Gekleurde families in de VS worden lastiggevallen in hun huis door witte buren

VS, ‘the land of the free’*, het land ook ‘van de ongekende
mogelijkheden’, zoals het neerschieten van groepen mensen, het land
van de witten dat ondanks een eerste gekleurde president nog steeds
gekleurden medeburgers op grote schaal discrimineert, beledigt en vernedert, zowel door
medeburgers als door de overheid, neem het onevenredig grote aantal
gekleurden dat door de politie wordt vermoord, of gearresteerd……* 

Ondanks dat de gekleurde bevolking tot een minderheid behoort,
zitten er onevenredig veel gekleurden in het achterlijk
geprivatiseerde gevangeniswezen van de VS…….. Het land waar je als gekleurde
burger veelal heel anders wordt berecht dan een witte burger en
dat bepaald niet in positieve zin….*

Nu
blijkt ook nog eens dat gekleurde families in overwegend witte wijken
regelmatig worden lastiggevallen door witte racistische buren, waar de politie amper of zelfs niet ingrijpt……

– In
Delano, Minnesota, a
black family’s home was broken into
in March 2017 and a warning was spray-painted on the walls: “Get
out.” The vandals left a note, too: “Next time it’s going to be
fire.”

In
Athens, Tennessee, the white mother of young biracial children
alleged that she’d been harassed verbally by a neighbor for a year.

For
close to two years, ProPublica has been compiling reports of hate
crimes and bias incidents as part of our
Documenting Hate project.
The database now houses a vast compendium of ugliness in America.
Killings, assaults, threats of terror — they are all there.

One
of the more common entries involves people being harassed or
threatened at their place of residence, often by neighbors, the
people who live next door or down the hall or around the corner. Of
course, this isn’t new. The integration of neighborhoods in the
U.S. has been as fraught as the integration of the country’s
schools.

Jeannine
Bell, a lawyer and author of “Hate Thy Neighbor: Move-In Violence
and the Persistence of Racial Segregation in American Housing,”
said no corner of the country has any claim of immunity from the
problem. She also noted that the total number of such incidents is
not reliably captured in any formal data set, ours or those kept by
federal and local authorities. That’s because, she said, many of
these incidents go unreported.

“A
lot of times, the people that are targeted don’t even know that
this is a crime,” Bell said.

The
Documenting Hate database has close to 6,000 entries — a mix of
news reports, tips, personal stories of bigotry and records collected
by law enforcement and some anti-discrimination groups. Among the
most common things reported are anti-Muslim acts, which accounted for
359 entries, and swastikas showing up in public places, which were
the subject of an additional 400 or so.

More
than 300 entries were reports of harassment or menacing at people’s
homes, targeting people of a variety of races and religions. The most
frequent victims were African Americans. Indeed, African Americans
are the most frequently victimized group nationally for hate crimes,
according to data from the FBI.

That
finding prompted us to send inquiries to the dozen or so police
jurisdictions that had reported the highest number of anti-black hate
crimes to the FBI’s hate-crime database from 2010 to 2016. Since we
couldn’t get incident reports from every one of those
jurisdictions, we also made requests to several police departments
where we’d received data that included anti-black hate crimes.

In
total, we were able to identify 639 incidents of anti-black violence
or harassment from the police reports we received. More than a fifth
of those reports, 138 in all, were incidents involving people being
targeted by neighbors or in their homes.

In
Columbus, Ohio, a man went to police because someone had been ringing
his doorbell or banging on his garage 25 to 30 times a night, almost
every night. When the man went outside, the suspect would call him
racial slurs from the darkness. The man and his family are the only
black residents of their cul-de-sac. No arrests were made and the
case is currently listed as inactive.

In
Toledo, at the north end of the state, a man was allegedly harassing
three black neighbors in his neighborhood, using “unwarranted
racist language,” according to the police report. One day, the
suspect saw a car with black occupants throw trash on the street.
Even though they had no relation to anyone on the block, the suspect
came over and dumped trash on a black family’s lawn, the report
said. “Since you all want to nigger up the neighborhood, I’ll
burn you and your nigger family out,” he allegedly told the victim.
Police went to the suspect’s home, but he didn’t answer the door.
A call to the Toledo police to check on the case was not returned.

In
Kansas City, Missouri, an African-American man went to police because
his neighbor had harassed him for three years. The suspect allegedly
stood in his driveway taking pictures of his home and waved a
Confederate flag. The man who filed the complaint wound up moving,
but he told police he was worried because he’d seen the man outside
his new home.

In
Oxford Township, Michigan, a couple — a white woman and a black man
— went to police because they said they couldn’t leave the house
without getting harassed by their neighbor, who called them racial
slurs. When police gave the neighbor a citation for disorderly
conduct, she ripped it up in front of the officer. She was
subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and her case was turned
over to the local prosecutor’s office.

And
in Spokane, Washington, we got records on two cases of possible
neo-Nazis harassing their black neighbors. In one case, the neighbors
reported that a man with a swastika on his hand called them racial
slurs. He allegedly threw a brick at a woman, calling her a slur. In
another case, a black man said his white supremacist neighbor and
another man assaulted him in his garage while using racial slurs and
threatened him with a gun. “Nigger, you don’t deserve to be
breathing white men’s air,” they allegedly said. Later, the white
supremacist allegedly returned with two other men and yelled “heil
the KKK” and “white power” at the man, shortly before shooting
a gun at his home from a car. The victim told
The Spokesman-Review that
one of the suspects had called him racial slurs for months leading up
to the shooting.

According
to the Spokane Police Department, both cases resulted in arrests and
the suspects were charged with first-degree assault and malicious
harassment. In the shooting case, suspect Donald Prichard’s
criminal history record totals to 16 felony convictions,
which included
beating and sexually assaulting a woman. He’s
awaiting trial on Jan. 22. The second suspect in that case, Jason
Cooper, has 12 felony convictions, including unlawful possession of a
weapon and burglary, and he is awaiting trial on Feb. 25.

Many
accounts, both in our database and that resulted from our queries to
police departments, include frustration at what can seem like a lack
of police interest or action. In the case of the family targeted in
Delano, no one was ever arrested, and the family wound up moving
away. The mother in Athens said police told her there was little they
could do about verbal harassment, that it was a civil matter. The
authorities in Athens didn’t return a request for comment.

That
said, we did find examples where the authorities ultimately took
serious steps.

In
Grapevine, Texas, Dante Petty was harassed by his white neighbor,
Glenn Halfin, for over a year after he moved in. The harassment
became so persistent that he installed surveillance cameras outside
his home and a police officer was stationed outside for over a month.
The breaking point occurred when his neighbor left black baby dolls
with nooses around their necks hung outside his apartment.
Ultimately, Halfin was charged with a hate crime and convicted of
violating the family’s housing rights. He was sentenced to year in
state prison, the maximum punishment based on his guilty plea to the
misdemeanor charge.

“No
one should be afraid to go home at night,” said U.S. Attorney Erin
Nealy Cox on
the day of Halfin’s sentencing. Victims
of such harassment at their residences, it turns out, have an option
other than going to the local police. Harassing one’s neighbor also
violates the federal Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal for
landlords and neighbors to interfere with someone’s right to
housing based on who they are. And there is an office at the
Department of Housing and Urban Development meant to handle such
cases.

Victims
can file a complaint with HUD within a year of the alleged violation.
Owners, managers and condominium associations may be liable for
neighbor-on-neighbor harassment if they fail to intervene when they
have a duty to do so. Criminal penalties can include fines and
prison.

According
to HUD statistics, there were 8,348 complaints of such violations in
2015, 8,350 in 2016 and 8,186 in 2017. Half or more of those cases
dealt with alleged violations involving people with disabilities. The
HUD statistics show that, historically, very few of the complaints of
any kind wound up with federal prosecutions.

The
number of prosecutions has gotten appreciably smaller in recent
years. In 2015, the Department of Justice closed 84 cases brought to
it by HUD regarding the Fair Housing Act. In 2016, there were only
12. In 2017, there were just five.

Calls
for comment from HUD were not returned because of the federal
government shutdown.

Meanwhile,
as the second year of Documenting Hate came to a close, reports kept
coming in.

In
June 2018, Hubert Roberts, of Clio, Michigan, complained to police
that his truck had been targeted by racists. A Nazi symbol was spray
painted on the truck, along with slurs and boasts of white pride. The
Genesee County Sheriff’s Office would not comment on the case,
other than to say no arrests have been made. When asked about the
current status of the case, the FBI told ProPublica, “Adhering to
DOJ policy, the FBI neither confirms nor denies investigations.”

Roberts
said that this wasn’t the first time he was targeted in the
community because of his race, either. He noted other instances of
being called racist comments, where he was told to “go back to
Africa,” while doing work on his yard.

“This
could have been an opportunity for some dialogue in this
predominantly white community,” Roberts said. “I just feel really
disappointed with our justice system.”

Groot-Brittannië heeft India als kolonisator 45 biljoen dollar lichter gemaakt en liegt daar nog steeds over

In
Groot-Brittannië (GB) gaat nog steeds het verhaal rond, dat GB nooit iets
heeft verdiend aan de kolonisatie van India en daarom was het een
gunst dat GB zo lang als kolonisator in India bleef….. Uit onderzoek zou blijken dat 50%
van de Britten deze smerige leugen gelooft……

Wie een
klein beetje de economie van kolonisators in het verleden onder de
loep heeft genomen, weet dat men nooit een kolonie had behouden, als
daar niet dik geld aan te verdienen was, met uitzondering van strategisch belangrijke gebieden voor die kolonisators, neem Gibraltar….

Onderzoek
van Utsa Patnaik, gepubliceerd op Columbia University Press, toont
dan ook het tegendeel aan van het sprookje dat India de Britse
kolonisator alleen maar geld heeft gekost. Integendeel: GB heeft bij
elkaar 45 biljoen dollar gestolen van de Indiase bevolking, dit in
de periode van 1765 tot 1938. Die 45 biljoen is overigens 17 keer het
huidige Bruto Binnenlands Product van GB……

Via een
smerige systeem wist GB haar winsten zo groot mogelijk te maken: in
1765 nam de East India Company (EIC) de handel over in India, tot die
tijd betaalde GB netjes in zilver voor de producten, echter kort na
die overname van de handel door de EIC, voerde men belastingen in en
van één derde van die belastingopbrengsten uit India, werden de goederen gekocht in
India, ofwel GB kreeg de producten vanaf die tijd gratis, immers de
bevolking betaalde zelf voor die producten via de belastingen…….. 

Na import in GB, exporteerde GB een deel van die goederen naar de rest van Europa, daarmee kon GB de benodigde goederen betalen die nodig waren voor de industrialisatie, zoals staal…. Ofwel GB verkocht in feite gestolen goederen en dat voor een fikse prijs, anders gezegd: dubbele winsten van elk 100%…..

Middels de
belastingen die in India werden geroofd, bekostigde GB ook haar
koloniale oorlogen, zoals die tegen China, bovendien werd uit die belasting zoals gezegd de
industrialisatie van GB en haar kolonies Canada en Australië
betaald….. Niet de stoommachine maakte GB groot maar het gestolen
geld van de Indiase bevolking!

Van 1870
tot 1920 heeft GB met opzet een hongersnood veroorzaakt in India* die aan
tientallen miljoenen Indiërs het leven heeft gekost, ofwel deze
mensen werden vermoord middels één van de ergste oorlogsmisdaden, om
niet te zeggen een grove misdaad tegen de menselijkheid: het uithongeren van een bevolking………. (zie de foto in het hieronder opgenomen artikel)

Uiteraard
heeft ook GB als Nederland voor het Indonesische volk, niet haar excuses aangeboden aan het volk
van India voor de vreselijke misdaden en uitbuiting, laat staan dat
het herstelbetalingen heeft gedaan……..

British
colonizers turned a scam for defrauding peasants into a parasitical
relationship that made England rich and impoverished a
subcontinent.

“$45
trillion is 17 times more than the total annual gross domestic
product of the United Kingdom today.”

There
is a story that is commonly told in Britain that the colonization
of India —
as horrible as it may have been — was not of any major economic
benefit to Britain itself. If anything, the administration of India
was a cost to Britain. So the fact that the empire was sustained for
so long — the story goes — was a gesture of Britain’s benevolence.

New
research by the renowned economist Utsa Patnaik — just published by
Columbia University Press — deals a crushing blow to this narrative.
Drawing on nearly two centuries of detailed data on tax and trade,
Patnaik calculated that Britain drained a total of nearly $45
trillion from India during the period 1765 to 1938.

It’s
a staggering sum. For perspective, $45 trillion is 17 times more than
the total annual gross domestic product of the United
Kingdom today.

How
did this come about?

It
happened through the trade system. Prior to the colonial period,
Britain bought goods like textiles and rice from Indian producers and
paid for them in the normal way — mostly with silver — as they did
with any other country. But something changed in 1765, shortly after
the East India Company took control of the subcontinent and
established a monopoly over Indian trade.

“The
re-export system allowed Britain to finance a flow of imports from
Europe which were essential to Britain’s industrialization.”

Here’s
how it worked. The East India Company began collecting taxes in
India, and then cleverly used a portion of those revenues (about a
third) to
fund the purchase of Indian goods for British use. In other words,
instead of paying for Indian goods out of their own pocket, British
traders acquired them for free, “buying” from peasants and
weavers using money that had just been taken from them.

It
was a scam — theft on a grand scale. Yet most Indians were unaware
of what was going on because the agent who collected the taxes was
not the same as the one who showed up to buy their goods. Had it been
the same person, they surely would have smelled a rat.

Some
of the stolen goods were consumed in Britain, and the rest were
re-exported elsewhere. The re-export system allowed Britain to
finance a flow of imports from Europe, including strategic materials
like iron, tar and timber, which were essential to Britain’s
industrialization. Indeed, the Industrial Revolution depended in
large part on this systematic theft from India.

On
top of this, the British were able to sell the stolen goods to other
countries for much more than they “bought” them for in the
first place, pocketing not only 100 percent of the original value of
the goods but also the markup.

After
the British Raj took over in 1847, colonizers added a special new
twist to the tax-and-buy system. As the East India Company’s monopoly
broke down, Indian producers were allowed to export their goods
directly to other countries. But Britain made sure that the payments
for those goods nonetheless ended up in London.

“The
Industrial Revolution depended in large part on this systematic theft
from India.”

How
did this work? Basically, anyone who wanted to buy goods from India
would do so using special Council Bills — a unique paper currency
issued only by the British Crown. And the only way to get those bills
was to buy them from London with gold or silver. So traders would pay
London in gold to get the bills, and then use the bills to pay Indian
producers. When Indians cashed the bills in at the local colonial
office, they were “paid” in rupees out of tax revenues —
money that had just been collected from them. So, once again, they
were not in fact paid at all; they were defrauded.

Meanwhile,
London ended up with all of the gold and silver that should have gone
directly to the Indians in exchange for their exports.

This
corrupt system meant that even while India was running an impressive
trade surplus with the rest of the world — a surplus that lasted for
three decades in the early 20th century — it showed up as a deficit
in the national accounts because the real income from India’s exports
was appropriated in
its entirety by Britain.

Some
point to this fictional “deficit” as evidence that India
was a liability to Britain. But exactly the opposite is true. Britain
intercepted enormous quantities of income that rightly belonged to
Indian producers. India was the goose that laid the golden egg.
Meanwhile, the “deficit” meant that India had no option but
to borrow from Britain to finance its imports. So the entire Indian
population was forced into completely unnecessary debt to their
colonial overlords, further cementing British control.

“London
ended up with all of the gold and silver that should have gone
directly to the Indians.”

Britain
used the windfall from this fraudulent system to fuel the engines of
imperial violence — funding the invasion of China in
the 1840s and the suppression of the Indian Rebellion in 1857. And
this was on top of what the Crown took directly from Indian taxpayers
to pay for its wars. As Patnaik points out, “the cost of all
Britain’s wars of conquest outside Indian borders were charged always
wholly or mainly to Indian revenues.”

And
that’s not all. Britain used this flow of tribute from India to
finance the expansion of capitalism in Europe and regions of European
settlement, like Canada and Australia. So not only the
industrialization of Britain but also the industrialization of much
of the Western world was facilitated by extraction from the colonies.

Patnaik
identifies four distinct economic periods in colonial India from 1765
to 1938, calculates the extraction for each, and then compounds at a
modest rate of interest (about 5 percent, which is lower than the
market rate) from the middle of each period to the present. Adding it
all up, she finds that the total drain amounts to $44.6 trillion.
This figure is conservative, she says, and does not include the debts
that Britain imposed on India during the Raj.

These
are eye-watering sums. But the true costs of this drain cannot be
calculated. If India had been able to invest its own tax revenues and
foreign exchange earnings in development – as Japan did
– there’s no telling how history might have turned out differently.
India could very well have become an economic powerhouse. Centuries
of poverty and suffering could have been prevented.

“The
cost of all Britain’s wars of conquest outside Indian borders were
charged always wholly or mainly to Indian revenues.”

All
of this is a sobering antidote to the rosy narrative promoted by
certain powerful voices in Britain. The conservative historian Niall
Ferguson has claimed that British rule helped “develop”
India. While he was prime minister, David Cameron asserted that
British rule was a net help to India.

This
narrative has found considerable traction in the popular imagination:
according to a 2014 YouGov poll, 50 percent of people in Britain
believe that colonialism was beneficial to the colonies.

Yet
during the entire 200-year history of British rule in India, there
was almost no increase in per capita income. In fact, during the last
half of the 19th century – the heyday of British intervention —
income in India collapsed by half. The average life expectancy of
Indians dropped by a fifth from 1870 to 1920. Tens of millions died
needlessly of policy-induced famine.

Britain
didn’t develop India. Quite the contrary — as Patnaik’s work makes
clear — India developed Britain.

What
does this require of Britain today? An apology? Absolutely.
Reparations? Perhaps — although there is not enough money in all of
Britain to cover the sums that Patnaik identifies. In the meantime,
we can start by setting the story straight. We need to recognize that
Britain retained control of India not out of benevolence but for the
sake of plunder and that Britain’s industrial rise didn’t emerge sui
generis from the steam engine and strong institutions, as our
schoolbooks would have it, but depended on violent theft from other
lands and other peoples.

video footage of those Russian prostitutes I hired to urinate on a
bed the Obamas once slept in. If that had come out it would have
offended and alienated a lot of people, which is something I never
normally do.

Putin:
Yes that is an old KGB tactic called kompromat, a word which only
extremely intelligent people know about. Keep this line of
communication open. As long as you do as I command, your pee pee tape
will remain secret.

Trump:
One thing I’m curious about though my lord, if you don’t mind my
asking. If you already had an army of hackers targeting Democratic
Party emails, why did you need my help? Couldn’t you just have
hacked the emails and published them on your own? Why did you need me
to interact with them at all?

Ongelofelijk dat premier Rutte, van misdadigerspartij VVD, durfde te zeggen dat het fenomeen ‘zwarte piet’ een discussie is die aan de ‘talkshow tafels’ moet worden opgelost…… Ofwel: door de overheid gesubsidieerd racisme, tevens een belediging en vernedering voor gekleurde Nederlanders en hun kinderen, is een discussie die bij het meer dan suffe gelul aan praatshow tafels worden opgelost……..

Je weet wel, praatshows zoals die van het oude wijf Jeroen Pauw, waar de rechtse extremisten die vorig jaar met geweld tegenstanders van zwarte piet tegenhielden op een Friese snelweg (gesteund door de politie, althans die deed hoegenaamd niets), een spreekbuis kregen, terwijl de tegenstanders van zwarte piet ofwel de slachtoffers van vorig jaar, niet tezamen aan tafel mochten zitten van het extreem rechtse tuig……. Nee echt geweldig Rutte, zo’n praatshow oplossing…… Grijnzende rotzak!

Hoe durft Rutte iets dergelijks te opperen, immers hij is ook de premier van gekleurde Nederlanders, van wie de kinderen in de sinterklaasperiode worden gepest, terwijl de landelijk en lokale overheden het sinterklaasfeest subsidiëren (intochten en tv programma’s als het Sinterklaasjournaal), inclusief de deelname van zwarte piet……..

In het VPRO programma OVT op Radio1, maakte de mislukte praatjesmaker Jos Palm vorige week zondag (25 november) de opmerking dat men het in dit geschiedenisprogramma niet wil hebben over de vervelende ‘zwarte piet discussie’, maar dat ook ‘wij’ er niet aan ontkomen (alvast een excuus aan de voorstanders van zwarte piet, immers Palm vindt dat ‘zwarte piet’ er gewoon bijhoort…)…..

Waarom Palm & co er niet aan konden ontkomen? Welnu, Lise Koning, een historicus heeft onderzoek gedaan waar zwarte piet vandaan komt en dat blijkt volgens haar de VS te zijn, waar men zich in de 19de eeuw met ‘black facing’ ging bezighouden, waarmee de echte zwarte mensen werden beledigd middels een karikatuur van echte zwarte mensen, die als onmenselijk en dom werden voorgesteld……..

Pas in 1850 maakte een Amsterdamse leraar een boek waarin hij zwarte piet toevoegde aan sinterklaas, aldus Koning…… Het volgende komt niet van Koning: Nederland kende toen nog steeds slavernij en waarschijnlijk heeft die leraar gedacht dat ten tijde van de echte klaas er ook al slavernij bestond en het niet meer dan logisch was dat sinterklaas ze ook ‘heeft gehouden als goedkope knecht……’*

Daar Nederland destijds amper of geen gekleurde mensen kende, gebruikte men maar al te graag de zwarte piet figuur als een kwaadaardige dombo (immers hij moest ook straffen uitdelen met de roe), zodat men ‘een uitgebalanceerd beeld kreeg van de gekleurden’ (alweer juist niet, zoals je begrijpt), gekleurden die destijds door velen niet werden gezien als mensen, ‘ook niet’ door de staat…… (dezelfde Nederlandse staat die als één van de laatste westerse landen de slavernij afschafte…..)

Als je dacht dat de ongeëmancipeerde Palm daarna zijn excuus maakte naar gekleurde luisteraars, heb je het geheel en al mis…….

* Vandaar ook dat het outsourcen van werk naar lagelonenlanden niets anders is dan een moderne vorm van slavernij…… (het ‘outsourcen van werk’ is het verplaatsen van werk naar een ander land)

Afgelopen
zaterdag is pas goed duidelijk geworden dat de activistische
voorstanders van zwarte piet een stel psychopathische fascisten is en
dat de politiek weigert om de gekleurde Nederlanders te
beschermen tegen geweld, vernedering, belediging, racisme en
discriminatie……

Vandaar
de volgende open brief tegen de racistische karikatuur van zwarte
piet, die verdedigt wordt door figuren die normaal de bek vol hebben met het recht op een vrije meningsuiting…….

Afgelopen
dinsdag verscheen in De Telegraaf een hetzerig en leugenachtig
artikel van de extreem-rechtse Wierd Duk en zijn collega Marcel Vink.
Met dat verschrikkelijke stuk riooljournalistiek werden Mitchell
Esajas en Jerry Afriyie, twee kartrekkers van de beweging tegen
Zwarte Piet, volop gedemoniseerd en gecriminaliseerd. Eerder schreef
Esajas, evenals Afriyie lid van Kick
Out Zwarte Piet(KOZP),
al een
reactie op
het artikel. Vandaag verscheen een open brief ter ondersteuning van
KOZP. Doorbraak roept iedereen op om deze open brief te ondertekenen.
Hieronder de integrale tekst daarvan.

            Kick Out Zwarte Piet

Donkere
dagen staan voor de deur. Niet vanwege de komende feestdagen, maar
omdat we zien dat oprecht betrokken burgers steeds verder in een hoek
gedreven worden. In verhitte debatten kan de toon uit de bocht
schieten, is het gebruik van hyperbolen soms effectief en loont het
soms zaken wat scherper voor te stellen. Dat hoort bij een vrije,
democratische samenleving. Anders wordt het echter, wanneer zaken
zodanig foutief worden voorgesteld dat het mensen in gevaar brengt.

Eerder
deze week bestond De Telegraaf het om Kick Out Zwarte Piet, en dan
met name Mitchell Esajas en Jerry Afriyie, in een groot, leugenachtig
stuk te demoniseren en criminaliseren: ze werden weggezet als
terroristen die een gevaar vormen voor Nederland en de Nederlandse
cultuur. Vorig jaar hebben we gezien wat het effect is van dit soort
propagandistische berichtgeving: op weg naar de demonstratie in
Dokkum werden anti-Zwarte Piet demonstranten midden op de snelweg
tegengehouden door een grote groep agressieve Friezen die opgejut
waren door de oproep van Jenny Douwes hen tegen te houden. Jenny
Douwes en haar mede-activisten zijn door de rechtbank veroordeeld,
maar voor de activisten is het gevaar niet geweken getuige het
artikel in de Telegraaf dat mensen het idee en gevoel geeft dat zij
een gevaar zijn dat gestopt moet worden.

Als
organisatie staat Kick Out Zwarte Piet voor gelijkheid. Ze zijn tegen
het personage Zwarte Piet, omdat die een racistische en kwetsende
karikatuur voorstelt van zwarte mensen. Daarmee beweren zij geenszins
dat liefhebbers van Zwarte Piet racisten zijn, ze willen zeker niet
het Sinterklaasfeest afschaffen en ze zijn ook niet van zins af te
rekenen met de “iconen van de Nederlandse cultuur”. KOZP strijdt
tegen racisme, gelooft in gelijkheid en vrijheid voor iedereen en
hoopt op een inclusief Sinterklaasfeest dat door alle kinderen,
ongeacht hun huidskleur, onbezorgd gevierd kan worden. Ze geloven
niet dat een kleurenpiet of roetveegpiet het feest teniet doet, maar
juist verrijkt.

Desondanks
schildert De Telegraaf, bij monde van hun journalist Wierd Duk, hen
af als gevaar. Eerst en vooral: het is de taak van journalisten
mensen feitelijk te informeren. Wanneer journalisten die taak laten
liggen en een activistische agenda dienen en persoonlijke kruistocht
voeren tegen andersdenkenden, is dat niet alleen schadelijk voor de
slachtoffers en de samenleving, maar ook voor de journalistiek.
Inmiddels horen we van mensen dat zij bang zijn te demonstreren en
hun mening te geven. Esajas en Afriyie voelen zich, ondanks hun
bewonderenswaardige volharding, gemarginaliseerd en ze maken zich
zorgen om hun veiligheid en die van hun kinderen en dierbaren.

Is
dit het Nederland dat we willen? Is dit waar het Sinterklaasfeest
voor staat? Onveiligheid en aantasting van grondrechten zoals
demonstratierecht en vrijheid van meningsuiting? Staat de zwarte
kleur van Piet boven alles en iedereen? We hopen oprecht van niet.

We
begrijpen dat er mensen zijn die het oneens zijn met KOZP; daarbij is
het belangrijk het te weten dat KOZP altijd en zonder voorbehoud het
gesprek met iedereen wil aangaan. Dat zij desondanks weggezet worden
en hun demonstratierecht wederom wordt beknot, vinden we bijzonder
zorgwekkend. De mensen achter KOZP hebben evenveel recht om te

worden door tegenstanders of de knuppel van de politie. Zij brengen
niemand in gevaar, schelden niemand uit, geen kind zal last van hen
ondervinden. Zeker dat laatste willen we, gezien de hetzerige
berichtgeving, benadrukken. Ze willen slechts met hun aanwezigheid
uiting geven aan hun mening en verdriet.

Laten
we niet vergeten: hun demonstratierecht is ook het uwe. Hun vrijheid

Wat een vertoning afgelopen zaterdag, de tegenstanders van zwarte piet werden belaagd door ‘hooligans’ en domkoppen die niet anders dan als fascisten kunnen worden aangeduid.

Met veel dom gelul verdedigt men het racistische fenomeen zwarte piet en betrekt daar de onschuldige kinderziel bij……. Ghislaine Plag van het Radio1 programma Spraakmakers liet in het onderdeel ‘Standpunt NL’ van schrik (voor fanatieke reacties) een paar fragmenten horen over het gebruik van de taser, zonder te stellen dat dit foute fragmenten waren bij de uitzending……

De Standpunt NL redactie vond ‘t nodig om een stelling te verzinnen, waarin werd gesteld dat demonstraties tegen zwarte piet verboden moeten worden (tja, als je het omkeert verlies je meteen een deel van je racistisch/fascistisch luistervolk, zoals politieke partijen bang zijn kiezers onder dat volk te verliezen….)….

Voorts was het ook op Spraakmakers veel gezeur over de tere kinderziel, die blijkbaar niet teer is als het gaat om het propageren van racistische gebruiken, zoals zwarte piet…..

AD ‘journalist’ Angela de Jong, ook aanwezig in de studio, liet weten dat zij niet gediend is van anti-zwarte piet demonstranten, die een kinderfeest komen verstieren. Een inbeller die nadrukkelijk stelde dat zij een moeder met een kind is en dat het schandalig is dat kinderen worden geconfronteerd met anti-zwarte piet demonstranten (en ze was bepaald niet de laatste)……

Er werd nog net niet gezegd dat deze demonstranten geweld hebben gebruikt, dat waren namelijk de hersenloze voorstanders van zwarte piet, figuren die hun kinderen koste wat kost bij willen brengen dat zwarte piet de normaalste zaak van de wereld is en er ‘gewoon’ bijhoort in Nederland…….

Wat moeten moeders met gekleurde kinderen tegen hun kroost zeggen, als ze in de weken voor en na sinterklaas worden gepest op straat en school? Tja kind, zwarte piet is een cultureel gebeuren in Nederland dat wij dienen te respecteren…??? Jaarlijks moeten deze Nederlanders de vernedering, belediging en discriminatie meemaken door de meer dan achterlijke zwarte piet figuur…..

De burgemeester van Den Helder, Schuiling ‘kan trots zijn’, op de wegen rond Den Helder werden tegenstanders van zwarte piet tegengehouden, daar ‘ze de orde zouden verstoren…..’ (terwijl de echte ordeverstoorders zoals gezegd de voorstanders van zwarte piet zijn….) Zegge en schrijve 4 tegenstanders wisten de afgeschermde plek te bereiken waar ze mochten ‘demonstreren…..’ Verder alleen voorstanders van deze enorme belediging en vernedering voor gekleurde Nederlanders…….

Het brommende ‘geschiedkundige’ orakel Maarten van Rossum durfde te stellen dat zwarte piet geen racistische karikatuur is en niets met het slavernijverleden van Nederland te maken heeft…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Oh, vandaar die oorbellen en domme geknechte zwarten die de witte sinterklaas moeten helpen…… Uiteraard is zwarte piet wel verbonden met het slavernijverleden, immers zwarten waren niet echt mensen, bovendien dom en slecht en dus klaar voor misbruik…… Vergeet niet dat slavernij ook van de kansel werd gepredikt…… Neem daarnaast het belachelijke sinterklaasliedje waarin wordt gezongen dat zwarte piet weliswaar zo zwart als roet is, maar het toch goed meent……

Blijkbaar vinden onze bestuurders in de lokale en landelijke politiek het normaal dat onze kinderen worden opgevoed met een racistisch denkbeeld van ‘geweldige blanken’ vs ‘domme gekleurde’ Nederlanders, die bovendien vooral slecht zijn……

De omgang met zwarte piet in Nederland geeft nog eens aan dat de overheden ook hier weinig of niets wensen te doen tegen het opkomend fascisme (zo werd door een aantal voorstanders van zwarte piet zelfs de Hitlergroet gebracht…..)

Het is weer om de oren van je hoofd te schamen dat je Nederlander bent……..

Google Maps veegt Palestijns gebied van de kaart

Nadat
Facebook al een paar jaar lang Palestijnen weert van haar platform,
kwam Middle East Monitor (MEMO) met het bericht dat Google Maps
Palestijnse gebieden als de Gazastrook en de West Bank niet meer als
dusdanig weergeeft op haar ‘i-landkaarten…….’

Blijkbaar
wil Google aantonen dat ook haar bedrijf de zionisten bedient tot het
einde, ook al zijn er bergen bewijs over de ongebreidelde agressie,
beter gezegd ‘terreur’ tegen Palestijnen door de illegaal gestichte
staat Israël……

Kortom
ook Google ziet Palestijnen niet als mensen, precies zoals Israël en
de westerse landen dat niet zien……… Alsof de Palestijnen
verantwoordelijk zijn voor de holocaust en de illegale stichting van
de staat Israël op het gebied van Palestina……*

De
hoogste tijd wellicht om Google voorgoed vaarwel te zeggen, echter
dat zal voor velen niet meevallen, neem alleen al dit blog………

Google Wipes Palestine Off the Map

(MEMO Op-ed) — Like
the other
Silicon Valley monopolies,
Google habitually takes the side of Israeli occupation and war crimes
in Palestine – the very term Palestine is not used by their highly
influential maps app.

A new
report by a Palestinian human rights group last
month exposed the depths of Google’s dedication to the Israeli
occupation.

With
a known history documented back more than 3,200 years, the name
“Palestine” is the only term continuously used for the entire
territory of the country lying between the Jordan River and the
Mediterranean Sea.

Palestine
is the most historically accurate term. But since
1948,
when Zionist militias expelled the majority of the Palestinian
population from the country by force, a new state, “Israel”, was
established.

That
state has never declared its borders.

Consequentially,
when speaking about “Israel” it is unclear exactly what territory
is being referred to. But Zionists of both the right and the “left”
commonly claim the entire historic territory of Palestine as the
“Land of Israel.”

The
new report,
by 7amleh (Hamleh), a Palestinian organisation advocating online
rights, details how Google seems to almost go out of its way to
eradicate the reality of Palestinian life.

In
2016, Google
came under fire from Palestinians on social media when
the terms “West Bank” and “Gaza” disappeared from Google
Maps. Google said that the removal of these terms was down to a
glitch and that they had never used the word Palestine in the first
place.

(The
West Bank and Gaza Strip are regions of Palestine that are important,
since they represent

the
remaining Palestinian territories which Israel failed to occupy in
1948. In
1967,
however, Israel took over those too.)

“Through
its mapping and labelling,” the 7amleh report explains, “one can
deduce that Google Maps recognises the existence of Israel, with
Jerusalem as its capital, but not Palestine.”

There
are further aspects of the way Google has wiped Palestinian life off
the map though. As the 7amleh report maps in some detail, Palestinian
villages in the Naqab (Negev desert) deemed “unrecognised” by
Israel (inside of what is sometimes termed “Israel proper” –
the territories of Palestine occupied in 1948) are not properly
mapped by Google.

These
villages are only visible in Google Maps “when zooming in very
closely,” the report explains, “but otherwise appear to be
non-existent. This means that when looking at Google Maps, these
villages appear to be not there.”

The
report details how small Israeli villages are “displayed even when
zoomed-out, while unrecognised Palestinian Bedouin villages,
regardless of their size are only visible when zooming in very
closely.”

This
is despite the fact that there “are in total 46 Bedouin villages in
the Naqab, the majority of which existed before Israel’s creation
in 1948. Some claim to have existed since the 7th century.”

Israel
has repeatedly attempted to physically remove these villages, but has
repeatedly failed, thanks to the resistance of the Palestinians who
live there, and thanks also to national and
international solidarity shown to those villages.

Their
Israeli (lack of) status as “unrecognised” also means that the
state refuses to connect the villages to basic services like water
and electricity – despite the fact that nearby Israeli-Jewish
settlements are given all the support possible.

As
Basma Abu-Qwaider, one Palestinian Naqab villager, explains in the
report:

“Google
Maps acts in a discriminatory manner towards the unrecognised village
the same [way] as the Israeli government does. Google ignores the
existence of these villages just like Israel and for me if you do not
exist on the map it means that you are invisible and that’s exactly
what Israel wants us to be.”

This
solidarity with Israeli racism expressed by Google’s helpful
attitude towards Israel’s wiping of

Palestinians
quite literally off the map extends across the 1967 “Green Line”
ceasefire boundary.

Palestinian
villages even within the “West Bank” area of the Jordan Valley
are not properly mapped by Google either. The report documents that
while Israeli settlements “can be seen when looking at the larger
area of the map” some Palestinian villages are only visible when
zoomed in – and even that only as a result of pressure being put on
by a human rights organisation.

Google
also refuses to recognise or map the reality of Israel’s apartheid
roads system for Palestinians.

As
part of Israel’s ongoing settler-colonisation of Palestine, large
parts of the West Bank – which is ruled by Israeli military decree
– are prohibited access for Palestinians. Many roads are reserved
for the use of Jews only.

Despite
the illegality of these practices under international law, Google’s
route-planning apps do not designate Israeli settlements in the West
Bank as illegal.

7amleh’s
report concludes: “Google Maps, as the largest global mapping and
route planning service, has the power to influence global public
opinion and therefore bears the responsibility to abide by
international human rights standards and to offer a service that
reflects the Palestinian reality.”

Google
should be compelled to end its complicity with Israeli racism and
apartheid.

De
39 jarige Terry James Albury, een voormalig FBI agent, kreeg 4 jaar onvoorwaardelijke
gevangenisstraf opgelegd door een rechter in Saint Paul, de
hoofdstad van Minnesota. Middels het lekken van 50
geheime documenten toonde Albury aan dat de FBI aan etnisch
profileren doet en zoals je begrijpt is dit etnisch profileren ontoelaatbaar, echter niet in de VS….*

Echter
in ‘the land of the free’ is alles mogelijk, dus ook een rechter die
vindt dat Albury met het lekken van deze documenten de
staatsveiligheid in gevaar heeft gebracht…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Ja, uiterst gevaarlijk als je bewijst dat de FBI een racistische
dienst is, de witten moeten natuurlijk wel ongestoord en in het geniep de zwarten
onder de duim kunnen houden, op wat voor manier dan ook……..

Onbegrijpelijk dat de rechter Albury schuldig verklaarde, ze is dan ook een witte rechter t.w.: Wilhelmina Wright…..

Inderdaad,
Albury hoort niet in psychopaten organisatie FBI, immers bij die organisatie ontbreekt het
aan elk moreel besef en integriteit!

Ongelofelijk te zien hoe Albury zich heeft gevoegd naar de aanklager en zichzelf de schuld in de schoenen schoof, dit in de hoop gevangenisstraf te ontlopen (het zogenaamde plea bargain**), terwijl deze klokkenluider op de schouders zou moeten worden gehesen door het openbaren van dit zware onrecht…..***  Ach ja, ook met klokkenluiders in Nederland loopt het veel te vaak slecht af……

A
former Minnesota FBI agent was sentenced to prison on Thursday in
Saint Paul’s U.S. District Court after leaking classified
information.

39-year-old
Terry James Albury left the courthouse as soon as he was handed down
his four year sentence plus an additional three years of supervised
release. He agreed to surrender to a date that will likely be
determined within the next 45-60 days according to KTSP.

Albury
pleads guilty
in April to
one count each of retention of national defense information
and unauthorized disclosure of national defense information. He
worked as a liaison with Border Protection at MSP International
Airport and Department of Customs in 2016-2017 and as an FBI
Special Agent in Minnesota within the same time period.

The
defendant held a Top Secret Information security clearance
because of his work with the FBI and had access to “sensitive and
classified FBI and other U.S. government information” according to
law officials.

The
prosecution claimed Albury stole more than 50 classified documents
and shared national defense information to a reporter from the online
news outlet Intercept. One of the documents classified as “secret”
included information on how to the FBI assesses confidential
informants and a document “relating to threats posed by
certain individuals from a particular Middle Eastern country.”

Albury
told the court he leaked the documents because he felt the FBI
policies were an act of racial profiling which he regarded as
“suspicion” and “disrespect.” His attorneys said Albury acted
out of “conscience” and was troubled by the racism within the
bureau.

U.S.
District Judge Wilhelmina Wright said Albury abused his position as
an FBI agent and placed the United States in danger.

“You
did so knowingly. You did so willingly,” Wright told Albury in
court. “You knew that what you did was a criminal act, and you knew
that you were putting the nation’s security at risk.”

She
added, “I’m not blind to the racism in our society… I’m not
blind to being a minority. … “But that’s not an excuse.”

Before
Wright sentenced the 39-year-old to prison, he told the judge,
“I sincerely wanted to make a difference a difference and
never wanted to put anyone in danger.”

The
defendant said he fully accepted “responsibility for what” he did
and apologized to his “family and former colleagues.”

Albury’s
legal team hoped he’d get probation because of his two young
children and wife. However, Judge Wright said his sentencing reflects
the seriousness of the offenses he committed and should hinder others
from doing the same.

Special
Agent Jill Sanborn who’s in charge of the Minneapolis Field
Division released the following statement:

“Former
Agent Albury’s conduct was an act of selfishness in an organization
full of selfless people and today’s sentence will serve as an
appropriate punishment for his criminal conduct. … He betrayed
his colleagues and the trust the public puts in the men and women of
the FBI to keep them and our communities safe.”

**  Plea bargain: je kan je in veel gevallen beter schuldig verklaren, zelfs als je iets niet gedaan hebt, daar je anders een veel hogere straf krijgt…. Naar zo’n land levert Nederland zelfs de eigen burgers uit…..

*** Vergeet daarbij niet dat na aanhouding middels etnisch profileren, jaarlijks ook nog eens een enorm aantal onschuldig mensen in de VS door de politie worden doodgeschoten, ofwel vermoord en dat alleen daar ze ‘de pech hebben’ gekleurd te zijn…… De VS ‘land of the free…’ (althans als je als burger wit bent, geen kritiek levert op de regering en geld op de bank hebt…..)

Unilever voor het gerecht gedaagd door ex-arbeiders in Kenia

Unilever Tea Kenya wordt door voormalige arbeiders van het bedrijf voor het gerecht gedaagd, nadat ze toestemming kregen om in beroep te gaan, zo meldde BBC World Service gisteren in het nieuws van 2.00 u. (CET). Eerder werden deze mensen in het ongelijk gesteld door het ‘gerecht…’

De arbeiders verwijten Unilever niets te hebben gedaan om hen te beschermen tijdens de onlusten in 2007, onlusten die uitbraken na de landelijke verkiezingen…..

Het was destijds al snel duidelijk dat het geweld ook behoorlijk etnisch was getekend, daar veel van de arbeiders van Unilever destijds van andere stammen kwamen, uit een ander deel van Kenia, dan de stammen in het gebied van de Unilever thee plantages.

Unilever heeft een zorgtaak voor haar arbeiders en heeft daar zwaar op verzaakt. Bovendien moesten de arbeiders vluchten voor het geweld (11 van hen werden gruwelijk vermoord) en vanaf dat moment heeft Unilever fijntjes de salarissen niet meer uitgekeerd…….. ‘Logisch’ want deze arbeiders verdienen jaarlijks ‘het enorme godsvermogen’ van (houd je vast) $ 500!!! (GGGVD!!)

Intussen blijft Unilever maar opscheppen hoe groen en duurzaam het bedrijf ‘wel niet is’, zo gebruikt het bedrijf zogenaamde duurzame palmolie, van plantages die niet illegaal zouden zijn gevestigd in landen als Indonesië en zelfs als dit waar is (aantoonbaar in een paar gevallen niet), kan palmolie nooit duurzaam zijn op onze aarde…… Immers zo lang de grote bedrijven palmolie blijven gebruiken zullen derden oerwoud plat blijven branden om zo ook een palmolieplantage te beginnen……..

Het is dan ook een schande dat palmolie in zoveel producten is verwerkt (zelfs bij Ekoplaza) en godbetert wordt aangezien voor biobrandstof, waarvoor het daadwerkelijk wordt toegevoegd aan diesel brandstof…… Palmolie is daarnaast allesbehalve goed voor je ingewanden en aderen, dit i.t.t. bijvoorbeeld (niet overmatig verhitte) olijfolie…….

Schunnig te horen dat Unilever het alweer laat liggen als het gaat om het welzijn van haar arbeiders, terwijl het daar zo over opschept……. Sterker nog: keer op keer bestrijdt Unilever met poepdure advocaten dat het nalatig is geweest in haar zorg voor haar arbeiders in Kenia…… Waar haalt dit geteisem het lef vandaan?? Het is zeker dat Unilever intussen al meer heeft uitgegeven aan advocaten en gerechtskosten, dan het fatsoenlijk schadeloos stellen van alle ex-arbeiders zou kosten…….

Unilever duurzaam? Laat me niet lachen!

Hundreds
of former employees of British-Dutch multi-national consumer goods
giant Unilever Plc have been granted permission to appeal a case in
which they are seeking damages from the company’s Kenyan subsidiary
Unilever Tea Kenya at the British Supreme Court.

The
tea workers had earlier suffered a blow after losing their appeal at
the UK High Court and subsequently at the UK Appeals Court in a case
in which they allege that Unilever Tea Kenya failed to protect them
from the ethnic violence in 2007.

The
tea workers accuse the Kericho-based UK company of “failing to
discharge a duty of care” to take “adequate steps to protect them
from violence” following the contested election of 2007, which saw
a wave of violence sweep across Kenya.

Over
1,300 people were killed at the time while many more were injured and
there was widespread damage to property.

The
218 claimants include the families of 11 victims who were brutally
killed in the violence and a large number of people who suffered
serious violent attacks, including gang rape.

They
allege that Unilever had placed their workers in a position of
“serious risk” because many of the workers were from tribes which
were not local to the area, so were specific targets of violence from
the majority tribe at times of social unrest.

The
claimants also allege that the relevant “crisis management
expertise” resided in Unilever PLC and that these experts were
responsible for ensuring that proper procedures were in place in
Unilever Tea Kenya and that people were trained.

Under
English law, a duty of care arises where there is “proximity,
foreseeability and where it is fair, just and reasonable to impose
such a duty.”

The
UK Court of Appeal however upheld a ruling by the High Court that the
tea producer “owed no duty of care” in relation to the operations
of its Kenyan subsidiary.

The
Court of Appeal judges further reasoned, that “if there is to be a
trial, it will have to take place in Kenya”.

They
added that in such circumstances, the Kenyan courts would be “better
placed to determine issues of foreseeability and what was fair, just
and reasonable in a Kenyan context.”

The
Court of Appeal dismissed the claimants appeal on the basis that
there was “insufficient” proximity between the claimants and
Unilever.

It
stated that the claimants were “nowhere near” being able to show
that they had a good arguable claim against Unilever.

Ahead
of the ruling, four UK Human rights groups had piled pressure on the
multinational urging it to take responsibility and reconsider the way
it is dealing with the case.

The
lobbies included REDRESS, the African Coalition for Corporate
Accountability (ACCA), CORE and Kituo Cha Sheria.

In
February last year the British High Court ruled in favour of Unilever
and its Kenyan subsidiary.
