De Telegraaf is al decennia op ramkoers met Rusland, maar afgelopen vrijdag zetten de oorlogshitsers van dit lobbyorgaan voor de VS, de NAVO en het militair-industrieel complex een extra stap in haar haat- en angstzaaicampagne tegen resp. voor Rusland.
Men stelde dat de partners van F-16 piloten, die in 2017 het luchtruim van de Baltische staten bewaakten*, thuis werden lastiggevallen door mensen met een ‘Russisch accent…..’ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Een Slavisch accent bedoelen de Telegrof oorlogshitsers, maar ja dat klinkt een stuk minder sensationeel, bovendien zouden het dan ook nog eens false flag operaties kunnen zijn, bijvoorbeeld in opdracht van de VS of Oekraïne, die beiden continu bezig zijn met het demoniseren van Rusland….. In de telefoontjes werd ‘het thuisfront’ voorgehouden dat de missie waar hun partners aan deelnamen niet zo verstandig was……
Uitermate vreemd dat dit pas meer dan een jaar later bekend wordt gemaakt, waar de MIVD dit verhaal niet wil bevestigen, anders dan te stellen dat dit wel vaker gebeurt……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Blijkbaar mogen militairen in zogenaamd oorlogsgebied met de smartphone naar huis bellen, waar de ‘vijand’ de gebruikte smartphone kan hacken en zo het ‘thuisfront’ kan bellen….. Let wel: waar de MIVD dit weet en er blijkbaar niets tegen doet….. Hoe ongeloofwaardig wil en kan je een flutverhaal publiceren..??!!!
Het zal me niet verbazen als de MIVD dit bericht zelf anoniem heeft gelekt naar de Telegraaf, immers je kan Rusland nooit genoeg demoniseren en liegen over zaken kunnen de geheime diensten als geen ander…… (hoewel de reguliere media er ook weinig moeite mee hebben, zie de leugens en stemmingmakerij voorafgaand en tijdens de illegale oorlogen die de VS met de NAVO aan de hand, voerde tegen Afghanistan Irak, Libië en Syrië…. (en wat betreft Afghanistan, Irak en Syrië nog steeds voert)
* Die F-16 missie was vooral bedoeld om de Russen te tarten met voortdurende oefeningen langs het Russische luchtruim, waar men niet zelden even het Russische luchtruim invloog om de reactie van de Russen te testen……. Deze missie was ingegeven door de gigantische leugen dat Rusland De Krim was binnengevallen, terwijl het volk van Oekraïne, inclusief de oorspronkelijke bevolking, in een referendum massaal kozen voor aansluiting bij Rusland. Een referendum dat door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk en goed verlopen werd beoordeeld…… Niet vreemd dat men zich op De Krim wilde aansluiten bij Rusland als je bedenkt dat de door hen democratisch gekozen president Janoekovytsj, in een door de VS georganiseerde opstand werd verjaagd en vervangen door de zwaar corrupte neonazi en VS marionet Porosjenko……. Hillary Clinton, destijds minister van BuZa onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama, gaf voor deze machinaties maar liefst 4 miljard dollar uit….. Die zogenaamde annexatie door Rusland blijft men keihard volhouden ondanks het bewijs van het tegendeel…. Bijna dagelijks herhalen de reguliere westerse media deze smerige leugen, vanmorgen nog op BBC World Service, n.a.v. een bezoek van Putin aan De Krim……. (deze leugens zijn overigens ook te horen en te zien in/op Nederlandse media, waaronder totaal afhankelijke mediaorganen als de NOS, de Telegraaf en de NRC) Het kan je bijna niet ontgaan zijn dat ook het grootste deel van de westerse politici deze leugen blijven herhalen……..
De kop op dit bericht is enigszins krom, daar er in de VS al veel langer jacht wordt gemaakt op vluchtelingen; daarover zo meer.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ofwel ICE is in de VS al een paar weken bezig met wat niet anders dan als razzia’s kan worden aangeduid….. Buurten waar veel ‘illegale vluchtelingen’, of zoals men hen daar noemt: ‘illegale immigranten’ wonen, worden opgeschrikt door razzia’s waarbij grote aantallen ambtenaren van ICE mensen controleren of ze niet toevallig ‘illegaal’ in de VS zijn….. (men spreekt over de inzet van honderden ambtenaren…)
Ook scholen en schoolbussen worden bezocht door deze ambtenaren en gelukkig hebben een aantal van die scholen een protocol voor het geval ICE hun scholen overvalt, een protocol waarmee ‘bepaalde’ leerlingen worden gewaarschuwd zich uit de voeten te maken…… Kinderen leven in angst, een angst die bepaalde kinderen eerder in Europa hadden als de nazi’s razzia’s doorvoerden…….
Overigens was Bill Clinton de eerste die een streng ‘anti-immigratie beleid’ doorvoerde, waarbij veel vluchtelingen werden gedeporteerd….. Obama en zijn minister van BuZa Hillary Clinton waren voor het bouwen van een grote afscheiding op de grens met Mexico……. Ook werden onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama voor het eerst hele gezinnen gevangengezet en werden kinderen gescheiden van hun ouders……..
Een paar zaken die duidelijk maken dat de VS fascistisch wordt geregeerd: -razzia’s, -illegaal oorlogvoeren, -opstanden en coups organiseren, -het vermoorden van verdachten middels drones en geheime militaire acties, -het sturen van verkiezingen buiten de VS, -een illegale gevangenis gebruiken waar verdachten zelfs al bijna 20 jaar worden vastgehouden (Guantanamo Bay) en dit nog naast de vele geheime CIA sites over de wereld waar gemarteld wordt, -false flag operaties gebruiken als excuus voor militaire agressie (of voor ‘onterechte wraak actie’), -etnisch profileren en -gekleurde burgers harder straffen dan witte burgers ofwel discriminatie ‘op hoog niveau…..’ En dan sprak ik niet eens over het smerige seksisme en het zwaar racistische gehalte van de huidige VS president, het beest Trump…..
Onbegrijpelijk dat de reguliere westerse media amper of geen belangstelling hebben voor de fascismisering van de VS, terwijl de voorbeelden voor het oprapen liggen, nee samen met de respectievelijke westerse regeringen likt men liever de vieze reet van Trump……

10 jaar
na de door Hillary Clinton en de CIA opgezette bloedige coup (28 juni 2009) is
het intussen al meer dan 60 dagen onrustig in het land, dit als
reactie op het plan om ook op gezondheidszorg en onderwijs te
bezuinigen….. Middels massaal verzet, ook van de beroepskrachten,
is deze bezuiniging van de baan, maar het verzet blijft doorgaan daar de ellende groot is onder het gewone volk, ook
al is er gevaar voor arrestatie waarbij mensen in op VS leest
gebouwde extra beveiligde gevangenissen worden opgesloten……
De internationale neoliberale uitzuigorganisatie IMF heeft een akkoord bereikt met de
regering van Honduras over privatisering van staatsbedrijven, het
programma dat hiervoor wordt gevolgd is door sommigen als ‘neoliberalisme op steroïden’ weggezet….
De vrouw
van een criticaster van dat programma vertelt dat haar man in de
gevangenis zit, NB betaald middels de Hondurese veiligheidsbelasting,
een belastingsturing die werd gesteund door de regisseur van de coup in 2009, hare
kwaadaardigheid Hillary Clinton, destijds minister van BuZa onder
Obama, waarbij de politie en leger, plus de geheime diensten
kapitalen extra kregen, terwijl de rest van de departementen in feite
moesten bezuinigen, of rond zien te komen van een veel te laag
budget….. De gevangenis waarin de bewuste man vastzit en die op VS leest
is gebouwd, werd betaald uit die veiligheidsbelasting…….
Het
neoliberalisme heeft ervoor gezorgd dat een groot aantal mensen in
diepe armoede is beland, niet voor niets dat velen het land
uitvluchten, als ze dat al niet uit angst voor overheid en
doodseskaders hebben gedaan………

gezondheidszorg zijn een groot aantal studenten neergeschoten, als gevolg daarvan is een aantal van hen overleden……
In het hierna volgende artikel spreekt de schrijver over de neoliberale agenda van ‘president’ Hernandez (JOH), die illegaal een tweede termijn dient met steun van de VS, echter gezien het verhaal kan je niet anders concluderen dan dat we hier met een fascistisch beleid te maken hebben……

EGUCIGALPA,
HONDURAS — MintPress News went to Honduras and
spoke with a number of leaders of the Honduran resistance amid a
66-day uprising over a neoliberal austerity deal reached between the
government as the country marked the 10-year anniversary of the
U.S.-backed coup d’etat.
Last
Thursday, the Honduran government passed a privatization law, the
run-up to which had triggered uprisings challenging the mandate of
President Juan Orlando Hernandez and protesting the implementation of
a privatization deal reached with the International Monetary Fund
(IMF) — a deal kept secret until this week. The battle against it
was fought tooth and nail, with average Hondurans following the lead
of healthcare and education activists.
MintPress has
obtained a copy of the law. The document details the government’s
plan to sever 6 billion lempiras ($242 million USD), and includes
instituting a maximum wage on public sector contract “technical and
professional” workers amounting to $2,426 a month, but promises not
to cut healthcare and education. An agreement with the IMF over the
state-run electrical company remains in question.
What
is known is that the deal consists of more of the same neoliberal
remedies that have already devastated Honduran civil society. One
person interviewed by MintPress called the approach
“neoliberalism on steroids.” And she would know: her husband is a
political prisoner sitting in a U.S.-designed maximum security
facility. The prison was paid for under the Honduran Security Tax, a
program backed by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that
bankrolls the military and police while the rest of the government is
gutted.

Adrienne
Pine, a Professor of Anthropology at American University in
Washington and expert on Honduras, told MintPress:
“The
fact that education and healthcare were left out is a pretty big win
for the movement because that is what they were planning to cut, and
the healthcare and education workers who have led this struggle
against this have prevented those cuts even though there has been
this very radical reduction in public spending.”
On
May 6, the IMF announced it
had reached a “staff level agreement” that was believed to be
targeted towards healthcare, education and more. That same day,
protests started breaking out.
But
as news emerged on Tuesday of the deal becoming law, the IMF also
announced its approval of a plan to restructure the public electric
company and said it would give the Honduran government $311 million
in loans over the next two years. Around the same time, a fresh
corruption scandal was unfolding at the electric company. Professor
Pine explained to MintPress:
“ENEE
[the Honduran public electric company] has already been subject to
privatization measures over the past few years that have
significantly weakened it. Problems in the ENEE have to do, at their
root, with the privatization itself, but right now it looks like the
IMF and the U.S. are justifying the privatization by using examples
of corruption at the agency rather than addressing the underlying
structural issues.”

The
resistance in Honduras fought off further privatization of health
care and education in a struggle that left piles of students shot and
scores of people killed, as well as resulting in the political
imprisonment of a young man who is accused of fueling a fire
at the U.S. Embassy in the capital.
Romel Valdemar Herrera Portillo, 23, sits in a military-run prison,
designed by the United States, called La Tova alongside political
prisoners Edwin Espinal and Raúl Álvarez.
In

Ten
years of resistance
The
history of the past decade in Honduras is among the most telling
examples of U.S.-backed regime change in the Western Hemisphere. A
powder keg for the migrant crisis that popped up under Barack Obama
and worsened under Donald Trump, the military operation that deposed
leftist reformer Manuel Zelaya from the presidency informs Honduran
life at every level today.

News traveled to Honduras around the 10-year anniversary of
the coup d’etat, speaking to a range of leaders of the resistance
against the National Party, which has dominated politics in the
country since the coup. The National Party is led by President Juan
Orlando Hernandez (JOH), a widely reviled neoliberal leader believed
to be involved in drug trafficking, electoral fraud and death
squads.
The
post-coup neoliberal policies ramped up under JOH’s reign have
rendered Honduras a playground for the business elite and drug
cartels and brought the poverty rate to levels unrivaled in the
region. Disappearances and lethal violence from police, private
mercenaries and drug cartels have also skyrocketed.

Revelations
that JOH has been under investigation by the Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) since 2013, according to U.S. federal court
documents released this year, came as little surprise to many in the
resistance; JOH’s brother is himself in prison in the U.S. on drug
trafficking charges. But it did pour salt on fresh wounds, as the
United States backed JOH’s re-election in 2017, even though the
Honduran constitution explicitly forbids second terms.
While
in Honduras, MintPress examined
the effects of the coup from multiple angles, including: cuts to
education; repression against students and teachers; cuts to the
healthcare sector; the political development of Hondurans; electoral
fraud; death squads linked to big business; the conditions of
political prisoners and the plight of human rights workers; and the
effects of neoliberalism on the healthcare sector.MintPress also

nearly a week in the capital, Tegucigalpa, a city that is both
militarized and yet ruled by crime at night, a dynamic that makes the
often cozy relationship between the state and organized crime
palpable throughout much of the city. The prevalence of anti-JOH and
anti-National Party graffiti appears as a glimmering of an uprising
in a city otherwise divided into quarters of poverty and opulence:
from poor, Libre strongholds like El Carrizal to
areas where Burger King and Little Caesar’s are second and third
only to Juan Orlando. United States colonialism is, basically,
omnipresent. American fast-food restaurants, mostly a luxury for the
country’s tiny middle class, operate tax-free in the country, while
those who can’t afford a Big Mac get squeezed on their electricity,
for example.
The
streets of Tegucigalpa tell the story of the resistance, to a degree.
One tag in the city refers to the use of graffiti as a means of
communicating a message: “When justice is silenced, the walls
speak.”

De Russische president Putin is getroffen door een zonnesteek of tien: de zak durfde tijdens de G20 in Japan Merkel de mantel uit te vegen over haar vluchtelingenbeleid……. Het beest Trump daarentegen voert volgens Putin een prima vluchtelingenbeleid…….
Alsof Merkel en daarmee Duitsland de ene na de andere illegale oorlog voert, dictators in het zadel helpt, dan wel dictators steunt met de terreur tegen het eigen volk…… Aan alle 3 hiervoor geschetste zaken maakt de VS zich nu juist schuldig, zaken die grote vluchtelingenstromen op gang brachten en brengen, ook in Latijns-Amerika…….
Anders gezegd: juist Trump is verantwoordelijk voor die vluchtelingenstromen, waarbij hij deze vluchtelingen durft af te schilderen als misdadigers, terwijl hij zich met voornoemde zaken juist schuldig maakt aan een groot aantal oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid…..
Ook in Syrië is de VS degene die de lont in het kruitvat aanstak*, iets dat juist Putin moet weten, immers hij werd te hulp geroepen door Syrië en dat in de strijd tegen de VS en de door haar gesteunde terreurgroepen, die met hun terreur zoals gezegd grote vluchtelingenstromen op gang bracht, vluchtelingen die Merkel welkom heette in Duitsland en de EU……
Putin moet de oren van z’n kop schamen!! In het vervolg kan hij beter eerst even goed nadenken voor hij dergelijke nonsens uit…….
* De VS was al vanaf 2006 bezig een opstand in Syrië op poten te zetten onder regie van de CIA (vooral met hulp van Hillary Clinton, destijds minister van BuZa onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama), een opstand die een coup tegen Assad moest uitlokken….. Tijdens de door de CIA en Clinton georganiseerde opstand in Syrië, heeft de VS terroristen het land in geholpen, die tijdens demonstraties op mensen begonnen te schieten, niet de politie of het leger van Assad, zoals de reguliere westerse media en politici nog steeds volhouden….. Dit alles daar Assad pijpleidingen van de Golfstaten richting EU over Syrisch grondgebied weigerde, een zaak waar vooral de VS op aandrong……
Wat een vertoning, de presentatie van het nieuwe rapport dat JIT heeft opgesteld. Zelfs de afscheiding door ‘pro-Russische rebellen’ van Oekraïne schijnt nu onderdeel van de bewijsvoering te zijn…… Men heeft het over de Oekraïense regering, als was het van meet af aan een wettige regering en niet een door de VS geparachuteerde junta, die samenwerkt met neonazi’s en daarmee haar echte ideologie prijsgaf: fascisme……
Alsof het JIT niet had kunnen uitvissen dat de VS de opstand in Oekraïne heeft georganiseerd en geregisseerd, bewijzen te over! Niet vreemd dus dat de bevolking in Oost-Oekraïne in opstand kwam, daar de door haar democratisch gekozen regering onder Janoekovytsj in feite werd afgezet….. Ook het schieten op demonstranten en politie op het Maidanplein in Kiev werd geregisseerd door de VS……. Voor al deze zaken trok Hillary Clinton, destijds VS minister van BuZa onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama, maar liefst 4 miljard dollar uit………
Intussen is de junta van Porosjenko, behalve deze uiterst corrupte ploert zelf, nog steeds aan het bewind, waar de nieuwe president Volodymyr Zelensky verkiezingen wil uitschrijven, wordt dit vooralsnog tegengewerkt door die fascistische krachten…..
Het JIT maakt melding van een opsporingsbevel voor Russische militairen die de BUK-installatie naar de plaats des onheils zou hebben gebracht, terwijl er niet één bewijs is dat die BUK- installatie werd vervoerd naar en afgevoerd van die plek, eerdere bewijzen in de vorm van foto’s bleken niet te kloppen met de data en zijn foto’s van veel eerdere datum….. Nog vreemder is het feit dat het JIT niet heeft gezocht naar Oekraïense BUK-installaties, ofwel het JIT weigert simpelweg te geloven dat de Oekraïense junta vlucht MH17 neer had kunnen halen….. Daarnaast zijn er nog steeds grote twijfels of er eigenlijk wel een BUK-raket is gebruikt voor het neerhalen van vlucht MH17……
Hoe verklaart het JIT dat op de dag van het neerhalen van vlucht MH17 alle radarposten van Oekraïne waren uitgeschakeld ‘wegens onderhoud’, daartoe was alleen de Oekraïense overheid in staat en niet de Russen…… Het is totaal belachelijk om alle radarinstallaties uit te schakelen als er onderhoud nodig is, geen ander land is zo gek om dat te doen, kortom dit gebeurde met opzet…..
Nog vreemder: waarom vloog MH17 deze route, terwijl de KLM eerder altijd over een ander gebied van Oekraïne vloog, echter ‘geheel toevallig’ niet op de dag dat MH17 werd neergehaald, nee toen vloog MH17 zelfs over oorlogsgebied, waar eerder al Oekraïense gevechtsvliegtuigen en helikopters werden neergehaald…. Overigens werden die militaire vliegtuigen neergehaald met een veel lichter soort raket, die niet de hoogte kon halen waarop MH 17 vloog….. Dat opgeteld bij het uitschakelen van alle radarinstallaties en de verlegde vliegroute (alleen bekend bij de VS en de Oekraïense autoriteiten) kan maar leiden tot één conclusie: de Oekraïense junta en de VS zijn verantwoordelijk voor het neerhalen van MH17……
Volgend op de hiervoor gestelde verantwoordelijkheid: wie had er belang bij het neerhalen van MH17? Zeker niet Rusland of de separatisten in Oost-Oekraïne, immers zij werden internationaal al gedemoniseerd met een enorm aantal leugens zoals de leugen dat Rusland De Krim heeft geannexeerd, een leugen die westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media telkens weer herhalen…….
De Porosjenko junta en de VS hadden alle belang bij het neerhalen van MH17, immers zo kon men de eerder genoemde demonisering van Rusland staven met zogenaamde feiten van barbaars gedrag….. Moet je nagaan, de Oekraïense junta voerde oorlog tegen de burgers in Oost-Oekraïne, daarvoor werden zelfs neonazi-bataljons ingeschakeld en werden steden gebombardeerd, een oorlogsmisdaad van formaat!!
Met het Rusland in de schoenen schuiven van het neerhalen van MH17 hoopte men de wereldopinie achter zich te krijgen en wonder oh wonder dat is gelukt, al heeft Maleisië, van wie het vliegtuig was, terecht grote twijfel over de gelogen gang van zaken en weet men in Rusland en China dondersgoed dat de VS haar hand niet omdraait voor het vermoorden van burgers als het daar garen bij kan spinnen, voorbeelden te over……….
De VS zag Rusland al voor de ramp met vlucht MH17 als hernieuwde vijand en met een actie als het neerhalen van MH17 kon men Rusland weer volledig tot de grootste vijand uitroepen, een zaak waarmee het militair-industrieel complex intussen al weer vele miljarden extra heeft verdiend…….. (neem alleen al de doorlopende provocaties middels militaire oefeningen langs de Russische grens, waar de NAVO en haar baas de VS niets te zoeken hebben, sterker nog men beloofde Gorbatsjov al in 1991 dat de NAVO niet zou uitbreiden richting Moskou…….)
Het JIT is volkomen ongeloofwaardig en het team is niets anders dan een instrument om Rusland verder te demoniseren en de schuld in de schoenen van dat land te schuiven…..

Reuters heeft willens en wetens een maand lang een rapport
tegengehouden waarin werd aangegeven dat de sancties van de VS tegen
het soevereine Venezuela vanaf augustus 2017 intussen aan 40.000
Venezolanen (inclusief veel kinderen…) het leven heeft gekost, ofwel deze mensen zijn vermoord
door illegale acties van de VS, illegaal daar de VN Veiligheidsraad
hier geen toestemming voor heeft gegeven………
Het is
om doodmoe van te worden, de terreur die de VS op dagelijkse basis
uitoefent tegen een aantal landen die haar niet welgevallig zijn. Hoe
is het mogelijk dat zelfs de reguliere media, die de ene leugen van
de VS na de andere herhalen, dit weten en desondanks door blijven gaan nieuwe leugens te herhalen…… Sterker nog als sociale media
die leugens doorprikken heeft men in de reguliere (massa-) media het gore lef te stellen dat deze sociale media nepnieuws (fake news) brengen, of zelfs samenzweringstheorieën in de wereld brengen…….. De reden daarvoor, één die ik al
meerdere keren heb gehoord uit de mond van ‘journalisten’ en
politici, is dat de VS onze bondgenoot is en er dus geen reden is aan
haar beschuldigingen te twijfelen, zoals de laatste beschuldigingen aan het adres van Iran,
na aanvallen op 2 olietankers in de Golf van Oman….*
Eerder leidden dit soort leugens zelfs tot illegale oorlogen van de VS tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, waar de VS uiteindelijk ook verantwoordelijk is voor de oorlog in Oekraïne, immers de opstand die tot de coup tegen de democratisch gekozen president Janoekovytsj leidde, werd door Hillary Clinton (minister van BuZa onder Obama) gefinancierd met 4 miljard dollar (!!) en voor een groot deel uitgevoerd onder regie en hoogstwaarschijnlijk deelname van de CIA……
Reuters meldt vooral vanuit het zieke gezichtspunt van de Trump administratie, dus vooral anti-Maduro en men geeft hem dan ook de schuld voor de ontstane desastreuze economische situatie in Venezuela….. Waar het voor een ieder die er 2 minuten tijd insteekt, duidelijk zal zijn dat de sancties en eerdere economische oorlog van de VS de grote boosdoeners zijn (en zoals je begrijpt, daarmee is de VS de werkelijke dader)……..
Zojuist schreef ik over een eerdere economische oorlog tegen Venezuela, daar de terreur van de VS op dit gebied niet van vandaag of gisteren is…… Voordat de VS de zogenaamde officiële sancties tegen Venezuela afkondigde. voerde het een geheime economische oorlog tegen Venezuela, al onder Obama en Bush……. Onder Obama werden VS winkelketens met winkels in Venezuela te verstaan gegeven hun voorraden zo mogelijk aan te vullen en ook de farmaceutische industrie werd te verstaan gegeven zo min mogelijk te leveren aan Venezuela (de VS heeft zelfs 5 miljard dollar van Venezuela dat in de VS was gereserveerd voor de aankoop van medicijnen en medische apparatuur, geblokkeerd voor gebruik door de Venezolaanse autoriteiten….. Tegelijk meldt de VS dat Maduro het volk medicijnen onthoudt…..)
Nogmaals: Reuters wist dat de VS sancties de economie van Venezuela ernstig hebben geschaad en schaden, maar hield een rapport daarover onder de pet….. Reuters zou een onafhankelijk nieuwsorgaan zijn, echter ook dat blijkt eens te meer onzin te zijn……

emailed Stephanie Nebehay of Reuterson
May 22 about her article, “Venezuela Turns to Russia, Cuba, China
in Health Crisis” (5/22/19).
Her article depicted the impact of US sanctions as an allegation that
Venezuelan government officials are alone in making.
Reuters
(5/22/19)
attributes the idea that US sanctions are causing a health crisis in
Venezuela to Venezuelan Health Minister Carlos Alvarado.
The
article stated:
The
opposition blames [medical shortages] on economic incompetence and
corruption by the leftist movement in power for two decades, but
[President Nicolás] Maduro says US economic sanctions are the cause.
I
asked why the piece made no mention of a study (CEPR, 4/25/19)
released a month earlier by economists Mark Weisbrot and Jeffrey
Sachs, which directly linked US sanctions to 40,000 deaths in
Venezuela since August of 2017.
Her
reply to me on May 23 was quite telling:
I
was not aware of that study, but am now and will bear in mind.
It
would indeed have been impossible for a Reuters reporter
to be aware of the study if they depended only on Reuters articles
to keep informed. The news agency hadn’t mentioned the study since
it was released, never mind written an article about it.
I
asked a contact I have at Reuters about this, and he
was also surprised that Reuters hadn’t even
mentioned the study. He suggested I query some of Reuters’
Venezuela-based reporters, which I did a few days later.
In
my email to them, I passed along a list of
news articles since August 2017, when Trump first dramatically
intensified economic
sanctions, that described worsening economic conditions.
I
also noted that though the Sachs/Weisbrot study was ignored
by Reuters,
it had been intensely debated
in public by
Venezuelan opposition economists (i.e., the kind of
people Reuters and
other Western media actually pay attention to on Venezuela).
CEPR compared oil
production in Venezuela and neighboring Colombia to illustrate the
impact of US sanctions.
The
Brookings Institution published a few rebuttals to the study
(here and here),
which I also pointed out to Reuters. The objections Brookings made were essentially already
addressed by
Weisbrot and Sachs in response to other critics.
On
June 9, Reuters finally
mentioned the study, at the end of an article by
Nebehay, who is based in Geneva:
One
study in April, co-authored by US economists Jeffrey Sachs and Mark
Weisbrot, blamed sanctions for causing more deaths and
disproportionately hitting the most vulnerable.
“We
find that the sanctions have inflicted, and increasingly inflict,
very serious harm to human life and health, including an estimated
more than 40,000 deaths from 2017–2018,” they said, arguing they
were illegal under international law.
Nevertheless,
since the day Nebehay replied to me, Reuters has
continued to portray the severe impact of US sanctions as an
allegation that only Maduro and other Venezuelan officials have made.
It was even done by Reuters in
an article published
June 10, the day after the wire service finally mentioned the study:
The
government of President Nicolás Maduro says Venezuela’s economic
problems are caused by US sanctions that have crippled the OPEC
member’s export earnings and blocked it from borrowing from abroad.
Reuters
(6/1/19)
treats the idea that US sanctions are responsible for deaths in
Venezuela as an allegation made by Maduro–placing it after the
statement, “The opposition has blamed their deaths on President
Nicolás Maduro, whose socialist administration has presided over the
collapse of the once-wealthy nation’s economy and severe reductions
in healthcare spending.”
Other
instances of Reuters representing the idea that US
sanctions work as they are intended to do—in other words, that they
hurt the Venezuelan economy—as an allegation made by Maduro or his
government:
“He
[President Maduro] says the country’s economic problems are the
result of an ‘economic war’ led by his political adversaries
with the help of Washington.” (5/23/19)
“Maduro,
who maintains control over state institutions, calls Guaidó a
puppet of Washington and blames US sanctions for a hyperinflationary
economic meltdown and humanitarian crisis.” (5/26/19;
repeated almost verbatim, 5/28/19)
“Maduro’s
government, however, says US-imposed sanctions were responsible for
the children’s deaths, by freezing funds allocated to buy medicine
and send the children to Italy for treatment under the 2010
agreement.” (6/1/19)
“Maduro
blames the situation on an ‘economic war’ waged by his political
adversaries as well as US sanctions that have hobbled the oil
industry and prevented his government from borrowing abroad.”

“Maduro
says Venezuela is victim of an ‘economic war’ led by the
opposition with the help of Washington, which has levied several
rounds of sanctions against his government.” (6/7/19)
Two
recent articles by Reuters, however, stated the obvious
about the most recent US sanctions that were implemented in 2019:
“Venezuela
is in the midst of a years-long economic and humanitarian crisis
that has deepened since the United States imposed sanctions on the
country’s oil industry in January as part of an effort to oust
Socialist President Nicolás Maduro in favor of opposition leader
Juan Guaidó.” (6/7/19)
“Venezuela’s
oil exports dropped 17 percent in May because of the sanctions.”
(6/6/19)
But
the study Reuters belatedly mentioned shows that US
sanctions have been devastating to Venezuela’s economy, and
seriously aggravating the humanitarian crisis, since August 2017.
Apologists
for Trump always rush to say that Venezuela’s depression began
years before Trump’s sanctions—as if that made it acceptable to
deliberately worsen a humanitarian crisis. To tweak an
analogy Caitlin
Johnstone used,
think of a defense attorney saying, “Your Honor, I will show that
the victim was already in intensive care when my client began to
assault him.”
Moreover,
as Steve Ellner recently discussed,
US support for an insurrectionist opposition in Venezuela goes back
over a decade before the crisis, and was a factor in causing it.
Economic sanctions Obama introduced in 2015 were also
harmful—Weisbrot (The
Hill, 11/6/16)
in 2016 called them “ugly and belligerent enough to keep many
investors from investing in Venezuela and to raise the country’s
cost of borrowing”—even before Trump’s dramatic escalation of
economic warfare that they paved the way for.
Putting
aside a study by prominent US economists, the “Maduro says”
formulation is also inexcusable because US Sen. Marco Rubio, who has
been widely
reported as
a major influence on Trump’s Venezuela policy, gleefully tweeted on
May 16 that Maduro “can’t access funds to rebuild electric grid.”
Rubio
didn’t pretend he was referring to an imaginary electric grid used
exclusively by Maduro. Reuters (5/30/19)
has itself referred to Rubio as the “leading voice in the crafting
of President Donald Trump’s Venezuela policy,” in a lengthy piece
about US sanctions that said absolutely nothing about their impact on
the general population, implying throughout that sanctions only
impacted Maduro and other officials. (“Being blacklisted also
crimps the lifestyle of Venezuelan officials’
families,” Reuters reported.)
My
fellow FAIR contributor, Alan MacLeod, interviewed many
Venezuela-based journalists for his book Bad
News From Venezuela.
He wrote last year (FAIR.org, 5/24/18):
Media
copy and paste from news organizations like Reuters and Associated
Press (AP), which themselves employ many cheaper local journalists.
In
Venezuela, these journalists are not neutral actors, but come from
the highly partisan local media, affiliated with the opposition,
leading to a situation where Western newsrooms see themselves as an
ideological spearhead against Maduro, “the resistance” to the
government.
Even
worse than being the “resistance” to Maduro is that Reuters has
often made itself the “assistance” to politicians like Rubio, who
are vicious enough to celebrate the
economic strangulation of millions of people.
Reuters may
carry on as if it had never reported the study by Weisbrot and Sachs.
Western media outlets are perfectly willing to ignore their own
reporting when it suits powerful interests (Extra!
Update, 10/02).
It is therefore up to all of us to not be passive consumers of news,
and continually bear in mind that the news we are getting about
official enemies may be less than half the story.

On
Wednesday the alternative media outlet Southfrontpublished
an article titled
“New Video Throws Light On Jaysh Al-Izza High-Tolerance
To Al-Qaeda Ideology” about newly discovered footage showing the
leader of a “rebel” faction in Syria cozying up with a
militant who was wearing a badge of the official flag of ISIS.
“The
video shows Jaysh al-Izza* General Commander Major Jamil al-Saleh
congratulating a group of his fighters on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr
in a underground bunker,” Southfrontreports.
“One of the fighters greeted by Saleh was wearing a batch of the
Islamic Black Standard with the Seal of Muhammad. This is a
well-known symbol of al-Qaeda and the official flag of ISIS.”
Today,
mass media outlets are mourning the death of a well-known Jaysh
al-Izza fighter named Abdel-Basset al-Sarout with grief-stricken
beatifications not seen since the death of war criminal John McCain.
An Associated
Press report which
has been published by major news outlets like The
New York Times, The
Guardian, PBSand Bloomberg commemorates
Sarout as a “Syrian soccer goalkeeper” who “won
international titles representing his country”, as “the
singer of the revolution”, and as “an icon among Syria’s
opposition”.
Remember Major
Jamil al-Saleh from two paragraphs ago? AP features his glowing
eulogy in its write-up on Sarout’s death:
“He
was both a popular figure, guiding the rebellion, and a military
commander,” said Maj. Jamil al-Saleh, leader of Jaish al-Izza rebel
group, in which Sarout was a commander. “His martyrdom will give us
a push to continue down the path he chose and to which he offered his
soul and blood as sacrifice.”

in 2013, Jaysh al-Izza was one of the first Free Syrian Army (FSA)
groups in northern Syria to benefit from U.S. support through the

in the aforementioned article.
“The group received loads of weapons from the U.S. including
Grad rockets, as well as Fagot and TOW anti-tank guided missiles
(ATGMs).”
“Jaysh
al-Izza received this support under the pretension of being a
‘moderate group’ led by a known Syrian Arab Army (SAA) defector,
al-Saleh,” Southfront adds.
“However, the group’s acts were not in line with these claims.
Since its formation, Jaysh al-Izza has been deeply linked to
al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria, the al-Nusra Front. The group became
one of the main allies of al-Nusra when its changed its name to
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in 2017.”
“Western
thought leaders are lionizing Abdel Baset al-Sarout who was killed
fighting the Syrian army,” tweeted journalist
Dan Cohen of the mass media response to Sarout’s death. “They
conveniently omit that he fought in a militia allied with al-Qaeda
and pledged allegiance to ISIS.”
Cohen
linked to an excerpt from his mini-documentary The
Syria Deception featuring
footage of Sarout holding an ISIS flag, leading chants calling for
the extermination of the Alawite minority in Syria, and announcing
his allegiance to ISIS.
Western
thought leaders are lionizing Abdel Baset al-Sarout who was killed
fighting the Syrian army. They conveniently omit that he fought in a

Other
publicly available video footage includes a
speech by Sarout urging
cooperation between his own faction, ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra
(Al-Qaeda’s Syrian franchise), saying “we know that these two
groups are not politicized and have the same goals as us, and are
working for God.”
“God
willing we will work with them shoulder-to-shoulder when we leave
here,” Sarout has
been translated as
saying in the speech. “And we are not Christians or Shiaa to be
scared of suicide belts and car bombs. We consider these things as
strengths of ours, and God willing they will be just that.
This
message is to the Islamic State and our brothers in Jabhat al-Nusra,
that when we come out of here we will all be one hand to fight
Christians and not to have internal fights among ourselves. We want
to take back all the lands that have been filthied by the regime,
that were entered and taken over by Shiaas and apostates.”
This
bloodthirsty terrorist warmongering was taken by the aforementioned
AP hagiography and twisted into the single sentence, “He
repeatedly denounced rebel infighting and called on Syrians to unite
against government forces.”
The
Atlantic‘s
Hassan Hassan framed Sarout’s unconscionable agendas as mere “flaws”
which actually add to his inspiring and heroic story, tweeting,
“Some individuals celebrated as heroes make you doubt all
stories of heroes in history books. Others, like Abdulbasit Sarout,
not inspire of but despite his flaws, make those stories highly
plausible. He’s a true legend & his story is well documented.
May his soul rest in peace.”
Yeah,
come on, everybody’s got flaws. Some people suck at parallel parking,
some people team up with ISIS and Al-Qaeda on genocidal extermination
campaigns. We’ve all got our quirky little foibles.
Some individuals celebrated as heroes make you doubt all stories of heroes in history books. Others, like Abdulbasit Sarout, not inspire of but despite his flaws, make those stories highly plausible. He’s a true legend & his story is well documented. May his soul rest in peace:
We
can expect more and more of these mass media distortions as Syria and
its allies draw closer to recapturing Syrian land from the extremist
forces which nearly
succeeded in toppling Damascus just
a few short years ago.
As
these distortions pour in, keep this in mind: all of the violence
that is still happening in Syria is the fault of the US and its
allies, who helped extremist jihadist factions like Jaysh
al-Izza overrun the nation to advance the
preexisting goal of
effecting regime change. The blame for all the death, suffering and
chaos which ensues from a sovereign nation fighting to reclaim its
land from these bloodthirsty factions rests solely on the government
bodies which inflicted their dominance over the region in the first
place.
You
will see continuing melodramatic garment-rending from the US State
Department and its mass media stenographers about “war crimes”
and “human rights violations” as though the responsibility
for this violence rests somewhere other than on the US-centralized
power alliance, but they will be lying.
What
these warmongering propagandists are doing is exactly the same as
paying a bunch of violent thugs to break into a home and murder its
owner, then standing by and sounding the alarm about the way the
homeowner chooses to fight off their assailants.
After
it was discovered that the US and its allies armed actual, literal
terrorist factions in Syria with the goal of effecting regime change,
the only sane response would have been for the public to loudly and
aggressively demand that all governments involved to take immediate
action to completely rectify all damage done by this unforgivable war
crime at any cost, and for there to be war crimes tribunals for every
decision maker who was a part of it. Instead, because of propaganda
circulated by the same mass media narrative management firms who are
sanctifying the memory of Abdel-Basset al-Sarout today, the
public remains asleep to the depravity of its rulers. This dynamic
must change if we are to survive and thrive as a species.

Hale is de vierde klokkenluider die belachelijk genoeg wordt beschuldigd
van spionage en volgens zeggen zouden de Trump administratie en de FBI

Espionage
Act Charged 4th Time Under Trump
The
Trump administration has charged yet another whistleblower with
espionage. Last Thursday, Daniel
Everette Hale was arrested and indicted,
for allegedly disclosing classified documents about the U.S.
military’s assassination program, believed to have been the source
material for a series in The Intercept called “The
Drone Papers”.
I provided legal representation for Daniel during his appearance in
the award-winning drone documentary National
Bird.
Daniel
could face 50 years in prison, accused of contacting the press about
a matter of extreme public importance that has been shrouded in
secrecy. But the larger concern is
not what
Hale did or didn’t do but what our
government has
been doing. For almost two decades, they have used a veil of secrecy
to deny the American public the basic right to informed debate and
consent. Government officials have repeatedly lied about nature and
the extent of drone assassinations. No one has ever been held
accountable for these lies, or for the war crimes committed.
Daniel
is at least the
seventh source to
be criminally prosecuted — and the fourth to be charged under the
Espionage Act — during the Trump administration. And the government
claims to be investigating dozens more open cases.
Trump’s
Department of Justice is building upon the foundation laid by the
Obama administration’s notorious War on Whistleblowers, taking an
already draconian effort to the next level. The Justice Department
has made every effort to prosecute leaks even more aggressively,
reopening old cases, and even creating
a dedicated FBI counterintelligence unit to hunt down leakers.
They are placing government employees are under increasingly heavy
surveillance, with the intention to clamp down on their First
Amendment right to free speech. This administration is on pace to
break even Obama’s record number of prosecutions, and has already
attained more years in prison sentences for whistleblowers than any
previous president.
This
administration has also expanded the War on Whistleblowers to
directly attack publishers and journalists, a move that even the
Obama administration ultimately backed down from. Julian Assange’s
indictment is clearly a thin pretext to punish the publication of
documents, but in so doing, alsocriminalizes
the journalistic best practices of using encryption and protecting
source anonymity. Meanwhile, Chelsea Manning has been senselessly
re-imprisoned for refusing to testify before a grand jury
investigating the Assange case, despite having already testified
publicly in her original trial.
In
short, this is the darkest moment for press freedom in the modern
era. I hope you’ll continue to support us in defending national
security whistleblowers, sources, and ultimately the free press.

Met behulp van Avaaz is Libië verworden tot zo ongeveer het armste land van Afrika, het ontbreekt de bevolking aan van alles en meisjes mogen niet meer naar school, laat staan studeren…… Tienduizenden Libiërs verloren het leven, niet alleen vanwege de NAVO bombardementen (Nederlandse F16s werden gebruikt om doelen aan te wijzen), maar ook door etnische zuiveringen….. Er worden nu zelfs openbare slavenmarkten gehouden in Libië, en de oorlog is nog steeds gaande…… Nogmaals: met dank aan Avaaz…..

The
organization Avaaz was instrumentalin
building public approval for the No Fly Zone for the illegal invasion
of Libya in 2011. The NATO-led destabilization/illegal war in Libya
resulted in the annihilation of a formerly sovereign country that has
since descended into brutal chaos. Tens upon thousands of Libyans
died and the most savage ethnic cleansing that the mind can imagine
has been widespread. The destruction of Libya has been nothing less
than a full-scale bloodbath.

When
Avaaz rolled out the same rinse, lather and repeat campaign for the
seizing of Syria, the public did not fall prey as easily. The
campaign failed. Below are three separate links to the Avaaz campaign

Of
the Avaaz campaigns pressing for a no-fly zone (air strikes) over
Syria that flourished in June of 2013, at least two employed the use
of chemical weapons to incite fear and hatred toward the Assad
government. It does not take much stretch of the imagination to
consider Avaaz had inside knowledge of the upcoming chemical attack
that would take place in outer Damascus approximately 10 weeks later.
Considering Avaaz co-founder Tom Perriello’s connection to the
Obama administration and its well known war criminals, it is entirely
plausible that Avaaz was churning out propaganda that would lead up
to and sensationalize a false
flag attack.

August 30, 2013 article “On
the Eve of an Illegal Attack on Syria, Avaaz/350.org Board Members
Beat the Drums of War” documents Avaaz links imploring a
no-fly zone on Syria – both public links have since been removed.
The article also
featured 350.org board member Van Jones calling for air strikes on
Syria. (Adding twisted irony, Van Jones also serves as co-founder and
executive director of the Ella
Baker Center for Human Rights.
The co-opting of deceased civil rights revolutionaries to advance the
goals of hegemony has become common practice within these
foundation-financed projects.)

The email from Patel represented a last-ditch effort to garner
support for a no-fly zone as the US prepared to launch an attack on
Syria.
One
year earlier, in 2012 Avaaz was allegedly sponsoring
fabricated videos of
civilian massacres, to back deeper foreign intervention in Syria.
Fact-checking and videos appear to collaborate these
claims.
Jump
forward to 2014.
In
the September 8, 2014 article Pentagon
Planning Points to Possible Anti-Syria US Military Campaign,
author Stephen Gowans observes:
“Now,
it appears that Washington is on the cusp of pressing ahead with its
planned campaign of military action. The New York Times has reported
that ‘Pentagon planners envision a military campaign’ to destroy
ISIS ‘in its sanctuary inside Syria’ that could last ‘at least
36 months.’ According to The Wall Street Journal, airstrikes would
support anti-Assad fighters unaligned with ISIS, who would be
bankrolled by $500 million in US funding, and backed by a global
coalition, including the UK and Australia, that would ‘provide a
range of assistance, including humanitarian aid and weapons.’ These
countries could also join the United States in an air-war over
Syria.”
It
should not be considered a coincidence that at the same time, a
polished, sophisticated and highly financed “Save Syria” campaign
is being created in the board rooms of the Empire’s favourite
Harvard boys.
Where,
under the organization Avaaz, the public hasn’t acquiesced to an
air strike on Syria, the New York public relations firm Purpose
Inc. has stepped in.
Purpose
is a for-profit enterprise that is marketed to appear like a
non-profit. Their area of expertise is behavioural change.

upon and expertise in behavioural
change.

the behavioural change tactics used by Avaaz are on public display,
double-breasted, for-profit Purpose, with its non-profit arm, sells
their expertise behind the scenes to further the interest of hegemony
and capital. Whether it be a glossy campaign to
help facilitate yet another illegal “humanitarian intervention”
led by aggressive U.S. militarism (an oxymoron if there ever was
one), or the creation of a new global “green” economy, Purpose is
the consulting firm that the wolves of Wall Street and oligarchs
alike depend upon to make it happen.
Make
no mistake, the Yale (for example, Avaaz co-founder and former U.S.
Representative*Tom

and Harvard graduates that comprise the “Avaaz boys” (many having
been groomed by McKinsey
and Company)
are considered “the dream team” by the globe’s most powerful

former Managing Director of Partnerships for “Purpose” is Marilia
Bezerra. From 2006 to 2011 Bezerra held an integral position within
the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) executive leadership. As Clinton
Global Initiative director of commitments, Bezerra led the redesign
of member engagement and commitments services into a
year-round operation. From 2007 to 2008, Bezerra held the
position of sponsorship manager of the Clinton Global Initiative
where she directly managed five major sponsorship accounts, including
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Procter & Gamble, valued at
over $2 million dollars. From 2006 to 2008, Bezerra held the position
of Commitment Development Senior Manager for the Clinton Global
Initiative. In 2009, Bezerra was Deputy Director of Commitments for

One
should note that in the case of many NGOs, on 990 tax forms it
appears as though those at the helm are paid minimally, if at all.
Rather than salaries, many founders of institutions make immense fees
via consulting services where their names are not identified on 990
forms. In the case of Avaaz, co-founder Ricken Patel does take a
salary (approx. $190,000.00 per year) plus consulting fees.
Consulting fees must be considered the bread and butter of many
“progressives” whose incomes rival CEOs of multinational
corporations. The salaries and incomes are incredible when one
accounts for the fact that many NGOs, such as Avaaz, rake in millions
of dollars in donations from well-intentioned and hard-working
citizens who are at or below the poverty line.

Inc. (with its co-founders) is a favourite of high-finance websites
such as The Economist and Forbes and sells its consulting services
and branding/marketing campaigns to Google, Audi, the American Civil
Liberties Union (ACLU), The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and
many others that comprise the world’s most powerful corporations
and institutions. In 2012, it raised $3m from investors. “Ford
Foundation, which has given Purpose’s non-profit arm a grant,
reckons it is shaping up to be “one of the blue-chip social

the illusory “green economy“)
is a vital marketing strategy of Purpose. In the case of #withSyria,
famed street artist Banksyhas
reworked his “Young Girl” famed graffiti stencil in
support of the campaign.
On the main page of this website the behavioural change strategists
at Purpose promote a slick, emotive video of a white child (in
America) slowly becoming traumatized by the violence in Syria. No
doubt, Purpose’s marketing executives have taken this avenue
because they know that the majority of Euro-Americans with privilege
simply are not moved by images of suffering children that are
non-Caucasian. Non-White children being slaughtered by imperial
states became normalized for most Euro-American citizens long ago.
And
of course corporate
media is
not far away to promote the
cries for war peace.
Consider today, on September 17, 2014, ABC “reports“:
“What
if we could reverse the explosion of a bomb? A group of 130
organizations from around the world,
known collectively as the ‘With Syria’ campaign, released a video
Wednesday that shows just what that would look like. The campaign
hopes to bring attention to the violence in Syria. (video) Warning:
Contains disturbing imagery. In the video, the act of a bomb
exploding near children playing is reversed: The blood returns to
their heads, the children stand back up, run in reverse and continue
the game they were playing. A message says, ‘We can’t reverse
what’s happened in Syria, but we can change how the story ends.’”
Indeed
Purpose is being paid to bring about the ending that the elites have
hired them to ensure.

emotionally charged campaigns are critical tools for empire. They
have become critical (and successful) in building the acquiescence
required for “humanitarian
interventions”

Military Utilize NGOs to Induce Pacification & Advance Western
Ideologies on Iraqi Citizens
The
video below captures highlights from the 2004 Princeton Colloquium on
Public and International Affairs and should that be at the Woodrow
Wilson School of Public and International Affairs – The Role of
NGOs in Global Governance and Society. Attention to the title is key:
“NON-governmental
organizations in global GOVERNANCE.”
[Note the use of the term “guerrilla” (4:13)
in describing any citizen/person resisting the occupation/assault by
US military on Iraq soil.] Since the filming of this video,
accelerating regime change operations are being conducted by Western
militaries, hand in hand with Western NGOs throughout the globe.

In essence, NGOs have become an indispensable instrument of
destabilization and regime change for imperial states and hegemonic
interests. NGOs also serve as the primary agents to implant
neoliberal policies and western ideologies in targeted states to

Syrians holding up a poster that features a “thumbs up”
illustration for USA and the UN.
Exploiting
the death of Syrian children to provoke air strikes and military
aggression demonstrates that such agencies go to any extreme to
further American foreign policy. Note that the very carnage described
above: “killing
over a thousand, many of them children” is
par for the course for the U.S. military, which carries out such
atrocities on innocent civilians, including children, on a daily
basis, all over the world. But don’t expect an Avaaz or Purpose
campaign against the Obama Regime any time soon. They will be too
busy under the guise of their NGO MoveOn, working on his re-election.
The

this event coverage.”

Consider
that the colour of the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya (from
1977 to 2011; The Great
Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)
was pure green in colour. Unlike the one featured in the Avaaz
campaign. The green colour traditionally symbolizes Islam. In Libya,
green was also a colour traditionally used to represent
the Tripolitania region
(commonly referred to as Tripoli) that NATO forces fought to seize.
The iconic green flag was chosen by Libyan leader/brother Muammar
Gaddafi to symbolize his political philosophy (after his
revolutionary Green
Book).
On 10 March 2011, France was the first state to recognize the council
as the official government of Libya, as well as the first to allow
the Libyan embassy staff to raise the red, black, green and white
flag that would replace the green flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya. On
21 March, the “new” flag was flown by the Permanent Mission of
Libya to the United Nations and appeared on their official website …
this flag, which reigned prior to the Libyan Jamahiriya, is now the
only flag used by the United Nations to represent Libya. According to
the following UN statement: “Following the adoption by the General
Assembly of resolution 66/1, the Permanent Mission of Libya to the
United Nations formally notified the United Nations of a Declaration
by the National Transitional Council of 3 August 2011 changing the
official name of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to “Libya” as well as
a decision to change Libya’s national flag to the original.”

On
August 24, 2011 it is reported by
yet another mouthpiece for empire that:
“As
Libyan rebels take over, embassies worldwide have been replacing the
old Libyan flag with a new one…. But
starting in February, a new flag – red, black, and green with a
white star and crescent in the center – has been hoisted at Libyan
embassies around the world, from
Switzerland to Bangladesh.
It is the same flag being flown by the jubilant rebels themselves as
they descend on Tripoli.”
In
the article, the words “U.S. funded mercenaries” have been
replaced with “the jubilant rebels.” It would be well worth
investigating who ordered, manufactured and paid for thousands of
these new flags (prior to or commencing in February of 2011) and
ensured they would replace the national flag of the Libyan Jamahiriya
that flourished from 1977 to 2011.

three-dozen religious activists met at the Washington office of the
Center for American Progress, a recently formed think tank headed by
former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta. The Res Publica-driven
agenda for the closed-door gathering included sessions on “building

Post’s Greg Miller reported
Sunday that President Donald Trump’s confiscation of the
translator’s notes from a one-on-one conversation with Russian
President Vladimir Putin in 2017 was “unusual.” This is
incorrect. It was unprecedented. There
is nothing like it in the annals of presidential history.
Not
really. Other U.S. leaders held long private meetings with their
counterparts without notes being taken.
When
Richard Nixon met Leonid Brezhnev he did not even bring his own
interpreter:
Nixon
would meet Brezhnev alone, the only other person in attendance being
Viktor Sukhodrev, the Soviet interpreter. “Our first meeting in
the Oval Office was private, except for Viktor Sukhodrev, who, as in
1972, acted as translator.” Nixon on Brezhnev’s 1973 visit. RN,
p.878 . Therefore, the only “notes” that would exist would
be those of the Soviet interpreter. Not sure he would have time to
make notes and translate and, even if he did so, whether those notes
would be housed in any US archive.
Nixon’s
White House office was bugged. There are probably tape recordings of
the talks. There might also be recordings of the Trump-Putin talks.
Mr.
Reagan and Mr. Gorbachev began their second day of talks with a
private meeting that had been scheduled to last 15 minutes but ran
for nearly 70 minutes, with
only interpreters present.
They met in a small room in
the Soviet Mission,
with the Soviet leader seated in a small armchair and Mr. Reagan on a
sofa.
In
the afternoon, they meet alone for a little over 20 minutes and then
again for 90 minutes. All told, the
two leaders have spent 4 hours and 51 minutes alone,
except for interpreters, over the two days here.
That
the FBI agents involved in the decision were avid haters of Russia
and of Trump has surely nothing to do with it. That the opening of a
counter-intelligence investigation gave them the legal ability under
Obama’s EO12333 to use NSA signal intelligence against Trump is
surely irrelevant.
What
the FBI people really were concerned about is Trump’s public record
of favoring Russia at each and every corner.
Trump
obviously wants better diplomatic relations with Russia. He is
reluctant to counter its military might. He is doing his best to make
it richer. Just consider the headlines below. With all those good
things Trump did for Putin, intense suspicions of Russian influence
over him is surely justified.
When
one adds up all those actions one can only find that Trump cares more
about Russia, than about the U.S. and its NATO allies. Only with
Trump being under Putin’s influence, knowingly or unwittingly, could
he end up doing Russia so many favors.
