Trump
heeft zich door de zwaar corrupte oorlogsmisdadiger Netanyahu in
laten fluisteren (op een niveau van 80 decibel) dat Iran de boel in
het Midden-Oosten destabiliseert en dat niet de VS maar Iran
verantwoordelijk is voor de illegale oorlogen van de VS tegen
Afghanistan, Irak en Syrië….. Trump durft het nog niet aan, maar
‘de bewering van Netanyahu’ dat Iran ook verantwoordelijk is voor
9/11, klonk als muziek in z’n oren, zeker weet Trump ‘t niet meer,
echter niet valt uit te sluiten dat Trump e.e.a. heeft gedroomd……
Moet
eerlijk toegeven dat het me meevalt dat de westerse partners van de
VS nog steeds achter de nucleaire deal met Iran (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, ofwel: JCPOA) blijven staan,
terwijl de VS zich daaruit terugtrok. Hoe vreemd dan dat deze
partners zich wel achter de VS scharen als het om Venezuela
gaat…… Neem bijvoorbeeld de genocide in Jemen, waar dagelijks
grote aantallen slachtoffers vallen, daaronder bevinden zich veel kinderen: het
westen blijft achter de drogredenen staan die de VS aanvoert voor
haar deelname aan die genocide, terwijl elke imbeciel kan zien dat de
Saoedische terreurcoalitie verantwoordelijk is voor deze genocide…… De VS blijft zich achter die terreurcoalitie stellen en helpt zelfs militair mee aan de genocide, waar de VS o.a. de bombardementen op Jemenitische burgerdoelen regisseert middels haar AWACS vliegtuigen…….
Zie het
verschil met Venezuela, daar wordt allesbehalve een genocide
uitgevoerd, maar in het westen maakt men zich wel hysterisch druk over de toestand in Venezuela…… Terwijl er in Venezuela niet dagelijks grote
aantallen doden zijn te bergen en wordt er daar niet systematisch
gemarteld in de gevangenissen, zoals de Saoedische terreurcoalitie
dit wel doet in Jemen……
Iedereen die het nieuws over Venezuela de
laatste jaren heeft gevolgd, niet in de reguliere media maar op de
sociale media, waar nog wel artikelen van echt onafhankelijke journalisten zijn te
vinden, kan weten dat de VS al onder Obama een economische oorlog
voerde tegen dat land….. Maar nee, niet de westerse politiek en reguliere media, nee men huilt mee
in het koor van de VS wolven en stelt dat Maduro op moet stappen en dat hij verantwoordelijk is voor de desastreuze economische toestand in Venezuela…….
Hoe is
het in godsnaam mogelijk dat het westen (buiten de VS) zich niet druk
maakt over de genocide in Jemen, sterker nog: men noemt dit nog
steeds geen genocide, terwijl alle tekenen daarvoor ruim voorhanden
zijn…… Nee, de coup tegen Maduro is duizend keer meer
belangrijker (zoals eerder de moord op Khashoggi) en dat is bepaald niet in de laatste plaats aan dezelfde
hersenkronkels van superpsychopaat Trump te danken, die men in het westen dan (gelukkig) niet volgt
in zijn strijd tegen Iran…….

(MEE) — US
President Donald Trump has called US intelligence chiefs “extremely
passive and naive” regarding Iran, a day after they contradicted
his views during congressional testimony.
During
a hearing on global threats on Tuesday, the leaders of several US
intelligence agencies told the Senate Intelligence Committee that
Iran is not taking steps towards making a nuclear bomb, a conclusion
that contrasts starkly with Trump’s assessment.
Director
of National Intelligence Dan Coats, as well as the directors of the
CIA, FBI, National Security Agency and other intelligence agencies,
spoke before the committee.
On
Wednesday, Trump responded on Twitter, saying “the
Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it
comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong!”
“Perhaps
Intelligence should go back to school!” he added.
Former
CIA Director John Brennan retweeted the president’s remarks,
calling Trump’s refusal to accept the intelligence assessments a
sign of “intellectual bankruptcy”.
Your refusal to accept the unanimous assessment of U.S. Intelligence on Iran, No. Korea, ISIS, Russia, & so much more shows the extent of your intellectual bankruptcy. All Americans, especially members of Congress, need to understand the danger you pose to our national security.
In
his arguments posted to Twitter, Trump accused Tehran of actively
seeking nuclear weapons, reiterating the justification he gave for
withdrawing last year from a multilateral treaty on Iran.
Under
the 2015 deal, Iran agreed to restrict its nuclear activities in
exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
The
US intelligence officials told the Senate Intelligence Committee that
Iran was not developing nuclear weapons in violation of the
agreement.
The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but….
During
Tuesday’s hearing, the country’s top spies also took issue with
Trump’s assertion that the Islamic State (IS) group has been
defeated.
Trump
defended his decision to withdraw about 2,000 US troops from Syria on
grounds that IS no longer poses a threat, saying “we’ve beaten
them”.
“Caliphate
will soon be destroyed, unthinkable two years ago,” Trump said on
Twitter at the time.
Trump
has given the Pentagon about four months to withdraw US troops from
Syria, backtracking from his abrupt December order for a pullout
within 30 days.
The
US intelligence chiefs said IS would continue to pursue attacks from
Syria and Iraq against regional and Western adversaries, including
the US.
“The
President has a dangerous habit of undermining the intelligence
community to fit his alternate reality,” Senator Mark Warner, the
Senate Intelligence Committee’s top Democrat, wrote on Twitter.
“People risk their lives for the intelligence he just tosses aside
on Twitter.”
Republican
Congressman Mike Gallagher, who served as a Marine Corps intelligence
officer while deployed in Iraq, also defended the intelligence
agencies, saying: “They are doing a very difficult job and they are
actually trying to advance the president’s priorities”.
The
CIA and the director of national intelligence office did not comment
on Trump’s remarks.

Zoals te
verwachten was van de Saoedische terreurcoalitie*, houdt deze zich
niet aan de gesloten wapenstilstand, waarmee een einde aan de
genocide in Jemen zou kunnen worden gemaakt….
De
genocide in Jemen, die ondanks een VN akkoord voor de levering van
hulpgoederen via de Rode Zee, door de Saoedische terreurcoalitie wordt voortgezet met bombardementen op
silo’s waarin aangevoerd graan via deze zee in de haven van Hodeida kan worden opgeslagen
voor de hongerende bevolking in Jemen…… Verder heeft deze ‘heldhaftige’ coalitie een vluchtelingenkamp gebombardeerd……. Ach ja, die mensen zijn toch op sterven na dood, ‘dus wat maakt ‘t uit, ja toch..?’
Het
voorgaande is maar één voorbeeld van de schendingen op de
gesloten wapenstilstand, waar de Houthi rebellen zich wel aan wilden
houden, zo bleek o.a. uit het terugtrekken van Houthi troepen uit havenstad
Hodeida, waar zoals eerder opgemerkt, de Saoedische terreurcoalitie zich niet aan wenst te
houden……
Hoe is
het mogelijk dat westerse landen die zogenaamd achter deze
wapenstilstand staan, Saoedi-Arabië niet onmiddellijk aan de paal hebben
genageld voor deze ongebreidelde terreur waar het een wapenstilstand in acht had moeten nemen……. Het is wel duidelijk
dat Saoedi-Arabië zich niet aan de wapenstilstand houdt, daar
westerse regeringen onder aanvoering van de VS alsnog achter
Saoedi-Arabië blijven staan, niet omdat S-A een democratie zou zijn, of dat S-A de mensenrechten in eigen land zou eerbiedigen, dan wel omdat men tegen alle feiten in niet gelooft dat S-A verantwoordelijk is voor de genocide in Jemen, nee het gaat hier puur om economische belangen……

Hoe is het dan mogelijk dat politici en reguliere media in het westen zo hysterisch doen over Venezuela, terwijl de genocide in Jemen hen koud laat, een genocide waarbij dagelijks grote aantallen mensen, waaronder veel kinderen, omkomen (ofwel vermoord in die genocide…)….. Gezien het hypocriete westerse gelul over mensenrechten en genocides, zou je toch echt het tegenovergestelde verwachten…..
Vanmorgen op BNR, de column van Hammelburg, die beweert dat zijn programma ‘De Wereld’, volkomen onafhankelijk en onbevooroordeeld is (ha! ha! ha!). Volgens zijn ‘onbevooroordeelde mening’ is Maduro een schurk en stalinist (waar hij dat laatste vandaan haalt is me al helemaal een raadsel)…… Verder zou Maduro het land economisch aan de grond hebben gebracht…… Tja, je kan van zo’n ‘onbevooroordeelde en onafhankelijke deskundige’ niet verwachten dat hij op de hoogte is van het feit dat de VS Venezuela economisch aan de grond heeft gebracht……

HAJJAH,
YEMEN — At least eight civilians were killed and 30 others
wounded on Sunday when Saudi airstrikes bombed a camp for displaced
people in Yemen’s northwestern Hajjah province, according to
eyewitness statements and medical sources.
Saudi
media outlets reported on Sunday that the Saudi-led coalition
increased its airstrikes on “Houthi gatherings in the Hajjah
governorate.”
Lise
Grande, United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, said in
the wake of the attack:
“The
people who have fled their home to internally displaced person sites
have lost so much already. An attack like this cannot be justified —
ever. Parties to the conflict are obliged to do everything possible
to protect civilians.”
On
Friday, two women and two children also were killed when Saudi
warplanes targeted their home in the village of Amakiyah in the
Mustaba directorate, 1,200 km northwest of Yemen’s capital Sana’a.
In
retaliation for the attacks, Yemen’s armed forces announced that
they struck a gathering of Saudi troops in the Kingdom’s capital
with a high-precision Badr P-1 ballistic missile. The projectile
accurately struck its designated target, leaving an unspecified
number of soldiers either killed or wounded, according to a source in
Yemen’s armed forces.
Hitting
Hodeida and Yemen’s food pipeline
In
Hodeida, the Red Sea Silos, which house 51,000 metric tons of wheat —
almost a quarter of the World Food Programme’s stock — were
struck with mortar shells resulting in a fire that destroyed at least
two of the silos.
The
attack came after the United Nations announced recently that warring
parties in Yemen had agreed to allow international aid agencies to
reach the Red Sea Silos, meaning the attack was likely an attempt to
thwart the efforts of the United Nations to deliver much-needed
food-aid to Yemen, and to continue the coalition’s policy of
starvation.
The
United Nations, responding to the attack on the silos, said “this
is the first time we are seeing conditions like this. We need this
wheat.”
Following
the attack, the United Nations’ food agency demanded access to its
wheat stocks. Stephen Anderson, World Food Programme country
director, said that access is needed to transport what’s left out
of the silos.
The
Red Sea Silos were reopened in 2016 after having undergone
expansions, updates, and development in machinery, equipment, and
daily production capacity — producing the equivalent of 2,000 tons
per day of white flour.
The
UN statement did not identify the source of the shelling. However,
the Houthis accused Saudi-led coalition mercenaries of carrying out
the attack, saying the targeting of the Red Sea Mills, which are the
only mills operating in Yemen and are responsible for feeding
millions, is a form of collective punishment and will have
catastrophic repercussions.
The
UN has already said that a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in dire
need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger.
According to the world body, Yemen is suffering from the most severe
famine in more than 100 years.
Saudi
Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, backed by the United States,
have been using starvation as a weapon against Yemenis in order to
compel them to submit — causing massive suffering of tens of
millions of people and destabilizing the entire region for years, and
possibly decades, to come.
A
crumbling peace process?
Meanwhile,
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthi political wing, Ansar
Allah, met UN Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, who arrived on
Saturday in a bid to shore up a truce reached in Sweden between the
Saudi-led coalition and Houthis last December. Al-Houthi reiterated
his commitment to the Sweden Convention.
Ansar
Allah has already begun to pull out troops from the port of Hodeida,
but Saudi-backed militias are thus far refusing to take a similar
step and withdraw from Hodeida’s Kilo 16 road, an essential
thoroughfare that connects Sana’a with Hodeida and acts as a
conduit for food and aid supplies to 80 percent of Yemen’s
population.
The
warring sides reached a truce agreement in December after days of
talks under the auspices of the UN in Sweden. Hopes were high that
2019 would be better and military operations would slow; however,
Yemen saw a sharp escalation in the first 10 days of this year,
casting a shadow over the viability of the entire peace process.
The
coalition is still operating on the premise that capturing Hodeida
would be an economic and military blow to the Houthis and would
ultimately weaken the Yemeni resistance.

Saoedische terreurcoalitie bestaat uit: Saoedi-Arabië, de VS,
Groot-Brittannië, de Golfstaten, Egypte en Marokko. Waar de VS een
extra grote verantwoordelijkheid draagt, daar dit land dat altijd de
bek vol heeft over het brengen van democratie, waar het tegenovergestelde wordt bereikt (neem nu weer Venezuela…)…. Ook in deze zaak laat de VS zien voor het tegenovergestelde te staan, met haar steun voor de
genocide die deze coalitie van het merendeel dictaturen uitvoert in
Jemen. Daarnaast helpt de VS actief mee aan de zeeblokkade tegen
schepen die de sjiitische bevolking willen voorzien van medische
hulpmiddelen, voedsel, water en brandstof. Voorts doet de VS de coördinatie van de bombardementen op vooral burgerdoelen, met haar
AWACS-vliegtuigen…. Ook zijn VS militairen af en aan te vinden op
Jemenitische bodem, zogenaamd om tegen IS te vechten….. Wellicht
het belangrijkst van al is het feit dat de VS de illegale oorlog die
de Saoedische coalitie uitvoert, o.a. middels een genocide, met één
telefoontje kan stoppen………
** Vergeet voorts niet dat de VS in Venezuela wel degelijk belangen heeft in grondstoffen, niet alleen olie, maar vooral ook coltan, dat van belang is voor de fabricage van smartphones……. Zo opende Venezuela in 2018 de grootste fabriek voor coltan in Latijns-Amerika. Voorts is Venezuela belangrijk voor de afzet van VS levensmiddelen (er zijn een paar VS supermarktketens in Venezuela werkzaam, deze werden al onder Obama onder druk gezet de voorraden niet langer aan te vullen, ofwel dat was het begin van de economische oorlogsvoering van de VS tegen dat land…) en voor de export van VS wapens…..
De coup
die de VS tegen de regering van Maduro in Venezuela al jaren geleden
heeft opgezet, middels een economische oorlogsvoering, bevindt zich
in het laatste stadium……. Althans dat lijkt er zwaar op als je de
gebeurtenissen in Venezuela aan je oog en oor voorbij ziet dan wel
hoort gaan……..
Middels
de economische oorlog van de VS die al vele jaren duurt en waarbij de
VS levensmiddelen winkelketens van VS origine onder druk heeft gezet
hun voorraden in Venezuela niet meer aan te vullen, hetzelfde geldt
voor medicijnen van VS makelij, dan wel de belastingontduikers onder
hen die bijvoorbeeld in Europa een ‘hoofdkantoor’ hebben
(brievenbusfirma’s)……..
Uiteraard
wordt sinds een paar jaar door waarschijnlijk het VS ministerie van buitenlandse en binnenlandse zaken in samenwerking met andere overheidsorganen van de VS, druk op
alle bedrijven uitgeoefend die zaken deden en doen met Venezuela, zo
van: ‘als je hiermee doorgaat kan je op een zwarte lijst belanden,
zodat je elk zakendoen met de VS kan vergeten’ en als dat niet helpt
dreigt de VS gewoon zo’n bedrijf als misdadig af te schilderen,
waarna de leiding zelfs kan worden gearresteerd in een ander land,
zoals onlangs de topvrouw van Huawei is overkomen, waar het wel een
gotspe is dat de Canadese regering aan deze ontvoering heeft
meegeholpen…….. Voorts zullen banken niet graag geld lenen aan dergelijke bedrijven, daar zij anders ook op de zwarte lijst komen….. Zo chanteert de VS terreurentiteit een fiks deel van de wereld, waartegen niemand actie onderneemt, alsof dit een normale gang van zaken is……
De
zoveelste keer dat de VS grote mensenmassa’s op straat heeft weten te
krijgen in Venezuela, waar voorafgaand aan de voorlaatste protesten zelfs
terroristen Venezuela werden binnengesmokkeld, terroristen die tijdens de demonstraties uiterst gewelddadig optraden tegen de politie….. Opvallend
genoeg vonden deze gewelddadige demonstraties plaats in de welgestelde delen van Venezolaanse steden…..
De
nieuwste truc van de CIA: laat een oppositieleider zichzelf uitroepen
tot interim president, inclusief de hele mikmak die erbij hoort, ik
durf te wedden dat dit de VS een enorme bak belastinggeld heeft
gekost, zoals de 4 miljard die Hillary Clinton (onder Obama minister
van BuZa) uittrok voor de opstand en daaropvolgende coup in
Oekraïne……
Niet
vreemd ook dat andere fascistische, of bijna fascistische
Latijns-Amerikaanse staten, in navolging van de VS en Canada, de interim regering van Juan Guaidó
erkenden als officiële regering van Venezuela…….
Overigens heeft Guaidó eerder om ingrijpen van de VS verzocht….*
Gisteren
op Radio1, BNR, WDR en BBC de hele dag ‘sfeerimpressies’ van de
gebeurtenissen in Venezuela, waarbij Maduro werd afgeschilderd als de grote misdadiger, die de
hand heeft in het geweld tegen demonstranten…… Geweld als bij de hiervoor
beschreven demonstraties met ingehuurde psychopaten, waar de reguliere massamedia rapporteerden dat dit geweld van de overheid kwam, terwijl men op de hoogte was van de waarheid….. Geen wonder dat deze media nooit een rectificatie plaatsten, nee men hield stug
vol dat de Venezolaanse politie en leger op elkaar en op demonstranten hadden geschoten, immers naast gedode demonstranten
werden er o.a. politieagenten doodgeschoten en verwond…….
Volgens
een WDR correspondent (kreeg niet mee hoe ze
heet, haar voornaam is Ulla) heeft Maduro het land naar de afgrond
geleid, alsof de hele VS boycot, beter gezegd economische oorlog, niet bestaat, terwijl ze dat toch
echt zou moeten weten……. Ongelofelijk wat men allemaal durft te
spuien, zo sprak deze ‘correspondent’ op straat met ‘een arme
Venezolaan’, die ook achter de coup van Guaidó zou staan…..
Uiteraard
haalt men zulke trucs uit: terwijl Chavez (waarschijnlijk vermoord door of i.o.v. de CIA) en Maduro de enige presidenten zijn die ooit echt
iets voor de armen in Venezuela hebben gedaan……. Dat feit zal niet
snel vergeten worden door de arme bevolking van Venezuela….. De
hoofdmoot van demonstranten zijn dan ook de midden en hogere klasse
in dat Zuid-Amerikaanse land…….
Intussen
staan NAVO-troepen klaar aan de andere kant van de Venezolaanse grens
in Colombia, dat belachelijk genoeg is toegelaten tot deze Noord-Atlantische terreur organisatie (ofwel NATO…)…….. Je kan er donder op
zeggen dat de CIA de boel regisseert, immers deze terroristenbende
heeft al zo vaak met deze bijl gehakt………
Handen
af van Venezuela en bevoorraad dit land met levensmiddelen en
medicijnen!!
Het is te hopen dat Rusland het niet over haar kant
laat gaan en haar poot stijf houdt als de VS terreurcoalitie het
soevereine land Venezuela wil binnenvallen……..

Thread: US Backs anti-Maduro Coup in Venezuela

In
a move that many of us saw coming, the US has backed efforts to force
Nicolas Maduro from the Presidency of Venezuela. Earlier today Donald
Trump officially recognised Juan Guaido, the leader of Venezuela’s
defunct National Assembly as “interim President”.
The citizens of Venezuela have suffered for too long at the hands of the illegitimate Maduro regime. Today, I have officially recognized the President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Juan Guaido, as the Interim President of Venezuela.
This
move was backed by Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador,
Chile and Peru. The EU were also quick to back
regime change,
although leaders of specific EU states are yet to make their
positions know. It is doubtful any of us will be surprised when they
do.
The
noteworthy – and predictable – rebels on American continent were
the leftist governments of Mexico and Bolivia.
This
move has been on the cards for a while, with John Bolton – Trump’s
National Security Advisor – tweeting this just last week:
The National Assembly is the only legitimate, democratically elected government entity in Venezuela, and the U.S. supports its important decisions yesterday. We urge all Venezuelan leaders, including the military, to uphold the rule of law and constitutional order.
This
is very clearly a call for open revolution – note the language:
“including the military”.
Obviously
any coup needs the military backing it to be successful. Though there
are reports of large protests on the streets of Caracas – both for
and against the President – the military have not got involved on
the ground so far. Howver, they did release a statement disavowing
Guaido and
the “dark interests” supporting him.
They
went on to declare that they stand by President Maduro in support of
Venezuela’s national sovereignty.
Lacking,
for now, the support of Venezuela’s own military the only way the
coup can succeed is with military help from a foreign power, the
obvious candidates being the US, NATO and Brazil’s new President
Jair Bolsonaro – a cross between Pinochet and a used car salesman.
He has previously said he would back a military invasion
of Venezuela.
What
the US/NATO/whoever need is

Guardian
reporter Tom Philips then says this:
“If
that happened, the US and the international community would be forced
to react”.
Which
is their way of saying if anyone gets shot, or even injured, in these
protests then the US (and allies?) will move to intervene militarily.
They would be “forced” to, apparently.
Expect
this angle to replayed, a lot, all throughout the mainstream media in
the coming days. Op-eds will remind us of the “cost of inaction”
in Syria. Some people will write that though Trump is a monster, he
is at least elected and we should stand with him in defense of
democracy. Stuff like that.
The
bottom line will be – we NEED to act in Venezuela because Maduro is
“massacring” his own people to hold onto power.
They’ve
tipped their hand with a reference to “sharpshooters” killing
civilians.
This
is, of course, the exact scenario we saw play out in Ukraine in 2014.
“Sharpshooters”
were “turned loose” on the crowd, killing several dozen people
(police and protestors alike). This violence was used to declare
Victor Yanukovych’s government “illegitimate”, and replace him
with a leader more to the US’s liking. Evidence
has since emerged showing
the shots were likely fired by non-government marksmen in a bid to
escalate the violence.
The
same fate awaits Venezuela and Maduro – except Venezuela doesn’t
have a super-power on its borders, so the US won’t have to keep the
gloves on this time. Venezuela could feel the full force of America’s
“humanitarian” armed forces. There are people on the streets –
all it needs is one tiny spark, one slight act of violence, and the
whole situation will explode.
The
US Deep State has shown before that they are more than able to create
a spark when they need one.
Important
questions:
Will
the Venezuelan military continue to stand by Maduro?
Will
there be violence on the streets?
If
so, how long before there are calls for “humanitarian
intervention”?
What
will the position of the European leaders be?
Will
the US try to get a UN mandate to act in Venezuela? Would they be
successful if they did?
Will
“The Resistance” criticise Trump for interfering in Venezuela’s
democracy?

Alsof de VS niet al veel te veel heeft ingegrepen in Latijns-Amerika, waarbij een ongelofelijk aantal mensen is omgekomen, gaat deze verenging van terreurstaten door op het oorlogspad in dat deel van de wereld…….
De inauguratie voor zijn tweede ambtstermijn van de Venezolaanse president Maduro, werd op z’n zachtst gezegd slecht bezocht door westerse staatshoofden dan wel hun vertegenwoordigers. Volgens de westerse landen o.l.v. de VS, is Maduro illegaal president, ook al stelden internationale waarnemers dat de verkiezingen in Venezuela eerlijk en goed waren verlopen…… Tja, als zo’n verklaring niet past in het westerse straatje laat men deze gewoon links liggen (of beter gezegd ‘rechts liggen’)……
Nadat de VS Venezuela naar de rand van faillissement heeft geleid, middels een economische oorlog (om zo ontevredenheid bij het volk te kweken*), is de VS, gezien uitlatingen van oorlogsmisdadigers Pompeo en Bolton, van zins Maduro af te zetten, als het ‘nodig’ is zelfs middels een invasie……
De VS heeft een aantal Latijns-Amerikaanse landen achter zich verzameld, landen die voor een staatsgreep in Venezuela zijn, bijvoorbeeld Brazilië en Colombia….. In dat laatste land, heeft de NAVO intussen 2 militaire bases en Colombia is dan ook als lid toegetreden tot de Noord-Atlantische Verdragsorganisatie……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Niet moeilijk te bedenken, gezien de geografische ligging van die bases (in de buurt van de Venezolaanse grens) dat ook de NAVO zich met die eventuele oorlog zal bemoeien, ofwel met ‘een beetje geluk’ gaat de NAVO met o.a. ons belastinggeld illegaal oorlog voeren in Venezuela……
De Colombiaanse oppositie leider Guaidó heeft intussen al opgeroepen tot buitenlands ingrijpen in ‘zijn’ land, waar hij uiteraard de VS bedoelt als buitenlandse partij, hij deed e.e.a. door ondermeer te zeggen dat hij bereid is het land te leiden……..
De hoop op een vreedzame oplossing van dit, door de VS gefabriceerde probleem, is zo goed als verkeken en mocht de VS inderdaad Venezuela aanvallen, wacht het Venezolaanse volk de dood en zal het land voor een fiks deel vernield worden, zoals de VS dat al zo vaak heeft laten zien….. Echter met één verschil: ook de belastingbetalers van NAVO-lidstaten zullen financieel moeten bloeden voor een volgende illegale oorlog van de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…… (al is ook dat geen uitzondering, zie: Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië…….)

Within just days of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro’s inauguration, the US has declared his presidency illegitimate and is agitating for his removal. Brazil has also refused to recognise Maduro, and Washington’s other Latin American allies have joined in condemning his government. In short, the drums of war are once again thundering in Latin America.
But US-backed military intervention (or, even worse, US military intervention) in Venezuela would be a catastrophe. The US has no legitimate right to intervene; and nor does it seem to have genuine concerns about ordinary Venezuelans.
The drums of war
On 11 January, US national security adviser John Bolton announced that the US will:
“continue to use the full weight of United States economic and diplomatic power to press for the restoration of a Venezuelan democracy that reverses the current constitutional crisis”.
With Washington’s blessing, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó (also president of the country’s national assembly) has been, according to the New York Times, “proposing to take power”. Critical observers might argue that he’s pushing for a military coup. After Venezuelan police briefly detained Guaidó on 13 January, Bolton continued his tirade on Twitter.
Florida senator Marco Rubio, meanwhile, said that the US should recognise Guaidó as Venezuela’s leader:
We denounce the arbitrary detention of #NationalAssembly President @jguaido by Venezuelan Intelligence Chief Manuel Cristopher Figuera. We call on security forces to uphold the constitution and rights of the Venezuelan people. The U.S. and world are watching.
As The Canary has reported previously, Venezuela’s democracy isn’t perfect; but nor is that of the US, the UK, Mexico, or countless other countries. And judging by Washington’s long record of intervention, democracy and human rights are not its true priorities in Venezuela.
US hypocrisy
Within just 24 hours of condemning Venezuela, for example, Pompeo posted three separatetweets about US ally Saudi Arabia. He wrote that he was “grateful for the work you do on an ongoing basis to advance U.S. foreign policy”:
Thank you to the @USAinKSA team for all you did to support my visit, and grateful for the work you do on an ongoing basis to advance U.S. foreign policy.
The hypocrisy is clear.
Because there are fewer than ten absolute monarchies (undemocratic
by nature) in the world, and Saudi Arabia is one of them. With
Washington’s backing, meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is instigating what
the UN has called the “world’s worst humanitarian crisis”
in Yemen. So considering that democracy and human rights are among
the chief public justifications for US interest in Venezuela, support
for Saudi leaves it with no
leg to stand on.
In fact, US sanctions on
Venezuela – which have intensified under
Trump – are actively contributing to the suffering of ordinary
Venezuelans. In the words of The
Empire Files‘
Abby Martin, sanctions are “real attacks that kill real people”.
Supposed US concerns in
Venezuela are therefore unconvincing.
And even if they were sincere, the US would have no greater
legitimacy to intervene within another sovereign nation.
Perhaps Venezuela’s
massive oil
reserves can
better explain why the country’s been in Washington’s
“crosshairs for
decades”.
Don’t
let history repeat itself
Over past decades, the US
has left a bloody trail of destruction in
Latin America and beyond. And as US political leaders seek to
de-legitimise Maduro as a condition for intervention, it seems that
history is repeating itself.
We must recognise US
imperialist strategy when we see it – and condemn it.

InformationClearing House bracht gisteren een artikel over de plannen
van de VS met Latijns-Amerika, van belang nu het er toch op lijkt dat
de VS aanzienlijke troepenverminderingen zal doorvoeren in het
Midden-Oosten.
Thierry
Mason, de schrijver van het artikel gaat uitvoerig in op de bestaande
status quo in Latijns-Amerika, waar bijvoorbeeld Venezuela al tijden
in de schijnwerpers staat. De VS is al jaren bezig met een
economische oorlogsvoering tegen Venezuela, waarbij o.a. de VS
winkelketens voor levensmiddelen al een aantal jaren geleden onder druk
werden gezet door de Obama administratie hun winkels en magazijnen in Venezuela niet langer te
bevoorraden……
Deze
smerige ‘tactiek’ heeft deels gewerkt, de middenstand en de hogere
klasse gooiden de kont tegen de krib en met uiterst gewelddadige
demonstraties probeerde men Maduro tot aftreden te dwingen en zoals
we weten is dit niet gelukt. Men gaf de regering Maduro de schuld van dat geweld, echter uit beelden bleek dat veel demonstranten gewapend waren en op de politie schoten, naar verluid ging het hier om door de VS aangevoerde terroristen…..
Bolton
heeft Venezuela, Cuba* en Nicaragua aangewezen als as van het kwaad in
Latijns-Amerika en heeft gesteld dat de VS daar wil ingrijpen, ofwel er staan weer nieuwe illegale oorlogen van de VS op stapel….. De NAVO heeft in opdracht van haar
bevelhebber, de VS Columbia toegelaten als lid van deze ‘Noord
Atlantische Verdragsorganisatie…..’ (ha! ha! ha! ha!) Intussen schijnt terreurorganisatie NAVO twee
militaire bases te hebben in dat land, dicht op de grens met o.a. Venezuela…….
Voorts
heeft de VS landen als Brazilië in de zak (dat overigens onder
fascist Bolsonaro nauw samenwerkt met terreurstaat Israël). Guyana (eerder Brits-Guiana genoemd) een ander buurland van Venezuela, wordt zoals de voormalige naam al zegt in feite door
Groot-Brittannië gecontroleerd en bestuurd, GB ook al geen vriend van Venezuela, om
het maar zachtjes uit te drukken…….. En dan beste bezoeker is daar…
Nederland dat een dikke vinger in de Antilliaanse pap heeft, waar de
Nederlandse marine in het gebied van de Antilliaanse eilanden (relatief dicht op Venezuela) nauw samenwerkt met de VS, zogenaamd alleen tegen
drugssmokkelaars, echter je hoeft geen universitaire graad te hebben
om te begrijpen dat deze samenwerking veel verder gaat dan het
tegengaan van drugssmokkel…..
Na 13.00 u. vanmiddag kwam WDR nog eens met een aantal leugens over Maduro, dit n.a.v. de inauguratie van Maduro voor zijn tweede termijn als president. Zo werd gesteld dat het grootste deel van de Venezolaanse bevolking tegen Maduro is, dit is een grove leugen, de meerderheid staat wel degelijk achter Maduro, t.w. de grote onderlaag van die bevolking……. Uiteraard werd weer gesteld dat Maduro een desastreus economisch beleid voert, met geen woord werd over de economische oorlog van de VS tegen dat land gesproken, waardoor bijvoorbeeld zelfs medicijnen moeilijk of niet te krijgen zijn, het blokkeren van dergelijke importen is zonder meer een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad……

De VS dient zich eindelijk terug te trekken op eigen grondgebied en het fascisme dat ook in Latijns-Amerika op weg terug is naar de macht, moet de pas afgesneden worden, deze ultrarechtse schoften die al zoveel ellende hebben gebracht over de wereld, moeten worden bestreden, voor ze nog veel meer onheil kunnen aanrichten! Opvallend ook het bericht dat de zoon van de Surinaamse president Bouterse niet werd gearresteerd vanwege drugssmokkel, maar vanwege zijn poging het Libanese Hezbollah te introduceren in Suriname….. Dino Bouterse werd in 2013 ondanks zijn diplomatieke paspoort in Panama (dat onder controle van de VS staat) gearresteerd (!!) en uitgeleverd aan de VS waar hij werd veroordeeld tot 16 jaar cel……
The
Terrible Forthcoming Destruction of the “Caribbean Basin”
President
Trump has announced the withdrawal of US combat troops from the «
Greater Middle East », but the Pentagon is still pursuing the
implementation of the Rumsfeld-Cebrowski plan. This time the aim is
to destroy the States of the “Caribbean Basin “. This is
nothing like the overthrow of pro-Soviet regimes, as in the 1970’s,
but the destruction of all regional State structures, without
consideration for friends or political enemies. Thierry Meyssan
observes the preparations for this new series of wars.

10, 2019 “Information
Clearing House” – In a
series of previous articles, we presented the SouthCom plan to
provoke wars between the Latin-American nations in order to destroy
the structures of all the States in the « Caribbean Basin » [1].
Preparations
for wars of this magnitude, intended to follow on from the conflicts
in the « Greater Middle East » according to the Rumsfeld-Cebrowski
strategy, requires a decade [2].
After
the period of economic destabilisation [3]
and that of military preparation, the actual operation should begin
in the years to come by an attack on Venezuela by Brazil (supported
by Israël), Colombia (an ally of the United States) and Guyana (in
other words, the United Kingdom). It will be followed by others,
beginning with Cuba and Nicaragua (the « troïka of tyranny »
according to John Bolton).
However,
the original plan may be modified, particularly because of the return
of the imperial ambitions of the United Kingdom [4]
which may influence the Pentagon.
This
is where we are now :
The
evolution of Venezuela
Venezuelan
President Hugo Chávez had developed relations with the « Greater
Middle East » on an ideological basis. He had in particular grown
closer to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian President
Bachar el-Assad. Together, they had imagined the possibility of
founding an intergovernmental organisation, the « Free Allies
Movement », on the model of the « Non-Aligned Movement », which
was paralysed by the alignment with the United States, over time, of
certain of its members [5].
Although
Nicolas Maduro adopted the same language as Hugo Chávez, he chose a
very different foreign policy. It is true that he continued the
rapprochement with Russia and, in his turn welcomed Russian bombers
to Venezuela. He signed a contract to import 600,000 tonnes of wheat
in order to deal with starvation in his country. Above all, he
prepared to receive six billion dollars of investments, including
five in the oil sector. Russian engineers took over the posts which
were intended for Venezuelan workers but which they had abandoned.
Nicolas
Maduro reorganised the alliances of his country on new foundations.
He wove close links with Turkey, which is a member of NATO and whose
army presently occupies Northern Syria. Maduro went to Istanbul on
four occasions and Erdoğan went once to Caracas.
Switzerland
was an ally of Hugo Chávez, and had advised him for the composition
of his Constitution. Fearing that he would be unable to refine his
country’s gold in Switzerland, Nicolas Maduro looked to Turkey,
which transformed the raw material into bullion. In the past, this
gold had remained in Swiss banks as a guarantee for oil contracts.
From now on, the liquid assets were transferred to Turkey, while the
newly treated gold returned to Venezuela. This orientation may be
interpreted as being no longer founded on ideology, but on interest.
Everything depends on who benefits.
Simultaneously,
Venezuela became the target of a destabilisation campaign which began
with the guarimbas demonstrations, continued with
the attempted coup d’etat on 12 February 2015 (« Operation Jericho
»), then by a series of attacks on the national currency, and
organised emigration. In this context, Turkey offered Venezuela the
possibility of avoiding US sanctions. The exchanges between the two
countries multiplied fifteen-fold in 2018.
Whatever
the evolution of the Venezuelan régime, nothing can justify what is
being prepared against its population.
Coordination
of logistical means
From
31 July to 12 August 2017, SouthCom organise a vast exercise with
more than 3,000 men from 25 allied states, including France and the
United Kingdom. The goal was to prepare a swift landing for troops in
Venezuela [6].
Colombia
Colombia
is a state, but not a nation. Its population lives geographically
separate according to social class, with enormous differences in the
quality of life. Almost no Colombian has ever spent time in a
neighbourhood attributed to another social class than their own. This
strict separation has made possible the multiplication of
paramilitary forces and consequently armed interior conflicts which
have caused more than 220,000 victims in thirty years.
In
power since August 2018, President Iván Duque has challenged the
fragile peace concluded with the FARC by his predecessor, Juan Manuel
Santos – but not with the ELN. He has not dismissed the option of a
military intervention against Venezuela. According to Nicolas Maduro,
the United States are currently training 734 mercenaries in a
training camp situated in Tona with a view to carrying out a false
flag operation intended to spark a war with Venezuela. Taking into
account the sociological particularity of Colombia, it is impossible
to determine with certainty whether or not the training camp is
controlled by Bogota.
Guyana
In
the 19th century, the colonial powers agreed to a frontier between
British Guyana (presently Guyana) and Dutch Guyana (presently
Surinam). but no text has ever defined the frontier between the
British zone and the Spanish zone (presently Venezuela).
Consequently, Guyana administrates 160,000 km2 of forest which is
still a source of dispute with its larger neighbour. By virtue of the
Geneva agreement of 17 February 1966, the two states deferred to the
Secretary General of the UNO (at that time the Burmese U Thant).
Nothing has changed since then – Guyana has proposed to bring the
case before the UNO** Permanent Court of Arbitration, while Venezuela
prefers direct negotiations.
This
territorial dispute does not seem particularly urgent, because the
contested area is an uninhabited forest which was believed to be
without value – however, it is a huge area which represents two
thirds of Guyana. The Geneva agreement has been violated 15 times by
Guyana, which specifically authorised the exploitation of a gold
mine. Above all, the stakes were raised in 2015 with the discovery by
ExxonMobil of oil deposits in the Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the
territorial waters of the contested zone.
The
population of Guyana is composed of 40 % Indians, 30 % Africans, 20 %
mixed race and 10 % American Indians. The Indians are a strong
presence in the civil services and the Africans in the army.
On
21 December, a vote of no confidence was lodged against the
government of President David Granger, a pro-British, anti-Venezuelan
General, in power since 2015. To everyone’s surprise, a deputy,
Charrandas Persaud, voted against his own party, and in an atmosphere
of indescribable chaos, provoked the fall of the government which had
only a one-vote majority. Since then, the country is in a state of
great instability – we do not know whether President Granger, who is
presently undergoing chemotherapy, will be able to handle current
affairs, while Charrandas Persaud left Parliament with an escort, via
a back door, and has fled to Canada.
On
22 December 2018, in the absence of a government, the Ramform
Tethys (under the flag of the Bahamas) and the Delta
Monarch (Trinidad and Tobago) undertook submarine
explorations in the contested zone on behalf of Exxon-Mobil.
Considering that this intrusion violated the Geneva agreement, the
Venezuelan army chased the two ships away. The Guyanese Minister for
Foreign Affairs, working with current affairs, declared it a hostile
act.
The
United Kingdom Minister for Defense, Gavin Williamson, declared to
the Sunday
Telegraph on
30 December 2018 that the Crown was putting an end to decolonisation,
which had been Whitehall’s doctrine since the Suez affair in 1956.
London is preparing to open a new military base in the Caribbean (for
the moment the UK has bases only in Gibraltar, Cyprus, Diego Garcia
and on the Falkland islands). The new base could be situated on
Montserrat (West Indies), or more probably in Guyana, and should be
operational in 2022 [7].
Guyana
is a neighbour of Surinam (Dutch Guyana). Its President, Desi
Bouterse, is wanted in Europe for drug trafficking – an affair
which pre-dated his election. But his son, Dino, was arrested in
Panama in 2013, despite the fact that he entered that country under a
diplomatic passport. He was extradited to the United States where he
was sentenced to 16 years of prison for drug trafficking – in reality
because he was setting up the Lebanese Hezbollah in Surinam.

Brazil
In
May 2016, Henrique Meirelles, the Minister of Finance for the
transitional government of Libano-Brazilian Michel Temer, nominated
Israelo-Brazilian Ilan Goldfajn as director of the Central Bank.
Mereilles had also presided the Committee for the preparation of the
Olympic Games, calling on Tsahal to coordinate the Brazilian army and
police, thus guaranteeing the security of the Games. Simultaneously
controlling the Central Bank, the army and the police of Brazil,
Israël had no difficulty in supporting the popular movement of
dissatisfaction in the face of the incompetence of the Workers’
Party.
Believing
– without any solid proof – that Presidente Dilma Rousseff had fudged
the public accounts in the context of the Petrobras scandal, the
parliamentarians impeached her in August 2016.
During
the Presidential election of 2018, candidate Jair Bolsonaro went to
Israël to be baptised in the waters of the Jordan, and consequently
obtained a massive percentage of the evangelical vote. He was elected
with General Hamilton Mourão as his Vice-President. During the
period of transition, Mourão declared that Brazil should prepare to
send men to Venezuela as a « peace force » once President Maduro
had been overthrown – comments which constitute a barely-disguised
threat which President Bolsonaro attempted to downplay.
In
an interview on 3 January 2019, on the TV channel SBT, President
Bolsonaro spoke of negotiations with the Pentagon concerning the
possibility of creating a US military base in Brazil. This
declaration raised powerful opposition within the armed forces, for
whom their country is capable of defending itself without assistance.

During
his investiture on 2 January 2019, the new President welcomed Israëli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was the first time that an
Israëli personality of this importance had been to Brazil. On this
occasion, President Bolsonaro announced the coming transfer of the
Brazilian embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
US
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who also went to the investiture,
where he met Peruvian Minister for Foreign Affairs Néstor Popolizio,
announced with President Bolsonaro his intention to fight with him
against the « authoritarian régimes » of Venezuela and Cuba.
Returning to the United States, he stopped over in Bogota to meet
with Colombian President Iván Duque. The two men agreed to work for
the diplomatic isolation of Venezuela. On 4 January 2019, the 14
States of the Lima Group (including Brazil, Colombia and Guyana) met
to agree that Nicolas Maduro’s new mandate, which begins on 10
January, is « illegitimate » [8].
This communiqué has not been signed by Mexico. Apart from this, six
of the member-States lodged a complaint with the International
Criminal Tribunal*** against President Nicolas Maduro for crimes against
humanity. It
is perfectly clear today that the process towards war is under way.
Enormous forces are in play, and there is little that can be done to
stop them now. It is in this context that Russia is studying the
possibility of setting up a permanent aero-naval base in Venezuela.
The island of La Orchila – where President Hugo Chávez was held
prisoner during the coup d’etat of April 2002 – would enable the
storing of strategic bombers. This would constitute a much greater
threat to the United States than the Soviet missiles stationed in
Cuba in 1962.

Op Venezuelanalysis.com werd vorige week woensdag een artikel gepubliceerd
over het tekort aan medische apparatuur en medicijnen, daar deze
zaken of veel te laat of on het geheel niet worden geleverd door de
sancties die de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS Venezuela
heeft opgelegd……
Schande,
de manier waarop de reguliere media en veel zogenaamde Zuid- en
Midden-Amerika deskundigen spreken over Venezuela: de ellende zou aan
het beleid van Maduro liggen, terwijl de VS al jaren geleden begon met
haar sancties tegen Venezuela…… In eerst instantie nog via de
grote supermarkten in Venezuela, veelal in handen van eigenaren in de
VS, die onder zware druk werden gezet door de Obama administratie hun winkels in Venezuela niet
langer te bevoorraden…….
Nu is er
een heel pakket van maatregelen opgetuigd, zo kan Venezuela niet
langer beschikken over haar banktegoeden in Zwitserland, Canada, EU
en Panama….. Bedrijven die handelen met Venezuela kunnen op
maatregelen van wereldpsychopaat VS rekenen….. De VS, het gestolen
land dat onbeschaamd denkt haar wet overal en nergens te kunnen laten
gelden en dat daadwerkelijk probeert af te dwingen in wat niet andere gezien kan worden dan economische oorlogsvoering……. Daarom is het ook van het allerhoogste
belang dat de wereld het SWIFT betalingssysteem laat vallen*, een
systeem dat door de VS wordt misbruikt om landen naar de afgrond te dwingen…..
Het is
onbegrijpelijk dat men de VS keer op keer laat begaan met haar meer
dan schandelijke sancties (ronduit terreur), waardoor eerder al 500.000 kinderen in
Irak om het leven kwamen (dat vond de ‘democratische’
oorlogsmisdadiger en psychopaat Albright de zaak meer dan waard….).
Naast
Venezuela heeft de VS ook Iran sancties opgelegd, terwijl de rest van
de wereld het niet eens is met de VS dat het nucleaire verdrag met
Iran verscheurde….. Ook nu durven leden van de Trump administratie, zoals Pompeo te
stellen dat deze sancties een groot aantal doden zal gaan ‘opleveren’ in
Iran**, maar dat is dan de schuld van de regering in Teheran, ofwel ‘de VS kan haar handen in onschuld wassen’ (maar dan wel in de zwembaden met het bloed van de slachtoffers die de VS zelf heeft vermoord…..)……. De
ongelofelijke kromheid van de redenering die Pompeo zich liet ontvallen, meer dan belachelijk!!

– Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has requested international
assistance from the United Nations (UN) and, in particular, the UN
Development Program (UNDP), to “break” the US-led economic
blockade against the country and help supply vital medical equipment.
His
call came at a gathering of health sector leaders and activists from
the Humanised Childbirth Program in Caracas Tuesday.
“I
ask for support from the UNDP, from the UN system, because as you
know the imperialist government of the United States is persecuting
and blockading us. If I want to buy some essential equipment
somewhere in the world to protect our pregnant women, the US
government persecutes us and impedes or delays [the purchase],” he
stated. “We have a lot of work to do,” he continued.
His
statements come amidst a polarising debate concerning international
intervention in Venezuela. Opposition forces, as well as regional
right wing governments, have been pushing international
organisms to declare a humanitarian crisis in the country as
justification for a direct foreign intervention.
Caracas
has, however, has coincided with UN
experts in denying that
such a crisis exists, and claims that any direct foreign intervention
is cover for regime change efforts.
For
his part, the Maduro government has been open to international
cooperation, previously
requesting UN
medical help, as well as for programs which facilitate the voluntary
return of migrants. Caracas has also hosted international programs
involving foreign specialists, often including Cuban doctors, Russian
economists, or Chinese spacial or telecommunications technicians.
The
economic blockade against Venezuela includes US financial
sanctions,
Swiss, EU, Canadian and Panamanian bank account freezes, trade
embargos, unilateral measures against international trade payments,
and persecution of foreign firms which trade with Venezuela.
Independent
estimates report US
$6 billion of lost oil revenue as a result of sanctions,
whilst government
sources have denounced the
freezing of payments of imported medical supplies such as
anti-malaria or HIV treatments. The vast majority of Venezuela’s
medical supplies and equipment are imported, and thus vulnerable to
blockading policies by foreign agents.
Humanised
Childbirth Program to be expanded
Despite
the difficulties caused by the blockade, the government continues to
attempt to expand social welfare in Venezuela, announcing Tuesday
that the number of local attention centres of the Humanised
Childbirth Programis
due to be amplified from 124 to 1,000 within six months. The number
of professional program ‘promoters’ will also grow from 10,000 to
30,000 in the same time period.
The
program, launched in July 2017, looks to promote natural gestational
and birthing practices as well as provide sexual education and
support to especially young women. It emerged as a result of an
increasing trend in Venezuelan hospitals of doctors forcing pregnant
women to undergo caesarean sections, both as a means of generating
profits in the private clinics, as well as to avoid the extra
workload which could be generated by birthing complications.
At
the Caracas gathering, President Maduro indicated that the Humanised
Childbirth Program is also to be upgraded to ‘social mission’
status.
Venezuela’s
social missions are government run welfare programs. It is expected
that they will be given constitutional status in the new magna carta
currently being drafted by the Constituent Assembly.
Independent
report on women’s rights
The
announcements coincided with the publishing of a comprehensive
and independent report on
female rights in Venezuela, including access to healthcare and sexual
and reproductive rights, by the Entrompe de Falopio (Fallopian
Tubing) collective.
The
report, which indicates that women have suffered disproportionately
from the current economic situation, describes the Humanised
Childbirth Program as “very valuable.”
It
also informs that 20 percent of Venezuelan women under 20 have gone
through a pregnancy, as well as 62 percent of women under 25.
A
day after Maduro requested international assistance from the UNDP,
support also arrived from Venezuela’s anti imperialist ally, Cuba,
who sent
500 more specialist doctors to
the country, Havana based media outlet Granma reports. This latest
instalment brings the total number of Cuban doctors based in
Venezuela to 21,700.
The
doctors, who arrived in planes from the respective Cuban and
Venezuelan state airlines, will strengthen both the leadership and
base work of the Cuban mission in the country, and comes as part of
the health plan approved by Maduro in the recent
congress of health workers.
“As
always, Cuba will strengthen the work of its brigade with an eye to
building a health system envisaged by the commanders of our
revolutions [Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez]. Public healthcare is a
priority and a bastion of the Bolivarian Revolution and we will
defend it side by side with this people,” stated Dr Fernando
Gonzalez, head of the Cuban healthcare mission in Venezuela.
The
new doctors will, he stated, focus on health promotion and illness
prevention and will be spread across the country.
Cuba
has played a leading role in the development of Venezuelan public
healthcare during the Bolivarian Revolution. Both the ‘Barrio
Adentro’ mission, which seeks to bring healthcare to poor and
remote communities, as well as the Jose Gregorio Hernandez mission,
which designs prosthetic limbs for disabled people, include a large
Cuban contingent of doctors who help plan and run the mission.

Ach ja, toen Hitlers NSDAP meedeed aan de verkiezingen, hield men zich ook nog enigszins aan de democratische regels…..
Ook heeft Bolsonaro, aanhanger van de pinkstergemeente, nooit onder kerkstoelen of banken gestoken dat hij de pest heeft aan homo’s, LGBT, abortus en euthanasie…….
Bij deze condoleer ik dan ook een groot deel van het Braziliaanse volk met deze fascistische president, die belooft heeft de misdaad in de favela’s aan te pakken, wat neerkomt op grootschalige moordpartijen, wellicht weer met doodseskaders bestaande uit politie- en legerpersoneel, ofwel velen, waaronder niet eens verdachte mensen, zullen zelfs de eerste ambtstermijn van Bolsonaro niet overleven……
Benieuwd wanneer Bolsonaro de grondwet buiten werking zal stellen en zichzelf als heerser voor het leven zal laten installeren…….
Eén ding is zeker: deze verkiezing zal haar schaduw over de rest van Zuid- en Midden-Amerika werpen het gevaar is dan ook groot dat het fascisme zich als een inktvlek zal verspreiden, te beginnen over Midden-Amerika, waar Honduras al fascistisch wordt geregeerd en in het Zuid-Amerikaanse Argentinië, buurland van Brazilië, is de situatie al niet veel beter……. Voor Venezuela heeft de VS vast en zeker al een kandidaat op het oog, die gegarandeerd een fascist zal zijn, nog even de economische oorlog volhouden, een false flag operatie uitvoeren en de VS kan met de NAVO aan de hand Venezuela aanvallen (de NAVO heeft bases in Colombia, dat is toegetreden tot de NAVO…), waarna Maduro zal worden afgezet…..

Nikki ‘bloody’ Haley heeft afgelopen woensdag de VN Veiligheidsraad voorgehouden dat Nicaragua hetzelfde pad volgt als dat tot de oorlog in
Syrië leidde en de economische ineenstorting veroorzaakte in Venezuela…… ha!
ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! De oorlog in Syrië is tot in de puntjes
voorbereid in Washington….. Al in 2006 werden de eerste plannen
gemaakt die tot deze oorlog hebben geleid…..
Het VS scenario was in deze het organiseren van een opstand, waar dit land samen met Saoedi-Arabië buitenlandse (extreme) jihadisten aanvoerden (o.a. vanuit Libië, dat toen al volledig was vernietigd door de VS en de NAVO), jihadisten die tijdens de demonstraties op het volk schoten, waarvoor de schuld bij het regime Assad werd gelegd. Tot op bepaalde hoogte lukte die
door de VS georganiseerde ‘opstand…..’
Jammer voor de VS, maar ‘de
opstand’ leidde niet tot een staatsgreep in Syrië, daar het overgrote deel van het Syrische volk achter de regering Assad bleef staan, e.e.a bleek nog eens tijdens de verkiezingen in 2014, waar het overgrote deel van het volk dat kon stemmen. Van de 15 miljoen stemgerechtigden brachten 11 miljoen Syriërs een stem uit (kom daar maar ‘s voor in Nederland…), en daaruit bleek dat meer dan 80% achter Assad stond…..* Wel is er sindsdien sprake van oorlog in dat land, een zoveelste illegale oorlog van de VS
tegen een haar onwelgevallig regime, dat van Assad…..
Wat
betreft de economische ‘ineenstorting’ van Venezuela, ook dat is een
product van grootschalige VS terreur, door de grote winkelketens in
het land (in handen van VS ondernemers) niet meer te bevoorraden, na
sterke druk vanuit Washington, ontstonden er grote tekorten aan
voedsel in het land…… De medicijnen die in Latijns Amerika worden gebruikt,
komen voor een groot deel uit de VS, na enige druk vanuit Washington,
zijn er bijna geen medicijnen meer te krijgen in Venezuela……. De
VS overheid en oorlogshoer Haley hebben hier een grote bek over,
terwijl ze het gvd zelf hebben gefikst!!

liet in de VN weten dat de VS wat betreft Nicaragua niet lijdzaam zal
toezien….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Alsof de VS dat nu wel doet, ook
in Nicaragua is de VS bezig met de demonstraties om te zetten in een
opstand, die moet uitmonden in een staatsgreep….. Het welbekende
recept…..
De
VN zou eindelijk in moeten grijpen en de VS tot terreurstaat
verklaren, het aantal moorden dat in naam van dit land en door dit
land worden gepleegd is na WOII tot nu gestegen tot ver boven de 22
miljoen, de hoogste tijd dat de wereld de VS gaat boycotten en de top
van dit land tot ongewenste vreemdelingen verklaart! De VS
is door het Internationaal Gerechtshof (VN) overigens al eens veroordeeld wegens terrorisme, dit
tegen het land… Nicaragua!!! De VN verordende op deze uitspraak dat de VS schadevergoedingen diende te betalen, dat heeft de VS tot op de dag van vandaag niet gedaan……. De VS was indertijd verantwoordelijk voor het aanvallen van olie-installaties en havens, plus het leggen van mijnen voor die havens……. Dus ook toen keek de VS niet lijdzaam toe…….

Security Council on Wednesday that Nicaragua is heading down the path
that led to conflictin
Syria and an economic collapse in Venezuela
“With
each passing day, Nicaragua travels further down a familiar path,”
Haley told a meeting of the UN Security Council on the deteriorating
environment in the Central American country. “It is a path that
Syria has taken. It is a path that Venezuela has taken.”
The
warning took place during the first Security Council meeting called
by Ambassador Haley, the current council president, to address what
the UN says Nicaragua’s government has participated in violent acts
of repression toward students and opposition groups that have led to
over 300 deaths since mid-April.

said Nicaragua’s President Daniel Ortega and Venezuela’s
President Nicolas Maduro “are cut from the same corrupt cloth …
And they are both dictators who live in fear of their own people.”
“The
Syrian exodus has produced millions of refugees, sowing instability
throughout the Middle East and Europe,” Haley said. “The
Venezuelan exodus has become the largest displacement of people in
the history of Latin America. A Nicaraguan exodus would overwhelm its
neighbors and create a surge of migrants and asylum-seekers in
Central America.”
Costa
Rican Ambassador Rodrigo Carazo told the council that his government
received 400 asylum applications from Nicaraguan citizens in the
first quarter, that was before the crisis started. Last month,
Ambassador Carazo said that number inflated to over 4,000. Year to
date, the Costa Rican government has received nearly 13,000 asylum
applications from Nicaraguans, he added.
“The
deepening of the political, social and economic crisis, the
repression, and the failure to respect fundamental freedoms and human
rights shown by the authorities has the potential of an unbridled
worsening of the crisis,” Carazo warned. “And this can have a
direct impact on the stability and the future of development in
Central America.”
According
to Voice
of America (VOA),
human rights groups have reported abuses by law enforcement and
military groups, including temporary detentions, torture, sexual
violence, harassment, and intimidation. Nicaraguan civil society
leader Felix Maradiaga told council members, “Nicaragua has become
a huge prison which seems to be without any controls…every day, we
see a climate of terror and indiscriminate persecution.”
Maradiaga
warned the political crisis was at risk of developing into a
collapse. “Today, there is a time bomb in Nicaragua,” he
said. “Crimes against humanity are creating an atmosphere conducive
to internal conflict that can only grow in size.”
A
special report published last week by the Office of the UN High
Commissioner for Human Rights (UNCHR) documented the four months of social
unrest in the country.
The
human rights office called on the government to stop the arrest of
protesters and disarm the masked groups that have been responsible
for many killings. Then, late last week, the government expelled the
human rights group from the country.
The
Organization of American States (OAS) has also condemned the violence
and urged protestors and government to particpate in a peaceful
dialogue. The OAS has called for 2021 elections to be brought foward
as soon as possible to usher in a new government.
“When
tensions like this are so high, and violence takes place in such a
way in a society that leaves more than 300 people dead, you need to
give the power back to the people to decide,”
OASChief
of Staff Gonzalo Koncke told reporters.
Nicaraguan
Foreign Minister Denis Moncada spoke at the Security Council
Wednesday, explaining to officials his country is “a model” in
the fight against terrorism, organized crime and drug trafficking in
the region, and has a booming economy.
Moncada
criticized the US for its past interventions in Nicaragua in the
1980s and urged Washington to “cease any type of aggression or
intervention,” which leaves us with thought that the Trump
administration could soon be nation-building in Central America.
Meanwhile,
the official Twitter feed of the Russian Mission to the UN
“urges
Washington to abandon the colonial-style attempts to influence the
situation in Nicaragua such as the NICAAct, visa
and other restrictions against Nicaraguan officials, and the
abolition of the “temporary protection status” for migrants from
this country.”
It
seems that Central America is about to become a hot… again.

Trump
heeft vorig jaar meermaals aangedrongen op een militaire invasie van
Venezuela. Veel ophef over dit bericht dat naar buiten werd gebracht
door een hoge ambtenaar. Associated Press (AP) bracht een rapport uit over deze zaak. Onbegrijpelijk dat men hier nog van opkijkt als
je het aantal illegale invasies van de VS ziet sinds 1945…..*
Aan
de andere kant is het goed voor de mensen die de VS nog steeds als de
grote broer zien, de grote broer die ‘optreedt tegen onrecht’ en ‘zich inzet voor de verspreiding van democratie’, immers
zo worden de grootschalige terreuracties van de VS voorgesteld…. Terwijl tijdens het ingrijpen van de VS sinds 1945 tot nu al ruim meer dan
22 miljoen mensen werden vermoord, waar de aangevallen landen voor het overgrote deel in grote chaos achterbleven……..
Wat
betreft Venezuela is het extra wrang, immers de VS voert al jaren een
economische oorlog tegen dat land, waardoor het leven steeds
moeilijker wordt…… ‘Lullig’ voor de VS, maar de
mensen die het hardst worden getroffen door de economische oorlog van de VS, de
grote onderlaag, stemden ook bij de laatste verkiezingen dit jaar massaal
op Maduro!
Wat betreft de sancties: het economische oorlog voeren tegen een land dat niet
blindelings de orders van de VS volgt, moet tot een opstand leiden, een opstand die moet uitmonden in een staatsgreep, dit is een
lang beproefd wapen van de VS, echter niet altijd met het beoogde
succes >> een coup…… Zo mislukte dit in Syrië, vandaar ook dat de VS
bases inricht in Syrië, daar dit land van groot strategisch belang is
voor de VS oliemaffia en terreurstaat Israël…….
De uiterst agressieve NAVO terreurorganisatie heeft intussen een militaire basis in Colombia, in de buurt van de Venezolaanse grens en dat mede op kosten van de belastingbetaler, ook die in Nederland……. Dan durft het geteisem van het kabinet Rutte 3 en een groot deel van de Kamer, keer op keer te zeuren over de te lage inspanningen van Nederland op het gebied van Defensie uh Oorlogsvoering……… (waar men godbetert de peperdure militaire missies in landen waar Nederland niets te zoeken heeft, voor een groot deel betaalt uit andere dan het oorlogsbudget of zoals men dat eufemistisch noemt: het ‘defensiebudget’)
Nu
is de VS naast Venezuela ook bezig met een economische oorlog tegen
Iran…… Vergeet niet dat door de VS sancties tegen Irak, ‘maar liefst’ 500.000 kinderen om het leven zijn gekomen, ofwel vermoord door de VS…… Over deze massamoord door de VS durfde Madelein Albright, destijds VS minister van BuZa en oorlogsmisdadiger, te zeggen dat het offer, dus de dood van een half miljoen kinderen, het doel waard was……. Dat Albright t.z.t. een uiterst langdurige en pijnlijke doodstrijd mag ondergaan (en dan terugdenkt aan de dood van al die kinderen), wat een fascistisch, psychopathisch tyfuswijf!
De hoogste tijd dat een
economische oorlog wordt gezien als een ontoelaatbare inmenging in de

President Donald Trump wanted to know why the U.S. military couldn’t
“just simply invade” the country of Venezuela.

Based
on the account of “a senior administration official familiar with
what was said,” AP reports
that the president’s comments “stunned” those at the meeting,
including U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and national security
adviser H.R. McMaster, both of whom have now left the administration.

In
an exchange that lasted around five minutes, McMaster and others took
turns explaining to Trump how military action could backfire and risk
losing hard-won support among Latin American governments to punish
President Nicolas Maduro for taking Venezuela down the path of
dictatorship, according to the official. The official spoke on the
condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the
discussions.
But
Trump pushed back. Although he gave no indication he was about to
order up military plans, he pointed to what he considered past cases
of successful gunboat diplomacy in the region, according to the
official, like the invasions of Panama and Grenada in the 1980s.
While
some of those around him continued attempts to ignore or dissuade the
president, reportedly Trump could not let the idea go and AP cites
“two high-ranking Colombian officials” who confirmed that he
brought the idea of a military overthrow up with Colombian President
Juan Manuel Santos during a closed-door meeting in August of 2017.

month later, during a dinner with other Latin American leaders on the
sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly meeting in New York, the
reporting says that Trump—despite warnings not to do so—once more
brought up the subject.
“The
U.S. official said Trump was specifically briefed not to raise the
issue and told it wouldn’t play well,” AP reports, “but the
first thing the president said at the dinner was, ‘My staff told me
not to say this.’ Trump then went around asking each leader if they
were sure they didn’t want a military solution, according to the
official, who added that each leader told Trump in clear terms they
were sure. Eventually, McMaster would pull aside the president
and walk him through the dangers of an invasion, the official said.”

heeft deze ‘lolbroek’ alle CIA, NSA leugens en die van de reguliere (massa-) media over Venezuela nog eens overdreven op een rij gezet.
Gelukkig heeft Empire Files van Abby Martin deze anti-Venezolaanse propaganda stap voor stap ontleed en zoals bekend is bij mensen die echt nieuws volgen: de situatie
ziet er heel anders uit dan de meeste mensen denken (wat dan weer
logisch is gezien de algehele anti-Maduro campagne in de hiervoor
aangehaalde media en zoals gebracht door het grootste deel van de westerse
politici, al helemaal door de politici in de VS)……
De schijtlollige John Oliver zou vooral
de intellectuelen bedienen, maar gezien zijn succes in de VS moet de definitie intellectueel drastisch worden bijgesteld (overigens is dat ook in Nederland een dringende noodzaak….).
Zo spreekt Oliver over wanhopige mensen
die dito maatregelen/middelen aanwenden in hun protest….
Echter die wanhopige mensen komen uit het welgestelde deel van de
Venezolaanse bevolking, de arme bevolking die het meest lijdt door de
economische oorlog die de VS voert tegen Venezuela, heeft massaal
gestemd op Maduro!! (ondanks de ellende)
Oliver stelt dat je naar Chavez moet
kijken als je de situatie wilt begrijpen, lullig voor Oliver, maar je moet juist de situatie van vóór Chavez goed
bekijken, neem de kindersterfte, armoede, werkloosheid en
analfabetisme, deze cijfers waren voor Chavez gigantisch hoog, waar het
aantal ouderen dat een pensioen had onder de 400.000 mensen lag….. De genoemde zaken werden uiterst succesvol
aangepakt en voor een groot deel opgelost door Chavez!
