Get Daniel Hale and Everyone Else Out of Solitary Confinement

Daniel Hale performed a public service, informing us of the reckless and deadly cruelty of drone wars. Even people who approve of such things do so in the name of democracy, which requires that they know what is being done.

Hale should never have been sentenced to prison, but at least he was ordered to a low-security prison where he would be provided with counseling for his post traumatic stress, moral injury, and all the mental anguish demonstrated in the letter he sent to the judge (linked below).

But now Hale has been summarily transferred to a maximum security prison and put into 24-hour-a-day solitary confinement, a practice widely recognized as the crime of torture, not to mention the Constitutional violation of “cruel and unusual punishment.”

We need to speak up for Daniel Hale and for every other person being subjected to this torturous practice.
