Jemen: de vergeten genocide en haar kinderslachtoffers………

CounterPunch bracht afgelopen vrijdag een door Paul Street geschreven artikel over Jemen en het verschil in verontwaardiging en ondernomen acties tegen het scheiden van vluchtelingen en hun kinderen door de VS overheid…. Kinderen die families meenamen op hun vlucht voor een in een groot aantal gevallen geweld dat op de één of andere manier is verbonden met de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde >> de VS…. Dit afgezet tegen de ontbrekende aandacht voor het grote aantal kinderen dat al is omgekomen bij de door de VS en GB gesteunde genocide van de Saoedische coalitie op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen……..

Ongelofelijk dat men wel terecht flink pissig wordt over het afnemen van kinderen van hun ouders door de overheid van de VS, die deze kinderen heeft ontvoerd; terwijl men wegkijkt van een genocide aan de andere kant van de aarde, waar NB de VS meehelpt aan en de regie voert over een genocide, die volgens Save the Children alleen in 2017 al naar schatting aan zo’n 50.000 kinderen het leven moet hebben gekost…….. (ofwel vermoord door de Saoedische coalitie, de VS en Groot-Brittannië, de laatste heeft als de VS ook een fikse steen bijgedragen aan de massamoord in Jemen….)

Overigens schunnig ook dat de EU en Nederland nog steeds goede banden onderhouden met de (terroristische) reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië, om als Nederlander je ogen voor uit je hoofd te schamen……

Liberal Rallies Yet for the Children of Yemen

Hundreds
of thousands of people showed
up across the United States at more than 600 gatherings three
weeks ago. They came out to protest Donald
Trump‘s “zero
tolerance”
immigration policy in highly choreographed, Democratic
Party-affiliated “Families Belong Together” rallies and
marches. Liberal
celebrities marched
and spoke. Local, state, and federal Democratic Party politicians and
office-holders gave passionate speeches denouncing Trump’s
separation of Central American migrant children from their parents at
the southern U.S. border.

Marchers
carried signs expressing their concern for children and families.
Here are some of the messages
written on
the posters displayed at these gatherings:

“We
care”

“I
Raise my Voice Not so I can Shout but So that Those Without a Voice
Can be Heard”

“Do
All Lives Still Matter?”

“What
Would Mr. Rogers Say?”

“Compassion”

(The
issue that sparked this remarkable outpouring has already been pushed
off the front pages and the cable news headlines by the resurgent
RussiaGate story, brought to new intensity by Trump’s “spectacular
debacle”
alongside
Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. It is a victim of the
all-powerful “now we see you, now we don’t” U.S. news cycle –
this even as nearly
two-thirds of
the migrant children criminally separated have yet to be reunited
with their parents and as evidence emerges that the Trump
administration intended for the family separations to
be permanent.)

“Emaciated
Babies”: 50,000 Yemeni Children May Have Died in 2017

We
have yet to learn of any large and widespread U.S. demonstrations on
behalf of the children and families of Yemen, where the U.S. is
deeply complicit in the creation of a situation that “looks,” in
the words of the United Nations’ humanitarian chief, “like the
Apocalypse.” UNICEF
reported last
year that a child dies from preventable causes on the average of once
every 10 minutes in Yemen.

As
the Associated Press (AP) reported
last May,
roughly 3 million Yemeni women and children are “acutely
malnourished; another 400,000 children are fighting for their lives.”
Further:

“Nearly
a third of Yemen’s population — 8.4 million of its 29 million
people — rely completely on food aid or else they would starve.
That number grew by a quarter over the past year…Aid agencies warn
that parts of Yemen could soon start to see widespread death from
famine. More and more people are reliant on aid that is already
failing to reach people. …It is unknown how many have died, since
authorities are not able to track cases. Save the Children late last
year estimated that 50,000 children may have died in 2017 of extreme
hunger or disease (emphasis added), given that up to 30 percent of
children with untreated cases of severe acute malnutrition die.”

The
AP told the heartbreaking story of Umm Mizrah and her children,
tragic drops in the bucket of what could become one of the biggest
humanitarian catastrophes of the last half-century:

“The
young mother stepped onto the scale for the doctor. Even with all her
black robes on, she weighed only 84 pounds …The doctor’s office
is covered with dozens of pictures of emaciated babies who have come
through Al-Sadaqa Hospital in Aden …Mothers like Umm Mizrah…skip
meals, sleep to escape the gnawing in their stomachs. They hide bony
faces and emaciated bodies in voluminous black abaya robes and
veils…The doctor asked the mother to get back on the scale holding
her son, Mizrah. At 17 months, he was 5.8 kilograms (12.8 pounds) —
around half the normal weight for his age. He showed all the signs of
‘severe acute malnutrition,’ the most dire stage of hunger. His
legs and feet were swollen, he wasn’t getting enough protein. When
the doctor pressed a finger into the skin of his feet, the
indentation lingered.”

Things
have gotten worse in the last two and half months. According
to Lisa Grande,
head of the UN humanitarian effort in Yemen, “8.5 million people
that we describe as being pre-famine… when they wake up in the
morning, they have no idea if they will eat that day…by the end of
this year, another 10 million Yemenis will be in that situation.”

Two
and a half weeks ago, special PBS correspondent Jane
Ferguson related the
plight of Maimona Shaghadar, who “suffers the agony of starvation
in silence. No longer able to walk or talk, at 11 years old, little
Maimona’s emaciated body weighs just 24 pounds…Every day,” a
nurse told Ferguson in a remote Yemen hospital, medical personnel
“see these sorts of cases.”

Cholera,
a prominent 19th-century disease, has become epidemic there, thanks
to the collapse of water sanitation. Cholera has already killed
thousands of Yemeni civilians, children especially, and a million
Yemenis are currently infected. Yemen is now home to what
Ferguson calls “the
worst cholera outbreak in modern history. Now every time the rains
comes, people fall ill.”

“American
Made”

The
cause? In “mainstream” U.S. media, the Yemeni children and
families suffering this near “apocalypse” are victims of a
three-year-old war between Yemen’s Iran-backed Shiite Houthi rebels
who hold the country’s north, and a Saudi Arabian-led coalition,
armed and backed by the United States. But there is little evidence
of significant Iranian involvement in Yemen. The desperately poor
nation’s “civil war” is a remarkably one-sided affair in which
the world’s only Superpower (the United States) has been providing
critical support for what amounts to the crucifixion of millions of
innocent children and families. Combined with a vicious economic
blockade, the US-Saudi coalition’s relentless bombing campaign has
collapsed Yemen’s economy, leaving two-thirds of the population to
depend outside on food aid for survival. The air onslaughts have
devastated much of Yemen’s basic infrastructure so that more than
half the population lacks access to safe drinking water – the key
cause of the cholera epidemic. In a recent trip deep into Yemen’s
countryside, Ferguson found a Doctors Without Borders cholera
treatment center that had been crushed into rubble by a U.S.-Saudi
airstrike the day before – an obvious war crime. “It was just
about to open its doors to patients,” Ferguson reports.

Ferguson
spoke to Dr. Ali Al Motaa, a Yemeni college professor who did his
doctorate in the US. “The missiles that kill us,” Motaa said,
“American-made. The planes that kill us, American-made. The tanks,
Abrams, American-made. You are saying to me, where is America?
America is the whole thing.”

By
Ferguson’s account, from deep inside rebel-controlled territory:

“The
aerial bombing campaign has not managed to dislodge the rebels, but
has hit weddings, hospitals and homes. The U.S. military supports the
Saudi coalition with logistics and intelligence. The United States it
also sells the Saudis and coalition partners many of the bombs they
drop on Yemen. In the mountains outside the capital, we gained
exclusive access to the site where the Houthis store unexploded
American-made bombs, like this 2000-pound Mark 84 bomb made in
Garland, Texas. It landed in the middle of the street in the capital,
we are told.”

That
was before he U.S.-Saudi forces, with the Trump administration’s
approval, decided to launch an offensive
against the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah,
through which almost all the food and medicine coming into
Houthi-held Yemen passes. As Al
Jazeera reported three
days ago, the UN is warning that “the humanitarian crisis in Yemen
is worsening as tens of thousands of families are displaced by the
Saudi-UAE coalition offensive to retake the strategic port city….the
relentless air raids and lack of aid are making an already dire
humanitarian crisis even worse for the civilians who live in the
region….tens of thousands of families have been displaced from
Hodeidah as a result of the fierce fighting.

The
U.S. is involved in direct as well as indirect assault on Yemen.
Yemen was home to the first
known U.S. drone attack outside
Afghanistan in 2002. Hundreds of U.S. drone and other airstrikes have
targeted Yemen since
2009.

Trump
drew his first military blood in Yemen. U.S. Navy special forces
carried out a raid—planned by the Obama administration and handed
off to the incoming Trump team—that killed 25 civilians, including
10 children in the mountainous Yakla region of Yemen’s Al Bayda
province. One of the children killed was an 8-year-old
girl,
Nawar al-Awlaki, daughter of the Islamist preacher Anwar al-Awlaki,
who was killed on Barack Obama’s orders in a September 2011 U.S.
drone strike in Yemen. Nawar’s older brother, 16-year-old
Abdulrahman, was killed in a second Obama-commanded drone strike soon
afterward.

Trump’s
continuation of the U.S. slaughter of al-Awlaki’s children was
consistent with his campaign claim that he would kill the relatives
of terrorist suspects—a war crime. “The other thing with the
terrorists is you have to take out their families; when you get these
terrorists, you have to take out their families,” Trump pronounced
on Fox News in
December 2015.

A
PBS NewsHour report earlier this month describes the Yemen tragedy as
a “man-made” catastrophe. A more historically specific
characterization would be “Empire-made” or “Washington-made.”
As Bill Van Auken accurately
reported on
the World Socialist Web Site five weeks ago:

“This
total war against an entire population…would be impossible without
the uninterrupted support—military and political—of US
imperialism since its outset…The US, together with its main NATO
allies the UK and France, has supplied the planes, warships, bombs,
missiles and shells used to devastate Yemen and slaughter its people.
In his eight years in office, President Barack Obama presided over
some $115 billion in arms sales to the monarchical dictatorship in
Riyadh. The Trump administration, which has sought to forge an
anti-Iran axis with Saudi Arabia, the other reactionary Gulf oil
sheikhdoms and Israel, has touted arms deals with Riyadh that
potentially would amount to $110 billion.”

“The
Pentagon has given direct and indispensable aid to the Saudi-led
onslaught, providing midair refueling for the planes that bomb Yemeni
civilians, staffing a joint command center in Riyadh with US
intelligence and logistics officers and reinforcing the Saudi-UAE
blockade of the country with American warships. Recently, US Green
Berets have been deployed with Saudi ground forces to assist in their
anti-Yemen operations. Under the banner of the ‘war on terror,’
the Pentagon is waging its own air war in Yemen, conducting at least
130 air and drone strikes in 2017, quadruple the number in 2016…The
Trump administration gave the go-ahead for the current siege of
Hodeidah Pentagon officials have reported that US officers are
helping to select targets in the port city.”

Historical
Continuities

The
Trump administration’s funding and equipping of the savage war on
Yemen shares three key characteristics with the “zero tolerance”
immigration policy that Trump was recently forced to (partially and
haltingly) rescind. First, it unconscionably uses innocent children
and families as hostages and pawns in the advance of White House
policy goals.

Second,
it is richly consistent with U.S. policy stretching far back in
history (see
this on
the long U.S. record of family separation and
thison
the long U.S. history of directly and indirectly attacking and
killing children and other civilians in foreign nations).

Third,
it is consistent with Barack Obama’s record. The Obama
administration backed the
Saudi-led Arab assault on Yemen. It also (as few marching against
Trump’s border policy seem to know or care) responded to Central
American migration and asylum-seeking with a policy of aggressive
deterrence and detention – a
policy that included the caging of children.

Why
No Mass Marches for Yemeni Children?

Clearly
the murder of tens of thousands of (Yemeni) children is a bigger
crime than the undoubted transgression of traumatically if (hopefully
temporarily) separating 2300 Central American children form their
migrant parents. Why don’t hundreds of thousands of U.S.-Americans
march on behalf of Yemeni children and families killed, maimed,
starved, sickened, and otherwise placed at grave risk by Washington
and its Arab allies?

Differences
of geographical proximity and familiarity are part of the
explanation. Equally if not more significant: the dominant U.S
media’s systematic under-reporting of U.S, imperial aggression in
the Middle East; that media’s portrayal of is the Yemen war as a
regional Sunni-Shia and Saudi-Iranian conflict in which the U.S. is
only peripherally involved; the Yemeni victims’ status as Muslim
Others who are linked in the dominant U.S. media and politics culture
with the officially U.S,- and Israel-demonized state of Iran (a
nation that all too unmentionably looks like a model of democracy,
social justice, and women’s rights in comparison to its regional
arch-enemy and Washington’s “good friend” the absolutist and
arch-reactionary state of Saudi Arabia). For these and other reasons,
the Democratic Party establishment sees no political advantage in
confronting Trump on U.S. Yemen policy, a policy in which both
reigning U.S. political parties are deeply complicit.

VS senator Rand Paul stelt n.a.v. NAVO-top dat men de zaak moet bekijken vanuit het Russische perspectief

Vorige week donderdag stelde senator Ron Paul dat men even moet nadenken voor de
NAVO lidstaten, inclusief de VS, Trumps dictaten uitvoeren. Dictaten
als wat de NAVO lidstaten te doen staat en wat de NAVO moet zijn in de (nabije) toekomst, dit n.a.v. de NAVO-top die vorige week plaatsvond.

In een artikel op USA Today wijst Paul op de belangen van Rusland en probeert dit te doen door erop te
wijzen dat men e.e.a. door een Russische bril moet bekijken, ofwel te
denken aan het Russisch perspectief aangaande de NAVO acties, zoals de ongebreidelde expansie van de NAVO richting Moskou…….. Een
uitbreiding die bovendien ook nog eens volkomen in tegenspraak is met
de afspraak die de VS maakte met Sovjet president Gorbatsjov in
1991…… Paul stelt geheel terecht (al is het een cliché van hier
tot Timboektoe) dat actie reactie uitlokt……

Paul stelde verder dat men in de VS eerdere jaren een robuust en bedachtzaam debat
voerde over diplomatie, dit om oorlogen te vermijden…….. ha! ha! ha!
ha! ha! ha! ha! Ik vrees dat Paul een alien is en ‘niet helemaal
begrijpt’ waarvoor de VS staat en dat al vanaf de oprichting van deze
vereniging van terreurstaten en dat is…. oorlogvoeren!! Als dit
gestolen land ook maar de idee heeft dat haar belangen worden
geschaad (of die van haar grote bedrijven, multinationals en
olie-industrie) start het de zoveelste illegale oorlog, wel of niet voorafgegaan door een economische oorlog, het organiseren van een opstand die tot een staatsgreep moet leiden, of botweg zo’n staatsgreep uitvoeren….. Waar ik nog geheime militaire operaties van de VS in een groot aantal landen vergeet te vermelden, acties georganiseerd en geregisseerd door de CIA…….

De
agressieve acties van de VS (en die van de NAVO dat in feite wordt
geleid door de VS) leiden niet tot meer veiligheid in de VS, zoals de politiek en de reguliere media in de VS keer op keer hardop liegen….. Integendeel, veel van de acties brengen de VS juist in gevaar (denk
bijvoorbeeld aan een kernoorlog, die niemand kan winnen en toch denkt
men er hard over na er één te beginnen, sterker nog: ‘vredesduif’ Obama, Hillary Clinton, Trump en de Britse
premier May hebben gezegd, niet uit te sluiten om als eerste kernwapens in
te zetten (tijdens een op handen zijnd ‘conflict’)……..

Whether or not to expand
NATO is a question that deserves debate. Would it help or hurt U.S.
national security?

Does adding countries
such as Albania and Montenegro increase our security or ensnare us in
possible regional disputes? Are we willing to risk war with Russia by
including countries that already are mired in military conflict with
Russia?

To understand what NATO
expansion does to our relations with Russia, one must at least be
aware of Russia’s perspective. Such awareness does not mean we
agree with their point of view, but rather that we are aware our
actions lead to reactions, and that NATO expansion does not occur in
a vacuum.

We once had robust and
thoughtful debate in our country over diplomacy and our desire to
avoid war. Both parties now tend to shake their fists and declare to
our adversaries: “Take this sanction.” “Take this expansion of
NATO.” “Take this travel restriction” — under the misguided
notion our unilateral actions will lead to capitulation.

Instead, we’ve often
seen rising tensions, increased nationalism and a ratcheting up of a
Cold War-like fever.

There was a time when
many cautioned against reckless expansion.

OUR
VIEW: Donald
Trump’s tirades weaken NATO and please Vladimir Putin

Perhaps the most famous
diplomat of the last century, George Kennan, wrote that NATO
expansion would be a “fateful error” that would “inflame the
nationalistic, anti-Western and militaristic tendencies in Russian
opinion” and “restore the atmosphere of the cold war to East-West
relations.”

Similarly, Daniel L.
Davis, retired lieutenant colonel with Defense Priorities, said,
“Extending NATO membership to Georgia — or Ukraine, as others
advocate — in no way strengthens U.S. security, but rather
unequivocally increases America’s strategic risk.”

I prefer we think of our
interests first, and that the U.S. Senate return to being a
deliberative body on foreign policy, where ideas are considered, and
dissent is heard and debated.

Sen.
Rand Paul, R-Ky., serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He was one of two senators who opposed Tuesday’s nonbinding motion
to support and expand NATO.

Trump die zwaar onder druk ligt in de VS vanwege zijn gesprek met Putin, had gisteren het gore lef te zeggen dat hij zich versproken had toen hij stelde dat ook een ander de VS verkiezingen kan hebben gemanipuleerd……

Trump liet weten dat hij het woord ‘would’ had gebruikt waar het had moeten zijn: ‘wouldn’t….’ Ofwel hij vroeg zich eerder af waarom het de Russen zouden zijn, die de verkiezingen hadden gemanipuleerd, ‘waar hij bedoelde’: waarom zouden het de Russen niet geweest zijn, die de verkiezingen hebben gemanipuleerd…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Tja als je de dodelijke belangen van de democraten, republikeinen (die beiden vooral goed zijn in liegen), de doodsindustrie aangeduid als wapenindustrie (die samen met het Pentagon worden aangeduid als militair-industrieel complex in de VS) voor de voeten loopt, zijn de rapen gaar……

Mensen, hoe is het mogelijk dat men in de westerse wereld moord en brand schreeuwt, daar Putin en Trump de spanningen tussen Rusland en de VS uit de lucht proberen te halen…??

Wil men zo graag oorlog, of een voortbestaan van de koude oorlog, zaken waar werkelijk niemand beter van wordt??

Op Radio1, BNR, VRT (radio) 1, WDR en BBC vanmorgen de ene na de andere oorlogshitser, die schande sprak van de ontmoeting tussen Putin en Trump……. Deze reguliere media die het woord complottheorie te onpas en te onpas gebruiken, hebben nu geen moeite de ene na de andere samenzweringstheorie te lanceren, zo zou Putin Trump in de hand hebben, zou Putin een geheim van Trump weten en hem daarmee chanteren, om er een paar te noemen….

Uiteraard haalt men alle fake news (nepnieuws) van stal: de Russen zouden voor de winst van Trump tijdens de VS presidentsverkiezingen hebben gezorgd, middels het hacken van computers en documenten te lekken….. Niet dat daar ook maar één bewijs voor is geleverd, ook voor de laatste beschuldigingen van Mueller aan het adres van de Russen, is niet een flinter van bewijs gegeven….. (en dat zal zo blijven) Een correspondent van WDR durfde zelfs te beweren dat hij een stapel aan bewijzen had gezien voor de beschuldigingen van Mueller aan het adres van 12 Russische inlichtingenofficieren, als zouden zij de computer van Podesto, de rechterhand van Clinton tijdens de verkiezingscampagne, hebben gehackt……. Dit terwijl ook deze ‘bewijzen’ niet openbaar kunnen worden gemaakt, daar ze anders ‘een gevaar voor de VS staatsveiligheid’ zouden vormen…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Scala is een programma op WDR 5 en in dat programma werd een goed uur geleden door een presentator gezegd dat Trump Putin gelooft met diens bewering dat Rusland geen hand had in de manipulatie van de VS presidentsverkiezingen, de presentator deed dit op een smalende manier, daar Putin dit gezegd zou hebben, terwijl voor deze zaak zoals gezegd geen flinter bewijs ligt…… Als deze presentator z’n werk had gedaan, had hij zelf deze conclusie kunnen trekken…. Ook de annexatie van De Krim werd door deze presentator gehekeld, terwijl het volk van De Krim, in een door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk en goed beoordeeld referendum besloot zich aan te sluiten bij Rusland en niet langer te willen leven onder de corrupte neonazi-junta van Porosjenko, een junta die één op één door de VS in het zadel werd geholpen……

De reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van westerse politici hebben geen moeite met een illegale oorlog meer of minder aangegaan door de VS, sterker nog men verdedigt zelfs de leugens die de VS gebruikt om een land naar god te bombarderen…….

Vanmorgen na 9.30 u. op Radio1, hare kwaadaardigheid Salemon, naast alle leugens over Rusland stelde ze dat het economisch slecht gaat met Rusland, terwijl Rusland het ene contract na het andere afsluit met niet-westerse landen en het ondanks de westerse sancties economisch redelijk goed gaat met Rusland…. Dat laatste, het afsluiten van overeenkomsten en contracten met niet westerse landen en de grote bedrijven daar, is ook van toepassing op het volgende wat Salemon aan haar woorden toevoegde: Putin is geïsoleerd…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Tja dat krijg je als je het westen als heel de wereld ziet! (jezus!) Ook zwetskop en grofgraaier Charles Groenhuijsen mocht heel dapper laten horen wat hij aan kronkels in de kop heeft als het om Rusland, Putin of Trump gaat…..

Op BNR was vanmorgen na 8.30 u. VS ‘deskundige’ Diederik Brink te horen, deze huis, tuin en keukenpsycholoog stelde dat Trump maar slapjes stond naast Putin en zo stelde Brink, het lijkt erop dat hij werkelijk gelooft op eigen kracht in het Witte Huis te zijn gekomen…… ha! ha! ha! ha! Zie het voorgaande, bovendien is de smerige campagne die Clinton voerde de oorzaak voor haar verlies, een smerige campagne die men in de schoenen van de Russen wil schuiven, nogmaals: zonder dat er ook maar een flinter aan bewijs werd geleverd……. Terwijl er een fiks aantal documenten liggen, die duidelijk maken dat er vanuit de DNC is gelekt naar de pers, daar er nog een paar medewerkers waren die het niet eens waren met het smerige spel van Clinton……

Voor het tegenovergestelde, dus dat de VS elders: -verkiezingen manipuleert (ook middels hacken, zie Vault 7 en 8 documenten op WikiLeaks), -opstanden organiseert, -staatsgrepen regisseert dan wel uitvoert, -verdachten en niet verdachten massaal vermoordt middels drones, -met geheime CIA/leger acties, een groot aantal mensen vermoordt en -illegale oorlogen begint, liggen er wel een enorm aantal bewijzen (veelal officiële documenten van de VS en alweer >> vaak te vinden op WikiLeaks…)….

Brink was één van de figuren die beweerde dat Rusland waarschijnlijk zaken van Trump weet waarmee het Trump onder druk zou hebben gezet……. Volgens Brink komen er in de VS dagelijks schandalen bij, waaronder hij ook de lariekoek van Mueller verstaat……

Overbodig te melden dat men vanmorgen tijdens deze anti-Russische propaganda keer op keer vlucht MH17 aanhaalde, terwijl het hele onderzoek naar het neerhalen van MH17 een farce is >> ondanks alle belachelijke beschuldigingen aan het adres van Rusland, liggen er meer dan voldoende bewijzen die in de richting van de VS en Oekraïne wijzen……

Om een paar zaken te noemen: waarom week vlucht MH17 op 17 juli 2014 van het normale ‘vliegpad’ af en vloog men over oorlogsgebied? Hoe is het mogelijk dat een land al haar radarposten op dezelfde dag uitschakelt, zoals Oekraïne op 17 juli 2014 heeft gedaan, vandaag precies 4 jaar geleden? Wie had er belang bij het neerhalen van MH17? (Niet Rusland noch de opstandelingen tegen de Oekraïense dictatuur) Waarom mocht Maleisië niet meewerken aan het onderzoek, omdat het ‘de Rusland is schuldig doctrine’ niet geloofde? Naar aanleiding van een eerder artikel van Caitlin Johnstone*, waarin ze op de nieuwe beschuldigingen aan het adres van Rusland ingaat en terecht wijst op het feit dat deze beschuldigingen wel heel toevallig net voor de top tussen Putin en Trump werden gepubliceerd, heeft ze het hieronder opgenomen artikel geschreven.

Men kan er maar geen genoeg van krijgen in de VS (en de rest van het westen): Rusland demoniseren op basis van… Ja, waarvan? ‘Simpel’: op basis van bewijzen die helaas voor iedereen geheim moeten blijven……** ha! ha! ha! ha! Nu zouden 12 Russische officieren de computers van Clinton (of eigenlijk van haar rechterhand Podesta) hebben gehackt en documenten hebben doorgespeeld aan Wikileaks……. Zoals de ‘overtuigende bewijsvoering’ bij de eerdere beschuldigingen aan het adres van Rusland, ook daar mochten we niet weten wat die ‘bewijzen’ zijn en waaruit de ‘overtuigende bewijsvoering’ is opgebouwd……

Caitlin Johnstone geeft in het hierna opgenomen artikel aan welke 5 feiten voor haar voldoende zouden zijn om op de ‘Russische-hysterie trein’ van de VS te springen…….

Feilloos geeft Johnstone aan waar de schoen wringt, al moet ik zeggen dat er nog wel meer redenen zijn waarom deze door de geheime diensten van de VS, met hulp van de democraten en de reguliere media gefabriceerde Rusland-hysterie totaal ongeloofwaardig is. (zelfs Nederland is aangestoken…. ha! ha! ha! ha! Als je gelooft dat Rusland zelfs maar moeite zou doen om de boel hier te beïnvloeden, ben je echt voor eeuwig de weg kwijt! Vanmorgen werd toevallig gemeld dat 900 retweets van een ‘Russische trollenfabriek’ [ha! ha! ha!] met racistisch commentaar hier de boel negatief zou hebben beïnvloed…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Knettergek!!)

Terecht wijst Johnstone overigens op het feit dat uit overheidsdata blijkt dat de VS zelf van 1946 tot het jaar 2000 in 81 landen de verkiezingen heeft gemanipuleerd, zelfs in Rusland, een publiek feit….. Zo bezien kan de VS als wraak van die landen nog wel een 70 tal verkiezingsmanipulaties verzinnen………

Bovendien, als er nu één ding is waar de geheime diensten van de VS (en intussen ook de massamedia) goed in zijn, is het wel in glashard liegen, zo merkt Johnstone alweer volkomen terecht op.

Five Things That Would Make The CIA/CNN Russia Narrative More Believable

As we just discussed, some major news stories have recently dropped about what a horrible horrifying menace the Russian Federation is to the world, and as always I have nothing to offer the breathless pundits on CNN and MSNBC but my completely unsatisfied skepticism. My skepticism of the official Russia narrative remains so completely unsatisfied that if mainstream media were my husband I would already be cheating on it with my yoga instructor.

I do not believe the establishment Russia narrative. I do not believe that Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government to rig the 2016 election. I do not believe the Russian government did any election rigging for Trump to collude with. This is not because I believe Vladimir Putin is some kind of blueberry-picking girl scout, and it certainly isn’t because I think the Russian government is unwilling or incapable of meddling in the affairs of other nations to some extent when it suits them. It is simply because I am aware that the US intelligence community lies constantly as a matter of policy, and because I understand how the burden of proof works.

At this time, I see no reason to espouse any belief system which embraces as true the assertion that Russia meddled in the 2016 elections in any meaningful way, or that it presents a unique and urgent threat to the world which must be aggressively dealt with. But all the establishment mouthpieces tell me that I must necessarily embrace these assertions as known, irrefutable fact. Here are five things that would have to change in order for that to happen:

The first step to getting a heretic like myself aboard the Russia hysteria train would be the existence of publicly available evidence of the claims made about election meddling in 2016, which rises to the level required in a post-Iraq invasion world. So far, that burden of proof for Russian hacking allegations has not come anywhere remotely close to being met.

How much proof would I need to lend my voice to the escalation of tensions between two nuclear superpowers? Mountains. I personally would settle for nothing less than hard proof which can be independently verified by trusted experts like the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity.

Is that a big ask? Yes. Yes it is. That’s what happens when government institutions completely discredit themselves as they did with the false narratives advanced in the manufacturing of support for the Iraq invasion. You don’t get to butcher a million Iraqis in a war based on lies, turn around a few years later and say “We need new cold war escalations with a nuclear superpower but we can’t prove it because the evidence is secret.” That’s not a thing. Copious amounts of hard, verifiable proof or GTFO***. So far we have no evidence besides the confident-sounding assertions of government insiders and their mass media mouthpieces, which is the same as no evidence.

2. Proof that election meddling actually influenced the election in a meaningful way.

Even if Russian hackers did exfiltrate Democratic party emails and give them to WikiLeaks, if it didn’t affect the election, who cares? That’s a single-day, second-page story at best, meriting nothing beyond a “Hmm, interesting, turns out Russia tried and failed to influence the US election,” followed by a shrug and moving on to something that actually matters.

After it has been thoroughly proven that Russia meddled in the elections in a meaningful way, it must then be established that that meddling had an actual impact on the election results.

3. Some reason to believe Russian election meddling was unwarranted and unacceptable.

The US government, by a very wide margin, interferes in the elections of other countries far, far more than any other government on earth does. The US government’s own data shows that it has deliberately meddled in the elections of 81 foreign governments between 1946 and 2000, including Russia in the nineties. This is public knowledge. A former CIA Director cracked jokes about it on Fox News earlier this year.

If I’m going to abandon my skepticism and accept the Gospel According to Maddow****, after meaningful, concrete election interference has been clearly established I’m going to need a very convincing reason to believe that it is somehow wrong or improper for a government to attempt to respond in kind to the undisputed single worst offender of this exact offense. It makes no sense for the United States to actively create an environment in which election interference is something that governments do to one another, and then cry like a spanked child when its election is interfered with by one of the very governments whose elections the US recently meddled in.

This is nonsense. America being far and away the worst election meddler on the planet makes it a fair target for election meddling by not just Russia, but every country in the world. It is very obviously moral and acceptable for any government on earth to interfere in America’s elections as long as it remains the world’s worst offender in that area. In order for Russia to be in the wrong if it interfered in America’s elections, some very convincing argument I’ve not yet heard will have to be made to support that case.

If all the Russians did was simply show Americans emails of Democratic Party officials talking to one another and circulate some MSM articles as claimed in the ridiculous Russian troll farm allegations, that’s nothing to get upset about. After it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Russia did indeed meddle in the US elections in a meaningful way, and after it has then been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Russia actually influenced election results in a significant way, and after the case has been clearly made that it was bad and wrong for Russia to do this instead of fair and reasonable, and after it has been clearly proven that the election meddling went beyond simply telling Americans the truth about their government, the question then becomes what, if anything, should be done about it?

If you look at the actions that this administration has taken over the last year and a half, the answer to that question appears to be harsh sanctions, NATO expansionism, selling arms to Ukraine, throwing out diplomats, increasing military presence along Russia’s border, a Nuclear Posture Review which is much more aggressive toward Russia, repeatedly bombing Syria, and just generally creating more and more opportunities for something to go catastrophically wrong with one of the two nations’ aging, outdated nuclear arsenals, setting off a chain of events from which there is no turning back and no surviving.

And the pundits and politicians keep pushing for more and more escalations, at this very moment braying with one voice that Trump must aggressively confront Putin about Mueller’s indictments or withdraw from the peace talks. But is it worth it? Is it worth risking the life of every terrestrial organism to, what? What specifically would be gained that makes increasing the risk of nuclear catastrophe worthwhile? Making sure nobody interferes in America’s fake elections? I’d need to see a very clear and specific case made, with a ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ list and “THE POTENTIAL DEATH OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING” written in big red letters at the top of the ‘cons’ column.

Rallying the world to cut off Russia from the world stage and cripple its economy has been been a goal of the US power establishment since the collapse of the Soviet Union, so there’s no reason to believe that even the people who are making the claims against Russia actually believe them. The goal is crippling Russia to handicap China, and ultimately to shore up global hegemony for the US-centralized empire by preventing the rise of any rival superpowers. The sociopathic alliance of plutocrats and intelligence/defense agencies who control that empire are willing to threaten nuclear confrontation in order to ensure their continued dominance. All of their actions against Russia since 2016 have had everything to do with establishing long-term planetary dominance and nothing whatsoever to do with election meddling.

Those five things would need to happen before I’d be willing to jump aboard the “Russia! Russia!” train. Until then I’ll just keep pointing to the total lack of evidence and how very, very far the CIA/CNN Russia narrative is from credibility.

De
psychopaat Trump heeft ‘t voor elkaar gekregen, de NAVO lidstaten
stemden min of meer in met zijn nieuwe eis (althans men ‘durfde’, of beter gezegd men wilde daar niets tegen inbrengen), dat de leden minstens 4%
van het bruto binnenlands product (BBP) moeten uitgeven aan
~~defensie~~ uh oorlogsvoering. Merkel die nogal werd geschoffeerd
door Trump zou schoorvoetend akkoord zijn gegaan met de 4% eis van
Trump…… (al zal het nog vele jaren duren voordat het zover is, een tijdstip waarop Merkel al lang afgeserveerd zal zijn als premier…)

De VS is momenteel minstens in 4 oorlogen verwikkeld, heeft meer dan 800 bases over de wereld, vermoord verdachten middels een groot aantal drone aanvallen (waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens verdacht is), is doende met een ruimteschild en heeft bovendien een paar raketbases in Oost-Europa en Oost-Azië gebouwd….. Waarom zouden we ons daar in godsnaam mee moeten meten? Wat is dit voor kul? De politici en media die je vertellen dat wij meer moeten uitgeven aan defensie weten dit dondersgoed, kortom je wordt belazerd waar je bij staat*!

Uit
onderzoek blijkt nu dat een meerderheid van de Duitse bevolking de
zogenaamde Amerikanen in het land, maar liefst al meer dan 73 jaar
aanwezig met nu naar schatting (!!) rond de 35.000 militairen, als de bliksem terugkeren
naar hun eigen land. Daar zou ik me graag bij aansluiten vandaar dit cliché: Yankee go home! (and never return!)

Webb, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel stelt dat er
bijna 35.000 VS militairen in Duitsland zijn. Echter dat is maar zeer
de vraag, daar het Pentagon daar geen uitspreken meer over wenst te doen en als
men het daar nodig acht, zelfs zonder inmenging van de Trump
administratie en controle van de senaat plus het huis van
afgevaardigden, naar eigen goeddunken extra militairen mag inzetten
waar men het nodig acht…….

Trump
zou verbaasd zijn geweest over het grote aantal militairen in
Duitsland en overwogen hebben een groot aantal van hen terug te
roepen….. Echter dat is zeer tegen de wil van het Pentagon en Webb
vermoedt dan ook dat dit een strategie is van Trump om druk op de
ketel te houden….. Lullig dan voor Merkel en haar regering dat de
meerderheid van de Duitsers tegen aanwezigheid van de VS militairen in eigen
land is en een meerderheid van de Duitsers zelfs tegen verdere
verhogingen van de budgetten voor het militarisme is, militarisme dat
de laatste 17 jaar weer in volle stinkende glorie is hersteld, met in
het Midden-Oosten de vreselijke massamoorden van dien: deze eeuw al meer dan
2 miljoen vermoorde slachtoffers door de grootscheepse VS
terreur……..

4% van het BBP zodat Trump mooi het dodelijk speelgoed van zijn wapenindustrie kan slijten aan leeghoofdige NAVO lidstaten, zoals Nederland, dat zo tuk is op de EU, vervolgens geen EU straaljager kocht, maar er één uit de VS aanschafte >> de JSF…… De JSF van Lockheed Martin mag volgens de huidige maatstaven niet eens straaljager genoemd worden, daar de JSF (of F-35 Lightning II, kortweg F-35) niet voldoet aan de normen daarvoor….. Zo stijgt, klimt en rent dit peperdure onding niet snel genoeg, het kan zich nog net meten met de A-10 Thunderbolt uit de 70er jaren…… Rusland heeft het stealth systeem van het straalvliegtuig gekraakt en de Chinezen hebben een paar jaar geleden al een blauwdruk van dit onding weten te bemachtigen…… Tot slot: de JSF kan niet gebruikt worden als de VS het niet eens is met het doel voor de inzet, het Pentagon kan beslissen op afstand de toestellen aan de grond te houden……. Degenen die voor de JSF hebben gelobbyd en dan bedoel ik de politici (van VVD, CDA, PvdA, D66 en ‘Christen’Unie) en legertop zouden strafrechtelijk vervolgd moeten worden voor het misleiden van het volk en het in een diepe donkere put donderen van miljarden aan belastinggeld……. (en maar zeiken om meer geld voor ‘defensie….’) Overigens is het wel zeker dat deze lobbyisten t.z.t. beloond zullen worden, even wachten tot men uit de ‘publieke kijker’ is (dus een paar jaar na de militaire of politieke loopbaan), ofwel hier is ook nog eens sprake van omkoping ofwel corruptie…..

Actually Want US Troops to Get the Hell Out of Their Country

(MPN) — After
over 70 years, Germans have apparently had enough of the U.S. troop
presence in their country, the second largest presence of U.S. troops
abroad after Japan. According to a YouGov poll conducted by
Germany’s DPA news
agency, 42% of Germans support a complete withdrawal of U.S. troops
in the country with 37% of Germany wanting them to stay and 21%
undecided. Currently, Germany hosts close
to 35,000 U.S. soldiers and between 30 and 40 U.S. military bases.

The
poll also found that support for withdrawal came from across the
German political spectrum.

For
instance, 67% of voters from the left-wing Die Linke party were found
to support a U.S. troop withdrawal while 55% of the far-right,
nationalist AfD party also expressed support for their removal. The
Green party of Germany also backed withdrawal by 48%. Support was
lowest among voters of the CDU party, the political party of German
Chancellor Angela Merkel, at 35%.

Other
findings from the poll show that there is little popular support
among Germans for militarism in general, but particularly U.S.
President Donald Trump’s recent
demand that
NATO members such as Germany work to increase their military spending
to a new target of 4% of national GDP. Some German political
analysts have
asserted that
Trump’s demand is aimed at increasing European purchases of
U.S.-manufactured weapons systems.

On
this point, however, the poll found that only 15% of Germans support
increasing military spending to just 2% of GDP. Furthermore, 36% of
Germans feel that the country already spends too much on military
spending. Yet, despite the lack of support for increasing military
spending among Germans, Merkel stated on
Thursday that, after a “very fundamental” discussion during the
recent and “very intense” NATO summit, Germany must spend more on
NATO defense.

Even
though he has pushed Germany and other NATO countries to push for
increased military spending despite a lack of popular support, Trump
could still prove an unlikely ally for Germans eager to see at least
a reduction in the number of U.S. troops stationed throughout the
country.

Indeed,
just two weeks ago, Trump was
allegedly very surprised to
learn the high number of American soldiers stationed in Germany.
According to a
report in
the Washington
Post,
Trump’s surprise prompted him to ask the Department of Defense to
analyze the feasibility of conducting a large-scale withdrawal or
transfer of the U.S. troop presence stationed in Germany.

However,
U.S. government officials have seemed to have talked Trump out of
actually taking action on a withdrawal of troops from Germany.
Notably, U.S. military officials, such as retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges
who commanded U.S. Army Europe until late last year, have
asserted that
any reduction in the U.S. military presence in Germany would be a
“colossal mistake.” Hodges further claimed that Russia,
particularly Russian President Vladimir Putin, would emerge the “big
winner” and that any reduction of the American military presence in
Germany would “embolden Russia in terms of its adventurist,
intimidating foreign policy.” In an
interview with Stars
and Stripes,
he also expressed confidence that Trump’s suggestion of a troop
withdrawal was just a negotiating tactic and that “Pentagon
planners would agree to keep troop levels in Germany on the current
scale.”

De sidekick van de uitermate vervelende zakkenwasser van Werven op BNR, de al minstens zo irritante zak Geert Jan Hahn, vloog gisteren met een letterlijke sukkelgang maar liefst 2 keer uit de bocht.

Rond 9.20 u. stelde Hahn, die net doet alsof hij de artikelen die hij uit de krant opleest, zelf heeft geschreven, dat bij de Armeense genocide 275.000 mensen zijn omgekomen (ofwel vermoord)…….. Dat zijn er naar schatting rond de 1,3 miljoen mensen…… Ach een verschilletje van meer dan 1 miljoen…… Je zou verdomd bijna denken dat hij wordt betaald door de Turkse reli-fascistische regering Erdogan……

Een paar minuten later was het onderwerp de ontmoeting tussen de Russische president Putin en de imbeciele psychopaat Trump, godbetert president van de VS. “Wij kennen die mensen als relschoppers”, zo liet Hahn zijn mening horen over de mensen die tijdens die top in Helsinki willen demonstreren voor vrede en m.n. tegen de grootschalige terreur die de VS in meerdere landen uitoefent…… Alsof er niets aan de hand is op de wereld en we de laatste jaren niet al minstens 3 keer op de rand van de totale (nucleaire) vernietiging hebben gestaan….. (het is één op één aan Putin te danken dat dit niet is gebeurd……)….

Dezelfde ochtend wees van Werven, die keer op keer zijn collega Maasbach openlijk pest, op de vele ‘woordgrappen’ die hij en Hahn op de zender maken…… ‘Woordgrappen?’ Er is werkelijk niets om te lachen als je van Werven en zijn sidekick hoort, of het moet zijn om uitglijders zoals hierboven beschreven, echter die worden bepaald niet de opzet gemaakt om ‘grappig’ te zijn, maar zijn het directe gevolg van leeghoofdigheid en een gebrek aan inlezen op een fiks aantal onderwerpen….. Wat Bas ‘jeetje’ van Werven wel keer op keer doet is lachen om zijn eigen woorden en dat voor meer dan 90% op momenten dat er niets te lachen valt……

Hahn, die ‘relschoppers’ zijn 100 keer menselijker dan jij, zij komen tenminste op voor de mensen die worden getroffen door de grootscheepse VS terreur, enorme flapdrol!

Lavrov: EU moet kiezen of het aan de VS blijft hangen of zich voegt bij een ‘nieuwe wereldorde’ die zich nu vormt

De
Russische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Lavrov, sprak zich in een
interview met Channel 4 uit over de nieuwe wereldorde die zich
momenteel vormt, een wereldorde met China en Rusland als
wereldleiders.

Na
5 eeuwen westerse overheersing, is het westen uitgespeeld en vormt
zich een nieuwe wereldorde, waarbij Lavrov wees op China, Brazilië en
India, als landen die bezig zijn met een inhaalslag op economisch,
financieel en politiek gebied.

Op de vraag of Rusland bezig is deze nieuwe orde vorm te geven, stelde Lavrov dat
deze nieuwe wereldorde zichzelf vormt en een product is van de
geschiedenis. (en dus geen vorming nodig heeft)

Pogingen
om deze wereldorde af te remmen met sancties en importtarieven (de
handelsoorlog van Trump) op producten uit o.a. China en de EU, zullen
uiteindelijk niet het gewenste resultaat opleveren, aldus Lavrov. (zo zijn er al bedrijven in de VS die zelf het slachtoffer worden door deze importheffingen en verplaatst bijvoorbeeld Harley Davidson de productie deels naar een EU land, om EU heffingen te omzeilen, waardoor in de VS veel ontslagen zullen vallen……)

Lavrov
erkent dat de EU een belangrijke pijler is voor elke wereldorde, maar
stelt dat de EU moet beslissen of het afhankelijk wil blijven van de
VS, of een zelfstandige koers gaat varen, waarbij de EU zich meer op de BRIC landen zou moeten richten.

Lavrov
stelde nog dat de EU kampt met een vluchtelingencrisis, die het één
op één te danken heeft aan VS ingrijpen in landen als Libië, waar
de NAVO dit land zo’n 60 jaar terug in de tijd bombardeerde en
waardoor er nu veel vluchtelingen via dit land naar Europa proberen
te vluchten. Waar de EU de rotzooi in Libië, veroorzaakt door de VS en de NAVO mag opruimen (hij noemde overigens alleen de NAVO, al is deze terreurorganisatie
uiteraard het speeltje van de VS, of de oorlogshond van de VS, zo je
wilt)

Op
de vraag of Rusland bereid is Edward Snowden uit te leveren voor het
verlichten van sancties, gaf Lavrov aan dat Snowden niet zal worden
uitgeleverd en hij het land niet hoeft te verlaten als hij dit zelf niet wil, waar hij de VS nog een
sneer gaf door te stellen dat de VS het paspoort van Snowden
ongeldig verklaarde toen deze van Hong Kong naar Europa vloog,
waardoor hij vast kwam te zitten op de luchthaven van Moskou….

Gezien
de uitlatingen van Lavrov is het wel duidelijk dat de VS er alles
aan doet om de door Lavrov genoemde wereldorde tegen te gaan, vandaar
waarschijnlijk ook de bokkesprongen van Trump die een handelsoorlog
begon tegen o.a. China, Mexico en de EU….. (waar de sancties tegen
Rusland, NB ingesteld nadat de VS een opstand en coup organiseerde in
Oekraïne, hetzelfde doen als de importtarieven die de VS heft op
buitenlandse producten als staal en auto’s…….)

E.e.a.
zou gevaarlijk kunnen worden als de VS ziet dat het aan het kortste
eind zal trekken en haar dominantie over de wereld bij de laatste
‘minuten’ is aanbeland; ofwel zal de VS daarop niet een echte oorlog
starten tegen Rusland en China?? Intussen heeft de VS daarop al lang geleden geanticipeerd door de aanleg van een groot aantal militaire bases
rond China en Rusland en besloot het al onder ‘vredesduif’ Obama haar
kernwapenarsenaal te vernieuwen…….

A
new multipolar order, driven by economics and history, is emerging in
the world and Western attempts to stop or to slow it down are
unlikely to succeed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told UK’s
Channel 4.

“I
think that we are in the post-West world order,” Lavrov
told the British Channel 4 in an interview on
Friday. “It
is a historical epoch, if you want. Certainly, after five or so
centuries of domination of the collective West, as it were, it is not
very easy to adjust to new realities that there are other powerhouses
economically, financially and politically,” he
added, pointing to China, India and Brazil.

Asked
if Russia was shaping this world order, Lavrov replied it was rather
the product of history and “development
itself.”

“You
cannot really hope to contain [these] new powerful, economically and
financially, countries. You cannot really ignore their role in world
trade and world economy,” despite
attempts to slow down the process with sanctions and tariffs, the top
Russian diplomat said.

The
European Union is “certainly
a very important pillar of any world order,” Lavrov
added, but it needs to decide whether to remain reliant on the US or
become more self-sufficient. By way of illustration, Lavrov brought
up the migrant crisis, which the EU is currently struggling with.

“NATO
bombed Libya, turned Libya into a black hole through which waves of
migrants, illegal migrants, rushed to Europe. Now EU is cleaning the
broken china for NATO,” Lavrov
said.

Russia’s
relations with the West, which have soured dramatically since the
2014 US-backed coup in Ukraine, will be among the topics discussed at
the July summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US
President Donald Trump in Finland.

During
the interview, Lavrov brushed off Channel 4 speculation that Russia
could offer to hand over NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, whom it
granted political asylum, in exchange for the lifting of US and EU
sanctions.

De
democratische partij in de VS zit in grote ellende, waar de top
onlangs toegaf dat men de voorverkiezingen in de partij, voorafgaand
aan de presidentsverkiezingen heeft gestoken, dit ten koste van
progressieve kandidaten als Sanders. Voorts is men bezig een
aanklacht tegen Wikileaks voor te bereiden vanwege de feitelijke berichtgeving over de manipulaties van die partijtop…….

Intussen
is het zo dat je in de VS niet ongestraft kan zeggen dat het hele
Russiagate verhaal verzonnen is om Rusland de schuld voor o.a. het
lekken van documenten en manipulatie van de verkiezingen in de
schoenen te schuiven. Je wordt nog net niet door de overheid
vervolgd, maar je naam wordt door de media al snel door de stront
gehaald…..

Met
andere woorden: als je kritiek hebt op smerige beschuldigingen van o.a. de geheime diensten en de reguliere media, beschuldigingen waar geen nanometer bewijs voor is, ben je een linkse Russische trol (en eigenlijk een verrader…), ook al is jouw verhaal op feiten gebaseerd……….

Jill Stein, leider van de Green Party in de VS wordt o.a. door Jim Sciutto van CNN aangemerkt als een Russische trol, dit voor het aanhalen van feitelijke VS bemoeienis met verkiezingen in andere landen (gedocumenteerd)……. Uiteraard is dit uitermate gevaarlijk, zeker in de ‘gun crazy’ VS, mensen daar zijn voor minder vermoord……..

Talking Points” Look An Awful Lot Like Well-Documented Facts

Things
aren’t looking great for the Democratic establishment, which recently
admitted that it stacks its primaries against
progressive candidates and is currently engaged in a desperate, hail
Mary lawsuit
against WikiLeaks for
its factual publications about the party. So of course you know what
that means.

That’s
right! It’s time for Democratic pundits to begin down-punching Jill
Stein.

“Jill
Stein is on @NewDay right
now repeating Russian talking points on its interference in the 2016
election and on US foreign policy,” tweeted CNN
Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto today, without
shame or self-reflection.

Sciutto
was referring to comments Stein made on a CNN
interview today about
America’s undeniable, entirely factual and well-documented
history of
meddling in other countries’ elections, including a citation of
an ex-CIA
Director’s recent admission that
the US has interfered in foreign electoral processes and continues to
do so to this day.

Because
that’s what constitutes a “Russian talking point” these
days: raw, easily verifiable facts.

Stein’s
interviewer, Chris “It’s illegal to read WikiLeaks” Cuomo,
echoed a similar sentiment in response to her points, in essence
arguing that only Russians should be stating these blatantly obvious
and extremely relevant facts.

“You
know, that would be the case for Russia to make, not from the
American perspective,” Cuomo said. “Of course, there’s
hypocrisy involved, lots of different big state actors do lots of
things that they may not want people to know about. But let Russia
say that the United States did it to us, and here’s how they did it,
so this is fair play. From the American perspective and you running
for president, more than once of this country, shouldn’t your
position have been, this was bad what they did, they’re trying to do
it right now and we have to stop it?”

Right.
Because you have so many Russians on your show making that case, do
you Chris?

This
is absolute lunacy. The implication here is that it isn’t ever okay
for Americans to talk about Russia in any other context than how
awful and evil its government is; that nobody can speak about how
America’s behavior factors into the equation in a very real and
significant way. Not because it’s not factual, not because it’s not
relevant, but because it’s a “Russian talking point”, and
only Russians should be saying it.

And
this sentiment being promulgated by these establishment pundits is
being swallowed hook, line and sinker by the rank-and-file citizenry
who consume such media. Every single day, without exception, I am
accused multiple times of being a propagandist for the Kremlin. Not
because there’s any evidence for that, not because I’m writing
anything that is untruthful, but because I’m writing “Russian
talking points”, i.e. arguments that have ostensibly been made
at some point by Russians.

And
it is, to be perfectly honest, infuriating. These people are actively
making the case for willful ignorance and stupidity. They’re actively
arguing that facts which don’t support the narratives being
promulgated by the CIA and the State Department should be completely
excluded from all discussion within the western hemisphere, and that
only Russians should be making them. They do this while
simultaneously arguing that Russian media is dangerous and should be
avoided by Americans. Only Russians should argue against CIA/CNN
narratives, and we should never, ever listen to those arguments.

They’re
arguing for the deliberate omission of relevant facts from dialogue.
They are arguing that we should all be morons, on purpose.

Of course it’s
relevant to the discussion that the US interferes with foreign
democratic processes far more than any other government on the
planet! Are you nuts? Yes, obviously if
yours is the primary country responsible creating a climate wherein
governments meddle in the elections of other nations, that undeniable
fact must necessarily be a part of any sensible analysis of what’s
happening and what should be done about it. Anyone who tries to argue
that that fact shouldn’t be a part of the conversation is making an
argument in favor of stupidity.

That’s
not a “whataboutism”, as empire loyalists like Eric
Boehlert habitually claim.
It’s crucial factual information.

The
environment that these pundits are creating is itself hostile to
democracy. If all “talking points” are excluded from the
conversation other than those which lead to continually escalating
sanctions, proxy wars, nuclear posturing and brinkmanship, then
there’s no way for activism or democracy to tap the brake on the
west’s ongoing trajectory toward direct military confrontation with a
nuclear superpower.

In
her interview, Stein outlined this
quite clearly:

“You
know, I think that kind of position which says that we’re in a
totally different category from the rest of the world is not working.
This century of American domination, you know, sort of didn’t play
out the way we thought it would, we’re embroiled now — we have the
military in practically every country around the world. In the recent
taxes that people pay, the average American paid almost $3,500 that
went into the Department of Offense, I would call it, not the
Department of Defense, $3,500, whereas we put $40 into the EPA.

“You
know, 57 percent of our discretionary dollars now are going into the
military. It’s part of a mindset that says, we’re always right and
they’re always wrong and we’re going to be dominating militarily and
economically. We’re in a multi-polar world right now and, you know,
we need to behave as an exemplary member of the community and that is
by upholding ourselves and leading the way on international law,
human rights and diplomacy. That approach is really paying off on the
Korean peninsula right now. I think we should be using it more
broadly.”

Cuomo,
who as the son of a New York Governor and brother of the current New
York Governor is as much Democratic Party royalty as a Clinton, had
some very interesting facial expressions in response to Stein’s
arguments. Whenever an interviewee makes strong points which go
against the establishment grain he always looks like he’s taking a
really uncomfortable shit:

There
have been far too many cartoonishly absurd responses to Stein’s
interview for me to address in a single article without putting my
laptop through the wall in a fit of rage, but this
tweet from
MSNBC and Atlanticcontributor
Natasha Bertrand is really something else.

“Jill
Stein just told @CNN that
her presence at RT gala in Moscow Dec 2015 wasn’t controversial at
the time because Obama ‘was still on track for a reboot’ with Putin,”
said Bertrand, adding that “Russia had already annexed Crimea,
invaded eastern Ukraine, intervened in Syria for Assad, and hacked
the DNC.”

This
is actual, real-life “Oceania had always been at war with
Eastasia” Orwellian revisionist doublethink. There was no public
information about any Russian DNC hack in 2015, and the average
American hardly ever thought about Russia at that time.
Then-Secretary of State John Kerry personally
met with Vladimir Putin in July of 2016 to
discuss collaboration against terrorist forces in Syria. Only in the
most warped, revisionist, funhouse mirror Orwellian reality tunnel
can it be claimed that Stein visiting Moscow in December of 2015
would have been considered shady or controversial at the time.

The
fact that Bertrand’s tweet was liked and shared thousands of times on
Twitter is extremely creepy and disturbing. Establishment media
didn’t start indoctrinating American liberals with Russia hysteria
until the tail end of 2016, but it’s been so effective that MSNBC
mainliners are now gaslighting themselves into a revision of their
own history.

This
is why people like myself fight the CIA/CNN Russia narrative so
aggressively. Not because we’re propagandists, not because we’re
“useful idiots”, not because of “Russian talking
points”, but because the US-centralized power establishment’s
nonstop campaign to manufacture support for its agendas of global
hegemony are making us all stupid and crazy.

Stop
playing along with this bullshit. Stop letting them make us stupid
and crazy. Stop letting them manipulate us into consenting to
escalations with a nuclear superpower. Stop. Turn back. Wrong way.

Vergeet niet dat bijvoorbeeld de lokale dagbladen in ons land intussen zo ongeveer allemaal zijn ondergebracht bij de grote dagbladen, allen in bezit van op winst beluste eigenaren, dan wel (beursgenoteerde) politiek rechtse organisaties, die een eigen belang hebben bij voor hen gunstig gekleurde berichtgeving in de bladen die zij onder het beheer hebben, waarbij deze eigenaren allen grote aanhangers zijn van het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberalisme en grote voorstanders zijn van de VS terreur, waar ter wereld die ook wordt uitgeoefend……..

Russische volk wordt
geadviseerd zich voor te bereiden op een nucleaire oorlog…….

In
een Anti-Media artikel van Julia Conley, eerder gepubliceerd op
Common Dreams, bericht ze over de adviezen die door de Russische staatsmedia aan het Russische volk worden
gegeven: wat te doen als er een nucleaire oorlog tussen Rusland en de
VS uitbreekt…….

Volkomen
terecht, echter als je de landelijke radio nieuws en actualiteiten zenders
van Nederland, België, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië moet geloven is
er niets aan de hand en hoewel men continu Rusland demoniseert, wordt
er dan plotsklaps wel gezond verstand verwacht van Rusland, in reactie
op de oorlogstaal van de VS n.a.v. de zogenaamde gifgasaanval
op Douma……*

Moet je nagaan: die reguliere media doen voorts niet anders dan Rusland van alle ellende de schuld geven, ook al is daar geen flinter bewijs voor, neem de zogenaamde Russische manipulatie van de VS presidentsverkiezingen, of het hacken van regeringen (zaken waar de VS zich meermaals schuldig aan heeft gemaakt, waar wel bewijzen voor zijn, ook het hacken van vriendschappelijke regeringen zoals die van Duitsland en andere zaken die o.a. terug te vinden zijn in Wikileaks…..)

De verwachting dat Rusland wel haar verstand zal gebruiken, strookt overigens met de werkelijkheid: ga maar eens na
wat er gebeurd zou zijn als een VS jager uit de lucht zou zijn
geschoten door Rusland (Turkije deed dit als NAVO partner, terwijl de
VS op de hoogte was van het Russische vluchtplan), of als Rusland 100 VS
militairen zou hebben gedood (zoals de VS met Russische militaire vrijwilligers in Syrië heeft gedaan)…… De
oorlogsrapen waren overgaar geweest en de VS had wraak genomen,
echter Rusland deed dit niet en bewaarde de kalmte (waarvoor we bij wijze
van spreken god en Putin op onze blote knieën mogen
bedanken)…….

Echter
tegen loze beschuldigingen kan je je niet anders verweren dan de
waarheid te vertellen en je voor te bereiden op oorlog. De VS wordt
keer op keer zwakte verweten, zoals na de grote gifgasaanval in 2013,
die na onderzoek werd toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die
zonder bezwaar van het westen beschikken over voorraden…. gifgas!). Niet voor niets dat Obama niet ingreep, al had hij al helemaal het recht niet zich binnen de (lucht-) grenzen van Syrië te begeven…….

Echter
het is geen zwakte als je je fout inziet (dat willen de reguliere westerse media en de
meeste westerse politici nog steeds niet toegeven!) en niet besluit
om te gaan bombarderen….. Als Rusland in de positie van de VS was
geweest en elke keer de beschuldigingen en volkomen onterechte wraakoefeningen (zoals die na de ‘gifgasaanval’ in Khan Sheikhoun >> de VS aanval met kruisraketten >> een enorme oorlogsmisdaad) over haar kant had laten
gaan, waren hemel en aarde te klein geweest voor de kritiek……
Gelukkig dat we in Rusland te maken hebben met een regering die niet ad hoc reageert, een regering waaraan het westen op heel veel punten een voorbeeld kan
nemen!!

With
ominous mushroom clouds in the background, Russian TV tells citizens
how to fill bunkers with shelf-stable foods like rice and sugar.

(COMMONDREAMS) As
President Donald Trump sent mixed messages about his plans for
possible military action in Syria this week, Russian state media
advised citizens to take his warnings from earlier this week to
heart, and prepare for war with the U.S.

On
the country’s state-owned media channel, a news anchor on
Wednesday explained to
viewers how to prepare for a potential war by stocking a bomb
shelter—while images of nuclear explosions were shown behind him.

As Newsweek reports:

Warning
that the potential conflict between the two superpowers would be
“catastrophic,” an anchor for Russia’s Vesti
24 showed
off shelves of food, recommending that people buy salt, oatmeal, and
other products that can last a long time on the shelves if they plan
to hide in a bunker. Powdered milk lasts five years, while sugar and
rice can last up to eight years, the newscaster explained before
showing videos of pasta cooking in a bomb shelter.

The
newscast showed shelf-stable foods that could last five to eight
years—including powdered milk, rice, and sugar—and advised
Russians to buy gas masks and huge supplies of water.

The
anchor took on a mocking tone at times, saying that Americans have
far more to fear than Russians.

“The
real panic isn’t here but across the ocean,” said the reporter,
adding that the instructions to stock bunkers were for “people who
succumb to panic and decide to spend all their savings.”

Trump
warned he was considering military
action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad this week, after he
accused Assad—who Russia has defended in the country’s civil war
over the last seven years—of attacking the town of Douma with
poison gas last weekend.

A
navy destroyer armed with Tomahawk missiles embarked from
Cyrus on Monday, leading to fears that Trump would impulsively launch
an attack on the war-torn country—while anti-war
advocates urged Trump
to allow the U.N. to investigate the chemical attack before taking
action.

In
response to Trump’s threats, Russia quickly said it
wouldshoot down any U.S. missiles and possibly target U.S. launch
sites as well, leading international affairs and military experts to
warn that the U.S. would stand little chance of defeating Russia’s
defenses—and that an escalation could ultimately lead to a
nuclear exchange.

“There
is a major war scare here in Moscow. Russia is expecting a U.S.
strike in Syria. The Russian chief of military Valery Gerasimov
promised a response against U.S. platforms launching missiles,”
Ariel Cohen, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, told Newsweek.
“The U.S. needs to keep in mind not only the adversarial position
of Russia, which of course is the case, but the Russian nuclear
potential… An escalation in Syria that affects Russia may lead to a
military conflict with Russia, which has an escalation trajectory
towards a nuclear war.”

Meanwhile,
Murtaza Mohammad Hussain‏ at the Intercept argued
that while Trump’s threats could carry the danger of war, the
majority of those who will suffer in a conflict between the U.S. and
Russia are likely neither American nor Russian—but Middle Eastern.

I don’t really buy the idea that Russia & the U.S. are at risk of WW3 or nuclear war over any of their disputes. Imperial powers are happy to compete in carving up the rest of the world, but the only blood they’re really willing to spill en masse is that of third world people.

If there is a great power conflict, the escalation will happen by both sides bombing Syrians more, maybe throwing in some Iraqis, Iranians and Lebanese depending on how bad things get. No one in Russia or America needs to worry about any “WW3” that would affect them directly.

Ben het overigens in het geheel niet eens met de Twitterberichten van Martuza Mohammad Hussain, hij vergeet even dat Rusland op verzoek van de legitieme, democratisch gekozen regering van Syrië in dat land aanwezig is…… De ‘opstand in Syrië’ was een door de VS georganiseerde zaak, met behulp van een aantal andere landen waaronder Groot-Brittannië, Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Egypte. Deze opstand werd al vanaf 2006 voorbereid…… Syrië werd vanaf het begin van de opstand (‘arabische lente..’) onmiddellijk gedemoniseerd, terwijl buitenlandse jihadstrijders de Syrische demonstranten (waaronder vooral veel buitenlanders) letterlijk onder vuur namen, zodat Assad de schuld kreeg…….. (de zoveelste false flag operatie) Doordat Syrië ten onder dreigde te gaan en Assad Putin te hulp riep, is Rusland zoals gezegd aanwezig in dat land, waarmee Rusland al decennia lang goede betrekkingen onderhield………. Tot slot wat betreft dit commentaar van Hussain en dan zijn stelling dat we in het westen niet bang hoeven te zijn voor WOIII: dat is maar zeer de vraag, als Rusland als vergelding voor de aanval van afgelopen nacht een VS marineschip torpedeert dan wel bombardeert, vrees ik dat we binnen de kortste keren wel degelijk in WOIII zullen belanden en zoals deze aanduiding al aangeeft, een wereldoorlog treft de hele wereld, dus ook het westen……

* Intussen is de wraakoefening van de VS met hulp van GB en Frankrijk een feit, zoals je vandaag niet kan zijn ontgaan (dit bericht werd aangemaakt voor die aanvallen), zie wat dat betreft:
