VS, de werelddictator: Iran-deal is van nul en generlei waarde (op basis van leugens en achterklap)…….

Hoorde
vannacht op BBC World Service (radionieuws van 00.30 u.) dat Trump de
Iran deal naast zich neerlegt en Iran de zwaarste sancties oplegt,
precies zoals de verwachting was……. De wereld staat intussen op de kop, daar de VS in feite uitmaakt wie er wel of niet mag handelen en met wie, kortom: als de VS sancties tegen Iran instellen hebben alle bedrijven, uit welk land dan ook zich te houden aan wat de dictator van de wereld, ofwel de VS voorschrijft, zoniet……….

Dit
alles gebaseerd op aantoonbare leugens, zoals de leugen dat Iran in
het geniep aan een kernwapen werkt…. De VN inspecteurs en die van
de IAEA (het Internationaal Atoomenergie Agentschap) hebben uit en te na onderzoek gedaan in Iran en stellen dat
dit fysiek zelfs onmogelijk is, daar alle apparatuur daarvoor is
verwijderd dan wel ontmanteld.

Overigens
lijkt deze hele zaak precies op de tijd van voor de illegale oorlog die
de VS tegen Irak begon in 2003: de ene leugen die de andere leugen moet
ondersteunen, terwijl er geen flinter bewijs is voor de leugens die
de VS aanvoerde….. ‘Netto resultaat’ van die illegale oorlog: tot nu toe meer dan 1,5 miljoen vermoorde Irakezen…… Moet je nagaan: de VS stelt zelfs dat Iran de situatie in Irak op scherp heeft gesteld…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Het voorgaande gaat naadloos over in de bewering van de VS dat Iran de situatie in het Midden-Oosten destabiliseert……. Iets wat je nu juist (wel met bewijzen) de VS, Saoedi-Arabië en Israël kan aanrekenen……

Sterker
nog: de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Darius
Shahtahmasebi stelt volkomen terecht dat de punten die het 666 beest
Trump als basis gebruikt voor de beslissing uit de deal met Iran te
stappen, stuk voor stuk zijn terug te voeren op het VS
buitenlandbeleid, dan wel op beleid van haar belangrijkste
partners in het Midden-Oosten Israël en Saoedi-Arabië…….

Zo
is de grootste sponsor van terreur in het Midden-Oosten Saoedi-Arabië
en niet Iran, S-A dat NB de betalingen van bijna alle terreurgroepen
in Syrië voor haar rekening nam en neemt, dit nog naast de
wapenleveranties en training aan/van deze terreurgroepen……
Hetzelfde S-A dat samen met de VS, GB en een aantal arabische staten
een genocide uitvoert op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, een
grotere vorm van terreur is niet te bedenken….. 

Wat betreft Israël: deze fascistische apartheidsstaat is zonder meer ook als terreurstaat aan te merken, neem alleen al het enorme aantal oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid die Israël tegen de Palestijnen heeft begaan en begaat…… Daarnaast heeft deze uiterst agressieve staat zelf kernwapens en weigert het het verdrag tegen non-proliferatie te tekenen, zoals het ook het verdrag tegen het maken en verspreiden van chemische wapens weigert te tekenen….. (Israël ontwikkelt, produceert chemische wapens en slaat deze wapens nog steeds op >> waar het me niet zou verbazen als veel van het door de ‘gematigde rebellen’ in Syrië gebruikte gifgas rechtstreeks uit Israël is gekomen…..)

Het
voorgaande nog naast het feit dat de VS zelf de grootste
terreurentiteit op aarde is, die alleen deze eeuw al meer dan twee
miljoen mensen heeft vermoord middels: 

  • illegale oorlogen
  • drone
    aanvallen op verdachten, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers
    niet eens verdacht was, dus vooral vrouwen en kinderen…
  • geheime
    militaire acties in een aantal landen waar het niets te zoeken heeft, veelal onder regie van de CIA…… 
  • staatsgrepen 
  • het
    manipuleren van verkiezingen in landen waar de VS ook al niets te zoeken
    heeft 
  • het hacken van zelfs overheidscomputers die behoren aan VS
    bevriende naties (zo werd zelfs de telefoon van de Duitse premier
    Merkel gehackt door de VS….)  
  • het opzetten en regisseren van
    opstanden (die moeten uitmonden in een staatsgreep, zo kan je beter spreken van de VS Lente i.p.v. de Arabische Lente)………

(ANTIMEDIA Op-ed) — U.S.
President Donald Trump announced on
Tuesday that the United States is officially walking away from the
2015 Iranian nuclear accord, also known as the Joint Comprehensive
Plan of Action (JCPOA).

As Anti-Media has
already outlined,
it appears that right from the get-go, it was the United States that
implemented this agreement in bad faith — not Iran. To put it
bluntly, the United States is the only party that has violated its
terms. In light of this harsh truth, is it Iran or the United States
that poses a threat to global stability?

In
taking this drastic step, the United States has certainly
demonstrated its schizophrenic approach to global affairs and
effectively shown its true colors to the world. According to
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, sanctions will be re-imposed on
Iran to punish Iran for the following:

  1.       Iran’s
    status as the world’s largest state sponsor of terror;

  2.       Its
    use of ballistic missiles against American allies;

  3.       Its
    support for the brutal Assad regime in Syria;

  4.       Its
    human rights violations against its own people;

  5.       Its
    abuses of the international financial system.

The
first of these claims is completely untrue. Iran spends
very little on military-related affairs compared
to the United States and its regional allies, Saudi Arabia and
Israel. Saudi Arabia has openly
confirmed it
spread the ideology of Wahhabism — the same sect of Islam as ISIS —
across the world at the behest of its Western allies. The U.S.
actively supported the precursor to
al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan with Saudi assistance in order
to confront the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The U.S. continues
a similar policy of supporting
Sunni jihadists even to this day.

Iran
has no such history. Iran’s proxies, like Hezbollah, are in the
business of fighting ISIS. In fact, they are the most heavily
engaged entities
fighting against ISIS on the ground in Syria. Not once have we seen a
report that says ISIS has been found to be carrying Iranian weapons.
In contrast, reports that show ISIS have managed to obtain American
weapons are numerous.

The
second claim above is also ludicrously unprovable. We can only
document Iran using
missiles on
one occasion in recent history: during a strike that took place in
Syria pursuant to its defense
pact arrangements
with the Syrian government in response to an ISIS-inspired attack
that took place on Iranian soil. Unless Syria is an ally of the U.S.
government, this claim against Iran attacking U.S. allies is also
completely false. That being said, the idea that the Iranian missiles
took out U.S. allies on the ground, which were actually ISIS and
al-Qaeda affiliated organizations, is actually somewhat believable.

But
what about Yemen? Iran is supplying missiles to the so-called Houthi
rebels in Yemen to attack Saudi Arabia, right? This has not even
been remotely proven outside
of a grandiose propaganda performance from U.N. ambassador Nikki
Haley. Compared to Saudi Arabia and the United States, the Iranian
war machine is relatively restrained.

In
fact, it is the United States that uses sophisticated
missiles on
Iranian allies without any discernible

legal
basis and
is also heavily bombing almost
all of the countries surrounding Iran at
any given time.

Iranian
support for the “brutal Assad regime in Syria” would hold water
if the U.S. didn’t openly support some of the worst dictatorships
in the world, including Saudi Arabia. How many people reading this
article are aware that
the Indonesian military – a longtime
U.S. ally –
just openly shot down a parishioner standing on the front porch of
his church in Papua? Is the Indonesian military under scrutiny for
its crackdown over Papua?

While
the Iranian government is certainly repressive — and also the
result of U.S. meddling in
the country’s domestic affairs
— factions of the U.S. government, too, have committed human
rights abuses against
their own people,
as well as civilians around the
world.

The
list goes on and on. To those of us who aren’t swamped in MAGA
propaganda, it sounds a lot like the United States is criticizing
itself more than it is criticizing Iran, which despite its flaws, has
actually abided by the terms of the JCPOA in good faith,
as confirmed by
Trump’s own State Department and Secretary
of Defense James Mattis.

Iran
isn’t the unstable threat to international security. In fact, the
evidence suggests it is the
United States that really deserves that title.
If the United States were genuine in its bid to deter illegal
aggression and protect human rights, it would impose sanctions on
itself, invading
and bombing its
own government back
into the Stone Age.

But
let’s not get too hopeful.

Steven Hawking die in maart dit jaar overleed, beëindigde 10 dagen voor zijn dood zijn theorie over de oorsprong van het heelal. Met een nieuwe theorie die hij samen met de Belgische wetenschapper Thomas Hertog uitwerkte, werd de idee dat het heelal voor eeuwig zou uitbreiden fiks bijgesteld.

E.e.a. heeft te maken met de kwantummechanica, als deze wordt toegepast op de theorie van een eeuwig uitdijend universum, zou het heelal op een plek verder uitdijen en op een andere plek tot stilstand komen, waardoor een bobbelig multiversum (pocket universe) zou moeten ontstaan.
Als dit klopt zou de theorie dat er een oneindig aantal universums (of universa, wat je wilt) in het multiversum bestaan, met een fiks aantal moeten worden verkleind…. Bovendien zouden de natuurkundige wetten en ‘chemische wetten’ zoals wij die kennen, van elkaar kunnen verschillen. Daarnaast zou de relativiteitstheorie van Einstein aan inflatie onderhevig zijn, echter dat was al bekend toen Hawking in 1983 zijn theorie over een multiversum openbaarde. (m.a.w. In feite zou Hawking met zijn laatste theoretische uiteenzetting zijn gelijk halen)

(ZHE) — Before he passed away in March, renowned physicist Stephen Hawking had published more than 230 articles on the birth of the universe, black holes and quantum mechanics. But, ten days before his death, Hawking finished his final theory on the origin of the universe – now published posthumously – and it offers an interesting departure from earlier ideas about the nature of the “multiverse.”
As PBS reports, the new report, co-authored by Belgian physicist Thomas Hertog, counters the longstanding idea that the universe will expand for eternity.

If you asked an astrophysicist today to describe what happened after the Big Bang, he would likely start with the concept of “cosmic inflation.” Cosmic inflation argues that right after the Big Bang — we’re talking after a teeny fraction of a second — the universe expanded at breakneck speed like dough in an oven.

But this exponential expansion should create, due to quantum mechanics, regions where the universe continues to grow forever and regions where that growth stalls. The result would be a multiverse, a collection of bubblelike pockets, each defined by its own laws of physics.

“The local laws of physics and chemistry can differ from one pocket universe to another, which together would form a multiverse,” Hertog said in a statement. “But I have never been a fan of the multiverse. If the scale of different universes in the multiverse is large or infinite the theory can’t be tested.”

Along with being difficult to support, the multiverse theory, which was co-developed by Hawking in 1983, doesn’t jibe with classical physics, namely the contributions of Einstein’s theory of general relativity as they relate to the structure and dynamics of the universe.

“As a consequence, Einstein’s theory breaks down in eternal inflation,” Hertog said.

Einstein spent his life searching for a unified theory, a way to reconcile the biggest and smallest of things, general relativity and quantum mechanics.
He died never having achieved that goal, but leagues of physicists like Hawking followed in Einstein’s footsteps. One path led to holograms.

Instead of the ‘standard’ description of how the ‘universe’ unfolded (and is unfolding), the authors argue the Big Bang had a finite boundary, defined by string theory and holograms.

The new theory – which sounds simplistically like the world of the red-pill-blue-pill Matrix movies – embraces the strange concept that the universe is like a vast and complex hologram. In other words, 3D reality is an illusion, and that the apparently “solid” world around us – and the dimension of time – is projected from information stored on a flat 2D surface.

The Telegraph reports that Prof Hertog, from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), said:

“It’s a very precise mathematical notion of holography that has come out of string theory in the last few years which is not fully understood but is mind-boggling and changes the scene completely.“

Applied to inflation, the newly published theory suggests that time and “the beginning” of the universe arose holographically from an unknowable state outside the Big Bang.
Prof Hawking said before his death:

“We are not down to a single, unique universe, but our findings imply a significant reduction of the multiverse, to a much smaller range of possible universes.“

And believe it or not, there’s actually evidence that the world works this way.

As PBS concludes, some physicists point out that the Hawking-Hertog theory is preliminary and should be considered speculation until other mathematicians can replicate its equations.
Sabine Hossenfelder, a theoretical physicist with the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, said on her blog that the ideas put forward in this paper join others that are currently pure speculation and don’t yet have any evidence to support them. She makes it clear that while the proposals aren’t uninteresting, Hawking and Hertog haven’t found a new way to detect the existence of universes other than our own.

“Stephen Hawking was beloved by everyone I know, both inside and outside the scientific community,” she wrote.

“He was a great man without doubt, but this paper is utterly unremarkable.”

to inflation, the newly published theory suggests that time
and “the beginning” of the universe arose holographically from an
unknowable state outside the Big Bang.

Prof
Hawking said before his death:

“We
are not down to a single, unique universe, but our findings imply a
significant reduction of the multiverse, to a much smaller range of
possible universes.“

And
believe it or not, there’s actually
evidence that
the world works this way.

As
PBS concludes, some
physicists point out that the Hawking-Hertog theory is preliminary
and should be considered speculation until
other mathematicians can replicate its equations.

Sabine
Hossenfelder, a theoretical physicist with the Frankfurt Institute
for Advanced Studies, said on
her blog that
the ideas put forward in this paper join others that are currently
pure speculation and don’t yet have any evidence to support them.
She makes it clear that while the proposals aren’t uninteresting,
Hawking and Hertog haven’t found a new way to detect the existence
of universes other than our own.

“Stephen
Hawking was beloved by everyone I know, both inside and outside the
scientific community,” she wrote.

“He
was a great man without doubt, but this paper is utterly
unremarkable.”

Drie oud-mariniers die onafhankelijk van elkaar hebben vernomen van collega getuigen (officieren), die destijds betrokken waren bij de bestorming van de de school in Bovensmilde, dat de gijzelnemers moesten worden uitgeschakeld en daarmee werd bedoeld ‘een standrechtelijke executie’ (“géén krijgsgevangenen…..”)

Het was niet de bedoeling dat er Molukkers in leven zouden blijven om te kunnen worden berecht, een politiek besluit onder verantwoording van destijds PvdA premier Den Uyl en CDA minister van Justitie van Agt…… De laatste liet overigens weten dat dit onmogelijk, ondenkbaar en uitgesloten is, terwijl hij eerder meermaals durfde te zeggen dat hij er geen herinnering aan had…….. (van Agt is blijkbaar echt vergeten wat een enorme smeerlap hij destijds was…..)

Ingo Piepers, één van de drie oud-mariniers, vertelde in de Volkskrant o.a. dat de commandant die de school in Bovensmilde moest bestormen, wel de opdracht tot executie kreeg, maar dat hij dit terecht heeft geweigerd en de gijzelnemers overdroeg aan justitie…… Deze commandant wil niet getuigen, uit misplaatste loyaliteit aldus Piepers……. Piepers is ervan overtuigd dat ook de mariniers in De Punt dezelfde opdracht kregen, daar het ging om één opdracht: een eind maken aan de gijzelingen…..

De ‘onafhankelijke’ zendgemachtigde NOS, zet op haar website grote vraagtekens bij de verklaring van de drie mariniers, daar zij geen getuigen zijn van de bestorming van de trein of de school…… Tja, je volgt een lullige kop, waarin wordt gesteld dat de drie getuigen waren van de bestorming en laat dan ‘het volk’ zien dat dit niet kan kloppen en ‘dus’ het verhaal is gelogen…….

Helaas voor de NOS, maar er zijn wel degelijk eerlijke mariniers, die stellen dat deze zaak niet onder het tapijt hoort en dat de waarheid eindelijk moet worden verteld…….. In het Radio1 nieuws wordt nu gemeld dat de drie ‘getuigen’, niet getuige waren van de kaping; alsof deze oud-mariniers dat zouden hebben gezegd……

De bekende deelnemende mariniers aan de bestorming van de school in Bovensmilde en de trein bij de Punt ontkennen dat de opdracht tot executeren van de Molukkers werd gegeven……..

Zoals de advocaat die de nabestaanden van de Molukse gijzelnemers bijstaat, Liesbeth Zegveld meermaals heeft gesteld: de deelnemende mariniers zijn geïnstrueerd in wat wel en niet te vertellen aan onderzoekers, die recent de gang van zaken in 1977 nagingen, vandaar dat Zegveld afgelopen december aangifte heeft gedaan van het beïnvloeden van getuigen…… (zie links hieronder)

Voor Zegveld tilt ook zwaar aan het feit dat de verantwoordelijke commandanten destijds niet zijn gehoord in het onderzoek naar de afloop van de treinkaping en de gijzeling van schoolkinderen…….. Tja waarom zou dat niet zijn gebeurd, de vraag stellen is haar beantwoorden………

De oorlog tegen het arme deel van de VS bevolking

Beste bezoeker, het moet wel heel gek zijn gegaan als jij op school niet hetzelfde over dr. Martin Luther
King leerde als ik: Martin Luther King was een
voorvechter tegen de rassenscheiding en dus voor gelijke rechten van
de gekleurde bevolking t.o.v. het witte deel.

Echter
een paar jaar voor dat hij werd vermoord, waren King en anderen bezig één grote beweging op te zetten tegen vooral de
armoede in de VS, dwars door kleur, religie of politieke overtuiging,
al moet je dan wel bij voorbaat een deel van de democraten en
republikeinen uitsluiten, die alles behalve wensten (en nog steeds niet wensen) dat mensen
eindelijk eens eerlijk worden behandeld…….

De eerste Poor People’s Campaign, een strijd tegen armoede, systematisch racisme en militarisme (dat enorme kapitalen opslokt door eindeloze oorlogvoering), werd mede door King nog voor zijn dood gelanceerd

Kortom
King was wat men toen noemde: behoorlijk controversieel bezig en bepaald niet geliefd bij
de VS overheid, door wie hij dan ook in opdracht werd vermoord……

Volgens
een laatste onderzoek wonen er nu 140 miljoen mensen in armoede in de
VS, waartussen velen met één of meer banen en die desondanks een te
laag maandelijks inkomen hebben, om ook maar een stuiver over te kunnen
houden, sterker nog: het ontbreekt hen aan veel zaken, bijvoorbeeld geld om gezond voedsel te kunnen kopen (een ‘maaltijd’ van McDonald’s is in de VS een stuk goedkoper, dan zelf een maaltijd te maken met gezonde ingrediënten….)……..

Je
zou dus verwachten dat de VS overheid wel veel geld in de armoede zal
steken, echter van elke belastingdollar gaat 53 dollarcent naar illegale
oorlogsvoering, terwijl 15 cent van die dollar naar
armoedebestrijding gaat, ofwel naar 140 miljoen VS burgers……..

‘Niet
vreemd ook’ dat men in de VS figuren als King vermoordt, immers hij
wist mensen op te roepen tot verzet en demonstraties, waarmee hij successen wist te boeken (al was het maar dat de hele wereld kon zien hoe barbaars en onbeschoft de VS omging met de gekleurde bevolking)…… Naast King kregen
anderen die uiterst kritisch staan tegenover de opvolgende VS regeringen (of het
nu democratisch of republikeins is) vreemde ongelukken, ofwel ze werden
vermoord, waar ook het middel ‘suïcide’ werd gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld een persoon
die zich tweemaal door het hoofd schoot….. (fysiek onmogelijk,
zelfs als je niet heel kwetsbare gedeelten van je hersenen raakt….)

Lullig genoeg is er voor de gekleurden in de VS niet veel ten goede gekeerd en als je bijvoorbeeld naar de populatie in de gevangenissen kijkt, staat het er nu nog slechter voor dan ten tijde van Kings laatste dagen……..

What’s the first thing that you think of when you think of Martin
Luther King, Jr.? Perhaps the “I have a dream speech”?

That’s
what we learn about in school. But what was King’s dream at the end
of his life?

It
was to build a massive movement of all poor people, united across
lines of division, challenging conditions of poverty, systemic
racism, and militarism — which sucks our resources into endless
wars. Shortly before he was assassinated, King and many allies
launched the first Poor People’s Campaign.

In
many ways, the first Poor People’s Campaign marked a departure from
the broader civil rights movement up until that point.

For
King, it was a transformation in his thinking from a focus on the
civil rights of African Americans to the human rights shared by all.
It meant no longer addressing racism as an isolated issue, but
instead recognizing that systemic racism, poverty, and militarism are
closely connected. Together they keep people of all races down.

Poverty, Poor People’s Campaign

It
marked a shift from a period of reform to what
he called a period of revolution.
These might sound like radical words — and indeed many people
around King at the time felt that this new campaign was a bit too
radical.

But
King and his allies could see that despite the huge victories of the
civil rights movement, major societal problems still weren’t
resolved. They realized that it would take a broad-based movement
of allstruggling people to change the conditions in our
communities.

In
many ways, conditions are worse now that they were 50 years ago.

According
to a new
Institute for Policy Studies report,
140 million Americans are poor or low-income. Yet 53 cents of every
discretionary tax dollar goes to the military, compared to just 15
cents to fight poverty. Meanwhile, nearly half of all states have
passed laws making it harder for poor people and people of color to
vote.

People
are definitely feeling that in my state of Pennsylvania.

The
most recent State
of Working PA report finds
that the bottom 70 percent of Pennsylvania workers saw their wages
decline between 2009 and 2014, during what was termed the so-called
“recovery.” Pennsylvania is in the top four states for opioid
overdoses, and over 3 million people in our state are living below or
close to the federal poverty line.

Pundits
and politicians like to preach about what we should do to get out of
poverty while blaming us for experiencing it. But they haven’t
explained how it’s possible to have an economic recovery without
things getting better for our families.

If
“the economy” can recover without real people recovering, then
whose economy is it really?

What
can we do about all this? The first thing we can do is to change our
mentality, and drop the shame and stigma that’s associated with not
being able to make ends meet.

The
second thing that we can do is to connect with others. A new Poor
People’s Campaign is being organized to fight back against the war
on the poor today, and it’s coming to over 30 states — including
mine and maybe yours — this spring. To learn more, check

PS:
wij gaan trouwens dezelfde neoliberale kant op als de VS en intussen
leven in ons land 4 miljoen mensen (waaronder 600.000 kinderen) tegen, op of
onder de armoedegrens en dat is in alle 3 genoemde gevallen een leven in
armoede…….. Dit zijn mensen die letterlijk gesproken geen stuiver
meer kunnen missen, maar die jaarlijks met huurverhogingen te maken
krijgen waardoor ze wel degelijk hele euro’s per maand meer moeten
betalen, zelfs als hun huurtoeslag omhoog gaat……. Ook tussen deze
Nederlanders zitten mensen die wel degelijk een baan hebben, maar die
zo laag betaald worden dat ze er niet van rond kunnen komen (waar ze
veelal toch al snel een derde van hun inkomen moeten verwonen, o.a. met
toestemming van de SP…)….

Israëlische terreur: niet alleen het schieten op ongewapende demonstranten, maar ook de vele andere standrechtelijke executies, ofwel moorden op bekende Palestijnen

De
Palestijnse Great Return March die begon bij de ‘Land Day’ op 30
maart jl. en die zal eindigen bij herdenking van al-Nakba op 15 mei
a.s., heeft tot nu toe aan 45 mensen (inclusief 2 journalisten die
duidelijk herkenbaar aan het werk waren) het leven gekost, daarnaast
werden 7.200 mensen gewond (waaronder veel zwaargewonden) door
geweervuur van ‘heldhaftige’ Israëlische sluipschutters….. Kortom het zoveelste
bloedbad van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël…….

De
Palestijnen moet het leven blijvend onmogelijk gemaakt worden en wel zo lang
tot ze ten einde raad besluiten te vertrekken van hun geboortegrond,
waar hun families al honderden jaren hebben gewoond….. Ofwel:
Israël is bezig met een vertraagde etnische zuivering…….

Schieten
op ongewapende mensen, of het executeren van onwelgevallige
Palestijnen is in feite eenzelfde soort handeling, te vatten onder de
noemer standrechtelijke executies (al wordt daaraan voorafgaand
meestal nog een schertsproces gevoerd)……..

Israël maakt zich schuldig aan grootschalige terreur >> hoe lang kijkt de
wereld nog toe voordat het Israël sancties oplegt en haar politieke bestuur, top
van leger en politie worden aangeklaagd bij het Internationaal
Strafhof (ICC) voor:

  • massamoord 
  • misdaden tegen de menselijkheid 
  • het schenden van mensen- en kinderrechten 
  • martelingen 
  • etnische zuivering 
  • oorlogsmisdaden (van het vernielen van infrastructuur tot het bombarderen van huizenblokken)
  • discriminatie (het voeren van een apartheidsbewind)
  • ernstige schending van de persvrijheid (o.a. middels moord) 
  • diefstal van land

Gaza
– Palestine’s Great Return March protests at the Gaza border,
which commenced with the commemoration of Land Day on March 30 and
are set to continue until the Nakba anniversary on May 15, have
propelled Israel’s penchant for killing Palestinians to the fore.
So far, 45 Palestinians have been killed by snipers and over 7,200
injured while demonstrating at
the border for their right to return as enshrined in UN Resolution
194.

As
the launch of the protests drew near, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu announced that over 100 snipers would be placed at Gaza’s
border. The rhetoric used was an attempt to distort the Return March,
which is about rights, into a security concern for Israel, and thus
legitimize, according to Israeli parameters, the killing of unarmed
Palestinians.

Framed
against the Great Return March protests at the Gaza border, Israel’s
Minister of Transport, Road Safety and Intelligence, Israel
Katz, warned that
targeted killings of Hamas leaders would be renewed if attacks are
launched against army commanders at the border.

No
soldiers were harmed at the border. Rather than an empty threat,
Katz’s statement reads as a veiled indication of premeditated
aggression.

A
day later, on Saturday April 21, 35-year-old Palestinian scientist
and Hamas member Fadi Mohammed al-Batsh* was gunned down by two
assassins in the vicinity of his home while on his way to dawn
prayers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Whether the Israeli intelligence
agency Mossad was behind the targeted assassination was neither
confirmed nor denied by Israel.

Last
week, Haaretz reported that
the assassins entered Malaysia by using fake Serbia and Montenegro
passports. It is also speculated that
both assassins absconded to Thailand.

In
response to al-Batsh’s assassination, Israeli Foreign Minister
Avigdor Lieberman attempted to downplay Mossad’s role, stating:

There’s
a tradition at this point among terrorist organizations of blaming
Israel for every settling of accounts.”

Israeli
media, however, promoted the narrative of the colonial state’s
policy of targeted assassinations and indicated the possible
involvement of Mossad, linking al-Batsh’s assassination to his
scientific research by citing a
co-authored paper titled “Challenges of Integrating Unmanned Aerial
Vehicles in Civil Application”. Five days after the assassination,
the Jerusalem
Post ran
an article titled “The
Mossad’s Greatest Hits: From Eichmann to al-Batsh.”
About al-Batsh, the article stated that the modus operandi “may fit
into the Tunisia operation pattern of assassinations of weapons
engineers who are threats to Israel and without leaving a trace.”

The
reference to Tunisia concerned the assassination of aeronautical
engineer Muhammad al-Zawari, who was killed in Sfax in December 2016
outside his home. According to Hamas, Al-Zawari was part of the
resistance movement  and specialized in drone development. A
report by Al
Jazeera had
also stated that al-Zawari had developed the drones used by Hamas in
2014 during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge.

In
al-Zawari’s case, the identified suspects are of Bosnian
nationality. During a press conference organized by Hamas in Beirut,
the movement claimed the targeted assassination was the work of
“Mossad agents carrying Bosnian passports.” Tunisia
is reported to
be in discussions with Bosnia to extradite the suspect, who was
arrested in Croatia in March 2018. The suspect is currently detained
under extradition custody in Croatia, and Bosnia is seeking to impede
his extradition.

A
recently published book by Ronen Bergman, titled Rise and
Kill First: the secret history of Israel’s targeted
assassinations, reveals that over 2,700 operations carried
out by Israel since its inception have been classified as targeted
assassinations. 

An
ambiguous ruling by Israel’s High Court

In
December 2005, Israel’s High Court upheld the
“right” of the state to resort to targeted assassinations, in
response to a petition submitted in 2002 by the Public Committee
against Torture in Israel and the Palestinian Society for the
Protection of Human Rights and the Environment, which argued that the
practice was illegal and violated international law. The petition was
submitted within the context of the Second Intifada, when Israel
embarked upon a series of targeted assassinations of Hamas leaders.

The
concluding remarks of the court judgment ensured that Israel was
allowed to speculate and given the freedom to determine whether or
not a targeted assassination would be permissible:

It
is decided that it cannot be determined in advance that every
targeted killing is prohibited according to customary international
law, just as it cannot be determined in advance that every targeted
killing is permissible according to customary international law.”

Israel
enjoys further impunity in this regard based on the fact that there
is no standard definition of targeted assassinations in international
law. 

A
history of targeted assassinations

Many
targeted assassinations of Palestinian leaders have been attributed
to Mossad. On July 8, 1972, Mossad assassinated Ghassan
Kanafani,
a Palestinian writer and political leader from the Popular Front of
the Liberation of Palestine, by a car bomb in Beirut. His 17-year-old
niece, Lamis, also died in the explosion.

Mossad
is also said to be behind several assassinations of Palestinian
Liberation Organisation (PLO) members. In what was dubbed as
“Operation
Spring of Youth”
in 1973 in Beirut, Mossad raided the flats of three PLO members —
Muhammad Yousef al-Najjar, Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser — and
gunned them down. Adwan’s head was severed from the body as a
result of around 60 bullets fired into his neck.

On
October 26, 1995, Islamic Jihad founder Fathi
Shqaqi was
killed by two assailants in front of the Diplomat Hotel in Sliema,
Malta. Shqaqi was shot five times at point blank range.

In
1997, Mossad poisoned former Hamas leader Khaled Mesha’al in
Jordan. A diplomatic intervention by King Hussein saved his life as
Mossad turned over the antidote.

Since
the Second Intifada, Israel’s targeted assassinations of
Palestinian leaders have shifted towards Hamas. Salah Shehadeh,
leader of Al-Qassam Brigades, was killed on July 23, 2002 in Gaza
City, when the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) dropped a one-ton bomb
onto his house. Fifteen people were killed in the attack.

Sheikh
Ahmed Yassin was murdered upon exiting a mosque on March 22, 2004.
Missiles were fired from an Apache helicopter, killing him and seven
other bystanders.

Mossad
is also said to have been behind the assassination of Mahmoud
al-Mabhouh, one of the founders of al-Qassam Brigades, on January 20,
2010, in Dubai. Tests on blood samples confirmed he was electrocuted.

On
November 14, 2012, Ahmed Jabari, second in command of Hamas’s
military wing, was killed by a drone strike on his car in Omar
Mukhtar Street.

Changing
history by scarring society

In
an interview with
the Times
of Israel,
Bergman states:

I
want to say, that from the very beginning of the state, Israeli
leaders thought that secret operations and assassinations far beyond
enemy lines were a useful tool to change history, or to do something
to reality, without resorting to all-out war.”

The
statement is revelatory on several grounds. Apart from indicating
Mossad’s worldwide operations, it also closes in on two main issues
which are central to the current context of Israel’s resorting to
targeted assassinations. The targeting of individuals who, if allowed
to work in anti-colonial struggle, can embark upon building a
resistance movement that goes beyond mere resilience, should dispel
mainstream depiction of Israel’s aggression on Gaza as “war”.
By Israel’s admission and actions, there is no war, but rather a
premeditated action against a population by targeting individuals who
can contribute to Palestinian security and, as a result, capacity to
further their cause and their rights.

Second,
changing history and reality, as stated by Bergman, can also be
applied to the Gaza context. It is not only the fact that Israel is
choosing strategy over diplomacy, as Bergman says within the context
of his research. Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza are
actively involved in resistance. However, the periodical Israeli
assaults upon Gaza, and Hamas’ attempts to defend the enclave, have
propelled the movement’s visibility when it comes to armed
struggle. The movement also prioritizes education as a revolutionary
goal. During Operation Protective Edge in 2014, Israel directly
targeted higher educational facilities, prompting UNESCO to release a
report documenting the
damage done to infrastructure — 14 educational facilities were
significantly damaged. In addition, 421 students were murdered during
the operation, making up 27.4 percent of Gaza’s death toll.

Eliminating
possibilities of Palestinian resistance

To
eliminate Palestinian resistance, Israel has made it a point to
target segments of Palestinian society, or individuals, that have
potential to develop continuous anti-colonial struggle. It is a
strategic decision for Israel to focus on the link between education
and resistance — hence the high number of students murdered during
Operation Protective Edge, the Palestinian youths murdered by snipers
at the Great Return March, and the targeted assassination of
Palestinian intellectuals and scientists who have the potential to
lead a structured and continuous resistance.

Al-Batsh’s
assassination can be seen as merely another strike against Hamas —
the latest in a series of targeted killings that seek to weaken the
movement’s capacity to develop its own potential for defense in its
limited circumstances.

Yet
it is the limited circumstances that should provoke further insight
into al-Batsh’s assassination. Since 2014, Palestinian Authority
leader Mahmoud Abbas has not ceased calling for Hamas to hand over
complete control of Gaza, including relinquishing armed resistance.
As this appeal was refused repeatedly by Hamas, Abbas retaliated
through sanctions and withholding of financial assistance, piling
further hardships upon the entire enclave that is still reeling from
the damage and displacement as a result of Operation Protective Edge.

There
is no option for Palestinians other than resistance to the
collaborative efforts by Israel and the Palestinian Authority to push
Gaza into an irreversible deterioration. Al-Batsh’s assassination
is part of the former’s plan to reduce the possibilities of
resistance for Palestinians. For Abbas, who has ridiculed resistance
even when Palestinians were being massacred in 2014, the loss of
al-Batsh might trigger other attempts at fostering political disunity
among Palestinians. Apart from the political isolation enforced upon
Gaza, it is the lack of opportunity to develop its military
capabilities further that has derailed resistance. It is clear that
Israel will not take any chances of permitting Hamas to alter the
current implosion. Its view is that, for Israel to survive,
Palestine’s possibilities must be wiped out, whether the means used
are targeted assassinations, sniper fire, or precision targeting of a
civilian population.

Terwijl
de Russische militaire uitgaven jaar na jaar dalen, komt de VS met de
leugen dat ze vanwege de Russische dreiging een nieuwe Atlantische
marine vloot nodig heeft….. De VS doekte deze Atlantische vloot eerder op als overbodig. De top van de VS marine durft te stellen dat er op
marine gebied een wapenwedloop bezig is tussen de VS en Rusland….
Ach ja, als er een groep is die vrijwel altijd liegt, is het de
militaire top van de VS wel! (overigens hier kan men er ook wat van,
neem de roep om de meer dan waardeloze JSF van Lockheed Martin, waar ons vroeg of laat nog
een groot onderzoek staat te wachten naar de uitermate foute, door corruptie en lobbyen tot stand gekomen beslissing voor dit waardeloze, uitermate luidruchtige straalvliegtuig…….)

De
feiten zijn o.a. dat Ruslands vloot ouder en veel kleiner is dan die
van de VS, bovendien zou Rusland geen Atlantische vloot hebben,
alleen een Noord-Atlantische vloot die nabij de Barentszzee is
gestationeerd……

De
schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Jason Ditz heeft het
niet over de wil van de VS om de wereld te beheersen, waar het zelfs
Rusland en China de loef af wil steken. Daarbij past uiteraard een
legermacht die meer moet zijn dan de gecombineerde Russische en
Chinese slagkracht….. Oké dat is die VS legermacht al jaren, er wordt in de VS zelfs veel meer uitgegeven aan oorlogvoering, dan China en Rusland gezamenlijk besteden aan defensie…… Echter voor de wapenfabrikanten (ook ‘hardware fabrikanten’ van marineschepen, straaljagers, raketten en rollend materieel) kan het nooit genoeg zijn, hoe meer ellende op de wereld, hoe meer deze bedrijven en daarmee hun aandeelhouders aan winsten overhouden…..

Kortom
we zijn voorlopig nog niet af van de ongebreidelde VS agressie, beter
gezegd: de grootschalige, niet in te tomen VS terreur……..

As
Russia’s Military Shrinks, US Navy Forms a New Fleet to ‘Counter’

(ANTIWAR.COM) — Russia’s
military spending has been declining in
recent years, and is expected to shrink even more in the next few
years. Despite this, the US seems to have no problem using Russia as
an excuse to keep justifying more military spending. The latest move,
from the US Navy, is
to form an entire new naval fleet.

The
US Second Fleet was dismantled in 2011, both to save money and
because there is realistically no need for them. This fleet, which is
responsible for the US East Coast and the northern Atlantic, is
making a comeback, with Navy officials claiming a “great power
competition” against Russia.

Even
a cursory examination shows this is nonsense. Russia’s Navy is much
older and far smaller than America’s. Moreover, Russia doesn’t
have a fleet in the Atlantic in the first place. The closest thing to
such a fleet would be Russia’s Northern Fleet, in the Barents Sea,
which is focused on the Arctic.

There
is no purpose to forming a new fleet on the American East Coast, to
counter Russia or anyone else. Yet there appears to be no public
debate against doing so. The US Navy knows that Russia can be used to
justify anything, and with President Trump promising to build more
warships, a new fleet fits nicely into the plan to continue the surge
in US military spending.

Je denkt wellicht ‘waarom zou dat niet verboden mogen worden?’ Lullig genoeg echter: de binnenstad van Praag is bepaald niet autoluw, sterker nog: de stad verstikt door het autoverkeer, iets waar het gebruik van de fiets nog enigszins de rem opzette…..

Afgelopen zaterdag berichtte ik al over het feit dat het Pentagon het Congres heeft voorgelogen en dat speciale VS troepen meevechten in Jemen, niet tegen IS
zoals de VS telkens weer durfde te beweren, maar tegen de Houthi
rebellen, die NB IS en Al Qaida in eigen land met succes hebben
bestreden*.

Nu
blijkt ook dat Groot-Brittannië veel meer doet in Jemen, dan de
Britse overheid tot nu toe heeft toegegeven. Dit naast de enorme
leveringen van munitie en militaire hardware aan de reli-fascistrische dictatuur van Saoedi-Arabië, waar de man van May ook
nog eens een smerige rol speelt, hij werkt voor BAE Systems, een Britser ‘hardware wapenfabrikant’, die grote overheidscontracten krijgt en waar de Britse premier voor lobbyt….. Hierdoor stinkt hare kwaadaardigheid May zelf ronduit naar corruptie en vriendjespolitiek…….

Groot-Brittannië
heeft in totaal 7.000 mensen die de moorddadige Saoedische luchtmacht
ter zijde staan bij training van personeel en bij onderhoud plus
bevoorrading (ook met clusterbommen en andere munitie) van door GB geleverd vliegend oorlogstuig……

Hier een artikel van Whitney Webb eerder geplaatst op MindPress News, waar o.a. wordt gesteld dat de oorlog tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen intussen, volgens de VN, 5.500 mensen het leven heeft gekost en waarbij meer dan 9.000 mensen werden verwond…… Uiteraard kan dit cijfer niet kloppen, immers door de bombardementen is de infrastructuur van Jemen voor het overgrote deel vernield, wat onder meer tot een gigantische cholera uitbraak heeft geleid…… Dit nog naast een difterie uitbraak en de honger die al een paar jaar lang aanhoudt in Jemen, duidelijk een gevolg van de illegale oorlog die Saoedi-Arabië tegen het sjiitische volk van Jemen voert en waarbij de VS en Groot-Brittannië de helpende hand bieden……..

UK Personnel Helping Saudi Arabia Bomb Yemen, New Report Reveals

(MPN) — While
criticism leveled against the U.K. government for its involvement in
Yemen has focused on the country’s arms
sales to
Saudi Arabia, newly published government documents reveal that the
U.K.’s complicity in the conflict runs much deeper.

The
documents were made public in a newly published paper titled “UK
Personnel Supporting the Saudi Armed Forces – Risk, Knowledge and
Accountability,”
which provides details as to the real “footprint” of the
estimated 7,000 employees of U.K. contractor companies, civil
servants, and temporarily deployed military personnel currently
aiding the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) and other Saudi security
forces in the waging of their brutal bombing campaign against Yemen.

According
to the UN, that bombing campaign has killed 5,500 civilians
and injured over 9,000 since it began in 2015. It has also targeted
civilian infrastructure,
which has completely collapsed. Among civilian targets have been
hospitals and clinics, whose destruction coupled with the Saudi-led
coalition’s blockade of the country has allowed a “preventable”
cholera epidemic to reach well over
1 million cases.

Written
by researchers Michael Lewis and Katherine Templar, the report –
among other notable findings — revealed that U.K. employees of U.K.
weapons giant BAE Systems have
continued to maintain the weapon systems of U.K. military aircraft
sold to the Saudis, including training and operational squadrons,
throughout the conflict. The forces thus supported include aircraft
directly involved in the bombing campaign targeting Yemen at Taif air
base and elsewhere.

The
basis for the direct and continued involvement of U.K. personnel in
aiding the RSAF comes from a secret government-to-government
agreement first signed in 1986. The agreement — which had never
been seen by the U.K. Parliament, or published until the release of
this report — includes secret support clauses for U.K.-manufactured
aircraft that commit U.K. personnel to the “arming and support”
of those aircraft during active armed conflict, regardless of whether
the conflict is “lawful” or directly involves the U.K.

The
documents also show that the commitment was made by the U.K.’s
Ministry of Defense against the advice of officials from the U.K.
Foreign Office.

The
report further details that U.K. employees stationed in Saudi Arabia
are essentially gagged from reporting wrongdoing or war crimes. It
notes that U.K. workers who have sought to whistleblow on alleged
crimes have been routinely harassed and, in some cases, denied the
related protections ostensibly available to them under U.K.
employment and whistleblowing laws.

The
documents also show that the commitment was made by the U.K.’s
Ministry of Defense against the advice of officials from the U.K.
Foreign Office.

The
report further details that U.K. employees stationed in Saudi Arabia
are essentially gagged from reporting wrongdoing or war crimes. It
notes that U.K. workers who have sought to whistleblow on alleged
crimes have been routinely harassed and, in some cases, denied the
related protections ostensibly available to them under U.K.
employment and whistleblowing laws.

Maintaining
Government Blinders

In
addition, Lewis and Templar’s research revealed that the U.K.’s
policy aimed at avoiding the possible misuse of U.K.-supplied arms
has been circumvented. That policy, which normally involves the
case-by-case scrutiny of transfers of licensable military equipment
to Saudi Arabia, has been avoided in some notable cases by the use of
a “whitelist” system that allows the U.K. government to remain
conveniently ignorant of what types or quantities of military
equipment U.K. companies sell to the Saudis.

It
also prevents the U.K. government from knowing where that military
equipment ultimately ends up — which is particularly troubling,
given that the Saudi government has been known to
funnel weapons to
terrorist groups on
several occasions.

Another
related, and equally troubling, finding of the paper is that U.K.
citizens aiding the RSAF are still involved in the handling of
cluster munitions, which the Saudis continue
to use in
Yemen despite their use being banned by more than a hundred
countries. While BAE systems implemented a “pull-back” of its
employees from directly handling such munitions in 2008, reports from
technicians and aircraft armorers cited in the paper allege that this
“pull-back” was incomplete and that U.K. personnel are still
present – and participate – in their use.

Though
testimony proved this to be the case during the
2009-2010 Yemen conflict,
the lack of public knowledge of the practice makes it likely that it
has continued throughout the current Saudi-led bombing campaign in
Yemen. The use
of cluster munitions by
the Saudis has caused great suffering in Yemen, as they spread
ordnance over a wide area and pose a long-term danger to civilians
because many of them fail to detonate upon impact. In some cases,
Yemeni children have
discovered unexploded
cluster bombs and taken them home, mistaking them for harmless
objects only to have them detonate soon after.

Lucrative
Arms Sales vs. Humanitarian Responsibilities: No Contest

Further
information provided in the report suggests that the U.K. government
is deliberately avoiding its responsibility to report on possible
violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Though government
officials had argued before the U.K. High Court that the government’s
arms-export officials take IHL risk into consideration based on
information from Minister of Defense personnel, liaison officers and
BAE Systems employees, the report found that there is, in fact, no
Ministry of Defense guidance on possible IHL violations to U.K.
military officials or personnel involved in Saudi Arabia.

This,
combined with the “whitelist” system and BAE’s incomplete
“pull-back” of direct involvement in the use of deadly cluster
munitions, suggests that elements of the U.K. government have sought
to hide its involvement in the Saudi-led bombing campaign and its
associated war crimes in order to protect the U.K.’s lucrative arms
sales to the Saudi government.

The
U.K. government’s attempts to protect weapon sales to the Saudis
are unsurprising given the numerous ties that BAE Systems, which
holds a “near-monopoly
position”
in the U.K. defense industry, has to the U.K. political
establishment. Chief among these ties is BAE’s link to U.K. Prime
Minister Theresa May, whose husband and close political adviser,
Philip May, works for the Capital Group, BAE’s
largest shareholder and
thus the largest beneficiary of the company’s arms sales abroad.
