Alle
tekenen wijzen naar een komend groot conflict >> het samenspannen van de VS en
haar (andere) slaafse westerse landen tegen Rusland, Syrië en Iran, plus
natuurlijk China en Noord-Korea, gesteund middels een enorme propaganda van de westerse media, zorgt ervoor dat er niet veel nodig is of we
zitten middenin WOIII…… Wat betreft China en Noord-Korea: daar
zijn nog geen officiële NAVO oefeningen gehouden, al zijn de spanningen er daar niet minder om…. (hoewel Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland en de Filipijnen natuurlijk ook een soort NAVO bondgenoot zijn*) Neem de alweer grote militaire oefening van Zuid-Korea en de
VS langs de grenzen en territoriale wateren van Noord-Korea……
Tijdens de Spelen kon de wereld even ademhalen en toenadering tussen
de 2 Korea’s was even een feit…..

De
Spelen zijn nog niet afgelopen of de VS kondigt aan dat de grote
jaarlijkse militaire oefening ‘gewoon’ doorgaat…..
Blijkbaar heeft de VS Moon Jae-in, de Zuid-Koreaanse president en de Zuid-Koreaanse regering dusdanig onder druk gezet dat men toestemde in het laten doorgaan van
die oefeningen, militaire oefeningen die de Noord-Koreanen al
decennia lang steken, maar waar vooral de VS niet van af wil zien…….. Tja,
zeg nu zelf, ‘wat is belangrijker’, een voor de winsten en macht van het militair-industrieel
complex en de macht van de VS te houden grootschalige militaire
oefening, of vrede?? Vrede is (blijkbaar) voor dombo’s……

Niet
alleen de agressie tegen landen als Syrië, Rusland, Iran, China en
Noord-Korea wijzen in de richting van WOIII, maar met de wisselingen
aan de top van de Trump administratie, kan het bijna niet anders of we stevenen af op een grootschalige oorlog……. De
ene psychopathische houwdegen van die administratie na de andere wordt op straat gezet, waarvoor in de plaats psychopaten worden ingezet die nog een fikse portie kwaadaardiger zijn……… De VS heeft zelfs gesteld dat een aanval met conventionele wapens (dus niet met kernwapens) op bevriende landen niet wordt uitgesloten, een aanval gericht op de bevolking en infrastructuur van die bevriende landen………

Shahtahmasebi noemt het niet in het volgende artikel, maar er ligt ook nog eens een enorme Himalaya aan VS schulden, het is dat de munt van de VS een internationaal betaalmiddel is en bijvoorbeeld de olieprijs in
dollars wordt uitgedrukt, anders zou het er wel eens heel anders uit
kunnen zien voor de VS en haar onafzienbare schuldenlast……

Vreemd
trouwens dat een land als China zulke enorme voorraden dollars heeft,
als dit land deze op de markt dumpt, kan de VS financieel
inpakken….. Dan blijft de vraag over wat goed is voor een land met enorme schulden? Juist,
oorlog!! Vandaar ook dat de geldpersen in de VS overuren maken…..
Het zou me trouwens niet verbazen als China de dollar niet eens durft
te dumpen als betaalmiddel (valuta om mee te investeren)……. Gezien
deze zaak zijn de agressieve woorden van Trump over een importheffing op Chinees
staal en aluminium nog vreemder…….. Blijkbaar wil hij
daarmee zeggen schijt te hebben aan China en haar enorme
dollarvoorraad………

Het
vorige voorbeeld is nog meer van belang, immers China en Rusland
hebben al een paar keer gesproken over een ander internationaal
betaalmiddel dan de dollar. Khadaffi wou de olie dollar inruilen voor
de gouden dinar, een munt waarvan de tegenwaarde altijd in goud
aanwezig zou zijn, één van de redenen voor de illegale oorlog van de
VS en haar oorlogshond NAVO tegen Libië…….. (de enorme goudvoorraad van Libië is tijdens de illegale oorlog van de VS en andere NAVO lidstaten tegen dit land ‘verdwenen….’)

Zo bezien is WOIII eigenlijk niet meer te ontwijken…….

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — Though some have
been warning about
the catastrophic potential for a third global conflict for years, it
wasn’t until recently that
these warnings became more
mainstream.
The calamitous nature of the violence in Syria — which has one
nuclear power defending a government that has been the target of a
regime change operation led by the world’s superpower —
combined with 2017’s threats of “fire
and fury” against
another state intently pursuing a nuclear weapons supply of its own,
has pushed the issue
of a third world war directly
into the public
discourse.

While
certain hotspots throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe
(i.e. Ukraine)
have seen some notable escalations in the last few years, a direct
conflict between Russia and the United States is still yet to emerge.
That’s because the idea of a third world war in today’s world is
completely insane. If the two countries that currently possess the
world’s greatest supplies of nuclear weapons go to war, there
may not be a world left for
the victors to inhabit after the war is done, thereby making it an
unthinkable proposal.

Then
again, the U.S. did just recently bomb a significant
number of
Russian-linked forces in Syria, reportedly killing scores of them.
The targets of these air strikes were also predominantly
Iranian-backed militias (just
in case there weren’t enough state actors already involved in this
ongoing conflict).

Speaking
of Iran, Donald Trump recently fired Rex Tillerson as secretary of
state and immediately appointed CIA director Mike Pompeo to replace
him. Pompeo is a notable
anti-Iran hawk who
will almost certainly go further than Tillerson was ever
prepared to
go with regard to the Iranian nuclear accord, a deal Pompeo believes
is “disastrous.”

There
are also reports now emerging that Donald Trump is planning to
oust his national security advisor, General H.R. McMaster. McMaster
originally replaced anti-Iran war hawk Michael
Flynn,
but apparently, McMaster’s non-stop
allegations against
Iran were not
enough to please Trump.
McMaster was not on board with Trump’s attempt to completely derail
the Iranian nuclear deal.

One
should bear in mind that when Donald Trump made the decision to
strike the Syrian government in April of last year in what amounted
to one of the year’s most important and over-publicized
geopolitical events, it was McMaster who
drew up the strike plan options and presented them to Trump to choose
from. If this is a man not hawkish enough for Trump’s
administration, his looming removal from the administration is a
worrying sign of what’s to come.

Donald
Trump’s Nuclear
Posture Review entails
that, as Katrina vanden Heuvel noted in
an article published in the Washington
Post:

“The
United States reserves the right to unleash
nuclear weapons first in ‘extreme circumstances’ to defend the
‘vital interests’ not only of the United States but also of its
‘allies and partners’ — a total of some 30 countries. ‘Extreme
circumstances,’ the review states explicitly, include ‘significant
non-nuclear attacks,’ including conventional attacks on ‘allied
or partner civilian population or infrastructure.’ The
United States also maintains a ‘portion of
its nuclear forces’ on daily alert, with the option of launching
those forces ‘promptly.’ [emphasis
added]

Considering
that a former analyst for the Council on Foreign Relations, Micah
Zenko, just warned that
Pentagon officials are actively searching for a “big war” against
Russia and China, the trajectory we are currently on starts to make a
lot more sense.

In
other parts of the world, we are witnessing a new era of hostilities
towards Russia. The debacle taking place in the U.K. right now, which
has seen allegations of a Russian chemical attack on British soil,
has prompted the U.K., U.S., France, and Germany to band
together and
condemn Russia for something that hasn’t even been conclusively
investigated yet.

After
years of constantly being painted as the enemy, Russia
just declared via
Twitter that a “Cold War II” has begun, and who can blame them?

A
third world war might sound crazy, but it is only crazy if we fail to
understand the desperation that continues to plague the men in suits
who pull the strings guiding American foreign policy. Consider that
the Syrian government, with Russian and Iranian backing, has
managed to
stabilize significant parts of the country despite
all odds so that refugees can return home safely. It should be clear
that the best way to solve the Syrian crisis is to discontinue
America’s regime change policy in Syria and allow the people of
Syria to normalize their own lives without Washington’s
interference. Yet, after seven years of brutal violence, the U.S.
still refuses to admit defeat in Syria. If anything, the U.S. has now
officially set its sights on
directly combatting Iranian influence in
the country, raising the potential for significant escalations.

Maybe,
just maybe, the U.S. is that desperate. Apparently, the U.S. has to
remain in Syria out of necessity. It cannot afford to sit on the
sidelines as Russia re-emerges as the major power broker in the
region, eating up all the major contracts coming
out of Syria (together
with Iran) as it looks to poach American allies left, right, and
center.

Additionally,
Russia recently warned the U.S. that it will not tolerate
Washington’s aggressive attacks on the Syrian government and will
respond with strikes of their own should
the U.S. military threaten Russian personnel. One should expect that
eventually, there will be a point where Russia will no longer allow
these attacks to go unanswered.

As
America’s power and influence wane, the time will come for both
Russia and China to make their mark on the global stage. Just on a
side note, it should come as no surprise that Trump’s nominated
ambassador to Australia, Adm. Harry Harris, is a known anti-China war
hawk who recently warned
Congress to prepare for a war with China.

Why
should we need to prepare for a war with China? Who talks and thinks
like that? A nation on a slow and inevitable decline that cannot
refuse to admit defeat in almost any battle theater since World War
II, that’s who.

Realistically,
nobody wants a third world war, but as the U.S. increasingly
thrashes to maintain its control of the global financial markets, its
network of over 1,000 bases worldwide, and its status as the world’s
global policemen, a third world war may be Washington’s only hope
at staying afloat as the world’s top power.

terecht waarschuwt Darius Shahtahmasebi de wereld voor het gevaar van
het ‘buitenlandbeleid’ dat de Trump administratie voert.

Met
veel voorbeelden geeft Shahtahmasebi aan dat de VS ons op de rand van
Wereldoorlog III heeft gebracht en er niet veel voor nodig is om deze
oorlog daadwerkelijk te laten losbarsten……

Waar blijven de demonstraties tegen het terreurbeleid van de VS, die ons steeds dichter bij WOIII brengen???

How

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — On
February 7, 2018, the U.S.-led coalition in Syria conducted
air and artillery strikes against
what were believed to be pro-government forces in response to an
“unprovoked attack” launched by these pro-regime troops. Not long
after, reports began
emerging that
significant numbers of Russian personnel were included in the over
100 dead and wounded. While Russia denied this at first, eventually,
the accepted version of events on both sides was that there were some
Russian nationals who did lose their lives in Syria. These Russians
are arguably mercenaries and contractors, not official troops.

This
is not the first time the U.S.-led coalition has struck
pro-government forces in Syria. Aside from Donald Trump’s grandiose
strike on
a Syrian airbase in April of last year, U.S. forces also conducted
multiple strikes against
Syrian and Iranian-backed forces as these factions began to encircle
the American military’s presence at a base in al-Tanf.

Donald
Trump has famously relaxed the Obama-era
restrictions on
calling in airstrikes, meaning commanders on the battlefield can call
in airstrikes at their disposal without any oversight. Previously, an
airstrike could not be launched on a whim and was required to go
through certain protocols before it could be delivered. Now, even
associated forces can call in American airstrikes on the battlefield.
The most infamous example of this is when Iraqi commanders called in
a U.S. strike that ended up killing well over 200
civilians in a single bombardment.

Barely
a week after Trump’s Syria strike in April, the U.S.
military dropped a
$450,000 bomb in Afghanistan dubbed the “Mother of all bombs”
(MOAB). It soon transpired that the decision to drop the bomb was not
made by Trump himself as commander-in-chief but by Gen.
John Nicholson,
commander of the U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

It’s
time to ask yourself: Are you comfortable with commanders on the
battlefield calling in airstrikes even if those airstrikes could
potentially kill personnel on the ground belonging to another nuclear
power?

Last
Tuesday, Wisconsin Democrat Mark Pocan told
the Nation that “Congress
has never authorized force against Syrian, Turkish, Yemeni Houthi,
Russian, Iranian, or North Korean forces. Yet reportedly, a secret
administration memo may claim the legal justification to do just
that: attack Syrian, North Korean, and other forces without any
congressional authorization.” [emphasis
added]

According
to Lawfare,
a lawsuit required the government to reveal a list of documents
relating to the April Syria strike, but not the actual documents
themselves. The court-ordered directions forced the government to
reveal that the seven-page secret memo Pocan was referring to was
drafted up by administration lawyers on April 6, 2017, just before
Trump’s infamous strike. The government’s declarations revealed
that only a few of the words on one of the memo’s pages are
classified, and they are related to facts, not legalities. Still, the
administration refuses to disclose the memo to the public, claiming
the document is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.

“I
am also concerned that this legal justification may now become
precedent for additional executive unilateral military action,
including this week’s U.S. airstrikes in Syria against pro-Assad
forces or even an extremely risky ‘bloody nose’ strike against
North Korea,” Senator
Tim Kaine (D-Va) said last week.

In
early February, the Pentagon released its much anticipated
2018 Nuclear
Posture Review.
From the Washington
Post’s Katrina
vanden Heuvel’s assessment:

“The
review reaffirms the United States is ready to use nuclear weapons
first in an alarmingly wide range of scenarios. It remains ‘the
policy of the United States to retain some ambiguity regarding the
precise circumstances’ that might lead to a nuclear response. The
United States reserves the right to unleash
nuclear weapons first in ‘extreme circumstances’ to defend the
‘vital interests’ not only of the United States but also of its
‘allies and partners’ — a total of some 30 countries. ‘Extreme
circumstances,’ the review states explicitly, include ‘significant
non-nuclear attacks,’ including conventional attacks on ‘allied
or partner civilian population or infrastructure.’ The
United States also maintains a ‘portion of
its nuclear forces’ on daily alert, with the option of launching
those forces ‘promptly.’ [emphasis
added]

The
U.S. has an active stockpile of at least 4,000 nuclear weapons,
rivaled only by Russia. According
to the Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR),
a “limited” regional exchange of nuclear weapons could force one
billion people to the point of starvation, and a week-long “regional”
encounter could kill far more than died during World War II.

As
Albert Einstein famously
said, “I
know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World
War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

Heuvel
correctly summarized the current nuclear strategy:

“In
sum, the United States is building a new generation of nuclear
weapons and delivery systems, will deploy more usable nuclear weapons
in ‘forward’ areas, remains committed to possible ‘first use’
of nuclear weapons even against non-nuclear attacks in defense of 30
countries, retains missiles on active alert ready to launch, is
skeptical of the possibility of any progress in arms control and is
hostile to the global movement to make nuclear weapons illegal. All
this as tensions with Russia and China rise, relations with North
Korea remain literally explosive, and the nuclear deal with Iran
stays under constant assault from the president.”

One
thing we do know is that the U.S. is openly
considering nuclear strikes in
response to cyber-attacks, which could be conducted by anyone from
lone-wolf hackers to Iran,
North Korea, Russia, or China. We also know that the Trump
administration has been weighing a “limited” strike
on North Korea for
some time now, even as North and South Korea pursue a peaceful
dialogue of their own. Even now, the U.S. continues
to position nuclear-capable
B-52 and B-2 bombers around the Korean peninsula. The B-2 is the most
advanced bomber in the United States air force, capable of dropping
the military department’s biggest bomb, which weighs in at around
14,000 kilograms.

This
is a recipe for disaster. Donald Trump isn’t bringing the troops
home and focusing on “making America great again.” According to
the Department
of Defense,
American troop deployments to the Middle East had increased 33
percent by the end of last year.

It’s
time for both sides of the political coin to confront their delusions
and face reality. Donald Trump is by far the most
hawkish, trigger-happy president to
have ever been sworn into office, which is no easy feat considering
his predecessors. His policies are leading the United States down a
dangerous path that could see a miscalculated strike on Syria,
Russia, Iran, North Korea, or even China — whether by mistake or by
design. Considering that strikes have already been underway in Syria
against the Syrian government and its allies, including Russia, these
policies are likely to lead to something far more explosive down the
line.

De Verenigde Arabische Emiraten hebben de regering van Jemen opzij gezet en niemand bericht erover……..

Alsof
Jemen nog niet genoeg in de stront zit, een land waar dagelijks
honderden mensen sterven van honger, uitputting, cholera en difterie,
hebben de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten nu hun zinnen gezet op het
zuidelijk deel van Jemen, zodat ze één van de belangrijkste zeestraten ter wereld kunnen controleren……..

De
Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) hebben de in feite al illegale
regering van Jemen gedwongen te vertrekken……. ‘Illegaal’ daar Hadi, die
‘bij gebrek aan een tegenkandidaat’ in 2012 met meer dan 99% van de
stemmen (en dat waren er niet veel…) werd gekozen……

Hadi zelf spreekt wat betreft de actie van de VAE over een coup…….. De VAE maken gebruik van een groot aantal goed getrainde huurlingen uit Zuid-Amerika., je weet wel van die psychopaten voor wie mensenlevens evenveel waard zijn als die van vleeskuikens (die men kippen durft te noemen) uit de intensieve martelveehouderij……..

Opvallend
weer, de afwezigheid van dit bericht in de reguliere media, wat de
schrijver van het volgende artikel, Darius Shahtahmasebi wijt aan de
vele ‘conflicten’ waarmee de wereld wordt geplaagd, echter het zit een stuk
smeriger in elkaar dan hij denkt……. Immers ook voor de vreselijke
oorlog die de Saoedische coalitie onder regie en met hulp van de VS
voert tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, dat wordt verdedigd
door de Houthi rebellen, is amper aandacht in de reguliere media…. Sterker nog: als men al bericht is dat op een manier waarbij de Houthi rebellen worden afgeschilderd als de aanstichters van de huidige oorlog……. Intussen richt Saoedi-Arabië in Jemen de ene slachting na de andere aan…….

Terwijl de Houthi’s de enige strijdgroep vormen, die zich verzette tegen
IS en Al Qaida, terreurgroepen die van Hadi toestemming kregen hun kampement op te
slaan in Jemen, waarna deze terreurgroepen tekeer gingen tegen de
sjiitische bevolking……. Dit was dan ook de reden voor de Houthi’s om Hadi te
verjagen, zeer tegen de zin van de reli-fascistische staat
Saoedi-Arabië die Hadi onder druk hebben gezet zijn claim op het
presidentschap te handhaven, zodat hij hen te hulp kon roepen……

Daarnaast zijn de reguliere media in handen van grote investeerders dan wel miljonairs (en miljardairs), die handelsbelangen prefereren boven mensenrechtenschendingen dan wel oorlogsmisdaden gepleegd door landen waar veel te verdienen valt. Hetzelfde geldt voor de westerse publieke media, die afhankelijk zijn van subsidies van hun overheden, neoliberale overheden die alles behalve willen dat handelsbelangen met rijke en grote olie-exporteurs worden geschaad…….

Zoals gezegd de
reguliere westerse media hebben de oorlog van S-A tegen de Houthi’s
willens en wetens verdraait, waardoor de Houthi’s als terroristen
werden afgeschilderd en S-A als de goede partij wordt neergezet, een partij die orde op zaken
kwam stellen voor ‘de rechtmatige regering……’ Uiteraard hebben die media geen behoefte de
laatste staatsgreep van de VAE te melden, immers hoe moeten ze dan in godsnaam
nog hun leugens verklaren…..??? Je hoort nu dan ook bijvoorbeeld op Radio1 en BNR dat de ‘deskundigen’ stellen de toestand in Jemen te ingewikkeld te vinden, om nog uit te kunnen leggen aan de luisteraars……..

Lees hoe de wereld alweer op een geweldsexplosie afdrijft, die opgeteld bij de andere conflicten al bezig is met de eerste grote stuiptrekkingen van een nieuwe Wereldoorlog……..

UAE
Just Overthrew Yemen’s Government — and Nobody’s Talking About
It

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — Between
a major regional confrontation on the horizon taking
place in Syria between
Israel, Syria, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and the United States and a
potential nuclear
standoff with
North Korea and China, it is no surprise that there are many
newsworthy stories that continue to go unnoticed.

One
such story is what is currently taking place in Yemen, and this time
around, it involves a country other than Saudi Arabia, the United
States, or the United Kingdom.

In
early 2015, Yemen’s President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi fled
his palace in Aden after
a takeover saw him unseated in a relatively bloodless manner
(bloodless, that is, compared what followed after Saudi Arabia’s
brutal intervention). Hadi was still recognized internationally as
president even though he technically had already been overthrown. (By
way of comparison, the United States insists that President Bashar
al-Assad in Syria is not the country’s legitimate ruler, even as he
continues to retain his office after around seven years of fighting).

Saudi
Arabia, in particular, was adamant that Hadi maintained the country’s
legitimate leader. Why? Because Hadi was the one who requested U.N.
intervention and Saudi assistance to battle the Houthi-led
insurgency. Without Hadi, their basis to bomb Yemen without a U.N.
mandate becomes even more dubious than it already has been.

However,
Saudi Arabia is not the only major player in Yemen. While the
corporate media — in tandem with the warmongering
government officials who
apparently have nothing better to do than to fabricate nonsense –
continue to blame Iran for the deteriorating situation in Yemen, the
truth remains that there is one other U.S. ally heavily involved in
destabilizing one of the poorest nations in the Arab world.

At
the end of January of this year, the Telegraph reported that
Yemen’s current government was preparing to flee Yemen entirely
while a separatist group backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
seized control in Aden and surrounded the presidential palace.
Yemen’s other major city, Sana’a, is more
or less under the control of
the Houthi rebels. Rather than wasting valuable time and resources
trying to take over Yemen’s former capital in the face of a
determined Houthi outfit, the UAE instead has plans of its own to
completely form their own country in the south of Yemen.

Last
year, southern insurgents backed by the UAE formed the Southern
Transitional Council with the aim of reforming South Yemen, a country
that existed until it united with the north in
1990. Accordingto Middle
East Eye,
these southern separatists have no interest at all in conquering
Sana’a, anyway.

According
to the Telegraph,
Yemen’s prime minister, Ahmed bin Dagher, pleaded with Saudi Arabia
to intervene on the government’s behalf. But no
such intervention came,
and Saudi Arabia has essentially enabled the separatists’ take
over.

When
Yemen’s former leader Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed by Houthi
forces near the end of last year, Anti-Media predicted this
to be a major pivotal moment for the war in Yemen. According
to Middle
East Eye,
it was this event that became the turning point in the UAE-Saudi
relationship in Yemen. UAE has no interest in fighting a losing
battle and has aligned itself with the party it views as being able
to get the job done and serve their interests in Yemen, “riding the
wave,” as Middle
East Eye described
it.

As
long as Hadi can retain his post as exiled president and legitimize
Saudi Arabia’s presence in the country, Saudi Arabia is not
expected to do much by way of confronting UAE’s regional ambitions.
This is even while the UAE would
not allow Hadi
to enter Aden in August of last year. Hadi himself views
the entire situation as
a “coup” and has called the separatists “occupiers,” not
liberators.

Right
now, as well as having large-scale ground troops in the country,
training tens of thousands of Yemeni troops and importing hundreds of
highly skilled mercenaries from South America, the UAE is
also operating
a network of torture prisons in
Southern Yemen. Thousands of terror suspects have allegedly
disappeared in these prisons.

As
poor and impoverished as Yemen is, its geostrategic importance should
not be overlooked. Yemen is situated in an important
transit route,
and by controlling strategically important trade routes, the UAE can
continue to develop and expand its fossil-fuel trade to Europe and
North America and become a global energy superpower.

According
to leaked
emails revealed
to Middle
East Eye last
year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman actually wants out of
the war in Yemen, and these latest developments only continue to cast
further doubt on Saudi Arabia’s strategy in its almost
three-year-long war. Saudi Arabia has shown that together with the
U.S., the U.K., and other regional players, it can devastate Yemen’s
infrastructure and civilian population, but it has absolutely nothing
to show by way of military victory.

This
has all taken place with very little media coverage. We have
witnessed Donald Trump’s ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley,
berate Iran over its alleged and unproven activities in Yemen, and
even Saudi Arabia has received some negative
media coverage for its criminal role in this war.
Yet the UAE’s continued occupation of Yemen largely goes unnoticed.

The
UAE is the world’s fourth-largest arms importer after Saudi Arabia,
India, and China. The UAE also
infamously assisted in the aerial onslaught of
Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya in 2011 and continued
to wage a proxy war in
the country even after Gaddafi was overthrown.

No
one is talking about it, but the UAE has its sights on becoming a
major player in the region not just economically, but also
militarily.

One
reason why the UAE’s ever-expanding role in the Middle East
continues to go under-reported may be the vast amount
of influence the
current UAE ambassador to the U.S., Yousef Al Otaiba, wields. He is
reportedly “one
of the most powerful and well-connected men in Washington,”
as detailed by the Intercept.
Unsurprisingly, Otaiba is also allegedly the leading voice in
Washington for the war in Yemen.

Syrië: VS en Israëlische agressie dreigt de wereld in een oorlog te storten……

De door de VS geleidde coalitie heeft met haar aanval op strijders voor het legitieme Syrische leger een grens overschreden die het risico op een oorlog tussen de VS en Rusland een heel stuk dichterbij brengt…… Je zal begrijpen dat wanneer dit gebeurd er sprake zal zijn van de Derde Weredloorlog, immers China zal zich zonder meer achter Rusland scharen tegen de ongebreidelde VS agressie (of zeg maar gerust; terreur)….

De VS heeft intussen 2.000 militairen op Syrisch grondgebied en is daarmee illegaal aanwezig in dit land, het lamme excuus voor de hiervoor genoemde aanval dat het hier om zelfverdediging gaat, is zo bezien al helemaal een gotspe!!

Israël heeft intussen laten zien het niet eens te zijn met de huidige status quo en heeft zich nu volledig in de Syrische oorlog gemengd, dit zogenaamd na een aanval met een drone op ‘Israëlisch grondgebied’, een duidelijke false flag operatie met de bedoeling de eigen terreur in Syrië te rechtvaardigen…… Eerdere bombardementen voerde Israël zogenaamd uit, om Iraanse wapentransporten richting Libanon te voorkomen, echter de grootste schade schijnt toch te zijn toegebracht aan het Syrische leger en groepen die samen met dit leger tegen IS hebben gestreden en strijden……..

De corrupte Israëlische premier Netanyahu heeft de afgelopen tijd wekelijks minstens één keer Syrië en Iran gewaarschuwd voor aanvallen van Israël als men niet zou inbinden en bijvoorbeeld zou proberen gebieden aan de Golanhoogten te heroveren, hetzelfde gebied dat Israël NB aan de andere kant van de grens illegaal heeft bezet …… Eerder lapte Israël IS strijders op in hetzelfde gebied, zodat ze daarna verder konden vechten tegen het reguliere Syrische leger, ook voerde Israël op verzoek van IS bombardementen uit op stellingen van het Syrische leger……

Nu is nog de vraag hoelang Rusland zal blijven toezien, voordat het Israëlische en/of VS jagers zal aanvallen……..

World Is on the Brink of War Once Again as All Hell Breaks Loose in
Syria

(ANTIMEDIA) — The
U.S.-led coalition conducted air and artillery strikes against
pro-regime forces in Syria on Wednesday, killing over 100
pro-government fighters, CNN reports.

According
to the coalition’s statement, the strikes were carried out after
forces allied with the Syrian government “initiated
an unprovoked attack”
against
what CNN termed “a
well-established Syrian Democratic Forces headquarters where
coalition advisers were working with US-backed Syrian fighters.”

CNN dubbed
the U.S.-led strike “defensive” even though U.S. forces have no
legal authority to be in Syria in the first place, something the New
York Times was
forced to admit a
few weeks ago. According to official numbers, there are some 2,000
U.S. troops embedded with SDF forces in Syria, and Syria has deemed
these U.S. troops to be an invading
force.
Technically, the act of violating Syria’s sovereignty and killing
over 100 of its troops in a flagrant act of war makes the U.S. the
aggressor — not the defender — in this scenario. (If you are
having trouble understanding this, try reversing the U.S. and Syria
in the scenario and seeing how you would feel if the shoe were on the
other foot).

According to
the Marine
Corps Times,
the coalition service members were acting in an “advise, assist and
accompany capacity” when the attack occurred, eight kilometers east
of the current Euphrates River deconfliction line. However, U.S.
troops in Syria have been doing a lot more than advising and
assisting on the ground. According to
Army Sgt. Major. John Wayne Troxell, one particular Marine
battalion “fired
more rounds in five months in Raqqa, Syria, than any other Marine
artillery battalion, or any Marine or Army battalion, since the
Vietnam war.”

“In
five months they fired 35,000 artillery rounds on ISIS targets,
killing ISIS fighters by the dozens,” Troxell
told Marine
Corps Times in
January.

The Marine
Corps Times called it an “explosive revelation” that
shed light on the “immense level of lethal force brought to
Raqqa and northern Syria,” noting that in comparison, only
34,000 artillery rounds had been fired in the invasion of Iraq.

Moving
back to the matter at hand, CNN reported
that the attack on the U.S. base in Syria involved some 500 pro-Assad
forces using artillery, mortar fire, and Russian-made tanks.
According to the military official CNN quoted,
no U.S. or SDF forces were killed in the attack, but the coalition
still saw it fit to retaliate by killing at least 100 Syrian
government forces. It is indisputably and particularly hypocritical
that there is no international outrage over this act of aggression
when one compares the media
hysteria over
a country like North Korea, which is currently bombing no one.

The
official also stated that the coalition suspected the pro-government
forces attacked because they have their sights set on seizing the
lucrative oil fields in the area, which the SDF had previously taken
after ISIS’ control over the area collapsed.

Despite
the fact that this territory belongs to Syria, the U.S. is providing
air cover for the SDF to take hold of this oil-rich region. The SDF
doesn’t have an air force of its own, but if it can start
generating substantial revenue from
these oil fields, then it may be able to start buying more and more
military equipment from the U.S.

The
other option, of course, is that the U.S. can provide air cover for
the SDF in the region indefinitely, something that could pose a
problem in the distant future if the U.S. military presence has no
determined end in sight. As it stands, the U.S. is proposing it stay
in Syria until a political resolution sees the Assad
government unseated.

The
official also explained that Russia had been informed of the presence
of pro-regime forces in the area before the attack and that Russia
assured the coalition they would not engage with coalition forces.
Russia responded
to the attack almost
immediately, condemning the U.S. military presence in Syria as
“illegal” and accusing the U.S. of trying to steal Syrian oil.

“The
recent incident once again shows that the United States’ illegal
military presence in Syria is actually aimed at taking control of the
country’s economic assets and not at fighting against the ISIS
international terror group,” the
Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, as quoted by
the Washington
Post (WaPo). It
should also be noted that these incidents of aggression do nothing to
aid Russia’s
current and ongoing attempt to
establish a peace process of its own.

At
around the same time, Turkish media reported that
Turkey’s Prime Minister and its Foreign Minister had been in
contact with both Iran and Russia. This is remarkable because these
communications have preceded a scheduled visit to Turkey this weekend
by U.S. national security advisor H.R. McMaster. Iran and Russia were
also reportedly in contact with each other at around the same time,
as well. Could it be that this triangle
of emerging power brokers in
Syria deciding the fate of Syria without the involvement of the U.S.
has prompted the American military to take drastic measures to
disrupt this developing alliance? Even with opposing aims in Syria —
and even with Turkey’s
recent invasion of Syrian territory —
Iran, Turkey, and Russia have all managed to find some common ground
without resorting to a confrontation with one another.

Accusing
the U.S. of “mission-creep,” former U.S. ambassador to Syria
Robert Ford said “[t]he
Americans have managed through their diplomatic strategy to isolate
themselves to the point where Turkey, Iran and Syria all agree that
what the U.S. is doing in Syria is bad.”

Further,
before the American-led air attack took place, Russia accused the
U.S. of attempting
to partition Syria,
an accusation that appears to be grounded in reality. CNN has
acknowledged that the U.S. did not strike pro-regime forces that
crossed back to their assigned territory of the Euphrates River even
though all of the territory technically belongs to the government
under international law. In other words, the U.S. is happy to leave
Syrian troops to their own devices provided they stay within the
areas the U.S. has assigned to them. How else could this be
described, if not a partition?

Further,
according to the International Crisis Group (ICG), an international
NGO whose mission is to prevent and resolve deadly conflict, Iran
and Israel are only one “miscalculation” away
from war as both sides have been seen to escalate their military
interventions in Syria. The ICG identified Russia as the only real
mediator between the two countries and urged Russia to play a more
active role in averting a potential escalation.

Further,
also on Wednesday, the BBC reported that
Israeli warplanes had attacked a military complex in Damascus. A
Syrian military statement reportedly said its air defense systems had
blocked most of the missiles, but it is not clear if there were any
significant casualties. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu also reportedly visited the
disputed Golan Heights territory at the same time, warning his
enemies not to test Israel’s resolve. This was a clear reference to
Iran and Hezbollah, which is prominent in both Lebanon and Syria.

In
what can be described as an amazing coincidence, these air attacks by
both Israel and the U.S. have taken
place off the back of a joint military exercise between
the United States and Israel, which simulated a joint U.S.-Israeli
response to a rocket attack by Hezbollah.

Were
these recent attacks by Israel and the U.S. a one-time incident in
response to the threats allegedly posed by pro-Assad forces,
including Hezbollah? Or are both these countries building up to
something more confrontational?

All
things considered, it seems likely we will find out where this
conflict is headed in the not too distant future, especially given
the potential for one miscalculated move to lead to something
extremely volatile. As it stands, it should be noted that in the
meantime, it is not Syria that is attacking any other state or
launching a war against any other country.

With
the assistance of the media, the U.S. and Israel continue to bomb
Syrian territory in direct contravention of international law, now
killing and wounding significant numbers of the Syrian government’s
armed forces without any significant journalistic or international
opposition.

One
can only hope that someone heeds the advice of the ICG and attempts
to de-escalate this conflict before it transforms itself into a
regional powder keg involving at least three or more nuclear
powers.

Rechtse denktank waarschuwt voor een groot risico op een kernoorlog met Rusland…..

De rechtse denktank Munich Security Conference brengt jaarlijks een rapport uit over de toestand in de wereld, waar zoals normaal gesproken het westen braaf bezig is, terwijl de zogenaamde vijanden van het westen: Rusland, China, Noord-Korea en Iran (plus een aantal andere landen die niet VS gezind zijn) worden afgeschilderd als het kwaad zelve….. Wonderlijk genoeg is het dit jaar (iets) anders, de denktank waarschuwt voor de spanningen tussen het westen en Rusland en waarschuwt voor een nakende kernoorlog, die zomaar door incidenten zou kunnen ontstaan……

Zo’n incident gebeurde gisteren bijvoorbeeld, toen straaljagers van de VS hun transponder uit hadden gezet bij patrouilles langs de Russische grens, een zaak waar Rusland terecht meteen protest tegen aantekende…… Omgekeerd, dus met Russische patrouilles langs de VS grens zouden, als ze al plaatsvonden, onmiddellijk tot een gewelddadige actie van de VS hebben geleid, gelukkig dat Putin en zijn regering meer gezond verstand bezitten, zoals de laatste jaren meermaals is bewezen, ‘maar goed….’

Jammer genoeg liet de Munich Security Conference zware kritiek op de agressie van de VS achterwege, terwijl het toch voor iedereen duidelijk moet zijn, dat m.n. de VS de grote agressor is in de wereld……..

Ik begrijp werkelijk niet dat regeringen als Rutte 3 de VS laten doorgaan met haar extreem gevaarlijke agressie langs de grenzen van Rusland, waar NB al helemaal geen VS of NAVO troepen zouden mogen zijn, gezien de overeenkomsten die werden gesloten met Gorbatsjov na de val van de muur……….

Blijkbaar is het van ondergeschikt belang dat onze bevolking (en die van de EU in het groot) het gevaar loopt te worden weggevaagd in een nucleaire oorlog, waarvan Trump al sinds zijn aantreden droomt (waar heb je anders die kernraketten voor, ‘ ja toch….???’…… Dit heeft Trump zich in het openbaar letterlijk al drie keer afgevraagd…..)…..

Nu ik het er toch over heb: waar zijn alle demonstranten uit de 70er en 80er jaren gebleven, demonstranten die zich destijds tegen de nucleaire kruisraketten en neutronenbommen van de VS hebben verzet????? (weet je nog? Hollanditis!) De situatie is heden ten dage minstens 10 keer zo gevaarlijk als destijds, maar van grootschalige demonstraties is geen sprake…….

The
annual Munich Security Report, this year entitled “To the Brink –
and Back?” warns that the European Union and NATO are
facing a massively increased risk of an inadvertent war with
Russia.

The
report, due to be published later this week, cites mounting security
concerns in Eastern Europe, fueled by weakening of nuclear treaties,
mounting tensions, and mutual military buildups along the frontier.

Each
of these increases the possibility of a miscalculation or other
misunderstanding that would lead to a military conflict, which could
quickly escalate out of control into a massive nuclear war.

This
report echoes what many other reports have already warned about, that
NATO-Russia relations are at their worst since the height of the Cold
War, and that there aren’t enough safeguards to prevent a
disastrous conflict.

That
it’s found its may into the Munich Security Report is noteworthy,
as the past few of their reports have played up the “Russian
threat,” and were eagerly backing the same buildups they now
lament.

En als die gebeurtenis niet snel plaatsvindt zal Donald de aanzet daartoe zelf in gang zetten! (‘t is maar dat je het weet!)

De CIA houdt zich sinds enige tijd ook bezig met het voorspellen van de toekomst, niet vreemd voor een terreurorgaan dat oneindig veel vaker liegt dan de waarheid spreekt.

Het BBC World Service radionieuws van 1.00 u. afgelopen nacht, bracht het nieuws dat opperhufter en massamoordenaar Pompeo, directeur van de CIA, alle aanwijzingen heeft en het erop lijkt dat Rusland de VS ‘midterm’ verkiezingen later dit jaar zal manipuleren. Met andere woorden: deze plork heeft als bewijs voor z’n toekomstvoorspelling ‘aanwijzingen’ waardoor het erop lijkt dat Rusland ‘alweer’ verkiezingen in de VS zal manipuleren……… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Ten eerste is er geen greintje bewijs voor eerdere Russische manipulaties (ook het laatste Volkskrant/Nieuwsuur verhaal aangaande Russiagate is apekool…*) en ten tweede zou men in Rusland wel helemaal knettergek zijn geworden als men inderdaad zou proberen de VS verkiezingen te manipuleren, zeker na alle leugens die de VS en anderen hierover hebben geventileerd in de westerse massamedia…….

Wel geeft dombo Pompeo met zijn belachelijke praatje aan dat zijn CIA al bezig is met het verzamelen van non-bewijs om Rusland weer als de kwaaie pier aan te wijzen…….. Niet zo moeilijk als je de VS documenten ziet die zijn opgeslagen onder Vault 7 en 8 op Wikileaks. Daaruit blijkt dat de VS andere landen of bedrijven kan hacken en een spoor achter kan laten dat bijvoorbeeld leidt naar Russische servers, dan wel naar de Russische geheime dienst……

‘Een mooie manier’ van oorlogshitsen tegen Rusland, immers de militaire Trump administratie (of eigenlijk: junta) heeft gesteld dat een aanval met kernwapens kan worden overwogen, bij een cyberaanval op de VS……** Dit terwijl er alleen keiharde bewijzen zijn voor dergelijke acties begaan door…. de VS zelf tegen landen die men daar als vijandig beschouwt!

Daarover gesproken, kernwapens: Pompeo stelde dat het nog maar een paar maanden duurt voordat Noord-Korea werkende kernraketten heeft waarmee het doelen in de VS kan raken……… (dus het wordt tijd voor ‘actie’ van de VS…) Terwijl Trump en Tillerson hebben gesteld dat ze een eind willen maken aan de zoektocht naar kernwapens door Noord-Korea, m.a.w.: Noord-Korea heeft geen werkende atoombom!!! Een enorme fout van Trump en later Tillerson, om dit toe te geven! Echter dit zou wel stroken met het feit dat nog geen land heeft geconstateerd dat er radioactieve straling te meten was boven de plek waar Noord-Korea haar ondergrondse ‘kernproeven’ hield. Dit is in de dagen na zo’n proef te meten, zelfs middels satellieten en daarvan gaan er dagelijks wel ‘een paar’ over Noord-Korea……

In een bericht dat gisteren werd gepubliceerd op CounterPunch (gevonden via het blog van Stan van Houcke) heeft de schrijver John LaForge zware kritiek op de de houding van de Trump administratie t.a.v. kernwapens….. Dit n.a.v. een artikel op de Huffington Post, waarin werd geciteerd uit gelekte concept documenten over het beleid dat de Trump administratie voert ten aanzien van kernwapens en uiteen wordt gezet in de Nuclear Posture Review >> NPR (VS).

Deze NPR wordt vooral gebruikt om journalisten en studenten middels eufemistische termen het gevaar van nucleaire vernietiging te bagatelliseren………..

Vergeet niet dat de VS niet schroomt een (illegale) oorlog te beginnen, zo heeft de (recente) geschiedenis ons wel geleerd, de kans dat zo’n oorlog in de nabije toekomst zal beginnen met één of meerdere kernwapens van de VS is dan ook levensgroot, zeker als je de uitlating van Trump over kernwapens hoort, zoals de uitlating die hij zelfs drie keer herhaalde: “If we have them, why can’t we use them……?”

De VS is druk bezig met de ontwikkeling van kernwapens die op het slagveld en tegen steden ‘gebruikt kunnen worden’ en dat door een land dat als enige het atoomwapen twee keer heeft ingezet tegen burgers………

Trump’s
Draft Nuclear Posture Review Degrades National Security

On
Jan. 11, the Huffington Post posted a leaked draft of the Trump
Administration’s Nuclear
Posture Review,
the government’s most detailed unclassified nuclear weapons and war
planning and preparation document, the first since April 2010.

The
NPR is used to provide smart-sounding euphemism and theoretical
distraction to reporters and scholars who sometimes write about
nuclear weapons. Since such weapons can only produce firestorms
and massacres that neither medics nor hospitals can begin to respond
to, the government uses cool, technical terminology to sell the
“need” and “usefulness” of the devices to tax payers.

Nuclear
Watch New Mexico* in Santa Fe keeps a critical eye on programs and
problems at the state’s two nuclear weapons design and production
laboratories, Los Alamos and Sandia. In the following, Nuclear Watch
NM provides expert analysis of the latest official gibberish.

The
new Review begins with “[m]any hoped conditions had been set for
deep reductions in global nuclear arsenals, and, perhaps, for their
elimination. These aspirations have not been realized. America’s
strategic competitors have not followed our example. The world is
more dangerous, not less.” The Review then points to Russia and
China’s ongoing nuclear weapons modernization programs and North
Korea’s “nuclear provocations.” It concludes, “We must look
reality in the eye and see the world as it is, not as we wish it be.”

If
the US government were to really “look reality in the eye and see
the world as it is,” it would recognize that it is failing
miserably to lead the world toward the abolition of the only class of
weapons that is a true existential threat to our country. As an
obvious historic matter, the US is the first and only country to use
nuclear weapons. Since WWII the US has threatened to use nuclear
weapons in the Korean and Viet Nam wars, and on many other occasions.

Further,
it is hypocritical to point to Russia and China’s “modernization”
programs as if they are taking place in a vacuum. The US has been
upgrading its nuclear arsenal all along. In the last few years our
country has embarked on a $1.7 trillion modernization program to
completely rebuild its nuclear weapons production complex and all
weapons based on land, in the air and at sea.

Moreover,
Russia and China’s modernization programs are driven in large part
by their perceived need to preserve strategic stability and
deterrence by having the ability to overwhelm the US’s growing
ballistic missile defenses. Ronald Reagan’s pursuit of “Star
Wars” (fed by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s false
promises of success) blocked a nuclear weapons abolition agreement in
1988 with the former Soviet Union. In 2002, George W. Bush
unilaterally withdrew the US from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM Treaty),
which has been a source of constant friction with the Russian
government ever since.

More
recently, at Israel’s request, the US blocked the 2015
Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference at the UN from agreeing to
a conference on a nuclear weapon-free zone in the Middle East (Israel
has never signed the treaty). As an overarching matter, the US and
other nuclear-armed treaty signatories have never honored the
Treaty’s Article VI mandate “to pursue negotiations in good faith
on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race
at an early date and to nuclear disarmament…,” in effect since
1970. As a consequence, last year more than 120 countries at the UN
passed a nuclear weapons ban treaty which the US vehemently
denounced, despite the fact that there have long been ban treaties on
chemical and biological weapons which the US has not only supported
but also sought to enforce.

With
respect to North Korea’s nuclear provocations, that regime is
clearly seeking deterrence against the US. North Korea’s
infrastructure was completely destroyed during the Korean War, and
its people later witnessed the destruction of the Iraqi and Libyan
regimes neither of which had nuclear weapons.

Finally,
the NPR purports to be about “deterrence” against hostile
threats. However, the US’s true nuclear posture has never been just
deterrence, but rather the ability to conduct nuclear attacks,
including pre-emptive first strikes. This is why the US (and Russia)
keep thousands of nuclear weapons instead of the few hundred the
other nuclear powers keep for just deterrence. Keeping and improving
the ability to use nuclear weapons is the underlying reason for the
$1.7 trillion “modernization” program (another euphemism) that is
actually developing new nuclear weapons, instead of maintaining a few
hundred, known to be “useful” for 50 years, while pursuing
nuclear disarmament.

Beyond
preserving and upgrading the enormous land, sea and air-based nuclear
arsenal, the new NPR calls for:

1)
Near-term development of a low-yield nuclear warhead for existing
Trident missiles launched from new submarines.

2)
New sub-launched nuclear-armed cruise missiles.

3)
Keeping the 1.2 megaton B83-1 nuclear gravity bomb “until a
suitable replacement is identified.” [Hiroshima times 80]

4)
“Provide the enduring capability and capacity to produce plutonium
‘pits’ [warhead cores] at a rate of no fewer than 80 pits per
year by 2030.”

5)
“Advancing the W78 warhead replacement to FY19… and investigating
the feasibility of fielding the nuclear explosives package in a Navy
flight vehicle.”

Obvious
problems with these five programs are:

1)
An adversary won’t know whether a Trident sub-launched nuclear
warhead is a new low-yield or an existing high-yield warhead. In any
event, any belief in a “limited’ nuclear war is a fallacy that
shouldn’t be tested. Once the nuclear threshold is crossed at any
level, it is crossed, and lower-yield nuclear weapons are all the
more dangerous for being potentially more usable.

2)
Sub-launched nuclear-armed cruise missiles are inherently
destabilizing as the proverbial “bolt out of the blue,” and can
be the perfect weapon for a nuclear first-strike. Moreover, this is
redundant to nuclear-armed cruise missiles that are already being
developed for heavy bombers.

3)
The National Nuclear Security Administration largely justified the
ongoing program to create the B61-12 (the world’s first “smart”
nuclear gravity bomb) by being a replacement for the 1.2 megaton
B83-1 bomb. Does this indicate doubts in the $13 billion B61-12
program? And will it lead to a bump up in the number of nuclear
weapons in the US’s arsenal?

4)
To date, the talk has been up to 80 pits per year, not “no fewer
than.” Also, the 2015 Defense Authorization Act required that the
capability to produce up to 80 pits per year be demonstrated by 2027.
The NPR’s later date of 2030 could be indicative of longstanding
plutonium pit production problems at the Los Alamos National
Laboratory. That delay and hints of higher than 80 pits per year
could also point to the pit production mission being relocated at the
Savannah River Site, which is under active consideration. In any
event, future plutonium pit production pit production is not needed
for the existing nuclear weapons stockpile, but is instead for future
new-design nuclear weapons.

5)
“W78 warhead replacement… in a Navy flight vehicle” is code for
so-called Interoperable Warheads, whose planned three versions
together could cost around $50 billion. These are arguably huge make
work projects for the nuclear weapons labs (particularly Livermore),
which ironically the Navy doesn’t even want (Navy
memo,
Sept. 27, 2012). It is also the driving reason for unnecessary
future production of more than 80 pits per year.

Jay
Coghlan, Nuclear Watch’s Executive Director, concludes with a grim
prognosis:

“The
new NPR does not even begin to meet our long-term need to eliminate
the one class of weapons of mass destruction that can truly destroy
our country. It will instead set back arms control efforts and
further hollow out our country by diverting yet more huge sums of
money to the usual giant weapons contractors at the expense of public
health and education, environmental protection, natural disaster
recovery, etc. Under the Trump Administration and this NPR, expect
Medicare and social security to be attacked to help pay for a false
sense of military superiority.”

Het wordt met de dag zotter in de VS, gisteren bracht ANTIWAR een artikel met het nieuws dat de VS een nucleaire aanval als een redelijke vergelding voor een cyberaanval ziet……….Een cyberaanval uit de VS wel te verstaan, want alle aanvallen die tot nu toe zogenaamd zijn gedaan tegen de VS, kwamen allen uit VS koker….. Althans als je de figuren uit Macedonië niet meerekent, die gebruik maakten van de algehele hysterie in de VS in aanloop van de verkiezingen en de gekste berichten de wereld instuurden over Trump, dit om zo veel mogelijk te kunnen innen (met genoeg klikken op jouw bericht kan je geld innen van internetaanbieders als Google….)…..

Zo is de VS ook verantwoordelijk voor het grote aantal manieren om een ander op te laten draaien voor een cyberaanval: m.a.w. een ‘false flag’ operatie…… Dit zijn operaties die de VS al veelvuldig heeft gebruikt in het verleden, ofwel een aanleiding creëren om ‘legaal’ een oorlog te kunnen beginnen tegen het land, waar de grootste terreurstaat op aarde, de VS, de pik op heeft………. Voorbeelden hoe de VS dit doet op de digitale manier zijn te vinden in de Vault 7 (en 8) documenten op Wikileaks.

Een nucleaire aanval als reactie op een cyberaanval…… Wat wil je met een totaalidioot in het Witte Huis, die zijn gehoor eerder tot 3 keer toe vroeg: “If we have nuclear weapons why can’t we use them?” en nee dat was niet een opzet om de kernwapens de wereld uit te helpen, maar om ze daadwerkelijk te gebruiken………

De VS is bezig met het ontwikkelen van zogenaamde kleine kernwapens, waarmee men een stad kan vernietigen…….*

Het platleggen van een groot deel van de infrastructuur in de VS, hetzij op energie gebied, of het uitschakelen van een groot deel van het internet, middels een cyberaanval, zou voldoende moeten zijn om een nucleaire aanval te beginnen, aldus het Pentagon.

Voor alle verhalen over Russische manipulaties en hacks, precies als die over Noord-Korea, is geen flinter bewijs, integendeel er komen bijna dagelijks bewijzen bij waaruit blijkt dat de VS zelf achter deze hacks zit……. Het absolute dieptepunt is wel de beschuldiging, dat Rusland via advertenties tegen minimale bedragen de verkiezingen voor Trump zou hebben gewonnen, zoals via advertenties op Facebook van ‘t vervelende parmantige ventje Zuckerberg, die denkt dat veel geld hebben gelijk staat aan staatsmanschap en politiek inzicht……..

De hoogste tijd voor wereldwijde protesten tegen het gebruik van kernwapens, je weet wel met de leus: ‘Alle kernwapens de wereld uit!’

Now Sees Nuclear Strike as ‘Realistic’ Response to Cyberattacks

(ANTIWAR.COM) — While
much of the early reporting on the Pentagon’s new Nuclear Posture
Review has focused on acquiring smaller nukes and using them much
more often, the details continue to slowly emerge, and show a
scramble to establish more pretexts for nuclear first strikes.

This
includes cyberattacks. In hyping up the threat of major cyberattacks
that might conceivably put lives at risk, the Pentagon’s
document proposes the
use of nuclear first strikes against cyber foes, presenting that as
the only “realistic” option to such threats.

The
“massive cyber attack” narrative is built around the assumption
that a particularly severe hack could conceivably knock out a good
portion of the US electricity grid, a major cellphone network, or
even some of the Internet’s backbone.

Obviously
no such hacks have ever happened, but officials have been eager to
play them up as a possibility, both as a way to justify more spending
on cyberwarfare, and to hype threats posed by whatever enemy they
choose to hype.

Which
is another problem. US assignments of blame in cyberattacks are
rarely grounded in evidence or reality, but rather they blame whoever
is politically expedient at the time, whether it’s Russia, China,
or North Korea. Such reckless blame is relatively consequence-free
when the US just responds with angry threats, but nuclear strikes
could quickly start massive, civilization ending nuclear warfare.

Making
nuclear war more likely is the general theme of the Nuclear Posture
Review anyhow though, and while it’s drawing a lot of criticism for
that from former officials and private analysts, it’s not at all
clear that within the current administration, this bellicose and
irresponsible posture isn’t the whole point.

The
Trump Administration has spent its entire time in power easing
restrictions on the military, and giving commanders more and more
leeway on their operations. It might not be such a surprise for that
to spill over into nuclear weapon policy.

VS op weg naar daadwerkelijk gebruik van het kernwapen…………..

Hoorde
gistermiddag op BBC World Service radio rond 15.20 u., John Wolfsthal
van de Nuclear Crisis Group (zie tweede toegevoegde artikel). Hij
waarschuwde de wereld voor het gemak waarop de Trump administratie en Noord-Korea spreken over
een nucleaire aanval op de ander

Wolfsthal
sprak niet alleen over het niet hebben van een restrictie op dit
gebruik, dus alleen kernwapens inzetten als een andere partij zo’n
wapen op de VS loslaat, maar ook over een nieuwe strategie t.a.v. kernwapengebruik. Zoals de regelmatige lezer intussen weet:
meermaals heb ik gesteld dat onder Obama het kernwapen de status
verloor van afschrikkingswapen, heel dom van mij, zo blijkt…… Het
ging er destijds bij Obama, de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede winnaar (ha!
ha!) om, juist die restrictie in te voeren, echter daar was de Obama administratie uiteindelijk toch tegen………

Wolfstahl
ziet grote problemen bij de nieuwe generatie kernwapens die de VS
laat fabriceren, daar zitten ‘kleine’ kernwapens tussen, die ‘alleen’
een stad verpulveren…… Vreemd trouwens dat hij zich zo gelaten
uitliet over deze op steden ‘gerichte’ kernwapens….. De Blockbusters
uit WOII waren al een schandalig wapen, immers erop gericht om
huizenblokken te vernielen…… (intussen een oorlogsmisdaad volgens het verdrag van Genève…..) Om
over de VS aanvallen met atoombommen op Hiroshima en Nagasaki maar te zwijgen….. Nu
doen ‘we’ het blijkbaar dunnetjes over met een Hiroshima 2.0
kernwapen……….. (‘uiteraard veel effectiever…..’)

Hoe is
het gvd mogelijk dat onze regering en de EU niet een keer de klep
opentrekken over alle kernwapens, de vernieuwing daarvan en het
zoeken naar ‘bruikbare kernwapens’, terwijl ze continu de vuilbek vol
hebben over Noord-Korea….. Noord-Korea probeert zich met hun zoektocht naar een kernwapen* te verdedigen tegen de ongebreidelde VS agressie >> zie hoeveel illegale
oorlogen deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde heeft
ontketend in de loop van haar bestaan……. Daarnaast: in 1953 had de VS
luchtmacht geen doelen meer over om te bombarderen in Noord-Korea,
die vooral daardoor een vijfde van haar bevolking verloor in de Koreaanse
Oorlog……….. Vergeet niet dat beloften van de VS niets waard zijn, zo heeft o.a. Khadaffi van Libië ondervonden, voordat hij barbaars werd vermoord…..

Blijkbaar
kan uw regering wel leven met het feit, dat wij voor het grootste
deel uitgeroeid zullen worden in een kernoorlog, zij kunnen immers
‘lekker ondergronds….’

zootje mensen……..

Hieronder
een artikel van Jason Ditz, geplaatst op ANTIWAR en overgenomen van
Anti-Media. Hij schrijft over het gevaar kernwapengebruik aan te duiden als een mogelijke oorlogsvoering, dus middels een eerste aanval op een ‘tegenstander…’ In het Ditz-artikel o.a. de verduidelijking van het beleid t.a.v. het kernwapengebruik. Onder het Ditz-artikel nog een bericht over de

(ANTIWAR.COM) — With
the US forever investing more into their nuclear arsenal, ensuring
they have the world’s biggest collection of city destroying arms,
the fact that none have been used in over 70 years is a silver lining
to many, but within the administration, it may be a problem that
needs correcting.

Administration
officials are now said to both be hard at work acquiring smaller,
more “usable” nuclear weapons, and radically
changing the rules of engagement with respect to a US nuclear first
strike,
so that such attacks are more possible in the future.

While
some nuclear powers have ruled out ever launching a first strike, the
US has long refused to make such a position, with President Obama’s
brief consideration of such a pledge quickly panned as making the US
“look weak.”

Even
without the pledge, the current crop of arms are for all intents and
purposes unusable except in an extinction-level nuclear exchange.
Such a strike would simply be too big, and too much of a humanitarian
disaster to seriously contemplate.

Which
is where these smaller nuclear arms come in. Pentagon officials see
the introduction of more tactical nuclear arms as a way to build arms
that are usable at a much lower threshold, and seem to be shrugging
off concerns that this will effectively normalize nuclear warfare.

Officials, Experts From 10 Countries Review Nuclear Flashpoints,
Propose Urgent Plan To Head Off Nuclear Use

WASHINGTON,
D.C. — Today,
Global Zero’s Nuclear Crisis Group (NCG), a newly-formed team of
seasoned diplomats, military leaders and national security experts
from nuclear-armed and allied countries, released a set of urgent
recommendations to avoid the use of nuclear weapons and called on
national leaders to act now to reduce the unacceptably high risk of
nuclear conflict. The report comes as U.S. President Donald Trump
meets with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Washington to
discuss, among other things, the escalating crisis on the Korean
Peninsula. Specifically:

The
Nuclear Crisis Group calls for the United States and North Korea to
begin immediate discussions, without any preconditions, to reduce
the risk of conflict. Full denuclearization through the “Six
Party” process,
including a freeze on nuclear and missile tests, production of
nuclear materials, suspensions of military exercises, and
negotiation of a formal peace regime will take time, but must not be
allowed to prevent urgently needed discussions to avoid escalation
of nuclear risk.
The
Nuclear Crisis Group welcomes the decision by the United States and
Russia to resume serious strategic stability talks, which have yet
to begin, and urges
both governments to fully utilize existing mechanisms for diplomatic
and military-to-military dialogues. Both parties should move
immediately to extend the New START agreement and resolve violations
of the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty, and fully implement
agreements to establish nuclear risk reduction and data exchange
centers. Further
steps to avoid and manage military incidents in the air and at sea
are critical to avoiding nuclear risks, and all parties should
reaffirm their desire to avoid nuclear use and refrain from making
nuclear threats.
In
South Asia, the Nuclear Crisis Group calls on India and Pakistan
to resume
real risk reduction and strategic stability dialogues, declare their
mutual desire to avoid nuclear weapons use, to keep battlefield
nuclear weapons in storage only and to not deploy land-mobile
nuclear systems. The
two parties should establish nuclear risk reduction centers,
possibly using third-party satellite data, and discuss a bilateral
or multilateral nuclear test moratorium.
The
Nuclear Crisis Group concludes
the risks of nuclear escalation between the United States and China
remains real and urges the states to fully implement existing
accident-avoidance agreements, to avoid steps that could lead to
military incidents, including
medium-altitude reconnaissance flights and militarization of
newly-formed islands in the South China sea, and to expand
military-to-military and diplomatic talks to include nuclear
doctrine and transparency.

The
Group, co-chaired by Amb. Richard Burt, Gen. (ret.) James E.
Cartwright and Amb. Thomas Pickering, met last month in Vienna,
Austria to review specific nuclear flashpoints and developed
recommendations that can help prevent conflicts from escalating to
nuclear weapons use.

“We
were fortunate to avoid the use of nuclear weapons during the Cold
War. The danger that one of several local conflicts could grow
quickly to the nuclear level is very real,” said
Ambassador Richard Burt, co-chair of Global Zero’s Nuclear Crisis
Group.

“We
must prevent a serious problem from becoming catastrophic. Any use of
nuclear weapons anywhere would have global disastrous
consequences,” added
Ambassador Thomas Pickering, co-chair of Global Zero’s Nuclear
Crisis Group.

“We
continue to rely too heavily on nuclear weapons, and accept too much
risk, believing we can control escalation,” explained
former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs James Cartwright (USMC,
Ret.), co-chair of Global Zero’s Nuclear Crisis Group. “The
norm of non-use is at risk and we are not paying enough attention to
those risks.”

“The
frozen Korean conflict could go hot at any minute and we have no
proven way to avoid escalation with North Korea,” said
Jon Wolfsthal, former special assistant to President Obama and senior
advisor to Global Zero. “We
have to address these risks before it is too late.”

The
Nuclear Crisis Group will continue to closely monitor nuclear
flashpoints and update its recommendations as international
developments unfold.
