Steun EU wet waarmee internetreuzen gedwongen zullen worden meer belasting te betalen

Kreeg
vanmorgen een mail van Avaaz, een petitie voor steun aan aan EU
politici die een wet willen invoeren waarmee internetreuzen wel
normaal belasting moeten betalen.

Een
voorbeeld: Amazon maakte in 2017 bijna 200 miljard dollar winst en
betaalde amper belasting over die winst……

Toeval
bestaat niet zegt men wel eens: vanmorgen werd bekend gemaakt dat
Shell, de oliegigant, ondanks de miljarden winsten die het maakt,
geen winstbelasting betaalt, dit door afschrijving van gemaakte kosten op de winst, zoals rente kosten…… 

Op BNR was de neoliberale plork Kavelaars te horen, NB
een ‘professor’ aan de Erasmus universiteit, die stelde dat Shell niets anders doet dan de
belastingregels volgen…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Kavelaars stelde verder dat Shell onder verscherpt toezicht staat en Shell dus niet kan sjoemelen……. 

Alles is prima controleerbaar voor de belasting aldus Kavelaars….. ha! ha! ha! ha! Jammer genoeg is het al jaren geen geheim meer dat de belastingdienst te weinig personeel heeft om bijvoorbeeld zwartspaarders aan te pakken*, reken maar dat men daar al helemaal geen tijd heeft voor de uiterst ingewikkelde boekhouding van Shell……

Daarnaast zijn de kromme belastingregels, die welgestelden en grote bedrijven bevoordelen, opgesteld door politici die lobbyen voor die welgestelden en grote
bedrijven als Shell, ronduit schandalig!! Voorts worden de belastingaangiften van de gewone burgers wel goed gecontroleerd door de belastingdienst….. 

Nogmaals: het is een schande dat we moeten leven met dergelijke belastingregels, immers volgens normale ethische normen zouden dit soort lobbyende politici verantwoordelijk voor die regels, als misdadigers worden gezien, misdadigers die als volksvertegenwoordigers crimineel de belangen
behartigen van welgestelden en grote bedrijven…. ‘Lullig’ maar één van de voorbeelden is ‘onze premier’ Rutte, die nauwe banden onderhoudt met
bedrijven als Unilever, voor wie hij 10 jaar werkte en waarvoor hij zelfs de Nederlandse dividendbelasting wilde afschaffen………

Zoals
gezegd, Avaaz heeft een petitie op poten gezet voor steun aan EU
politici die een eind willen maken aan het grote
belasting ontduiken…… Vergeet niet dat alleen grote Nederlandse
bedrijven op jaarbasis al een slordige 30 miljard aan belasting
ontduiken, geld waarmee we alle schulden ellende waaronder een fiks deel van de grote
onderlaag in onze maatschappij leeft (waaronder veel gehandicapten, chronisch zieken en ouderen), voorgoed kunnen oplossen!!

Intussen bezitten de acht rijkste mannen op onze aarde, mede door de kromme belastingregels, evenveel als de arme helft van de wereldbevolking…….. Me dunkt de hoogste tijd voor een alles omwentelende wereldrevolutie!! (helaas zal dit voorlopig niet gebeuren….)

a global economy that works for all of us, not just CEOs.
About stopping them from pocketing billions
and billions of
dollars that should rightly be paid in taxes and used for education,
health care, and the infrastructure they use to deliver their
products to us. And unlike Robin Hood, this isn’t stealing —
it’s just changing the law to make things a tiny bit more fair.

If
Europe’s Robin Hood bill passes, others will follow. That’s why these
internet giants are doing everything they can to stop it. But if
we can deliver our message to key capitals before a major summit in
just days, insiders say we could tip the balance.

Britse kinderen lijden anno 2018 honger, vooral in de vakanties…….

Hoorde vanmiddag rond 14.15 u. (CET) op BBC Scotland radio dat kinderen in Groot-Brittannië in vakanties honger lijden…….

Buiten de schoolvakanties worden die kinderen schandelijk genoeg gevoed door liefdadigheidsorganisaties en maar ‘mondjesmaat’ door de overheid……. Ofwel de kinderen gaan met een hongergevoel van huis, tot groot verdriet van hun ouders…….

Er wordt nu gepleit voor een tegemoetkoming in de inkomens van de arme ouders (waarvan een fiks aantal zelfs een baan heeft, een heel slecht betaalde zoals je begrijpt…), zodat hun kinderen ook tijdens de schoolvakanties goed gevoed kunnen worden……. (kan je het nog volgen anno 2018…???)

Echter de Tories of beter gezegd de Conservative Party, die al vele jaren een inhumaan neoliberaal beleid voert (dan wel voorstaat in oppositie), dezelfde partij die het onder May voor het zeggen heeft in de landelijke politiek, zijn zwaar tegen extra’s voor arme ouders, daar men plompverloren stelt dat de ouders het extra geld voor zichzelf gebruiken…… Terwijl meerdere wetenschappelijke onderzoeken hebben aangetoond dat het extra geld juist wel naar de kinderen gaat…….

Uiteraard zijn er uitzonderingen, zoals gezinnen met verslaafde ouders, echter die uitzonderingen zouden niet mogen bestaan, immers een verslaafde ouder kan zijn/haar kinderen niet goed opvoeden, op z’n minst zouden die ouders hulp moeten krijgen, of ze zouden uit de ouderlijke macht moeten worden gezet….. Echter ook op die zaken hebben de Tories bezuinigd (alsook eerdere Labourregeringen)…….

Let wel: als kinderen slecht gevoed worden, gaan ook de prestaties op school sterk achteruit en gaat het zelfs ten koste van hun hersencapaciteit….. Bovendien lopen die kinderen een trauma op voor het leven en worden ze gepest door kinderen uit beter gesitueerde gezinnen….. Daarmee worden de rechten van deze kinderen op grove schaal geschonden door dit inhumane beleid…..

Hoe is het gvd allemaal mogelijk in een rijk land als GB en dat anno 2018??!!!

Walgelijk!

Waarom heeft de EU Groot-Brittannië nooit veroordeeld voor dit schunnige beleid, waar kinderen het spreekwoordelijke kind van de rekening zijn?? Blijkbaar heeft men in de EU geen moeite met het afknijpen van de onderlaag en het traumatiseren van kinderen…… Dat belooft niet veel goeds voor de toekomst, wanneer alleen de grote landen het nog voor het zeggen hebben in de EU…. Ook gezien deze zaak zou Nederland uit de EU moeten stappen….

Naast het feit dat de fascistische partijen in de EU een eigen fractie willen oprichten en gezien de groei van deze fascistische partijen (en de PVV) in de EU, bestaat de kans dat de EU op termijn zal worden bestuurd door fascisten……. (de nazi’s uit WOII zouden er hun vingers bij aflikken…..) Voorlopig onderneemt de EU niets tegen het fascisme, anders dan wat kritiek op en geblaas tegen landen als Hongarije en Polen…..

European Assets Trust verhuist ondanks de Brexit van Nederland naar Groot-Brittannië

Ondanks
alle hysterie over de Brexit waardoor bedrijven zouden verhuizen van
Groot-Brittannië naar het vaste land van Europa, blijkt nogmaals
dat het ook anders kan: een beleggingsmaatschappij NB met de naam ‘European Assets Trust’, verhuist haar
kantoor van Nederland naar GB….. (althans als de aandeelhouders akkoord gaan)

Over de
Brexit gesproken, het is wel duidelijk dat het plan May
(Chequers plan, of Chequers deal) niet aanslaat in eigen land, waardoor de kans op een
harde Brexit toeneemt. Mijns inziens is die ook beter voor het Britse volk.
Het plan May zal GB alleen maar enorme bakken belastinggeld kosten. Niet voor
niets ook dat na de ophef die gisteren in GB ontstond nadat men
stelde eruit te zijn, EU politici lieten weten dat het dit akkoord is en mocht men daar in GB anders over beslissen, men de Britten het vel over de oren zal trekken…. En of de EU dat zou
lukken beste bezoeker, is maar zeer de vraag……

Opvallend
wat een kul je ook hoort, zoals die over de visserij >> met het
voorliggende akkoord zou Nederland deels toegang houden tot Britse
visserijgronden, waar men op BNR doodleuk stelde dat daarmee onze
nieuwe haring is gegarandeerd, terwijl deze haring al een paar jaar door
Noorse en Deense vissers wordt geleverd.

Assets Trust wordt op papier Brits

ROTTERDAM
(AFN) – Beleggingsmaatschappij European Assets Trust wil zijn
hoofdkantoor verhuizen van Nederland naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk, om
daarmee ook op papier volledig Brits te worden. Het zogeheten ‘closed
end’ fonds is genoteerd op de beurs in Londen en Amsterdam.

Als
reden voor de verhuizing werd onder meer een versimpeling van de
structuur gegeven. Volgens het fonds zal de aanpassing geen effect
hebben op investeringen en dividendbeleid. Aandeelhouders moeten nog
wel akkoord geven voor de aanpassing.

VS wapenexport in één jaar tijd met 13% gegroeid

Het
beleid van Trump ‘werkt’, de wapenexport zelfs naar dictatoriaal
geregeerde landen als Saoedi-Arabië en de Golfstaten, is in één jaar
tijd (in het jaar eindigend op 30 september jl.) met een schrikbarende 13% gestegen…… Eén en ander als gevolg van het wegwerken van restricties op wapenexport door de fascistische Trump administratie……. (Trump heeft afgelopen week het nationalisme omarmt, terwijl de VS regering al veel trekken vertoonde die niet misstaan in een fascistische staat, is deze administratie met die omarming van Trump volledig neer te zetten als een fascistische regering….)

Dezelfde Trump die de al enorm grote wapenexport nog veel groter wil maken….. (ach ja, het woord ‘groot’ heeft fiks aan ‘waarde’ ingeboet, juist doordat Trump het ‘te onpas en te onpas’ gebruikt….) 

Terwijl
Trump vluchtelingen weigert en zelfs de EU slap vindt dat men
vluchtelingen opneemt (dat NB in veel te kleine aantallen), maken de
wapenfabrieken en de fabrieken in de VS die militaire hardware, ofwel rollend,
varend en vliegend oorlogstuig produceren, mega winsten….. (het zal me verder niet verbazen als ook de wapenindustrie in de EU megawinsten maakt, als gevolg van de VS terreur elders; zo werden een paar oostelijke EU landen gebruikt om wapens te leveren aan IS en andere terreurgroepen, terwijl die wapens werden betaald door de VS…)

Wapens
waarmee enorme aantallen mensen werden en worden vermoord, op zich al
reden voor de vlucht van honderdduizenden mensen….. Om maar te
zwijgen (niet dus) over de zoals zojuist al even aangehaalde verkoop
van wapens aan dictatoriaal geregeerde landen, als Saoedi-Arabië: dit land voert o.a. met VS wapens en
militaire hardware een genocide uit in buurland Jemen…… Vervolgens voorzag
en voorziet S-A de terreurgroepen in Syrië (‘gematigde rebellen’) van
wapens en voertuigen uit o.a. die wapenexport, waar de VS zelf overigens ook wapens leverde en levert aan terreurgroepen……. (zoals Nederland dat ook heeft gedaan en
dat van ons belastinggeld, hier dient een strafrechtelijk onderzoek
naar te worden ingesteld!!)

– US
arms sales to foreign governments rose 13 percent to US$192.3 billion
in the year ending Sept 30, the State Department said on Thursday, a
result of looser restrictions on sales coupled with high-level
efforts to close deals.

US
President Donald Trump wants to make his country, already dominant in
the global weapons trade, an even bigger arms merchant to the world,
US officials have said, despite concerns among human rights and arms
control advocates, Reuters reported.

The
largest US arms contractors, who sell ships, tanks, airplanes,
missiles and other goods to foreign militaries, include Boeing Co,
Lockheed Martin Corp, Raytheon Co, General Dynamics Corp and Northrop
Grumman Corp.

The
increase came in part because the Trump administration rolled out a
new ‘Buy American’ plan in April that relaxed restrictions on
sales while encouraging US officials to take a bigger role in
increasing business overseas for the US weapons industry.

There
are two major ways foreign governments purchase arms from US
companies: direct commercial sales, negotiated between a government
and a company; and foreign military sales, in which a foreign
government works with the Pentagon on a potential deal. Both require
approval by the US government.

Commercial
sales of US military equipment to foreign governments rose 6.6% from
US$128.1 billion to US$136.6 billion in the fiscal year, the State
Department said.

In
October, the government said US foreign military sales rose 33% to
US$55.6 billion in the fiscal year.

Combined,
the total is a 13% year-on-year increase in weapons exports.

Manfred Weber (CSU) de gedroomde fascistische kandidaat van de EVP voor presidentschap Europese Commissie

Ongelofelijk maar desondanks maar al te waar: de fascist Manfred Weber, van de Duitse CSU is op het EVP congres in Helsinki gekozen tot kandidaat voor het presidentschap voor de Europese Commissie…….. Eén van de ‘sterke punten’ van Weber: hij wil het liefst helemaal geen vluchtelingen zien in de EU…

Ofwel men koos een fascist als kandidaat voor de hoogste functie in de Europese commissie, in plaats van de fascistische Hongaarse Fidesz partij uit de EVP te schoppen……. De EVP zou e.e.a. onderzoeken vanwege het neerhalen van de democratie in Hongarije, ‘niet in de laatste plaats’ door haar leider, de fascist Orbán, godbetert de premier van Hongarije die zich meer en meer als dictator ontpopt……… Een zaak die men al vaak heeft beloofd te onderzoeken in de EVP, maar waar telkens weer niets van terechtkomt…….

Het is wel duidelijk: de EVP wil Fidesz in het geheel niet uit de partij zetten, niet alleen daar dit een aanslag op het aantal zetels van de EVP zou zijn, maar ook om niet de steun van fascistische christenen in de EU te verliezen…….

Kortom men heeft er in de EVP voor gekozen een Duitse fascist aan te wijzen als kandidaat, waarmee deze partij, waar het Nederlandse CDA deel van uitmaakt, aangeeft geen probleem met fascisten te hebben………

Beste bezoeker het ging nog verder: men ziet in de EVP Weber als de kandidaat die als wapen tegen populisten (voor het overgrote deel fascisten) moet dienen, dus moet voorkomen dat christenen kiezen voor fascisten……. Het is als oorlogvoeren voor vrede, immers als men zo doorgaat in de EVP is deze partij binnen 10 jaar zelf een populistische fascistenpartij……. Het is zelfs niet ondenkbaar dat de EU binnen 20 jaar door fascisten wordt geleid, daarvoor kan Weber, kandidaat van de grootste EU fractie (de EVP) het pad effenen door de EVP een ‘fascistisch light’ beleid te laten voeren……

PS: CDA’ers van Haersma Buma, de Lange, Omtzigt hadden aanvankelijk bezwaren tegen de koers van Orbán, echter toen hij zich als de kampioen van haat- en angstzaaien tegen/voor vluchtelingen toonde, ging het roer bij deze 3 om en stelde men zich achter dit inhumane fascistische beleid…….. Alsof die vluchtelingen de illegale oorlogen in het thuisland zelf hebben veroorzaakt en niet het westen onder aanvoering van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS met haar terreurknecht de NAVO…….

De EVP? Echte christenen moet je maar denken…….

VS vermoordt Iraniërs met sancties, EU doodstil…….

De VS is bezig om binnenkort nog meer sancties op te leggen aan Iran, het gaat nu niet alleen meer om de Iran deal, maar om een verandering van regering, althans anders zijn de VS sancties niet uit te leggen…….

Het meest schunnige is wel dat de VS de Iraanse autoriteiten verwijdt haar volk te terroriseren, terwijl je daar maar één ‘land’ van kan beschuldigen, de grootste terreurentiteit op onze aarde, de VS zelf!!!

De psychopathische oorlogsmisdadiger Mattis en anderen verdraaien de werkelijkheid op zo’n belachelijk grove schaal dat het net lijkt of Iran haar eigen burgers laat sterven, terwijl de VS de werkelijke dader is……..

Zelfs levensreddende medicijnen zijn nu moeilijk te krijgen in Iran, het is werkelijk om te janken als je de voorbeelden leest in het hieronder opgenomen artikel, geschreven door Caitlin Johnstone.

Hoe is het mogelijk dat EU landen de VS niet al lang in de VN Veiligheidsraad hebben aangeklaagd voor grootschalige terreur??? En hoe is het mogelijk dat de EU Iran niet te hulp snelt……….

Het is te hopen dat het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) ten minste de enorme oorlogsmisdaden inventariseert die werden en worden begaan door de VS en onder die oorlogsmisdaden reken ik tegenwoordig ook de economische oorlogsvoering van de VS tegen landen die haar onwelgevallig zijn, zoals Iran, Venezuela en Nicaragua……… Sancties die in feite nooit de leiding van het betreffende land schaden, maar het volk van dat land, waarmee je deze sancties rustig als misdaad tegen de menselijkheid kan duiden, of zoals gezegd oorlogsmisdaden…….

De hoogste tijd dat de internationale gemeenschap de VS opdraagt haar troepen overal ter wereld terug te trekken, het barbaarse neokoloniale beleid van de VS moet gestopt worden! Bovendien dient men als de sodemieter af te stappen van de dollar als internationaal betaalmiddel (als de VS er financieel zo voor had gestaan, maar dan in de 20er jaren van de vorige eeuw, had men daar, net als destijds in Duitsland, bij wijze van spreken een kruiwagen vol met papiergeld nodig gehad om een brood te kopen…..).

De oorzaak van dat niet ingrijpen en bijvoorbeeld wel terechte sancties op te leggen aan de VS, is puur en alleen te danken aan het feit dat de dollar als internationaal betaalmiddel wordt gebruikt, terwijl de VS in feite meer dan failliet is >> de staatsschuld van de VS is niet meer in cijfers weer te geven……. Vandaar ook dat ons financiële systeem zal instorten als de dollar echt volledig onderuitgaat, iets dat welhaast niet is te voorkomen…… (ondanks dat men dit weet, worden er geen maatregelen genomen, alsof het om een konijn gaat dat in het koplicht van een aanstormende auto verstijft….)

United States government is preparing to implement an additional
level of sanctions against Iran for its refusal to meet a dozen
demands that are so absurdly unreasonable that they have been
called a
regime change policy in all but name.
The sanctions which have already been implemented have already
badly hurt the
Iranian economy, the sting of which is being felt first and foremost
by Iran’s poor and sickly.

In
an article titled “Iran’s
poor to bear brunt of Trump’s oil sanctions”, Financial
Times documents
how poor Iranians are already strained to the breaking point from the
cutbacks they’ve had to make in food and groceries. An article
titled “In
Iran, US sanctions are being felt, with harsher measures to come”
by the Christian
Science Monitor details
difficulties Iranian charities are having getting medicine to sick
children, including chemotherapy treatment, having already run out of
four life-saving drugs. In an article titled “US
fails to shield humanitarian trade with Iran as sanctions loom”, Al
Monitor details
the way humanitarian aid, while ostensibly exempt from the sanctions,
has been severely impacted by their economic aspect because
humanitarian aid costs money. The Wall
Street Journal further
explains the effects of America’s economic warfare on ordinary
Iranian civilians in an article titled “Iran
Moves to Shelter Millions as U.S. Sanctions Bite”.

This
is before the
US implements a new level of attacks upon Iran’s oil industry, a
primary economic lifeline, which is scheduled to begin on November
fifth. If Iran can’t find a way to get around these crushing
sanctions in a significant way, many civilians already stretched far
too thin will be pushed past the breaking point.

And
who is the US government blaming for the consequences of its economic

“The
International Monetary Fund @IMFNews is projecting a 3.6% decline in
#Iran’s economy next year,” tweeted Secretary
of State Mike Pompeo. “That’s what happens when the ruling regime
steals from its people and invests in Assad — instead of
creating jobs for Iranians, they ruin the economy.”

Pompeo
talks about the Iranian people a lot. A recent State
Department release is
packed with lines like “Iran’s actions have made the country a
pariah, much to the despair of its own people”, and “clerics and
officials have wrapped themselves in the cloak of religion while
robbing the Iranian people blind,” and “The United States is
asking every nation that is sick and tired of the Islamic Republic’s
destructive behavior to stand up for the Iranian people.” But Mike
Pompeo does not care about the Iranian people. Plainly.

Sanctions
are so weird. Imagine if the US government had listed twelve
ridiculously extreme demands of Tehran, and then when those demands
weren’t met they launched a few dozen Tomahawk missiles into an
Iranian suburb. And imagine, if you will, what the response would be
if Secretary Pompeo had then issued a tweet saying “Boy, it sure
was awful of the Iranian regime to launch those missiles at its own
civilians!”

He
would never do such a thing, of course, because nobody would buy it.
But for some weird, entirely narrative-based reason, the US
government can get away with killing the same number of civilians by
depriving them of food and medicine and say it’s Iran’s fault for
not bowing to Washington’s twelve demands. The civilians would be
just as dead as they would have been if they were killed by Tomahawk
missiles, and the US government would be just as culpable for their
deaths as they would have been if they’d killed them by missile
strike. We can be absolutely certain that the US government would
acknowledge such economic sanctions as an act of war (which
they unquestionably are)
if any foreign nation ever implemented anything similar against
America. But for some weird, stupid, nonsense reason, the medieval
siege tactic of starving them to death and cutting them off from
supplies is something that can still be blamed on a sovereign nation
for refusing to obey the commands of a foreign government. For some
weird, stupid, nonsense reason, sanctions are the only form of
warfare where it is considered both legal and acceptable to
deliberately target a civilian population with lethal force.

The responses to this Tweet caught me off guard. Thank you for the kind words. But now I feel selfish for writing it. I didn’t want or expect sympathy; I wanted to make a point about the impact of sanctions on Iran — that it’s the ordinary people who suffer. And for what?

This,
by the way, is all coming after the UN’s highest court, the
International Court of Justice (ICJ), ordered the
United States to remove
any impediments to
humanitarian aide in the sanctions that it has implemented, to which
Washington responded by withdrawing
from two international agreements which
could lead to any legally binding rulings by the ICJ. Any other
nation which refuses to comply with UN rulings is branded a rogue
nation by the US-centralized empire and targeted for regime change,
but when the US does exactly the same thing we’re meant to look at
it as perfectly normal and acceptable.

The
US has defended its dismissal of the ICJ ruling by citing the
exemptions it has made for humanitarian aide in its sanctions, with
Secretary Pompeo asserting
the following:

“Existing
exceptions, authorizations, and licensing policies for
humanitarian-related transactions and safety of flight will remain in
effect. The United States has been actively engaged on these issues
without regard to any proceeding before the ICJ. We’re working
closely with the Department of the Treasury to ensure that certain
humanitarian-related transactions involving Iran can and will
continue.”

“Not
only is he not being accurate, he is lying,” Trita Parsi of the
National Iranian American Council told
the Real
News of
Pompeo’s remarks. “The Trump administration has not issued a
single license since they took power. They know quite well that
they’re doing everything to scare banks away from the Iranian
market, which then is affecting the ability for the Iranians to pay
for medicine and medical supplies, even though that is supposedly
exempt. So essentially what they’re saying, hey, we made those
exempt. Yes, but you have targeted the financial system so harshly,
so indiscriminately, so no bank is willing to handle transactions
with Iranian banks. And as a result the Iranians cannot buy medical
supplies, and their medical shortages are a direct result of the
sanctions.”

What
will Secretary Pompeo say when civilians begin dropping dead? Will he
claim that “the price is worth it”, as his predecessor Madeleine
Albright said of
the thousands of Iraqi children killed in sanctions upon Iraq? Will
he cite the constantly
recurring lie that
it is because Iran is the world’s top sponsor of terrorism? Will he
claim that it is because it is somehow wrong for Iran to defend its
ally Syria from the violent jihadist factions who attempted to effect
regime change in Damascus with western backing? Or will he just be
honest, and admit that it’s because Iran has one of the few
governments in the strategically crucial and resource-rich Middle
East which has refused to be absorbed into the blob of the US empire?

In het
hieronder opgenomen artikel geschreven door Zach Boren en Arthur
Neslen op Unearthed, een ‘onafhankelijk’ journalistiek forum dat
‘wordt gefinancierd door Greenpeace donateurs’ (behoorlijk vaag,
kortom een project van Greenpeace, maar goed…), aandacht voor de
totstandkoming in het EU parlement van de verlenging van de vergunning voor het levensgevaarlijke gif glyfosaat, onderdeel van Roundup t.b.v. de landbouw (dus ook voor tuinders) en
dat met een periode van 5 jaar……..

Ongelofelijk
weer dat men in de EU zo speelt met mensenlevens en smerige
gifmengers als Bayer, sinds kort de eigenaar van Monsanto, door laat
gaan met het vergiftigen van de EU consumenten en het verder laten uitsterven van insecten (de laatste 30 jaar met 75%!! Insecten waaronder de grote bestuivers als bijen, zonder wie de mens het kan vergeten…..)…… 

Benieuwd
hoeveel geld er is uitgeloofd door Bayer/Monsanto voor deze beslissing, geld waar men nog
even af moet blijven, totdat men een paar jaar uit de

Irish
PR firm Red Flag effectively mobilised farmers in its ‘freedom to
farm’ campaign

American
agrochemical giant Monsanto paid a public-affairs consultancy up
to €200,000
to set up a ‘grassroots farmers’ operation across Europe to
oppose a prospective EU ban on glyphosate, Unearthed has
learned.

Glyphosate
is a key ingredient in Monsanto’s signature Roundup weedkiller.

Dublin-based
political firm Red
Flag Consulting led
the pro-glyphosate campaign, quietly launching a wide-reaching PR
drive and enlisting the support of thousands of farmers from stands
at agricultural fairs in “the eight most important EU countries.”

In
contemporaneous reviews seen
by Unearthed,
sales representatives working at the booths said that their job
involved distributing “truth-clarification
materials” about
glyphosate, and gathering contact information and signatures.

In
recent promotional literature Red Flag describes how it “won the
single-biggest regulatory and public affairs campaign in the European
Union,” using “non-traditional allies” in an attempt to change
the positions of eight countries in the EU.

“Red
Flag leveraged these efforts on identified targets through media and
direct engagement to ultimately change votes in a key committee in
Brussels to bring about a win for our client,” one brochure says.
The firm did not confirm whether these claims referred to its work on
glyphosate.

The
firm’s campaign was run in tandem with a US consultancy, Lincoln
Strategy, that worked on Donald Trump’s
2016 presidential campaign.

While
Monsanto mostly uses Fleishman Hillard for its PR work in
Brussels, Unearthed has established that they
accepted an approach from Red Flag to orchestrate the influence
drive, which was run at arm’s length from the firm.

Red
Flag’s other big
spending clients include
US biotech company Anitox, which has been described as “extremely
active”
in its support of glyphosate in the EU, and British American
Tobacco (BAT), according
to the EU transparency register.

“Monsanto
must have been desperate to use these methods,” Green Belgium MEP
Bart Staes told Unearthed.

“It
really is a scandal. Sadly, this is fully in line with Monsanto’s
behaviour throughout the whole glyphosate [relicensing] campaign.”

A
spokesperson for Monsanto confirmed to Unearthed that
it –  along with a ”coalition of users and manufacturers of
glyphosate and other plant protection products” – supported the
Red Flag project.

“Thousands
of farmers across Europe have supported this initiative and made
their voices heard in support of maintaining access to this vital for
modern and sustainable agriculture,” the spokesperson added.

Red
Flag’s contribution to the campaign involved setting up entities
such as Agriculture
et Liberte in
France, described by industry insiders as “a grassroots farming
coalition.”

The
firm’s CEO, Karl Brophy, said this was not a lobbying exercise.

Instead
he told Unearthed Red
Flag provided “factual information about the science on glyphosate”
to farmers and other individuals who “elected to be educated” and
who then “made their concerns known in their own voices and by
their own volition.”

Reference
to Agriculture et Liberte’s industry support can be found in a
bulletin point at the bottom of their
website.

But
there is no mention of Red Flag – or its industry funding – on
the group’s twitter
account,
which describes itself as “a group of French farmers who have come
together to protect our way of life and livelihoods,” nor in
its press
coverage.


Unearthed has
identified similar entities in six other EU countries that appear to
be the localised branding in Red Flag’s ‘freedom to farm’
campaign. 

It
includes the names Free to Farm in the UK, Liberta di coltivare in
Italy, Raum für Landwirtschaft in Germany, Libertad para consultar
in Spain, Rolnictwo Dobrej Praktyki in Poland* and Vrijheid om te
Boeren in the Netherlands**.

These
outfits – which are often registered to Red Flag’s Dublin address
and an email account belonging to a Lincoln Strategy staffer – have
appeared or are due to appear at 33
events since the start of 2017.

Brophy
told Unearthed he
does “not recognise a number of the groups you appear to be
referring to,” but declined to elaborate. There had been no attempt
to conceal the involvement of Red Flag or Lincoln Strategy, he said.

“Monsanto
wants it to appear as though farmers are independently speaking out
to support continued use of this chemical, when in reality these
‘farmer’ groups are actually little more than pawns in a public
relations campaign drawn up by its hired spin agents,” said Carey
Gillam, investigative journalist and author of Whitewash,
which details Monsanto’s history and the rise of glyphosate
herbicides.

“It
has used these tactics in countries around the world to try to sway
public opinion in support of its products, to downplay risks to human
health and the environment, and to pressure and harass scientists and
lawmakers who Monsanto perceives as a threat. It is well past time
that these secrets are exposed.”

Red
Flag ran the campaigns with assistance from Lincoln Strategy, whose
northern Europe director Daisy Odabasi was quoted as
representing Agriculture et Liberte in one newspaper article.

Unlike
Red Flag, Lincoln does not have an EU transparency listing.
Lincoln’s staff
email accounts were
used in Red Flag’s campaign as part of its role “providing
logistical and operational support to the project.”

A
Lincoln spokesperson said all of the firm’s campaigns – including
its work in support of clean coal –  “rely solely on sharing
information with genuine citizens and encouraging them to make their
voices heard on topics that are important to them.”

Health
concerns


The
effects of glyphosate on farmers and gardeners who come into contact
with it have been contentious ever since the World Health
Organisation’s agency on cancer labelled
the substance “probably carcinogenic” in
2015.

In
August, a US court ordered
Monsanto to pay $289 million in
damages to a groundskeeper who claimed he contracted Non-Hodgkin’s
Lymphoma from using Roundup, a landmark decision that could trigger
an avalanche of similar verdicts in further cases.

Health
concerns were at the heart of the EU’s apparent reticence to
reauthorise glyphosate, although reports from regulatory agencies
claimed that the chemical was safe.

Ultimately
while the pesticides industry did not succeed in renewing
glyphosate’s 15-year license in Europe – it was cut down to five
years – a complete ban was averted.

In
a lengthy statement supplied to UK
news outlet The
Independent, Brophy
said:

“Red
Flag is an agency with a number of clients in the food and
agriculture sectors and a wide network of contacts in the
agricultural community. We worked to bring a number of our clients
and contacts together in order to help those people who would be most
affected by a potential glyphosate ban – the  farmers who
produce Europe’s food.”

“We
are grateful to several clients for supporting the project.  But
it was the farmers who stood to lose most if an activist-led campaign
to ban glyphosate – flying in the face of science, the position of
all relevant EU regulatory agencies and the position of the European
Commission – was successful.  And it was the farmers who
responded to the threat.

“Last
November, a very large majority of European Union countries voted to
re-authorise glyphosate. We’re proud to have played a small part in
providing the information that was used by many committed individuals
to stand up for their livelihoods, their communities and for the
future of Europe’s food supply.”

Caitlin
Johnstone publiceerde afgelopen zaterdag een artikel waarin ze verder
ingaat op de zuivering van het internet door Facebook en Twitter.
Waar aanvankelijk naar de inhoud van berichten werd gekeken zijn nu
de accounts van o.a. Anti-Media, WSWS (World Socialist Web Site) en
PoliceThePolice volledig verwijderd van deze 2 platforms……..

Ofwel
Facebook en Twitter fungeren als censuuragenten voor de
overheid…… Terecht stelt Johnstone dat de overheid in de VS (en
elders in het westen) nog maar weinig geloofwaardigheid over heeft, het is dan ook zaak dat organisaties als Facebook en Twitter de
functie van censuuragent op zich nemen, immers als de overheid dit
openlijk had gedaan, waren de rapen gaar geweest…….

Het
is echter vrijwel zeker dat de VS overheid platforms als Facebook en
Twitter aanstuurt wat betreft de keus voor te censureren accounts,
ook gezien een conferentie eerder dit jaar, waar WSWS over berichtte
op 5 oktober jl. Het gaat hier om een conferentie van de United
States Special Operations Command, een sectie van het ministerie van
‘Defensie’ (zou het ministerie van Oorlog genoemd moeten worden), die
supervisie heeft over de US Special Forces. De conferentie droeg de
naam ‘Sovereignty in the Information Age’ en ondanks de vage titel,
ging het er tijdens die conferentie over hoe alternatieve nieuws- en
opiniesites te censureren…… Mensen lees ook dat artikel en de

Internet
Censorship Just Took An Unprecedented Leap Forward, And Hardly
Anyone Noticed

While
most indie media was focused on debating the way people talk about
Kanye West and the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi,
an unprecedented escalation in internet censorship took place which
threatens everything we all care about. It received frighteningly
little attention.

After
a massive
purge of
hundreds of politically oriented pages and personal accounts for
“inauthentic behavior”, Facebook rightly received a fair
amount of criticism for the nebulous and hotly disputed basis for
that action. What received relatively little attention was the far
more ominous step which was taken next: within hours of being purged
from Facebook, multiple anti-establishment alternative media sites
had their accounts completely removed from Twitter as well.

As
of this writing I am aware of three large alternative media outlets
which were expelled
from both platforms at
almost the same time: Anti-Media, the Free Thought Project, and
Police the Police, all of whom had millions of followers on Facebook.
Both the Editor-in-Chief of
Anti-Media and its Chief
Creative Officer were
also banned by Twitter, and are being kept from having any new
accounts on that site as well.

“I
unfortunately always felt the day would come when alternative media
would be scrubbed from major social media sites,” Anti-Media’s
Chief Creative Officer S.M. Gibson said in a statement to me.
“Because of that I prepared by having backup accounts years ago.
The fact that those accounts, as well as 3 accounts from individuals
associated with Anti-Media were banned without warning and without
any reason offered by either platform makes me believe this purge was
certainly orchestrated by someone. Who that is I have no idea, but
this attack on information was much more concise and methodical in
silencing truth than most realize or is being reported.”

It
is now clear that there is either (A) some degree of
communication/coordination between Twitter and Facebook about their
respective censorship practices, or (B) information being given to
both Twitter and Facebook by another party regarding targets for
censorship. Either way, it means that there is now some some
mechanism in place linking the censorship of dissident voices across
multiple platforms. We are beginning to see smaller
anti-establishment alternative media outlets cut off from their
audiences by the same sort of coordinated cross-platform silencing
we first
witnessed with Alex Jones in
August.

This
is about as acute a threat to our ability to network and share
information with each other as anything you could possibly imagine.
If new media outlets are beginning to silence dissident voices
together in unison, that means we can see entire alternative media
outlets not just partially silenced but thoroughly silenced, their
ability to grow their audiences and get information out to heavily
populated parts of the internet completely crippled.

This
is huge, this is dangerous, and this is being under-reported. When I
was removed
from Twitter in
August for “abusing”
John McCain,
there was a large
and outraged uproaron
Twitter, and my account was quickly restored
with an apology.
The phenomenon of multiple high-profile alternative media outlets
suddenly being silenced in unison by the two biggest social media
platforms should be generating more outrage
than some ornery Australian blogger losing her Twitter account, not
less. People should be legitimately freaked out by this, because it
affects us all.

Any
time you try to talk about how internet censorship threatens our
ability to get the jackboot of oligarchy off our necks you’ll always
get some guy in your face who’s read one Ayn Rand book and thinks he
knows everything, saying things like “Facebook is a private
company! It can do whatever it wants!” Is it now? Has not
Facebook been inviting
US government-funded groups to
help regulate its operations, vowing on
the Senate
floor to do
more to
facilitate the interests of the US government, deleting accounts at
the direction of the US and Israeli governments,
and handing
the guidance of
its censorship behavior over to the Atlantic Council, which
receives funding from
the US government, the EU, NATO and Gulf states? How “private”
is that? Facebook is a deeply government-entrenched corporation, and
Facebook censorship is just what government censorship looks like in
a corporatist system of government.

Speaking
of the Atlantic Council, it recently published a very
interesting 21-page
document about
a US military conference detailing, in present tense, how Silicon
Valley tech giants are being used to nullify the threat that the new
media landscape poses to the US power establishment.

Of
this document, World
Socialist Website writes
the following:

Enter
the social media companies. The best mechanism for suppressing
oppositional viewpoints and promoting pro-government narratives is
the private sector, in particular “technology giants, including
Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Twitter,” which can “determine
what people see and do not see.” 

Watts
adds, “Fortunately, shifts in the policies of social media
platforms such as Facebook have had significant impact on the type
and quality of the content that is broadcast.” 

The
private sector, therefore, must do the dirty work of the government,
because government propaganda is viewed with suspicion by the
population. “Business and the private sector may not naturally
understand the role they play in combating disinformation, but theirs
is one of the most important…. In the West at least, they have been
thrust into a central role due to the general public’s increased
trust in them as institutions.”

best way to deal with a manipulative sociopath is to point and make a
lot of noise every time they do something weird and creepy. The more

Propaganda
and censorship operates very much the same way. If you are unfamiliar
with the concept of the
Streisand effect,
I encourage you to begin to acquaint yourself with it. Named for an
incident in which Barbara Streisand attempted to suppress online
photographs of her Malibu residence and thereby inadvertently drew
far more attention to them, the Streisand effect describes the way
attempts to hide and censor information can be used to draw more
attention to it if the coverup attracts the interest of the public
eye. Every censor needs to prevent this from happening in order to do
their job effectively; if it looks like removing something from
public view would draw more attention to it, then they cannot
practice censorship in that case.

So
let’s Streisand this thing up, hey? Let’s make a big angry noise
about this new cross-platform escalation in internet censorship, and
let’s make a big angry noise any time anyone makes a move to silence
dissident political speech in the new media environment. Manipulators
can only function in darkness, so let’s never give them any. Anything
they try, we need to make a ton of noise about it. That by itself
would be throwing an enormous stumbling block in their path while we
find new ways to clear a path for more and more networking and
information sharing. These bastards have controlled the narrative for
too long.

Radio1 anti-Russische propaganda n.a.v. de verkiezingen in Bosnië……..

Mitra Nazar is de Balkancorrespondent van de NOS en was als zodanig gistermorgen rond 8.15 te horen in het Radio1 Journaal. Er zijn verkiezingen gehouden in Bosnië en Nazar werd gevraagd of dat land nu kan toetreden tot de EU.

Nee, dat kan volgens Nazar niet daar de drie etnische groepen in Bosnië niet samenwerken (en deze uitspraak gaat wel op voor het eufemisme van de maand!!) er wordt langs etnische lijnen gestemd, zo klonk het zéééér interessant uit de mond van deze Balkan koekenbakker.

Nazar vervolgde met te zeggen dat de EU landen als Bosnië er wel bij wil hebben om de invloed van Rusland op de Balkan tegen te gaan……… Niet dat Nazar voorbeelden van deze uiterst gevaarlijke Russische invloed op de Balkan kan geven, nee hij herhaalt ‘gewoon totaal onafhankelijk’ wat Stoltenberg van terreurorganisatie NAVO in opdracht van de VS over de Balkan heeft gezegd……

Nazar was in gesprek met presentator brekebeen van den Berg, een sufferd die zelfs als hij zaken moet oplepelen van zijn computerscherm, nog fouten maakt en amper of niet luistert naar wat hem gezegd wordt, zodat je in bijna elk gesprek dat ergens over gaat (daar is een groot gebrek aan bij de NOS) hem wel één zaak hoort vragen, die zijn gast of collega net opnoemde…… Van den Berg heeft uiteraard niet even aan Nazar gevraagd of de EU bevolking wel blij is met een uitbreiding van landen die veelal zwaar corrupt zijn en die bij het minste of geringste financieel dreigen om te vallen…….

‘Maar goed’ Rusland werd alweer gedemoniseerd door een NOS medewerker, terwijl de NOS stelt een onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde te zijn……. Moet ook toegeven dat ik nog amper naar die zender luister, veel te veel onzinnig gezeur over sport en daadwerkelijke uitzending van wedstrijden (terwijl elke echte sportfanaat dan naar de tv kijkt), oeverloos gelul over non-onderwerpen en veel te veel (vooral suffe) muziek waar je niet vrolijk van wordt…… Uiteraard nog aangevuld met figuren die voor een groot deel liegen dat het gedrukt staat als het bijvoorbeeld over Rusland, Syrië, Iran, Venezuela, Israël en de Palestijnen gaat……

Radio1? Staatspropaganda van een regering die grootschalige terreur steunde in Syrië en zelf hielp bij het uitoefenen van terreur in meerdere landen, waaronder Irak en Libië!!

Timmermans (PvdA EU) maakt zich zorgen: Roemenië verandert grondwet in pro-fascistisch gereedschap tegen het homohuwelijk….

In Roemenië is een referendum gaande voor het veranderen van het grondwetsartikel over het huwelijk. Nu staat daar nog te lezen dat partners het recht hebben om te trouwen, dit moet veranderd worden in alleen partners van het verschillende geslacht….. Ofwel: dit is een grondwetswijziging die een eventueel homohuwelijk onmogelijk moet maken…….

Roemenië is een EU-lidstaat en het is daarom totaal ongeloofwaardig dat men niet ingrijpt in Brussel…… De mislukte PvdA sierdrol Timmermans heeft laten weten dat hij zich zorgen maakt en geen middel onbenut zal laten mocht deze grondwetswijziging wordt goedgekeurd, vandaar dat hij liet weten desnoods naar het Europees Hof van Justitie te zullen stappen……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Timmermans blijft maar dreigen met actie, zoals tegen de fascistische EU lidstaten Hongarije en Polen, maar daar blijft het dan ook bij, omdat hij en de rest van de topgraaiers in Brussel als de dood zijn dat staten zich zullen terugtrekken uit de EU……..

De premier van Roemenië, Vasilica Dancila, is NB van de ‘sociaaldemocratische’ PSD, ofwel een collega partijlid van Timmermans in de ‘sociaaldemocratische’ EU fractie. Zij heeft laten weten niet onder de indruk te zijn van de woorden die Timmermans gebruikt en zoals je kon lezen, niet onterecht, immers blaffende honden als Timmermans bijten niet……

De EU had al lang gelden moeten optreden tegen de fascistische Fidesz van Orbán in Hongarije, de EU fractie van Fidesz is de EVP en deze EU fractie heeft meermaals laten weten onderzoek te laten doen naar het regeringsbeleid van Orbán, maar onderneemt geen actie…… Ook CDA voorzitter van Aersma Buma had het gore lef te zeggen dat zijn partij de situatie in Hongarije nauwlettend in de gaten houdt, echter actie ondernemen na de zoveelste schending van mensenrechten en de fascismisering van de Hongaarse maatschappij, is er niet bij…….

De EVP is al jaren de grootste fractie in de EU, waar andere Oost-Europese partijen er wat betreft mensenrechten en vluchtelingen er amper andere denkbeelden op na houden dan de Fidesz, de PSD, of de fascistische PiS in Polen…… Kortom met de opkomst en verkiezingswinsten van fascisten uit andere EU landen zoals de PVV, groeit het fascisme in het EU parlement langzaam maar zeker…… Vandaar nog maar eens het volgende: NEXIT NU!! Voordat het te laat is en we door een fascistische EU worden geregeerd…….

Timmermans? Die heeft volledig ten overvloede nog eens laten zien een enorme flapdrol te zijn!

PS: heb ik het niet eens gehad over de groeiende homovervolging door psychopathische imbecielen in Oost-Europa…….. (daar schrijft men liever niet over in de reguliere westerse media, behalve als dit onderwerp in combinatie met Rusland aan de orde komt, dan kunnen de ‘chocolade letters’ niet groot genoeg zijn……)
