Onbegrijpelijk dat men in de reguliere westerse media geen aandacht schenkt aan het feit dat Iran, zwaar getroffen door het Coronavirus, een groot gebrek heeft aan medische middelen om deze crisis te bestrijden, dit door de illegale sancties van de VS…….
De gezondheidszorg in Iran lag grotendeels al op haar gat door diezelfde sancties, ver voor de uitbraak van het Coronavirus……
De westerse reguliere media maken Iran nu nog meer zwart en stellen dat men de uitbraak zou hebben verzwegen, beetje erg vreemd als je ziet dat ook islamitische geestelijken zijn overleden aan het virus (althans aan de gevolgen van het virus)…… Ook vraagt men zich af waar de demonstranten zijn, alsof dat er nu nog toe doet, als je nagaat dat intussen al 6.566 Iraniërs zijn besmet, dit betekent dat 1 op elke 12.000 inwoners van dat land het Coronavirus heeft opgelopen en er intussen minstens 237 zijn overleden*, let wel ‘oude cijfers’ van een paar dagen geleden…..
Door de VS sancties is er bijvoorbeeld ook een tekort aan medicijnen voor de chronische patiënten ten gevolge van de oorlog tussen Irak en Iran in de 80er jaren van de vorige eeuw, mensen die medicijnen nodig hebben voor bijvoorbeeld hun door gifgas aangetaste ogen….. Hierbij moet nog vermeld worden dat de VS en Nederland de hoofdverantwoordelijken zijn voor het gifgasgebruik door Irak tijdens die oorlog, de oorzaak voor o.a. die oogklachten……**
De VS moet onmiddellijk stoppen met de sancties tegen Iran en andere landen, zoals Venezuela, niet alleen in het belang van de mensen in Iran (of die andere landen), maar ook als preventie voor verdere verspreiding buiten dat land, al hebben een aantal landen hun grenzen al gesloten wat betreft mensen en transport vanuit Iran……(vergelijk dat eens met de hysterie en boosheid in de EU over het sluiten van het VS luchtruim voor vluchten uit Europa, vanaf morgennacht 0.00 u……)
Overigens doet de aanpak van het Coranavirus, in combinatie met Iran en China, me denken aan een bericht over het Coronavirus, waarin wordt gesteld dat dit virus uit een VS laboratorium komt…..*** Zeker als je bedenkt dat Iran en China als eerste het hardst werden getroffen, immers als je kwade bedoelingen hebt en je weet dat de gezondheidszorg in een land als Iran zo slecht is, door de sancties die je zelf hebt opgelegd, is het zeker dat het aantal te overlijden slachtoffers tot gigantische proporties zal oplopen……… In feite zijn deze illegale VS sancties dan ook niets anders dan een enorme massamoord op de bevolking van Iran…..
CodePink is een petitie begonnen met de eis dat de sancties tegen Iran onmiddellijk worden gestopt. Gelukkig kunnen wij ook meedoen aan die petitie, lees en teken deze ajb en laat de wereld zien dat er nog steeds een grote groep echte humane mensen over is op de wereld, mensen die het niet pikken als burgers op een dergelijke walgelijke en illegale manier om het leven worden gebracht, want daar komen zoals gezegd de illegale sancties van de VS op neer….. Vergeet niet dat de VS dit al veel vaker heeft gedaan….. Zo zijn de illegale sancties van de VS tegen Venezuela verantwoordelijk voor meer dan 45.000 dode Venezolanen (in feite vermoord door de VS….)…… Ook in Venezuela al langere tijd grote tekorten aan medicijnen e.d., terwijl de VS een paar miljard dollar aan Venezolaanse tegoeden voor o.a. de aankoop in de VS van medicijnen en medische hulpmiddelen heeft geblokkeerd…….
Kortom: nogmaals laat de VS zien de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine planeet te zijn…….

This is bad. Since February 19, when the first coronavirus cases were identified in Iran, at least 6,566 people—about one in every 12,000 Iranians—have been infected. At least 237 people have died. Iran is third, behind China and South Korea, in cases of coronavirus per population. Due to U.S. sanctions, Iran is suffering from a shortage of the medical supplies, products, and equipment required for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of the coronavirus.
We at CODEPINK have been working to get the medical-related sanctions on Iran lifted since an October 2019 Human Rights Watch report was released outlining how the Trump administration’s “maximum pressure” campaign is preventing life-saving medicines from entering the country. Finally, last week, with the coronavirus outbreak, the Treasury Department announced that it would waive certain sanctions for humanitarian supplies to go through Iran’s central bank. But it is far too little, too late, as the financial risks and reputational costs for companies to engage in even lawful humanitarian trade with Iran are severe.
Even before the worldwide coronavirus epidemic began, U.S. sanctions on Iran have been wreaking havoc on the Iranian economy. The price of housing, food, and transportation soared. Iranian patients had a difficult time accessing life-saving medicines for cancer, epilepsy, and chronic eye injuries from chemical weapons during the Iran-Iraq war. Decades of U.S. interventions in the Middle East have left the area war-ravaged and in disarray, ripe for the coronavirus tornado that is picking up wind right now in Iran.
In addition to demanding that the Treasury Department lift the sanctions on Iran, we are also taking immediate action to get medical supplies into Iran. The National Iranian-American Council (NIAC) has identified two organizations—Relief International and Moms Against Poverty (MAP)—that have licenses to conduct relief work in Iran. Relief International is supplying face masks, sanitizers, test kits and treatment to affected individuals and Moms Against Poverty is supplying masks, surgical gloves, disinfectant wipes, alcohol wipes, and hand sanitizers to medical clinics and hospitals that serve vulnerable communities, as well as food and other basic necessities to families affected. Donate now to support the efforts of these two organizations addressing the coronavirus epidemic in Iran.
Make no mistake about it, the suffering that the Trump administration is inflicting upon the Iranian people is intentional. In February 2019, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo bragged to CBS News that “things are much worse for the Iranian people [with the U.S. sanctions].”
With the coronavirus whipping across Iran like a tsunami, it is only a matter of time before Trump’s maximum pressure campaign is stigmatized across the world as the dangerous, cruel, and vile act of war that it is. Tulsi Gabbard is één van de Democratische presidentskandidaten, zij is vanwege fikse kritiek op o.a. de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Syrië uit het debat-circuit gegooid, zodat ze het een stuk moeilijker zal krijgen om gekozen te worden….. Hoe is het bijvoorbeeld mogelijk dat deze media (en het grootste deel van de westerse politici) nog steeds de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak verdedigen, terwijl algemeen bekend is dat ook die oorlog is gebaseerd op zware leugens en dat deze oorlog aan rond de 2 miljoen Irakezen het leven heeft gekost……. Zo meldt Wikileaks dat 20 inspecteurs van de OPCW het niet eens zijn met het uiteindelijke rapport van de OPCW over Douma*, daarin zijn feiten op zodanige wijze gemanipuleerd dat het reguliere Syrische leger een gifgasaanval zou hebben uitgevoerd op Douma, volkomen tegen de bevindingen in, waarin wordt gesteld dat deze aanval werd geënsceneerd door zogenaamde rebellen (lees: psychopathisch moordend, verkrachtend en martelend geteisem, dat zelfs werd gesteund door Nederland…)……

Door recente droogte is Mosul weer onder de aandacht gekomen van de internationale media, daar die droogte ervoor zorgde dat een oude ruïne bloot kwam te liggen van een 3.400 jaar oud paleis.
De aandacht van de reguliere westerse media voor Mosul was tijdens ‘de bevrijding’ van die stad vooral wat het VS leger en het Iraakse bewind daarover te zeggen hadden. Zo was Hans Jaap Melissen* één van de ‘journalisten’ die embedded waren bij de VS/Irak coalitie en die verboden werd de stad in te gaan…… Deze zogenaamde oorlogscorrespondenten lepelden braaf op wat hen was voorgekauwd door de propaganda machine van die coalitie……
Met name ‘de bevrijding’ van West-Mosul heeft een enorm aantal doden gekost en waarbij de historische binnenstad werd vernietigd door bombardementen van de VS…… Diverse mensenrechtenorganisaties en zelfs de VN hebben de VS destijds gesmeekt te stoppen met die bombardementen, daar de bewoners van de oude stad zo hutjemutje op elkaar woonden….. (de VS trok zich daar niets van aan….) Dit was dan ook de oorzaak voor het enorme aantal omgekomen burgers bij die bombardementen…….
Na ‘de bevrijding’ van Mosul heeft het Iraakse leger niet gepoogd slachtoffers te bergen, nee men koos ervoor de ruïnes te bulldozeren, met de slachtoffers nog onder het puin. Er moeten tienduizenden burgers zijn omgekomen (men houdt het officieel op het ongeloofwaardig aantal van 10.000; zie de links onder het hieronder opgenomen artikel), echter door het bulldozeren van de ruïnes zullen we nooit weten hoeveel slachtoffers terreurentiteit VS heeft gemaakt met haar terreurbombardementen…..
Intussen leven de teruggekeerde inwoners nog steeds tussen ruïnes en is er een gebrek aan zaken als sanitaire voorzieningen waardoor ziekten de kop opsteken, die de zo geplaagde bevolking nog verder in de ellende storten……
In het hieronder opgenomen artikel gaat de schrijver, T.J. Coles dieper in op deze zaak, o.a. met het noemen van het enorme aantal bommen dat de VS op Irak en Syrië heeft doen neerkomen, waarvan een aanzienlijk deel op Mosul (en later op Raqqa in Syrië), voorts stelt hij nogmaals dat de VS de hoofdverantwoordelijke is voor het ontstaan van IS, de terreurgroep aan wie de VS zelf meermaals wapens en ander militair tuig heeft geleverd…. Recent news of drought has brought Mosul, Iraq, to the attention of Western media; for the drought has led to the discovery of ancient ruins of archaeological significance. But let’s not forget the other news: the UN report on returnees. The refugees are returning to the carnage wrought upon the city by the US and its allies under the pretext of “liberating” it from Daesh: carnage that transformed much of the city to modern ruins.
ANCIENT RUINS DISCOVERED
Mosul is a city in Iraqi Kurdistan with a population of 1.3 million; 60% of whom are Sunni Arabs, around 25% of whom are Kurds. Ongoing drought has brought Mosul to the attention of Western media, as receding water levels at Kemune reservoir reveals the ruin of a 3,400 year-old palace. Researchers from the University of Tübingen and the Kurdistan Archaeology Organization reckon that the palace was part of the Mittani Empire (circa 1450-1350 BCE). According to onearchaeological history, “[Mittani’s] end as independent realm can be dated to the time of Hittite king Šuppiluliuma I in the middle of the 14th century BC.”
Echoes of the conquests and rivalry of the ancient past haunt both recent history and the present. The so-called Mosul Question was a territorial dispute in the early-20th century between the British and Ottoman empires, with both parties wanting a share of the region’s oil. In the latter-part of the 20th century, Iraq’s one-time US-British-backed dictator Saddam Hussein launched the Anfal genocide against Kurds who have historic and ongoing links to the region. A couple of years ago, the US-approved leaders of the central Iraqi government and the regional Kurdish authorities squabbled over control of Mosul, anticipating that Daesh would be defeated.
But the discovery of ancient Mittani ruins coincides with darker news. A recent report by the UN International Organization for Migration documents the effects of the US-led coalition bombardment of the city. It begins: “Entire neighborhoods have not yet been rebuilt, basic services are insufficient in some areas, and poor sanitation is contributing to serious public health problems and the spread of diseases. Furthermore,” the report continues, “reports of harassment and violence against civilians by state as well as non-state actors are undermining efforts to build trust in state institutions and authorities.” Western-led humanitarian intervention is the price that Iraqis pay for being an oil-rich, militarily vulnerable nation.
MAKING ENEMIES
Daesh (a.k.a., Islamic State) was largely the by-product of US-British savagery in Iraq. Having left the nation politically and infrastructurally decimated by decades of unprecedented sanctions, military occupation, and divide-and-conquer strategizing, the more extreme Islamic elements in Iraq—backed by foreign powers for their own geostrategic interests—sprouted from fertile ground. The US Army’s Strategic Studies Institute launched an unusually scathing attack on the Bush II administration’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003 and how it and the succeeding Obama administration handled the occupation. Ignoring moral questions and focusing solely on tactics, as well as blaming the US-backed politician Ahmed Chalabi, the report (worth quoting at length) says that the growth of the Islamic State Organization (ISO):
“did not occur in a vacuum … The ISO would not exist, or at this level of severity at least, had the ruling Shia elements in Iraq following the USG [US Government] occupation made the essential, painful choices required to pursue a new social compact with the nation’s Sunni population. Or, had the USG not operationalized Ahmad Chalabi’s long-dreamt of goal of imposing a punitive de-Ba’athification,”
meaning the dismantling of Iraq’s political, military, and policing infrastructure. It goes on:
“Or, had the USG not imposed the disastrous policy of dissolving the Iraqi armed forces and security forces, numbering in the hundreds of thousands; or had been prepared for a Sunni insurgency; or had developed a realistic post-occupation, longer-term stabilization policy based in a keen and learned awareness that the USG’s decapitation, occupation, and empowerment of Iraq’s Shia would profoundly destabilize an existing equilibrium in Iraq; or understood that the decapitation of the Iraqi regime would profoundly alter the terms of the broader Sunni-Shia rivalry inaugurated by the emergence of a Shia revolutionary State in 1979, and thereby further energizing proponents and antagonists who view this schism as a difference so wide as that between God and the Devil; or, finally, had the USG not first gone into Iraq the wrong way, and later repeated the error by disengaging from Iraq the wrong way.”
Even though US-British violence created Daesh, the US-British answer to defeating Daesh was more violence.
AIR AND GROUND WAR
In June 2014, Daesh took Mosul, triggering a refugee flight of half a million. According to the timeline, by September ten Arab majority states announced their participation in the US-led anti-Daesh coalition. Britain started bombing Iraq, again, on September 30th with Paveway IV and Brimstone missiles. As well as using Reaper drones in its anti-Daesh operations, the UK supplied 275 ground troops. By the end of the destruction of Mosul, the UK had 600 personnel on the ground in Iraq. Maj. Gen. Rupert Jones boasted that “the UK was the second biggest contributor from a military perspective in the campaign.” According to Forces.Net, the British Army trained 75,000 Iraqi military personnel at Camp Taji and other bases. Many of those who fought in Mosul committed war crimes, including torturing and murdering alleged Daesh members. In particular, the US-trained 16th Division executed suspects, including children.
These atrocities pale in comparison to the devastation of the aerial bombardments.
In 2016, the US-led coalition dropped 30,743 bombs on Iraq and Syria. In 2017, it dropped 39,577. In 2018, the coalition dropped over 6,800 bombs. In February 2018, Pehr Lodhammar of the UN Mine Action Service reported that the “liberation” of Mosul had left 11 million tonnes of debris, burying two-thirds of the unexploded bombs (UXB). The anti-mine, anti-UXB operations will take the UN a decade to complete; assuming that their budget isn’t reduced. It took the agency 12 months to remove 25,000 explosive remnants in Mosul alone. The BBC reported that UK Ministry of Defence bombs “malfunctioned and strayed off target” sometimes by “hundreds of metres,” adding to the civilian death toll which reached up to 10,000; 11,000, according to the same Forces.Net source noted above. Mosul resident and civilian, Abdel Rahman Ali, lost five children to the blitz. “Nobody destroyed us except the coalition,” he told the BBC.
In its written evidence to the British government, Amnesty International says: “Our field research constitutes prima facieevidence that Coalition strikes, which killed and injured civilians in Syria and Iraq, violated International Humanitarian Law (IHL).” Criticizing what it calls a “crisis in accountability,” Save the Children’s written evidence notes that $700 million-worth of damage was wrought on each of Mosul’s 54 residential districts. Save the Children concludes: “In Mosul, the UN Security Council also found that at least 4200 civilians were killed by EWIPA [explosive weapons with wide-area effects in populated areas] between October 2016 and July 2017. Research undertaken by the UN suggests that in such settings, over 90 percent of the casualties are civilians.”
IN CONCLUSION
Instead of being decapitated and immolated by Daesh, thousands of inhabitants of Mosul were blown to pieces and incinerated by US-British bombs. UN International Organization for Migration’s recent report notes that, at its peak, nearly one million residents fled the city. By now, 350,000 or so remain “internally displaced persons” (IDPs). “Many IDPs are unable to return because their houses have been destroyed, either by [Daesh] or during the battle, and renting or buying new property is prohibitively expensive.” They are some of the millions of refugees generated by the US-British imperial war machine. Mosul is a small part of a much larger tragedy: one of US global hegemony in the age of Full Spectrum Dominance.

De show van Stephen Colbert is een propaganda orgaan voor de rechtse democraten en is dat in feite al heel lang. Daarmee staat Colbert ook achter de illegale oorlogen die onder de democratische ‘vredesduif’ Obama werden aangegaan, dit onder regie van zijn rechterhand destijds Hillary Clinton (minister van BuZa), een oorlogsmisdadiger van formaat…..
Colbert had onlangs de democraat Tulsi Gabbard in zijn show en in tegenstelling tot de omgang met andere politici van de Democratische Partij, was dit geen gesprek met opgeklopte ‘humor’.
Colbert probeerde Gabbard zelfs in het kamp te duwen van fascist David Duke (voormalig Ku Klux Klan top), en dat van rechtse rotzakken als Steve Bannon en Matt Gaetz……
Wat betreft de illegale oorlogen van de VS, liet Colbert ten overvloede in zijn gesprek met Gabbard blijken dat hij die volledig steunt, ondanks het enorme aantal doden en landen die in puin achterblijven als de VS klaar is met haar grootschalige terreur tegen in feite de bevolking van de landen die het illegaal aanvalt…..
Ook de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen het bewind van Assad kwam ter sprake, waar Gabbard Colbert fijntjes liet weten dat de CIA in 2011 de ‘opstand’ tegen Assad heeft georganiseerd en geregisseerd en dat de oorlog van de VS in dat land niet gericht was tegen IS, maar tegen het bewind van Assad, waar ze ook de wapenleveringen aan terreurgroepen als IS en militaire training door de VS aan die terreurgroepen noemde…..
Jammer dat ze Assad wel een dictator noemt, terwijl hij met grote meerderheid democratisch tot president werd verkozen in 2014, een verkiezing die door internationale waarnemers als eerlijk en goed werd beoordeeld……
Vergeet voorts niet dat onder Assad alle geloven hand in hand naast elkaar leefden, een zaak die door handelingen van de VS bijna de nek werd omgedraaid…. Gelukkig leven de teruggekeerde vluchtelingen, in de gebieden die door het reguliere Syrische leger worden gecontroleerd, weer vreedzaam naast elkaar, ongeacht het geloof dat men aanhangt……
Helaas voor Colbert, maar hij is geen partij voor Gabbard die hem flink bij de lurven had >> lezen en zien mensen!!
Hawaii Congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where instead of the light, jokey banter about politics and who she is as a person that Democratic presidential candidates normally encounter on late night comedy programs, the show’s host solemnly ran down a list of textbook beltway smears against Gabbard and made her defend them in front of his audience.
Normally when a Democratic Party-aligned politician appears on such a show, you can expect jokes about how stupid Trump is and how badly they’re going to beat the Republicans, how they’re going to help ordinary Americans, and maybe some friendly back-and-forth about where they grew up or something. Colbert had no time to waste on such things, however, because this was not an interview with a normal Democratic Party-aligned politician: this was a politician who has been loudly and consistently criticizing US foreign policy.
After briefly asking his guest who she is and why she’s running for president, Colbert jumped right into it by immediately bringing up Syria and Assad, the primary line of attack employed against Gabbard by establishment propagandists in American mainstream media.
Colbert: Do you think the Iraq war was worth it?
Gabbard: No.
Colbert: Do you think that our involvement in Syria has been worth it?
Gabbard: No.
Colbert: Do you think that ISIS could have been defeated without our involvement and without our support of the local troops there?
Gabbard: There are two things we need to address in Syria. One is a regime change war that was first launched by the United States in 2011, covertly, led by the CIA. That is a regime change war that has continued over the years, that has increased the suffering of the Syrian people, and strengthened groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS, because the CIA was using American taxpayer dollars to provide arms and training and equipment to these terrorist groups to get them to overthrow the government. So that is a regime change war that we should not have been engaging.
Colbert: So, but if it is someone like Bashar al-Assad, who gasses his own people, or who engages in war crimes against his own people, should the United States not be involved?
Gabbard: The United States should not be intervening to overthrow these dictators and these regimes that we don’t like, like Assad, like Saddam Hussein, like Gaddafi, and like Kim Jong Un. There are bad people in the world, but history has shown us that every time the United States goes in and topples these dictators we don’t like, trying to end up like the world’s police, we end up increasing the suffering of the people in these countries. We end up increasing the loss of life, but American lives and the lives of people in these countries. We end up undermining our own security, what to speak of the trillions of dollars of taxpayer money that’s spent on these wars that we need to be using right here at home.
Like I said, this is not a normal presidential candidate. How often do you see a guest appear on a network late night talk show and talk about the CIA arming terrorists in Syria and the fact that US military interventionism is completely disastrous? It just doesn’t happen. You can understand, then, why empire propagandist Stephen Colbert spent the rest of the interview informing his TV audience that Tulsi Gabbard is dangerous and poisonous.
This was unwatchable. Colbert just went down the list of scripted Gabbard smears (Assad, David Duke) then sermonized about how US military intervention is a force for good in this world. All without telling a single joke. Late night “comedy” shows are propaganda for livestock.

Colbert: You got some heat for meeting with Bashar al-Assad. Do you not consider him a war criminal? Why did you meet with that man?
Gabbard: In the pursuit of peace and security. If we are not willing to meet with adversaries, potential adversaries, in the pursuit of peace and security, the only alternative is more war. That’s why I took that meeting with Assad. In pursuit of peace and security.
Colbert: Do you believe he is a war criminal? Do you believe he gassed his own people or committed atrocities against his own people?
Gabbard: Yes. Reports have shown that that’s a fact.
Colbert: So you believe the intelligence agencies on that. Because I head that you did not necessarily believe those reports.
The reason I call Colbert a propagandist and not simply a liberal empire loyalist who happens to have been elevated by billionaire media is because these are carefully constructed narratives that he is reciting, and they weren’t constructed by him.
Trying to make it look to the audience as though Gabbard is in some way loyal to Assad has been a high-priority agenda of the mainstream media ever since she announced her presidential candidacy.
We saw it in her recent appearance on The View, where John McCain’s sociopathic daughter called her an “Assad apologist” and demanded that Gabbard call Assad an enemy of the United States. We saw it in her recent CNN town hall, where a consultant who worked on Obama’s 2008 campaign was presented as an ordinary audience member to help CNN’s Dana Bash paint Gabbard’s skepticism of intelligence reports about an alleged chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government as something that is weird and suspicious, instead of the only sane position in a post-Iraq invasion world. We saw it in her appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe last month, where the entire panel piled on her in outrage that she wouldn’t call Assad an enemy of the United States. It’s such a common propaganda talking point that the New York Times‘ Bari Weiss famously made a laughingstock of herself by repeating it as self-evident truth on The Joe Rogan Experience without having the faintest clue what specific facts it was meant to refer to, just because she’d heard establishment pundits saying it so much.
This is an organized smear by the mass media attempting to marry Gabbard in the eyes of the public to a Middle Eastern leader whom the propagandists have already sold as a child-murdering monster, and Colbert is participating in it here just as much as the serious news media talking heads are. It’s been frustrating to watch Gabbard fold to this smear campaign by acting like it’s an established fact that Assad “gases his own people” and not the hotly contested empire-serving narrative she knows it is.
Gabbard is being targeted by this smear because she challenges US political orthodoxy on military violence (the glue which holds the empire together), so no amount of capitulation will keep them from trying to prevent the public from trusting her words.

The journalist interrogating Tulsi seems to believe that US forces in Syria are fighting Assad. Tulsi corrects her, says those troops were deployed there to fight ISIS. These people don’t even know what’s happening in the places they want the US to occupy
“I don’t know whether America should be the policemen of the world,” Colbert said after Gabard defended her position.
“It is my opinion that we should not be,” Gabbard replied, causing Colbert to launch into a stuffy, embarrassing sermon on the virtues of interventionism and US hegemony that would make Bill Kristol blush.
“If we are not, though, nature abhors a vacuum, and if we are not involved in international conflicts, or trying to quell international conflicts, certainly the Russians and the Chinese will fill that vacuum. And we will step away from the world stage in a significant way that might destabilize the world, because the United States, however flawed, is a force for good in the world in my opinion. Would you agree with that?”
Again, this is a comedy show.
Gabbard explained that in order to be a force for good in the world the United States has to actually do good, which means not raining fire upon every nation it dislikes all the time. Colbert responded by reading off his blue index card to repeat yet another tired anti-Gabbard smear.
“You’ve gotten some fans in the Trump supporter world: David Duke, Steve Bannon, and, uh, Matt, uh, Gaetz, is that his name? Matt Gaetz? What do you make of how much they like you?”
This one is particularly vile, partly because Gabbard has repeatedly and unequivocally denounced David Duke, who has a long-established and well-known history of injecting himself into the drama of high-profile conversations in order to maintain the illusion of relevance, and partly because it’s a completely irrelevant point that is brought up solely for the purpose of marrying Tulsi Gabbard’s name to a former Ku Klux Klan leader. Colbert only brought this up (and made Newsweek totally squee) because he wanted to assist in that marrying. The fact that there are distasteful ideologies which also happen to oppose US interventionism for their own reasons does not change the undeniable fact that US military interventionism is consistently disastrous and never helpful and robs the US public of resources that are rightfully theirs.
This interview was easily Colbert’s most blatant establishment rim job I’ve ever seen, surpassing even the time he corrected his own audience when they cheered at James Comey’s firing to explain to them that Comey is a good guy now and they’re meant to like him. Colbert’s show is blatant propaganda for human livestock, and the fact that this is what American “comedy” shows look like now is nauseating.
When Tulsi Gabbard first announced her candidacy I predicted that she’d have the narrative control engineers scrambling all over themselves to kill her message, and it’s been even more spectacular than I imagined. I don’t agree with everything she says and does, but by damn this woman is shaking up the establishment narrative matrix more than anybody else right now. She’s certainly keeping it interesting.

America Bombs, Europe Gets the Refugees. That’s Evil
The US Government (with France and a few other US allies) bombs Libya, Syria, etc.; and the US regime refuses to accept any of the resulting refugees — the burdens from which are now breaking the EU, and the EU is sinking in economic competition against America’s international corporations. America’s corporations remain blithely unscathed by not only the refugees that are breaking up the EU, but also by the EU’s economic sanctions against Russia, Iran, and other allies of governments that the US regime is trying to overthrow in its constant invasions and coups. The US Government makes proclamations such as “Assad must go!” — but by what right is the US Government involved, at all, in determining whom the leaders in Syria will be? Syria never invaded the US In fact, Syria never invaded anywhere (except, maybe, Israel, in order to respond against Israel’s invasions). Furthermore, all polling, even by Western pollsters, shows that Bashar al-Assad would easily win any free and fair election in Syria. The US Government claims to support democracy, but it does the exact opposite whenever they want to get rid of a Government that is determined to protect that nation’s sovereignty over its own national territory, instead of to yield it to the US regime, or to any other foreigners. The US regime has virtually destroyed the United Nations.
The US regime, and its allies, have used the Muslim Brotherhood, in order to recruit into Syria the 100,000+ jihadists from around the world to fight to overthrow Syria’s secular Government. Even the BBC’s 13 December 2013 detailed report, “Guide to the Syrian rebels”, made clear that the “Syrian Rebels” were, in fact, overwhelmingly jihadist and largely recruited from abroad. These were hardly democrats. Even a Tony-Blair-founded anti-Assad NGO’s study concluded that “Sixty per cent of major Syrian rebel groups are Islamist extremists” (not just “Islamists” but “Islamist extremists”) and yet the Blair outfit still supported the overthrow of the committed secularist Assad (just as Blair had earlier participated himself in the US regime’s destruction of Iraq).
America is no actual ally of Europe. The Marshall Plan is long-since finished, and America has been taken over by psychopaths who are Europe’s main enemies, not Europe’s friends, at all. (They’re friends of some European aristocracies, but not of any European public, not of even merely one public.)
Iran and Russia should be Europe’s allies — they didn’t cause any of Europe’s problems. America did. America’s intelligence agencies tapped (and probably still tap) the phones of Germany’s Chancellor and practically everybody else, and yet the US regime has the gall to blame Russia for interfering in the political affairs of European countries. If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle ‘black’, then what is? If anything, the EU’s sanctions should be against doing business with American firms — not against doing business with Russian firms, or with Iranian firms. European politicians who support the US support Europe’s top enemy.
Russia is, itself, a European country, which additionally traverses much of Asia, but America is no European country, at all, and yet now is so brazen as to demand that Europe must do America’s bidding — not only against Russia, but also against the Sauds’ main target, which is Iran (the same main target as Israel’s).
Why are Europeans not asking themselves: Who is Europe’s enemy in all of this — what causes this refugee-crisis? The refugees certainly didn’t.
It’s not Russia, and it’s not Iran, and it’s not China; it is America — which is the true enemy of them all, and of us all — including even of the American people ourselves, because the US Government no longer actually represents the American people. These invasions, and military occupations, and coups, do not serve America’s public; they serve America’s aristocracy. The US is no longer (if it ever was) a democracy. The US Government now is the US aristocracy — not the US public. It’s a dictatorship. And, it has the type of ‘news’media that any dictatorship has.
On June 30th, the US aristocracy’s New York Times headlined “Bavaria: Affluent, Picturesque — and Angry”, and reported “the new angry center of Europe, the latest battleground for populists eager to bring down both Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and the idea of a liberal Europe itself.” Their elitist (pro-US-aristocracy) ‘reporter’ (actually propagandist) interviewed ‘experts’ who condemn Europe’s politicians that are trying to assuage their own public’s anger against the EU’s open-door policy regarding this flood of refugees from what is actually, for the most part, the US regime’s (and its allies’) bombings — air-support of the boots-on-the-ground jihadist mercenaries. The combination of this air-support, and of the jihadists, has been the backbone of the US-Saudi-Israeli effort to overthrow and replace Syria’s Government.
Libya was a similar case, but was only friendly toward Russia, not allied with Russia, as both Syria and Iran are.
So: the Times was secretly (and they didn’t include any links to help online readers know who was actually funding their ‘experts’, at all) pumping NATO propaganda, as if it were authentic and neutral news-reporting, instead of craven service to the US aristocracy that controls the US Government and its NATO military alliance. This is the New York Times, itself, that is “rewriting recent history.” That’s how they do it — constantly (as ‘news’).
And here is some of that “recent history” the Times is “rewriting” (by simply omitting to so much as even just suggest, but which is essential backgound in order to understand the real history behind this important matter):

We are both determined to see that happen, we are both determined to make sure that the European Security Initiative carries out its promise to strengthen the North Atlantic Alliance.119

Though the Sauds, and also Israel’s aristocracy, are mainly anti-Iran, the US aristocracy are obsessed with their goal of conquering Russia. Since Iran, and Syria, are both allied with Russia, the US regime is trying to overthrow those Russia-allied Governments, before going in for the kill, against Russia itself. That’s what all of these economic sanctions, and the bombings and the backing of Al Qaeda for overthrowing Syria’s Government, are really all about.
Is this what today’s Europeans want their Governments to be doing — and doing it for that reason, the US aristocracy’s reason? Despite the huge harms it is certainly causing to Europeans?
As the world’s greatest blogger, the former UK Ambassador (but too honest to stay in that business) Craig Murray, recently said under the headline, “No Trump, No Clinton, No NATO”: “The destruction of Libya’s government and infrastructure directly caused the Mediterranean boat migrant crisis, which has poisoned the politics of much of the European Union.” But, of course, the US regime and its allies have also destroyed other countries than that — and thus caused refugees to Europe from many nations. And, finally, even the US Government (though as quietly as possible) acknowledges that it has destroyed Afghanistan. Ironically, that’s the very nation where America and the Sauds, in 1979, had started their war against all Governments that won’t buckle to them.
Furthermore, the US regime intends to keep it up. In case a reader might happen to think that, surely, the US regime and its allies are going to quit this rousing of hornets’ nests; Sharmine Narwani, who is one of the very few non-“embedded” journalists who reports in The West about — and (which the mainstream ones don’t) from — the war in Syria, headlined, on June 25th, “Are al-Qaeda Affiliates Fighting Alongside US Rebels in Syria’s South?” and she found that the answer to this question is a resounding yes:
Despite its US and UN designation as a terrorist organization, Nusra [Al Qaeda’s main name in Syria] has been openly fighting alongside the “Southern Front,” a group of 54 opposition militias funded and commanded by a US-led war room based in Amman, Jordan called the Military Operations Center (MOC). …
Sources inside Syria — both opposition fighters and Syrian military brass (past and present) — suggest the command center consists of the US, UK, France, Jordan, Israel, and some Persian Gulf states. … In practice, the US doesn’t appear to mind the Nusra affiliation — regardless of the fact that the group is a terror organization — as long as the job gets done.
These wars, which pour Middle Eastern (and also Ukrainian*) refugees into the EU, are inter-aristocratic conflicts reflecting inter-aristocratic competitions; and the publics everywhere suffer enormously from them. The gainers from it are very few but very rich (and they hire very powerful agents in Europe and elsewhere). Those billionaire gainers, and their agents, should be Europe’s targets — not Russia and Iran. NATO must end now. Europe needs to be freed, at last, from America’s permanent-war-for permanent-‘peace’ grip. For Europeans, who are the indirect victims, to be blaming the refugees, who are the direct victims, won’t solve anything, but will simply please the victimizers, as is the public’s ancient habit (to please the powerful). A break must be made, away from that ugly past. European publics must lead the way, or no one will.

Als ik ‘s nachts naar bed ga, zet ik meestal nog even BBC World Service aan op de radio. Zo ook gisternacht rond 1.10 u. Onmiddellijk werd mijn aandacht getrokken doordat de naam Vanessa Beeley werd genoemd, zij is één van de beste oorlogscorrespondenten, die bovendien nog het echte ‘handwerk’ doet………
Aan het woord o.a. professor Scott Lucas van de Birmingham University. Deze schoft stelde dat oorlogscorrespondent Beeley en Sarah Abdallah een Libanese pro-Assad twitteraar (o.a. SyriaHoax hashtag) veel kwaad doen met hun werk en noemde hen zelfs gevaarlijk….. Niet dat de twee ook maar één keer zijn veroordeeld vanwege geweldpleging……..
Tja als je tegenwoordig de waarheid vertelt en die is tegen de huidige status quo, waar Rusland, Syrië en Iran de grote boosdoeners zijn (en niet juist de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS), ben je ‘natuurlijk’ staatsgevaarlijk en al helemaal als je daarbij Saoedi-Arabië (met o.a. de hulp van de VS) verwijt een genocide uit te voeren in Jemen (wat werkelijk zo is!)….
Dat ‘staatsgevaarlijk’ is dan ook wat je na een paar minuten in de uitzending meekreeg (al werd dit woord niet gebruikt, die suggestie werd wel degelijk gewekt; het woord gevaarlijk werd overigens wel gebruikt)….. Groot-Brittannië steunt S-A met deze genocide, zoals de VS dat ook doet, waarbij de laatste nog net wat verder gaat, o.a.: -met troepen op de Jemenitische bodem, -het bijtanken van Saoedische straaljagers zodat deze zo efficiënt mogelijk de sjiieten kunnen bombarderen en -zeeblokkades uitvoeren voor de havens waar humanitaire goederen kunnen worden aangevoerd voor de lijdende sjiitische bevolking van Jemen…… Ach en dan weet je het wel, men is ook in universiteiten afhankelijk van de overheid, zeker wat betreft wetgeving t.a.v. studie enz., dus dan ga je als ‘professor’ niet tekeer tegen de zich aan de genocide in Jemen scheel verdienende Britse overheid….. Dit terzijde om aan te geven hoever men wil gaan om ronduit staatsterreur te verdedigen……
Lucas stelt dat er een ‘informatie oorlog’ bezig is waar o.a. Beeley en Abdallah de grote foute partij zijn, die veel mensen bereiken met hun ‘desinformatie’ en samenzweringstheorieën…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Het is juist volkomen andersom, zij ontwarren de schimmige samenzweringstheorieën die door de reguliere westerse media en politici worden verspreid! Lucas noemde de gifgasaanval van vorig jaar op Kahn Sheikhoun, waar o.a. Abdallah over stelde dat dit een false flag was om Syrië de schuld in de schoenen te schuiven en een VS aanval te ‘rechtvaardigen’ (terwijl de VS NB illegaal in Syrie zit!!).
Lucas stelde daarover dat de conclusies al werden getrokken toen het onderzoek nog bezig was….. Wat hij niet vertelde was het feit dat de VN inspecteurs stelden dat er geen aanval met sarin gas had plaatsgevonden en er wel sporen van chlorine waren gevonden, chlorine dat (alweer) NB in het bezit was van de Al Qaida groepering die daar de boel ‘onder controle’ (lees: onder het terreurbewind) had……… Deskundigen stelden dan ook dat de aanval van Syrische troepen op een terreurdoel was uitgemond in het raken van een voorraad chlorine, terwijl men nog steeds spreekt over sarin gas, wat Lucas zelf toevallig niet deed…….. Die leugen ging zelfs hem waarschijnlijk te ver, niet in de laatste plaats daar het bewijs van het tegengestelde te groot is……….
Overigens niet vreemd dat men eerder grote kritiek heeft op het direct stellen dat Syrië een gifgasaanval heeft uitgevoerd. Immers Lucas ‘vergeet’ voor het gemak dat juist het westen direct (soms zelfs binnen twee uur na een ‘aanval’) het Syrische leger aanwijst als dader…….. Alsof er dan al wel een onderzoek heeft plaatsgevonden….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Eén ding is zeker mensen, nadat de sociale media werden beschuldigd van het brengen van fake news (nepnieuws), men mensen die wel met de waarheid op de proppen komen nu als gevaarlijk gaat neerzetten……. Als Beeley of Abdallah straks worden vermoord weten we wie de schuldigen zijn: Scott Lucas en de BBC, dat zelf ook met feiten veel van de praatjes van Lucas onderuit had kunnen halen, maar ja de BBC is nu eenmaal een grote rad in het verspreiden van anti-Rusland/Syrië/Iran propaganda en het brengen van fake news, zoals de BBC dat ook deed in aanloop naar de illegale VS oorlogen tegen Afghanistan, Irak, Libie en nu weer Syrië…. Waarbij niet moet worden vergeten dat deze BBC, een ‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’, afhankelijk is van overheidssubsidies……… En nee dit heeft niets te maken met complotdenken, maar alles met het weergeven van feiten!!!
Tot slot wil ik nog wijzen op een video van de Jimmy Dore Show. Hij nagelt samen met Brigida Santos de BBC aan de paal voor het verdedigen van de westerse houding t.a.v. Syrië en Rusland. Aan de orde o.a. John Kerry die als minister van BuZa toegeeft dat Saoedi-Arabië een enorm deel betaalt van de kosten voor de illegale VS oorlog in Syrië….. Ook aan de orde waarom de VS nu echt in Syrië zit, niet alleen de weigering van Assad voor een gaspijpleiding, maar ook op aandringen van Israël en Saoedi-Arabië, dit om Assad weg te krijgen (en het land op te delen). Suggestief wordt een voormalig topofficier van de Britse marine ‘geïnterviewd, lord West (‘first sea lord’) die nog enigszins kritiek heeft op de aanname dat Syrië de gifgasaanval in Douma heeft gepleegd en kritiek heeft op de White Helmets, de interviewer zijn antwoorden probeert te verdraaien of zelfs suggereert dat hij het bij het verkeerde eind heeft….. Zo suggereert ze dat de schuldtoewijzing aan Syrië voor de gifgasaanval in Douma, niet door de eerste besten werden gedaan (zoals meerdere geheime diensten, journalisten en het SOHR, een propaganda orgaan van de terreurgroepen in Syrië), waar een aantal van deze ‘eerste besten’ wel degelijk eerder door de mand vielen, zoals voor de illegale oorlog van de VS (met militaire hulp van GB) tegen Irak eind 2002 en begin 2003…..

Na veel vertraging heeft de Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) afgelopen zaterdag monsters genomen in Douma op de plek waar een gifgasaanval zou hebben plaatsgevonden. De missie wordt geëvalueerd door de OPCW en het United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), een VN organisatie die voor de veiligheid van het OPCW team zorgt, waarna men wellicht zal beslissen het onderzoek nog eens te herhalen.
Uitlatingen van westerse politici zoals de Franse opperhufter Macron en de reguliere westerse media, als zouden Syrië en Rusland het onderzoeksteam expres hebben vertraagd, werden tegengesproken, de vertraging had alles te maken met de inschatting van de veiligheid door het UNDSS team……..
Voorts zouden Rusland en Syrië ‘de plaats delict’ hebben gemanipuleerd en zaken hebben verwijderd dan wel verborgen, aldus dezelfde westerse politici en media. Dat heeft de OPCW intussen weersproken, ofwel ook dit was (alweer) valse anti-Syrische/Russische propaganda……..
Macron en de media spelen wel een heel smerig spel in deze, uitlatingen dat Rusland en Syrië de zaak zouden hebben vertraagd, was al een enorme leugen, daar de VN Veiligheidsraad met meerderheid van stemmen besloot tegen een onderzoek door de OPCW te stemmen!! (een onderzoek waar nu juist Rusland en Syrië op aan hadden gedrongen….) De OPCW besloot zelfstandig een onderzoek te starten en als dit orgaan deze beslissing niet had genomen, was er nog niets gebeurd……….. Zoals gezegd: Als je de reguliere media (plus het grootste deel van de westerse politici) moest geloven waren het Syrië en Rusland die tegen een onderzoek waren, dezelfde media en politici die zo’n grote bek hebben over ‘fake news’, maar zoals ook uit deze zaak blijkt, zelf de grote leveranciers zijn van ‘fake news’ (of ‘nepnieuws’)……..
Beste lezer het gaat nog veel verder: de Franse president Macron en de Britse premier May logen na de ‘gifgasaanval’ over onomstotelijke bewijzen te beschikken, maar gaven deze niet vrij. Dezelfde Macron beweert nu dat Rusland en Syrië de zaak hebben verdoezeld in Douma, echter wat maakt dat uit, als je toch onomstotelijk bewijs hebt dat het Syrische bewind de schuldige is???? (en dan nogmaals: van manipulaties op de plaats waar de aanval plaatsvond is niets gebleken, zo heeft de OPCW vastgesteld……)
Intussen hebben meerdere bronnen gemeld dat er in het geheel geen gifgasaanval heeft plaatsgevonden in Douma, iets dat de toenadering tussen de VS en Rusland kan verklaren, immers in de VS zal men intussen wel begrepen hebben dat de aanval van de VS, Frankrijk en GB op Syrische doelen na de zogenaamde gifgasaanval, nooit had mogen plaatsvinden, ofwel dat was de zoveelste enorme oorlogsmisdaad van de VS en een paar van haar NAVO partners, de NAVO dat in feite onder opperbevel van de VS staat………..

Trouwens ongelofelijk dat je vanuit de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici, nooit commentaar hoort op het feit dat de door hen zo geliefde ‘gematigde rebellen’ (psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) beschikken over gifgas, terwijl al lang bewezen is dat deze terreurgroepen daadwerkelijk gifgas hebben gebruikt, zoals bij de grote gifgasaanval in 2013, zo concludeerde zelfs een VN onderzoeksteam!! OPCW Chemical Inspection Team Reaches Douma After Issuing Statement Negating “Russia Cover-Up” Claim
After many days of delay inside the security arch of Damascus’ city center, the international chemical weapons watchdog group, Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), announced that its team of investigators finally entered the Damascus suburb town of Douma early on Saturday.
In an official statement posted to its website, the OPCW confirmed the following:
The Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) team of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) visited one of the sites in Douma, Syrian Arab Republic today to collect samples for analysis in connection with allegations of chemical weapons use on 7 April 2018. The OPCW will evaluate the situation and consider future steps including another possible visit to Douma.
The OPCW Fact-Finding Mission will initially study the collected samples at an OPCW lab in the Netherlands, with potential sample distribution to its other designated labs. In the past, it’s take up to multiple weeks or months for the OPCW to issue a preliminary report to the public.
The samples collected will be transported to the OPCW Laboratory in Rijswijk and then dispatched for analysis to the OPCW’s designated labs. Based on the analysis of the sample results as well other information and materials collected by the team, the FFM will compile their report for submission to the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention for their consideration.
It is unclear if any of what was collected includes tissue samples from corpses as it’s now being widely reported that the jihadist group which previously held the area – Jaish al-Islam – hastily buried the bodies of alleged chemical attack victims.
Though the team was invited into the country by the Syrian and Russian governments – both signatories to the international body devoted to decommissioning global stockpiles of banned chemical weapons – there’s been much spin and obfuscation regarding why the team was actually delayed, with a number of media outlets in the West falsely claiming that Syria and Russia were attempting a cover-up.
This was based in part on the unverified claims of political leaders in the West who have long sought Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s ouster, and who have given covert aid to various jihadist rebel groups.
France’s foreign minister, for example, accused both Damascus and Russia of “obstructionism [which] is obviously undermining the caliber of the investigation. It is most likely aimed at removing evidence and other material elements linked to the chemical attack on the very site where it took place.”
However, in spite of multiple international headlines, Western leaders, and journalists who reside far outside of Syria claiming a chemical cover-up conspiracy in the making, the OPCW in official statements confirmed that they were prevented from visiting Douma not by Syrian or Russian authorities, but by United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), which has the final say over OPCW movements within Syria.
On 16 April, we received confirmation from the National Authority of the Syrian Arab Republic that, under agreements reached to allow the evacuation of the population in Ghouta, the Syrian military were unable to enter Douma. The security for the sites where the FFM plans to deploy was under the control of the Russian Military Police. The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) has made the necessary arrangements with the Syrian authorities to escort the team to a certain point and then for the escort to be taken over by the Russian Military Police. However, the UNDSS preferred to first conduct a reconnaissance visit to the sites, which took place yesterday. FFM team members did not participate in this visit.
On arrival at Site 1, a large crowd gathered and the advice provided by the UNDSS was that the reconnaissance team should withdraw. At Site 2, the team came under small arms fire and an explosive was detonated. The reconnaissance team returned to Damascus.
Though the OPCW statement further acknowledged the area to be a “highly volatile environment” fraught with “security risks” – a number of journalists actually made it into Douma early in the week prior to the OPCW team’s arrival.
Dagelijks worden we in Nederland (en de rest van het westen) met fikse superlatieven voorgelogen dat Syrië verantwoordelijk is voor de gifgasaanval in Douma, terwijl daar nog steeds geen bewijs voor is geleverd, sterker nog: de illegale aanval tegen Syrische doelen door de VS, GB en Frankrijk van afgelopen vrijdag op zaterdagnacht, een wraakactie voor die gifgasaanval, werd NB uitgevoerd op de dag voordat de internationale onderzoekscommissie van de OPCW haar werk zou starten in Syrië……..
Volgens wapeninspecteurs van de VN beschikt Syrië al jaren niet meer over chemische wapens, noch zou het land beschikken over faciliteiten om chemische wapens te ontwikkelen of te produceren…….. Toch zou volgens de misdadige coalitie o.l.v. de VS, een opslagplaats voor chemische wapens zijn getroffen en zou een wetenschappelijk onderzoekscentrum plat zijn gegooid, een centrum waar men chemische wapens zou produceren……
Wat betreft het laatste doel: werknemers van dit onderzoekscentrum stellen dat het gaat om een farmaceutisch bedrijf dat medicijnen produceert…….. Dat is toch echt iets anders dan chemische wapens ontwikkelen…… Ook het andere doel was geen opslagplaats voor chemische wapens, maar voor ‘normale wapens…’
De schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Whitney Webb haalt voorts ‘de getuigen’ van de gifgasaanval aan: de White Helmets, een in feite door GB opgetuigde groep (betaald door GB, de VS, Japan en… Nederland!) die zogenaamd hulp verleent, maar intussen al een aantal keren door de mand is gevallen. Zo is aangetoond dat deze W.H. Hebben meegewerkt aan executies door ‘gematigde rebellen’ en heeft de organisatie meerdere keren beeldmateriaal gebruikt, die niet eens in Syrië werd opgenomen…… Zoals je hiervoor al kon lezen: het is bekend dat deze White Helmets samenwerken met Al Qaida Syrië en nog een paar terreurgroepen, waaronder Jaysh al-Islam…….
Voorts is meermaals aangetoond dat de vermeende gifgasaanvallen, die door de White Helmets aan het Syrische leger werden toegeschreven, in werkelijkheid zijn gepleegd door deze zogenaamde gematigde rebellen……. Je kan daarvoor zelfs de White Helmets schuld aanrekenen, immers zij waren op de hoogte van aanstaande gifgasaanvallen, maar hebben de bevolking nooit gewaarschuwd……. ‘Bijzonder vreemd ook’, dat nooit 1 lid van deze organisatie is omgekomen door gifgas, terwijl men wel altijd ter plaatse was…………
De White Helmets worden overigens gefinancierd door de VS, Groot-Brittannië, Japan en…… Nederland! (dat laatste staat niet in het artikel van Webb, maar is wel een feit!) In maart onderschepte het reguliere Syrische leger een wapenleverantie voor terreurgroep Jaysh al-Islam, die het gebied in Oost-Ghouta in handen had, onder de wapens vond men ook gifgas……..
Zoals eerder gemeld op deze plek (wat niet in het artikel van Webb terugkomt): waarom zou het Syrische leger een gifgasaanval uitvoeren, terwijl het de strijd in feite al had gewonnen…??? Daarnaast is het zoals gezegd bekend dat het Syrische leger niet over gifgas beschikt, terwijl het een feit is dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ wel beschikken over voorraden gifgas…….. (waarmee het westen geen probleem heeft…..)
Russia Accuses UK of Masterminding Gas Attack in Syria and Claims to Have Proof
(TIM) — Hours before the United States, the UK, and France carried out “limited” strikes last Saturday morning, the Russian military presentedwhat it claimed to be proof that the chemical weapons attack used as the pretext for those strikes was staged at the behest of the UK government.

During a Friday briefing, the Russian Defense Ministry showed interviews with medical professionals reported to work in the only functional hospital in Douma – the suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus where the attacks are said to have taken place. In their testimony, the two men asserted that the footage of the alleged chemical attack was taken after a Syrian air strike occurred and that the affected people shown in the video were suffering from smoke poisoning. They stated that a false claim of chemical weapons use was then circulated, leading concerned family members to douse those affected with water. The Russian military then asserted that the White Helmets, the foreign-funded “humanitarian” group active in Syria, were pressured by the UK government to “speed up” a provocation that they had been preparing in order to push for Western intervention.
British UN Ambassador Karen Pierce called the allegations “grotesque,” “a blatant lie” and “the worst piece of fake news we’ve yet seen from the Russian propaganda machine.”
The main group that has provided footage and evidence purporting to show the chemical weapons attack in Douma are the White Helmets. Syria’s White Helmets, while they have largely been portrayed in Western media as a humanitarian first responder group, were actually founded in Turkey in 2013 by a British mercenary named James Le Mesurier. Le Mesurier is a former officer in the British military and also formerly worked for British intelligence. He eventually left his work with the British government to join with the Olive Group before it merged with Blackwater-Academi to become Constellis Holdings. He then worked in Abu Dhabi before moving to Turkey and founding the White Helmets.
To found the group, Le Mesurier raised $300,000 in seed funding provided by the UK, the U.S. and Japan, according to journalist Vanessa Beeley. Since its founding, the White Helmets have received over $123 million from 2013 to 2016 from the U.S. and UK governments, as well as Western NGOs and Gulf state monarchies. In addition, during the past five years, the White Helmets have been instrumental in blaming the Syrian government for any and all chemical weapons attacks in Syria, acting as both witnesses and responders to events that were later reported to be the work of the armed opposition in Syria or staged.
In Mid-March, the Syrian Arab Army intercepted a truck containing weapons and ammunition destined for the militant rebel groups in the area where the chemical weapons attack is said to have occurred. Among the items found were canisters apparently containing smoke grenades made in Salisbury, England – where the UK government has a chemical weapons laboratory.
Regardless of what information emerges from Douma regarding the alleged chemical weapons attack, the UK and its allies have already unilaterally attacked Syria even though they have admitted that they have no evidence that the attack even took place, beyond social media posts and YouTube videos created by controversial groups with ties to U.K. intelligence.

Naast Ron Paul, voormalig lid van het VS Huis van Afgevaardigden, die het hele verhaal afdoet als nonsens, heeft ook voormalig Britse marine generaal Alan West grote vraagtekens gezet bij het verhaal over deze gifgasaanval.
West noemt het militair totaal onlogisch, terwijl hij stelt dat wanneer hij de terreurgroepen van advies moest dienen, hij hen zou adviseren een gifgasaanval op de bevolking uit te voeren, deze groepen hebben immers al lang aangetoond lak te hebben aan burgerslachtoffers…..
Bij Sky News vroeg men de voormalige commandant van de Britse strijdkrachten in Irak, generaal Jonathan Shaw naar de gifgasaanval. Ook hij stelde dat het onlogisch was voor een winnend leger om gifgas in te zetten, daar het Syrisch leger in feite de strijd al had gewonnen. Hij gaf daarbij de woorden weer van generaal Vogel, hoofd van CENTCOM, die voor het VS Congress stelde dat de VS moet accepteren dat het Syrische leger de strijd heeft gewonnen……
Hij haalde ook Trump aan, die een week eerder had gesteld dat ISIS overwonnen was en hij de troepen terug wilde roepen, waarna er ‘toevallig’ een chemische aanval plaats vond (vrij vertaald).
Voordat hij z’n verhaal kon afmaken, werd het gesprek afgekapt, had hij zich maar aan het script moeten houden, het script dat Assad als dader aanwijst en waarin ‘ongelofelijk genoeg’ het grootste deel van de westerse wereld gelooft, na te zijn gehersenspoeld door de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici, die maar geen genoeg kunnen krijgen van het spuien van gal over deze ‘gifgasaanval……’ Voorts moet niet vergeten worden dat de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) in het bezit zijn van voorraden gifgas. And RT spoke about the Russian claims with Lord Alan West, a retired officer of the British Royal Navy. He said he had strong reservations about taking allegations against Damascus at face value, because it didn’t make much military sense.
“It seems to be utterly ludicrous for the military that is in the process of taking over an area to go and do something with chemical weapons, which will draw the wrath of the larger enemy down upon them,” he said.
“If I was advising the opponents of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad, I would be delighted to kill a few people there. Let’s face it, [the insurgents] don’t care if they kill women and children.”
“I am not willing to accept tweets. We need to see incontrovertible truth about what has happened there and make a decision on that basis,” he added.
But, to confirm the fact that the propaganda-pushed ‘Assad-is-bad’ narrative is all that is allowed, when General Jonathan Shaw, the former Commander of British Armed Forces in Iraq, dares to go ‘off script’ while being interviewed by Sky News, he is abruptly cut off…

“…the debate that seems to be missing from all this – and this was mentioned by the [Russian] ambassador – is what possible motive might Syria have to launch a chemical attack at this time and in this place…

Volkomen terecht, echter als je de landelijke radio nieuws en actualiteiten zenders van Nederland, België, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië moet geloven is er niets aan de hand en hoewel men continu Rusland demoniseert, wordt er dan plotsklaps wel gezond verstand verwacht van Rusland, in reactie op de oorlogstaal van de VS n.a.v. de zogenaamde gifgasaanval op Douma……* Moet je nagaan: die reguliere media doen voorts niet anders dan Rusland van alle ellende de schuld geven, ook al is daar geen flinter bewijs voor, neem de zogenaamde Russische manipulatie van de VS presidentsverkiezingen, of het hacken van regeringen (zaken waar de VS zich meermaals schuldig aan heeft gemaakt, waar wel bewijzen voor zijn, ook het hacken van vriendschappelijke regeringen zoals die van Duitsland en andere zaken die o.a. terug te vinden zijn in Wikileaks…..)
De verwachting dat Rusland wel haar verstand zal gebruiken, strookt overigens met de werkelijkheid: ga maar eens na wat er gebeurd zou zijn als een VS jager uit de lucht zou zijn geschoten door Rusland (Turkije deed dit als NAVO partner, terwijl de VS op de hoogte was van het Russische vluchtplan), of als Rusland 100 VS militairen zou hebben gedood (zoals de VS met Russische militaire vrijwilligers in Syrië heeft gedaan)…… De oorlogsrapen waren overgaar geweest en de VS had wraak genomen, echter Rusland deed dit niet en bewaarde de kalmte (waarvoor we bij wijze van spreken god en Putin op onze blote knieën mogen bedanken)…….
Echter tegen loze beschuldigingen kan je je niet anders verweren dan de waarheid te vertellen en je voor te bereiden op oorlog. De VS wordt keer op keer zwakte verweten, zoals na de grote gifgasaanval in 2013, die na onderzoek werd toegeschreven aan de ‘gematigde rebellen’ (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die zonder bezwaar van het westen beschikken over voorraden…. gifgas!). Niet voor niets dat Obama niet ingreep, al had hij al helemaal het recht niet zich binnen de (lucht-) grenzen van Syrië te begeven…….
Echter het is geen zwakte als je je fout inziet (dat willen de reguliere westerse media en de meeste westerse politici nog steeds niet toegeven!) en niet besluit om te gaan bombarderen….. Russian TV Mockingly Tells Citizens to Prepare for Nuclear War With America

(COMMONDREAMS) As President Donald Trump sent mixed messages about his plans for possible military action in Syria this week, Russian state media advised citizens to take his warnings from earlier this week to heart, and prepare for war with the U.S.
On the country’s state-owned media channel, a news anchor on Wednesday explained to viewers how to prepare for a potential war by stocking a bomb shelter—while images of nuclear explosions were shown behind him.
As Newsweek reports:
Warning that the potential conflict between the two superpowers would be “catastrophic,” an anchor for Russia’s Vesti 24 showed off shelves of food, recommending that people buy salt, oatmeal, and other products that can last a long time on the shelves if they plan to hide in a bunker. Powdered milk lasts five years, while sugar and rice can last up to eight years, the newscaster explained before showing videos of pasta cooking in a bomb shelter.
The newscast showed shelf-stable foods that could last five to eight years—including powdered milk, rice, and sugar—and advised Russians to buy gas masks and huge supplies of water.
The anchor took on a mocking tone at times, saying that Americans have far more to fear than Russians.
“The real panic isn’t here but across the ocean,” said the reporter, adding that the instructions to stock bunkers were for “people who succumb to panic and decide to spend all their savings.”

Trump warned he was considering military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad this week, after he accused Assad—who Russia has defended in the country’s civil war over the last seven years—of attacking the town of Douma with poison gas last weekend.
A navy destroyer armed with Tomahawk missiles embarked from Cyrus on Monday, leading to fears that Trump would impulsively launch an attack on the war-torn country—while anti-war advocates urged Trump to allow the U.N. to investigate the chemical attack before taking action.
In response to Trump’s threats, Russia quickly said it wouldshoot down any U.S. missiles and possibly target U.S. launch sites as well, leading international affairs and military experts to warn that the U.S. would stand little chance of defeating Russia’s defenses—and that an escalation could ultimately lead to a nuclear exchange.
“There is a major war scare here in Moscow. Russia is expecting a U.S. strike in Syria. The Russian chief of military Valery Gerasimov promised a response against U.S. platforms launching missiles,” Ariel Cohen, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, told Newsweek. “The U.S. needs to keep in mind not only the adversarial position of Russia, which of course is the case, but the Russian nuclear potential… An escalation in Syria that affects Russia may lead to a military conflict with Russia, which has an escalation trajectory towards a nuclear war.”
Meanwhile, Murtaza Mohammad Hussain at the Intercept argued that while Trump’s threats could carry the danger of war, the majority of those who will suffer in a conflict between the U.S. and Russia are likely neither American nor Russian—but Middle Eastern.
I don’t really buy the idea that Russia & the U.S. are at risk of WW3 or nuclear war over any of their disputes. Imperial powers are happy to compete in carving up the rest of the world, but the only blood they’re really willing to spill en masse is that of third world people.
If there is a great power conflict, the escalation will happen by both sides bombing Syrians more, maybe throwing in some Iraqis, Iranians and Lebanese depending on how bad things get. No one in Russia or America needs to worry about any “WW3” that would affect them directly.
Ben het overigens in het geheel niet eens met de Twitterberichten van Martuza Mohammad Hussain, hij vergeet even dat Rusland op verzoek van de legitieme, democratisch gekozen regering van Syrië in dat land aanwezig is…… De ‘opstand in Syrië’ was een door de VS georganiseerde zaak, met behulp van een aantal andere landen waaronder Groot-Brittannië, Saoedi-Arabië, Turkije en Egypte. Deze opstand werd al vanaf 2006 voorbereid…… Syrië werd vanaf het begin van de opstand (‘arabische lente..’) onmiddellijk gedemoniseerd, terwijl buitenlandse jihadstrijders de Syrische demonstranten (waaronder vooral veel buitenlanders) letterlijk onder vuur namen, zodat Assad de schuld kreeg…….. (de zoveelste false flag operatie) Doordat Syrië ten onder dreigde te gaan en Assad Putin te hulp riep, is Rusland zoals gezegd aanwezig in dat land, waarmee Rusland al decennia lang goede betrekkingen onderhield………. Tot slot wat betreft dit commentaar van Hussain en dan zijn stelling dat we in het westen niet bang hoeven te zijn voor WOIII: dat is maar zeer de vraag, als Rusland als vergelding voor de aanval van afgelopen nacht een VS marineschip torpedeert dan wel bombardeert, vrees ik dat we binnen de kortste keren wel degelijk in WOIII zullen belanden en zoals deze aanduiding al aangeeft, een wereldoorlog treft de hele wereld, dus ook het westen……
