Jason
Ditz plaatste op ANTIWAR een artikel over de wil van Trump een
raketafweersysteem in de ruimte te construeren. Eerder kondigde Trump
al aan (waarschijnlijk nadat hij een marathon van Star War films had
gezien) dat de VS een militair ruimteleger zal opzetten……
Overigens bepaald niet de eerste keer dat men in de VS sprak over een VS raketafweersysteem
in de ruimte: ook de knettergekke president en B-acteur Reagan wilde in de 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw een raketafweersysteem in de ruimte, een plan dat destijds sarcastisch Star Wars werd genoemd……
Verder
hebben zowel Trump als zijn adviseur Bolton aangekondigd dat de VS
uit het INF verdrag zal stappen, met de claim dat Rusland zich niet
aan dit verdrag houdt, terwijl het juist de VS is die met een
‘raketschild’ in Polen en Roemenië de boel verder op scherp
heeft gesteld…… Dat raketschild zou gericht zijn tegen raketten uit
Iran, terwijl dat land bepaald niet bekend staat als land dat overal
en nergens illegale oorlogen begint, zoals de VS dat met hulp van andere NAVO partners pleegt te
doen…..
De
raketten van het raketschild in Polen en Roemenië kunnen in een mum
van tijd van kernkoppen worden voorzien en daarmee als aanvalsraketten
worden ingezet…… Met dat schild heeft de VS dan ook het Intermediate-Range
Nuclear Forces-verdrag
(INF-verdrag) al lang en breed geschonden, immers de raketten van het
raketschild staan op strategische afstand van doelen als Moskou in
Rusland, een afstand die binnen het INF-verdrag als verboden is
gekenmerkt, ofwel raketten die doelen op een afstand van 500 tot
5.500 kilometer kunnen raken……
Het
voorgaande terwijl zoals gezegd de VS het gore lef heeft te stellen dat Rusland
het INF-verdrag schendt…..
Geen
sterk stuk van Ditz, daar hij een aantal zaken is vergeten. Waar hij een
punt heeft is zijn stelling dat de VS duidelijk van zins is om
Rusland vergeldingscapaciteit uit te schakelen, ofwel dat Rusland
bij een nucleaire aanval van de VS plus haar NAVO partners GB en
Frankrijk, geen raketten als vergelding kan lanceren…… Het
voorgaande zal leiden tot een nieuwe wapenrace en deze is zeker niet
in het belang van het volk in de VS, Rusland en de rest van
Europa……
Met een ruimte raketafweersysteem breekt de VS de al zeer fragiele stabiliteit in de wereld verder af, terwijl Trump, Bolton en andere top-oorlogsmisdadigers in de VS, keer op keer schermen met de leugen dat de VS de stabiliteit in de wereld bewaart en bewaakt…….. Hoe verzint men het en dat in een land dat de ene illegale oorlog na de andere begint??!!! De VS houdt zich verder bezig met economische oorlogsvoering en het opzetten van opstanden die tot een staatsgreep moeten leiden……. Ook vermoordt de VS een enorm aantal verdachten (ofwel illegale executies zonder een fatsoenlijke rechtszaak) middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen…… Alsof al deze zaken stabilisatie bevorderend zijn……
Eén ding is zeker: mocht WOIII uitbreken is deze één op één ‘te danken aan’ de grootste terreurentiteit op de wereld, t.w. de VS (en haar oorlogshond de NAVO)…….

Wars’ Returns: US Military to Develop Space-Based Missile Defense
System
(ANTIWAR.COM) — In
what looks to be a highly ambitious and even more highly cost
prohibitive scheme, President Trump has announced his intention to
greatly expand US missile defense systems, with
a major focus on putting them in space.
During
his announcement Thursday at the Pentagon, Trump set out his goals,
saying that he wants “to ensure that we can detect and destroy any
missile launched against the United States – anywhere, anytime,
anyplace.”
The
Pentagon has had space-based interceptors on its wish list for some
time, but between that and drones with lasers on them, they were far
short of the sort of total, planet-wide coverage that President Trump
is talking about.
A
space-centric missile defense system must inevitably draw comparisons
to the Strategic Defense Initiative, commonly called Star Wars, of
the 1980s, a controversial and hugely expensive program that also
sought space-based interceptors.
The
timing of President Trump’s announcement will likely raise eyebrows
on a few fronts, as it comes just a day after the US announced its
intentions to withdraw from the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF)
Treaty with Russia, and just a day before North Korean officials are
to arrive to meet with the secretary of state.
Especially
with respect to Russia, US buildups of missile defense systems have
been met with major suspicion that the US is trying to eliminate
Russia’s deterrent capability, a concern which often leads to
Russian threats of a new arms race. With a treaty having just
collapsed, that’s an even bigger concern this time.
This
also likely is tied to President Trump’s long-standing fondness for
militarizing space, and his attempts to create a Space Force. During
his speech, Trump declared space to be a “new warfighting domain.”
Een ongelofelijk staaltje hypocrisie op radio BBC Scotland vanmorgen: de redactie, inbellers en ‘deskundigen’ hadden het gore lef te stellen dat men ouderen hun stemrecht moet afnemen, dit n.a.v. het Brexit referendum……..
Ofwel er is niet alleen de roep om een tweede Brexit referendum, maar men wenst nu ook een aanpassing van de kieswet, daar veel ouderen voor de Brexit hebben gestemd……
De maffe regering van de belachelijke ‘dancing queen’ (ha! ha! ha!) May* heeft verzuimd om campagne te voeren tegen de Brexit, daar men bang was kiezers te verliezen en er ongelofelijk dom van uitging dat er nooit een meerderheid voor de Brexit zou stemmen……
Nu durft men dus met de beschuldigende vinger naar de ouderen te wijzen, nadat men eerder de Russen de schuld durfde te geven voor de uitslag van het Brexit referendum, een zaak waarvoor men geen enkel bewijs kon vinden, anders dan berichtgeving op de alternatieve media….. (en je weet het: als je niet achter de huidige status quo staat en oorlogsvoering in het Midden-Oosten bekritiseert, ben je een Russische trol….)
De hysterie op het vasteland is overigens ook groot, zonder dat men een bewijs heeft voor de praatjes dat Groot-Brittannië een financieel fiasco te wachten staat met een harde Brexit, blijft men deze voorspelling herhalen……
Buiten de ouderen die men nu de schuld geeft voor de Brexit en men hen het stemrecht het liefst zou ontnemen, is er een roep om de stemgerechtigde leeftijd te verlagen naar 16 jaar…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Als dit zou gebeuren kan je er vrijwel zeker van zijn dat die jongeren zullen stemmen op de partij die hun ouders kiezen en ja die zijn ‘goed geïndoctrineerd’ door de reguliere media die als de meeste westerse politici de huidige inhumane neoliberale status quo door dik en dun verdedigen…… ‘
Bij het voorgaande draait men zelfs de hand niet om het publiek voor te liegen met fake news (nepnieuws) en andere desinformatie……… (overigens ook in Nederland wil men de kiesgerechtigde leeftijd verlagen naar 16 jaar, immers kinderen zijn makkelijk te beïnvloeden en als dat niet via de ouders kan, kunnen de reguliere media en politici deze klus wel even klaren…..)
Het is maar de vraag of de Brexit zo slecht is voor Groot-Brittannië, immers de landen die nu veel handel drijven met GB, landen als Nederland (een jaarlijkse export van 17 miljard euro!!), hebben er geen belang bij om GB af te knijpen, bovendien kan GB nu handelsverdragen sluiten met landen, zonder dat de EU daar iets aan kan doen, bijvoorbeeld met import en export beperkende maatregelen, zoals die op het gebied van de ICT of de landbouw.
* Belachelijk dat May de motie van wantrouwen overleefde, immers een dergelijke zwaar disfunctionerende premier zag GB niet in de laatste decennia…….

PS (mijn excuus, deze PS is wel erg lang, echter belangrijk genoeg om te lezen): veronderstel dat men de komende maanden besluit een tweede referendum te houden in GB, waarna blijkt dat het aantal voorstander van de Brexit alleen maar is gegroeid……… (niet ondenkbaar) Het is overigens een leugen dat alleen nationalisten en fascisten achter de Brexit staan, ook een groot deel van het echt linkse deel van de Britse bevolking is voor een Brexit, niet zo vreemd als je ziet hoe schandalig men is omgegaan met landen als Griekenland, waar de banken onverantwoord veel krediet op de pof hebben geleverd, terwijl elke imbeciel kon weten dat Griekenland niet kredietwaardig was……. Niet de bankiers, niet de corrupte politici worden gepakt, nee de bevolking die niets met deze kredietverlening op de pof te maken had, mag (zelfs letterlijk) bloeden voor de enorme schuld (letterlijk bloeden, daar veel terminale of anderszins ernstig zieke patiënten in Griekenland niet eens therapieën kunnen betalen die hun leven kunnen rekken dan wel redden……) Voor deze enorme schande is de EU verantwoordelijk en wat betreft Nederland zijn o.a. PvdA hufters Dijsselbloem en Timmermans schoften die het Griekse volk hebben uitgenomen en uitnemen, men betaalt in Griekenland intussen zo ongeveer het meest aan belasting in de EU (ook meer dan in Nederland), terwijl de inkomens een fractie zijn van die in ons land……. Griekenland was beter af geweest buiten de EU, echter daar hebben de VS en haar oorlogshond de NAVO een dikke stok voor gestoken, immers Griekenland is van een te groot strategisch belang, waarvoor men dit land overigens nooit eerder beloonde, dan wel financiële steun verleende…… Onder dwang van de EU, de Europese bank (ECB) en het IMF is het Griekse volk tot op het bot uitgekleed….. Ook de ECB draagt schuld voor het ongebreideld verlenen van krediet aan de Grieken, immers deze bank heeft als De Nederlandse Bank de plicht om kredietverleningen, ook aan andere landen, onder het vergrootglas te leggen…… De EU moet als de sodemieter worden teruggebracht tot wat het eerst was, de Europese Economische Gemeenschap (EEG), die prima werkte en met haar poten uit het overgrote deel van de soevereine kwesties bleef….. Bovendien was de EEG enorm veel goedkoper dan het EU circus in Brussel en Straatsburg……

treedt vandaag terug als
opperbevelhebber en dat zal de reden zijn dat hij eindelijk heeft
toegegeven dat Israël inderdaad meerdere terreurgroepen, zelfs IS,
heeft bewapend…….. Israël heeft deze terreurgroepen ook op andere manieren geholpen, zoals het
oplappen van gewonde terroristen op de Golanhoogten (en bij ernstige verwondingen in Israëlische ziekenhuizen…..)……
In feite
geen nieuws daar dit al algemeen bekend was, behalve dan bij de
reguliere massamedia, althans ook bij deze media was e.e.a. bekend,
maar men hield dat gewoon onder de pet, immers terroristen steunen
wordt niet als heel netjes gezien, om het maar voorzichtig uit te
drukken…….
Niet gemeld door Jason Ditz in het hieronder opgenomen artikel zijn de meer dan 1.000 aanvalsvluchten van de Israëlische luchtmacht op doelen in Syrië, zogenaamd allen gericht tegen Iraanse troepen en konvooien, echter Israël heeft ook voor terreurgroepen bombardementsvluchten uitgevoerd, dit nog naast beschietingen op het reguliere Syrische leger vanaf de Golanhoogten, in beide gevallen op verzoek van terreurgroepen als IS, wanneer zij werden belaagd door dit Syrische leger……..
Vanmorgen was op BNR koekwaus Hammelburg met zijn column te horen, Hammelburg je weet wel van het BNR programma ‘De Wereld’ dat volgens hem volkomen onafhankelijk en onbevooroordeeld is, een leugen van enorme proporties! Met veel gelul stelde Hammelburg Iran voor als terreurstaat die de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten in gevaar brengt, althans anders kan je zijn praatje niet uitleggen……
Hammelburg wees wat betreft Israelsiche terreur (uiteraard niet zo door hem genoemd) op de ‘duizenden’ gevechtsvluchten van Israël op Iraanse doelen in Syrië….. De bolle sufferd deed alsof dit de normaalste zaak van de wereld is, zonder te wijzen op ten eerste het aanvliegen op bombardementen door de Israëlische luchtmacht via het Libanese luchtruim, een schending van dit luchtruim en als zodanig een enorme misdaad, waartegen Libanon niets kan uitrichten….. (onbegrijpelijk dat dit feit nooit wordt veroordeeld door westerse regeringen…….) Ten tweede is het bombarderen van doelen door Israël in Syrië een oorlogsmisdaad van formaat……. Echter dit alles is zoals gezegd geheel ‘normaal’, althans als je Hammelburg moet geloven……
Hammelburg zwetste verder met te zeggen dat Assad van de Iraniërs af wil in zijn land, een zaak waarvoor geen enkel bewijs is, integendeel: Assad wil voorlopig niet van Iraanse troepen af, die volgens Hammelburg de bevolking indoctrineren (ha! ha! ha! ha!). Zolang de VS en andere NAVO staten in Syrië de boel onveilig maken, zal Assad Iran niet pressen haar troepen terug te trekken….. Bovendien is de hulp van Iran door Assad zelf ingeroepen en zullen de Iraanse troepen na het verdwijnen van alle buitenlandse terreurgroepen uit Syrië, door Iran zelf worden teruggetrokken, al helemaal gezien de demonstraties de afgelopen jaren in Iran, demonstraties die door de VS werden georganiseerd (dit feit is door de VS zelf toegegeven!)…….
Ach ja, Hammelburg, een neoliberale fantast die op z’n best een trouwe lobbyist is van het militair-industrieel complex, de NAVO en van Israël natuurlijk.

heeft Eisenkot ten overvloede toegegeven dat Israël een terreurstaat
is en dit nadat Israël de natiestaat wet heeft ingevoerd en daarmee
officieel een fascistische apartheidsstaat is………

Army Chief Gadi Eisenkot: Israel Is Arming Syrian Rebels
This
was the first official confirmation from the army chief, but back in
September Israeli media were reporting that Israel has
armed as many as 12 rebel factions.
Those reports were quickly censored by
the Israeli military, however.
The
rebel factions have been confirming such support for awhile as well,
saying they were given large amounts of money and aid as well. Syria
confirmed capturing arms and munitions with Hebrew writing on them
held by the rebels.
By
late 2018, however, Syria was making major gains in this part of the
country, ultimately forcing the Israeli-backed rebels to surrender,
with some negotiating relocation to Idlib.
Eisenkot
insisted the arms were provided to the rebellion purely for
“self-defense.” This is likely an attempt to justify the legality
of this intervention in the Syrian War, in which Israel has long
claimed neutrality.
In
reality, Israel’s claims of neutrality were always only
superficial, with officials having repeatedly expressed a preference
that ISIS or other Islamist rebel groups impose regime change rather
than the Assad government surviving.

Alsof de VS niet al veel te veel heeft ingegrepen in Latijns-Amerika, waarbij een ongelofelijk aantal mensen is omgekomen, gaat deze verenging van terreurstaten door op het oorlogspad in dat deel van de wereld…….
De inauguratie voor zijn tweede ambtstermijn van de Venezolaanse president Maduro, werd op z’n zachtst gezegd slecht bezocht door westerse staatshoofden dan wel hun vertegenwoordigers. Volgens de westerse landen o.l.v. de VS, is Maduro illegaal president, ook al stelden internationale waarnemers dat de verkiezingen in Venezuela eerlijk en goed waren verlopen…… Tja, als zo’n verklaring niet past in het westerse straatje laat men deze gewoon links liggen (of beter gezegd ‘rechts liggen’)……
Nadat de VS Venezuela naar de rand van faillissement heeft geleid, middels een economische oorlog (om zo ontevredenheid bij het volk te kweken*), is de VS, gezien uitlatingen van oorlogsmisdadigers Pompeo en Bolton, van zins Maduro af te zetten, als het ‘nodig’ is zelfs middels een invasie……
De VS heeft een aantal Latijns-Amerikaanse landen achter zich verzameld, landen die voor een staatsgreep in Venezuela zijn, bijvoorbeeld Brazilië en Colombia….. In dat laatste land, heeft de NAVO intussen 2 militaire bases en Colombia is dan ook als lid toegetreden tot de Noord-Atlantische Verdragsorganisatie……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Niet moeilijk te bedenken, gezien de geografische ligging van die bases (in de buurt van de Venezolaanse grens) dat ook de NAVO zich met die eventuele oorlog zal bemoeien, ofwel met ‘een beetje geluk’ gaat de NAVO met o.a. ons belastinggeld illegaal oorlog voeren in Venezuela……
De Colombiaanse oppositie leider Guaidó heeft intussen al opgeroepen tot buitenlands ingrijpen in ‘zijn’ land, waar hij uiteraard de VS bedoelt als buitenlandse partij, hij deed e.e.a. door ondermeer te zeggen dat hij bereid is het land te leiden……..
De hoop op een vreedzame oplossing van dit, door de VS gefabriceerde probleem, is zo goed als verkeken en mocht de VS inderdaad Venezuela aanvallen, wacht het Venezolaanse volk de dood en zal het land voor een fiks deel vernield worden, zoals de VS dat al zo vaak heeft laten zien….. Echter met één verschil: ook de belastingbetalers van NAVO-lidstaten zullen financieel moeten bloeden voor een volgende illegale oorlog van de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde…… (al is ook dat geen uitzondering, zie: Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië…….)

Within just days of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro’s inauguration, the US has declared his presidency illegitimate and is agitating for his removal. Brazil has also refused to recognise Maduro, and Washington’s other Latin American allies have joined in condemning his government. In short, the drums of war are once again thundering in Latin America.
But US-backed military intervention (or, even worse, US military intervention) in Venezuela would be a catastrophe. The US has no legitimate right to intervene; and nor does it seem to have genuine concerns about ordinary Venezuelans.
The drums of war
On 11 January, US national security adviser John Bolton announced that the US will:
“continue to use the full weight of United States economic and diplomatic power to press for the restoration of a Venezuelan democracy that reverses the current constitutional crisis”.
With Washington’s blessing, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó (also president of the country’s national assembly) has been, according to the New York Times, “proposing to take power”. Critical observers might argue that he’s pushing for a military coup. After Venezuelan police briefly detained Guaidó on 13 January, Bolton continued his tirade on Twitter.
Florida senator Marco Rubio, meanwhile, said that the US should recognise Guaidó as Venezuela’s leader:
We denounce the arbitrary detention of #NationalAssembly President @jguaido by Venezuelan Intelligence Chief Manuel Cristopher Figuera. We call on security forces to uphold the constitution and rights of the Venezuelan people. The U.S. and world are watching.
As The Canary has reported previously, Venezuela’s democracy isn’t perfect; but nor is that of the US, the UK, Mexico, or countless other countries. And judging by Washington’s long record of intervention, democracy and human rights are not its true priorities in Venezuela.
US hypocrisy
Within just 24 hours of condemning Venezuela, for example, Pompeo posted three separatetweets about US ally Saudi Arabia. He wrote that he was “grateful for the work you do on an ongoing basis to advance U.S. foreign policy”:
Thank you to the @USAinKSA team for all you did to support my visit, and grateful for the work you do on an ongoing basis to advance U.S. foreign policy.
The hypocrisy is clear.
Because there are fewer than ten absolute monarchies (undemocratic
by nature) in the world, and Saudi Arabia is one of them. With
Washington’s backing, meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is instigating what
the UN has called the “world’s worst humanitarian crisis”
in Yemen. So considering that democracy and human rights are among
the chief public justifications for US interest in Venezuela, support
for Saudi leaves it with no
leg to stand on.
In fact, US sanctions on
Venezuela – which have intensified under
Trump – are actively contributing to the suffering of ordinary
Venezuelans. In the words of The
Empire Files‘
Abby Martin, sanctions are “real attacks that kill real people”.
Supposed US concerns in
Venezuela are therefore unconvincing.
And even if they were sincere, the US would have no greater
legitimacy to intervene within another sovereign nation.
Perhaps Venezuela’s
massive oil
reserves can
better explain why the country’s been in Washington’s
“crosshairs for
decades”.
Don’t
let history repeat itself
Over past decades, the US
has left a bloody trail of destruction in
Latin America and beyond. And as US political leaders seek to
de-legitimise Maduro as a condition for intervention, it seems that
history is repeating itself.
We must recognise US
imperialist strategy when we see it – and condemn it.

Verschillende ambassade medewerkers melden zich vorig jaar ziek en stelden gehoorschade op te hebben gelopen in de VS ambassade in Havana. Deze figuren keerden zelfs terug naar de VS…..
De reguliere westerse media kwamen uiteraard met beschuldigingen dat de Cubaanse overheid de dader van dit ‘vreselijk gebeuren’ was….. Hoorde op BNR zelfs een ‘deskundige’, ene Konijn die aanvankelijk stelde het een ongeloofwaardig verhaal te vinden, maar na enig aandringen plompverloren stelde dat de enige mogelijkheid voor dit gebeuren, handelingen van de Cubaanse overheid moesten zijn….*
Terug naar de berichtgeving van afgelopen week: de terreuraanslag op het ambassade personeel van de VS werd uitgevoerd door…… baltsende krekels…. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Je kan het vergeten dat de reguliere westerse massamediaorganen een rectificatie voor hun beschuldiging aan het adres van Cuba zullen plaatsen, noch zullen Facebook en Twitter de sites van die media blokkeren, geen kans ook dat NewsGuard** hen als onbetrouwbaar zal kwalificeren…….
Van BNR valt al helemaal niets te verwachten, de ‘buitenlanddeskundige’ van dit station, Bernhard Hammelburg had het gore lef een reclame voor zijn programma te maken waarin hij de laatste weken zijn BNR ‘De Wereld’ als volledig onbevooroordeeld, onafhankelijk en objectief noemt………. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Jezus je komt niet meer bij als je ‘m in het spotje hoort zwetsen! Klik voor de gein op het label met zijn naam, direct onder dit bericht***, dan zal je zien hoe onbevooroordeeld en objectief zijn lobbyprogramma werkelijk is, lobby voor het fascistische neoliberalisme, het militair-industrieel complex, de VS, de NAVO en (fascistische) staten als Oekraïne…….. InformationClearing House bracht gisteren een artikel over de plannen
van de VS met Latijns-Amerika, van belang nu het er toch op lijkt dat
de VS aanzienlijke troepenverminderingen zal doorvoeren in het
Midden-Oosten.
Thierry
Mason, de schrijver van het artikel gaat uitvoerig in op de bestaande
status quo in Latijns-Amerika, waar bijvoorbeeld Venezuela al tijden
in de schijnwerpers staat. De VS is al jaren bezig met een
economische oorlogsvoering tegen Venezuela, waarbij o.a. de VS
winkelketens voor levensmiddelen al een aantal jaren geleden onder druk
werden gezet door de Obama administratie hun winkels en magazijnen in Venezuela niet langer te
bevoorraden……
Deze
smerige ‘tactiek’ heeft deels gewerkt, de middenstand en de hogere
klasse gooiden de kont tegen de krib en met uiterst gewelddadige
demonstraties probeerde men Maduro tot aftreden te dwingen en zoals
we weten is dit niet gelukt. Men gaf de regering Maduro de schuld van dat geweld, echter uit beelden bleek dat veel demonstranten gewapend waren en op de politie schoten, naar verluid ging het hier om door de VS aangevoerde terroristen…..
Bolton
heeft Venezuela, Cuba* en Nicaragua aangewezen als as van het kwaad in
Latijns-Amerika en heeft gesteld dat de VS daar wil ingrijpen, ofwel er staan weer nieuwe illegale oorlogen van de VS op stapel….. De NAVO heeft in opdracht van haar
bevelhebber, de VS Columbia toegelaten als lid van deze ‘Noord
Atlantische Verdragsorganisatie…..’ (ha! ha! ha! ha!) Intussen schijnt terreurorganisatie NAVO twee
militaire bases te hebben in dat land, dicht op de grens met o.a. Venezuela…….
Voorts
heeft de VS landen als Brazilië in de zak (dat overigens onder
fascist Bolsonaro nauw samenwerkt met terreurstaat Israël). Guyana (eerder Brits-Guiana genoemd) een ander buurland van Venezuela, wordt zoals de voormalige naam al zegt in feite door
Groot-Brittannië gecontroleerd en bestuurd, GB ook al geen vriend van Venezuela, om
het maar zachtjes uit te drukken…….. En dan beste bezoeker is daar…
Nederland dat een dikke vinger in de Antilliaanse pap heeft, waar de
Nederlandse marine in het gebied van de Antilliaanse eilanden (relatief dicht op Venezuela) nauw samenwerkt met de VS, zogenaamd alleen tegen
drugssmokkelaars, echter je hoeft geen universitaire graad te hebben
om te begrijpen dat deze samenwerking veel verder gaat dan het
tegengaan van drugssmokkel…..
Na 13.00 u. vanmiddag kwam WDR nog eens met een aantal leugens over Maduro, dit n.a.v. de inauguratie van Maduro voor zijn tweede termijn als president. Zo werd gesteld dat het grootste deel van de Venezolaanse bevolking tegen Maduro is, dit is een grove leugen, de meerderheid staat wel degelijk achter Maduro, t.w. de grote onderlaag van die bevolking……. Uiteraard werd weer gesteld dat Maduro een desastreus economisch beleid voert, met geen woord werd over de economische oorlog van de VS tegen dat land gesproken, waardoor bijvoorbeeld zelfs medicijnen moeilijk of niet te krijgen zijn, het blokkeren van dergelijke importen is zonder meer een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad……

De VS dient zich eindelijk terug te trekken op eigen grondgebied en het fascisme dat ook in Latijns-Amerika op weg terug is naar de macht, moet de pas afgesneden worden, deze ultrarechtse schoften die al zoveel ellende hebben gebracht over de wereld, moeten worden bestreden, voor ze nog veel meer onheil kunnen aanrichten! Opvallend ook het bericht dat de zoon van de Surinaamse president Bouterse niet werd gearresteerd vanwege drugssmokkel, maar vanwege zijn poging het Libanese Hezbollah te introduceren in Suriname….. Dino Bouterse werd in 2013 ondanks zijn diplomatieke paspoort in Panama (dat onder controle van de VS staat) gearresteerd (!!) en uitgeleverd aan de VS waar hij werd veroordeeld tot 16 jaar cel……
The
Terrible Forthcoming Destruction of the “Caribbean Basin”
President
Trump has announced the withdrawal of US combat troops from the «
Greater Middle East », but the Pentagon is still pursuing the
implementation of the Rumsfeld-Cebrowski plan. This time the aim is
to destroy the States of the “Caribbean Basin “. This is
nothing like the overthrow of pro-Soviet regimes, as in the 1970’s,
but the destruction of all regional State structures, without
consideration for friends or political enemies. Thierry Meyssan
observes the preparations for this new series of wars.

10, 2019 “Information
Clearing House” – In a
series of previous articles, we presented the SouthCom plan to
provoke wars between the Latin-American nations in order to destroy
the structures of all the States in the « Caribbean Basin » [1].
Preparations
for wars of this magnitude, intended to follow on from the conflicts
in the « Greater Middle East » according to the Rumsfeld-Cebrowski
strategy, requires a decade [2].
After
the period of economic destabilisation [3]
and that of military preparation, the actual operation should begin
in the years to come by an attack on Venezuela by Brazil (supported
by Israël), Colombia (an ally of the United States) and Guyana (in
other words, the United Kingdom). It will be followed by others,
beginning with Cuba and Nicaragua (the « troïka of tyranny »
according to John Bolton).
However,
the original plan may be modified, particularly because of the return
of the imperial ambitions of the United Kingdom [4]
which may influence the Pentagon.
This
is where we are now :
The
evolution of Venezuela
Venezuelan
President Hugo Chávez had developed relations with the « Greater
Middle East » on an ideological basis. He had in particular grown
closer to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian President
Bachar el-Assad. Together, they had imagined the possibility of
founding an intergovernmental organisation, the « Free Allies
Movement », on the model of the « Non-Aligned Movement », which
was paralysed by the alignment with the United States, over time, of
certain of its members [5].
Although
Nicolas Maduro adopted the same language as Hugo Chávez, he chose a
very different foreign policy. It is true that he continued the
rapprochement with Russia and, in his turn welcomed Russian bombers
to Venezuela. He signed a contract to import 600,000 tonnes of wheat
in order to deal with starvation in his country. Above all, he
prepared to receive six billion dollars of investments, including
five in the oil sector. Russian engineers took over the posts which
were intended for Venezuelan workers but which they had abandoned.
Nicolas
Maduro reorganised the alliances of his country on new foundations.
He wove close links with Turkey, which is a member of NATO and whose
army presently occupies Northern Syria. Maduro went to Istanbul on
four occasions and Erdoğan went once to Caracas.
Switzerland
was an ally of Hugo Chávez, and had advised him for the composition
of his Constitution. Fearing that he would be unable to refine his
country’s gold in Switzerland, Nicolas Maduro looked to Turkey,
which transformed the raw material into bullion. In the past, this
gold had remained in Swiss banks as a guarantee for oil contracts.
From now on, the liquid assets were transferred to Turkey, while the
newly treated gold returned to Venezuela. This orientation may be
interpreted as being no longer founded on ideology, but on interest.
Everything depends on who benefits.
Simultaneously,
Venezuela became the target of a destabilisation campaign which began
with the guarimbas demonstrations, continued with
the attempted coup d’etat on 12 February 2015 (« Operation Jericho
»), then by a series of attacks on the national currency, and
organised emigration. In this context, Turkey offered Venezuela the
possibility of avoiding US sanctions. The exchanges between the two
countries multiplied fifteen-fold in 2018.
Whatever
the evolution of the Venezuelan régime, nothing can justify what is
being prepared against its population.
Coordination
of logistical means
From
31 July to 12 August 2017, SouthCom organise a vast exercise with
more than 3,000 men from 25 allied states, including France and the
United Kingdom. The goal was to prepare a swift landing for troops in
Venezuela [6].
Colombia
Colombia
is a state, but not a nation. Its population lives geographically
separate according to social class, with enormous differences in the
quality of life. Almost no Colombian has ever spent time in a
neighbourhood attributed to another social class than their own. This
strict separation has made possible the multiplication of
paramilitary forces and consequently armed interior conflicts which
have caused more than 220,000 victims in thirty years.
In
power since August 2018, President Iván Duque has challenged the
fragile peace concluded with the FARC by his predecessor, Juan Manuel
Santos – but not with the ELN. He has not dismissed the option of a
military intervention against Venezuela. According to Nicolas Maduro,
the United States are currently training 734 mercenaries in a
training camp situated in Tona with a view to carrying out a false
flag operation intended to spark a war with Venezuela. Taking into
account the sociological particularity of Colombia, it is impossible
to determine with certainty whether or not the training camp is
controlled by Bogota.
Guyana
In
the 19th century, the colonial powers agreed to a frontier between
British Guyana (presently Guyana) and Dutch Guyana (presently
Surinam). but no text has ever defined the frontier between the
British zone and the Spanish zone (presently Venezuela).
Consequently, Guyana administrates 160,000 km2 of forest which is
still a source of dispute with its larger neighbour. By virtue of the
Geneva agreement of 17 February 1966, the two states deferred to the
Secretary General of the UNO (at that time the Burmese U Thant).
Nothing has changed since then – Guyana has proposed to bring the
case before the UNO** Permanent Court of Arbitration, while Venezuela
prefers direct negotiations.
This
territorial dispute does not seem particularly urgent, because the
contested area is an uninhabited forest which was believed to be
without value – however, it is a huge area which represents two
thirds of Guyana. The Geneva agreement has been violated 15 times by
Guyana, which specifically authorised the exploitation of a gold
mine. Above all, the stakes were raised in 2015 with the discovery by
ExxonMobil of oil deposits in the Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the
territorial waters of the contested zone.
The
population of Guyana is composed of 40 % Indians, 30 % Africans, 20 %
mixed race and 10 % American Indians. The Indians are a strong
presence in the civil services and the Africans in the army.
On
21 December, a vote of no confidence was lodged against the
government of President David Granger, a pro-British, anti-Venezuelan
General, in power since 2015. To everyone’s surprise, a deputy,
Charrandas Persaud, voted against his own party, and in an atmosphere
of indescribable chaos, provoked the fall of the government which had
only a one-vote majority. Since then, the country is in a state of
great instability – we do not know whether President Granger, who is
presently undergoing chemotherapy, will be able to handle current
affairs, while Charrandas Persaud left Parliament with an escort, via
a back door, and has fled to Canada.
On
22 December 2018, in the absence of a government, the Ramform
Tethys (under the flag of the Bahamas) and the Delta
Monarch (Trinidad and Tobago) undertook submarine
explorations in the contested zone on behalf of Exxon-Mobil.
Considering that this intrusion violated the Geneva agreement, the
Venezuelan army chased the two ships away. The Guyanese Minister for
Foreign Affairs, working with current affairs, declared it a hostile
act.
The
United Kingdom Minister for Defense, Gavin Williamson, declared to
the Sunday
Telegraph on
30 December 2018 that the Crown was putting an end to decolonisation,
which had been Whitehall’s doctrine since the Suez affair in 1956.
London is preparing to open a new military base in the Caribbean (for
the moment the UK has bases only in Gibraltar, Cyprus, Diego Garcia
and on the Falkland islands). The new base could be situated on
Montserrat (West Indies), or more probably in Guyana, and should be
operational in 2022 [7].
Guyana
is a neighbour of Surinam (Dutch Guyana). Its President, Desi
Bouterse, is wanted in Europe for drug trafficking – an affair
which pre-dated his election. But his son, Dino, was arrested in
Panama in 2013, despite the fact that he entered that country under a
diplomatic passport. He was extradited to the United States where he
was sentenced to 16 years of prison for drug trafficking – in reality
because he was setting up the Lebanese Hezbollah in Surinam.

Brazil
In
May 2016, Henrique Meirelles, the Minister of Finance for the
transitional government of Libano-Brazilian Michel Temer, nominated
Israelo-Brazilian Ilan Goldfajn as director of the Central Bank.
Mereilles had also presided the Committee for the preparation of the
Olympic Games, calling on Tsahal to coordinate the Brazilian army and
police, thus guaranteeing the security of the Games. Simultaneously
controlling the Central Bank, the army and the police of Brazil,
Israël had no difficulty in supporting the popular movement of
dissatisfaction in the face of the incompetence of the Workers’
Party.
Believing
– without any solid proof – that Presidente Dilma Rousseff had fudged
the public accounts in the context of the Petrobras scandal, the
parliamentarians impeached her in August 2016.
During
the Presidential election of 2018, candidate Jair Bolsonaro went to
Israël to be baptised in the waters of the Jordan, and consequently
obtained a massive percentage of the evangelical vote. He was elected
with General Hamilton Mourão as his Vice-President. During the
period of transition, Mourão declared that Brazil should prepare to
send men to Venezuela as a « peace force » once President Maduro
had been overthrown – comments which constitute a barely-disguised
threat which President Bolsonaro attempted to downplay.
In
an interview on 3 January 2019, on the TV channel SBT, President
Bolsonaro spoke of negotiations with the Pentagon concerning the
possibility of creating a US military base in Brazil. This
declaration raised powerful opposition within the armed forces, for
whom their country is capable of defending itself without assistance.

During
his investiture on 2 January 2019, the new President welcomed Israëli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was the first time that an
Israëli personality of this importance had been to Brazil. On this
occasion, President Bolsonaro announced the coming transfer of the
Brazilian embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
US
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who also went to the investiture,
where he met Peruvian Minister for Foreign Affairs Néstor Popolizio,
announced with President Bolsonaro his intention to fight with him
against the « authoritarian régimes » of Venezuela and Cuba.
Returning to the United States, he stopped over in Bogota to meet
with Colombian President Iván Duque. The two men agreed to work for
the diplomatic isolation of Venezuela. On 4 January 2019, the 14
States of the Lima Group (including Brazil, Colombia and Guyana) met
to agree that Nicolas Maduro’s new mandate, which begins on 10
January, is « illegitimate » [8].
This communiqué has not been signed by Mexico. Apart from this, six
of the member-States lodged a complaint with the International
Criminal Tribunal*** against President Nicolas Maduro for crimes against
humanity. It
is perfectly clear today that the process towards war is under way.
Enormous forces are in play, and there is little that can be done to
stop them now. It is in this context that Russia is studying the
possibility of setting up a permanent aero-naval base in Venezuela.
The island of La Orchila – where President Hugo Chávez was held
prisoner during the coup d’etat of April 2002 – would enable the
storing of strategic bombers. This would constitute a much greater
threat to the United States than the Soviet missiles stationed in
Cuba in 1962.

ellende voor de vluchtelingen in Libanese opvangkampen is niet meer
te overzien, nadat hun kampementen waren ondergelopen is de boel nu
bevroren door een ijskoude winterstorm…….
Volgens
het hieronder opgenomen artikel zijn er nog steeds meer dan één
miljoen Syrische vluchtelingen in Libanon, waar velen (rond de
miljoen, gezien de cijfers) konden terugkeren naar hun woonplaatsen, die door het
reguliere Syrische leger, Russen en Iraanse troepen werden bevrijd van door het westen gesteunde terreurgroepen (‘gematigde rebellen’)…..
De EU
heeft middels schoften als zijne PvdA kwaadaardigheid Timmermans
gemene zaak gemaakt met het Turkije van de psychopathische
reli-fascist Erdogan…… Met 6 miljard euro aan EU belastinggeld werd de verantwoordelijkheid
voor NB door het westen gecreëerde vluchtelingenstromen
afgekocht…… Waarmee de vluchtelingen het trieste lot in Turkse
provisorische gevangenkampen wachtte (waar zelfs hele gezinnen worden vastgehouden) en waar Turkije nu vluchtelingen
al voor haar grens afschrikt door op hen te
schieten…..
De
situatie in de meeste kampen is desastreus, het ontbreekt er veelal zelfs aan eerste levensbehoeften, kampen in onherbergzame
gebieden, waar advocaten, mensenrechtenorganisaties en andere
hulpverleningsinstanties niet welkom zijn…..* In 2013 gaf de EU
al eens 3 miljard euro aan Turkije om de situatie in de kampen te
verbeteren, het meeste van het geld verdween in de zakken van de
Erdogan kliek…… Verder stuurt Turkije vluchtelingen terug,
rechtstreeks het oorlogsgebied in…..
Middels
deze deal heeft de EU zoals gezegd haar kwade geweten gesust,
vluchtelingen die met de Turkije-deal zouden worden opgenomen door de
EU-lidstaten, wachten daar voor het grootste deel nog steeds op en ook
Nederland laat grotendeels afweten……. ‘Niet vreemd’ dus dat men verder
praktisch niets doet voor vluchtelingen elders, zoals die in Libanon
en Jordanië…..
Nee, sterker nog dan het voorgaande: de EU steunt nog steeds de
agressie van de VS, de verantwoordelijke voor de situatie in Syrië, Irak, Afghanistan en Libië……. Waar de oorlog in Syrië in feite door de VS en een aantal hielenlikkers van terreurorganisatie NAVO, al in 2006 werd voorbereid als opstand, waarna het
volk Assad af zou zetten en de VS een marionet als dictator kon
installeren (althans dat was het mislukte plan)…….. Zoals we nu weten is deze ‘opstand’ (zoals gezegd) uitgemond in
een oorlog, waardoor de vluchtelingenstromen opgang zijn gekomen…….
Vergeet verder niet dat de zogenaamde gematigde terreurgroepen ook nog eens door het westen (o.a. Nederland) zijn gesteund en sommige terreurgroepen zoals IS zelfs mede werden opgezet door de VS en Saoedi-Arabië…….
Lebanon’s
winter storm freezes refugees in flooded camps

Storms
in Lebanon have flooded Syrian refugee camps, ruining tents,
mattresses and food and compounding the misery of people enduring
powerful winter winds and biting cold, Reuters reports.
More
than a million Syrians fled to neighbouring Lebanon since war broke
out at home in 2011, and UN agencies say most live of them live in
poverty.
“There
is almost half a metre of water on the ground and in the tents …
the war in Syria forced us into this situation,” said Hussein
Zeidan who came to Lebanon from Homs in Syria in 2011.
He
lives in a makeshift camp near a river in north Lebanon’s Akkar
region. He and some of its other residents said the storm had left
them and their children with no clothes, furniture or food.
Families
were moving around in search of dryness and warmth.
“Water
flooded us in the camp: me and my children. Our situation is bad …
God bless our neighbours, they welcomed us in yesterday night. Today,
water flooded them so we came here, as you can see, to this
half-built house with no windows or doors,” Ghazwan Zeidan, who has
three children, said in Akkar.
The
UN refugee agency said on Tuesday that the storm had completely
flooded or collapsed 15 informal settlements out of at least 66 that
were “heavily impacted”.
In
the Bekaa valley in east Lebanon, the cold temperatures have also
brought snow.
Abu
Shahid, who fled Hasaka in Syria three years ago with his family,
stood in flooded water in an informal camp in Bar Elias village. He
described how his tent had completely submerged, damaging all his
family’s belongings.
“The
only solution is to leave our things and move, run away with our
lives … Water is everywhere, where do we go?,” he said. The
previous night, he and his wife and two children had slept in a
neighbour’s tent that was less damaged by the floods.
For
19-year-old Hamed Haj Abu and his relatives, the night was cold and
wet.
“We
did not sleep all night. Some were sleeping for an hour, others were
waking up. Water was coming on us, in the tent, from everywhere,”
he said in Bar Elias.
“My
brother and his family first came to us, they are living nearby. We
all did not sleep, we left the tent all together, we can’t sit,
look, water is flooding, we can’t sleep on water.”
* Voor EU politici en hulpverleningsorganisaties heeft Turkije een paar modelkampen ingericht, zodat deze figuren met ‘een gerust geweten’ naar huis kunnen……..
William
M. Arkin, een bekroond journalist van NBC, verlaat deze zender uit
frustratie over het redactionele beleid, waarmee oorlogsvoering uit en te na wordt
verdedigd en waar kritiek op dit oorlogvoeren op z’n zachtst gezegd,
niet wordt geaccepteerd.
Caitlin
Johnstone schreef een artikel over het vertrek van Arkin en de
redenen die hij daarvoor heeft gegeven, zij stelt volkomen terecht
dat deze houding van NBC overal te vinden is in de reguliere
massamedia van de VS. Waar ik aan toe zou willen voegen dat dit voor
de hele westerse reguliere media geldt, waar men middels ‘fake news’ en andere desinformatie de westerse illegale oorlogsvoering in het Midden-Oosten en (Noord-) Afrika verdedigt. Deze houding heeft desastreuze gevolgen…….
Neem
alleen al het zogenaamde vluchtelingenprobleem, een probleem dat door
de VS en haar NAVO partners is veroorzaakt middels het voeren van die illegale
oorlogen, waar dezelfde reguliere massamedia deze illegale oorlogen verdedigen en het
argument dat het westen zelf verantwoordelijk is voor dit ‘vluchtelingenprobleem’, afdoen als kul en
desinformatie, terwijl de bewijzen toch echt overweldigend zijn…… Kortom: deze media gebruiken precies datgene waar ze degenen van beschuldigen die stellen dat deze illegale oorlogen vluchtelingenstromen opgang brengen: het gebruik van nepnieuws en andere desinformatie….
Men
slaat niet voor niets op de vlucht als je ziet dat in de illegale
oorlogen die de VS met hulp van andere NAVO partners (waaronder Nederland) is begonnen, alleen deze eeuw al 2,5 miljoen mensen zijn vermoord en landen als Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië in puin zijn gebombardeerd….. Waarbij de eerste 3 landen in grote chaos verkeren…… Echter het Nederlandse ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken ziet het anders en middels haar falende en valse ambtsberichten stelt dit ministerie dat deze landen veilig zijn voor de vluchtelingen, waar Libië voor BuZa nog een uitzondering is, zelfs het ministerie kan niet met droge ogen beweren dat daar alles pais en vree is……* Wat betreft vluchtelingen ui Libie, die zijn er niet veel ondanks dat dit land onevenredig hard is getroffen door westerse terreur….
In totaal zouden sinds 2011 een aantal van 5.400 Libiërs het land zijn ontvlucht (waaronder een groot aantal Toearegs, die onder Khadaffi deel uitmaakten van het leger en die na hun vlucht in Mali de boel op de kop hebben gezet), voorts zouden er meer dan 300.000 mensen ontheemd zijn in eigen land (lijkt me een veel te laag aantal)……. Te vrezen valt dan ook dat de oorlogsheren in Libië het achtergebleven volk dermate goed weten te controleren, dat vluchten een hachelijke zaak is……. Het voorgaande zegt dan ook voldoende over de vluchtelingen die uit de rest van Afrika komen en die vanaf Libië de oversteek naar Europa wagen, ofwel diezelfde oorlogsheren beheersen zelfs deze vluchtelingstromen……

Quits NBC Citing Network’s Support for Endless War
(CJ Opinion) — A
journalist with NBC has resigned from the network with a statement
which highlights the immense resistance that ostensibly liberal mass
media outlets have to antiwar narratives, skepticism of US military
agendas, and any movement in the opposite direction of endless
military expansionism.
“January
4 is my last day at NBC News and I’d like to say goodbye to my
friends, hopefully not for good,” begins an email titled ‘My
goodbye letter to NBC’ sent to various contacts by William M Arkin,
an award-winning
journalist who
has been associated with the network for 30 years.
“This
isn’t the first time I’ve left NBC, but this time the parting is
more bittersweet, the world and the state of journalism in tandem
crisis,” the email continues. “My expertise, though seeming to be
all the more central to the challenges and dangers we face, also
seems to be less valued at the moment. And I find myself completely
out of synch with the network, being neither a day-to-day reporter
nor interested in the Trump circus.”
The lengthy
email covers
details about Arkin’s relationship with NBC and its staff, his
opinions about the mainstream media’s refusal to adequately
scrutinize and criticize the US war machine’s spectacular failures
in the Middle East, how he “argued endlessly with MSNBC about all
things national security for years”, the fact that his position as
a civilian military analyst was unusual and “peculiar” in a media
environment where that role is normally dominated by “THE GENERALS
and former government officials,” and how he was “one of the few
to report that there weren’t any WMD in Iraq” and remembers
“fondly presenting that conclusion to an incredulous NBC editorial
board.”
“A
scholar at heart, I also found myself an often lone voice that was
anti-nuclear and even anti-military, anti-military for me meaning
opinionated but also highly knowledgeable, somewhat akin to a movie
critic, loving my subject but also not shy about making judgements
regarding the flops and the losers,” he writes.
Arkin
makes clear that NBC is in no way the sole mass media offender in its
refusal to question or criticize the normalization of endless
warfare, but that he feels increasingly “out of sync” and “out
of step” with the network’s unhesitating advancement of military
interventionist narratives. He writes about how Robert Windrem, NBC
News’ chief investigative producer, convinced him to join a new
investigative unit in the early days of the 2016 presidential race.
Arkin writes the following about his experience with the unit:
“I
thought that the mission was to break through the machine of
perpetual war acceptance and conventional wisdom to challenge Hillary
Clinton’s hawkishness. It was also an interesting moment at NBC
because everyone was looking over their shoulder at Vice and other
upstarts creeping up on the mainstream. But then Trump got elected
and Investigations got sucked into the tweeting vortex, increasingly
lost in a directionless adrenaline rush, the national security and
political version of leading the broadcast with every snow storm. And
I would assert that in many ways NBC just began emulating the
national security state itself — busy and profitable. No wars
won but the ball is kept in play.
“I’d
argue that under Trump, the national security establishment not only
hasn’t missed a beat but indeed has gained dangerous strength. Now
it is ever more autonomous and practically impervious to criticism.
I’d also argue, ever so gingerly, that NBC has become somewhat lost
in its own verve, proxies of boring moderation and conventional
wisdom, defender of the government against Trump, cheerleader for
open and subtle threat mongering, in love with procedure and protocol
over all else (including results). I accept that there’s a lot to
report here, but I’m more worried about how much we are missing.
Hence my desire to take a step back and think why so little changes
with regard to America’s wars.”
Arkin
is no fan of Trump, calling him “an ignorant and incompetent
impostor,” but describes his shock at NBC’s reflexive opposition
to the president’s “bumbling intuitions” to get along with
Russia, to denuclearize North Korea, to get out of the Middle East,
and his questioning of the US military’s involvement in Africa.
“I’m
alarmed at how quick NBC is to mechanically argue the contrary, to be
in favor of policies that just spell more conflict and more war.
Really? We shouldn’t get out Syria? We shouldn’t go for the bold
move of denuclearizing the Korean peninsula? Even on Russia, though
we should be concerned about the brittleness of our democracy that it
is so vulnerable to manipulation, do we really yearn for the Cold
War? And don’t even get me started with the FBI: What? We now
lionize this historically destructive institution?”
“There’s
a saying about consultants, that organizations hire them to hear
exactly what they want to hear,” Arkin writes in the conclusion of
his statement. “ I’m proud to say that NBC didn’t do that when
it came to me. Similarly I can say that I’m proud that I’m not
guilty of giving my employers what they wanted. Still, the things
this and most organizations fear most — variability,
disturbance, difference — those things that are also the
primary drivers of creativity — are not really the things that
I see valued in the reporting ranks.”
That’s
about as charitably as it could possibly be said by a skeptical
tongue. Another way to say it would be that plutocrat-controlled and
government-enmeshed media networks hire reporters to protect the
warmongering oligarchic status quo upon which media-controlling
plutocrats have built their respective kingdoms, and foster an
environment which elevates those who promote establishment-friendly
narratives while marginalizing and pressuring anyone who doesn’t.
It’s absolutely bizarre that it should be unusual for there to be a
civilian analyst of the US war machine’s behaviors in the
mainstream media who is skeptical of its failed policies and nonstop
bloodshed, and it’s a crime that such voices are barely holding on
to the fringes of the media stage. Such analysts should be extremely
normal and commonplace, not rare and made to feel as though they
don’t belong.

* De vluchtelingen uit Syrië kunnen intussen geen kant meer op, Turkije wil ze niet, waar militairen en grenswachten zelfs over de grens heen schieten op vluchtelingen…. De bestaande vluchtelingen uit Syrië zitten voor een groot deel vast in Turkse ‘opvangkampen’, mede als gevolg van de tegen het VN Vluchtelingenverdrag ingaande vluchtelingendeal met de EU (en 6 miljard euro aan EU belastinggelden), kampen die niets anders zijn dan gevangenissen… Voor westerse waarnemers en politici die deze vluchtelingen bezoeken, heeft Turkije een paar modelkampen……
Voor 13.00 u. (CET) op BBC Scotland (radio) een ‘discussie’ over een nieuwe ronselcampagne van het Britse leger. De campagne wordt ‘Snow Flakes’ genoemd.
Men schijnt in die campagne de kinderen te vertellen dat ze moeten stoppen met het op de bank hangen en zich moeten aanmelden voor het Britse leger……..
Niet één inbeller die stelde dat het een godvergeten schandaal is dat men kinderen wil lokken voor de oorlog….. Nee, er werd alleen commentaar geleverd op de manier van reclame maken voor het leger…. De presentator stelde zelfs dat een campagne uit de 80er jaren meer op de plaats zou zijn: Ga bij het leger en zie de wereld……. Ja de wereld van oorlog op plekken waar het agressieve westen niets te zoeken heeft……
Eenzelfde campagne werd destijds in Nederland gevoerd, waarop deze in de maling werd genomen door mensen die o.a. de volgende tekst gebruikten: ‘Kom bij de para’s, reis naar verre landen, ontmoet vreemde volkeren, leer er fijne mensen kennen en schiet ze neer……’ (er zijn meerdere variaties op deze tekst)
Nogmaals het is een schandaal dat men kindsoldaten ronselt, hoewel het dan ook bijzonder moeilijk is om oudere mensen te vinden die zo gek zijn dat ze zich in illegale oorlogen willen storten…… Op het voorgaande komt dan vaak het verweer dat je ook militairen hebt, die door de VN als blauwhelmen ingezet kunnen worden. Lullig genoeg zijn deze ‘vredesmissies’ veelal het gevolg van eerdere westerse agressie, of de erfenis van westerse verdeling van oude koloniale gebieden, gebieden die alleen gepacificeerd kunnen worden door nieuwe grenzen te trekken, waarbij men rekening houdt met oude stamverbanden….. Echter daar zijn westerse bedrijven, zoals wapenfabrikanten, oliemaatschappijen en landbouwbedrijven totaal niet voor te porren, immers tweedracht voedt de winsten en corruptie, waardoor westerse bedrijven goedkope arbeiders kunnen vinden en zich niet aan de ‘strenge milieuregels’ hoeven te houden, ‘strenge regels’ zoals die in het westen gelden…..
Kinderen horen niet thuis in oorlogen, het is dan ook niet vreemd dat een groot aantal militairen na hun ‘militaire loopbaan’ (althans als ze niet zijn omgekomen) met een posttraumatische stressstoornis blijven zitten, mensen die voor hun leven een trauma hebben opgelopen……..
Tot slot: ook de Nederlandse ronselcampagnes zijn walgelijk, met op kinderen gerichte stoere reclames probeert men dezen te lokken voor het leger……
De
NAVO is het grootste militaire verbond op onze kleine aarde, een
verbond dat verreweg het meest uitgeeft aan oorlogvoering, t.w.
ongeveer driekwart van de wereldwijde totale jaarlijkse uitgaven aan
oorlogstuig…. Bovendien is de NAVO een verbond dat de beschikking heeft over de
grootste voorraad aan kernwapens…… En dan durft men keer op keer te klagen dat we te weinig uitgeven aan ‘defensie’, terwijl de NAVO-partners meer dan het zevenvoudige uitgeven aan oorlogsvoering (want daar komt het op neer), dan Rusland en China samen uitgeven aan defensie……. Zonder de VS geven GB, Duitsland, Frankrijk en Italië al bijna 4 keer meer uit aan oorlogstuig dan Rusland….
Ondanks
dit alles durft de NAVO te stellen dat het de vrede bewaart, terwijl het
aantoonbaar internationale wetten overtreedt, waarbij het
grootschalige terreur uitoefende en uitoefent…… Hier wat
voorbeelden van landen waar die terreur werd en wordt
uitgeoefend: een aantal staten van voormalig Joegoslavië,
Afghanistan, Pakistan en Libië. In het hieronder opgenomen artikel
van World BEYOND War (WBW) stopt de opsomming bij Libië, echter
de redactie is waarschijnlijk vergeten dat de VS (de heer en meester van de NAVO) ook in Irak een illegale oorlog begon,
de oorlog die de VS in 2003 begon en waar meerdere NAVO partners aan deel hebben genomen (inclusief Nederland, dat zelfs aan de voorbereiding meewerkte…)…..
Hetzelfde
geldt voor Syrië, waar de VS al vanaf 2006 bezig is geweest met de
planning van een opstand, die moest eindigen met het afzetten van
Assad, iets dat zoals we weten niet is gelukt…… Daarover
gesproken: hetzelfde heeft de VS in Oekraïne gedaan, echter daar is
de opzet wel geslaagd en werd de democratisch gekozen regering
Janoekovytsj afgezet, waarna de VS daar de Porosjenko neonazi-junta installeerde, een junta die zich tegen een groot deel van de
bevolking heeft gekeerd en zelfs een oorlog begon tegen bewoners in
het oosten van dat land, dit daar die bevolking het terecht niet eens
was met het afzetten van de door haar democratisch gekozen regering en weigerde de
neonazi-junta te accepteren als haar nieuwe ‘legitieme’ regering…….
Voor
de coup in Oekraïne was de Obama administratie verantwoordelijk, waar
Hillary Clinton, destijds de minister van BuZa, de boel samen met de CIA organiseerde
en waar ze het geheel financierde met 4 miljard dollar aan VS belastinggeld…..
Ondanks
dat de NAVO was bedoeld voor het Noord-Atlantische gebied, voert het
oorlog op plekken die daar bijzonder ver van zijn verwijderd, het is
nu al zo zot dat de NAVO zelfs 2 bases heeft in Colombia……..
Weg
met terreurorganisatie NAVO, die allesbehalve voor vrede zorgt,
integendeel: i.p.v. vrede te waarborgen, creëren de NAVO en haar
echte baas in Washington, terreur op de straten van Europa…….
Moet je nagaan, het voorgaande ondanks dat de NAVO-lidstaten, onder aanvoering van de VS, zogenaamd oorlog voeren tegen terreur……
In

Jammer dat men bij W.B.W. niet meer nadruk heeft gelegd op het feit
dat de NAVO onder opperbevel staat van de grootste terreurentiteit op
aarde, de VS…… Mooi dat de redactie wel aandacht schonk aan de
woorden van Martin Luther King (MLK), woorden tegen oorlogsvoering, uitgesproken op 4 april 1967. MLK was o.a. zeer gekant tegen de oorlogsvoering van de VS, zoals destijds in Vietnam, waar de VS alles
bij elkaar, dus niet alleen in Vietnam maar ook in aangrenzende
landen, miljoenen slachtoffers heeft gemaakt…..

events everywhere.

a celebration
of victory.
And we will follow NATO anywhere
it tries to hide.

The

The notion that supporting NATO is a way to cooperate with the world
ignores superior
non-dealdy ways to cooperate with the world.
The
Case Against NATO:
Our
Message: War
is a leading contributor to the growing global refugee and climate
crises, the basis for the militarization of the police, a top cause
of the erosion of civil liberties, and a catalyst for racism and
bigotry. We’re calling for the abolition of NATO, the promotion of
peace, the redirection of resources to human and environmental needs,
and the demilitarization of our cultures. Instead of celebrating
NATO’s 70th anniversary, we’re celebrating peace on April 4,
in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech against war on
April 4, 1967, as well as his assassination on April 4, 1968.
While
Donald Trump once blurted out the obvious: that NATO is obsolete, he
subsequently professed his commitment to NATO and began pressuring
NATO members to buy more weapons. So, the notion that somehow NATO is
anti-Trump and therefore good would not only be silly and practically
amoral on its own terms, it is also at odds with the facts of Trump’s
behavior. We are planning an anti-NATO / pro-peace action at which
opposition to the militarism of NATO’s dominant member is welcome
and necessary.
NATO
has pushed the weaponry and the hostility and the massive so-called
war games right up to the border of Russia. NATO has waged aggressive
wars far from the North Atlantic. NATO has added a pertnership with
Colombia, abandoning all pretense of its purpose being in the North
Atlantic. NATO is used to free the U.S. Congress from the
responsibility and the right to oversee the atrocities of U.S. wars.
NATO is used as cover by NATO member governments to join U.S. wars
under the pretense that they are somehow more legal or acceptable.
NATO is used as cover to illegally and recklessly share nuclear
weapons with supposedly non-nuclear nations. NATO is used to assign
nations the responsibility to go to war if other nations go to war,
and therefore to be prepared for war. NATO’s militarism threatens
the earth’s environment. NATO’s wars fuel racism and bigotry and
erode our civil liberties while draining our wealth.
We
must say: No to NATO, Yes to peace, Yes to prosperity, Yes to a
sustainable environment, Yes to civil liberties, Yes to education,
Yes to a culture of nonviolence and kindness and decency, Yes to
remembering April 4th as a day associated with the work for peace of
Martin Luther King Jr.
