Volgens
Iraakse geheime dienst medewerkers werd de raketaanval van 27
december jl., die aan een VS aannemer het leven kostte*,
niet uitgevoerd door de Iraanse militie Kata’ib Hezbollah, maar door
IS (ISIS)…… De Iraakse generaal Ahmed Adnan, hoofd van de geheime dienst van
de federale politie op luchtmachtbasis K-1, stelde dat alles wijst op
een aanslag van IS, of Daesh zoals hij deze terreurgroep
aanduidt…….
De VS
heeft onbeschoft genoeg (zeker naar de overheid van Irak) geen enkel
bewijs overgeleverd waaruit blijkt dat de Hezbollah militie
verantwoordelijk was voor de raketaanval. Bovendien moet niet
vergeten worden dat de VS ook met deze Iraanse militie heeft samengewerkt
tegen IS, precies zoals het leger van de VS (dat in feite niets te
zoeken heeft in het Midden-Oosten) samenwerkte met generaal Soleimani
in het bestrijden van IS……..
De
Hezbollah militie is zelfs al sinds 2014 niet meer in de Iraakse
provincie Kirkoek geweest, de provincie waar de raketaanval plaatsvond, terwijl
IS daar nog kort tevoren aanvallen uitvoerde…. Voorts werden de
raketten afgevuurd uit een gebied dat wordt beheerd door soennitische
terreurgroepen…. Uitermate vreemd te moeten lezen dat de VS in
november en december vorig jaar werd gewaarschuwd voor een IS aanval
op luchtmachtbasis K-1, een Iraakse luchtmachtbasis die door de VS
wordt gebruikt, maar daar blijkbaar niets mee heeft gedaan.
Kortom
IS heeft de VS aangevallen en als gevolg daarvan was het bijna oorlog
tussen Iran en de VS (dat overigens al jaren een fikse stok zoekt om
Iran mee te slaan en wat dat betreft blijft de VS het Midden-Oosten
destabiliseren, verder is het niet ondenkbaar dat Trump zal besluiten
om Iran alsnog aan te vallen……
Vergeet niet dat alleen de
sancties van de VS tegen Iran in feite al een oorlogsverklaring vormen aan het adres
van het Iraanse volk, dat moet leiden onder de sancties zodat ze in
opstand komen tegen het bewind, een tactiek die de VS al zo vaak
eerder heeft gebruikt…… Benieuwd hoeveel slachtoffers deze
smerige VS sancties tegen Iran al hebben gemaakt onder kinderen,
chronisch patiënten en ouderen in dat land……
Als nu nog naar buiten komt dat de VS de luchtverdediging van het Iraanse leger heeft gestoorde tijdens het neerhalen van vlucht PS752, kan het zich weer op de borst kloppen voor een groot aantal extra doden (waaronder een flink aantal Iraniërs) op de meer dan 2,5 miljoen door de VS vermoorde mensen sinds 2001…..**
De VS,
onbetwist verreweg de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine
aarde……..

Iraqi
Officials Say ISIS—Not Iran—Behind Attack Trump Used to Justify
Soleimani Assassination
(CD) — In
a “bombshell”
revelation that calls into question one of the Trump administration’s
stated justificiations for assassinating Iranian Gen. Qasem
Soleimani—a move that nearly sparked a region-wide military
conflict—Iraqi intelligence officials told the New
York Times that
they believe ISIS, not an Iran-linked militia, was likely responsible
for the Dec. 27 rocket attack that killed an American contractor at
an air base near Kirkuk, Iraq.
The Times reported
Thursday that “Iraqi military and intelligence officials have
raised doubts about who fired the rockets… saying they believe it
is unlikely that the militia the United States blamed for the attack”
was responsible.
“All the indications are that it
was Daesh,” Brigadier General Ahmed Adnan, the Iraqi chief of
intelligence for the federal police at the K-1 air base, told
the Times,
using the Arabic acronym for ISIS. “We know Daesh’s movements.”
The
Trump administration has not released a single piece of evidence
showing that the Iraqi militia Khataib Hezbollah, which has ties to
Iran, was responsible for the attack on K-1. The group has denied
carrying out the attack.
The
U.S. responded to the rocket attack days later with deadly
airstrikes on Khataib Hezbollah targets in Iraq and Syria,
setting off a dangerous escalatory spiral that brought Iran and the
U.S. to the brink of war.
On Jan. 2, the
U.S. assassinated Soleimani
with a drone strike in Baghdad ordered by President Donald Trump.
Following the assassination, which was widely condemned as an act of
war, the U.S. Department of Defense issued a statement claiming
without evidence that Soleimani “orchestrated attacks on coalition
bases in Iraq over the last several months—including the attack on
December 27th—culminating in the death and wounding of additional
American and Iraqi personnel.”
But Iraqi officials told
the Times that
“based on circumstantial evidence and long experience in the area
where the attack took place,” there is good reason to be skeptical
about U.S. claims that Khataib Hezbollah was behind it.
As the Times reported:
The
rockets were launched from a Sunni Muslim part of Kirkuk Province
notorious for attacks by the Islamic State, a Sunni terrorist group,
which would have made the area hostile territory for a Shiite militia
like Khataib Hezbollah.
Khataib Hezbollah has not
had a presence in Kirkuk Province since 2014.
The Islamic State,
however, had carried out three attacks relatively close to the base
in the 10 days before the attack on K-1. Iraqi intelligence officials
sent reports to the Americans in November and December warning that
ISIS intended to target K-1, an Iraqi air base in Kirkuk Province
that is also used by American forces…
These facts all point to
the Islamic State, Iraqi officials say.
“We as Iraqi forces cannot even
come to this area unless we have a large force because it is not
secure,” Brig. Gen. Adnan said of the area from which the rocket
attack was launched. “How could it be that someone who doesn’t
know the area could come here and find that firing position and
launch an attack?”
In response to the Times report,
Jamal Abdi, president of the National Iranian American
Council, tweeted:
“Al-Qaeda attacked the U.S. on 9/11 and we went to war with Iraq.
If this report is true, ISIS attacked the U.S. and we nearly went to
war with Iran.”
The US almost started WWIII based on questionable evidence.

U.S. officials insisted to
the Times that
they have “solid evidence” showing that Khataib Hezbollah carried
out the attack, but they have not released any of this evidence to
the public or to Iraqi officials.
“We have requested the American
side to share with us any information, any evidence, but they have
not sent us any information,” Lt. Gen. Muhammad al-Bayati, chief of
staff for former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, told the Times.
Ilan Goldenberg, Middle East
security director at the Center for a New American Security think
tank, tweeted that
the U.S. Congress “must ask questions about this and get the
intel.”

sancties die de VS eenzijdig en dus illegaal oplegt aan landen die
haar niet welgevallig zijn, zijn niets anders dan grove
oorlogsmisdaden waardoor zelfs mensen om het leven komen….. Even ter herinnering: in de 90er jaren van de
vorige eeuw legde de VS eenzijdig sancties op aan Irak, daardoor
kwamen 500.000 Irakese kinderen om het leven, ofwel die werden in feite
vermoord door de VS…. De minister van buitenlandse zaken destijds (onder
opperschoft Clinton) was de Democraat en oorlogsmisdadiger Madeleine Albright,
toen deze psychopaat in 1996 werd geconfronteerd met dit feit en haar werd gevraagd
of ze er geen spijt van had, antwoordde deze enorme hufter
dat ze daar geen seconde spijt van heeft gehad en dat het e.e.a.
het waard was geweest…..
Ook nu zijn kinderen en andere zwakke mensen de klos, zo zorgen de sancties tegen Iran ervoor dat belangrijke middelen tegen (kinder-) kanker niet meer te krijgen zijn, of zo duur zijn dat praktisch niemand ze kan betalen…….. Wat mij betreft een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid!!
De VS legt landen sancties op, die zoals gezegd vooral de zwakste burgers treffen (‘treffen’: letterlijk en figuurlijk)…….. Door deze illegale sancties ontstaan er voorts tekorten op allerlei gebieden, waardoor de economie in het slop raakt, daarop geeft de VS het land de schuld, bijvoorbeeld door te wijzen op een ‘lamlendig economisch beleid’, of door in geval van een links geregeerd land het socialisme de schuld te geven……… (tegelijk organiseert de CIA dan demonstraties, waarbij men het liefst ook op de demonstranten laat schieten door ingehuurde scherpschutter moordenaars, om daarmee de regering van zo’n land nog meer zwart te maken….) De VS hoopt daarmee een opstand te ontketenen in zo’n land*, terwijl de wat beter geïnformeerden weten dat de VS de schuld is van de ellende juist door die sancties, zie Venezuela en Oekraïne, waar deze smerige vorm van terreur bij de eerste (nog) geen succes heeft, waar het bij de laatste, zoals bekend, wel is gelukt……
Gelukkig ontstaat er wereldwijd steeds meer weerstand tegen deze smerige VS terreur, (beter is dit smerige spel niet aan te duiden, sancties die intussen tegen 39 landen (!!) worden toegepast en uiteraard voelen andere landen daar ook de gevolgen van, immers bedrijven kunnen geen handel meer drijven, daar de wereld afhankelijk is van de dollar als betalingsmiddel en de VS juist de bedrijven straft die toch leveren ondanks de sancties…… Rusland is intussen klaar voor de introductie van een nieuw internationaal betalingssysteem zodat het systeem van de VS, te weten: SWIFT, uitgerangeerd kan worden.

–The
United States is relying more heavily on illegal unilateral coercive
measures (also known as economic sanctions) in place of war or as
part of its build-up to war. In fact, economic sanctions are an act
of war that kills tens of thousands of people each year through
financial strangulation. An economic blockade places a country under
siege.
A recent example is
the increase in economic measures being imposed against Iran, which
many viewed as more acceptable than a military attack. In response to
Iran retaliating for the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani
and seven other people, Iran used ballistic missiles to strike two
bases in Iraq that house U.S. troops. President Trump responded by
saying he would impose more sanctions on Iran. Then he ended his
comments by urging peace negotiations with Iran. The United States
needs to understand there will be no negotiations with Iran until the
U.S. lifts sanctions that seek to destroy the Iranian economy and
turn the people against their government.
The sanctions on Iran
have been in place since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which made that
country independent of the United States. Iran is not the only
country being sanctioned by the United States. Samuel Moncada,
the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations, speaking to the
summit of the Non-Aligned Movement of 120 nations on October 26,
2019, denounced the imposition of sanctions by the U.S., as “economic
terrorism which affects
a third of humanity with more than 8,000 measures in 39 countries.”
It is time to end U.S.
economic warfare and repeal these unilateral coercive measures, which violate
international law.
Muhammad Sahimi writes
that in a “letter published by The
Lancet,
the prestigious medical journal, three doctors working in Tehran’s
MAHAK Pediatric Cancer Treatment and Research Center warned
that, ‘Re-establishment of sanctions, scarcity of drugs due to
the reluctance of pharmaceutical companies to deal with Iran, and a
tremendous increase in oncology drug prices [due to the plummeting
value of the Iranian rial by 50–70%], will inevitably lead to a
decrease in survival of children with cancer.’”
Diabetes, multiple
sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and asthma
affect over ten million Iranians who will find essential medicines
impossible to get or available only at high prices. The U.S. claims
that food and medicines are excluded from sanctions but in practice,
they are not because pharmaceutical companies fear sanctions being
applied to them over some technical violation and Iran cannot pay for
essentials when banks can’t do business with it. European
nations failed
to persuade the Trump administration to ensure that
essential medicine and food were available to Iranians.
In Venezuela, due
to the sanctions, 180,000 medical operations have been
canceled and 823,000 chronically ill patients are awaiting medicines.
The Center for Economic and Policy
Research found sanctions
have deprived Venezuela of “billions of dollars of foreign
exchange needed to pay for essential and life-saving imports,”
contributing to 40,000 total deaths in 2017 and 2018. More than
300,000 Venezuelans are at risk due to a lack of access to medicine
or treatment. Economists warn U.S. sanctions
could cause famine in Venezuela. Sanctions also
cause shortages of parts and equipment needed for
electricity generation, water systems, and transportation as well as
preventing participation in the global financial market. Sanctions,
which are illegal
under the UN, OAS and US law, have caused mass
protests in Venezuela against the U.S.
Sanctions against Iran
and Venezuela could be a prelude to military attack, i.e. the US
weakening a nation economically before attacking it. This is what
happened in Iraq. Under pressure from the United States, on Aug.
2, 1990, the UN Security Council passed sanctions that
required countries to stop trading or carrying out financial
transactions with
Iraq. President George H.W. Bush said the UN sanctions would not
be lifted “as long as Saddam Hussein is in power.” The
U.S. continued to pressure the
increasingly skeptical Security Council members into compliance even
though hundreds of thousands of children were dying. In 1996,
then-U.S. Ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright was asked about the
death of as many as 500,000 children due to lack of medicine and
malnutrition exacerbated by
the sanctions, and she brutally replied, “[The] price
is worth it.” Sanctions were also used against Libya and Syria
before the U.S. attacked them.
This is consistent
with the U.S. ‘way of war’ described by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz in
“An
Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States,” which
describes frontier counterinsurgency premised on annihilation
including the destruction of food, housing, and resources as well as
ruthless militarism. The U.S. has waged a long-term economic war
against Cuba (sanctions in place since 1960), North Korea (first
sanctions in the 1950s, tightened in the 1980s), Zimbabwe (2003) and
Iran (1979)
Sanctions hurt
civilians, especially the most vulnerable—babies, children, the
elderly and chronically ill—not governments. Their intent is to
shrink the economy and cause chronic shortages and hyperinflation
while ensuring a lack of access to finance to pay for essentials. The
U.S. then blames the targeted government claiming that corruption or
socialism is the problem in an effort to turn the people against
their government. This often backfires as people instead rally around
the government, quiet their calls for democracy and work to develop
a resistance economy.

The
movement to end sanctions
In recent years, a
movement has been building to end the use of illegal economic
coercive measures. The movement includes governments coming together
in forums like the Non-Aligned
Movement, made up of countries that represent 55 percent of the
global population, as well as UN member-states calling for
international law and the UN Charter to be upheld and social
movements organizing to educate about the impact of sanctions and
demand an end to their use. This June, the Non-Aligned
Movement called for the end of sanctions against Venezuela.
Popular Resistance is
working with groups around the world on the
Global Appeal for Peace, an initiative to create a worldwide
network of people and organizations that will work together to oppose
the lawless actions of the United States, and any country that acts
similarly. A high priority is opposing the imposition of unilateral
coercive economic measures that violate the charter of the United
Nations. The UN and its International Court of Justice have been
ineffective in holding the U.S. accountable for its actions. No one
country or one movement has the power alone to hold the United States
accountable, but together we can make a difference. Join

With 39 countries
targeted with sanctions, and other countries impacted because they
cannot trade with those countries, nations are challenging the U.S.’
dollar domination. Countries are seeking to conduct trade without the
dollar and are no longer treating the U.S. dollar as the world’s
reserve currency while also avoiding Wall Street. The de-dollarization
of the global economy is a boomerang effect that is hastening due
to the abuse of sanctions and will seriously weaken the U.S. economy.
Foreign Minister Zarif,
who describes sanctions as “economic terrorism,” warned that
“the excessive use of economic power by the United States, and the
excessive use of the dollar as a weapon in U.S. economic terrorism
against other countries, will backfire.” As the blowback
continues to grow, the negative impact on the U.S. economy may
force the U.S. to stop using sanctions. The end of dollar domination
will add to the demise of the failing U.S. empire.

Trump left a small
opening for potential diplomacy with Iran that could lead to the end
of sanctions against that country. Trump bragged about the U.S. being
the number one oil and gas producer, taking credit for an Obama
climate crime, and therefore no longer needing to spend hundreds of
millions a year to have troops in the Middle East. He concluded with
a message to the “people and leaders of Iran” that the U.S. was
“ready to have peace with all those who seek it.” He said the
U.S. wanted Iran to have a “great and prosperous future with other
countries of the world.”
That future is only
possible if the U.S. moves to end the sanctions against Iran.
Iranians have learned the U.S. cannot be trusted. Iran lived up to
the requirements of the Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive
Plan of Action, but Trump did not when he
withdrew from it and re-instated
draconian sanctions lifted by Obama. Trump added even move
sanctions. This also angered
European allies who had negotiated the agreement and were
put in the position of being subservient to the U.S. or going
against it. To regain Iran’s trust, the U.S. needs to make a
good-faith gesture of ending punitive economic measures.
North Korea, which has
been sanctioned by the U.S. longer than any other country, had a
similar experience after they reached an agreement with the United
States in 1994 under the Clinton administration. The George W.
Bush administration wanted to put in place a national missile
defense system but the agreement with North Korea blocked that. John
Bolton and Dick Cheney falsely accused North Korea of
violating the agreement, increased sanctions against it and claimed
it was part of the Axis of Evil, along with Iran, and Iraq.
On December 17,
the Senate passed a Sanctions Bill that put in place sanctions
against corporations working with Russia to develop gas pipelines to
Europe. The action is naked
U.S. imperialism seeking to prevent Russia from being the
main natural gas exporter (NS2) to the EU market and to replace it with
more expensive U.S.-produced gas, a move to save the
financially-underwater U.S. fracking industry. Russia, Germany,
and others have defiantly told Washington
its weaponizing of economic sanctions will not halt the gas pipeline
construction.
The indiscriminate, illegal
and immoral use of sanctions is an act of war. Unless they are
authorized by the United Nations, unilateral coercive measures are
illegal. A critical objective of the peace and justice movement in
the United States, working with allies around the world, must be to
end this terrorist economic warfare. The U.S. economy currently
depends on financial hegemony and war. The slow, steady collapse of
the dollarized economy means the 2020s will be the decade U.S.
domination comes to an end. The U.S. must learn to be a cooperative
member of the global community or risk this isolation and
retaliation.

* Tegelijk stoken zoals gezegd CIA agenten het vuurtje op en bewapenen in veel gevallen een
aantal scherpschutter moordenaars, zodat deze slachtoffers maken onder de demonstranten, vervolgens wordt
de schuld daarvoor in de schoenen van de onwelgevallige
regering geschoven….. Iets dergelijks wordt een ‘false flag operatie’ genoemd, de VS gebruikte dit o.a. in Oekraïne en Syrië, waar deze terreuroperatie in het laatste land mislukte.
Alsof ‘we’ (het westen) al in oorlog zijn met China, heeft Rutte 3, onder druk van de
uiterst agressieve Trump administratie, chipmachinemaker ASML
verboden nog langer te leveren aan China…… Ofwel de exportvergunning
voor ASML naar China is voor onbepaalde tijd ingetrokken
(‘opgeschort’ noemt het meer dan belachelijke Rutte 3 kabinet deze
door de VS terreurentiteit per order opgelegde exportstop…)….
Hoe is
het mogelijk dat Nederland zich laat commanderen door een vereniging
van staten die met grootschalige terreur dood en verderf zaait over een flink deel van de
wereld??? Alsof China daar verantwoordelijk voor is….. Dezelfde VS
die meer dan 800 militaire bases heeft over de wereld, waarvan er
meer dan 200 in de directe nabijheid van China staan….
Als er
één land is waarvoor per direct een exportverbod zou moeten worden
ingesteld is dat de VS, het ‘land’ dat alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen
mensen heeft vermoord, of daar direct verantwoordelijk voor is,
e.e.a. in illegale oorlogen en bij standrechtelijke executies met drones (ronduit moord, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht)…..
Het voorgaande moet bekend zijn bij de geheime
diensten AIVD en MIVD en daarmee ook bij de ‘bewindslieden’
van Rutte 3…….. Een woordvoerder van VS hielenlikker Rutte
weigerde commentaar te leveren op deze belachelijke beslissing, die in feite neerkomt op smerige chantage, immers als Nederland niet gehoorzaamd zal ten eerste ASML getroffen worden door sancties en is het zeer waarschijnlijk dat Nederland door andere sancties van de VS zal worden getroffen…… Rutte heeft overigens zelf afgelopen zomer, bij zijn bezoek aan het Witte Huis, de sancties van de VS tegen China besproken en uiteraard kwam ook ASML daar ter sprake, kortom Rutte is één van de hoofdverantwoordelijken voor de huidige chantage van de VS tegen ASML……

WASHINGTON (AFN) – Een
exportvergunning voor chipmachinefabrikant ASML naar China werd door
Nederland opgeschort na sterke druk vanuit de Verenigde Staten. Dat
meldt persbureau Reuters op basis van ingewijden. Het ging om een
vergunning voor de levering van de modernste chipmachines van het
Nederlandse bedrijf.
De kwestie draait om zogeheten
EUV-machines, die de productie van snellere microprocessoren en
geheugenchips mogelijk maken. Nederland gaf ASML in 2018 een
vergunning voor export van de peperdure apparatuur naar een Chinese
klant, maar verlengde die vorig jaar niet.
Die beslissing volgde op druk van
de Amerikanen, zeggen ingewijden. De ASML-levering werd besproken
tijdens het bezoek van premier Mark Rutte aan het Witte Huis
afgelopen zomer. Rutte zou ook een vertrouwelijk Amerikaans rapport
hebben ingezien over de mogelijke consequenties van de technologie in
handen van de Chinezen.
Blokkeren
Aanvankelijk zouden de Amerikanen
hebben geprobeerd de verkoop van het materieel zelf te blokkeren,
maar dit bleek niet mogelijk. Nederlandse en Amerikaanse ambtenaren
bespraken de kwestie vervolgens naar verluidt minstens vier keer.
In het najaar van 2019 berichtte de
Japanse zakenkrant Nikkei Asian Review al dat ASML de levering van de
machines aan het Chinese Semiconductor Manufacturing International
(SMIC) had opgeschort. Het Veldhovense bedrijf zelf wil de naam van
die klant niet bevestigen, maar laat weten nog steeds te wachten op
een exportvergunning voor China.
Technologie
EUV-machines vallen onder het
Wassenaar Arrangement. Deze afspraak tussen tientallen landen beperkt
de export van wapens naar bepaalde landen, maar ook van moderne
technologie die voor militaire doeleinden kan worden gebruikt. Voor
de uitvoer daarvan is daarom eerst goedkeuring uit Den Haag nodig.
Een woordvoerder van Rutte wilde
tegenover Reuters geen commentaar geven. Ook het Witte Huis wilde
niet op de kwestie ingaan.

de Trump administratie alweer en de knotsgekke bol geslagen, de leider
van dit geteisem, Trump, heeft Irak gedreigd met sancties die de sancties
tegen Iran zullen doen verbleken…. Voorts had hij het gore
lef te eisen dat Irak miljarden zal moeten betalen voor een
door de VS aangelegde luchtmachtbasis in Irak, dit alles n.a.v. de eis van de Iraakse
regering (gesteund door het parlement) dat alle buitenlandse troepen
Irak moeten verlaten……
De VS
heeft bijna 2 miljoen Irakezen vermoord, of is daar de direct
verantwoordelijke voor, daarnaast heeft de VS een groot deel van Irak
in puin gelegd, en nu eist Trump geld voor een door haar gebouwde
luchtmachtbasis…..
Met
andere woorden: de VS accepteert niet dat Irak democratisch een
beslissing heeft genomen en dat volkomen terecht nadat de VS een
aanval opende op een vliegveld bij Bagdad en daarmee een Iraanse
generaal en een belangrijke Iraakse militileider heeft vermoord, waarbij
de VS ook nog eens passagiers van verkeersvliegtuigen in gevaar
heeft gebracht…….
De VS
toont zich ten overvloede nog eens als de verreweg grootste
terreurentiteit op aarde, die niet alleen dood en verderf zaait, maar
ook denkt de hele wereld te kunnen commanderen……
Overigens heeft de VS met de moord op generaal Soleimani en Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, de tweede man van de Iraakse militiegroepering Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), de twee belangrijkste strijders tegen IS (ISIS) vermoord…… Ofwel ook met deze moord laat de VS nogmaals zien dat het niet vies is van steunverlening aan IS……. IS, een terreurorganisatie waar de VS mede verantwoordelijk is voor de oprichting daarvan en bewezen een aantal wapenleveringen aan die organisatie heeft doen toekomen (inclusief militaire training)…. Daarnaast is de VS verantwoordelijk voor het transport van een fiks aantal IS strijders vanuit het door de VS en andere NAVO-partners in elkaar gebombardeerde Libië naar Irak om hen van daaruit over de grens met Syrië te leiden, inclusief wapens, munitie en rollend oorlogstuig, dit om te strijden tegen het democratisch gekozen Assad bewind…..
Ongelofelijk trouwens dat westerse politici, inclusief de hen hielenlikkende reguliere media niet verontwaardigd hebben gereageerd op de woorden van Trump….. In Nederland durfde vanmorgen VVD Tweede Kamerlid Sven Koopmans op BNR (in het nieuws van 8.30 u.) te zeggen dat het Nederlandse fregat dat aan het eind van de maand in de Straat van Hormuz gaat patrouilleren dit doet om de spanningen in het gebied te verminderen, alsof Nederland een VS fragat zal aanvallen als dit over de schreef gaat….. Anders gezegd Nederland gaat daar naartoe om de agressie van de VS te steunen, terwijl die terreurstaat niets te zoeken heeft in het Midden-Oosten….. De enorme VVD leugenaar Koopmans stelde dat het daarom juist nu ‘misschien’ wel van het grootste belang is dat Nederland daar naartoe gaat met een fregat….. Wel moet Nederland opletten dat het zich niet in een live oorlogssituatie gaat begeven, aldus de VVD fantast….. ha! ha! ha! ha! Allemachtig wat een enorme zak!! Alsof men in de Nederlandse politiek niet begrijpt dat de VS al jaren bezig is met het creëren van een ‘legale reden’ om een oorlog tegen Iran te beginnen…….

US Empire’s Passion For Iraqi Democracy Magically Disappears
Following
a vote
by the Iraqi parliament to
remove foreign troops from the nation, the US president threatened to
destroy Iraq’s economy in retaliation and to refuse to leave unless
an expensive military base worth billions of dollars was paid for.
“If
they do ask us to leave, if we don’t do it in a very friendly
basis,” Trump told
the press
on Sunday.
“We
will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever.
It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame. If there’s any
hostility, that they do anything we think is inappropriate, we are
going to put sanctions on Iraq, very big sanctions on Iraq.”
“We
have a very extraordinarily expensive air base that’s there. It
cost billions of dollars to build. Long before my time,” Trump also
said. “We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it.”
This
would be the same President Trump whose starvation sanctions are
already known to have killed
tens of thousands
of people in Venezuela, and probably much more by now.
And
this would be the same US empire that used the narrative of bringing
democracy to Iraq in order to help manufacture public support for
“Operation Iraqi Freedom” (which Bush’s Press Secretary Ari
Fleischer kept
hilariously calling “Operation
Iraqi Liberation” [OIL] by mistake). The same US empire that has
used the “liberation” of Iraq from the tyranny of Saddam
Hussein and the institution of democracy in the Middle East to
justify its evil and unforgivable invasion ever since.
Yet
the instant Iraqi democratic institutions become even slightly
inconvenient for the US empire, Iraqi Democracy gets flushed down the
toilet. Iraq’s elected parliament voted very clearly for the removal
of America’s military presence in the interests of its own
sovereignty, and Trump has stated, in his typical
accidentally-honest way,
that America will not honor that vote.
This
is, of course, because the invasion of Iraq had nothing whatsoever to
do with democracy. The invasion of Iraq was about controlling a
crucial geostrategic region which refused to bow to the dictates of
the US-centralized empire. This is important to remember, because
that is also exactly what the regime change agendas against Iran and
Syria are about.
It
is not a mysterious coincidence that all these horrible dictatorships
that urgently need a forceful injection of freedom and democracy just
so happen to reside right next to each other. The fight for control
over the Middle East has always been about controlling important
fossil fuel resources and trade routes, and thereby controlling the
world. If the empire can’t gain control of the nations in the region
via absorption into the imperial blob (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey,
etc) or just constructing a satellite from scratch on top of a
previously existing nation (Israel), then the empire will work to
gain control by attempting to replace any noncompliant governments
with compliant ones (Iraq, Syria, Iran).
And,
as we now know, the second a compliant government begins to act
noncompliant, it will immediately begin receiving the same treatment
that noncompliant governments receive.
As
things heat up with Iran you will begin hearing more and more
babbling gibberish about the poor, poor Iranians and how unfortunate
they are to live in a nation where the women can’t feel their hair in
the wind and LGBT people need to hide who they are. But as a leaked
State Department memo
revealed in 2017, the empire is never actually concerned with human
rights, and it is never actually concerned with democracy. The sole
concern of the empire is power, and the growth of that power. That’s
all this has ever been about.
Iraq
seems to be destined to be the nation that keeps teaching us
important lessons, so the very least we can do in response is make
sure that we learn those lessons, and remember them.
Het was gistermorgen alweer bal op Radio1: de NOS met in haar nieuwsberichten en in het Radio1 Journaal aandacht voor de strijd in de Syrische provincie Idlib, waar het Syrische leger met hulp van Rusland probeert deze provincie onder controle te krijgen en vrij te maken van terreurgroepen, waar het laatste doel een belangrijke snelweg zou zijn.
Volgens de NOS nieuwsredactie zitten de niet gevluchte burgers in de puree, waar rebellen proberen stand te houden…. ‘Rebellen?’ Psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen bedoelt de NOS, je weet wel geteisem dat o.a. werd gesteund met ons belastinggeld, blijkbaar is de NOS dat weer vergeten…..
Men sprak verder over het economische dal waar Syrië in zit, zonder te melden dat het westen onder aanvoering van de VS, het land illegale sancties heeft opgelegd, terwijl deze vereniging van terreurstaten de oorlog is gestart (met hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten) en verantwoordelijk is voor de enorme puinhopen in Syrië…. Oorlog die als de andere illegale oorlogen van de VS verantwoordelijk zijn voor terreur op de straten van Europa en voor de enorme vluchtelingenstromen……
In het NOS Radio1 nieuws van 17.00 u. werd melding gemaakt van al 8 doden die zijn gevallen onder de burgers en dit door de aanvallen van het Syrische leger en de Russen….. Al de doden die tijdens deze oorlog zijn gevallen zijn toe te schrijven aan de VS en andere NAVO-lidstaten, die de oorlog zijn begonnen, eerst door het organiseren van een gewelddadige opstand, waarvoor de VS, Egypte en de reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië zelfs IS leden hebben aangevoerd vanuit Libië, ook al een land dat door het westen naar god is geholpen…… Logisch dat Syrië haar eigen land vrij wil maken van terreur, of die nu van terreurgroepen komt, of van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS (nogmaals met hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten, waaronder Nederland….)….
Blijkbaar zijn de NOS en andere westerse media door de VS en de NAVO onder druk gezet om aandacht aan de strijd in Idlib te besteden met verhalen over de bevolking die het aan alles ontbreekt, terwijl de Turken in dezelfde provincie veel meer doden hebben gemaakt, tijdens de illegale inval van dat land een paar maanden geleden, daarvoor was amper aandacht in de westerse media, waaronder de zogenaamd onafhankelijke NOS, in dit soort zaken zelfs als propagandazender aan te merken……. (vergeet verder niet dat in Idlib zich een enorm aantal IS strijders en leden van andere terreurgroepen ophouden, eerder onder bescherming van de VS en nu deels van Turkije…..)
Het is dan ook het wachten op de aanvoer van een groot aantal VS militairen in Idlib….. De VS dat in het oosten van Syrië gebied bezet houdt, een gebied waar ook belangrijke oliebronnen zijn, zodat ook die inkomsten, toebehorend aan het Syrische volk, worden gestolen door de VS….. (Trump heeft eerder al opgemerkt dat winst maken in door de VS bezet gebied de normaalste zaak van de wereld is….) In hetzelfde gebied houden zich naast andere terreurgroepen ook IS strijders op, die worden beschermd door de VS…..

Afgelopen
donderdag was het 56 jaar geleden dat VS president John F. Kennedy werd vermoord
in Dallas, Texas. Information Clearing House (ICH) bracht gisteren
een toespraak die John F. Kennedy (JFK) op 10 juni 1963 hield op de American
University in Washington (D.C.) en waarin hij stelde
dat vrede het belangrijkste onderwerp is op aarde vrede. Niets tegen
in te brengen zou je zeggen, totdat je de hele toespraak op je laat
inwerken en dan kan je maar tot één conclusie komen: ook JFK was een
enorme hypocriet (ook al was hij m.i. een beter president dan alle na
hem aangetreden presidenten.
Hypocrisie
als stellen dat vrede het belangrijkste onderwerp is op aarde,
terwijl de VS de ene oorlog na de andere begon, hoe vaak Kennedy ook
stelde dat elk land op zijn/haar manier het volk kan dienen, de
praktijk zag er ook destijds geheel anders uit….. Kennedy stelde
dat hij geen voorstander was van een Pax-Americana, terwijl
de VS volkeren knechtte en knecht als zij tegen de (economische)
belangen van de VS handelden en handelen….. (ofwel weinig verschil met de Pax Romana, waar de VS tegenwoordig inderdaad een imperium is….) De VS die democratisch gekozen
leiders afzet en dictators parachuteerde en parachuteert en dat niet
zelden ten koste van veel mensenlevens……
Het
woord vrijheid valt meermaals in de lezing van Kennedy, echter wat is
vrijheid in de VS als je geen werk hebt en je afhankelijk bent van
voedselbonnen, waar je dure medicatie kan vergeten als je kanker hebt
daar je niet of niet voldoende verzekerd bent? Wat is vrijheid als je
2 banen nodig hebt om rond te kunnen komen ? (veel voorkomend in de
VS, al moet ik zeggen dat het er tijdens JFK wel wat beter uitzag
voor de grote onderlaag van de VS maatschappij) Wat is vrijheid als
je alleen al door je kleur op afstand staat en je vanwege je kleur
wordt gediscrimineerd? (vergeet niet dat er onder Kennedy nog steeds
apartheid bestond in de VS….)
JFK
stelt dat hij niet van een alomvattende vrede en in de goede wil van de mens
gelooft dat is voor fantasieën en fanatiekelingen…… Ja, als
je een alomvattende vrede nastreeft ben je een fanatiekeling, niet
als je als land: -overal en nergens met veel geweld ingrijpt,
-geheime dodelijke militaire missies uitvoert, -verkiezingen
manipuleert, -opstanden organiseert en ga nog maar even door…..)
Als je ziet wat de VS vanaf haar oprichting heeft gedaan en doet op het gebied van buitenlandbeleid, staat dat in schril contrast tot vrede en de goede wil van de
mens…..
Echte
vrede moet volgens JFK door vele naties worden nagestreefd en vrede
is niet statisch maar dynamisch, vrede is een proces, een manier
om geschillen op te lossen….. Lullig dan toch weer dat de VS
precies doet wat JFK niet wenselijk acht: geschillen worden door de
VS ‘opgelost’ met: -sancties waarbij grote aantallen mensen omkomen
(vooral kinderen, zwakkeren en ouderen), -staatsgrepen en -illegale
oorlogen……
Vrede is
niet onuitvoerbaar en oorlog is niet onvermijdelijk, zo stelde JFK in
zijn lezing, volgens hem moet de VS volkeren leiden om dat in te
zien….. Ik zal niet lachen, maar nogmaals: de VS is vooral goed in
het volkeren bijbrengen wat de VS verstaat onder vrede, door geweld
te gebruiken, ofwel oorlog voeren om zogenaamde democratische vrede
te brengen en zoals gezegd regelmatig door democratisch gekozen
regeringsleiders ten val te brengen en daar een trouwe lakei van de
VS in de vorm van een dictator te parachuteren…..*
Over
kernwapens stelt Kennedy dat het geld daarvoor beter uitgegeven kan
worden aan sociale programma’s, voor ziektebestrijding en de
bestrijding van armoede….. Lullig dan dat vooral de VS groots heeft
ingezet op kernbewapening en dat Rusland en China in feite niet
anders konden doen dan te volgen, zeker gezien de agressie van de VS,
vanaf haar illegale oprichting (op gestolen grond van de
oorspronkelijke bevolking die middels een genocide werd gedecimeerd)
Kennedy wees op de bemoeienissen van de VS met Afrika en Azië, dit om communistische invloed tegen te gaan, waar de VS in werkelijkheid een neokoloniaal bewind voerde (en voert) en ondanks al het geblaat in de VS over corruptie, deze elders juist in stand hield (en nog houdt)… Corrupte was en is tenslotte goed voor het grote bedrijfsleven….. Neokolonialisme, waar Kennedy stelde dat de Sovjet-Unie juist haar (‘verderfelijke’, Ap) invloed uitbreidde…..
Te zot
voor woorden zijn de zinnen die JFK gebruikte voor een tekst van de Sovjet-Unie voor militaire strategie, een tekst volgens JFK zonder enige grond en op basis
van ongeloofwaardige claims en dat op de ene na de andere bladzijde waar werd gesteld stelt
dat de VS bezig is haar invloed te vergroten door
oorlogsvoering….. Ben het niet eens met de Sovjet leiders of hoe zij met het volk omgingen, maar in deze hadden
ze het volledig bij het rechte eind….. Het voorgaande geldt ook
voor wat de top van de Sovjet-Unie zei over de wil van de VS om Europa onderhorig te maken
aan haar economische en strategische belangen, ja lullig maar wel degelijk waar…..
De meest
belachelijke zin die Kennedy gebruikte is wel de volgende: “The
United States, as the world knows, will never start a war. We do not
want a war”. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een oplichter!
Ja, vrede is het belangrijkste onderwerp op aarde, handelde de VS maar eens dusdanig……(plus uiteraard de klimaatverandering, daar bij geen actie een enorm deel van de mensheid en van de dieren het dodelijke slachtoffer zullen zijn en zoals je weet: ook op dat gebied laat de VS het afweten)

President
Anderson, members of the faculty, board of trustees, distinguished
guests, my old colleague, Senator Bob Byrd, who has earned his degree
through many years of attending night law school, while I am earning
mine in the next 30 minutes, ladies and gentlemen:
It
is with great pride that I participate in this ceremony of the
American University, sponsored by the Methodist Church, founded by
Bishop John Fletcher Hurst, and first opened by President Woodrow
Wilson in 1914. This is a young and growing university, but it has
already fulfilled Bishop Hurst’s enlightened hope for the study of
history and public affairs in a city devoted to the making of history
and to the conduct of the public’s business. By sponsoring this
institution of higher learning for all who wish to learn, whatever
their color or their creed, the Methodists of this area and the
Nation deserve the Nation’s thanks, and I commend all those who are
today graduating.
Professor
Woodrow Wilson once said that every man sent out from a university
should be a man of his nation as well as a man of his time, and I am
confident that the men and women who carry the honor of graduating
from this institution will continue to give from their lives, from
their talents, a high measure of public service and public support.
“There
are few earthly things more beautiful than a university,” wrote
John Masefield, in his tribute to English universities, and his words
are equally true today. He did not refer to spires and towers, to
campus greens and ivied walls. He admired the splendid beauty of the
university, he said, because it was “a place where those who
hate ignorance may strive to know, where those who perceive truth may
strive to make others see.”
I
have, therefore, chosen this time and this place to discuss a topic
on which ignorance too often abounds and the truth is too rarely
perceived, yet it is the most important topic on earth: world
peace.
What
kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax
Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the
peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about
genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth
living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and
to build a better life for their children, not merely peace for
Americans but peace for all men and women, not merely peace in our
time but peace for all time.
I
speak of peace because of the new face of war. Total war makes no
sense in an age when great powers can maintain large and relatively
invulnerable nuclear forces and refuse to surrender without resort to
those forces. It makes no sense in an age when a single nuclear
weapon contains almost ten times the explosive force delivered by all
of the allied air forces in the Second World War. It makes no sense
in an age when the deadly poisons produced by a nuclear exchange
would be carried by wind and water and soil and seed to the far
corners of the glove and to generations yet unborn.
Today
the expenditure of billions of dollars every year of weapons acquired
for the purpose of making sure we never need to use them is essential
to keeping the peace. But surely the acquisition of such idle
stockpiles — which can only destroy and never create — is not the
only, much less the most efficient, means of assuring peace. I speak
of peace, therefore, as the necessary rational end of rational men. I
realize that the pursuit of peace is not as dramatic as the pursuit
of war and frequently the words of the pursuer fall on deaf ears. But
we have no more urgent task.
Some
say that it is useless to speak of world peace or world law or world
disarmament and that it will be useless until the leaders of the
Soviet Union adopt a more enlightened attitude. I hope they do. I
believe we can help them do it. But I also believe that we must
reexamine our own attitude — as individuals and as a Nation — for
our attitude is as essential as theirs. And every graduate of this
school, every thoughtful citizen who despairs of war and wishes to
bring peace, should begin by looking inward — by examining his own
attitude toward the possibilities of peace, toward the Soviet Union,
toward the course of the cold war and toward freedom and peace here
at home.
First: Let us examine our attitude toward peace itself. Too many of
us think it is impossible. Too many think it unreal. But that is a
dangerous, defeatist belief. It leads to the conclusion that war is
inevitable — that mankind is doomed, that we are gripped by forces
we cannot control.
We
need not accept that view. Our problems are manmade, therefore,
they can be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No
problem of human destiny is beyond human beings. Man’s reason and
spirit have often solved the seemingly unsolvable and we believe they
can do it again.
I
am not referring to the absolute, infinite concept of universal peace
and good will of which some fantasies and fanatics dream. I do not
deny the value of hopes and dreams but we merely invite
discouragement and incredulity by making that our only and immediate
goal.
Let
us focus instead on a more practical, more attainable peace — based
not on a sudden revolution in human nature but on a gradual evolution
in human institutions, on a series of concrete actions and effective
agreements which are in the interest of all concerned. There is no
single, simple key to this peace, no grand or magic formula to be
adopted by one or two powers.
Genuine peace must be the product of
many nations, the sum of many acts. It must be dynamic, not static,
changing to meet the challenge of each new generation. For peace is a
process — a way of solving problems.
With
such a peace, there will still be quarrels and conflicting interests,
as there are within families and nations. World peace, like
community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbor; it
requires only that they live together in mutual tolerance, submitting
their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement. And history
teaches us that enmities between nations, as between individuals, do
not last forever. However our likes and dislikes may seem, the tide
of time and events will often bring surprising changes in the
relations between nations and neighbors.
So
let us persevere. Peace need not be impracticable, and war need not
be inevitable.By defining our goal more clearly, by making it
seem more manageable and less remote, we can help all peoples to see
it, to draw hope from it, and to move irresistibly toward it.
Second:
Let us reexamine our attitude toward the Soviet Union. It is
discouraging to think that their leaders may actually believe what
their propagandists write. It is discouraging to read a recent
authoritative Soviet text on Military Strategy and find, on page
after page, wholly baseless and incredible claims such as the
allegation that “American imperialist circles are preparing to
unleash different types of wars … that there is a very real threat
of a preventive war being unleashed by American imperialists against
the Soviet Union … [and that] the political aims of the American
imperialists are to enslave economically and politically the European
and other capitalist countries … [and] to achieve world domination
… by means of aggressive wars.”
Truly,
as it was written long ago: “The wicked flee when no man
pursueth.” Yet it is sad to read these Soviet statements — to
realize the extent of the gulf between us. But it is also a warning
— a warning to the American people not to fall into the same trap
as the Soviets, not to see only a distorted and desperate view of the
other side, not to see conflict as inevitable, accommodation as
impossible, and communication as nothing more than an exchange of
threats.
No
government or social system is so evil that its people must be
considered as lacking in virtue. As Americans, we find communism
profoundly repugnant as a negation of personal freedom and dignity.
But we can still hail the Russian people for their many achievements
— in science and space, in economic and industrial growth, in
culture and in acts of courage.
Among
the many traits the peoples of our two countries have in common, none
is stronger than our mutual abhorrence of war. Almost unique, among
the major world powers, we have never been at war with each other.
And no nation in the history of battle ever suffered more than the
Soviet Union suffered in the course of the Second World War. At least
20 million lost their lives. Countless millions of homes and farms
were burned or sacked. A third of the nation’s territory, including
nearly two thirds of its industrial base, was turned into a wasteland
— a loss equivalent to the devastation of this country east of
Chicago.
Today,
should total war ever break out again no matter how our two countries
would become the primary targets. It is an ironic but accurate fact
that the two strongest powers are the two in the most danger of
devastation. All we have built, all we have worked for, would be
destroyed in the first 24 hours. And even in the cold war, which
brings burdens and dangers to so many countries, including this
Nation’s closest allies our two countries bear the heaviest burdens. For we are both devoting massive sums of money to weapons that
could be better devoted to combating ignorance, poverty, and disease.
We are both caught up in a vicious and dangerous cycle in which
suspicion on one side breeds suspicion on the other, and new weapons
beget counterweapons.
In
short, both the United States and its allies, and the Soviet Union
and its allies, have a mutually deep interest in a just and genuine
peace and in halting the arms race. Agreements to this end are in
the interests of the Soviet Union as well as ours, and even the most
hostile nations can be relied upon to accept and keep those treaty
obligations, and only those treaty obligations, which are in their
own interest. So, let us not be blind to our differences, but let us
also direct attention to our common interests and to the means by
which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our
differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity.
For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all
inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all
cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.
Third:
Let us reexamine our attitude toward the cold war, remembering that
we are not engaged in a debate, seeking to pile up debating points. We are not here distributing blame or pointing the finger of
judgment. We must deal with the world as it is, and not as it
might have been had the history of the last 18 years been different.
We
must, therefore, persevere in the search for peace in the hope that
constructive changes within the Communist bloc might bring within
reach solutions which now seem beyond us. We must conduct our affairs
in such a way that it becomes in the Communist’s interest to agree on
a genuine peace. Above all, while defending our own vital
interests, nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which
bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a
nuclear war. To adopt that kind of course in the nuclear age would be
evidence only of the bankruptcy of our policy — or of a collective
death — wish for the world. To secure these ends, America’s
weapons are nonprovocative, carefully controlled, designed to deter,
and capable of selective use. Our military forces are committed to
peace and disciplined in self-restraint. Our diplomats are
instructed to avoid unnecessary irritants and purely rhetorical
hostility.
For
we can seek a relaxation of tensions without relaxing our guard. And,
for our part, we do not need to use threats to prove that we are
resolute. We do not need to jam foreign broadcasts out of fear our
faith will be eroded. We are unwilling to impose our system on any
unwilling people, but we are willing and able to engage in peaceful
competition with any people on earth.
Meanwhile,
we seek to strengthen the United Nations, to help solve its financial
problems, to make it a more effective instrument for peace, to
develop it into a genuine world security system — a system capable
of resolving disputes on the basis of law, of insuring the security
of the large and the small, and of creating conditions under which
arms can finally be abolished. At the same time we seek to keep
peace inside the non-Communist world, where many nations, all of them
our friends, are divided over issues which weaken Western unity,
which invite Communist intervention or which threaten to erupt into
war. Our efforts in West New Guinea, in the Congo, in the Middle
East, and in the Indian sub continent, have been persistent and
patient despite criticism from both sides. We have also tried to
set an example for others by seeking to adjust small but significant
differences with our own closest neighbors in Mexico and in Canada.
Speaking
of other nations, I wish to make one point clear. We are bound to
many nations by alliances. Those alliances exist because our concern
and theirs substantially overlap. Our commitment to defend Western
Europe and West Berlin, for example, stands undiminished because of
the identity of our vital interests. The United States will make no
deal with the Soviet Union at the expense of other nations and other
peoples, not merely because they are our partners, but also because
their interests and ours converge.
Our
interests converge, however, not only in defending the frontiers of
freedom, but in pursuing the paths of peace. It is our hope — and
the purpose of allied policies — to convince the Soviet Union that
she, too, should let each nation choose its own future, so long as
that choice does not interfere with the choices of others. The
Communist drive to impose their political and economic system on
others is the primary cause of world tension today. For there can be
no doubt that, if all nations could refrain from interfering in the
self determination of others, the peace would be much more assured.
This
will require a new effort to achieve world law — a new context for
world discussions. It will require increased understanding between
the Soviets and ourselves. And increased understanding will require
increased contact and communication. One step in this direction is
the proposed arrangement for a direct line between Moscow and
Washington, to avoid on each side the dangerous delays,
misunderstandings, and misreadings of the other’s actions which might
occur at a time of crisis.
We
have also been talking in Geneva about other first-step measures of
arms control, designed to limit the intensity of the arms race and to
reduce the risks of accidental war. Our primary long-range interest
in Geneva, however, is general and complete disarmament designed to
take place by stages, permitting parallel political developments to
build the new institutions of peace which would take the place of
arms. The pursuit of disarmament has been an effort of this
Government since the 1920’s. It has been urgently sought by the past
three administrations. And however dim the prospects may be today, we
intend to continue this effort to continue it in order that all
countries, including our own, can better grasp what the problems and
possibilities of disarmament are.
The
one major area of these negotiations where the end is in sight, yet
where a fresh start is badly needed, is in a treaty to outlaw nuclear
tests. The conclusion of such a treaty, so near and yet so far, would
check the spiraling arms race in one of its most dangerous areas. It
would place the nuclear powers in a position to deal more effectively
with one of the greatest hazards which man faces in 1963, the further
spread of nuclear arms. It would increase our security — it would
decrease the prospects of war. Surely this goal is sufficiently
important to require our steady pursuit, yielding neither to the
temptation to give up the whole effort nor the temptation to give up
our insistence on vital and responsible safeguards. I am taking this
opportunity, therefore, to announce two important decisions in this
regard.
First:
Chairman Khrushchev, Prime Minister Macmillan, and I have agreed that
high-level discussions will shortly begin in Moscow looking toward
early agreement on a comprehensive test ban treaty. Our hopes must be
tempered with the caution of history but with our hopes go the hopes
of all mankind.
Second:
To make clear our good faith and solemn convictions on the matter, I
now declare that the United States does not propose to conduct
nuclear tests in the atmosphere so long as other states do not do so.
We will not be the first to resume. Such a declaration is no
substitute for a formal binding treaty, but I hope it will help us
achieve one. Nor would such a treaty be a substitute for disarmament,
but I hope it will help us achieve it.
Finally,
my fellow Americans, let us examine our attitude toward peace and
freedom here at home. The quality and spirit of our own society
must justify and support our efforts abroad. We must show it in
the dedication of our own lives, as many of you who are graduating
today will have a unique opportunity to do, by serving without pay in
the Peace Corps abroad or in the proposed National Service Corps here
at home.
But
wherever we are, we must all, in our daily lives, live up to the
age-old faith that peace and freedom walk together. In too many of
our cities today, the peace is not secure because freedom is
incomplete.
It
is the responsibility of the executive branch at all levels of
government — local, State, and National — to provide and protect
that freedom for all of our citizens by all means within their
authority. It is the responsibility of the legislative branch at all
levels, wherever that authority is not now adequate, to make it
adequate. And it is the responsibility of all citizens in all
sections of this country to respect the rights of all others and to
respect the law of the land.
All
this is not unrelated to world peace. “When a man’s ways please
the Lord,” the Scriptures tell us, “he maketh even his
enemies to be at peace with him.” And is not peace, in the
last analysis, basically a matter of human rights — the right to
live out our lives without fear of devastation, the right to breathe
air as nature provided it, the right of future generations to a
healthy existence?
While
we proceed to safeguard our national interests, let us also safeguard
human interests. And the elimination of war and arms is clearly in
the interest of both. No treaty, however much it may be to the
advantage of all, however tightly it may be worded, can provide
absolute security against the risks of deception and evasion. But it
can, if it is sufficiently effective in its enforcement and if it is
sufficiently in the interests of its signers, offer far more security
and far fewer risks than an unabated, uncontrolled, unpredictable
arms race.
The
United States, as the world knows, will never start a war. We do not
want a war. We do not now expect a war. This generation of
Americans has already had enough — more than enough — of war and
hate and oppression. We shall be prepared if others wish it. We shall
be alert to try to stop it. But we shall also do our part to build a
world of peace where the weak are safe and the strong are just. We
are not helpless before that task or hopeless of its success.
Confident and unafraid, we labor on, not toward a strategy of
annihilation but toward a strategy of peace.

Syrische president Assad heeft een interview gegeven waarin hij

Al Qaida is bepaald niet de enige terreurgroep die door de VS wordt
en werd gesteund en aangestuurd)
Hoe kon
IS (ISIS) zo snel groeien in 2014 en dat tegelijkertijd in Irak en Syrië? Waar deze terreurgroep ook nog eens met wapens vocht die het
van de VS kreeg, zo is twee keer geconstateerd dat de VS wapens
leverde aan IS, inclusief raketwerpers tegen pantservoertuigen en
schouderraketten tegen helikopters en straaljagers, munitie en
rollend oorlogstuig (zie o.a. de laatste paar links aan het eind van dit bericht)…… De vraag beantwoorden hoe IS zo snel kon groeien is niet moeilijk, zo
heeft de VS samen met Egypte terroristen van IS en andere
jihadstrijders vanuit Libië (dat middels grootschalige terreur werd
vernietigd door de VS en andere NAVO-partners), vervoerd naar Irak en
hen over de grens met Syrië geleid om de strijd tegen Assad op te
nemen….. (IS bestond dan ook al vóór 2014) Dit feit, dus westerse steun voor terreurgroepen (niet alleen aan IS) was al lang bekend, zeker bij de westerse landen
en hun geheime diensten, alhoewel in feite iedereen die daar een beetje
moeite insteekt, een enorme berg aan artikelen kan vinden die e.e.a bevestigen, inclusief beeldmateriaal en officiële documenten…… Zelfs Nederland heeft met ons belastinggeld terreurgroepen in Syrië gesteund….
Zie het hieronder opgenomen interview met Assad en je zal merken dat hij allesbehalve de bloedige dictator
is die het westen van hem heeft gemaakt, en waarom? Simpel daar zijn
regering pijpleidingen over het Syrisch grondgebied weigert,
gaspijpleidingen die vanuit de Golfstaten naar Europa zouden worden aangelegd….. Een project waar de VS zich al een paar decennia voor
inzet om zo de Russische gas export naar Europa plat te leggen (ja
ook al voor Putin aan het bewind was liep de VS te kloten tegen
Rusland, dat nooit weer een wereldmacht mocht worden in haar imperium…..)
Vergeet verder niet dat voor de oorlog losbarstte in Syrië, de vele verschillende geloven bevriend naast elkaar leefden, niet voor niets stemde men in de verkiezingen van 2014 massaal voor Assad (verkiezingen die door internationale waarnemers als goed en eerlijk verlopen werden beoordeeld). In de door het Syrische leger bevrijdde gebieden leven deze religies gelukkig weer bevriend naast elkaar…..
Wat ik
nog steeds niet begrijp is het feit dat men de VS in het westen (en elders) ziet als de grote held en Rusland als de boze kracht, terwijl de VS aantoonbaar:
een
aantal illegale oorlogen is begonnen, waarbij alleen deze eeuw al
meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen zijn omgekomen ofwel vermoord,
verkiezingen
elders manipuleert,
Illegaal sancties oplegt aan landen waardoor bijvoorbeeld in Venezuela al 40.000 mensen zijn omgekomen (illegale sancties voorafgegaan door een geheime boycot….) Ook in Syrië wordt de situatie voor de bevolking steeds nijpender, door illegale sancties van de VS en de rest van het terreur brengende westen, zeker nu het halve land dankzij de VS in puin ligt…..
zelfs
bevriende regeringen en hun leiders (zoals de Duitse premier Merkel)
hackt en bespioneert, desgevraagd doet men zelfs aan
bedrijfsspionage voor grote bedrijven in de VS,
in
het buitenland opstanden organiseert die tot een staatsgreep moeten
leiden,
staatsgrepen
in het buitenland organiseert en regisseert,
duizenden
verdachten heeft vermoord middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van
de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en
kinderen,

ontvoert en martelt of laat martelen,

jarenlang gijzelt zonder enige rechtspraak van betekenis……

steunt en zelfs in het zadel helpt, terwijl men maar blijft kraaien
dat de VS democratie brengt….. De VS zelf is niet eens een
democratie zoals wij die kennen, zeker niet zolang een groot aantal mensen
niet mag stemmen, of het stemmen onmogelijk wordt gemaakt en dat in
verkiezingen die alleen met heel veel geld zijn te winnen…..

terwijl men Rusland met een berg leugens probeert te demoniseren, waar alle westerse aantijgingen ofwel
lastercampagnes simpel zijn door te prikken als onzin………

gepubliceerd op RT (een media orgaan dat wordt beschuldigd fake
news [nepnieuws] te brengen,terwijl men niet met bewijzen komt, waar
de reguliere westerse (massa-) media hele archieven vol hebben met
nepnieuws, andere desinformatie en ronduit het manipulaties van de
gebruikers…… Voorts wordt nog aangegeven hoe vreemd het is dat de lijken van bin Laden en al-Baghdadi niet werden getoond door de VS, terwijl de VS over andere moorden uit en te na bericht, inclusief beelden, neem Hoessein en Khadaffi…….

Al-Qaeda
is a U.S. proxy against the Syrian government, Russian government and
the Iranian government. President Assad
How
did ISIS rise suddenly in 2014?! Out of nowhere! Out of nothing! In
Iraq and Syria at the same time, with American armaments?! It’s
very clear.
He
said IS at the peak of its power could not have been smuggling oil
worth millions of dollars per month out of Syria without the US
turning a blind eye.
“Since
ISIS started … looting Syrian oil in 2014, they had two partners:
[Turkish President Tayyip] Erdogan and his coterie, and the
Americans, whether the CIA or others,” he
said. The US-supervised looting of Syria’s riches openly continues
today, he added. Yet, that looting – so the president says –
doesn’t stop when a war ends.
The
Americans always try to loot other countries in different ways
regarding not only their oil or money, or financial resources. They
loot their rights, their political rights, every other right. That’s
their historical role at least after World War II.
Assad
said that murky ties between Washington and hardline militants in
Syria is the reason why he is skeptical about Donald Trump’s claim
that American special ops indeed took down IS leader Abu Bakr
al-Baghdadi. Just like in the case of Osama Bin Laden, no definitive
proof of the death was made public, which contrasts sharply with what
happened to people like Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein or Libyan leader
Muammar Gaddafi. Moscow, for its part, also has reservations about
claims Baghdadi is dead, calling for the release of some definite
proof.
People
fight and die for a cause, not a person
The
narrative supporting regime change in Syria usually focuses on Assad
and his inner circle, claiming that disposing of the so-called
‘dictator’ would be enough to ensure positive change in
Syria. “Assad
must go” has
long been a mantra in the West. The man himself says the notion is
ridiculous since hundreds of thousands of Syrians fighting on the
side of Damascus are certainly not putting their lives on the line
for his person.
People
would die, especially en masse for a cause, and this cause is
defending their country, defending their existence, their future.
The
same is even truer for nations like Iran and Russia, which sent their
troops to help the Syrians in the battle against terrorism. Believing
that any government would bet its interests on the political survival
of a single foreign leader “is
against logic,” Assad
said. The leader is often accused of using brutality and terror
tactics against the civilian population to turn against the militant
groups opposing Damascus and pledge allegiance to the Syrian
government. He argued that such an approach would be not only immoral
but also impractical.
“The
war in Syria was about capturing the hearts of the people, and you
cannot capture the hearts of the people by bombarding them,” he
said. “How
could the Syrian people support their state and their president and
their army, if they are killing them?”
Economic
warfare continues
Assad
said that Western leaders who say that the Syrian people are
suffering under his government are hypocrites because the very same
leaders inflict suffering on Syrians through economic sanctions. It
is basically just another way to try and ensure regime change, he
argued.
This
is maybe the last ditch-attempt in order to push them to be against
their government. But they tried it last winter, they tried it
before, and it did not work because the people knew the whole story,
and they knew where their interest lies.
Syria
traditionally has a strong public sector, which provides many
services like healthcare or education free or at subsidized prices.
With the economy crippled by the war even more people rely on the
government to get basic things like food or heating oil.
The
sanctions, however, are not limited to the government, Assad said.
Private investors are strongly discouraged by the US and its allies
from bringing capital into government-controlled parts of Syria,
which makes economic recovery, reconstruction and return of refugees
harder.
Het
volgende schreef ik op 18 mei dit jaar, n.a.v. een artikel over Iran
en Irak en de relatie van deze landen met de VS….. Het bericht is aan m’n aandacht ontsnapt maar kwam weer ‘bovendrijven’ door de opstand die gaande is in Irak. Opvallend deze grote opstand, waarbij al honderden mensen zijn
omgekomen (veelal vermoord door veiligheidstroepen van politie en leger), waar een sjiitische regering het land regeert, ‘toevallig’
staan de sjiieten er al decennia slecht op bij de VS, zie de genocide in Jemen…… Een genocide uitgevoerd op het sjiitische deel van het volk, waarbij de VS en GB hand- en spandiensten verlenen….. Verder is een opstand gaande in Libanon, waar
de CIA op zeker de hand in heeft, daar men van Hezbollah af wil, een
sjiitische politieke en hulporganisatie….. Gegarandeerd ook dat de
Mossad de CIA meehelpt de stabiliteit van dat land te ondermijnen……
Vergeet verder niet alle smerige acties van de VS tegen Iran, zoals de illegale sancties tegen dat land……

MacDonald schreef een artikel op Middle East Eye (MEE) over de
verschillende signalen uit het Witte Huis t.a.v. Iran en Irak,
terwijl de laatste 2 landen voor een behoorlijk deel op elkaar zijn
aangewezen, zo komt een groot deel van het gas dat in Irak wordt
gebruikt, uit Iran.
Pompeo
heeft Irak opgedragen de Iraanse milities in de hand te houden daar
de VS anders zonder Bagdad acties zal ondernemen tegen deze
milities……
Het
hieronder opgenomen artikel voegt nog meer onzekerheid toe aan wat er
staat te gebeuren in het Midden-Oosten, mocht de VS besluiten een
volgende illegale oorlog te beginnen, die tegen Iran…..
De
aanvallen tegen tankers vorige week werden al gezien als de volgende
false flag operatie van de VS om Iran te demoniseren en daarmee een
reden te hebben Iran aan te vallen, iets dat nog steeds zou kunnen
gebeuren, als de VS een onderzoek doet, waarbij de uitkomst van te
voren is vastgesteld: Iran is de schuldige….. (het zou bepaald de eerste
keer niet zijn dat de VS met dit bijltje hakt…)
Voorts heeft de VS laten weten dat wanneer haar troepen in Irak worden aangevallen, het zelf actie zal ondernemen, zonder de Iraakse regering daar in te kennen….. Niet vreemd dus dat verzetsgroepen die o.a. tegen IS vochten, groepen die wel en niet door Iran worden gesteund, eisen dat de VS zich volledig terugtrekt uit Irak, echter daar lijkt het nog steeds niet op (zelfs niet een aantal maanden later, dus op 8 november 2019)
Eén
ding is zeker, de Trump administratie is verdeeld over wat te doen
inzake Iran, hoewel oorlogsmisdadiger en topterrorist Bolton, een
ploert die grote invloed heeft op het psychopathische beest Trump, er
geen twijfel over laat bestaan: de VS moet Iran aanvallen en moet alleen daarvoor al in Irak blijven…… (gelukkig is de psychopathische oorlogsmisdadiger Bolton intussen afgeserveerd)

With
tensions once again ratcheting up between the US and Iran, Iraq is,
as usual, stuck in the middle.
On
Wednesday, the US announced it was withdrawing all non-essential
staff from the capital Baghdad and the Kurdish capital Erbil
following an unspecified threat from Iran-linked forces.
Iraq
has long been a battlefield for a proxy clash between US and Iranian
interests. Thousands of US troops are still based in the country,
while Iran provides financial and ideological support to a number of
armed groups and political parties.
Just
as many Iraqis were hopeful their country was pulling itself out of a
long period of bloodshed and instability, it looks like the drums of
war could be beating again.
There
is chaos in the White House over how to handle Iraq

Despite
the threats from armed groups, many in Iraq viewed with incredulity
claims by the US that the threat from Iran-backed groups was enough
to warrant pulling staff from the country.
Iraqi
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Tuesday told reporters that
Iraq side had not observed “movements that constitute a threat
to any side. We clarified that to the Americans – the government is
doing its duty to protect all parties.”
The
US has had personnel in Iraq in a wide array of capacities since it
invaded the country in 2003. Threats against them have been frequent
and numerous since then, particularly at the height of the
anti-occupation insurgency in the middle of the first decade of the
century. And yet, there was no pullout of staff during that period of
time.
One
Iraqi government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity
because he is not authorised to speak with the media, said that the
excuses given by the US were “not at all” being taken
seriously by Iraq.
“There
is an increase in diplomacy, an increased number of visits by foreign
affairs ministers or phone calls with them, visits by ambassadors,”
he said.
However,
apart from somewhat greater attention being paid to the news,
there was little planning going on for a possible future conflict.
“Nobody
really knows what’s going on,” the official said
“That
lack of clarity is what is driving some concerns,” he explained.
Iran-Iraq
ties
Any
conflict between Iran and the US would inevitably have a huge impact
on Iraq.
According
to the Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce, of $44bn Iranian non-oil
exports, around $9bn worth of goods were exported to Iraq in the year
to March, a 36 percent year on year increase, while as much as 40
percent of Iraqi electricity is thought to come from Iranian gas
plants.
Despite
renewing sanctions on Iran in November, the US has been repeatedly
forced to issue waivers to Iraq, knowing full well how reliant
the country is on the Islamic Republic.
Sarkawt
Shams, an MP with the New Generation party, told MEE that the US
decision was “immature” and based on an “inaccurate”
assessment of the threats.
“There
is chaos in the White House over how to handle Iraq,” he said.
“This White House does not have a clear policy on how to deal
with Iraq – they see Iraq through a lens of anti-Iran rhetoric.”
Shams
said that he was concerned that the US move would end up harming
relations between the two countries, which he hoped would have been
strengthened in a post-Islamic State (IS) era.
“We
were hoping that after the defeat of IS that we could shift relations
between our two countries from military to economic and trade
cooperation – that we could have the US invest in Iraq’s economy, not
just military capability,” he explained.

All
this is likely to prove a headache for Abdul Mahdi, who concluded a
visit to Turkey on Thursday.
Iraq
still does not have a defence or interior minister, more than a year
after parliamentary elections.
Reuters
quoted two Iraqi military sources as saying that US Secretary of
State Mike Pompeo had told Iraqi officials during a surprise trip
earlier this month that they would have to keep Iran-backed armed
groups in check.
“They
said if the US were attacked on Iraqi soil, it would take action to
defend itself without coordinating with Baghdad,” the source
said.
Iran-backed
groups such as Asaib Ahl al-Haq, the Badr Organisation and Kataib
Hezbollah have repeatedly called for
US troops to leave the country – as have other non-Iran-backed
groups.
During
a trip by Donald Trump to Iraq in December – a trip which stoked
further controversy as the president chose not to meet with Iraqi
officials – the former reality TV star broke with the official
US policy line that troop deployment was purely aimed at targeting IS
and said that it would also be monitoring Iran, comments which
enraged many Iraqis.
Husham
al-Hashimi, a security analyst based in Baghdad, said the controversy
had “embarrased” Abdul Mahdi, who he said was attempting to
tread “calmly and cautiously with the increased tension between
Washington and Tehran”.
“As
an Iraqi citizen from outside the government and the parties, I am
very anxious about the deterioration of the Iraqi economy,”
Hashimi told MEE. “Investors are worried because they are
scared about the collapse of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar.”
He
added that, unless US embassy officials were able to convince their
bosses in Washington otherwise, “there is a real fear no one can
stop this.”
A
‘real’ foreign policy
A
wide array of countries have
pushed for the US and Iran to tone down their rhetoric and prevent an
escalation following an attack on oil tankers in the Gulf on Monday.
Even
the normally hawkish prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu,
was quoted by Israeli Channel 13 as telling top officials to “take
steps to isolate Israel from any developments and ensure Israel is
not dragged into this escalation”.
Iraq
has suffered decades of violence and unrest, including separate wars
with both the US and Iran.
The
hope for many now is that their country can both stabilise and begin
to assert itself as an independent player in the region, and stop
being the Middle East’s battlefield.
“The
point I discuss with officials and my colleagues in parliament is
that we need to have a real Iraqi foreign policy, which we do not
have,” Shams explained.
“Iraq
needs to be careful about its relationship with two countries, the US
and Iran. Not to intervene in their conflict, but to convince both
countries that Iraq is neutral and not taking sides and to bring
business back to Iraq beyond the security industry and beyond
military companies – so far we have failed to do that, and failed to
normalise Iraq’s role in the international community.”

ligt er bewijs dat de VS bezig is de boel in een buitenland te verkloten, dit keer is het Bolivia waar men bezig is de situatie te
destabiliseren, overigens wat mij betreft geen nieuws, dit was al
gaande voor de verkiezingsoverwinning van Morales. Je kan het dan
ook een wonder noemen dat het economisch beleid van Evo Morales zo
succesvol is (zo meer daarover).
Een
Boliviaanse radiozender, Radio
Education Network of Bolivia (ERBOL) , heeft 16 audiofragmenten
gelekt, waarin oppositie leiders oproepen tot een staatsgreep tegen
de regering Morales, een actie die uit de VS koker zou komen, iets
dat geheel past in de manier van werken die de VS eropna houdt
De
namen die in de audiofragementen terugkomen zijn die van Marco Rubio,
Ted Cruz en Bob Menendez, alleen daaruit al valt duidelijk op te maken
dat de VS de organisatie en regie heeft
over ‘de onrust in Bolivia’, waar men weer massaal koos voor Evo
Morales
Nu nog
het economisch succes van de regering Morales: waarschijnlijk zijn
door het economisch succesvolle beleid van Morales al ‘een paar
koppen gerold’ bij de CIA, een geheime dienst die er haar specialiteit
van heeft gemaakt om in landen waar een echt links beleid succesvol
lijkt, de boel daar te vernachelen, o.a. door pogingen de economie van dat land op alle manieren onderuit te halen, niet in de laatste plaats door met het ministerie van buitenlandse zaken van de VS, geheime sancties
tegen zo’n land in te stellen (ofwel: grootschalige terreur), precies wat men in Venezuela al onder Chavez
flikte, dit volhield onder Maduro en ten laatste de sancties
officieel heeft gemaakt, waardoor intussen al 40.000 Venezolanen
het leven hebben verloren (zo heeft de VS miljarden aan tegoeden van
Venezuela, voor de aankoop van medicijnen geblokkeerd, terwijl deze vereniging van terreurstaten Maduro er eerder van beschuldigde medicijnen achter te
houden….)….. Uit de gelekte gesprekken blijkt ook dat men een algehele staking wil forceren in Bolivia…… Niet voor niets ook dat in het verleden heel wat
Latijns-Amerikaanse landen waar men een socialistisch bewind
nastreefde, de grote Noord-Amerikaanse bedrijven als die in de
mijnbouw nationaliseerde en zoveel mogelijk personeel uit de VS het
land uit schopte……
De aanhangers van Morales vrezen dat hun president ‘een ongeluk’ zal overkomen, het zal de eerste keer niet zijn dat een president zo aan het einde komt, eerder was Morales al betrokken bij een helikopterongeluk, wat hij gelukkig overleefde (zie de eerste link aan het eind van het volgende artikel)
Gelukkig
heeft Morales grote aanhang onder het volk en zoals het zich laat
aanzien ook onder het leger en de politie, wat echter niet wil zeggen
dat een staatsgreep tegen Morales onmogelijk is…… (een klein aantal legerofficieren is het land al ontvlucht, daar zij betrokken zouden zijn bij het plannen van een staatsgreep…..)

Clearing House” – Opposition
politicians held talks with U.S. senators to destabilize Bolivia
and organize a general strike after Evo Morales’ victory.
The
Radio Education Network of Bolivia (Erbol) leaked 16 audios
involving opposition leaders who are calling for a coup d’etat
against the government of President
Evo Morales,
a political action which would have been coordinated from the U.S.
embassy in the Andean country .
Among
those mentioned in the audios are the U.S.
senators Marco
Rubio,
Bob Menendez and Ted Cruz, who have would maintained contact
with the Bolivian opposition in order to achieve a possible
regime change in the South American country.
The audios
also reveal participation in the political conspiracy of the
former prefect of Cochabamba, Manfred Reyes Villa, who was accused of
corruption in 2009 and fled Bolivia to seek asylum in the U.S.,
where he is currently living.
In
their conspiracy talks, Bolivian politicians also mention
a former Bolivian president whose name is not explicitly
mentioned, former New Republican Force lawmaker Mauricio Muñoz and
former Army officers Oscar Pacello, Remberto Siles, Julio
Maldonado and Teobaldo Cardozo.

The Erbol leaked
information audios also mention calls from opposition leaders to burn
government party structures and to put together a general strike
across the country.
All these
actions, which were expected to be advertised as
based on social unrest, would be part of
the response to the triumph of Evo Morales in the last
presidential elections.
The
opposition plans would also include an eventual attack against the
Cuban Embassy, very similar to what happened in the coup
against Venezuela’s late president Hugo Chavez in 2002.
So
far, none of the opposition leaders in Bolivia has said anything
about the leaked audios.

(Amazonewoud), Paulo Paulino Guajajara werd vermoord door
illegale houthakkers, dit terwijl hij probeerde bomen te beschermen tegen
‘illegale’ houthak…… ‘Illegale’ tussen aanhalingstekens daar de
fascistische president van Brazilië, Bolsonaro voor de verkiezingen
en ook nadat hij de verkiezingen won, heeft gesteld dat het
Amazonewoud wat hem betreft geheel gekapt of verbrand mag worden en
dat iedereen die ‘commerciële activiteiten’ wil ontwikkelen in het
Amazonewoud zijn zegen heeft……. (al gebruikte hij die laatste
woorden niet, komt het daar wel op neer….)
Over
Bolsonaro gesproken: voor zijn presidentschap heeft hij laten weten
dat hij geen interesse heeft in de oorspronkelijke volkeren van het Amazonewoud en het hem aan de reet zal roesten als ze vermoord worden……
De
overheid stelt intussen dat men deze zaak ‘ernstig neemt’ en dat de
daders gestraft zullen worden….. Loze woorden die al zo vaak eerder
werden gebruikt, echter van veroordelingen is bij mijn weten nooit
iets terecht gekomen, laat staan dat dit onder Bolsonaro wel zal
gebeuren….. Sterker nog van de 157 moorden die sinds 1985 tot 2017
zijn gepleegd op dezelfde gronden, hebben er 5 tot een rechtszaak
geleid…….
Sam Cowie publiceerde op The Guardian een artikel over de moord op Guajajara en hij stelt dat deze werd vermoord binnen het gebied van één van de oorspronkelijke stammen, ofwel de moordenaars waren ook nog eens illegaal in dat gebied aanwezig……
Overigens
is het in andere Latijns-Amerikaanse landen niet anders, de ene na de
andere ‘natuuractivist’ die de belangen van de oorspronkelijke
volkeren behartigen, werd en wordt vermoord…….
Waarom
steunt onze regering wel sancties tegen landen die de rechten van de eigen
bevolking schenden (waar dat meestal ook nog leugens zijn) en niet tegen landen die op grote schaal terreur brengen en daarbij grote bloedbaden aanrichten, laat staan dat men zich druk maakt op het grote aantal moorden op natuurbeschermers in diverse buitenlanden, veelal gepleegd door politie, leger, dan wel met uitgesproken steun van de afzonderlijke regeringen voor dat soort moorden…… Uiteraard bedoel ik met landen waartegen onze regering sancties steunt, landen als Syrië en Venezuela……
Dit terwijl misdaden uit naam van landen als de VS, Groot-Brittannië, Frankrijk (en andere NAVO-lidstaten), Brazilië,
Columbia, Saoedi-Arabië* , de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) e.a. niet worden gezien als reden om sancties te nemen, terwijl die misdaden wel even een heel stuk verder gaan dan de verzonnen misdaden begaan
door de regeringen van Syrië en Venezuela…. (misdaden waarvoor
geen flinter bewijs werd geleverd, terwijl degenen die deze leugens
ontmaskeren, tevens gigantisch grote dossiers hebben met bewijzen
over de misdaden begaan door de VS, Brazilië en de andere landen uit
dat hierboven weergegeven rijtje landen….)
Tijd
voor ‘ons’ nationale waterhoofd Willem Alexander en zijn
pampakoningin Maxima, met een stevige handelsdelegatie af te reizen naar Brazilië om de hartelijke banden met Brazilië nog eens verder aan te
halen…. Het stel was pas in India, een land dat ook door een fascist wordt geregeerd, dus Bolsonaro valt wat dat betreft niet uit de toon….. Nederland dat op jaarbasis 500 miljoen dieren groot- en

‘forest guardian’ killed by illegal loggers in ambush

A
Brazilian indigenous land defender has been killed in an ambush by
illegal loggers in an Amazon frontier region.
According
to a statement by the Brazilian Indigenous Peoples Association, Paulo
Paulino Guajajara was shot and killed inside the Araribóia
indigenous territory in Maranhão state.
Another
tribesman, Laércio Guajajara, was also shot and hospitalised and a
logger has been reported missing. No body has yet been recovered.
Sérgio
Moro, the justice minister of far-right president Jair Bolsonaro’s
government, confirmed that Brazil’s federal police were
investigating the killing. “We will spare no effort to bring those
responsible for this serious crime to justice,” he tweeted.
The
tribesmen are members of an indigenous forest guard called Guardians
of the Forest, which formed in 2012 to ward off logging gangs
pillaging their rare, hardwood-rich reserve. Their work involves
armed patrols and destroying logging encampments and has earned them
dangerous enemies. Several Guardians in Maranhão have
been killed in recent years,
including three from Araribóia.

According
to Gilderlan Rodrigues, Maranhão regional coordinator of Brazil’s
indigenous missionary council, the murdered tribesman had been
threatened several times. “Their work bothers those that want to
loot their territory,” he said, adding that the killers were from a
nearby rural settlement and had entered the reserve without
permission. “These criminal actions must be combated so that more
lives are not lost.”
The
4,130 sq km (1,595 sq miles) Araribóia indigenous reserve is home to
an estimated 5,300 indigenous Brazilians of the Guajajara tribe and
the Awá, an isolated group described as the
“world’s most endangered tribe”.
It concentrates much of the last remaining Amazon rainforest in
Maranhão state.
Sarah
Shenker, senior research and advocacy officer at Survival
International,
who knew the murdered tribesman, described it as an “island of
green amid a sea of deforestation”. She said the killing was “a
crime foretold”.
Earlier
this year Paulino told Survival International: “It makes me so mad
to see this [forest destruction]. These people think they can come
here, into our home, and help themselves to our forest? No. We won’t
allow it. We don’t break into their houses and rob them, do we? My
blood is boiling. I’m so angry.”

The
reserve is officially protected by the Brazilian government but is
constantly targeted by logging gangs and has long been a hotbed of
violent conflict. In 2015, a former enforcement operations
coordinator with Brazil’s environmental agency Ibama, Roberto
Cabral, was shot there.
In
June this year, the Araribóia Guardians’ leader, Olímpio
Guajajara, recorded a video calling for help from the Brazilian state
after reporting that gunmen were being paid to kill them and
indigenous houses had been shot at.
“We
don’t want war, we want to resist,” he said. “We want the
Brazilian authorities to help protect the lives of the Guardians that
are threatened.” The video was sent to the Brazilian government.
Few
land conflict-related killings in Brazil result
in convictions, which advocates say has produced a culture of
impunity. According to Brazil’s pastoral land commission, a rural
violence watchdog, of 157 land conflict killings in Maranhão state
between 1985 and 2017, just five cases went to court.
“The
indigenous genocide of Brazil is legitimised by the discourse of the
president,” said indigenous leader Sonia Bone Guajajara, who is
from the Araribóia reserve and is currently in Europe with the
campaign Indigenous
