Zionisten houden pogrom in Oost-Jeruzalem

IfNotNow, een groep jonge Joden uit de VS heeft het roepen om arabieren te doden en te verbranden en Jeruzalem uit te gooien, aangeduid als een pogrom tegen Palestijnen……. Eén en ander gebeurde vorige week donderdag in Oost-Jeruzalem door honderden leden van de fascistische Lehava organisatie….. Dit alles onder het toeziende oog van de Israëlische politie en grenswachten…… (die niets ondernamen tegen de enorme en beangstigende agressie, zelfs niet toen huizen van Palestijnen werden aangevallen en men duidelijk een kind kon horen huilen….) Ook Ben Reiff, een journalist van Haaretz, noemde dit een pogrom en gisteren noemde hetzelfde mediaorgaan de deelnemers aan de pogrom neofascisten…….*

Fijn dat de Nederlandse media, inclusief de zogenaamde onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde NOS, over deze schandelijke fascistische gebeurtenis ‘zoveel hebben bericht’ (niet dus….), terwijl we wel mogen betalen voor de zionistische verslaggevers die de NOS gebruikt, zoals Ties Brock en al voor een veel langere tijd Ankie Rechess……. Toevallig berichtte de NOS vanmorgen wel over het weghalen van hekken bij de Damascuspoort voor de Palestijnen zodat ze gebruik kunnen maken van de plek waar men elkaar ontmoet tijdens de ramadan…… Hiervoor schreef fascist Rechess het artikel op de NOS site, waar ze stelde dat de Israëlische politie dit deed om de de gemoederen tot bedaren te brengen (de hekken staan daar al vanaf het begin van de ramadan…), gemoederen die onder de Palestijnse jongeren hoog opliepen door die belemmering…… Ze zei verder zelfs dat de ellende zoals die hierboven is beschreven de aanleiding was voor extreemrechtse Joden om zich te roeren, met geen woord vertelde ze dat het hier om niets anders ging dan een walgelijke pogrom om de Palestijnen (‘arabieren’) te verdrijven uit Oost-Jeruzalem….**

In een eerder uiterst kort artikel van Rechess spreekt ze over treffen tussen Palestijnen en de leden van Lehava, waar de politie wilde ingrijpen maar machteloos stond, aldus Rechess…… Terwijl de politie niets ondernam toen de honderden leden van Lehava een pogrom hielden in Oost-Jeruzalem en daar huizen aanvielen, wat niet werd gemeld door Rechess, nee in feite stelt ze dat Palestijnse jongeren die uiteindelijk ter verdediging de straten optrokken, van meet af aan vochten met de leden van Lehava……

Trouwens Rechess bericht meestal zo dat elke onderdrukkende maatregel die de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël neemt een reactie is op geweld van Palestijnen, alsof het hier om gelijkwaardige staten gaat en de Palestijnen goed worden behandeld door Israël, walgelijk!! Israël is verantwoordelijk voor ernom lijden onder het verdrukte Palestijnse volk en het aantal Israëlische slachtoffers kan niet in de schaduw staan van het enorme aantal door Israël vermoordde Palestijnen (inclusief kinderen, vrouwen, bejaarden, invaliden, journalisten en medisch personeel) en dat sinds de illegale stichting van de staat Israël (die gefundeerd is op het bloed Palestijnen….)

There are horrifying images from Jerusalem last night of a mob of
racist Jews chanting that the city belongs to them and Arabs should
burn. The young American Jewish group “IfNotNow” labeled the mob a
“pogrom,” in another assertion of moral leadership over community elders
who ignore the violence.

“Hundreds of Jewish supremacists march in Jerusalem’ tonight, chanting ‘death to Arabs’” reports Noa Landau of Haaretz. Some of the supremacists attacked Palestinian homes. Writer Ben Reiff also calls it a pogrom:

Tonight hundreds of Israeli youths
are marching through Arab areas of Jerusalem chanting “death to Arabs”
and “the people demand Arabs on fire”, and are now attacking the homes
of Arabs in the Old City. Call this what it is: a pogrom.

The mob was asserting a Jewish claim to Jerusalem and was aimed at
Palestinians who were emerging from the Old City at sundown in Ramadan.

Israeli media reported, hundreds of
Jewish youth from the far-right extremist Lehava organization arrived
at the [Damascus] gate from Zion Square along Jaffa Street, yelling
“Death to Arabs,” and “Revenge.” They held up signs that read “Death to
terrorists,” according to N12….

“We’ve come here tonight,”
Ben-Zion Gopstein, head of Lehava, said, “to clarify to anyone who
thinks otherwise: Jerusalem is ours!”

Derde presidentskandidaat Democratische Partij wil eind aan VS hulp voor Israël

Elizabeth
Warren, Democratisch presidentskandidaat, is de derde op rij die een eind wil
maken aan de hulp die de VS aan Israël geeft, althans als Israël doorgaat met het annexatie beleid op de West Bank (o.a. middels het
uitbreiden en stichten van nieuwe illegale nederzettingen op de West
Bank). Eerder gingen Bernie Sanders en Pete Buttigieg haar voor. Tot
voor kort zou een dergelijke stap als politieke suïcide worden
gezien, maar blijkbaar veranderen de tijden (en dit keer ten goede
van het verdrukte Palestijnse volk).

Na jaren
tevergeefs druk te hebben uitgeoefend op Caterpillar, Motorola en een Israëlische bank (vreemd dat in het hieronder opgenomen artikel de
naam niet wordt genoemd) te stoppen zaken te doen met Israëlische illegale nederzettingen in de door Israël illegaal bezette West Bank, heeft de Episcopaalse kerk besloten banden met
deze bedrijven te verbreken (bijvoorbeeld de aandelen van dergelijke
bedrijven weg te doen en de rekening bij de bedoelde bank op te
zeggen).

De Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association (RRA) steunt
Betty McCollums (Republikein) wet om militaire hulp aan Israël in te
houden, vanwege het gevangenhouden van Palestijnse kinderen. Onder
druk zouden de Toronto Raptors hun reis naar Israël hebben uitgesteld en deze zal wellicht geheel worden afgesteld.

Tegelijkertijd
heeft Warren laten zien geen ruggengraat te hebben daar ze een Israëlische lobbyclub heeft verzekerd dat haar politieke beleid niets
te maken heeft met de progressieve Joodse groep IfNotNow……. De
vraag is wat e.e.a betekent als ze de volgende president van de VS
zal zijn en te vrezen valt dat ze het slappe beleid van Obama zal
voortzetten, ofwel veel beloven, maar weinig of zelfs niets doen,
immers de Joodse lobby in de VS politiek is uitermate machtig,
sterker nog deze bepaald zelfs deels de buitenlandpolitiek van de VS……

Mocht die VS hulp aan Israël tekort schieten, of wordt er door de VS politici te veel kritiek geleverd op Israël (naar de mening van de Israëlische regering), gaat Netanyahu, of diens opvolger naar
Capital Hill en laat daar de politici en het volk van de VS weten dat
men bijvoorbeeld vooral niet op figuren als Warren moet stemmen (precies dat deed Netanyahu in 2016)…… Dit wordt dan
niet als ongewenste buitenlandse inmenging in de verkiezingen van de VS
gezien, iets waar men Rusland volkomen onterecht van beschuldigde, sterker
nog voor die Israëlische inmenging in de VS politiek zijn pakken dossiers voorradig…….

Intussen
hebben de ‘Israëlische kolonisten’, (echt) illegale bewoners van de
West Bank, de Palestijnse olijvenoogst als doel van haar ongebreidelde
agressie gemaakt: ze hebben olijfbomen vernietigd en zijn zelfs een 80 jarige rabbi te
lijf gegaan, daar deze 100 olijfbomen van vernietiging wilde
redden….. Een verhaal dat je niet op Radio1 zal horen, met haar Israël lobbyist Arlene Gelderblom, die als correspondent fungeert….

In
Jeruzalem zijn dit jaar een record aantal huizen van Palestijnen
vernietigd, daar Israël elke nieuwbouw als een bedreiging voor haar
voortbestaan ziet, terwijl dit land met het zo ongeveer modernste
leger ter wereld, niets te vrezen heeft van de Palestijnen, die je het
best kan vergelijken met de oorspronkelijke volkeren van de drie Amerika’s, ofwel een strijd van met pijl en boog bewapende bewoners, tegen modern bewapende schoften, die men
destijds ook kolonisten noemde……

Jurist
Remi Brulin heeft intussen aangetoond dat een terreurcampagne in de
80er jaren tegen Palestijnen in Libanon, waar een groot aantal
Palestijnen in vluchtelingenkamp Shatila en de aangrenzende buurt Sabra werden vermoord, het werk was van Israëlische agenten,
een zaak die de Israëlische militaire censor tot voor kort
onder de pet heeft weten te houden…… (al moet gezegd worden dat men hier al vanuit ging bij de destijds nog echt onafhankelijke pers [en in de alternatieve pers] en dat vrijwel onmiddellijk na de vreselijke
bloedbaden; opperschoft en massamoordenaar Sharon speelde ook hier ook een ‘mooie rol…’)

Stop
alle hulp aan Israël en boycot deze (nu officiële) fascistische
apartheidsstaat, ‘gefundeerd’ op de lijken van een enorm aantal
Palestijnen………

Warren becomes the third Democratic candidate to broach the subject
of conditioning aid to Israel

Some
good things happened this week and we were there to chronicle them.

Palestinian
human rights are finally becoming an issue in the Democratic Party.
Elizabeth Warren became
the third Democrat, joining
Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders, to say that the United States
should withdraw aid from Israel if it continues its
settlement/annexation project. As our reporter Michael Arria said,
such a stance used to be “political suicide.”

After
years of urging Caterpillar, Motorola and an Israeli bank to cease
business in the occupied territories, the
Episcopal Church moved to
divest itself of these corporations. And the Reconstructionist
Rabbinical Association endorsed Rep.
Betty McCollum’s landmark bill to strip US military aid from Israel’s
detention of children. And though the Toronto
Raptors promised a
trip to Israel, they appear to have scratched the date under pressure
from activists.

Now
for the bad news…

Warren’s
campaign also assured
an Israel lobby group that
a young staffer who was a founder of the progressive Jewish group
IfNotNow will have nothing to do with her foreign policy work. Jeez
Louise.

Settlers attacked
the Palestinian olive harvest,
and destroyed more than 100 trees– and took a crowbar to an
80-year-old rabbi who was trying to protect the trees. And in
2019 Israel
has already destroyed a record number of Palestinian homes in
Jerusalem — and it’s only October.”

Meantime,
there’s a stateside campaign against
Golbarg Bashi’s children’s book “P Is for Palestine” because
Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Samidoun endorse the book and they support
BDS. “The book is basically banned,” the
Iranian-American author told Nada Elia.

Here
are two other pieces we were proud to publish. Haidar Eid reflects
on the
late Ghassan Kanafani’s short story, The Land of Sad Oranges, written
50 years ago about the Nakba.

While
Remi Brulin demonstrates that
a terrorist campaign in Lebanon in the 1980s that killed hundreds was
the work of Israeli agents, but an Israeli military censor suppressed
that information till now– yet the U.S. press has not amended its
reports from that period.

Joden uit de VS protesteren tegen het door Israël vermoorden van ongewapende Palestijnse demonstranten

Gelukkig
is het grootste deel van de joden tegen het fascisme en daarmee tegen
het zionisme. Zo demonstreren joden in de VS al een paar weken tegen
het vermoorden door Israëlische sluipschutters van (ook nog eens)
ongewapende demonstranten en intussen al twee journalisten, die
duidelijk herkenbaar als journalist hun werk deden……

Jammer
dat een groot deel van de joden (zoals het overgrote deel van het westerse publiek) zich in laten pakken door
pro-Israëlische propaganda gebracht in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en verwoord door het
overgrote deel van de westerse politici. Het probleem is dan ook: hoe
krijg je de juiste informatie bij de juiste personen, zeker in een
tijd waarin de voornoemde media en politici om het hardst ‘fake
news’ schreeuwen als men een bericht leest dat afwijkt van de gangbare
propaganda…….

Toch
verbazingwekkend te zien dat zoveel mensen zich dag in dag uit laten
inpakken met voornoemde propaganda en niet inzien dat het opgediste
nieuws van onwaarschijnlijkheid aan elkaar hangt….. Neem de
zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Douma door het aan de winnende hand zijnde
Syrische leger…..

Waarom zou zo’n leger dat de bewuste terreurgroep Jaysh al-Islam (‘leger van de islam’, in het westen aangeduid als ‘gematigde rebellen’ ha! ha! ha!) al bijna het bewuste gebied, t.w. Oost-Ghouta had uitgewerkt, dit o.a. om haar eigen bevolking te bevrijden van de terreur die Jaysh al-Islam uitoefende, diezelfde bevolking vergassen?? (een bevolking die onder Jaysh al-Islam met zware terreur te maken had, onder meer door invoering van de sharia……) Te belachelijk voor
woorden, terwijl deze mensen toch uit de voorgeschotelde propaganda op hadden kunnen
maken dat juist de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen over gifgasvoorraden
beschikken….. Waarnaast ze zouden kunnen weten dat de VN
inspecteurs al in 2013 hebben verklaard dat het Syrische leger niet
langer beschikt over chemische wapens, of laboratoria bezit om de troep te
maken, noch productie faciliteiten over heeft……..

De sociale en niet de reguliere media, die deze feitelijke informatie wel brengen worden door het
voornoemde geteisem afgeschilderd als propagandisten van Rusland en
Syrië en Iran……… BBC, zogenaamd een onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde, begon afgelopen vrijdag zelfs met het
beschuldigen van de geweldige oorlogscorrespondent Vanessa Beeley, waar
men het gore lef had te stellen dat ze een gevaar vormt voor Syriërs en westerse militairen, waar de laatsten illegaal in Syrië en Irak verblijven…… (waar het woord ‘staatsgevaarlijk’ nog net niet werd genoemd, waar dit woord bij wijze van spreken uit het bericht drupte*)

Tja,
Beeley heeft te vaak laten zien dat de westerse media en politici
liegen…… Zo liet ze de vreugde na bevrijding door het Syrische leger bij bewoners zien, die hadden geleden
onder de terreur van zogenaamde jihadstrijders, hier zoals gezegd
liefkozend ‘gematigde rebellen’ genoemd……. Zo liet ze bijvoorbeeld zien,
dat na de strijd in Oost-Aleppo de mensen in grote getale terugkwamen
naar hun veelal geboortestad, terwijl men hier rondbazuinde dat de
mensen in grote getale wegtrokken uit Aleppo (de enige groep die dat
destijds wel heeft gedaan, waren de familie’s van de terreurgroepen, vaak
van buiten Syrië afkomstig, zoals Nederlandse jihadstrijders en hun gezin…..)….

Nog even een ‘update’: De Great March of Return (of: the Great Return March), een vreedzame Palestijnse demonstratie in de Gazastrook, heeft intussen aan 41 ongewapende demonstranten (mensen) het leven gekost, of wel zij werden door laffe Israëlische sluipschutters vermoord…….

(MEE) — Fourteen
American Jews were arrested by the New York Police Department after
blocking the entrance to US Senator Chuck Schumer’s New York office
on Thursday, the latest Jewish-led civil disobedience action aimed at
pushing members of Congress to condemn Israel’s killing of
Palestinian protesters in Gaza.

Chanting
“Free, Free Gaza” and singing Jewish prayers while wearing black,
the protesters, all members of Jewish
Voice for Peace (JVP), sat
in front of Schumer’s office building, locked arms and unfurled a
banner that read: “Schumer, your silence is shameful. NYC Jews
stand with Gaza. Palestinians should be free.”

The
14 who were arrested were joined by at least 40 other JVP members
there to support the protest and push Schumer, the Democratic
majority leader, to speak out against Israeli actions in Gaza. The
demonstrators wore signs around their necks with the names of the 41
Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since 30 March, when Gazans
began the Great March of Return.

The
Gaza protest is a weeks-long encampment near Israel’s self-imposed
militarised barrier with Gaza, calling for the right of return to
lands Palestinians and their descendants were expelled from in 1948,
when Israel was founded. The Palestinian demonstrators have been met
with sniper fire and tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers.

“We’re
here today to call on Senator Schumer to condemn the murder of 41
people in Gaza,” said MJ Edery, a member of JVP’s New York City
chapter. “Everyone should have the right to peacefully protest for
their rights without being murdered.”

Schumer
has been one of Israel’s most steadfast backers in the US Congress.

But
JVP said it hopes to use this protest to pressure other US senators
to urge Israel to stop using sniper

fire
on unarmed Palestinian protesters in Gaza.

The
sit-in is the first in a series of JVP-led demonstrations to be held
in front of the offices of US politicians across the country to press
for enforcement of the Leahy Law, a US provision that prohibits
American military aid from going to foreign army units that violate
human rights. The US provides Israel with more than $3bn in annual
military aid.

”As
a Jew, I have a responsibility to speak out publicly when violence is
committed in my name,” said Audrey Bruner, a JVP member who was
arrested outside Schumer’s office.

Growing
Jewish Protests Over Gaza

There
have been several indicators, including these latest sit-ins at
politicians’ offices, of a growing split in the American Jewish
community over Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinians.

Since
30 March, at least 51 American Jews have been arrested protesting
against Israel’s lethal response to the Great March of Return.

“The
recent wave of actions reflects more broadly that the tide is turning
in the American Jewish community, and its time that Jewish
institutions took note,” said Noah Wagner, a Boston-based member of
IfNotNow, a group of young American Jews that organise against the
Israeli occupation.

Wagner
is one of 37 IfNotNow members who have been arrested
by police officers in
various states for blocking the entrances to offices of US
politicians or Israeli consulates. Wagner and seven other IfNotNow
members were arrested after blocking the entrance to the Israeli
consulate in Boston. The Israeli consulate responded by saying that
the demonstrators were “lawless”.

“This
is a moment of reckoning, a moment when young Jews are exhibiting
moral leadership and showing a sense of clarity and integrity when it
comes to putting fundamental human dignity first,” Wagner told
Middle East Eye. “The violence in Gaza laid bare, exposed the
ugliest undercurrents of the occupation, the real overt brutality
that is required to uphold it. And I think that young Jews no longer
feel we can look away.”

American
Jews Increasingly Critical of Israel

The
memberships of IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace have steadily
increased in recent years, the groups say, calling them a reflection
of how Israeli human rights abuses of Palestinians are driving
members of the American Jewish community away from supporting Israel.

For
decades, the American Jewish community has stood as a pillar of
support for Israel. Washington has shielded Israel from diplomatic
sanction at the United Nations and has given it more than $134bn
in aid, most
of it military assistance, since 1948.

But
the 50-year-long Israeli occupation of Palestinian land – and the
deaths, mass detentions and building of illegal settlements, all
hallmarks of its rule – has eroded support for Israel among
American Jews.

Various
studies have shown that more American Jews are becoming critics of
Israel. Two surveys conducted
by the Brand Israel Group six
years apart revealed a drop in support for the state, as between
2010, when one poll was taken, anf 2016, support for Israel by Jewish
college students dropped by 26 points.

Dov
Waxman, a professor at Northeastern University, said that American
Jews will not be able to change US policy towards Israel single
handedly.

The
US-Israel relationship rests on a number of pillars, like Christian
Evangelical support, intelligence sharing and US weapons companies
that profit from Israeli purchases.

Still,
Waxman, who authored Trouble
in the Tribe: The American Jewish Conflict over Israel, told
Middle East Eye that the wave of American Jewish protests against
Israel’s killings in Gaza was important.

“People
involved in these demonstrations are the future leadership of the
American Jewish community. It does matter what their views are and
what their positions are,” said Waxman. “[The Jewish protests]
can make a difference, particularly for some congressmen – it can
embolden them to speak.”

And
as Israel continues to inflict violence on protesters in Gaza, the
Jewish-led protests in the US will continue, the groups involved say,
in the hopes that pressure will embolden members of Congress to
criticise Israeli actions.

“With
Nakba Day, and the move of the US embassy [to Jerusalem] coming up,
we can expect to see more tragedy and more death in
Israel-Palestine,” said Wagner, the IfNotNow member. “We will be
watching that with a lot of compassion and concern. We will not let
that go unaddressed.”
