Kwam via Linkedin het
hieronder opgenomen bevreemdende BBC artikel tegen. Hierin wordt
onder meer gesteld dat mensen die werden gevaccineerd met een eerste
dosis Pfizer of AstraZeneca en die 3 weken later werden geïnfecteerd
met het Coronavirus, tussen de 38 en 49% minder kans hadden het virus
door te geven dan niet gevaccineerden, zo concludeerde Public Health
England >> PHE (het Britse ministerie van Volksgezondheid) na
onderzoek.  

Matt Hancock, de
Britse minister van volksgezondheid noemde dit geweldig nieuws…….
Vreemd je zou denken dat echt geweldig nieuws zou zijn als minstens
95% van de gevaccineerden het virus niet meer door zou kunnen geven,
echter gezien de cijfers ligt het gemiddelde zelfs een stuk onder de
helft……. (immers van 38% tot 49% waar het gemiddelde dus rond de
44% zou moeten liggen….). Hancock gebruikte de gelegenheid om
iedereen nog eens aan te sporen zich te laten vaccineren.

In de studie wordt
voorts geconcludeerd dat gevaccineerden na 14 dagen zijn beschermd
tegen COVID-19 met gelijke niveaus aan bescherming ongeacht leeftijd
of manier van besmetting……. Je zou gezien het voorgaande dus
denken dat ook hier het percentage echt beschermde gevaccineerden
rond de 44% moet liggen….. Echter dat was het nog niet: hier werd
aan toegevoegd dat de bescherming bovenop het verminderde risico komt
dat een gevaccineerde persoon in eerste instantie loopt op een
symptomatische infectie, waar deze rond de 60 tot 65% ligt in de
eerste 4 weken na een dosis van het ene of andere vaccin.

Dr. Mary Ramsey, hoofd
immuniteit van PHE stelde dat vaccins belangrijk zijn om de weg terug
te vinden naar een normale manier van leven* en dat
vaccins niet alleen de ernst van de klachten doet verminderen, verder zouden ze
voorkomen dat dagelijks honderden mensen overlijden aan het virus**,
maar dat we nu dus ook zien dat de kans dat gevaccineerden het virus
doorgeven aan anderen veel lager is……. 

Dacht toch echt dat
men eerder stelde dat gevaccineerden het virus in het geheel niet
door konden geven, terwijl dr. Fauci (dr. Fraudski) vorig jaar nog
stelde dat gevaccineerden nog heel lang het virus wel degelijk kunnen
doorgeven en zich aan de Coronamaatregelen moeten houden, wat later
door de Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in de VS
(een soort van RIVM) werd herroepen. Nu blijkt dus volgens het
onderzoek van PHE dat gevaccineerden het virus wel degelijk kunnen
doorgeven, waarbij men halleluja roept over een verminderde kans tot
het doorgeven van het virus…….. En dan stelt men hier en in het
buitenland dat gevaccineerden zich straks met een ‘Coronapaspoort’ in
het geheel niet meer aan de regels behoeven te houden, terwijl ook
Ramsey stelt dat het onderzoek van PHE bemoedigend is, maar dat het
belangrijk is dat men zich moet blijven gedragen alsof ze het virus
onder de leden hebben en zich aan de regels moeten blijven
houden…… 

Epidemioloog van de
universiteit van Warwick, Mike Tildesley stelt dat de vaccins niet
100% effectief zijn noch wat betreft het voorkomen van ernstige
symptomen, noch bij het voorkomen van besmetting met het virus, maar
het bewijs suggereert dat de vaccins in ieder geval enig niveau van
bescherming biedt tegen het doorgeven van het virus als je toch besmet
raakt……. (‘hééééél geruststellend…..’)

Moet zeggen dat ik er
intussen geen chocola meer van kan maken en ben benieuwd wat het
uiteindelijk wordt…….. (waar ik zoals al vaker op deze plek wil toevoegen: dat de vaccinmakers hun eigen vaccin niet
vertrouwen en van elke land waar hun vaccin wordt ingezet eisen dat ze
niet verantwoordelijk kunnen worden gesteld voor ernstige
bijwerkingen op de korte, middellange en lange termijn……)

Covid: One dose of vaccine halves transmission – study

A single dose of a coronavirus vaccine can reduce household transmission of the virus by up to half, a study shows.

Those
given a first dose of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines – and
who became infected three weeks later – were between 38% and 49% less
likely to pass the virus on than unvaccinated people, PHE found.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock described the study’s results as “terrific news”.

He has urged “everybody to get their vaccines as soon as they are eligible”.

In
the study, protection against Covid was seen from about 14 days after
vaccination, with similar levels of protection regardless of age of
cases or contacts, PHE said in a statement.

It
added that this protection was on top of the reduced risk of a
vaccinated person developing symptomatic infection in the first place,
which is around 60 to 65% – four weeks after one dose of either vaccine.

Dr
Mary Ramsay, head of immunisation at PHE, said: “Vaccines are vital in
helping us return to a normal way of life. Not only do vaccines reduce
the severity of illness and prevent hundreds of deaths every day, we now
see they also have an additional impact on reducing the chance of
passing Covid-19 on to others.”

But,
while she said the findings were “encouraging”, she said it was
important people continue to act like they have the virus, “practise
good hand hygiene and follow social distancing guidance”.

Households
are high-risk settings for transmission, meaning the study provides
early evidence on the impact of vaccines in preventing onward
transmission, PHE said.

Similar
results could be expected in other settings with similar transmission
risks, such as shared accommodation and prisons, it added.

University
of Warwick epidemiologist Mike Tildesley said the findings were
significant but pressed people to continue to take up vaccination
offers.

“We
need to remember these vaccines are not 100% effective either at
preventing severe symptoms or at allowing yourself to be infected but
the evidence is suggesting they are providing at least some level of
protection from passing the virus on if you do get infected,” he told
BBC’s Breakfast.

He
said the study was extra evidence that as many people as possible
needed to be vaccinated, even if they are not at risk of developing
severe symptoms, in order to get much higher levels of protection across
the population and reduce the number of people who get severely ill and
die from the disease.

This
is the latest piece of evidence to indicate that vaccines are slowing
the transmission of the virus as well as saving lives.

Households are among the most likely places for infection to spread, so these set of results are particularly encouraging.

Public
Health England has said it would expect similar results in other
high-risk settings, such as shared accommodation and prisons.

All
this bodes well for the continued easing of restrictions, especially as
the vaccination campaign is making good progress into younger age
groups – who are more likely to spread the virus.

And
it also gives further reassurance to those concerned about the fact
that children will not be vaccinated – and so might bring infection into
households.

A
cause for concern, though, is whether newer variants of the virus,
which might be more resistant to vaccines, might cause a new surge in
infections.

But
the expert opinion is that the current vaccines will provide a
significant degree of protection, especially against severe illness.

election years, politicians like her watch the news more closely than
ever. A sustained media outcry in Germany could focus discussion and be a
real game-changer.

But we have to move fast and invest smartly to make it happen. We
don’t take a single cent from companies or governments. It’s the energy
and euros of members like you that keep us going. So, to pull this off
we all need to get behind the idea.

*   Gezien alle mutaties en de stelling van een aantal deskundigen dat vaccinaties juist mutaties kunnen veroorzaken, lijkt het me een beetje ‘prematuur’ om te kunnen spreken over een teruggaan naar een normale manier van leven…… Bovendien is het de hoogste tijd dat men eens met duidelijke cijfers over het aantal Coronadoden komt en daarmee eerlijk moet aangeven hoeveel overleden mensen werden gerekend tot Coronaslachtoffers, zonder dat men dit echt heeft uitgezocht…. Neem het aantal griepslachtoffers van afgelopen jaar >> veel minder dan in voorgaande jaren, terwijl er wel degelijk een fikse griep rondging (zo liep ik voor het eerst in een aantal decennia een fikse griep op, waar ik nog steeds de gevolgen van voel en die voor mij redelijk ernstige bijwerkingen hadden, waar ik nog 3 maanden mee te kampen zal hebben…..)…. Ik heb dan ook de idee dat heel veel griepdoden zijn toegrekend aan COVID-19, immers een aantal symptomen zijn hetzelfde……… 

**  waarbij opgemerkt moet worden dat 90% van de overledenen aan het Coronavirus één of meerdere klachten onder de leden hadden……
