het zacht te zeggen geen ‘vriend’ is….) 

Vorige week vrijdag meldde BNR ‘s morgens dat de voor de VS gewerkt hebbende tolken en hun families niet naar in de buurt van Afghanistan liggende landen gaan maar naar Qatar en andere Golfstaten, waar ze een proces tot toelating tot de VS moeten afwachten, maar reken gerust dat daar niets van terecht komt……. (zo’n proces kan bovendien jarenlang duren)

De terugtrekking van NAVO troepen uit Afghanistan geeft Rusland extra hoofdpijn: het winnen aan macht in Afghanistan door één van haar vijanden, te weten ISIS dat de laatste jaren een voet aan de grond kreeg in Afghanistan. Rusland schoot Syrië te hulp in haar strijd tegen de door de VS, Saoedi-Arabië en Egypte via Irak ingevlogen terreurgroepen, groepen als ISIS die voor een flink deel werden overgebracht vanuit Libië, een ander land dat als Afghanistan door de NAVO o.l.v. de VS naar de verdommenis is geholpen…… Door de hulp van Rusland aan Syrië, waarna ISIS echt werd bestreden, wordt door deze terreurgroep dan ook als een vijand gezien en door het vertrek van de NAVO troepen zal deze terreurgroep nu aan de grens staan van Rusland….

Russia is right to be alarmed about
the impending chaos in Afghanistan as the
United States and NATO forces finally scurry
away from the war-torn country.


After 20 years of waging a futile war in the
Central Asian nation, costing over 241,000 lives
and trillions of dollars, the US military is
pulling out in haste. 

Most of its remaining
3,000 troops have hurriedly vacated the country
in recent days from the giant Bagram Airbase
north of the capital, Kabul. There was hardly
any media coverage of the momentous yet shameful
exit, which evokes memories of the disgraceful
Fall of Saigon when the last of US military and
CIA operatives fled Vietnam in 1975 like rats
off a sinking ship.

US President Joe Biden had earlier this year
declared a September deadline for withdrawing
forces. The retreat has happened already,
leaving Afghanistan with an uncertain and
dangerous future.

The American commander of US forces, General
Scott Miller, last week warned that
Afghanistan is now facing a surge in civil war
as Taliban militants push Afghan troops backed by
Washington into ever-decreasing urban areas of
control.

The perplexing thing for Russia is that
Afghanistan has become a growth
area for the Daesh* terror group which seems to
have taken advantage of the void left by the
Americans and other NATO forces. Daesh shares a
similar fundamentalist Islamic ideology with the
Taliban and there is good reason to suspect a level
of cooperation between the two. That suggests that
Afghanistan will become an even bigger haven for
terrorist networks despite Taliban assurances that
it will not.

If the Taliban and Daesh over-run Afghanistan in
the next months, which is likely given the weak
nature of US-backed Afghan security forces, then
Russia will have a radical caliphate on its southern
flank. It was to prevent such a threat to its
national security that Moscow decided to intervene
in the Syrian war to help the Assad government
defeat jihadists and thereby prevent similar
militants migrating to its Caucasia regions.

The jihadist problem of Syria was created by the
United States and NATO partners as a covert

means for regime change against President Assad.
The Russian military intervention put paid to that
American subterfuge by crushing the array of Daesh-affiliated
militants.

Now, ironically, the disorderly American defeat
in Afghanistan is creating potential headaches for
Russia.

Nikolai Patrushev, the head of Russia’s national
security council, has been

in discussions with Kabul to reportedly map out
ways by which Moscow can help maintain regional
stability. The discussions have been made all the
more pressing by the rapid pullout by the Americans.

“The suppression of terrorism and drug crimes,
as well as trade, economic and
military-technical cooperation, were discussed
in detail”, the Russian security council
statement said.

Russia’s foreign minister

Sergei Lavrov has also expressed concern about
the spread of Daesh in northern Afghanistan. Lavrov
blamed the complacency by politicians in Kabul to
engage in peace talks with the Taliban as being a
factor in why Daesh is burgeoning amid the internal
chaos.

Moscow’s experience of Afghanistan is not a happy
one. When the Soviet Union intervened in 1979 to
support a then allied government in Kabul against
US-backed Mujahideen (a forerunner of the Taliban),
that led to a disastrous 10-year war which gravely
weakened the Soviet Union.

American imperial machinations in Afghanistan –
supposedly in revenge for purported 9/11 terror
attacks on the US in 2001 – have created an utter
catastrophe. After two decades, Afghanistan lies in
ruins and the

Taliban are poised to once again be back in power.
A recent study by Brown University estimates the
cost of the war at $2.26 trillion. That cost will
grow into the future amid healthcare payouts for
veterans and financial interest. More than 71,000
Afghan civilians were killed. And for what?
Afghanistan is American imperial hubris and state
terrorism gone mad.

It is a bitter repercussion that the criminal
destruction of Afghanistan by Washington is now
bequeathing a national security problem for Russia
and other neighbouring nations. It is tempting to
suspect that the Americans are deliberately
offloading their mess onto Russia and cynically
enjoying the dilemma being foisted on Moscow.

* Daesh (ISIS/ISIL/”Islamic State”) is a
terrorist organisation banned in Russia

Navalny wordt geprezen terwijl Assange wordt gemarteld

Ongelofelijk
hoe Navalny wordt geprezen in het westen, waarbij men stelt dat hij
bewust het risico heeft genomen te worden vermoord in Rusland, door
terug te keren naar dat land….. Niemand, dus geen westerse
politicus of ‘journalist’, die aangeeft dat Navalny werd veroordeeld
voor fraude en verduistering en zich niet heeft gehouden aan de
voorwaarden waaraan hij zich had onderworpen bij zijn vrijlating…..
Anders gezegd: Navalny misbruikt zijn verplichting om zich te melden
bij de autoriteiten voor eigen gewin als politicus, die overigens
maar heel weinig succes had als zodanig, 2% van de stemmen is het
hoogste dat hij heeft behaald……. Oh bijna vergeten: uiteraard staat er in Rusland
niet de doodstraf op het niet nakomen van de voorwaarden tot
invrijheidstelling…..

Men misbruikt de arrestatie van Navalny als het zoveelste instrument om Rusland te demoniseren en dit in de hersenen van de westerse
bevolking te spoelen……. Alleen het feit al dat men in het westen durft te beweren dat Navalny werd vergiftigd met novitsjok is een leugen van fomraat, immers zelfs een heel kleine hoeveelheid van dit chemische wapen is zonder meer dodelijk!!! (terwijl men een paar weken geleden in Duitsland zelfs met de fantasie kwam dat Navalny 2 keer is vergifitgd met novitsjok…. ha! ha! ha! ha!) Niet vreemd dan ook dat Duitsland weigerde Rusland de beschikking te geven over de onderzoeksgegevens die tot de conclusie hebben geleid dat Navalny zou zijn vergiftigd met novitsjok……

Hoe
anders gaat men om met Julian Assange, de gelauwerde
onderzoeksjournalist die sinds zijn arrestatie in Engeland in
isolatiefolter wordt gehouden, alleen omdat hij oorlogsmisdaden van de
VS aan de grote klok heeft gehangen, waarbij de meest bekende openbaring, het beschieten van weerloze mensen in Irak waarbij zelfs 2 journalisten werden vermoord door VS militairen vanuit een helikopter…… Zonder enig onderzoek
hebben zelfs zijn collega ‘journalisten’ Assange besmeurt als
verrader, spion en charlatan, een schande die wat betreft zogenaamde
onafhankelijke journalistiek niet eerder werd gezien (althans als je
de journalistiek in nazi-Duitsland of andere dictaturen niet als
zodanig ziet) De huidige reguliere westerse massamedia zijn dan ook
in handen van spuugrijke figuren die maar één belang hebben: de
hedendaagse neoliberale status quo bestendigen……

Finian
Cunningham heeft volkomen terecht de ophef over de duidelijk te
verklaren arrestatie van Navalny vergeleken met het geïsoleerd
gevangen houden (isolatiefolter) van Assange…. Vergeet daarnaast niet dat Navalny de
Russische regering en Putin in het bijzonder op zo’n manier heeft
gedemoniseerd dat men in het westen alweer schreeuwt om sancties
tegen Rusland….. Als Navalny een VS burger was geweest en hij was
na terug te zijn gekeerd gearresteerd zou er amper ophef zijn geweest
in de westerse media en politiek! Hoe is het dan in godsnaam mogelijk
dat men Assange kwalijk neemt dat hij oorlogsmisdaden van de VS heeft
geopenbaard…….

Vandaag
vinden er demonstraties plaats in Rusland vanwege de arrestatie van
Navalny. Radio1`meldde vanmorgen dat er in diverse steden honderden
mensen de straat op zijn gegaan om te demonstreren, waar eerdere berichten over dit
soort demo’s werden gelogenstraft door de beelden waar je op z’n best
een mens of vijftig op straat ziet, maar ja het gaat om Rusland en
dan schijnt elke leugen geoorloofd te zijn…..

Navalny
Touted, Assange Tortured

–  Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny was detained on
returning to Russia from Germany for good, legal reason. He had made
a mockery of his parole license.

Navalny is a convicted
felon, found guilty of fraud and embezzlement by a Russian court in
2014. But his jail sentence had been suspended with the condition
that he report regularly to Russia’s prison authorities. A normal
condition.

For nearly five
months, however, he had sojourned out of the country as a de facto
guest
of German authorities. That’s a brazen breach of his parole
conditions. And the Russian prison service was right in issuing him a
warning at the end of last month that violation of his suspended jail
term risked the sentence being converted into detention behind bars.

It’s a sovereign
matter of Russian laws that on returning to Russia at the weekend
Navalny was arrested and is now in custody awaiting court proceedings
in coming weeks on whether to revoke his suspended sentence.

The hue and cry from
Western politicians and human rights groups over his arrest Sunday at
Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport is predictable.

High level officials
from the United States, Britain, Germany and France, among others,
have all made strident statements demanding Navalny’s release.

Britain’s Foreign
Minister Dominic Raab called the dissident figure’s arrest
“appalling”.

For all these
supposedly concerned advocates of human rights there are only two
words: Julian Assange.

Assange is languishing
in a British torture-dungeon, persecuted
by the American and British governments for the “crime” of
revealing to the world the truth about illegal wars and war crimes
committed by the United States and Britain.

In all of the years of
Assange’s barbaric detention, there has never been a fraction of
the official Western public outcry that has been expressed for
Navalny.

That’s because
Navalny, unlike Assange, is a political asset for a Western agenda to
undermine Russia.

Alexei

There are good grounds
to believe the Russian blogger-cum-media-activist is funded and
directed by Western intelligence services. Everything about his
gadfly campaigning smacks of orchestration as an agent provocateur.

The way that Navalny
has coordinated closely with Western media and intelligence outfits
like Bellingcat to peddle the story that he was allegedly poisoned
with Soviet nerve agent Novichok is strong evidence of his
provocateur function. And the way that Western media routinely
“report” the alleged poisoning as if it is fact is demonstration
of how such media are totally dominated
by propaganda service to geopolitical agenda.

When Navalny was
treated in a Russian hospital after apparently becoming suddenly ill
on August 20 onboard a flight to Moscow from Siberia, the doctors
found no poisons in his system. The medics said the apparent illness
was due to metabolic shock from possible misuse of his own medicines
for diabetes, depression and perhaps excess alcohol.

Conspicuously, days
later after he was airlifted for further hospital treatment in
Berlin, then the German authorities announced they had detected
poisoning
with nerve agent.

No evidence has ever
been presented by the German authorities or other NATO laboratories
in such a way that is independently verifiable.

Russia has been denied
access to any of their alleged data in order to verify, yet Moscow is
condemned for not carrying out a criminal investigation into the
alleged poisoning.

Not only that but
while Navalny was supposedly recuperating in Germany from a super
lethal toxin he somehow had the media resources to purportedly set up
prank calls to trick a Russian secret service member to confess to an
assassination plot, a plot which the artful activist claimed was
ordered by the highest Kremlin authorities. Russia has dismissed that
media stunt as a fake.

Clearly, there was
something inordinately irregular going on – and it wasn’t from
the Russian side. How was it that a dubious figure with foreign
sponsors could get away with making sensational accusations against
the Russian government based on no verifiable evidence?

Accusations which were
amplified without question by Western
media and politicians.

And all the while this
dodgy character Navalny is making a mockery of his parole for a
suspended jail sentence. Not only that but there is patently supreme
arrogance from him and his foreign allies that Russian sovereign laws
can be mocked with impunity.

The Western
overreaction to his rightful arrest on returning to Russia after five
months of orchestrating a hostile foreign media campaign is proof of
their arrogance.

And while Julian
Assange is languishing in prison that is damning proof of Western
deceit, duplicity and hypocrisy.

De door
de CIA georganiseerde en geregisseerde doodseskaders in Afghanistan richten
bloedbaden aan onder de burgers en terroriseren de bevolking. Als
Biden over een dag of tien  aan het bewind komt zou hij direct een eind
moeten maken aan deze terreur en massamoorden…..

Uit een
onlangs op The Intercept gepubliceerd rapport blijkt dat deze
doodseskaders in verschillende Afghaanse provincies een systematisch
moordprogramma uitvoeren……

In 2019
tijdens een periode van 6 maanden werden meer dan 50 burgers
vermoord, inclusief vrouwen en kinderen dit in 10 verschillende
bloedbaden en deze cijfers komen nog maar uit 1 provincie………

Het
verantwoordelijke doodseskader, aangeduid als ‘Unit 01’ bestaat uit
Afghaans ‘personeel’ (terroristen) en zijn getraind en bewapend door
agenten uit de VS, zoals gezegd worden ze begeleid en staan onder
commando van CIA agenten……. Deze illegale acties zouden door het
Witte Huis zijn goedgekeurd en worden uitgevoerd onder de zogenaamde
‘Titel 50 militaire code’, zodat deze figuren niet voor hun
vreselijke oorlogsmisdaden kunnen worden vervolgd…….

De gekozen president Biden beklaagt zich erover dat hij van Trump geen toegang
krijgt tot instructies op het gebied van nationale veiligheid
(waaronder deze afschuwelijke oorlogsmisdaden belachelijk genoeg
schijnen te vallen, alsof ze in de VS worden uitgevoerd….). Welnu
als Biden straks in het Witte Huis trekt kan hij zijn lol op! Hij zal
worden geïnformeerd over het ‘anti-terreurprogramma’ en de daarvoor
gebruikte doodseskaders en hij zal voor de keus komen te staan dit
programma te blijven steunen of te stoppen, een programma dat juist het tegenovergestelde is van wat het zou moeten
zijn, dus i.p.v. terreur te bestrijden, oefent men schrikbarende
terreur uit op de Afghaanse bevolking die zoals uit onderzoek blijkt,
niets te maken heeft met de strijd van de Taliban en zoals het zich
laat aanzien die van ISIS….. (al is die VS terreur dan weer niet vreemd, immers dat ‘land’ is verreweg de grootste terreurentiteit ter wereld, waarbij je niet moet vergeten dat ook de oorlog tegen het Afghaanse volk in feite illegaal was en is, terreur van de ergste soort…..) Dan te bedenken dat men zich vooral in het westen druk maakt over de bestorming van het Capitol…….

Het
bewijs voor deze CIA terreur is overweldigend, meerdere getuigen,
zoals dorpsleiders en veiligheidsbeambten spreken over door VS
officieren geleide doodseskaders, hetzelfde geld voor andere Units
als Unit 01, die in andere Afghaanse provincies opereren…. Ook
worden chinook helikopters en straaljagers van de VS gebruikt tijdens
deze operaties, zogenaamd tegen Taliban kopstukken, echter zoals
eerder gezegd belaagt men vooral de gewone bevolking…… Deze
manier van ‘werken’ dateert al van 2017 toen striktere regels voor
strijd werden losgelaten door de Trump administratie, die clandestiene
operaties nog meer steunde dan voorheen onder Obama en George W. Bush….. (ook destijds werden geheime militaire acties uitgevoerd onder bevel van de CIA, al was dat overwegend met militairen uit de VS, dan wel militairen van particuliere organisaties uit datzelfde ‘land…’)

De kans
dat Biden een eind zal maken aan deze smerige oorlogsmisdaden is zeer
klein, niet in de laatste plaats daar de opvolgende presidenten CIA
acties die dateren van de vorige administratie gewoon laten
doorgaan….. Bovendien wilde Biden als vicepresident onder Obama een
meer agressieve aanpak van Afghanistan…… Een teken aan de wand wat dat betreft is wel dat Biden op de hoogte
zou zijn van deze illegale acties, maar daarvoor niet de Trump administratie op het spreekwoordelijke matje heeft geroepen, laat staan dat hij
openlijk kritiek heeft geuit op deze oorlogsmisdaden ofwel vreselijke terreur……

Biden
heeft overigens ook in zijn verkiezingscampagne gezegd dat hij de
aanpak van Venezuela en Iran door de Trump administratie als zwak
beoordeelt, dat belooft niet veel goeds voor de Afghaanse bevolking,
immers als hij de CIA terreur zou veroordelen en stoppen, zou hij
volgens eigen inzicht en beschuldigingen aan het adres van de Trump administratie tegelijk laten zien zwak te zijn als het om
Afghanistan gaat…..

– CIA-backed death squads are running amok in Afghanistan, murdering
civilians and terrorizing the population. When Joe Biden becomes
president in three weeks, he should prioritize ending this “Murder
Inc.”

A newly published
investigative report
has uncovered a systematic assassination program conducted by the CIA
in several provinces across Afghanistan.

In just one six-month
period during 2019, it was found that over 50 civilians, including
women and children, were murdered in 10 separate massacres studied,
according to author Andrew Quilty. That was merely a sample of
killings in one province, Wardak.

The death squad, known
as “Unit 01”, comprises locally recruited Afghans but they are
trained, equipped and directed by American operatives.

There is no doubt that
the clandestine CIA operation would have top-level clearance from the
White House. It is carried out under so-called “Title 50”
military code which shields the operatives from prosecution of war
crimes. Only the president can sign off on that level of clearance.

Joe Biden, the
incoming Democrat president-elect, has complained that the incumbent
Trump administration has denied him access to classified national
security briefings. Well, Biden will soon get full access after his
inauguration on January 20. In that case, the new president will
inevitably be apprised of the Afghan “counter-terror operations”
and its death squads. He faces a choice on whether to terminate the
program.

The evidence for the
CIA murder operations is overwhelming. Afghan community leaders and
security officials testified that “Unit 01” and its counterparts
in other provinces are run by shadowy American officers who accompany
the death squads during their raids on villages and farms.

Dozens of Afghan
residents and survivors of the attacks also describe US-led
operations.

Furthermore, the death
squads are supported with US Chinook transport helicopters, fighter
planes, gunships and drones.

The official American
position is that its military forces are tasked with defeating the
Taliban militants who oppose the US-backed regime in Kabul. But the
killings carried out by the CIA-led squads target civilians in what
appears to be a bludgeoning policy of terrorism and intimidation. In
most of the atrocities investigated there were no links between the
victims and the Taliban.

Under Donald Trump and
then head of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, who later became Secretary of
State, the US military operations in Afghanistan underwent a shift in
late 2017. There was more emphasis on clandestine operations and a
loosening of rules of engagement.

During Trump’s term
in office, there has been a huge surge in civilian deaths in
Afghanistan, partly from increased airstrikes, but also from the CIA
death squads running amok. At the same time, however, Trump has
crowed about withdrawing conventional troops from Afghanistan under a
supposed peace deal with the Taliban. This has allowed the Republican
president to claim that he is delivering on election promises to wind
down overseas wars like Afghanistan – which at two decades’
duration is the longest foreign war ever waged by the United States.

What Joe Biden does
about this remains to be seen, but the signals are not good. For a
start, almost every American president has signed off on CIA murder
programs, from Guatemala and Iran in the 1950s, to Cuba and Vietnam
in the 1960s, to El Salvador and Nicaragua in the 1970s and 80s, and
many, many more besides. It’s a routine part of the dirty business
of being an American president.

That’s why it is so
contemptible and absurd for Biden and others to have lambasted Trump
over unsubstantiated US media reports of Russia allegedly running
bounty-hunter
schemes in Afghanistan to kill American troops. There was never
any evidence for such a fable, which even the Pentagon was obliged to
dismiss as unfounded. And as usual, the media furore evaporated as
quickly as it erupted, belying its credibility.

Meanwhile, it emerges
that under Trump’s watch the Americans have been carrying out
systematic assassinations of Afghan civilians with CIA death squads.
Where are Biden’s condemnations?

Biden is associated
with urging former President Barack Obama to take a more aggressive
military line in Afghanistan when he was vice president (2008-2016).
Biden favoured “kick-the-door-down” night raids by special
forces. It is therefore very unlikely that he will repudiate the
Murder Inc which Trump has unleashed in Afghanistan.

What Biden brings to
the new White House regime is an extra layer of moral corruption and
hypocrisy under the guise of being a “liberal Democrat”.

Joe Biden (Democratisch presidentskandidaat): Rusland trekt bondgenootschappen uit elkaar

Joe
Biden de presidentskandidaat voor de Democraten vindt het nodig om
nog harder te blaffen tegen landen als Rusland, China, Iran en
Venezuela, dan Trump heeft gedaan de afgelopen jaren….. Zo stelt hij
dat Rusland bondgenootschappen uit elkaar trekt….. Met
bondgenootschappen bedoelt Biden eufemistisch het baas spelen over
andere NAVO-lidstaten (waar de VS al sinds de oprichting van dit
bondgenootschap de militaire leider is van de NAVO, Ap). Rusland zou
de kwaadaardige partij zijn die chaos zaait en de VS macht
ondermijnt…….. Eén en ander is onderdeel van de analyse die
Finian Cunningham geeft in het artikel dat hieronder is opgenomen.

Cunningham
stelt dat Rusland allesbehalve nodig is om het trans-Atlantische
bondgenootschap op te blazen, dat kan dit bondgenootschap zelf
uitstekend, gezien de ontwikkelingen van het laatste jaar…..
Sterker nog: het is Rusland die probeert de boel te sussen in het
gebied van de Middellandse Zee wat betreft Cyprus, waar NAVO-partners
Griekenland en Turkije tegenover elkaar staan, het land heeft zelfs
aangeboden te bemiddelen tussen de partijen……..

Gezien
het voorgaande is het duidelijk dat Rusland de NAVO helpt, terwijl
dit agressieve bondgenootschap, beter gezegd de op één na grootste
terreurorganisaties ter wereld (de VS is verreweg de grootste), Rusland continu tart aan haar
westgrenzen met militaire oefeningen waarbij haar straaljagers en
marineschepen met grote regelmaat het Russische luchtruim resp. de
territoriale wateren van Rusland schendt…….

Het
voorgaande, terwijl Frankrijk en Italië Griekenland steunen in haar
eis dat Turkije moet stoppen met het zoeken en eventueel exploreren
van een groot gasveld voor de kust van Cyprus. De boel is intussen zoals
je ongetwijfeld weet verder aan het escaleren door de moord van een
radicale moslim die zijn docent ombracht en onthoofde, waarbij de
Franse president Macron en de reli-fascistische Turkse president
Erdogan elkaar in de haren vliegen en Erdogan Macron beschuldigt van
het stimuleren van ‘islamofobie…..’

Cunningham
noemt als andere zaken die het NAVO-bondgenootschap ondermijnen de
stationering in Turkije van het Russische S-400
luchtdoelraketsysteem, de strijd in Libië, waar Turkije en Italië
een andere ‘warlord’ steunen dan Griekenland en Frankrijk….. Ook het conflict in Nagorno-Karabach verdeelt
het bondgenootschap, waar Turkije de kant heeft gekozen van
Azerbeidzjan en daar daadwerkelijk mee heeft geholpen aan de
strijd, terwijl de VS, Frankrijk en Rusland daar de toestand rustig
hebben proberen te houden met een OVSE Minsk ‘team……’ (OVSE: Organisatie voor Veiligheid en Samenwerking in Europa  >> internationaal:OSCE)

Finian
stelt verder nog dat Duitsland pissig zou zijn over het verplaatsen van VS troepen vanuit Duitsland naar Polen en de Baltische Staten,
echter daar twijfel ik aan, oké het kost wat werkgelegenheid maar er
zijn meer dan voldoende burgers die de VS op Duits grondgebied meer
dan zat zijn….. Daar dit onderdeel is van de eis van Trump dat de
NAVO-partners meer zouden moeten bijdragen aan het bondgenootschap,
is dit veel meer van belang, immers daardoor zou bij de andere NAVO partners
de idee zijn ontstaan dat de de Trump administratie niet meer hecht aan het
bondgenootschap. (wat feitelijk ook zo is)

Biden
heeft beloofd het bondgenootschap te repareren als hij tot president
wordt verkozen en dat betekent volgens Cunningham dat Biden meer
troepen naar Europa zal sturen en de agressie tegen Rusland verder
zal opvoeren…… Biden heeft dan ook gesteld dat Rusland het
grootste gevaar vormt voor de VS en haar allianties…….

Met
Rusland en China als aangewezen vijanden van de VS zou Biden de
tegenstrijdigheden binnen de NAVO en die met de onderlinge ‘bondgenootschappen’ (dus met afzonderlijke NAVO-lidstaten) willen
gladstrijken, daarbij zou de VS conflicten en zelfs oorlog nastreven
(‘niets beter dan oorlog om verstoorde vriendschappen te
herstellen’), al heeft de VS daar de NAVO niet voor nodig, zoals ook de recente geschiedenis uitwijst….. (echter wel als zo’n oorlog eenmaal gaande is, terwijl de VS zonder meer kan rekenen op militaire steun van NAVO-partner Groot-Brittannië, zelfs al bij de illegale aanval op een zogenaamde vijand…..)

Volgens
Cunningham zal dit een zware dobber worden voor Biden, zeker gezien
de deplorabele toestand van de wereldeconomie door het Coronavirus,
deze verscherpt de tegenstand tussen de partners binnen de NAVO en
zal de poging van Biden om Rusland de schuld te geven van het uit
elkaar trekken van de NAVO (‘en bondgenootschappen’) en zijn
poging de boel te pamperen gedoemd te zijn te mislukken……
(althans als hij de verkiezingen wint……)

Natuurlijk
zou Rusland graag zien dat de NAVO zich terugtrekt van haar grenzen, waar dit bondgenootschap Rusland keer op keer provoceert en waar de VS een zogenaamd
anti-raketsysteem heeft geïnstalleerd in Polen en Roemenië (een
systeem waarvan de raketten in een mum van tijd kunnen worden uitgerust met meerdere
kernkoppen, zodat de VS de grote steden in Rusland kan treffen en waarmee de VS het door haarzelf opgezegde INF-verdrag
schendt…)…. Waar het terugtrekken van de VS uit andere akkoorden
alleen de NAVO dreiging voor Rusland heeft vergroot…. Echter
Rusland heeft niets van doen met het gekrakeel binnen de NAVO, dit
heeft alles te maken met rivaliteit binnen de NAVO lidstaten en het
verlies van de VS grip op dit bondgenootschap, zo eindigt Cunningham
zijn artikel en ik kan hem daarin alleen maar gelijk geven!! (en
laten we hopen dat de NAVO geheel uit elkaar valt, deze
terreurorganisatie had al begin 90er jaren opgedoekt moeten worden,
tegelijk met het Warschaupact!!)

Kortom
je zou bijna hopen dat Trump wint, immers hij speelt de NAVO uit
elkaar, waar Biden de VS terreur over de wereld verder zal
vergroten…… Eén ding is zeker, als Bernie Sanders i.p.v.
oorlogsmisdadiger Joe Biden de Democratische voorverkiezingen had
gewonnen zou de situatie er heel anders uitzien…….

–  Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has blamed Russia
for “tearing up our alliances”. By “alliances”, he means
euphemistically the US empire lording it over vassals among the NATO
military bloc.

It’s a tedious
charge repeatedly made against Moscow by Washington which views
Russia as an ever-present bogeyman, masterminding chaos and
undermining US power. If it were not for those damn Ruskies, so the
reasoning goes, how happy and harmonious the “free
world”
and its American patron would be.

What Biden fails to
notice or admit is the US-led transatlantic alliance is doing a
pretty good job at blowing itself up without any help from Russia
whatsoever. And a big factor has been the open contempt and bullying
by the Trump administration over the past four years which serves to
starkly show how subservient the European “allies”
really are.

Ironically, just as
Russia is accused yet again of sowing division, Moscow has in recent
days
called for the calming of tensions between NATO members Turkey
and Greece in their dispute over East Mediterranean energy resources.
Russia offered to mediate in the crisis. So much for trying to tear
up alliances.

That’s not the only
fracture line in the 30-nation military club. For months now, France
and Italy are backing Greece in its long-running territorial conflict
with Turkey over Cyprus and surrounding maritime areas. French
President Emmanuel Macron has
warned of “red lines” against Ankara.

Macron and Turkish
leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan are but the two lightning-rod figures for
current tensions within NATO. Their jousting has taken on explosive
heat this week over the controversy about French secularism and
“Islamist
separatism”
after the beheading of a schoolteacher near Paris for displaying
caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.

Erdogan has slammed
Macron for “encouraging
Islamophobia”
and being mentally retarded, a verbal onslaught which has prompted
leaders from Germany and Netherlands to express solidarity with the
French president. There are musings on whether Turkey should be
allowed to remain part of NATO given the divergence in “shared
values”.

The bad blood is
oozing over other theaters of conflict where NATO members are in
effect waging proxy wars. In Libya’s civil war, Italy has at times
lined up with Turkey to back the Government of National Accord in
Tripoli, while France and Greece are on the opposing side of
strongman Khalifa Haftar and his Libyan National Army.

That stand-off has
even seen
reports of Turkey’s navy targeting French warships in the
Mediterranean. Paris reacted furiously to “extreme
aggression”
by Turkey and withdrew from the NATO mission Operation Sea Guardian
in protest. Macron said the clash underlined his earlier statement
about NATO being “brain
dead”.

Then there are other
NATO tensions: Turkey’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 air-defense
system; and European disapproval of Turkey’s incursion into
northern Syria against Kurdish militia, while the Trump
administration was out of step with Europe by acquiescing to the
Turkish operation.

The flare-up in war
between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave has
elicited more turmoil within NATO with Turkey’s support for
Azerbaijan challenging the mediatory role of the US and France –
along with Russia – as part of the OSCE Minsk Group supposedly
overseeing peacekeeping in that three-decade frozen conflict.

Germany is at odds
with Poland and the Baltic states over the planned redeployment of
American troops from the former to the latter. US President Trump has
ordered the relocation of forces as a form of chastisement of Berlin
for not meeting its spending commitments to NATO. That has been part
of a wider drive by Trump to berate European allies for not pulling
their weight on military budgets. This has, in turn, led European
allies to doubt Washington’s strategic commitments to joint
defense.

Presidential rival Joe
Biden says he will repair the tattered NATO alliance if he is elected
and thereby restore confidence in America’s leadership. That
implies a Biden administration will increase US forces across Europe
and take a more belligerent tone towards Russia. Could Washington’s
tone get any more belligerent, one may ask? Biden last weekend called
Russia the “biggest
threat”
to “our
security and alliances”.

More than 70 years
after its founding in 1949 and nearly three decades since the fall of
the Soviet Union, it is evident that NATO is an unwieldy military
behemoth that is desperately in need of a unifying purpose. It’s a
floundering relic of the Cold War.

Russia, as usual, is
being targeted as an enemy, as well as China, with the desired
objective of galvanizing NATO members and US “alliances”, which
provide Washington’s traditional position of dominance over
assorted minions. The logic implies the pursuit of conflict, even
war, with either Russia or China in order to shore up the US position
and its NATO facade.

However, in a time of
diverging national interests, severe global economic downturn, and
social turmoil over the coronavirus pandemic, the NATO fractures are
growing ever sharper – and Russia’s alleged malign ambitions have
nothing to do with the inherent dynamic of disunity. Biden’s latest
bid to scapegoat Russia for undermining US alliances is tantamount to
papering over the cracks within.

Russia no doubt would
like to see the back of NATO given the relentless provocations on its
borders from increasing maneuvers by warplanes and the installation
of missile systems. The US withdrawal from arms control treaties with
Russia adds to the NATO threat. Nevertheless, the root problem of US
alliances tearing at the seams is an intrinsic part of emerging
Western rivalries and the loss of American grip over its vassals.

Cunningham publiceerde een artikel op Sputnik dat ik overnam van
Information Clearing House (ICH), waarin deze terecht kritiek levert
op de enorme hypocrisie in het westen over moorden begaan door de VS
(en toegegeven, dus onderzoek naar de waarheid is overbodig)….. Moorden door de VS begaan
waarvoor men niet eens met de ogen knippert, laat staan kritiek
levert, terwijl een niet bewezen aanslag op Navalny (als die op de
Skripals) de westerse media en politiek doen schreeuwen om sancties tegen Rusland…… (ook voor de aanslag op de Skripals is geen bewijs dat deze door Rusland zou zijn begaan!!)

Volkomen
terechte kritiek van Cunningham, mensen lees dit bericht en zegt het
voort, de hoogste tijd dat men eens ontwaakt uit de propaganda-coma
en men zich druk maakt om echte agressie en terreur, te weten die van
de VS met hulp van de andere NAVO-partners, grootschalige terreur die
miljoenen mensen op de vlucht heeft doen slaan en die ervoor heeft
gezorgd dat we terreur op de westerse straten kregen…… Terreur
van jihadisten waarover men zich wel druk maakt, zonder dat iemand
even de ogen opent en ziet waar die agressie van moslims vandaan
komt: (nogmaals) grootschalige westerse terreur die alleen deze eeuw al aan ruim
meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen het leven heeft gekost, ofwel die zijn
vermoord door de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS en dat met hulp van haar oorlogshond en
terreurorganisatie NAVO…… (en ja ook Nederland heeft daaraan meegewerkt en is daarom aan te merken als oorlogsmisdadiger….)

Er moet
een eind komen aan deze westerse massamoorden en terreur als we niet nog meer terreurmoorden in het westen willen zien en niet in de
laatste plaats mensen op de vlucht willen zien slaan, deze westerse terreur
moet beëindigd worden en de schuldigen dienen te worden berecht
door het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC)….. Onder de aangeklaagden zouden
ook figuren behoren als ex-CDA premier Balkenende en diens secondant
en partijgenoot de Hoop Scheffer, die niet alleen als minister zou
moeten worden vervolgd, maar ook voor zijn hoofdrol in de NAVO als
secretaris-generaal, waardoor hij moet worden gezien als een ‘zware’ oorlogsmisdadiger…… (uiteraard geldt hetzelfde voor de
kabinetten Rutte en de verantwoordelijken in die kabinetten, zoals hare VVD leeghoofdigheid en oorlogsmisdadiger Hennis-Plasschaert, nu godbetert speciaal VN-gezant voor Irak, hoe hard kan je een volk schofferen waarvan 2 miljoen mensen werden vermoord in de illegale VS/NAVO oorlog!!)

Vanmorgen werd gemeld dat Navalny het ziekenhuis heeft verlaten, reden om nog eens haat te zaaien tegen Rusland: het zou volgens de media schandalig zijn dat Rusland durft te vragen om bewijzen voor de novitsjok vergiftiging van Navalny, ook zou Rusland onderzoek tegen werken (oh vandaar dat Rusland onmiddellijk toestemming gaf om de kleding die Navalny droeg toen hij werd opgenomen, op te sturen naar Duitsland….), terwijl Duitsland in werkelijkheid weigert om Russische deskundigen toe te laten tot het onderzoek…. Hetzelfde gebeurde eerder in de zaak Skripal, ook toen mocht Rusland niet meewerken aan het onderzoek…… Hoeveel bewijs wil je hebben voor het smerig handelen door westerse landen als Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië….??!!!

–  Amazing isn’t it? Western states vehemently demand
sanctions on Russia over unproven and, frankly, tenuous allegations
of assassination. Yet the self-declared leader of the Western world,
Donald Trump, openly brags about ordering assassinations. And nothing
but silence follows.

Irony, it can be said,
is dead, or rather assassinated by countless violations of
international law by American power, with the silent complicity of
Western states and mainstream media. (More on that in a moment.)

Russian political
dissident Alexei Navalny apparently recovered this week in a German
hospital after nearly three weeks of being in a coma. Germany has
claimed that Navalny was poisoned with a lethal nerve poison,
accusing Russia of foul play. Other Western states have likewise
implicated Moscow and are demanding the imposition of sanctions.

Since the Germans have
not provided any evidence to back up their ostentatious claims,
no-one can really know what happened Navalny except that he was flown
out of Russia to Berlin on 22 August showing no signs of poisoning,
according to Russian doctors who had examined him thoroughly. The
Russian medics concluded Navalny may have suffered from diabetic
shock. The whole case is fraught with obscurity and lack of due
process, thanks to Berlin’s remarkable lack of information – an
obduracy that breaches diplomatic and legal norms.

Same can
be noted for the Sergei Skripal case, the former MI6 spy whom the
British government claim was poisoned by Kremlin agents back in 2018.
Again, as in the Navalny case, no evidence has been presented by
London, yet the British accusation have all been taken as good coin
by Western states which have railed against Russia with punitive
sanctions.

Now contrast this
reflexive and self-righteous Western response towards Russia based on
flimsy hearsay and convoluted claims with the abject blanket silence
towards US President Trump and his avowed assassination efforts.

Trump claimed this
week that he wanted to order the murder of Syrian President Bashar
al-Assad over an alleged chemical weapons attack in 2017. Turns out
that Trump was over-ruled by the Pentagon, although the US did carry
out a barrage of air strikes against Syria. 

Turns out too that the
chemical weapons attack was most likely a false flag provocation by
Western-backed militants, according to whistleblowers in the
Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), as reported by
Wikileaks and The Gray Zone, among others. So, in that case, the US
air strikes were a war crime and Trump’s aborted assassination plan
against Assad would have been cold-blooded murder of a foreign
leader.

Trump bragged about
his desire to commit murder this week. Just as he has done on several
occasions of his
actual assassination order on the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani
earlier this year. The US has never presented any evidence in an
attempt to justify the drone-murder of Soleimani. All we have heard
are American smears against the revered Iranian commander whose
region-wide fight against terrorism is a matter of record.

There is, of course,
nothing new about American presidents ordering assassinations against
foreign citizens. Summary executions are a presumed prerogative of US
leaders who see themselves above international law and due legal
process because of their self-declared 

“American exceptionalism”.
That goes hand-in-hand with waging foreign wars of aggression by the
self-appointed “global policeman”.

Virtually every
American president going back decades has blood on his hands from the
assassination of foreign nationals deemed to be “enemies” of US
imperial interests.

Trump’s bragging
about murder just reflects the open descent of American power into
the gutter of gangsterism. There is no shame relishing in the power
to murder. There is only arrogance and presumption of impunity.

That impunity is
afforded by the spinelessness of Western leaders and corporate news
media whose function is increasingly seen to be a propaganda laundry
service for American war crimes and state terrorism.

They jump to
sanctimonious condemnation of Russia over dubious accusations of
assassination involving apparently inefficient nerve poison, and
without any evidence whatsoever.

But an American
president wallows in murderous schemes like a Mafia boss, and Western
governments and media say nothing. That silence amounts to
complicity.

The glaring
juxtaposition of Navalny and Assad, among other cases, shows that
irony, as well as truth, morality and international law have all been
murdered by Washington and its Western vassals.

world is on the cusp of something horrific while the western sheeple
are still fast asleep directing their anger against refugees and
immigrants. Lukashenko yesterday said that Belarus has had to close
down its western borders and made a direct appeal to the citizens of
Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine to “stop your mad politicians
before they start a war” not that its going to do any good of
course as they are all delusional and brainwashed into accepting
without a question the myth of western “supremacy” and
hatred of Russia.  

The west has gone beyond all bounds of decency
and common sense in attempting to foment a colour revolution in
Belarus which is probably the closest strategic ally the Russian
federation has and is also a member of the CSTO and they are playing
with fire. President Putin has made it crystal clear that Russia will
intervene if the situation which is being driven and coordinated from
the three aforementioned countries gets out of control.  The west
is anti – peace and are only out for war, so far they have destroyed
numerous so called “third world” countries who have been
ubable to defend themselves but it now looks like their hubris and
delusional mania are driving them to turn their sights on countries
like Russia and China who can and will defend themselves. The way
things are going it wouldnt at all surprise me if world war breaks
out in the coming year.

Cunningham heeft een artikel geschreven over de westerse hysterie
rond Hongkong en de Chinese (‘communistische’) laars die de
vrijheid en democratie in die semi-autonome stad zou vermorzelen……

De boel
werd nog verder opgejut in het westen na de arrestatie van Jimmy Lai
eerder deze week, Lai is een media eigenaar, dus de reguliere
westerse media schreeuwden moord en brand over de aantasting van de
vrijheid van meningsuiting……….. Waarbij men de nieuwe Chinese
veiligheidswet hekelt die het mogelijk maakt om met gewelddadige protesten
hard aan te pakken en organisatoren op te pakken en in China (bedoeld
wordt buiten Hongkong) te berechten……

Lai is overigens al weer vrijgelaten, wat men in de VS en Groot-Brittannië uiteraard betreurt, immers nu kan men niet meer kankeren over het gebrek aan vrijheid van meningsuiting in Hongkong…….. Vergeet daarnaast niet dat Lai heeft deelgenomen aan een aantal van de uiterst gewelddadige protesten en het geweld in zijn kranten verdoezelde, of zelfs heeft gelogen dat extreem geweld niet door demonstranten werd gebruikt, maar werd uitgeoefend door de politie van Hongkong…..

Al een
paar jaar waren er met grote regelmaat protesten in Hongkong tegen de
Chinese overheid in Peking (of Bejing, wat je wilt), protesten die
vooral de laatste anderhalf jaar steeds gewelddadiger werden en
waarbij tegenstanders van die protesten o.a. in brand werden
gestoken, dan wel op andere manier zo mishandeld dat ze ofwel
overleden dan wel zwaar gewond in het ziekenhuis belandden……. Dit nog buiten
de enorme vernielingen die werden aangericht, niet alleen in en tegen
overheidsgebouwen, maar zelfs in winkels van mensen die tegen de
protesten waren…… Voor deze zaken is geen ander woord te bedenken dan (heftige) terreur, zaken die men verzweeg in de westerse media en politiek…..

Het is
duidelijk dat de VS zoals op zoveel andere plekken over de wereld
deze ‘pro democratische protesten’ organiseerde en financierde, uiteraard
met hulp van Groot-Brittannië, de voormalige kolonisator die deze
‘kolonie’ allesbehalve democratisch bestuurde (waar hetzelfde GB nu
plotsklaps de grote verdediger is van de democratie in
Hongkong…..)

Ciunningham merkt volkomen terecht op, dat wanneer dergelijke zwaar gewelddadige
protesten (zoals gezegd: gecombineerd met heftige terreur) zouden plaatsvinden in de VS of GB, men de leiders van deze protesten
al lang en breed achter de tralies had gezet………

Begreep
al lang niet waarom men blindelings de leugens geloofde van de
westerse media, terwijl toch ook hier de berichten op de sociale media doorsijpelden dat
de demonstranten in Hongkong bijzonder gewelddadig waren….. Je behoefde bepaald
geen Einstein te zijn om te voorspellen dat China uiteindelijk zou
ingrijpen, juist vanwege dat geweld!! (nogmaals: geweld voor een
groot deel tegen medeburgers die het niet met de demonstranten eens
waren*) 

Dat ingrijpen door de Chinese overheid was dan ook precies de bedoeling van de CIA en MI6 die de protesten in Hongkong hebben opgejut, immers China moet en zal de nieuwe grote vijand zijn van het westen en met het ingrijpen van de Chinese overheid in Hongkong kon men China nog meer demoniseren en haat zaaien tegen dat land…… 

Met het voorgaande kon men meteen de economie van China treffen door diverse zaken uit China botweg te verbieden en dat gebaseerd op leugens, neem het G5 netwerk van Huawei…… De reguliere westerse (massa-) media deden en doen maar al te graag braaf mee aan dit spel en hielden de ‘demonstranten’ in Hongkong de handen boven de uiterst gewelddadige kop, door zo min mogelijk of helemaal niets te melden van wat er echt gebeurde tijdens de protesten, het ongebreidelde geweld van demonstranten ook tegen medeburgers…..

Lees het

Kong: ‘Freedom’… to Subvert

– The arrest of Hong Kong media mogul Jimmy Lai has sent Western news
outlets into a tizzy. We are told that “free speech” is under
attack by the Chinese authorities who are supposedly rolling back
democracy on the semiautonomous island city.

Lai was arrested in
the offices of his media company and led away in handcuffs by
police officers. He is charged with “colluding with foreign
powers” in undermining Beijing’s sovereign authority.
Western media are claiming that his arrest is an example of the
alleged abuse of a new security law imposed on Hong Kong by the
Beijing central government. That law proscribes activities deemed to
be seditious or subversive.

For well over a year
now, Hong Kong has been in upheaval from protests against the central
government in Beijing. Those protests have involved massive violence
and destruction of public property, including the torching to
death of innocent bystanders.

Law and order in Hong
Kong is the sovereign responsibility of Beijing ever since Britain
handed back its former colony to China in 1997.

The street protests
under the guise of “pro-democracy” movement are but a
Trojan Horse for Britain and the United States to interfere in
China’s internal affairs and destabilize Beijing’s sovereignty.

Washington and London
have stepped up sanctions and reprimands against the Chinese
government in line with boosting the protests. The leaders of the
Hong Kong demonstrations have been hosted by American and British
officials. Some of them even live in exile in London. There can be no
clearer evidence that the United States and Britain are exploiting
Hong Kong as an entry point for weakening China, just as they
did in past centuries as imperial powers during the Opium Wars.

The geopolitical
tensions with China have become ever-sharper over the self-inflicted
disastrous mismanagement of the coronavirus pandemic in the US and
Britain. Those two countries are the world “leaders” in
terms of death toll from the disease. But there is also the bigger
background picture of Washington becoming increasingly hostile
towards Beijing (and Moscow) owing to what it calls “great
power competition”. In this context, Britain is serving as
Washington’s snarly lapdog for snapping at the heels of China (and
Russia).

So, how about Jimmy
Lai? The 71-year-old media magnate was born on the Chinese mainland.
His once wealthy family is reputed to
have lost their privileges when communist rule was established in
1949. Lai sounds like a perfect cipher for Western ambitions of
regime change in Beijing.

Western media, not
surprisingly, have lionized him
as a “leading pro-democracy advocate”. 

One of his
newspapers, Apple Daily, is described by
Associated Press as a “feisty pro-democracy tabloid that often
condemns China’s Communist Party government.”

That’s quite
astounding understatement. Lai has personally taken part in unlawful
demonstrations and his media outlets have acted brazenly as agents of
provocation, or sedition.

Earlier this year,
Apple Daily ran a front page appeal by its owner to US President
Donald Trump, beseeching the
American leader to intervene in Hong Kong to “save us” from
the Chinese government.

Last year just as
protests were erupting in Hong Kong, Lai was feted in
Washington by Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike
Pompeo. The agenda of their discussions included China’s security
affairs.

Now let’s
run this scenario again with a slight change of actors and location.
Imagine if a media mogul in Seattle was publishing newspaper
headlines every day condemning the federal government in Washington
and openly calling for repudiation of US sovereignty. Imagine if this
American media mogul flew to Beijing and was photographed holding
private discussions with top government officials about law and order
affairs.

There is more than a
fair chance, to say the least, that said media mogul would be
arrested by US federal officers and pilloried for being a traitor.

The double standards
and arrogance of the US and British media are staggering in
their coverage and commentary regarding Hong Kong. Hong Kong was
ruled from London as a colony for nearly 150 years without even a
token of democracy. Yet all of a sudden, we are led to believe,
Britain has discovered concern for “democracy” in Hong
Kong, while the Americans apparently cherish “freedom” in
the Chinese territory – freedom, that is, to subvert the
government in Beijing.

Trumps kruistocht tegen Huawei waar GB in de G5 val van de VS is getrapt

Trump liet vorige week triomfantelijk weten dat hij ervoor heeft gezorgd dat het Chinese bedrijf Huawei het uitrollen van een G5 netwerk in een aantal landen kan vergeten, landen met daaronder Groot-Brittannië waar de misdadige regering Johnson e.e.a. een dag eerder liet weten……. 

Uiteraard wordt nu ook de situatie in Hongkong gebruikt om Huawei zwart te maken. Eerder stelde men dat Huawei een werktuig zou zijn in handen van de Chinese overheid, terwijl echte deskundigen meermaals hebben laten weten dat de regering van China en Huawei zelf, niet kunnen spioneren via dit netwerk, zelfs als men dat zouden willen……  Uiteraard kan je via elk netwerk spioneren, echter zo’n netwerk is alleen de weg naar de server, computer (in de breedste zin) of smartphone die men wil hacken, maar hacken met een netwerk is schier onmogelijk….. 

Blijkbaar is het voorgaande langzaam doorgedrongen bij regeringen die continu bezig zijn met het demoniseren van China en Rusland, alsof zij en niet de westerse landen zelf de ene na de andere illegale oorlog van de VS steunen, oorlogen waarin alleen deze eeuw al ruim meer dan 2,5 mensen zijn vermoord…….

Juist daarom is Hongkong ineens de grote boosdoener, terwijl de uiterst gewelddadige demonstraties daar zijn opgezet door de CIA, juist met de bedoeling dat China zou ingrijpen en ja dat is gelukt….. Welk land zou het pikken als demonstranten andere burgers aanvallen, het ziekenhuis inslaan en zelfs in brand steken of dat laatste hebben geprobeerd…… Nee, de reactie van China, en dat met wetgeving, is de reden voor het afzeggen van contracten voor het G5 netwerk in meerdere landen….

In Wall Street is men intussen doende om grootaandeelhouders van techbedrijven als Huawei warm te maken voor de leverantie van dit G5 netwerk maar dan van bedrijven uit de VS, niet dat daar al een bruikbaar netwerk voorhanden is, maar er wordt met stoom en kokend water aan gewerkt….. Overigens zullen ook de klanten niet blij zijn met de keus voor een andere leverancier van het G5 netwerk, daar al duidelijk is dat de prijs heel veel hoger ligt en zal liggen bij andere leveranciers dan Huawei…… (dat daarnaast het beste bedrijf is op dat gebied)

Uiteraard is dit ook nog eens een gevaarlijke situatie, men maakt zich al bezorgd over negatieve effecten op de volksgezondheid door dit G5 netwerk, laat staan als men in een razend tempo dergelijke techniek op de markt probeert te brengen……

We leerden vroeger op school dat handelsoorlogen uitermate slecht zijn voor de maatschappij en dat deze niet zelden de opmaat waren naar een gloeiendhete oorlog…… Hoe is het dan in godsnaam mogelijk dat men nu weer openlijk durft te stellen dat men geen producten uit China moet kopen….. 

Verder heeft de Trump administratie meermaals laten weten dat haar burgers producten uit de VS moeten kopen, waarbij men ook de EU heeft gedemoniseerd en handelsbelemmeringen heeft opgelegd, echter deze oproep is weinig effectief daar de consument in de VS, als die overal elders, toch naar de prijs kijkt voor deze iets aanschaft…… Importverhogingen helpen daar amper of niet tegen, daar veel grote bedrijven in de VS afhankelijk zijn van de halffabricaten productie in China en daarmee ook de prijzen moet verhogen die men in de VS voor de eigen producten berekent.

Het pleidooi van de Trump administratie, inclusief de leugen dat men via het G5 netwerk kan spioneren, heeft één voordeel voor China: de VS en een deel van de andere westerse landen zullen achter gaan lopen op nieuwe technologie en innovaties (en dat nog sterker als men op deze doodlopende weg doorgaat….)…. Echter e.e.a. kan wel tot gevolg hebben dat de VS een koude dan wel warme oorlog zal proberen uit te lokken met China……..*

– In a dramatic U-turn, the British government is scrapping Chinese
telecom giant Huawei’s involvement in modernizing its internet
infrastructure. And the Trump White House is crowing with glee.

US Secretary of State
Mike Pompeo hailed London’s decision as “protecting free-world
values”. What values might they be? Bullying, intimidation,
subservience, empire-building?

The Trump
administration has been piling pressure on the British to back away
from earlier plans to partner with Huawei for developing its 5G
wireless network. American sanctions and a media campaign vilifying
Chinese technology as a national security threat seems to have won
the day.

Boris Johnson’s
government overturned
its previous decision in January to partner with Huawei. British
telecom operators have now been ordered to stop using Huawei’s
technology and to rip out existing 5G equipment over a seven-year
period.

The British government
admits that this reversal will result in delays for modernizing the
country’s telecoms services – seen as vital for economic
development – and will add huge costs of up to £2 billion ($2.5
bn) for eventual replacement. Something which taxpayers and consumers
will no doubt have to pay for.

So much for the
much-vaunted Anglo-American “special relationship”. It’s
special alright. Uncle Sam calls the shots – and Britain shoots
itself in the foot.

It should be obvious
that the whole debacle has nothing to do with alleged “national
security concerns” and everything to do with Washington
strong-arming for commercial and strategic advantage.

Huawei, the world’s
largest telecoms equipment maker, is supplanting American technology
across the world. And Washington is endeavouring to blacklist the
company in order to give its own firms a competitive advantage. The
Trump administration has accused Huawei – without evidence – of
offering a backdoor to the “Chinese Communist Party” for global
surveillance.

It takes a lot of
brass neck for the Americans to punt that particular line given the
actual global spying that its tech giants have enabled the US-based
National Security Agency (NSA) to conduct, as revealed by whistleblower
Edward Snowden.

The battle over
technology and commerce is only part of the bigger strategic struggle
which Washington views as vital to sustaining its presumed global
power. American capitalism and power view the world as a zero-sum
contest. All perceived competitors must be vanquished or controlled
so that American power can prevail as an all-dominant entity.

To that end,
Washington must necessarily portray the world in polarizing Cold War
terms of “us against them”, or of so-called “allies against
enemies”.

As Chinese and Russian
diplomats have repeatedly pointed out, Washington seems incapable of
shedding its Cold War ideology of “containment” and “great
power rivalry”. For American capitalism, the idea of mutual
partnership and cooperation is simply and utterly anathema.

The fight with China
over the telecoms industry is just one front among many others in
America’s wider strategic conflict against Beijing.

Washington needs to
kill the competition with draconian interventions, either with
propaganda, sanctions or arm-twisting. Because the bigger picture is
about subjugating others to accept Washington’s political, economic
and military diktat.

China and Russia are
not amenable about that designated subordinate role desired by
Washington. Hence the Cold War revival and indeed intensification.
Ultimately, war is the potential endpoint.

In classic zero-sum
mode, Washington is demanding that its ostensible allies in Europe
must shun Chinese telecoms and Chinese commerce in general. The same
applies to trade with Russia as exemplified by America’s bullying
over the Nord
Stream 2 gas pipeline (NS2).

It is no coincidence
that as Britain was set to announce its “decision” (that is,
Washington’s decision) on Huawei, Trump’s national security
adviser Robert O’Brien was lobbying other European governments to
likewise ditch plans to partner with the Chinese firm for 5G
development.

Germany, France, Spain
and Sweden, among other EU members, appear to be moving ahead with
their Huawei partnership plans. They have so far rebuffed
Washington’s alleged fears over national security.

Not so Britain and
other members of the US-led Five Eyes nations: Australia, New Zealand
and Canada. They, not surprisingly, appear to have swallowed the
“national security” propaganda and anti-China bigotry with gusto.

Indeed so subservient
is Britain to Washington, the government in London seems willing to
damage its own economy and the wellbeing of its own people in order
to suck up a little favour from Uncle Sam.

The “free world”?
Yeah, freedom to be a vassal.

Trump en Fox zijn uit op een militaire coup

Fox
heeft met fake news (nepnieuws) over bijvoorbeeld de protesten in
Seattle, de weg vrijgemaakt voor Trump om te dreigen militairen in te
zetten om de stad terug te nemen van ‘anarchistisch tuig’ onder de
noemer Antifa….. Dreigen met militairen inzet op de burgerbevolking in de VS is daar als vloeken in de kerk. Terwijl de protesten volledig te begrijpen waren en
alles behalve gewelddadig waren…. Wat betreft Antifa is er geen
bewijs dat zij de demonstraties en rellen organiseerden (en organiseren), of zelfs een
hoofdrol speelden en spelen zoals men telkens weer durft te stellen in de media, Antifa is dan ook geen centraal
geleide organisatie….. Fox News heeft moedwillig beelden van eerdere
protesten gebruikt om de situatie in Seattle als uiterst gewelddadig voor te
stellen…..

Een deel
van Seattle werd door burgers tot politievrij gebied verklaard,
volgens Cunningham, de schrijver van het artikel hieronder, is dit
een logische stap, daar de politie in de VS gemiddeld 1.000 mensen per jaar
doodt, ofwel vermoordt en men het eindelijk spuugzat is dat de
politie zich gedraagt als een terreurorganisatie (mijn woorden, maar
daar komt het wel op neer). De politie van Seattle heeft een
deëscalerend
beleid gevoerd wat betreft de protesten en dat met succes….. Intussen hebben de inwoners van dat politievrije gebied getoond dat ze het prima afkunnen zonder de politie. (bijzonder hoopgevend!)

Fox heeft
intussen excuses aangeboden voor het brengen van fake news en begeleidende fake beelden, beelden van eerdere rellen, echter
zonder dat dit tot enige reactie bij Trump leidde, die gewoon blijft volhouden dat
Seattle in handen is gevallen van ‘anarchistisch tuig…….’

Cunningham
concludeert wellicht terecht dat Trump en Fox uitzijn op een militaire coup, dit vanwege de uitspraak van Trump dat de
burgemeester Seattle de stad moet terugnemen van ‘domestic terrorists’, ofwel van plaatselijke terroristen en als deze dit niet doet, hij de stad zal terugnemen
(met militairen)…….. Vergeet niet dat Trump ook al een enorm grote bek had over protesten in andere steden van de VS (vooral als zij door Democraten worden bestuurd)…..

Trump stelde eerder een staatsgreep van deep state tegen hem te verwachten, daarbij kwam hij weer met de riedel van fake news gebracht door de massamedia, fake news waarmee hij zou zijn gedemoniseerd*, echter ook nu weer blijken vooral Trump en ‘zijn mediaorgaan’ Fox fake news te brengen, met het doel militairen op de straten van de VS in te zetten…… (wat voor veel VS burgers al gelijkstaat aan een coup…..)

Trump & Fox… Peddling Fake News for Military Coup - Islam Times

–  President Trump’s favorite news channel Fox has been caught
out falsifying
protests in Seattle, giving the distorted impression that the city is
overrun by armed anarchists. That conveniently set Trump off on a
rant in which he threatened to send in military forces to “take
back” the city from “domestic terrorists”.

Trump and hawkish
Republican figures have repeatedly
toyed with the idea of “sending the troops in” to quell
demonstrations that have engulfed the U.S. over the past month since
the horrific killing by police officers of black man George Floyd in
Minneapolis on May 25.

That has, in turn, led
to an outcry that the president is attempting to violate
the country’s laws by threatening to deploy federal troops to do
policing work which would normally fall under the authority of the
individual states. Trump is also accused
of inciting violence by fomenting fears over national security, fears
which are exaggerated given the generally peaceful nature of protests
against police violence and racism.

In a remarkable sign
of the constitutionally explosive situation, the Pentagon’s top
military commander General Mark Milley recently expressed regret
about Trump’s politicization of the nation’s armed forces. Other
former military leaders have weighed
in similarly. The tensions reflect tacit concerns that Trump is
assuming dictatorial powers. Democrat presidential rival Joe Biden
got in on the act by making an extraordinary statement
in which he said that he was confident the Pentagon would intervene
to evict Trump from the White House, if the incumbent tried to defy
the electorate in November. Even the public contemplation of such a
scenario seems a bizarre acknowledgement of how far things have gone
awry in U.S. politics.

That’s why Fox News’
fakery over the Seattle protests takes on an even more sinister
aspect. Last week, the Murdoch-owned, pro-Trump channel published
photoshopped images of armed protesters purportedly taking over
Seattle. It also attributed scenes of burning buildings from previous
unrest as if they were unfolding at the same time as the alleged
armed insurrectionists.

Seattle, the most
populous city in Washington state on the U.S.’ west coast, has seen
a significant popular demonstration against police violence, whereby
a downtown area has been declared a “cop-free zone”. The city’s
police decided to deescalate confrontation that erupted after the
killing of Floyd, by unilaterally withdrawing from the precinct.
Citizens have formed a “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ).
They are calling for “defunding” of the police budget and more
spending on social services. The same demand has been made elsewhere
by other cities and states.

What the Seattle
protest has dramatically shown is that heavy police power is not
required for law and order to prevail. Most reports
have characterized the Seattle civilian occupation as largely
peaceful, multiracial and a manifestation of people power. Where it
will lead to and what it will achieve in terms of policing in the
future is anybody’s guess right now.

But already the
Seattle citizens have won the argument that U.S. policing is out of
control in terms of its militarized operation and use of excessive
lethal force, especially against African-Americans and other
minorities. Some 1,000 people are shot dead every year in the U.S. by
police officers.

The counter-narrative
put out by Trump and his ilk is that “defunding” means scrapping
police forces altogether and leaving the country at the mercy of
criminals and anarchists. 

This fear-mongering paints an apocalyptic
meltdown of American society. It is a favorite trope of elites and
fascists whose depiction of society is one teetering on barbarian
masses running amok, rather than trusting in the democratic
cooperation between people to better organize society.

Fox News was forced
into making an apology and retraction for its deliberate
falsification over events in Seattle after local paper, The Seattle
Times, investigated
the images. 

However, that admission did not stop Trump from telling
his millions of followers on Twitter that Seattle was being ransacked
by “domestic terrorists”.

Addressing the city
mayor and state governor, Trump fumed: “Take back your city NOW. If
you don’t do it, I will. These ugly Anarchists must be stopped
IMMEDIATELY.”

He may not have
specified military force, but the implication is unavoidable. After
all, Trump has previously threatened to send in combat troops to end
other protests which he has also claimed have been orchestrated by
“Antifa” (a loose network of anti-fascist activists).

Seattle mayor Jenny
Durkan hit
back, advising Trump to “go back to your bunker”. She added:
“It’s not terrorism. It’s patriotism. We do not need anyone,
including the president, to try to sow further divide, further
mistrust and misinformation.”

Federal security
organizations have found
there is negligible involvement of “Antifa” in nationwide
protests. The peaceful takeover of Seattle’s Capitol Hill is also
not connected to such groups. There have been reports of an armed man
appearing to be a protester in the city. Be that as it may, it is
nowhere near reflecting the scenario painted by Fox and its most
prominent subscriber of an armed insurrection and mob rule.

Irony abounds. Trump
has made “fake news” a signature soundbite as if he is the sole
victim of it. He also has claimed that his presidency is in danger of
falling to a coup plotted by the deep state. But the Seattle episode
shows there is no bigger peddler of fake news than Trump and his Fox
friends. And if they could get away with it, this White House would
be ordering federal troops to round up civilians exercising their
democratic right to protest against police violence. Trump is the one
sailing close to a fascist coup.

Ongelofelijk
hoe de VS denkt alles en iedereen te kunnen manipuleren en dan op de
kop staat als andere landen zich niet houden aan haar
hersenspinsels……. Afgelopen week ‘lanceerde Iran een satelliet’
naar 465 kilometer hoogte en zoals te verwachten de VS stond op de
kop, immers de VS heeft zich de ruimte toegeëigend met haar Space
Force (USSF), overigens een actie van de psychopathische Trump administratie, die recht ingaat tegen daarover gesloten verdragen……

Oorlogsmisdadiger
en topploert Pompeo, minister van buitenlandse zaken voor de VS, had
het gore lof volledig uit z’n psychopathische kop te gaan over de
lancering van die Iraanse satelliet. De schoft stelt plompverloren
dat Iran zich met die lancering niet houdt aan de Iraanse nucleaire
deal, ofwel de P5+1 nuceaire deal……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Pompeo had zelfs de
moeite genomen om het artikel in dat verdrag te zoeken waarin stond
dat Iran dit soort acties niet mocht ondernomen….. 

Pompeo was ‘even vergeten’ dat Trump de
Iran-nucleaire deal heeft verscheurt, de VS heeft teruggetrokken uit die deal en Iran illegaal zware sancties heeft opgelegd……. Door die sancties is het land extra hard getroffen door het Coronavirus, nadat er vóór de Coronacrisis al veel ouderen, chronisch zieken en kinderen zijn overleden door tekorten aan medicijnen en medische apparatuur, juist vanwege de illegale VS sancties, ondanks dat heeft Iran veel meer succes met het bestrijden van het virus dan de VS, waar men nog steeds achter de feiten aanloopt… (zo meer daarover)

Iran is volgens Pompeo en de rest van de Trump administratie een groot verspreider van terreur, ook al een meer dan belachelijke beschuldiging, daar de VS verreweg de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde is, een land dat alleen deze eeuw al ruim meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord: -in illegale oorlogen, -in geheime militaire missies o.l.v. de CIA, -middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen, -door opstanden georganiseerd door de CIA en tot slot -in staatsgrepen uitgevoerd in landen die de VS niet welgevallig zijn…… Aan dat soort grootschalige en barbaarse terreur kan Iran bij wijze van spreken nog niet in duizend jaar tippen…….

Dat was
het nog niet beste bezoeker: Pompeo beschuldigt Iran er ook nog eens
van het Coronavirus niet serieus te nemen en in te zetten op de
lancering van een satelliet…… De enorme schoft vergat voor het
gemak te melden, dat door de sancties van de VS er in Iran een groot
tekort is ontstaan aan medische middelen, medicijnen en medische apparatuur en er zoals gezegd al voor de Coronacrisis een groot aantal doden was te betreuren in Iran (in feite alweer een massamoord op het conto van de VS….)…. 

Nogmaals: als er één land is dat wat betreft het Coronavirus volkomen achter de
feiten aanloopt (waar Nederland heel dicht in de buurt komt) is het
de VS wel, meer dan 50.000 Crononadoden, honderden miljarden dollars voor: -het bedrijfsleven, -de
aandeelhouders en -de welgestelden, terwijl massa’s mensen werkloos zijn geworden, niet
verzekerd zijn en geen geld hebben om bijvoorbeeld een chemokuur te
betalen, waardoor in ‘het land van de ongekende mogelijkheden’ mensen
overlijden daar ze simpelweg te arm zijn om medicatie en therapie te betalen……

–No
wonder the US reacted with fury this week when Iran launched a
satellite 465 kilometers into space. In baseball terms, the Iranians
just hit the US ball out of the park.

Mike Pompeo, America’s
top diplomat, is demanding more sanctions against Iran over what
he claimed was a violation of UN resolutions outlawing Iranian
military missiles in space. He called on the “Iranian regime”
to prioritise resources in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and to
end its campaign of global terror”.

You have to hand it to
Pompeo for his total lack of awareness of America’s own absurdity. 

Pompeo cited UN
Resolution 2231 which pertains to the 2015 international nuclear
accord with Iran – the same accord that the Trump administration
dumped in May 2018. So, Washington wants Iran to abide by resolutions
relating to a treaty that is non-existent, as far as the US is
concerned.

In any case, Iran says
that its communication satellite does not violate UN resolutions
because it is not for an offensive military purpose. Russia
has reportedly backed the Iranian viewpoint.

Pompeo points to the
involvement of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the
launch as somehow indicative of malign intent ignoring the fact that
military and space technology are historically deeply entwined. None
more so than in the US space ventures, which originated from Nazi V2
rocket science.

The US lecturing to
Iran about a military satellite comes only weeks after President
Trump has ordered the establishment of a new Space Force which opens
up weaponization of space – in contravention of an
international treaty forbidding such development.

Pompeo’s call on Iran
to “prioritise resources” to meet the “demands of the
Iranian people” (an oblique reference to the COVID-19 crisis) is
made while the US leads the world in the number of infections and
deaths from the disease. 

The abject fiasco of
Washington not being able to better contain the pandemic is a result
of chronically underfunded health services in the US. This is while
the US sends warships to the Persian Gulf – 10,000 kilometers from
its shores – to carry out naval maneuvers threatening Iranian
security and the security of the wider region. Just
who is waging a global terror campaign?

Pompeo’s piffle about
“prioritising resources” comes from a regime in Washington
that spends more than $750 billion on the military every year. That’s
nearly 57 times the estimated
$13 billion that Iran spends. And, by the way, five times more
than China, and more than 10 times Russia’s military budget.

American citizens’
demand for better healthcare could be easily met if its monstrously
profligate military
expenditure was redirected. The failure of the US public health
system is made all the more apparent by the current COVID-19 crisis.

The US pandemic
death toll is this week heading above 50,000 compared with Iran’s
figure of 5,300. Considering the respective population numbers of 330
and 80 million that suggests Iran is doing a much better job at
containing the virus. On a per-capita basis, according to publicly
available data, Iran’s mortality rate is less than half that of the
US. 

This is while the US
has sanctioned Iran to the hilt. American sanctions – arguably
illegal under international law – have hit Iran’s ability to import
medical supplies to cope with COVID-19 and other fatal diseases, yet
Iran through its own resources is evidently managing the crisis much
better than the US. 

To top it all, Iran
this week was able to launch its first satellite into space. The
Iranians deserve applause for their technological achievement-based
entirely on their own resources and ingenuity of their scientists. 

What’s really
motivating Washington’s ire is that its criminal and barbaric
sanctions policy is shown – spectacularly – to be an abysmal
flop. Even with so many resources at its disposal, the US has failed
to thwart the Iranian nation.

This is why Pompeo is
blustering now about appealing to other nations to impose more
international sanctions. The US sanctions alone and its campaign of
bullying and terrorism have failed, and it is desperately trying to
dragoon others to join its heartless policy – under the guise of UN
resolutions. 

It would also explain
Trump’s crazed order this week to the US
navy to “shoot down” Iranian vessels in the Persian Gulf. 

Washington’s
presumed global empire is all washed up. Its disgraceful dereliction
towards American public health is abundantly clear. Its bullying of
China, Russia, Venezuela, and others is futile. Its navy is impotent
from COVID-19 sick sailors aboard billion-dollar warships. And Iran,
hammered by US sanctions, is able to make a landmark satellite
achievement while beating the US in terms of managing a pandemic. No
wonder the Americans are livid.

Beetje bvreemde kop beste bezoeker, immers illegale sancties zijn altijd sadistisch en barbaars zoals je zo zal lezen…..

Waar men
in de wereld poogt saamhorigheid te kweken om zo het Coronavirus te
kunnen bestrijden, blijft de VS landen als Iran, Venezuela en Cuba (plus
nog 27 andere landen) illegaal sanctioneren, zodat men daar grote
problemen heeft om het Coronavirus te bestrijden…… Zo overlijden er onnodig veel
mensen als gevolg van een tekort aan medicatie en medische apparatuur aan het Coronavirus, dan wel zullen overlijden aan wat men
COVID-19 is gaan noemen……

de VS is
zo onbeschoft dat het een luchtbrug heeft geopend met China en daar
grote hoeveelheden (grondstoffen voor ) medicijnen weghaalt en toch
handhaaft deze terreurentiteit de sancties tegen China…… ‘Leuk
ook dat dit in de reguliere westerse media wordt gemeld…..’ (niet
dus!)

De
fascistische psychopaat Trump durft openlijk te zeggen dat de
sancties niet opgaan voor zaken die de volksgezondheid in zo’n land
zullen schaden, terwijl ze dat wel degelijk doen! Sterker nog: er zijn in Venezuela al meer dan 40.000 mensen overleden door
VS sancties en ik vrees dat ook in Iran de cijfers niet veel lager
zullen zijn…. Let wel: ik spreek over doden die vóór de
Coronacrisis zijn gevallen, ofwel het aantal doden zal door deze
crisis nog veel verder stijgen…..

De G20 durfde te stellen dat het van het grootste belang is dat we onderling solidair moeten zijn en dat internationale samenwerking van het grootste belang is, terwijl de VS zelfs de sancties tegen de armste landen niet wil opheffen…….. Waar deze illegale sancties zoals gezegd in Venezuela al voor de Coronacrisis 40.000 slachtoffers het leven hebben gekost…… Illegale sancties opgelegd door de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde: de VS!! Ofwel die 40.000 doden bohoren tot de zoveelste massamoord die de VS deze eeuw heeft gepleegd, waar de teller door illegaal VS optreden nu op ruim meer dan 2,5 miljoen dodelijke slachtoffers staat….. Waar Nederland middels militairen en ons belastinggeld ook een grafsteen of 100 (naar schatting) aan heeft bijgedragen…….. (en dat in landen waar het westen niets te zoeken heeft!!!)

Dozens of U.S. government-chartered flights have begun to airlift
vital medical equipment and supplies from China to the U.S. as the
latter becomes the world’s biggest case load of infections from the
novel coronavirus. There are grim forecasts for the number of deaths
in the U.S. as the pandemic is weeks from peaking there.

China is cooperating
with the U.S. in organizing the massive medical transfer, naturally
of course, given the humanitarian crisis. You would think therefore
that a little reciprocation would be in order from Washington. After
all, China is one of those foreign countries that the U.S. has
imposed sanctions on over alleged human rights violations. Would it
not behove the U.S. to show a bit of solidarity and gratitude by
dropping its sanctions regime against China?

And not just China.
There are are some 30 countries and territories that currently sit on
a U.S. sanctions
list, mostly due to Washington’s accusations of human rights
violations. Some of the targeted nations have been under sanctions
for decades, such as Cuba, North Korea and Iran. Others have joined
the dubious club more recently, such as Russia, Yemen and Venezuela.

Surely at this
unprecedented time of a global pandemic threatening millions of human
beings regardless of nationality, it is time to show genuine
solidarity and compassion for others. The very idea of imposing
sanctions on other countries is not only anachronistic. It is utterly
barbaric.

In any case, U.S.
sanctions imposed unilaterally without the mandate of the UN Security
Council are arguably illegal. Even before the coronavirus outbreak
and its accompanying disease, Covid-19, the American deployment of
embargoes to disrupt commerce and trade of other countries could be
seen as reprehensible. Such measures are rightly judged to be
collective punishment of civilians which violates international law
and the UN Charter.

But now as countries
battle against an existential threat posed by the virus, the existing
U.S. sanctions can be seen as an abomination.

Iran is a particularly
poignant case. It has one of the highest infection rates in the world
with thousands of deaths in a matter of weeks. Yet the Trump
administration sees fit to not only maintain harsh sanctions on
Tehran, it has actually added
three more rounds of sanctions against Iran since the epidemic
occurred. The deaths in Iran are being multiplied by American policy.

The Trump
administration cynically claims that U.S. sanctions do not impede
humanitarian aid to Iran. The claim is beneath contempt. The
crippling sanctions imposed by Trump’s “maximum pressure”
policy virtually precludes Iran from making international financial
transactions, including for medicines. Moreover, the effect of
“secondary sanctions” means that many countries are intimidated
from doing business with Iran out of fear of U.S. reprisals.

Washington has blood
on its hands where any country is finding the fight against Covid-19
in any way more difficult. It already had blood on its hands from its
illegal sanctions. But what we have now is the grotesque picture of a
ghoulish, sadistic American government shamelessly showing its ugly
face at a time of global suffering.

At the G20 summit last
week – held by teleconference to avoid spreading coronavirus
infection – Russian President Vladimir Putin called
on the world to drop sanctions at this critical juncture. He said it
was imperative for all nations to have access to medicines and
equipment without financial restrictions. “It is a question of
whether people live or die,” he added.

Putin’s call for
discarding sanctions was backed by UN secretary-general Antonio
Guterres and other world leaders, including Chinese President Xi
Jinping.

In the end, however,
the G20 final joint statement
omitted any unanimous mention of sanctions. One suspects that the
U.S. – the world’s number-one serial abuser of sanctions –
pulled strings behind the scenes to pre-empt any move to banish such
measures of financial coercion. Not surprisingly, because financial
coercion (less politely, “terrorism”) is an instrumental weapon
for U.S. foreign policy, as much as its military intimidation of
other nations is.

Instead, what came out
of the G20 conference was a joint statement of vapid, disingenuous
rhetoric.

It opined: “Global
action, solidarity and international cooperation are more than ever
necessary to address this pandemic. We are confident that, working
closely together, we will overcome this. We will protect human life, restore
global economic stability, and lay out solid foundations for strong,
sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth.”

Just how does “global
solidarity” and “working closer together to protect human life”
translate into practical remedial action when Washington continues to
wield a veto over some of the poorest and weakest nations gaining
life-saving supplies?

If there were any
compassion or morality in Washington, it would immediately rescind
all its sanctions against other nations in recognition of common
humanity. But the hard-heartedness of Washington is unrelenting even
at a time of crisis and death. It is based on a self-righteousness
that is frightening in the scale of its hubris and hypocrisy.

A certain natural
“correction” is due for this endemic criminal mentality of
America’s ruling class. And one senses that the correction for its
systematic evildoing against fellow human beings is not going to pass
lightly.
