De
laatste 2 weken zijn er 3 zwarte mannen gevonden die werden vermoord middels ophanging
aan bomen, ofwel een ‘lynchpartij à la lettre’, zoals zwarte mensen
al sinds de slavernij werden opgeknoopt als witte psychopathische smeerlappen daar
simpelweg zin in hadden.
De
politie van New York en Los Angeles hebben deze 3 moorden,
zonder enig onderzoek afgedaan als suïcides…… Ook zouden
er geen camerabeelden van de gebeurtenissen voorhanden zijn, terwijl bij
één van die moorden zelfs 4 camera’s ‘moeten hebben gezien’ wat
daar is gebeurd…..

Harsch, Robert Fuller en Dominique Alexander waren mensen die een gelukkig
gezinsleven hadden, geliefd waren bij hun families en die dromen en ambities hadden, ofwel mannen
die geen enkele reden hadden om zich het leven te benemen…….

Vanmorgen werd bekend gemaakt dat de gekleurde IndyCar coureur Bubba Wallace een strop vond in zijn garagebox op een circuit, het is wel duidelijk dat de reden voor deze doodsbedreiging zijn verzet is tegen het gebruik van de Confederate of Rebel Flag die veelvuldig wordt gebruikt tijdens die races……
Rebel Flag, een vlag die voor onderdrukking en dood van gekleurde mensen staat
Deze vlag werd gebruikt door de staten die tegen afschaffing van de slavernij waren en die daarmee voor de onderdrukking waren van de zwarte bevolking in de VS, staten waar de witte bevolking in meerderheid nog achter deze barbaarse wantoestanden staat….. (deze staten wilden zich onttrekken aan de afschaffing van de slavernij, de belangrijkste reden voor de burgeroorlog in de VS)
Bovendien loopt Wallace met een shirt waarop te lezen staat: ‘I can’t breathe’, de woorden die George Floyd sprak ten tijde dat hij werd vermoord door een politieagent, een moord die minutenlang duurde…… Daarnaast staat op de raceauto van Wallace te lezen: Black Lives Matter. Opvallend hoe moeilijk het was om vanmorgen informatie over Wallace te vinden op het net……. Ach ja, een gekleurde coureur, ‘wie kan zich daar nu druk om maken….??’
Het
Care2 team heeft een petitie opgesteld waarmee men de autoriteiten
oproept de ‘lynchmoorden’ te onderzoeken. Lees en teken deze petitie ajb en
geeft het door, het moet afgelopen zijn met discriminatie van zwarten
en andere gekleurde mensen, discriminatie die inderdaad zover gaat
dat men deze mensen vermoordt……. Het is juist van belang te tekenen daar ook in ons land een grote groep achter de discriminatie van gekleurden staat, waaronder dan ‘uiteraard’ ook Marokkanen en andere Noord-Afrikaanse mensen vallen….

Verder houdt de Nederlandse politie zich nog steeds bezig met etnische profilering en werd Mitch Henriquez een paar jaar geleden vermoord door de politie, als bij Floyd een moord middels de nekklem en die ook bij de moord op Henriquez minutenlang duurde…… (voorts werd Henriquez geslagen en met pepperspray in het gezicht gespoten….) Uiteindelijk werd één agent veroordeeld tot een half jaar voorwaardelijk en een ontzetting uit het beroep voor zeggen en schrijven 1 jaar…… Althans dat laatste meende ik te weten, echter het hof vond ontzetting uit zijn ambt als agent niet nodig…… (schande!!!) De nekklem is ondanks alles nog steeds toegestaan in ons land, hoe is het gvd mogelijk??!!!

White Americans are increasingly
waking up to the reality of racist police brutality, and now we’re
being faced with yet another terrible realization: that
the evil of lynchings isn’t confined to the past.In the last two weeks,
three Black men have been found dead in public areas, their corpses
dangling from ropes strung up in trees.
The symbolism of using a noose to hang African Americans shouldn’t be
lost on anyone — this
is directly related to hundreds of years of terror that have been
inflicted on Black people.
Yet police near Los Angeles and in New York don’t seem to care about
that.
In fact, in all three cases,
officials have jumped to label the deaths as “suicides” — before autopsies had even
been performed. In one
case, police even lied about there being “no security cameras”
nearby that could have recorded the murder, when in fact at least
four existed. Malcolm
Harsch, Robert Fuller, and Dominique Alexander all had full lives
ahead of them. They
had families who loved them, dreams, and aspirations. Now all three
are dead, and the police have been reluctant to take their hangings
seriously. Sign
the petition to demand that police investigate these men’s deaths as
homicides, and that the U.S. Department of Justice review them as
probable hate crimes!

Naar aanleding van de gruwelijke moord op George Floyd en onnoemelijk veel andere gekleurde VS burgers in het (ook recente) verleden: politie VS schiet, vermoordt en
zet meer mensen gevangen dan andere ontwikkelde landen aldus CNN dat met ‘de
cijfers’ komt. Cijfers die belachelijk genoeg niet zijn gebaseerd op gegevens van de politie in de VS, daar die niet bijhoudt hoeveel burgers er worden vermoord door haar personeel……. (wel houdt de poltie bij hoeveel mensen er volgens de politie terecht werden vermoord door agenten; moet je nagaan……)
In het hieronder opgenomen artikel, zoals je hiervoor kon lezen, ook aandacht voor de 2,2 miljoen gevangenen die de VS ‘rijk is’, in verhouding worden daar veel meer gekleurde mensen gevangen gezet dan die van de witte meerderheid…. (en dit nog buiten de door ICE gavengen gezette vluchtelingen en kinderen van vluchtelingen, die nog steeds apart gevangen worden gezet….) Het gevangenissysteem in de VS wordt vooral bestuurt door een beursgenoteerd bedrijf dat belang heeft bij zoveel mogelijk gevangenen en lullig genoeg heeft dit bedrijf een machtige lobby in Washington……

police shoot, kill and imprison more people than other developed
countries. Here’s the data
That’s the message
from many of the protesters who have filled American cities for
nearly two weeks, demanding justice for the death of George Floyd and
seeking to end a litany of police killings of black Americans.
The protests have
rippled across the United States and throughout the world, with
activists streaming through the streets of many
capital cities in solidarity with the movement.
Floyd was just one of
the many Americans killed by police officers each year. But in other
developed countries, such incidents are rare.
Statistical
comparisons show that police in the US typically shoot, arrest and
imprison more people than similarly developed nations.
Each
nation listed below either accompanies the US in the G7 group of the
world’s most advanced economies, or is ranked similarly on global
wealth, freedom and democracy indexes. But when it comes to policing
and criminal justice, the US is a noticeable outlier, and black
Americans are disproportionately affected.
Data
on arrests, deaths and prison populations do not exist uniformly
across developed countries, so it can be difficult to pinpoint
exactly how the US fares in comparison to every nation. For instance,
it is impossible to know exactly how many people die at the hands of
police officers in the US each year: no single, nationwide database
that contains such information exists.
“We can’t have an
informed discussion, because we don’t have data,” former FBI
Director James Comey told the House Judiciary Committee in 2015.
“People have data about who went to a movie last weekend … and
I cannot tell you how many people were shot by police in the United
States last month, last year, or anything about the demographics. And
that’s a very bad place to be.”
We are therefore
forced to rely on estimates — but even they paint a stark picture.
A media
review by the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) found a total of
1,348 potential arrest-related deaths in the ten months from June
2015 through March 2016 — an average of 135 deaths per month, or
just over 4 per day. (The review excludes deaths under the
jurisdiction of federal and tribal law enforcement, and the BJS
acknowledged it does not provide a complete picture.)
By comparison, only 13
people in the UK died in or following police custody in the closest
time period, according to the country’s police
watchdog. In Australia, 21 deaths occurred in police custody or
custody-related operations in 2015/16. Those measures are the most
accurate comparison to the US’s figure of arrest-related deaths, according
to the UK Home Office. The UK’s figure does not include every death
that occurred following police contact.
American
police also shoot more people than forces in similarly developed
countries.
The
FBI recorded
that 407 people were shot in an act of “justifiable homicide”
by a police officer in 2018, a decline on previous years. But
homicides ruled justifiable do not capture every police killing, and
the FBI’s numbers are derided by many human rights groups and news
organizations which have collected far higher figures. The Washington
Post counted 1,004 people fatally shot by police in 2019, for
instance, while the group Mapping
Police Violence tallied 1,099.
Comey’s comments to
the House Judiciary Committee illustrate the FBI’s own acceptance
that their number does not tell the full story. Nonetheless, even the
FBI’s figure dramatically dwarfs that of many other countries, where
police shootings are highly isolated incidents.
And police in New
Zealand and the UK (except Northern Ireland) do not routinely carry
firearms.
Canada may most
closely follow the US among G7 countries. Official data is only
collected when an officer is charged, but an analysis by CNN
affiliate CBC
found 461 fatal police encounters between 2000 and 2017.

Americans
are also more likely to be arrested or jailed than their peers
worldwide.
A
total of 10,310,960 arrests were made in the US in 2018 — that’s one
arrest made per every 32 American citizens. Those figures give the US
a far higher arrest rate than the UK or Australia, among others. Of
those confronted or arrested by police, black Americans are more
likely to be subjected to force — a key complaint of the protesters
marching across the US.
Police
officers are more likely to use force on black Americans — and, according
to a 2016 study published in the American Journal of Health,
black men are nearly three times more likely than white men to be
killed by police intervention. Comparable figures for other countries
are not readily available.
In
general, more Americans are subjected to the cogs of the criminal
justice system than in many other countries; and more end up in
prison, too.
The US has the largest
prison population in the world, as well as the largest incarceration
rate per capita, according to World
Prison Brief — a London-based initiative that counts inmate
populations around the world annually.
Rates are high across
the country. If every US state were counted as a country, the 31
countries with the highest incarceration rates in the world would all
be US states, according to the Prison
Policy Initiative (PPI). Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi all have
incarceration rates of over 1,000, meaning more than one in a hundred
people in those states were prisoners in 2018. By comparison, the
highest incarceration rate outside the US is in El Salvador, where
614 people per 100,000 are prisoners, according to the Prison Policy
Initiative.
Black
Americans make up a third of the US prison population, despite only
making up around an eighth of the country’s total population.
The UK and Canada
suffer similar issues, but not on the scale that the United States
does.
The available data
paints a clear and concerning picture — and explains why policing
and justice reform have been rallying cries of protesters for so
long.

Dat personeelstekort is ook nog eens fiks aangewakkerd door Rutte 2 (hoofdverantwoordelijken: Rutte van de VVD en Asscher van de PvdA) die maar liefst 75.000 zorgkrachten op straat hebben gezet….. En dan vindt men ook nog eens dat de Corona-aanpak van Rutte zo geweldig is……
Fox
heeft met fake news (nepnieuws) over bijvoorbeeld de protesten in
Seattle, de weg vrijgemaakt voor Trump om te dreigen militairen in te
zetten om de stad terug te nemen van ‘anarchistisch tuig’ onder de
noemer Antifa….. Dreigen met militairen inzet op de burgerbevolking in de VS is daar als vloeken in de kerk. Terwijl de protesten volledig te begrijpen waren en
alles behalve gewelddadig waren…. Wat betreft Antifa is er geen
bewijs dat zij de demonstraties en rellen organiseerden (en organiseren), of zelfs een
hoofdrol speelden en spelen zoals men telkens weer durft te stellen in de media, Antifa is dan ook geen centraal
geleide organisatie….. Fox News heeft moedwillig beelden van eerdere
protesten gebruikt om de situatie in Seattle als uiterst gewelddadig voor te
stellen…..
Een deel
van Seattle werd door burgers tot politievrij gebied verklaard,
volgens Cunningham, de schrijver van het artikel hieronder, is dit
een logische stap, daar de politie in de VS gemiddeld 1.000 mensen per jaar
doodt, ofwel vermoordt en men het eindelijk spuugzat is dat de
politie zich gedraagt als een terreurorganisatie (mijn woorden, maar
daar komt het wel op neer). De politie van Seattle heeft een deëscalerend
beleid gevoerd wat betreft de protesten en dat met succes….. Intussen hebben de inwoners van dat politievrije gebied getoond dat ze het prima afkunnen zonder de politie. (bijzonder hoopgevend!)
Fox heeft
intussen excuses aangeboden voor het brengen van fake news en begeleidende fake beelden, beelden van eerdere rellen, echter
zonder dat dit tot enige reactie bij Trump leidde, die gewoon blijft volhouden dat
Seattle in handen is gevallen van ‘anarchistisch tuig…….’
Cunningham
concludeert wellicht terecht dat Trump en Fox uitzijn op een militaire coup, dit vanwege de uitspraak van Trump dat de
burgemeester Seattle de stad moet terugnemen van ‘domestic terrorists’, ofwel van plaatselijke terroristen en als deze dit niet doet, hij de stad zal terugnemen
(met militairen)…….. Vergeet niet dat Trump ook al een enorm grote bek had over protesten in andere steden van de VS (vooral als zij door Democraten worden bestuurd)…..
Trump stelde eerder een staatsgreep van deep state tegen hem te verwachten, daarbij kwam hij weer met de riedel van fake news gebracht door de massamedia, fake news waarmee hij zou zijn gedemoniseerd*, echter ook nu weer blijken vooral Trump en ‘zijn mediaorgaan’ Fox fake news te brengen, met het doel militairen op de straten van de VS in te zetten…… (wat voor veel VS burgers al gelijkstaat aan een coup…..)

Clearing House”
– President Trump’s favorite news channel Fox has been caught
out falsifying
protests in Seattle, giving the distorted impression that the city is
overrun by armed anarchists. That conveniently set Trump off on a
rant in which he threatened to send in military forces to “take
back” the city from “domestic terrorists”.
Trump and hawkish
Republican figures have repeatedly
toyed with the idea of “sending the troops in” to quell
demonstrations that have engulfed the U.S. over the past month since
the horrific killing by police officers of black man George Floyd in
Minneapolis on May 25.
That has, in turn, led
to an outcry that the president is attempting to violate
the country’s laws by threatening to deploy federal troops to do
policing work which would normally fall under the authority of the
individual states. Trump is also accused
of inciting violence by fomenting fears over national security, fears
which are exaggerated given the generally peaceful nature of protests
against police violence and racism.
In a remarkable sign
of the constitutionally explosive situation, the Pentagon’s top
military commander General Mark Milley recently expressed regret
about Trump’s politicization of the nation’s armed forces. Other
former military leaders have weighed
in similarly. The tensions reflect tacit concerns that Trump is
assuming dictatorial powers. Democrat presidential rival Joe Biden
got in on the act by making an extraordinary statement
in which he said that he was confident the Pentagon would intervene
to evict Trump from the White House, if the incumbent tried to defy
the electorate in November. Even the public contemplation of such a
scenario seems a bizarre acknowledgement of how far things have gone
awry in U.S. politics.
That’s why Fox News’
fakery over the Seattle protests takes on an even more sinister
aspect. Last week, the Murdoch-owned, pro-Trump channel published
photoshopped images of armed protesters purportedly taking over
Seattle. It also attributed scenes of burning buildings from previous
unrest as if they were unfolding at the same time as the alleged
armed insurrectionists.
Seattle, the most
populous city in Washington state on the U.S.’ west coast, has seen
a significant popular demonstration against police violence, whereby
a downtown area has been declared a “cop-free zone”. The city’s
police decided to deescalate confrontation that erupted after the
killing of Floyd, by unilaterally withdrawing from the precinct.
Citizens have formed a “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ).
They are calling for “defunding” of the police budget and more
spending on social services. The same demand has been made elsewhere
by other cities and states.
What the Seattle
protest has dramatically shown is that heavy police power is not
required for law and order to prevail. Most reports
have characterized the Seattle civilian occupation as largely
peaceful, multiracial and a manifestation of people power. Where it
will lead to and what it will achieve in terms of policing in the
future is anybody’s guess right now.
But already the
Seattle citizens have won the argument that U.S. policing is out of
control in terms of its militarized operation and use of excessive
lethal force, especially against African-Americans and other
minorities. Some 1,000 people are shot dead every year in the U.S. by
police officers.
The counter-narrative
put out by Trump and his ilk is that “defunding” means scrapping
police forces altogether and leaving the country at the mercy of
criminals and anarchists.
This fear-mongering paints an apocalyptic
meltdown of American society. It is a favorite trope of elites and
fascists whose depiction of society is one teetering on barbarian
masses running amok, rather than trusting in the democratic
cooperation between people to better organize society.
Fox News was forced
into making an apology and retraction for its deliberate
falsification over events in Seattle after local paper, The Seattle
Times, investigated
the images.
However, that admission did not stop Trump from telling
his millions of followers on Twitter that Seattle was being ransacked
by “domestic terrorists”.
Addressing the city
mayor and state governor, Trump fumed: “Take back your city NOW. If
you don’t do it, I will. These ugly Anarchists must be stopped
IMMEDIATELY.”
He may not have
specified military force, but the implication is unavoidable. After
all, Trump has previously threatened to send in combat troops to end
other protests which he has also claimed have been orchestrated by
“Antifa” (a loose network of anti-fascist activists).
Seattle mayor Jenny
Durkan hit
back, advising Trump to “go back to your bunker”. She added:
“It’s not terrorism. It’s patriotism. We do not need anyone,
including the president, to try to sow further divide, further
mistrust and misinformation.”
Federal security
organizations have found
there is negligible involvement of “Antifa” in nationwide
protests. The peaceful takeover of Seattle’s Capitol Hill is also
not connected to such groups. There have been reports of an armed man
appearing to be a protester in the city. Be that as it may, it is
nowhere near reflecting the scenario painted by Fox and its most
prominent subscriber of an armed insurrection and mob rule.
Irony abounds. Trump
has made “fake news” a signature soundbite as if he is the sole
victim of it. He also has claimed that his presidency is in danger of
falling to a coup plotted by the deep state. But the Seattle episode
shows there is no bigger peddler of fake news than Trump and his Fox
friends. And if they could get away with it, this White House would
be ordering federal troops to round up civilians exercising their
democratic right to protest against police violence. Trump is the one
sailing close to a fascist coup.

Afgelopen vrijdag werd Rayshard Brooks terwijl hij wegrende van
een politieagent, in de rug geschoten, hij zou een direct gevaar
vormen voor de 2 agenten die hem aan een ademtest wilden onderwerpen,
puur en alleen omdat hij ‘s morgens vroeg slapend werd
aangetroffen op een parkeerterrein van een Wendy’s filiaal…..
De
agenten beweerden dat hij een direct gevaar vormde daar hij een taser
van één van de agenten afnam en die tijdens zijn vlucht ‘op hen
richtte’. Weet niet hoe het met jou zit, maar als ik wegren en
probeer een wapen te richten op degenen die achter me loopt, terwijl
ik mijn ogen gericht moet houden op het vluchtpad en eventuele
obstakels, is het praktisch onmogelijk iemand te treffen, althans met
een pistool…. Een taser is bovendien een korte afstandswapen en anders dan bij
een pistool moet je dan dichtbij iemand zijn om deze te
kunnen raken, echter uit beelden blijkt dat Brooks te ver van de
agenten verwijderd was om van een echte bedreiging te kunnen
spreken….. Volgens de politie kon men Brooks niet laten lopen met een wapen (de taser) van de politie, terwijl je in de VS als particulier ook zo’n wapen kan en mag kopen……
Kortom
de agent die Brooks vermoordde heeft dat doelbewust gedaan en
heeft daarna geprobeerd om de taser als excuus te gebruiken voor het vermoorden
van een gekleurde burger……. Kortom alweer een gekleurde burger om niets vermoord
door de politie…….
Intussen
is ten overvloede gebleken dat tijdens recente verkiezingen in de VS het de
gekleurde burgers uitermate moeilijk werd gemaakt om te stemmen en velen daadwerkelijk hun stem niet konden uitbrengen….

in Georgia is verlopen. Georgia’s primary election
on Tuesday was an absolute disaster.
Four-hour-long lines.
Malfunctioning voting machines. Tens of thousands of absentee ballots
“lost” in the mail.1,2 It was so bad that there have
been calls for United Nations elections monitors to step in.3
And as usual, these
problems were worse in majority Black precincts.4
Georgia’s voting disaster is being
called a “giant warning siren” for what could happen in
November.5 If Congress doesn’t act now, millions of voters
could be disenfranchised or forced to choose between their health and
their civic duty.
Once
the coronavirus pandemic began, Georgia’s election officials asked
voters repeatedly to request absentee ballots in order to alleviate
pressure on understaffed polling places. The
voters complied with
more than 1.5 million requests for mail-in ballots.6
But the state didn’t hold up its
end of the bargain. More than 60,000 people hadn’t received their
ballots by the last days before the day of the primary, and those who
did were told to return the ballots in envelopes that didn’t exist,
along with other confusing instructions.7,8
On the day of the election, the
state implemented new voting machines in some districts—machines
that experts said were not ready to be deployed—which immediately
malfunctioned.9Polling places in the
Atlanta metro area—a section of Georgia that is predominantly
people of color—were understaffed and unprepared for the people
needing to vote in person, while polling places in whiter, richer
areas had fewer problems.10
Social media was flooded with pictures of hours-long lines in the
Atlanta area, while other places had no lines at all.11
As former gubernatorial candidate
Stacey Abrams said, “It is a disaster that was very preventable,
emblematic of the deeply systemic issues” Georgia has.12
But it’s clear that Georgia’s leadership has no interest in
preventing these failures.
It’s not just Georgia whose
election suffered during the primary. In Pennsylvania, thousands of
voters were sent the wrong ballot. Maryland had outdated registration
lists. Washington, DC, wasn’t able to fulfill many absentee ballot
requests and had fewer than 15% of its polling places open due to the
coronavirus.13
Experts are predicting a second
wave of the coronavirus in the fall, right around the general
election.14 If we want every state to have the mandate and
the resources for a successful vote-by-mail program and give everyone
a chance to have their voices heard in November, Congress must pass a
nationwide vote-by-mail law with the next coronavirus bill. More than
100,000 Demand Progress members have emailed Congress asking for a
vote-by-mail law, and now we’re going to step up our campaign.

A
black man named Rayshard Brooks was recently killed by an Atlanta
police officer who shot
him in the back
while he was attempting to run away.
Video
footage from the
police bodycam
and a
nearby witness makes
it clear that Brooks resisted arrest after failing a breathalyzer
test when police approached him sleeping in his car at a Wendy’s
parking lot, punching an officer and taking a taser the police had
attempted to use on him before trying to flee the scene. Video
footage from the parking lot makes
it clear that Brooks was running away, and, without ceasing to run,
pointed the taser at police behind him, at which point he was shot
twice in the back by an officer named
Garrett Rolfe.
New video released by the GBI shows the moment #Atlanta police shot and killed #RayshardBrooks in the parking lot of a Wendy’s. Police say Rayshard Brooks grabbed a taser and pointed it at police before an officer fired shots.
There
is no rational defense of this shooting. If someone is running away
from you with a short-range weapon, it is literally impossible for
them to pose an imminent threat to you. Just allowing Brooks to run
out of the range of the taser, as he was already trying to do, would
have nullified any potential threat to either of the two officers on
the scene, because it would have been literally impossible for Brooks
to tase them while continuing to run in the direction he was running.
This
indisputable and self-evident fact hasn’t stopped people from
bleating moronic police apologia in my social media notifications
since the shooting occurred.
They
claim Brooks could have tased an officer and taken his gun (again,
let Brooks take himself out of taser range and there’s exactly zero
risk of this happening).
They
claim they couldn’t just let a “dangerous” criminal run
around with a police weapon (it’s a taser; you can buy them at
Walmart. What’s he going to do? Go on a mass tasing rampage?).
They
claim the cop had to execute Brooks because he posed a “danger
to society” (it is not a cop’s job to act as judge, jury and
executioner in determining whether someone poses a general threat to
society; that’s what the courts are for).
They
claim if you punch a cop you deserve whatever you get (believing,
because they are authority-worshipping bootlickers, that a cop being
punched is worse than a civilian being killed by gunfire).
They
claim if you don’t follow police instructions then of course you’re
at risk of being killed (yes, police doing inexcusably brutal things
is the problem that people are trying to address here).
Even
leaving aside any debate about policing as it exists in America
today, there was absolutely no excuse for Rolfe’s behavior. They had
all of Brooks’ information. They had his car. They knew where he
lives. They could have followed him in their car and called for
backup. They could have gone in with backup to arrest him later.
But
Rolfe decided to kill. After watching all these protests against
police brutality raging throughout his country since the murder of
George Floyd, after being confronted with with all the public outrage
about police killing black men day after day in news headline after
news headline, after his society forced him to contemplate police
violence and his role in it, Garrett Rolfe still decided to kill.
After all that, he watched a black man running away from him, posing
no threat to him whatsoever, and he decided to kill.
The
fact that cops are so thoroughly inoculated against public demand
that they change their behavior makes a complete farce of the decoy
police “reform” agenda that establishment narrative
managers have been actively trying to corral the current protest
movement into to kill their support for police abolishment.
Let me pick up on what @staceyabrams just said. #DefundThePolice slogan is being used to divide us. She called for transformation of police, that’s much stronger than just reform but not distracting like defunding. #TransformThePolice is appealing to most people & sounds strong.
There’s
a feud going on in America’s new protest movement right now between
those who wish to abolish, defund, dismantle, and/or disarm the
police, and those who want to “reform” or “transform”
the police. The former are actually pushing for a revolutionary
change which actually pushes back against abusive power structures
and calls for the creation of a radically different social paradigm,
while the latter wants to keep policing institutions in their irredeemably
corrupt state and
add more funding for “de-escalation” training seminars
where grown adults are told not to commit gratuitous acts of
violence.
Training
seminars which, it turns out, Officer Garrett Rolfe had just
completed.
“According
to the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, Rolfe
had recently received use of force training,” reports
Atlanta news outlet AJC. “On April 24, he took a nine-hour
course on de-escalation options, his record shows. And on Jan. 9,
Rolfe was trained on the use of deadly force at the DeKalb County
police academy.”
And
yet you’ve got fauxgressive establishment narrative managers like
Cenk Uygur promoting
the reform agenda and
calling calls to defund the police “distracting”.
I wrote
the other day
that “if these protests end it won’t be because tyrants in the
Republican Party like Donald Trump and Tom Cotton succeeded in making
the case for beating them into silence with the US military. It will
be because liberal manipulators succeeded in co-opting and stagnating
its momentum.” This is exactly the sort of thing I was talking
about.

suggests protesters pack it up, in light of new reforms: “People are
still out protesting. You don’t need to protest. You won. You won. You
accomplished your goal. Society says, you’re right. The police need
systemic reform.”
People
who claim these protests are the result of some kind of psyop often
cite the fact that they’re being supported by establishment liberals,
mainstream media, and giant corporations, but this misses a very
important distinction in the dynamic that is at play here. While it
is true that these institutions have been expressing general support
for the demonstrations and the idea that black lives matter, what
absolutely none of them have been doing is supporting the defunding
or abolishment of America’s police force. None of the empire’s
ruling elites support this.
The
reason you are seeing manipulation and attempts at co-option in this
new movement is because that is exactly what’s happening. But it
isn’t what’s driving
the enthusiasm behind the demonstrations. Rather, you are seeing an
attempted hijacking of an actual revolutionary agenda that actually
challenges actual power institutions (including increasingly common
attempts to manipulate the narrative by claiming demands to defund
and abolish are actually just calls for reform).
The
widespread call to abolish America’s police state, an integral
part of the glue
which holds the US-centralized empire together, is revolutionary. It
is not an exaggeration to say it’s as interesting and exciting as
seeing a mainstream call to end US imperialism, and it is just as
threatening to establishment power structures. The call for “reform”,
in contrast, is just more milquetoast, Obamaesque fauxgressive
verbiage designed to stagnate a real revolutionary change movement.
It is as interesting and as threatening to establishment power
structures as saying the US should push regime change in
Syria rather than Iran.
Police
abolishment advocates are pushing for something which would require
the complete reconfiguration of power in society to accomplish, where
the prison industrial complex and the war on drugs are ended and what
we think of as policing can for example be mostly replaced by
something more akin to social work. Police “reform”
proponents are advancing a decoy agenda which people have
been distracted by for generations while
the police force has become increasingly militarized behind a veil of
meaningless verbiage about community outreach and training programs.

This
is where the real revolutionary energy is at in America right now, so
it’s no wonder establishment manipulators are doing everything they
can to co-opt it into something innocuous which won’t disturb actual
power structures in the slightest. Obama made a whole political
career out of telling leftwardly inclined Americans that they’re
getting what they want without actually giving it to them, and now
we’ve got Democratic Party princeling Andrew Cuomo telling New York
protesters “You don’t need to protest. You won. You won.
You
accomplished your goal. Society says, you’re right. The police need
systemic reform.”
It’s
textbook liberal manipulation used to steer the revolutionary
zeitgeist into an impotent conceptual tar pit for another few years
while the prison bars are reinforced.
As
I explained a while back in my article “How
To Tell Real News From Useless Narrative Fluff“,
you can tell what’s really going on by watching where the money is
going, where the weapons are going, where the resources are going and
where the people are going. You can see in these demands for
dismantling the police state a bunch of people moving around
demanding to drastically change all four of these things, and you can
see from the liberal narrative managers an agenda to prevent any of
those four things from actually changing.
And if they win out, you
will be able to watch the people, police, weapons and resources
continue moving in more or less the exact same way they’ve been
moving.
They’re
trying to replace a real revolutionary impulse with useless narrative
fluff. They have learned that it is much easier to neuter such
impulses with empty agreement and a bunch of insubstantial words than
to tell them no and stomp them down. Hopefully, the people have
learned this too.
