Ontving afgelopen week een petitie van het Care2 team, een bericht dat ik te lang heb laten liggen, daar de klimaatconferentie in Polen vandaag de laatste dag ingaat. Al zou er nog langer onderhandeld worden, daar er zoals gewoonlijk weer geen maatregelen zullen worden voorgesteld die er echt toe doen. Mijn excuus voor het laten liggen van deze petitie.
In een verontrustend ‘Carbon Majors Report’, opgesteld door het Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) en het Climate Accountability Institute (CAI), wordt gesteld dat 100 bedrijven verantwoordelijk zijn voor 71% van de wereldwijde CO2 uitstoot……
Niet moeilijk te raden wie de belangrijkste bedrijven zijn die voor de enorme uitstoot aan CO2 zorgen: de oliemaatschappijen en de grote kolenboeren van de VS en Australië.
Lullig toch dat zelfs het Care2 team zich laat ringeloren met cijfers die al lang zijn achterhaald, zo haalt dit team het cijfer van 4 graden Celsius aan als stijging van de temperatuur op aarde tegen het eind van deze eeuw, als de komende 28 jaar de uitstoot hetzelfde blijft. Terwijl duidelijk is dat die 4 graden zelfs gehaald zal worden als we vandaag alles uit de la zouden halen en de uitstoot drastisch zouden verlagen………
Dit is uiteraard fantasie, het meest lullige is wel dat de grootste vervuilers mogen deelnemen aan de klimaattop in Polen, terwijl de groepen van milieu activisten als Greenpeace, maar voor een heel klein deel aan mogen zitten bij de besprekingen, precies zoals dit tijdens de klimaattop van Parijs het geval was….. Destijds mochten de grote vervuilers voor iets meer dan 90% van de tijd meedoen aan de besprekingen, terwijl milieu ngo’s voor een kleine 6% mochten aanzitten……
Niet verder gezeurd, elke actie op dit gebied dient gebruikt te worden, lees en teken daarom de petitie ajb vandaag nog en geeft het door, actie op terugdringing van de CO2 (en methaan*) uitstoot mag niet meer uitgesteld worden!

100 Companies Cause 71% Of Emissions. Demand Immediate Changes Before
It’s Too Late!
Per
the bombshell Carbon
Majors Report,
prepared by the environmental non-profit CDP and the Climate
Accountability Institute, a
staggering 71 percent of all carbon emissions since 1988 can be
traced back to only 100 corporations, most of which are fossil fuels
producers. Even
more alarming, half of all global industrial emissions can be traced
to just 25 corporate and state-owned entities.
If
emissions continue at the same rate for the next 28 years as they
have for the last 28 years, global average temperatures would rise by
4 degrees Celsius by the end of the century, resulting in
catastrophic consequences for civilization, including:
the
inundation of coastal cities;
increasing
risks for food production potentially leading to
higher malnutrition rates;
many dry regions becoming dryer and wet regions wetter;
unprecedented
heat waves in
many regions, especially in the tropics;
substantially
exacerbated water scarcity in many regions;
increased
frequency of high-intensity tropical cyclones;
irreversible
loss of biodiversity,
including coral reef systems.
These
100 companies, of which ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips,
Hess, Murray
Coal,
and Chesapeake Energy Corp are a part, are a clear and present danger
to civilization, and action
must be taken at once to ensure that average global temperatures do
not pass the point of no return.
Our
top priority – not just as Democrats or Republicans, or even
Americans, but humans – should be to transition to 100 percent
clean, renewable energy, to end our use of fossil fuels, to curb meat
consumption, to protect and expand forests, and to eliminate our
carbon footprint. Of course, even all of those actions will be
useless if the corporations responsible for the vast majority of such
dangerous emissions do not act now.
We,
the undersigned, demand that immediate action be taken. The future of
this planet depends on it and time is quickly running out.

* Methaangas is één van de sterkste broeikasgassen en komt in grote hoeveelheden vrij in de intensieve martelveehouderij (in ons land goed voor het jaarlijks groot en doodmartelen van 500 miljoen dieren!!)…. Voorts komt er steeds meer methaangas vrij door het ontdooien van de permafrost, dit werkt cumulatief, dus hoe meer methaangas (en CO2) er vrijkomt, des te sneller stijgt de wereldtemperatuur, waardoor er nog meer methaangas vrijkomt, daardoor ontdooit er nog meer permafrost, enz. enz. Juist het cumulatieve effect zorgt ervoor dat de temperatuur de 1,5 of 2 graden Celsius stijging (zoals afgesproken in Parijs) aan het eind van deze eeuw ver zal overstijgen…… Onlangs werd bekend gemaakt dat de ijsmassa op Groenland in een schrikbarend tempo verdwijnt, ook dat doet de temperatuur verder stijgen….. Als de totale ijsmassa op Groenland is verdwenen zal de zeespiegel met zo’n 7 meter stijgen, ofwel een groot deel van Nederland zal onderwater komen te staan, ook zal dit de kans op grote overstromingen en orkanen aanjagen……
De bevolking van Irak leeft nog steeds
onder dreiging van, moord en doodslag, nadat de VS en haar
bondgenoten in 2003 een illegale oorlog tegen hun vader/moederland
begonnen…….. Deze oorlog heeft tot nu toe aan meer dan 1,5
miljoen Irakezen het leven gekost, ofwel ze zijn in feite vermoord
door de westerse terreurcoalitie waar godbetert ons land aan mee
heeft gewerkt*, zelfs al in aanloop van die oorlog….
Alsof de ellende voor het Iraakse volk
al niet ‘meer dan voldoende is’, hebben de lokale bedrijven van de grote farmaceuten in Irak besloten
de prijzen te verhogen en niet een klein beetje ook…… Grote
farmaceuten uit Europa en de VS besloten de prijzen van medicatie soms
wel drie keer in prijs te verhogen……
Deze farmaceuten zijn goed voor een
wereldomzet van rond de biljoen dollar per jaar, maar blijkbaar maalt
men er daar niet om als mensen overlijden terwijl er in feite
goedkope medicijnen zijn te krijgen voor de aandoeningen waar de patiënten aan lijden……
Moet je nagaan: deze farmaceuten
schermen keer op keer met het cliché dat de ontwikkeling van
medicijnen nu eenmaal uiterst kostbaar is, terwijl in de prijs die wordt
berekend ook de marketingskosten zijn meegerekend, die zijn gemiddeld
30 keer zo hoog als de ontwikkelingskosten van het bepaalde nieuwe
medicijn……
Het kan nog gekker beste bezoeker, deze
georganiseerde farmaceutische misdadigers zijn al vele malen in het
nieuws geweest, daar ze oude medicijnen met een kostprijs van soms
maar 20 cent per pil, verkopen voor meer dan 100 euro (sommigen
met een prijs van onder de euro, kosten nu zelfs meer dan € 200,–
per pil!!!) Over die ‘oude medicijnen’: het farmatuig gaat tegenwoordig al zover, dat ze voor het aflopen van een patent, een kleinigheid aan de ‘formule’ veranderen, zodat het medicijn niet patentvrij nagemaakt mag worden……
Je snapt dat met specialistische
medicijnen, zoals die voor kanker, de prijzen helemaal door het dak
gaan……. Gevolg is dat niet alleen in Irak, maar in vele landen, zelfs in de VS, mensen nodeloos sterven daar ze zich, vanwege hun inkomen, de benodigde medicatie niet kunnen veroorloven……….
De hoogste tijd dat farmaceuten grondig worden aangepakt i.p.v. verdedigd door de reguliere westerse media en politiek. Afgelopen week hoorde ik BNR’s petrolhead en volvette oliebol van Werven de farmaceuten nog verdedigen, met het al eerder genoemde volledig versleten cliché dat ze zoveel moeten investeren in nieuwe medicijnen……..
De grote farmaceuten zouden zelfs door het Internationaal Strafhof vervolgd moeten worden voor het moedwillig in levensgevaar brengen en zelfs vermoorden van grote groepen mensen, daar ze hen de benodigde medicijnen ontzeggen door belachelijk hoge prijzen voor goedkope medicatie te berekenen, terwijl deze farmaceuten al schathemelrijk zijn….. Waar het wereldwijd oplichten van klanten door de grote farmaceuten, althans vergeleken met het voorgaande, nog maar een ‘lichte misdaad’ is…..
In het volgende artikel van Middle East Monitor (MEMO) wordt gesproken over de farmaceuten in Irak die samen met ‘mensen’ in de politiek de prijzen van bepaalde medicijnen onbetaalbaar hebben gemaakt voor veel Irakezen, echter het is toch wel verdomd opvallend dat hetzelfde mechanisme over praktisch de hele wereld zo werkt…….. En dan nogmaals: de meest belangrijke medicijnen komen tocht echt van de grote westerse farmaceuten, die uiteraard ook in Irak medicatie produceren, dan wel importeren………. Dezelfde farmaceuten die er niet om malen een politicus om te kopen voor nog meer gewin op de al enorme winsten……. (er zou eens een onderzoek ingesteld moeten worden hoeveel de farmaceutische maffia besteedt aan het bewerken van de politiek middels lobbyen, reken maar dat dit een niet ‘misselijk’ bedrag is…..)

Scores
of Iraqis are dying because they cannot afford prescription medicines
which are being kept high, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported
yesterday.
According
to the news site, prices are being kept high by people who have links
to executives in the Iraqi government and control the medicine
market. This has left the Ministry of Health unable to make urgent
medicines affordable such as those for cancer, kidney, heart and
nerve diseases.
Most
of the firms producing medicines in Iraq are connected to
politicians, government officials or other executives in the country
who protect them when they raise prices, Al-Araby
Al-Jadeed said, noting that some of the medicines, which
used to be offered to patients for free, are being sold for $200.
Speaking
anonymously to the London-based news website, an official in the
Iraqi Ministry of Health said that prices of some of the medicines
are being multiplied three times.
“Citizens
are obliged to buy the medicines because there are no alternatives at
hospitals,” the official said.
He
added: “There are pharmaceutical companies considered the mafia …
as they control the pharmaceutical sector, prevent the resumption of
work in factories which produce the medicines and put pressure on the
Ministry of Health in order to prevent imports of certain medicines
by the government.”

Hoorde gistermorgen op BNR een verslag van Mario Verbeek, plaatsvervangend commandant van de luchtstrijdkrachten, over het helikopterongeval in Mali op 17 maart 2015, waarbij de twee inzittenden om het leven kwamen.
Gezeur over wie er nu gelijk had met de berichtgeving over dit ongeluk, daar de Groene Amsterdammer er een artikel over publiceerde. Gezeur daar de één spreekt over een fout tijdens onderhoud en de ander het houdt op een fout die werd gemaakt tijdens de fabricage…
Beste bezoeker na het volgende droop de koffie weer eens naar beneden van de ruiten in huize Azijnpisser: volgens Verbeek mogen dit soort helikopters alleen in de VS worden gerepareerd……. Lachen past zeer zeker niet, maar hoe is het in godsnaam mogelijk dat we peperdure helikopters kopen, waar men zelf niet aan mag komen…… Dit zet trouwens nog eens grote vraagtekens bij eerdere berichten over een tekort aan materieel in Mali om de helikopters in de lucht te kunnen houden, zoals we een paar jaar geleden te horen kregen……
Trouwens, ook de kosten voor reparaties en onderhoud zullen niet misselijk zijn, als de helikopters voor reparaties en/of onderhoud eerst moeten worden getransporteerd naar de VS en na de nodige reparaties (en/of onderhoud) terug moeten worden vervoerd naar Nederland……. Hoe kan je daar in godsnaam mee akkoord gaan??!!!
Waarom mogen we niet aan die helikopters komen? Is dat omdat de VS er apparatuur in heeft laten bouwen, waarmee de helikopters niet op kunnen stijgen als de missie de VS niet aanstaat??
Degenen die hebben beslist deze helikopters te kopen, dienen strafrechtelijk te worden vervolgd (zoals dit wat betreft de beslissing voor de JSF ook zou moeten gebeuren*), immers het is wel duidelijk dat voor de handtekeningen onder dit contract fikse beloften zijn gedaan door de fabrikant en het Pentagon……. (het Pentagon bemoeit zich volkomen ten onrechte altijd met nieuwe aankopen van vliegend oorlogstuig voor onze luchtmacht, alleen dat feit stinkt al een uur in de wind…)
Verbeek verdedigde de aankoop en de voorwaarden zelfs, volgens hem weet men zo zeker dat het onderhoud of onderhoud goed gebeurt…. (wat maar zeer de vraag is, gezien het ongeluk in Mali) Alsof men geen hulp zou kunnen krijgen bij reparaties vanuit de VS, dat kan zelfs middels Skype verbindingen!!
Het is ronduit een schande dat het ministerie van Defensie, uh Oorlog, helikopters koopt die verscheept moeten worden naar de VS voor onderhoud….. Te zot voor woorden!!!
* De JSF is naar huidige maatstaven geen straaljager, daar het zware lawaai onding te langzaam, klimt, rent en wendt, het toestel kan zich nog net meten met de 70er jaren straaljager A-10 Thunderbolt…… Bovendien kan de JSF door de VS op afstand aan de grond worden gehouden, als het gebruik van deze peperdure misser het Pentagon niet aanstaat……. Daarnaast is het stealth systeem van de JSF al gekraakt door de Russen en hebben de Chinezen zelfs blauwdrukken van dit waardeloze toestel…….

Johnstone heeft zich over de berichtgeving van de massamedia gebogen
en zet een aantal feiten wat betreft de reguliere (massa-) media op
een rij, waarbij ze tot verrassende inzichten komt.
Als
eerste buigt Johnstone zich over de vraag waarom journalisten van de
reguliere media in ‘vrije democratieën’ (‘een beetje dubbelop’) zich gedragen als hun collega’s van staatsmedia
propagandisten. Waarom gedragen ze zich als betrouwbare
vertegenwoordigers van de gevestigde orde en waarom wordt elk idee
gemarginaliseerd dat niet past in wat op een bepaald moment als een
correcte gedachte wordt gezien? (en dat kan op zeer grove manier
gebeuren, zie de smerige en uiterst valse berichtgeving over de Britse Labour leider Jeremy Corbyn door de reguliere
media waar ook de BBC deel van uitmaakt, al kan je die
‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’ als staatsomroep onder een dictatuur zien)
Waarom worden
mensen die de gevestigde orde bekritiseren altijd door de
media veroordeeld? Waarom worden ‘fouten’ in een land dat
buiten de invloedssfeer en de macht van de gecentraliseerde VS-alliantie valt, zo kritisch
becommentarieerd door de reguliere (westerse) media, terwijl fouten binnen die alliantie worden vergeven, of veelal zelfs niet worden genoemd?
Volgens
Johnstone zijn er maar twee verklaringen voor die unanieme instemming
van de reguliere media op die onderwerpen:
Die
instemming bestaat omdat die media altijd de waarheid zouden vertellen, of
die instemming bestaat omdat er een systeem is ontstaan, waarin de
journalisten van de reguliere media ons voorliegen en een vals beeld
schetsen van wat er gebeurt in de wereld.
Volgens
Johnstone zijn dit de enige mogelijkheden, waarbij ze de eerste
uiteraard afwijst, immers als deze media altijd de
waarheid vertellen, zouden deze media niet de leugens herhalen over bijvoorbeeld de oorlogen in Vietnam en Irak, ofwel dan zou het afslachten van
miljoenen op grond van leugens niet zijn verdedigd in die media………
Eén en ander betekent overigens niet dat de grote reguliere media alleen maar liegen, immers dan zou men de klanten snel verliezen, nee men brengt natuurlijk ook echt nieuws, naast halve waarheden, verdraaide feiten en de al genoemde leugens.
Lees het
artikel van Johnstone, zij legt deze zaak duidelijk uit, waarna de
conclusie wordt getrokken dat de media inderdaad aan de leiband lopen
van plutocraten of fondsen van aandeelhouders (oké dat was al
bekend, maar Johnstone geeft het geheel handen en voeten). Voorts meldt Johnstone ten overvloede nog eens dat de CIA al sinds de 50er jaren van de vorige eeuw bemoeienis heeft met de reguliere (massa-) media in de VS…….
How
Plutocratic Media Keeps Staff Aligned With Establishment Agendas
Why
do mainstream media reporters within ostensibly free democracies act
just like state media propagandists? Why are they so reliably
pro-establishment, all throughout every mainstream outlet? Why do
they so consistently marginalize any idea that doesn’t fit within
the extremely narrow Overton window of acceptable opinion? Why does
anyone who inconveniences western establishment power always find
themselves on the losing end of a trial by media? Why are they so
dependably adversarial toward anything that could be perceived as a
flaw in any nation outside the US-centralized power alliance, and so
dependably forgiving of the flaws of the nations within it?
The
way I see it there are only two possible explanations for the
unanimous consensus in mass media on these issues:
Explanation
1: The
consensus exists because the mass media reporters are all telling the
truth all the time.
OR
Explanation
2: The
consensus exists because there is some kind of system in place which
keeps all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false
picture about what’s going on in the world.
Those
are the only two possibilities, and only one can be true, since any
mixture of the two would result in the loss of consensus.
Most
mainstream westerners harbor an unquestioned assumption that
Explanation 1 is the only possibility. The things they see on CNN,
the BBC and the ABC are all accurate descriptions of what’s really
going on in the world, and the consensus in their descriptions exists
because they’re all describing the same objective reality.
But
what would that mean exactly? Well, for starters if the mainstream
media reporters are telling us the truth all the time it would mean
that the same power institutions which slaughtered millions in
Vietnam and Iraq for no good reason are actually virtuous and honest.
It would mean the positive, uncritical picture that is consistently
painted of those same institutions which wage
nonstop campaigns of bloodshed and
oppression to ensure the profit of economic manipulators and war
profiteers is due to those institutions possessing merits which are
overall so positive that no criticism of them is needed. It would
mean that the status quo of climate destruction, steadily growing
wealth inequality, an increasingly Orwellian surveillance system, an
increasingly militarized police force, increasing internet
censorship, and crushing neoliberal austerity measures are all things
people voted for using the excellent democratic political system the
mainstream media defends, based on the accurate information the
mainstream media gave them about what’s in their best interests.
Explanation
1 sounds improbable in that light. We know that the system is
spectacularly screwed up, and we know that the political
establishment which these mainstream outlets always defend does
unforgivably evil things, so we should expect to see a lot more
critical reporting and a lot less protecting of the status quo. But
we don’t. We see war crimes ignored, oppression justified, the
two-headed one-party system normalized, dissident narratives smeared
as fake news conspiracy theories, and unproven assertions by
government agencies with a known history of lying reported as
unquestionable fact.
But
that leaves only Explanation 2. How could that be right?
This
partof
a 1996
interviewbetween
Noam Chomsky and the BBC’s Andrew Marr describes a foundational
element of Explanation 2: that there is a system in place which
ensures that all the reporters in positions of influence are there
not to report factually on the news of the day, but to sell a
particular narrative that is friendly to the state and the status
quo. Chomsky describes a “filtering system” which ensures
that only those loyal to power rise to the top within the
plutocrat-owned media, to which Marr objects and insists that his
peers are brave truth-tellers who hold power to account.
Subsequently, the following exchange takes place:
”Chomsky:
Well, I know some of the best, and best known investigative reporters
in the United States, I won’t mention names, whose attitude towards
the media is much more cynical than mine. In fact, they regard the
media as a sham. And they know, and they consciously talk about how
they try to play it like a violin. If they see a little opening,
they’ll try to squeeze something in that ordinarily wouldn’t make
it through. And it’s perfectly true that the majority – I’m
sure you’re speaking for the majority of journalists who are
trained, have it driven into their heads, that this is a crusading
profession, adversarial, we stand up against power. A very
self-serving view. On the other hand, in my opinion, I hate to make a
value judgement but, the better journalists and in fact the ones who
are often regarded as the best journalists have quite a different
picture. And I think a very realistic one.
Marr:
How can you know that I’m self-censoring? How can you know that
journalists are..
Chomsky:
I’m not saying your self censoring. I’m sure you believe
everything you’re saying. But what I’m saying is that if you
believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where you’re
sitting”.
“If
you believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where
you’re sitting.”
It
is an obvious fact that mainstream media outlets are
owned by the extremely wealthy,
as has been the case for a very long time. Owning media is in and of
itself a profitable investment, “like having a license to print
your own money” as Canadian television magnate Roy Thomson once
put it.
So when it comes to the news media outlets which form people’s
perceptions of the world, what incentive would a powerful plutocrat
have to platform anti-establishment voices on those outlets and help
sow ideas which upset the status quo upon which said plutocrat has
built his empire? It certainly wouldn’t make him any more money,
and if anti-establishment ideas like socialism, anarchism,
non-interventionism or skepticism of government agencies gained
popular footing in public consciousness, it could upset the
foundation of the plutocrat’s dynasty and cause him to lose
everything.
Plutocrats
have put a lot of energy into influencing government policy in order
to create legislation which ensures the continued growth of their
wealth and power. A whole lot of maneuvering has had to happen over
the course of many years to create a political system wherein
government bribery is legal in the form of campaign finance and
corporate lobbying, wherein deregulation of corporations is the norm,
wherein tax loopholes are abundant and tax burdens are shifted to the
middle class, wherein money hemorrhages upward to the wealthiest of
the wealthy while ordinary people grow poorer and poorer. What
incentive would these powerful oligarchs have to risk upsetting that
delicate balancing act by helping to circulate ideas which challenge
the very governmental system they’ve worked so hard to manipulate
to their extreme advantage? And how many incentives would they have
to keep everyone supporting the status quo?
How
hard would it be to simply decline to give anti-establishment voices
a platform, and platform establishment loyalists instead? How easy
would it be for a wealthy media owner or influential investor to
ensure that only establishment loyalists are given the job of hiring
and promoting editors and reporters in a mainstream media outlet?
Every blue-checkmark MSM journo on Twitter is auditioning for a job. All they’re actually tweeting is “Look at me, current or future employer! I will smear Julian Assange! I will help sell the Russia narrative! I’ll say Corbyn is an antisemite!” And the MSM bosses pay attention.
If
you’ve ever wondered what motivates all those blue-checkmarked
corporate media journalists to spend so much time on Twitter
defending the powerful and attacking the disempowered, this is your
answer. They spend their own free time smearing Jill Stein, calling
Jeremy Corbyn an antisemite, attacking Julian Assange, supporting
longtime neoconservative war agendas against Russia, Syria and Iran
and uncritically reporting intelligence agency assertions as fact not
because there’s a CIA officer hovering over their shoulder at all
times telling them exactly what to tweet, but because they’re
auditioning for a job. They’re creating a public record of their
establishment loyalism which current and future employers will look
at when weighing hiring and promotion decisions, which is why both
journalism schools and journalism employers now
encourage journalists to cultivate a social media presence to
“build their brand”, i.e. their public resume.
So
it’s very easy to fill mass media jobs with minds which are not
predisposed toward rocking the boat. A pro-establishment consensus is
artificially built, and now you’ve got an environment where someone
who stands up and says “Uh, hey, so we still haven’t seen any
actual hard evidence that Russia interfered in the US election in any
meaningful way” or whatever is instantly greeted by a wall of
shunning and shaming (observe Aaron
Maté‘s
interactions with other journalists on social media for a good
example of this), which can be psychologically difficult to deal
with.

Anyone
who’s ever gone to high school can understand how powerful the
social pressures to seek peer approval and fit in can be, and anyone
who’s ever worked a normal job anywhere can understand the natural
incentives that are in place to behave in a way that is pleasing to
one’s bosses. In any job with any kind of hierarchy, you quickly
learn the written rules, and you pay close attention to social cues
to learn the unwritten ones as well. You do this in order to learn
how to avoid getting in trouble and how to win the approval of your
superiors, to learn which sorts of behaviors can lead to raises and
promotions, and which behaviors will lead to a career dead-end. You
learn what will earn you a pat on the back from a leader, which can
be extremely egoically gratifying and incentivizing in and of itself.
It
works exactly the same way in news media. Reporters might not always
be consciously aware of all the pro-establishment guidelines they’re
expected to follow in order to advance their careers, but they know
how the reporters who’ve ascended to the top of the media ladder
conduct themselves, and they see how the journalists who win the
accolades behave. With the help of editors and peers you quickly
learn where all the third rails and sacred cows are, and when to shut
your mouth about the elephant in the room. And for those rare times
that all these filtration devices fail to adequately filter out
dissident ideas, you see the example that gets made of those few who
slip between the cracks, like CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill for
his defense
of Palestinian human rights or
Phil Donahue for his opposition
to the Iraq invasion.

So
plutocrats own the mass media and platform status quo-friendly
voices, which creates an environment full of peer pressure to conform
and workplace pressure to advance establishment-friendly narratives.
Add to this the phenomenon of access
journalism,
wherein journalists are incentivized to cozy up to power and pitch
softball questions to officials in order to gain access to them, and
things get even more slanted. It’s easy to understand how all this
can create an environment of consensus which has nothing to do with
facts or reality, but rather with what narratives favor the
US-centralized empire and the plutocrats who control it. But all
those dynamics aren’t the only factors going into making sure a
consensus worldview is maintained. Remember that hypothetical CIA
officer I mentioned earlier who isn’t actively leaning over every
journalist’s shoulder and dictating what they tweet? Well, just
because he’s not dictating every word produced by the mass media
machine doesn’t mean he’s not involved.
Secretive
and unaccountable government agencies have an extensive and
well-documented record of involving themselves with news media
outlets. It is a known and undisputed fact that the Central
Intelligence Agency has been intimately
involved in America’s news media since the 1950s,
and it remains so to this day. In 2014 it was a scandal when reporter
Ken Dilanian was caught collaborating
with the CIA in
his publications, but now veterans of the US intelligence community
like John Brennan and James Clapper openly
fill out the line-up of
talking heads on MSNBC and CNN. Just recently the Guardian published
a lie-filled smear piece on Julian Assange which was
almost certainly the resultof
the outlet’s collaboration with one or more intelligence and/or
defense agencies, and when that article caused an outcry it was
defended as the likely result of Russian disinformation in an
evidence-free article by a CIA veteran who was permitted to publish
anonymously in Politico.
The Washington
Post is
solely owned by Jeff Bezos, who
is a CIA contractor,
and who we may be certain did not purchase the Post under the
illusion that newspapers were about to make a lucrative comeback.
Secretive government agencies are deeply involved in the workings of
western news media, in many ways we know about, and in far more ways
we don’t know about.
Taking
all of these factors into consideration and revisiting Explanation 1
and Explanation 2 from the beginning of this article, it should be
obvious to you that the most logical explanation for the uniform
consensus of support for pro-establishment narratives in the mass
media exists because there is indeed a system in place which keeps
all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false picture
about what’s going on in the world.
This
doesn’t mean that these news media outlets lie about everything all
the time, it means they mostly provide half-truths, distortions and
lies by omission whenever it benefits the agendas of the powerful,
which is functionally the same as lying all the time. I sometimes get
people telling me “Caitlin! The MSM lies all
the time,
and they say global warming is real! That means it’s false!” But
it doesn’t work that way; if the TV tells you a celebrity has died
then it’s probably true, and if they say it’s about to rain you
should probably roll up your car windows. If they lied about
everything all the time they would instantly lose all credibility,
and their ability to propagandize effectively would be lost. Instead,
they advance evidence-free narratives asserted by opaque government
agencies, they avoid highlighting inconvenient truths, they ignore
third parties and dissident ideas except to dismiss them, they
harshly criticize the misdeeds of governments which oppose the
US-centralized empire while sweeping the misdeeds of imperial members
under the rug, and when there’s an opportunity to sabotage peace or
support war, they seize it. They distort only when they have to, and
only as much as they need to.
In
this way the powerful have succeeded in controlling the people’s
narratives about what’s happening in their country and their world.
This is the system of narrative manipulation we are up against when
we try to sow dissident ideas into public consciousness, and as the
old adage goes, it is easier to fool people than to convince them
that they have been fooled.
And
yet we are gaining ground. The manipulators have been losing control
of the narrative, which is why the mass media have been acting
so weird and desperate since 2016.
The unelected power establishment failed to manufacture support for
its would-be Syria invasion, it failed
to get the publicto
buy into the Russia hysteria, trust in the mass media is at
an all-time
low,
and it’s continuing
to plummet.
More and more people are waking up to the fact that they are being
lied to, which is good, because the only thing keeping them from
pushing for real change is the fact that there are all these screens
in everyone’s lives telling them that real change isn’t needed.
The
liars are against the ropes, and they’re starting to look winded.
A populist

Moet je
nagaan, dan zijn er in Nederland en in de meeste andere NAVO landen
anders dan de VS, figuren die stellen dat we veel te weinig uitgeven
aan defensie, waarbij ze naar de VS wijzen, er niet bij vertellend
dat de VS de laatste 17 jaar continue in illegale oorlogen was
verwikkeld, waarbij de NAVO, haar eigenlijke bevelhebber, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, t.w. de
VS steunt in haar ongebreidelde en smerige terreur……
Het
voorgaande is nog maar één voorbeeld, waaruit duidelijk zou moeten
zijn dat de VS een achterlijk godsvermogen aan belasting uitgeeft
voor illegale oorlogsvoering…….. Als we een voorbeeld aan de VS moeten
nemen, hoort daar ook een uitermate slechte boekhouding bij, immers
de VS is o.a. door die boekhouding al honderden miljarden kwijtgeraakt in de loop van de
jaren…… (ook wapenleveranties aan terreurgroepen in Syrië werden niet verantwoord in de boeken, ofwel die fouten in de boekhouding zijn voor een groot deel expres gemaakt….) Overigens als ons oorlogsapparaat efficiënt zou worden
geleid, zou ook Nederland vele miljoenen kunnen besparen…..
Echter
het meest valt te verdienen door niet meer deel te nemen aan de
terreur van de VS, zoals Nederland dat deed in: -Afghanistan, een
totaal zinloze illegale oorlog, -Irak, een illegale oorlog waarin tot nu toe
NB meer dan 1,5 miljoen mensen zijn vermoord….., -Libië, eens het
rijkste en meest vooruitstrevende land van Afrika, nu straatarm, gedompeld
in terreur, waar godbetert openlijk slaven worden verkocht en waar als resultaat nu ook Mali is veranderd in oorlogsgebied, waar Nederland ook al een rol speelt (die stopt op 1 januari a.s.) en
als laatste -Syrië, al evenzeer in puin gebombardeerd, waar de VS al
vanaf 2006 bezig was met de voorbereiding van de opstand die tot het
afzetten van de democratisch gekozen president Assad had moeten
leiden……… Tijd dat iemand eens uitrekent hoeveel de Nederlandse belastingbetaler in totaal heeft bijgedragen aan de ongebreidelde VS terreur.

PENTAGON
ACCIDENTALLY REFUELED SAUDI JETS OVER YEMEN FOR FREE

– Amid
a push by the Senate to vote on ending US support for the Saudi-led
coalition waging war in Yemen this week, a new report indicates that
American tankers have been refueling Saudi coalition jets with gas
paid for by US taxpayers because of “errors in accounting.”
Millions
of dollars have likely been drained from US coffers
to support the Saudi-campaign, according to the report.
Though
Washington “believed” Riyadh and the United Arab Emirates “had
been charged for the fuel and refueling services, they in fact
had not been charged adequately,” wrote William S. Castle,
principal deputy general counsel at the Office of the
Secretary of Defense, in a November 27 letter obtained
by The Atlantic.
In
the letter, one of the Pentagon’s top attorneys acknowledges
that free refueling services for the Saudi coalition cost more
money than he could calculate. While one might think that
someone at the 3 million-person organization that is the
Pentagon would know exactly how much the US is owed, Castle said
in the letter that the department is “currently calculating
the correct charges.” The Pentagon reached its conclusion
following an inquiry sent by Senator Jack Reed, a Democrat
from Rhode Island who sits as the second most powerful
member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Tens
of millions of dollars is probably a decent estimate of how
much US taxpayers have contributed to the Saudi campaign,
according to The Atlantic.
A
spokesperson from the Pentagon confirmed the letter’s contents
and its authenticity to the publication late last week.
“Although
DoD has received some reimbursement for inflight refueling
assistance provided to the Saudi-led coalition (SLC), US Central
Command recently reviewed its records and found errors in accounting
where DoD failed to charge the SLC adequately for fuel and
refueling services,” said Commander Rebecca Rebarich, speaking
to The Atlantic.
A
spokesperson for CENTCOM specifically said the command was
“still working through the calculation” of how much the
Saudi coalition has paid for the refueling services and jet
fuel.
In
other military finance news, the Pentagon failed its first-ever audit
last month, as accountants found myriad discrepancies in the
department’s books that may take years to reconcile. “We
failed the audit, but we never expected to pass it,”
said Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan.
Ontving gisteren een mail van One.org waarin werd gemeld dat vandaag 27 regeringsleiders van EU-lidstaten bij elkaar komen om te spreken over het EU budget voor de komende 7 jaar.
De volgende tekst vond ik prominent in m’n mail:
“Morgen komen de 27 staatshoofden van de EU in Brussel bijeen om het volgende zeven jaren budget van de EU te bespreken – een cruciale stap in de onderhandelingen. Hét moment om aan premier Rutte te laten zien dat we hem volgen, en aan hem duidelijk te maken dat we een toekomst zonder extreme armoede eisen”.
Kortom One.org kan heel goed met gewone armoede leven, terwijl 8 mannen evenveel bezitten als de helft van de wereldbevolking…… Terwijl we in een wereld leven waarin managers en de top van grote bedrijven een auto rijden tegen een maandbedrag dat een groot deel van de Nederlanders (en in het groot van de wereldbevolking) niet eens kan opbrengen voor de huur van een dak boven het hoofd……..
Armoede moet en kan makkelijk de wereld uit, echter dat wordt juist door de welgestelden, grote bedrijven en hun lakeien in de politiek tegengehouden…… Hoe is het mogelijk dat EU landen nog steeds voedsel tegen afbraakprijzen mogen dumpen op de wereldmarkt, zodat boeren in arme landen brodeloos worden? (en zijn geworden, zie wat dat betreft ook de visserij en de Somalische piraten >>) Hoe is het mogelijk dat de grote westerse vissers de kusten van arme landen leegvissen, waar kleine vissers in arme landen hun brood moeten verdienen (en waardoor velen van hen ook brodeloos zijn geworden)?
Hoe is het mogelijk dat het westen niet stabiele arme landen volpropt met wapens, terwijl de wapenfabrikanten zich helemaal scheel verdienen met de opbrengsten van de in feite door hen gezaaide dood en verderf?
Waarom wordt er vanuit het westen altijd gerept over corruptie in arme landen, terwijl deze corruptie wordt gecultiveerd door westerse bedrijven, die in die landen mensen tegen slavenlonen laten werken en daar de boel precies zo mogen vervuilen als hen zelf goeddunkt? Hoe is het mogelijk dat grote westerse bedrijven in arme landen middels corruptie over grote arealen aan landbouwgrond kunnen beschikken, waar de oorspronkelijke kleine boeren van hun land worden gesodemieterd middels corrupte deals van grote westerse bedrijven met de machthebbers* (ofwel: ‘gelegaliseerde’ landjepik)?
Revolutie is het enige antwoord tegen het onnoemelijk lijden van de wereldbevolking en revolutie is voorts belangrijk om echt iets te kunnen doen om de stijging van de wereldtemperatuur nog enigszins af te remmen…. (als we dat aan overheden en bedrijven overlaten zal de boel echt spaak lopen) Echter een revolutie zal er voorlopig niet komen en ik vrees ook op de lange duur niet, immers de machthebbers, bedrijven en welgestelden zullen dat tegen elke prijs willen voorkomen.
Daarover gesproken: het voorkomen van revoluties wordt met de innovaties van huidige i-techmaatschappij steeds makkelijker…. De overheid kan je nu al voor een groot deel controleren vanaf dat je opstaat tot dat je naar bed gaat, dit middels je smartphone en computer, plus het enorme aantal camera’s in de openbare ruimte (en zelfs nog terwijl je slaapt, althans als je de smartphone naast je bed hebt liggen.. Een paar jaar geleden werd bekend gemaakt dat zelfs de smartphone van de Duitse premier Merkel werd gehackt door de NSA)…
Met drones zo klein als insecten kunnen in de toekomst niet alleen ieders stappen worden gecontroleerd, maar kan men ook eenvoudig voor het fascistische neoliberale systeem ‘gevaarlijke mensen’ (mensen die nadenken en dat aan de buitenwacht laten weten) uitschakelen en wel op een manier waarop een arts alleen maar een natuurlijke dood kan vaststellen…….
Beste bezoeker ik hoop dat ik ongelijk heb en men toch in opstand kan en zal komen tegen:
standrechtelijke executies van verdachten (middels drones)
willekeur
hebzucht,
de macht van bedrijven en banken
milieu vervuiling (waar de luchtvervuiling alleen in Nederland al meer dan 18.000 mensen vroegtijdig doet overlijden en dat na een akelig ziekbed….)
de doodsindustrie die men ‘vleesindustrie’ noemt
en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan.
* De reguliere westerse media kunnen er maar geen genoeg van krijgen >> China demoniseren, omdat China ook gebruik maakt van landbouwgronden, mijnen e.d. in arme landen. Waar China nog het fatsoen heeft om deze landen te helpen met de modernisering van de infrastructuur. Men doet daar in de reguliere westerse media en politiek zeer laatdunkend over, terwijl de westerse bedrijven die in arme landen werkzaam zijn, verder niets doen om de economie te stimuleren….. (dat zou dan ‘ook niet’ in het belang zijn van die bedrijven, immers als het economisch goed gaat in een land, gaan als eerste de inkomens omhoog…..)
Vanmiddag na 16.00 u. (CET) op BBC World Service radio het programma HardTalk met presentator Steven Sackur. Vandaag sprak deze regeringsgetrouwe plork met de Pakistaanse minister van financiën Asad Umar.
Weer eens flink fanatiek ging Sackur tekeer tegen Umar, bijvoorbeeld over de financiële hulp van Saoedi-Arabië en China aan Pakistan. Uiteraard begon Sackur over de moord op journalist Khashoggi en verweet hij de minister zaken te doen met S-A…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Groot-Brittannië doet al decennia zaken met S-A, vooral wapenzaken wapens die de Saoediërs hebben gebruikt (en gebruiken) om enorme bloedbaden aan te richten, niet alleen in eigen land tegen de sjiitische bewoners, maar ook in Jemen….. De Saoedische terreurcoalitie voert zelfs een genocide uit tegen de sjiitische bewoners van Jemen, waarbij het land gebruik maakt van Britse wapens, munitie, plus Brits rollend, varend en vliegend oorlogstuig…….
Jammer dat Umar van het laatste niet op de hoogte was, of wist van de Britse training van Saoedische militairen, iets wat Sackur even later Pakistan verweet……. Gelukkig dat Umar nog wel stelde dat het westen ondanks Khashoggi nog steeds geld verdient aan Saoedi-Arabië….. Daarop stelde Sackur dat wanneer Trump op dat moment voor hem had gezeten, hij hem ook aan de tand zou voelen over winsten behaald met handel op S-A…… Alsof GB zelf niet nog steeds geld verdient aan S-A, oh ja dom van mij, dat geld komt van contracten die al werden afgesloten voor Khashoggi’s dood en zeg nou zelf, de dood van Khashoggi is veel erger dan de genocide in Jemen, al meer dan 3 jaar gaande en waar elke 10 minuten een kind sterft, ‘ja toch..??’
Misschien wel het meest belachelijke was wel de kritiek van Sackur op de ondervoeding van kinderen in Pakistan en de algehele armoede daar……. Elke dag gaan er in GB meer dan 4 miljoen kinderen met honger naar school, daar hun ouders zelfs het geld ontbreekt om een ontbijt te kunnen betalen en dat in een heel rijk land, zeker vergeleken met Pakistan!!! Heel jammer dat Umar daar niet van op de hoogte was……
Sackur is een trouwe lakei van het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberalisme, waar hij de grootschalige Britse neokoloniale terreur (als schoothond van de VS) in Afghanistan, het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika altijd heeft gesteund……. Wat een smerige hypocriet, gadver!!
Begrijp me goed, ik ben bepaald geen aanhanger van de huidige of eerdere Pakistaanse regeringen, maar GB heeft in het verleden niet anders gedaan dan steun verlenen aan de ene na de andere Pakistaanse dictator of corrupte democratisch gekozen heerser……. Bovendien maakt het Britse bedrijfsleven, zoals andere westerse bedrijven, maar al te graag gebruik van de corruptie in Pakistan, ze koesteren deze corruptie zelfs, daar het de winsten snel doet groeien…..
Sackur moet de oren van z’n kop schamen!!!
Oh ja, nog vergeten: Sackur had ook commentaar op de Chinese investeringen in Pakistan, uiteraard gaat dit ten koste van Britse bedrijven, waar China meteen de infrastructuur in een Pakistaanse provincie aan zal pakken, iets wat westerse landen en bedrijven niet doen……
De terreur van het Israëlische leger tegen Palestijnen kent geen grenzen meer. Uiteraard is deze terreur opgeschroefd nadat de VS besloot haar ‘ambassade’ (een klein deel daarvan) te verplaatsen naar Jeruzalem, gevolgd door het voornemen van Brazilië, Guatemala en Honduras hetzelfde te doen….. Bovendien weet Israël zich gesterkt door Oostenrijk, Hongarije, Roemenië en Tsjechië, die in tegenstelling tot andere EU landen, wel aanwezig waren bij de ceremoniële opening van de VS ambassade in Jeruzalem…….
In een laffe aanval heeft het Israëlische leger het kantoor van het Palestijnse nieuws en informatie agentschap (WAFA) in Ramallah, op de West Bank, kort en klein geslagen…….
Afgelopen zondag werd een groep illegale Joodse bewoners van een al even illegale nederzetting op de West Bank onder vuur genomen (waarschijnlijk door Palestijnen), waarbij zes van hen gewond raakten. Men denkt dat de uiterst laffe overval op WAFA daar alles mee te maken heeft. De laffe psychopaten van het Israëlische leger waren duidelijk op zoek naar beeldmateriaal, zo blijkt o.a. uit het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Anti-Media, die het overnam van Middle East Eye (MEE)……
Ook dit geval maakt nog eens duidelijk dat Israël helemaal geen vreedzame oplossing wil van het ‘Palestijnse vraagstuk’ (zoals nazi-Duitsland ooit sprak over de oplossing van het Joodse vraagstuk….). Israël is overduidelijk bezig het leven voor de Palestijnen zo moeilijk te maken, dat deze mensen vanzelf vertrekken naar een bestemming buiten Israël (ofwel een vorm van etnische zuivering), al geldt dit nu alleen voor de West Bank, uit de Gazastrook zouden Palestijnen niet meer mogen vertrekken….. Zoals de Joden niet mochten vertrekken uit het getto van Warschau tijdens WOII…….
Met de massamoord op Palestijnen in de Gazastrook, werden ongewapende Palestijnen neergeschoten door scherpschutters van het Israëlische leger….. Het voorgaande tijdens de nog steeds plaatsvindende demonstraties van de Palestijnen onder de naam de Great Return March, demonstraties die nog steeds elke vrijdag plaatsvinden en waarbij telkens weer ongewapende Palestijnen worden vermoord….. Deze Palestijnen werden en worden NB aan ‘de Palestijnse kant’ van de grens met Israël neergeschoten…….
Die massamoorden ontlokten bij de Nederlandse minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, zijne VVD hufterigheid en leeghoofdigheid Blok, de uitspraak dat dit wel wat ver ging, ofwel als Israël bij wijze van spreken ‘maar’ 10 mensen had neergeschoten, was dit nog wel binnen de perken geweest, ook al waren die 10 dan niet bewapend…… (de woorden van Blok kwamen op een vraag, nadat er meer 50 ongewapende Palestijnen waren vermoord door het Israelsiche leger……)
(een eerder voorval waarbij ‘heldhaftige’ psychopaten een weerloze Palestijn in elkaar schoppen, waarna deze in de cel van een militaire gevangenis overleed)
De protesten op die massamoorden van Palestijnse kant vond Blok niet verstandig, daar het niet past in het vredesproces……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja, ik weet het, dit bericht is niet om te lachen, maar hoe kan een minister in godsnaam zo’n achterlijke redenering in het openbaar doen??!!! Immers het is keer op keer Israël dat bloedbaden aanricht onder de Palestijnen….. Hoe hoog het dodental ligt in de Gazastrook sinds de protesten in maart raakten er volgens zeggen meer dan 20.000 gewonden…..
Hoewel Blok zijn uitspraak nog redelijk vroeg tijdens de protesten deed, heeft hij daarna nooit de Israëlische ambassadeur op het matje geroepen, ook al laat Israël overduidelijk zien totaal niet geïnteresseerd te zijn in vrede met de Palestijnen, iets dat Blok zogenaamd wel belangrijk vindt………
Terug naar de Israëlische overval op het WAFA kantoor: Israël heeft met deze overval nog eens duidelijk gemaakt de Palestijnse autoriteit niet te erkennen…… Daarnaast wordt hiermee ten overvloede door Israël aangegeven de Palestijnse gebieden als de hare te zien…… Bovendien is het duidelijk dat Israël kritiek op haar fascistische apartheidsbeleid niet langer pikt, zoals het ook in het buitenland tekeergaat tegen mensen die volkomen terecht kritiek hebben op het bloedige beleid van Israël, waarbij critici worden uitgemaakt voor antisemieten en ze worden vermoord als Israël de kans krijgt……..
(MEE) — Israeli
troops have raided the offices of the Palestinian News & Info
Agency (WAFA) in the occupied West Bank, injuring several
journalists.
The
soldiers fired tear gas into WAFA’s building in Ramallah on Monday,
preventing the staff from leaving or returning to their offices, the
news agency reported.
It
said a number of journalists sustained injuries, including teargas
inhalation, during the raid, while Israeli troops also pushed and
shoved two photographers and hurled profanities at them.
WAFA
said the Israeli army confiscated security camera footage from the
building during the incident.
The
army has not yet commented on the purpose of the raid.
On
Sunday, a group of Israelis were shot at a bus stop next to a
settlement in the occupied West Bank. Six people were wounded, the
Israeli army said.
In
a statement on Monday, it said it was searching nearby villages for
the perpetrators.
It
was unclear if the WAFA raid was connected to the shooting.
‘A
blatant violation’
Mobile
phone footage posted on the news agency’s website showed five
Israeli soldiers inside the WAFA newsroom, telling employees to open
the door to a room. In the footage, someone can be heard saying, “The
cameras are in there”.
Another
video posted on WAFA’s website showed Israeli soldiers throwing
tear gas canisters and firing their guns while perched behind a wall
in the agency’s yard.
The
Palestinian journalists’ union condemned the Israeli raid as “a
blatant violation committed by the occupation army against all
Palestinian media”.
The
Palestinian foreign ministry also condemned the raid, calling it a
new episode in Israel’s “open war” against the Palestinian
people and their media outlets, which the ministry said aims to hide
Israeli crimes and abuses.
Israeli
soldiers were also seen elsewhere in Ramallah on Monday, demanding
that Palestinian business owners hand over their security camera
footage.
Soldiers
fired tear gas at Palestinian protesters throughout the day, and WAFA
said Israeli troops used its office balconies to target
demonstrators.
Two
Palestinians were injured by live fire, a Palestinian medical
official said.

Wanneer je in de VS een bekend persoon bent als Lennon, JFK, MLK of RFK met veel invloed en je stelt je op als zoals deze mensen dat hebben gedaan, bevind je je uiterst snel in de kijker van de CIA en de FBI, waarna je in levensgevaar verkeert……
Al deze
moorden zijn dan ook toe te schrijven aan de CIA (niet zelden in samenwerking met de FBI), die voor dit soort
en andere zaken die verborgen moeten blijven, samenwerkt met de
georganiseerde misdaad (immers daar heeft men ‘de neiging’ de mond te
houden).
Voorts
zijn degenen die meestal opvallend snel na zo’n moord worden aangewezen als
dader, van te voren bewerkt door de CIA en/of andere geheime diensten.

25 year old ex-camp counselor and janitor flies from Hawaii to New
York City, stays in five star luxury hotels (ex. The Waldorf
Astoria), flies to Georgia, back to New York City and then back to
Hawaii.
Back
in Hawaii, he tells his wife he planned to kill John Lennon, hands
her the gun he planned to use and then tells her that he changed his
mind.
Then
he flies back to New York City and with no known marksmanship
training and an avowed aversion to guns shoots and kills John Lennon.
Makes
a lot of sense, doesn’t it?
Disappearing
material witnesses and evidence
The
media sure made the wife disappear and Chapman’s psychiatrist too.
Did
you even know Chapman was married? (What kind of chick marries and
stays with a dude like this?)
Did
you even know Chapman had been under a psychiatrist’s care for
years leading up to the shooting? Whoever he was (and whatever
methods he was using), the public never got his name. Funny how that
works – over and over again.
Lennon’s
autopsy has never been released though an “autopsy report” was
stating he died of shock and loss of blood.
A
big show was made of the fact that Chapman traveled to Georgia (!) to
buy hollow point bullets because he could not buy ammunition in NYC
(WTF? He never heard of Pennsylvania just an hour and a half away by
Greyhound bus?)
Wikipedia
disinformation
The
Wikipedia article about Chapman claims he worked with refugees
through the “YMCA” at Ft. Chafee in Arkansas and that he did
“similar” work in Lebanon. This is BS cubed. He worked for the
CIA front World Vision.
Amazingly,
two years before he visited NYC, this then young twenty-something
year old janitor took a world tour which brought him to Tokyo, Seoul,
Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Delhi, Israel, Geneva, Paris and
London…in 1978 as a 23 year old…when air fares were sky high…and
kids didn’t get credit cards.
Give
me a fucking break. The official story about this guy as reinforced
by the slime balls at Wikipedia is pure fantasy.
A
CIA/Mob collaboration
Chapman
is probably a brainwashed patsy who thinks he shot Lennon.
He
probably even pointed a gun. (Note: Chapman spent a lot of time
working at a hospital “alone in the printing department”, the
same hospital that treated him after he attempted suicide.)
There
was, quite possibly, another shooter there who got the job done and
just calmly walked away as professional hit men do.
Who
pulled the trigger?
Well,
when the CIA wants to kill people overseas, it uses Special Forces.
When it wants to kill them at home, it often uses the Mob with whom
it has had a long and fruitful relationship. (They used to know how
to keep their mouths shut and provide a kind of “farm team” to
locate world class domestic trigger pullers.)
The
New York Mob was very familiar with the “use a lunatic as a patsy”
routine. They had in fact used the method just a few years earlier in
the murder of Joe Colombo when a street hustler was given a gun and
pushed into the crowd just as Colombo was shot. The street person,
Jerome Johnson who was hired that day by sources unknown to
photograph Colombo, was shot dead on the spot. No investigation. No
bullet check.
RFK
was killed by similar means when a mind control subject was put
several feet in front of Kennedy firing a pistol wildly while the
killing shot came from close range behind Kennedy.
Misdirection.
It’s a old magician’s trick made easier with the chaos of gunfire
and bloodshed.
Anyway,
the odds that the media (i.e. CIA) cover story of this murder
happened the way they claimed are very, very, very slim.

Stansted 15 hebben
geen geweld gebruikt en blijkbaar vindt men een dergelijke geweldloze actie in Groot-Brittannië een daad van terreur……. Waar deze groep zou moeten worden geprezen voor de juiste, niet gewelddadige inzet!
De deportaties vinden plaats zonder enig toezicht van mensenrechtenorganisaties en te vrezen valt dat mensen met grof geweld worden uitgezet, zeker gezien de voorbeelden uit het verleden (overigens ook door onze overheid….). De veiligheidsbeambten die de vluchtelingen vanuit GB begeleiden staan bekend om het gebruik van grof geweld…… Om de publieke opinie niet tegen zich te krijgen zorgt de Britse overheid ervoor dat de deportaties van vluchtelingen altijd midden in de nacht plaatsvinden…….
Niet alleen in Groot-Brittannië, maar overal
worden de strafeisen en straffen van dit soort activisme opgeschroefd, echter dit slaat wel alles van wat we hebben meegemaakt, althans in de westerse wereld………
Te vrezen valt dan ook dat na het uitspreken van de straf op 4
februari 2019, men ook elders nog zwaarder zal gaan straffen…….
Het zal
toeval zijn, maar het is wel opvallend dat de strafeis tegen de Stansted 15 net na het meer dan lamme overleg in Marrakech over ‘de vluchtelingencrisis’werd
uitgesproken, een overleg wat leidde tot het volkomen overbodige Marrakech pact…… Een pact waar geen rechten aan kunnen worden ontleend, maar
waarbij men weer eens publiekelijk de handen in het bloed van
duizenden omgekomen vluchtelingen heeft gewassen…….
Daar er in het Marrakech pact een aantal keren werd gesproken over het tegengaan van vluchtelingenstromen, is de kans levensgroot dat regeringen zich achter dit pact zullen verschuilen, als zij weigeren vluchtelingen op te nemen……..
Nergens in het Marrakech pact wordt gesproken over het tegengaan van vluchtelingenstromen, door westerse landen te veroordelen die illegaal oorlog voeren tegen landen in het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika, oorlogen geleid door de VS met hulp van haar NAVO partners, waar de VS in feite het opperbevel heeft over diezelfde NAVO……..

stuurt men mensen terug die grote kans lopen vermoord te worden,
zoals een lesbische vrouw, wiens man al heeft gezegd haar te zullen
opwachten na deportatie, hoogstwaarschijnlijk om haar te
vermoorden……… Om nog maar te zwijgen over de vluchtelingen die teruggestuurd worden naar Afghanistan en Irak, omdat Buitenlandse Zaken met rammelende rapporten (ambtsberichten) komt die stellen dat men veilig is in die landen…….
De verantwoordelijken voor illegale oorlogen die vluchtelingenstromen op gang brachten en brengen, die bovendien het gore lef hebben vluchtelingen te weigeren, zouden terecht moeten staan wegens ernstige mensenrechtenschendingen
en het moedwillig in levensgevaar brengen van mensen…….. Verantwoordelijken van landen die in feite direct schuldig zijn aan de dood van de vele duizenden die in de Middellandse Zee en de Egeïsche Zee zijn verdronken! Zoals je al had begrepen zijn de verantwoordelijken voor de enorme vluchtelingenstromen de VS en andere NAVO-lidstaten (inclusief Turkije), met hulp van Saoedi-Arabië, de Golfstaten, Egypte en Marokko.
De hoogste tijd dat het Internationaal Strafhof wordt uitgebreid en zich meer gaat roeren in de media met beschuldigingen aan het adres van bijvoorbeeld de VS en de andere NAVO-lidstaten!
Hoe is het mogelijk dat mensen die zich inzetten voor mensenrechten en die de dood van vluchtelingen willen voorkomen, worden aangeklaagd door het Britse openbaar ministerie, een ministerie dat tegelijkertijd geen actie onderneemt tegen het elders illegaal oorlogvoeren (één van de ergste vormen van terreur!) door haar eigen overheid, waardoor alleen deze eeuw al 2,5 miljoen mensen zijn vermoord…….

ACTIVISTS
WHO STOPPED DEPORTATION FLIGHT CONVICTED OF TERRORISM CHARGE, FACE
LIFE IN PRISON
United
Kingdom (NM) – A
group of 15 activists who prevented a deportation charter flight from
leaving Stansted airport by locking themselves together around the
aeroplane have been found guilty of a terrorist offence.
The
so-called Stansted 15 spent nine weeks on trial charged with an
offence that has never been used before in response to a non-violent
direct action and carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
They
were convicted by a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday 10
December and will be sentenced on 4 February 2019.
Ben
Smoke, who was arrested after being cut away from the front wheel of
the aeroplane, said the guilty verdict would have “huge
ramifications on the ability of people to engage in what is a very
long tradition of direct action in this country”.
The
27-year-old told Novara Media:
“I’m
obviously terrified for myself, terrified for what the future holds,
but more than that I’m terrified about how we carry on fighting a
government that just won’t listen, how we carry on fighting a
government that has been proven to be so disgusting and despicable
every way you turn.
“You
look at the UN report that came out recently that said that austerity
is a choice, they have made a choice to kill 120,000 people, if we’re
in a situation where we can’t fight that how do we go on? How do we
carry on? How do we change our society?”
The
activists, from campaign group End
Deportations,
were originally charged with criminal damage and aggravated trespass
after the action on 28 March 2017, offences too small to warrant
trial by jury and carrying a maximum of just three months in prison.
The prosecution later sought special permission to add an additional
charge of “endangering safety at an aerodrome”, a terrorism
offence created in response to the 1988
Lockerbie bombing,
in which 270 people died.
They
stood accused of putting the safety of the airport and passengers at
risk and causing serious disruption to international air travel for
taking part in the non-violent direct action, in a move Amnesty
International described as
“using a sledgehammer to crack a nut”. The human rights
organisation, which observed the trial for its duration, was
concerned that the severe and unprecedented charge may have been
brought in order to discourage other activists from taking
non-violent direct action in defence of human rights.
Labour’s
Shadow Attorney General Shami Chakrabarti condemned the verdict on
Monday, pointing out that it coincided with the 70th anniversary
of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“What
a sad International Human Rights day, when non-violent protestors are
prosecuted for defending the Refugee Convention, and are treated like
terrorists,” she said . “Labour in Government will review the
statute book to better guarantee the right to peaceful dissent.”
End Deportations@EDeportations
The #Stansted15 have been convicted under terror-related legislation – for preventing an unjust and barely legal deportation flight.
Smoke
said he believed the verdict could violate “the contract of
our democracy” by obstructing channels that should be available for
everyone to demand change.
He
referenced the harsh sentences given to the suffragettes when they
used direct action to challenge laws preventing women from voting in
the early 20th century and said he feared the outcome of the Stansted
15 trial would have the same deterrent effect. “These people
are people who were denigrated at the time and now are being heralded
as heroes,” he said. “I’m not for a second trying to put us in
that category but what they then experienced… imprisonment and
being force fed, really, really meant that it became a harder thing
to do to take a direct action to try and change the society you live
in and to try and make society better… that’s what I’m
terrified of seeing coming out of this action.”
Wearing
pink bobble hats, hi-vis vests and jumpers emblazoned with the words
“mass deportations kill, no one is illegal”, the coalition of
activists from End Deportations, Plane
Stupid and Lesbians
and Gays Support the Migrants,
chained themselves to a plane set to deport 60 people to West Africa
on 28 March 2017 and stopped it from taking off.
In
protesting against the injustices of the UK border and immigration
system, the group focused their efforts specifically on the issue of
mass deportation charter flights on account of the flights being the
hardest form of deportation to individually resist. End Deportations
campaigners argue
that the flights were
introduced by the government for that very reason.
Activist
Helen Brewer explained that the group spent months considering
the best and safest way to blockade the flight. “After coaches
arrive from detention centres they go into a private car park,” she
said, “then you have the crew coming down from their hangar to
ready the plane. So [we knew we had to act] before the coaches drive
from the car park to the plane to board people… So that’s what we
did.”
Strategically,
Brewer said, it made sense to target the aeroplane itself because
people may be taken from all over the country to be deported on a
charter flight, “but there’s only one plane”.
Deportations
used to take place on regular commercial flights. But when passengers
and pilots started to object on moral and political grounds, the Home
Office changed tack and begun chartering deportee-only planes.
Shrouded
in secrecy, these planes leave from undisclosed locations in the
middle of the night. By doing this, they are more insulated from
public opinion and the kind of reputational pressures that
caused Virgin
Airlines to announce it
would no longer assist the Home Office with forced deportations.
Notorious
for their violence,
the only people on the flights are deportees and security guards.
With no independent monitoring or documentation of what takes place
on the way to the airport, during the flight or after landing, deaths
in transitare not unknown.
At
the heart of the group’s decision to take action was the desire to
protect vulnerable people from the myriad violences of the UK border
regime.
In
her closing statement, Mel Evans, one of the defendants who
represented herself throughout the trial, said about the action:
“This
was never about politics. It was always about people. We wanted
people to be safe… And now some of them are safe, and they’re
able to be with their families and be with the people they love. And
that’s all we were trying to do.”
One
manifestation of this violence is in the way the flights themselves
are enacted. Chains and restraints are commonly used to subdue
passengers, sometimes even fatally. In 2010, 46-year-old Jimmy
Mubenga died of suffocation after
being pinned down in his seat by G4S security guards, despite already
being handcuffed from behind with his seatbelt on.
Beyond
the immediate danger of being on the plane, there is also the issue
of the potential further violence awaiting passengers when they
arrive in the country they are being deported to. Addressing the
jury, Evans read the testimony of one of the passengers on the
flight:
“[There]
was a lesbian woman who was terrified of what would happen if she saw
her ex-husband: ‘[He] said he knows I am being deported next week.
He is waiting for me. He is planning to kill me. I don’t want to go
on that plane. I can’t go. I am begging.’”
But
this is far from an isolated incident. According to Brewer, “a
deportation happened on Tuesday to Nigeria and Ghana. This was one
flight we stopped out of thousands.” Using this logic, each of
these individual acts of violence is connected – part of what Luke
de Noronha, aspokesperson
for the End Deportations campaign, described
as “the
architecture of racialised border violence”.
‘WITHOUT
THEIR ACTIONS I WOULD HAVE MISSED MY DAUGHTER’S BIRTH’
Out
of the 60 people set to be deported on the flight, 11 are still in
the UK as a result of the action. Two out of those 11 now have
indefinite leave to remain and four have been referred to the
National Referral Unit For Human Trafficking. Five are still waiting
for their appeals to be heard.
Kevin*,
one of the passengers on the flight, was set to be deported to Ghana
where he lived up until his late teens. He has since been
granted leave to remain.
As
a young child, Kevin was left in the care of his abusive father after
his mother moved to England, but once he had finished school in the
mid 2000s, he was finally able to join her in London.
In
the UK he successfully applied for indefinite leave to remain.
However, this was revoked after he received a criminal conviction. As
a result of the loss of his immigration status, he faced deportation
and with it, the prospect of being forced to leave behind his
elderly mother, pregnant partner and children.
For
Kevin, the impact of the action was life-changing. He said:
“For
me a crime is doing something that is evil, shameful or just wrong –
and it’s clear that it is the actions of the Home Office that tick
all of these boxes. The Stansted 15 were trying to stop the real
crime being committed.
“Without
their actions I would have missed my daughter’s birth, and faced
the utter injustice of being deported from this country without
having my [now successful] appeal heard.
“My
message to them today is to fight on. Your cause is just and history
will absolve you of the guilt that the system has marked you with.”
Indeed,
current government policy is widely known as ‘deport first, appeal
later’. An asylum decision-maker for the Home Office
recently described
the process as
a “lottery” in which “pushy managers [tried to drive] results
through fear and intimidation.”
‘EVERYDAY
IS A FIGHT IN THE COURTROOM’
The
nine week trial began on 1 October 2018 at Chelmsford Crown Court in
Essex, during which seven of the 15 gave evidence. Despite
allowing the defendants to give their political reasons for the
action during the trial, Judge
Christopher Morgan ruled that
they could not rely on the defence that they acted to stop human
rights abuses. However, one of the lawyers for the defence, Mr
Wainwright, described
them as
having “a real and genuine concern for the sanctity of human life”.
Throughout
the trial, the prosecution repeatedly deployed anti-immigration
rhetoric in
discussing the case. A “fence” became “a protective membrane”
– there to stop unknown foreign bodies from passing through. While,
in his closing speech, lawyer for the prosecution Tony Badenoch QC
repeatedly referred to the activists as a “swarm” – a
denigrative metaphor routinely deployed by right
wing media and politicians in
the migration debate.
Listening
to the prosecution without being able to defend themselves was a
constant source of frustration for the group. Speaking to Novara
Media shortly before the trial ended, Brewer said:
“We
have to be in court usually from ten until four everyday, in a
windowless courtroom, under fluorescent lights, sitting silently in
the dock. [We] can’t speak except through [our] barristers and [we]
have to listen to someone talk about [us] and…what we did and
interrogate that and really smear that and present to the jury
something that most of us completely disagree with. It’s hard. And
it’s hard when you’re constantly battling; everyday is a fight in
the courtroom.”
Following
Morgan’s summing up on 4 December, the
Guardian has
reported that barristers defending the 15 argued the jury should be
discharged because the judge’s final words were so severe they
amounted to a direction to convict.
The
length of the trial, combined with the threat of life in prison, has
had a negative impact on the mental and emotional health of the
group.
Activist
Laura Clayson said she had been prescribed anti-anxiety medication as
a result of the stress of the trial. “Given that it’s been
nearly 19 months since we took action, 15 since the charge was
escalated to endangerment, and we have only just come out the other
side of the trial, I haven’t even begun to be able to start
processing or unpacking it,” she said. “Living with such
uncertainty and precarity makes life incredibly difficult and it has
been hard to function normally, to think ahead or plan anything. The
trial has always been there, looming over us.”

The
15 activists intend to fight the conviction. In a statement released
after the verdict was announced the group said:
“We
are guilty of nothing more than intervening to prevent harm. The real
crime is the government’s cowardly, inhumane and barely legal
deportation flights and the unprecedented use of terror law to crack
down on peaceful protest. We must challenge this shocking use of
draconian legislation, and continue to demand an immediate end to
these secretive deportation charter flights and a full
independent public inquiry into the government’s ‘hostile
environment’.”
“Justice
will not be done until we are exonerated and the Home Office is held
to account for the danger it puts people in every single day. It
endangers people in dawn raids on their homes, at detention centres
and on these brutal flights. The system is out of control. It is
unfair, unjust and unlawful and it must be stopped.”
The
guilty verdict marks a huge blow to the landscape of UK activism at a
time when there has been a concerted effort to clamp down on the
right to protest. From today’s guilty verdict, which itself was
only made possible by the use of an unprecedented terrorism charge,
to the jailing of the so-called Frack
Free Fourearlier
in the year, the future of non-violent direct action in the UK
is far from certain.
Kate
Allen, Amnesty International UK’s Director said:
“It’s
deeply disturbing that peaceful protesters who caused disruption but
at no time caused harm to anyone, should now be facing a possible
lengthy prison sentence. This whole case will send a shiver down the
spine of anyone who cares about the right to protest in our country.
Around the world, human rights defenders are coming under increasing
attack. The UK should not be bringing such severe charges against
those who seek to peacefully stand up for human rights.”
Meanwhile,
the End Deportations campaign will continue its fight to abolish
deportations and detention centres and end the violence of the UK
border regime.
In
November, women in Yarl’s Wood detention centre again went
on hunger
strike to
protest against their indefinite detention, describing the experience
of living in Britain’s only female detention centre as a form of
“hell”. It is clear that activists like the Stansted 15 are vital
in resisting the UK border regime alongside those who feel the full
force of its violence.
