Op ANTIWAR schreef Jason Ditz het hieronder opgenomen artikel, waarin hij over die eerste 6 executies niets schrijft en ik kon op het net geen bevestiging vinden voor dit eerdere BBC bericht.
Wel heeft de Iraakse premier Haider al-Abadi bekend gemaakt dat als vergelding voor deze moord er snel een massamoord zal worden uitgevoerd op 212 IS (ISIS) gevangenen….. Een manier van handelen die vooral onder nazi-Duits bewind door de SS werd gebruikt, zo werden alle manlijke inwoners van Putten naar dodenkampen afgevoerd, nadat in de buurt van Putten op 1 oktober 1944 een wagen met Duitse Wehrmacht officieren werd aangevallen door het verzet. In totaal kwamen door de Duitse wraakactie 552 mensen om het leven, ofwel zij: werden vermoord in de Duitse concentratiekampen…… Overigens noemde de nazi-Duitse bezetter dergelijke acties van het verzet terreur…..
Sinds 2014 heeft Irak minstens 250 gevangenen op laten hangen, waar mensenrechtengroeperingen stellen dat deze gevangenen geen fatsoenlijke rechtszaak hebben gekregen……. De 212 die al-Abadi zo snel mogelijk wil laten vermoorden zijn al ter dood veroordeeld en volgens dezelfde mensenrechtenorganisaties hebben ook deze gevangenen geen eerlijk proces gehad…..
In Irak is intussen al een fiks bedrag aan Nederlands belastinggeld gebruikt in de strijd ‘tegen terreur’, terwijl nu nog eens blijkt dat Irak zelf terreur uitoefent….. Alsof we militair een fascistische dictatuur ondersteunen……. Dit alles dankzij de door Nederland gesteunde illegale oorlog die de VS onder Bush in 2003 tegen Irak begon, waar Nederland ook nog eens aan de voorbereiding meedeed, door inlichtingen te verzamelen middels een duikboot vol ‘spionage-elektronica’. Later hebben zelfs Nederlandse militairen meegevochten naast VS/Britse troepen; waar een klein land ‘al niet groot in kan zijn…..’
Nog steeds, of beter gezegd alweer zijn Nederlandse F16’s* aanwezig in Irak, straaljagers die ook worden ingezet in de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen de democratisch gekozen Syrische regering Assad……. Hoeveel doden de Nederlandse F16’s in de loop van de jaren hebben gemaakt, blijft belachelijk genoeg geheim, daar men zegt bang te zijn voor vergelding (een terroristische aanslag in Nederland, als gevolg van grootschalige westerse terreur, mede mogelijk gemaakt door Nederland, met ons belastinggeld)**, alsof het feit dat Nederland mee moordt in Irak al niet genoeg is om terreur op onze straten uit te lokken…. In feite gaven en geven de waardeloze kabinetten, respectievelijk Rutte 2 en 3, met het voorgaande toe dat het meedoen aan moordpartijen in landen waar we niets te zoeken hebben, terreur kunnen uitlokken op onze straten, terwijl deze kabinetten net doen of de VS en de rest van de ‘vrije wereld’ werden/worden aangevallen en er daarom wordt gevochten in Irak……. (in feite is er wat dat betreft niet veel veranderd aan de retoriek voorafgaand aan de illegale oorlog tegen Irak in 2003….)

Iraq PM Orders Immediate Execution of Hundreds of ‘Terrorists’
Says mass killing will be ‘fair punishment’ after ISIS killed eight hostages
Citing the need for revenge after eight hostages were found executed by ISIS north of Baghdad, Iraqi PM Hayder Abadi called for the immediate execution of all convicted terrorists in Iraqi custody. This is believed to be 212 detainees.
While Abadi initially said this was important to avenge the eight hostages, he also presented it as “fair punishment” for the detainees, and would be a further completion of the “purge” against ISIS-linked forces in Iraq.
212 to be executed assumes only those already sentenced to death will be killed. According to Human Rights Watch, those sentenced to death include people accused of cooking for ISIS forces, and those who worked in hospitals in ISIS-run territory.
Iraq has hung at least 250 detainees since 2014, and has been fast-tracking them in recent months. Iraq has been under growing criticism for its court system’s handling of “terror” suspects, with rights groups saying they fail at even the most basic due process.

‘Zo ziet moderne oorlogspropaganda eruit’, luidt de kop boven een artikel van Caitlin Johnsone. Ze beschrijft hierin het grote aantal video’s, waarin heldhaftige jonge Iraanse moslim vrouwen ‘vechten’ voor hun vrijheid.
Johnstone wijst op het grote aantal malen dat deze video’s worden gedeeld door republikeinen en de pro-Israël lobby (plus: zionisten*), groepen die normaal gesproken totaal geen moeite hebben met de onderdrukking van vrouwen in islamitische landen, het gaat hier dan ook om Iraanse moslims (Iran is voor 89% sjiitisch) en niet om hun zwaar onderdrukte seksegenoten uit bijvoorbeeld Saoedi-Arabië (84% soennieten) of Egypte (93% soennieten)…….
Nee sterker nog: de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici roemen Mohammad bin Salman al-Saoed ofwel MBS, zoals men deze psychopathische moordenaar aanduidt, daar deze nieuwe machthebber in Saoedi-Arabië die vrouwen het recht heeft gegeven om auto te rijden, een wassen neus als je ziet hoe het er verder wat ‘vrouwenrechten’ voorstaat in S-A….. (die rechten zijn er niet.. Oh nee dom van mij: ze mogen nu autorijden, zodat ze mooi de boodschappen kunnen doen, als ‘manlief’ uit z’n neus zit te eten, of achter andere vrouwen aanzit….) Oh en voor ik het vergeet, deze MBS is tevens verantwoordelijk voor de genocide op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, waarin hij aan alle kanten wordt gesteund door de VS en GB, 2 NAVO lidstaten (al is de VS de feitelijke baas van de NAVO)……
In Iran mogen vrouwen al heel lang in auto’s rijden, echter dat schijnt niet van belang te zijn in het westen…. Ook het feit dat de huidige regering in Iran voorzichtig probeert de macht van de sjiitische leiders los te weken, hoeft amper of niet op westerse belangstelling te rekenen…..
Johnstone kan dan ook niet anders concluderen dan dat hier sprake is van oorlogspropaganda…… De voormalige staatssecretaris van BuZa in de VS, Rex Tillerson heeft een beleidsmedewerker, Brian Hook en deze stelde in een uitgelekt memorandum van de Trump administratie dat mensenrechten moeten worden gebruikt als knuppel om onwillige staten als Iran, Noord-Korea en China mee te slaan, terwijl de schending van mensenrechten moet worden toegestaan aan landen als Saoedi-Arabië, Egypte, de Filipijnen en Israël (al noemt Johnstone het laatste land niet in deze combinatie)………. In het memorandum is verder te lezen dat bondgenoten anders en beter moeten worden behandeld dan tegenstanders, daar je anders meer tegenstanders dan bondgenoten overhoudt……. (de VS was zelfs voor Saoedi-Arabië op de post van voorzitter van de VN Mensenrechtencommissie >> UNHRC)
Uit het voorgaande kan je ten overvloede nog eens destilleren dat men in de VS knettergek is en werkelijk denkt een wereldrijk te zijn, waar het naar goeddunken kan moorden en verder alles mag doen wat god verboden heeft (en dat voor een zwaar ‘christelijke’ natie…), zolang het maar in het belang is van dat rijk….
In feite is de VS werkelijk al lang het Vierde Rijk en heel wat succesvoller dan het Derde van Hitler in nazi-Duitsland….. I’ve been noticing videos going viral the last few days, some with millions of views, about Muslim women bravely fighting to free themselves from oppression in the Middle East. The videos, curiously, are being shared enthusiastically by many Republicans and pro-Israel hawks, who aren’t traditionally the sort of crowd you see rallying to support the civil rights of Muslims. What’s up with that?
Well, you may want to sit down for this shocker, but it turns out that they happen to be women from a nation that the US war machine is currently escalating operations against. They are Iranian.
Whenever you see the sudden emergence of an attractive media campaign that is sympathetic to the plight of civilians in a resource-rich nation unaligned with the western empire, you are seeing propaganda. When that nation is surrounded by other nations with similar human rights transgressions and yet those transgressions are ignored by that same media campaign, you are most certainly seeing propaganda. When that nation just so happens to already be the target of starvation sanctions and escalated covert CIA ops, you can bet the farm that you are seeing propaganda.
Back in December a memo was leaked from inside the Trump administration showing how then-Secretary of State, DC neophyte Rex Tillerson, was coached on how the US empire uses human rights as a pretense on which to attack and undermine noncompliant governments. Politico reports: The May 17 memo reads like a crash course for a businessman-turned-diplomat, and its conclusion offers a starkly realist vision: that the U.S. should use human rights as a club against its adversaries, like Iran, China and North Korea, while giving a pass to repressive allies like the Philippines, Egypt and Saudi Arabia”.
“Allies should be treated differently — and better — than adversaries. Otherwise, we end up with more adversaries, and fewer allies,” argued the memo, written by Tillerson’s influential policy aide, Brian Hook.
The propaganda machine doesn’t operate any differently from the State Department, since they serve the same establishment. US ally Saudi Arabia is celebrated by the mass media for “liberal reform” in allowing women to drive despite hard evidence that those “reforms” are barely surface-level cosmetics to present a pretty face to the western world, but Iranian women, who have been able to drive for years, are painted as uniquely oppressed. Iran is condemned by establishment war whores for the flaws in its democratic process, while Saudi Arabia, an actual monarchy, goes completely unscrutinized.
This is because the US-centralized power establishment, which has never at any point in its history cared about human rights, plans on effecting regime change in Iran by any means necessary. Should those means necessitate a potentially controversial degree of direct military engagement, the empire needs to make sure it retains control of the narrative.
Women in Iran are recording the abuse they suffer at the hands of men for not wearing religious clothing. May the good people of Iran free themselves from the shackles of the tyrannical mullah theocracy.
This is what war propaganda looks like in the era of social media. It will never look ugly. It will never directly show you its real intentions. If it did, it wouldn’t work. It can’t just come right out and say “Hey we need to do horrible, evil things to the people in this country on the other side of the world in your name using your resources, please play along without making a fuss.” It will necessarily look fresh and fun and rebellious. It will look appealing. It will look sexy.
And it’s working. I am currently getting tagged in these videos multiple times a day by Trump supporters who are eager to show me proof that I’m on the wrong side of the Iran issue; the psyop is so well-lubricated with a combination of sleek presentation and confirmation bias that it slides right past their skepticism and becomes accepted as fact, even the one with the Now This pussyhat propaganda logo in the corner.
Be less trusting of these monsters, please. The people of Afghanistan haven’t benefitted from the interminable military quagmire that has cost tens of thousands of their lives. The invaders of Iraq were never “greeted as liberators” by an oppressed population. The humanitarian intervention in Libya left a humanitarian catastrophe in its wake far more horrific than anything it claimed to be trying to prevent. Saving the children of Syria with western interventionism has left half a million Syrians dead.
If the Iranians do in fact wish to change their government, it should happen without crippling sanctions, collaboration with extremist terror cults, or the rapey tentacles of the CIA manipulating the situation. There has never been a US-led regime change in the Middle East that wasn’t disastrous. People should be screaming at the US and its allies to cease these interventions, not applauding propaganda that is clearly being manufactured by that same empire.

‘Christen’Unie (CU) voorzitter in de Tweede Kamer, Gert-Jan Segers heeft een interview gegeven aan de Telegraaf, waarin hij volkomen terecht stelt dat Nederland Turkije niet langer moet verdedigen ‘tegen agressie’ van Syrië.
Een verdediging die Nederland een paar jaar geleden nog deels voor haar rekening nam met de stationering van Patriot-raketten in Turkije…. Lullig genoeg was dezelfde CU destijds wel voor stationering van Patriot-raketten in Turkije, dit vanwege ‘dreigende’ Syrische agressie….. Voordewind, destijds de voorman van de CU, was zelfs blij met de stationering van Patriot-raketten in Turkije en wilde er meteen wat leveren aan Israël…… ha! ha! ha! ha! Terwijl Israël al bomvol stond met dat soort raketten, maar dat terzijde. Van agressie van Syrië tegen Turkije was toen geen sprake, zelfs niet van een dreiging daarmee……
Zoals gezegd, van die dreiging van Syrisch agressie tegen Turkije was geen enkel teken, maar toch stemde Nederland voor stationering van die raketten…… Des te vreemder, daar ook Turkije zich destijds als grote agressor gedroeg en zowel Irak als Syrië binnenviel als het haar zo uitkwam…… Deze feiten zetten ook achteraf nog grote vraagtekens bij het gezeur over artikel 5 van de NAVO: als een NAVO lidstaat wordt aangevallen, springen de andere lidstaten in de aanvalsmodus om dat land te verdedigen…….
Precies dat haalde ook Segers aan in zijn interview en hij stelde dat Turkije de grote agressor is in de regio, zo voert Turkije een smerige oorlog tegen de Koerden op Syrisch grondgebied…….. Vandaar dat Segers tegen verdere bijstand voor Turkije is.
Vreemd dat Segers zich nu hier over uitspreekt, blijkbaar is er weer sprake van een beroep op artikel 5 van de uiterst agressieve terreurorganisatie NAVO, terwijl zoals gezegd Turkije volkomen illegaal op Syrisch grondgebied een smerige oorlog uitvecht tegen de Koerden….. Dezelfde Koerden die NB met succes tegen IS hebben gevochten in Syrië, terwijl Turkije aangetoond olie heeft afgenomen van IS en deze terreurorganisatie van wapens en training heeft voorzien…….
Blijkbaar overweegt Nederland weer patriot-raketten in Turkije te stationeren, dat zou zonder meer op een schandelijke en ronduit valse voorstelling van zaken gebeuren, precies zoals Nederland dit een paar jaar geleden heeft gedaan (met ons belastinggeld en dan durven te zeuren dat we te weinig uitgeven aan defensie, terwijl volgens mij de eerdere stationering van raketten niet uit het defensie budget werd bekostigd, maar ik kan me vergissen, daar hier niets over te vinden is op het net…)…..
Segers sprak zich verder terecht uit tegen de verkeersborden in Nederland, die Turken de weg wezen naar de Turkse stembus in Nederland. Borden voor een verkiezing die niets meer met eerlijke democratische verkiezingen te maken hebben, daar de oppositie geen kans had om op radio, tv en andere media haar standpunten bekend te maken en de Turkse pers monddood is gemaakt door de zwaar corrupte regering Erdogan……
Volgens het meer dan waardeloze kabinet Rutte 3 is dat wat ‘we doen bij verkiezingen’, waar Segers (nogmaals) terecht stelde dat dit alleen het geval zou moeten zijn bij democratische verkiezingen, waar in dit geval geen sprake van was…… Ach ja, Nederland is de grootste EU handelspartner van de reli-fascistische Erdogan dictatuur…….
Het meest belachelijke wat Segers te berde bracht was wel dat hij niet wil dat Turkije uit de NAVO wordt gezet……. Dit terwijl hij, zoals hiervoor al gesteld, Turkije ziet als een dictatuur, die agressief (en illegaal) tekeer gaat in buurland Syrië…….. Ongelofelijk, al ziet Segers de NAVO ‘uiteraard’ niet als een agressieve organisatie, is de NAVO dat wel, alleen al door de deelname van Turkije aan dit bondgenootschap, om nog maar te zwijgen over de feitelijke baas van de NAVO, de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS (alleen deze eeuw begon de VS al 4 illegale oorlogen en intussen, heeft de VS, sinds het jaar 2000, al dik meer dan 2 miljoen mensen vermoord…)……
Hoorde afgelopen zaterdag op VRT 1 dat de NAVO officieel Colombia als partner laat toetreden tot haar organisatie…… De NAVO was al enige tijd aanwezig in Colombia, maar blijkbaar was dit niet genoeg voor deze uiterst agressieve, om niet te zeggen terroristische organisatie…….
De VS speelt al dik meer dan 100 jaar een uiterst smerige rol in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika, blijkbaar moet de NAVO, die in feite onder direct bevel van de VS staat, ook meehelpen de neoliberale status quo (en daarmee het neokolonialistisch stelen van o.a. grondstoffen door de VS) te bewaren en te promoten met geweld……
Uiteraard zal de NAVO meewerken met de VS als deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde zal besluiten dat Maduro van Venezuela met geweld moet worden afgezet, ofwel meedoen aan één van de grootste oorlogsmisdaden die bestaan: een soeverein land met een democratisch gekozen regering aanvallen….. Waar de VS al jaren een economische oorlog voert tegen Venezuela, de oorzaak dat er zo weinig te krijgen is in dit land, zoals een enorm tekort aan medicijnen….. Dit is een vorm van ongelofelijke terreur, immers de gewone bevolking blijft hierdoor verstoken van belangrijke medicijnen, zoals die tegen kanker…… De VS wil met deze boycot de bevolking dwingen zich te verzetten tegen de eigen regering, anders gezegd een smerig staaltje chantage waar je ijskoud van wordt……
Met de NAVO eenmaal in Columbia, is de stap richting Bolivia snel gezet, zeker omdat daar de democratisch gekozen socialistische president Evo Morales aan de macht is en zoals je weet: daar heeft de VS een enorme hekel aan, aan het socialisme…… Immers veronderstel dat de grote onderlaag in de VS wakker wordt, ziet hoe het ook kan, haar kont tegen de krib gooit en zich niet langer als derderangs burgers, of beter gezegd als uitschot laat behandelen………. Vandaar dat de VS elk succesvol socialistisch regime in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika met zoveel geweld bestrijdt, neem de bloedige staatsgreep op 11 september 1973 in Chili, tegen de socialistische regering Allende, een coup georganiseerd en geregisseerd door de CIA……. (al voerde de VS ook daaraan voorafgaand een economische oorlog tegen Chili…)
Je snap dat wij daarmee niet alleen via de belasting opdraaien voor de illegale oorlogen die de VS in het Midden-Oosten voert (en waarvan de gevolgen de kiem van toekomstige ellende al in zich dragen, zie Libië en Malie, of terreur op de straten in de EU), maar we vanaf nu ook zullen bijdragen aan het onderdrukken van de grote onderlaag in Latijns-Amerikaanse landen……. Latijns-Amerika daar de bemoeienis van de VS en daarmee de NAVO zich ook zal uitstrekken naar Midden-Amerika, waar de VS al zolang de beest heeft uitgehangen……
Hoelang laten wij nog toe, dat onze opvolgende regeringen ons leger inzetten om grootschalige terreur uit te oefenen, of deze te steunen?? Dan durft men gvd nog te zeggen dat we meer moeten bijdragen aan defensie in het belang van terreurorganisatie NAVO! Een organisatie waarvan de landen gezamenlijk meer uitgeven aan defensie, uh oorlogvoering dan Rusland en China samen uitgeven aan defensie en dat meer dan één keer…….
Drie dagen voordat Trump zich terugtrok van de onderhandelingen met Kim Yung-un, zei oorlogshitser en grootlobbyist van het militair-industrieel complex, Bolton dat de onderhandelingen met Noord-Korea van hetzelfde kaliber zijn als die met Libië, zo’n 13 jaar voordat het bewind van Khadaffi omver werd geworpen door de illegale oorlog die de VS en NAVO coalitie tegen Libië begon…… Des te opvallender de opmerking van het beest Trump, hij heeft het gesprek met Kim afgezegd vanwege de agressieve woorden die Noord-Korea zou hebben gebruikt…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Een enorm grote pot, verwijt een piepklein keteltje zwart te zien!
Leeghoofd Mike Pence probeerde de (agressieve) woorden van Bolton tevergeefs af te zwakken, met te stellen dat Noord-Korea hetzelfde lot te wachten staat als Libië, wanneer Noord-Korea niet akkoord zou gaan met de voorwaarden van de VS…. Ofwel: de besprekingen tussen Trump en Kim waren bedoeld voor de bühne en Kim werd alleen geacht z’n handtekening te zetten onder de voorwaarden zoals de VS die zou dicteren……..
Uiteraard heeft Noord-Korea daarop zelf voorwaarden gesteld……

Om te beginnen zal de VS van Noord-Korea opnieuw eisen de zaken te tekenen die de VS het land voorlegt, ofwel wat stelt het overleg tussen Trump en Kim dan nog voor??

Brilliant Strategy of Offering North Korea the ‘Libya Model’ Somehow Falls Through
Three days before President Trump announced him as the new National Security Advisor, deranged mutant death walrus John Bolton appeared on Radio Free Asia and said of negotiations with North Korea, “I think we should insist that if this meeting is going to take place, it will be similar to discussions we had with Libya 13 or 14 years ago.”
Bolton has been loudly and publicly advocating “the Libya model” with the DPRK ever since.
“I think we’re looking at the Libya model of 2003, 2004,” Bolton said on Face the Nation last month, and said the same on Fox News Sunday in case anyone failed to get the message.
Bolton never bothered to refine his message by saying, for example, “Without the part where we betray and invade them and get their leader mutilated to death in the streets.” He just said they’re doing Libya again.
This was what John Bolton was saying before he was hired, and this was what John Bolton continued to say after he was hired. This was what John Bolton was hired to do. He was hired to sabotage peace and facilitate death and destruction. That is what he does. That is what he is for. Can openers open cans, John Bolton starts wars. You don’t buy a can opener to rotate your tires, and you don’t hire John Bolton to facilitate peace.
It should have surprised no one, then, when the administration saw Bolton’s Libya comments and raised him a canceled peace talk.
“You know, there were some talk about the Libya model last week,” Vice President Pence told Fox News on Saturday. “And you know, as the president made clear, you know, this will only end like the Libya model ended if Kim Jong-un doesn’t make a deal.”
“Some people saw that as a threat,” Fox’s Martha MacCallum replied, because there is no other way it could possibly be interpreted.
Pence blathered something about it being “a fact”, not a threat, but that is because he is a fake plastic doll manufactured by Raytheon. It was an extremely obvious and blatant threat, so of course North Korea responded accordingly. Below is the full text of the response to Pence’s statement by North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, which reportedly was the basis for Trump’s cancellation of the scheduled summit in Singapore:
“At an interview with Fox News on May 21, US Vice-President Pence made unbridled and impudent remarks that North Korea might end like Libya, military option for North Korea never came off the table, the US needs complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation, and so on.
As a person involved in the US affairs, I cannot suppress my surprise at such ignorant and stupid remarks gushing out from the mouth of the US vice-president.
If he is vice-president of “single superpower” as is in name, it will be proper for him to know even a little bit about the current state of global affairs and to sense to a certain degree the trends in dialogue and the climate of détente.
We could surmise more than enough what a political dummy he is as he is trying to compare the DPRK, a nuclear weapon state, to Libya that had simply installed a few items of equipment and fiddled around with them.
Soon after the White House National Security Adviser Bolton made the reckless remarks, Vice-President Pence has again spat out nonsense that the DPRK would follow in Libya’s footstep.
It is to be underlined, however, that in order not to follow in Libya’s footstep, we paid a heavy price to build up our powerful and reliable strength that can defend ourselves and safeguard peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the region.
In view of the remarks of the US high-ranking politicians who have not yet woken up to this stark reality and compare the DPRK to Libya that met a tragic fate, I come to think that they know too little about us.
To borrow their words, we can also make the US taste an appalling tragedy it has neither experienced nor even imagined up to now.
Before making such reckless threatening remarks without knowing exactly who he is facing, Pence should have seriously considered the terrible consequences of his words.
It is the US who has asked for dialogue, but now it is misleading the public opinion as if we have invited them to sit with us.
I only wonder what is the ulterior motive behind its move and what is it the US has calculated to gain from that.
We will neither beg the US for dialogue nor take the trouble to persuade them if they do not want to sit together with us.
Whether the US will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behavior of the United States.
In case the US offends against our goodwill and clings to unlawful and outrageous acts, I will put forward a suggestion to our supreme leadership for reconsidering the DPRK-US summit.”
Trump cancels North Korea summit? Actually John Bolton already torpedoed it by telling North Korea to self destruct with the “Libya model”. This was perfect warmonger strategy to stop the threat of peace breaking out on the Peninsula. South Korea, please stay the course!
The message of Trump’s withdrawal couldn’t be more clear: we get to threaten you, you don’t get to threaten us. This extremely one-sided dynamic is not a style of negotiation that any sane person would go along with if they didn’t have to, and as Choe pointed out, North Korea doesn’t have to. Libya had only the barest rudiments of what could have eventually one day become a nuclear program. North Korea has a full arsenal, and thus a much bigger stack of bargaining chips. A negotiation at gunpoint can only be one-sided if the other side has no gun.
This negotiation was never meant to succeed. Publicly stating that North Korea gets “the Libya model” was like a hostage negotiator offering “the Waco model”. It was plainly designed to fail.
Of course the US-centralized empire has no intention of a mutually beneficial negotiation with a sovereign nation. That isn’t how imperialism works. You either join the mass of tightly allied nations which function in effective unison on foreign policy, or you are smashed like Libya. This policy of threatening nations to join the empire on pain of decimation is what is causing all nonconforming nations to form into a growing and increasingly close alliance of their own, and it is what is causing them to seek nuclear weapons so that they don’t end up like Libya.
If there’s a silver lining to be found in all of this, it was summed up by the Ron Paul Liberty Report’s Daniel McAdams:
“I think Trump is making America great again by making America irrelevant. We are irrelevant in the North and South peace talks right now. The ball is completely in [South Korea President] Moon’s court, what is he going to do next; we’ve basically recused ourselves from the whole process. Which is very, very good for us. So I feel rather upbeat. I think although it’s always better to talk to people, and it would be better to talk, but in the current environment, for us to get out of the way is really the non-interventionist position.”
America getting out of the way would be great for everyone, especially for the Americans whose resources are being relentlessly consumed by constant aggressive interventionism and an oligarchy whose vastly disproportionate wealth is propped up with the barrel of a gun. The natural drive of plutocratic smash-and-grab imperialism is in the exact opposite direction of non-interventionism, but as people continue to wake up from the madness and the rest of the world refuses to be consumed by the blob, it’s possible that the empire ends not with a bang but with a barely noticed fizzle. US Threatens to ‘Crush’ Iran, Vows ‘Strongest Sanctions in History’
(ANTIWAR.COM) — Setting up a new level of hostility toward Iran after the US withdrew from the P5+1 nuclear deal, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo promised “unprecedented financial pressure” Monday in comments to the Heritage Foundation. He said the US would impose the “strongest sanctions in history” against the Iranians.
“We will track down Iranian operatives and their Hezbollah proxies operating around the world and crush them,” Pompeo said.
The justification for this was a vague mention of Iran being a “malign influence,” and false allegations that they have “nuclear ambitions,” despite Iran still being a part of a nuclear deal which limits them to only a very small civilian nuclear program.
Pompeo said sanctions are in full effect and more are coming. He further issued a broad string of demands on the Iranians. This included withdrawing all forces from Syria, and totally ending support for both Hezbollah and Hamas.
Asking Iran to withdraw all “forces” from Syria is likely not possible for them to comply with, as US officials have generally presented Shi’ite militias who aren’t from Iran in the first place as “Iranian controlled” force. Iran could no more expel these Shi’ites from Syria than the US could remove all Kurdish forces from Syria.
Whether the demands are reasonable, or practical, is neither here nor there anyhow. That’s because Pompeo is not suggesting that compliance with all of these demands would mean an end to sanctions. Even if he did, the US just got done reneging on sanctions relief toward Iran with the nuclear deal.
The Trump Administration wanted out of the nuclear deal to start ratcheting up sanctions, which they see as an end unto themselves. Having done so, Pompeo is just bragging about how great those sanctions will be, not implying that there is any way to avoid them.

Meijerink ziet dit volkomen terecht als protest tegen de uitsluiting tijdens de Dodenherdenking van de slachtoffers die de Nederlandse bezetter in Indonesië maakte*, zoals de nazi-Duitse bezettingsmacht een paar jaar daarvoor in Nederland veel slachtoffers heeft gemaakt (wat dan weer wel op 4 mei wordt herdacht…)…… Sterker nog: de daders van de massamoorden in Indonesië worden wel herdacht tijdens de Dodenherdenking……..
Volgens mijn zoon kan je beter spreken i.p.v. stil zijn, immers er wordt veel te weinig gesproken over het leed wat wij bijvoorbeeld heden ten dage nog aanrichten in landen waar we niets te zoeken hebben…… Daarnaast blijft het noodzakelijk te blijven spreken over WOII, waar Nederlanders tot de slachtoffers behoorden en het spreken over andere oorlogen (illegale-) waar Nederland aan mee heeft gedaan of aan meedoet, plus het spreken over de aanloop naar WOII. Dit spreken is letterlijk van levensbelang, zodat we niet nog eens mensen als vee zullen behandelen, of andere minderheden zo behandelen (waar de omgang met vluchtelingen daar al behoorlijk op begint te lijken….. Al moet ik zeggen dat men vee normaal gesproken niet laat verhongeren….)
Bovendien kan je dan ook wijzen op het gevaar dat een beweging als de PVV vormt voor de democratie, zoals de partij van Hitler, de NSDAP in aanloop tot 1933 een gevaar was voor de Duitse democratie, 1933 het jaar waarin Hitler de macht overnam…. Hoewel de joden niet het doel zijn, heeft Wilders er geen geheim van gemaakt wat hij met de Marokkanen wil doen als hij het voor het zeggen zou krijgen >> deporteren naar Noord-Afrika! (en mocht dat niet lukken, wie weet wat er dan uit zijn totaal verrotte brein opduikt als ‘oplossing voor het Marokkanen vraagstuk….’)

Wie een beetje heeft bijgehouden wat er de laatste jaren in Jemen is gebeurd, zal niet verrast zijn bij het lezen van de kop horend bij het artikel op ANTIWAR, waarmee duidelijk wordt gemaakt dat speciale troepen van het VS terreurleger meevechten in Jemen.
Al langer wordt er gemeld dat deze speciale troepen zich ook op de grond in Jemen ophouden en daar meewerken aan de genocide die Saoedi-Arabië uitvoert op de sjiitische bevolking…. Al twee jaar geleden doken er berichten op van speciale VS troepen, die na te hebben gevochten in Jemen, terugkeerden naar Saoedi-Arabië, of naar één van de marineschepen waarmee de VS de Saoedische coalitie helpt de sjiieten te blokkeren zodat o.a. humanitaire goederen maar mondjesmaat de lijdende bevolking bereiken……. Op grond van die informatie gaf het Congres het Pentagon verdere bevoegdheden voor de strijd in Jemen….*

US Army Special Forces Secretly Fighting Saudi Arabia’s War in Yemen
(ANTIWAR.COM) — The US military is more deeply involved in the Saudi War in Yemen than officials ever admitted. In fact, new evidence suggests the Pentagon lied to Congress during the March debate about US involvement, presenting the US role at present being limited to targeting and mid-air refueling of Saudi warplanes.
The New York Times is reporting on Thursday that there are actually a small number of US special forces on the ground at the Saudi border with Yemen. Those troops have not only been on the ground since late 2017, but are there on a mission to help the Saudi military fight Yemen’s Shi’ite Houthi movement.
No public debate took place with respect to this deployment. Indeed, the Pentagon appears to have gone to great lengths not to tell the American public or the Congress about the Green Berets they sent to the border. The Green Berets are intended to help the Saudis “locate and destroy” Houthi missile caches, and attack Houthi launch sites inside Yemen.
This has been going on despite the Trump Administration telling Congress that America’s involvement in Yemen was purely “non-combat,” and again, despite the Pentagon repeatedly saying that America’s sole involvement in Yemen was logistics and support for the air war.
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) said the Pentagon was deliberately “blurring the lines between train and equip missions and combat.” It is unclear from the New York Times report if the US troops crossed into Yemen, but given that their mission was to target Houthi sites, it seems almost certain that they have.
Centcom Commander Gen. Joseph Votel, during the March debate, did say that he had authorization to “help the Saudis defend their border.” At that time, however, he told the Senate this was being done purely through intelligence sharing and “military advice.” Clearly, it also involved physical US troops on the border.
It remains to be seen what the consequences of the Pentagon’s deception will be domestically. At the very least it seems like this could provide a new pretext for a vote on ending US involvement in the Yemen War, as Congress lacked all the information they needed to have an informed vote in March.

The Syrian Campaign is een dochtermaatschappij voor public relations organisatie ‘Purpose’ in de VS, een organisatie die stelt onafhankelijk te zijn, maar dat allesbehalve is, sterker nog: Purpose is bezig met een missie om westerse interventie in Syrië te uit te lokken en pleitte eerder al voor een ‘no-fly zone’ boven Syrisch grondgebied…….. Gelukkig dat er nog veel mensen zijn, die het deze organisatie onmogelijk maken om in het openbaar campagne te voeren (in de VS, een voorbeeld video in het hieronder opgenomen bericht).
De schrijver van dat artikel, geplaatst op Activist Post, John Vibes legt nog eens uit wat er mankeert aan de White Helmets, zoals het feestvieren met terreurgroepen na een overwinning, of het helpen met executies….. Ook zijn White Helmets leden in het verleden al betrapt met wapens in de hand, als waren deze terroristen op dat moment niet als White Helmets waren uitgedost……
Verder komt het op poten zetten van de White Helmets nog eens voorbij, de organisatie werd door een Britse officier in Turkije op poten gezet, met geld van Turkije, de VS en Groot-Brittannië…….
Goed dat er nog veel echte hippies als Waters zijn, mensen die zich inzetten tegen onrecht, mensenrechtenschendingen, valse propaganda om illegale oorlogen goed te lullen en die daadwerkelijk actie ondernemen tegen zaken die hier toe bijdragen (dit geldt overigens gelukkig ook voor punkers en alternativo’s die niet verzakelijkt zijn, maar hun oude idealen trouw zijn gebleven!
Pink Floyd Frontman Leaks Email Exposing How White Helmets Recruit Celebs With Saudi Money
Earlier this week, The Free Thought Projectreported that Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters stopped a concert in Barcelona to warn the crowd about pro-war propaganda that is coming from a group in Syria known as the White Helmets.
In the days since Waters has taken several interviews to further explain his views, the most interesting of which was with a group called the Grayzone Project, where exclusive Emails were featured, showing conversations between Waters’ team and representatives of the White Helmets.
Waters’ first encounter with the White Helmets was actually long before his April 13 concert, back in October 2016 when Saudi-British billionaire Hani Farsi invited him to a lavish fundraiser that he was holding on behalf of the White Helmet affiliated group “The Syria Campaign.”
The Syria Campaign is a subsidiary of the New York-based PR agency, Purpose, which claims to be impartial in the Syrian civil war. But as Alternet reported, they are on a mission to provoke western intervention in the region and have even openly called for a no-fly zone. The Syria Campaign works very closely with the White Helmets and likely has many of the same members.
Last year, the Syria Campaign paid actors up to $600 each to participate in a pro-White Helmet flash mob and orchestral performance at New York City’s Grand Central Station.

Despite the firm’s best efforts to fill the crowd with people at least pretending to be in favor of their message, anti-war activists still showed up to protestthe event, holding up signs that read “Hands off Syria!” “This is U.S. war propaganda,” and “No U.S. bases in Syria.”
The White Helmets were founded in Turkey by a former British MI5 officer named James Le Mesurier. The group has received at least $55 million from the UK government and an additional $23 million from the U.S. government, both of whom have regime change interests in the region. According to data agency Gov Tribe, the U.S. government has given at least $339.6 million in foreign aid to groups attempting to bring about a “transition” in Syria.
The “transition” that the White Helmets and affiliated groups are hoping to bring in Syria is far from peaceful and well-intentioned. Members of the WH have been filmed and photographed standing and celebrating with Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists after battles, helping to conduct public executions, and they were even caught carrying around headless bodies.
The Syria Campaign has attempted to cover up these atrocities bydismissing video evidence as “Russian propaganda,” a familiar excuse that has been parroted by government representatives in the U.S. and the UK.
The event that Waters was invited to in 2016 was officially sponsored by one of Farsi’s holding companies, called the Corniche Group.

For the past fifty years, the Farsi family has been active in Europe and the Middle East in urban planning, real estate, property development, the arts, and philanthropy. Led by Hani Farsi, the son of visionary civic leader and philanthropist Mohammed Said Farsi who is credited with shaping modern Saudi Arabia into a global business power player.
The invitation that Waters received said:
I am writing to invite you and a guest to join Hani at a fundraising dinner that he is hosting on Monday 21st November on behalf of The Syria Campaign…The Asfari Foundation provided the start-up funds for The Syria Campaign and we will be joined on the evening by Sawsan Asfari…Their work with The White Helmets has helped these rescue workers attract more than $15 million in government funding and turned them into household names – narrowly missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize this year.
Waters said he did his research and was suspicious of the motives that these interests had, so he never responded and avoided getting involved in those efforts. Instead, Waters did his own research on what was going on in Syria and used his platform to speak out against U.S. intervention.
Unfortunately, a handful of other celebrities did take the bait and signed on to publicly support the White Helmets and the Syria Campaign. These names include George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Daniel Craig, Justin Timberlake, Aziz Ansari and Zoe Saldana.
“I was quite suspicious after I was invited to that [White Helmets] dinner. And now my worst suspicions have been confirmed,” Waters told the Grayzone Project. “I would encourage the celebrities who’ve signed to endorse the White Helmets to stop supporting them because we know what they are. I don’t blame them for having bought into it. On the face of it, it felt plausible that the White Helmets were just good people doing good things.
But now we know they’re trying to encourage the West to drops bombs and missiles illegally in Syria.”
Then just last week before his recent concert, Waters was approached yet again through e-mail, this time by a French photojournalist named Pascal Hanrion who described himself as a “militant with the Syrian White Helmets.”
The Email read:
Good afternoon, my name is Pascal Hanrion, I’m photo reporter and climber. I’m a militant with the Syrian White Helmets to denounce crimes against humanity in Syria, especially against children. Last Sunday, I made an important happening in Paris, climbing to the top of center Georges Pompidou museum. I am in Barcelona to do the same, in relation with a very powerful Syrian network. Please, could I meet Roger Water to ask to invite me few seconds on the stage tomorrow during the concert to send a message with him to the children of Syria ‘you are not forgotten!’
As I reported earlier this week, Waters did not give this man his requested time onstage but instead addressed the audience himself with a message of peace and non-intervention.
These Emails give a behind the scenes look at how pro-war PR firms attempt to harness the power of celebrity to promote political ideas that these celebrities often know very little about. These agencies are depending on busy artists or musicians to take them at their word in regards to life-and-death political issues, but luckily at least a few of them seem to be doing their research.

Zoals gewoonlijk maken wapenfabrikanten enorme winsten door oorlogen en ellende in ‘conflictgebieden’ (vooral gebieden waar de VS haar grootschalige terreur uitoefent…)…. Gelukkig heeft Atkins, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel van MintPress News (MPN), gekeken naar de winsten die wapenfabrikanten maakten n.a.v. de illegale aanval met kruisraketten op Syrische doelen door de VS, GB en Frankrijk, uitgevoerd in de nacht van vrijdag 13 op zaterdag 14 april….
Het gaat hier dan alleen nog om wapenfabrikanten die contracten hebben met het ministerie van illegale oorlogen in de VS…… Houd je vast: de aandelen van de fabrikanten (die mede de gebruikte kruisraketten fabriceerden), stegen na deze illegale aanvallen met maar liefst 10 miljard dollar….!!! Uiteraard ging de olieprijs ook omhoog en profiteerden de oplichters van de oliemaffia (de grote oliebedrijven) evenzeer van deze oorlogshandelingen, immers er dreigde door deze aanval een grootschalige oorlog met Rusland en zoals je begrijpt: voor oorlogsvoering is een enorme hoeveelheid benzine, diesel, stookolie en kerosine nodig……… Vorige week maandag zakten deze koersen weer enigszins toen bleek dat Rusland, zoals gewoonlijk de laatste jaren, wel haar verstand gebruikte en niet de strijd aanging met terreurentiteiten VS, GB en Frankrijk……..
Zo zie je maar, er is een enorme groep mensen (vooral aandeelhouders en de top van wapenfabrieken) die profiteert van oorlogen en de enorme ellende onder de bevolkingen die deze moeten doorstaan…….. Waar de wapenfabrikanten in de VS ook nog eens de republikeinen steunen, die tegen de opname zijn van ook maar 1 vluchteling uit door de VS in oorlog gedompelde landen…… De hoogste tijd dat wapenfabrikanten worden aangeklaagd bij het internationaal strafhof (ICC), daar zij in feite de medeverantwoordelijken zijn voor het enorme aantal doden, waar de VS alleen deze eeuw al verantwoordelijk voor is, intussen meer dan 20 miljoen (moorden…)……
Since President Trump announced that he intended to bomb Syria, the stock values of some of the country’s top weapons manufacturers have soared, adding a collective $10 billion in market capitalization values over the course of just one week. With Trump delivering on his promise this weekend, the rally on Wall Street continues. A barrage of 118 (or more) U.S. Tomahawk cruise missiles rained down on Syria Friday night—Trump’s punishment for the alleged chemical weapons attack carried out by Bashar al-Assad’s government in Douma (for which the world is still awaiting hard evidence). Trump’s tweet on April 9 that he would be taking action against Syria launched the stock prices of some of America’s major defense suppliers into the skies, and they are still climbing. For Raytheon (RTN), the company which manufactures the Tomahawk cruise missiles used against Syria, nearly $2.5 billion has been added to the company’s market value. Add together the gains from other top weapons makers Lockheed Martin (LMT), General Dynamics (GD), Boeing (BA), and Northrop Grumman (NOC), and it becomes apparent just how profitable a business war can be. Lockheed Martin makes the tactical control system, another of the required components of the Tomahawk launch apparatus. General Dynamics, meanwhile, manufactures the missile’s firing system. Boeing builds the B-1 bombers used in the strikes as well as its own variety of cruise missiles, while Northrop Grumman produces radar systems and other bombers, like the B-2 Stealth. The investor crowd was giddy about the money-making opportunities last week. On the stock tip blog “The Street” on Friday, trader Stephen Guilfoyle was recommending “4 Hot Defense Stocks for Syria,” telling his readers, “The world remains dangerous, and dangerous ‘toys’ are increasingly in demand.” For the American people, the immediate cost of subsidizing the profits of war was at least $165 million—just for the Tomahawk missiles themselves, which cost the government $1.4 million each. This, of course, doesn’t account for the tens of millions of dollars or more that it cost to mobilize the equipment and forces necessary to carry out the air strikes. Even though this round of strikes is being spun as a one-night affair, it is actually part of a sustained campaign in Syria and across the Middle East aimed at protecting U.S. dominance against the growth of Iranian and Russian influence. Almost exactly a year ago, there was a round of air strikes on Syria over another alleged chemical attack, and U.S. troops have been on the ground inside the country since late 2015. With known war-hawks now holding prominent positions in the cabinet—including John Bolton as National Security Advisor, Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State, and Gina Haspel as head of the CIA—the likelihood that this weekend’s missile strikes were a one-off event are next to nil. All three of these figures were connected with the disastrous war in Iraq under George W. Bush, which was justified by the need to eliminate Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction”—weapons which didn’t actually exist. Meanwhile, the party on Wall Street carries on, with the promise of even brighter days ahead for defense contractors. Immediately following the bombing, Trump pledged “billions of fully approved dollars” in additional military spending on Saturday morning. Speaking of the U.S. military’s overwhelming power in the world, he continued, saying, “There won’t be anything, or anyone, even close!” That is exactly what this weekend’s air strikes were intended to tell the world.
