Hij bekeek de video waarin Jeremy Corbyn, de huidige Labour
voorzitter, gehakt maakt van dit verhaal en kan niet anders dan
concluderen dat het hier gaat om een dikke vette leugen van de Britse
regering May…..
Er
zijn (ook op deze plek) al veel argumenten gegeven waarom het aanslag
verhaal op Skripal grote onzin is en daar kunnen er met deze video
een paar aan toegevoegd worden. Zoals de vaststelling dat het
ongelofelijk dom zou zijn van de Russen, als ze Skripal al wilden
vermoorden, dit te doen met een zenuwgas dat is bedacht in de
voormalige Sovjet Unie, genoeg alternatieven voorhanden die niet naar
Rusland wijzen…….
Dan
nog: alsof Rusland niet bij machte zou zijn om bij een dergelijke
moord geen sporen na te laten…… Gezien de algehele hysterie van
de laatste paar jaar, waarbij Rusland zo ongeveer de schuld krijgt
voor alles wat er mis gaat in de wereld, zou het wel extra dom zijn
van de Russen een dergelijke aanslag uit te voeren!
Voorts
is er nog steeds geen hard bewijs voor de Russische schuld geleverd door de Britten, alsof de
regering May op haar ‘blauwe ogen’ is te vertrouwen…… ha! ha! ha!

backed to them.

It is completely false that only the Russians have access to this
particular nerve agent.
Al
meer dan een maand geleden werd bekend gemaakt dat in het Syrische
gebied Oost-Ghouta waar o.a. de stad Douma ligt, de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische
moordenaars die beschikken over gifgas, zoals bekend in het
westen…..*) bezig waren met de voorbereiding van een gifgasaanval
en dat er i.d.d. een grote hoeveelheid chlorine werd opgeslagen (zie o.a. de eerste links opgenomen onder het artikel van Anti-Media)……..
Het
is dan ook volkomen duidelijk dat het bij de gifgasaanval op Douma om de zoveelste ‘false flag’ operatie gaat. Tot nu toe zijn alle gifgasaanvallen in Syrië, die sinds de strijd daar begon en die onafhankelijk
werden onderzocht, toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen….’
Ondanks deze kennis blijft men volhouden dat Assad de schuldige is,
zoals de grote gifgasaanval van 2013, die naderhand door de VN aan de
‘gematigde rebellen’ werd toegeschreven……. (nog steeds wordt niet
alleen in de politiek, maar zelfs in de media volgehouden dat dit een
gifgasaanval was, die werd gepleegd door het Assad regime…….. En
maar lullen over ‘fake news……’)
Ongelofelijk
dat men gisteren ‘al wist wie de schuldige is’, Donald ‘Joker’
Trump had maar een half woord nodig om tekeer te gaan tegen
Assad……. Benieuwd of hij daar de dagen ervoor al op had geoefend, immers
deze aanval is minstens met medeweten van de VS gepleegd……..
Als
één van de betrouwbare bronnen werden uiteraard de White Helmets genoemd, een steungroep voor Al Qaida en andere terreurgroepen in Syrië……. Ondanks dat er voldoende bewijs is voor het zich schuldig maken aan terreur door de White Helmets, plus de verdere steun van deze zogenaamde humanitaire hulporganisatie voor de terreurgroepen, o.a door als spreekbuis te dienen voor deze terroristen (die vreselijke misdaden hebben begaan in Syrië), blijven westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media deze groep als een ‘humanitaire hulporganisatie’ zien…….
Tja,
als eerste moet je je altijd afvragen bij dergelijke aanvallen, wie
heeft er het meest baat bij, daarna is de vraag ‘waarom’ meestal
heel makkelijk te beantwoorden, waarbij alleen nog het wachten is op de
bevestiging van je vermoeden. Tegelijk moet je je afvragen wat de
door de politiek en media aangewezen schuldige er voor baat bij had om
een dergelijke aanval te doen….
Gezien
alle beschuldigingen aan het adres van de Syrische regering, zou het
nogal dom zijn om een dergelijke aanval uit te voeren, zeker daar het
Syrische leger zonder dit soort oorlogsmisdaden de terroristen steeds
verder terugdringt…….. Daarnaast hebben internationale chemische
wapenexperts gezegd, dat het Syrische leger geen chemische wapens meer
heeft (dit bijvoorbeeld i.t.t. De VS, die ze al lang had moeten
vernietigen….)….
De ‘gematigde rebellen’ hebben baat bij deze beschuldiging, daar ze op het punt staan verdreven te worden uit Douma (nogmaals: al voor deze gifgasaanval)……. Daarbij rekent men op de steun van de VS in de strijd tegen het reguliere Syrische leger……. Bovendien hebben deze ‘gematigde rebellen’ de beschikking over gifgas (zie ook de noot * onder het hierna opgenomen artikel)
Al
is een dergelijke handelswijze, het afwegen wie er baat heeft bij deze aanval, in dit geval niet eens nodig, daar zoals gezegd alle
voorgaande gifgasaanvallen aan de gematigde rebellen zijn
toegeschreven. Behalve dacht ik die op Khan Sheikhoun, daar de
terreurgroep ter plaatse een onderzoekscommissie waaraan ook de Russen zouden deelnemen, categorisch hebben geweigerd (met steun van de VS)…….. Hoewel er
naderhand bewijzen te over waren, voor de claim dat zoals gezegd een
voorraad chlorine van deze terroristen werd geraakt bij een
bombardement van de Syrische luchtmacht……
Gezien
de uiterst fanatieke, veel te snelle reactie van Trump en o.a. plork Macron, de Franse president, moet gevreesd
worden dat deze figuren de Russen zullen uitdagen door het voortouw te nemen om
Damascus en andere steden, van het legitieme, democratisch gekozen
Syrische bewind, te bombarderen……… We mogen hopen dat Putin, zoals hij al vaker heeft gedaan, zijn verstand zal gebruiken, anders zijn de ‘oorlogsrapen’
definitief gaar……
Trouwens, op 26 februari maakte de anti-Assad propaganda machine bekend dat er een gifgasaanval op Oost-Ghouta zou zijn gepleegd, zoals nu blijkt ‘een beetje voortijdig….’

when the US admitted Syrian
“rebels” have used chemical weapons? Or
when earlier this year, the now former Secretary of State blamed
Russia for an alleged Syrian chemical attack, despite
admitting he
doesn’t know who actually did it?Or
when the US finally admitted there
was “no evidence” Assad used sarin gas? Or just last week, when
Trump said that
the US is finally pulling out of Syria as a result of the defeat
of ISIS (much to the Pentagon’s
fury and
open-ended timetable for extracting
Syrian resources)?
Well,
maybe you do,
but the neocons areback
in charge of US war
preparations foreign
policy – now that war hawk John Bolton is Trump’s National
Security Advisor – are so stuck with the age-old narrative that
Assad is desperate to be bombed at any cost, that none of this
actually matters, and instead the big story overnight is once
again that,
lo and behold, Assad decided to gas some “rebels” again, despite
now overwhelmingly winning the war against US-backed insurgents, and
despite knowing very well that exactly
one year ago an
alleged “chemical attack” prompted Trump to launch dozens of
Tomahawks at Syria.
This
is what happened (if you’ve seen this script played out before, you
are not alone).
On
Saturday night, an alleged chemical attack on a rebel-held town in
eastern Ghouta reportedly killed dozens of people, according to
US-linked medical services with Washington immediately responding
that the reports – if confirmed – would demand an immediate
international response. Actually scratch the “if confirmed” part
– after all, the last time the US “intervened” in Syria, on
April 7, 2017, the US did not need confirmation; Trump just needed a
geopolitical distraction.
It
seems that he needs another one again, and ideally one that shows
just how angry he is with Putin now that an interview with Mueller is
reportedly imminent.
A
joint statement by the medical relief organization Syrian American
Medical Society (SAMS) and the civil defense service, which operates
in rebel-held areas, said 49 people had died in the attack late on
Saturday. Others put the toll at 150 or more.

The
response from the Assad side was similarly predictable: the Syrian
regime, whose overthrow the US failed to achieve in the course of the
6 year proxy war in order to facilitate the transport of Qatari
natural gas to Europe, denied its forces had launched any chemical
attack as the reports began circulating and said the rebels were
collapsing and fabricating news.
The
Syrian state news agency SANA said Jaish al-Islam was making
“chemical attack fabrications in an exposed and failed attempt to
obstruct advances by the Syrian Arab army,” citing an official
source.
Meanwhile, Reuters
said it could not independently verify the reports.
Others did the same: The Syrian Observatory said it
could not confirm whether chemical weapons had been used in the
attack on Saturday.
But,
as we noted above, who needs confirmation: after all, if the 2013
“chemical attack” that started it all and was later proven to be
a hoax was sufficient, just do the same. And sure enough, a video
uploaded by “local media activists” allegedly showed bodies of
victims – including women and children – of the reported chemical
attack in Douma. Once again, nobody has actually confirmed if anyone
has died.

Meanwhile,
the US, itching for that military spending GDP boost was ready with
the outraged retort: the U.S. State Department said reports of mass
casualties from the attack were “horrifying” and would, if
confirmed, “demand an immediate response by the international
community”. At the same time, Britain’s
Foreign
Office also called the reports, if confirmed, “very concerning”
and said “an urgent investigation is needed and the international
community must respond. We call on the Assad regime and its backers,
Russia and Iran, to stop the violence against innocent civilians.”
Note
the “if confirmed” part, and keep an eye on how the narrative
switches from that to “the attack was confirmed.”
If the Skripal case is any indication, just repeating it often
enough, should be sufficient.
Trump
already did his part on Sunday morning, when he tweeted several
statements on the alleged attack as
if it was already confirmed, just
as one would expect to accelerate the escalation:

Then,
for good measure, Trump decided to throw Obama under the bus for not
crossing his “red line in the sand”, once again assuming
the attack was confirmed.
If
President Obama had crossed his stated Red Line In The Sand, the
Syrian disaster would have ended long ago! Animal Assad would have
been history!
After
the alleged attack, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauret
recalled a 2017 sarin gas attack in northwestern Syria that the West
and the United Nations blamed on Assad’s government. “The Assad
regime and its backers must be held accountable and any further
attacks prevented immediately,” she said adding that “The United
States calls on Russia to end this unmitigated support immediately
and work with the international community to prevent further,
barbaric chemical weapons attacks.”
The
US also said yet again that Russia
is “ultimately bearing responsibility” for all chemical incidents
in Syria, regardless of who carried them out, after
rebel sources accused Damascus of gassing dozens in Eastern Ghouta’s
Douma. In other words, even if the “chemical attack” was
carried out by US-backed “rebels”, or better yet “ISIS”, it’s
Putin’s fault.
“The
regime’s history of using chemical weapons against its own people
is not in dispute,” said the US State Department, indicating,
however, that it was relying on “reports,” being unable to
confirm the incident. “Russia ultimately bears responsibility for
the brutal targeting of countless Syrians with chemical weapons.”
As
for Russia, its Defense Ministry immediately denied and dismissed as
false reports that the Syrian government had carried out a chemical
attack in Eastern Ghouta’s Douma: “We strongly refute this
information,” Major General Yury Yevtushenko, head of the
Reconciliation Center in Syria, said in a statement on Sunday. “We
declare our readiness, after Douma is liberated from the militants,
to immediately send Russian radiation, chemical and biological
protection specialists to collect data that will confirm the
fabricated nature of these allegations,”
he stated.
Yevtushenko
said that “a number of Western countries” are trying to prevent
the resumption of an operation aimed at driving militants from the
city of Douma.
“For
this purpose, the use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces
– one of the most widespread claims in the West – is being
used,” he
added.
And,
knowing where this is all headed, Russia’s Foreign Ministry says in
statement on website that reports of chemical weapons attack in
rebel-held town of Douma are fabricated, and
any military operations against Syria on false pretenses may lead to
“gravest consequences.”
Russia warns the US not to strike Syria after the chemical attack: “Military intervention under false & fabricated pretexts in Syria, where Russian servicemen stay at the request of the legitimate government, is absolutely unacceptable and may trigger the gravest consequences.”
The
Russians added that “the
goal of such reports is to aid terrorists and justify possible
military strikes from outside Syria.”
Russia
is correct, and it is now just a matter of time before Trump unveils
his next grand diversion from the chaos at home and the trade war
with China, by launching another 50 or so Tomahawks at some venue
deep inside Syria, in a carbon copy repeat of what happened exactly
one year ago.

Dat bleek o.a. na de zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Kahn Sheikhun,
waarbij een opslagplaats van de ‘ gematigde rebellen’ met chlorine
werd geraakt…….. Daar stelde men eerst dat er sarin gas zou
zijn gebruikt, echter daar bleek niets van waar, het was chlorine (dit bleek al bij de eerste beelden van slachtoffers, waarbij de hulpverleners te zien waren, die geen beschermende kleding droegen, iets dat men sarin gas absoluut noodzakelijk is, daar de onderzoekers anders hun leven riskeren….).
Ondanks dat dus bekend werd gemaakt dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’
voorraden gifgas in het bezit hadden, werd daar verder niets, met ook maar enige afkeuring, over
gezegd in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media, of in de westerse politiek……. De VS liep
overigens al eens tegen de lamp, toen er beelden
naar buiten werden gebracht van een VS jager, die men de kleuren van
de Syrische luchtmacht had gegeven. Het is overduidelijk dat men met
deze jager een aanval had willen uitvoeren (en wellicht al had uitgevoerd..), om deze in de schoenen
van Assad te schuiven (het zou de zoveelste false flag operatie van de VS zijn geweest)…….
Op
CounterPunch werd afgelopen woensdag een artikel
van Colin Todhunter gepubliceerd. Hierin stelt Todhunter dat alles
erop lijkt dat we op weg zijn naar WOIII, maar dat de reguliere media de wereldbevolking op grove manier misleiden door dit te verzwijgen…….
De
illegale oorlog van de VS en de NAVO tegen het Libië van Khadaffi
hebben de sociale structuur en de infrastructuur van dat land volledig in puin
gelegd…….. Khadaffi moest vallen daar hij de westerse hegemonie
in Afrika probeerde te ondermijnen en het continent zelfstandig wilde maken….. Waar zijn wil voor de introductie van de gouden dinar niet vergeten
moet worden, een munt die anders dan de dollar op op de tegenwaarde
van goud gebaseerd zou zijn, terwijl de dollar lucht als tegenwaarde heeft…… Met de gouden dinar wilde Khadaffi de dollar

enorme leugens, als het opkomen voor mensenrechten, democratie brengen of een dictator
verstoten, zogenaamde politieke argumenten, herhaald door de reguliere westerse media, werd de
westerse bevolking klaargestoomd voor deze illegale oorlog, zoals dit
eerder al gebeurde voorafgaand aan de door de VS (met behulp van o.a. NAVO landen) illegaal gevoerde oorlogen tegen Afghanistan en Irak…..
Todhunter
legt verder uit dat de demonisering van Rusland en China met maar
één doel wordt gevoerd: een oorlog van de VS tegen deze landen
om zo haar wereldhegemonie te kunnen vestigen over de gebieden die deze landen
vertegenwoordigen, of beter gezegd verder uit te
breiden, immers de VS heeft rond Rusland en China een enorm aantal
militaire bases gebouwd……….
Voor de oorlogen tegen Afghanistan,
Irak, Libië en Syrië, bediende de VS zich van dezelfde massa misleiding, waar zoals gezegd ook destijds het grootste deel van de westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media braaf aan mee hebben
gedaan…….
Uitermate
wrang dat de politici die met deze misleiding bezig zijn, inclusief
de door hen gesteunde media, nu het grootste woord voeren over ‘fake
news’ (of ‘nepnieuws’) terwijl zij in feite de grote verkondigers zijn van
fake news en dan fake news waarmee deze eeuw al meer dan 2 miljoen
mensen zijn vermoord (door de VS en haar hielenlikkende westerse
bondgenoten van de NAVO)…….
In
Libya, NATO bombed a path to Tripoli to help its proxy forces on the
ground oust Gaddafi. Tens of thousands lost their lives and that
country’s social fabric and infrastructure now lies in ruins.
Gaddafi was murdered and his plans to assert African independence and
undermine Western (not
least French)
hegemony on that continent have been rendered obsolete.
In
Syria, the US, Turkey, France, Britain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have
been helping to arm militants. The Daily Telegraph’s March 2013
article “US and Europe in ‘major airlift of arms to Syrian rebels
through Zagreb’” reported that 3,000 tons of weapons dating back
to the former Yugoslavia had been sent in 75 planeloads from Zagreb
airport to the rebels. The New York Times March 2013 article “Arms
Airlift to Syria Rebels Expands, With CIA Aid” stated that Arab
governments and Turkey had sharply increased their military aid to
Syria’s opposition fighters. This aid included more than 160
military cargo flights.
Over
the last 15 years or so, politicians and the media have been
manipulating popular sentiment to get an increasingly war-fatigued
Western public to support ongoing wars under the notion of protecting
civilians or a bogus ‘war on terror’. They spin a yarn about
securing women’s rights or a war on terror in Afghanistan, removing
despots from power in Iraq, Libya or Syria or protecting human life,
while then going on to attack or help destabilise countries,
resulting in the loss of hundreds of thousands of civilian lives.
Emotive
language designed to instil fear about potential terror attacks in
Europe or myths about humanitarianism intervention are used as a
pretext to wage imperialist wars in mineral-rich countries and
geostrategically important regions.
Part
of the battle for the public’s hearts and minds is to keep people
confused. They must be convinced to regard these wars and conflicts
as a disconnected array of events and not as the planned machinations
of empire. The ongoing disinformation narrative about Russian
aggression is part of the strategy. Ultimately, Russia (and China) is
the real and increasingly imminent target: Moscow has stood in the
way of the West’s plans in Syria and both Russia and China
are undermining
the role of the dollar in
international trade, a lynchpin of US power.
The
countries of the West are effectively heading for war with Russia but
relatively few among the public seem to know or even care. Many are
oblivious to the slaughter that has already been inflicted on
populations with the help of their taxes and governments in far-away
lands. With the reckless neoconservative warmonger John Bolton now
part of the Trump administration, it seems we could be hurtling
towards major war much faster than previously thought.
Most
of the public remains blissfully ignorant of the psy-ops being
directed at them through the corporate media. Given recent
events in the UK and the ramping up of anti-Russia rhetoric, if
ordinary members of the public think that Theresa May or Boris
Johnson ultimately have their best interests at heart, they should
think again. The major transnational corporations based on Wall
Street and in the City of London are the ones setting Anglo-US policy
agendas often via the Brookings Institute, Council on Foreign
Relations, International Crisis Group, Chatham House, etc.
The
owners of these companies, the capitalist class, have off-shored
millions of jobs as well as their personal and company tax
liabilities to boost their profits and have bankrupted economies. We
see the results in terms of austerity, unemployment, powerlessness,
privatization, deregulation, banker control of economies, corporate
control of food and seeds, the stripping away of civil liberties,
increased mass surveillance and wars to grab mineral resources and
ensure US dollar hegemony. These are the interests the politicians
serve.
It’s
the ability to maximise profit by shifting capital around the world
that matters to this class, whether on the back of distorted free
trade agreements, which open the gates for plunder, or through
coercion and militarism, which merely tear them down.
Whether
it is the structural violence of neoliberal economic policies or
actual military violence, the welfare of ordinary folk around the
world does not enter the equation. In an imposed oil-thirsty,
war-driven system of globalised capitalism and over-consumption that
is wholly unnecessary and is stripping the planet bare, the bottom
line is that ordinary folk – whether workers in the West, farmers
in India or
civilians displaced en masse in war zones like Syria – must be bent
according to the will of Western capital.
We
should not be fooled by made-for-media outpourings of morality about
good and evil that are designed to create fear, outrage and support
for more militarism and resource-grab wars. The shaping of public
opinion is a multi-million-dollar industry.
Take
for instance the mass harvesting of Facebook data by Cambridge
Analytica to shape the outcomes of the US election and the Brexit
campaign. According to journalist Liam
O’Hare,
its parent company Strategic Communications Laboratories (SCL) has
conducted ‘behavioural change’ programmes in over 60 countries
and its clients have included the British Military of Defence, the US
State Department and NATO. According to O’Hare, the use of the
media to fool the public is one of SCL’s key selling points.
Among
its activities in Europe have been campaigns targeting Russia. The
company has “sweeping links” with Anglo-American political and
military interests. In the UK, the interests of the governing
Conservative Party and military-intelligence players are brought
together via SCL: board members include “an array of Lords, Tory
donors, ex-British army officers and defense contractors.”
O’Hare
says it is clear is that all SCL’s activities have been
inextricably linked to its Cambridge Analytica arm. He states:
“International deception and meddling is the name of the game for
SCL. We finally have the most concrete evidence yet of shadowy actors
using dirty tricks in order to rig elections. But these operators
aren’t operating from Moscow… they are British, Eton educated,
headquartered in the City of London and have close ties to Her
Majesty’s government”
So,
what are we to make of the current anti-Russia propaganda we witness
regarding the nerve agent incident in Salisbury and the failure of
the British government to provide evidence to demonstrate Russian
culpability? The relentless accusations by Theresa May and Boris
Johnson that have been parroted across the corporate media in the
West indicate that the manipulation of public perception is
everything and facts count for little. It is alarming given what
is at stake – the escalation of conflict between the West and a
major nuclear power.
US
social commentator Walter Lippmann once said that ‘responsible men’
make decisions and have to be protected from the ‘bewildered herd’
– the public. He added that the public should be subdued, obedient
and distracted from what is really happening. Screaming patriotic
slogans and fearing for their lives, they should be admiring with awe
leaders who save them from destruction.
Although
the West’s political leaders are manipulating, subduing and
distracting the public in true Lippmannesque style, they aren’t
‘saving’ anyone from anything: their reckless actions towards
Russia could lead towards a war that could wipe out all life on the
planet.

Gives Murderous Saudi Crown Prince the Red Carpet Treatment
(ANTIMEDIA)—Saudi
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) recently met with leaders of a
number of right-wing Jewish organizations, including the notorious
pro-Israel lobby AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee),
according to aleaked
copyof
his itinerary obtained by Haaretz.
Aside
from AIPAC, MBS also met with a number of other groups that
have donated millions
to illegal settlement building. These groups are also responsible for
launching efforts to quash the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions
(BDS) movement and include the likes of the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) and the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA), as well
leaders from the Conference of Presidents, B’nai B’rith, and the
American Jewish Committee (AJC).
If
ever proof was needed that Saudi Arabia has completely abandoned the
Palestinian people in favor of its longstanding commitment to focus
its resources on its regional power struggle against Iran, this is
it. AIPAC is one of the primary
backers of legislation in
the U.S. that seeks to target and stifle BDS,
allegedly spending millions in the process.
Between
2012 and 2015, JFNA reportedly gave
almost $6 million to advance illegal Israeli settlements, allegedly
also aiding Jewish families suspected or convicted of violence
against Palestinian people.
This
latest development is part of an overall
pattern of
a continued
strengthening of ties between
Israel and Saudi Arabia (even though Saudi Arabia technically doesn’t
recognize Israel as a state). What we should worry about, however, is
the likelihood that Saudi Arabia will be expecting something from
Israel in return for MBS’ newfound partnership with Israel, and it
shouldn’t be too hard to venture a guess as to what that something
is.

Israel, the only country with the military capabilities to threaten
Lebanon’s fragile peace. Will Mohammed bin Salman go as far as
striking a deal with Israel in which he offers full normalisation in

As
the Saudi-Israel alliance solidifies, expect things to heat up in
both Syria and Lebanon. The most direct way of countering Iran’s
expanding influence without going to war with Iran on Iranian soil is
through these latter two countries, and Saudi
Arabia has
had its sights set on both of them for a long time now — as has
Israel.
On
another note, MBS is also reportedly set to meet with Oprah Winfrey
and has already met with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Senator Chuck
Schumer, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, alleged war
criminal Henry Kissinger, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
the New
York Times’ Thomas
Friedman, Rupert Murdoch, CIA director Mike Pompeo (who is next in
line for the position of secretary of state), Vice President Mike
Pence, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and Jared Kushner, who MBS
allegedly bragged about
having “in his pocket.”
He
is also set to meet renowned business leaders such as Bill Gates,
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Apple’s Tim Cook, and the CEOs of
Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, Uber, the Walt Disney Company and Lockheed
Martin (no surprises
on that last one).
Hoorde gistermiddag toen ik rond 14.16 u. afstemde op BBC World Service (een ‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’), de correspondent van de BBC in Turkije, Mark Lowen spreken over de aanslag van de Koerden (was nog niet zeker en is bij mijn weten nog steeds niet opgeëist) in het Zuidoosten van Turkije, waarbij 6 gemeentewerkers omkwamen en 3 anderen plus 4 soldaten gewond waren geraakt.
Zoals gezegd, de aanslag was (en is) nog niet opgeëist, maar toch ging Lowen daar al vanuit….. Omslachtig begon hij te vertellen over ‘de spanningen’ in het gebied (‘de spanningen’ ofwel de oorlog van het Turkse leger tegen de Koerden, waar pottenkijkers geweerd worden).
Het begon al goed toen Lowen onomstotelijk vaststelde dat de PKK een terreurorganisatie is, waarbij Lowen een opsomming gaf van het soort terreur……. Vervolgens stelde Lowen dat de YPG innige banden heeft met de PKK en het dus logisch is dat Turkije illegaal oorlog voert in Syrië tegen deze beweging en Koerden in het algemeen……. De YPG heeft nooit ook maar één aanslag gepleegd in Turkije, al zou de aanslag van gisteren de eerste kunnen zijn en dat met als oorzaak de grootschalige Turkse terreur in Syrië……
Ook de Koerden in Irak moesten het ontgelden bij Lowen en was de illegale Turkse inval in Noord-Irak (een oorlogsmisdaad van giga formaat) van een paar jaar geleden volkomen terecht……. (je begrijpt dat Lowen natuurlijk niet over een illegale inval, ofwel oorlog sprak)
Lowen sprak nog wel over de wapenstilstand die eenzijdig door Turkije werd opgezegd (al meldde hij dit er niet bij), wat toch duidelijk maakt dat er twee partijen geweld gebruiken, maar vertelde niets, dan ook helemaal niets over de uiterst wrede terreur van het Turkse leger in de Koerdische gebieden (in het Zuidoosten van Turkije), onderdrukking en terreur die de PKK terecht naar de wapens deed grijpen……….
Nee voor Lowen staat het vast: de PKK is een terreurorganisatie en alles wat Koerdisch is moet wel gelieerd zijn aan de PKK, alsof het vreemd is dat het ontstaan van de PKK in Turkije een reactie was op de onderdrukking en de bloedige terreur van Turkije tegen de Koerdische minderheid…….
Lowen is blijkbaar bang dat hij zoals alle journalisten met een millimeter kritiek, meteen het land wordt uitgezet, of domweg wordt gevangengezet, zoals het alle kritische Turkse journalisten (althans buiten de paar die zijn gevlucht…) en een aantal buitenlandse journalisten is vergaan………………
Turkije is een reli-fascistische dictatuur en het is ronduit een grof schandaal dat de zogenaamd onafhankelijke BBC op deze uiterst gekleurde manier durft te berichten!!! Moet je nagaan, dezelfde BBC die zo ongelofelijk tekeer ging tegen de Syrische wil Oost-Ghouta te bevrijden van de immense terreur van groepen tegen de bevolking van dat stadsdeel, terreurgroepen die hier ‘gematigde rebellen’ worden genoemd….. Kortom de BBC geeft de slachtoffers van de Turkse terreur de schuld voor die terreur in het Syrische gebied waar Turkije NB illegaal oorlog voert…..
Met de benoemingen van John Bolton, een gewetenloze
psychopaat en zijn collega psychopaat Pompeo, kan je gerust
stellen dat Trump een oorlogskabinet heeft gevormd, zo betoogt Robert
Mackey terecht. Op 23 maart jl. publiceerde hij een
artikel op The Intercept, over de benoeming van Bolton.
Hierin vertelt Mackey o.a. dat Bolton aan
gevluchte Iraniërs in de VS heeft beloofd dat voor 2019 Iran een
andere regime zal hebben (een door de VS gewenst regime, zoals je begrijpt….) en hij dan feest komt vieren in
Teheran……..
Naast psychopaat is deze misdadiger ook nog eens
ongelofelijk dom immers in Irak is er nog steeds geen vrede, ondanks
de meer dan achterlijke vaststelling van zijne domme hufterigheid en oorlogsmisdadiger Bush
dat de ‘mission accomplished’ was, is het in feite nog steeds oorlog
in Irak, een oorlog die intussen aan dik meer dan 1,5 miljoen mensen het leven heeft gekost……….
Hoe denkt topidioot Bolton dan Iran in
een jaar tijd te kunnen verslaan? Iran heeft een uitermate goed
getraind leger, dit i.t.t. tot het leger dat Saddam Hoessein in Irak
ter beschikking stond….. Kernraketten gebruiken tegen Iran staat zo te horen niet op de
verlanglijst van Bolton, daar hij zelf feest wil vieren in Teheran, al zal het me niet verbazen als Bolton denkt dat een zwaar radioactief besmet gebied binnen een paar maanden ‘schoon waait’. Voorts zijn er nog de nieuwe tactische kernwapens van de VS, kernwapens die op het slagveld gebruikt moeten gaan
worden en daar alleen ‘een beperkt gebied’ zwaar radioactief besmet zouden maken……..
Dan is er nog de vraag wat Rusland en
China zullen doen, als de VS een oorlog tegen Iran begint (met
de kans dat de VS ook een tweede front opent op Noord-Korea), gezien de

AMONG
THOSE MOST alarmed
by President Donald Trump’s selection of John
Bolton as
his new national security adviser on Thursday were supporters of the
Iran nuclear deal, the 2015 international agreement that curbed
Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for a partial lifting of
economic sanctions.
Rob
Malley, who coordinated Middle East policy in the Obama
administration, observed that Bolton’s appointment, along with the
nomination of Iran deal critic Mike Pompeo as secretary of state,
seemed to signal that the agreement would most likely be “dead
and buried”
within months. Trita Parsi, leader of the National Iranian American
Council wrote
on Twitter:
“People, let this be very clear: The appointment of Bolton is
essentially a declaration of war with Iran. With Pompeo and Bolton,
Trump is assembling a WAR CABINET.”
Their
alarm was understandable. Bolton, who made his name as a belligerent
member of George W. Bush’s State Department and a Fox News
contributor, has not only demanded that
the Trump administration withdraw from the nuclear deal, he also
previously advocated bombing
Iran instead.
Bolton has spent the better part of a decade calling
for the
United States to help overthrow the
theocratic government in Tehran and hand power to a cult-like group
of Iranian exiles with no real support inside the country.
Just
eight months ago, at a Paris gathering, Bolton told members of the
Iranian exile group, known as the Mujahedeen Khalq, MEK, or People’s
Mujahedeen, that the Trump administration should embrace their goal
of immediate regime change in Iran and recognize their group as a
“viable” alternative.
“The
outcome of the president’s policy review should be to determine
that the Ayatollah Khomeini’s 1979 revolution will not last until
its 40th birthday,” Bolton
said.
(The 40th anniversary of the Iranian revolution will be on February
11, 2019.) “The declared policy of the United States should be the
overthrow of the mullahs’ regime in Tehran,” Bolton added. “The
behavior and the objectives of the regime are not going to change
and, therefore, the only solution is to change the regime itself.”
As
the Iranian expatriate journalist Bahman Kalbasi noted, Bolton
concluded his address to the exiles with a rousing promise: “And
that’s why, before 2019, we here will celebrate in Tehran!”

To
understand how extraordinary it is that the man about to become the
president’s most senior national security official made this
promise to the MEK, it is important to know that, until recently, the
Iranian dissidents had spent three decades trying to achieve their
aims through violence, including terrorist attacks.
After
members of the MEK helped foment the 1979 revolution, in part
by killing
American civilians working
in Tehran, the group then lost a bitter struggle for power to the
Islamists led by the revolution’s leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah
Khomeini. With its leadership forced to flee Iran in 1981, the MEK’s
members set up a government-in-exile in France and established a
military base in Iraq, where they were given arms and training by
Saddam Hussein, as part of a strategy to destabilize the government
in Tehran that he was at war with.
In
recent years, as The
Intercept has reported,
the MEK has poured millions of dollars into reinventing itself as a
moderate political group ready to take power in Iran if
Western-backed regime change ever takes place. To that end,
it lobbied
successfully to
be removed from the State Department’s list
of foreign terrorist organizations in
2012. The Iranian exiles achieved this over the apparent opposition
of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in part by paying a
long list of former U.S. officials hefty
speaking fees of between $10,000 to $50,000 for hymns of praise like
the one Bolton delivered last July.
If
the current government is not Iranians’ first choice for a
government, the MEK is not even their last — and for good reason.
The MEK supported Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War. The
people’s discontent with the Iranian government at that time did
not translate into their supporting an external enemy that was firing
Scuds into Tehran, using chemical weapons and killing hundreds of
thousands of Iranians, including many civilians. Today, the MEK is
viewed negatively by most Iranians, who would prefer to maintain the
status quo than rush to the arms of what they consider a corrupt,
criminal cult.
Despite
such doubts that the MEK’s political wing, the National Council of
Resistance of Iran, is any more reliable than Ahmad Chalabi’s Iraqi
National Congress proved to be, spending lavishly on paid
endorsements has earned the group a bipartisan roster of Washington
politicians willing to sign up as supporters. At a
previous gala,
in 2016, Bolton was joined in singing the group’s praises by
another former U.N. ambassador, Bill
Richardson; a
former attorney general, Michael
Mukasey; the
former State Department spokesperson P.J.
Crowley; the
former Homeland Security adviser Frances
Townsend; the
former Rep. Patrick
Kennedy,
D-R.I.; and the former Vermont Gov. Howard
Dean.
That Paris gala was hosted by Linda
Chavez,
a former Reagan administration official.
At
a similar event this January, the backdrop behind former Speaker of
the House Newt Gingrich, as he praised MEK leader Maryam Rajavi, made
the aim of the group’s investment in American politicians clear.

Unsurprisingly,
leading figures from among the exile group’s Washington
followers have expressed delight over Bolton’s impending elevation
to the White House
At
the group’s celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, in Albania
on Tuesday, Rajavi was joined
on stageby
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City.
Mr. Giuliani reiterated that unlike other countries in the region, there is an alternative to the ruling regime in Iran. Thus, its overthrow will lead to peace and tranquillity in a region that has been severely threatened by the clerical regime.#Iran#IranProtests
Although
the official announcement from the White House was not made until
Thursday, Giuliani told the group, to loud applause, that Bolton “is
going to be President Trump’s national security adviser.”
In
case there was any doubt among the exiles that Bolton might not
advise Trump to overthrow Iran’s government, Giuliani assured them
that “if anything, John Bolton has become more determined that
there needs to be regime change in Iran, that the nuclear agreement
needs to be burned, and that you need to be in charge of that
country.”
Moments
later, Giuliani led the crowd in chanting “regime change.”
Despite
the fact that Trump ran for office as a critic of the decision to
invade Iraq, Bolton still refuses to call the preemptive attack a
mistake.
That
position stunned even Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, during an
interview two weeks ago. After Carlson pointed
out that
Bolton had called for regime change in Iraq, Libya, Iran, and Syria,
and the first of those had been “a disaster,” Bolton disagreed,
saying, “I think your analysis is simple-minded, frankly.”
“I
think the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, that military action, was a
resounding success,” Bolton told Carlson. The chaos that followed
in Iraq, he said, was caused by a poorly executed occupation that
ended too soon. On the bright side, Bolton said, the mistakes the
U.S. made in Iraq offered “lessons about what to do after a regime
is overthrown” in the future.

week ago we asked if
‘Novichok’ poisons are real. The answer is now in: It is ‘yes’ and
‘no’. Several Russian scientist now say that they once researched and
developed lethal poisons but they assert that other countries can and
have copied these. ‘Novichok’, they say, is a just western
propaganda invention. They see the British accusations as a cynical
plot against Russia. The people who push the ‘Novichok’ accusations
have political and commercial interests.
The
British Prime Minister Theresa May insinuated that
the British-Russian double agent Sergej Skripal and his daughter
Yulia, who collapsed
on March 4 on
a public bench in Salisbury, were affected by a ‘Russian’ nerve
agent:
It
is now clear that Mr Skripal and his daughter were poisoned with a
military-grade nerve agent of
a type developed by Russia.
It is part of a group of nerve agents known
as Novichok.
Theresa
May’s claims are highly questionable.
Maria Zakharova, spokeswomen of the Russian Foreign Ministry: “‘Novichok’ has never been used in the USSR or in Russia as something related to the chemical weapon research” – bigger
A
highly potent nerve agent would hurt anyone who comes in contact with
it. But the BBC reported that a doctor who administered first aid to
the collapsed Yulia Skripal for 30 minutes was not
affected at all.
Another doctor, Steven Davies who heads the emergence room of the
Salisbury District Hospital, wrote in
a letter the London Times:
“… no
patients have experienced symptoms of nerve agent poisoning in
Salisbury and
there have only been ever been three patients with significant
poisoning.”
The
name ‘Novichok’ comes from a
book written
by Vil Mirzayanov, a 1990s immigrant to the U.S. from the former
Soviet Union. It describe his work at Soviet chemical weapon
laboratories and lists the chemical formulas of a new group of lethal
substances.
AFP interviewed the
author of the ‘Novichok’ book about the Salisbury incident:
Mirzayanov,
speaking at his home in Princeton, New Jersey, said he is convinced
Russia carried it out as a way of intimidating opponents of President
Vladimir Putin.
…The
only other possibility, he said, would be that someone used the
formulas in his book to make such a weapon.
“Russia
did it”, says Mirzanyanov, “OR SOMEONE WHO READ MY BOOK”

‘Novichok’ nerve agent plays a role in the current seasons of the
British-American spy drama Strike
Back which
broadcasts on British TV. Theresa May might have watched this

from the series. Is it a source of her allegations?
The
Russian government rejects the British allegations and demands
evidence which Britain has not provided. Russia joined the Chemical
Weapon Convention in 1997. By 2017 it had destroyed all
its chemical weapons and chemical weapon production facilities. Under
the convention only very limited amounts of chemical weapon
agents are
allowed to
be held in certified laboratories for defense research and testing
purposes. The U.S. has such laboratories at Fort Detrick
in Frederick, Maryland, the British lab is in Porton Down, a few
miles from Salisbury. The Russian lab is in Shikhany in
the southern Saratov Oblast. The Organisation for the Prohibition of
Chemical Weapons (OPCW) audits these laboratories and their declared
stocks “down to the milligram level”.

Maria Zakharova explains ina
TV interview (vid,
English subtitles) that ‘Novichok’ was not and is not the name of any
Soviet or Russian program. The word was introduced in the “west”
simply because it sounded Russian.
Western
media claimed that Vil Miranzayanov is the developer of the
‘Novichok’ chemicals. It turns out that this is not the case.
Interviews with two retired Russian chemists, both published only
yesterday, tell the real story. The Russia news agency RIA

Press summarizes other
parts of the interview with Professor Rink:
Rink
told Russia’s state RIA Novosti news agency Tuesday that Britain
and other western nations easily could have synthesized the nerve
agent after chemical expert Vil Mirzayanov emigrated to the United
States and revealed the formula.
Echoing
Russian government statements, Rink says it wouldn’t make sense for
Moscow to poison Sergei Skripal, a military intelligence officer who
spied for Britain, because he was a used asset “drained” by both
Russia and Britain.
He
claims Britain’s use of the name Novichok for the nerve agent is
intended to convince the public that Russia is to blame.
The
English-Russian magazine The Bell interviews another
Russian scientists involved in the issue:
The
Bell was able to find and speak with Vladimir Uglev, one of the
scientists who was involved in developing the nerve agent referred to
as “Novichok”. […] Vladimir Uglev, formerly a scientist with
Volsk branch of GOSNIIOKHT (“State Scientific-Research Institute
for Organic Chemistry and Technology”), which developed and tested
production of new lethal substances since 1972, spoke for the first
time about his work as early as the 1990s. He left the institute in
1994 and is now retired.
– The
Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs insists that there was no
research nor development of any substance called “Novichok”, not
in Russia, nor in the USSR. Is that true?
– In
order to make it easier to understand the subject matter, I will not
use the name “Novichok” which has is now commonly used by
everyone to describe those four substances which were conditionally
assigned to me to develop over a period of several years. Three of
these substances are part of the “Foliant” program, which was led
by Pyotr Kirpichev, a scientist with GOSNIIOKHT (State
Scientific-Research Institute for Organic Chemistry and Technology).
The first substance of a new class of organophosphorous chemical
agents, I will call it “A-1972”, was developed by Kirpichev in
1972. In 1976, I developed two substances: “B-1976” and “C-1976”.
The fourth substance, “D-1980”, was developed by Kirpichev in the
early 1980s. All of these substances fall under the group referred to
as “Novichkov”, but that name wasn’t given to the substances by
GOSNIIOKHT.
All
four chemical agents are “FOS” or organophosphorous compounds
which have a nerve paralyzing effect, but they differ in their
precursors, how they were discovered and in their usage as agents of
chemical warfare.
The
four substances were developed by Pyotr Kirpichev and Vladimir Uglev.
These substances were not readily usable by the military as they
could not be safely transported and used in the field like binary
chemical weapons can.
Once synthesized they were extremely dangerous. Professor Leonid
Rink, working later in a different group, tackled the problem but did
not succeed. Uglev confirms that Vil Miranzayanov was not involved in
the development at all. His group was responsible chemical analysis
and for environmental control around the laboratory.
Vladimir
Uglev, like Renk and Miranzayanov, notes that these agents “of a
type developed by Russia” can now be produced by any
sufficiently equipped laboratory, including private ones.
Uglev
mentions a criminal use of one of the agents in the 1990s:
One
of these substances was used to poison the banker, Ivan Kivelidi and
his secretary in 1995. A cotton ball, soaked in this agent, was
rubbed over the microphone in the handset of Kivelidi’s telephone.
That specific dose was developed by my group, where we produced all
of the chemical agents, and each dose which we developed was given
its own complete physical-chemical passport. It was therefore not
difficult to determine who had prepared that dose and when it was
developed. Naturally, the investigators also suspected me. I was
questioned several times about this incident.
Journalist
Mark Ames, who worked in Moscow at that time, remarks:
This
muddles the narrative a bit —”novichok” used in 1995

Uglev
further notes that blood samples from the Salisbury victims, which
Moscow demands but Britain has not handed over, can show what agent
(if any) were involved and “where the specific dose was produced
and by whom.”
A
new article in the New Scientists confirms the
claims by the Russian scientists that the ‘Novichok’ agents which may
have affected the Skripals may have been produced elsewhere:
Weapons
experts have told New Scientist that a number of countries legally
created small amounts of Novichok after it was revealed in 1992 and a
production method was later published.
In
2016 Iranian scientists, in cooperation with the
OPCW, published production
and detection methods for such agents. It is likely that the various
government labs secretly re-developed and produced these chemicals
for their own purposes even prior to the Iranian publication.

In an interview with Deutsche Welle British Foreign
Minister Boris Johnson admits that
Proton Down had (illegal?) ‘Novichok’ agents when the incident
in Salisbury happened:

You argue that the source of this nerve agent, Novichok, is Russia.
How did you manage to find it out so quickly? Does
Britain possess samples of it?
Boris
Johnson: Let me be clear with you … When I look at the evidence, I
mean the people from Porton Down, the laboratory …
DW: So
they have the samples …
Boris
Johnson: They
do. And
they were absolutely categorical and I asked the guy myself, I said,
“Are you sure?” And he said there’s no doubt.
But
Porton Down did not agree with the British government to claim that
the supposed nerve agent was “made by Russia.” It only
agreed to the compromise formulation “of
a type developed by Russia” i.e. it could have been made
anywhere. [End Update]
The
claims by the British government that a. the Skripals were affected
by a nerve agent and that b. Russia was involved in the Skripal
incident because it has some exclusive access to these agents seem
both baseless. Unless there is significant further evidence the
British incrimination of Russia looks like a cynical plot invented
for political and/or commercial purposes.
As
usual in the military-industrial complex the people who push such
scares, are the ones who profit from them.
The
British Morning Star points to
one former British military intelligence officer, Colonel (rtd)
Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, as a common protagonist in the Skripal
case, in the claims of Syrian chemical weapon use and in commercial
interests around chemical weapon defense:

daily by multiple media outlets on the Skripal case, de
Bretton-Gordon has become a very public expert, relied upon for
unbiased comment and analysis by the British and foreign media on
chemical weapon threats from Salisbury to Syria.
He
is a former assistant director of Intelligence Surveillance and
Reconnaissance Land Forces with the Ministry of Defence. Before that
de Bretton-Gordon was commanding officer of Britain’s Chemical,
Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Regiment and Nato’s
Rapid Reaction CBRN Battalion.
While
his CBRN background is often mentioned, his military intelligence
links are rarely referred to publicly.
Long
before the Salisbury event, de Bretton-Gordon was urging greater
government expenditure on chemical protection counter-measures and
equipment.

further £63.3m from other “protection and defence” revenue.
The
former(?) army intelligence officer is also deeply involved in the
“moderate rebels” chemical weapon scams in Syria:

April 29 2014, the [Daily Telegraph] reported that it “obtained
soil samples collected from sites of chemical attacks inside Syria by
Dr Ahmad — a medic whose real identity cannot be revealed for his
own protection — who had previously received training in sample
collection by western chemical weapons experts.
“Mr
de Bretton-Gordon, a British chemical weapons expert and director of
Secure Bio, a private company, was one of the trainers.”
And
who carried out the tests? None other than de Bretton-Gordon himself.
The
“White Helmets” propaganda group in Syria was founded and
is run by the former(?) British army intelligence officer James Le
Mesurier with British and U.S. government money. His former(?)
colleague de Bretton-Gordon is running the parallel Syria chemical
weapon scam. Both profit from their government financed operations.
Other
British agents involved in the Skripal case are Pablo
Miller who recruited Skripal
for the MI6. He was a friend of Skripal, also lived in Salisbury and
worked for Christopher Steele, the former(?) MI6 agent who produced
the ‘dirty dossier’ about Donald Trump for the Clinton campaign. Both
are involved with
Russian mafia emigres in Britain like Boris Berezovski and the
deceased Alexander Litvinenko who’s father says that
he was killed by an MI6 or CIA guy.
While
the British government blamed the Russians just a week after the
incident in Salisbury happened it now seems interested in delaying
any further investigations. It took more than two weeks after the
incident for the British government to invite the OPCW to help with
the case. The head of the OPCW says it
will take another three weeks for
the organization to analyze the samples the British laboratory now
handed over. The British police requires several
months to
find out what happened to the Skripals.
How
could the British government be sure of “Russian”
involvement within a week and even expel Russian diplomats when the
primary chemical experts on the issue will need three weeks for their
first analyses and the British police predicts a several months long
investigation?
The
Russian scientist and their government have explained their history
and position in relation to ‘Novichoks’ and the Skripal incident. It
is high time now for the British government, its scientists at Porton
Down and its greedy mafia of former(?) British intelligence officer
and their criminal Russian emigres to come clean about their own
roles in it.

Finally Admits to Bombing Syrian Nuclear Reactor, Warns Iran Could Be
Next
(CD) — Israel
on Wednesday admitted it
bombed a suspected Syrian nuclear facility 11 years ago, and Israeli
officials used the confirmation to boast about their country’s
military might and again threaten Iran.
“The
message from the 2007 attack on the reactor is that Israel will not
tolerate construction that can pose an existential threat,”
military chief Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot said in
a statement. “This was the message in 1981 [when Israel bombed a
nuclear plant in Baghdad,], this is the message in 2007, and this is
the future message to our enemies.”
The
overnight operation dubbed
“Outside the Box” took place from Sept. 5-6, 2007, when F16s and
F15s carried out the airstrikes against what the
U.S. and
Israel say was a reactor built with help from North Korea.
Israel—a
nuclear-armed power but not a signatory of the nuclear
Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)—argues that the facility in Syria’s
Deir ez-Zor region was “in its last stages of construction.”
Syria, which is a party to the treaty, has denied it
was building a reactor.
As
with its United Nations Security Council-condemned strike
on the Iraqi facility, Israel argued that purpose of the Syrian
facility was to produce a bomb.
According
to James
Jeffrey, George W. Bush’s deputy national security adviser, the
U.S. president backed the attack at the time.
“(He)
made it clear that we were very happy that events had eliminated this
threat and that if there were any threats to Israel that would emerge
from this situation, the United States would stand with Israel,
period,” Jeffrey said Wednesday.
Defense
Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Wednesday used the admission to
threaten the entire region.
“The
motivation of our enemies increased in recent years, but so did the
strength of the IDF. Air Force and intelligence capabilities
intensified and expanded [vastly] from the capabilities we had in
2007,” Liberman said. “Everyone in the Middle East would do well
to internalize this equation.”
Another
minister, Israel Katz, also tweeted out
a not-so-veiled threat: “The courageous decision of the Israeli
government almost 11 years ago to destroy the nuclear reactor in
Syria and the successful operation following it sends a clear
message: Israel will never allow nuclear weapons to countries like
Iran who threaten its existence.”
Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has continues to argue without
proof that Iran is on its way to producing nuclear bombs, said:
“The Government of Israel, the IDF, and the Mossad prevented Syria
from developing a nuclear capability. For this they are deserving of
all praise. Israel’s policy has been and remains consistent—to
prevent our enemies from arming themselves with nuclear weapons.”

Planning a Terrorist False Flag Chemical Attack in Syria: Russia Says
It Will Respond

Clearing House” –Events
in Syria increasingly resemble a direct confrontation between major
powers rather than a proxy war. Lavrov’s words, delivered a few
days ago, reveal the critical phase of international relations the
world is going through, with a potentially devastating conflict ready
to ignite in the Middle East region.
An
alarming warning by
Sergei Lavrov and Chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery
Gerasimov,
was announced via the RT broadcaster and several Russian
media. The content is explosive and deserving of the widest possible
dissemination. Gerasimov claimed that
Moscow had “reliable information that fighters are preparing to
stage the use by government troops of chemical weapons against the
civilian population.” He alleged that the US intends to accuse
Assad’s troops of using chemical weapons against civilians, and then
“carry out a bombing attack” on Damascus. Gerasimov warned
that Russia would “take retaliatory measures” if the US
targeted areas where its military are located in the Syrian capital.
“Russian military advisers, representatives of the Center for
Reconciliation and members of military police” are currently in
the Syrian capital, Gerasimov said, adding that in the event that the
lives of Russian military personnel are placed in danger, the Russian
Armed Forces will respond with certain measure to both “missiles”
and their “launchers”. A few hours earlier, Lavrov responded,
“criticizing the remarks by the US envoy to the UN, Nikki Haley,
about Washington’s readiness to “bomb Damascus and even the
presidential palace of Bashar Assad, regardless [of the] presence of
the Russian representatives there.” “It is an absolutely
irresponsible statement,” the Russian top diplomat added.
The
words of Gerasimov are even more dire,
since he explains how the United States and its allies are preparing
the ground to justify an attack on Syria. According to reports,
terrorists stationed in Al-Tanf (an illegal US military base in
Syria) received 20 tons of chlorine gas and detonators, disguised as
cigarette packs, in order to attack in an area under the control of
the terrorists that is densely inhabited by civilians.
What would
then happen is already obvious, with the White Helmets (AKA
Al-Qaeda) and
mainstream media ready to broadcast the images of the victims of
the attack, tugging at the heartstrings of Western viewers otherwise
unaware of the conspiracy being
played out. Efforts to frame Russia have already reached the highest
alert levels, with the false-flag poisoning of the Russian spy in the
United Kingdom. It seems that there is a significant effort by the
United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany to provoke a
military confrontation with Moscow. How else are we able to
interpret threats from
Macron to strike Damascus, together with his ominous advice to
foreign journalists not to go to Damascus in the coming days and, for
those already there, to leave the capital immediately? There has even
been chatter within diplomatic circles that suggest that UN personnel
are leaving Damascus. This could be psychological warfare, or it
could be a prelude to war. With the stakes so high, we cannot afford
to ignore any detail, even if it may be disinformation. The American
attack seems imminent, with mounting signs of movements of American
and Russian warships in the Mediterranean in attack
formation.
Russian
military representatives have reiterated that in the event of an
attack, they will respond by
hitting both the missiles launched as well as the ships from which
the missiles were launched. Things are getting pretty dicey, and the
risk of a direct confrontation between the United States and the
Russian Federation are rising with every passing hour.
The transfer of
numerous US aircraft from Incirlik, Turkey, to Al-Azrak, Jordan,
is another indication of preparations for an attack, since the forces
moved to Jordan are close to the Al-Tanf base. The
proposed strategy could
involve an assault on the city of Daraa, for the purposes of securing
the borders between Syria and Jordan and Syria and Israel.
The
warnings raised by Lavrov and Gerasimov appear unprecedented, given
that they detail a plan already set in course, evidently approved at
the highest levels and aimed at provoking and justifying an attack on
Syria; and attack that would encompass the Russian forces in Syria.
Tensions continue to grow, following Russia’s shooting
down of
a drone by two surface-to-air missiles launched from its Hmeimim Air
Base. Moscow has even deployed to
the Mediterranean the Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate Admiral
Essen and the Krivak II-class anti-submarine frigate Pytivyy.
Both are prepared for anti-ship and anti-submarine operations.
Sources claim that this deployment was planned some time ago and is
part of a routine deployment of the Russian navy. But during such a
delicate moment, it pays to focus on every detail. Without resorting
to excessive alarmism, if Lavrov said that “the movements of the
warships of the United States and its allies in the Mediterranean
seem compatible with the strategy of using this chemical attack to
justify an attack on the Syrian Arab army and government
installations”, then it is reasonable to speculate on whether the
Russian ships are moving in to the area to counter any provocations.
There
are two fundamental flaws in the reasoning of US policy-makers and
the US military establishment. They are convinced that an American
demonstration of strength (involving a large number of cruise missile
launched against Syria through a significant involvement of aircraft
carriers as well as bombers) would stun Russia into passivity.
Furthermore, US military generals are convinced that Syria and Russia
do not have the ability to defend themselves for an extended period
of time. They seem to be fooling themselves with their own
propaganda. As their Israeli colleagues have already learned, such an
assumption is mistaken. While the idea that a high level of firepower
would meet with some kind of success, the possibility of a response
from Syrian and Russian forces remains. And this possibility seems
not to have been given sufficient weight by the US and her allies.
How
would the American military and the Trump presidency react to a US
warship being sunk by anti-ship missiles? It would only serve to
demonstrate how vulnerable American naval forces are when confronted
with such advanced weapons. It would represent a tremendous shock for
the US military, possibly the biggest shock since the end of WWII.
What would Trump and the generals in charge do?
They would respond
with further bombardment of Russian forces, leaving themselves open
to a devastating Russian response. The conflict could escalate within
the space of a few minutes, leading to a situation where there could
be no possible winners.
The
normal reasoning I
employ when considering total annihilation is placed to one side when
US special forces deliver 20 tons of chlorine gas to Al Qaeda
terrorists in Syria order to execute a false flag for the purposes of
blaming Damascus and Moscow. If we connect this event to what is
currently happening in the United Kingdom, and the hysteria in the
United States surrounding alleged Russian hacking during the American
elections, we can understand just how much international relations
have deteriorated. This situation is reminiscent of Ukraine in 2015.
Ukrainian forces suffered repeated defeats at the hands of the
Donbass resistance, being contained in the thousands in different
“cauldrons.
Within NATO headquarters in Brussels during that time, there were
open discussion over sending a contingent to support Ukrainian
troops. The plan, however, was never realized, given the possibility
of direct confrontation in Ukraine between the Russian Federation and
NATO.
In
recent months, the possibility of a war on the Korean Peninsula has
also been evoked and perhaps simultaneously averted by the
unpredictable consequences for both Seoul and the American forces in
the region.
In
Syria, the approach of Washington and its diplomatic and military
emissaries seems more reckless and less tied to a chain of command
where the buck stops at the American president. It seems that the US
deep state in Syria has a greater and more hidden control over
American forces, sabotaging every agreement made between Moscow and
Washington. We saw this during the Obama presidency, where the US Air
Force bombed government
troops in Deir ez-Zor only a few hours after a ceasefire had been
reached between Lavrov and Secretary of State Kerry.
The
grave circumstance about which we write seem to be without precedent,
seeming as they do to lead towards a direct confrontation between
nuclear-armed powers. Alas, in such circumstances, we can only hope
for the best but prepare for the worst; we can only wait to read on
the mainstream media notifications of the latest chemical attack in
Syria. We can only hope that there is someone in Washington retaining
enough sense to factor in the devastating consequences of an attack
on Damascus and the Russian forces in the region.
Never
before has the region been on the verge of such an explosion as in
the next few hours — as a result of the typically reckless actions
of the United States.

zijn nog geen officiële NAVO oefeningen gehouden, al zijn de spanningen er daar niet minder om…. (hoewel Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland en de Filipijnen natuurlijk ook een soort NAVO bondgenoot zijn*) Neem de alweer grote militaire oefening van Zuid-Korea en de
VS langs de grenzen en territoriale wateren van Noord-Korea……
Tijdens de Spelen kon de wereld even ademhalen en toenadering tussen
de 2 Korea’s was even een feit…..
De
Spelen zijn nog niet afgelopen of de VS kondigt aan dat de grote
jaarlijkse militaire oefening ‘gewoon’ doorgaat…..
Blijkbaar heeft de VS Moon Jae-in, de Zuid-Koreaanse president en de Zuid-Koreaanse regering dusdanig onder druk gezet dat men toestemde in het laten doorgaan van
die oefeningen, militaire oefeningen die de Noord-Koreanen al
decennia lang steken, maar waar vooral de VS niet van af wil zien…….. Tja,
zeg nu zelf, ‘wat is belangrijker’, een voor de winsten en macht van het militair-industrieel
complex en de macht van de VS te houden grootschalige militaire
oefening, of vrede?? Vrede is (blijkbaar) voor dombo’s……
Niet
alleen de agressie tegen landen als Syrië, Rusland, Iran, China en
Noord-Korea wijzen in de richting van WOIII, maar met de wisselingen
aan de top van de Trump administratie, kan het bijna niet anders of we stevenen af op een grootschalige oorlog……. De
ene psychopathische houwdegen van die administratie na de andere wordt op straat gezet, waarvoor in de plaats psychopaten worden ingezet die nog een fikse portie kwaadaardiger zijn……… De VS heeft zelfs gesteld dat een aanval met conventionele wapens (dus niet met kernwapens) op bevriende landen niet wordt uitgesloten, een aanval gericht op de bevolking en infrastructuur van die bevriende landen………
Darius
Shahtahmasebi noemt het niet in het volgende artikel, maar er ligt ook nog eens een enorme Himalaya aan VS schulden, het is dat de munt van de VS een internationaal betaalmiddel is en bijvoorbeeld de olieprijs in
dollars wordt uitgedrukt, anders zou het er wel eens heel anders uit
kunnen zien voor de VS en haar onafzienbare schuldenlast……
Vreemd
trouwens dat een land als China zulke enorme voorraden dollars heeft,
als dit land deze op de markt dumpt, kan de VS financieel
inpakken….. Dan blijft de vraag over wat goed is voor een land met enorme schulden? Juist,
oorlog!! Vandaar ook dat de geldpersen in de VS overuren maken…..
Het zou me trouwens niet verbazen als China de dollar niet eens durft
te dumpen als betaalmiddel (valuta om mee te investeren)……. Gezien
deze zaak zijn de agressieve woorden van Trump over een importheffing op Chinees
staal en aluminium nog vreemder…….. Blijkbaar wil hij
daarmee zeggen schijt te hebben aan China en haar enorme
dollarvoorraad………
Het
vorige voorbeeld is nog meer van belang, immers China en Rusland
hebben al een paar keer gesproken over een ander internationaal
betaalmiddel dan de dollar. Khadaffi wou de olie dollar inruilen voor
de gouden dinar, een munt waarvan de tegenwaarde altijd in goud
aanwezig zou zijn, één van de redenen voor de illegale oorlog van de
VS en haar oorlogshond NAVO tegen Libië…….. (de enorme goudvoorraad van Libië is tijdens de illegale oorlog van de VS en andere NAVO lidstaten tegen dit land ‘verdwenen….’)
Zo bezien is WOIII eigenlijk niet meer te ontwijken…….
A
World War Might Sound Crazy, but It Could Be America’s Last Act of
Desperation
(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — Though some have
been warning about
the catastrophic potential for a third global conflict for years, it
wasn’t until recently that
these warnings became more
mainstream.
The calamitous nature of the violence in Syria — which has one
nuclear power defending a government that has been the target of a
regime change operation led by the world’s superpower —
combined with 2017’s threats of “fire
and fury” against
another state intently pursuing a nuclear weapons supply of its own,
has pushed the issue
of a third world war directly
into the public
discourse.
While
certain hotspots throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe
(i.e. Ukraine)
have seen some notable escalations in the last few years, a direct
conflict between Russia and the United States is still yet to emerge.
That’s because the idea of a third world war in today’s world is
completely insane. If the two countries that currently possess the
world’s greatest supplies of nuclear weapons go to war, there
may not be a world left for
the victors to inhabit after the war is done, thereby making it an
unthinkable proposal.
Then
again, the U.S. did just recently bomb a significant
number of
Russian-linked forces in Syria, reportedly killing scores of them.
The targets of these air strikes were also predominantly
Iranian-backed militias (just
in case there weren’t enough state actors already involved in this
ongoing conflict).
Speaking
of Iran, Donald Trump recently fired Rex Tillerson as secretary of
state and immediately appointed CIA director Mike Pompeo to replace
him. Pompeo is a notable
anti-Iran hawk who
will almost certainly go further than Tillerson was ever
prepared to
go with regard to the Iranian nuclear accord, a deal Pompeo believes
is “disastrous.”
There
are also reports now emerging that Donald Trump is planning to
oust his national security advisor, General H.R. McMaster. McMaster
originally replaced anti-Iran war hawk Michael
Flynn,
but apparently, McMaster’s non-stop
allegations against
Iran were not
enough to please Trump.
McMaster was not on board with Trump’s attempt to completely derail
the Iranian nuclear deal.
One
should bear in mind that when Donald Trump made the decision to
strike the Syrian government in April of last year in what amounted
to one of the year’s most important and over-publicized
geopolitical events, it was McMaster who
drew up the strike plan options and presented them to Trump to choose
from. If this is a man not hawkish enough for Trump’s
administration, his looming removal from the administration is a
worrying sign of what’s to come.
Donald
Trump’s Nuclear
Posture Review entails
that, as Katrina vanden Heuvel noted in
an article published in the Washington
Post:
“The
United States reserves the right to unleash
nuclear weapons first in ‘extreme circumstances’ to defend the
‘vital interests’ not only of the United States but also of its
‘allies and partners’ — a total of some 30 countries. ‘Extreme
circumstances,’ the review states explicitly, include ‘significant
non-nuclear attacks,’ including conventional attacks on ‘allied
or partner civilian population or infrastructure.’ The
United States also maintains a ‘portion of
its nuclear forces’ on daily alert, with the option of launching
those forces ‘promptly.’ [emphasis
added]
Considering
that a former analyst for the Council on Foreign Relations, Micah
Zenko, just warned that
Pentagon officials are actively searching for a “big war” against
Russia and China, the trajectory we are currently on starts to make a
lot more sense.
In
other parts of the world, we are witnessing a new era of hostilities
towards Russia. The debacle taking place in the U.K. right now, which
has seen allegations of a Russian chemical attack on British soil,
has prompted the U.K., U.S., France, and Germany to band
together and
condemn Russia for something that hasn’t even been conclusively
investigated yet.
After
years of constantly being painted as the enemy, Russia
just declared via
Twitter that a “Cold War II” has begun, and who can blame them?
A
third world war might sound crazy, but it is only crazy if we fail to
understand the desperation that continues to plague the men in suits
who pull the strings guiding American foreign policy. Consider that
the Syrian government, with Russian and Iranian backing, has
managed to
stabilize significant parts of the country despite
all odds so that refugees can return home safely. It should be clear
that the best way to solve the Syrian crisis is to discontinue
America’s regime change policy in Syria and allow the people of
Syria to normalize their own lives without Washington’s
interference. Yet, after seven years of brutal violence, the U.S.
still refuses to admit defeat in Syria. If anything, the U.S. has now
officially set its sights on
directly combatting Iranian influence in
the country, raising the potential for significant escalations.
Maybe,
just maybe, the U.S. is that desperate. Apparently, the U.S. has to
remain in Syria out of necessity. It cannot afford to sit on the
sidelines as Russia re-emerges as the major power broker in the
region, eating up all the major contracts coming
out of Syria (together
with Iran) as it looks to poach American allies left, right, and
center.
Additionally,
Russia recently warned the U.S. that it will not tolerate
Washington’s aggressive attacks on the Syrian government and will
respond with strikes of their own should
the U.S. military threaten Russian personnel. One should expect that
eventually, there will be a point where Russia will no longer allow
these attacks to go unanswered.
As
America’s power and influence wane, the time will come for both
Russia and China to make their mark on the global stage. Just on a
side note, it should come as no surprise that Trump’s nominated
ambassador to Australia, Adm. Harry Harris, is a known anti-China war
hawk who recently warned
Congress to prepare for a war with China.
Why
should we need to prepare for a war with China? Who talks and thinks
like that? A nation on a slow and inevitable decline that cannot
refuse to admit defeat in almost any battle theater since World War
II, that’s who.
Realistically,
nobody wants a third world war, but as the U.S. increasingly
thrashes to maintain its control of the global financial markets, its
network of over 1,000 bases worldwide, and its status as the world’s
global policemen, a third world war may be Washington’s only hope
at staying afloat as the world’s top power.
* Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland, de Filipijnen, Thailand en Zuid-Korea zijn zogenaamde MNNA’s (van: ‘Major non-NATO Ally). Deze landen werken op militair gebied nauw samen met de VS (en gegarandeerd met andere NAVO lidstaten), ook wat betreft bewapening en training. (zie wat dat betreft ook de bemoeienis van de VS met de strijd tegen IS op de Filipijnen en de militaire oefeningen met Zuid-Korea langs de grens en de territoriale wateren van Noord-Korea).
