Ex-IS strijders keren islam de rug toe, nieuws dat de geheime diensten niet graag horen……..

Zojuist op BBC World Service radio (rond 12.10 u. CET), een verslaggever die in België en Duitsland ex-IS strijders opzocht. Opvallende conclusie (zeker voor de afhankelijke BBC): deze jonge mannen hebben voor een heel groot deel de islam de rug toegekeerd. Duidelijk getraumatiseerd gebruikt men zelfs alcohol en andere drugs…..

Volgens deze figuren zijn ze zwaar teleurgesteld, vanwege hun ervaringen onder IS bewind…..

U begrijp natuurlijk wel, dat de geheime diensten dit niet graag horen, immers men is met een voortdurende campagne bezig* angst- en haat te zaaien tegen deze ‘uiterst gevaarlijke mensen….’

Met elke gepleegde aanslag stijgt het budget voor deze diensten, die zelfs aanslagplegers niet tegen kunnen houden, als ze bij wijze van spreken naast de agenten van deze diensten lopen…… ‘Je zou je bijna gaan afvragen of die geheime diensten niet zelf meewerken aan die aanslagen……’

‘Security deskundige’ Konijn over gehoorschade bij VS ambassadepersoneel Cuba……

Vorige week vrijdag voor het nieuws van 16.30 u. op BNR, ‘security deskundige’ (veiligheidsdeskundige klinkt ook ‘zó gedateerd…) Konijn*, die werd gevraagd naar de gehoorschade bij VS ambassade personeel op Cuba.

Zo’n 5 personeelsleden van de VS ambassade in Havana, zouden in redelijk korte tijd gehoorschade hebben opgelopen…… Uiteraard meldden de reguliere (massa-) media in de VS dat dit de schuld is van de Cubaanse overheid……. Zonder zich ook maar af te vragen, hoe die Cubaanse overheid daarvan zou moeten profiteren…..

Aanvankelijk stelde Konijn deze bewering als toch wel zeer onwaarschijnlijk te zien, maar dacht daarna misschien aan opdrachten, dus stelde hij z’n mening bij en stelde dat dit ultrasone geluid inderdaad door de Cubanen moet zijn veroorzaakt……..

Uiteraard is dit een lulverhaal en het zal me niet verbazen als de CIA op de ambassade in Havanna bezig is geweest met het testen van deze geluidsbron, om daar Cubaanse hoogwaardigheidsbekleders mee te lijf te gaan…… Stel je maar voor, de CIA die een Cubaanse hoogwaardigheidsbekleder met zo’n instrument tijdens diens toespraak weet ‘te raken’ en daarmee diens gehoor te beschadigen, zo’n persoon kan z’n verhaal daarna niet meer afmaken en staat dus voor paal ten overstaan van diens publiek (of gehoor)…….

Uiteraard willen de afhankelijke (massa-) media in de VS dat Cuba weer op de plaats wordt gezet waar het stond: ‘een smerige dictatuur die niets voor de bevolking overheeft’ en derhalve op alle mogelijke manieren moet worden dwarsgezeten…….. Terwijl diezelfde bevolking de beschikking heeft over goede medische zorg, scholing en behuizing en dat voor een schijntje, kom daar maar eens voor in de VS (en Nederland…)……..

* Kon deze figuur niet terugvinden op het net, in de uitzending werd hij aangeduid als Neil, of Niel Konijn.

Arib (PvdA) over vergeten oorlog in Indonesië en de Japanse bezetter……

‘Viel’ gistermiddag na 16.30 u. op Radio1 in een praatje van PvdA volksverlakker Arib over ‘de vergeten oorlog’, waarmee ze WOII in Indonesië bedoelde……. Even later stelde ze doodleuk dat de Japanners de bezetters waren van ‘Nederlands Indië…’

Het is Arib waarschijnlijk ontgaan, dat Nederland zo’n 300 jaar lang volkomen illegaal Indonesië heeft bezet……

Ik was druk met andere zaken bezig en mij is ontgaan, waarom Arib daarover vertelde, ik dacht n.a.v. een nieuw boek over WOII in Indonesië……

Vandaar dat ik op het internet zocht waar en wanneer Arib precies haar praatje hield, toen ik een artikel over Arib uit 2016 tegen kwam.

Op 3 september 2016 sprak Arib over Indonesië, alleen was het toen ter gelegenheid van de jaarlijkse herdenking bij het ‘Nationaal Indië-monument 1945-1962‘ in Roermond………. Met andere woorden, daar werden en worden de ‘Politionele Acties’ herdacht, ofwel de herdenking van de smerige koloniale oorlog die Nederland tegen het Indonesische volk voerde en waarbij Nederland een enorm aantal oorlogsmisdaden beging……… ‘Echt het herdenken waard…..’

Arib durfde destijds te zeggen, dat velen misschien vinden, dat Nederland niet in Indonesië thuishoorde, maar dat alles via democratische besluitvorming tot stand was gekomen…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Oh, dus wij hebben een paar honderd jaar geleden democratisch besloten een land in te nemen, dit leeg te zuigen, middels een enorme repressie, waarbij niet zelden hele dorpen of kampongs werden afgeslacht, inclusief vrouwen, kinderen en huisdieren….. Eén keer zelfs een heel eiland >> één van de Banda-eilanden, onderdeel van de Molukken, dit vanwege de kruidnagel productie. Kortom wij hebben democratisch besloten: -te brandschatten, -te stelen, -opium te verhandelen, -mensenhandel te promoten, dit middels slavernij, -te verkrachten en -op grote schaal te moorden………

Lullig dat Nederland nog steeds schroomt volledige schuld te erkennen aan wat er is gebeurd tijdens deze smerige koloniale oorlog…… Tweede Kamervoorzitter Arib heeft er intussen totaal geen moeite mee, dergelijke nonsens te berde te brengen…….. De Nederlandse militairen (en anderen) die verzet pleegden tegen deze vuile oorlog, zijn nooit geëerd……. Integendeel, Poncke Princen, één van die militairen, mocht tot zijn dood niet meer in Nederland komen……. Nee, de schoften die zich te buiten gingen aan oorlogsmisdaden werden tot hun dood toe beschermd, dat moorden was immers ‘democratisch besloten’, sterker nog: op de koop toe werden en worden zij wel geëerd……….

Overigens toch een rare snuiter, die Arib, zo was zij al eens adviseur van de dictatorkoning van Marokko, terwijl ze tegelijkertijd voor de PvdA in de Kamer zat………. Ook al geen reden haar niet tot Kamervoorzitter te kiezen……. Wat een land!

In de afgelopen 9 dagen viel de herdenking van de VS atoomaanvallen 72 jaar geleden op de Japanse steden Hiroshima en Nagasaki, respectievelijk op 6 en 9 augustus 1945. Al 72 jaar vindt de discussie plaats over de noodzaak van die aanvallen.

Volgens oorlogsmisdadiger Truman, destijds president van de VS, zou de aanval een half miljoen levens van VS militairen hebben gered. Experts hebben echter berekend dat een aanval op het ‘vaste land’ van Japan, 40.000 militairen het leven hebben gekost, althans als die invasie werkelijk nodig was…….

Precies dat betwijfelden NB een aantal verantwoordelijke VS topmilitairen, die destijds bevel voerden over de strijd tegen Japan. Volgens hen was Japan in feite al verslagen en had men in de onderhandelingen met Japan (over beëindiging van de oorlog) iets toegefelijker moeten zijn. Als de VS een onvoorwaardelijke overgave van Japan niet als noodzaak hadden gezien en daarmee het aanblijven van de Japanse keizer hadden goedgekeurd, was de oorlog zonder verder bloedvergieten beëindigd…… Uiteindelijk ging Truman wel akkoord met deze Japanse voorwaarden, echter na de steden Hiroshima en Nagasaki te hebben vernietigd, waarbij 250.000 mensen omkwamen…….. (dit nog buiten de slachtoffers die later aan de gevolgen van die oorlogsmisdaden zijn overleden >> na een meestal vreselijke lijdensweg….)

Seventy years ago this week the US vaporized 250,000 civilians, and yet still the bombings are seen as an act of mercy

Here we are, 70 years after the nuclear obliteration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and I’m wondering if we’ve come even one step closer to a moral reckoning with our status as the world’s only country to use atomic weapons to slaughter human beings. Will an American president ever offer a formal apology? Will our country ever regret the dropping of “Little Boy” and “Fat Man,” those two bombs that burned hotter than the sun? Will it absorb the way they instantly vaporized thousands of victims, incinerated tens of thousands more, and created unimaginably powerful shockwaves and firestorms that ravaged everything for miles beyond ground zero? Will it finally come to grips with the “black rain” that spread radiation and killed even more people — slowly and painfully — leading in the end to a death toll for the two cities conservatively estimated at more than 250,000?
By 1945, most Americans didn’t care that the civilians of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had not committed Japan’s war crimes. American wartime culture had for years drawn on a long history of “yellow peril” racism to paint the Japanese not just as inhuman, but as subhuman. As Truman put it in his diary, it was a country full of “savages” — “ruthless, merciless, and fanatic” people so loyal to the emperor that every man, woman, and child would fight to the bitter end. In these years, magazines routinely depicted Japanese as monkeys, apes, insects, and vermin. Given such a foe, so went the prevailing view, there were no true “civilians” and nothing short of near extermination, or at least a powerful demonstration of America’s willingness to proceed down that path, could ever force their surrender. As Admiral William “Bull” Halsey said in a 1944 press conference, “The only good Jap is a Jap who’s been dead six months.”

On August 9, 1945, President Harry Truman delivered a radio address from the White House. “The world will note,” he said, “that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base. That was because we wished in this first attack to avoid, insofar as possible, the killing of civilians.” He did not mention that a second atomic bomb had already been dropped on Nagasaki.

Truman understood, of course, that if Hiroshima was a “military base,” then so was Seattle; that the vast majority of its residents were civilians; and that perhaps 100,000 of them had already been killed. Indeed, he knew that Hiroshima was chosen not for its military significance but because it was one of only a handful of Japanese cities that had not already been firebombed and largely obliterated by American air power.

Twenty years ago, the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum planned an ambitious exhibit to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II. At its center was to be an extraordinary artifact — the fuselage of the Enola Gay, the B-29 Superfortress used to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. But the curators and historical consultants wanted something more than yet another triumphal celebration of American military science and technology. Instead, they sought to assemble a thought-provoking portrayal of the bomb’s development, the debates about its use, and its long-term consequences. The museum sought to include some evidence challenging the persistent claim that it was dropped simply to end the war and “save lives.”

For starters, visitors would have learned that some of America’s best-known World War II military commanders opposed using atomic weaponry. In fact, six of the seven five-star generals and admirals of that time believed that there was no reason to use them, that the Japanese were already defeated, knew it, and were likely to surrender before any American invasion could be launched. Several, like Admiral William Leahy and General Dwight Eisenhower, also had moral objections to the weapon. Leahy considered the atomic bombing of Japan “barbarous” and a violation of “every Christian ethic I have ever heard of and all of the known laws of war.”

Truman did not seriously consult with military commanders who had objections to using the bomb. He did, however, ask a panel of military experts to offer an estimate of how many Americans might be killed if the United States launched the two major invasions of the Japanese home islands scheduled for November 1, 1945 and March 1, 1946. Their figure: 40,000 — far below the half-million he would cite after the war. Even this estimate was based on the dubious assumption that Japan could continue to feed, fuel, and arm its troops with the U.S. in almost complete control of the seas and skies.

 The Smithsonian also planned to inform its visitors that some key presidential advisers had urged Truman to drop his demand for “unconditional surrender” and allow Japan to keep the emperor on his throne, an alteration in peace terms that might have led to an almost immediate surrender. Truman rejected that advice, only to grant the same concession after the nuclear attacks.

So here we are, 70 years later, and we seem, if anything, farther than ever from a rejection of the idea that launching atomic warfare on Japanese civilian populations was an act of mercy. Perhaps some future American president will finally apologize for our nuclear attacks, but one thing seems certain: no Japanese survivor of the bombs will be alive to hear it.

PS: dat de keizer van Japan aan mocht blijven na de oorlog, is net zo vreemd als het aanblijven van het grootste deel van de repressieve fascistische overheid daar en die in Duitsland, al moet ik zeggen, dat het sparen van een enorme hoeveelheid mensenlevens, dit dubbel en dwars waard zou zijn geweest……. Overigens zou dit niet in de weg hebben gestaan voor vervolging en berechting na WOII van bijvoorbeeld rechters, politie en legeronderdelen (als de SS).

Venezolaanse regering treedt terecht op tegen de uiterst gewelddadige oppositie!!

Anti-Media bracht afgelopen zaterdag een artikel van Geopolitics Alert over de chaos in Venezuela. De schrijver, Jim Carey stelt dat men in de VS maanden aaneen iedereen aan het woord laat, als deze maar spuugt op de regering Maduro……. Als een religieus voorschrift herhalen de reguliere (massa-) media deze verhalen, die echter maar één kant van het verhaal laten horen, een leugenachtig verhaal, of ronduit leugens wel te verstaan……

Economische isolatie van Venezuela door vooral de VS en onder druk van de VS, hebben velen in diepe ellende gestort, echter de oppositieleiders die beweren in dezelfde ellende te leven, zijn voor het overgrote deel welgestelde figuren, die het aan niets ontbreekt. Opvallend overigens, dat de oligarchen nooit hebben hoeven vluchten, ook niet onder Chavez, deze figuren gooien overdag met stenen en begeven zich ‘s nachts in het nachtleven, waar ze horeca gelegenheden bezoeken, waar het grootste deel van de Venezolanen alleen maar van kan dromen……

De VS heeft haar winkelketens, die supermarkten in Venezuela hebben, al een paar jaar geleden opgedragen de winkels niet langer te bevoorraden, waarmee voor de gewone burgers de ellende begon. Dit is overigens maar één van de maatregelen uit de smerige VS koker…… Vergeleken met Oekraïne en Syrië is er één groot verschil, de VS doet zelfs geen moeite haar steun aan ‘de gematigde oppositie’ (uiterst gewelddadig) te verbergen……

Vanaf 2009 zou de VS 49 miljoen euro in de oppositie van Venezuela hebben gestoken, reken maar dat dit bedrag in de praktijk een stuk hoger ligt……….

Overigens geldt wat betreft het verslaan van de demonstraties en rellen hetzelfde voor de reguliere (massa-) media in de EU landen en dus ook in ons land. Maduro is de kwaaie pier en de oppositie is geweldloos en zo heilig als Maria……. Terwijl het grootste geweld wordt gebruikt door deze oppositie……..

Why the Venezuelan Government Is Right to Resist the Venezuelan Opposition

(GPA) — The US corporate media has spent months championing the cause of everyone they know in Venezuela, even the slightest of publicly known figures, as long as they are willing to go on record and slander the government of Nicolas Maduro. These quotes are religiously parroted by every major US media outlet that only wants readers, viewers and listeners to hear one side of the ongoing fight in Venezuela.
This article is meant to help clear up a lot of the questions that are left unanswered by US media, and to do that, we have to dissect a few key aspects of the current situation. In order to understand the Venezuelan opposition better, we should look closely at three key pieces of this puzzle:

  1. Who the opposition is and the methods they use.
  2. US backing of the opposition and what happens in other countries where US backed opposition is allowed to operate.
  3. And finally, what exactly the alleged “brutal crackdowns” by Maduro have actually entailed.

The Venezuelan Opposition: Peaceful Resistance or the ‘Moderate Rebels’ of Caracas?

If your primary source for news on the crisis in Venezuela is the US corporate media, it’s likely you have a certain image that comes to mind when you hear about the Venezuelan opposition. If you believe outlets like CNN or The New York Times it’s likely you conjure up an image of the opposition as a faceless mass of hungry and poor people risking it all to stand against tyranny in a massive fight for some subjective concepts like “freedom.”
Now this idea of brave everyday people protesting on the ground level probably has some truth behind it, but like most “uprisings” of this nature, the civilians in the street aren’t the ones responsible for the planning and logistics behind the scenes. The truth however, is that the forces that are actually behind this AstroTurf movement* are much more sinister than the average protester and promote methods that are well beyond anything that would be considered ‘peaceful and democratic’ opposition.
The opposition leaders may claim they share in the suffering endured by regular Venezuelans, and feel the same pain as those hurt the most by the economic isolation of the country but this is hardly the reality of their lives. In truth, many of the people who are seen as the leaders of the anti-Maduro movement (and who provide organizers essential financial support) live lives of extreme comfort and luxury while their pawns go hungry.
Many of the opposition leaders and financiers actually come from the wealthiest strata of Venezuelan society. While almost everyone is aware that the main driver of the Venezuelan economy is the nationalized oil industry, many people overlook or are unaware of the fact that most other sectors of the Venezuelan economy are still in the hands of private businesses.
Despite what many people may assume, both Chavez and Maduro had no problem with this arrangement. The most obvious example of this acceptance is the fact that even people like the pre-Chavez corrupt former oil tycoons still remain in Caracas with their stockpiles of ill-gotten wealth. These are the people who, in their own words, admit that “by day we throw stones,” and by night enjoy the exclusive night life that regular Venezuelans couldn’t even dream of. These oligarchs and crooks have opposed the government since Hugo Chavez won his first election and began distributing the nation’s wealth to the most poor Venezuelans as well as subsidizing and placing price controls on consumer goods.
And throwing stones isn’t all the opposition does.
Contrary to the rosy image of the opposition painted by US media the truth is that violence is one of their primary tools. The opposition has done everything from hiring poor local teens and providing them crude weapons like molotov cocktails and explosives, calling on international banks to cut off capital and further harm average Venezuelans to encouraging a military coup against the elected government. We know this is true, in part, thanks to independent US journalists who have been brave enough to expose the truth, such as Abby Martin, who opposition protesters promptly threatened to hang.

Now, you may be asking yourself, how does the opposition have the nerve to claim legitimacy and moral superiority while using such despicable methods? The answer to this question should be obvious based on earlier statements about US media’s representation of the opposition. The opposition’s claim of legitimacy is supported by the same people who support violent uprisings from Ukraine to Syria, the US government.
The Open Secret of US Subversion in Venezuela
Much like the recent history of Ukraine or Syria, the opposition in Venezuela persists thanks to political and financial support from Washington. Unlike Ukraine and Syria however, the US doesn’t even attempt to hide their connections to the oligarchs opposing Maduro.
The US shoves this support into the spotlight as an obvious insult to Maduro with the traditional arrogance that is expected when the US exercises what they consider to be their right to interfere in Latin America. There is such an absence of shame in the case of Venezuela that the Trump regime has no problem broadcasting events like when Trump met with the wife of opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, who himself has taken calls from prominent US figures like Vice-President Mike Pence.
Opposition leaders don’t just enjoy the political lip service that the US gives to anyone who opposes leaders Washington hates. As mentioned above, one major factor that allows the opposition to carry on this way is the millions of dollars sent from the US over the past few years.
Money for the Venezuelan opposition is a crucial piece of Washington’s long-game strategy to topple the Bolivarian government. This cash has been flowing to Caracas since at least 2009, adding up to at least $49 million to date. Congress’ stated purpose behind this “aid” for Venezuela is the same as it is for any country hostile to the US: “promoting democracy, civil society, independent media, and democratic political parties.”
In the 2011 budget, $1 million was specifically designated for “political competition,” showing that similar to US strategies in places like the Middle East, Washington was supporting a mediocre and artificial opposition and waiting for an opportunity to unleash their manufactured leaders. In Venezuela this chance finally presented itself when the price of oil drastically dropped, in part due to market manipulation by the US.
When you lay out all the above factors, it should be obvious why Nicolas Maduro is so committed to fending off his opponents’ attacks. If you look at other countries where the US has used tactics like those employed in Venezuela, Maduro is relatively lucky that it took this long for the opposition to become violent.
Syria, Ukraine and the End Result of US Failures
Two countries where these US policies failed due to either the unexpected resilience of the state (Syria), or the failure to predict organic resistance to intervention (Ukraine), most likely serve as examples of what’s at stake to Maduro.
Syria is a case study in what happens when a “revolution” backed by the US ends, in what is essentially, a failure. Just like Venezuela, the US was so ecstatic that they finally saw an opportunity to topple President Bashar Al Assad that Washington was practically falling all over themselves to find groups to arm and fund.
This ambition for Syria of course ended with the US placing their trust in a variety of Sunni extremists who – predictably – had no intention of taking orders from the CIA or Pentagon. Washington even allowed their future foes in the Islamic State to operate freely with the hope they would get to Damascus. Venezuela’s opposition looks similar to these groups just in a different context. In fact, the Venezuelan opposition even held a fake referendum similar to ridiculous votes organized by the US’s precious Kurds.
Ukraine should also serve as an example; not just to Maduro but to the US and the opposition as well. If the US has their way in Venezuela and basically forces an unpopular oligarch into power they should expect resistance from the millions of people who benefited from and still support the current government. They should also prepare for new dissenters once the new government is installed and actually lays out their presumably neoliberal policies, which aren’t popular anywhere in Central of South America.
These reasons show why the only option available to Maduro is to resist. At the government level Maduro has worked completely within the confines of the law, while still enjoying massive support as evidenced by Venezuela’s voters support for the new Constituent Assembly in a country known for it’s election integrity. As far as what is happening at the street level, we must make sure we take the opposition’s actions into account and understand the damage they could eventually do.

Militair ingrijpen is inderdaad de laatste stap die de VS in deze gevallen neemt, nadat het de economie van een land voor een groot deel heeft vernietigd en een opstand op poten heeft gezet die niet leidt tot het juiste doel, een ‘correcte’ VS belangenbehartiging, door het liefst een VS vriendelijke dictator (die op zijn beurt schijt heeft aan het arme deel van de bevolking in zijn land…)……..

Zoals gewoonlijk zijn de westerse ministers van Buitenlandse Zaken, zoals PvdA doedelzak Koenders, weer doodstil over deze grove opmerking, uh beter: openlijke bedreiging met oorlog……. Met andere woorden: men vindt het wel best als er alweer door toedoen van de VS duizenden, of zelfs tienduizenden doden vallen…. De NAVO schijnt intussen al aanwezig te zijn in Columbia, een buurland van Venezuela, dus…………

‘Utopia’ is een programmaonderdeel in het Radio1 programma OVT waarmee de ongelofelijke hufter en monkelend presentator Jos Palm alsnog zijn overheersende stempel weet te drukken op de zomerprogrammering van OVT, terwij hij zelf met vakantie is……. Daarbij heeft hij niet de hulp van één van zijn collega’s presentatoren van OVT, maar van Julie Blussé, blijkbaar een vrouw waar Palm wel wat in ziet………

Utopia n.a.v. het boek van Thomas More, dat vorig jaar 500 jaar bestond. ‘Ondertitel’ van de serie: ‘Een serie over dromers en doemdenkers…’ Opvallend dat men als tune het nummer ‘Utopia’ van Goldfrapp gebruikt, terwijl de geweldige zangeres, muzikant, componist en producer Alison Goldfrapp in dit nummer vooral wijst op het onder de fascisten in Italië destijds in zwang zijnde Utopische ideaalbeeld……..

Vorige week zondag (6 augustus) was het de beurt aan Marx om doorgezaagd te worden door ‘deskundigen’ waaronder Jolande Withuis. Uiteraard werden de Sovjet Unie, China en Noord Korea neergezet als zijnde communistische staten, gebaseerd op de denkbeelden va Marx……. Daar valt echter, om het maar voorzichtig te zeggen, het e.e.a. aan op te merken. Laat ik niet te lang uitweiden en het tot één cruciaal punt beperken: deze voorbeelden waren en zijn deels dictatoriaal geregeerde staten, zeg maar gerust politiestaten….. Politiestaten die door een relatief kleine groep welgestelde ambtenaren (bestuur, politie en strijdkrachten) worden bestuurd, uiteraard met een ‘mooie rol’ van de grote bedrijven, die zich prima voelen in een dergelijke maatschappij………

Kijk en als Marx aan één ding de pest had, was het wel aan op dergelijke manier bestuurde landen, waar de gelijkheid ver te zoeken was en nog is. Al moet gezegd worden dat dit niet meer geldt voor het huidige Rusland, daar het niet meer als ‘communistisch’ wordt gezien en dat ook niet is (precies zoals dit ten tijde van de Sovjet Unie niet zo was)……… Ook onder Stalin hadden de hoge ambtenaren en partijleiders een welvarend leven, inclusief een buitenhuis en dure vakanties….

De enorme koekwaus Withuis stelde dat bepaalde zaken in het door Marx en Engels geschreven manifest niet kloppen. Zo stelde ze dat het in de 19de eeuw in Groot-Brittannië echt niet zo was, dat de maatschappij alleen maar bestond uit arbeiders en rijke fabriekseigenaren……. Goh, meen je dat nou Withuis? Dus er waren ook boeren, bakkers landarbeiders en ga nog maar een half uur door…… Jezus wat een opmerking, of Marx en Engels van de pot gerukt waren en niet begrepen hoe de maatschappij werkte, een maatschappij waarin zij NB zelf leefden…….

Eén ding is zeker de grote onderlaag in de Britse 19de eeuw (overigens in heel Europa) was straatarm, honger eiste haar tol en in heftige winters waren de dodenaantallen gigantisch (overigens nog in de 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw, overleden er veel oude Britten tijdens de winter, wegens gebrek aan brandstof voor hun kachels……)…….

Overigens was het contingent aan fabrieksarbeiders enorm in de 19de eeuw, waar zelfs kinderen werden gebruikt als arbeiders, kinderen die niet zelden werkdagen van meer dan 12 uur maakten. Niet voor niets schreven Marx en Engels tegen die enorme mensonwaardige uitbuiting door de rijke fabriekseigenaren…… Ach ja, Withuis is intussen de 160 jaar al gepasseerd en ‘zo kan zij het beter weten dan wie ook…..’

Withuis noemt zich o.a. feministe en moest nog even fijntjes zeggen, dat marxisme seksistisch is……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Waar haalt ze de nonsens vandaan?? De meeste vrouwen van fabrieksarbeiders werkten in de grote textielfabrieken, logisch dat ook zij onderwerp waren van het Marxisme. Zo schreef Engels in zijn boek: ‘De oorsprong van het gezin, de privé-eigendom en de staat’, dat de onderdrukking van de vrouw niet uit de lucht kwam vallen, maar een product was van de ‘opkomende’ klassenmaatschappij…..*

Marx en Engels verzetten zich zelfs hevig tegen een resolutie op de Eerste Internationale in 1866, waarmee men de vrouw uit het productieproces probeerde te duwen (dit onder pleitbezorger Lasalle)…….. Maar nee, Withuis weet het beter……..

Tot slot hoorde ik Withuis nog opmerken dat het heel erg eng is (hoor), als je denkt en vindt dat het anders kan…… (dan de huidige inhumane ijskoude neoliberale maatschappij…… Ap) Nee hè Withuis, daar moet jij niet aan denken, veronderstel dat iedereen nu eens echt gelukkig zou kunnen worden, dat er geen mensen meer worden uitgebuit door westerse en andere geldhaaien, een wereld waar iedereen toegang heeft tot een goed en betaalbaar onderdak, goed en betaalbaar onderwijs** en goede en betaalbare gezondheidszorg…… Een wereld waar men geld uitgeeft om het volk een beter leven te geven, i.p.v. kapitalen in een donkere oorlogsput donderen, of miljarden te laten verdwijnen in de kluizen van de financiële- en bouwmaffia………. Een wereld waar honger, (makkelijk te genezen) ziekten en armoede eindelijk echt worden teruggedrongen………

Een wereld die Withuis niet wenst, waarin een land als de VS wordt belet de ene na de andere illegale oorlog te beginnen, een wereld waarin het geloof voorgoed een kleine bijrol op het persoonlijke vlak zal spelen, waar de jongere generaties niet meer worden gehersenspoeld met het gif van religies, gif waarmee men de grote uitgebuite onderlaag belazerd en belooft dat het echte leven pas na dit leven begint, dus even hard doorwerken (en afzien), ben je na je dood in het paradijs……. (ofwel: Utopia…..)

Mensen wat een ongelofelijk staaltje hypocrisie: gistermorgen op Radio1, BBC World Service en WDR5 (plus gegarandeerd de rest van de reguliere westerse media) in de berichtgeving over de gebeurtenissen tijdens een demonstratie van neonazi’s* in Charlottesville, Virginia (VS) en een tegendemonstratie van antifascisten, plus andere mensen, die het rechtse geweld (zowel fysiek als geestelijk), in eigen land meer dan zat zijn, werd gesteld dat ‘een vrouw was omgekomen‘ toen een rechtse demonstrant met zijn auto inreed op vreedzame demonstranten…….

Drie punten die bij voornoemde radiozenders niet te horen waren: die mevrouw werd vermoord middels een terreuraanslag door wat niet anders genoemd kan worden dan een (smerige) neonazi!!

Hier de tekst van de NOS webpagina:

‘De betoging trok ook veel tegendemonstranten. Zij werden zaterdag aangevallen. Een man reed met zijn auto in op de groep mensen. Een persoon overleed en 19 mensen raakten gewond‘.

Het woord ‘terreuraanslag’ ontbreekt, de woorden ‘vreedzame demonstranten’ ontbreken en het woord ‘neonazi’ (‘ een man….’) ontbreekt in deze alinea…….. Is het gvd niet treurig? Berichtgeving van de onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde NOS, betaald met ons belastinggeld…… En dan wel commentaar durven leveren op de uitlatingen van Trump, die de neonazi’s niet noemde in zijn reactie……..

Als er op hetzelfde tijdstip in Charlottesville of waar dan ook in de ‘westerse wereld’ een radiale moslim was ingereden op mensen, had men op zeker, de reguliere programmering deels onderbroken, om de luisteraars op de hoogte te houden van deze islamitische terreuraanslag……… En oh wat was men dan blij geweest, opgepompte sensatie door de reguliere media met harde veroordelingen en hypocriete steunbetuigingen………..

Dit alles ‘natuurlijk’ zonder enige aandacht voor de reden waarom geradicaliseerde moslims geweld gebruiken: de enorme westerse terreur in het Midden-Oosten…. Dit inclusief het bombarderen van Libië, waardoor dit land van het rijkste land van Afrika, werd teruggebombardeerd tot bijna het armste, een land dat nu in een enorm agressieve chaos is gedompeld, met dank aan illegale oorlogsvoering van het westen, o.l.v. de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS……

Over steunbetuigingen gesproken: waar waren PvdA hufter Koenders, VVD kloothommel Rutte en het nationale waterhoofd W.A. met hun veroordeling van deze neonazi terreuraanslag op vreedzame demonstranten?? Demonstranten die de haatzaaierij en terreur van de fascisten in hun land spuugzat zijn………….

Nog even over de NOS: gisteravond rond 19.00 u. was het bericht over Charlottesville op de webpagina van de NOS al ver naar de achtergrond verdrongen, hetzelfde bericht waarvan u hierboven een citaat kon lezen……. Er waren ‘veel belangrijker zaken’ die eerder werden genoemd, zoals: ‘Sprookje komt uit: fotomodel uit Lisse wordt morgen Maleisische prins‘, ‘Merkel nu ook op campagne. Worden Duitse verkiezingen nog spannend?‘, ‘Slowaakse sneltrein verliest tijdens de rit zijn locomotief‘, ‘Kluivert en Davids op de foto met dictator Mugabe‘ (ach ja, eens een verkrachter en auto-terrorist…..), ‘Oranje-ster Lieke Martens gehuldigd in geboorteplaats Nieuw Bergen‘, ‘Noord-Korea is een intrigerend land, ook voor Chinese dagjesmensen‘ en ‘Elon Musk haalt meer dan verwacht op voor Tesla Model 3……’ U snapt uiteraard waar het nieuws uit Charlottesville had gestaan, als het een terreuraanslag van een radicale moslim betrof, juist: bovenaan!!

Is het niet om schijtziek van te worden? Gadver!!

Vroege Vogels presentator Menno Bentveld moet in de supermarkt kwijlen als hij biefstuk ziet…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

In Vroege Vogels vorige week zondag aandacht voor paddenstoelen, met name voor de biefstukzwam.

Bentveld, de presentator was net terug van vakantie en merkte tijdens het gesprek met een deskundige op, dat hij moest ‘watertanden’ bij het zien van de biefstukzwam, niet als paddenstoeleneter, maar als lijkenvreter……..

Meermaals heeft Bentveld NB in Vroege Vogels laten weten dat hij een fervente lijkenvreter is. Zo had hij al eens het eten van vergaste of neergeschoten ganzen in het programma….. Moet u nagaan in Vroege Vogels…. In een andere aflevering was hij echt kwaad, toen bleek dat een oestervisser (normaal toch, zo’n dierenbeul in VV??) geen oesters overhad, zodat hij er niet een paar had kunnen eten, dit daar hij naar buiten was geweest met een andere gast………*

Vroege Vogels is een natuurprogramma met de aandacht vooral op dieren en hun welzijn gericht. Hoe is het mogelijk, dat een figuur als Bentveld nog steeds dit programma mag presenteren??

Voor de zendgemachtigde die Vroege Vogels brengt, de VARA (spreekbuis van de PvdA), zijn de luister- en kijkcijfers leidend, niet de moraal en niet de ethische kant van een dergelijk programma…… Nee, vooral niet spreken over de vreselijke gevolgen van vlees eten voor: -de dieren, -de mens zelf (we zijn niet gebouwd als carnivoren, bovendien vergroot de drang naar vlees het wereldvoedselprobleem) en -de natuur…….

Voor iedere kilo vlees is gemiddeld 5 kilo groente nodig en een enorme sloot drinkwater. Groente die voor het grootste deel in ontwikkelingslanden en landen als Brazilië wordt verbouwd…… Ontwikkelingslanden kampen zoals u wellicht weet, voor een groot deel met een drinkwatertekort en de teelt van groente als soja voor diervoer gaat ten koste van drinkwater voor de bewoners van die landen….. Voor de verbouwing van (gentech) soja in Brazilië wordt een steeds groter deel van het Amazonewoud gekapt dan wel verbrand….. Zo heeft de corrupte Braziliaanse regering Temer de rechten van de oorspronkelijke bewoners in het Amazonewoud, meestal aangeduid als ‘indianen’, verder teruggebracht, met vergunningen voor bomenkap in de gebieden waar deze mensen wonen…….

Dan nog alle gesleep: -met die groente voor diervoer, -met dieren, -met de kadavers van dieren en delen daarvan, levert een enorme luchtvervuiling op en daarmee wordt de klimaatverandering fiks aanjaagt (dat gebeurt overigens ook al door de kap of verbranding van oerwoud t.b.v. diervoer)…… De uitstoot van methaangas in de intensieve veehouderij is een andere grote aanjager van diezelfde klimaatverandering, daar methaangas een sterk broeikasgas is……….. Zo wordt in Nederland jaarlijks een half miljard (!!!) dieren groot en doodgemarteld in de intensieve veehouderij………

Ondanks dat mag kloothommel Bentveld, die meermaals heeft aangegeven carnivoor te zijn, Vroege Vogels presenteren, een figuur die bovendien voor het programma en zijn vakanties, zelf al een fikse bijdrage levert aan de klimaatverandering met al zijn vliegreizen over de wereld………

Hufter Bentveld wordt met belastinggeld betaald (en niet te weinig!!)………………

Hoe is ‘t in godsnaam mogelijk??

Trouwens onbegrijpelijk dat de luisteraars van Vroege Vogels niet massaal in protest komen, tegen deze hypocriete patjepeeër……..

A Woman’s Place Is Apparently in the Grow House

(FEE) — The stigma surrounding marijuana is rapidly disappearing. Medical and recreational use is increasing dramatically. Today an entirely new sector is breaking “grass” ceilings as never before.
Marijuana plants can be either male or female. Only female plants can yield the “bud” that both black and legal markets seek. It is poetic, then, that women are dominating the legalized cannabis industry.
A Green Frontier
You might not associate the divine feminine with something as “unsavory” as smoking weed. But as the old Reefer Madness era comes to an end, it has become apparent to most of society that everyone knows someone who smokes weed and – spoiler alert! – they are not all lazy and living on their parents’ couch.
As the medicinal properties of the plant continue to become more known, it is also becoming commonplace to meet normal, successful people who partake of the plant because it calms their anxiety, helps them sleep, or even prevents seizures. As this has helped normalize cannabis use, it is also paving the way for a new green economy whose possibilities are almost without limits.
Dispensaries, grow houses, and supply stores are just a few of the businesses that have been and will continue to be developed as legalization spreads throughout the country, but this doesn’t even include the possibility of hemp and all the products derived therein, not to mention the various medical uses that can exist separate from the recreation world. The economic potential for marijuana is huge and women are running the show.
According to research done by Marijuana Business Daily, 36 percent of the industry’s executive positions are held by women. On its face value this may not appear to be a giant leap forward for womankind, but when compared to other fields it becomes obvious that there is something truly unique about women in the marijuana industry.
In the traditional medical industry, for example, women only hold 14.6 percent of the executive positions, almost half of those in the legal cannabis market. But the numbers only get better from here.
When it comes to the testing and lab work fields of the green market, women hold 63 percent of the executive positions. Unlike other market sectors that were around long before females were even permitted to hold such high-level positions, legalized cannabis is the first industry in the country where female executives are actually in the majority.
Why?
Women have been trying to overcome professional hurdles since they first entered the business world. However, since societal norms were not always so accepting of females having a life outside of the home, women were late to the game, so to speak. Of course, this made breaking into the professional world incredibly difficult as all the high-level positions were held by men who had already established their careers.
However, the legal cannabis industry is a Tabula Rasa. The entire sector is a frontier of possibilities without any pre-existing prejudices. For women especially, this opportunity is a game changer and one that, as Newsweek hypothesizes, could make the legal cannabis industry the “first billion-dollar industry not dominated by men.”
While stricter regulations are sure to come in the next several years, in the early days of weed legalization, much of the potrepreneur world is learning along the way. But without a pre-established set of rules dictating who can and cannot enter the market, it is really a matter of trial and error, and for some reason, women are also more willing to take risks in this field than men.
Without the barriers to entry that exist in other formerly established industries, women have been able to get in on the ground floor and are starting businesses that are truly unique to the female perspective.
The New Tupperware Parties
Jordan Person, a former nurse and self-described “grandmother of cannabis massage” is the founder of Primal Therapeutics, a cannabis-infused massage therapy business. In Colorado, where Person’s lives, the recreational sale of weed is completely legal. However, public consumption is not. This has led Person, and other women, to utilize what has come to be known as the “Mary Kay” model of business, a thought that never occurred to many male potrepreneurs.
Since Colorado residents can only smoke marijuana on private premises, Person’s entire business is still technically illegal, unless she is giving her reefer rub-downs in private residences. And while this constant movement is not as ideal as having a permanent location, Person does at least save on overhead by making house calls to her clients.
Similarly, Kendal Norris launched the company Mason Jar Events, which specializes in upscale pot-themed parties. Like Person, Kendal’s business also relies on making house calls. These are solutions to problems that women have been coming up with on their own. They have taken a model that originated in a time when women were just beginning to venture outside their own homes by hosting “parties” in the homes of other women. Whether it was Tupperware or makeup, women found a way to create businesses which, at the time, allowed them some freedom from the societal norms that kept them out of bigger sectors.
While these companies were often viewed as “cute” attempts at business female ventures by men, as it turns out, the model itself is now being used in modern times to advance the weed industry in ways many males never even fathomed.
Women aren’t waiting on governments to make their marijuana-based businesses a reality. Instead, they are forging out on their own and taking the risks needed to really pave the way for the cannabis industry to gain relevance in the future.
Women Grow
On the 83rd anniversary of the end of prohibition, the nonprofit organization Women Grow hosted an event that attracted droves of women from a variety of backgrounds and age groups. Featuring panels ranging from topics on marijuana-centered philanthropy to the cultivation of cannabis plants, women come from all over to learn how they can impact this new burgeoning sector.
The significance of this event should not be lost on anyone. For the first time ever, women are being given the opportunity to take the lead in an industry that they have proven themselves well-suited for. And while many politicos await the day a female enters the White House, I for one cannot wait to see women dominating the grow house.

Remembering the Gulf of Tonkin, and the Consequences of Wanting to Believe

(FAIR) — “American Planes Hit North Vietnam After Second Attack on Our Destroyers; Move Taken to Halt New Aggression,” was the Washington Post headline some 53 years ago, on August 5, 1964.
The front page of that day’s New York Times reported: “President Johnson has ordered retaliatory action against gunboats and ‘certain supporting facilities in North Vietnam’ after renewed attacks against American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.”

Of course, as historians now acknowledge, there was no “second attack” by North Vietnam—no “renewed attacks against American destroyers.”
But as activist, author and FAIR associate Norman Solomon has described, including in the film War Made Easy, US journalists reported those official claims as absolute truths, ignoring countervailing evidence and opening the floodgates for the bloody Vietnam War and the deaths of over 50,000 Americans and millions of Southeast Asians.
The official story was that North Vietnamese torpedo boats launched an “unprovoked attack” against the US destroyer Maddox, which was on “routine patrol” in the Tonkin Gulf on August 2—and that North Vietnamese PT boats followed up with a “deliberate attack” two days later, firing 22 torpedoes on the Maddox and another destroyer, Turner Joy.
President Johnson was on television that night, telling Americans that “aggression by terror against the peaceful villagers of South Vietnam has now been joined by open aggression on the high seas against the United States of America,” ordering retaliatory airstrikes representing a momentous escalation of the war, and calling for immediate passage of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, which stated, “Congress approves and supports the determination of the president, as commander in chief, to take all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States and to prevent further aggression.”
“It’s like grandmother’s nightshirt. It covers everything,” Johnson quipped.
The House dispensed with hearings and approved in 40 minutes; the Senate took two days, finally voting 88 to 2 to adopt.
But reality was very different from the tale that Johnson and the press told the public.
The Maddox, which fired first in the earlier skirmish, was not on routine patrol; it was engaged in aggressive intelligence-gathering maneuvers—in sync with coordinated attacks on North Vietnam by the South Vietnamese navy and the Laotian air force.
And as for the second reported attack, the spark for the “retaliatory” airstrikes, it simply never happened. Many historians think the Maddox crew mistook their sonar’s pings off their own rudder for
North Vietnamese torpedoes; Johnson later “joked” they might’ve been shooting at whales.
But it shouldn’t surprise you to know that there was plenty of intelligence at the time suggesting that no attack had occurred; it was just overlooked and obscured—intentionally by warmongers in the government, but also by a credulous press. Sound familiar?
Johnson’s late-night speech won editorial praise. The president, said the New York Times, “went to the American people last night with the somber facts.” The LA Times urged Americans to “face the fact that the Communists, by their attack on American vessels in international waters, have themselves escalated the hostilities.”
As Tom Wells, author of The War Within: America’s Battle Over Vietnam, recounts, US media described the air strikes that Johnson launched in response as merely “tit for tat”—when in reality they reflected plans the administration had already drawn up for gradually increasing its overt military pressure against the North.
The distortion was due to media’s “almost exclusive reliance on US government officials as sources of information”—and their “reluctance to question official pronouncements on ‘national security issues.’”
Congress repealed the Gulf of Tonkin resolution in January of 1971, but that didn’t mean much, since they continued to finance the war. And elite media, evidently, set about a studious forgetting of what columnist Sydney Schanberg called—30 years later, in the midst of another war—the press corps’ “unquestioning chorus of agreeability when Lyndon Johnson bamboozled us with his fabrication of the Gulf of Tonkin incident.”
Americans, Schanberg said, are “the ultimate innocents. We are forever desperate to believe that this time the government is telling us the truth.”

That’s an innocence of course, that we can ill afford—and that journalists, above all, should fight the impulse to indulge.
