Protesters
were being targeted in their lower body, Al-Baz said, with 55 shot
with live ammunition in their genitals, likely in an effort to cause
infertility.
Some
32 Palestinians have been killed
since 30 March when
the Right of Return March was launch. A further 2,850 were injured.

Afgelopen woensdag besloot een meerderheid van het congres de steun aan de genocide die

‘Blood
of Thousands on Their Hands’: Congress Votes to Continue US-Backed
Yemen War
(CD) — While
44 U.S. Senators on Tuesday were applauded by peace groups for voting
in favor of a resolution that would have allowed Congress to begin
reclaiming its war-making authority and ended the U.S. military’s
backing of Saudi Arabia’s assault on Yemen, it was ultimately not
enough to overcome entrenched opposition from the 45 Republicans and
10 Democrats who voted against it.
Introduced
by Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Mike Lee
(R-Utah), the resolution (SJ
Res. 54)
would have ended the tacit military support—including targeting
assistance, refueling, and intelligence sharing—of the Saudi’s
campaign to wage war on Yemen, a nation currently embroiled in a
civil war and experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises on
the planet.
The
final tally was 55-44 against the resolution, with only Sen. John
McCain (R-Ariz.) not casting a vote.
While
five Republicans voted for the measure, the 10 Democrats senators who
joined with the Republican majority to block it were: Coons (D-DE);
Cortez Masto (D-NV); Donnelly (D-IN); Heitkamp (D-ND); Jones (D-AL);
Manchin (D-WV); Menendez (D-NJ); Nelson (D-FL); Reed (D-RI); and
Whitehouse (D-RI).
Iona
Craig, the foreign correspondent who this year won a prestigious
George Polk Award for her coverage in Yemen, said that those who
voted against the effort will now have the “blood of thousands”
of Yemenis on their hands as the war continues and the crises
worsens.
The US Senate held the fate of millions of Yemenis in its hands. By voting to table #SJRes54 they’ve not just killed a resolution. Those 55 senators will have the blood of thousands, who will die as a result of US support for the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen, on their hands.
Anti-war
groups, while disappointed with the outcome, celebrated the vote and
heralded it as an important step in terms of getting congressional
lawmakers to final assert themselves against an executive branch that
has been allowed to wage war with nearly no restraint over the last
17 years.
“Because
of the leadership put forth by Sens. Bernie Sanders, Mike Lee, and
Chris Murphy — and the tireless advocacy of hundreds of thousands
of Americans — the U.S. Senate was today finally forced to confront
America’s unauthorized role in Yemen’s deadly civil war,” Kate
Kizer, policy director for Win Without War, in a statement.
“We
commend the 44 Senators who agreed that U.S. military support for the
Saudi-led coalition is unconstitutional, counterproductive, and
doesn’t serve U.S. national security interests,” she added.
“Today’s vote should serve as a sober reminder to Saudi Arabia
that it must immediately move to resolve this conflict
diplomatically, and that American support for its war in Yemen is not
unlimited.”
Kate
Gould, legislative director on Middle East policy for the Friends
Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), said that
despite the resolution’s failure, the “groundswell of grassroots
activism to end this war is not going to let up until this illegal
war ends, and U.S. pilots stop fueling U.S.-made bombers to rein down
U.S.-made bombs on schools, hospitals and neighborhoods. The U.S.
must stop literally fueling the deliberate killing and starvation of
countless civilians in Yemen, and support a peaceful solution to end
this crisis.”
Het volgende artikel vond ik op theCanary. Hierin aandacht voor de artiesten die het grootste evenement voor 2018 in Groot-Brittannië boycotten, daar een grote wapenfabrikant, BAE Systems deels geld steekt in dit evenement genaamd: The Great Exhibition of the North.
Met de wapens van BAE, de derde grootste wapenproducent ter wereld, werden en worden bijvoorbeeld grote aantallen mensen in Jemen vermoord……. Het zijn letterlijk de wapens in de hand van Saoedi-Arabië waarmee het een genocide uitvoert op de sjiieten in Jemen…..
Wapenfabrikant BAE Systems sponsort meer en meer evenementen en zelfs een school, dit in een poging wapenfabricage en export van wapens als de normaalste zaak van de wereld te laten zien……
Gelukkig verzetten velen zich tegen de wapenindustrie en deze foute sponsoring. Artiesten nemen zelfs het voortouw! Lees hoe men zich ook hier kan verzetten tegen verkeerde sponsoring (mede gericht aan het grootste deel van de Nederlandse artiesten, die lak hebben aan wat er gebeurd in de wereld):

Exhibition of the North 2018 is
a “free, summer-long celebration of the North of England’s
pioneering spirit”, with venues around Newcastle and Gateshead. But
it has run into trouble over accepting sponsorship from
BAE Systems, who claim it is a ‘premier partner’ for the event.

A
group of Northern artists has also set up a petition calling
on organisers to refuse sponsorship. Petition organisers told The
Canary:

masquerade as ‘family friendly’ while selling weapons to Saudi
Arabia, a regime bombing schools and hospitals in Yemen.
5,000
children killed or injured in Yemen
BAE
Systems has been widely criticised for selling weapons to Saudi
Arabia for use in their war against Yemen.
UNICEF reported in
December 2017 that more than 5,000 children have been killed or
injured in Yemen since the conflict began in March 2015. Cholera and
acute diarrhoea have affected over a
millionpeople
and over seven
million people
are at risk of famine.
There
is no
dispute that
Typhoon and Tornado aircraft sold by BAE Systems to Saudi Arabia have
been deployed on combat missions in the war on Yemen. Yet the
government continues to support these sales. Former defence secretary
Michael Fallon even said in
October 2017 that criticism of Saudi Arabia is “not helpful” when
the government is trying to encourage the regime to buy more weapons.
Normalising
weapons through PR
Sponsorship
of high-profile events is an important part of BAE Systems’ public
relations programme. Last year it sponsored the New
Scientist Live festival.
It sponsored a major bike
race,
a rowing
race,
and – perhaps somewhat ironically – a “walking
with the wounded” event.
The company even sponsors a secondary
school.
It’s all part of normalising the selling of weapons.
Trouble
ahead?
But
there may be trouble ahead for the Great Exhibition of the North if
they don’t say no to BAE Systems. Campaigners have already set up a
spoof Twitter account
complete with promotional videos showing attack aircraft blowing
various things up. Artists are pulling out. A petition is gathering
momentum. A PR coup for BAE Systems may turn out to be a PR disaster
for the Great Exhibition of the North.

Ditz bracht gisteren het bericht dat Israël minstens 7 terreurgroepen
steunt in Syrië. Wat mij betreft niet echt een verrassing, daar al
bekend was dat Israël gewonde strijders (terroristen), die tegen het Syrische Assad bewind vechten, oplapt op de door Israël illegaal bezette
Golanhoogten.
Voorts
was al bekend dat Israël terreurgroepen helpt, die opereren aan de Syrische
kant van de Golanhoogten, als het reguliere Syrische leger hen
te na komt….. Zo is er een afspraak dat deze terreurgroepen een
mortiergranaat afschieten als ze die hulp nodig hebben, waarna Israël hen steunt door het onder vuur nemen van het Syrische leger…..
Uiteraard
is het schandalig dat terreurstaat Israël terreurgroepen steunt die
zoveel dood en verderf hebben gezaaid in Syrië en geeft deze uiterst gewelddadige staat nogmaals

Is Directly Arming at Least 7 Syrian Rebel Groups
Officially,
Israel isn’t a big fan on Sunni Islamist organizations. Such groups
are the bulk of the rebellion on the Golan frontier, and that’s
made them groups Israel has a very serious interest in seeing survive
and thrive on the border.
Analysts
say Israel is directly arming at least seven groups in the area. To
be clear, no specific factions are named in any of these reports, but
past reports have put Israel on the side of some very
unfashionable groups, like al-Qaeda’s Nusra Front, which
have been active in the area for some time.
Israeli
officials have been very public in the past saying they prefer ISIS
over the Alawite government in Syria. Expressing such a preference
and arming terrorists are two different things, and Israel’s effort
to step up arming for Islamist groups risks regional blowback.

Hierin de melding van meerdere bombardementen door de Saoedische
coalitie op burgerdoelen in Jemen. Hierbij zijn in minder dan een week meer
dan 100 Jemenitische burgers vermoord, voor de beide kerstdagen waren
dat er al 71……
Afgelopen
zondag vielen er bij meerdere bombardementen door de Saoedische
coaltie 51 doden in door Houthi’s beheerste gebieden. Onder die 51
doden bevonden zich 11 kinderen…….. Afgelopen maandag werd de
hoofdstad Sanaa meermaals gebombardeerd, daarbij vielen 11
doden……. Voorts meldt Shahtahmasebi, die als bron Al Jazeera, Al
Masirah, Associated Press (AP) en Xinhua noemt, dat een markt werd beschoten waar het aantal
dodelijke slachtoffers rond de 30 moet liggen.
Sanaa,
de hoofdstad is vooral het doel van bombardementen, als reden
daarvoor noemt Shahtahmasebi het feit dat de stad onder controle is
van de Houthi’s. Dit zou een beetje vreemde opmerking zijn, daar de
Saoedische coalitie niet anders doet dan door Houthi’s beheerste
steden en gebieden bombarderen, echter vooral in Sanaa schijnen zich
veel kopstukken van de Houthi’s op te houden.
The New
York Times moet het uiteraard opnemen tegen de Houthi’s, dus
verspreidt dit medium verhalen over bruut geweld van Houthi’s tegen
oppositieleden…… Terwijl tegelijkertijd de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, Saoedi-Arabië assisteert bij een vreselijke voortdurende massamoord……
Shahtahmasebi
stelt terecht dat de Saoedische coalitie in feite verslagen is,
echter dat betekent geen eind aan het ongebreidelde geweld van het
reli-fascistische Saoedi-Arabië, integendeel zoals u kon lezen, de
bombardemten worden onverminderd voortgezet….
De VS
dat wapens, munitie (waaronder clusterbommen), pantservoertuigen, straaljagers en helikopters
levert aan de Saoedische dictatuur*, zit wel met de vele
burgerslachtoffers in de maag, vandaar dat men een excuus verzon: de
Saoedische piloten zouden geen ervaring hebben met het bombarderen
van doelen in Jemen (wat ze nu al meer dan 2 jaar doen…) en zouden
daarom te hoog vliegen, om niet neergehaald te worden, daardoor zijn
de bombardementen ‘niet nauwkeurig…….’ Het is dat ‘t gvd zo erg is,
anders zou je je werkelijk doodlachen….. Alsof VS bombardementen wel
nauwkeurig zijn; dat willen de reguliere (fake) massamedia je wel
laten geloven, maar ‘precisiebombardementen’ bestaan niet……..
Zoals
eerder op deze plek gemeld, de doelen van de Saoedische coalitie zijn
woonwijken, ziekenhuizen, scholen, elektriciteitscentrales,
drinkwaterbedrijven en hun zuiveringsinstallaties, bij deze bombardementen is ook het rioleringsnet vernield…… Vandaar ook
de uitbraak van cholera en difterie, die naast de honger door
Saoedische (met hulp van de VS op zee) blokkades van de door de
Houthisch beheerste gebieden……..
Gezien
deze zaken is de conclusie gerechtvaardigd dat de door in feite de VS geleidde oorlog
tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen een genocide is…… Dit alles omdat het Saoedische dictatoriale soennitische bewind de pest heeft aan sjiieten, die een iets andere uitleg geven aan de leer van de islam en dat in de 21ste eeuw……
Hoe is
het mogelijk dat de wereld dit alles laat gebeuren, terwijl men zo’n
grote bek heeft over Iran, Rusland, Syrië en Noord-Korea….. Las
vanmorgen dat het Internationaal Strafhof in Den Haag (ICC) het
beginnen van een oorlog vanaf juli 2018 als een door dit hof te
vervolgen misdaad zal zien……. Mijn excuus mensen: ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Hoe is ‘t mogelijk??!!! Een oorlog beginnen zonder mandaat van de
VN (dus een illegale oorlog) is altijd één van de grootste
oorlogsmisdaden waar we weet van hebben……** Benieuwd of dit hof het aandurft de
VS aan te klagen, de vraag stellen is haar beantwoorden…… Het is zonder meer een schande dat e.e.a. pas juli
volgend jaar ingaat, is dat gerechtigheid??!!! Met dit uitstel maakt
het ICC al duidelijk dat het niet van zins is de VS te vervolgen,
immers dit ‘land’ is deze eeuw al 4 illegale oorlogen begonnen, waar toch
echt een groot aantal mensen terecht voor zou moeten staan!, Neem de
illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak, daarin zijn intussen meer dan 1.5
miljoen mensen vermoord……..
Ook gerechtigheid anno 2017 is een slechte grap en ik vrees dat dit nog heel lang het geval zal zijn…….
Christmas
in Yemen: US-Backed Saudi Bombing Kills at Least 71 Civilians
(ANTIMEDIA)—At
least 71 civilians are believed to have been killed by the
U.S.-backed Saudi-led coalition in Yemen after 48 hours’ worth of
bombing over Christmas, Al-Jazeerareports.
Residents
told Al-Jazeera that a number of air strikes “rained
down” on Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, early on Christmas day,
killing at least 11 people, including three women and two children.
According
to Abdul Malek al-Fadhl, a pro-Houthi activist, two buildings were
flattened in a residential area to the west of the capital as
coalition raids targeted the home of a local Houthi leader. According
to the activist, air raids targeted the leader’s car as he tried to
flee, as well as first responders who came to reach victims.
Al-Jazeera also
notes that the Houthi-run Al Masirah TV network documented a further
eight civilian deaths, including two women, in the Hodeidah province.
Four other civilians were killed in Saudi-led raids on a government
building in the central province of Dhamar.
The
Houthi-run Saba news agency reported that at least 48 civilians,
including 11 children, were killed in 51 air strikes across the
country on Sunday.
While
these sources all appear to be pro-Houthi, it is interesting to note
that there has been no immediate comment from Saudi Arabia. Saudi
Arabia typically
denies any
wrongdoing even as it is continually documented massacring civilians.
Adding
further to this criminal wrongdoing, barely a day later, the Chinese
state-run outlet Xinhua reported that
a Saudi air raid killed over 40 shoppers in a crowded marketplace.
The Associated
Press also reported on
the incident, though it stated the death toll was closer to 25 and
that the strike wounded at least 30 others. Two days before
Christmas, the Associated
Press also reported on
another strike that killed at least 10 Yemeni civilians.
If
these figures are correct, it would put the Saudi-enforced death toll
in Yemen well over 100 in less than a week of bombing. It looks like
a war crime and sounds like a war crime — yet Saudi Arabia
continues to receive barely a slap on the wrist even as the death
toll mounts.
The
reason the coalition is targeting Sana’a and its surrounding areas
so heavily is that Yemen’s capital is under the control
of the Houthi leadership,
even after over two years of Saudi Arabia’s brutal
onslaught. According
to the New
York Times,
the Houthis have cracked down on the capital, shutting off access to
the internet, blocking social media sites, and sending gunmen to raid
homes of suspected opposition members, making hundreds of arrests in
the process.
Following
the death
of Ali Abdullah Saleh,
Yemen’s ex-president, who the Houthis killed after they learned of
his plan to unite with the Saudi-led forces, Saudi Arabia has almost
all but run out of options other than the use of brute force.
According to the New
York Times, “members
of Mr. Saleh’s party interviewed recently said that instead of
turning the party against the Houthis, Mr. Saleh’s deathhad
shattered it.”

Therefore,
the Houthis have effectively won the battle against Saudi Arabia even
in the face of a U.S. and U.K.-supplied superior military. That being
said, Saudi Arabia is not going down without a violent fight.
Unfortunately,
the people who will feel the effects of this brutality the most are
innocent civilians, not militants. A little over a week ago, a Saudi
raid killed at least 10 women after it bombed
a wedding procession east
of Yemen’s capital.
The
coalition has proven to be completely incompetent with regard to
protecting civilian life, a gross violation of the rules of war that
the United States and the United Kingdom continue to reward rather
than punish. As the New
York Times previously reported:
“The
first problem was the ability of Saudi pilots, who were inexperienced
in flying missions over Yemen and fearful of enemy ground fire. As a
result, they flew at high altitudes to avoid the threat below. But
flying high also reduced the accuracy of their bombing and increased
civilian casualties, American officials said.
“American
advisers suggested how the pilots could safely fly lower, among other
tactics. But the airstrikes still landed on markets, homes,
hospitals, factories and ports, and are responsible for the majority
of the 3,000 civilian deaths during the yearlong war, according to
the United Nations.”

Ontving afgelopen zondag een artikel van Jim Carey op Anti-Media. Hierin het nieuws dat de VS nu officieel wapens gaan leveren aan de Porosjenko junta in Oekraine…….
Volgens Carey leverde de VS tot nu toe alleen niet dodelijke ‘wapens’ aan Kiev, zoals voertuigen en zaken als hard- en software. Hier moet ik Carey echter tegenspreken, de VS leverde via via al veel eerder wel degelijk dodelijke wapens aan Kiev, ook al ging dit niet middels de officiële weg, leveringen van wapens waarvoor de CIA de coördinatie heeft gedaan……. Het gaat hier voor het grootste deel om wapens die uit Oost-Europa komen en die de Porosjenko kliek voor een appel en ei kon verwerven…..
De beslissing van de VS nu ook openlijk wapens te verkopen, zet de boel in Oost-Europa nog verder op scherp…… Ook Canada, dat zich meer en meer ontwikkelt als een onderaannemer van de VS (zoals Groot-Brittannie), nam eerder al de beslissing Oekraïne verder vol te proppen met wapens…..
Uiteraard doet men e.e.a. zogenaamd tegen Russische agressie in Oost-Oekraïne, terwijl daar één grote agressor is: het Oekraïense leger en dan m.n. de neonazi bataljons, die keer op keer de gesloten wapenstilstanden schenden en burgerdoelen beschieten, een oorlogsmisdaad volgens het verdrag van Genève…………..
De reguliere westerse media, het overgrote deel van de westerse politici en ‘opiniemakers’ (zoals die van HCSS* en Clingendael) houden de westerse bevolkingen keer op keer voor, dat het Russische leger in Oost-Oekraïne vecht, iets waarvoor men niet een flinter bewijs kan leveren, maar dat maakt niet uit: als je de leugens blijft herhalen, gelooft het gros van de mensen deze anti-Russische propaganda…. Ik zeg het nog maar eens: als het Russische leger daadwerkelijk mee had gevochten in Oost-Oekraïne, was heel Oekraïne al lang bevrijd van de uiterst corrupte neonazi-kliek in Kiev!!
De VS heeft overigens wel militairen in Oekraïne, waar men zelfs oefent op landingen (voor actie tegen De Krim), iets waar de reguliere westerse (massa-) media liever niet over berichten……..
Kortom: weer laat het westen zien niet geïnteresseerd te zijn in vrede, de oorlogsgod moet geëerd worden, u weet wel de god die zich bedient van het militair-industrieel complex en die vooral wordt aanbeden door de VS en de rest van het westen………
In
a move likely to further erode US-Russian relations, the Trump regime
has approved weapons sales to Ukraine.
(GPA) — While
Trump apologists spent last week pretending the US President was
finally making good on his promise “to improve relations with
Russia” by helping
foil a terror attack,
behind the scenes a much more despicable decision developed. This
decision, announced earlier this week, gives the green-light for US
arms dealers to sell
certain “defensive” weapons to
Ukraine, as opposed to the previous non-lethal support received by
Kiev.
While
it may be true that the US has been backing the military junta in
Ukraine since the days of the Maidan ‘protests,’ under the Obama
regime this support was limited to non-lethal materials such as
vehicles and intel equipment. Obama clearly had no problem propping
up these reactionary forces, but the US still didn’t cross the line
of arming Kiev’s soldiers until now.
Now
before our pro-Trump readers go off blaming the “deep state” for
this latest move, it must be said that a top White House official has
allegedly told the Washington
Post that
Trump personally signed off on this. The desire to make this decision
is also a publicly known priority of some of Trump’s top security
advisers including Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Initially
the move to arm Ukraine was approved by the US Congress but was
heavily restricted by the Obama regime. Despite this bill passing
years ago, most senators weren’t personally invested in this
initial vote. However, a few zealots celebrate today. One such is the
neocon Bob Corker who told reporters he was “pleased the
administration approved the sale,” and that “This decision was
supported by Congress in legislation that became law three years ago
and reflects our country’s longstanding commitment to Ukraine in
the face of ongoing Russian aggression.”
The
US already has troops stationed in Ukraine and recently hosted NATO
drills which they invited Ukrainian soldiers to attend, but now with
the approval of arms sales, albeit only small arms such as Model
M107A1 Sniper Systems, the US has crossed a new line. Canada also
recently changed
their policy to
allow weapons sales to Ukraine signaling a possible larger shift of
NATO member policies.
This
move is, of course, occurring in an atmosphere of heightened tensions
between the west and Russia and is just the latest escalation in
Eastern Europe, where NATO troops have been massing for the last few
years. It has still never been independently verified that Russia
directly supports the rebels in east Ukraine against the forces of
Kiev (who continuously violate ceasefires), but with a partner as
unreliable as President Petro Poroshenko, the US arms sales will
likely be responsible for future murder and a possible PR victory for
Moscow.
Mensen, gistermiddag donderde ik van m’n stoel, toen ik een verslaggever van de BBC (weet helaas de naam niet) rond 15.43 u. (CET) hoorde vertellen dat beide strijdende partijen in Jemen verantwoordelijk zijn voor de honger in dat land, een hongersnood die intussen aan duizenden kinderen en mensen met een zwakke gezondheid het leven heeft gekost……..
Volgens deze vrouw zijn de Houthi’s mede verantwoordelijk voor de honger in Jemen, dit doordat o.a. de salarissen van ambtenaren als docenten al maandenlang niet worden betaald……… Alsof dit normaal gesproken wel gebeurt in een land dat in een dergelijke (ongelijke) oorlog is verwikkeld……….
Is het godverdomme niet om te janken, de trut had evengoed kunnen stellen, dat de opstand van de Houthi’s tot de hongersnood hebben geleid…….. De Houthi’s hadden zich maar moeten laten afslachten door IS en Al Qaida, die onderdak kregen aangeboden in het land, door de voormalige en door Saoedi-Arabië opnieuw in het zadel gezette president Al-Hadi…..* Alsof Saoedi-Arabië in het volste recht staat om het gebied dat in handen is van de Houthi’s, te blokkeren voor humanitaire hulp, dus water, voedsel, medicijnen en brandstof (voor de vorm laat men wat hulpgoederen door als er weer een VN delegatie het land bezoekt, of als VN medewerkers een konvooi hulpgoederen escorteren)………
De grote makke is het feit dat S-A soennitisch is en de Houthi’s sjiitisch. Dit feit schijnt genoeg reden te zijn om de Houthi’s uit te roeien……. Als er een veredelde vuurpijl van de Houthi’s in Saoedi-Arabië terechtkomt, staat zelfs de reguliere pers in het westen bol van dat bericht, ook al hebben die ‘raketten’ niet één Saoedische burger gedood, terwijl de berichten over de enorme bloedbaden die S-A aanricht in Jemen, zelden of niet in de reguliere westerse media terechtkomen…….
Honger gebruiken om een volk eronder te krijgen, de genocide tactiek van Saoedi-Arabië (gesteund door o.a. de VS), behoort tot de ergste vormen van terreur, een oorlogsmisdaad van enorme grootte……. Daarnaast worden zelfs medicatie tegen cholera en difterie geblokkeerd van doorvoer, terwijl deze ziekten het land teisteren en intussen ook al aan duizenden mensen het leven hebben gekost; je hoeft niet te vragen welke groepen vooral tot de slachtoffers behoren……..
Overigens zijn de 2 genoemde ziekten één op één te danken aan de uiterst agressieve oorlog die S-A voert tegen het volk van Jemen, zo heeft de Saoedische coalitie niet alleen huizenblokken, scholen en ziekenhuizen gebombardeerd, maar ook waterzuiveringsinstallaties en elektriciteitscentrales , tel dat op bij het vernielen van de infrastructuur zoals rioleringsnetwerken en een cholera uitbraak is al snel een feit………
Ongelofelijk deze leugen over de Houthi rebellen en dat op de BBC, een zendgemachtigde die er prat opgaat onafhankelijk te zijn……. ‘Uiteraard’ is de BBC al jaren niet meer onafhankelijk, de BBC zorgt vooral dat het regeringsbeleid geen kritiek krijgt….. De zittende regering is immers de broodheer en deze broodheer levert al zolang de oorlog in Jemen voortduurt wapens en munitie (waaronder clusterbommen) aan de reli-fascistische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië…… Daarmee is GB verantwoordelijk voor de vreselijke genocide die de Saoedische coalitie o.l.v. de VS in Jemen uitvoert op de sjiitische bevolking…… Verder geeft GB militaire training aan de Saoediërs en helpt bij het coördineren van militaire acties…….

* Vreemd te zien dat wanneer je nu op Google zoekt naar de huidige president, je alleen de naam Saleh te zien krijgt. Deze Saleh werd onlangs gedood door de Houthi rebellen, nadat hij met deze rebellen brak en het tegen hen opnam. Voorheen als je naar de ‘huidige president’ zocht, werd deze consequent aangeduid als Abd Rabbuh Mansur Al-Hadi. Deze stapte op nadat de Houthi’s hem met succes hebben bestreden, dit vanwege het onderdak verlenen aan IS en Al-Qaida, vervolgens nam Al-Hadi zijn toevlucht tot Saoedi-Arabië….. Zoals gezegd, als je nu zoekt naar de huidige president, krijg je alleen de naam Saleh te zien, dit in combinatie met berichten over diens dood……. Saleh was eerder president van Jemen in de periode van 1990 tot 2011, hij sloot zich aan bij de Houthi rebellen toen deze het opnamen tegen president Al-Hadi (die er overigens zelf voor koos op te stappen. Saoedi-Arabië dwong hem zijn presidentschap weer op te nemen, zodat hij S-A om militaire hulp kon verzoeken tegen de Houthi rebellen…….).
De laatste tijd zijn er een meerdere berichten gepubliceerd, waarin bewijzen worden gegeven voor VS (CIA) leveringen van wapens en raketten aan IS. Oké, dit is al veel langer bekend, maar het kan geen kwaad een paar van deze berichten te publiceren, zeker daar de reguliere westerse (massa-) media deze berichten niet brengen, of deze berichten worden hooguit door één of twee reguliere mediaorganen gepubliceerd (dat laatste geldt niet voor de twee hieronder opgenomen artikelen)
Het eerste artikel hieronder komt van Middle East Eye (MEE) dat ik vond via Anti-Media, het betreft hier VS wapenleveringen aan ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) in Syrië, wapens en munitie die echter voor een groot deel belanden bij hun collega’s van IS……
Jammer dat de schrijver van dit artikel niet ook heeft gekeken naar het feit, dat de CIA grote hoeveelheden ‘Russische wapens’ kocht in Oost-Europa en deze wapens aan terreurgroepen leverde in Syrië (iets dat o.a. in het daarna volgende artikel wordt beschreven). Al is het ongetwijfeld zo dat IS ook grote hoeveelheden wapens heeft buitgemaakt, o.a. op het reguliere Syrische leger.

Jammer ook dat men niet rept over de minstens 2 wapenleveringen van de VS direct aan IS, leveringen gedaan in Irak…..
Met deze artikelen wordt eens te meer duidelijk gemaakt dat het eerste doel van de VS in Syrië, niet IS was en is, maar de democratisch gekozen regering Assad (in door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk beoordeelde verkiezingen!). De VS stond dan ook samen met Saoedi-Arabië en Israël aan de wieg van IS en andere terreurgroepen….. De VS was al vanaf 2006 bezig de omverwerping van het Assad regime voor te bereiden. Weapons
provided by the US to Syrian rebel factions ended up in the hands of
the Islamic State (IS) group, a new report has revealed.
According
to Conflict Armament Research (CAR), an organisation that tracks arm
shipments, military equipment including anti-tank weapons that were
secretly transferred by CIA to rebels fighting Bashar al-Assad were
in IS possession within two months of leaving the factory.
The
study, which was funded by the European Union and Germany, examined
40,000 weapons and equipment recovered from IS in the last three
years, as the group’s “caliphate” continues to shrink in
the face of losses in Raqqa and Mosul.
It
concluded that projects to provide weapons to rebel groups had
“significantly augmented the quantity and quality of weapons
available to (Islamic State) forces.”
“Supplies
of materiel into the Syrian conflict from foreign parties – notably
the United States and Saudi Arabia – have indirectly allowed IS to
obtain substantial quantities of anti-armour ammunition,” read
the report. “These weapons include ATGWs and several varieties
of rocket with tandem warheads, which are designed to defeat modern
reactive armour. – Conflict

“These
systems continue to pose a significant threat to the coalition of
troops arrayed against IS forces.”
It
added that it could not confirm whether the weapons had ended up with
IS as a result of them being sold or because they had been seized.
US
weaponry has been used by IS since at least 2014 when the group swept
across Iraq and seized larges swathes of territory.
As
the US-trained Iraqi army collapsed in their wake, much of their
equipment was appropriated.
The
covert programme to funnel weaponry and equipment to rebels fighting
the Assad government began under Barack Obama in 2013, but was ended
in July by Donald Trump.
Attempts
to train rebel fighters across the border in Turkey also saw weaponry
end up in the hands of militant groups – the CIA-trained
Division 30, a group of roughly 70 fighters sent into northern Syria
to fight IS, were attacked by
the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front who captured their weapons.
The
report also added that more than 50 percent of the weaponry used by
IS was manufactured by China and Russia, largely from equipment
captured from the government of Iraq and Syria.
“China
produced the majority of the materiel (weapons and ammunition
combined) fielded by the group in both countries,” said the
report. “However, Russian-manufactured weapons outnumber Chinese
weapons deployed by IS forces in Syria – presumably reflecting
Russian supplies to the Syrian regime.
“These
findings support widespread assumptions that the group initially
captured much of its military materiel from Iraqi and Syrian
government forces.”
More
than 340,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict
broke out in March 2011 with protests against Assad’s rule that
sparked a brutal crackdown.

Blowback: ISIS Got A Powerful Missile The CIA Secretly Bought In Bulgaria
A new report on how ISIS built its arsenal highlights how the US purchased munitions, intended for Syrian rebels, that ended up in the hands of the terrorist group.

December 14, 2017 “Information Clearing House” – A guided anti-tank missile ended up in the hands of ISIS terrorists less than two months after the US government purchased it in late 2015 — highlighting weaknesses in the oversight and regulation of America’s covert arms programs, according to information published Thursday by an arms monitoring group called Conflict Armament Research (CAR).
Though the report says the missile was purchased by the US Army using a contractor, BuzzFeed News has learned that the real customer appears to have been the CIA. It was part of the spy agency’s top secret operation to arm rebels in Syria to fight the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The missile ended up in the hands of ISIS fighters in Iraq, according to the report.
The CIA declined to comment on the Obama-era program to back Syrian rebels, which was canceled by President Trump in July. The Pentagon did not provide information in time for publication.
The missile is one piece of a critical puzzle that is being solved only now, with ISIS on the run: How did the vast terror group arm its war machine? CAR spent three years tracking ISIS weapons as they were recovered by Iraqi, Syrian, and Kurdish forces — and found that what happened to the missile was no aberration. Indeed, the terror group managed to divert “substantial quantities of anti-armour ammunition” from weapons provided to Syrian opposition forces by the US or Saudi Arabia.
The anti-tank missile recovered from ISIS in February 2016. It had been shipped to the US Army in December 2015.
The investigators from CAR found that the policy has sometimes backfired, allowing America’s enemies to obtain arms meant for its allies. “Evidence collected by CAR indicates that the United States has repeatedly diverted EU-manufactured weapons and ammunition to opposition forces in the Syrian conflict,” the report states. ISIS, it continues, “rapidly gained custody of significant quantities of this materiel.”
The report lists 12 cases where Eastern European weapons originally sent to the US military or US contractors appear to have been diverted, somehow, to ISIS.
The weapon purchased by the US government in 2015, a 9M111B missile, is highly portable and can land a devastating charge with pinpoint accuracy on tanks, trucks, or buildings.
BuzzFeed News has been tracking the CIA’s procurement of 9M111 missiles as part of the deal for three years. In 2014, the CIA issued a contract to obtain 600 such missiles to Kiesler Police Supply, two sources said. Kiesler is a small Indiana company that frequently contracts with the CIA, according to experts in arms dealing. According to the CAR report, the contract for the missile that ended up in the possession of ISIS was handled by Kiesler.

The Indiana firm acquired those missiles from a Bulgarian company called SAGE Consulting, sources familiar with the transaction told BuzzFeed News. Bulgaria is a major source of the weapons that the US and other powers use to arm client armies.
In an email this summer, Kiesler declined to discuss the issue, writing that “we are not contractually authorized to disclose any information.” The company also insisted it was not to blame for where the weapons ended up. “Once Kiesler delivers its products to the customer, it does not have visibility with respect to the Government’s handling, use or disposition of the material,” it said.
On Wednesday, a woman who answered the phone at Kiesler hung up immediately. Then, after she was called again, she said that “we don’t talk to the media.”
SAGE, a well-known broker in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, declined a request for interviews with BuzzFeed News. But two Bulgarian arms dealers say SAGE has indeed been manufacturing the 9M111 missile, at a factory called VMZ, for the US government. “They make them only for the Americans,” one said, adding that the US buys as many as SAGE can manufacture.
Two sources familiar with the Syrian opposition told BuzzFeed News in 2015 that the CIA had begun to set up and train small tank-killing units of rebels. Each of these small units was planned as a force multiplier, which could enter a battle and effectively knock out Syrian armored positions, leveling the battlefield for the rebels.
In its report, CAR says the missile was originally purchased in Bulgaria by the US on Dec. 15, 2015. Just 59 days later, it was recovered in Ramadi, Iraq, after it had been fired by ISIS in combat.
In its report, CAR said a photo showed a US-backed Syrian rebel group, Jaysh al-Nasr, firing a missile that is identical to the one recovered from ISIS in Ramadi. The serial numbers on the ISIS missile and on one fired by Jaysh al-Nasr suggest that the two missiles were “part of the same supply chain,” according to CAR’s report.
A source close to the Syrian opposition said Jaysh al-Nasr fights chiefly in the north of Hama province, and was indeed aided by the CIA in Turkey. Two sources said the group received anti-tank missiles from the CIA.
It’s unclear how a missile provided to Jaysh al-Nasr in Syria would have ended up across the Iraqi border in ISIS hands.
A former Syrian opposition figure said rebels were vetted to the best of the CIA’s ability. The rebels, he said, were cautioned that every time they fired a weapon, they had to bring back the empty casings to prove they had in fact fired it rather than stolen or traded it.

Gisteren op BBC World Service radio aandacht voor het opsporen van landmijnen* door ratten. Getrainde ratten kunnen landmijnen opsporen, waarna deze onschadelijk kunnen worden gemaakt. De ratten zijn wat dat betreft niet het slachtoffer, daar ze te licht zijn om zo.n mijn tot ontploffing te brengen. Over de manier waarop de dieren worden getraind, valt overigens nog wel het e.e.a. aan te merken……
Tijdens het gesprek stelde een verslaggever van de BBC dat er geen mijnen meer worden gefabriceerd…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Misschien dat dit voor Groot-Brittannië geldt**, maar de grootste wapenfabrikanten VS, Rusland en China maken ze nog steeds en ook Israël fabriceert dit letterlijke en figuurlijke oorlogstuig…….
Als de bewering van deze verslaggever juist was geweest, zouden een groot aantal landen nog enorme voorraden van deze mijnen moeten hebben, daar het aantal niet ontplofte mijnen in voormalige en huidige ‘conflictgebieden’ gigantisch groot is……..
Het viel me alles mee, dat er nog wel werd gesteld, dat het gebruik van landmijnen de laatste jaren enorm is toegenomen (wat overigens ook al tegenstrijdig is met de uitlating dat deze mijnen niet meer worden gemaakt), hoewel de verslaggever stelde dat er vooral veel gebruik wordt gemaakt van zelf gefabriceerde mijnen, ofwel improvised explosive device(s) (IED)…… Gezien de enorme wereldwijde wapenhandel is dit uiteraard kul………. Bovendien voorziet de VS terreurgroepen met grote graagte van elk gewenst wapen, waaronder landmijnen…….

Voor Nederlandse lespakketten is er zelfs ‘veel moois’ op dat gebied te vinden, daarin wordt kinderen uitgelegd hoe handig mijnen kunnen zijn voor ‘onze jongens en meisjes’ (militairen) in het leger (‘Waarom leggen soldaten mijnen..’)…..
