Anti-Russische propaganda, waarin Rusland verantwoordelijk wordt gesteld voor de protesten tegen VS pijpleiding projecten, ook al als onzin doorgeprikt

Niets
weerhoudt een groot deel van de VS ervan Rusland verantwoordelijk te
houden voor alles wat niet lukt, dan wel volkomen fout gaat en voor protesten in de VS tegen
pijpleidingen en het fracken voor schalie-olie- en schaliegaswinning….. Dat laatste: protesten tegen smerige projecten, is de laatste zaak die toegevoegd wordt aan de algemene westerse anti-Russische propaganda leugencarrousel….. 

Het wachten is op een volgend onderwerp dat wordt toegevoegd aan deze propaganda, te denken valt aan protesten tegen de algehele vernieuwde kernwapendoctrine, de inzet van het kernwapen als eerste aanvalswapen, althans als je daar nog mensen voor op straat krijgt…… (waar de VS zelfs een cyberaanval als reden voor die inzet ziet….)  De situatie nu is veel ernstiger dan die in de 70er en 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw, terwijl er toen miljoenen mensen de straat op gingen tegen kernwapens, is er nu zelfs geen aanzet tot het organiseren van (wereldwijde) demonstraties…..

Nu
worden dus ook de anti-pijpleiding protesten van de laatste paar jaar in de VS toegeschreven aan Rusland……… Zelfs hare kwaadaardigheid Hillary
Clinton, die het gore lef heeft zich af te schilderen als
milieubewust, durfde Rusland als verantwoordelijke voor de protesten
aan te wijzen……..

(SP Op-ed) — A
“staff report” from Republicans on the United States House
Science, Space, and Technology Committee offers little evidence to
prove allegations of Russian efforts to influence U.S. energy markets
through “social media propaganda” to incite pipeline protests.

Nonetheless, the
report,
pushed by Republican chairman Representative Lamar Smith, went
virtually unquestioned when it was covered by U.S. media.

What
the report reveals are several Twitter and Instagram posts that
Republicans claim were posted by “Russian agents” linked to the
Internet Research Agency (IRA), the troll farm which has become a
focus of narratives that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential
election.

The
report recycles unsubstantiated news reporting that strongly
suggested the Russian government was behind anti-fracking activism in
the U.S. It contends these posts and tweets demonstrate the “broad
nature of Russia’s meddling and to reveal Russia’s attempts to
deceive and influence the American public, especially as related to
domestic energy issues.”

“Between
2015 and 2017, there were an estimated 9,097 Russian posts or tweets
regarding U.S. energy policy or a current energy event on Twitter,
Facebook and Instagram,” according to the report. “Between 2015
and 2017, there were an estimated 4,334 IRA accounts across Twitter,
Facebook and Instagram.”

To
understand how these numbers are incredibly minuscule, there are
about 95 million posts to Instagram per day and 800 million or more
users, as of September 2017. About 500,000 comments, 293,000 status
updates, and 136,000 photos are posted to Facebook daily. There are
over 2 billion active users on Facebook. On Twitter, about 500
million or more tweets are posted each day. There are 330 million
active monthly users.

House
Republicans did not break down the number of IRA accounts by
platform. But if the 4,334 accounts were all Twitter accounts, it
would mean the number of active Russian accounts represented less
than 0.0013 percent of Twitter users. That percentage would be much
smaller for Facebook and Instagram.

As
for reported posts and tweets, because Republicans are pulling from
contents that appeared between 2015 and 2017, they are essentially
revealing an average of 3,000 or so posts and tweets appeared each
year.

What
is 3,000 out of the 95 million posts to Instagram? What is 3,000 out
of the hundreds of thousands of comments and updates to Facebook?
What is 3,000 out of 500 million or more tweets?

These
are smaller than microscopic numbers. They barely can be said to
represent a broad influence campaign by Russia to undermine U.S.
fossil fuel industries and incite opposition to American “energy
independence.”

The
“Russian tweets” are not even disinformation. They mostly appear
to be messages containing advocacy from Senator Bernie Sanders,
presidential candidate in the 2016 election, and his supporters. For
example:

These
tweets reference the health impact of natural gas fracking. They
mention the link between earthquakes and fracking. They note
political efforts to ban fracking through state ballot initiatives.
What they do not do is promote disinformation, such as falsehoods
about the fossil fuel industry.

The
report continues a blatant agenda by Republicans to discredit climate
activism against oil and gas pipelines. It even argues Russians are
trying to make “useful idiots” of “unwitting
environmental groups and activists in furtherance of its energy
influence operations.”

In
July 2017, Smith and Republican Representative Randy
Weber urged Treasury
Secretary Steven Mnuchin to “investigate whether the Kremlin [was]
bankrolling green campaigns against the fracking technology that
helped the U.S. overtake Russia in gas production.”

But
as POLITICO noted, “Allegations have circulated for years that
Moscow has sought to discourage European countries from developing
their own natural gas supplies as an alternative to Russian fuel. And
conservatives have sought to extend those concerns to the U.S.—though
there’s little but innuendo to base them on.”

A
surge in activism against pipeline projects, especially as the
impacts of climate change intensify, has brought pressure to fossil
fuel industry interests. Smith is one of the industry’s most ardent
defenders. He even publicly contends climate change is still subject
to debate when it is settled science.

An
Inside Climate News report details how
the fossil fuel industry is a major contributor to science committee
members. It donated $8 million from 2006 to 2016, making it the
leading source of “industry political action committee money.”
The oil and gas industry  is one of Smith’s biggest
contributors, “with $764,000 in donations over the course of his
career in Congress.”

Smith
frequently alleges charges of “secret science” against government
agencies that seek to regulate coal-fired power plants, oil
refineries, and energy pollution in general. He engages in the very
kind of efforts to provoke discord and disruption that the House
science committee report condemns. It is all to manufacture doubt in
order to tie up policy deliberations in debate so they do not affect
companies’ profits.

While
this report is clearly rubbish, Democrats have not said anything to
challenge the allegations. Perhaps, this is because they are fully
invested in the narrative that Russia is meddling in all parts of
American discourse on social media.

Smith
invokes the bipartisan consensus on “Russian manipulation.”
Democratic Senator Ben Cardin recently published a report that
stated, “According to NATO officials, Russian intelligence agencies
also reportedly provide covert support to European environmental
groups to campaign against fracking for natural gas,
thereby keeping the EU more dependent on Russian supplies. A study by
the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies reports that the
Russian government has invested $95 million in NGOs that seek to
persuade EU governments to end shale gas exploration.”

During
a tinePublic speech in
2014, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton accused
“phony environmental groups” that she believes are funded by the
Russians of being responsible for the opposition to oil pipelines and
natural gas fracking. “I’m a big environmentalist, but these were
funded by the Russians to stand against any effort, oh that pipeline,
that fracking, that whatever will be a problem for you, and a lot of
the money supporting that message was coming from Russia.”

Much
of the notion among conservatives that U.S. climate activism is
funded by Russia stems from a report by a front group, the
Environmental Policy Alliance, operated by Berman & Co., which is
run by Rick Berman.

Berman
is known for attacks against
Mothers Against Drunk Driving. He also has defended Big Tobacco from
anti-smoking campaigns. He previously boasted,
“If the oil and gas industry wants to prevent its opponents from
slowing its efforts to drill in more places, it must be prepared to
employ tactics like digging up embarrassing tidbits about
environmentalists and liberal celebrities” and urged industry
executives “to exploit emotions like fear, greed and anger and turn
them against the environmental groups.”

Part
of Berman’s efforts to exploit emotions involved accusing U.S.
environmental organization of accepting money from the Sea Change
Foundation, which allegedly accepted funds from a Bermuda-based
company called Klein Limited with executives tied to Russian oil and
gas companies.

“We
double-check confirmed that the origin of the funds we’re getting
from Sea Change is through a donor, not from Russia,” Melinda
Pierce, Sierra Club’s legislative director, declared.
“It’s a private U.S. citizen who cares about climate change and
has invested in the kind of work that the Sierra Club does to move us
off dirty energy to clean energy.”

This
campaign to smear U.S. environmental organizations as agents of the
Russian oil and gas industry was picked up by Republicans. It
influenced a 2014 report,
“The Chain of Environmental Command: How a Club of Billionaires and
Their Foundations Control the Environmental Movement and Obama’s
EPA.”

Back
then, it was innuendo and unsubstantiated claims intended to help the
industry defend itself against pipeline activists. It remains
industry-driven propaganda.

The
only difference now is that the current political climate embraces a
bipartisan consensus that Russians will stop at nothing to sow
discord. Democrats do not see conservative political action
committees and right-wing industry front groups as responsible for
political turmoil over issues mired in contentious debate. They see
Russians, and even if they do not deny the reality of climate change,
that leaves U.S. policy vulnerable to actions that are aimed at
protecting fossil fuel companies and drowning out protest from
citizens concerned about climate change.

Met een
enorme lobby o.a. gesteund door de Environmental
Protection Agency(EPA
>> gaat in de VS onder meer over toelating van
pesticiden), dus de overheid van de VS, probeert men al jaren glyfosaat als ongevaarlijk af te schilderen……

Naar nu
blijkt heeft zelfs de EPA zich tegengesproken, daar dit orgaan glyfosaat eerder wel degelijk als gevaarlijk heeft aangemerkt……. Dit alles was
bekend bij de EU toen men onlangs een verlenging van de vergunning
t.b.v. deze tyfuszooi van vooral Monsanto heeft afgegeven, dit voor een periode van nog eens 5 jaar…..

De bijen
en vlinders dreigen in een groot deel van de wereld uit te sterven,
de laatste 30 jaar is het aantal insecten met 75% tin aantallen
teruggelopen….. De grote oorzaak van dit uitsterven, zijn pesticiden, waar Roundup (met hoofdbestanddeel glyfosaat)  voor een groot deel de dader is……. En toch koos de ‘volksvertegenwoordiging’ in Brussel
deze, voor mens en dier uiterst gevaarlijke stof, nog eens 5 jaar toe te
laten, puur en alleen voor het geldelijk gewin……. 

Schandalig genoeg
stemde EU grofgraaier en oplichter Bas Eickhout van GroenLinks, uh AsgrauwRechts in het EU parlement ook voor langer gebruik van deze letterlijke kankertroep!! Ach ja, ook voor GL gaat op dat de volksgezondheid ver na het geldelijk gewin komt en Klaver zich maar uitsloven en doen of hij zo begaan is met het milieu en de natuur….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! 

Dan te bedenken dat de EU jaarlijks een ‘milieu award’ vergeeft…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een smerig stel volksverlakkers!! (NEXIT NU!!)

Vergeet de woorden van Einstein niet: zonder insecten is de mens gedoemd uit te sterven……. (al zal dat lullig genoeg, de planeet goed doen….)

Contradicts Its Own Research, Claims Roundup Poses No Risk to Humans

(ANTIMEDIA) — On
Monday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a new
report declaring that the weed killer glyphosate does not pose any
meaningful risk to humans, but the report is not likely to end the
debate over the safety of the world’s most widely used pesticide.
The new report from the EPA is the latest in a string of conflicting
reports from various health agencies around the world. Reuters first
reported on
the assessment:

“The
EPA, in a draft risk assessment report issued on Monday, also said it
found ‘no other meaningful risks to human health’ when
glyphosate, the world’s biggest-selling weed killer, is used
according to its label instructions.”

The
EPA’s decision conflicts with a March 2015 report from the
International Agency for Research on Cancer that found that
glyphosate “probably” contributes to non-Hodgkin lymphoma in
humans and classified it as a ‘Group 2A’ carcinogen. “There
was sufficient evidence in animals, limited evidence in humans and
strong supporting evidence showing DNA mutations and damaged
chromosomes,”
Aaron Blair, a scientist emeritus at the National Cancer Institute
and lead author of the study, told Reuters at
the time.

The
IARC report was published in The
Lancet Oncology and
detailed evaluations of organophosphate pesticides and herbicides.
The report concluded that there was “limited
evidence of carcinogenicity in humans for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.”
The evidence for this conclusion was pulled from studies of exposure
to the chemical in the US, Canada, and Sweden published since 2001.
The researchers found “convincing
evidence that glyphosate can also cause cancer in laboratory
animals.”

Shortly
after the IARC review, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), an
independent agency funded by the European Union, shot back with their
own study, claiming glyphosate is “unlikely
to pose a carcinogenic hazard to humans.”
Earlier this month, the European Commission renewed
the license to
use glyphosate for another five years. The Commission’s renewal
came despite
the efforts of the European Citizens’ Initiative,
called “Ban glyphosate and protect people and the environment from
toxic pesticides.” The effort collected more than 1 million
signatures.

Those
studies were followed by research from
experts with the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization
(FAO). The FAO
released a statement claiming
glyphosate is “unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans”
exposed to it through food. The WHO co-signed the statement with the
FAO. The organizations also found that glyphosate is not likely to be
genotoxic — destructive to cell’s genetic material — in humans.

This
means that as of December 2017, the United Nations’ Food and
Agriculture Organization, the World Health Organization, the European
Food Safety Authority, and the United Nations say glyphosate does not
pose a risk of cancer to humans. On the other end of the spectrum,
the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer IARC states
that it could be linked to cancer. To add even more confusion to the
matter, in October, Reuters reported that
an analysis of the IARC’s assessment of glyphosate showed the
agency ignored findings and deleted statements that contradicted
their final conclusion. Reuters reported:

“The
edits identified by Reuters occurred in the chapter of IARC’s
review focusing on animal studies. This chapter was important in
IARC’s assessment of glyphosate, since it was in animal studies
that IARC decided there was ‘sufficient’ evidence of
carcinogenicity. One effect of the changes to the draft, reviewed by
Reuters in a comparison with the published report, was the removal of
multiple scientists’ conclusions that their studies had found no
link between glyphosate and cancer in laboratory animals.”

All
this confusion among agencies does not help the average consumer when
it comes to safety and health. Who should we trust when our very
lives are on the line? Government agencies that operate a revolving
door with big pharma, big ag, and other industrial complexes?

Despite
the EPA’s latest decision, Jennifer Sass, a senior scientist for
the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) advocacy group,
told Reuters that “[t]here is data suggesting
cancer.” What data is Sass referring to?

She
is more than likely talking about an EPA study from the 1980s that
found glyphosate does, indeed, increase the likelihood of developing
cancer. The 2015 IARC report points out that the EPA had originally
classified glyphosate as possibly carcinogenic to humans in 1985. The
IARC Working Group evaluated the original EPA findings and more
recent reports before concluding “there is sufficient evidence
of carcinogenicity in experimental animals.”

On
November 1st, In
These Times Magazine
released an in-depth report titled “How
Monsanto Captured the EPA (And Twisted Science) To Keep Glyphosate on
the Market.” The
investigation does a great job of outlining the history of regulation
of glyphosate and how Monsanto — glyphosate is the key ingredient
in Monsanto’s Roundup — has been able to influence and subvert
regulatory agencies in order to make glyphosate the most widely used
pesticide in the world. “Our
two-year investigation found incontrovertible evidence that Monsanto
has exerted deep influence over EPA decisions since glyphosate first
came on the market—via Roundup—more than 40 years ago,”
the report states.

The
detailed investigation reveals that nearly every time a Monsanto
chemical was receiving negative attention from scientists and
researchers, the biotech company would hire its own researchers and
firms or pressure government employees until they came to Monsanto’s
preferred conclusion. The testing and approval of glyphosate seem to
fit the pattern.

“Throughout
the 1970s, EPA staff repeatedly raised red flags about the inadequacy
of testing data that Monsanto was submitting in support of
glyphosate’s original registration,”
the report states. In
These Times also
examined EPA memos they say “detail
incomplete or otherwise unacceptable toxicology screening tests.”
The pressure to approve glyphosate can be traced back to 1983 when
the EPA was examining toxicity data supplied by Monsanto. As part of
the registration and approval process, Monsanto submitted a two-year
mouse feeding study. In
These Times writes:

“The
mouse study was conducted for Monsanto by a commercial lab called
Bio/Dynamics, but the results of the research were neither
peer-reviewed nor made publicly available.

Staff
toxicologists, pathologists and statisticians in the TB provided the
first interpretation of these results.

On
March 4, 1985, an ad hoc committee of these scientists reported that
based on this mouse study, glyphosate was carcinogenic, or a ‘Class
C’ substance. They did not question the 1983 study’s structure or
reported data. EPA staff toxicologist William Dykstra, in an April 3,
1985, memo, stated unequivocally, ‘Glyphosate was oncogenic in male
mice causing renal tubule adenomas, a rare tumor, in a dose-related
manner.’”

In
true Monsanto fashion, the company hired four pathologists to review
the original tissue slides from the 1983 study. Monsanto’s
pathologists claimed to have seen a tumor in one of the mice in the
control group. This finding cast doubt on the EPA’s original
conclusion and the entire study. By March 1986, the EPA had reversed
their designation of glyphosate as carcinogenic. Monsanto still
relies on the claim that one of the control group mice also had a
tumor so the cause could not have been glyphosate.

However,
in another memo dated February 1985, Herbert Lacayo, a statistician
with the EPA’s Toxicology Branch, stated that without glyphosate
exposure, the odds of tumors appearing were about 156 to 1.

“Under
such circumstances a prudent person would reject the Monsanto
assumption that glyphosate dosing has no effect on kidney tumor
production,” wrote Lacayo. “Our viewpoint is one of
protecting the public health when we see suspicious data. It is not
our job to protect registrants from false positives.”

Officially,
the chemical glyphosate and products like Roundup do not cause cancer
and are of no harm to the planet or animals. However, when one takes
a deeper look at the history of the studies and the company behind
the product, valid reasons to be skeptical can be found.

Glyfosaat, de leugens van Monsanto over dit kankerverwekkend gif……….

Uit documenten blijkt dat Monsanto, een pro-Monsanto artikel over glyfosaat dat in de reguliere (massa-) media verscheen, nadat het wetenschappelijk blad Forbes dit publiceerde, eigenlijk zelf heeft geschreven……

Monsanto verzocht ‘wetenschapper’ Henry I. Miller van de Stanford University een positief verhaal te schrijven over glyfosaat, een uiterst gevaarlijke stof, die gebruikt wordt in het landbouwgif Roundup. Monsanto heeft genetisch gemanipuleerde zaden, die grote hoeveelheden glyfosaat overleven (uiteraard zit het gif wel in die planten….)……

Monsanto verzocht Miller e.e.a. te doen, n.a.v een publicatie over glyfosaat van het International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), een orgaan van de VN Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) en zoals u begrijpt, deze publicatie was allesbehalve gunstig voor Monsanto……..

Miller gaf aan  te verdrinken in opdrachten en verzocht Monsanto alvast een door deze gifmenger zelf opgesteld document te komen……. Miller veranderde daar niet veel aan en liet dit artikel op Forbes (Magazine, een wetenschappelijk blad) publiceren, zonder te vermelden dat het grootste deel van de inhoud van Monsanto zelf kwam…….. Toen Forbes dit ontdekte in augustus dit jaar, werd het artikel uit 2015 van de site verwijderd, echter andere media, waaronder CBS hebben dit artikel gewoon op de website laten staan (in PDF vorm)……

Volgens Miller kan glyfosaat geen kwaad voor de menselijke gezondheid, zelfs niet in grote hoeveelheden, dit terwijl een groot aantal arbeiders die met deze stof werkten kanker hebben opgelopen……

De EU is volkomen tegen de zin van heel veel burgers bezig om Trump over te halen het TTIP verdrag uit de koelkast te halen en te tekenen. Mocht dit gebeuren, is één ding zeker: Monsanto (ofwel gifmenger Bayer*) zal de EU of afzonderlijke EU landen, mochten die onverhoeds toch besluiten glyfosaat te verbieden (daar ziet het niet naar uit**), voor geheime rechtbanken dagen en daar gelijk krijgen, waarop de EU of afzonderlijke landen deze letterlijke kankerzooi alsnog moeten toelaten………

(ANTIMEDIA) —
According
to documents recently released amid a lawsuit against Monsanto
regarding the safety of glyphosate, a widely used herbicide, a
prominent academic from Stanford University allowed the agrochemical
giant to pen an op-ed in his name. It was subsequently published
in Forbes magazine.

Henry
I. Miller, a Robert Wesson Fellow in Scientific Philosophy and
Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University,
has long
been an ally of
large agricultural companies, as well as the tobacco industry.

In
2015, shortly after the International Agency for Research on Cancer,
a branch of the World Health Organization, ruled that glyphosate was
a “probable carcinogen,” an email sent
to Miller by Eric
Sachs,
a Science, Technology & Outreach Lead at Monsanto, invited him to
write about the decision:

“Henry,

Are
you interested in writing more on the topic of the IARC panel, its
process and controversial decision? I have background and can provide
information if needed. The outcome is embargoed but will be
communicated as early as next week.

Eric”

This
brief email not only established that Miller and Sachs had previously
interacted, but that the company was directly asking Miller to
comment on the IARC decision.

Miller’s
response reveals his complicity and willingness to let Monsanto
control the narrative:

“I
would be if I could start from a high-quality draft,”
he responded, adding that he was “inundated
with projects.”

“We
have a draft nearly done and will send to you by tomorrow,” Sachs
responded, and just hours later, sends over a draft. “Here
is our draft…It’s still quite rough… but a good start for your
magic…”
he wrote.

Miller
eventually passed this draft on to Forbes without
disclosing that Monsanto had written the bulk of it.
When Forbes learned
of his 2015 arrangement this month, they removed the article,
though CBS published a PDF
version of
most of its contents.

In
the article, Miller cautioned against trusting any U.N. agency. He
argued that the EPA and ECHA (European Chemical Agency)
had not previously
found these active ingredients to be likely carcinogens
(unsurprisingly, the agrochemical has influenced these
agencies and, in the case of the EPA, Monsanto’s own research has
been used
to approve glyphosate
products).

After
discussing the difference between “hazard” and “harm,” Miller
argued that “the reality is that glyphosate is not a human
health risk even at levels of exposure that are even 100 times higher
than the human exposures that occur under conditions consistent with
the product’s labeling.”

Of
course, mounting research disputes
his assertion, as do plaintiffs in
multiple suits of workers
exposed to
the chemical who eventually developed cancer.

This
isn’t the first time Monsanto has attempted
to influence the
media and scientific research.

According
to other leaked internal emails exchanged about a month before the
IARC decision in 2015, Monsanto Product Safety Assessment
Strategy Lead William
Heydens discussed
ghost-writing research and having academics put their names on it.
Addressing toxicologist Donna
Farmer in
an email titled
“IARC planning,” Heydens wrote:

“An
option would be to add Greim and Kier or Kirkland to have their names
on the publication, but we would be keeping the cost down by us doing
the writing and they would just edit & sign their names so to
speak. Recall that is how we handled Williams Kroes & Munro,
2000.”

Monsanto
has vehemently denied that
this email proves they ghost-wrote the Williams, Kroes, and Munro
article, claiming it was taken out of context.

But
that email is far from their only indicator that they
have attempted to influence the
conversation surrounding their products. Even so, Monsanto is
far from the only powerful conglomerate to attempt to exert control
over narratives, scientific research, and government agencies.
Companies like Coca
Cola and Pepsi have
also backed academic studies and “health
groups,”
and pharmaceutical companies also influence research,
which governmental agencies often use to approve their products.

All
the while, as their misleading practices are exposed, they continue
to suspend reality in the hopes of convincing others their backroom
dealings are legitimate. As Monsanto VP of global strategy Scott
Partridge said after
Miller was exposed:

“That
was a collaborative effort, a function of the outrage we were hearing
from many people on the attacks on glyphosate. This is not a
scientific, peer-reviewed journal. It’s an op-ed we collaborated
with him on.”

EU-parlement
herhaalt standpunten over glyfosaat

Het
Europees Parlement heeft geen nieuwe gezichtspunten naar voren
gebracht bij een uitgebreide hoorzitting over onkruidbestrijder
glyfosaat.

Vertegenwoordigers
van Europese instituten Echa en Efsa benadrukten de deugdelijkheid
van de ingenomen standpunten over de veiligheid van de
onkruidbestrijder glyfosaat.

Consultant
en wetenschapper David Kirkland die meewerkte aan een aantal
publicaties over glyfosaat, kreeg het zwaar te verduren, omdat hij
voor zijn werk door Monsanto is betaald. Kirkland verdedigde zich
onder meer met het argument dat architecten, accountants en advocaten
ook worden betaald voor hun adviezen.

Onderzoek
in opdracht van Monsanto

Verschillende
Europarlementariërs verwonderden zich erover dat de Europese
Voedselveiligheidsautoriteit en het Europees Chemicaliën Agentschap
zich mede baseren op onderzoek dat in opdracht van belanghebbende
fabrikanten (in dit geval Monsanto) wordt uitgevoerd. De beide
agentschappen legden uit dat producenten de plicht hebben onderzoek
te doen naar hun gewasbeschermingsmiddelen en dat ze de gegevens
daarover moeten overleggen aan de beoordelende instanties.

Volgens
sommige parlementariërs zijn onderzoeken die duiden op
kankerverwekkendheid van glyfosaat genegeerd.

Monsanto,
dat weigerde aan de hoorzitting deel te nemen, is op grond van
die weigering de toegang tot het Europees Parlement ontzegd.

Glyfosaat
opnieuw toelaten

De
Europese Commissie wil de werkzame stof glyfosaat voor een periode
van tien jaar opnieuw
toelaten.
Daarover wordt een besluit genomen in het permanent comité voor
planten, dieren, voeding en veevoer (Scopaff) waarin alle lidstaten
zijn vertegenwoordigd.

Gifmenger Monsanto verzekert al jaren dat haar gif Roundup veilig is, waarbij dit bedrijf de EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) noemt als overheidsorgaan, dat Roundup veilig voor gebruik verklaarde.

Uit vorige week vrijgegeven documenten blijkt nu dat Monsanto en de EPA samenwerkten om onderzoek naar kanker veroorzaakt door Roundup, onderzoek gedaan door de WHO (VN Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie) onderuit te halen……..

De EPA heeft de ‘wetenschappelijke gegevens’ van Monsanto overgenomen, waarbij de EPA ook nog eens alleen naar één chemisch onderdeel van dit gif heeft gekeken!! De top-toxicoloog van Monsanto, Donna Farmer moest zelfs toegeven, dat Monsanto niet had onderzocht of Roundup kankerverwekkend is……….

For
years the company has assured farmers that their weed killing product
was absolutely safe to use. As proof, Monsanto touted the approval of
the chemical by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

That
said, newly unsealed court documents released earlier today seemingly
reveal a startling
effort on
the part of both Monsanto and the
EPA to work in concert to kill and/or discredit independent, albeit
inconvenient, cancer research conducted by the World Health
Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer
(IARC)…More on this later.

But,
before we get into the competing studies, here is a brief look at the
‘extensive’ work that Monsanto and the EPA did prior to
originally declaring Roundup safe for use (hint: not much). As the
excerpt below reveals, the EPA effectively declared Roundup safe for
use without even conducting tests on the actual formulation, but
instead relying on industry research on just one of the product’s
active ingredients.

“EPA’s
minimal standards do not require human health data submissions
related to the formulated product – here, Roundup. Instead, EPA
regulations require only studies and data that relate to the active
ingredient, which in the case of Roundup is glyphosate. As a result,
the body of scientific literature EPA has reviewed is not only
primarily provided by the industry, but it also only considers one
part of the chemical ingredients that make up Roundup.”

Meanwhile,
if that’s not enough for you, Donna Farmer, Monsanto’s lead
toxicologist, even admitted in her deposition that she “cannot
say that Roundup does not cause cancer” because “[w]e
[Monsanto] have not done the carcinogenicity studies with Roundup.”

And
just in case you’re the super skeptical type, here is Farmer’s
actual email, from back in 2009, which seems pretty clear:

“you
cannot say that Roundup does not cause cancer..we have not done
carcinogenicity studies with ‘Roundup.’”

And
while the revelations above are quite damning by themselves, this is
where things get really interesting.

In
early 2015, once it became clear that the World Health Organization’s
IARC was working on their own independent study of Roundup, Monsanto
immediately launched their own efforts to preemptively discredit any
results that might be deemed ‘inconvenient.’

That
said, Monsanto, the $60 billion behemoth, couldn’t
possibly afford
the $250,000 bill that would come with conducting a legitimate
scientific study led by accredited scientists. Instead, they
decided to
“ghost-write” key sections of their report themselves and plotted
to then have the independent scientists just “sign their names so
to speak.”

“A
less expensive/more palatable approach might be to involve experts
only for the areas of contention, epidemiology and possibly MOA
(depending on what comes out of the IARC meeting), and we ghost-write
the Exposure Tox & Genetox sections…but we would be keeping the
cost down by us doing the writing and they would just edit & sign
their names so to speak.”

Finally,
when all else fails, you call in those “special favors” in
Washington D.C. that you’ve paid handsomely for over the years.

And
that’s where Jess Rowland, the EPA’s Deputy Division Director for
the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention and chair of
the Agency’s Cancer Assessment Review Committee, comes in to assure
you that he’s fully exploiting his role as the “chair of the
CARC” to kill any potentially damaging research…”if I can kill
this I should get a medal.”

of which begs the question of whether the D.C. swamp is just too
large to be drained.

Obama over ‘verregaande milieumaatregelen’, ofwel: ‘als de vos de passie preekt, boer pas op uw kippen!’

Obama heeft speciaal een videoboodschap laten maken, met een uiterst schijnheilig praatje van hemzelf t.a.v. het milieu, een video waarin hij ongeveer dezelfde (volkomen tekortschietende) maatregelen aankondigde, die door de EU eerder werden gedaan. Als was hij de messias zelf, zo prak Obama de VS toe en dat zonder zijn ingrijpen nu, de boel naar de kloten zou gaan…… Terwijl de VS en Australië steenkool tegen afbraakprijzen dumpen op de wereldmarkt, waardoor ontwikkelingslanden zich alleen nog focussen op die smerige, goedkope steenkool…… Obama stelde dat de huidige generatie (machthebbers AP) de enige is, die de klimaatverandering kan voorkomen…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een oplichter, die klimaatverandering vindt nu al plaats en de maatregelen om de boel nog enigszins te beteugelen, schieten volkomen tekort, ook de laatste maatregelen, die Obama zelf aankondigde!!! En dat zonder het hiervoor genoemde dumpen van steenkool, of het boren op grote diepten onder water en/of in het Arctisch gebied, daarin mee te rekenen!!

Als de complete passagiersluchtvaart wereldwijd, zou worden aangemerkt als land, zou het op de 7de plaats eindigen, na Duitsland, als grote uitstoter van CO2. Dat zal tegen 2050 zelfs verdrievoudigd zijn, als er geen actie wordt ondernomen.Vergeet daarbij niet, dat Duitsland zich (weliswaar veel te zwak) heeft gecommitteerd haar uitstoot in te perken voor 2050………. De EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), heeft dit in de VS na onderzoek bekendgemaakt. Een onderzoek dat er pas kwam, na druk van (maatschappelijke) milieuorganisaties als The Center for Biological Diversity…………..

Datzelfde EPA onderneemt verder niets, dat laat deze VS overheidsinstantie over aan The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)……. Deze organisatie heeft al 18 jaar lang niets gedaan om de uitstoot van vliegverkeer in te dammen, integendeel……… The Center for Biological Diversity is een petitie gestart om de EPA te dwingen zelf tot actie over te gaan, zoals het wel actie heeft ondernomen tegen de uitstoot van energiecentrales en autoverkeer….. Al moet ik daar wel bij opmerken, dat de inspanningen op dat gebied, net als in de EU, (alweer) totaal ondermaats zijn……

Moet u nagaan, in dit hele verhaal viel niet één keer het woord volksgezondheid, want laten we niet vergeten, dat er jaarlijks miljoenen mensen vroegtijdig, na een meestal akelig ziekbed overlijden, t.g.v. de enorme luchtvervuiling wereldwijd……. Ook Rutte 1 (en 2) ‘scoort goed’ op dit gebied, Nederland behoort tot de smerigste landen in de EU!! Dat is overigens wel een ‘mooie vergelijking’ met ons land, ook in Nederland doen de machthebbers net, of het milieu en de klimaatverandering hen ongelofelijk aan het hart gaat……. Terwijl bijvoorbeeld de maximumsnelheid op de wegen en zelfs 80 kilometerwegen werden verhoogd en wat betreft de maximum snelheid naar 130 km/u., die word nog steeds verhoogd op delen van onze wegen….. Waar een klein land al niet groot in kan zijn!!!

Schaliegas gif legaal in de oceaan gedumpt…..

Leve de schaliegas revolutie! Het zoveelste bewijs, dat de prijs van schaliegas, een keer of duizend te laag is in de VS, blijkt wel uit het feit, dat de EPA in de VS, de schaliegaswinnende oliebedrijven daar, toestemming heeft gegeven, het zwaar vergiftigde afvalwater dat overblijft na het fracken, volgens zeggen 9 miljard gallon (zo’n 3,8 liter maal 9 miljard!!!), in de Stille Oceaan te laten lopen……..

Dan spreek ik nog niet over de grote vervuiling die ondergronds achterblijft, in gebieden die vanwege alle fracken eruit zien als een kale gatenkaas en ‘natuurlijk’ ook bovengronds vervuild achterblijft….. Niet over lullen, na ons de zondvloed, zo hebben ‘we een lekkere goedkope energiebron……’

Nogmaals: leve de schaliegasrevolutie, halleluja amen!!!!
