houden de westerse reguliere media en het grootste deel van de
westerse politici vol dat Syrië ‘ofwel Assad’ de schuldige was…….
Uit
een groot aantal aanwijzingen zou volgens Moon of Alabama blijken dat
men o.a. samen met de White Helmets (onderdeel van Al Qaida Syrië dat door de VS van ‘de zwarte lijst’ is gehaald…) en CNN bezig
is een nieuwe ‘false flag’ operatie op touw te zetten, waarbij Syrië weer zal
worden aangewezen als dader van een gifgasaanval……
In het volgende artikel wordt o.a. uitgelegd dat chlorine amper slachtoffers maakt, terwijl men bij meerdere aanvallen met dit gas, sprak over het uiterst dodelijke sarin gas…….. Zoals men ook vorig jaar bij de aanval op Khan Sheikhoun, waarbij een voorraad chlorine van Al Qaida Syrië werd geraakt, stelde dat de Syrische luchtmacht sarin gas zou hebben ingezet, ook dit was alweer een leugen van enorme proporties…..

Clearing House” – During the seven years of
the war on Syria several accusations were made that the government
that it had used ‘chemical weapons’ against the attacking extremists.
The Syrian government denied to have ever released any chemicals. The
implausible to murky ‘evidence’ of such incidents always came from
foreign paid propaganda groups and extremists on the ground.
They were likely staged to incriminate the government and to thereby
induce military attacks by foreign states.
We
currently see several reports which in their combination look like
preparations for of another fake ‘chemical weapon’ incident.
On
February 13 the Russian
Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria noted a
warning of an upcoming false-flag ‘chemical attack’ incident:
“On
the evening of February 12, a resident from the Serakab settlement
located in the Idlib province called the Russian Center for
Reconciliaition to notify (the center) about a chemical weapons
attack that could be staged to provide footage for a foreign TV
channel,” the statement reads. “The caller said that
earlier on February 12, Jabhat al-Nusra members travelling in three
cars had brought more than 20
chlorine gas cylinders and
personal protective equipment to Serakab,” the Center added.
“According
to the caller, members of the local While Helmets branch wore
personal protective equipment while rehearsing first aid provision to
civilians suffering from chemical poisoning,” the Russian Center
said.

“The caller pointed out that all
the proceedings had been filmed by professional reporters who used a
mic with the CNN logo, while commenting on the actions being taken by
the White Helmets,”
the statement said, adding that in between takes, the reporters had
consulted with some people over a satellite telephone in English.
The White
Helmets are
a mostly British
funded propaganda
organization embedded with Hayat Tahreer Al-Sham, the current
incarnation of al-Qaeda in Syria which rules Idleb governorate. The
head of al-Qaeda in Syria, Abu Jaber Al-Sheikh, lauded
(video, alternative)
the White
Helmets as
the “hidden soldiers of our revolution”.

The
Russian warning is not the only sign that another fake chemical
weapon attack is coming up.
The
Israeli government is pushing “top
secret” disinformation into the public which preemptively blames
the Syrian government for any upcoming incident. It is also attempts
to influence foreign governments on the issue:
According
to a “Top
secret” cable
sent to Israeli ambassadors earlier this week, Israel fears that the
Assad regime will use the chemical weapons it still has left in a way
which might spill over to Israeli territory. The contents of the
cable were shared
with me by senior Israeli officials.

[T]he
strategic division in the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs sent
the ‘Top Secret” cable to 15 Israeli embassies around the world,
including in Washington.
…
One of the more unusual
instructions in the cable was to
pass a strong message regarding the Israeli concern that the chemical
weapons left at the disposal of the Assad regime might be used
against rebel forces …
On
Tuesday the White
Helmets were
again trying to
get more foreign powers involved in fighting the Syrian government:
France
should stop talking about red lines and focus on real action to
persuade the main actors in Syria’s conflict to agree a ceasefire,
[Abdulrahman Almawwas], the vice-president of the Syria Civil
Defence, or “White Helmets”, said on Tuesday.

Speaking
after meeting senior French officials, including
Macron’s chief diplomatic adviser, Almawwas
said France needed to put pressure on the main protagonists, such as
pushing for a no-fly zone, even though he acknowledged France had few
options.
Only
hours after Abdulrahman Almawwas spoke with Macron’s chief
diplomatic adviser, the French president issued a
statement which set up a ‘red line’ trap:
“On
chemical weapons, I set a red line and I reaffirm that red line,”
Macron told reporters. “If we have proven
evidence that
chemical weapons proscribed in treaties are used, we
will strike the place where they are made.”
“Today, our
agencies, our armed forces have not established that chemical
weapons, as set out in treaties, have been used against the civilian
population.”
Setting
red lines is a trap for oneself as it includes an invitation to
others to break them. Anyone can release ‘chemical weapons’ in
insurgent controlled areas in Syria and blame the Syrian government –
thus potentially triggering the French ‘red line’. So far though
France has “not established” that a real chemical weapon
incident ever happened. Of note in Macron’s statement was also the
threat to strike at “the place where they are made”. That
place would likely be outside of Syria. The French Foreign Ministry
noted Macorn’s inconvenient choice of words, intervened and today
“clarified”
his remarks:
France’s
foreign minister on Wednesday sought to clarify his government’s
position on the use of chemical weapons in Syria saying that Paris
would only strike if the attacks were lethal and carried out by
government forces.

“(The
president) confirmed that he would proceed to military strikes
against regime installations if there was a new use of chemical
weapons by Bashar al-Assad’s forces when
these attacks are lethal and regime’s responsibility is proven,”
Jean-Yves Le Drian told lawmakers.
Al-Qaeda
will have no problem to create a “lethal” chemical weapon
attack. They have killed ten-thousands of Syrian without any remorse.
To “prove” that the Syrian government did it will be the
task of the White Helmets and its CNN and Atlantic
Council collaborators.
Chlorine
though will not do.

In
their last attempt to smear the Syrian government for using ‘chemical
weapons’ those organizations hyped
the remainsof
a few 107mmm rockets which allegedly carried chlorine gas and were
fired against the Takfiri held areas of east-Ghouta. (Unmentioned
were the thousands of grenades fired by
east-Ghouta Takfiris against civilians in Damascus.)
If
those rockets had held chlorine they would have had no effect on
anyone.
Chlorine
gas is hardly ever deadly. It is 2.5 times heavier than air with a
distinct yellow-green color and a strong bleach odor. Chlorine gas
will only kill those submerged in a high concentration cloud. If one
sees or smells it one simply walks away from the cloud and thereby
stays safe. Chlorine was used as the first chemical weapon in World
War I because it would creep downwards into deep enemy ditches. Even
then it was soon found to be ineffective as a weapon and replaced
with other chemicals.
That
a few rockets with a few pounds of chlorine would have no ‘lethal’
effect is also obvious from official
reportsduring
the U.S. occupation of Iraq:
The
first documented chlorine attack was Oct. 21, 2006, in Ramadi, a
Multinational Force Iraq spokeswoman said. In that attack, terrorists
drove a car bomb with 12 120 mm mortar shells and two
100-pound chlorine tanks.
The attack wounded three
Iraqi policemen and a civilian.
The
first attack that received media attention was at Taji, where
terrorists remotely detonated a 5-ton truck packed with 100 pounds of
high explosives and two
1-ton chlorine tanks.
The attack killed
one civilian and
wounded 114 others.

The most recent attack was June 3
against Forward Operating Base Warhorse, in Diyala province. Again, a
suicide car bomber launched the attack, and officials estimate it
included two
tanks of chlorine and
1,000 pounds of explosive. The cloud from the attack blew over
Warhorse and sickened 65
servicemembers, Multinational Force Iraq officials said. All
were examined and returned to duty.

A
Multinational Force Iraq spokesman said there are anecdotal reports
that while
the blasts from the attacks have killed, few have died solely from
the gas.
“We hear that an old man and some babies may have been killed, but
we can’t pin that down,” the spokesman said.
If
literally tons of chlorine were used in attacks in Iraq with no
deadly effect how could a few pounds on top of some small rockets
kill anyone?
On
February 2 the U.S. Secretary of Defense Mattis acknowledge the
practical uselessness of chlorine by putting it into a “separate
category” than other chemical weapons. He also noted that
he has no evidence of any such weapon use:
Q: Is there evidence of chlorine gas weapons used — evidence of chlorine gas weapons?
SEC. MATTIS: I think that’s, yes —
Q:
No, I know, I heard you.
SEC.
MATTIS: I think it’s been used repeatedly. And that’s, as you know, a
somewhat separate category,
which is why I broke out the sarin as another — yeah.
Q: So
there’s credible evidence out there that both sarin and chlorine —
SEC.
MATTIS: No,
I have not got the evidence, not specifically. I don’t have the
evidence.
What
I’m saying is that other — that groups
on the ground, NGOs, fighters on the ground have said that sarin has
been used.
So we are looking for evidence. I
don’t have evidence, credible or uncredible.
NGOs
and “fighters on the ground” claimed to have evidence of
chemical weapon attacks. But just like the French agencies and armed
forces Macron mentioned, Mattis and the DoD have none.
The
Takfiris of al-Qaeda, the White
Helmets propaganda
shop and its media acolytes may well prepare, as the Russians report,
another fake chemical attack stunt. The Israeli government is busy
preparing the public relations ground. But the French government,
having trapped itself with ‘red line’ nonsense, then set the mark
higher at ‘lethal’ attacks.
Chlorine
is, as shown above, hardly ever lethal. But al-Qaeda will have no
qualms about coming up with a few corpses to prove the ‘lethality’ of
a fake incident.
We
also have seen how, with some outside help, a harmless chlorine
release can be faked in an allegedly deadly sarin attack. Such
happened in April 2017 in the Khan Sheikhun incident.
Multiple
early on-the-ground reports by local witnesses and Turkish
officials spoke
of chlorine release and
chlorine affected patients. Only a day later were these claims turned
into an alleged “sarin attack”. Real evidence was never
obtained from the al-Qaeda ruled grounds where that incident
happened.
A discredited
investigation was
inconclusive. It claimed some “sarin-like substance” may
have been involved but it could
not even explain why
more than 50 casualties of the claimed incident arrived at far away
hospitals BEFORE it had happened at all:
The
admission times of the [hospital] records range between 0600 and 1600
hours. Analysis of the aforementioned medical records revealed
that in
57 cases, patients were admitted in five hospitals before the
incident in Khan Shaykhun (at
0600, 0620 and 0640 hours).
One
has to agree with Secretary of Defense Mattis on this – some corpses
shown to CNN by “NGOs” and “fighters on the ground”
are not real evidence. Neither are discredited investigations. If the
al-Qaeda Takfiris and its supporters want to come up with some
believable fake they must set their standard much higher.

Tortured 60% of Palestinian Children Detained at Israeli Prisons

(MEMO) — Sixty
percent of Palestinian children who were arrested by Israeli
occupation forces were verbally, physically or psychologically
tortured, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC) revealed yesterday.
In
a statement, the PPC said that the Palestinian minors detained by the
Israeli occupation were prevented from sleeping, beaten and
threatened by interrogators in order to confess.
The
statement also said that the Palestinian children were prevented from
eating and drinking for long periods and were insulted. They were
also subjected to hours of interrogations.
Accounts
of three Palestinian minor prisoners, who are currently inside
Israeli prisons, were included in the PPC’s report.
Mustafa
Al-Badan, 17, Faisal Al-Shaer, 16, and Ahmed Al-Shalaldeh, 15, told
the PPC that they were tortured when they were investigated.
There
are currently more than 6,500 Palestinians being held in the Israeli
occupation’s jails, including 57 women and girls and 350 children.

Syrië: VS en Israëlische agressie dreigt de wereld in een oorlog te storten……

De corrupte Israëlische premier Netanyahu heeft de afgelopen tijd wekelijks minstens één keer Syrië en Iran gewaarschuwd voor aanvallen van Israël als men niet zou inbinden en bijvoorbeeld zou proberen gebieden aan de Golanhoogten te heroveren, hetzelfde gebied dat Israël NB aan de andere kant van de grens illegaal heeft bezet …… Eerder lapte Israël IS strijders op in hetzelfde gebied, zodat ze daarna verder konden vechten tegen het reguliere Syrische leger, ook voerde Israël op verzoek van IS bombardementen uit op stellingen van het Syrische leger……
Nu is nog de vraag hoelang Rusland zal blijven toezien, voordat het Israëlische en/of VS jagers zal aanvallen……..

(ANTIMEDIA) — The
U.S.-led coalition conducted air and artillery strikes against
pro-regime forces in Syria on Wednesday, killing over 100
pro-government fighters, CNN reports.
According
to the coalition’s statement, the strikes were carried out after
forces allied with the Syrian government “initiated
an unprovoked attack”
against
what CNN termed “a
well-established Syrian Democratic Forces headquarters where
coalition advisers were working with US-backed Syrian fighters.”
CNN dubbed
the U.S.-led strike “defensive” even though U.S. forces have no
legal authority to be in Syria in the first place, something the New
York Times was
forced to admit a
few weeks ago. According to official numbers, there are some 2,000
U.S. troops embedded with SDF forces in Syria, and Syria has deemed
these U.S. troops to be an invading
force.
Technically, the act of violating Syria’s sovereignty and killing
over 100 of its troops in a flagrant act of war makes the U.S. the
aggressor — not the defender — in this scenario. (If you are
having trouble understanding this, try reversing the U.S. and Syria
in the scenario and seeing how you would feel if the shoe were on the
other foot).
According to
the Marine
Corps Times,
the coalition service members were acting in an “advise, assist and
accompany capacity” when the attack occurred, eight kilometers east
of the current Euphrates River deconfliction line. However, U.S.
troops in Syria have been doing a lot more than advising and
assisting on the ground. According to
Army Sgt. Major. John Wayne Troxell, one particular Marine
battalion “fired
more rounds in five months in Raqqa, Syria, than any other Marine
artillery battalion, or any Marine or Army battalion, since the
Vietnam war.”
“In
five months they fired 35,000 artillery rounds on ISIS targets,
killing ISIS fighters by the dozens,” Troxell
told Marine
Corps Times in
January.
The Marine
Corps Times called it an “explosive revelation” that
shed light on the “immense level of lethal force brought to
Raqqa and northern Syria,” noting that in comparison, only
34,000 artillery rounds had been fired in the invasion of Iraq.
Moving
back to the matter at hand, CNN reported
that the attack on the U.S. base in Syria involved some 500 pro-Assad
forces using artillery, mortar fire, and Russian-made tanks.
According to the military official CNN quoted,
no U.S. or SDF forces were killed in the attack, but the coalition
still saw it fit to retaliate by killing at least 100 Syrian
government forces. It is indisputably and particularly hypocritical
that there is no international outrage over this act of aggression
when one compares the media
hysteria over
a country like North Korea, which is currently bombing no one.
The
official also stated that the coalition suspected the pro-government
forces attacked because they have their sights set on seizing the
lucrative oil fields in the area, which the SDF had previously taken
after ISIS’ control over the area collapsed.
Despite
the fact that this territory belongs to Syria, the U.S. is providing
air cover for the SDF to take hold of this oil-rich region. The SDF
doesn’t have an air force of its own, but if it can start
generating substantial revenue from
these oil fields, then it may be able to start buying more and more
military equipment from the U.S.
The
other option, of course, is that the U.S. can provide air cover for
the SDF in the region indefinitely, something that could pose a
problem in the distant future if the U.S. military presence has no
determined end in sight. As it stands, the U.S. is proposing it stay
in Syria until a political resolution sees the Assad
government unseated.
The
official also explained that Russia had been informed of the presence
of pro-regime forces in the area before the attack and that Russia
assured the coalition they would not engage with coalition forces.
Russia responded
to the attack almost
immediately, condemning the U.S. military presence in Syria as
“illegal” and accusing the U.S. of trying to steal Syrian oil.
“The
recent incident once again shows that the United States’ illegal
military presence in Syria is actually aimed at taking control of the
country’s economic assets and not at fighting against the ISIS
international terror group,” the
Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, as quoted by
the Washington
Post (WaPo). It
should also be noted that these incidents of aggression do nothing to
aid Russia’s
current and ongoing attempt to
establish a peace process of its own.
At
around the same time, Turkish media reported that
Turkey’s Prime Minister and its Foreign Minister had been in
contact with both Iran and Russia. This is remarkable because these
communications have preceded a scheduled visit to Turkey this weekend
by U.S. national security advisor H.R. McMaster. Iran and Russia were
also reportedly in contact with each other at around the same time,
as well. Could it be that this triangle
of emerging power brokers in
Syria deciding the fate of Syria without the involvement of the U.S.
has prompted the American military to take drastic measures to
disrupt this developing alliance? Even with opposing aims in Syria —
and even with Turkey’s
recent invasion of Syrian territory —
Iran, Turkey, and Russia have all managed to find some common ground
without resorting to a confrontation with one another.
Accusing
the U.S. of “mission-creep,” former U.S. ambassador to Syria
Robert Ford said “[t]he
Americans have managed through their diplomatic strategy to isolate
themselves to the point where Turkey, Iran and Syria all agree that
what the U.S. is doing in Syria is bad.”
Further,
before the American-led air attack took place, Russia accused the
U.S. of attempting
to partition Syria,
an accusation that appears to be grounded in reality. CNN has
acknowledged that the U.S. did not strike pro-regime forces that
crossed back to their assigned territory of the Euphrates River even
though all of the territory technically belongs to the government
under international law. In other words, the U.S. is happy to leave
Syrian troops to their own devices provided they stay within the
areas the U.S. has assigned to them. How else could this be
described, if not a partition?
Further,
according to the International Crisis Group (ICG), an international
NGO whose mission is to prevent and resolve deadly conflict, Iran
and Israel are only one “miscalculation” away
from war as both sides have been seen to escalate their military
interventions in Syria. The ICG identified Russia as the only real
mediator between the two countries and urged Russia to play a more
active role in averting a potential escalation.
Further,
also on Wednesday, the BBC reported that
Israeli warplanes had attacked a military complex in Damascus. A
Syrian military statement reportedly said its air defense systems had
blocked most of the missiles, but it is not clear if there were any
significant casualties. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu also reportedly visited the
disputed Golan Heights territory at the same time, warning his
enemies not to test Israel’s resolve. This was a clear reference to
Iran and Hezbollah, which is prominent in both Lebanon and Syria.
In
what can be described as an amazing coincidence, these air attacks by
both Israel and the U.S. have taken
place off the back of a joint military exercise between
the United States and Israel, which simulated a joint U.S.-Israeli
response to a rocket attack by Hezbollah.
Were
these recent attacks by Israel and the U.S. a one-time incident in
response to the threats allegedly posed by pro-Assad forces,
including Hezbollah? Or are both these countries building up to
something more confrontational?
All
things considered, it seems likely we will find out where this
conflict is headed in the not too distant future, especially given
the potential for one miscalculated move to lead to something
extremely volatile. As it stands, it should be noted that in the
meantime, it is not Syria that is attacking any other state or
launching a war against any other country.
With
the assistance of the media, the U.S. and Israel continue to bomb
Syrian territory in direct contravention of international law, now
killing and wounding significant numbers of the Syrian government’s
armed forces without any significant journalistic or international
opposition.
One
can only hope that someone heeds the advice of the ICG and attempts
to de-escalate this conflict before it transforms itself into a
regional powder keg involving at least three or more nuclear
powers.

United Nations warned that Palestinians and Beduin in Area C were at
risk of forced transfer by Israel after the IDF demolished two
illegally built elementary school classrooms in the West Bank Beduin
community of Abu
Nuwar just
outside of Jerusalem.
Israel
must “immediately cease all practices that are directly or
indirectly generating a risk of forcible transfer for Palestinians in
various parts of the West Bank, including the destruction of schools
and related property,” Roberto Valent, the UN’s acting
humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory,
said. “Abu Nuwar is one of the most vulnerable communities in need
of humanitarian assistance in the occupied West Bank,” he said.
Sunday’s demolition marked the sixth IDF demolition or confiscation
in Abu Nuwar in the last two years, Valent said.
“A
combination of Israeli policies and practices – including
demolitions and restricted access to basic services, such as
education – have created a coercive environment that violates the
human rights of residents,” Valent added. The two modular
classrooms that housed 25 third and fourth grade pupils were built in
September with funds from the European Union. Another building at the
school services 72 pupils in kindergarten, first and second grades.
Tensions run high between Israel and the EU over its funding of
illegal Palestinian and Beduin modular structures in Area C of the
West Bank….

Pressure From Pro-Israel Groups, New Orleans Repeals BDS Resolution

(MEE) — The
New Orleans City Council rescinded a human rights resolution backed
by Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) advocates after pressure
from pro-Israel politicians and groups.
The
short-lived resolution, which was withdrawn on Thursday, recommended
removing corporations that violate human rights from the city’s
list of contractual partners, but it did not specifically mention
Israel or Palestine.
The
New Orleans Palestinian Solidarity Committee (NOPSC) had pushed the measure,
known as R-18-5, which drew the ire of Israel’s supporters
immediately after its passage.
Max
Geller, a member of the New Orleans Palestinian Solidarity Committee,
said city officials had been “cowardly” in succumbing to pressure
from the Israeli lobby.
Still,
opponents of the measure had called the resolution bigoted and
unjustified.
“The
BDS movement, which has inherently anti-Semitic components, is
designed to challenge Israel’s economic viability and very right to
exist,” the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans (JFGNO) said
in a statement on 12 January, a day after the measure was passed.
In
a joint statement, JFGNO and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
welcomed scrapping the resolution, saying that BDS “does not
advance the discussion towards meaningful resolution and peace
between Israelis and Palestinians, or a workable two state solution.”
The
BDS movement started as a call by Palestinian civil society activists
for a peaceful means to resist the Israeli occupation of Palestinian
territories. They liken their movement to boycott calls against the
apartheid government in South Africa in the 1960s.
BDS
critics accuse it of anti-Semitism because it targets Israel.
Geller told
MEE that Israel’s supporters are only interested in maintaining the
“apartheid practices” of the Israeli government.
“There’s
nothing anti-Semitic about non-violently resisting state violence,”
Geller said in defense of BDS.
“There’s
nothing anti-Semitic about putting an end to ethnic cleansing and
allowing people to stay on their own land.”
Council
members felt a backlash from pro-Israeli groups “immediately”
after the resolution was passed.
“Almost
immediately, my fellow council members and I received sharp criticism
for the manner in which the resolution was passed, as well as the
unintended, but serious consequences of its passage,” Mayor-elect
LaToya Cantrell said in a statement.
Although
she authored and introduced the measure, Cantrell added that its
“unintended impact does not reflect my commitment to inclusivity,
diversity, and respect and support for civil rights, human rights and
freedoms of all New Orleanians.”
New
Orleans-based Republican State Senator Conrad Appel had called the
pro-BDS resolution “absurd.”

Outgoing
Mayor Mitch Landrieu also said in a statement that the resolution
does not represent the policy of the city, calling the measure
“gratuitous.”
Even
outside New Orleans, pro-Israel politicians slammed the resolution,
with South Carolina State Representative Alan Clemmons calling for a
boycott against the southern city.
One
after another, council members started distancing themselves from the
pro-BDS measure that they had approved.
Council
President Jason Williams, who co-sponsored the resolution, said he
had to educate himself about BDS and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
after R-18-5 was passed.
“Let
me be very clear to citizens of New Orleans and citizens of the
world; this city council is not anti-Israel,” Williams said in a
statement. “That sentiment is inconsistent with the council’s
actions and certainly mine personally.”
However,
BDS activists say city officials knew exactly what they were voting
on, and Williams had cited the boycott against apartheid in South
Africa while discussing the resolution.
The
council president did not return MEE’s request for comment.
Geller
said council members are acting like they did not know the aim of
R-18-5, which “doesn’t jive with reality”.
He
said Palestinian rights activists had had dozens of interactions with
council members before 11 January and every single time, they
introduced themselves as the New Orleans Palestinian Solidarity
Committee.
Despite
the disappointment, Tabitha Mustafa, an organiser for the Solidarity
Committee, said the repeal of the resolution is not a loss for BDS.
She
explained that the affair has put Palestinian suffering and Israeli
abuses in the public eye.
“We
haven’t lost anything. This is a victory. I would like to say thank
you to the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Federation of
Greater New Orleans for getting out the word about Palestinian human
rights and Israeli apartheid violations of human rights.”

Dit n.a.v. een artikel op de Huffington Post, waarin werd geciteerd uit gelekte concept documenten over het beleid dat de Trump administratie voert ten aanzien van kernwapens en uiteen wordt gezet in de Nuclear Posture Review >> NPR (VS).
Deze NPR wordt vooral gebruikt om journalisten en studenten middels eufemistische termen het gevaar van nucleaire vernietiging te bagatelliseren………..
Vergeet niet dat de VS niet schroomt een (illegale) oorlog te beginnen, zo heeft de (recente) geschiedenis ons wel geleerd, de kans dat zo’n oorlog in de nabije toekomst zal beginnen met één of meerdere kernwapens van de VS is dan ook levensgroot, zeker als je de uitlating van Trump over kernwapens hoort, zoals de uitlating die hij zelfs drie keer herhaalde: “If we have them, why can’t we use them……?”

Draft Nuclear Posture Review Degrades National Security

On
Jan. 11, the Huffington Post posted a leaked draft of the Trump
Administration’s Nuclear
Posture Review,
the government’s most detailed unclassified nuclear weapons and war
planning and preparation document, the first since April 2010.
The
NPR is used to provide smart-sounding euphemism and theoretical
distraction to reporters and scholars who sometimes write about
nuclear weapons. Since such weapons can only produce firestorms
and massacres that neither medics nor hospitals can begin to respond
to, the government uses cool, technical terminology to sell the
“need” and “usefulness” of the devices to tax payers.
Nuclear
Watch New Mexico* in Santa Fe keeps a critical eye on programs and
problems at the state’s two nuclear weapons design and production
laboratories, Los Alamos and Sandia. In the following, Nuclear Watch
NM provides expert analysis of the latest official gibberish.
The
new Review begins with “[m]any hoped conditions had been set for
deep reductions in global nuclear arsenals, and, perhaps, for their
elimination. These aspirations have not been realized. America’s
strategic competitors have not followed our example. The world is
more dangerous, not less.” The Review then points to Russia and
China’s ongoing nuclear weapons modernization programs and North
Korea’s “nuclear provocations.” It concludes, “We must look
reality in the eye and see the world as it is, not as we wish it be.”
If
the US government were to really “look reality in the eye and see
the world as it is,” it would recognize that it is failing
miserably to lead the world toward the abolition of the only class of
weapons that is a true existential threat to our country. As an
obvious historic matter, the US is the first and only country to use
nuclear weapons. Since WWII the US has threatened to use nuclear
weapons in the Korean and Viet Nam wars, and on many other occasions.
Further,
it is hypocritical to point to Russia and China’s “modernization”
programs as if they are taking place in a vacuum. The US has been
upgrading its nuclear arsenal all along. In the last few years our
country has embarked on a $1.7 trillion modernization program to
completely rebuild its nuclear weapons production complex and all
weapons based on land, in the air and at sea.
Moreover,
Russia and China’s modernization programs are driven in large part
by their perceived need to preserve strategic stability and
deterrence by having the ability to overwhelm the US’s growing
ballistic missile defenses. Ronald Reagan’s pursuit of “Star
Wars” (fed by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s false
promises of success) blocked a nuclear weapons abolition agreement in
1988 with the former Soviet Union. In 2002, George W. Bush
unilaterally withdrew the US from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM Treaty),
which has been a source of constant friction with the Russian
government ever since.
More
recently, at Israel’s request, the US blocked the 2015
Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference at the UN from agreeing to
a conference on a nuclear weapon-free zone in the Middle East (Israel
has never signed the treaty). As an overarching matter, the US and
other nuclear-armed treaty signatories have never honored the
Treaty’s Article VI mandate “to pursue negotiations in good faith
on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race
at an early date and to nuclear disarmament…,” in effect since
1970. As a consequence, last year more than 120 countries at the UN
passed a nuclear weapons ban treaty which the US vehemently
denounced, despite the fact that there have long been ban treaties on
chemical and biological weapons which the US has not only supported
but also sought to enforce.
With
respect to North Korea’s nuclear provocations, that regime is
clearly seeking deterrence against the US. North Korea’s
infrastructure was completely destroyed during the Korean War, and
its people later witnessed the destruction of the Iraqi and Libyan
regimes neither of which had nuclear weapons.
Finally,
the NPR purports to be about “deterrence” against hostile
threats. However, the US’s true nuclear posture has never been just
deterrence, but rather the ability to conduct nuclear attacks,
including pre-emptive first strikes. This is why the US (and Russia)
keep thousands of nuclear weapons instead of the few hundred the
other nuclear powers keep for just deterrence. Keeping and improving
the ability to use nuclear weapons is the underlying reason for the
$1.7 trillion “modernization” program (another euphemism) that is
actually developing new nuclear weapons, instead of maintaining a few
hundred, known to be “useful” for 50 years, while pursuing
nuclear disarmament.
Beyond
preserving and upgrading the enormous land, sea and air-based nuclear
arsenal, the new NPR calls for:
1)
Near-term development of a low-yield nuclear warhead for existing
Trident missiles launched from new submarines.
2)
New sub-launched nuclear-armed cruise missiles.
3)
Keeping the 1.2 megaton B83-1 nuclear gravity bomb “until a
suitable replacement is identified.” [Hiroshima times 80]
4)
“Provide the enduring capability and capacity to produce plutonium
‘pits’ [warhead cores] at a rate of no fewer than 80 pits per
year by 2030.”
5)
“Advancing the W78 warhead replacement to FY19… and investigating
the feasibility of fielding the nuclear explosives package in a Navy
flight vehicle.”
Obvious
problems with these five programs are:
1)
An adversary won’t know whether a Trident sub-launched nuclear
warhead is a new low-yield or an existing high-yield warhead. In any
event, any belief in a “limited’ nuclear war is a fallacy that
shouldn’t be tested. Once the nuclear threshold is crossed at any
level, it is crossed, and lower-yield nuclear weapons are all the
more dangerous for being potentially more usable.
2)
Sub-launched nuclear-armed cruise missiles are inherently
destabilizing as the proverbial “bolt out of the blue,” and can
be the perfect weapon for a nuclear first-strike. Moreover, this is
redundant to nuclear-armed cruise missiles that are already being
developed for heavy bombers.
3)
The National Nuclear Security Administration largely justified the
ongoing program to create the B61-12 (the world’s first “smart”
nuclear gravity bomb) by being a replacement for the 1.2 megaton
B83-1 bomb. Does this indicate doubts in the $13 billion B61-12
program? And will it lead to a bump up in the number of nuclear
weapons in the US’s arsenal?
4)
To date, the talk has been up to 80 pits per year, not “no fewer
than.” Also, the 2015 Defense Authorization Act required that the
capability to produce up to 80 pits per year be demonstrated by 2027.
The NPR’s later date of 2030 could be indicative of longstanding
plutonium pit production problems at the Los Alamos National
Laboratory. That delay and hints of higher than 80 pits per year
could also point to the pit production mission being relocated at the
Savannah River Site, which is under active consideration. In any
event, future plutonium pit production pit production is not needed
for the existing nuclear weapons stockpile, but is instead for future
new-design nuclear weapons.

“W78 warhead replacement… in a Navy flight vehicle” is code for
so-called Interoperable Warheads, whose planned three versions
together could cost around $50 billion. These are arguably huge make
work projects for the nuclear weapons labs (particularly Livermore),
which ironically the Navy doesn’t even want (Navy
memo,
Sept. 27, 2012). It is also the driving reason for unnecessary
future production of more than 80 pits per year.
Jay
Coghlan, Nuclear Watch’s Executive Director, concludes with a grim
prognosis:
“The
new NPR does not even begin to meet our long-term need to eliminate
the one class of weapons of mass destruction that can truly destroy
our country. It will instead set back arms control efforts and
further hollow out our country by diverting yet more huge sums of
money to the usual giant weapons contractors at the expense of public
health and education, environmental protection, natural disaster
recovery, etc. Under the Trump Administration and this NPR, expect
Medicare and social security to be attacked to help pay for a false
sense of military superiority.”

Rutte 3 tegen het ophalen van ex-IS moeders en kinderen ‘dat is namelijk humaan…..’
Gistermorgen in het programma ‘Spraakmakers’ (beter zou zijn: ‘Praatjesmakers’) op Radio1 na 9.30 u. schrijver en fotograaf Hans Aarsman. Standpunt NL lanceerde voor dit programma de stelling: ‘De overheid moet Nederlandse kalifaatkinderen terug naar Nederland halen‘ en daar sprak men ook over toen ik rond 9.37 u. afstemde op de zender. (‘kalifaatkinderen…..’)
Het eerste wat ik Aarsman hoorde stellen was dat wanneer je die kinderen ophaalt, je meteen een hoop ellende op de hals haalt……. Met andere woorden: ‘lekker daarlaten…..’ Let wel, presentator Plag vertelde vlak voor deze uitlating dat het hier om kinderen gaat (volgens het ministerie van BuZa rond de 100), die of geen ouders meer hebben, of om vrouwen met kinderen van wie de man nog vecht dan wel dood is. Ook vertelde Plag dat de omstandigheden in die kampen desastreus zijn, ziekte, kou en gebrek aan veel zaken teisteren het leven in die Koerdische opvangkampen………
De Koerdische autoriteiten hebben Nederland al toegezegd dat deze kinderen en hun eventuele moeders naar Nederland mogen, maar daar weigert onze ‘humane regering’ gehoor aan te geven. De moeders willen graag terug naar Nederland maar ze moeten op eigen kracht een Nederlands consulaat bereiken, anders kunnen ze het vergeten……..
De regering (m.n. de VVD) staat (zoals gezegd) op het standpunt dat deze moeders en kinderen op eigen kracht het Nederlandse consulaat moeten bereiken, voordat ze hulp krijgen, Rutte heeft dat nog eens mondeling bevestigd…….. Echter het is voor deze moeders en ieder ander in dat gebied onmogelijk een Nederlands consulaat te bereiken……… Met andere woorden onze regering van VVD, CDA, D66 en ‘Christen’Unie stellen een onmogelijk eis, waarbij ze ook nog eens totaal voorbij gaan aan de weeskinderen, die uiteraard al helemaal niet op eigen kracht een Nederlandse consulaat kunnen bereiken…….
Kortom Rutte 3 bestaat uit louter inhumaan schoftentuig, waar sommigen van hen zich zelfs christelijk durven te noemen…….. Het voorgaande werd overigens uitgelegd door advocaat André Seebregts, die ook even te horen was (al zei deze het in ‘ietwat andere bewoordingen’).
Volgens opperhufter Rutte en zijn partijcollega en huppeltrut Bente Becker, VVD woordvoerder ontwikkelingssamenwerking (en speechschrijver van Rutte, zoals je wellicht weet kan hij dat niet zelfstandig) hebben die ouders er zelf voor gekozen om tegen onze rechtsorde te vechten en zijn ze daarom zelf verantwoordelijk, alsof je dat die kinderen kan aanrekenen……… Ach ja, wat kan je verwachten van de leden die zijn verbonden aan de inhumane misdaadorganisatie VVD, een partij die zich meer en meer meet met de fascisten van de PVV…….
Becker stelde dat Nederland ‘al’ 60 miljoen geeft aan vluchtelingenkampen en dat van dat geld misschien wat naar de Koerdische opvangkampen kan worden gestuurd………
Zeg Becker en Rutte: jullie zijn mede verantwoordelijk voor de ellende die in het Midden-Oosten hoogtij viert. Nederland moest zo nodig meedoen aan de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, waarbij Nederland wat betreft Irak zelfs mee heeft geholpen bij de voorbereiding van die oorlog………. Door het westen gevoerde illegale oorlogen roepen uiteraard verzet op en het is dan ook niet vreemd dat terreurgroepen de westerse militairen aanvallen…… En Rutte, was jij al ‘vergeten’ dat je verantwoordelijk bent voor wapenleveranties aan IS???*
Dan Syrië, de opstand in dit land werd al vanaf 2006 voorbereid door de VS (met hulp van Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Egypte, dacht zelfs dat ook Groot-Brittannië hieraan deelnam, maar weet dit niet zeker). IS, de grootste terreurgroep is meermaals gesteund door de VS, Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Israël, o.a. met wapens, voertuigen, geld en medische zorg (dat laatste door Israël op de Golanhoogten)…….
Als je dan nog durft te zeggen dat die jihadstrijders in Syrië tegen onze rechtsorde vechten, ben je ofwel knettergek of een enorme oplichter…….. Met hetzelfde gemak durf ik te stellen dat het meedoen van Nederland aan illegale oorlogen, een enorme terreurdaad is en dat deze tegen onze rechtsorde is, immers terreuruitoefening elders roept terreur in Nederland op!

BBC publieksmanipulatie via het nieuws: Rusland steunt de slechteriken……
Op deze plek al meermaals weergegeven: het gekleurde nieuws dat de BBC brengt. Ook theCanary heeft hier meermaals over gepubliceerd en voegde daar afgelopen vrijdag weer een bericht aan toe.
In het tien uur nieuws (‘s avonds) op BBC tv sprak presentator Fiona Bruce over ‘de door Rusland gesteunde Syrische troepen’. Uiteraard is dit uiterst negatief bedoeld……. .Dit soort praat hoor je nooit als het gaat om de reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië, die door de VS en Groot-Brittannië, wordt gesteund bij de genocide uitvoering op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen…….
Overigens doet de BBC hetzelfde als het over de Oost-Oekraïense separatisten gaat, routinematig krijg je dan te horen: ‘The Russian backed rebels’, terwijl er NB geen flinter bewijs is voor deze opmerking…… Even routinematig voegt men daar dan ook nog even de leugen aan dat er daadwerkelijk Russische troepen vechten in Oost-Oekraïne…….. Geen bewijs, maar als je het maar genoeg herhaalt wordt het bij de meeste luisteraars/kijkers als waarheid opgeslagen in de hersenpan…… Door deze leugens krijgen die separatisten een slechte naam, immers ze worden door Rusland gesteund en zoals je weet: in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media: Rusland staat zo ongeveer voor al het kwaad in de wereld……..
De separatisten in Oost Oekraïne hebben groot gelijk dat ze zich afscheidden van Oekraïne, immers zij hadden voor de overgrote meerderheid (democratisch) gekozen voor president Janoekovytsj en niet voor de corrupte neonazi Porosjenko, die door de VS middels een opstand en coup aan het bewind werd gebracht (hoofdverantwoordelijk destijds: VS minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Hillary Clinton, die daar maar liefst 4 miljard dollar voor vrijmaakte……)………….
Uiteraard is dit soort van berichtgeving door de ‘onafhankelijke’ BBC, om de luisteraar/kijker schrik en haat aan te jagen voor/tegen Rusland, we moeten immers klaargestoomd worden voor een oorlog tegen Rusland en daar kunnen niet genoeg leugens voor gebruikt worden dat blijkt wel (voor de zoveelste keer)……
Moet je nagaan: er gaat bijna geen dag voorbij of men doet gewichtig over het kwaad dat ‘fake news’ wordt genoemd……… Je hoeft na het voorgaande niet te vragen ‘wie daar de schuldigen zijn’, juist: de Russen of Rusland trollen…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Terwijl keer op keer blijkt dat deze leugens niet kloppen en de VS zelf niet anders doet dan andere landen hacken en afluisteren (en dan het liefst ‘bewijs’ achterlaat voor de Russische bemoeienis [zie de Vault 7 documenten op Wikileaks], dit nog naast het manipuleren van de boel in een groot aantal landen…………

News at Ten has
a problem. And so does BBC
News in
general. It manifestly fails to present a balanced account of global
conflicts where the US or UK have vested interests. And as the US and
UK have some stake in almost every global conflict, this is a very
big problem.

On
8 January, BBC
News at Ten covered
the devastating conflict in Syria. And host Fiona Bruce referred to
Syrian government forces being backed by Russia. This happens often
in theatres of war where Russia has an interest. Think Ukraine,
Georgia, and so on. But as Media
Lens pointed
out that night, rarely is the same approach taken in reverse; when
the superpower influencing events is the US or UK.
Fiona Bruce used the phrase, ‘Syrian government forces, backed by Russia’, on #BBCNewsTen last night. Why does @BBCNews not routinely use the phrase, ‘Saudi government forces, backed by the US and the UK’, when reporting on #Yemen? bit.ly/2EpAPj0

general response to such criticism. Silence, or the standard claims
of impartiality. Despite such claims, Syrian BBC anchor
Dima Izzedin quit in 2016 – citing the broadcaster’s failure
to uphold standards of impartiality when covering the conflict.
She said:
The
standards adopted by this great institution are supposed to make it
first class in media, but this [is] not the case…
Unfortunately,
these standards are no longer applied as [they] should be. Eventually
I took from the BBC…
today I leave it as it is no longer like me nor am I like it. The
news on my wounded homeland departed us.
But
why?
Speaking
at a Real
Media event
on ‘Media bias and big political events’, the University of
Glasgow’s Greg
Philo explained
the seemingly rightward shift of BBC
Newscoverage.
He traced it back to the rise of Blairism and the invasion of Iraq.
From then on, conversations in parliament were based on a
near-universal acceptance of neoliberalism,
in both domestic and foreign policy. And as the BBC saw
its role as providing balanced reporting of those views, they failed
to make space for broader discussions. As Philo explains
[0.49]:
The BBC,
which is supposed to be public – supposed to be representing a
range of views, interprets its rubric as being simply to report what
goes on in parliament. So if parliament is substantially to the
right, then the BBC sees
no reason to report that section of the population which are on the
left. Even if there is a huge number of people who want left-wing
policies in some areas.
And
this is bigger than Syria and Yemen.
It affects almost all reporting. And the dominance of establishment
figures in senior roles at the BBC perpetuated
this slide.
Former
BBC Trust head Rona
Fairhead was
an old
ally of
George Osborne and a board member of HSBC. And James
Harding,
the BBC’s former Director
of News and Current Affairs, previously worked for the Murdoch
press. While Editor of The
Timesnewspaper,
he was responsible for exposing the
identity of police blogger NightJack by hacking the
blogger’s email accounts – which his legal team
then failed to
mention during a court case against the action. Harding has also
gone on the record as ‘pro
Israel’.
This
filters down into lower-level editorial decisions. Like in the case
of Raffi Berg. In 2013, a devastating report by Electronic
Intifada revealed
the BBC online
editor was instructing journalists to skew reports on
Israel-Palestine in favour of Israel. While hundreds of Palestinians
were losing their lives during Israel’s eight-day assault on
the Gaza Strip in 2012, Berg was emailing journalists
with ‘guidance’ to maintain a pro-Israel tone in their reports.
Building
a better BBC
Editors
and journalists at the BBC reading
this might feel it’s unfair to single them out. They aren’t the
only media outlet doing this, and they aren’t the worst. That is
entirely true. But it is also entirely missing the point. It is
precisely because the wider media landscape is filled with such poor
reporting that the role of the BBC is
so necessary. And it’s why silence is not the right course for
change. As Greg Philo concludes
[4.04]:
Attack,
attack, attack them. Because it’s our media. We own the BBC. Get
on it and insist that our views are heard.
Licence
fee payers have the right to demand better, and the BBC should
take the opportunity to do better.
