Israël gaat wat betreft apartheid nog een heel stuk verder dan destijds het witte minderheidsbewind in Zuid-Afrika

Nathan Thrall heeft afgelopen week een
boek gepubliceerd waarin wordt betoogd dat Israël een
apartheidsstaat is. Volgens Scott Roth van Mondoweiss was het daarom
een slechte week voor aanhangers van Israël dat altijd wordt
bevooroordeeld in de reguliere media, echter ik denk niet dat men
daar ook maar een uur van wakker heeft gelegen in fanatieke
zionistische kringen.

De Israëlische mensenrechtenorganisatie
B’Tselem heeft een rapport uitgebracht dat de bevindingen van Thrall onderschrijft: Israël is een apartheidsstaat. Vindt e.e.a, nogal
overdreven immers iedereen met een paar hersencellen wist al lang dat Israël een apartheidsstaat is gezien de zeer inhumane wat zeg ik: barbaarse omgang met
Palestijnen.

Volkomen terecht stelt Roth dat de
apartheid van Israël veel verder gaat dan die destijds in Zuid-Afrika, niet alleen
werden en worden er veel meer ongewapende (Palestijnse) mensen
vermoord dan alles bij elkaar aan gekleurde burgers in Zuid-Afrika werd vermoord…… Ook wordt het leven van de Palestijnen onmogelijk gemaakt, zie
de grote ellende in de openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook en de enorme belemmeringen van
Palestijnen op de West Bank, zoals de boeren die niet meer bij hun grond
kunnen komen en de Palestijnen die dagelijks zwaar worden vernederd
bij de vele militaire blokkades die ze moeten passeren……..

Om nog maar te zwijgen over het moedwillig vernietigen van huizen en gebouwen van Palestijnen, waarbij Israël zelfs EU hulpprojecten voor de Palestijnen vernietigde en vernietigt….. De EU komt als het gaat om projecten van de EU altijd met zeer zwakke kritiek, maar de banden met Israël worden niet verbroken, laat staan dat men een boycot instelt tegen Israël, ‘boycots’ die destijds een eind maakten aan het apartheidsbewind in Zuid-Afrika……..

Verder moet niet vergeten worden dat het apartheidsbeleid van Israël in feite een langzame etnische zuivering is, immers de Palestijnen op de West bank en in de Gazastrook nemen als het hen te veel wordt de wijk naar het buitenland en ontvluchten daarmee de Israëlische terreur (en eenmaal buiten Israël krijgt men geen toestemming om terug te keren…..)….. Hierbij moet nog opgemerkt worden dat Palestijnen in de Gazastrook deze niet of bijzonder moeilijk kunnen verlaten, daar Israël de Gastrook behandelt als destijds de nazi’s het getto van Warschau

Last
week was a bit of a tough one for Israel’s supporters. Typically
they don’t have a tough time of it because they are invariably the
beneficiaries (if not a part themselves), of an apparatus that works
with elected representatives and the mainstream media to favor the
pro-Israel viewpoint; ideas and people critical of Israel don’t get
nearly the same attention in forums that are influential in shaping
most people’s opinions. Well, last week the London Review of Books
published a five thousand-word essay by Nathan Thrall that argues
that Israel
is an apartheid state.Then
B’Tselem, the Israeli human rights organization released
a report saying the same thing.Both
reports’ arguments are based on the idea that Israel is the
sovereign power in all the land between the river and the sea.

Supporters
of Israel’s brand of institutionalized,
legal racismhave
fought the “apartheid” for obvious reasons. Most of the world
with the notable exceptions of the United States and Israel (along
with a few others) viewed the South African regime with disgust.
Apartheid South Africa was BDS’d and eventually the regime fell.
“Apartheid” is a marketing disaster. The irony is that as awful
as the South African species of apartheid was, in practice it proved
to be far milder than that as practiced
in the name of Zionism.Hence
it’s sickening to watch as some of Israel’s supporters fall over
themselves to defend Israel from the charge, while the reality of the
situation Israel has imposed on Palestine is by many metrics – such
as the number of human beings killed by the alleged apartheid regime
– much more severe than anything the old regime in South Africa
ever committed. An objective observer might conclude that Israel is
getting off easy. Norman Finkelstein makes several important points
hereabout
Israeli apartheid’s complete disdain for Palestinian lives and the
vacuous defenses some of its supporters make in response to the
apartheid label.

It
was also a bad week for these folks because Sheldon Adelson, arguably
the man most responsible for enabling the
worstof
Israel’s excesses over the last twenty years, died.I
wouldn’t feel too bad for the pro-Israel camp though, a bad week
for them means they are embarrassed because the truth about Israel
gains traction and a big benefactor passes from the scene. No one
gets hurt and no one’s house gets demolished. For people on the
other side a bad week is really really bad, lots of people get hurt,
lots of houses get destroyed along with many other awful things. And
it’s possible that that can get worse after the next round of
Israel’s
apartheid elections.

Robert
Bridge schreef een artikel op SCF (door mij overgenomen van
Information Clearing House) waarin hij de draak steekt met de
mediaorgaan Bloomberg en de Democraten in de VS. Boven de kop meende
Bridge te moeten zeggen dat het om satire gaat, daar hij anders wel
eens serieus zou kunnen worden genomen en inderdaad sinds de
presidentsverkiezingen van 2016 lijkt heel de VS wel
knettergek……. (hoewel, sinds 2016, of moeten we niet veel verder terug?)

Bloomberg
berichtte dat er onderzoek wordt gedaan of Rusland bezig is met het
besmeuren van Joe Biden vanwege zijn rol en die van zijn zoon, in een
witwas schandaal met de firma Burisma waarvoor zijn zoon werkte en gezien de staat van de economie in Oekraïne het meer dan waanzinnige bedrag van 50.000 dollar per maand verdiende……*

Alsof
Biden en zijn zoon niet mans genoeg zijn geweest in het besmeuren van
de eigen naam, Joe Biden gaf NB toe dat hij Oekraïne onder druk had
gezet met de mededeling dat VS wapenhulp wel eens zou kunnen worden
teruggedraaid als het de openbaar aanklager die onderzoek deed naar
de witwaspraktijken van Hunter Biden niet ontslagen zou worden,
(nogmaals:) Hunter Biden die voor een achterlijk hoog salaris werkte voor
Burisma…… Anders gezegd: het strafrechtelijk onderzoek naar
Hunter Biden (dat volkomen terecht werd ingesteld) moest worden stopgezet daar Oekraïne anders wapenhulp van de VS kon vergeten…..

Uiteraard heeft Joe Biden nooit openlijk toegegeven dat de openbaar aanklager moest worden ontslagen daar hij onderzoek deed naar zijn zoon, nee de openbaar aanklager zou niet geschikt zijn geweest om corruptie te onderzoeken…….

Bridge
heeft een hoogst humoristisch stuk geschreven over deze zaak, waarin
hij de Democraten die nu al denken dat ze de verkiezingen in november
zullen verliezen, volkomen belachelijk maakt…. De impeachment
procedure die de Democraten hebben ingesteld tegen Trump kost hen
vrijwel zeker het presidentschap en als in 2016 wil men daar anderen
de schuld van geven, zoals destijds is Rusland nu al de klos…….*

De
hele Russiagate zaak is een flop geworden en toch houden de
Democraten en de reguliere VS media aan de kant van de Democraten
(inclusief zo ongeveer de hele reguliere westerse pers buiten de VS) Rusland schuldig aan het verlies van oorlogsmisdadiger Clinton….. Rusland zou met het ‘waanzinnige budget’ van 100.000 dollar de
verkiezingen in 2016 hebben gemanipuleerd ten gunste van Trump, waar dit bedrag volkomen in het niet valt
vergeleken met de honderden miljoenen die werden uitgegeven aan die
verkiezingen……..

suppose it is necessary, considering the bleak and humorless times we
live in, to immediately start by acknowledging that the headline is
meant as satire, what Webster defines as a form of “ridicule to
expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in
the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.”

In other words, nyet,
the Kremlin does not have a hotline to the American brain that can
trigger card-carrying Democrats to enter a catatonic trance on
Election Day and vote against Joe Biden, or any of the other flawless
Democratic gems for that matter. By this time, especially following
the release of the Mueller Report, you would think that conspiracy
theories involving Russia and American democracy would have subsided;
instead they’ve only escalated as the U.S. enters the hot end of
the 2020 presidential election campaign.

So how exactly does
Russia, in a scene straight out of A Clockwork Orange, tap into the
frontal lobe section of the U.S. electorate and cause them to lose
all confidence in their political favorites?

“A signature trait
of Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘is his ability to convince
people of outright falsehoods,’ William Evanina, director of the
National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC), said in a
statement. ‘In America, [the Russians are] using social media and
many other tools to inflame social divisions, promote conspiracy
theories and sow distrust in our democracy and elections.’”

Yes, somehow those
dastardly Russians have outsmarted the brightest and best-paid
political strategists in Washington, D.C. by brandishing what amounts
to some really persuasive memes over social media, and for just
rubles on the dollar. The techies at Wired went
so far as to call this epic assault on the fragile American
cranium, “meme warfare to divide America.” By way of evidence, it
cited a very creative meme that screamed, “F*CK THE ELECTIONS,”
which was intended, as the ironclad argument goes, to cause a number
of impressionable Americans to throw up their hands in a fit of
collective exasperation and say, ‘Ok, that’s it. I’m staying at
home on Election Day.’

Yes, it’s really
that easy! Imagine all the money the Russians and their radical new
political technologies could have saved guys like casino tycoon,
Sheldon Adelson, who showered
the Trump campaign with $100 million dollars.

Many of those divisive
Russian messages wormed their way onto Facebook, purportedly, where
God only knows how many voter brains’ turned to maggots and mush
just staring at them. Yet one individual who actually recalls seeing
one or two of these dangerous memes was Rob Goldman, former Vice
President for Advertising on Facebook, who revealed via Twitter,
another infected social media platform, some interesting information:

“Most of the
coverage of Russian meddling involves their attempt to effect the
outcome of the 2016 U.S. election. I have seen all of the Russian ads
and I can say very definitively that swaying the election was *NOT*
the main goal.”

Clearly, Goldman seems
to have been under the sway of some folk Russian brainwashing
technique, probably passed down from the time of Rasputin. In any
case, Donald Trump himself took great satisfaction from that
particular revelation, retweeting it to his millions of minions.

or may not be relevant, but Goldman retired
from Facebook in October 2019 after seven years with the company.

Russia,
the gift that keeps on giving

Not only have the
Democrats been able to use the Russia bogeyman as their excuse for
losing the White House in 2016, they are able to summon this distant
nuclear power whenever they wish to curb internet freedoms, which is
pretty much every day now.

Now, fun-loving memes
are under attack and may soon go the way of the DoDo bird (“A small
office of Russian trolls could derail 241 years of U.S. political
history with a handful of dank memes and an advertising budget that
would barely buy you a billboard in Brooklyn,” screamed insanely
The
Guardian). At the same time, the freedom of speech is getting
destroyed
by vapid accusations of ‘hate speech,’ which, unless used to
incite violence, is a totally meaningless term used to eliminate any
conversation that is undesirable to the elite.

Meanwhile, only the
mainstream media these days are permitted
to dabble in ‘conspiracy theories’ even as their own false
narratives have contributed to the pulverization of entire nations,
as was the case in Iraq, for example, which sustained a full-blown
U.S. military invasion in 2003 following debunked claims that Saddam
Hussein was harboring weapons of mass destruction. That was the
mother of all conspiracy theories that was pushed unchallenged by the
mainstream media.

So back to Joe Biden.

Do intelligent
Americans really need help from Russia to prove that just maybe the
former Vice President is mentally and physically unfit to stand for
the White House? Probably not. From whispering sweet nothings into
the ears of any female within groping distance, to sucking on his
wife’s fingertips at a political rally, something just doesn’t
seem altogether right upstairs with Joe Biden. So what is the real
story for dragging Russia, once again, into the internal swamp pit
known as Washington, D.C.?

The Bloomberg article
provides a big hint: “This time around, the narrative about Biden
and Ukraine is … well-publicized and being advanced by Trump, his
personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and the president’s Republican
allies in Congress.”

And that “narrative”
has everything to do with not only the Democrats’ frozen
impeachment proceedings against the U.S. leader, which promises to
have major connections to Ukraine, Joe Biden and his son Hunter, and
quite possibly dozens of other top Democrats. In other words, the
Democrats understand that pushing ahead with impeachment could be
their ultimate downfall.

Although few Americans
seem to remember that back in May of 2019, Trump granted
U.S. Attorney General William Barr “full and complete authority”
to investigate exactly how claims that Trump was ‘conspiring with
the Kremlin’ in the 2016 presidential election had originated, the
Democrats certainly have not.

Their bogus ‘Russian
collusion’ claim provided the rationale for a four-year-long ‘witch
hunt’ that began when the Democrats, relying on the flimsy findings
contained in the so-called ‘Steele dossier, managed to get approval
from the FISA court to spy on the Trump campaign. Now, some
top-ranking Democrats – never imagining Hillary Clinton would
actually lose in 2016 – are understandably nervous as to what Barr
and his assistant, federal attorney John Durham will divulge to the
public in the coming months.

With so much riding on
the line in 2020, is anyone surprised that Bloomberg, the news
affiliate owned and operated by Democratic contender Michael
Bloomberg, is now reporting “U.S. officials are warning that
Russia’s election interference in 2020 could be more brazen than in
the 2016 presidential race or the 2018 midterm election.”

In other words, the
racist ploy used by Democrats to explain their monumental defeat in
2016 did not end with the Mueller Report. The conspiracy theory,
promulgated by a media that is in effect just another branch of the
Democratic National Committee (DNC), is being primed to explain not only
possible criminal charges aimed at top Democrats in the coming
months, but how Democrats, like Michael Bloomberg, failed once again
to beat the seemingly unstoppable incumbent, Donald Trump.

Seth Rich, een lid van Clintons team lekte de mails, daar hij kwaad was over het smerige spel van Clinton, hij werd later dood gevonden op straat, vermoord in een roofoverval aldus de politie, terwijl hij zijn zichtbare sieraden nog steeds droeg toen men hem vond, er werd zelfs geen dollar uit zijn portemonnee gestolen…….

De
grootste donor van politici in de VS en van de Trump campagne is
niet Rusland, noch heeft Rusland de verkiezingen of het beleid van
Trump kunnen beïnvloeden, nee die grootste donor en manipulator van de VS presidentsverkiezingen en die achter het buitenlandbeleid van de Trump administratie, is zionist en casino
biljonair Sheldon Adelson.

Deze
Adelson is ronduit een ultrarechtse rotploert, zeg maar gerust
fascist, die het liefst Iran zou willen aanvallen met kernraketten,
zelfs zonder enige aanleiding daartoe, zoals hij al eens heeft opgemerkt…….

Met donaties van figuren als Adelson en het ongelofelijk smerig campagne voeren van hare
kwaadaardigheid Hillary Clinton, kon Trump het presidentschap van de VS bemachtigen. Eén en ander heeft Adelson geen windeieren gelegd, hij
heeft zoals gezegd een dikke vinger in de VS buitenlandpolitiek……

Zo heeft
Adelson regelmatig één op één contact met Trump en heeft hij
het voor elkaar gekregen dat de VS haar ambassade naar Jeruzalem
heeft verplaatst (althans een deel van die ambassade)…… Voorts
heeft hij Trump zover gekregen geen humanitaire hulp meer te geven
aan de Palestijnen, die Adelson nog liever vandaag dan morgen zou
willen vernietigen…… Sterker nog: Adelson ontkent domweg dat er
sprake is van Palestijnen, ofwel het zijn ‘gewoon vieze arabieren waar je maar één
ding mee kan doen…..’ (dat laatste heeft hij niet letterlijk gezegd echter dit is wel tussen de regels door te lezen…) De intrekking van het budget voor de VN organisatie t.b.v. Palestijnse vluchtelingen, de UNRWA door Trump, is dan ook te danken aan de inzet van Adelson…..*

Uiteraard
heeft Adelson bij Trump gelobbyd voor vrienden van hem, zoals hare
kwaadaardigheid Nikki Haley, opperploert Mike Pompeo en
oorlogsmisdadiger John Bolton…….

Het zal
je niet verbazen dat Adelson de pest heeft aan democratie, zoals hij
meer dan eens heeft gezegd…..

Vergeet verder niet dat de corrupte Israëlische Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu, in aanloop naar de presidentsverkiezingen, openlijk in het congres anti-Iraanse propaganda mocht oplepelen, waarna hij het advies gaf republikeins te stemmen, daar Obama hem zou hebben laten zitten en dat in een land waar een groot deel van het volk blindelings achter de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël staat……. (MPN) — According
to publicly available campaign finance data, Sheldon Adelson – the
conservative, Zionist, casino billionaire –is now the
biggest spender on federal elections in
all of American politics. Adelson, who was the top donor to Donald
Trump’s presidential campaign and the Republican Party in 2016, has
cemented his role as the top political donor in the country after
giving $55 million in recent months to Republicans in an effort to
help the party keep its majority in both houses of Congress.

Adelson’s
willingness to help the GOP stay in power is likely born out of his
desire to protect the massive investment he placed in the party last
election cycle. In 2016, the Republican mega-donor gave
heavily to
the Trump campaign and Republicans, donating $35 million to the
former and $55 million to the top two Republican Super PACs — the
Congressional Leadership Fund and the Senate Leadership Fund —
during that election cycle.

Adelson’s
decision to again donate tens of millions of dollars to Republican
efforts to stay in power is a direct consequence of how successfully
Adelson has been able to influence U.S. policy since Trump and the
GOP rode to victory in the last election cycle.

A New
York Times article
on Adelson, titled “Sheldon
Adelson Sees a Lot to Like in Trump’s Washington,”
notes that Adelson “enjoys a direct line to the president.”
Furthermore, Adelson and Trump regularly meet once a month “in
private in-person meetings and phone conversations” that Adelson
has used to push major changes to U.S. policy that Trump has made
reality — such as moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to
Jerusalem and cutting aid to Palestinian refugees, among others.

Adelson’s
new title as the top spender in all U.S. elections shows that he,
along with his wife, is willing to spend big to keep that direct line
open in the months and years ahead. Citing sources close to the
Adelsons, the Times writes that
the Adelsons’ massive expenditures in federal elections this cycle
are being made because he and his wife believe that “Republican
control of the House and the Senate is so vital to maintaining these
[right-wing and pro-Zionist] policies” and their influence in
Washington and at the White House.

“Pleased
as Punch”

The
fact that Adelson is “pleased-as-punch”
with Trump’s performance as president should hardly come as a
surprise, given that the president has fulfilled his campaign
promises that were of prime importance to Adelson, while many of his
other campaign promises – namely those that were populist or
anti-war in nature – have rung hollow.

These
Adelson-promoted policies include the moving of the U.S. embassy in
Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which Adelson had aggressively
promoted and even helped
to finance,
as well as removing the
U.S. from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), better
known as the Iran nuclear deal. Another recent policy move bearing
Adelson’s fingerprints is the U.S. decision to withdraw its funding
for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees
(UNRWA), as Adelson once
infamously stated that
“there’s no such thing as a Palestinian.”

As
previously mentioned, The
New York Times recently
noted that
the cutting of aid to Palestinians, the U.S.’ removal from JCPOA,
and the Jerusalem embassy move all resulted from private
in-person meetings and phone conversations between Adelson and Trump.

Adelson
has also been successful in stocking the Trump administration with
politicians he has long supported as well as his confidantes.
Adelson-supported appointees include Nikki Haley, long-time
recipient of
Adelson campaign funds who now serves as U.S.
ambassador to the UN;
Mike Pompeo, former CIA director who has advocated for bombing
Iran and
now serves as secretary
of state;
and John Bolton, a close
confidante of Adelson,
who is now national security adviser.

Adelson
was also
instrumental in
removing Pompeo and Bolton’s predecessors, Rex Tillerson and H.R.
McMaster, from their respective posts, owing to their support for
JCPOA and their alleged “anti-Israel”
positions.
Speculation has recently grown that Secretary of Defense James
Mattis may
share their fate for
similarly opposing Adelson’s positions.

Yet,
upon closer examination, these Adelson-driven personnel and policy
moves enacted by Trump seem to merely be the foundation for the
so-called “Adelson
agenda,”
a set of convergent goals that could potentially result in thousands
of deaths in the Middle East and embroil the U.S. in yet another
regime-change war.

To
Show That “We Mean Business”

While
Adelson’s top-donor status has allowed him unprecedented access to
the Trump administration and has resulted in dramatic changes to U.S.
policy, there is every indication that the worst is yet to come. This
is because, while the Adelson’s past efforts to influence Trump
administration policy have had undeniably negative effects, they have
yet to embroil the U.S. in another regime-change war or lead to the
destruction of entire nations.

Yet,
the current path the administration is treading at Adelson’s behest
— particularly regarding Iran, Syria and Palestine — has the
potential to unleash havoc in the Middle East and beyond, in a way
not yet seen during Trump’s young presidency.

Indeed,
one need only look at Adelson’s past statements on Iran to
understand just how dangerous this man’s influence is to any
prospect of peace in the Middle East.

As
an example, during the negotiations that eventually led to the Iran
nuclear deal, Adelson
publicly advocated for
a U.S. nuclear attack on Iran without
provocation, so
the U.S. could “impose its demands [on Iran] from a position of
strength.”

More
specifically, Adelson’s “negotiation” plan involved the U.S.
dropping a nuclear bomb in the middle of the Iranian desert and then
threatening to drop “the next one […] in the middle of Tehran”
to show that “we mean business.” Tehran, Iran’s capital, is
home to nearly 9 million people with 15 million more in its suburbs.
Were Tehran to be attacked with nuclear weapons, an
estimated 7 million would
die within moments.

Furthermore,
any sort of diplomatic engagement with Iran, according
to Adelson,
is “the worst negotiating tactic I could ever imagine.”

In
other words, Adelson’s vision for engaging Iran considers the
dropping of nuclear weapons on a country, including its heavily
populated capital city — for no reason other than to show that the
U.S. “means business” — a reasonable tactic.

With
the Trump administration now applying “maximum pressure” to Iran,
Adelson’s vision for engaging the Islamic Republic is of critical
importance. For instance, if this “maximum pressure” campaign —
currently a combination of draconian sanctions, bullying Iran’s
trading partners, and covert CIA-driven regime-change operations —
ultimately fails, Adelson is likely to push Trump towards more
drastic “negotiation” tactics in order to force Iran into a “new
treaty” designed by and for pro-Israel interests that seek to
eliminate Iran as a regional player. Given that many entities–
including Europe, China and Turkey — are rejecting U.S. calls to
isolate Iran, this is a likely scenario that must be considered.

As
his past statements make clear, Adelson — in such a case — is
likely to pressure Trump to use military tactics, such as preemptive
bombings, to force Iran to yield. Even though such a move would
likely embroil Iran, the U.S. and potentially other important nations
in a major war, Trump has shown that he has so far been willing to
take Adelson’s “advice” regardless of consequences, including
international backlash or even war.

Meet
Your New Overlord: Adelson Driving Both US and Israeli Policy Behind
the Scenes

Beyond
the fact that Adelson’s unprecedented influence on U.S. politics is
set to create much more instability than past policies he has
promoted, lies another unsettling truth: for less than $150 million —
pocket change for such a plutocrat — Adelson has effectively bought
the presidency and Congress. His role as top political donor has
given him a “direct line” to the president and unprecedented
access to the Republican party, who are beholden to his desires and
whims as their paymaster.

Indeed,
crossing Adelson — as shown by the high-profile firings of McMaster
and Tillerson — has its steep price, and obeying Adelson now seems
to be the most essential step that Trump and other Republicans must
follow to stay in power.

Furthermore,
Adelson is also the
primary driver behind
Israeli policy, given his role as a key donor to and long-time backer
of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his role as owner
and funder of
Israel’s most widely circulated Hebrew-language newspaper, Israel
Hayom.
Thus, when considering critiques of U.S. politics as unduly
influenced by Israel, Adelson’s role is again clear as day. If
Israel is driving the U.S.’s foreign policy, it is not only because
Adelson wills it but because Adelson is personally
driving the policies of both the
U.S. and Israel.

In
2014, a Princeton University study demonstrated
that —
beyond any doubt — the U.S. is an oligarchy, beholden to the
interests of the rich and the powerful, not the interests of the
majority of its citizens. Though the presence and power of the
oligarchy is nothing new, what is notable is that a massive chunk of
it is now under the control of a single individual — a man who has
repeatedly shown that he has no empathy or respect for human life and
is entirely
on board with
totalitarianism. Indeed, Adelson has made it clear time
and again that
he is no fan of democracy.

Americans,
meet your new, unelected overlord — Sheldon Adelson — because, as
long as the U.S. political system is “hostage
to his fortune,”
he’s not going anywhere.
