De VS heeft meerdere ijzers in het vuur liggen, naast landen als Syrië en Venezuela, is ook Iran een voortdurend doel van de CIA en enorme leugencampagnes, godbetert nagekauwd door een groot deel van de reguliere westerse media…….
De VS heeft het Iraanse volk getroffen met haar volkomen ten onrechte opgelegde sancties, waar de EU niets tegen onderneemt, ondanks eerder gedane beloften, zodat ook bedrijven uit de EU geen zaken meer durven te doen met dit land……..
Een volgende stap werd gisteren bekend gemaakt: de VS heeft de Iraanse Revolutionaire Garde op de terreurlijst gezet……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Dus de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde, zet de Revolutionaire Garde, een legerkorps (dat echter niet onder het legercommando valt) op een terreurlijst, terwijl de VS de ene na de andere illegale oorlog begint, een ultieme vorm van terreur, dezelfde VS die daarnaast in feite ook illegale economische oorlogen voert, zoals hierboven beschreven…….
De VS heeft intussen een naar schatting paar duizend mensen standrechtelijk vermoord middels drones…….. Let wel: de doelen voor die drones zijn verdachten van terreur en het aantal slachtoffers dat daarbij omkomt, is voor meer dan 90% niet eens verdacht, dus vooral vrouwen en kinderen…..
In totaal heeft de VS deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen vermoord……..
Aan bovenstaande zaken maakt Iran zich niet schuldig, integendeel, de Revolutionaire Garde gaat alleen de grens over als een andere (bevriende) natie daarvoor een verzoek indient, zoals de soevereine Syrische regering Assad heeft gedaan, nadat de door de VS opgezette opstand verzande in een volledige oorlog tegen die regering…… Voor die oorlog heeft de VS zelfs leden van IS en Al Qaida getransporteerd van Libië (ook al door de VS en haar terreurorganisatie NAVO in puin gegooid) naar Irak, heeft hen getraind en met wapens en rollend oorlogstuig over de grens met Syrië gebracht……
Wanneer plaatst de wereld de VS eindelijk bovenaan de terreurlijst, een plaats op die lijst waar deze vereniging van terreurstaten ‘volkomen verdiend’ thuishoort??!!!
Israël en m.n. Palestijnenslachter en oorlogsmisdadiger Netanyahu, stellen
dode militairen boven levende ‘collega’s’ en ‘uiteraard’ (voor Israël) boven burgerslachtoffers, zeker als die burgers Palestijnen
zijn, maar ja die worden door Israël niet als mens gezien…..
Een dode Israëlische militair, die 37 jaar geleden om het leven kwam door een
domme beslissing van de legertop, werd door Rusland overgedragen aan Israël, althans wat er nog van hem over was en dat was niet veel meer
dan het uniform en het schoeisel dat hij droeg……
Netanyahu
gebruikt deze militair, Zacharia Baumel in zijn
verkiezingscampagne, hij zou dode militairen naar huis halen…… Meer daarover in het hieronder opgenomen artikel.
Zowel Israël als de Palestijnen en Syrië hebben een ‘leger aan dode
militairen’ achter de hand, om te gebruiken voor
onderhandelingen…… Hier moet aan toegevoegd worden dat Israël de
dood van militairen in het verleden gebruikt als excuus voor agressie
tegen burgers, zowel Palestijnse, Libanese als Syrische
burgers……
Het
aantal gedode burgers aan de kant van de Palestijnen, Libanezen en Syriërs staat al lang niet meer in verhouding tot het aantal gedode Israëlische militairen, niets nieuws zoals uit het begin van deze zin
blijkt, maar al vanaf de illegale stichting van de staat Israël…… Het vreemde aan de zaak is dat blijkbaar het grootste deel van het Israëlische volk ook vindt dat hun dood minder erg is dan dat van een militair, terwijl militairen er juist zijn om de de klappen op te vangen en burgers te beschermen……
Voor de oorlog tegen de Palestijnen in 2006 claimde Israël dat 2 van haar militairen werden gevangen genomen in de Gazastrook, terwijl men wist dat dit de 2 dood waren, daar de tank waar ze in zaten werd opgeblazen met een raket…… Daarop ondernam het Israëlisch leger een ‘zoekactie’ (lees: begon een oorlog tegen de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook) om de 2 te bevrijden, daarbij werden een paar duizend Palestijnse mensen vermoord door het Israëlische leger…… De zoveelste massamoord op rekening van Israël en dat op valse gronden…….
Netanyahu
is als de dood dat hij niet zal worden herkozen, waarna de weg
openligt om hem te vervolgen vanwege corruptie en grootschalige
fraude, vandaar dat hij de laatste weken steeds schunniger
opmerkingen maakt.
Zo heeft
Netanyahu al laten weten geen probleem te hebben met de volgens Israël meer dan 300 vermoorde Palestijnen aan de grens van de Gazastrook, zogenaamd op Palestijns
gebied……* Onder deze 300 meer dan 50 kinderen, duidelijk te herkennen medische hulpverleners en journalisten……. Ook heeft massamoordenaar Netanyahu beloofd dat hij
alle nederzettingen op de West Bank zal legaliseren als hij wordt
herkozen, sterker nog: hij zal dan zelfs de West Bank annexeren……
Ongelofelijk
dat de westerse regeringen hier niet op hebben gereageerd door
openlijk hun afschuw uit te spreken over de woorden van Netanyahu….
Blijkbaar ziet men commentaar leveren op de psychopathische agressie van Netanyahu ook als ‘het verstoren van het vredesproces’,
de dooddoener van westerse regeringen als Israël zich weer eens van
haar terroristische kant laat zien, bijvoorbeeld na het zoveelste
bloedbad te hebben aangericht onder Palestijnen, alsof
oorlogsmisdaden van Israël het vredesproces tussen Palestijnen en Israël niet verstoren……

soldier dead 37 years is Russia’s gift to Netanyahu, in last days
of campaign
Ceremony
at the Russian Ministry of Defense on April 4 when military effects
belonging to the late Zachary Baumel, killed in Lebanon in 1982, were
handed over to prime minister Netanyahu. From the PM’s twitter feed
Zecharia
Baumel was killed in one the most needless and stupid battles of the
First Lebanon War, a war full of many such battles.
Baumel,
a young reservist, was made a false sacrifice by the Government of
Israel on the altar of the hallucinatory concept of controlling
Lebanon. The government owes him an apology, and must ask his pardon.
It is hard to believe that the belated transfer of the remains of his
body to Israel merits the title of apology; let us, then, begin this
discussion with the old burial prayer: “I hereby ask of pardon and
forgiveness. Everything we did was for your honor, according with the
tradition of Yisrael. Go in peace, and rest in peace.”
One
does not fight the dead. Their love, their hate and their jealousy
have long since vanished; never shall they have a part in anything
that happens under the sun.
But
as for fighting those who misuse them – well, that’s quite a
different matter.
Let’s
begin with the facts. Baumel, a tank commander, was killed on June
11, 1982 in the Battle of Sultan Yaakub, in which an Israeli division
managed to stumble into an ambush by Syrian commando forces. While it
was known he was killed, his body – and that of two of his comrades
– was never recovered. As is customary in the Middle East, the
victors who held the battlefield (in this case, the Syrians and some
Palestinian militias) took the bodies in the hope of one day
parlaying them into some advantage. Baumel’s destroyed tank was
driven through the streets of Damascus in a ghoulish triumph; in
1993, Yasser Arafat presented Yizhak Rabin with one half of Baumel’s
dog tags. Obviously someone else was holding the other half, in
anticipation of some reward.
(The
Syrians and the Palestinians aren’t alone in this. Israel has a
whole graveyard, The Graveyard of the Enemy Dead, where bodies are
kept until their time on the market comes.)
A
week or two ago, Russian troops acting with Syrian troops transferred
secretly to Israel the contents of a whole graveyard from the Yarmuq
Refugee Camp, which the Syrians have taken from some militia. The
Russians claimed it was held by some ISIS affiliate, but one should
be careful about such Russian claims. Be that as it may, on Wednesday
the Israeli public was surprised to hear that the IDF has conducted
“an intelligence operation,” as a result of which the bodily
remains of Baumel were identified.
The
IDF and Netanyahu’s office bombarded the media with news of an
“operation”, colonels with initials instead of names spoke of
their part in the glorious operation, and everyone blessed Military
Intelligence.
Nobody
said anything about Russians. In fact, military censorship forbade
any mention of
Russian involvement, at first.
Given
this partial information, my first horrified thought was “Oh my
God, the fuckers did it again.”
Israel
has developed an obsession with its war dead – an obsession which
became deeper as the country had no actual wars. In godforsaken 2004,
the only good of which could be said was that it was better than
2006, I was duty editor – twice – when Gazans blew up a tank and
Armored Personnel Carrier. One was in the middle of the Strip; the
other was near the Egyptian border, in a thin strip called
Philadelphy Route.
There
isn’t much left when a tank blows up.
Nevertheless,
IDF brass gave the order, and soldiers obeyed, that the area near the
explosions is to be combed – literally combed – in search after
body remains. Soon I was watching IDF soldiers crawling in the dust,
looking for the remains of their comrades.
Under
fire.
Which
killed at least one soldier.
Now,
I have no problem with the Palestinian militiamen who blew up tanks
and fired at enemy soldiers. War is war. If you’re carrying a gun
in an occupied territory, you’re basically asking for it. I served
for two years in Gaza, during the First Intifada. I insisted then
that if some Palestinian would shoot me, that would certainly be
annoying, but I would not bear a grudge, nor should anyone bear one
in my name. It was my choice to serve in an occupied territory and
carry a gun.
I
did have a huge problem with the military – and the Israeli public.
See, normally an army is supposed to take the shots instead of the
civilians. But during the horrid years of the Second Intifada, the
pyramid was reversed. The number of dead soldiers was relatively low,
but the number of dead civilians hit the roof.
And
the civilians seem to like it that way. The general sentiment was
that it’s pretty bad if a bus blows up, but it’s much worse if a
tank blows up. Military lives were deemed to be of more importance
than civilian life. And this attitude moved from dead soldiers to
pieces of dead soldiers. I was appalled at the fact the order to
crawl under fire to get some body parts met with no refusal from the
soldiers; and the general public seemed to think this was perfectly
normal.
That
is, we had a whole new pyramid. At its base were civilian life; they
counted for little. Above them, soldiers’ lives. They mattered
more. And then, at the apex, soldiers’ bodies. It seemed totally
reasonable to risk the lives of soldiers in order to get soldiers’
body parts. I was not sure who lost his mind, me or the
country.
That
was bloody 2004. Then came fucking 2006. The Lebanon War began when
Hizbullah fired a rocket at military vehicle which was moseying about
near the Lebanon border. Two soldiers, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad
Regev, were killed on the spot. Hizbullah hijacked the bodies and
were gone with them before the IDF understood what happened. The fool
commanding the division, Gal Hirsch (he’s running for the Knesset
in the “Shield of Israel” party, his chances non-existent),
ordered a tank to guard the destroyed vehicle. Hizbullah destroyed
the tank. The number of dead was now eight, and once the Chief of
Staff sold
his shares portfolio,
the war started.
The
IDF and the PM (then Ehud Olmert) pretended Goldwasser and Regev were
alive, even though IDF forensics knew they were dead a few hours
after the rocket attack. When a rocket hits a vehicle, there isn’t
much left of the soldiers. There was enough blood on the spot to know
Goldwasser and Regev were dead. Olmert and the army took the country
to war on false pretenses: they claimed they were alive and promised
to get them back.
When
it all ended, thousands of dead and unknown number of traumas later,
Hizbullah negotiated for the bodies. Natch. Israel gave almost all of
its Hizbullah captives. The government, which was in serious trouble
at the time – one poll showed Olmert with 2% support, versus
Hizbullah’s leader Nasrallah, with 4% – did its best to convince
the public there’s a chance Goldwasser and Regev are alive, in
order for the deal to pass. The media ate it up.
Of
course, they were dead and Olmert knew it for months. When the
Hizbullah truck opened and two coffins were brought out, with the
Hizbullah representative sadistically crying, “Here they are!”,
the country went into shock.
And
it still supported the deal. After all, dead soldiers are more
important than living soldiers.
So,
when the news came of Baumel’s body being brought to burial, I
found myself hoping: not again, not again, no more risking of lives
over dead bodies.
The
next day (Thursday), Netanyahu met with Putin in Moscow. A Russian
honor guard presented Netanyahu with
a coffin draped in an Israeli flag and
supposed to contain Baumel’s combat tank suit and boots.
Somebody
fucked up badly, because an IDF colonel spoke the night before of
examining Baumel’s combat suit, in Israel, and of the meticulous
care he and his unit – never identified – had taken of making
certain it was indeed Baumel’s suit. I guess someone forgot to
update the Russians; either that, or this was one of Putin’s little
jokes.
In
short, the whole affair was a propaganda stunt from start to finish.
The point was to portray Netanyahu, five days before the elections,
as someone who can bring dead soldiers home. Which is precisely how
the media played it: “bringing the son home.”
But
Baumel is dead, has been dead for 37 years, life ending in a dreadful
last hour and a semi-second of a flash. The officers who sent him –
and 19 of his comrades – to a pointless death were not punished;
the politician who sent the army there, Ariel Sharon, overcame that
debacle and became a prime minister. And now the remains of Baumel
are being used in a cynical ploy to ensure Netanyahu’s reelection.
A trick which might just work: after all, dead soldiers are more
important than live soldiers, who in turn are more important than
live civilians.
We
have badly misused you, Zecharia Baumel. Rest now in peace. We beg
your forgiveness, and perhaps not everything we did was for your
honor. Beg mercy for us, for we shall need it.

Koerdische gevangenen in Turkije zijn in hongerstaking gegaan, een
voorbeeld dat is gevolgd door Koerdische, Turkse en andere mensenrechtenactivisten buiten Turkije.
Het
zal je dan ook niet verbazen dat deze hongerstakingen gaan over de
behandeling van Koerden en niet in de laatste plaats de gevangenhouding van Abdullah Öcalan, de
voor het leven gevangen gezette en in isolatiefolter levende voormalige PKK
leider….
Over
de PKK gesproken: ongelofelijk dat men in de EU en de VS, de PKK nog
steeds op de terreurlijst heeft staan, terwijl het intussen zelfs tot
de grootste critici van Koerdische onafhankelijkheid moet zijn doorgedrongen, dat het Koerdische volk wordt vertrapt door Turkije… Zeker nu men
heeft gezien waartoe de Koerden in staat zijn, immers zij waren van
aanvang de enige groep in Syrië en Irak die IS daadwerkelijk met succes wisten te
bevechten, zoals de sjiitische Houthi rebellen dat in Jemen deden……
De
PKK moet van de terreurlijst, zet het Turkse leger en de kliek van Erdogan maar op die lijst,
het leger dat met grote steun van de reli-fascistische Erdogan ‘regering’, een heel smerige oorlog voert tegen de Koerden in
Turkije…… Een oorlog waarover we amper iets horen, daar Turkije geen
toestemming geeft aan mensenrechtenorganisaties, advocaten, de
nationale en internationale pers, dit gebied te bezoeken…… Een zwaar ongelijke oorlog, die door toedoen van het Turkse leger gepaard gaat met massamoorden op de Koerdische bevolking……

are thousands of hunger strikers in prisons across Turkey. These are
their ‘last messages’.
Thousands
of prisoners across
Turkey are on hunger strike. Kurdish MP Leyla Güven started the
hunger strike while in prison. Now at home, Güven has not eaten for
148 days and is critically ill.
Since
starting her hunger strike, Güven has inspired thousands to join
her. In the UK, these include Iman
Sis,
a Kurdish activist in Wales who is on day 109 of hunger strike and
87-year-old human rights lawyer Margaret Jones who has
just joined the
hunger strike.
Now
the Raise Your Voice for Leyla initiative has released a document to
“see the person behind the numbers”. It gives short biographies
of some of the prisoners on hunger strike and their “last
messages”.
The
demands of the hunger strike
The indefinite
hunger strike is
calling for an end to Kurdish leader Abdullah
Öcalan’s
solitary confinement and to allow him access to lawyers and family
visits.
Öcalan co-founded the
Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK), which has fought for Kurdish
freedom and autonomy since the 1970s. He has been imprisoned by
Turkey for 20
years. Turkey
has defined the
PKK as a ‘terrorist group’. Most Western states followed suit, as
they see Turkey as a key trading
partner and NATO ally.
The
hunger strikers are not asking for special treatment for Öcalan.
They want to
break his isolation. They want peace. And while Öcalan is held in
conditions where he has no access to lawyers, to his family, to
visits, there will not be peace. So the hunger strikers see their
demands for Öcalan as a demand for peace. They want Öcalan to have
the same rights as other prisoners in Turkey; rights that he should
already be entitled to under existing Turkish law. They’re just
asking for Turkey to respect its own legislation.
Raise
Your Voice for Leyla
The
Raise Your Voice for Leyla initiative was founded during a
women’s forum that The
Canary attended
on 2 March. The group states the
conditions the prisoners are currently enduring:
Those
on hunger strike in prisons are subjected to solitary confinement,
those on hunger strike for a long time are not allowed to have people
to accompany them, there are efforts to impede their communication
with the outside world through imposing disciplinary punishments such
as not allowing them to receive visits from family members, to make
phone calls, to send and receive mail.
And
it describes the
critical condition the prisoners are in:
They
are subjected to physical and psychological violence. Reports of the
Human Rights Association indicate that their blood pressure and
weight are not regularly measured, they are not provided with
adequate amount of salt, sugar, carbon, lemon, fruit juice and those
in their possession are confiscated, and prices of such goods in
prison markets are doubled. Those who have spent decades in prisons
struggling against rights violations are at risk of irreversible
damage.
And
the group sets out why it has released the document:
We
believe that it is our humanitarian duty to present to you this
document including short bios of prisoners who are on hunger strike
and their last messages, and remind about humane conscientious, moral
and legal responsibilities so that national and international
dynamics are put into action with a view not to remain silent to and
to put an end to this tragedy.

This
is urgent
Seven
people have
taken their own lives this year in protest at the isolation
of Öcalan. Six of them were Kurdish political prisoners in
Turkish prisons. Siraç
Yüksek was
the latest person to take this action. His death was reported on 2
April. Güven and others have
called for these suicide actions to stop, and for the movement to
focus on the struggle of the hunger strikers.
But
time is running out. Güven’s health is deteriorating.
These people do not want to die. They want the Turkish government to
respect its own laws and end the isolation.
This
is urgent. This is not something that can be put off until tomorrow.
Action is needed now.

Gistermorgen hoorde ik de rechtse gesel van vluchtelingen, hare VVD kwaadaardigheid Laan-Geselschap op BNR (na 8.30 u.), dit over het aanbod van het Rode Kruis om vrouwen en kinderen van IS strijders op te halen uit gevangenkampen in Syrië…..
Zoals te verwachten was van deze opperschoft: ze is tegen het terughalen (ofwel repatriëren) van vrouwen en kinderen die in Syrische gevangenkampen zitten (veelal in ‘Koerdisch gebied’)…… Nee, zelfs die kinderen wil Laan niet, ze stelde onder meer dat het niet duidelijk is welke nationaliteit de kinderen hebben, dus……..
Of die kinderen nu 1, 2 of 3 jaar oud zijn, hard moet je zijn als vertegenwoordiger van een partij die zich extra wil profileren als anti-vluchtelingen en ‘terrorfighter’ partij, de laatste uiteraard tegen de extreme islam, zodat ze voor beide gevallen stemmen kunnen afsnoepen van de geheel fascistische PVV en FVD………
Vergeet niet dat de kabinetten onder de gore vlag van de VVD (de PvdA, D66 en CU niet vergetend) en die van het CDA, NB hebben meegeholpen aan het in brand steken van het Midden-Oosten, een terreur van een grootte die nog maar zelden is gezien op onze aarde……. Die terreur, waarbij meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen werden vermoord, is de bron van alle terreur en ellende die de laatste 17 ons ‘West-Europees oog’ is gepasseerd……..
Daarnaast gelooft Laan de immer disfunctionerende AIVD, waar men durfde te stellen dat kinderen van deze vrouwen vanaf hun negende jaar gevaarlijk kunnen zijn, volgens de AIVD zijn ze dat, daar ze zo zijn geïndoctrineerd met het gif van IS…… Het komt er gezien de woorden van de AIVD dan ook op neer dat deze kinderen niet te redden zijn……. (hoe godverdomde gek moet je zijn om dergelijke gevaarlijke en schunnige nonsens de wereld in te sturen??!!!)
Het voorgaande door de AIVD, een organisatie die zegt aanslagen te hebben voorkomen, waarvoor ze overigens geen bewijzen wensen te overleggen, terwijl dezelfde dienst het presteert om bij echt gevaarlijke figuren deze wel in het vizier te hebben, maar daarbij ‘in slaap te vallen…..’
Nee, Laan kent totaal geen compassie met deze vrouwen en hun kinderen, in werkelijkheid is de meerderheid van deze vrouwen zelf als kind vertrokken richting Syrië……. (‘vrouwen’ zelfs van 15 jaar…)
Laan werd pissig toen haar werd voorgehouden dat ze met deze weigering internationale verdragen schendt (mocht e.e.a. tot regeringsbeleid leiden en in de wet worden vastgelegd). Daar was volgens Laan geen sprake van en zij kan het weten, ze is immers van de VVD, maar dat met dergelijke wetgeving de mensenrechten zullen worden geschonden, is meer dan duidelijk!!!
Ach ja, Laan is VVD lid, een misdadigerspartij die zich zoals gezegd meer en meer schikt naar het opkomend fascisme, zo liet Rutte onlangs weten dat hij wil samenwerken met Baudet, de fascistische leider van het ‘Forum voor Democratie’, zie: ‘Rutte zal steun zoeken bij grote en kleine partijen en bijna inslikkend ook bij het FVD‘ (zie ook de links in dat bericht)
Er wordt al wekenlang reclame gemaakt voor uitzending van de Britser film: ‘Brexit: The Uncivil War’. Een film waarin men de achtergrond van de Brexit schetst…..
Uiteraard zal men weer met het cliché komen dat de Brexit een product is van fascisten en oude seniele mensen….. (terwijl het maar de vraag is of een nieuw Brexit-referendum niet dezelfde uitslag zal geven…..)
Beter had men een film gemaakt over de echte onbeschaafde oorlogen waar Groot-Brittannië keer op keer aan meedoet, zoals de illegale oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libië en Syrië, waarbij intussen meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen werden vermoord en waarvoor de opvolgende Britse regeringen wegens oorlogsmisdaden al lang hadden moeten vastzitten……
Illegale en uitermate onbeschaafde oorlogen die de Britse belastingbetaler ook nog eens een enorm kapitaal aan belastinggeld hebben gekost, terwijl er ‘zeer beschaafd’ 4 miljoen kinderen dagelijks met honger naar school gaan, waar ze dan hun ontbijt krijgen……. De opvolgende Britse regeringen, ook Labour, hebben voor deze hulp gekozen en niet de ouders meer geld gegeven zodat ze zelf hun kinderen te eten kunnen geven voor ze naar school gaan, ‘uitermate beschaafd’, zoals je begrijpt…..
Het laatste geldt al helemaal als je nagaat dat die opvolgende ‘beschaafde regeringen’ door wanbeleid een enorm aantal werklozen hebben gecreëerd, waaronder de ouders die hun kinderen zelfs geen ontbijt kunnen geven……..
Whitney Webb schreef een uitgebreid
artikel over de terreuraanslag in Christchurch, Nieuw-Zeeland. Webb
gaat in op de 74 pagina’s tellende motivatie en ideologie van dader
Tarrant en stelt daarbij dat de westerse politiek, zeker na de komst
van Trump als VS president, taal gebruikt tegen moslims waarmee zij
worden gedemoniseerd……… Terwijl in werkelijkheid regeringen als
die van Trump de ene massamoord na de andere begaan op moslims, zo vermoordde de VS in een aantal illegale oorlogen alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen, voornamelijk moslims…… Dan is er nog de samenwerking van de Trump
administratie, de westerse media en het militair-industrieel complex,
tegen moslimlanden die niet braaf doen wat de imperialistische VS van
hen eist….
De westerse reguliere media steunen tegen beter weten in de illegale oorlogen van
de VS en verkopen deze als onvermijdbaar aan
de de westerse bevolkingen, zoals de VS dat in eigen land doet….. Vreemd genoeg geldt die in feite
mobilisatie van westerse bevolkingen tegen moslimstaten niet, als het
gaat om terreurstaten als Saoedi-Arabië en de Verenigde Arabische
Emiraten (VAE), terwijl daar dezelfde zaken ‘mis zijn’ die worden genoemd door die
media en de Trump administratie als het gaat om VS onwelgevallige regeringen, dus dictaturen die
terreurgroepen steunen en het volk onderdrukken, sterker nog: de landen die de VS niet welgevallig zijn worden gedemoniseerd als dergelijke regimes, terwijl daar in de praktijk vaak helemaal geen sprake van is…..
Zie wat betreft het voorgaande Syrië, waarover dit niet eens gezegd kon worden, echter tot op de dag
van vandaag houden de westerse massamedia en het grootste deel van de
westerse politici die leugens hoog…. (vergeet niet dat onder Assad alle geloven hand in hand naast elkaar leefden en het volk gemiddeld een redelijk inkomen had….) Door de acties van de VS, die de opstand op poten zette en regisseerde, waarna deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde een oorlog ontketende tegen het regime Assad, ligt het land voor een groot deel in puin…… Gelukkig leven de teruggekeerde vluchtelingen, in de door het reguliere Syrische leger bevrijdde gebieden, nu weer hand in hand met buren die een ander geloof aanhangen…….
De reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië, dat een bloedig beleid voert tegen Saoedische sjiieten en in buurland Jemen een genocide uitvoert op de sjiitische bevolking, wordt nog steeds
gesteund door het westen (Nederland levert zelfs nog steeds
wapenonderdelen aan die reli-fascistische dictatuur)….. Nogmaals: terwijl dat
land een genocide uitvoert in buurland Jemen……
Ook de taal die bij e.e.a. wordt
uitgeslagen heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de westerse bevolkingen achter
de illegale oorlogen van de VS en de NAVO-lidstaten tegen
moslimlanden staan. Moslims worden aangewezen als de terroristen van
de wereld, terwijl er amper of geen aandacht is voor de waanzin van
westerse landen die illegale oorlogen tegen moslimlanden voeren,
waarbij onnoemelijk veel meer moslims werden en worden vermoord, dan die door alle
‘moslimaanslagen’ in het westen bij elkaar opgeteld, sterker nog, dat aantal moorden kan daarbij zelfs niet in de schaduw staan…..* Niet vreemd dus dat die grootschalige westerse terreur, aanslagen uitlokken op de Europese straten……
Voorts wijst Webb op de andere
fascistische aanslagen op moslims en hun gebedshuizen (of andere instellingen van moslims, Ap), immers de aanslag van afgelopen maandag op de 2
moskeeën in Christchurch waren bepaald niet de eerste. (ook in Nederland werden er aanslagen op moskeeën gepleegd, al waren die niet in gebruik ten tijde van de aanslagen)
De motivatie van fascisten die aanslagen plegen zoals die in Christchurch, is
gericht tegen vluchtelingen uit moslimlanden, zonder aandacht te
schenken aan het feit waarom zij zijn gevlucht: grootschalige
westerse terreur o.l.v. de VS, waarbij zoals eerder opgemerkt alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen
moslims zijn vermoord…….

The
Christchurch Shooting and the Normalization of Anti-Muslim Terrorism
(MPN) — What
is without question the worst mass shooting in New Zealand’s
history took place on Friday when shooters, 28-year-old Australian
Brenton Tarrant among them, opened fire at two Christchurch mosques.
Four, including Tarrant, have been arrested for the heinous act,
which claimed at least 49 innocent lives. Tarrant was responsible for
killing more than 40 victims, among them several children, in a
rampage he live-streamed on Facebook, sending chills throughout the
Muslim community, particularly Muslims living in Western countries.
Tarrant’s
motives and ideology, laid bare in a 74-page
manifesto,
show a concern over the fertility rates of non-white groups as well
as the immigration of non-whites to countries like New Zealand and
Australia, which he likened to an “invasion” that threatened the
white majority in those countries. However, Tarrant — in his
ignorance — failed to grasp that many of the Muslim immigrants he
targeted had come to New Zealand after fleeing Western-backed
invasions, occupations, or persecution in their home countries.
Notable
among Tarrant’s views is the fact that he is a clear
ethno-nationalist, promoting his view that different ethnic groups
must be kept “separate, unique, undiluted in [sic] unrestrained in
cultural or ethnic expression and autonomy.” Tarrant also claimed
that he doesn’t necessarily hate Muslims and only targeted those
Muslims {i.e., immigrants) that chose “to invade our lands, live on
our soil and replace our people.”
He
also stated that he chose to target Muslims because “Islamic
nations, in particular, have high birth rates, regardless of race or
ethnicity” and to satiate “a want for revenge against Islam for
the 1,300 years of war and devastation that it has brought upon the
people of the West and other peoples of the world.” His views are
remarkably similar to those of Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik,
which is unsurprising given that Tarrant named him as an inspiration
for the shooting.
Though
many — in the hours after the shooting — have sought to place
blame and point fingers at notable demagogues like President
Donald Trump or “counter-jihad”
alt-right figures like
Laura Loomer and Jacob Wohl, it is important to place Tarrant’s
motivations in context.

Indeed,
while Trump’s rise to political power has brought Islamophobic
rhetoric into the public sphere in an undeniable way, it is a symptom
of a much broader effort aimed at propagandizing the people of the
United States and other Western countries to support wars in and
military occupations of Muslim-majority countries. This manufactured
Islamophobia, largely a product of Western governments and a
compliant mass media, has sought to vilify all Muslims by maligning
the religion itself as terrorism, in order to justify the plunder of
their countries and deflect attention from their suffering.
It
is a classic “divide and conquer” scam aimed at keeping
Westerners divided from Muslims in their own countries and abroad.
The horrific shooting in Christchurch is a testament to its
unfortunate success and pervasiveness, as well as a potent reminder
that it must be stopped.
Indeed,
this manufactured Islamophobia has made it so that Muslims in their
home countries are in danger of dying from Western-backed wars and,
if they flee to the “safer” West, they have targets on their
backs painted by the very war propaganda used to justify Western
military adventurism in Muslim-majority nations.
Islam,
the media and “Forever Wars”: Who’s the “real” terrorist?
Since
September 11th and the advent of the “War on Terror,” mass media
reporting increasingly began to conflate Muslims and Muslim-majority
nations with war, terrorism and violence in general. Indeed, 9
out of 10 mainstream
news reports on Muslims, Islam, and Islamic organizations are related
to violence and Muslims who are named on mainstream media are
all-too-frequently warlords or terrorist leaders.
This
near-constant association of Islam and violence has created the false
perception that the religion of Islam, by its very nature, is violent
and that Muslims too must then be violent and thus dangerous. This
media-driven association has had very real and troubling
consequences. For instance, a
2010 study by
the University of Exeter found “empirical evidence to demonstrate
that assailants of Muslims are invariably motivated by a negative
view of Muslims they have acquired from either mainstream or
extremist nationalist reports or commentaries in the media.” In
other words, Islamophobic media reports are directly related to hate
crimes targeting Muslims.
This
is no accident, as such biased reporting on Muslim-majority nations
also began as Western-backed wars in countries like Iraq and
Afghanistan sought to put these countries’ natural resources,
namely their oil and mineral wealth, into the hands of American
corporations. It should be no surprise then that top funders of media
outlets that have routinely promoted Islamophobic narratives are also
those who have
profited considerably
from the “War on Terror” and Western-backed regime-change wars in
other countries.
This
concerted effort to vilify Muslims has had the potent effect, likely
by design, of reducing empathy among Westerners for the largely
Muslim victims of Western military adventurism in Muslim-majority
countries. Indeed, while mainstream news outlets often trumpet the
imminent dangers Americans face from “radical Islamic terror,”
the death toll of innocent people — most of them Muslim — that
have been killed by the U.S.-led “War on Terror” is several
orders of magnitude greater than the number of Americans who have
died from all terror attacks over that same period.

For
instance, from 2001 to 2013, an estimated 3,380
Americans died from
domestic and foreign terrorism, including the September 11 attacks as
well as acts of domestic terrorism carried out by white nationalists
and supremacists. If one excludes the September 11 death toll, the
number of American deaths over that same period stands at around
400, most of
them victims of mass-killers who were not Muslim.
By
comparison, an estimated 8
million innocent people in
Muslim-majority nations died as a result of U.S. policies and wars in
the Middle East and North Africa from 2001 to 2015. Yet, the
magnitude of this loss of life of these “unworthy victims” is
minimized by media and government silence, and the creation of a
climate of Islamophobia in the West has only served to deepen the
ease with which mass murder is accepted by the aggressor countries’
populations.
Beyond
the staggering disparity in the death tolls caused by terror groups
and Western-backed imperialist wars is the fact that many of these
very Western governments that purport to be so concerned with
“radical Islamic terror” have often created and funded the most
notorious terror groups of all. Indeed, the U.S. government helped to
create Al Qaeda and continues
to protect its
Syrian branch — Hayat Tahrir al-Sham — in Syria’s Idlib
province to this day. In addition, the CIA was just recently
revealed to
be helping the Islamic State regroup in Syrian refugee camps.
Furthermore, the U.S. has long turned a blind eye to the funding
of terror groups by
allied states like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The
role of Western money, arms and policy in the creation and
maintenance of radical Wahhabi terrorist groups is often entirely
ignored by Western media portrayals of Muslim-majority nations,
thereby creating a false image that such violence is endemic to these
nations when, in fact, it is often imported state-sponsored terror.
These
nuances of the situation are rarely heard in the narratives parroted
out on mainstream media and those who regularly consume mainstream
news sources are more likely than not to support those narratives.
For that reason, it is easy to see how someone like Donald Trump —
who is said to watch television for eight
hours every day,
much of it Fox
News —
has espoused the views that he has. Thanks to the manufacturing of
Islamophobia of mainstream media, racist policies like the so-called
“Muslim ban” have found wide support, as this false narrative has
conflated Islam with violence so often that many have come to believe
that only by banning Islam can violence and terrorism in the U.S. be
reduced.
However,
the recent shooting in Christchurch, as well as the Tree of Life
Synagogue shooting and other recent acts of domestic terrorism,
should alert us to the fact that it is the hate manufactured by this
false narrative that is itself endangering American lives while also
covering up the mass murder that has been perpetrated by the U.S. and
other governments around the world for decades.
Israel’s
leading role in stoking ethnonationalism
While
the realities of post-9/11 America, as well as the rise in visibility
of white ethnonationalism during the Trump Era, have done much to
normalize attacks on immigrants, the country that has done the most
to normalize anti-Muslim terrorism over this same time frame has been
the state of Israel.
Israel,
from its founding days, has long been steeped in neocolonialist
ideology that is remarkably similar to the ideological basis behind
other settler states like the United States, Australia and New
Zealand. This system of beliefs holds that the native inhabitants of
the land — whether the Palestinians, the Sioux or the Maori — are
“primitive” and incompetent and that the land would have remained
“wild” and undeveloped were it not for the “fortunate”
appearance of European settlers. As MintPress noted
in a
previous report on
the subject, such narratives cast these settlers as both superior and
normal while the natives become inferior and abnormal, thus
obfuscating the settler’s status as foreigner and conqueror.
In
Israel’s case, this ideology has promoted the idea that all Arabs
are “sons of the desert” while the desert simultaneously
represents a barbaric obstacle to “progress” and development.
However, the state of Israel, under the lengthy tenure of current
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has seen these long-standing and
somewhat hidden underpinnings of the Zionist state burst out into the
open.
The
result has been the overt expression of ethnonationalism in such a
way that Israel has become an inspiration to white nationalists in
the United States, like Richard Spencer, and far-right ethno-fascist
leaders like Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro and India’s Narendra Modi.
The inspiration has been mutual, according to reports
and testimonials published
by Jewish newspaper The
Forward.
For
years, through its military occupation of Palestine, Israel’s
government and military have sought to paint all Palestinians,
including children, as “terrorists” or “terrorist
sympathizers.” Take, for example, current Justice Minister Ayelet
Shaked, who
wrote in
2014, “This is a war between two people. Who is the enemy? The
Palestinian people …”
A
more recent example came from former Defense Minister Avigdor
Lieberman, who asserted just
last year that
“no innocent people” live in the Gaza Strip and that every
inhabitant in the enclave is somehow connected to Hamas, even though
nearly half of Gaza’s population are children and teenagers. Such
rhetoric has become par for the course and numerous examples show
that Shaked and Lieberman’s views are increasingly accepted and
“normal” in today’s Israel.
Yet,
the clearest indication of anti-Muslim terror’s normalization in
Israel is the recent rise of Otzma Yehudit, or the “Jewish Power”
Party. This party, founded by devotees of radical American-born Rabbi
Meir Kahane, has
now merged —
at Netanyahu’s urging — with the Jewish Home Party and stands to
become part of Israel’s ruling coalition if Netanyahu manages to
win in the country’s upcoming elections.

In
the office of Itamar Ben Gvir, one of Otzma Yehudit’s leaders, is a
framed picture of
Baruch Goldstein. In an act that bears a striking similarity to the
events in Christchurch, Goldstein — a long-time devotee of Kahane —
entered a mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron in 1994 and opened
fire, killing 29 and injuring more than 125 worshippers. After the
act, Kahane’s Kach party — the predecessor of Otzma Yehudit —
was labeled a terrorist organization by the United States and Israel.
Despite
official condemnation, Goldstein’s atrocious act has been the
subject of praise and inspiration for subsequent extremists who,
under Netanyahu’s government, have become increasingly normalized.
Goldstein’s gravestone reads “He gave his life for the people of
Israel, its Torah and land” and continues to be used as a site of
pilgrimage and homage by the very extremists that Netanyahu is openly
courting for political gain.
While
the followers of Kahane are making a comeback in Israel, several
notable Arab political parties have
been banned from
participating Israel’s upcoming elections, with some being accused
of “supporting terrorism” owing to their opposition to Israel’s
decades-long military occupation of Palestine. Yet, by elevating
clear terror supporters among the ranks of the Jewish Power Party (Otzma Yehudit), it
has become increasingly clear that openly supporting and advocating
anti-Muslim terrorism is no bar to legitimacy and political power in
today’s Israel.
No
‘clash of civilizations,’ only manipulation and exploitation of
differences
The
tragic and barbaric shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand is yet
another horrific and glaring reminder that the “divide and conquer”
war propaganda that has sought to promote the so-called “clash of
civilizations” between Christianity and Islam, West and East, has
not only been monstrously effective but continues to be monstrously
destructive to people on both sides.
However,
the media’s manufacture of Islamophobia, in seeking to Wite-out
Muslim suffering and reduce Western empathy for innocent Muslim
civilians, has increasingly placed targets on the back of Muslims
everywhere — in the West and the East — making it increasingly
difficult for practitioners of the Islamic faith to feel safe
regardless of where they live.
With
most Muslim-majority countries now killing fields in Western-backed
wars, ruled by oppressive, Western-backed dictatorships, or under
threat of Western-backed regime change, even those Muslims who have
sought a safer, quieter life in the “civilized” West have now
found themselves targets thanks to the very war propaganda used to
justify the destruction of their home countries.
While
the murderer Tarrant had stated that he hoped his horrific crime
would help stoke “civil war” in Western countries, this tragedy
should and must serve as a wake up call for people everywhere that
the real forces responsible for the destruction of many
Muslim-majority countries and the current chaos present in many
Western countries are not generated by civilian populations or
religions but instead by the global oligarchy that engineers and
profits from this chaos. These oligarchs loot from the people of the
West just as they do from the people of the East and it is time to
recognize that they are the real threats to a more peaceful world —
not regular people praying, whether it be in a church, a synagogue or
a mosque.
Terecht veel ophef in de media over de aanslag op twee moskeeën in het Nieuw-Zeelandse Christchurch, waar in een fascistische terreuraanslag 49 mensen werden vermoord (al zouden er nog zwaargewonden op de IC liggen, die wellicht zullen overlijden…..)…..
‘Vreemd genoeg’ noemden de Nederlandse, Duitse, Belgische en Britse landelijke radiozenders het wel een aanslag, maar het woord ‘terreur’ werd gemeden, terwijl daar geen enkele twijfel over kan bestaan….. Ach ja, het gaat om witte (fascistische) figuren en dan mijden die media het woord terreur meestal……
Het fascisme groeit wereldwijd met de dag en daarvoor kan je de reguliere westerse media verantwoordelijk houden….. De berichtgeving over de ‘vluchtelingencrisis’ was ronduit ontluisterend in die media en daarmee werd de fascisten een grote dient bewezen, hetzelfde geldt voor de berichten over terreuraanslagen die in Europa werden gepleegd…..
Zonder dat de reguliere westerse media en politiek hebben gewezen op de grootschalige westerse terreur, o.l.v. de VS in veelal islamitische landen, westerse terreur die ‘islamitische terreur’ op de straten van de EU heeft uitgelokt (je behoefde bepaald niet de intelligentie van Einstein te bezitten om te bedenken dat er wraakacties zouden volgen voor de westerse slachtingen in landen waar dat westen helemaal niets te zoeken heeft….)…..
Ook in Nederland hebben de media fiks meegedaan aan het belazeren van het volk over westerse terreur, die godbetert werd en wordt verkocht als het brengen van democratie en hulp aan de volkeren, die deze terreur NB over zich heen hebben gekregen middels bombardementen enz…..
Het demoniseren van minderheidsgroepen in Nederland, wordt al jaren gepropageerd in de zogenaamde onafhankelijke media….
Neem Marokkanen die als uitvreters werden en worden weggezet, terwijl zij in dezelfde positie verkeren als de witte bevolking in de achterstandswijken van de 60er en 70er jaren van de vorige eeuw, mensen die destijds ook werden gedemoniseerd, terwijl de kinderen van die mensen, als de jonge Marokkanen van nu, amper of geen kansen hadden op de arbeidsmarkt…….
Terug naar Christchurch: de Australische premier heeft zoals gebruikelijk is in deze gevallen, zijn afschuw over de aanslagen uitgesproken. Onder de daders zou zich een rechts-extremistische (ofwel: fascistische) Australiër bevinden, ene Brenton Tarrant, hij zou de aanslagen ook hebben gepland…. De Australische premier Scott Morrison kan beter eens kijken hoe het mogelijk is dat er uitermate gewelddadige fascisten in Australië leven. Het fascisme in Australië werd en wordt gevoed door de Liberal Party of Australia*, waar deze partij, gesteund door de reguliere media, vluchtelingen afschildert als gelukzoekers die banen van Australische burgers komen inpikken…….
Verder is de behandeling van vluchtelingen door Australië ronduit schandalig….. Waar men ook nog eens fiks angstzaait tegen moslims als potentiële aanslagplegers, zonder (als in de EU) te wijzen op westerse terreur elders, terreur die altijd door Australië wordt gesteund, ook militair……
Laten we hopen dat de politiek en de reguliere media nu eindelijk eens echt actie onderneemt tegen fascisten en welhaast fascistisch geregeerde landen als Hongarije, Polen, Roemenië, Oostenrijk en Italië…… In plaats van zich druk te maken over ‘fake news’ (nepnieuws, dat die media NB zelf brengen), zouden de reguliere westerse media eens de waarheid moeten vertellen over de illegale westerse oorlogen en het groeiende fascisme….. Wat dat laatste betreft: bij elke verkiezing waarin fascisten niet de grootste partij zijn geworden, zijn die media in hosanna stemming, vergetend dat de fascistische partijen bij elke verkiezing groeien, met één uitzondering, Ukip in Groot-Brittannië…… Lullig genoeg moet ik dan nogmaals wijzen op de berichtgeving in de reguliere westerse media, die het fascisme alleen maar voeden…….

De show
van Stephen Colbert is een propaganda orgaan voor de rechtse
democraten en is dat in feite al heel lang. Daarmee staat Colbert ook achter de
illegale oorlogen die onder de democratische ‘vredesduif’ Obama werden aangegaan, dit onder regie van zijn rechterhand destijds Hillary Clinton
(minister van BuZa), een oorlogsmisdadiger van formaat…..
Colbert
had onlangs de democraat Tulsi Gabbard in zijn show en in
tegenstelling tot de omgang met andere politici van de Democratische Partij,
was dit geen gesprek met opgeklopte ‘humor’.
Colbert
probeerde Gabbard zelfs in het kamp te duwen van fascist David Duke
(voormalig Ku Klux Klan top), en dat van rechtse rotzakken als Steve Bannon en Matt
Gaetz……
Wat
betreft de illegale oorlogen van de VS, liet Colbert ten overvloede in zijn gesprek
met Gabbard blijken dat hij die volledig steunt, ondanks het enorme
aantal doden en landen die in puin achterblijven als de VS klaar is
met haar grootschalige terreur tegen in feite de bevolking van de
landen die het illegaal aanvalt…..
Ook de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen het bewind van Assad kwam ter sprake, waar Gabbard Colbert fijntjes liet weten dat de CIA in 2011 de ‘opstand’ tegen Assad heeft georganiseerd en geregisseerd en dat de oorlog van de VS in dat land niet gericht was tegen IS, maar tegen het bewind van Assad, waar ze ook de wapenleveringen aan terreurgroepen als IS en militaire training door de VS aan die terreurgroepen noemde…..
Jammer dat ze Assad wel een dictator noemt, terwijl hij met grote meerderheid democratisch tot president werd verkozen in 2014, een verkiezing die door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk en goed werd beoordeeld……
Vergeet voorts niet dat onder Assad alle geloven hand in hand naast elkaar leefden, een zaak die door handelingen van de VS bijna de nek werd omgedraaid…. Gelukkig leven de teruggekeerde vluchtelingen, in de gebieden die door het reguliere Syrische leger worden gecontroleerd, weer vreedzaam naast elkaar, ongeacht het geloof dat men aanhangt……
Helaas

Congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi
Gabbard recently
appeared on The
Late Show with Stephen Colbert,
where instead of the light, jokey banter about politics and who she
is as a person that Democratic presidential candidates normally
encounter on late night comedy programs, the show’s host solemnly ran
down a list of textbook beltway smears against Gabbard and made her
defend them in front of his audience.
Normally
when a Democratic Party-aligned politician appears on such a show,
you can expect jokes about how stupid Trump is and how badly they’re
going to beat the Republicans, how they’re going to help ordinary
Americans, and maybe some friendly back-and-forth about where they
grew up or something. Colbert had no time to waste on such things,
however, because this was not an interview with a normal Democratic
Party-aligned politician: this was a politician who has been loudly
and consistently criticizing US foreign policy.
After
briefly asking his guest who she is and why she’s running for
president, Colbert jumped
right into it by
immediately bringing up Syria and Assad, the primary line of attack
employed against Gabbard by establishment propagandists in American
mainstream media.
Colbert:
Do you think the Iraq war was worth it?
Gabbard:
No.
Colbert:
Do you think that our involvement in Syria has been worth it?
Gabbard:
No.
Colbert:
Do you think that ISIS could have been defeated without our
involvement and without our support of the local troops there?
Gabbard:
There are two things we need to address in Syria. One is a regime
change war that was first launched by the United States in 2011,
covertly, led by the CIA. That is a regime change war that has
continued over the years, that has increased the suffering of the
Syrian people, and strengthened groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS,
because the CIA was using American taxpayer dollars to provide arms
and training and equipment to these terrorist groups to get them to
overthrow the government. So that is a regime change war that we
should not have been engaging.
Colbert:
So, but if it is someone like Bashar al-Assad, who gasses his own
people, or who engages in war crimes against his own people, should
the United States not be involved?
Gabbard:
The United States should not be intervening to overthrow these
dictators and these regimes that we don’t like, like Assad, like
Saddam Hussein, like Gaddafi, and like Kim Jong Un. There are bad
people in the world, but history has shown us that every time the
United States goes in and topples these dictators we don’t like,
trying to end up like the world’s police, we end up increasing the
suffering of the people in these countries. We end up increasing the
loss of life, but American lives and the lives of people in these
countries. We end up undermining our own security, what to speak of
the trillions of dollars of taxpayer money that’s spent on these wars
that we need to be using right here at home.
Like
I said, this is not a normal presidential candidate. How often do you
see a guest appear on a network late night talk show and talk about
the CIA arming terrorists in Syria and the fact that US military
interventionism is completely disastrous? It just doesn’t happen. You
can understand, then, why empire propagandist Stephen Colbert spent
the rest of the interview informing
his TV audience that Tulsi Gabbard is dangerous and poisonous.
This was unwatchable. Colbert just went down the list of scripted Gabbard smears (Assad, David Duke) then sermonized about how US military intervention is a force for good in this world. All without telling a single joke. Late night “comedy” shows are propaganda for livestock.

Colbert:
You got some heat for meeting with Bashar al-Assad. Do you not
consider him a war criminal? Why did you meet with that man?
Gabbard:
In the pursuit of peace and security. If we are not willing to meet
with adversaries, potential adversaries, in the pursuit of peace and
security, the only alternative is more war. That’s why I took that
meeting with Assad. In pursuit of peace and security.
Colbert:
Do you believe he is a war criminal? Do you believe he gassed his own
people or committed atrocities against his own people?
Gabbard:
Yes. Reports have shown that that’s a fact.
Colbert:
So you believe the intelligence agencies on that. Because I head that
you did not necessarily believe those reports.
The
reason I call Colbert a propagandist and not simply a liberal empire
loyalist who happens to have been elevated by billionaire media is
because these are carefully constructed narratives that he is
reciting, and they weren’t constructed by him.
Trying
to make it look to the audience as though Gabbard is in some way
loyal to Assad has been a high-priority agenda of the mainstream
media ever since she announced her presidential candidacy.
We
saw it in her
recent appearance on The
View,
where John McCain’s sociopathic daughter called her an “Assad
apologist” and demanded that Gabbard call Assad an enemy of the
United States. We saw it in her recent CNN
town hall,
where a consultant who
worked on Obama’s 2008 campaign was
presented as an ordinary audience member to help CNN’s Dana Bash
paint Gabbard’s skepticism of intelligence reports about an alleged
chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government as something that is
weird and suspicious, instead of the only sane position in a
post-Iraq invasion world. We saw it in her
appearance on
MSNBC’s Morning
Joe last
month, where the entire panel piled on her in outrage that she
wouldn’t call Assad an enemy of the United States. It’s such a common
propaganda talking point that the New
York Times‘
Bari Weiss famously made
a laughingstock of herself by
repeating it as self-evident truth on The
Joe Rogan Experience without
having the faintest clue what specific facts it was meant to refer
to, just because she’d heard establishment pundits saying it so much.
This
is an organized smear by the mass media attempting to marry Gabbard
in the eyes of the public to a Middle Eastern leader whom the
propagandists have already sold as a child-murdering monster, and
Colbert is participating in it here just as much as the serious news
media talking heads are. It’s been frustrating to watch Gabbard fold
to this smear campaign by
acting like it’s an established fact that Assad “gases his own
people” and not the hotly contested empire-serving narrative she
knows it is.
Gabbard
is being targeted by this smear because she challenges US political
orthodoxy on military violence (the glue which holds the empire
together), so no amount of capitulation will keep them from trying to
prevent the public from trusting her words.

The journalist interrogating Tulsi seems to believe that US forces in Syria are fighting Assad. Tulsi corrects her, says those troops were deployed there to fight ISIS. These people don’t even know what’s happening in the places they want the US to occupy
“I
don’t know whether America should be the policemen of the world,”
Colbert said after
Gabard defended her position.
“It
is my opinion that we should not be,” Gabbard replied, causing
Colbert to launch into a stuffy, embarrassing sermon on the virtues
of interventionism and US hegemony that would make Bill Kristol
blush.
“If
we are not, though, nature abhors a vacuum, and if we are not
involved in international conflicts, or trying to quell international
conflicts, certainly the Russians and the Chinese will fill that
vacuum. And we will step away from the world stage in a significant
way that might destabilize the world, because the United States,
however flawed, is a force for good in the world in my opinion. Would
you agree with that?”
Again,
this is a comedy show.
Gabbard
explained that in order to be a force for good in the world the
United States has to actually do good, which means not raining fire
upon every nation it dislikes all the time. Colbert
responded by
reading off his blue index card to repeat yet another tired
anti-Gabbard smear.
“You’ve
gotten some fans in the Trump supporter world: David Duke, Steve
Bannon, and, uh, Matt, uh, Gaetz, is that his name? Matt Gaetz? What
do you make of how much they like you?”
This
one is particularly vile, partly because Gabbard
has repeatedly and unequivocally
denounced David Duke, who has a long-established
and well-known history of
injecting himself into the drama of high-profile conversations in
order to maintain the illusion of relevance, and partly because it’s
a completely irrelevant point that is brought up solely for the
purpose of marrying Tulsi Gabbard’s name to a former Ku Klux Klan
leader. Colbert only brought
this up (and made Newsweek totally
squee)
because he wanted to assist in that marrying. The fact that there are
distasteful ideologies which also happen to oppose US interventionism
for their own reasons does not change the undeniable fact that US
military interventionism is consistently disastrous and never helpful
and robs the US public of resources that are rightfully theirs.
This
interview was easily Colbert’s most blatant establishment rim job
I’ve ever seen, surpassing even the time he
corrected his own audience when
they cheered at James Comey’s firing to explain to them that Comey is
a good guy now and they’re meant to like him. Colbert’s show is
blatant propaganda for human livestock, and the fact that this is
what American “comedy” shows look like now is nauseating.
When
Tulsi Gabbard first announced her candidacy I
predicted that
she’d have the narrative control engineers scrambling all over
themselves to kill her message, and it’s been even more spectacular
than I imagined. I don’t agree with everything she says and does, but
by damn this woman is shaking up the establishment narrative matrix
more than anybody else right now. She’s certainly keeping it
interesting.

daar het middels overleg met IS (= ISIS) probeerde zoveel mogelijk
burgerslachtoffers te voorkomen en mensen toestond het bewuste gebied

Bij
de aanval van maandag kwamen voornamelijk vrouwen en kinderen
om…… Ach, dergelijke massamoorden, tevens oorlogsmisdaden, kan je verwachten van de
grootste terreurentiteit op aarde: de VS, immers het is de zoveelste
keer dat de VS een dergelijke massamoord aanricht………
‘Fijn weer dat ook de reguliere massamedia dit bericht hebben gebracht….’ Zoals gewoonlijk hebben die media dit niet gedaan….. Wel bericht men over de verrichtingen van het reguliere Syrische leger op dit laatste IS bolwerk. Je hoeft je niet af te vragen wat deze media aan nieuws hadden gebracht, als dit bombardement door het reguliere Syrische leger was uitgevoerd… Juist, de westerse massamedia en politiek hadden weer op de kop gestaan en wraakacties geëist!

US
Airstrikes Kill at Least 50, Mostly Civilians, in Eastern Syria
(ANTIWAR.COM) — Amid
talk of a never-ending
exodus of civilians from
underground in the Syrian village of Baghouz, the Kurdish SDF is
waiting on a final push into the last ISIS-held village. The US,
however, is not so patient.
On
Monday, US warplanes attacked Baghouz, killing
at least 50 people.
Details on what the intended target was is unclear, but the reports
suggest that the dead were mostly women and children.
The
attack came after the latest deadline set by the SDF for ISIS to
surrender passed on Sunday, but with many thousands having left the
village in the past few days, the SDF seemed fine just extending the
deadline and getting more people out.
In
the past few months, US airstrikes backing the SDF offensive have
killed hundreds, if not thousands, of civilians. With thousands of
civilians still believed to be in Baghouz, the US strikes are
undermining the SDF’s effort to convince them to leave, by showing
that those who try to leave may be targeted.

niet de eerste keer is dat de VS regering en de massamedia het volk
van de VS een oorlog in sleept, dan wel een staatsgreep organiseert die

gaat wel op voor het eufemisme van het jaar, immers de VS

Met
een terugkijk op zijn leve ten tijde van de tweede illegale oorlog
van de VS tegen Irak in 2003 en hoe hij toen de zaken bekeek, waar
hij het gevoel kreeg dat de argumenten voor die oorlog niet klopten,
ontleedt Camp 4 illegale oorlogen van de VS die op valse gronden
werden gevoerd.
Camp
begint met de Spaans-Amerikaanse oorlog, waar de reden voor een VS aanval het zinken was van oorlogsschip USS Maine in de
haven van Havanna. Daarna haalt hij de Vietnam oorlog aan en het
conflict in de Golf van Tonkin, waar VS oorlogsschepen ‘schoten op
weersverschijnselen die ze op de radar zagen……’ Oorlogsmisdadiger Robert McNamara wist op grond van deze in feite
false flag operatie**, president Johnson te bewegen de strijd
tegen Noord-Vietnam te intensiveren tot een ‘totale oorlog……’ Later gaf McNamara toe dat het Golf van Tonkin incident nooit
plaatsvond…… Let wel: deze oorlog kostte miljoenen het leven, deze slachtoffers werden niet alleen in Vietnam vermoord (3,8 miljoenmensen), maar ook in buurlanden Laos en Cambodja……
Vervolgens
komt de oorlog tegen Irak aan bod, een illegale oorlog waarvan
iedereen kan weten dat deze op basis van leugens werd aangegaan door
de VS, een oorlog die intussen aan meer dan 2 miljoen Irakezen het
leven heeft gekost (Camp noemt overigens een aantal van 1 miljoen
Irakese slachtoffers, nogal een verschil met schattingen die in Irak
werden gemaakt door deskundigen, al blijft een aantal van 1 miljoen
doden, een verschrikking waar je je amper iets bij voor kan
stellen….)
Camp
komt als eerste (hij begint vanaf het vierde voorbeeld) met het
bombarderen van Syrië. Jammer dat hij niet wijst op het feit dat de
VS al in 2006 heeft besloten dat Assad weg moest, niet in de laatste
plaats daar hij pijpleidingen over de grond van Syrië weigerde,
gaspijpleidingen van de Golfstaten richting Zuid-Europa…… (waarmee 2 vliegen in 1 klap worden
geveld, immers met dat gas zou Rusland een afzet probleem krijgen in
Europa…..). De VS heeft de opstand in Syrië georganiseerd en geregisseerd, waar deze terreurentiteit gewapende figuren van buiten Syrië als provocateurs heeft ingezet tijdens
die ‘opstand…’ Helaas voor de VS, maar deze keer mislukte de
opzet……
Camp
noemt veel meer feiten en zaken die de reguliere (massa-) media niet
brengen. Het verhaal eindigt tenslotte bij Venezuela, waarover Camp
o.a. vertelt dat oorlogsmisdadiger Bolton zonder blikken of blozen
stelde dat de VS uit is op de enorme olievoorraad van Venezuela (de
op 1 na grootste voorraad ter wereld, volgens Camp de grootste maar dat klopt m.i. niet). Deze bekentenis van Bolton werd niet eens gebracht door de massamedia, nee zij houden vol dat de arme
Venezolanen geholpen moeten worden, daar het hen aan alles ontbreekt,
‘zelfs aan tandpasta…’ (zie daarvoor ook de video van Lee Camp, die onder het artikel is weergegeven, waar hij ook op de ‘honger’ in Venezuela ingaat)
Niet
genoemd door Camp, maar de VN en het Rode Kruis hebben de VS terecht
gewezen met haar poging humanitaire hulp te politiseren,
daar deze organisaties al lang humanitaire hulp verstrekken in
Venezuela, er zijn zelfs 20 keer meer humanitaire hulpgoederen in
Venezuela (waaronder medicijnen) dan de VS heeft klaarstaan…..
Humanitaire hulpgoederen die zoals gezegd wel medicijnen bevatten, in
tegenstelling tot de humanitaire hulp uit de VS, terwijl de westerse massamedia en het grootste deel van de westerse politici in navolging van hun collega’s in de VS, dat keer op keer wel
stellen……. Nota bene USAID, de organisatie die de VS zendingen gereed maakt, heeft zelf toegegeven
dat zich geen medicijnen tussen die VS hulpgoederen bevinden….. Alweer een feit dat de westerse reguliere media niet hebben gemeld……

Are Being Lied Into War Again
This
is not the first time our government and our media have conspired to
drag the American people into war with another country—or helped
create a coup that will inevitably have disastrous results

Clearing House” – I was 23 when we invaded Iraq,
and I wasn’t sure it was based on lies, but something deep down in
me—just behind the spleen—told me it was based on lies. Kinda
like if your blind date shows up and you notice he has a 2004 flip
phone. It seems vaguely worrisome, and no explanation he can
haltingly supply will put you at ease. Plus, anyone else who acts
like it’s normal also becomes suspect.
The
invasion of Iraq just felt like it was a lie to me. And it turned out
that I was right, that it was a lie, and that the entirety of the
mainstream media and our government were either wrong or lying and,
most of the time, both.
Now
our government and our media are trying their damnedest to lie us
into another war, this one with Venezuela. They tell us the
Venezuelan people are desperate for necessities like toothpaste,
while independent journalists show
piles of affordable toothpaste in
Caracas.
And
even if they didn’t have toothpaste, that hardly seems like a good
reason for America to be dropping our long-range bad decisions on the
heads of innocent people. Turning a town into an impact crater for
the sake of a battle to stop gingivitis seems a bit extreme.
The
mainstream media and nearly the entirety of the U.S. government tell
us Juan Guaido is the “interim president,” even though he was
never elected to that position and the current president is still
leading the Venezuelan government and military. So I guess this
“interim” is the time between Guaido being a nobody and the time
when he goes back to being nobody but now gets to tell women at
parties, “You know, I used to be interim president.”
The
mainstream media also inform us that the Venezuelan military set U.S.
aid trucks on fire, when video shows opposition
forces doing it.
Furthermore, the idea of Venezuela taking “aid” from the country
whose sanctions are crushing them would be like the Standing Rock
Sioux accepting gift packages from the construction crews
swiss-cheesing their land to lay down the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL).
Unless the boxes are filled with industrial paper towels to help
clean up oil spills, I fail to see how it would be beneficial.
Sometimes you do indeed have to look a gift horse in the mouth (or
should I say “gift
dog”).
This
is not the first time our government and our media have conspired to
drag the American people into war with another country—or helped
create a coup that will inevitably have disastrous results. So I
thought this would be a prime moment to go through the top four
greatest hits.
Number
4: The Spanish-American War
This
is widely considered to be the birth of modern media propaganda,
because it was the first war actually started
by the media.
Newspapers fabricated atrocities in the never-ending quest for more
readers.
And
as The
New York Times noted,
“[T]he sensationalistic reporting of the sinking of the American
battleship Maine in Havana harbor on Feb. 15, 1898 … and all the
other egregious reporting leading up to the Spanish-American War
might have been considered merely cartoonish if it hadn’t led to a
major international conflict.”
I
think maybe The New York Times got that quote confused with its
mission statement: “Cartoonishly dragging America into major
international conflict since 1851!”
Number
3: The Vietnam War
Sure,
most everyone knows the catastrophic Vietnam War was precipitated by
the Gulf of Tonkin incident, in which U.S. naval vessels were fired
upon by villainous North Vietnamese torpedo boats. Following that
skirmish, Defense Secretary Robert McNamara recommended that
President Johnson retaliate, and the full-force Vietnam War had
begun. But most Americans still don’t know that there was no Gulf
of Tonkin incident—unless you count U.S. naval ships literally
firing their weapons at weather events they saw
on the radar.
The 2003 documentary “The Fog of War” finally revealed the truth.
Former Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara confessed that the Gulf
of Tonkin attack did
not actually happen.
That’s
right. It never happened. Much like leprechauns or dragons or Simon
Cowell’s talent, it was a figment of our national imagination.
The
lies of our government, followed by the fawning, credulous reporting
from our media, led to the death of 58,000 U.S. service members and
as many as 3.8 million Vietnamese.
The
United States government has one of the most powerful Departments of
Fabrication and Falsification ever assembled. It’s a modern marvel
on par with the Great Pyramid of Giza and Rafael Nadal’s
down-the-line running forehand.
Number
2: The Iraq War
Of
course, there’s the most obvious lie about Iraq, i.e., that Saddam
Hussein had so many weapons of mass destruction that he would often
use one to scrub hard-to-reach places while in the tub. But that
wasn’t the only falsehood manifested to bring about our complete
annihilation of the sovereign nation Saddam ruled over. There were
others, such as the idea that Saddam was connected to al-Qaida and
perhaps played a role in the 9/11 attacks. William Safire at The New
York Times, in May
2002, wrote,
“Mohamed Atta, destined to be the leading Sept. 11 suicide
hijacker, was reported last fall by Czech intelligence to have met at
least once with Saddam Hussein’s espionage chief in the Iraqi
Embassy.”
Yes,
Safire was able to polish a load of bullshit so thoroughly it would
sparkle like a sapphire. And that column is still up on the Times’
website, without a correction or retraction. I would say the Times is
only useful for covering the bottom of a birdcage, but I’d fear the
paper would lie your pet cockatoo into an ill-advised invasion,
killing millions.
But
the propaganda didn’t even stop there. There was also the anthrax
attacks following 9/11. Anthrax was mailed to press outlets and the
offices of politicians. To this day, many people still believe it had
something to do with Iraq or al-Qaida because of award-winning
national embarrassments like
Brian Ross.
“Brian
Ross at ABC News wrote ‘the anthrax in the tainted letter sent to
Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle was laced with bentonite’ and
‘bentonite is a trademark of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s
biological weapons program.’ ” As Salon so clearly put it,
“All of those factual claims … were completely false,
demonstrably and unquestionably so. … Yet neither ABC nor Ross have
ever retracted, corrected, clarified, or explained these fraudulent
reports.”
And,
as you would expect, following that blatantly false reporting, Brian
Ross did not lose his job. In fact, he wasn’t put out to pasture
from ABC News until
last year,
when he “reported that fired national security adviser Michael
Flynn was ready to testify that Trump told him to contact the
Russians during the campaign.”
That
report—much like the rumors of Brian Ross’s journalistic
integrity—turned out to be absolutely false.
(In
my professional opinion, anyone who had anything to do with the
selling, perpetrating or planning of the Iraq War should never again
hold a position higher than assistant trainee to the guy who picks up
the shit of a dog that does not belong to anyone of any particular
importance. If that position does not exist, we as a nation should
create it just for this moment. Yet, despite my objections, Robert
Mueller (head of the FBI at the time of the invasion and a big
supporter of it) is leading the biggest investigation in the country.
John Bolton, who advocated for the Iraq invasion as far back as the
1990s, is now national security adviser. Bill Kristol, who pushed for
the war and said it would last two months, is now a regular panelist
on MSNBC. And the list goes on.)
Unlike
Defense Secretary McNamara, who admitted the Gulf of Tonkin incident
never happened, we don’t have a smoking gun showing that the Bush
administration created these lies to get us into Iraq. … Oh, wait!
Turns out the paper shredder at the Bush Oval Office was on strike
for a higher minimum wage in 2002, and in fact, we do have a memo
written by Bush’s defense secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, a year before
U.S. forces unleashed a reign of terror on the Iraqi people. His memo
about warwith
Iraq stated, “How
start? US discovers Saddam connection to Sept 11 or to anthrax
attacks? Or maybe a dispute over WMD inspections?”
I’m
not sure what’s more striking—that this memo exists, or that it
sounds like the Bush boys planned a massive international battle the
same way a broke 35-year-old maps out his bad novel that he’s sure
is the ticket out of his mom’s basement.
“How
start horrible bloody war? Maybe Saddam found to moonlight as porn
star?”
Point
is, multiple completely false stories laid the groundwork for an
invasion of Iraq that left well
over 1 million people
dead.
Number
1: The Bombing of Syria
President
Bashar Assad gassed his own people, thereby guaranteeing more
American involvement—and he did it just days after Donald Trump had
told the Pentagon to begin withdrawing troops from Syria. At least,
that’s the story the corporate media repeated on-loop for at least
a month, only pausing every 10 minutes to try desperately to get us
all to buy more things with “baconator” in the name or to seek
out a harder penis.
So
we are expected to believe Assad did the one thing that would ensure
more U.S. involvement just as he was about to win his war? It’s
kinda like how, when I’m about to win a fistfight, I often poke
myself repeatedly in the eye. You know—just to keep it exciting.

done great work showing that the chemical attacks never happened, but
there’s a new update. Just two weeks ago, a BBC producer came
forward and said the Douma, Syria, chemical attack footage
was staged.
His
tweet said that after six months of investigations, he can prove that
no fatalities occurred in the hospital. Yet our breathlessly inept
mainstream American media, with little to no evidence, ran around
saying, “There was a chemical attack! Those poor people! And they
don’t have toothpaste, either! We must bomb them to help them!”
The
overarching point here is that we’ve replaced our media with
stenographers to the ruling elite long ago. The ruling class comes up
with a lie to manufacture American consent for its all-American war
crimes, and that lie is then sprayed like laminate all over average
American citizens. This goes on until such time as any average
citizens who question said lie is looked at like they have two heads,
and one of them is covered in rat shit.
For
the “journalists” who hose the lies across the country the best,
awards and private jets and rooftop drinks with midlevel celebrities
like Chuck Norris await them. Now we’re getting to the point where
the actual rulers—the Trump administration, etc.—are not even
hiding their corruption. John Bolton stated
on Fox News that
the ultimate goal is to steal Venezuela’s oil. But our media
continue to tout the propaganda line. Even after Bolton said that,
you won’t see Anderson Cooper or one of Fox News’ grand wizards
saying, “Venezuela is undergoing a U.S.-backed coup because we’d
like to steal their oil.” It’s truly dizzying that the corporate
media preserve the propaganda even after the “leaders” have
revealed their true sinister intentions.
On
the inside of Wolf Blitzer’s eyelids, the phrase, “Must Defend
the Matrix” blinks in red.
The
propaganda line for Venezuela right now is, “We want to help the
poor Venezuelans.” Well, if you want to help them, then keep
America out of their face. Don’t force them to have anything to do
with the country that came up with drive-through fried food served in
a bucket and opioid nasal sprays. At no point does anyone look at the
Donald Trump presidency and think, “Wow, that country really has
things figured out. I hope they bring some of their great
decision-making to our doorstep.”
