Ongelofelijk,
de macht die de rk kerk nog steeds heeft in grote delen van de
wereld, zoals in het Midden-Amerikaanse land El Salvador. Macht die
deze kerk misbruikt om vrouwen te verbieden een abortus te ondergaan,
zelfs als ze verkracht zijn of als ze gevaar lopen te overlijden tijdens de bevalling, ofwel de rk kerk heeft in het grootste deel van Latijns-Amerika macht over regeringsbeleid en daarmee over het justitiële apparaat in dat deel van de wereld……
Hetzelfde geldt overigens ook voor de VS, al heeft de rk kerk daar fikse concurrentie van de fundamentalistische protestantse groepen/sekten, voorts strekt de macht van de rk kerk zich uit over grote delen van Afrika, Europa en in Azië over een land als de Filipijnen… Het Care2 team spreekt in de hieronder opgenomen petitie dat El Salvador het meest strenge abortusbeleid van de wereld heeft, echter zaken als een abortus na een verkrachting is in heel veel meer landen verboden, niet alleen in landen die je rooms-katholiek kan noemen, maar ook in landen waar bijvoorbeeld de islam het voor het zeggen heeft…..
Abortus
is in alle gevallen verboden in El Salvador, dit door lobby van de rk kerk, zoals gezegd zelfs als het
leven van de moeder in gevaar is, of als ze is verkracht (en nog maar een kind is….)… De
zaak van Evelyn staat niet op zich, in El Salvador zitten 147 vrouwen in het gevang
en 19 vrouwen worden nu nog aangeklaagd (ze moeten dus nog veroordeeld worden….)…..
Evelyn
Hernandez werd als tiener door een bendelid verkracht, waardoor ze
ook nog eens zwanger raakte. Logisch dat Evelyn getraumatiseerd was na deze
vreselijke gebeurtenis, waaraan ze ook nog eens veel pijn overhield
en niet in de gaten had dat ze zwanger was…….
Ze
beviel in de badkamer van een dode baby en verloor het
bewustzijn….. Geen reden voor de autoriteiten om medeleven te tonen
met deze tiener en te zorgen dat haar psychische bijstand werd verleend, nee men zette haar gevangen vanwege een ‘illegale
abortus’, waarna ze door de rechter werd veroordeeld tot 30 jaar
gevangenisstraf….. (geweldig hè paus Franciscus???). Na 3 jaar
kwam ze vrij, echter de regering liet het er niet bij zitten en heeft
haar opnieuw aangeklaagd (en reken maar dat de regering van El Salvador vol zit met rk scherpslijpers…)…

Evelyn
Hernandez’s story should inspire compassion.
As a teenager living in El Salvador, she survived a terrifying
assault — a
gang member raped and impregnated her.
She suffered from intense pain and emotional distress, and as a
result, didn’t realize she was pregnant.
She
found out when her stomach began to ache badly. She went to the
bathroom, and ultimately gave birth into a toilet at her home. The
child was found dead and Evelyn passed out. Then, as if her
experiences weren’t tragic enough, the
government decided to turn her into a criminal.
In
El Salvador, abortion — and perceived abortion — is illegal under any
and all circumstances,
even in cases of rape and when the mother’s life is at risk. In fact, the
country is considered to have the world’s most punitive and draconian
anti-abortion laws.
Prosecutors are convinced that Evelyn induced an abortion, and as a
result, they’ve
charged her with homicide because of her stillborn child.
As
punishment for her sexual assault and her resulting stillborn baby,
Evelyn was sentenced to 30 years in prison. After having served three
of those years, she was thankfully acquitted in a retrial. But
the Salvadorian government just won’t stop. They’re actually trying
to throw her in prison again — for
a third time.
And Evelyn’s not the only one. 147 women in the country have been
sitting in prison facing up to 40 years for the same “crime.”
Another 19 women have been similarly charged.
El
Salvador’s laws don’t just criminalize abortion; they criminalize
both women’s health and the tragedies we’re unable to prevent.
A United Nations Committee has even condemned El Salvador’s harsh
anti-abortion laws as a violation of human rights, and they couldn’t
be more correct.

Salvador, Gaza, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Iraq are

as special envoy to Venezuela by
the Trump administration completely invalidates the US government’s
Venezuela narrative all by itself. Even without the blatant

the CIA

the mounting

US arms smuggling to right-wing militias, and America’s extensive
history of utterly disastrous regime change interventionism, the fact
that this administration would appoint such a ghoulish individual to

it was nice to see someone in that government calling him what he is
right to his face in front of everybody.
At
a House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) hearing on US Venezuela policy,
Abrams was
presented with
the only line of questioning that is appropriate for such a beast by
the very congresswoman the Democrats threw to the wolves just two
days ago. Someone had to do it, and they left it to Ilhan Omar.
“In
1991, you pleaded guilty to two counts of withholding information
from Congress regarding your involvement in the Iran-Contra affair,
for which you were later pardoned by President George H.W. Bush,”
Omar accurately stated. “I fail to understand why members of this
committee, or the American people should find any testimony that you
give today to be truthful.”
“If
I could respond to that-” Abrams began.
“That
wasn’t a question,” Omar responded, cutting him off.
“It
was an attack! It was an attack!” Abrams exclaimed, visibly upset.
“I
reserve the right to my time,” said Omar.
“It
is not right that members of this Committee can attack a witness who
is not permitted to reply,” Abrams said, talking over Omar.
“That
was not a question; thank you for your participation,” Omar
continued. “On February 8th, 1982, you testified before the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee about US foreign policy in El Salvador.
In that hearing, you dismissed as communist propaganda a report about
the massacre of El Mozote of which more than 800 civilians, including
children as young as two years old, were brutally murdered by
U.S.-trained troops. During that massacre, some of those troops
bragged about raping 12 year-old girls before they killed them. You
later said that the U.S. policy in El Salvador was a ‘fabulous
achievement.’ Yes or no, do you still think so?”
“From
the day that President Duarte was elected in a free election, to this
day, El Salvador has been a democracy,” Abrams said angrily.
“That’s a fabulous achievement.”
“Yes
or no, do you think that massacre was a fabulous achievement that
happened under our watch?” Omar asked.
“That
is a ridiculous question and I will not respond to it,” Abrams
replied. “I’m sorry Mr. Chairman, I am not going to respond to
that kind of personal attack which is not a question.”
“I
will take that as a yes,” Omar said. “Yes or no, would you
support an armed faction within Venezuela that engages in war crimes,
crimes against humanity, or genocide if you believe they were serving
US interests as you did in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua?”
“I’m
not going to respond to that question,” Abrams again answered. “I’m
sorry, I don’t think this entire line of questioning is meant to be
real questions, and so I will not reply.”
“Whether
under your watch a genocide will take place, and you will look the
other way because American interests were being upheld is a fair
question,” Omar said. “Because the American people want to know
that any time we engage a country that we think about what our
actions could be and how we believe our values are being furthered.
That is my question: Will you make sure that human rights are not
violated and that we uphold international and human rights?”
“I
suppose there is a question in there, and the answer is that the
entire thrust of American policy in Venezuela is to support the
Venezuelan people’s effort to restore democracy to their country,”
Abrams responded. “That’s our policy.”
“I
don’t think anybody disputes that,” Omar said. “The question I
had for you is that does the interests of the United States include
protecting human rights and include protecting people against
genocide?”
“That
is always the
position of the United States,” Abrams lied.
“Thank
you,” concluded Omar. “I yield back the rest of my time.”
There
is no legitimate reason for Elliott Abrams to ever find himself
before a group of people who are ostensibly concerned with
accountability and responsibility without being asked such questions.
But that didn’t stop all the world’s worst people from crawling
out of the woodwork to his defense.

and democracy. Yes, he made serious professional mistakes and was
held accountable. I’m a liberal but I’m also fair. We all have a
lot of work to do together in Venezuela. We share goals.”

editor and former George W Bush speech writer Jay Nordlinger. “But
really, someone ought to have given her a clue who Elliott Abrams is.
The guy has been championing freedom and human rights his entire life
(and taking unholy sh** for it from the illiberal Left and Right).”
Conservative
pundit Michael Knowles tossed his two cents into the campaign to
purge the concept of antisemitism of any meaning by tweeting,
“One wonders why @IlhanMN seems to harbor such particular contempt
for Elliott¹ Abrams² (¹ from the Hebrew ‘Elijah,’ meaning ‘My
God is Yahweh’ ² the father of the Jewish people).”
This
is the bipartisan establishment orthodoxy that is guiding your
foreign policy, America. One which claims Elliott Abrams is a saint,
which claims criticism of US warmongering is antisemitic, and which
throws a bold Somali-American woman under the bus for speaking the
truth after years of paying lip service to the need to get more women
of color elected to the leadership of the Democratic Party. This
whole Abrams incident happened, by the way, at the same time Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deleted
a tweet in
which he accidentally acknowledged the agenda to start a war with
Iran, but you probably won’t see Omar commenting on this because
she knows she’ll be smeared as an antisemite for it.
US
warmongering is the most aggressively protected part of the
establishment narrative matrix, because US warmongering is the glue
that holds the unipolar empire together. Without it, our rulers
cannot rule, so you’ll see imperial lackeys fiercely attacking
anyone who draws attention to America’s bloodbaths around the
world, even if they are good servants of the empire in other areas.
The
difficulty for our rulers, though, is that warmongering is a very
difficult thing to paint a pretty picture of, especially with our
newfound ability to quickly share ideas and information around the
globe. I mean, look at Elliott Abrams. Seriously, just watch
him talk.
That demonic grimace is the prettiest face they could find to put on
their Venezuela agenda. I find that very encouraging.
The
reason they work so hard to manufacture our consent for warmongering
agendas is because they need that
consent. They wouldn’t propagandize us so aggressively if they
didn’t need us all trusting them and believing their stories, so
the best way to fight establishment warmongering is to circulate
disbelief in their stories. Whenever you see someone like Ilhan Omar
drawing attention to the gaping plot holes in agendas like regime
change interventionism in Venezuela, go ahead and help draw attention
to it.
Things
are only shitty because a few extremely powerful people do very
shitty things. The only reason powerful people get away with doing
very shitty things is because the majority allows them to. The
majority only allows them to because they’ve been propagandized to.
The weakest link in this chain is the propaganda. Attack there.

nacht in het BBC World Service radionieuws van 1.00 u. (CET) aandacht voor Trump die sprak over de karavaan met intussen duizenden
mensen die vanuit Latijns-Amerika op weg zijn naar de VS. Volgens Trump
brengen deze mensen de staatsveiligheid van de VS in gevaar…… ha!
ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Vandaar
ook dat Trump nog eens 800 militairen extra naar die grens stuurt,
gezien zijn woorden is het niet ondenkbaar dat deze militairen straks
zullen schieten op arme, ongewapende mensen, ook al ontkent bijvoorbeeld CNN dat dit zal gebeuren…..
Intussen dreigt Trump landen als Honduras Guatemala en El Salvador met het inhouden van hulp, daar zij niets hebben ondernomen tegen deze onafzienbare karavaan met wanhopige mensen… Van Mexico eist Trump dat dit land de karavaan stopt, echter zelfs zijn eigen administratie ziet dondersgoed dat een dergelijke stroom mensen niet anders te stoppen is dan met grof geweld…..
De
mensen in die karavaan zijn op de vlucht voor de uitzichtloze armoede en voor geweld, beiden zaken waar de VS een wel heel dikke
vinger in de pap heeft, al was het alleen al vanwege de enorme
wapenexport van de VS naar Latijns-Amerikaanse landen, wapens die ook grootschalig worden gebruikt door de georganiseerde misdaad……
Hoe dik de VS vinger is, blijkt wel uit het volgende: de karavaan bestaat voor het grootste deel uit Hondurese burgers, daar voor de grote onderlaag van dat land de ellende totaal ondragelijk is geworden, dit is te danken aan de junta, die na een door de VS georganiseerde staatsgreep werd geparachuteerd door NB diezelfde VS……..
De VS oorlog tegen drugs treft vooral de gewone Latijns-Amerikaanse
bevolkingen en zoals al zo vaak aangetoond: de VS stimuleert in feite
alleen de productie van drugs in dat deel van de wereld, niet alleen
door die zinloze VS oorlog, maar ook door diensten als de DEA en CIA, die
profiteren van de drugssmokkel en de verkoop van die drugs in de VS…….. (o.a. om uiterst illegale acties te bekostigen) Voorts worden hele arealen aan landbouwgrond onbebouwbaar gemaakt in Latijns-Amerika, dit door het sproeien van gif, zodat daar geen zaken als coca of marihuana kunnen worden bebouwd, zoals je begrijpt wordt dit veelal door de VS gedaan……
Trump heeft beloofd deze karavaan te stoppen, letterlijk zei hij: “They will be stopped” en zoals eerder gezegd, te vrezen valt dat dit met grof geweld zal gebeuren, daar deze vluchtelingen niet van zins zijn zich te laten tegenhouden, niet door gebieden die gevaarlijk zijn door bendes, niet door rivieren en niet door Trump!
Het is
als met de illegale oorlogen van de VS in het Midden-Oosten: de bevolkingen van landen als Irak, Syrië en Afghanistan (waar de laatste eigenlijk buiten het Midden-Oosten ligt) worden getroffen en een groot deel van hen
probeert te vluchten naar de EU, dezelfde EU die de oorlogen van de
VS steunt, zowel politiek al militair….. Hoewel verantwoordelijk
voor de oorzaak van het vluchten door een enorm aantal mensen, weigeren de VS en de EU deze vluchtelingen op te
nemen…….. (en vergeet niet dat deze vluchtelingenstromen op gang kwamen met behulp van o.a. ons belastinggeld!)

Administration to Send at Least 800 Troops to the US-Mexico Border
President
Donald Trump has raised alarm about a caravan of migrants heading for
the border. He tweeted Thursday morning that he is “bringing out
the military for this National Emergency.”
(TT) — The
Trump administration is expected to send 800 or more troops to the
U.S.-Mexico border to support border enforcement already stationed
there at a time the president has called a “national emergency.”
According
to multiple reports,
Defense Secretary James Mattis could sign an order to that effect as
early as Thursday. The troops — who are expected to be in place by
next week — would be directed to help border authorities stop a
caravan of thousands of Central American migrants who are making
their way through Mexico toward the United States, according
to CNN.
Brandon Judd of the National Border Patrol Council is right when he says on @foxandfriends that the Democrat inspired laws make it tough for us to stop people at the Border. MUST BE CHANDED, but I am bringing out the military for this National Emergency. They will be stopped!
With
the midterm elections approaching, Republicans across the country
have been raising alarm about the threat posed by those migrants. At
a rally
in Houston on
Monday, Trump suggested the migrants may be funded by Democrats, and
claimed that some of the migrants are Middle Eastern. There is no
evidence for either claim.
And
earlier this week, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said it
may be necessary to staff up the border.
“I
think this caravan is a serious threat,” Cruz told reporters in
Houston on Monday. “When you see thousands of people pledging to
come violate U.S. law, to cross into this country illegally, we have
to treat that seriously.”
“We
have to stop it,” Cruz added, “whether that means putting Border
Patrol at the border to stop them or whether that means calling up
the National Guard.”
The
delegation is expected to include some active-duty forces, primarily
from the
Army, according
to the Washington Post.
CNN reported that
the troops would not engage in “lethal operations” to stop the
migrants, but would reinforce fencing at spots where migrants might
cross, and also provide tents and medical care for border
authorities. It was not immediately clear Thursday morning where
along the border the reinforcements would be stationed.
The
president also directed troops to
the border in April in an effort to deter illegal immigration. The
tide of border crossings has persisted under Trump, and the number of
families crossing surged in
September to record levels.
Former
Texas Gov. Rick Perry deployed National Guard troops to the border in
summer 2014, and Gov. Greg Abbott kept
them in place after
taking office.
Gov.
Greg Abbott’s office did not immediately return a request for
comment.

from violence in their home countries.

support kids and mothers—shouldn’t that include all kids—even

AMNESTY
INTERNATIONAL USA LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO FREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND
MOTHERS DETAINED BY ICE FOR OVER 500 DAYSAmnesty
International USA (AIUSA) is launching a campaign today urging
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release several families
with young children being detained at the Berks County Residential
Center in Pennsylvania. Four of the 35 children currently detained at
Berks – aged three, four, seven and 16 – have been at the Center
for over 500 days, despite having pending applications for legal
permanent residency.
AIUSA
sent a letter to ICE on March 9 requesting that these families be
granted parole and is mobilizing its over 1.2 million U.S. members
and supporters to call the agency to demand that the families be
released.
“These
four children have spent a significant amount of their lives
essentially behind bars. The U.S. cannot continue to treat those
fleeing horrific violence like criminals,” said Margaret Huang,
Amnesty International USA executive director. “These families were
detained under the Obama administration’s unlawful policy of using
detention as deterrence against those fleeing violence and
insecurity. Now, in the face of President Trump’s aggressive and
inhumane immigration orders, we are deeply concerned for these
families and others like them in the U.S. We will fight to ensure
that people with asylum claims are given a fair hearing and humane
treatment.We must do everything we can to ensure protection for
people who are fleeing violence.”
Researchers
from Amnesty International have worked closely with attorneys who
represent the families held in Berks County, one of three family
detention centers operated by the U.S. government. Berks is currently
holding 34 families – 15 of them for more than a year – many of
whom come from a region known as the Northern Triangle which includes
El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The Northern Triangle is an
area widely recognized for its extreme levels of violence and
insecurity, which Amnesty has also documented extensively.
Three-year-old Josué*
has spent over half his life in detention. He learned to walk and
talk in confinement. He and his 28-year-old mother Teresa have
spent 16 months (500 days, and counting) at Berks. Josué and his

Honduras and came to the US seeking asylum. “[My son]…is so
young, he was only 22 months when we came and now he’s three years
old,” Teresa said in an interview with her lawyers.
Four-year-old Carlos and
his mother, 34-year-old Lorena,
fled threats, intimidation and severe and repeated gender-based
violence in Honduras. They have spent 16 months in detention.
Seven-year-old Antonio and
his mother Marlene,
24,have one of the longest detention periods at Berks – 550 days
and counting. Currently in their 18th month of detention,
Marlene recounts how Antonio has already spent two Christmas in
detention. “It’s not fair for a child to spend a year and a half
in prison”, she said, adding that the impact of prolonged
detention is taking a toll on them. “The psychological effect it
has on a person, and their kids…we can’t bear it anymore.”
At
age 16, Michael is
the oldest child at Berks County. He and his 41-year-old
mother Maribel,
have been held in detention for nearly 17 months. Michael was
targeted for gang recruitment in El Salvador and threatened with
death. Following constant threats to the family, both mother and son
escaped to the U.S. to seek asylum. Michael wants to be a police
officer now.
All
four children were granted a Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)
in late 2016. With SIJS, a state court has determined that it is not
in a minor’s best interest to return to his or her home country
because of abuse, abandonment, or neglect by one or both parents. In
this instance it was determined that these children “were
abandoned, abused, or neglected by [their] father[s]…as such,
[their] mother[s] are now the custodial parent, and responsible for
all decision regarding their court proceedings, custody and care.”
Therefore, it is essential that the mothers and children be released
together. Three of the children have already been issued their
Employment Authorization Document in January 2017, and one is
awaiting his.
This enables them to apply for a social security
number. All have pending applications for legal permanent residency.
Further, their mothers have stays of removal granted by the
3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, while they challenge their removal
orders in federal court.
Each
of the four families has an unchallenged sponsor in the United
States, who is ready and willing to take them in, and ensure their
appearance in court. Despite this, their SIJ status, and pending
applications for legal permanent residency, ICE officials refuse to
release these four children and their mothers from detention.

Kreeg gisteren het bericht van Amnesty International (VS), dat Maria Teresa Rivera, voor wie Amnesty een petitie begon, na bijna 5 jaar is vrijgelaten uit de gevangenis……. Rivera werd in El Salvador veroordeeld voor opzettelijke doodslag van een kind (aggravated homicide, in de VS en El Salvador wordt er anders naar doodslag gekeken, daar kan wel een opzet in tijd mee worden bedoeld, vreemd….)… Rivera werd tot 40 jaar gevangenisstraf veroordeeld……..
Dit terwijl Rivera een miskraam had……… Men is in El Salvador extreem fanatiek op abortus en het is in alle gevallen verboden, dus ook na verkrachting, incest en zelfs als de abortus gebeurde, daar het leven van de moeder in gevaar dreigde te komen tijdens de zwangerschap en/of bevalling……… Vandaar dat het regelmatig voorkomt, dat vrouwen worden beschuldigd voor het plegen van abortus, als zij een miskraam hebben gehad…….. De tyfusidioten!!
Veel vrouwen zitten tientallen jaren in de gevangenis en zoals u kon lezen: de straffen zijn niet misselijk….. Zo ook in het geval van Teodora del Carmen Vásquez, die werd na complicaties tijdens de zwangerschap, waarbij haar ongeboren kind overleed, veroordeeld tot 30 jaar gevangenisstraf……..
Moet u nagaan: deze vrouwen hadden al een trauma dat ze hun kind kwijtraakten en worden daarna ook nog eens onmenselijk gestraft……… Trouwens al hadden ze gewoon besloten, dat ze geen kind, of nog een kind wilden hebben en daarop tot abortus besloten, was het alsnog te gek geweest als men hen strafrechtelijk had vervolgd……..
El Salvador, een katholiek land, de katholieke kerk is gefundeerd op kwaadaardige sprookjes en ondanks dat, schrijft het in feite indirect de wetten voor. Als de wolf in schaapskleren, paus Bergoglio, alias Franciscus morgen stelt dat abortus niet meer verboden is, is het snel afgelopen met dergelijke barbaarse wetgeving. Kan die klootzak meteen even het celibaat afschaffen en het verbod op anticonceptie teniet doen……. Door het verbod van de kerk op anticonceptie, raken veel vrouwen in Zuid-, en Midden Amerika (en andere ontwikkelingslanden) ongewild keer op keer zwanger…… Bovendien is met het anticonceptieverbod, de rk kerk verantwoordelijk voor het grote aantal aidsdoden in arme katholieke landen en daardoor verantwoordelijk voor het grote aantal wezen…..

Zelfs bananen (Guatemala) waren reden voor de CIA een illegale oorlog te beginnen, met een door hen opgezet en getrainde terreurgroep. more and more evidence mounts that the US government was secretly
assisting the Islamic State, it might be time to point out a few
instances when the Central Intelligence Agency created secret armies.
The current theory suggests the
US secretly supported the Islamic State so the Islamists would
destabilize the government of Syrian President Assad. If that seems
out of the question, remember the CIA once started a war over
bananas… literal bananas.
Cuba: Probably
the best known secret army. Castro nationalized the assets of western
companies after his government took power, so the US
decided to overthrow the government of Cuba and install a puppet
regime. As with most of the armies backed by the US intelligence
establishment, it failed. Miserably. The Bay of Pigs invasion
saw 1400
US-trained Cubans surrender to Castro’s forces within 24
hours.
El
Salvador: The
US-supported Salvadoran government faced opposition from communist
rebels. US intelligence saw an obvious and simple answer:
establish death
squads. US intelligence trained and advised pro-government forces
as they massacred villages and led the way to the displacement of
over a million people. Immediately after the ceasefire, there was a
general amnesty for people implicated in war crimes. This amnesty was
ruled to be illegal, but remains in effect anyway. Those seeking
justice are often burglarized and the evidence
of CIA involvementis stolen.
Afghanistan: The
US armed and trained the Mujaheddin fighters through Operation
Cyclone. Later, many of these fighters would form the core of the
fundamentalist Islamic terrorist groups we are fighting (or possibly
supporting) today. Yes, Osama bin Laden was one
of the fighterstrained by the CIA in Afghanistan. The whole
operation was carried out to stop the Soviet invasion.
Guatemala: This
little CIA caper is the origin of the term “Banana Republic.” The
democratically elected President of Guatemala decided
to punish the United Fruit Company for decades of
consorting with the country’s dictators. He began to propose
legislation to end the US multinational’s monopoly on almost
everything in the country. So what else could the CIA do? The
agency overthrew the
legal government and triggered a war… over bananas.
Congo: In
the 1960s, Belgium was ending its colonial rule over Congo. Rather
than allow self-determination,
the CIA staged
assassinations, armed rebel forces, brought in European
mercenaries, and even backed them up with a secret air
force.
Nicaragua
(the second time): In
the 1980s, the leftist Sandinistas took power. The CIA backed
the Contra militia
that opposed them. The agency funneled them arms, ran
cocaine for them, and trained the organization that
become well known for child soldiers, massacres at literacy
centers, and war crimes of just about every imaginable kind.
Angola: The
CIA hired French
and South African mercenaries to assist right-wing groups in their
fight against the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola.
The group was competing with several other paramilitary
organizations in a fight to take over the country after the
Portuguese decolonized. The CIA’s mercenary army predictably
lost.
Ukraine
(the first time): During
the second World War, the Nazis set up a partisan group in Ukraine
to harass and slow the advancing Soviet forces. At the end of
World War II, US intelligence began funding and assisting the
partisan group. The Soviets wiped the partisans out in 1952.
Venezuela: In
2002, a group within Venezuela attempted to oust the government.
The US flatly denied involvement. Of course, there is more than
enough evidence
to tie the Bush Administration to the plot. There is even
circumstantial evidence a more recent second
attempt.
Ukraine
(the second time): The
most recent revolution in Ukraine may have started organically,
however, it was seized upon by US intelligence. The revolution
became just another method of installing a US
puppet regime. The US chose to install literal Nazis.
These facts are largely ignored by
US media.
Would
US intelligence secretly back a brutal, murderous paramilitary
group to destabilize a country on the US hit list? Of course. The
US intelligence apparatus has been doing it for about 60 years.

De Wereldbank steunt de miljardenclaim van OceanaGold, het Canadees / Australisch goudmijnbedrijf, dat door El Salvador het land uit werd geschopt, daar het intussen 90% van de zoetwatervoorraad in dat land had vervuild met haar smerige productie methode.
Beste lezer ik zal het maar toegeven, in het verleden, weliswaar meer dan 38 jaar geleden, was ik zo naïef, dat ik werkelijk dacht, dat de Wereldbank er was om kleine landen te helpen, niet alleen om de financiën op een ‘fatsoenlijke’ manier op orde te krijgen, maar deze landen ook bij te staan tegen de verregaande corrupte praktijken van grote bedrijven, die in die arme landen, makkelijk machthebbers om kunnen kopen……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, dom hè???!! Zoals eens te meer blijkt, is het juist andersom, de Wereldbank maakt arme landen klaar voor de neoliberale kapitalistische waarden, die wij in het westen omarmen. Niet om die landen echt het westerse welvaartspeil te brengen (of men daar nu wel of niet blij om moet zijn….), nee deze landen mogen mee snoepen van de grote taart, door gebruik te maken van de aanwezige uiterst goedkope arbeid en/of hen de grondstoffen zo goedkoop mogelijk te ontfutselen.
Even terzijde: wat dacht u van de kap van het Amazonewoud? In het westen worden tranentrekkende pleidooien gehouden, dat dit afgelopen moet zijn, terwijl we maar al te graag de genetisch gemanipuleerde soja, voor onze immense veestapel laten verbouwen in dit kwetsbare ecosysteem, waardoor er nog meer van dit oerwoud wordt gekapt, dan wel verbrand (80% van de wereld sojaproductie, gaat naar vee……)…. Zoals aan de andere kant van de wereld, de oerwouden in Zuidoost-Azië worden gekapt, om daar palmbomen te planten, om onze onverzadigbare ‘honger’ naar palmolie te stillen. U moet voor de gein eens kijken op de verpakkingen van het supermarktvoedsel dat u zich aanschaft, dan zal u zien, in hoeveel producten palmolie is verwerkt (beter laten staan in de winkel)….. De grote bedrijven beloven en zeggen zelfs dat ze duurzaam bezig zijn, maar ondertussen doen ze zo goed als niets, tegen het belachelijk grote gebruik van palmolie of soja, waarvoor de oerwouden worden gekapt, of verbrand………
Terug naar El Salvador: nu staat de Wereldbank dus achter een kolossaal rijk bedrijf, dat tegen veel te weinig vergoeding voor El Salvador en met een gigantische vervuiling voor dat land en haar inwoners, dit land ook nog eens financieel kapot wil maken. Uiteraard is de opzet, dat El Salvador op de knieën gaat en OceanaGold smeekt a.u.b. terug te komen, met nog minder bescherming voor de natuur en de watervoorraden…..
Mensen, lees en teken a.u.b. de petitie van SumOfUS, waarin deze organisatie de Wereldbank oproept de claim van OceanaGold als ongegrond te verklaren en zegt het voort!
In de nacht van zondag op maandag, meldde BBC World Service, dat de vulkaan Chaparrastique in de Salvadoraanse regio San Miguel, tot uitbarsting was gekomen. duizenden mensen waren al geëvacueerd en de vele koffieboeren in de regio, vrezen voor hun oogst.
Wedden dat de koffieprijs binnenkort omhoog gaat, niet dat de getroffen Salvadoraanse koffieboeren daar ook maar iets van krijgen, nee, de westerse koffiehandelaren, die zich al helemaal scheel verdienen aan de koffie, hebben maar de helft van een dergelijke boodschap nodig en de euro’s en dollars glinsteren in hun ogen……..
