Vanmorgen luidde oud Den Haag wethouder, de grote sloper van sociale huurwoningen, Marnix ‘normalisatie’* Norder de noodklok over het grote aantal probleemgevallen die worden gehuisvest in de goedkoopste woningen, ofwel in sociale huurwoningen die nog wel te betalen zijn……..
Volgens Norder, de topgraaier van Aedes, de overkoepelende organisatie van woningcorporaties, is de leefbaarheid in ‘probleemwijken’ het kind van de rekening en vertrekken gezinnen met kinderen uit die wijken, waardoor de leefbaarheid nog verder achteruitgaat……..
Waar je Norder niet over hoort is de sloop van een enorm aantal sociale huurwoningen die de laatste 28 jaar heeft plaatsgevonden in de grote steden…… Steden als Den Haag, waar Norder één van de hoofdverantwoordelijken is voor die sloop en het veel te klein aantal nieuw gebouwde ‘sociale huurwoningen’. (tegen prijzen die niet vallen onder het begrip ‘sociaal…’)
Naast deze sloop heeft de landelijke overheid ook een fikse steen bijgedragen aan de woningnood aan de onderkant van de maatschappij, dit door het verplichten van woningcorporaties hele huizenblokken te verkopen aan (buitenlandse) investeerders….. Deze investeerders hebben geen belang bij lage huren, dus deze huizen werden en worden onttrokken aan de hoeveelheid sociale huurwoningen en worden na verbouwingen voor gigantische prijzen verhuurd……..
Wat betreft de probleemgevallen, mensen die of overlast veroorzaken dan wel met grote schulden uit hun huis werden gezet en werden geherhuisvest in probleemwijken, valt ook nog wel het e.e.a. te zeggen: de PvdA is mede verantwoordelijk voor het sluiten van instellingen, waar mensen met psychische aandoeningen beschermd woonden….. Door deze sluiting werden deze mensen gedwongen zelfstandig te wonen en ja dat geeft heel vaak problemen…. Velen van hen werden na relatief korte tijd uit hun huis geplaatst vanwege (ook huur-) schulden en ze daarna zwervend op straat verward gedrag vertoonden en vertonen……..
Kortom Norder beklaagt zich over zaken die hij zelf heeft veroorzaakt!! (waar haalt hij het gore lef vandaan??!!!) Onbegrijpelijk dat deze kwast werd gelanceerd als topgraaier van Aedes, terwijl hij als wethouder vuil spel speelde met de woningcorporaties en de bouwmaffia (hij was dan ook een graag geziene gast op de jaarlijkse bouw biënnale in Cannes……)
Ook de falende schuldhulpverlening is voor een groot deel aan de PvdA te danken, neem Klijnsma (eerder collega wethouder van Norder in Den Haag) die als staatssecretaris wel 10 keer verbetering beloofde op de schuldhulpverlening, maar dit niet voor elkaar wist te krijgen, eerst beloofde ze dit onder Balkenende 4 en daarna als lid van afbraakkabinet Rutte 2…… Al is men de laatste jaren wel wat minder gretig om mensen die geen nagels hebben de kont te krabben, hun huis uit te zetten vanwege grote huurschulden……
Daarover gesproken: ook Norder is verantwoordelijk te houden voor de achterlijk hoge huren, waar het grootste deel van de huurders nu meer voor een dak boven hun hoofd betalen dan kopers, terwijl ze wat betreft rechten ver achterblijven bij kopers….. Deze giga huurprijzen** werden niet alleen bereikt door de woningnood in stand te houden met de hiervoor aangehaalde grote sloop van sociale huurwoningen, maar hij droeg ook een grote steen bij als nep-grondspeculant….
Norder imiteerde de normale grondspeculanten door de Haagse grond voor achterlijk hoge prijzen te verkopen…. Zo verkocht hij de grond waar eerder reizigers woonden*, op 5 kilometer van het centrum naast een industrieterrein voor € 46.000,–, dit was de prijs voor het minimum van 50 vierkante meters dat je kon kopen (ofwel dat was de prijs voor de kleinste postzegel aan grond die je op dat terrein aan de Escamplaan kon kopen…)…..
* Marnix ‘normalisatie’ Norder: dat ‘normalisatie’ daar deze PvdA hufter de reizigers (in de volksmond zigeuners) van hun staanplaatsen verjoeg en vaak dwong in gewone wijken te gaan wonen….. ‘Normalisatie’ van mensen (Roma en Sinti) die door de nazi’s op grote schaal werden vermoord in de concentratiekampen, dit nadat ze wat betreft Nederland door de Nederlandse politie na razzia’s werden opgebracht voor deportatie naar de dodenkampen……
** Hetzelfde geldt voor de huizenbubbel, ofwel de belachelijk hoge prijzen voor koopwoningen, prijzen die werden losgelaten op de huurwoningen, waardoor de huren de hemel in rijzen….
In het
hieronder opgenomen artikel van Tyler Durden op Zero Hedge, vertelt
hij dat de boel op ‘oorlogscherp’ staat in de Oost-Chinese Zee dit over de claim op een paar eilandjes door China en Japan, t.w. de onbewoonde Senkaku-eilanden, ook aangeduid als Diaoyu-eilanden.
Uiteraard
moet de VS zich er weer mee bemoeien en als je het mij vraagt is het
vooral de VS die Japan opstookt deze eilandjes te claimen…….
Kortom
niet alleen in de Zuid-Chinese Zee (‘what’s in a word?’), maar ook in de Oost-Chinese Zee is
de VS uit op oorlog met China, immers de VS staat voor de veiligheid
van Japan, dit n.a.v. een veiligheidsverdrag gesloten in de 50er
jaren met Japan en dan m.n artikel 5 uit dat verdrag……
Om de
boel nog verder op scherp te zetten hebben de VS en Japan een grote
militaire oefening gepland, waarmee men oefent op ‘eventuele agressie’ van China….. (en als er nu één land op de wereld is dat uiterst agressief bezig is, is het de VS wel >> de VS de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, nu verwikkeld in minstens 4 illegaal door deze vereniging van terreurstaten begonnen oorlogen…….) Er wordt zelfs overleg gevoerd tussen Japan en de VS over een militair antwoord op de ‘Chinese dreiging’ t.a.v. de Senkaku-eilanden……. De eerder genoemde grote militaire oefening van de VS en Japan kan je zien als voorbereiding daarop……..
Deze militaire oefening met de naam ‘Keen Sword’ (ha! ha! ha!) is volgens generaal en oorlogsmisdadiger William Seeley een aanvulling op de grote NAVO oefening Trident Juncture, die plaatsvindt in Noorwegen (en Oekraïne)……. (ik reken ook de grote luchtmachtoefening in Oekraïne toe aan die grote militaire oefening, immers daar wordt ook het zogenaamde raketschild in Polen en Roemenië bij betrokken, een schild waarvan de raketten in een mum van tijd van meerdere kernkoppen kunnen worden voorzien >> dit is een schending van het INF verdrag….. Dit terwijl het door een corrupte neonazi-junta geregeerd Oekraïne niet eens lid is van de NAVO….*)

Incursions Of Disputed Islands
Things
are again rapidly heating up in the East China Sea amidst already
heightened tensions in a region where Washington is increasingly
asserting the right of navigation in international waters against
broad Chinese claims and seeking to defend the territorial
possessions of its allies.
According
to a bombshell new Reuters report
the tiny and rocky Senkaku Islands which lie between northern Taiwan
and the Japanese home islands are“rapidly
turning into a flashpoint for war”.
Alarmingly, Japanese government sources have been quoted as
saying Tokyo
and the United States are drawing up an operations plan for an allied
military response to Chinese threats to the disputed Senkaku
Islands.
The Senkaku
Islands, historically claimed by both Japan and China.
From
nearly the start of his entering the White House, President Trump has
said he’s committed to upholding Article 5 of the US-Japan security
treaty signed the post-war years of the mid-20th century: “We
are committed to the security of Japan and all areas under its
administrative control and to further strengthening our very crucial
alliance,”Trump
had promised from
the first official reception of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo
Abe back in February 2017, and since consistently maintained.
Japanese
government sources have told regional media that the joint plan of
response with the United States involves“how
to respond in the event of an emergency on or around the uninhabited
islands in the East China Sea”— which
is set to be completed by next march, according to the statements.
Beijing
claims the islands as part of its historical inheritance — as it
does neighbouring Taiwan, despite failing to seize the protectorate
during the Chinese Civil War.
Taiwan,
however, was a Japanese protectorate before World War II.
It’s
a messy historical scenario, thought resolved through United Nations
conventions and treaties established after the

The Japan
Times reports
that “The plan being drawn up assumes such
emergencies as armed Chinese fishermen landing on the islands,
and Japan’s Self-Defense Forces needing to be mobilized after the
situation exceeds the capacity of the police to respond.”
The
situation is now taking on a greater urgency as both the US and Japan
participate in the two nations’ largest
ever join war games,
which involves the nuclear-powered USS Ronald Reagan aircraft
carrier. The exercise, called Keen Sword began on Monday and is set
to run through Thursday, and
involved a
combined force of 57,000 sailors, airmen and marines — with
Japan contributing 47,000 of those military personnel.
Canadian warships are also involved in the exercises.
Japan
is seeking greater direct commitment and resolve on the part of the
United States to defend its territorial claims against Chinese
encroachment, which Japan says is already beginning to happen through
informal provocative raids of fishing boats organized by
Beijing.
Reutersreports
that“ongoing
aggressive incursions by Chinese fishing boats — organised as a
state militia — and a freshly militarized coast guard has seen
tensions in the East China Sea flare.” And
the report further confirms: “The plan being drawn up assumes such
emergencies as armed Chinese fishermen landing on the islands, and
Japan’s Self-Defense Forces needing to be mobilized after the
situation exceeds the capacity of the police to respond.”
Though
the United States has in the past expressed deep reluctance on
outright defending claims to the Japan-administered islands
(indicating it will take no official position on the issue), which
China calls the Diaoyu, Japan’s Self-Defense Forces says
the focus of talks with the US has involved how
to incorporate the US military’s strike capabilities in any
potential Chinese invasion of the Senkaku Islands scenario.
One
Japanese military analyst was quoted
as saying:
“Given that military organizations always need to assume the worst
possible situation, it is natural for the two countries to work on
this kind of plan against China.”
The
two already have a framework for such talks based on recently created
2015 defense guidelines known ans the Bilateral Planning
Mechanism, or BPM. It
stipulates the US and Japan’s Self-Defense Forces will “conduct
bilateral operations to counter ground attacks against Japan by
ground, air, maritime, or amphibious forces”.
Currently there’s a similar contingency plan in place for a potential
emergency threat on the Korean peninsula.
Between
now and the spring – when the plan is set to be finalized and
agreed upon – China will likely ramp up its incursions on the
islands, or just seize them altogether before US commitments can be
firmed up, in which casethe
great unknown will be whether the United States actually steps up to
come to Japan’s aid while risking war with China— something
that up until now has been carefully avoided.

Yesterday
during an interview on MSNBC, Ron Dermer, the Israeli Ambassador to
the United States, placed the blame for the attack on both white
supremacists and the “radical left,” which is clearly code for
BDS activists.
“One
of the big forces in college campuses today is anti-Semitism. And
those anti-Semites are usually not neo-Nazis, on college campuses.
They’re coming from the radical left. We have to stand against
anti-Semitism whether it comes from the right or whether it comes
from the left.”
This
is a disgusting lie. But it is part and parcel with the recent push
by the Israeli government and its supporters in the West to redefine
the meaning of antisemitism to include criticism of Israel.
When
faced the most blatant example of antisemitic violence imaginable,
Dermer can’t bring himself to criticize the actual accomplices who
made this violence possible. Donald Trump, who declared himself a
“nationalist” earlier in the week, and the forces of white
supremacy in this country have created the atmosphere where this type
of violence is possible, even predictable. Yet during the MSNBC
interview Dermer said Trump is to be praised for his statements on
antisemitism, in no large part because the Trump administration has
been a strong supporter of the rightwing Netanyahu government that
Dermer represents.
This
is where Israel finds itself in 2018. The same “nationalist”
voices attacking George Soros and the “globalists” are also some
of Israel’s greatest supporters in the U.S.
But
it’s not just the Israeli government looking to use Pittsburgh.
Writing
in the New
York Times ADL
head Jonathan Greenblatt did the same thing, equating the ideology
behind the deadly attack on the 11 American Jews who were killed
while praying with criticism of the state of Israel.
The both sidesism in this Greenblatt piece is a disgrace. Head of @ADL_National can’t even bring himself to name the Republican party as the chief American exporters of anti-Semitic incitement.
In light of today’s shooting in Pittsburgh, re-upping this thread. It is important to talk about how growing anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism are creating a toxic brew coming from both the fringe right & left.
The
murderous rampage at the Tree of Life synagogue had absolutely
nothing to do with the struggle for Palestinian rights. And
anyone who is telling you there is is shamelessly trying to use the

midden september heeft de VS tot 4 maal toe het in bewoond gebied

Toevallig
ligt het dorp Hajin vlakbij een olieraffinaderij, daarover gesproken
de gebieden in Syrië waar de meeste olie te vinden is, zijn in handen
van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde… de VS! Een zaak, waar je
als het gebruik van witte fosfor door de VS, de reguliere westerse
media niet over hoort……
Eerder
gebruikte de VS witte fosfor bij bombardementen op het Iraakse
West-Mosul en het Syrische Raqqa, je weet wel toen o.a. de VN smeekte
bij de VS te stoppen met bombarderen, daar er ongelofelijk veel
burgerslachtoffers vielen bij die bombardementen, helaas was dat tevergeefs……
Tegelijkertijd durft men in die westerse media en politiek wel een grote bek op te zetten over de Russen en het
reguliere Syrische leger, die telkens wel stoppen met bombarderen als
er veel burgerslachtoffers dreigen te vallen, zoals 2 maanden voor de
inname van Oost-Aleppo, een zaak die ‘ook al’ nooit werd gemeld door
de reguliere westerse (massa-) media…………
Hetzelfde geldt voor de ‘door het reguliere Syrische leger gepleegde gifgasaanvallen’, ondanks dat al lang duidelijk is dat die aanvallen werden uitgevoerd door de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen (gesteund met ons belastinggeld), die NB met medeweten (en zonder protest) van het westen beschikken over gifgassen als chlorine en sarin, blijft men Syrië beschuldigen……..

DEIR
EZ ZOR, SYRIA – The
U.S.-led coalition in Syria has been accused of using white
phosphorus incendiary munitions for the fourth time since
mid-September. White phosphorus is banned
internationally when
used in areas with civilian populations.
Syrian
state news agencySANA reported on
a bombing conducted by the U.S.-led coalition that had targeted the
small city of Hajin in Syria’s Eastern Deir Ez-Zor province over
the weekend. The bombing, allegedly intended to target Daesh (ISIS)
terrorists who control the city, killed fifteen civilians – among
them women and children – and injured scores more. Civil sources
cited by SANA reported
that white phosphorus bombs had been used, which – in addition to
resulting in several civilian deaths and injuries — caused massive
property damage due to the fires resulting from the use of the banned
substance.
White
phosphorus is well-known for igniting
spontaneously in
the presence of oxygen and its use frequently results in
post-explosion fires that can burn for hours, as well as painful
chemical burns for those who come in contact with the substance,
which can stick to hair and clothing. The International Committee of
the Red Cross has
stated that
“employing asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases, and all
analogous liquids, materials or devices is listed in the Statute of
the International Criminal Court as a war crime.”
As
a result of the extreme damage it can cause, Protocol III of the 1980
Convention on Conventional Weapons prohibits the use of the chemical
weapon in areas populated by civilians. However, the United States
is not
a signatory of
Protocol III.
The
recent alleged bombing of a Syrian town with white phosphorus by
munitions is the fourth time the U.S.-led coalition has been accused
of using the banned substance in the village of Hajin just since
September. On Oct. 29, and a few weeks prior on Oct. 13, local
sources reported
the use of white phosphorus by coalition jets in Hajin. A month
prior, on Sept. 10, Russia’s military mission in Syria also
accused the
U.S. coalition of using white phosphorus munitions in the city of
Hajin.
The
prior bombings were the result of an
effort of
by the United States’ military’s proxy in Syria, the Syrian
Democratic Forces (SDF), to take the city of Hajin from Daesh.
However, the SDF suspended its
campaign to take Hajin at the end of October, three days before this
most recent bombing. Notably, Hajin is the site of an
important Syrian oil refinery,
making it an area of interest to the U.S.-led coalition, which is
currently occupying 30% of Syria as well as the areas containing
the vast
majority of
the country’s oil resources.

Justification for War Crimes
Unfortunately,
the U.S.-led coalition has been using white phosphorus in combat
operations long before September. In fact, the use of white
phosphorus had become so commonplace that a New Zealand general that
worked with the coalition openly
admitted to
its use in Iraq’s Mosul in an interview with NPR.
The coalition also used the banned munitions in its efforts to take
the Syrian city of Raqqa from Daesh in June of last year.
Those
two offenses, which took place in areas that were densely populated
by civilians, prompted
groups like
Human Rights Watch (HRW) to slam the U.S.-led coalition for putting
civilians in Raqqa and Mosul at unnecessary risk.
“No
matter how white phosphorus is used, it poses a high risk of horrific
and long-lasting harm in crowded cities like [Syria’s] Raqqa and
[Iraq’s] Mosul and any other areas with concentrations of
civilians,” Steve Goose, the arms director at the HRW, had stated
last June.
At
the time, a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition claimed that
the U.S. military only used white phosphorus in “accordance with
the law of armed conflict” and that the munitions were only “used
for screening, obscuring, and marking in a way that fully considers
the possible incidental effects on civilians and civilian
structures.”
Thousands
of civilians died
in coalition efforts to retake Raqqa, which also destroyed an
estimated 90% of the buildings in the city. Over a year after the
operation concluded, many of the dead are still
buried under
the rubble. This past June, Amnesty International accused the
U.S. coalition of “war crimes” in its Raqqa offensive.

Het SWIFT (internationaal)
betalingssysteem heeft door het psychopathisch terreur gedrag van de

China al een eigen intern systeem en Rusland heeft haar eigen internationale betalingssysteem ‘gelanceerd’: SPFS, waar het land nu overlegt met China, Turkije en Iran voor deelname aan dit systeem.
Met haar handelen isoleert de VS zich
steeds meer, volkomen terecht stelt Tom Luongo in het hieronder opgenomen artikel (door Tyler Durden ‘geredigeerd’ en op Zero Hedge geplaatst) dat de bankwereld
pas echt wakker zal worden als de VS de Duitse Bank zou willen
straffen voor het handelen in Russische energie (gas en/of olie) en
die bank zou daarop besluiten om van SWIFT op SPFS over te stappen.
Ongelofelijk dat de
VS denkt werkelijk iedereen de valse VS wet voor te kunnen schrijven (en te belachelijk voor woorden dat men de VS over de wereld als een psychopathische

only now functioning in Russia, according to a
report from RT it
now handles the financial transfer data for more than half of
Russia’s institutions.
According
to Anatoly Aksakov, head of the Russian parliamentary committee
on financial markets:
The
number of users of our internal financial messages’ transfer system
is now greater than that of those using SWIFT. We’re already
holding talks with China, Iran and Turkey, along with several other
countries, on linking our system with their systems,” Aksakov said.
“They
need to be properly integrated with each other in order to avoid any
problems with using the countries’ internal financial messaging
systems.”
This
is a follow up to last month’s boast by the Russians that their
system was seeing a lot of international interest. How much of
this is boast and how much of it is reality remains to be seen, but
the important point here is that the minute the U.S. weaponized SWIFT
for use in its foreign policy, something like this was bound to
occur.
China
has its own internal system. And other countries are building
theirs as well.
The
SWIFT Cost
A
common theme on this blog is that control
is an illusion. Power is ephemeral. The
best way to exercise your power is to have it but never use it.
Because once you do use it you define for your enemies the costs of
their lack of compliance to your edicts.
And
if there is one thing humans are good at it is responding to known
incentives. Once we can calculate the cost of one behavior over
another we can then decide which one is more important to us.
Once
costs of staying in SWIFT rise above the benefits of building your
own alternative, you build an alternative.
SWIFT
is a market power similar to a CEO having billions in restricted
stock in their company. A lot of hay is made about the net
worth of people like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg.
Quoting
their net worth by multiplying their known holdings times the current
price of the stock is useless. Because they can’t sell it.
It is market power or perceived wealth that evaporates the moment
they signal to the market their intention to sell.
In
reality, if they tried to sell their stock all at once the value of
the stock would plummet as buyers would run for the hills and they
would realize far less than their stated net worth before the selling
began.
So,
if anything they are a captive of their own success, needing to
manage the creation carefully to avoid damaging its reputation,
market position and, ultimately, its business.
SWIFT
is a monopoly system, a monopoly born of convenience and inertia
thanks to it being neutral to whims of international political
spats. Enter
the late stage of imperial thinking in the U.S. where our control
over world affairs is waning first in the hearts and minds of various
people around the world and then in policy and you have the beginning
of the end of SWIFT as the only international financial transfer
system.
Back
in 2010, I remember Jim Sinclair banging his shoe on the table about
our threatening Switzerland over opening up its customer data looking
for ‘tax cheats’ under FATCA. He said then that the Obama
administration was idiotic for doing this.
This
is where I got the maxim, once
you go nuclear you have no other option.
And
he was right.
Then
Iran was cut out of SWIFT in 2012 to effect regime change which also
failed. And that woke the world up to the reality. The
U.S. and Europe will attempt to destroy your livelihood if you dare
oppose its unilateral demands.
Our
political and financial elites, The
Davos Crowd,
will stop at literally nothing to ensure your compliance.
Too
bad that SWIFT is just code. It’s just an encrypted messaging
system. And like the push to stifle alternative voices on
social media – de-platforming Alex Jones and Gab for examples – the
solution to authoritarian control is not fighting fire with fire, but
technology.
And
that’s exactly what Russia has done. They
applied themselves, spent the money and wrote their own code. Code
is, after all, hard to control.
De-coding
SWIFT’s Power
It
is also what is happening all over the Internet communications supply
chain right now. The
infrastructure independent content producers need to resist corporate
control is being built and will see their businesses rise as so many
more people are now woketo
the reality of the situation.
As
Russian banks and businesses reap the benefits of no longer existing
under SWIFT’s Sword of Damocles, others will see the same benefits.
I’ve
been making this point all year, the more the Trump administration
uses tariffs and sanctions to achieve its political goals the more it
will ultimately weaken the U.S.’s position worldwide. It
won’t happen overnight.
It
will build, gradually, steadily until one day the threat will no
longer be there.
We
may have already reached that moment as President Trump has ruled out
pressuring SWIFT to cut Iran out of the system. Too bad his
evil Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin doesn’t agree with him.
But,Mnuchin
is living in the past, he doesn’t respect the resistance that’s
forming to U.S. financial hegemony. He will though when it
proves ineffectual.
Russia’s
SPFS will gain clients across Iran, Turkey, China and the rest of its
close trading partners. This will accelerate the
de-dollarization of Russia’s main trade, hydrocarbons, since many
of these countries are major buyers of Russian oil.
When
you hear the announcement from a German bank under sanctions from the
U.S. for trading in Russian energy that it will use SPFS as its
transfer system, that will be the real wake up call to the markets.
Change
then will comes, forgive the obvious pun, swiftly.

The
Electronic Intifada has obtained a complete copy of The
Lobby – USA,
a four-part undercover investigation by Al Jazeera into Israel’s
covert influence campaign in the United States.
We
are releasing the leaked film simultaneously with
France’s Orient XXI and
Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar,
which have respectively subtitled the episodes in French and Arabic.
The
film was made by Al Jazeera during 2016 and was completed in
October 2017.
But
it was censored after
Qatar, the gas-rich Gulf emirate that funds Al Jazeera, came under
intense Israel
lobby pressure not
to air the film.
Although
Al Jazeera’s director-general claimed last month that there were
outstanding legal issues with the film, his assertions have
been flatly
contradicted by his own journalists.
In
March, The Electronic Intifada was the first
to report on
any of the film’s specific content. We followed
this in August by
publishing the first extract of the film, and shortly
after Max
Blumenthal at the Grayzone
Projectreleased others.
Since
then, The Electronic Intifada has released three
other extracts,
and several other journalists have watched the entire film and
written about it – including Alain
Gresh and Antony
Loewenstein.
Now
The Electronic Intifada can reveal for the first time that it has
obtained all four parts of the film.

To
get unprecedented access to the Israel lobby’s inner workings,
undercover reporter “Tony” posed as a pro-Israel volunteer
in Washington.
The
resulting film exposes the efforts of Israel and its lobbyists to spy
on, smear and intimidate US citizens who support
Palestinian human rights, especially BDS – the boycott,
divestment and sanctions movement.
It
shows that Israel’s semi-covert black-ops government
agency, the Ministry
of Strategic Affairs,
is operating this effort in collusion with an extensive network
of US-based organizations.
The
film was suppressed after the government of Qatar came under intense
pressure not to release it – ironically from the very same lobby
whose influence and antics the film exposes.
Clayton
Swisher, Al Jazeera’s head of investigations, revealed in
an article for The
Forward in
March that Al Jazeera had sent more than 70 letters to individuals
and organizations who appear in or are discussed in the film,
providing them with an opportunity to respond.
Only
three did so. Instead, pro-Israel groups have endeavored to suppress
the film that exposes the lobby’s activities.
In
April, Al Jazeera’s management was forced
to deny a claim by
the hard-right Zionist Organization of America that the film had been
canceled altogether.
In
June, The Electronic Intifada learned
that a high level source in
Doha had said the film’s indefinite delay was due to “national
security” concerns of the Qatari government.
Reifkind
– then an Israeli embassy employee – describing her typical work
day as “mainly gathering intel, reporting back to Israel … to
report back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of
Strategic Affairs.”
She
discusses the Israeli government “giving our support” to front
groups “in that behind-the-scenes way.”
Reifkind
also admits to using fake Facebook profiles to infiltrate the circles
of Palestine solidarity activists on campus.
The
film also reveals that US-based groups coordinate their efforts
directly with the Israeli government, particularly its Ministry
of Strategic Affairs.
The
film shows footage of the very same ex-military intelligence
officer, Sima
Vaknin-Gil,
claiming to have mapped Palestinian rights activism “globally. Not
just the United States, not just campuses, but campuses and
intersectionality and labor unions and churches.”
She
promises to use this data for “offense activity” against
Palestine activists.
Jacob
Baime, executive director of the Israel on Campus Coalition, claims
in the undercover footage that his organization uses “corporate
level, enterprise-grade social media intelligence software” to
gather lists of Palestine-related student events on campus,
“generally within about 30 seconds or less” of them being
posted online.
Baime
also admits on hidden camera that his group “coordinates” with
the Israeli Ministry of Strategic Affairs.
Baime
states that his researchers “issue early warning alerts to our
partners” – including Israeli ministries.
Baime’s
colleague Ian Hersh admits in the film to adding Israel’s “Ministry
of Strategic Affairs to our operations and intelligence brief.”
“Psychological warfare”
Baime
describes how his group has used anonymous websites to
target activists.
“With
the anti-Israel people, what’s most effective, what we’ve found
at least in the last year, is you do the opposition research, put up
some anonymous website, and then put up targeted Facebook ads,”
Baime explains in part
three of the film.
“Canary
Mission is a good example,” he states. “It’s
psychological warfare.”
The
film names, for the first time, convicted
tax evaderAdam
Milstein as
the multimillionaire funder and mastermind of Canary Mission – an
anonymous smear site targeting student activists.
Eric
Gallagher, then fundraising director for The Israel Project, is seen
in the undercover footage admitting that “Adam Milstein, he’s the
guy who funds” Canary Mission.
Milstein
also funds The Israel Project, Gallagher states.
Gallagher
says that when he was working for AIPAC,
Washington’s most powerful Israel lobby group, “I was literally
emailing back and forth with [Adam Milstein] while he was in jail.”
Despite
not replying to Al Jazeera’s request for comment,
Milstein denied that
he and his family foundation “are funders of Canary Mission” on
the same day The Electronic Intifada published the clip.
In
March, The Electronic Intifada published the
first details of what is in the film.
We
reported that it showed Sima Vaknin-Gil claiming to have leading
neoconservative think tank the Foundation for Defense of Democracies
working for her ministry.
The
undercover footage shows Vaknin-Gil claiming that “We have FDD.
We have others working on” projects including “data gathering,
information analysis, working on activist organizations, money trail.
This is something that only a country, with its resources, can do
the best.”
As
noted in part one of the documentary, the existence of the film and
the identity of the undercover reporter became known after footage he
had shot for it was used in Al Jazeera’s The
Lobby –
about Israel’s covert influence campaign in the UK –
aired in early 2017.
Since
then, Israel lobbyists have heavily pressured Qatar to prevent
the US film from airing.
“Foreign agent”
Clayton
Swisher, Al Jazeera’s head of investigations, first
confirmed in October 2017 that
the network had run an undercover reporter in the US Israel
lobby at the same time as in the UK.
Swisher
promised the film would be released “very soon,” but it never
came out.
Multiple
Israel lobby sources told Israel’s Haaretz newspaper
in February that they had received assurances from Qatari leaders
late last year that the documentary would not be aired.
Qatar denied
this,
but the paper stood by its story.
Swisher’s
op-ed in The
Forward was
his first public comment on the matter since he had announced
the documentary.
In
it, he refutes Israel lobby allegations about the film and expresses
frustration that Al Jazeera had not aired it, apparently due to
outside pressure.
They
have included some of the most right-wing and extreme figures among
Israel’s defenders in the US, such
as Harvard
law professor Alan Dershowitz and Morton Klein, the head of the
Zionist Organization of America.
Swisher
wrote in The
Forward that
he ran into Dershowitz at a Doha restaurant during one of these
visits, and invited the professor to a private viewing of the film.
“I
have no problem with any of the secret filming,” Swisher says
Dershowitz told him afterwards.
“And
I can even see this being broadcast on PBS” –
the US public broadcaster.
Yet
it appears that Israel lobby efforts to quash the film were
successful – until now.

What People Are Actually Saying When They Bash Julian Assange
(CJ Opinion) — Wired has just published what might be the single most brazenly dishonest and manipulative piece of down-punching empire smut that I have ever read. An article by Virginia Heffernan titled “The Real Houseguest of the Ecuadorian Embassy” revolves around the outright lie that Julian Assange is suing the Ecuadorian government because he doesn’t feel like cleaning up after his cat and maintaining basic hygiene in the embassy he’s been confined to since 2012.
In reality, the legal case arose from the fact that despite being granted political asylum for his journalism, Assange has for months been cut off from the world and forbidden to practice journalism by the new government of Ecuador, and would remain unable to practice journalism under the new conditions Quito recently imposed upon him.
The article reads as though its author is attempting to force snarky humor through a thick fog of hatred and personal misery while seeing how many lies she can pack into each paragraph. Heffernan claims falsely that Assange is “wanted on various criminal charges”; Assange has not been charged with anything. Heffernan claims falsely that Assange “has been closely linked to the Kremlin and Russian president Vladimir Putin”; this is just objectively false with no evidence backing it up whatsoever. Heffernan claims falsely that “the distinct possibility has surfaced that during his embassy tenure Assange communicated with Roger Stone, Donald Trump’s consigliere, via magic decoder rings or the internet”; there’s no evidence that Stone had any “back channel” with WikiLeaks, and the information he notoriously amplified was already public. Heffernan claims falsely that WikiLeaks is “Russia-aligned”; another assertion for which there is zero evidence and much evidence to the contrary.
You get the picture. I’m not going to spend an entire article beating up on some writer for Wired just for authoring an amazingly horrible article about Julian Assange, especially when there are so very, very many other ambitious presstitutes falling all over themselves in a mad scramble to do the exact same thing right now.
Just as new information begins surfacing that Assange’s safety and security may be in immediate jeopardy, the brave, dauntless journalists of the establishment press have been working around the clock to bring their audiences as many versions as possible of the crucial bombshell news story that the WikiLeaks founder is a stinky, stinky man. Like it would even matter if that were true. Like the barely disguised plot to extradite a journalist for the crime of publishing facts to the same nation which tortured Chelsea Manning would be any less Orwellian if that journalist didn’t change his sheets often enough.
But that, of course, is not the point. The point is to create public revulsion for Julian Assange, thereby killing sympathy for his unconscionable persecution and dampening the impact of any future WikiLeaks releases. The point is to marry Assange’s name with the idea of bad smells, so that the public will begin to find themselves increasingly disgusted by him and everything he stands for without quite remembering exactly why they feel such disdain for him.
And there are more than enough aspiring pundits out there trying to do exactly that. Every story you see about Assange’s plight in mainstream media now goes out of its way to drag the focus away from the fact that a political prisoner has had his important voice silenced, and suck it into some vapid narrative about personal hygiene and kitty litter. Every few minutes there’s some blue-check-marked goon making a juvenile tweet about how weird and gross Julian Assange is like a high school bully. There is no shortage of empire loyalists looking to prove themselves worthy lackeys before the watchful eyes of current and future employers.
It isn’t just governments that kill journalists, it is other journalists. The world’s biggest media outlets ignore multiple UN rulings to scream about cat food & hygiene, while the most significant publisher of our generation remains arbitrarily detained in London #EndImpunity
And make no mistake, that is all it is ever about. The reason almost every journalist below a certain age has a Twitter account these days is because they are taught in no uncertain terms that building a social media profile is an essential part of the job. They know that their social media presence can be just as much a determining factor in whether or not they keep climbing the ladder of prestige and influence as their resume is. Reporters in western corporate media aren’t usually explicitly told to protect establishment interests, but the ones who consistently do are the ones who get hired to the choice jobs. Making a big show about what a good empire lackey you are by smearing Julian Assange at a key juncture in his fight is a great way to show your peers and superiors that you’re someone who plays along with the beltway groupthink, and the fact that Assange cannot defend himself from those smears makes it extremely risk-free.
So when you see some political writer yukking it up about Julian Assange and kitty litter, what they are really saying is, “Hey! Look at me! You can count on me to advance whatever narratives get passed down from on high! I’ll cheer on all the wars! I’ll play up the misdeeds of our great nation’s rivals and ignore the misdeeds of our allies! I’ll literally spit on Assange if you’ll give my career a boost!”
They are saying, “I support everything the media-controlling oligarchs support, and I hate everything they hate. I will be a reliable mouthpiece of the ruling class regardless of who is elected in our fake elections to our fake official government. I will say all the right things. I will protect what you need protected. I will hide what you want hidden. I understand what you want me to do without your explicitly telling me to do it. I’ve got what you need. I have no principles. Look, I’m even joining in the dog pile against a political prisoner who can’t defend himself.”
Reporters who bash Julian Assange while he is silenced instead of using their platforms to draw attention to the many, many wicked deeds that are being perpetrated by the powerful in their own country are the lowest of the low. They are scum. They are the scum that scum scrapes off its shoes. There is no more despicable, sniveling waste of space on this earth than someone who attacks the powerless on behalf of the powerful while calling themselves a journalist.

Vanmorgen in Radio1 Journaal (van ‘onafhankelijk zendgemachtigde’ NOS) een propaganda praatje voor de White Helmets, die intussen al 100 keer door de mand zijn gevallen als hulp van terreurgroepen en zelfs meevechten aan de kant van die groepen, dit in aanloop van het bezoek van deze terreurgroep aan ons land……..
Hier een video gebracht door Brasscheck TV over de White Helmets, die een heel ander ‘plaatje’ laat zien van deze zogenaamde humanitaire hulpverleners:
Weer zo’n bericht waar je subiet schijtziek van wordt: een paardenmarkt waar dieren vele uren vaststaan aan veel te korte lijnen, waar ze amper water en voer krijgen en het dan maar normaal moeten vinden dat mensen om hen heen luidruchtig ‘feest’ vieren………
Deze dieren zijn niet zelden ondervoed, gewond en te jong om verhandeld te worden…… Voorts zijn deze paarden en pony’s niet gewend zolang vast te staan en dit maakt hen dan ook angstig…….. Ofwel: ook de paardenmarkt in Hedel blinkt uit in (zware) dierenmishandeling!
Het meest smerige is wel dat er 4 inspecteurs van de NVWA aanwezig zijn, maar geen reden zien om in te grijpen, ook een aanwezige dierenarts onderneemt amper enige actie…….
Trouwens over paarden en pony’s gesproken: op mijn fietstochten kom ik regelmatig paarden of pony’s tegen die alleen in een veel te kleine weide staan, terwijl paarden kuddedieren zijn…… Wat mij betreft een ernstige vorm van dierenmishandeling…..
En dan hebben we tegenwoordig ook nog dierenpolitie……… (een PVV lachertje!)

Paardenmarkt
in Hedel is nachtmerrie
De
paardenmarkt in het Gelderse Hedel is één van de grootste in
Europa. De paarden worden midden in de nacht uitgeladen en belanden
direct tussen lawaaiige kermisattracties.Veel paarden zijn gewond,
mager, zeer angstig en er zitten te jonge veulens tussen. De NVWA
inspecteurs staan erbij en kijken ernaar.

De
dieren staan van middernacht tot de volgende dag, zeventien uur lang
zeer kort aangebonden aan een stang. De meeste paarden krijgen geen
voer of water. De dieren komen zo uit de wei en zijn niet gewend om
vast te staan, omringd door feestende mensen en luide muziek.
Slechte
behandeling
De
paarden worden aangevoerd in overvolle transportwagens, Hierdoor
raken ze extreem gestrest en verwonden ze elkaar soms tot bloedens
toe. Paarden worden al vallend en steigerend de wagens uit gesleurd,
aan de staart opgetild en geslagen. De vier inspecteurs van de
Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA) en een dierenarts van
de paardenmarkt, speciaal aangesteld om te controleren op
dierenwelzijn, ondernemen vrijwel niets.

de paardenmarkt onder begeleiding van vier beveiligers van Bouncers
Against Animal Abuse (BAA-A). Pesie: “Het is onbegrijpelijk dat een
gemeentebestuur dit soort markten toestaat of zelfs helpt
organiseren. We overwegen juridische stappen. Deze nachtmerrie voor
de dieren is echt niet meer van deze tijd.”
