De ‘onafhankelijke’* zendgemachtigde NOS bracht afgelopen zondag in het nieuws van 9.00 u. het bericht dat er die dag in Ecuador verkiezingen zouden plaatsvinden. De nieuwsredactie vond het blijkbaar nodig een waardeoordeel te verbinden aan dit bericht: de nieuwslezer lepelde op, dat de zittende president Correa een autoritair-links bewind had gevoerd…….

Goed luisterend naar de nieuwslezer, kon je niet anders concluderen, dan dat het beleid van Correa waardeloos was, ook al bracht hij aanvankelijk voorspoed, wat volgens de nieuwslezer alleen te danken was aan olie inkomsten……..
Uiteraard vertelde de nieuwslezer niet, dat in Ecuador voor het eerste presidentschap van Correa (van 2007 tot 2009) de situatie voor de grote onderlaag, waaronder de oorspronkelijke bevolking van Ecuador, bijzonder slecht was. Gevangen in armoede door rechts-conservatief bewind en met onevenredige macht voor de grootgrondbezitters, was deze onderlaag verarmd en bijkans lamgeslagen.
Gelukkig bracht Correa daar verandering in…..
Intussen zijn de verkiezingen niet geëindigd met de overwinning van één partij en verwacht men onlusten in dit land…….Kijk, ook daar heeft de NOS nieuwsredactie geen belangstelling voor…….
* U had het al begrepen, de NOS is allesbehalve onafhankelijk: wiens brood men eet diens woord men spreekt en dat is de zittende regering, die o.a. schijt heeft aan Correa.

Ja beste bezoeker, er staan wel uitroeptekens achter de kop, maar iedereen zou kunnen weten, dat het nieuws van CNN van meet af aan gekleurd was en dat CNN er geen moeite mee heeft, de grootste leugens als ‘feitennieuws’ te brengen. Neem alleen al de aanloop naar de illegale oorlog tegen Irak in 2003.
Toch leuk, als op een andere manier, deze leugenachtige zender aan de paal wordt genageld. Een CNN medewerker, ‘Miss X’, heeft stiekem opgenomen audiomateriaal overgedragen aan James O’Keefe en zijn team van ‘Project Veritas‘.
De opnamen gemaakt in de redactielokalen van CNN , geven zo mogelijk een nog smeriger beeld, van deze ‘gehypte’ sensatiezender, die het VS buitenlandbeleid door dik en dun steunt en die voorts schaamteloos de belangen behartigt van de grote bedrijven, de financiële maffia tot en die van het militair-industrieel complex, maar dat laatste is dan ook geen verrassing………
James O’Keefe en zijn team van Project Veritas hebben intussen 119 uur ruw audiomateriaal gepubliceerd en hebben nog eens 100 uur achter de hand. O’Keefe roept vrijwilligers op, mee te helpen met de analyse van het materiaal.

and his team at Project Veritas just released covertly captured,
previously unheard audio footage from within the CNN newsroom. But
unlike his usual undercover sting operations, this footage was
allegedly sourced from a CNN insider who apparently grew frustrated
with the perpetually biased reporting of the “fake news” media
outlet.
Per O’Keefe’s
website,
today’s release includes 119 hours of secretly recorded raw footage
from an inside source at CNN with another 100 hours of footage still
to be released. Given the volume of footage to be released, O’Keefe
is asking for help to transcribe and investigate the recordings and
encourages users to provide tips on interesting discoveries here.

audio was secretly recorded in 2009 by an anonymous source inside
CNN’s Atlanta headquarters who we are identifying as Miss X. The
tapes contain soundbites from current and previous CNN employees Joe
Sterling, Arthur Brice, and Nicky Robertson, as well as numerous
others.

order to expose media malfeasance within CNN, we need your help
transcribing, investigating and connecting the dots on these 200+
hours of audio. Leave

Among
other things, the audio recordings reveal CNN attempting to
misrepresent polling data…

read a CNN poll that was taken on June 26 and 28th, and I know that
the hearing for the case, the fire fighters case was on the 29th, so
the poll was done right before it, and those are still the poll
results we’re reporting, so
I asked someone in DC who does the poll results about why we hadn’t
updated it, and said there were a few newer polls from last week and
the week before and there’s CBS news polls and a Rasmussen poll,
and he said we don’t use Rasmussen, and I said does CNN plan to do
another poll if we’re only using that. He
said we’re not going to be doing another poll, those are the
results we’ll be using. So I don’t see how that’s reporting all
sides because that poll said hold for release until Friday the 10th.”

Gisteren ontving ik van Care2 een petitie n.a.v. de doodstraf die Mohamed Mkhaitir in Mauritanië kreeg opgelegd. Dit daar hij op z’n blog had geschreven dat er mensen zijn die religie misbruiken voor het rechtvaardigen van raciale en sociale discriminatie in zijn land………
Mensen lees en teken de petitie ajb en geeft het door! Het is 2017, zijn ze nou helemaal bedonderd!!

Free Mohamed Mkhaitir
Mohamed
Cheikh Ould Mkhaitir could be executed for exercising his freedom of
expression.
In
2012*, Mohamed was arrested and imprisoned for writing an article
about the use of religion in order to justify racial and social
discrimination in Mauritania. He was sentenced to death for apostasy.
Earlier
this month, Mohamed’s appeal made its way all the way to the Supreme
Court of Mauritania, only to be shot back down to the same appeals
court that previously upheld his death sentence. This
is a gross miscarriage of justice that must be rectified.
Since
its independence in 1960, Mauritania has never carried out an
execution for apostasy. We can’t let Mohamed be the first. In fact,
the death penalty for apostasy should not be law in the first place.
* Dikke fout, m.z. 2014, o, precies te zijn,Mohamed Mkhaitir, werd op 2 januari 2014 gearresteerd. Op 23 december 2014 begon het proces tegen sjeik Mkhaitir en één dag later werd hij ter dood veroordeeld……… Uiteraard zonder ook maar één letter kritiek van de waardeloze minister van BuZA, PvdA jaknikker Koenders (onthoudt u dat a.u.b., als u op 15 maart a.s. gaat stemmen!).

Het Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) publiceerde een paar dagen geleden een nieuw rapport over de internationale wapenhandel. De wereldwijde handel in wapens is de afgelopen 5 jaar opgelopen tot een ‘record’, dat na het einde van de Koude Oorlog (1991) niet meer is gezien!
Dat was dan ook de bedoeling, nadat men de verkoop van wapens zag inzakken na het eind van die Koude Oorlog. Niet voor niets werden de aanvallen van 911 op o.a. de Twin Towers uitgevoerd. De geheime diensten van de VS, waarschijnlijk in samenwerking met de Israëlische Mossad, rekruteerden een aantal jihadstrijders in Saoedi-Arabië om de aanval in te zetten*. De springstoffen onder het WTC in New York (met o.a. de eerder genoemde Twin Towers), die werden geplaatst door aannemers van o.a. de CIA, maakten ‘de klus’ af……
Die aanval ‘was nodig’ voor de VS om de oorlog te kunnen verklaren aan het terrorisme en daarmee de weg vrij te maken voor niet alleen aanvallen op terroristen als Bin Laden, maar ook op landen als Afghanistan en Irak, illegale oorlogen die het militair-industrieel complex een fikse steun in de rug gaven………
SIPRI stelt nu dus, dat het beoogde doel bereikt is, althans voor nu, uiteraard moet de productie van wapentuig nog veel verder omhoog, hoe groot de kosten aan mensenlevens ook zijn……. ‘Mooie bijkomstigheid’ met die oorlog tegen terreur, lag de mogelijkheid open de mensenrechten uit te kleden, evenals het recht op privacy, wat dan ook is gebeurd…… Zodat de overheid in de (nabije) toekomst elk begin van een opstand in de kiem kan smoren en ongestraft het grootste deel van de bevolking het vel over de neus kan trekken….. Dit geldt niet alleen voor de VS overheid, maar ook voor de andere westerse regeringen.
Shahtahmasebi, schrijver van een artikel op ANTIMEDIA over het rapport van SIPRI, stelt dat met deze record verkopen van wapens een wereldoorlog op de loer ligt. Al moet ik zeggen, dat dit geen nieuws is, zie de opstelling van de VS onder Obama t.a.v. Rusland……. De VS was zelfs het eerste ‘land’, dat onder Obama stelde kernwapens niet meer als afschrikkingsmiddel en als uiterst verdedigingsmiddel te zien, maar als (eerste) aanvalswapen…… Daarna volgde de inhumane neoliberale feeks May, premier van Groot-Brittannië, koud na haar benoeming in juli vorig jaar, met eenzelfde uitspraak…… Al heeft Shahtahmasebi, net als de voormalige Russische president Gorbatsjov, groot gelijk, als zij stellen dat de wereld zich klaarmaakt voor Wereld Oorlog III……… (Overigens zegt Shahtahmasebi zelf ook, dat velen al langer waarschuwen voor een nieuwe Wereld Oorlog.)
De eerste VS poging om Rusland uit te lokken een oorlog te beginnen, middels de door de VS opgezette, gefinancierde en geregisseerde opstand in Oekraïne, is mislukt. Rusland had als reactie De Krim moeten annexeren, immers daar bevinden zich haar enige jaarrond ijsvrije marinehavens (m.a.w: Rusland kon het zich niet veroorloven, deze havens verloren te laten gaan….)…. Het door internationale waarnemers goedgekeurde referendum in De Krim, gooide roet in het eten….. Het referendum in De Krim tot aansluiting bij Rusland, waarbij het overgrote deel van de bewoners van De Krim (inclusief de oorspronkelijke bevolking) koos voor aansluiting…….
Al moet ik daar onmiddellijk aan toevoegen, dat het merendeel van de politici en de reguliere media in het westen, simpelweg de leugen volhouden, dat Rusland De Krim heeft geannexeerd, alsof de wil van de bevolking daar er niet toe doet……… Waarmee men eventueel alsnog een oorlog kan starten tegen Rusland, al zou dat de zoveelste illegale oorlog zijn, die het westen onder leiding van de VS, uitvoert op basis van leugens………

Arms Sales Paint Chilling Picture of World at War
(ANTIMEDIA) Global
sales of major arms systems have risen over the past five years
to the highest volume since the end of the Cold War, according to
the Stockholm International Peace Institute’s (SIPRI) annual report
on arms sales.
SIPRI,
an international institute that researches “conflict,
armaments, arms control and disarmament,”
said on Monday that more weapons were delivered between 2012 and 2016
than any other five-year period since 1990. Between 2007–2011 and
2012–2016, arms imports by national governments in the Middle
East rose
by 86 percent.
“Saudi
Arabia, which leads a military intervention in Yemen that has costs
hundreds of civilian lives, was the world’s second largest importer
after India, increasing its intake by 212 %, mainly from the US and
the UK.”
However,
there are some issues with the Guardian’s
statement. First, according to
the U.N., well over 10,000 civilians have been killed, a staggering
difference when compared with the Guardian’s watered
down reference to “hundreds of civilians lives.” The vast
majority of these civilians have been killed directly by
the Saudi-led coalition. Second, the Saudi-led war can hardly be
called an intervention considering the brutal
and illegal nature of
the ongoing operation. The term “war of aggression” is more
appropriate.
As
a result of this cozy Saudi-U.S. relationship, Saudi arms imports
have tripled during the war in Yemen. The Obama administration sold
the oil-rich kingdom at least $115 billion worth of weapons,
as Anti-Media has
previously reported.

report concluded that Asia was the main recipient region in the
world. India was seen to have dwarfed its rivals, China and Pakistan,
by accounting for 13 percent of global imports. Most interesting,
however, is that India relies primarily on Russian imports as opposed
to NATO countries, further complicating alliances in the region.
Together,
the United States and Russia have supplied more than half of
all exports. Unsurprisingly, the United States continues to remain
the world’s biggest arms dealer.
Iran,
the country that has been vilified as the world’s biggest
sponsor of terrorism and
regional aggressor, received a mere 1.2 percent of the region’s
arms transfers. Conversely, arms imports into Qatar, alone, have
risen by 245 per cent.
As
a result of this cozy Saudi-U.S. relationship, Saudi arms imports

report’s damning conclusions reaffirm what many have been warning
about for some time now, includingformer
Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev: the whole world is preparing for

* De aanval op het Pentagon diezelfde dag, werd gepleegd met een raket en niet met een groot passagiersvliegtuig, zoals een enorm aantal deskundigen al hebben geconcludeerd, de schade zou met een passagiersvliegtuig veel groter zijn geweest. Bovendien heeft geen hond daar delen van een vliegtuig gezien……. Gistermiddag hoorde ik Boonman, de ‘politiek deskundige’, op Radio1 in EenVandaag. Viel midden in het gesprek en (als het ware) met m’n neus in de boter (gadver) toen ik Boonman hoorde zeggen: “ik zit 24 uur per dag in de verkiezingen”. Waarop hij vervolgde met te zeggen: “Ik probeer er wel wat voor te nemen, maar het lukt niet…” ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Ach, de arme grofgraaier en nitwit de luxe, begrijpt nog niet, dat je niet ongestraft amfetamine kan gebruiken, immers hoe kan hij anders 24 per dag werken???? Blijkbaar wilde hij zeggen, dat hij slaapmiddelen gebruikt, om zo alsnog aan nachtrust te komen. Maar ja, hij begreep onmiddellijk dat er mensen luisterden, die slaapmiddelen gebruiken, waarmee zelfs een paard onder zeil raakt!!
Of zou Boonman hiermee aan hebben willen geven, dat wanneer hij zo hard werkt, het niet anders kan, dan dat hij uiterst deskundig is…??? ………. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Na een fikse lachstuip hoorde ik Boonman nog opmerken, dat hij niet elke dag kijkt, maar dat ‘CDA TV’ (ha! ha! ha!) heel grappig is…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! Zoals u begrijpt, daarna kon je mij wegdragen beste bezoeker, jezus! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Allemachtig wat een ouwehoer, Ferry Mingelen mocht willen dat hij het ‘zo goed’ had gedaan, voor zijn (gelukkige) pensionering!!

Een paar dagen geleden plaatste ik een bericht over het offensief tegen het door ISIS bezette West-Mosul en het totaal ontbreken van beeldmateriaal en vooral het totale gebrek aan aandacht voor de meer dan 600.000 mensen die opgesloten zijn in dat deel van Mosul*.
Gisteren ontving ik een bericht van ANTIMEDIA, met dezelfde strekking. Met een paar grote uitzonderingen: zo spreekt de schrijver, Shahtahmasebi, die Oost-Aleppo vergelijkt met West-Mosul, over de systematische verschrikkingen, die de bevolking daar onderging door toedoen van het Syrische leger en de Russen…. Voor deze bewering is echter geen greintje bewijs, alles is van horen zeggen en toch berichtte de westerse media of ze deze zaken uit eigen ooggetuigen verslag hadden verkregen……
Voorts citeerde men o.a. SOHR (Syrian Observatory for Human Rights), een organisatie in Engeland bemenst en geleid door één persoon, een gewezen Syrische crimineel. De verslagen bleken telkens weer op leugens te berusten, maar dat was geen reden voor o.a. de BBC en de NOS de berichten van SOHR niet uit te zenden……….
Ook wordt er door Shahtahmasebi gesteld dat de verdedigers van Oost-Aleppo, de burgers niet gebruikten als menselijk schild. Dat is ronduit gelul van een dronken aardbei, dat deden de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters) nu juist wel!! Sterker nog de door het Syrische leger en Russen meermaals ingestelde corridors, waardoor de burgers van Oost-Aleppo konden vluchten, werden door deze ‘gematigde rebellen’ keer op keer onder vuur genomen. Ook werden burgers die probeerden te vluchten zonder pardon standrechtelijk geëxecuteerd, inclusief mee vluchtende familieleden (waar de leeftijd van de vluchtenden er niet toe deed…….)……
Eén ding is zeker: waar steden in Irak in het recente verleden werden ontzet ‘door het Iraakse leger’ (o.l.v. de VS), vonden gruwelijke oorlogsmisdaden plaats door deze coalitie, zoals in het geval van Fallujah en een eerdere strijd om Mosul in 2014….. Daarover gesproken: men stelde dat na de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo de mensenrechten op grote schaal werden geschonden door het Syrische leger, iets waar (alweer) geen bewijs voor werd geleverd, echter bij de ontzetting van Fallujah en andere steden, door ‘de Iraakse coalitie’ (in feite ‘de VS coalitie..’), werden er veel gruwelijkheden begaan op de bevolking die e.e.a. had overleefd……..

Civilians Trapped in US-Backed Siege of Mosul and Nobody Is Talking
About It
(ANTIMEDIA) Iraqi
forces, backed by American airpower, are set to launch a long-awaited
offensive to retake West Mosul. There are reportedly 3,000
ISIS fighters left defending their last major stronghold in Iraq, and
an estimated 650,000 civilians are trapped in the western-held area
of the city. The U.N. has warned that these civilians are at “extreme
risk,” with food, fuel, water, and electricity supplies extremely
scarce. Mosul, the third largest city in Iraq, has been under
siege by U.S.-backed forces in a months-long offensive to retake the
city from ISIS.
Given
a captured ISIS fighter admitted that
he raped over 200 women in Iraq, it makes sense to want to liberate a
city of civilians currently held hostage by the terror group.
However, the forces the Americans are backing to retake the Iraqi
city are reportedly no better. There have been numerous accounts
of documented
revenge acts committed
by the Shia-led militias against the local Sunni population.
Despite
this, the mainstream media presents the siege Mosul as a
legitimate military operation without question, especially when
compared to the media’s coverage of the battle for Aleppo in late
2016. As noted by
Patrick Cockburn in the Independent:
“But
look at how differently the international media is treating a similar
situation in Mosul, 300 miles east of Aleppo, where one million
people and an estimated 5,000 Isis fighters are being encircled by
the Iraqi army fighting alongside Kurdish Peshmerga and Shia and
Sunni paramilitaries and with massive support from a US-led air
campaign. In the case of Mosul, unlike Aleppo, the defenders are to
blame for endangering civilians by using them as human shields and
preventing them leaving. In East Aleppo, fortunately, there are no
human shields – though the UN says that half the civilian
population wants to depart – but simply innocent victims of Russian
savagery.”
Cockburn notes that the
media completely hyped up Russia’s destruction of Aleppo yet stayed
almost silent on the Iraqi city of Ramadi, which was “80
per cent destroyed by US-led air strikes in 2015.”
Still,
even these much-needed criticisms published in the mainstream media
do not counteract the corporate media’s almost wholehearted support
for American military might in the Middle East and its complete
distaste for Russia. Mainstream outlets hammered home the narrative
that Russia was pounding at least 250,000 civilians trapped in
Eastern Aleppo at the end of 2016. However, the media failed to
mention three crucial facts regarding this assessment: 1) The
majority of Aleppo’s population lived in government-controlled
areas of Aleppo,
which were subject to regular

2) The rebel groups that held Eastern Aleppo were all
affiliated with al-Qaeda and shared ISIS’ core belief system;
and 3) The New
York Times admitted the
figure of 250,000 civilians was a fabrication, as “some
groups say the population of eastern Aleppo is much lower, in the
tens of thousands.”
Following
the Aleppo offensive, the Syrian peace deal brokered without the
assistance of the United States has been said to hold “more than
previous ones,” according to
the U.N. envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura.

in my modest opinion, has – if we all look at it carefully and
support it – more chances to actually succeed than others,” de
Mistura also said.
ISIS
only exists in Iraq in
the first place because when the U.S. invaded in 2003, one of the
first things the top U.S. civilian administrator in Iraq, Paul
Bremer, chose to do was fire
an estimated350,000
to 400,000 soldiers simply
because they were part of Saddam Hussein’s Baathist party. These
soldiers went from being classified as secularist to fighting
alongside fanatical and radical ISIS members, including
holding high-ranking positions within ISIS’ ranks.
Not
only that, but when ISIS was taking over Mosul in 2014, the U.S.
air force was nowhere to be seen,
even as they captured massive amounts of American military equipment
and brandished it on social media. ISIS’ rise to power was
facilitated by the Obama administration, as leaked
audio of
former Secretary of State John Kerry addressing Syrian opposition
members revealed:
“And
we know that this was growing, we were watching, we saw that DAESH
[ISIS] was growing in strength, and we thought Assad was threatened.
(We) thought, however…We could probably manage that Assad might
then negotiate, but instead of negotiating he got Putin to support
him.”
In
short, U.S. policies put ISIS in Iraq to begin with. Then, when it
suited their warped foreign policy, they decided not to target ISIS
so its momentum could grow throughout the region. Even recently, as
ISIS fought
to retake Deir
ez-Zor in Syria, putting another 250,000 Syrian civilians at risk,
the American military and mainstream media stayed mostly silent. This
was an area in which the U.S. military did strike
in 2016, only to target
Syrian military forces embroiled
in a battle with ISIS.
As
Iraq is set to retake Mosul from ISIS with American assistance, it is
not clear whether the Iraqi people will receive the much-needed
break that they deserve.
Thankfully,
Iraq’s prime minister, Haidar al-Abadi, asked the
Iraqi armed forces to respect human rights during the battle and to
take care of those displaced by the fighting. It is unlikely such a
request would have any effect on rogue militias given that in the
past, the Shia-led militias have been barred
from entering certain cities due to the havoc they are known to
unleash.
Fortunately
for the Iraqi forces, they are fighting alongside the U.S. military,
so their crimes are likely to be swept under the rug by the
mainstream media (for
now, anyway).

Het onderwerp was het boek van Marc Josten, dat handelt over de omgang met elkaar. Josten is hoofdredacteur van Human (de omroep van het Humanistisch Verbond) en was eerder werkzaam voor de KRO……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, zo’n figuur moet je echt parachuteren bij Human!!
Uiteraard kwam ‘nepnieuws’ (of: ‘fake news’) dik aan bod…….
Je moet bij een krant nu eenmaal hoor en wederhoor doen, aldus van Weezel….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Alsof de reguliere media er niet ontiegelijk vaak naast zitten, zeker als het om heel belangrijke zaken gaat als oorlog. Neem de illegale oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië >> de reguliere media hebben niet anders gedaan dan de lezer, luisteraar en/of kijker leugens vertellen voorafgaande aan- en tijdens die oorlogen……. Nadat de feiten bekend worden, waaruit blijkt dat zo’n mediaorgaan leugens heeft herhaald, refereert men na verloop van tijd gewoon niet meer aan die leugens, die ten grondslag lagen aan die oorlog. Voorbeeld: neem de oorlog tegen Irak in 2003*, geen mediaorgaan dat nu zegt, dat men voor die oorlog was en alle leugens klakkeloos overnam en zoals gezegd, zelfs de leugens die deze oorlog moesten legitimeren, laat men het liefst links liggen……….
Helaas gaat men de laatste jaren nog veel verder bij de reguliere massamedia, men blijft zelfs de leugens herhalen, ook al zijn die al lang onderuitgehaald, neem de zogenaamde annexatie van De Krim………
Trouwens dat soort nepnieuws brengen blijkt pas echt gevaarlijk te zijn: op basis van die ‘annexatie’ is de NAVO bezig de lont in het kruitvat aan te steken, middels de bouw van militaire bases langs de grens met Rusland en de vrijwel continu voortdurende (peperdure) massa oefeningen langs diezelfde grens. Of neem het enorme aantal doden dat door het opvoeren van keiharde leugens is gevallen, zoals bij de illegale oorlog die G.W. Bush in 2003 begon tegen Irak, deze heeft intussen aan meer dan 1,5 miljoen Irakezen het leven gekost…..
De ‘journalisten’ in ‘Mediaforum’ begonnen nog even met de vieze vingers te wijzen naar ‘media organen uit Arabië’, waar men uiteraard Al Jazeera bedoelde en naar Rusland waar men RT plus Sputnik, noemde als brengers van nepnieuws….. Dit terwijl die mediaorganen het laatste jaar heel wat meer feitennieuws brachten dan de reguliere westerse media, neem de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo, zonder enig bewijs lepelden deze reguliere mediaorganen, de propaganda van de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters) op………. Kan me eigenlijk geen nepnieuws herinneren als ik aan Al Jazeera, RT of Sputnik denk
Ook het onderwijs kwam aan bod wat betreft feitenvrijheid, misschien wel belangrijker dan de media, aldus van Weezel. Was het maar waar dat men kinderen op school feiten zou leren, neem de geschiedenislessen en het enorme aantal flagrante leugens die daar te lezen zijn, neem in dit geval de familiestamboom van de Oranjes, waar geen barst van klopt, of het verheerlijken van moordenaars, brandschatters, plunderaars, opiumhandelaren en ga nog maar even door, zonder dat men de enorme misdaden noemt, die deze figuren begingen……
Uiteraard sprak men over een vak als maatschappijleer. Van Weezel noemde docenten, die het goed vinden, dat leerlingen er een andere mening op na houden, dat vindt hij te zot voor woorden…… Van Weezel begrijpt niet, dat bepaalde jongeren de oorlogen die de VS voert, terreur noemen…. Terreur waarvan zij dagelijks de gevolgen in beeld zien op zenders als Al Jazeera. Of wat dacht u van Israël dat keer op keer bloedbaden aanricht onder de bijkans machteloze Palestijnse bevolking….. Zijn dat geen feiten van Weezel??
Dan durfde van Weezel op te merken, dat de media tegenwoordig grossieren in meningen……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, van Weezel en weet je wie een goed en groot voorbeeld is op dat gebied…?? Juist jijzelf!!

Vandaag is het de tweede dag van het Irakees offensief (o.a. met steun van de VS) tegen West-Mosul.
Opvallend feit: je hoort niets over het enorme aantal slachtoffers, onder de meer dan 600.000 inwoners, dat daar moet zijn gevallen en valt…….
Heeft men telefoon en internet verkeer met en vanuit West-Mosul onmogelijk gemaakt??
Zojuist in het BBC World Service radioprogramma ‘Outside Source’, een volgens de presentator heel dappere correspondent, die embedded verslag doet van de strijd. Deze vertelde o.a. dat men zelfgefabriceerde raketten afschiet in het door IS bezette stadsdeel en steden, die voor dat deel van Mosul liggen………. Dat zijn dus geen ‘slimme raketten’ en o.a. daarmee zal een groot aantal burgerslachtoffers worden gemaakt……… Voorts zijn helikopter ‘warships’ bezig met bombardementen en beschietingen. Later werd er verteld over de straaljagers, die bezig zijn met bombardementen, al gebeurt dat vaak op aanvraag van troepen op de grond…….
Wat een verschil met Oost-Aleppo, daar wist men onder meer te melden dat er zo’n 100 ziekenhuizen werden geraakt, door het reguliere Syrische leger en de Russen. Dagelijks liepen de slachtoffers met tientallen, zo niet honderden tegelijk op…… Let wel: alles gebaseerd op van horen zeggen, o.a. van de SOHR, een ‘mensenrechtenorganisatie’, opgezet en bemenst door één uit Syrië gevluchte crimineel, die contact onderhield met de ‘gematigde oppositie’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters) in Oost-Aleppo. Ondanks dat de berichten van SOHR keer op keer niet klopten, bleef men deze fantast aanhalen als een betrouwbare bron…….
Wie geeft eindelijk de bevolking in West-Mosul een stem…?? Twee antwoorden op die vraag zijn zeker: niet het overgrote deel van de westerse politici, hetzelfde geldt voor de reguliere (massa-) media……
Dezelfde westerse politici en de reguliere media, die dagelijks zo’n grote bek hadden over het Syrische leger en de Russen, toen zij bezig waren Oost-Aleppo te bevrijden……. Nogmaals: meer dan 600.000 mensen zitten opgesloten in West-Mosul; het kan niet anders, dan dat daar enorm veel slachtoffers te betreuren zijn……
Rex Tillerson is de ex-topgraaier van ExxonMobil, u weet wel, het olie-maffia onderdeel dat fiks heeft bijgedragen aan de al bezig zijnde klimaatverandering en de enorme lucht-, grond- en watervervuiling. Gistermorgen was deze plork te horen op BBC World Service radio (na het nieuws van 1.00 u., CET).
De enorme hufter Tillerson, die door Trump werd gebombardeerd tot minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, liet weten, dat hij best goede banden met Moskou wil onderhouden, mits dit in het voordeel van de VS is!! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Alsof dat nieuw beleid is van de VS, deze vereniging van staten doet niet anders, dan de eigen belangen wereldwijd veilig te stellen! Als het nodig is, vermoord men daarvoor een groot deel van bevolkingen in landen waar deze grootste terreurentiteit tekeer gaat, zoals de Iraakse bevolking……..
De illegale oorlog tegen Irak (puur en alleen vanwege de olie gevoerd) heeft intussen aan meer dan 1,5 miljoen Irakezen het leven gekost en het land in een totale chaos gestort!! (het ontstaan van IS is een direct gevolg van de terreur die de VS op Irak heeft uitgeoefend en nog uitoefent) Overigens is Irak maar één van de 4 illegale oorlogen, die de VS alleen deze eeuw al is gestart……..
Eerder liet Tillerson op onbeschofte wijze weten, dat Rusland De Krim zou moeten teruggeven aan Oekraïne, wil het land ‘constructief’ met de VS samenwerken. Deze (kwaadaardige) psychopaat Tillerson vergeleek het innemen van De Krim met een mes in de rug steken…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Terwijl deze ploert moet weten, dat De Krim er zelf met een overgrote meerderheid voor koos om zich bij Rusland aan te sluiten, dit mede uit angst voor de neonazi-bataljons van de corrupte grofgraaier Porosjenko en zijn fascistische junta………*
Sterker nog: als er een ‘land’ is, dat een mes in de rug van een democratische regering(en) heeft gestoken, is dat de VS wel. Dit land heeft de opstand (die tot een coup moest leiden) in Oekraïne op poten gezet, gefinancierd (met 4 miljard dollar) en geregisseerd. De staatsgreep tegen de democratisch gekozen president Janoekovytsj, was niet de enige opzet voor die opstand: uiteraard wist de VS dat Rusland De Krim wilde behouden, vanwege haar enige jaarrond ijsvrije marinehavens op dat schiereiland. M.a.w. het was de bedoeling dat Rusland na de machtsovername door een anti-Russische regering, De Krim zou annexeren……..
Het door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk goedgekeurd referendum, waarin de bewoners, inclusief de oorspronkelijke bewoners, met grote meerderheid kozen voor aansluiting bij Rusland, gooide roet ‘in het vooruit bedachte VS eten……’ Vandaar ook dat de VS, plus zo ongeveer alle westerse politici en de reguliere (massa-) media, tot op de dag van vandaag de leugen volhouden dat Rusland De Krim annexeerde………
* De VS parachuteerde Porosjenko en zijn fascistische kliek, nadat de democratisch gekozen Viktor Janoekovytsj was verjaagd. Deze kliek werd een legitiem tintje aangemeten met verkiezingen, waarvan een heel groot deel van de bevolking werd buitengesloten……. Verkiezingen waaraan voorafgaand tegenstanders van Porosjenko werden bedreigd, mishandeld en soms zelfs vermoord. De vakbonden zijn verworden tot grote instituties waar kapitalen worden verspild en die nog amper van enige betekenis zijn. In de VS gaat men zover, dat kritische studenten worden weggezuiverd van de universiteiten……. Dig” – The four-decade-long assault on our democratic
institutions by corporations has left them weak and largely
dysfunctional. These institutions, which surrendered their efficacy
and credibility to serve corporate interests, should have been our
firewall. Instead, they are tottering under the onslaught.
Labor
unions are a spent force. The press is corporatized and distrusted.
Universities have been purged of dissidents and independent scholars
who criticize neoliberalism and
decry the decay of democratic institutions and political parties.
Public broadcasting and the arts have been defunded and left on life
support. The courts have been stacked with judges whose legal careers
were spent serving corporate power, a trend in appointments that
continued under Barack Obama. Money has replaced the vote, which is
how someone as unqualified as Betsy DeVos can buy herself a Cabinet
seat. And the Democratic Party, rather than sever its ties to Wall
Street and corporations, is naively waiting in the wings to profit
from a Trump debacle.
“The
biggest asset Trump has is the decadent, clueless, narcissistic,
corporate-indentured, war-mongering Democratic Party,” Ralph
Nader said when I reached him by phone in Washington. “If
the Democratic strategy is waiting for Godot, waiting for Trump to
implode, we are in trouble. And just about everything you say about
the Democrats you can say about the AFL-CIO.
They don’t control the train.”
The
loss of credibility by democratic institutions has thrust the country
into an existential as well as economic crisis. The courts,
universities and press are no longer trusted by tens of millions of
Americans who correctly see them as organs of the corporate elites.
These institutions are traditionally the mechanisms by which a
society is able to unmask the lies of the powerful, critique ruling
ideologies and promote justice. Because Americans have been bitterly
betrayed by their institutions, the Trump regime can attack the press
as the “opposition
party,” threaten to cut off university
funding, taunt a federal jurist as a “so-called
judge” and denounce
a court order as “outrageous.”
The
decay of democratic institutions is the prerequisite for the rise of
authoritarian or fascist regimes. This decay has given credibility to
a pathological liar. The Trump administration, according to an
Emerson College poll, is considered by 49 percent of registered
voters to be truthful while the media are considered truthful by only
39 percent of registered voters. Once American democratic
institutions no longer function, reality becomes whatever absurdity
the White House issues.
Most
of the rules of democracy are unwritten. These rules determine public
comportment and ensure respect for democratic norms, procedures and
institutions. President Trump has, to the delight of his supporters,
rejected this political and cultural etiquette.
Hannah
Arendt in “The Origins of Totalitarianism” noted that
when democratic institutions collapse it is “easier to accept
patently absurd propositions than the old truths which have become
pious banalities.” The chatter of the liberal ruling elites about
our democracy is itself an absurdity. “Vulgarity with its cynical
dismissal of respected standards and accepted theories,” she wrote,
infects political discourse. This vulgarity is “mistaken for
courage and a new style of life.”
“He
is destroying one code of behavior after another,” Nader said of
Trump. “He is so far getting away with it and not paying a price.
He is breaking standards of behavior—what he says about women,
commercializing the White House, I am the law.”
Nader
said he does not think the Republican Party will turn against Trump
or consider impeachment unless his presidency appears to threaten its
chances of retaining power in the 2018 elections. Nader sees the
Democratic Party as too “decadent and incompetent” to mount a
serious challenge to Trump. Hope, he said, comes from the numerous
protests that have been mounted in
the streets, at
town halls held by members of Congress and at flash points
such as Standing
Rock. It may also come from the 2.5 million civil servants within
the federal government if a significant number refuse to cooperate
with Trump’s authoritarianism.
“The
new president is clearly aware of the power wielded by civil
servants, who swear an oath of allegiance to the U.S. Constitution,
not to any president or administration,” Maria J. Stephan, the
co-author of “Why Civil Resistance Works,” writes
in The Washington Post. (WaPo) “One of Trump’s first acts as
president was a sweeping federal hiring freeze affecting all new and
existing positions except those related to the military, national
security and public safety. Even before Trump’s inauguration, the
Republican-controlled House of Representatives reinstated an obscure
1876 rule that would allow Congress to slash the salaries of
individual federal workers. This was a clear warning to those serving
in government to keep their heads down. Trump’s high-profile firing
of acting attorney general Sally Yates, who refused to follow the
president’s immigration ban, sent shock waves through the
bureaucracy.”
A
