Venezuela >> regime change: ‘de 12 stappen methode’ die de VS gebruikt

Hoe
de VS te werk gaat als het een haar onwelgevallig regime wil laten
vallen, is op deze plek meermaals aangehaald: organiseer een opstand
onder het volk, het liefst middels een economische oorlog, die
aanvankelijk in het geniep wordt gevoerd: VS bedrijven onder druk
zetten, bedrijven die in bijvoorbeeld Venezuela levensmiddelen
verkopen, hun voorraden niet of onvoldoende te bevoorraden,
hetzelfde geldt voor farmaceutische bedrijven. Hierdoor ontstaat
ontevredenheid onder het volk, een situatie die kan leiden tot een
volledige opstand……

Een
opstand die uiteraard wordt georganiseerd en geregisseerd door de
VS >> CIA), waarbij men het liefst gewelddadige figuren inzet die middels
zwaar geweld als het doodschieten van demonstranten, het bewuste
bewind zoals dat in Venezuela in een kwaad daglicht stelt, ofwel: de
doden zouden te danken zijn aan het bewind, dit noemt men een false flag operatie en is een specialiteit van de CIA en het Pentagon…….

Met
een opstand in het land ligt de weg naar een staatsgreep open. Immers
op het punt dat er sprake is van een opstand, die ‘met geweld wordt
onderdrukt’, stappen de reguliere westerse media in de zaak en middels het
schreeuwen van moord en brand en de eis sancties in te stellen…..
Met sancties zoals in het geval van Venezuela, wordt het leven voor
de bevolking nog zwaarder, waarna men in diezelfde media in de
westerse politiek ingrijpen eist…… Zie hier in het kort de
werkwijze van de VS.

De VS heeft in Venezuela een tekort aan voedsel en medicijnen veroorzaakt, waar dezelfde VS nu de door haar naar voren geschoven kandidaat Guaidó wil voorzien van….. levensmiddelen en medicijnen!! 

Op dit moment, even na 12.00 u. is er een Duitse correspondent in Venezuela aan het woord op WDR 5, en stap voor stap herhaalt zij de leugens die tot de door de VS georganiseerde opstand in Venezuela hebben geleid, zo herhaalt ze de leugen dat er geen economische oorlog is gevoerd tegen het land en dat de tekorten aan Maduro’s beleid zijn te danken…… Terwijl er aantoonbaar een economische oorlog is gevoerd tegen Venezuela en dat deze de grote tekorten heeft veroorzaakt…… 

De correspondent spreekt alsof de toestand van het Venezolaanse volk hetzelfde is als die voor de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook en op de West Bank, of sterker nog: of deze te vergelijken is met de genocide die de Saoedische terreurcoalitie uitvoert in Jemen (met grote steun van de VS en GB…) en waarbij dagelijks grote aantallen mensen omkomen…. (opvallend is het volgende onderwerp op WDR 5: fake news [nepnieuws] en de betrouwbaarheid van de reguliere media…..)

Prashad, werd op 5 februari jl. gepubliceerd op CounterPunch. Prashad haalt nog een aantal extra punten aan die in het stappenplan
van de VS worden gebruikt om te komen tot een verandering van regime. Prashad doet dit o.a. door zaken uit het verleden aan te halen, zoals de coup van
de VS tegen de socialistische president Allende in Chili op 11
september 1973 (de eerste 9/11, als de tweede, onder regie van de CIA….)

The
12-Step Method of Regime Change

On
15 September 1970, US President Richard Nixon and National Security
Advisor Henry Kissinger authorised the US government to do everything
possible to undermine the incoming government of the socialist
president of Chile, Salvador Allende. Nixon and Kissinger, according
to the notes kept by CIA Director Richard Helms, wanted to ‘make
the economy scream’ in Chile; they were ‘not concerned [about
the] risks involved’. War was acceptable to them as long as
Allende’s government was removed from power. The CIA started
Project FUBELT, with $10 million as a first instalment to begin the
covert destabilisation of the country.

US
business firms, such as the telecommunication giant ITT, the soft
drink maker Pepsi Cola and copper monopolies such as Anaconda and
Kennecott, put pressure on the US government once Allende
nationalised the copper sector on 11 July 1971. Chileans celebrated
this day as the Day of National Dignity (Dia de la Dignidad
Nacional). The CIA began to make contact with sections of the
military seen to be against Allende. Three years later, on 11
September 1973, these military men moved against Allende, who died in
the regime change operation. The US ‘created the conditions’ as
US National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger put it, to which US
President Richard Nixon answered, ‘that is the way it is going to
be played’. Such is the mood of international gangsterism.

Chile
entered the dark night of a military dictatorship that turned over
the country to US monopoly firms. US advisors rushed in to strengthen
the nerve of General Augusto Pinochet’s cabinet.

What
happened to Chile in 1973 is precisely what the United States has
attempted to do in many other countries of the Global South. The most
recent target for the US government – and Western big business –
is Venezuela. But what is happening to Venezuela is nothing unique.
It faces an onslaught from the United States and its allies that is
familiar to countries as far afield as Indonesia and the Democratic
Republic of Congo. The formula is clichéd. It is commonplace, a
twelve-step plan to produce a coup climate, to create a world under
the heel of the West and of Western big business.

Step
One: Colonialism’s Traps.

Most
of the Global South remains trapped by the structures put in place by
colonialism. Colonial boundaries encircled states that had the
misfortune of being single commodity producers – either sugar for
Cuba or oil for Venezuela. The inability to diversify their economies
meant that these countries earned the bulk of their export revenues
from their singular commodities (98% of Venezuela’s export revenues
come from oil). As long as the prices of the commodities remained
high, the export revenues were secure. When the prices fell, revenue
suffered. This was a legacy of colonialism. Oil prices dropped from
$160.72 per barrel (June 2008) to $51.99 per barrel (January 2019).
Venezuela’s export revenues collapsed in this decade.

Step
Two: The Defeat of the New International Economic Order.

In
1974, the countries of the Global South attempted to redo the
architecture of the world economy. They called for the creation of a
New International Economic Order (NIEO) that would allow them to
pivot away from the colonial reliance upon one commodity and
diversify their economies. Cartels of raw materials – such as oil
and bauxite – were to be built so that the one-commodity country
could have some control over prices of the products that they relied
upon. The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC),
founded in 1960, was a pioneer of these commodity cartels. Others
were not permitted to be formed. With the defeat of OPEC over the
past three decades, its members – such as Venezuela (which has the
world’s largest proven oil reserves) – have not been able to
control oil prices. They are at the mercy of the powerful countries
of the world.

Step
Three: The Death of Southern Agriculture.

In
November 2001, there were about three billion small farmers and
landless peasants in the world. That month, the World Trade
Organisation met in Doha (Qatar) to unleash the productivity of
Northern agri-business against the billions of small farmers and
landless peasants of the Global South. Mechanisation and large,
industrial-scale farms in North America and Europe had raised
productivity to about 1 to 2 million kilogrammes of cereals per
farmer. The small farmers and landless peasants in the rest of the
world struggled to grow 1,000 kilogrammes of cereals per farmer. They
were nowhere near as productive. The Doha decision, as Samir
Amin wrote,
presages the annihilation of the small farmer and landless peasant.
What are these men and women to do? The production per hectare is
higher in the West, but the corporate take-over of agriculture (as
Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research Senior Fellow P.
Sainath shows) leads to increased hunger as it pushes peasants off
their land and leaves them to starve.

Step
Four: Culture of Plunder.

Emboldened
by Western domination, monopoly firms act with disregard for the law.
As Kambale
Musavuli and I write of
the Democratic Republic of Congo, its annual budget of $6 billion is
routinely robbed of at least $500 by monopoly mining firms, mostly
from Canada – the country now leading the charge against Venezuela.
Mispricing and tax avoidance schemes allow these large firms
(Canada’s Agrium, Barrick and Suncor) to routinely steal billions
of dollars from impoverished states.

Step
Five: Debt as a Way of Life.

Unable
to raise money from commodity sales, hemmed in by a broken world
agricultural system and victim of a culture of plunder, countries of
the Global South have been forced to go hat in hand to commercial
lenders for finance. Over the past decade, debt held by the Global
South states has increased, while debt payments have ballooned by
60%. When commodity prices rose between 2000 and 2010, debt in the
Global South decreased. As commodity prices began to fall from 2010,
debts have risen. The IMF points out that of the 67 impoverished
countries that they follow, 30 are in debt distress, a number that
has doubled since 2013. More than 55.4% of Angola’s export revenue
is paid to service its debt. And Angola, like Venezuela, is an oil
exporter. Other oil exporters such as Ghana, Chad, Gabon and
Venezuela suffer high debt to GDP ratios. Two out of five low-income
countries are in deep financial distress.

Step
Six: Public Finances Go to Hell.

With
little incoming revenue and low tax collection rates, public finances
in the Global South has gone into crisis. As the UN Conference on
Trade and Development points out, ‘public finances have continued
to be suffocated’. States simply cannot put together the funds
needed to maintain basic state functions. Balanced budget rules make
borrowing difficult, which is compounded by the fact that banks
charge high rates for money, citing the risks of lending to indebted
countries.

Step
Seven: Deep Cuts in Social Spending.

Impossible
to raise funds, trapped by the fickleness of international finance,
governments are forced to make deep cuts in social spending.
Education and health, food sovereignty and economic diversification –
all this goes by the wayside. International agencies such as the IMF
force countries to conduct ‘reforms’, a word that means
extermination of independence. Those countries that hold out face
immense international pressure to submit under pain of extinction, as
the Communist Manifesto (1848) put it.

Step
Eight: Social Distress Leads to Migration.

The
total number of migrants in the world is now at least 68.5 million.
That makes the country called Migration the 21st largest country in
the world after Thailand and ahead of the United Kingdom. Migration
has become a global reaction to the collapse of countries from one
end of the planet to the other. The migration out of Venezuela is not
unique to that country but is now merely the normal reaction to the
global crisis. Migrants from Honduras who go northward to the United
States or migrants from West Africa who go towards Europe through
Libya are part of this global exodus.

Step
Nine: Who Controls the Narrative?

The
monopoly corporate media takes its orders from the elite. There is no
sympathy for the structural crisis faced by governments from
Afghanistan to Venezuela. Those leaders who cave to Western pressure
are given a free pass by the media. As long as they conduct
‘reforms’, they are safe. Those countries that argue against the
‘reforms’ are vulnerable to being attacked. Their leaders become
‘dictators’, their people hostages. A contested election in
Bangladesh or in the Democratic Republic of Congo or in the United
States is not cause for regime change. That special treatment is left
for Venezuela.

Step
Ten: Who’s the Real President?

Regime
change operations begin when the imperialists question the legitimacy
of the government in power: by putting the weight of the United
States behind an unelected person, calling him the new president and
creating a situation where the elected leader’s authority is
undermined. The coup takes place when a powerful country decides –
without an election – to anoint its own proxy. That person – in
Venezuela’s case Juan Guaidó – rapidly has to make it clear that
he will bend to the authority of the United States. His kitchen
cabinet – made up of former government officials with intimate ties
to the US (such as Harvard University’s Ricardo Hausmann and
Carnegie’s Moisés Naím) – will make it clear that they want to
privatise everything and sell out the Venezuelan people in the name
of the Venezuelan people.

Step
Eleven: Make the Economy Scream.

Venezuela
has faced harsh US sanctions since 2014, when the US Congress started
down this road. The next year, US President Barack Obama declared
Venezuela a ‘threat to national security’. The economy started to
scream. In recent days, the United States and the United Kingdom
brazenly stole billions of dollars of Venezuelan money, placed the
shackles of sanctions on its only revenue generating sector (oil) and
watched the pain flood through the country. This is what the US did
to Iran and this is what they did to Cuba. The UN says that the US
sanctions on Cuba have cost the small island $130 billion. Venezuela
lost $6 billion for the first year of Trump’s sanctions, since they
began in August 2017. More is to be lost as the days unfold. No
wonder that the United Nations Special Rapporteur Idriss Jazairy says
that ‘sanctions which can lead to starvation and medical shortages
are not the answer to the crisis in Venezuela’. He said that
sanctions are ‘not a foundation for the peaceful settlement of
disputes’. Further, Jazairy said, ‘I am especially concerned to
hear reports that these sanctions are aimed at changing the
government of Venezuela’. He called for ‘compassion’ for the
people of Venezuela.

Step
Twelve: Go to War.

US
National Security Advisor John Bolton held a yellow pad with the
words 5,000 troops in Colombia written on it. These are US troops,
already deployed in Venezuela’s neighbour. The US Southern Command
is ready. They are egging on Colombia and Brazil to do their bit. As
the coup climate is created, a nudge will be necessary. They will go
to war.

None
of this is inevitable. It was not inevitable to Titina Silá, a
commander of the Partido Africano para a Independència da Guiné e
Cabo Verde (PAIGC) who was murdered on 30 January 1973. She fought to
free her country. It is not inevitable to the people of Venezuela,
who continue to fight to defend their revolution. It is not
inevitable to our friends at CodePink: Women for Peace, whose Medea
Benjamin walked into a meeting of the Organisation of American States
and said – No!

It
is time to say No to regime change intervention. There is no middle
ground.

Professor Boyle: Obama de oorlogsmisdadiger die alle wetten met voeten heeft getreden, zou levenslang gevangen moeten zitten in Den Haag

Professor
Boyle geeft al 41 jaar lang onderwijs aan de Harvard Law School,
waar ook Obama studeerde. Volgens Boyle heeft Obama alle regels
aangaande de rechtsstaat geschonden, sterker nog: Obama heeft
zelfs de grondwet van de VS geschonden…….

Boyle
stelt dat e.e.a Obama veel zwaarder is aan te rekenen dan
bijvoorbeeld Bush en Trump, daar hij rechten heeft gestudeerd. Dit
alles terwijl Obama tijdens diens presidentschap letterlijk stelde
dat hij zeer goed is in het vermoorden van mensen…….

Niet
alleen vermoordde Obama een groot aantal mensen in de illegale
oorlogen die hij begon tegen Libië en Syrië*, maar ook de duizenden
mensen die hij vermoordde met zijn ‘drone programma’, waar meer dan
90% van de slachtoffers niet eens als verdacht te boek stond, dus
je raadt het al: vooral vrouwen en kinderen……  

Daarnaast breidde Obama het aantal militairen in Afghanistan fiks uit en ook daar beging de VS, zoals overal waar deze grootste terreurentiteit oorlog voert, enorme oorlogsmisdaden…. Zoals het bombarderen van een Artsen zonder Grenzen (MSF) ziekenhuis en dat een uur lang, terwijl het VS oppercommando meermaals werd gevraagd te stoppen met bombarderen……..

Lees dit
helaas enigszins krom geschreven artikel dat wel een heel duidelijk
beeld geeft hoe Obama niet alleen wetten met voeten heeft getreden,
maar ook zijn verkiezingsbeloften heeft geschonden (al vanaf zijn
eerste termijn….)…

Ofwel: gezien het voorgaande had ook Obama levenslang gevangen moeten zitten in Den Haag……

Clearing House” –  I
am Francis Boyle, Professor of Law here at the College of Law. I’m
the Senior Professor at the College of Law. I’ve taught here 41
years in a row without a break. I know Obama. He was behind me at
Harvard Law School. Obama abandoned and betrayed every Principle
about the Rule of Law that I learned at Harvard Law School including
the United States Constitution.

I
was fairly disposed towards Obama. When the Black Law Students
brought him over here to the Law School from Springfield to speak, I
went over there. I sat next to Obama. I introduced myself to Obama. I
told Obama I couldn’t stay. I had to go home for dinner with my
family. He said he understood. I wished him well and I shook his
hand. I was the only Law Professor there that day. I am here to
condemn Obama as a war criminal and worse.

The
University of Illinois is giving him an “ethics in government”
award. This is a sick joke and a demented fraud! The University of
Illinois, for its own typical bootlicking reasons, wants to whitewash
all of Obama’s international crimes. Obama should be sitting in a
jail cell in The Hague with the International Criminal Court and not
here getting some bogus “ethics in government” award from the
bootlickers of the University of Illinois campus bigwigs.

I’m
not the only one to say that. Obama and I had the same Jurisprudence
Teacher – Philosophy of Law – at Harvard Law School, Professor
Roberto Unger, the founder of the Critical Legal Studies Movement.
What did our Teacher say about Obama on BBC Hard Talk and elsewhere?:
“Obama is a disaster!” Again, Professor Unger, our teacher, said:
“Obama is a disaster!” I agree with Professor Unger, one of the
great philosophers of law in the post-World War 2 era. And I’ve
been teaching Jurisprudence since I came here in 1978.

Now
don’t just take Professor Unger’s words for it. What does
Professor Noam Chomsky have to say about Obama and his drone murder
extermination campaign against Muslims, Arabs, Asians of Color all
over the world? Here’s Professor Noam Chomsky: “…particularly
to the drone assassinations, the most extreme terrorist campaign of
modern times – which have killed more than 5,000 people, including
U.S. citizens and hundreds of children.” That is Noam Chomsky, one
of the great intellectuals in the world and a personal hero of mine
when he was leading the forces of opposition to the Vietnam War that
I was opposing as a young man. That’s how Chomsky referred to
Obama’s drone murder campaign: “…the most extreme terrorist
campaign of modern times…” That’s amazing to think of! That’s
the person here that the University of Illinois is whitewashing. That
figure today on his drone murder extermination campaign is up to at
least ten thousand. Trump is just continuing it.

Indeed,
Trump is just continuing across the board policies that Obama put in
place. The difference between Trump and Obama and Obama and Bush Jr.
is that Obama knows better. He’s a magna cum laude graduate of
Harvard Law School just like I am. Obama has abandoned and betrayed
every known Principle of the Rule of Law that I ever learned at
Harvard Law School including the United States Constitution which he
doesn’t give diddly-squat about. Indeed referring to his drone
murder extermination campaign Obama bragged: “…I’m really good
at killing people!” Those are Obama’s own words. That’s the man
the University of Illinois is whitewashing today with their “ethics
in government” award. Indeed Obama murdered four U.S. citizens at
least that we know of, including Mr. Awlaki and his 16 year old son
who was completely innocent of anything. Obama is a monster! He’s a
criminal! As I said he should be in jail, not getting some bogus
“ethics” award from the bootlickers at the University of Illinois
administration.

Let’s
review his record. The first thing Obama does when he comes into
office, Bush Jr. has about 26,000 troops in Afghanistan, and Obama
escalates that immediately by 100,000 troops. 100,000 extra troops
murdering, killing, exterminating Afghans all up and down. We don’t
even have a body count because the Pentagon won’t give us the
numbers. My estimate maybe a million people. Obama is like Genghis
Khan and His Mongol Horde, raping, robbing, pillaging and murdering
all over the world innocent men, women, and children. That’s the
guy they’re giving their “ethics in government” award to.

After
he had done his genocidal work in Afghanistan, Obama moved on to
Libya in order to steal their oil. Obama launched his war against
Libya and exterminated about 50,000 Libyans – needlessly for no
reason except Obama wanted to steal Libya’s oil. Indeed it was
outright genocide for Black Africans living in Libya that Obama
perpetrated upon them. Obama destroyed Libya as a State completely.
It no longer exists and we the have the massive refugee crisis coming
out of Libya with thousands of Africans – Blacks, and Arabs –
drowning in the Mediterranean all thanks to Obama this war criminal.

After
he was done with Libya, then Obama moved on to Syria and destroyed
Syria. He worked with his jihadi terrorists to overthrow the
government of Syria and create a total catastrophe. Maybe 500,000
Syrians have been murdered because of Obama, and that country is a
catastrophe today. The battles still go on. We have no idea what’s
going to happen over there. 


Just like he did in Libya, Obama used
jihadi extremists to wage his wars for him. And America in Libya,
became the air force for Obama’s jihadi extremists. Then he turned
them on Syria and there the death and destruction by Obama goes on
today. A second state that Obama has pretty much destroyed all by
himself with his jihadi extremists – Genghis Khan and His Horde of
Mongols.

Now,
we come to Yemen started by Obama. Massive death and destruction in
Yemen right now as we speak today. Obama supported Saudi Arabia and
the UAE against Yemen and has killed close to 10,000 Houthis.
Outright genocide. All to steal their oil and set off a humanitarian
catastrophe in Yemen. Maybe 2 million Yemenis over there are
suffering from cholera. It’s the largest outbreak of cholera in the
world today. And they are starving. Obama starved them to death.
There’s an embargo on them right now. They can’t even eat. Obama
started this policy.

I
could go on here forever but I’m not going to because I teach
Obama’s atrocities to my law students. I think we could have no
better indication of where Obama really stands than the eulogy he
gave last weekend in honor of the war criminal and warmonger John
McCain. John McCain was a war criminal. He bombed Hanoi killing
innocent civilians when he was shot down. Outright war criminal. And
when he got home McCain mongered for every war the U.S. ever waged
since then including in Syria and supporting Obama’s Nazis in
Ukraine. Let us recall John McCain’s theme song: “Bomb, bomb,
bomb! Bomb, bomb, Iran!” Sixty million people and McCain did his
best to start a war against them and kill them. Obama then appeared
there to give a eulogy in support of this long-standing war criminal
and warmonger.

Who
else was there? Bush Jr. another Genghis Khan and His Horde of
Mongols. They’re best buddies – Bush Jr and Obama. Who else did
they trot out to honor McCain? Henry Kissinger! The three of them,
yes, they all spoke right after each other: Kissinger, Bush Jr., and
Obama. Kissinger of the genocidal Vietnam War. Murdering 58,000 young
men of my generation and exterminating 3 million Vietnamese. I call
him Hank Half-An-Eichmann Kissinger. I say that from personal
experience. I went through the exact same Ph.D. program at Harvard
that produced Kissinger before me. They gave me Kissinger’s Old
Office at Harvard’s Center for International Affairs. 


“There but
for the grace of God go I!” So here we have three major warmongers
and war criminals honoring a fourth. You have Kissinger, Bush Jr. and
Obama honoring McCain. Well as I say: Warbirds of a feather flock
together!

I
have one message for Obama that I want to deliver him here today
personally as a lawyer and a law professor and a graduate of Harvard
Law School:

might have been found on another 9/11, 28 years before, when the U.S.
in Chile took a decisive step down the road to empire.

Sept. 11

NEW
YORK — Of apartheid South Africa’s myriad atrocities,
one of the most medieval was a system in which white settlers plied
their farmworkers with alcohol in lieu of wages. Known by the
Afrikaans word for tot, or drink, the dop not only
kept workers docile — and wages low — but, in fostering
widespread and chronic dependency, the practice bordered on
enslavement, manacling workers to their addictions and hence their
oppression.

A
progressive white South African lawyer told me that shortly after
voters of all races went to the polls to repeal apartheid in 1994, he
managed to purchase a Cape Town vineyard as part of his lifelong
ambition to create award-winning wines. His first order of business
was to professionalize the operations; so, soon after he closed the
deal to buy the vineyard, he gathered up all 15 farmworkers and
announced that he would end the dop and pay their
wages, in full.

Seven
walked off in disgust, he said.

This
story is the perfect metaphor for America in the aftermath of the
terrorist attack that occurred 17 years ago today. An entire nation
stared into the abyss on 9-11 and, like a sloppy drunk waking up in a
pool of his own vomit, saw its image reflected in the wreckage as
though for the first time. But rather than facing our demons, owning
our failures, and acknowledging the outsized role we’ve played in
the suffering of others, we simply sidled up to the bar for another
drink. Like the inebriates who walked off a South African farm, ours
is an Empire in denial and poor health, doubling down on our most
self-destructive impulses, stumbling towards an inevitable, ugly end.

In
an interview months after 9-11, Osama bin Laden warned:

The
U.S. government will lead the American people — and the West in
general — into an unbearable hell and a choking life.”

 A
9/11 less remembered

Ironically,
if we could pinpoint the date that United States took its first drink
it would almost certainly be September 11, 1973, as General Augusto
Pinochet’s troops stormed Chile’s presidential palace. Organized
by Henry Kissinger and the CIA, the coup targeted Chile’s popular
socialist President Salvador Allende, who the Nixon administration
feared was another Fidel Castro in-the-making. As the attack
unfolded, workers in the basement of a Santiago publishing house shop
were hard at work printing what was to be the military junta’s
500-page economic plan.

Believing
himself to be a messianic figure, Pinochet put his faith in a coterie
of young Chilean advisers who had trained under Milton Friedman at
the University of Chicago’s School of Economics, the academic
vanguard of neo-classical economics. With his bloody crackdown on
dissidents, artists, college students and union leaders, Pinochet’s
repressive regime censored the press, banned labor unions and
political opposition parties, murdered an estimated 5,000 leftists,
tortured another 30,000 and handed the “Chicago Boys” – as they
came to be known – a blank check to remake Allende’s nationalized
economy, and return the country at South America’s southwestern
edge into the Empire’s orbit.

Nearly
15 years before economists coined the phrase “Washington
consensus,” and a decade before Reagan’s trickle-down policies
began dismantling the New Deal in the U.S., Chile was the guinea pig
for anti-Keynesian macroeconomic policies designed to fatten
corporations’ share of global wealth. Pinochet slashed duties on
imports, from an average tariff rate of 94 percent in 1973 to 10
percent by 1979. He privatized all but two dozen of Chile’s 300
state-owned banks, as well as utilities and entitlements such as
social security. By 1979, he had cut public spending almost in half
and public investment by nearly 14 percent. He lowered taxes,
restricted union activities and returned more than a third of the
land seized under Allende’s land-reform program.

Monetary
policy was liberalized on two important fronts. First, Pinochet
allowed “hot money” — speculation on the currency market — to
flow in and out of the country without obstacle. And in 1979 he fixed
the exchange rate for Chile’s peso, requiring the central bank to
keep $1 in reserve for every 39 pesos printed. This kept the bank
from merely printing money to pay bills and curbed an inflation rate
that had soared to nearly 400 percent annually under Allende.

Pinochet’s
reforms worked like a fast-acting virus. A recession in 1975 caused
Chile’s economy to shrink by 13 percent, its greatest decline since
the Great Depression. The recovery that followed was fueled largely
by foreign cash, which poured into the country as investors gobbled
up utilities and stashed money in Chile’s currency markets. The
prices of imports fell sharply; between 1975 and 1982 the number of
foreign cars sold in Chile tripled. Domestic manufacturing shriveled
by 30 percent. Domestic savings plummeted. Wages fell, and the income
gap between rich and poor widened by a factor of 50.

By
1982, Chile had accumulated $16 billion in foreign debt — nearly
$42 billion in today’s dollars — and foreign investment
represented a quarter of the country’s gross domestic product. The
money flowing into the country flowed out just as easily, to pay
debts and bills for imported goods and through capital flight as
investors soured on Chile’s currency market. The economy had
overheated and was now in a meltdown.

With
a third of the workforce unemployed and unrest growing, by 1984
Pinochet began to “reform the reforms,” the Chilean economist
Ricardo Ffrench-Davis said in a 2003 interview.

Pinochet
allowed the peso to float and reinstated restrictions on the movement
of capital in and out of the country. He introduced banking
legislation, and ratcheted up spending on research and development
efforts through quasi-governmental institutions and other
collaborations between the public and private sectors — creating,
as one example, the billion-dollar salmon farming industry out of
whole cloth.

Still,
Chile’s economic woes persisted. By 1989, real wages had declined
by 40 percent from 1973, and the percentage of the population living
in poverty had doubled to 40 percent. The number of Chileans without
adequate housing had also climbed to 40 percent, up 13 percentage
points from Allende’s final year in office. The country’s poor
consumed 1,629 calories per-day-on average, compared to 2,019 in
1973.

Ill-fed,
and ill-housed, Chileans began to refer to the cadre of advisers not
as the Chicago Boys but as Si, Cago; Voy — which
translates to “Yes, I shit; I go.”

A
plebiscite in 1989 ended Pinochet’s rule and Chileans gradually
began to reorganize their economy. Since 1990, it has consistently
been Latin America’s strongest performer. But in its violent,
fascist crackdown on the left and its fealty to Wall Street bankers,
Chile under Pinochet presaged the entirety of the United States’
global class war against workers — in Argentina and Zambia; Flint
and Venezuela; Philadelphia to Greece; Haiti, Iraq, Ukraine,
Honduras; Russia in its post-Cold war transitional period, and South
Africa after the collapse of apartheid.

The
two 9/11s 28 years apart bracket the United States’ descent into
madness. Much like the vintner’s abolition of the dop,
the downing of the Twin Towers should’ve triggered some
soul-searching in the United States, and an examination of our
accumulation of stuff through the dispossession of
other human beings. As we mourn the losses on that Indian-summer day
in 2001, what we need to contemplate is redemption, not revenge —
and how we might begin to rejoin a human community that we’ve
wronged, again and again and again.

McCaine. Niet vreemd dus dat ze woedend is over de hysterische
aandacht voor een paar seconden video van de begrafenis ceremonie,
waarin massamoordenaar George W. Bush snoep geeft aan Michelle Obama.

of this writing, a tweet by disgraced
Broadway fraud convict Roland
Scahill has 90 thousand shares and 362 thousand likes, which if
you’re not used to Twitter is a ridiculously high amount that
nobody generally hits. The tweet features nothing but four seconds of
video footage from the John McCain funeral, and the caption “George
W. Bush sneaking a piece of candy to Michelle Obama is warming my
heart.”

That’s
it. That’s all it took to win Twitter for the day. Those four
seconds of footage have been circulated around TV news stations to
‘ooh’s and ‘ahh’s of fawning establishment pundits yammering
incessantly about how the death of War Hero John McCain™ has let
everyone Put Aside Our Political Differences™ and Come Together As
Americans™ to celebrate the life of a man who dedicated
his entire political career to sowing
death, suffering and devastation at
every opportunity. A war criminal giving a piece of candy to the wife
of another war criminal at the funeral of a war criminal is all it
took to get mainstream American brains gushing with dopamine and
oxytocin.

Because
that’s how compartmentalized Americans are from the reality of what
war is and what it means. The explosions, the screams, the charred
and shredded human bodies, the chaos and displacement and all the
suffering, terrorism, slavery and rape that necessarily always comes
with it, the million Iraqis killed under Bush, the unfathomable
humanitarian disasters created in Libya and Syria under Obama, all
the devastation created in all
the military interventions McCain
helped push for, all of that is so peripheral and distant in American
consciousness that it can be dismissed with a wave of the hand and a
piece of fucking candy.

And
it isn’t really their fault. The more woke Americans who’ve grown
to resent their brainwashed countrymen hate it when I say this, but
it isn’t. It’s not a coincidence that the nation with the
most powerful military in the history of civilization and the most
billionaires in the history of civilization also happens to have the
most sophisticated propaganda system in the history of civilization,
and that propaganda system is pointed at them from a very early age
to normalize the war machine that is used to protect the empire of
the billionaires.

The
United States is the most important player in the imperial alliance
centralized around it, and therefore its citizenry are necessarily
the most propagandized people on earth. You can’t have the populace
of such an important nation suddenly demanding that troops be brought
home and the resources being spent on bombs be spent eliminating the
economic inequality on
which your empire depends instead,
so you’ve got to get into their minds early and aggressively to
manipulate the way they think about war. Everything from flag
worship to
the fetishization
of military personnel to Pentagon-controlled
Hollywood movies are
used from early childhood to install the assumption that their
nation’s bloated military budget is only ever going toward good and
never evil, and to prime their minds for the war propaganda they will
be fed by the plutocrat-owned news media.

after day after day after day, from when they are small until their
dying breath, the American psyche is pummeled with this relentless
assault upon its natural sense of empathy and reason. So it’s
understandable that every now and then one of them snaps and shoots
up a building full of people, inflicting the same kind of mass murder
at home they’ve been trained to accept as normal abroad. And it’s
understandable that they’d be duped into thinking the monstrous
evils that have been inflicted upon our world by Bush, Obama and
McCain (and Henry Kissinger, who also
made an appearance at
the funeral) are innocent little oopsie-poopsies which pale in
comparison to something so monumentally heroic as correcting a woman
who called Obama an Arab once, or sharing a piece of candy.

But
if Americans are ever going to escape from the chains of oligarchy,
they’re necessarily going to have to cease consenting to
imperialism. Without their resources being funneled into hundreds of
bases and countless military and intelligence operations overseas,
there’d be a chance to fix America’s infrastructure and make sure
everyone gets what they need. Without the US economy being propped up
with the barrel of a gun to ensure the success of globalist agendas,
Americans would have a chance to create a real economy based on real
things that they themselves own and control. Without the ability to
use the US war machine to advance their agendas, the oligarchs who
control America’s economy, government and media will be unable to
rule over the increasingly wealthy and powerful masses. Without the
best technology and the brainpower of the brightest Americans being
sucked up into the war machine, the nation’s most creative minds
will lose their incentive to point their ingenuity at death and
destruction, and can point it at useful innovations instead.

And
then the propaganda machine which
holds the whole empire together will
be useless and impotent, and the shackles on American minds will
crumble. And the rest of the empire will follow.

first step in this direction is to cease normalizing the monsters who
facilitate human butchery around the world. Stop believing they need
to be regarded as “heroes” just because they wore a uniform at
some point. Stop believing that it’s ever okay to push for needless
wars which butcher innocent men, women and children. Stop believing a
man can facilitate the slaughter of a million people and not have
that clearly be his single defining legacy. Stop believing that it’s
worse to criticize a warmonger than it is to be a warmonger.

Because
if it’s up to the bastards who rule us currently, they’ll happily
keep shushing us into polite silence while continuing to march us
along our current ecocidal, omnicidal trajectory until it gets us all
killed. They’ll make saints of warmongering empire loyalists and
uphold their murderous lives as exemplary and virtuous, and if we say
we want to move things in a different direction we’ll be shouted
down with buzzwords about heroism and decency until we shut up. If we
leave it up to these pricks, we’ll become the first species to go
extinct due to politeness.

Stop
letting them normalize and elevate people who embody the very essence
of the imperial oppression machine. Stop letting them humanize
psychopathic war whores. Stop letting them twist this into a
conversation about respecting those with different political opinions

Venezolaanse verkiezingen door Maduro gewonnen, ondanks economische oorlogvoering VS

In
het hieronder opgenomen artikel aandacht voor alle (gewelddadige)
bemoeienis van de VS met Midden- en Zuid-Amerika. Naar aanleiding van
de verkiezingen in Venezuela is de aandacht met name op dit land
gericht, een land dat zich probeert te verdedigen tegen de
economische oorlogvoering van de VS, een oorlogvoering die al jaren
duurt en die m.n. het volk keihard treft….

Zo
bevoorraden de VS winkelketens voor levensmiddelen al een paar jaar
hun winkels niet meer, dit onder druk van de VS regering (ingevoerd
onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama….). Medicijnen, veelal afkomstig uit de VS
zijn bijna niet meer te krijgen, intussen zijn door het gebrek aan medicijnen zelfs al mensen overleden…. Je had het al begrepen: dit alles om zo een
ontevreden bevolking te kweken, die zich tegen de democratisch
gekozen regering zou moeten keren…..

Lullig
voor de VS, maar ook nu weer heeft de
Venezolaanse bevolking gekozen voor een regering onder Maduro, de
huidige linkse president….. Niet zo vreemd, zeker als je ziet wat
Chavez, de voorganger van Maduro en Maduro zelf hebben gedaan voor de
grote arme onderlaag: fatsoenlijke huisvesting, scholing en medische
zorg, plus een inkomen waar men mee rond kan komen (al is dat door de eerder genoemde VS
bemoeienis een stuk moeilijker geworden)….  

Voornoemde
zaken, belangenbehartiging voor het arme deel van Venezuela, zijn uiteraard een doorn in het oog van de VS, dat zelf kampt
met een enorm grote arme onderlaag, die men maar al te graag onder de
duim houdt…… Een zaak waarvan het beest Trump een sport heeft gemaakt,
met veel leugens wist hij deze mensen te paaien om op hem te stemmen, maar zoals verwacht: van
zijn beloften komt niet veel terecht, iets dat hij aan anderen wijt
en niet aan het smerige onmenselijke neoliberale beleid dat hij
voert…..

Afgelopen zondag, werden er verkiezingen gehouden in Venezuela, reden voor de reguliere media in ons land in dit geval Radio1 en de nationale radiozenders van Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië (plus uiteraard de andere westerse massamedia) de laatste weken Venezuela en dan met name president Maduro te demoniseren….. De oppositie boycot deze verkiezingen, daar men van tevoren wist dat Maduro deze verkiezingen zou winnen….. 

Volgens deze nationale radiozenders zouden deze verkiezingen niet eerlijk zijn verlopen >> dat de VN deze verkiezingen controleerde noemde men er maar niet bij……. (daarover zo meer)

OP WDR liet men een correspondent horen die sprak ‘met een willekeurige passant’. Deze liet weten dat er geen voedsel meer te krijgen is en er een groot gebrek is aan medicijnen, dit is de schuld van falend overheidsbeleid, aldus de vrouwelijke passant……. De schuld van de overheid of de schuld van de VS dat al jaren een economische oorlog voert tegen Venezuela, zoals hierboven beschreven….???

Na de verkiezingen is het helemaal bal, de reguliere westerse media schreeuwen het uit met o.a. de volgende woorden: -de verkiezingen zijn frauduleus verlopen, -de verkiezingen zijn gestolen door Maduro, de verkiezingen waren een schijnvertoning en -stemmen zouden zijn gekocht*. Wat al deze media er niet bijvertellen, is het feit dat VN waarnemers deze verkiezingen hebben gecontroleerd en tot op heden heb ik geen verklaring gehoord van internationale waarnemers dat de verkiezingen frauduleus zijn verlopen, zoals dot ook in 2012 niet het geval was, terwijl ook toen veel organen van diezelfde media stelden dat de verkiezingen waren gestoken….. 

Marc Bessems van de ´onafhankelijke´ NOS kon natuurlijk niet achterblijven en bakte ze donkerbruin, volgens hem stond de uitslag al maanden geleden vast….. Ja Bessems, het was maanden geleden al bekend dat Maduro zou winnen, vandaar ook dat oppositiepartijen de verkiezingen hebben geboycot, oppositiepartijen die willens en wetens geweld op de straten van Venezuela brachten (zo hebben ze zelfs tegenstanders met benzine overgoten en in brand gestoken, dit nog naast het in brand steken van een geboortekliniek, terwijl daar moeders met baby’s aanwezig waren….)….. 

´Helaas´ voor deze figuren was en is het grootste deel van de bevolking arm en ja voor die groep heeft Maduro, zoals zijn voorganger Chavez, heel veel gedaan nadat ze een enorm lange tijd werden vertrapt door uiterst rechtse regeringen en dictaturen, kijk dat vergeet het overgrote deel van deze mensen niet!

Bessems durft als vele anderen te stellen dat het Maduro regime een wanbeleid heeft gevoerd en dat dit de oorzaak is van de economische ellende in Venezuela…… Bessems moet weten dat de VS hiervoor één op één verantwoordelijk is, ongelofelijk dat deze ´onafhankelijke journalist´ dergelijke leugens keer op keer durft te herhalen, sterker nog: hij durft in feite zelfs te stellen dat de regering Maduro liegt als het de VS beschuldigt van economische oorlogvoering tegen Venezuela………. (wedden dat Bessems goed bevriend is met welgestelde, anti-socialistische, anti-Maduro Venezolanen??)

US is Definitely Meddling in the Venezuelan Election

(CN Op-ed) — Venezuelan
President Nicolás Maduro is the frontrunner in the presidential
elections that will take place on Sunday. If past pronouncements and
practice by the United States are any indication, every effort will
be made to oust an avowed socialist from the the U.S. “backyard.”

This
week, the leftist president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, tweeted:
“Before the elections they (U.S. and allies) will carry out violent
actions supported by the media and after the elections they will try
a military invasion with Armed Forces from neighboring countries.”

U.S.
antipathy towards the Venezuelan government started with the election
of Hugo Chávez in 1998, followed by a brief and unsuccessful
U.S.-backed coup in 2002. Chávez made the magnanimous, but
politically imprudent, gesture of pardoning the golpistas,
who are still trying to achieve by extra-parliamentary means what
they have been unable to realize democratically. After Chávez died
in 2013, the Venezuelans elected Maduro to carry on what has become
known as the Bolivarian Revolution.

The
Phantom Menace

In
2015 then U.S. President Barack Obama declared “a national
emergency” because of a supposed Venezuelan threat to the U.S. The
U.S. has military bases to the west of Venezuela in Colombia and to
the east in the Dutch colonial islands. The Fourth Fleet patrols
Venezuela’s Caribbean coast. Yet somehow in the twisted logic of
imperialism, the phantom of Venezuela posed a menacing,
“extraordinary threat” to the U.S.

Each
year Obama renewed and deepened sanctions against Venezuela under the
National Emergencies Act. Taking no chances that his successor might
not be sufficiently hostile to Venezuela, Obama prematurely renewed
the sanctions his last year in office even though the sanctions would
not have expired until two months into Trump’s tenure.

The
fear was that presumptive U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson might
try to normalize U.S. -Venezuelan relations to negotiate an oil deal
between Venezuela and his former employer Exxon. As it turns out, the
Democrats need not have feared Trump going soft on regime change.

Last
August, Donald Trump publicly raised the “military option” to
overthrow Venezuela’s democratically-elected government. Then David
Smilde of the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) counseled for
regime change, not by military means, but by “deepening the current
sanctions” to “save Venezuela.” The somewhat liberal,
inside-the-beltway NGO argued against a direct military invasion
because the Venezuelan military would resist, not because such an act
is the gravest violation of international law.

Meanwhile
the sanctions have taken a punishing toll on the Venezuelan people,
even causing
death.
Sanctions are designed, in Richard Nixon’s blood-curdling words, to
“make the economy scream” so that the people will abandon their
democratically elected government for one vetted by the U.S.

                        

Maduro:
Phony threat to the U.S.

In
January, Trump’s first State of the Union address called for regime
change of leftist governments in Latin America, boasting, “My
government has imposed harsh sanctions on the communist and socialist
dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela.” Hearing these stirring words,
both Democrats and Republicans burst out in thunderous applause.

“Dictatorships,”
as the term is wielded by the U.S. government and mainstream media,
should be understood as countries that try to govern in the interests
of their own peoples rather than privileging the dictates of the U.S.
State Department and the prerogatives of international capital.

Attack
of the Clones

In
addition to summoning Venezuela’s sycophantic domestic opposition,
who support sanctions against their own people, the U.S. has gone on
the offensive using the regional Lima Group to destabilize Venezuela.
The group was established last August in Lima, the capital of Peru,
as a block to oppose Venezuela.

The
eighth Summit of the Americas was held in Lima in April under the
lofty slogan of “democratic governance against corruption.”
Unfortunately for the imperialists, the president of the host country
was unable to greet the other U.S. clones. A few days earlier he had
been forced to resign because of corruption. Venezuelan President
Maduro was barred from attending.

Along
with Peru and the U.S. ’ ever faithful junior partner Canada, other
members of the Lima Group are:

  • Mexico,
    a prime participant of the U.S. -sponsored War on Drugs, is plagued
    with drug cartel violence. The frontrunner for the July presidential
    election is left-of-center Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), who
    is widely believed to have won the last two elections only to have
    them stolen from him.     

  • Panama’s
    government is a direct descendent of the one installed on a U.S.
    warship when the U.S. invaded Panama in 1989. Recall the     triggering
    incident     that
    unleashed U.S. bombs and     26,000
    troops     into
    Panama against a defense force of 3,000: a GI in civilian clothes
    was fatally shot running a military checkpoint and another GI and
    his wife were assaulted. What similarly grave affront to the global
    hegemon might precipitate a comparable military response for
    Venezuela? Panama imposed sanctions against Venezuela in a spat in
    April, accusing Venezuela of money laundering. Panama is a regional
    money laundering center for the illicit drug trade (some alleged
    through a     Trump-owned
    hotel    ). 

  • Argentina
    elected Mauricio Macri president in 2015. He immediately sold the
    country out to the vulture funds and the IMF while imposing severe
    austerity measures on working people. The economy has tanked,
    reversing the gains of the previous left-leaning presidencies of
    Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández. Military and diplomatic
    deference to the U.S. has become the order of the day. Macri has
    negotiated installation of two U.S. military bases in Argentina,
    first with Obama and now with Trump.     

  • Brazil
    deposed its left-leaning, democratically elected President Dilma
    Rousseff in a 2016 parliamentary coup. Her successor, the unelected
    Michel Temer, has imposed austerity measures and cooperated with the
    U.S. in joint military exercises along the Brazilian border with
    Venezuela. Temer suffers from single digit popularity ratings and is
    barred from running for public office due to a corruption
    conviction. Former left-leaning president “Lula” da Silva is the
    frontrunner in October’s presidential election but was imprisoned
    in April by Temer’s government.     

  • Chile
    was the victim of the U.S. -backed coup, which overthrew the elected
    left-leaning government of Salvador Allende in 1973. A reign of
    terror followed with the extreme rightwing government of Gen.
    Augusto Pinochet killing thousands. An economic and diplomatic
    destabilization campaign coordinated by Washington set the stage for
    the coup. The Chilean regime-change scenario could be the model for
    Venezuela. The rightwing opposition in Venezuela torched a maternity
    hospital with mothers and babies inside and even poured gasoline on
    suspected Chávez supporters,     burning
    them alive    . 

  • Colombia
    is the U.S. ’ closest ally in the region, the recipient of the
    most U.S. military aid, and the source of the greatest amount of
    illicit drugs afflicting the U.S. . The Colombian government has
    flaunted its recent peace accords with the FARC and continues to be
    a world leader with     7
    million     internally
    displaced persons and political assassinations of trade union
    leaders, human rights workers, and journalists. In cooperation with
    the U.S. , Colombia has been provocatively massing troops along its
    border with Venezuela.     

  • Costa
    Rica is a neoliberal state that has been a staunch silent partner of
    U.S. imperialism ever since it served as a base for the Contra war
    against the Sandinista government of Nicaragua.     

  • Guatemala
    is a major source of undocumented immigrants fleeing violence into
    the relative safety of the U.S. . Femicide is rampant as is criminal
    impunity, all legacies of the U.S. -backed dirty war of genocide
    from the 1960s through the ‘80s, which claimed some 200,000 Mayan
    lives.     

  • Honduras’
    left-leaning President Zelaya was deposed in a U.S. -backed coup in
    2009. In the aftermath of rightwing repression and domestic
    violence, Honduras earned the title of murder capital of the world.
    The current rightwing president was reelected last November in an
    election so blatantly fraudulent that even the Organization of
    American States (OAS)     failed to
    endorse the results.     

  • Paraguay
    is the site of the first of the rightwing parliamentary coups in the
    region when left-leaning President Fernando Lugo was deposed in
    2012.

Pinochet:
Torturer and Murderer backed by U.S.

Such
is the nature of the right-wing states allied against Venezuela in
contemporary Latin America. Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of this
right tide is the willingness of Brazil and Argentina to allow U.S.
military installations in their border areas as well as conducting
joint U.S. -led military exercises with contingents from Panama,
Colombia and other countries.

Cuba,
Bolivia, and Nicaragua are Venezuela’s few remaining regional
allies, all of which have been subject to U.S. -backed regime-change
schemes. Most recently, the Nicaraguan government undertook modest
measures to increase workers’ and employers’ contributions but
lower benefits. It led to violent demonstrations. Some sources
hostile to
the Ortega government labelled the protests as “made in the U.S.
A.” In the face of such protests, the government rescinded the
changes on April 23.

The
Empire Strikes Back

In
early April, the U.S. Southern Command conducted a series of military
exercises, dubbed “Fused Response,” just 10 miles off the
Venezuelan coast, simulating an invasion.

Later
that month, Juan Cruz, Special Assistant to President Trump and
Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs, was asked whether the
U.S. government supports
a military coup in
Venezuela. Speaking for the White House and dripping with imperial
arrogance, he responded affirmatively:

“If
you look at the history of Venezuela, there’s never been a seminal
movement in Venezuela’s history, politics, that did not involve the
military. And so it would be naïve for us to think that a solution
in Venezuela wouldn’t in some fashion include a very strong nod –
at a minimum – strong nod from the military, a whisper in the ear,
a coaxing or a nudging, or something a lot stronger than that.”

Across
the Atlantic on May 3, the European Parliament demanded Venezuela
suspend presidential elections. Four days later, U.S. Vice President
Pence called on the OAS to expel Venezuela. Adding injury to insult,
the U.S. announced yet another round of sanctions. Then the next day,
U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley joined the chorus calling on
President Maduro to cancel the presidential election and resign.

Far
more blatant and frightening is the Plan
to Overthrow the Venezuelan Dictatorship – Masterstroke, dated
February 23, 2018.Masterstroke was
leaked on the website Voltairenet.org and
picked up by Stella Calloni in the reliable and respected Resumen
Latinoamericano.

Although Masterstroke is
unverified, the contents as reported by Calloni are entirely
consistent with U.S. policy and pronouncements:

“The
document signed by the head of the U.S. Southern Command demands
making the Maduro government unsustainable by forcing him to give up,
negotiate or escape. This Plan to end in very short terms the
so-called ‘dictatorship’ of Venezuela calls
for, ‘Increase internal instability to critical levels,
intensifying the decapitalization of the country, the escape of
foreign capital and the deterioration of the national currency,
through the application of new inflationary measures that increase
this deterioration.’”

That
is, blame the Venezuelan government for the conditions imposed upon
it by its enemies.

Masterstroke calls
for, “Continuing to harden the condition within the (Venezuelan)
Armed Forces to carry out a coup d’état, before the end of 2018,
if this crisis does not cause the dictatorship to collapse or if the
dictator (Maduro) does not decide to step aside.”

Failing
an internal coup, Masterstroke plans an international
military invasion: “Uniting Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Panama
to contribute a good number of troops, make use of their geographic
proximity…”

A
New Hope

With
the urging of the Pope and under the auspices of the government of
the Dominican Republic, the Maduro government and elements of the
opposition agreed to sit down to negotiate last January in the hopes
of ending the cycle of violence and the deterioration of living
conditions in Venezuela.

By
early February they had come to a tentative agreement to hold
elections. The Maduro government initially opposed a UN election
observation team as a violation of national sovereignty, but then
accepted it as a concession to the opposition. The opposition in turn
would work to end the unilateral sanctions by the U.S. , Canada, and
the EU, which are so severely crippling the daily life of ordinary
Venezuelans. Two years of adroit diplomacy by the Maduro government
with the less extreme elements of the opposition were bearing fruit.

The
agreement had been crafted and a meeting was called for the
government and the opposition to sign on. The government came to the
final meeting, but not the opposition. The opposition as good clones
of Washington had gotten
a call from
their handlers to bail.

In
a damned-if-you-do/damned-if-you-don’t scenario, the U.S. first
accused Venezuela of not scheduling presidential elections. Then
elections were scheduled, but too early for the U.S. . Then the date
of the elections was moved to April and then extended to May. No
matter what, the U.S. would not abide by any elections in
Venezuela.Ipso factoelections are considered fraudulent by
U.S. if the people might vote for the wrong candidate.

Mesa
de la Unidad Democrática(MUD),
the coalition of Venezuelan opposition groups allied with and
partially funded by the U.S., are accordingly boycotting Sunday’s
election and are putting pressure on Henri Falcón to withdraw his
candidacy. Falcón is Maduro’s main competition in the election.
MUD has already concluded that the election is fraudulent and are
doing all they can to discourage voting.

CNBC,
reflecting the Washington consensus, expects the U.S. to directly
target the Venezuelan oil industry immediately after the election in
what they describe as “a huge sucker
punch to
Maduro’s socialist administration, which is depending almost
entirely on crude sales to try and decelerate a deepening economic
crisis.”

Ever
hopeful and always militant, Maduro launched the new Petro
cryptocurrency and revalued the country’s traditional currency, the
Bolivar, in March. The Petro is collateralized on Venezuela’s vast
mineral resources: the largest petroleum reserves in the world and
large reserves of gold and other precious metals. The U.S.
immediately accused Venezuela of sinisterly trying to circumvent the
sanctions…which is precisely the intent of the Petro and other
economic reforms, some of which are promised for after the
presidential election.

The
Force Awakens

Latin
America has been considered the U.S. empire’s proprietary backyard
since the proclamation of the Monroe Document in 1823, reaffirmed by
John F. Kennedy’s Alliance for Progress in 1961, and asserted by
today’s open military posturing by President Trump.

The
so-called Pink Tide of left-leaning governments spearheaded by
Venezuela in the early part of this century served as a
counter-hegemonic force. By any objective estimation that force has
been ebbing but can awaken.

Before
Chávez, all of Latin America suffered under neoliberal regimes
except Cuba. If Maduro is overthrown, a major obstacle to
re-establishing this hemispheric wide neoliberalism would be gone.

The
future of Venezuela’s Bolivarian Revolution is pivotal to the
future of the counter-hegemonic project, which is why it is the
empire’s prime target in the Western Hemisphere. If the Venezuelan
government falls, all Latin American progressive movements could
suffer immensely: AMLO’s campaign in Mexico, the resistance in
Honduras and Argentina, maybe the complete end of the peace
accords in Colombia, a left alternative to Lenin Moreno in Ecuador,
the Sandinista social programs in Nicaragua, the struggle for Lula’s
presidency in Brazil, and even Morales and the indigenous
movements in Bolivia.

Kissinger:
Issue too important for democracy.

As
U.S. National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger said in 1970: “I
don’t see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist
due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too
important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for
themselves.”

Saoedische kroonprins Mohammed bin Salman, ofwel MBS, is op
bezoek in de VS en wordt daar met alle eer ontvangen door een groot
aantal vips en organisaties……

Onder
de vips bevinden zich figuren als de Clintons, beiden
oorlogsmisdadiger, Oprah Winfrey, VN secretaris-generaal Guterrez,
Henry Kissinger (als de presidenten Clinton, Obama en Trump en hun voorgangers, een oorlogsmisdadiger die als Obama de Nobelprijs
voor ‘de Vrede’ ontving…), Rupert Murdoch (eigenaar groot aantal
nepnieuws organen, ofwel reguliere mediaorganen), psychopaat Pompeo
e.a. (zoals je begrijpt zijn ook de voornoemde oorlogsmisdadigers zonder meer als psychopaten aan te merken)

Voorts
werd MBS ontvangen door zionistisch joodse organisaties, waaronder
organisaties die geld steken in de illegale Israëlische
nederzettingen op de West Bank, wat nog eens onderstreept hoe goed de
banden zijn tussen de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël en de
reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië…….

Wat
dat laatste betreft: hoe is het mogelijk dat terreurgroepen als IS
zich niet keren tegen het Saoedische bewind……. Blijkbaar is het
geld dat men van het moorddadige Saoedische bewind ontvangt een stuk
belangrijker dan de ‘waarden en idealen’ waar deze terreurgroepen voor
zeggen te staan en al helemaal veel belangrijker dan het verdrukte Palestijnse volk……..

Overigens
zegt de ontvangst van moordenaar, verkrachter en martelbeul MBS veel
over de VS, een ‘land’ waarvan de opvolgende regeringen keer op keer
durven te zeggen dat ze opkomen voor vrijheid (inclusief de vrijheid van
meningsuiting) en democratie……. Waar de VS het gore lef heeft andere dictators en zelfs democratieën de les te lezen, desnoods met geweld en voor dat laatste is niet veel nodig zoals de (recente) geschiedenis laat zien (althans als deze landen anti-VS zijn)……. Alsof men in de VS niet weet dat
S-A het overgrote deel van de terreurgroepen in het Midden-Oosten

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) recently met with leaders of a
number of right-wing Jewish organizations, including the notorious
pro-Israel lobby AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee),

Aside
from AIPAC, MBS also met with a number of other groups that
have donated millions
to illegal settlement building. These groups are also responsible for
launching efforts to quash the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions
(BDS) movement and include the likes of the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) and the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA), as well
leaders from the Conference of Presidents, B’nai B’rith, and the
American Jewish Committee (AJC).

If
ever proof was needed that Saudi Arabia has completely abandoned the
Palestinian people in favor of its longstanding commitment to focus
its resources on its regional power struggle against Iran, this is
it. AIPAC is one of the primary
backers of legislation in
the U.S. that seeks to target and stifle BDS,
allegedly spending millions in the process.

Between
2012 and 2015, JFNA reportedly gave
almost $6 million to advance illegal Israeli settlements, allegedly
also aiding Jewish families suspected or convicted of violence
against Palestinian people.

This
latest development is part of an overall
pattern of
a continued
strengthening of ties between
Israel and Saudi Arabia (even though Saudi Arabia technically doesn’t
recognize Israel as a state). What we should worry about, however, is
the likelihood that Saudi Arabia will be expecting something from
Israel in return for MBS’ newfound partnership with Israel, and it
shouldn’t be too hard to venture a guess as to what that something
is.

As Middle
East Eye explained previously:

“Saudi
Arabia will only be able to destabilize Lebanon if it works with
Israel, the only country with the military capabilities to threaten
Lebanon’s fragile peace. Will Mohammed bin Salman go as far as
striking a deal with Israel in which he offers full normalisation in
return for Israel destroying Hezbollah and Iran in Lebanon?”

As
the Saudi-Israel alliance solidifies, expect things to heat up in
both Syria and Lebanon. The most direct way of countering Iran’s
expanding influence without going to war with Iran on Iranian soil is
through these latter two countries, and Saudi
Arabia has
had its sights set on both of them for a long time now — as has
Israel.

On
another note, MBS is also reportedly set to meet with Oprah Winfrey
and has already met with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Senator Chuck
Schumer, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, alleged war
criminal Henry Kissinger, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
the New
York Times’ Thomas
Friedman, Rupert Murdoch, CIA director Mike Pompeo (who is next in
line for the position of secretary of state), Vice President Mike
Pence, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and Jared Kushner, who MBS
allegedly bragged about
having “in his pocket.”

He
is also set to meet renowned business leaders such as Bill Gates,
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Apple’s Tim Cook, and the CEOs of
Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, Uber, the Walt Disney Company and Lockheed
Martin (no surprises
on that last one).

Venezuela: VS verandering van regime mislukt >> de Venezolanen wacht een VS invasie

Na
alle moeite die de VS zich al 20 jaar getroost om een eind te maken
aan het democratisch gekozen socialistisch bewind van Venezuela,
wijst alles erop dat de VS bezig is met Peru, Colombia en Brazilië, van wie de laatste twee landen grenzen aan Venezuela, een invasie voor te bereiden in dat land……..

Er
hebben in 2017 al vier grote militaire oefeningen plaats gevonden in Latijns Amerika en
zelfs de NAVO schijnt nu een militaire basis te hebben in
Brazilië, waarschijnlijk dezelfde als de ‘tijdelijke’ militaire VS basis in Brazilië, in de buurt waar Venezuela, Brazilië en Colombia aan elkaar grenzen…… Zoals gezegd: vorig jaar hebben er maar liefst 4 grote militaire oefeningen plaatsgevonden, met deelname van Colombia, Brazilië en Peru, alles o.l.v. de VS….. Eén van die oefeningen, ‘Operation: America United’ was zelfs de grootste militaire oefening ooit gehouden in Midden- en Zuid-Amerika (Latijns Amerika)………

Overigens heeft de VS al militaire bases in Colombia en het Caraïbisch gebied, onderhoudt daarnaast innige banden met andere landen in de buurt van Venezuela, wat dat betreft is Venezuela al omsingeld met VS militaire bases (uiteraard speelt ook Nederland weer ‘een mooie rol’ in deze…)

De
VS is al meer dan 18 jaar bezig met een economische oorlog tegen
Venezuela, al heeft deze tot nu toe weinig of niets opgeleverd wat betreft ‘regime change’. Al
onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama heeft de VS deze oorlog verscherpt en VS
bedrijven ‘dringend aangeraden’ hun supermarktketens in Venezuela
niet langer te bevoorraden. Hetzelfde deed de VS met buitenlandse
investeerders en je weet het waarschijnlijk wel, als de VS dreigt, gehoorzamen de bedrijven en instellingen, daar ze het anders wel
kunnen vergeten als bedrijf of instelling……..

Als gevolg van deze boycot is er niet alleen een groot tekort aan levensmiddelen, maar bijvoorbeeld ook aan medicijnen. Daarmee kan de VS ten overvloede nog eens worden aangewezen als een terreurstaat, die schijt heeft aan ellende onder de gewone bevolking en aan mensenrechten, zoals dit gestolen land al zo vaak elders heeft laten zien, maar zeker in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika…….

De gewelddadige demonstraties in Venezuela van vorig jaar, werden ook al door de VS georganiseerd, waar zelfs gewapende groepen uit het buitenland werden ingezet tegen politie en leger van Venezuela……

In 2002 heeft er al een militaire coup plaatsgevonden in Venezuela, die met hulp van de (arme) bevolking de kop werd ingedrukt, een coup die zoals gewoonlijk werd geregisseerd door de CIA…….

Een
militaire coup nu lijkt zeer onwaarschijnlijk ,daar het leger voor het
overgrote deel achter de socialistische regering Maduro staat.

Regime Change Fails in Venezuela: Military Coup or Invasion Next?

(CN) — Several
signals point to a possible military strike on Venezuela, with
high-ranking officials and influential politicians making clear that
it is a distinct possibility.

Speaking
at his alma mater, the University of Texas, on February 1, Secretary
of State Tillerson suggested a
potential military coup in in the country. Tillerson
then visited
allied Latin American countries urging
regime change and more economic sanctions on Venezuela. Tillerson is
also reportedly considering banning the processing or sale of
Venezuelan oil in the United States and is discouraging other
countries from buying Venezuelan oil.

In
a series of tweets, Senator Marco
Rubio,
the Republican from Florida, where many Venezuelan oligarchs live,
openly called for a military coup in Venezuela. “The world would
support the Armed Forces in #Venezuela if
they decide to protect the people & restore democracy by removing
a dictator,” the former presidential candidate tweeted.

How
absurd — remove an elected president with a military coup to
restore democracy? Does that pass the straight face test? This
refrain of Rubio and Tillerson seems to be the nonsensical public
position of U.S. policy.

The
U.S. has been seeking
regime change in
Venezuela since Hugo Chavez was elected in 1998. Trump joined
Presidents Obama and Bush before
him in continuing efforts to change the government and put in place a
U.S.-friendly oligarch government.

They
came closest in 2002
when a military coup removed Chavez. The
Commander-in-Chief of the Venezuelan military announced Chavez had
resigned and Pedro
Carmona,
of the Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce, became interim president.
Carmona dissolved the National Assembly and Supreme Court and
declared the Constitution void. The people surrounded the
presidential palace and seized television stations, Carmona resigned
and fled to Colombia. Within 47 hours, civilians and the military
restored Chavez to the presidency. The
coup was a turning point that
strengthened the Bolivarian Revolution, showed people could defeat a
coup and exposed the US and oligarchs.

U.S.
Regime Change Tactics Have Failed In Venezuela

The
U.S. and oligarchs continue their efforts to reverse the Bolivarian
Revolution. The United States has a long history of regime change
around the world and has tried all of its regime change tools in
Venezuela. So far they have failed.

Economic
War

Destroying
the Venezuelan economy has been an ongoing campaign by the US and
oligarchs. It is reminiscent
of the US coup in Chile which
ended the presidency of Salvador Allende. To create the environment
for the Chilean coup, President Nixon ordered the CIA to “make
the economy scream.”

Henry
Kissinger devised the coup noting a billion dollars of investment
were at stake. He also feared the “the insidious model effect” of
the example of Chile leading to other countries breaking from the
United States and capitalism. Kissinger’s top deputy at the
National Security Council, Viron Vaky, opposed the coup saying,
“What we propose is patently a violation of our own principles and
policy tenets .… If these principles have any meaning, we normally
depart from them only to meet the gravest threat … our survival.”

These
objections hold true regarding recent US coups, including in
Venezuela and Honduras, Ukraine and Brazil, among others. Allende
died in the coup and wrote
his last words to the people of Chile,
especially the workers, “Long live the people! Long live the
workers!” He was replaced by Augusto Pinochet, a
brutal and violent dictator.

For
decades the US
has been fighting an economic war,
“making the economy scream,” in Venezuela.

Wealthy
Venezuelans have been conducting economic sabotage aided by the US
with sanctions and other tactics. This includes hoarding
food, supplies and other necessities in
warehouses or in Colombia while Venezuelan markets are bare. The
scarcity is used to fuel protests, e.g. “The March of the Empty
Pots,” a carbon copy of marches in Chile before the September 11,
1973 coup. Economic warfare has escalated through
Obama and under
Trump,
with Tillerson now urging economic sanctions on oil.

President
Maduro recognized the economic hardship but also said sanctions
open up the opportunity for a new era of independence and
“begins the stage of post-domination by the United States, with
Venezuela again at the center of this struggle for dignity and
liberation.” The second-in-command of the Socialist Party, Diosdado
Cabello, said, “[if
they] apply sanctions, we will apply elections.”

Opposition
Protests

Another
common US regime change tool is supporting opposition protests.
The Trump
administration renewed regime change operations in
Venezuela and the anti-Maduro protests, which began under Obama, grew
more violent. The opposition protests included barricades,
snipers and murders as well as widespread injuries. When police
arrested those using violence, the US claimed Venezuela opposed free
speech and protests.

The
opposition tried to use the crack down against violence to achieve
the U.S. tactic of  dividing the military. The U.S.
and western media ignored opposition violence and
blamed the Venezuelan government instead. Violence became so extreme
it looked like the opposition
was pushing Venezuela into a Syrian-type civil war.
Instead, opposition violence backfired on them.

Violent
protests are part of U.S. regime change repertoire. This was
demonstrated in the U.S.
coup in Ukraine,
where the U.S. spent $5 billion to organize government opposition
including U.S.
and EU funding violent protesters.
This tactic was used in early US coups like the 1953
Iran coup of
Prime Minister Mossadegh. The
U.S. has admitted organizing
this coup
that ended Iran’s brief experience with democracy.
Like Venezuela, a key reason for the Iran coup was control of the
nation’s oil.

Funding
Opposition

There
has been massive
U.S. investment in creating opposition to the Venezuelan
government.
Tens of millions of dollars have been openly spent through USAID, the
National Endowment for Democracy and other related US regime change
agencies. It is unknown how much the CIA has spent from its secret
budget, but the CIA
has also been involved in Venezuela. Current
CIA director, Mike Pompeo,
said
he is “hopeful there can be a transition in Venezuela.”

The United
States has also educated leaders of opposition movements,
e.g. Leopoldo
López was
educated at private schools in the US, including the CIA-associated
Kenyon College. He was groomed at the Harvard Kennedy School of
Government and made repeated visits to the regime change agency, the
National Republican Institute.

Elections

While
the US calls Venezuela a dictatorship, it is in fact a strong
democracy with an excellent voting system. Election observers monitor
every election.

In
2016, the economic crisis led to the opposition winning a majority in
the National Assembly. One of their first acts was to pass
an amnesty law.
The law described 17 years of crimes including violent felonies and
terrorism committed by the opposition. It was an admission of crimes
back to the 2002 coup and through 2016. The law demonstrated violent
treason against Venezuela. One month later, the Supreme Court of
Venezuela ruled
the amnesty law was unconstitutional.
U.S. media, regime change advocates and anti-Venezuela human rights
groups attacked
the Supreme Court decision,
showing their alliance with the admitted criminals.

Years
of violent protests and regime change attempts, and then admitting
their crimes in an amnesty bill, have caused those opposed to the
Bolivarian Revolution to lose power and become unpopular.  In
three recent elections Maduro’s party won
regional,  local and
the Constituent
Assembly elections.

The
electoral commission announced the presidential
election will be held on April 22.
Maduro will run for re-election with the United Socialist Party.
Opposition leaders such as Henry Ramos and Henri Falcon have
expressed interest in running, but the opposition
has not decided whether to participate. Henrique
Capriles, who narrowly lost to Maduro in the last election, was
banned from running for office
because of irregularities in his campaign, including taking foreign
donations. Capriles has
been a leader of the violent protests. When his ban was announced he
called for protests to remove Maduro from office. Also banned
was Leopoldo
Lopez,
another leader of the violent protests who is under house
arrest serving
a thirteen year sentence for inciting violence.

Now,
the United States says it will not recognize the presidential
election and urges a military coup. For two years, the opposition
demanded presidential elections, but now it is unclear whether they
will participate. They know they are unpopular and Maduro is likely
to be re-elected.

Is
War Against Venezuela Coming?

A
military coup faces challenges in Venezuela as the people, including
the military, are well educated about US imperialism. Tillerson
openly urging a military coup makes it more difficult.

The
government and opposition recently negotiated a peace settlement
entitled “Democratic Coexistence Agreement for Venezuela.”
They agreed
on all of the issues including
ending economic sanctions, scheduling elections and more. They
agreed on the date of the next presidential election. It
was originally planned for March, but in a concession to the
opposition, it was  rescheduled for the end of April. Maduro
signed the agreement even
though the opposition
did not attend the
signing ceremony. They backed out after Colombian President Santos,
who was meeting with Secretary Tillerson, called and told them not to
sign. Maduro
will now make the agreement a public issue by
allowing the people of Venezuela to sign it.

Not
recognizing elections and urging a military coup are bad enough, but
more disconcerting is that Admiral
Kurt Tidd, head of Southcom, held a closed door meeting in
Colombia after
Tillerson’s visit. The topic was “regional destabilization” and
Venezuela was a focus.

A
military attack on Venezuela from its Colombian and Brazilian borders
is not far fetched. In January, the
NY Times asked,
“Should the US military invade Venezuela?” President Trump
said the US is considering US military force against
Venezuela. His chief of staff, John Kelly, was formerly the general
in charge of Southcom. Tidd
has claimed the crisis,
created in large part by the economic war against Venezuela, requires
military action for humanitarian reasons.

War
preparations are already underway in
Colombia, which plays the role of Israel for the US in Latin America.
The coup government in Brazil, increased
its military budget 36 percent,
and participated in Operation:
America United,
the largest joint military exercise in Latin American history. It
was one
of four military exercises by the US with
Brazil, Colombia and Peru in
Latin America in 2017. The US Congress
ordered the Pentagon to develop military contingencies for
Venezuela in the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act.

While
there is opposition
to US military bases, James
Patrick Jordan explains, on our radio show, the
US has military bases in Colombia and the Caribbean and military
agreements with countries in the region; and therefore, Venezuela is
already surrounded.

The
United States is targeting Venezuela because the Bolivarian
Revolution provides an example against U.S. imperialism. An
invasion of Venezuela will become another war-quagmire that kills
innocent Venezuelans, U.S. soldiers and others over control of oil.
People in the United States who support the self-determination of
countries should show solidarity with Venezuelans, expose the U.S.
agenda and publicly denounce regime change. We need to educate people
about what is really happening in Venezuela to overcome the false
media coverage.

Bernhard Hammelburg veegt Nobelprijswinnaar Beatrice Fihn de mantel uit, zelfs voordat hij wist wat ze te berde bracht…….

Het meer dan stukke kompas van BNR voor ‘de in gewikkelde wereldpolitiek door Trump’, Bernard Hammelburg, heeft zijn column, die hij gisteren uitsprak voor BNR, geheel gewijd aan de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede en dan m.n aan de winnaar van dit jaar: Beatrice Fihn van ICAN, een organisatie die zich inzet tegen het bezit van kernwapens……..

Vooral de uitlating van Fihn dat we maar een driftbui verwijderd zijn van een kernoorlog, waarmee Fihn een driftbui van Trump en Kim Yung-un bedoelde, stak hem nogal en daarom zette hij dit weg als grote nonsens……. Echter Hammelburg vergeet wel even dat de nucleaire grootmachten VS en Groot-Brittannië vorig jaar te kennen gaven, het kernwapen niet langer als afschrikkingswapen te zien, maar als eerste aanvalswapen……. Anders gezegd deze landen sluiten een kernoorlog in de nabije toekomst niet uit!!

Een zaak die destijds zwaar onterecht maar weinig aandacht kreeg in de reguliere westerse media, echter toen Rusland als reactie op dit nieuwe beleid van de VS en GB aankondigde, zelf zo’n aanval niet uit te sluiten, stond de westerse wereld op haar kop, uiteraard opgezweept door diezelfde reguliere (massa-) media en het merendeel van de westerse politici (veelal lobbyisten van het militair-industrieel complex)…… Dit in een tijd waarin deze media en politici Rusland zo ongeveer van alles wat misgaat de schuld gaven (en nog steeds de schuld geven)………

Het is ronduit schandalig dat de EU geen kik gaf nadat de VS en Groot-Brittannië te kennen gaven niet uit te sluiten dat zij een kernoorlog zouden kunnen beginnen……..

Neem daarbij de situatie wat betreft het Witte Huis in ogenschouw en je zal zien dat Trump is verworden tot een marionet van de militairen die hem daar omringen…… Voeg daar het feit aan toe dat Trump een ondoordachte gewelddadige psychopaat is, die al eens kruisraketten liet afschieten op een Syrisch vliegveld als vergelding voor een aanval met gifgas. Een aanval die door het reguliere Syrische leger zou zijn gepleegd, waarvan later bleek dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (gesteund door het westen en m.n. door de VS) hiervoor verantwoordelijk waren……. Trump ging over tot deze actie, nadat hij een eerste bericht over die aanval op tv had gezien………. Nee, hoe kom je erbij dat deze psychopaat zomaar op de knop zou kunnen drukken, waarbij zijn vinger zal worden bediend door de oorlogshitsers die hem ter zijde staan……..

Wat dat betreft heeft Fihn het gelijk aan haar kant. Echter wat zowel Hammelburg als Fihn vergeten, is het feit dat Noord-Korea niet eens een atoombom heeft!!! (er is nooit radioactieve straling boven de plek van de ondergrondse Noord-Koreaanse kernproef aangetoond……)

Bovendien had Hammelburg even verder moeten lezen dan zijn neus lang is, dan had hij gezien dat Fihn veel van zijn waandenkbeelden deelt en derhalve al nooit de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede had mogen krijgen!!

Over die Nobelprijs voor de vrede gesproken: Hammelburg stelde terecht dat een aantal mensen, waaronder Obama en Aung San Suu Kyi, deze Nobelprijs onterecht kregen. Lullig dat hij niet ook even Kissinger noemde, maar deze massamoordenaar zal wel een lichtend voorbeeld zijn voor Hammelburg……….. Gegarandeerd dat Hammelburg verontwaardigd was dat Obama de Nobelprijs voor de vrede kreeg, daar hij deze kreeg toen hij nog maar net fungeerde als president van de VS en niet vanwege de illegale oorlogen die Obama in zijn ambtstermijn voortzette en begon, zoals die tegen Libië….

PAX blij met toekenning Nobelprijs voor de Vrede aan ICAN…………

Gisteren het nieuws dat de International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) de nobelprijs voor de Vrede heeft gewonnen, dit vanwege haar werk tegen nucleaire bewapening.

Met het schaamrood op de kaken moet ik toegeven dat ik niet heb opgeschreven, welke van ‘de vele’ landelijke radiozenders, dus Radio1 of BNR, dit onderwerp uitzond (en heb eerlijk gezegd geen zin dit uit te zoeken, tijd is schaars!). Op deze zender een woordvoerder van PAX, u weet wel het oude ‘Pax Christi’, deze man (dat was het volgens mij) fluisterde bijna nog luider dan Kiefer Sutherland in de flutserie ’24’.

De man liet weten, bijzonder blij te zijn met de Nobelprijs, waarom vraagt u zich af, wel PAX heeft het initiatief genomen voor ICAN………. Dat is te zeggen, met 467 zusterorganisaties…….. Wel zit PAX in de stuurgroep van ICAN samen met 8 andere partners.

PAX is vooral een organisatie die bekend is door oorlogshitser Mient Jan Faber, deze opperploert was NB voor de illegale oorlog tegen Irak en daar staat hij, nu meer dan 1,5 miljoen doden verder, nog steeds achter!!! Mient Jan Faber, de grofgraaier die nu lobbyt voor het militair-industrieel complex, heeft nu spijt van de demo’s waar hij aan deel heeft genomen in de 80er jaren, o.a. die tegen de kruisraketten, dit daar hij nu stelt dat er geen betere garantie voor de wereldvrede is dan het kernwapen………. Terwijl een mafketel als Trump aan de knoppen zit te frummelen……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Vergeet verder niet dat zowel de VS onder Obama en even later Hillary Clinton voorafgaand aan de presidentsverkiezingen, verklaarden het kernwapen niet langer als afschrikkingswapen te zien, maar als eerste aanvalswapen……. Na Clinton verklaarde de Britse premier, hare kwaadaardigheid May, vorig jaar zomer hetzelfde…….

Intussen is ook CDA leegbol Sterk toegetreden tot PAX (althans daar leek het ‘sterk’ op*), waarom mag god weten, maar zo was en is dat dat met al de functies die zij bekleedde en bekleedt……… Zo bracht ze onlangs, uit hoofde van haar ‘functie bij PAX’, een onversneden NAVO propagandapraatje tegen Assad……. Tja, blijkbaar is dat dan toch de huidige taak van PAXXXXXXXXXXX!!! Iets waarvoor je ‘uiteraard’ de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede behoort te krijgen ……. Zoals Obama, die de hele 2 termijnen oorlog heeft gevoerd en illegale oorlogen is begonnen…, -Henry Kissinger, een massamoordenaar, die verward wordt met een intellect……, -Aung San Suu Kyi, die achter de uiterst gewelddadige etnische zuiveringen in Birma staat en ga nog maar even door……….

Mensen: de wereld staat op z’n kop, wat ik je brom!!

PS: gelukkig werden de White Helmets, een terreurorganisatie verbonden aan Al Qaida, voor de tweede keer op rij niet de winnaar van de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede.

Obama wil de boel in Noord-Korea ‘stabiliseren……..’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

De Chinese president Xi Jinping was/is op staatsbezoek in de VS. In een gezamenlijke verklaring stellen de VS en China, dat ze zullen proberen verdere rakettesten van Noord-Korea te voorkomen. Obama verklaarde voorts, dat Noord-Korea de boel provoceert met de rakettesten die het land regelmatig houdt. Volgens BBC World Service ‘Newsroom’ (op 1 april jl. na het nieuws van 1.00 u.) wil Obama de boel stabiliseren op het Koreaanse schiereiland…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Oh vandaar die jaarlijkse grote militaire oefeningen, die de VS en Zuid-Korea samen vlak langs de grens van de Noord-Koreaanse territoriale wateren houden, dat is niet provocerend richting Noord-Korea, maar juist om de boel stabiliseren!!! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Daarnaast vuren Zuid-Korea en de VS tijdens die oefeningen zelf ook raketten af………

Overigens: de tests van Noord-Korea met hun ‘raketten’ vallen letterlijk keer op keer in het water…… Ook de beweringen van Noord-Korea, dat ze de beschikking hebben over een atoombom, kloppen volgens echte deskundigen niet……. Niet dat de VS of Zuid-Korea ook maar één moment twijfelen aan die verhalen, althans naar buiten toe, ‘altijd handig als je een extra stok hebt om de hond publiekelijk te slaan……..’

Wat een valse hufter die Obama, waar haalt hij het lef vandaan, zo overduidelijk glashard de wereldbevolking voor te liegen…….. Dat ook nog eens als leider van het sterkste ‘land’ ter wereld, een land dat overal waar het wil (enorme) terreur uitoefent en alleen de laatste 15 jaar bijna, 2 miljoen mensen over de kling heeft gejaagd……….. Dezelfde Obama kreeg godbetert de Nobelprijs voor de vrede……..

De volgende Nobelprijswinnaar voor de vrede, kan de prijs beter laten zitten, zeker als je ziet dat massamoordenaars als Obama en Kissinger deze prijs ontvingen……

Je snapt niet, dat er nog zo ongelofelijk veel mensen zijn, die Obama nog serieus nemen…… Oké. dat is gelul: dagelijks worden we door de westerse reguliere media en politici voorgelogen over het ‘heilzame werk’ (lees: terreur) dat de VS over de wereld uitstort…..
