Trump volgt het scenario van deep state: oorlog met Iran ‘is onvermijdelijk….’

John
C. O’Day publiceerde vorige week vrijdag een artikel op Fair.org dat ik
overnam van Anti-Media (en dat je onder mijn schrijven terug kan
vinden). Hierin vestigt O’Day de aandacht op de Iran-deal van een paar
jaar geleden, deze deal of: the
Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), werd destijds
bediscussieerd in de reguliere (massa-) media, waar men stelde dat
Iran ofwel deze deal moest slikken, daar anders alleen oorlog met
Iran zou overblijven als alternatief………

De
voorspelling dat oorlog het enige alternatief zou zijn, werd door de
Trump administratie gevolgd, door de deal alsnog af te blazen en met enorme anti-Iran propaganda te beweren dat Iran zich niet aan de deal houdt, ook al zeggen alle VN wapeninspecties dat Iran inderdaad is gestopt met de verrijking van uranium en is begonnen met het ontmantelen van de daarvoor benodigde centrifuges. 


Bolton, de oorlogshitser en oorlogsmisdadiger (die voor
het leven gevangen zou moeten zitten in Scheveningen) beweerde dat
wanneer Iran de boel zou belazeren, het land te maken zou krijgen
met ‘de woede van de VS’, ofwel met grootscheepse terreur in de vorm
van één van de zwaarste oorlogsmisdaden, het beginnen van alweer
een illegale oorlog door deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde………… 


Een belachelijke uitlating van Bolton daar de VS zonder enig bewijs en in tegenspraak met officiële VN rapporten toch al stelt dat Iran vals speelt, m.a.w.: de reden voor de VS om een (illegale) oorlog tegen Iran te beginnen, is door de VS zelf gecreëerd…….. (iets waar de VS ‘goed in is’, neem alle false flag operaties van deze terreurenteit)

O’Day
stelt dat de woorden van figuren als Bolton en Trump nog amper op
kritiek kunnen rekenen in de VS, wat volgens hem het gevolg is van de berichtgeving
in de reguliere media……. O’Day noemt een groot aantal voorbeelden
en stelt dan ook dat de Trump administratie die media volgt, echter
daar ben ik het niet mee eens. O’Day vergeet het begrip Deep State,
de werkelijke machthebbers, die al helemaal niet blij waren met de
Iran-deal. Deze Deep State beheerst ook de massamedia en zijn
derhalve verantwoordelijk voor wat die media brengen aan (nep-)
nieuws, leugens en pure propaganda (waarbij Goebbels z’n gore vingers
zou aflikken….) 


Ondanks dat een groot deel van die media in onmin
leven met Trump, staan ze volkomen achter de terreur die de VS
verspreidt over het Midden-Oosten, Latijns-Amerika en Afrika……. Vergeet daarnaast niet dat het in feite niet uitmaakt wie er regeert in de VS, al helemaal niet wat betreft de buitenlandpolitiek, neem ‘vredesduif’ Obama die als eerste VS president de volle 2 termijnen in (illegale) oorlogen was verwikkeld met meerdere landen en er zelf (officieel) 2 begon….

(FAIR.org) — Three
years ago, as Americans debated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of
Action (JCPOA) agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran—popularly
known as “the Iran deal”—I highlighted a troubling media trend
on FAIR.org (8/20/15):
“For nearly all commentators, regardless of their position, war is
the only alternative to that position.”

In
the months since US President Donald Trump tore up the JCPOA
agreement, his administration has been trying to make good on
corporate media’s collective prediction. Last week, John Bolton
(BBC, 9/26/18),
Trump’s national security advisor and chief warmonger, told Iran’s
leaders and the world that there would be “hell to pay” if they
dare to “cross us.”

John
Bolton (BBC, 9/26/18):
“Let my message today be clear: We are watching, and we will come
after you.”

That
Bolton’s bellicose statements do not send shockwaves of pure horror
across a debt-strapped and war-weary United
States is thanks in large part to incessant priming for war,
facilitated by corporate media across the entire political spectrum,
with a particular focus on Iran.

Back
in 2015, while current “resistance” stalwarts like the Washington
Post (4/2/15)

and Politico (8/11/15)
warned us that war with Iran was the most likely alternative to the
JCPOA, conservative standard-bearers such as Fox
News (7/14/15)
and the Washington
Times 
(8/10/15)
foretold that war with Iran was the agreement’s most likely
outcome. Three years hence, this dynamic has not changed.

presents Trump and Bolton’s “deal” for Iran.

To
experience the full menu of US media’s single-mindedness about
Iran, one need only buy a subscription to the New
York Times.
After Trump withdrew from the JCPOA, the Times’
editorial board (5/8/18)
wrote that his move would “lay conditions for a possible wider war
in the Middle East.” Susan Rice (New
York Times, 5/8/18),
President Barack Obama’s national security advisor, agreed: “We
could face the choice of going to war or acquiescing to a
nuclear-armed Iran,” she warned. Cartoonist Patrick Chappatte (New
York Times, 5/10/18)
was characteristically more direct, penning an image of Trump
alongside Bolton, holding a fictitious new agreement featuring the
singular, ultimate word: “WAR.”

On
the other hand, calling Trump’s turn against JCPOA a “courageous
decision,” Times columnist
Bret Stephens (5/8/18)
explained that the move was meant to force the Iranian government to
make a choice: Either accede to US demands or “pursue their nuclear
ambitions at the cost of economic ruin and possible war.” (Hardly
courageous, when we all know there is no chance that Trump or
Stephens would enlist should war materialize.)

Trump’s latest
antics at
the United Nations have spurred a wave of similar reaction across
corporate media. Describing his threat to “totally destroy North
Korea” at the UN General Assembly last year as “pointed and
sharp,” Fox
News anchor
Eric Shawn (9/23/18)
asked Bill Richardson, an Obama ally and President Bill Clinton’s
ambassador to the UN, whether Trump would take the same approach
toward Iran. “That aggressive policy we have with Iran is going to
continue,” Richardson reassured the audience, “and I don’t
think Iran is helping themselves.” In other words, if the United
States starts a war with Iran, it’s totally Iran’s fault.

Politico (9/23/18),
meanwhile, reported that Trump “is risking a potential war with
Iran unless he engages the Islamist-led country using diplomacy.”
In other words, if the United States starts a war with Iran, it’s
totally Trump’s fault. Rice (New
York Times, 9/26/18)
reiterated her view that Trump’s rhetoric “presages the prospect
of war in the Persian Gulf.” Whoever would be the responsible party
is up for debate, but that war is in our future is apparently all but
certain.

Politico’s
article cited a statement signed
by such esteemed US experts on war-making as Madeleine Albright, who
presided over Clinton’s inhuman
sanctions against
Iraq in the ’90s, and Ryan Crocker, former ambassador for
presidents George W. Bush and Obama to some of America’s favorite
killing fields: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria.  James
Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, who also signed
the letter, played an important
role in
trumping up WMD evidence against Saddam Hussein before the United
States invaded Iraq in 2003. When it comes to US aggression, they’re
the experts.

Vanity
Fair (9/26/18)
interviewed John Glaser of the Cato Institute, who called Trump’s
strategy “pathetic,” and also warned that it forebodes war. In an
effort to “one-up Obama,” Glaser explained, Trump’s plan is “to
apply extreme economic pressure and explicit threats of war in order
to get Iran to capitulate.” Sound familiar? As Glaser implies, this
was exactly
Obama’s strategy,
only then it wasn’t seen as “pathetic,” but rather reasonable,
and the sole means for preventing the war that every US pundit and
politician saw around the corner (The
Hill, 8/9/15).

When
everyone decides that war is the only other possibility, it starts to
look like an inevitability. But even when they aren’t overtly
stoking war fever against Iran, corporate media prime the
militaristic pump in more subtle yet equally disturbing ways.

Benjamin
Netanyahu speaks for the Iranian people on CNN (9/29/18).

First
among these is the near-complete erasure of Iranian voices from US
airwaves (FAIR.org, 7/24/15).
Rather than ask Iranians directly, national outlets
like CNN (9/29/18)
prefer to invite the prime minister of Israel, serial
Iran alarmist and
regional pariah Benjamin Netanyahu, to speak for them. During a
jovial discussion this weekend over whether regime change and/or
economic collapse is Iran’s most likely fate, Netanyahu explained
to the audience that, either way,

“The
ones who will be happiest if that happens are the people of Iran.”
No people of Iran were on hand to confirm or deny this assessment.

Bloomberg (9/30/18)
similarly wanted to know, “What’s not to like about Trump’s
Iran oil sanctions?” Julian Lee gleefully reported that “they are
crippling exports from the Islamic Republic, at minimal cost to the
US.” One might think the toll
sanctions take on
innocent Iranians would be something not to like,
but Bloomberg merely
worried that, notwithstanding the windfall for US refineries, “oil
at $100 a barrel would be bad news for drivers everywhere—including
those in the US.”

Another
prized tactic is to whitewash
Saudi Arabia,
Iran’s chief geopolitical rival, whose genocidal destruction of
Yemen is made possible by the United States, about which corporate
media remain overwhelmingly silent (FAIR.org, 7/23/18).
Iran’s involvement in Yemen, which both Trump and the New
York Times (9/12/18)
describe as “malign behavior,” is a principal justification for
US support of Saudi Arabia, including the US-supplied
bombs that
recently ended the brief lives of over 40 Yemeni schoolchildren.
Lockheed Martin’s stock is up
34 percentfrom
Trump’s inauguration day.

Corporate
media go beyond a simple coverup of Saudi crimes to evangelize their
leadership as the liberal antidote to Iran’s “theocracy.” Who
can forget Thomas Friedman’s revolting puff piece for the Saudi
crown prince Mohammad bin Salman? Extensively quoting Salman (New
York Times, 11/23/17),
who refers to Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as “the new Hitler of
the Middle East,” Friedman nevertheless remains pessimistic about
whether “MBS and his team” can see their stand against Iran
through, as “dysfunction and rivalries within the Sunni Arab world
generally have prevented forming a unified front.” Oh well, every
team needs cheerleaders, and Friedman isn’t just a fair-weather
fan.

While
Friedman (New
York Times, 5/15/18)
believes that Trump has drawn “some needed attention to Iran’s
bad behavior,” for him pivotal questions remain unanswered, such as
“who is going to take over in Tehran if the current Islamic regime
collapses?” One immediate fix he proposed was to censure Iran’s
metaphorical “occupation” of Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. Isn’t
this ironic coming from an unapologetic propagandist for Washington’s
decades-long, non-metaphorical occupation of the two countries to the
east and west of Iran (FAIR.org, 12/9/15)?

In
a surprising break from corporate media convention, USA
Today (9/26/18)
published a column on US/Iran relations written by an actual Iranian.
Reflecting on the CIA-orchestrated
coup against
Iran’s elected government in 1953, Azadeh Shahshahani, who was born
four days after the 1979 revolution there, wrote:

“I
often wonder what would have happened if that coup had not worked, if
[Prime Minister] Mosaddeq had been allowed to govern, if democracy
had been allowed to flourish.”

“It
is time for the US government to stop intervening in Iran and let the
Iranian people determine their own destiny,” she beseeched readers.

Code
Pink’s Medea Benjamin confronts the head of Trump’s “Iran
Action Group” (Real
News, 9/21/18).

Shahshahani’s
call is supported by some who have rejected corporate media’s war
propaganda and have gone to extreme lengths to have their
perspectives heard. Anti-war activist and Code Pink  founder
Medea Benjamin was recently forcibly removed after she upstaged Brian
Hook, leader of Trump’s Iran Action Group, on live TV, calling his
press conference “the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen”
(Real
News, 9/21/18).
Benjamin implored the audience: “Let’s talk about Saudi Arabia.
Is that who our allies are?”

“How
dare you bring up the issue of Yemen,” admonished Benjamin as she
was dragged from the room. “It’s the Saudi bombing that is
killing most people in Yemen. So let’s get real. No more war! Peace
with Iran!” Code Pink is currently
petitioning the New
York Times and Washington
Post to
stop propagandizing war.

Sadly,
no matter whom you ask in corporate media, be they spokespeople for
“Trump’s America” or “the resistance,” peace remains an
elusive choice in the US political imagination. And while the public
was focused last week on Supreme Court nominee Brett
Kavanaugh’s perjurious
testimony,
the Senate finalized a $674
billion “defense” budget.
Every single Democrat in the chamber voted in favor of the
bill, explicitly
naming Iran as
persona non grata in the United States’ world-leading
arms supply network,
which has seen a 25 percent increase in exports since Obama took
office in 2009.

The
US government’s imperial ambitions are perhaps its only truly
bipartisan project—what the New
York Times euphemistically
refers to as “globalism.” Nowhere was this on fuller display than
at the funeral for Republican Sen. John McCain (FAIR.org, 9/11/18),
where politicians of all stripes were tripping over themselves to
produce the best accolades for a man who infamously
sang“bomb
bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” to the tune of a Beach Boys song.

McCain’s
bloodlust was nothing new. Nearly a hundred years ago, after the
West’s imperial competition culminated in the most destructive war
the world had ever seen, the brilliant American sociologist and
anti-colonial author WEB Du Bois wrote,
“This is not Europe gone mad; this is not aberration nor insanity;
this is Europe.”

Iranian
leaders have repeatedly said they do not want war with the US
(AP, 9/27/18),
but US corporate media, despite frequently characterizing Trump as a
“mad king” (FAIR.org, 6/13/18),
continue to play an instrumental role in rationalizing a future war
with Iran. Should such an intentional catastrophe come to pass, we
can hardly say that this would be America gone mad; war is not
aberration, it is always presented as the next sane choice.
This is America.

Terreuraanslag in Iran moet acties uitlokken die de VS tot een oorlog met Iran ‘dwingen’

De
terreuraanslag die vorige week werd gepleegd op een militaire parade
in Iran, is onderdeel van een veel groter plan om een oorlog tegen
Iran te beginnen. Het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Trita Parsi op Middle East Eye, spreekt over die
terreuraanval in termen als ‘zou kunnen’, dus het zou kunnen dat men
een gewelddadige reactie van Iran probeert uit te lokken, terwijl de
VS al lang heeft toegegeven dat het bewind in Teheran wordt
ondermijnd met geld en middelen voor groepen die dit bewind onderuit
willen halen, sterker de CIA is al jaren werkzaam in Iran….

Het
voorgaande daar het intussen duidelijk is geworden dat de aanslag op
de parade werd gepleegd door terreurgroep Ahvaz National Resistance, die wordt ondersteund
door de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) en Saoedi-Arabië…..
Volgens Parsi is het vrijwel zeker dat Iran actie zal ondernemen als
‘de vingerafdrukken’ op de aanslag inderdaad wijzen naar de VAE en
S-A.

Deze
actie van Iran zal op zeker een militaire tegenactie van de VS tegen Iran
uitlokken en daar is het de VAE en Saoedi-Arabië om te doen……

Vergeet
daarnaast niet dat Israël al jaren uit is op het aanvallen van Iran,
een aanval die Israël vooralsnog niet zelfstandig aandurft en Israël de VS
dan ook al jaren onder druk zet om een aanval op Iran in te zetten,
waaraan deze fascistische apartheidsstaat uiteraard zal
meedoen………

De
psychopathische Saoedische moordenaar, prins Mohammed bin Salman (‘MBS’) heeft
toegegeven dat Saoedi-Arabië ‘het gevecht’ binnen de Iraanse grenzen
wil trekken, ofwel het plegen van terreuraanslagen op Iraanse
bodem…… MBS stelde e.e.a. alsof Iran de laatste 80 jaar de ene na de andere oorlog heeft gevoerd tegen buurlanden…… (dat is zelfs niet één keer gebeurd…)

Gezien
deze uitlating en de houding van de reli-fascistische dictatuur
Saoedi-Arabië t.a.v. Iran, is het dan ook niet de vraag of
Saoedi-Arabië en de VAE terreuraanvallen stimuleren of zelfs
regisseren in Iran, dit is als de CIA acties in Iran een feit.

Er
moet en zal oorlog tegen Iran worden gevoerd, zoveel is intussen meer
dan duidelijk…… Degenen die hiervan profiteren zijn het
militair-industrieel complex, de oliemaffia*, Israël en
natuurlijk de VS zelf, de VS wil een nieuw steunpunt in deze
strategische regio, ofwel in Iran (het beheren van de Perzische Golf met al haar
olie- en gastanker transporten)……

Waarom
is het nu doodstil in de EU terwijl men zo’n grote mond had over het
afschieten van de Iran-deal door de VS?? De VS dat met haar sancties zelfs
bedrijven in de EU in de hand heeft, immers elk bedrijf dat
investeert of werkt/handelt met Iraanse bedrijven, komt op de zwarte
lijst van de VS en zal naast financiële boetes van de VS zelfs strafrechtelijk vervolgd kunnen worden door de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…… De sancties van de VS stuwen inmiddels de
olieprijs naar niveaus die in jaren niet zijn gezien, waar dezelfde
VS uiteraard aan verdient met haar gesubsidieerde winning van
schaliegas en schalie-olie…..

VS ploert Pompeo beschuldigt Iran intussen van de aanvallen op het VS consulaat in Basra, Irak…. Niet dat daar enig bewijs voor is, maar dat heeft de VS dan ook niet nodig om een volgende illegale oorlog te beginnen, iets dergelijks herhaaldelijk schreeuwen in de regeringsgetrouwe (reguliere) massamedia is tegenwoordig voldoende om een VS terreuractie uit te legitimeren….. The
Terror Attack in Iran May Drag the US Into a Much Larger War

If
the Ahvaz terror attack has Saudi and UAE fingerprints, then their
goal is likely for Iran to respond aggressively, which may force the
US to act militarily.

(MEE Op-ed) — Iran
has been hit by yet another terrorist attack. At least 29 people were
killed in the southwestern city of Ahvaz when gunmen opened fire on a
crowd watching a military parade on Iran’s equivalent of Memorial
Day. But unlike previous terror attacks, this one may spark a much
larger regional conflagration – involving not just regional rivals
Saudi Arabia and Iran, but also the United States. In fact, it may
have been designed to trigger just that.

The
terrorist attack, which was first claimed by an Arab separatist group
with alleged connections to Saudi Arabia, the Ahvaz National
Resistance**, did not occur in a vacuum. Iran’s regional rivals,
particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have increasingly taken their
decades-long behind-the-scenes
pressure on the US to bomb Iran into
the open.

What
used to be said in private is now increasingly
declared in public.
Moreover, these monarchies are no longer limiting themselves to
pushing the US to take military action, but are announcing their own
readiness to attack Iran.

Saudi
and UAE Threats Towards Iran

Only
a year ago, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman explained in an
interview that Saudi Arabia would take the fight to “inside
Iran“.

“We
won’t wait for the battle to be in Saudi Arabia,” he
said.
“Instead, we will work so that the battle is for them in Iran.”
His statement was widely interpreted as a sign that Riyadh would
dramatically escalate tensions with Iran and intensify its support
for various armed groups opposing the government in Tehran.

Abdulkhaleq
Abdulla, an adviser to the Abu Dhabi government, justified the Ahvaz
attack on Twitter, arguing that it wasn’t a terrorist attack and
that “moving
the battle to the Iranian side is a declared option“.
Attacks of this kind, he ominously warned, “will increase during
the next phase”.

If
the terrorist attack in Ahvaz was part of a larger Saudi and UAE
escalation in Iran, their goal is likely to goad Iran to retaliate
and then use Tehran’s reaction to spark a larger war and force the
US to enter since Riyadh and Abu Dhabi likely cannot take on Iran
militarily alone (indeed, after spending roughly $6bn a month, they
have failed to defeat the Houthi guerillas in Yemen).

If
so, the terrorist attack is as much about trapping Iran into war as
it is to trap the US into a war of choice. As former secretary of
defense Bob Gates said in 2010, the Saudis “want
to fight the Iranians to the last American“.

Hawks Inside Trump’s Administration

But
the Trump administration may not be innocent bystanders to such a
scheme. Trump’s own actions and the close coordination we have seen
between his administration, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Israel on Iran
raises the prospects of a different explanation: one in which the US
itself is actively pushing its allies and being pushed by its allies
towards war with Iran.

The
Ahvaz attack comes only one day after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo
issued a strong threat to Iran, declaring it would be held
“accountable”
if there were any more attacks on US consulates in Iraq.

The
US consulate in Basra, Iraq, has come under attack in the past week
allegedly by Iraqi Shia forces close to Iran. The Trump
administration has not presented any evidence that Iran had any
involvement in that attack, but has declared that it will attack Iran
if any more such attacks take place.

The
Iranian consulate in Basra, in turn, has been attacked several times
during this same period, with Tehran laying the blame at the feet of
the US (also without clear evidence).

The
difference being that the US has issued a stern threat declaring it
will take action against Iran for events neither Washington nor
Tehran can provide any evidence for.

This
pattern of bellicose statements and actions fits well with a memo
National Security Adviser John Bolton – who
has a history of manipulating intelligence in order to drag the US
into war –
wrote in August 2017, before he joined the Trump team.

The memo details
how the US should coordinate with Israel and Saudi Arabia to build
support – domestically and internationally – for a withdrawal
from the Iran nuclear deal and a much more aggressive policy on Iran.

It
specifically mentions “providing assistance” to Khuzestan Arabs –
the minority group in Iran that the Ahvazi attack perpetrators claim
to represent. Bolton also argues that the Trump administration should
demand payment from Iran for its non-existing role in the 9/11
September attacks while disingenuously offering Iran dialogue amid a
policy of confrontation.

The
Trump administration’s Iran policy is following the Bolton memo
almost point by point. The plea to provide assistance to Khuzestani
separatists is particularly damning. This raises legitimate
suspicions that if the terror attack has Saudi and UAE fingerprints
on it, it may not be so much an attempt by them to drag the US into
war as Trump operating in the driver’s seat.

For
Saudi Arabia and the UAE, this makes strategic sense. Their ability
to compete with the much larger and more cohesive Iranian state in
the long run is highly questionable. If they can trap the US into
doubling down on its military presence in the Middle East, however,
then they can use American power to balance Iran.

For
America, which is already overextended in the Middle East at the
expense of its strategic interest in Asia as well as at home, this
makes little to no sense.

onderhoudt ook al jaren een goede relatie met de fascistische
apartheidsstaat Israël en is één van de schoften die het gore lef

Ongelofelijk

Blair Confirms Receiving $12 Million Dollars From Saudi Arabia

(MEMO) — Tony
Blair’s relationship with Saudi Arabia has come under scrutiny
following the revelation that the non-government organisation set up
under his name has received millions of pounds from Riyadh.

Accounts
published yesterday by the Tony Blair Institute confirmed earlier
reports that Blair had received donations of up to $12 million from
the Kingdom.

The
Saudi donation, according to the Financial Times, comes
from an organisation called Media Investment Limited (MIL), which is
a subsidiary of Saudi Research & Marketing Group, registered in
Guernsey*.

Publication
of the accounts confirmed July reports that Tony Blair Institute had
made an agreement with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, effective
ruler of Saudi Arabia, earlier this year to help with a programme of
modernisation for the Kingdom.

The
agreement was said to be the first major deal to have emerged
involving the Tony Blair Institute, which Blair established in 2016
after winding down his commercial operations.

The
report in the Telegraph prompted the institute to
defend its dealing with the Saudi Kingdom saying that the former
prime minister did not receive any payment from Riyadh and profits
are not generated from its consultancy work. They insisted that their
mission was to promote stability and reform in the Middle East –
with staff based in the UAE**, a key ally of Saudi Arabia.

Following
the revelation, questions were raised over some of the institute’s
decision, including Blair himself, who supported UK intervention in
Syria; a policy that would have primarily benefited the Saudi-backed
opposition groups.

Blair’s
institute also wrote flattering articles about Bin Salman during the
crown prince’s visit
to the UK early
year. “Britain should learn from Saudi Arabia and how it has
demonstrated a clear commitment to tackling the politicisation of
Islam to inform policymaking,” one article read.

It
also endorsed Bin Salman’s vision. “As part of his broad,
sweeping and ambitious plans to revolutionise Saudi Arabia,
economically, socially and religiously, the crown prince has
demonstrated a level of conviction, clarity and coherence in
identifying and understanding the nature of Islamist extremism that
Western policymakers should seek to learn from.”

Despite
the glowing endorsement, a key plank of Bin Salman’s vision has
come off the rail. In August King
Salman stepped
in and shelved his son’s plans to float a five per cent stake in
the country’s national oil company. Furthermore Riyadh has seen
some of the wort repression in the country under the current ruler,
as progressive
imams and female
campaigners face
capital punishment for their criticism of the ruling monarchy.

Facebook helpt Saoedi-Arabië: doodstraf door onthoofding van vrouw die het waagde kritiek te uiten…..

Saoedische
aanklagers willen dat een sjiitische vrouw, die openlijk kritiek gaf
op de reli-fascistische Saoedische dictatuur (deze woorden zou de
vrouw niet eens hebben durven gebruiken) wordt onthoofd……
Daarmee zouden deze aanklagers meteen ‘een mooie primeur’ hebben,
nooit eerder werd er een vrouw onthoofd in Saoedi-Arabië……

Niet dat de vrouw geweld heeft gebruikt, nee ze gaf alleen kritiek op de Saoedische onderdrukking van sjiieten in S-A…….

Naast
de vrouw willen deze aanklagers de doodstraf voor nog eens 4 mensen
die vreedzaam kritiek hebben geleverd op de Saoedische dictatuur (de
hoogste tijd voor een staatsbezoek aan S-A van ons nationale waterhoofd
W.A. en zijn pampakoningin Maxima, het koningshuis onderhoudt immers vriendelijke banden met de Saoedische reli-fascistische dictatuur….)

Om
een golf van protest te voorkomen op Facebook, heeft het bedrijf van
superschoft Zuckerberg een groot aantal accounts verwijderd van haar
platform…… De namen van de accounts werden door privé
veiligheidsorganisatie FireEye in de VS doorgegeven aan Facebook…….. FireEye is een bedrijf dat nauw samenwerkt met het
Pentagon…….. 

Overigens ligt de sjiitische minderheid in Saoedi-Arabië al jaren onder vuur van de psychopathische top in dat land en dat maar al te vaak letterlijk………

Facebook verdedigt haar stappen door te stellen dat de de accounts zijn verbonden aan Iran, ofwel Facebook ‘bevecht de invloed van Iran….’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Uiteraard zijn daar totaal geen bewijzen voor, het gaat puur en alleen om kritiek op Saoedi-Arabië van het net te weren, iets dat Facebook ook doet met accounts waar kritiek wordt geleverd op de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël en accounts waar men het opneemt voor het zwaar verdrukte Palestijnse volk…….. 

Het is duidelijk dat deze censuur, die eerder werd ingesteld op sites die ‘pro-Russisch’ zijn, is ingegeven om de huidige inhumane neoliberale status quo te handhaven en mede de reguliere (massa-) media te beschermen als deze voor de zoveelste keer ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws) brengen, of op andere manieren de lezer dusdanig te beïnvloeden dat deze geen vragen meer stelt als bijvoorbeeld de VS of andere partijen die men steunt, hun zoveelste oorlogsmisdaad begaan

Niet alleen Facebook maakt zich schuldig aan deze niet anders dan als censuur aan te duiden maatregelen, ook Twitter, Google en YouTube doen hier aan mee…….

Ongelofelijk
dat men de leugens van de Saoedische slachter bin Salman, ofwel ‘MBS’ gelooft en denkt dat S-A onder zijn leiderschap tot een
verlichte dictatuur zal worden omgevormd……

De
VS en de rest van het westen, blijven ondanks alles de Saoedische beesten de hand boven het hoofd
houden en laat deze barbaarse dictatuur begaan bij de vreselijkste terreur die je maar kan

(GPA) — Saudi
prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a 29-year-old woman
activist for crimes such as chanting slogans at a protest. Beheading
a woman is unprecedented in the kingdom. Meanwhile, Facebook has
sprung into action to protect Riyadh’s back by initiating a
crackdown on hundreds of accounts posting anti-Saudi content.

  • Saudi
    prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for five activists with
    non-violent charges.

  • All
    of the activists belong to the kingdom’s historically oppressed
    Shia minority. One is a woman.

  • Facebook
    has coincidentally begun removing anti-Saudi accounts under the
    guise of fighting “Iranian interference.”

  • A
    private cybersecurity firm with ties to the US military tipped off
    Facebook to the accounts.

Saudis
Seek First Death by the Sword for Woman Activist

One
of these activists includes a woman named Israa al-Ghomgham who
was arrested three years ago. Although Saudi Arabia has killed or
injured several thousand women in neighboring Yemen, beheading a
female is completely unprecedented inside the Kingdom thus far.

All
of the activists reportedly took part in protests in Saudi Arabia’s
town of Qatif — a heavily Shia Muslim region frequently under siege
from Wahhabi Saudi forces.

Saudi
rulers consider all citizens who do not adhere to their distorted and
intolerant version of Islam, Wahhabism, as polytheists and
non-believers. Saudi textbooks in schools contain content with the
intention of inflaming hatred for Shia Muslims. This hatred overflows
into their foreign policy and military strategies as well.

Ghomgham
and the other four activists face charges such as chanting slogans,
attempting to inflame public opinion, and providing moral support to
protestors. Human
Rights Watch and
Amnesty International have reportedly both spoke out on Ghomgham’s
behalf. Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland also
took the opportunity to strike
back at
the Kingdom’s recent arrests.

These
arrests are part of a broader trend under Mohammed bin Salman’s
rule to arrest all activists, clerics, intellectuals, and journalists
that speak out against the regime.

Although
all of the recent arrests were Shia Muslim, Riyadh also cracked down
on Sunni Muslim pro-democracy activists last month. In mid-July,
Saudi authorities raided the home of Sheikh Safar Al-Hawali: a
68-year-old scholar who had just published a book critical of the
Saudi regime’s policies. Hawali was arrested and his current
fate is unclear.

Facebook
has Riyadh’s Back in the Public Relations Department

Just
as news broke about five activists, Facebook initiated a crackdown on
anti-Saudi accounts — which also made headlines.

In
fact, it appears that the Saudi regime and their Western counterparts
in the United States have adopted the “Russian interference”
hysteria as a strategy in their soft war against Iran. Facebook
announced on Tuesday that it had removed 652 accounts which it
claimed were promoting anti-Saudi, anti-Israel, and
pro-Palestinian themes.

In
addition to Facebook’s sweep, Twitter deleted nearly 300 accounts
while Google and YouTube also deleted at least one. Facebook claims
these accounts originated inside Iran from Tehran’s government
itself — just like the hyper-inflated “Russian misinformation”
campaign.

A
private cybersecurity firm called FireEye tipped Facebook, Twitter,
and Google off to the alleged accounts. The CEO of FireEye, Kevin
Mandiant,
is a former US Air Force officer with an extensive background in
cyber espionage.

It’s
very convenient for Riyadh that FireEye informed the tech companies
about these alleged misinformation accounts on the very same day the
news broke about Saudi plans to behead five new activists — and
their first woman nonetheless.

And
with FireEye’s ties to the US military, this is not surprising at
all.

Reforms: Trying Non-Violent Activists in a Secret Court

According
to Human Rights Watch, the activists will face trial in a secret
setting known as the Specialized Criminal Court (SCC): a tribunal
designed seemingly specifically for activists speaking out against
the regime. Of course, anyone who condemns the regime Riyadh
considers a terrorist — both at home and abroad.

Meanwhile,
Mohammed bin Salman is portrayed in the media as a poster child for
liberal reforms. Although the neoliberals seem more focused on the
privatization aspects and less on the oppressed populations in the
Kingdom at abroad.

The
continuation of arrests shows that Saudi Arabia will dole human
rights out as gifts (like women driving) from the regime — rights
will certainly not be earned through grassroots movements.

All
the while, private security firms will partner with Facebook and
other tech companies to crack down on these activists and others
online.

Saoedische aanval op schoolbus in Jemen: 43 kinderen vermoord……

Vanmiddag heeft het Rode Kruis bekend gemaakt dat de Saoedische terreurcoalitie een schoolbus heeft aangevallen in Jemen……. Volgens lokale autoriteiten zijn er 43 kinderen omgekomen bij de aanval, voor het merendeel kinderen onder de 10 jaar…….

Volgens Saoedi-Arabië was de aanval op een schoolbus een wraakneming voor een raket aanval van de Houthi rebellen op Saoedisch grondgebied, waarbij een burger om het leven kwam…… De suffe BBC correspondent Alan Johnston, die eerst zowaar het woord ‘rebellen’ gebruikte voor de Houthi’s, kon er een uur geleden (rond 14.06 u. CET) niet onderuit bij een verlag op BBC World Service radio te zeggen dat Saoedi-Arabië vaker dergelijke doelen aanvalt als wraakneming voor Houthi aanvallen op dat land. Zo werden eerder Jemenitische bruiloften onder vuur genomen…… (ja echte helden die Saoedische psychopaten…)

Ongelofelijk dat Johnston dit nu wel toegeeft, daar de BBC eerder de belachelijke excuses van Saoedi-Arabië overnam, excuses als het gaat om een vergissing of zelfs een ontkenning van een aanval, terwijl iedereen weet dat de Saoedische terreurcoalitie verantwoordelijk was voor bombardementen op burgerdoelen…. Overigens werd Iran vrijwel direct genoemd als gelieerd aan de Houthi’s, ook al is daar geen nanometer bewijs voor……..

Over de Saoedische bombardementen gesproken: de Saoedische coalitie bombardeerde naast zaken als bruiloften en begrafenissen, hele huizenblokken, markten, ziekenhuizen, scholen, waterzuiveringsinstallaties en watertoevoer installaties, plus elektriciteitsbedrijven en de hele infrastructuur van wegen tot rioleringen…. Stuk voor stuk doelen die zijn verboden door de Conventie van Genève en die derhalve ernstige oorlogsmisdaden zijn, sterker nog: het zijn zelfs misdaden tegen de menselijkheid!!

‘Uiteraard’ moest Johnston de Houthi’s nog even de maat nemen* en daarmee de oorlogsmisdaden van de Saoedische coalitie bagatelliseren….. Volgens Johnston gebruiken de Houthi’s de bevolking als menselijk schild…… Een schunnige constatering daar de Houthi’s, nu eenmaal proberen de aanvallen, zoals die hiervoor beschreven, te voorkomen met luchtafweergeschut en ja dat gaat niet als je ergens ver weg van zo’n ‘doelwit-stad’ zit…… Bovendien hebben de Houthi’s ook medici in dienst die de bevolking proberen te helpen en ook die medici dienen beveiligd te worden…..

De totale onbeschaamdheid van de Saoedische coalitie kent geen grenzen meer, men geeft nu zelfs openlijk toe een schoolbus te hebben aangevallen……. Dit terwijl de terreur van de Saoedische coalitie intussen al aan meer dan dertigduizend mensen het leven heeft gekost (ofwel die werden vermoord) en er sprake is van een door de Saoediërs en psychopaten van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) gevoerde genocide tegen de sjiitische inwoners van Jemen…….

Hoe lang laat men de Saoedische terreurcoalitie nog haar gang gaan? Wanneer grijpt de wereld in, alleen al om het feit dat de Saoediërs een genocide uitvoeren in Jemen? Overigens zijn de VS en Groot-Brittannië medeverantwoordelijk voor die genocide vanwege allerlei hand en spandiensten, zoals training van soldaten, het coördineren van de bombardementen (daarmee is de VS mede hoofdverantwoordelijk voor de aanval op de schoolbus), het aftanken van vliegend oorlogstuig in de lucht), levering van wapen en munitie, plus de levering van vliegend, rollend en varend oorlogstuig………

* De BBC wordt bekostigd door de Britse overheid, de regering May die het ene na het andere grote wapencontract sluit met de reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië en tja, je kan als afhankelijke van subsidie de regering May niet te hard voor de schenen schoppen, door S-A af te schilderen als een terreurstaat….. Iran: moderne oorlogspropaganda ingezet door VS tegen ‘ongehoorzaam land…’

‘Zo ziet moderne oorlogspropaganda eruit’, luidt de kop boven een artikel van Caitlin Johnsone. Ze beschrijft hierin het grote aantal video’s, waarin heldhaftige jonge Iraanse moslim vrouwen ‘vechten’ voor hun vrijheid.

Johnstone wijst op het grote aantal malen dat deze video’s worden gedeeld door republikeinen en de pro-Israël lobby (plus: zionisten*), groepen die normaal gesproken totaal geen moeite hebben met de onderdrukking van vrouwen in islamitische landen, het gaat hier dan ook om Iraanse moslims (Iran is voor 89% sjiitisch) en niet om hun zwaar onderdrukte seksegenoten uit bijvoorbeeld Saoedi-Arabië (84% soennieten) of Egypte (93% soennieten)…….

Nee sterker nog: de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici roemen Mohammad bin Salman al-Saoed ofwel MBS, zoals men deze psychopathische moordenaar aanduidt, daar deze nieuwe machthebber in Saoedi-Arabië die vrouwen het recht heeft gegeven om auto te rijden, een wassen neus als je ziet hoe het er verder wat ‘vrouwenrechten’ voorstaat in S-A….. (die rechten zijn er niet.. Oh nee dom van mij: ze mogen nu autorijden, zodat ze mooi de boodschappen kunnen doen, als ‘manlief’ uit z’n neus zit te eten, of achter andere vrouwen aanzit….) Oh en voor ik het vergeet, deze MBS is tevens verantwoordelijk voor de genocide op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, waarin hij aan alle kanten wordt gesteund door de VS en GB, 2 NAVO lidstaten (al is de VS de feitelijke baas van de NAVO)……

In Iran mogen vrouwen al heel lang in auto’s rijden, echter dat schijnt niet van belang te zijn in het westen…. Ook het feit dat de huidige regering in Iran voorzichtig probeert de macht van de sjiitische leiders los te weken, hoeft amper of niet op westerse belangstelling te rekenen…..

Johnstone kan dan ook niet anders concluderen dan dat hier sprake is van oorlogspropaganda…… De voormalige staatssecretaris van BuZa in de VS, Rex Tillerson heeft een beleidsmedewerker, Brian Hook en deze stelde in een uitgelekt memorandum van de Trump administratie dat mensenrechten moeten worden gebruikt als knuppel om onwillige staten als Iran, Noord-Korea en China mee te slaan, terwijl de schending van mensenrechten moet worden toegestaan aan landen als Saoedi-Arabië, Egypte, de Filipijnen en Israël (al noemt Johnstone het laatste land niet in deze combinatie)………. In het memorandum is verder te lezen dat bondgenoten anders en beter moeten worden behandeld dan tegenstanders, daar je anders meer tegenstanders dan bondgenoten overhoudt……. (de VS was zelfs voor Saoedi-Arabië op de post van voorzitter van de VN Mensenrechtencommissie >> UNHRC)

Uit het voorgaande kan je ten overvloede nog eens destilleren dat men in de VS knettergek is en werkelijk denkt een wereldrijk te zijn, waar het naar goeddunken kan moorden en verder alles mag doen wat god verboden heeft (en dat voor een zwaar ‘christelijke’ natie…), zolang het maar in het belang is van dat rijk….

In feite is de VS werkelijk al lang het Vierde Rijk en heel wat succesvoller dan het Derde van Hitler in nazi-Duitsland….. Sinds WOII heeft de VS al meer dan 22 miljoen mensen vermoord**, dit feit zou toch een teken aan de wand moeten zijn voor zowel politici als de reguliere media in de rest van het westen……. Maar nee, de VS wordt afgeschilderd als de politieagent van de wereld, ook door de ten onrechte zo bejubelde rechtse zakkenwasser Henk Hofland…… Het maakt niet uit hoe de VS tekeergaat, de rest van het westen neemt gedwee de pet af en buigt eerbiedig het hoofd als de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde weer aan het moorden slaat in een volgend land…….

I’ve been noticing videos going viral the last few days, some with millions of views, about Muslim women bravely fighting to free themselves from oppression in the Middle East. The videos, curiously, are being shared enthusiastically by many Republicans and pro-Israel hawks, who aren’t traditionally the sort of crowd you see rallying to support the civil rights of Muslims. What’s up with that?

Well, you may want to sit down for this shocker, but it turns out that they happen to be women from a nation that the US war machine is currently escalating operations against. They are Iranian.

Whenever you see the sudden emergence of an attractive media campaign that is sympathetic to the plight of civilians in a resource-rich nation unaligned with the western empire, you are seeing propaganda. When that nation is surrounded by other nations with similar human rights transgressions and yet those transgressions are ignored by that same media campaign, you are most certainly seeing propaganda. When that nation just so happens to already be the target of starvation sanctions and escalated covert CIA ops, you can bet the farm that you are seeing propaganda.

Back in December a memo was leaked from inside the Trump administration showing how then-Secretary of State, DC neophyte Rex Tillerson, was coached on how the US empire uses human rights as a pretense on which to attack and undermine noncompliant governments. Politico reports:



The May 17 memo reads like a crash course for a businessman-turned-diplomat, and its conclusion offers a starkly realist vision: that the U.S. should use human rights as a club against its adversaries, like Iran, China and North Korea, while giving a pass to repressive allies like the Philippines, Egypt and Saudi Arabia”.

“Allies should be treated differently — and better — than adversaries. Otherwise, we end up with more adversaries, and fewer allies,” argued the memo, written by Tillerson’s influential policy aide, Brian Hook.

The propaganda machine doesn’t operate any differently from the State Department, since they serve the same establishment. US ally Saudi Arabia is celebrated by the mass media for “liberal reform” in allowing women to drive despite hard evidence that those “reforms” are barely surface-level cosmetics to present a pretty face to the western world, but Iranian women, who have been able to drive for years, are painted as uniquely oppressed. Iran is condemned by establishment war whores for the flaws in its democratic process, while Saudi Arabia, an actual monarchy, goes completely unscrutinized.

This is because the US-centralized power establishment, which has never at any point in its history cared about human rights, plans on effecting regime change in Iran by any means necessary. Should those means necessitate a potentially controversial degree of direct military engagement, the empire needs to make sure it retains control of the narrative.

This is what war propaganda looks like in the era of social media. It will never look ugly. It will never directly show you its real intentions. If it did, it wouldn’t work. It can’t just come right out and say “Hey we need to do horrible, evil things to the people in this country on the other side of the world in your name using your resources, please play along without making a fuss.” It will necessarily look fresh and fun and rebellious. It will look appealing. It will look sexy.

And it’s working. I am currently getting tagged in these videos multiple times a day by Trump supporters who are eager to show me proof that I’m on the wrong side of the Iran issue; the psyop is so well-lubricated with a combination of sleek presentation and confirmation bias that it slides right past their skepticism and becomes accepted as fact, even the one with the Now This pussyhat propaganda logo in the corner.

Be less trusting of these monsters, please. The people of Afghanistan haven’t benefitted from the interminable military quagmire that has cost tens of thousands of their lives. The invaders of Iraq were never “greeted as liberators” by an oppressed population. The humanitarian intervention in Libya left a humanitarian catastrophe in its wake far more horrific than anything it claimed to be trying to prevent. Saving the children of Syria with western interventionism has left half a million Syrians dead.

If the Iranians do in fact wish to change their government, it should happen without crippling sanctions, collaboration with extremist terror cults, or the rapey tentacles of the CIA manipulating the situation. There has never been a US-led regime change in the Middle East that wasn’t disastrous. People should be screaming at the US and its allies to cease these interventions, not applauding propaganda that is clearly being manufactured by that same empire.

Henry Kissinger (als de presidenten Clinton, Obama en Trump en hun voorgangers, een oorlogsmisdadiger die als Obama de Nobelprijs
voor ‘de Vrede’ ontving…), Rupert Murdoch (eigenaar groot aantal
nepnieuws organen, ofwel reguliere mediaorganen), psychopaat Pompeo
e.a. (zoals je begrijpt zijn ook de voornoemde oorlogsmisdadigers zonder meer als psychopaten aan te merken)

Voorts
werd MBS ontvangen door zionistisch joodse organisaties, waaronder
organisaties die geld steken in de illegale Israëlische
nederzettingen op de West Bank, wat nog eens onderstreept hoe goed de
banden zijn tussen de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël en de

Wat
dat laatste betreft: hoe is het mogelijk dat terreurgroepen als IS
zich niet keren tegen het Saoedische bewind……. Blijkbaar is het

belangrijker dan de ‘waarden en idealen’ waar deze terreurgroepen voor

over de VS, een ‘land’ waarvan de opvolgende regeringen keer op keer

Gives Murderous Saudi Crown Prince the Red Carpet Treatment

(ANTIMEDIA) — Saudi
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) recently met with leaders of a
number of right-wing Jewish organizations, including the notorious
pro-Israel lobby AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee),
according to a leaked
copy of
his itinerary obtained by Haaretz.

Aside
from AIPAC, MBS also met with a number of other groups that
have donated millions
to illegal settlement building. These groups are also responsible for
launching efforts to quash the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions
(BDS) movement and include the likes of the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) and the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA), as well
leaders from the Conference of Presidents, B’nai B’rith, and the
American Jewish Committee (AJC).

If
ever proof was needed that Saudi Arabia has completely abandoned the
Palestinian people in favor of its longstanding commitment to focus
its resources on its regional power struggle against Iran, this is
it. AIPAC is one of the primary
backers of legislation in
the U.S. that seeks to target and stifle BDS,
allegedly spending millions in the process.

Between
2012 and 2015, JFNA reportedly gave
almost $6 million to advance illegal Israeli settlements, allegedly
also aiding Jewish families suspected or convicted of violence
against Palestinian people.

This
latest development is part of an overall
pattern of
a continued
strengthening of ties between
Israel and Saudi Arabia (even though Saudi Arabia technically doesn’t
recognize Israel as a state). What we should worry about, however, is
the likelihood that Saudi Arabia will be expecting something from
Israel in return for MBS’ newfound partnership with Israel, and it
shouldn’t be too hard to venture a guess as to what that something
is.

As Middle
East Eye explained previously:

“Saudi
Arabia will only be able to destabilize Lebanon if it works with
Israel, the only country with the military capabilities to threaten
Lebanon’s fragile peace. Will Mohammed bin Salman go as far as
striking a deal with Israel in which he offers full normalisation in
return for Israel destroying Hezbollah and Iran in Lebanon?”

As
the Saudi-Israel alliance solidifies, expect things to heat up in
both Syria and Lebanon. The most direct way of countering Iran’s
expanding influence without going to war with Iran on Iranian soil is
through these latter two countries, and Saudi
Arabia has
had its sights set on both of them for a long time now — as has
Israel.

On
another note, MBS is also reportedly set to meet with Oprah Winfrey
and has already met with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Senator Chuck
Schumer, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, alleged war
criminal Henry Kissinger, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
the New
York Times’ Thomas
Friedman, Rupert Murdoch, CIA director Mike Pompeo (who is next in
line for the position of secretary of state), Vice President Mike
Pence, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and Jared Kushner, who MBS
allegedly bragged about
having “in his pocket.”

He
is also set to meet renowned business leaders such as Bill Gates,
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Apple’s Tim Cook, and the CEOs of
Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, Uber, the Walt Disney Company and Lockheed
Martin (no surprises
on that last one).

Weer een
geval van je gelooft je ogen niet als je het leest: de
psychopathische Saoedische kroonprins Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), de
oorlogsmisdadiger die verantwoordelijk is voor de gaande zijnde
genocide op sjiieten in Jemen*, werd maar liefst 75 minuten lang
gepromoot door de Washington Post (WaPo).

Tijdens
de promotie voor deze schoft stelde deze ‘MBS’ dat de VS en andere
westerse landen Saoedi-Arabië hebben gevraagd haar vorm van islam,
het wahabisme uit te dragen in landen die banden onderhielden met de
Sovjet-Unie, ofwel als instrument te dienen tegen het
‘communisme………’

E.e.a.
nadat Saoedi-Arabië het wahabisme ging uitdragen als reactie op
Nasser, de ‘socialistische’ president van Egypte, waar de term ‘nasserisme’ haar oorsprong vond. Nasser was de Egyptische president die tijdens zijn leven (en lang daarna) immens populair was in de arabische wereld……..

In de 80er jaren leidde dit tot de samenwerking van de VS met Saoedi-Arabië in de strijd tegen door de Sovjet-Unie gesteunde linkse bewind in Afghanistan, ofwel: dit leidde tot de strijd tegen de Russische troepen in dat land……. Met deze steun werd de Taliban als strijdgroep groot (en machtig) in Afghanistan, dezelfde Taliban, die de VS met de NAVO aan de leiband nu al bijna 17 jaar lang bestrijd zonder enig succes, sterker nog: de Taliban is niet ver verwijderd van het punt waarop de oorlog begon in 2001……. Een oorlog die aan een enorm aantal burgers het leven heeft gekost (ofwel: die zijn vermoord), lullig genoeg kan je daar (althans ikzelf) geen cijfers voor vinden**, men spreekt over tienduizenden, echter dat moet intussen de 250.000 al lang zijn gepasseerd…….

hoe ook het bouwen van moskeeën en madrassa’s (islam scholen) door Saoedi-Arabië

danken aan de VS en andere westerse landen….. Overigens bleek uit de gelekte e-mails van Hillary Clinton, dat Saoedi-Arabië de grootste sponsor is van IS…….. I.p.v. Clinton te vervolgen (ook door de reguliere massa-media) voor het niet delen van deze informatie, het niet ingrijpen op deze informatie en haar innige banden met Saoedi-Arabië, maakt men zich druk om wie de e-mails heeft gelekt…… Ongelofelijk!!

Crown Prince: America Asked Us to Spread Ideology of ISIS

(ANTIMEDIA) — In
the latest continuation of western media’s shameless promotion of
a known war criminal, the Washington
Post (WaPo) sat
down with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) last Thursday
for a 75-minute discussion (even the Post itself
previously published an acknowledgment of
his crimes).

While
the Post’s write-up focuses mainly on the
allegation that MBS has Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner,
“in his pocket,” the war in Yemen, and the rights of women in the
Kingdom, most curious is the second-to-last paragraph of the report,
which states the following:

“Asked
about the Saudi-funded spread of Wahhabism, the austere faith that is
dominant in the kingdom and that some have accused of being a source
of global terrorism, Mohammed said that investments in mosques and
madrassas overseas were rooted in the Cold War, when
allies asked Saudi Arabia to use its resources to prevent inroads in
Muslim countries by the Soviet Union.” [emphasis
added]

What?
Allies asked Saudi Arabia to use its resources —
specifically, investments in mosques and madrassas overseas —to
prevent countries from forming alliances with the former Soviet
Union?

Of
course, it was already known that
Saudi Arabia was doing just that for decades, but this is the first
time the blame has been openly shifted to Western allies in an
interview with a major newspaper.

As the Week explained in
2015, Saudi Arabia has spent billions of dollars “investing
heavily in building mosques, madrasas, schools, and Sunni cultural
centers across the Muslim world. Indian intelligence says that in
India alone, from 2011 to 2013, some 25,000 Saudi clerics arrived
bearing more than $250 million to build mosques and universities and
hold seminars.”

The
effects of this policy have been far-reaching. As even pro-war
pundit Fareed Zakaria has documented:

“In
Southeast Asia, almost all observers whom I have spoken with believe
that there is another crucial cause [behind the ‘cancer’ of
Islamic extremism] – exported money and ideology from the Middle
East, chiefly Saudi Arabia. A Singaporean official told me, ‘Travel
around Asia and you will see so many new mosques and madrassas built
in the last 30 years that have had funding from the Gulf. They are
modern, clean, air-conditioned, well-equipped – and Wahhabi [Saudi
Arabia’s puritanical version of Islam].’

Recently,
it was reported that Saudi Arabia plans to contribute almost $1
billion to build 560 mosques in Bangladesh. The Saudi government has
denied this, but sources in Bangladesh tell me there’s some truth
to the report.”

Saudi
Arabia’s funding for extremism has even reached as far as the
Indian Ocean. According
to the New
York Times,
Saudi Arabia has “for
decades spread its conservative strand of Islam in the Maldives by
sending religious leaders, building mosques and giving scholarships
to students to attend universities.” Is
it a mere coincidence therefore that the South
China Morning Post reported that
Indian intelligence sources are claiming hundreds of Maldivians have
joined ISIS in Syria?

We
also know from
Hillary Clinton’s leaked emails that Saudi Arabia was almost
certainly one of ISIS’ prime sponsors — and that the Clinton camp
was well aware of this issue.

While
this is the first time a prominent figurehead like MBS has admitted
not only that Saudi Arabia spreads its Wahhabist strain of Islam
across the world but also that it was done at the request of its
western allies, there is proof that MBS’ claim is a well-kept
secret of former and current American administrations.

As
former U.S. ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad wrote
in September 2016,
a Saudi official quietly admitted this little-known fact almost two
years ago:

“He
[the Saudi official] explained that Saudi support for Islamic
extremism started in the early 1960s as a counter to Nasserism—the
socialist political ideology that came out of the thinking of Egypt’s
Gamal Abdel Nasser—which threatened Saudi Arabia and led to war
between the two countries along the Yemen border. This tactic allowed
them to successfully contain Nasserism, and the Saudis concluded that
Islamism could be a powerful tool with broader utility.

“Under
their new and unprecedented policy of honesty, the Saudi leadership
also explained to me that their support for
extremism was a way of resisting the Soviet Union, often in
cooperation with the United States, in places like Afghanistan in the
1980s. In
this application too, they argued, it proved successful. Later it was
deployed against Iranian-supported Shiite movements in the
geopolitical competition between the two countries.” [emphasis
added]

Bertus Hendriks (Midden-Oosten ‘deskundige’) looft nieuwe Saoedische dictator……..

Oud-journalist en ‘Midden-Oosten’ deskundige Bertus Hendriks was vanmorgen te horen bij de ‘onafhankelijke’ zendgemachtigde NOS (rond 7.42 u.).

Hendriks stak m.n. de nieuwe Saoedische dictator Mohammad Bin Salman (al-Saoud), ook wel bekend als MBS, fiks wat veren in de vieze reet. Niet alleen zou MBS het vrouwen mogelijk maken om vanaf ik dacht a.s. 1 juli ook auto te mogen rijden, maar hen veel meer vrijheden zou hebben toegekend…… Vreemd dat daar dan geen aandacht voor is in de media, die met grote graagte ‘mooi’ Saoedisch nieuws willen brengen (immers voor de eigenaren van de reguliere media gaan ook de centen ver voor de moraal)…..

Als je Hendriks moet geloven wordt de religieuze politie door MBS aan de kant gezet…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Hendriks is als deskundige dus niet op de hoogte van de macht die de imams e.d. figuren hebben in de Saoedische maatschappij……

Ook de Saoedische oorlog tegen de opstandelingen in Jemen kwam ter sprake en daar is volgens Hendriks een ‘self fulfilling prophecy’ gaande van MBS. Immers hij zou daar tegen Iran strijden, dat zich in eerste instantie niet met de oorlog in Jemen bemoeide, maar door de acties van Saoedi-Arabië nu wel in Jemen aanwezig zou zijn………

Waar haalt fantast Hendriks het vandaan? Iran zit niet in Jemen en heeft tot nu toe louter humanitaire hulpgoederen geleverd aan de Houthi’s…… Deze Houthi’s kwamen terecht in opstand tegen Al Hadi*, die ook destijds president van Jemen was. Na enige tijd stapte president Al-Hadi op, maar werd door de Saoediërs gedwongen zijn taak als president weer op te nemen, zodat zij de sjiitische Houthi’s konden bestrijden……

Intussen kan je spreken van een genocide op de sjiitische bevolking in Jemen, waar als één van de hoofdverantwoordelijken deze Mohammad Bin Salman kan worden aangewezen, een schoft waar Hendriks zo te horen wel bewondering voor heeft……..

Overigens zei Hendriks toen ik net afstemde op Radio1, dat de wereld ongerust is over de toestand in Jemen……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, zo ongerust dat men geen flikker doet en geen sancties en boycot instelt tegen Saoedi-Arabië en haar coalitiegenoten (gesteund door de VS en Groot-Brittannië), terwijl een land als Noord-Korea de ene sanctie na de ander opgelegd krijgt, met welwillende instemming van een groot deel van de wereld…….. (terwijl Noord-Korea in feite alleen bezig is met de verdediging tegen VS agressie….)

Nogmaals: er is een genocide gaande in Jemen en weer kijkt de wereld weg………

* De Houthi’s kwamen vooral in opstand daar Al-Hadi de soennitische terreurgroepen IS en Al Qaida onderdak verleende in Jemen, waarna deze psychopaten hun terreur op de sjiieten in dit land richtten…….

De Verenigde Arabische Emiraten hebben de regering van Jemen opzij gezet en niemand bericht erover……..

Alsof
Jemen nog niet genoeg in de stront zit, een land waar dagelijks
honderden mensen sterven van honger, uitputting, cholera en difterie,
hebben de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten nu hun zinnen gezet op het
zuidelijk deel van Jemen, zodat ze één van de belangrijkste zeestraten ter wereld kunnen controleren……..

De
Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) hebben de in feite al illegale
regering van Jemen gedwongen te vertrekken……. ‘Illegaal’ daar Hadi, die
‘bij gebrek aan een tegenkandidaat’ in 2012 met meer dan 99% van de
stemmen (en dat waren er niet veel…) werd gekozen…… 

Hadi zelf spreekt wat betreft de actie van de VAE over een coup…….. De VAE maken gebruik van een groot aantal goed getrainde huurlingen uit Zuid-Amerika., je weet wel van die psychopaten voor wie mensenlevens evenveel waard zijn als die van vleeskuikens (die men kippen durft te noemen) uit de intensieve martelveehouderij……..

Opvallend
weer, de afwezigheid van dit bericht in de reguliere media, wat de
schrijver van het volgende artikel, Darius Shahtahmasebi wijt aan de
vele ‘conflicten’ waarmee de wereld wordt geplaagd, echter het zit een stuk
smeriger in elkaar dan hij denkt……. Immers ook voor de vreselijke
oorlog die de Saoedische coalitie onder regie en met hulp van de VS
voert tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, dat wordt verdedigd
door de Houthi rebellen, is amper aandacht in de reguliere media…. Sterker nog: als men al bericht is dat op een manier waarbij de Houthi rebellen worden afgeschilderd als de aanstichters van de huidige oorlog……. Intussen richt Saoedi-Arabië in Jemen de ene slachting na de andere aan……. 

Terwijl de Houthi’s de enige strijdgroep vormen, die zich verzette tegen
IS en Al Qaida, terreurgroepen die van Hadi toestemming kregen hun kampement op te
slaan in Jemen, waarna deze terreurgroepen tekeer gingen tegen de
sjiitische bevolking……. Dit was dan ook de reden voor de Houthi’s om Hadi te
verjagen, zeer tegen de zin van de reli-fascistische staat
Saoedi-Arabië die Hadi onder druk hebben gezet zijn claim op het
presidentschap te handhaven,  zodat hij hen te hulp kon roepen……

Daarnaast zijn de reguliere media in handen van grote investeerders dan wel miljonairs (en miljardairs), die handelsbelangen prefereren boven mensenrechtenschendingen dan wel oorlogsmisdaden gepleegd door landen waar veel te verdienen valt. Hetzelfde geldt voor de westerse publieke media, die afhankelijk zijn van subsidies van hun overheden, neoliberale overheden die alles behalve willen dat handelsbelangen met rijke en grote olie-exporteurs worden geschaad…….

Zoals gezegd de
reguliere westerse media hebben de oorlog van S-A tegen de Houthi’s
willens en wetens verdraait, waardoor de Houthi’s als terroristen
werden afgeschilderd en S-A als de goede partij wordt neergezet, een partij die orde op zaken
kwam stellen voor ‘de rechtmatige regering……’ Uiteraard hebben die media geen behoefte de
laatste staatsgreep van de VAE te melden, immers hoe moeten ze dan in godsnaam
nog hun leugens verklaren…..??? Je hoort nu dan ook bijvoorbeeld op Radio1 en BNR dat de ‘deskundigen’ stellen de toestand in Jemen te ingewikkeld te vinden, om nog uit te kunnen leggen aan de luisteraars……..

UAE
Just Overthrew Yemen’s Government — and Nobody’s Talking About
It

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — Between
a major regional confrontation on the horizon taking
place in Syria between
Israel, Syria, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and the United States and a
potential nuclear
standoff with
North Korea and China, it is no surprise that there are many
newsworthy stories that continue to go unnoticed.

One
such story is what is currently taking place in Yemen, and this time
around, it involves a country other than Saudi Arabia, the United
States, or the United Kingdom.

In
early 2015, Yemen’s President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi fled
his palace in Aden after
a takeover saw him unseated in a relatively bloodless manner
(bloodless, that is, compared what followed after Saudi Arabia’s
brutal intervention). Hadi was still recognized internationally as
president even though he technically had already been overthrown. (By
way of comparison, the United States insists that President Bashar
al-Assad in Syria is not the country’s legitimate ruler, even as he
continues to retain his office after around seven years of fighting).

Saudi
Arabia, in particular, was adamant that Hadi maintained the country’s
legitimate leader. Why? Because Hadi was the one who requested U.N.
intervention and Saudi assistance to battle the Houthi-led
insurgency. Without Hadi, their basis to bomb Yemen without a U.N.
mandate becomes even more dubious than it already has been.

However,
Saudi Arabia is not the only major player in Yemen. While the
corporate media — in tandem with the warmongering
government officials who
apparently have nothing better to do than to fabricate nonsense –
continue to blame Iran for the deteriorating situation in Yemen, the
truth remains that there is one other U.S. ally heavily involved in
destabilizing one of the poorest nations in the Arab world.

At
the end of January of this year, the Telegraph reported that
Yemen’s current government was preparing to flee Yemen entirely
while a separatist group backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
seized control in Aden and surrounded the presidential palace.
Yemen’s other major city, Sana’a, is more
or less under the control of
the Houthi rebels. Rather than wasting valuable time and resources
trying to take over Yemen’s former capital in the face of a
determined Houthi outfit, the UAE instead has plans of its own to
completely form their own country in the south of Yemen.

Last
year, southern insurgents backed by the UAE formed the Southern
Transitional Council with the aim of reforming South Yemen, a country
that existed until it united with the north in
1990. Accordingto Middle
East Eye,
these southern separatists have no interest at all in conquering
Sana’a, anyway.

According
to the Telegraph,
Yemen’s prime minister, Ahmed bin Dagher, pleaded with Saudi Arabia
to intervene on the government’s behalf. But no
such intervention came,
and Saudi Arabia has essentially enabled the separatists’ take
over.

When
Yemen’s former leader Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed by Houthi
forces near the end of last year, Anti-Media predicted this
to be a major pivotal moment for the war in Yemen. According
to Middle
East Eye,
it was this event that became the turning point in the UAE-Saudi
relationship in Yemen. UAE has no interest in fighting a losing
battle and has aligned itself with the party it views as being able
to get the job done and serve their interests in Yemen, “riding the
wave,” as Middle
East Eye described
it.

As
long as Hadi can retain his post as exiled president and legitimize
Saudi Arabia’s presence in the country, Saudi Arabia is not
expected to do much by way of confronting UAE’s regional ambitions.
This is even while the UAE would
not allow Hadi
to enter Aden in August of last year. Hadi himself views
the entire situation as
a “coup” and has called the separatists “occupiers,” not
liberators.

Right
now, as well as having large-scale ground troops in the country,
training tens of thousands of Yemeni troops and importing hundreds of
highly skilled mercenaries from South America, the UAE is
also operating
a network of torture prisons in
Southern Yemen. Thousands of terror suspects have allegedly
disappeared in these prisons.

As
poor and impoverished as Yemen is, its geostrategic importance should
not be overlooked. Yemen is situated in an important
transit route,
and by controlling strategically important trade routes, the UAE can
continue to develop and expand its fossil-fuel trade to Europe and
North America and become a global energy superpower.

According
to leaked
emails revealed
to Middle
East Eye last
year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman actually wants out of
the war in Yemen, and these latest developments only continue to cast
further doubt on Saudi Arabia’s strategy in its almost
three-year-long war. Saudi Arabia has shown that together with the
U.S., the U.K., and other regional players, it can devastate Yemen’s
infrastructure and civilian population, but it has absolutely nothing
to show by way of military victory.

This
has all taken place with very little media coverage. We have
witnessed Donald Trump’s ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley,
berate Iran over its alleged and unproven activities in Yemen, and
even Saudi Arabia has received some negative
media coverage for its criminal role in this war.
Yet the UAE’s continued occupation of Yemen largely goes unnoticed.

The
UAE is the world’s fourth-largest arms importer after Saudi Arabia,
India, and China. The UAE also
infamously assisted in the aerial onslaught of
Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya in 2011 and continued
to wage a proxy war in
the country even after Gaddafi was overthrown.

No
one is talking about it, but the UAE has its sights on becoming a
major player in the region not just economically, but also
militarily.

One
reason why the UAE’s ever-expanding role in the Middle East
continues to go under-reported may be the vast amount
of influence the
current UAE ambassador to the U.S., Yousef Al Otaiba, wields. He is
reportedly “one
of the most powerful and well-connected men in Washington,”
as detailed by the Intercept.
Unsurprisingly, Otaiba is also allegedly the leading voice in
Washington for the war in Yemen.
