Met het schaamrood op de kaken moet is vaststellen een belangrijk artikel aangaande de bewapening van terreurgroepen door de VS te hebben laten liggen.

In dit artikel van Whitney Webb o.a. aandacht voor het enorme aantal wapens, inclusief chemische wapens (als Sarin gas), dat de VS in Syrië leverde aan de door haar gesteunde terreurgroepen (in het westen aangeduid als ‘gematigde rebellen)…… Daarnaast stopte de VS honderden miljoenen dollars in deze terreurgroepen…….. Militaire training was eveneens een manier van hulpverlening aan psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters…………….

Al-Qaeda Became an American Ally in the ‘War on Terror’

Nearly
16 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the United States is
inexplicably finding itself in bed with al-Qaeda, its alleged sworn
enemy. The group’s efforts to terrorize the population of Syria
have been rewarded with U.S. arms, training and other military aid.

(MPN) — Despite
ostensibly being the United States’ “Public Enemy No. 1”
following the 9/11 attacks, the international terror group al-Qaeda
has instead been a beneficiary of U.S. military aid in the post-9/11
world, particularly in Syria. With the Syrian conflict well into its
sixth year, al-Qaeda’s active branch in that war, widely known as
Jabhat al-Nusra or the al-Nusra Front, has continually received arms
and military protection from the United States, an outcome that is
clearly counterproductive to the U.S.’ global “War on Terror.”

Yet,
while the arming and propping up of al-Qaeda in Syria may not serve
the U.S.’ fundamental goal of eradicating terrorism, it certainly
has helped the U.S. political establishment pursue a decades-old goal
of regime change in regionally strategic Syria.

Gareth
Porter, an award-winning independent investigative journalist, and
historian told MintPress News that such tactics are part of the U.S.
government’s long-standing “bureaucratic habit of mind that
really privileges short-term advantages against state adversaries
over the long term, fundamental interests of the American people.”

In
this case, U.S. counter-terrorism efforts have been usurped by the
government’s broader geopolitical interests in reshaping the Middle
East. While Washington politicians and bureaucrats may be content
with having helped extend Syria’s “civil war” to their benefit
and the benefit of their allies, this reality has had the ugly
consequence of the U.S. willfully sponsoring
terrorists who torture civilians to death,
regularly conduct mass executions, kidnap children and mutilate the
bodies of their victims.

U.S.
funneled Libyan arms, chemical weapons to “rebels”

The
U.S.’ arming of al-Nusra began when the conflict in Syria was in
its infancy. In September 2011, the Obama administration began
providing logistical assistance to anti-Assad forces – namely the
Free Syrian Army, Syrian Revolutionaries Front, the Democratic Forces
of Syria and related groups – who were then supported by U.S.
allies Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. These groups received an
estimated $1 billion from
the CIA every year from 2012 until the program was scaled back in
2015. In addition, the U.S. government gave
another $500 million to
the “rebels” in 2014 which was intended to train thousands of
opposition fighters – an operation that turned out to be remarkably
ineffective.

A
year later, the CIA initiated weapon shipments to these
foreign-funded “rebels” by
funneling weapons that
once belonged to the fallen Gaddafi regime in Libya to
anti-government militias in Syria.

As
Gareth Porter details in his recent piece “How
America Armed Terrorists in Syria,”
the CIA continued to connect U.S. regional allies directly arming the
opposition with weapons from Libya and former Soviet bloc countries,
resulting in an estimated 8,000 tons of weapons being poured into
Syria in less than four months, from December 2012 to mid-March 2013.
The quantity of weapons that flooded into Syria from 2011 until that
time undoubtedly dwarfs this figure.

In
addition, the U.S. secured more than just conventional arms being
shipped to Syria. For instance, Pulitzer Prize-winning
journalist Seymour
Hersh exposed how
the Gaddafi regime’s chemical weapon stores were also sent to
foreign-backed opposition forces in Syria, including sarin gas. Hersh
has suggested that former Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton approved the chemical weapon transfers.

While
the U.S. was not directly arming al-Nusra specifically at this time,
the terror group’s effectiveness at combating the Syrian
government, along with their ruthlessness, quickly made them the
darlings of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who were funding the “rebels”
with their own money and with U.S. assistance.

By
late 2012, the U.S. was well-aware that most of the arms it was
sending into the country were going to Syria’s al-Qaeda offshoot.
As the New
York Times reported in
October 2012, U.S. officials acknowledged off the record that “most”
of the arms shipped to Syrian “rebels” with U.S. support had
ended up in the hands of “hardline Islamic jihadists.”

However,
internal government communications reveal that the government knew
that such “jihadists” were al-Nusra. A now-declassified
U.S. government internal report from
2012 stated that the “the Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood and AQI
[al-Qaeda in Iraq] are the major forces driving the insurgency in
Syria.” However, no efforts were taken to halt the U.S.-supported
flow of arms to such groups, which continued years after this
surprisingly frank admission.

Other
evidence from that same year has suggested that this “oversight”
was intentional. For instance, a
2012 email written
by Jacob Sullivan and sent to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
stated that “AQ [al-Qaeda] is on our side in Syria,” implying a
tacit alliance of sorts between the U.S. government and known
terrorist elements that dominated the Syrian armed opposition.

Despite
the true nature of the foreign-funded opposition being well-known to
U.S. officials, the arming of these so-called “rebel” groups only
became more rampant in the years that followed, with the
U.S. supplying
them with
heavy weaponry, such as anti-tank
missiles and anti-aircraft
weapons,
while also providing themwith
training.

The
advantage of such substantial support from the U.S. and its regional
allies has only led to the rapid growth and strengthening of
al-Nusra, enabling them to out-compete and eventually absorb nearly
all groups belonging to the U.S.-backed “moderate rebels” active
within Syria.

As
al-Nusra’s influence grew, many “moderate” groups who shared
similar ideas began to work alongside the terror group and eventually
became part of it or directly allied with it. Among the first to do
so were U.S.-supported groups such as Ahrar al-Sham and Jaysh
al-Islam, whose cooperation and close relationship with al-Nusra has
been documented by
the pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

But
the U.S. had no complaints when Jaysh al-Islam led
the Syrian opposition at
peace talks in Geneva in 2016. In addition, the U.S. has
consistently refused to
add al-Nusra collaborators to the UN terrorist list, prompting some
journalists to call such
a refusal an “unwitting U.S. admission” regarding who really
leads the “rebellion” in Syria.

According
to the
Russian Defense Ministry,
the vast majority of Syrian opposition groups supported by the U.S.
form “an integral part” of al-Nusra front. Even the mainstream
press in the United States has admitted that most “rebel” groups
have been overtaken by al-Nusra. For instance, in
February, the Washington
Postquoted an
official with the U.S.-backed Fastaqim rebel group as saying
“Al-Qaeda is eating us” and that al-Qaeda’s influence and power
led his group chose to join the al-Nusra affiliated group Ahrar
al-Sham.

As
University of Oklahoma Center for Middle East Studies Director Joshua
Landis told
Sputnik last year:

“The
United States has placed itself in a very difficult situation because
many of the rebel groups that it wants to become principal holders of
state power in Syria work hand and glove with Al-Qaeda.”

Supporting
al-Qaeda from the shadows

While
the arming of Syrian “rebels” that are either members of or
affiliated with al-Nusra should be controversial enough, the U.S.
government has also managed to aid the terror group in other ways,
offering them protection and covert tools to bolster their ranks.

The
U.S. State Department and the U.S. military have
long justified the
presence of U.S. military personnel and assets within Syria as being
directly aimed at fighting terrorists within that nation, namely
Daesh (ISIS). However, on repeated occasions, the U.S. has worked to
protect al-Nusra by
asking the Russian military and
Syrian government to avoid targeting the terror group.

Such
requests have led Russia to call the U.S.’ commitment to fighting
al-Nusra into question, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov stating
in October last
year that the Russian government “doesn’t see any facts that the
U.S. is seriously battling al-Nusra.”

However,
the words of al-Nusra members themselves paint an even more
disturbing picture of direct U.S. involvement in aiding the group. In
an interview with
German newspaper Koelner
Stadt-Anzeiger,
an al-Nusra unit commander named Abu Al Ezz stated that when al-Nusra
was under siege from the Syrian and Russian governments that “we
had officers from Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Israel and America
here…Experts in the use of satellites, rockets, reconnaissance, and
thermal security cameras.”

When
asked to confirm the presence of U.S. instructors within its ranks,
Al Ezz replied “the Americans are on our side,” echoing a 2012
email exchange between Hillary Clinton and her advisor Jacob Sullivan
regarding al-Qaeda in Syria.

Perhaps
this explains why the “Stop Arming Terrorists Act” introduced by
Hawaiian Democratic Senator Tulsi Gabbard, which would bar federal
agencies from using taxpayer-backed funds to provide weapons,
training or any other type of support to terrorist cells such as
al-Qaeda, Daesh or any other group associated with them,was
only supported by 2 percent of
U.S. congressmen.

U.S.’
history of flirting with terrorist groups for geopolitical gain

While
the strategy of arming al-Qaeda affiliated terrorists and extremists
in Syria may seem bizarre, it is actually part of a long-standing
U.S. government practice that led to the terror group’s founding in
the first place. Indeed, al-Qaeda is the textbook example of the U.S.
creating and arming a terror group for political purposes.

Under
the presidency of Ronald Reagan, the U.S. government sent
billions of dollars in military aid to
the mujahideen in Afghanistan as part of a U.S.-supported “jihad”
against the Soviet Union. These extremist fighters, led by Osama bin
Laden, would soon become known as al-Qaeda. Gareth Porter told
MintPress that the creation of al-Qaeda under the Reagan
administration “set the precedent for the U.S. to support jihadi
forces where and when it is deemed to serve broader U.S. political
and diplomatic aims.”

Years
later, al-Qaeda’s relationship with the U.S. is best described as a
love-hate affair. As Garikai
Chengu wrote in Counterpunch in
2014: “Depending on whether a particular al-Qaeda terrorist group
in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State
Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group.
Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim
extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy.”

However,
al-Qaeda is just one example of the U.S.’ aiding and abetting of
terror groups in order to realize broader geopolitical aims targeting
“enemies” of the U.S. political establishment. Latin America, for
instance, is rife with examples of how the U.S. trained and funded
terror groups to destabilize or topple leftist governments,
particularly in Nicaragua and El
Salvador in
the 1970s and 1980s.

Colombia
is another example that bares an uncanny resemblance to the U.S.’
policy in the Syrian conflict. Colombia, the U.S.’ closest ally in
South America, has
received over $4 billion in
U.S. military assistance since 2000. Much of that assistance has gone
to elements of the military – including right-wing paramilitary
groups – that the U.S. State Department had “vetted” and
“determined had complied with human rights requirements.”

While
that vetting was taking place, Colombia reported a surge in the
Colombian military murdering civilians in cold blood, resulting in
329 civilians killed in 2007. The Los
Angeles Times reported that
47 percent of those murders had been conducted by the very army units
previously “vetted” by the State Department.

Iraq
is another example where, for civilians, the line between “rebel”
terrorist and “army” terrorist is becoming increasingly thin.
There, the U.S. recently doubled down, promising to continue sending
aid to elements of the Iraqi Security Forces that have documented
carrying out human rights violations and war crimes. Many of the more
notorious units within the Iraqi Security Forces were
trained by former
U.S. special forces operative James Steele, who first made a name for
himself training U.S.-backed paramilitary forces that terrorized El
Salvador in the 1980s.

The
U.S.’ well-documented history of supporting and using terror groups
to fulfill geopolitical goals is so convincing that even Lt. General
William Odom, director of the National Security Agency under Ronald
Reagan, has
noted that “By
any measure, the U.S. has long used terrorism. In ‘78-79 the Senate
was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every
version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in
violation.”

Today,
little has changed, especially given the true nature of U.S.
involvement with the “moderate” opposition in Syria. Now, the
Trump administration has taken to inventing chemical attacks to blame
on the Syrian government before
they even happen,
again hoping to justify Western intervention in Syria.

The
timing couldn’t be better, as only Western
intervention is
guaranteed to save Syria’s struggling al-Qaeda “rebels” and
create the next failed state in the Middle East.

Mosul is ‘bevrijd’ zo stelt de VS, daar zijn echter wel wat aanmerkingen op te maken………

In een artikel van Shahtahmasebi op Anti-Media (11 juli jl.) stelt de schrijver dat er een behoorlijke stank hangt rond de ‘bevrijding’ van Mosul, niet alleen de letterlijke stank van lijken die nog onder het puin liggen (lijken van meer dan 4.000 mensen die werden vermoord middels bombardementen), maar ook een figuurlijke stank……

Volgens Shahtahmasebi had de VS in 2014 kunnen voorkomen, dat IS de grens van Syrië naar Irak overstak. De VS liet dit moordend tuig hun gang gaan, zodat het leger van de VS kon deelnemen aan het verdrijven van IS uit Irak. Daarmee legitimeerde de VS voor zichzelf en haar hielenlikkende partners, het besluit om in de achtervolging van IS vanuit Irak de grens met Syrië over te steken en zo het reguliere Syrische leger te kunnen aanvallen, zoals intussen meermaals is gebeurd………. De VS stak dan ook geen poot uit, toen bleek dat IS grote aantallen VS wapens, Humvee’s tanks en helikopters buit maakte in Irak, terwijl het makkelijk IS aan had kunnen vallen, dit nog naast minstens 2 VS leveringen van wapens en munitie direct aan IS……….

De VS heeft haar tactiek pas veranderd, nadat Rusland het reguliere Syrische leger te hulp schoot en IS werkelijk en effectief werd bestreden……….

Het gebruik van terreurgroepen is overigens een tactiek die de VS ook in Syrië gebruikte: de VS liet IS en andere terreurgroepen (‘gematigde rebellen’) haar gang gaan in Syrië, waarmee dit moordend en verkrachtend tuig werd en wordt gebruikt als een extra legermacht tegen het reguliere Syrische leger….. Voorts heeft de VS de ‘gematigde rebellen’ in Syrië van wapens, munitie en training voorzien, al deze ‘gematigde rebellen’ zijn gelieerd aan Al Qaida, zo bleek onlangs (waar Saoedi-Arabië de financiën voor deze terreurgroepen regelt, naast ook levering van wapens en munitie)…… Niet voor niets ook. dat de VS onlangs het besluit nam Al Qaida Syrië van de terreurlijst te halen…….

Jammer dat Shahtahmasebi in zijn artikel stelt dat Iraanse troepen zich te buiten zijn gegaan aan oorlogsmisdaden, daar is geen nanometer bewijs voor. Waarschijnlijk maakt hij de fout, om sjiitische terreurgroepen, die meevechten met de Iraakse coalitie (die in feite door de VS wordt aangestuurd), als Iraans militairen aan te duiden. Iraanse militairen die zouden worden gepakt voor oorlogsmisdaden begaan in Irak of Syrië, zullen zwaar worden gestraft door Iraanse militaire rechtbanken……

Het aantal doden dat Shahtahmasebi noemt is intussen zwaar achterhaald, onlangs werd bekend gemaakt, dat er de laatste 9 maanden in Mosul meer dan 40.000 inwoners zijn vermoord (vooral middels VS bombardementen….)….*

The
Media Says the US Just Liberated Mosul: Here’s What Really Happened

(ANTIMEDIA) — The
mainstream media appears to
be celebrating ISIS’ recent defeat in Mosul, albeit with
some reservations.
The media is largely using the word “liberation,” which indicates
the people of Mosul have been freed from a monstrous force by a
friendly, benevolent one.

In
reality, the “liberation” of Mosul paints a dark, horrifying
picture of America’s foreign policy when one realizes how ISIS took
hold of Mosul in the first place. As Anti-Media in summarized in
September of last year, the U.S. allowed ISIS to gain control of
Mosul quite deliberately:

“In
June 2014, ISIS crossed the Syrian border into Iraq, effortlessly
taking the strategic oil-rich cities of Mosul and Baiji and
almost making it as far as Baghdad. Amid the terror group’s
frightening victory, they uploaded images
and footage of drive-by-shootings, large-scale death marches, and
mass graves (following the mass
executions of Iraqi soldiers).

“ISIS
militants claimed massive quantities of American
military equipment, including
entire truckloads of humvees, helicopters, tanks, and artillery as
their own. This was no secret to Washington, or even the world, as
the militants photographed and recorded themselves and publicly
flaunted their activity on social media.”

Was
there a good reason the American military sat on its hands despite
knowing full well that this was going on? As Anti-Media explained
further:

“What
did the U.S. do in response? Nothing. In spite of all the American
bases in Iraq and
the government’s ability to perform all manner of illicit activity
— including assassinating Muammar Gaddafi in Libya using a drone
that was flown out of Sicily by a pilot who operated the vehicle from
a naval base in Nevada‚
the
U.S. couldn’t do anything to stop ISIS rapid advancements. Was
there a problem preventing the U.S. military from conducting air
strikes? Clearly not, as the U.S. had been launching drone strikes in
Pakistan at around
the same time ISIS
advanced.”

The
U.S. allowed ISIS to gain this significant portion of territory
before moving into Iraq with an air war that was designed to
pave the way for a segued operation into Syrian territory. The U.S.
couldn’t justify an intervention into Syria without going into Iraq
first, and this was quite
clearly the underlying intention of
this operation the whole time, as evidenced by the
U.S.’ obsession with
the Syrian conflict throughout both
the Obama and Trump administrations.

Since
the U.S. moved back into Iraq in 2014, the U.S. has dropped 84,000
bombs in Iraq and Syria up until the end of May 2017.
As Counterpunch explains,
this is nearly three times the number of bombs and missiles dropped
on Iraq during  George W. Bush’s “Shock and Awe” campaign
in 2003.

Monitoring
group Airwars’ currently estimates that the minimum number of
civilians killed by the U.S.-led coalition’s campaign in Iraq and
Syria has reached roughly 4,354
since the operation began in 2014. The number is likely higher, but
we will never know the exact total because up until a month ago, the
U.S. only had
two personnel investigating
casualties in Iraq and Syria full time.

Under
President Trump, the number of bombs being dropped increased rapidly
after Trump gave complete
control to
the military generals on the ground to call in airstrikes with little
oversight. One such air raid in Mosul saw
close to
300 civilians die, and the fact that the strike had been called in by
Iraqi forces on the ground demonstrates the immense amount of scope
that Trump has delegated to call in airstrikes with little regard to
international law and the principle of proportionality.

The
battle for Mosul also drew in
Iran-backed Shia militias, who have been known to terrorize Iraq’s
Sunni population (including torturing
civilians).
No one doubts that ISIS is a brutal and abhorrent group, but the
people who are supposedly “liberating” the local population —
whether it’s the U.S. military, the Iraqi armed forces, or the
various militia on the ground — appear to be no better.

Now
that these Iran-backed militias have firmly planted themselves in
Iraq, the U.S. is left with an ultimate dilemma of how to kick
them out and
counter Iran’s expanding influence. In all seriousness, the battle
for Mosul is only paving the way for further occupation and laying
the groundwork for America to pursue its regional ambitions in its
never-ending quest to confront Iran.

According to
the U.N., more than 742,000 Iraqis have fled the battle in Mosul,
with approximately 10,000 new civilians fleeing every day. For a
country that hates
refugees,
the U.S. certainly plays a significant role in creating an endless
supply of them.

And
for those civilians still trapped in the city, their lives will never
be the same. As Airwars explains:

“According
to city officials, as
much as 80 per cent of West Mosul has been completely destroyed.
Civilians still emerging from the battlefield are often bloodied and
starving – traumatised by Iraqi and Coalition bombardments; and by
atrocities commited [sic] by ISIS.

“According
to reporters accompanying Iraqi forces, the stench of death is
everywhere in the Old City – with civil defence officials reporting
that as many as 4,000
bodies still remain unrecovered in
the rubble. It is likely to be many months before the full death toll
is known.”

That
is quite the liberation. Even if Mosul really has been “liberated”
by the U.S.-backed coalition, no one seems to be talking about the
fact that ISIS was only able to conquer strategic areas like Mosul
under the safety of the Obama administration’s policies. Leaked
audio of
former Secretary of State John Kerry when he was a senator confirmed
the U.S. was watching ISIS grow, and in turn, the hoped this would
bring Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the negotiating table (you
can listen to the full audio here).

You
can’t target a group as an enemy in one location and view it as a
useful proxy army in another. Indeed, ISIS was always a useful proxy
force for the anti-Assad coalition, as Kerry admitted.

Essentially,
the U.S. allowed ISIS to gain control of large swaths of Iraq and
Syria so they could justify interventions in these war-ravaged
nations.

As
far as the people of Iraq are concerned, there is only one
winner here:
the military-industrial complex, which secured massive
years-long contracts to
make, supply, and drop over 84,000 bombs on a territory that never
should have been in the hands of ISIS in the first place.

Bernard Hammelburg (BNR): Assad is een monster waar we mee moeten samenwerken………

BNR’s oliebol Bernard Hammelburg maakt sinds enige tijd op de volgende manier reclame voor zijn programma ‘De Wereld’: ‘Om de ingewikkelde wereldpolitiek te kunnen volgen, heb je een soort GPS nodig, dat kompas is BNR De Wereld….‘ ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Een zwaar disfunctionerend kompas wel te verstaan, daar gaf kompas Hammelburg vanmorgen nog eens een voorbeeld van. Met een herhaling van een keer of tien noemde Hammelburg het zééééér interessante woord ‘realpolitik’. Zo is realpolitik nodig voor samenwerking met het monster Assad (en de Russen) om tot een eind aan de oorlog in Syrië te komen, aldus de levend geworden rollade Hammelburg.

Kompas Hammelburg stelde voorts dat de VS niet goed weet welke ‘verzetsgroepjes’* het moet steunen en daarom steunt de VS volgens Hammelburg in feite voornamelijk alleen de Koerden in Syrië…….. Kijk alweer een misser van ‘het kompas’, immers de VS steunt meerdere terreurgroepen (het echte woord voor die schoften) in Syrië, terreurgroepen die buiten de Koerden en IS, gelieerd zijn aan Al Qaida…… Een maand of anderhalf geleden verklaarde de VS zelfs dat Al Qaida Syrië van de internationale terreurlijst is gehaald, m.a.w. de VS kan die terreurgroepen nu helemaal volproppen met wapens en munitie (plus militaire training…)……..

Kompas Hammelburg stelde voorts dat Assad een paar maanden geleden inderdaad gifgas heeft gebruikt tegen de Syrische bevolking in Khan Sheikhoun……. Deskundigen hebben uit en te na gesteld, dat er gezien de omgang met de slachtoffers geen sprake kan zijn geweest van het gebruik van Sarin gas en dat aan de hand van getuigenverklaringen geconcludeerd kan worden, dat een opslag met o.a. chloorgas werd getroffen bij een bombardement op een opslagplaats en kantoor van Al Qaida (o.a. ook al-Nusra genoemd)…….. Vreemd genoeg besteedden de internationale massamedia geen aandacht aan het feit, dat Al Qaida grondstoffen voor het maken van gifgas en zelfs gifgas bezat op die plek………..

Hammelburg is zelfs nog steeds overtuigd van het ‘feit’ dat Syrië in 2013 ook een grootschalige gifgas aanval heeft ingezet tegen het Syrische volk, terwijl deze grove leugen al lang is doorgeprikt, ook toen gebruikten de ‘gematigde rebellen’ gifgas en niet het Syrische leger……

Assad een monster? Vreemd dat in 2014 een grote meerderheid van het Syrische volk hem dan tot president koos, in door internationale waarnemers goedgekeurde verkiezingen…… Assad is zo’n groot monster, dat mensen die voor het geweld van de ‘gematigde’ terreurgroepen zijn gevlucht, massaal terugkeren naar huis, of de plek waar dat huis stond, zolang deze zijn veiliggesteld door het reguliere Syrische leger………

De VS was al vanaf 2006 bezig met het opzetten van een opstand in Syrië, daar Assad pijpleidingen over zijn grond weigerde…… In 2011 transporteerde o.a. de VS grote aantallen terroristen, waaronder zelfs IS leden van Libië naar Syrië, dit om te strijden tegen Assad…….. Kortom als er één monster is als het gaat om Syrië (en het Midden-Oosten), is het de VS wel!

Als u een kompas nodig heeft kan u die beter in de winkel aanschaffen, kompas Hammelburg is al jaren kaduuk!!! Hammelburg is een simpele lobbyist en propagandist voor het uiterst agressieve optreden van de VS (en haar waakhond de NAVO) in landen waar het niets te zoeken heeft, agressie die maar met een woord kan worden gekenschetst: grootschalige terreur!! Bovendien kan je stellen dat Hammelburg een lobbyist is voor het militair-industrieel complex, dat belang heeft bij zoveel mogelijk oorlogsvoering op onze kleine aarde……. Kortom Hammelburg is een vuile schoft!

* ‘Verzetsgroep’, een nieuw eufemisme voor psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters, die eerder werden aangeduid als ‘gematigde rebellen…’

I
actually forced myself to watch the documentary The
White Helmets, which is available on Netflix. It is 40
minutes long, is of high quality cinematographically speaking, and
tells a very convincing tale that was promoted
as “the story of real-life heroes and impossible
hope.”

It
is overall a very impressive piece of propaganda, so much so that it
has won numerous awards including the Oscar for Best Documentary
Short this year and the White Helmets themselves were nominated for
the Nobel Peace Prize. More to the point, however, is the undeniable
fact that the documentary has helped shape the public understanding
of what is going on in Syria, delivering a Manichean tale that
depicts the “rebels” as always good and Bashar al-Assad and his
government as un-redeemably evil.

It
has been reliably
reported that celebrities like George Clooney, Justin
Timberlake and Hillary Clinton really like the White Helmets
documentary and have promoted it with the understanding that it
represents the truth about Syria, but it is, of course, not the whole
story.

The
film, which was made by the White Helmets themselves without any
external verification of what it depicts, portrays the group as
“heroic,” an “impartial, life-saving rescue organization” of
first responders. Excluded from the scenes of heroism under fire is
the White Helmets’ relationship with the al-Qaeda affiliated group
Jabhat al-Nusra and its participation in the torture and execution of
“rebel” opponents. Indeed, the White Helmets only operate in
rebel held territory, which enables them to shape the narrative both
regarding who they are and what is occurring on the ground.

Because
of increasing awareness of the back story, there is now a growing
movement to petition the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
to revoke the Oscar based on the complete and deliberate
misrepresentation of what the White Helmets are all about.

De VS oorlog in Somalië en wat u niet hoort in de reguliere (nep-) media………

Volgens Reuters heeft de VS afgelopen zondag een luchtaanval uitgevoerd op al-Shabaab in Somalië. Regeringswoordvoerders van de VS gingen niet specifiek in op wat voor soort aanval het ging, een aanval met drones, of een ‘normaal luchtbombardement’.

Zoals gewoonlijk berichtten de reguliere media over deze zaak*, zonder ook maar te hebben gevraagd naar het waarom en hoe (zoals gezegd). (en vaak zonder te vragen naar het aantal onverdachte slachtoffers, onverdacht daar de VS zich het recht voorbehoudt mensen die zij verdenken, met drones standrechtelijk, dus zonder enige rechtspraak, te vermoorden)

Vreemd genoeg is de invloed van al-Shabaab in Somalië bijna tot nul gereduceerd, ook heeft deze islamitische terreurgroep nooit enig westers doel aangevallen…….

Reuters sprak over al-Shabaab als zijnde gelinkt aan Al Qaida. Als zodanig zou al-Shabaab een doelwit zijn van de VS, dit vanwege de aanslagen van 911 in 2001. Echter in 2001 bestond al-Shabaab niet eens!!

Vreemd genoeg, volgens een artikel van Shahtahmasebi op Anti-Media, zijn alle terreurgroepen in Syrië geen doel van de VS, hoewel ze allen zijn gelinkt aan Al Qaida, behalve één dan: IS………

De VS verdedigt haar terroristische aanslagen (middels drones, luchtbombardementen en/of terreur via troepen op de grond) altijd met het argument, dat men deze uitvoert vanwege zelfverdediging, echter de VS troepen lopen alleen gevaar als ze weer eens illegaal een land binnenvallen (= extreme terreur!), waar ze niets te zoeken hebben, dan wel militair foute regimes steunen.

Saoedi-Arabië heeft de corrupte Somalische regering omgekocht en voor 50 miljoen dollar heeft deze regering de banden met Iran verbroken en assisteert S-A bij haar genocide op de sjiitische bevolking in Jemen……. Ook de VS biedt S-A hulp bij deze genocide, met drone aanvallen (die het ook al vanaf Obama op Somalië uitvoert), raketbeschietingen, bombardementen en geheime militaire acties op de grond…….

Shahtahmasebi maakt één kapitale fout in zijn artikel, volgens hem is Somalië een tussenstation voor wapenleveranties uit Iran voor de (sjiitische) Houthi rebellen. Ten eerste is dat in tegenspraak met zijn eerder genoemde deal tussen S-A en de Somalische regering en ten tweede zijn er nooit bewijzen geleverd voor deze wapenleveranties, al houden de westerse afhankelijke massamedia en het merendeel van de westerse politici vol dat dit wel zo is………

Somalië is strategisch uiterst belangrijk gelegen, één van de hoofdoorzaken voor het geweld van de VS en haar terreurpartner S-A…… Hetzelfde geldt overigens voor Jemen.

You Aren’t Being Told About The US’ War in Somalia

(ANTIMEDIA) — On
Sunday, the U.S. military carried out an airstrike in Somalia against al-Qaeda-linked terror group al-Shabaab, U.S. officials said on
Monday, as reported by Reuters.

Officials
did not specify whether it was a drone strike, and the Pentagon has
not disclosed any additional information about the strike. The U.S.
has been drone-striking Somalia
for some time now, a policy Barack Obama escalated.

As
is usually the case, the media reports these
developments without questioning the underlying narrative, and
millions of ordinary Americans go about their day without so much as
batting an eyelid. Just another day in Africa, right?

However,
even Reuters acknowledged
that al-Shabaab has been pushed out of Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital
city, and has lost control of most of the country’s cities and
towns. Further, according to
the Guardian, al-Shabaab
has never been implicated in any plots to strike the U.S. or Europe.

So
why is this group a concern for the United States? Is it simply
because they are aligned with al-Qaeda?

Consider
this passage from
the Intercept’s Glenn
Greenwald from March of last year:

“Since
2001, the U.S. government has legally justified
its we-bomb-wherever-we-want approach
by pointing to the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force
(AUMF), enacted by Congress in the wake of 9/11 to authorize the
targeting of al Qaeda and ‘affiliated’ forces. But al Shabaab did
not exist in 2001 and had nothing to do with 9/11. Indeed, the group
has not tried to attack the U.S. but instead, as the New
York Times’ Charlie
Savage noted in
2011, ‘is focused on a parochial insurgency in Somalia.’ As a
result, reported Savage, even ‘the [Obama] administration does not
consider the United States to be at war with every member of the
Shabaab.’”

While
we are on the topic, try conducting a Google search on any
of the rebel groups currently
being supported – and not targeted – by the United States and its
allies in Syria. Try to find one that isn’t aligned with al-Qaeda.
It’s almost impossible.
The only major group in Syria that is currently not backed by
al-Qaeda in some way, shape, or form is ISIS.

Somalia
was one of the seven countries four-star General Wesley
Clark identified years
ago as a target of American military intervention following the
September 11 attacks in 2001. It is also one of the countries that
made it onto Trump’s infamously revised
travel ban,
which is now being enforced courtesy of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Although
under Barack Obama the U.S. was waging
a covert war in
Somalia rife with drone strikes and Special Forces on the ground,
Donald Trump has ramped
up this operation alongside
a number of other conflicts, particularly in Iraq and Syria. Trump
has also approved the deployment of regular U.S. troops to Somalia
for the first time since 1994. One of these troops has already
been killed in
a clash with the terror group.

To
put it simply, these American troops are not just advising and
training local troops, they are also directly
involved in
combat missions. As these clashes intensify, expect more American
deaths to come, and expect further deployments.

Such
deployments will also likely lead increased air strikes because the
U.S. argues that such strikes are

needed
to defend their troops from Islamic militants. However, even the New
York Times, an
establishment media outlet, can see right
through this
circular reasoning:

“In
its public announcements, the Pentagon sometimes characterizes the
operations as ‘self-defense strikes,’ though some analysts have
said this rationale has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It
is only because American forces are now being deployed on the front
lines in Somalia that they face imminent threats from the
Shabab.” [emphasis
added]

To
recap, the United States essentially identified a group that poses no
threat to the United States or Europe and targeted it with drone
strikes over the course of Obama’s presidency. As we have seen
across the globe, drone strikes actually help turn small insurgent
groups into a very formidable forces due
to the instability these strikes create and the innocent lives they
take. In some instances, drone strikes targeting and eradicating a
group’s leaders can actually cause a more violent
person to
rise up and take control.

Did
America’s representatives of so-called democracy ever debate this
war in Somalia? What do ordinary Americans even know about Somalia or
al-Shabaab? Most Americans probably aren’t even aware that although
there is a central government of sorts, the country has been widely
regarded as a lawless, failed
state.
Can the average American point to Somalia on a map?

Indeed,
locating Somalia on a world map would aid the reader in understanding
the geostrategic importance of such a country. As Geopolitical
Futures has explained:

“Somalia’s
northern coast borders the Gulf of Aden, which leads to Bab
el-Mandeb, a narrow chokepoint through which all maritime traffic
from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean must pass. Avoiding
this strait would take all goods from the Persian Gulf – including
oil – around the entire African continent to reach European and
American markets. It is also a valuable staging ground for navies to
project power on to the Arabian Peninsula.”

Somalia
is so important that Saudi Arabia offered $50
million to its government to break ties with Iran. Not surprisingly,
Somalia is now one of the countries assisting Saudi
Arabia in its invasion of Yemen, the poorest country in the Arab
world.

That
being said, Somalia is allegedly a transit point in a
supposed weapons route from
Iran to Yemen that supplies the Yemeni opposition with weaponry to
combat Saudi-led forces in the war-torn country. If the U.S.-backed
Saudi-led coalition is unsuccessful in crushing the Yemeni
resistance, and if a government is established in Yemen that aligns
itself with Tehran, the U.S. could slowly begin to lose strategic
maritime position and influence in this vital region.

In
this context, Somalia’s proximity to Yemen means the North African
nation is one of those strategic maritime areas the U.S. cannot
afford to lose.

Somalia
is also reportedly sitting on substantial
unexploited reserves
of oil, as well as about 25
percent of the world’s known uranium reserves.

Somalia’s
recently elected president, who was chosen in an election paid for
by the U.S. and the E.U., is supportive of
American military assistance even though his people are, in most
cases, banned from visiting the United States.

Further,
as Truthout observes,
Somalia is just one of many African locations in which the U.S.
military has asserted itself:

“The
US Africa Command oversees a vast array of ‘outposts’ —
categorized in Pentagon-speak as ‘consisting of two forward
operating sites [including the one official base in Djibouti], 13
cooperative security locations, and 31 contingency locations.’
 Secret documents in 2015 listed thirty-six outposts ‘scattered
across 24 African countries.  These include low-profile
locations — from Kenya to South Sudan to a shadowy Libyan airfield
— that have never previously been mentioned in published reports.
 Today, according to an AFRICOM spokesperson, the number of
these sites has actually swelled to 46, including ’15 enduring
locations.’’”

The
problem with this region, from the perspective of America’s
warmongering class, is the underlying power struggle between the
United States and China. China is investing heavily in Africa and has
also signaled its intention to build
military bases in
Africa’s strategic areas. In turn, the U.S. needs to assert itself
as much as possible to counter the rise of the Chinese presence in
Africa. China has invested over
$200 billion in Africa to date, and Somalia regards China
as a “vital ally.”

In
another example, China is already using large investments
to squeeze the
U.S. out of Pakistan, a former U.S. client state. While there is much
to be made of China’s intentions and its actions, there is a
noticeable difference in that currently, China opts for alternative
ways of spreading its influence — as opposed to relentlessly
bombing nations into submission.

To
some countries, China might be a breath of fresh air in comparison to
its American counterpart.

Syriërs keren terug naar door ‘vreselijke dictator’ Assad gecontroleerd gebied………

In de reguliere westerse (massa-) media wordt continu gelogen over Syrië en wat men in die media ‘dictator Assad’ noemt. Assad die NB in 2014 met een grote meerderheid van stemmen werd gekozen tot president, dit in verkiezingen die door internationale waarnemers als eerlijke verlopend werden bestempeld!!

Anti-Media bracht gisteren een artikel van MintPress News, waarin wordt gemeld, dat bijna 500.000 gevluchte Syriërs terugkeren naar door het bewind van Assad gecontroleerde gebieden. Me dunkt ‘het teken, dat ze Assad een smerige, bloederige dictator vinden……’

Andrej Mahecic, woordvoerder van de hoge commissaris voor vluchtelingen bij de VN (UNHCR), heeft bekend gemaakt, dat sinds het begin van dit jaar 440.000 Syrische vluchtelingen, die in Syrië zijn gebleven, terug zijn gekeerd naar hun woonplaats in door reguliere Syrische troepen gecontroleerd gebied. Daarnaast zijn er in dezelfde tijd 31.000 Syrische vluchtelingen die naar het buitenland waren gevlucht, teruggekeerd naar alweer door het Syrische leger gecontroleerd gebied. Voorts zijn er sinds 2015 vanuit het buitenland 260.000 vluchtelingen teruggekeerd naar (nogmaals) door het Syrische leger gecontroleerd gebied…..

De westerse praatjes, dat het merendeel van de Syriërs zijn gevlucht voor het wrede regime van  Assad, is een smerige leugen in de propagandaoorlog die de westerse massamedia en het merendeel van de westerser politici, onder aanvoering van NB de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS, voeren tegen de regering Assad, Rusland en Iran……….

Vergeet niet dat het (ongedeelde) Syrië onder Assad, van voor de door de VS en anderen geregisseerde en gefinancierde opstand van 2011, een land was waar een groot aantal geloven, zonder enige probleem ‘onder hetzelfde dak leefden…..’ Iets dat in de door Assad gecontroleerde gebieden nog steeds zo is!!

Het agressieve westen moet zich als de donder terugtrekken uit Syrië, voordat het land opgedeeld kan worden, een opdeling die de wens is van: de VS, Saoedi-Arabië (na de VS de nr. 2 terreurstaat), Israël (na de VS en S-A de nr. 3 terreurstaat), Egypte en de Golfstaten (zonder Qatar). Als dit niet gebeurd is er niet alleen de kans op een internationaal conflict van enorm formaat, maar zal Syrië de zoveelste ‘failed state made in USA’ zijn……..

(Analysis) –  Crucial
to the Western narrative of the Syrian conflict is the assertion that
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is a brutal
dictator who
has taken to killing
his own people over
the course of Syria’s six-year-long conflict. This allegation has
been the crux of the “humanitarian” justification for foreign
military intervention in Syria that would seek to depose Assad’s
government, a justification frequently used by the U.S. and its
allies prior to an invasion or the toppling of an extant regime.

While
this narrative has been pervasive in media coverage of the Syrian
conflict, it is now being debunked by the very Syrian refugees that
the media purported were fleeing Assad in the first place.

According
to a
recent statement from
Andrej Mahecic, a spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for
Refugees, an estimated 440,000 displaced Syrians who remained in the
country have returned to their homes since the year began. In
addition, 31,000 refugees in neighboring countries also returned to
Syria in the first half of the year, with 260,000 having returned to
Syria from other nations since 2015.

Syria war: Almost 500,000 refugees return in 2017 – UN – BBC News

The UN calls this a “notable trend”, but warns conditions for a safe return “are not yet in place”.

Though Mahecic noted that these refugees represent only a “fraction” of the five million Syrian refugees living in neighboring countries, what is notable is that nearly all of those who have decided to come back are settling in areas of Syria controlled by the government or where the Syrian government has made major territorial gains against ISIS and US-backed militants like al-Nusra Front in recent months – namely Aleppo, Hama, Homs and Damascus.


       Even
with the conflict in Syria still raging, thousands of the displaced
are eagerly returning to their homes under the control of the Syrian
government. This may seem strange, as the U.S. media has
long suggested that most
refugees were fleeing Assad, not foreign-backed terrorists like Daesh
(ISIS) and Al-Nusra. 

Of
course, this assertion was based on “polls” of refugees conducted
by the Syria Campaign, a
USAID-funded organization that
has long pushed for U.S. military intervention in Syria.

This
begs the question: why would refugees choose to return to territory
controlled by the person they supposedly sought to flee, as the
mainstream media portrays?

These
latest figures from the UN suggest that many refugees were not
fleeing their government, but rather the violence caused by a
foreign-funded insurgency intended to topple the popular Assad
government. As Middle
East Eye noted in
2015, prior to the outbreak of the conflict, Assad was widely
popular, though his popularity allegedly evaporated as the 2011
Saudi- and U.S.-funded uprising began.

Did
Assad’s popularity with the Syrian people ever really go away?
Western media reports containing interviews with the handful of
Syrians who support Assad as dictator claim it is so. But the
evidence has long suggested that the majority of Syrians have
continued to approve of their president throughout the conflict.

Indeed,
there is plenty of evidence that the “popular uprisings” against
the Assad government in 2011 were
staged on
behalf of foreign mercenaries largely backed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar
and Turkey – governments that have long sought to remove Assad from
power. Assad’s popularity prior to the outbreak of violence likely
remained unchanged after the fact.

Polling
within Syria has consistently shown this to be true. Even polls
funded by anti-Assad nations like Qatar have
also found that
the majority of Syrians continue to overwhelmingly support Assad.
Indeed, when elections were last held in 2014, the Western media
could not hide the large crowds that came to vote, as the
population re-elected
Assad,
who won with 88 percent of the vote. By contrast, voter
turnout was 55.7 percent in
the last U.S. Presidential election, suggesting that Assad has a
stronger democratic mandate than U.S. President Donald Trump.

Six
years into the conflict, video footage, and photographs clearly show
that Assad and his wife regularly walk
among the Syrian people in
Damascus with little to no security detail. The Assads even
drive their own cars –
without security – through the countryside.

This
seems like a difficult feat for a “hated” and “feared”
dictator to perform on a regular basis. By contrast, some Western
leaders can
hardly spend a few minutes among
their constituents – even with a massive security detail in tow –
without being sped away for their own protection.

Even
U.S. politicians who have traveled to Syria have come back
acknowledging Assad’s popularity. For instance, Virginia State
Senator Richard Black has cited internal reports from U.S.
intelligence which state that, were an election in Syria to be held
today, Assad would
likely be reelected with
90 percent of the vote, including in areas occupied by terrorists.

Qatar: Turkije op oorlogspad tegen Saoedische dreiging…. De dreiging van een groot internationaal conflict……

Vanavond verloopt de deadline, die de reli-fascistische terreurstaat Saoedi-Arabië heeft opgelegd aan Qatar.. Een paar van de eisen, Al Jazeera moet ‘uit de lucht gehaald worden’, de Turkse militaire basis in Qatar moet gesloten worden en de banden met Iran moeten min of meer verbroken worden……

De meest belachelijke eis is wel, dat Qatar de banden met terreurgroepen moet verbreken…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Als er één land is, dat terreur ondersteunt, is het Saoedi-Arabië wel. Zo bevoorraden de Saoediërs Al Qaida, IS en een aantal kleinere terreurgroepen  in Syrië met wapens en wapensystemen (zoals ‘schouderraketten’ made in the USA) Ook de financiën van de wat kleinere terreurgroepen en Al Qaida in Syrië (al-Nusra) worden door S-A beheerd………

Deze dreiging en m.n. die t.a.v. de Turkse basis in Qatar, is Turkije (en daarmee de psychopathische leider Erdogan) in het verkeerde keelgat geschoten zijn…. Volgens Anti-Media is Turkije druk doende troepen over te brengen naar Qatar……..

Dat deze spanning zo oploopt is aan het beest Trump en de rest van de westerse VS hielenlikkers te danken, hielenlikkers die te beroerd zijn om Saoedi-Arabië eindelijk eens de les te lezen, bijvoorbeeld als het gaat om de genocide die dit land momenteel uitvoert tegen de sjiieten in buurland Jemen…..

Waar is PvdA zwatelaar Koenders met commentaar op de Saoedische dreiging jegens Qatar?? Ach, het is als met de Saoedische genocide op de Jemenitische sjiieten: de jaknikkende hufter Koenders maakt er geen woord aan vuil, de poen gaat nu eenmaal ver voor op een futiliteit als genocide………

Mochten Saoedi-Arabië en haar arabisch, soennitische bondgenoten Qatar binnenvallen, wordt kruitvat Midden-Oosten nog verder op spanning gebracht, een spanning die nu in feite al zo groot is dat een internationaal conflict al bijna niet meer te vermijden is (zeker gezien de oorlogsmisdaden van de VS tegen het legitieme Syrische bewind..)… Een internationaal conflict met aan één kant terreurentiteiten VS, Saoedi-Arabië (en haar bondgenoten), Israël en de westerse hielenlikkers van de VS en aan de andere kant Rusland, Syrië, Iran en hoogstwaarschijnlijk China…….

De vraag is of Turkije zich dan zal aansluiten bij de laatst genoemde landen, dus Rusland en Iran (plus Syrië*), of bij de VS en haar (terreur) bondgenoten, dan wel zich neutraal zal opstellen… Mocht Turkije zich aansluiten bij Rusland en Iran, is het bijna onvermijdelijk dat Turkije zich uit de NAVO zal terugtrekken….. Gezien het overbrengen van Turkse troepen naar Qatar, is de kans groot dat Turkije zich inderdaad zal aansluiten bij Rusland en Iran (en Syrië)

Turkish Troops Arrive in Qatar as Gulf Tensions Continue to Escalate

(ANTIWAR.COM) — When
Turkish troops were deployed to a military base in Qatar, it was huge
news across the region, primarily because it was a show of support by
the Erdogan government for the emirate at a time when many of Qatar’s
neighbors are blocking them.

The
number of troops sent last week was not publicly reported, and that’s
because it was not a lot, with the latest Turkish media
report suggesting
that 23 soldiers were sent back then, and the new deployments
announced today brought the number to “at least 88.”

Turkish
media suggested this number could rapidly grow, reaching 1,000 as
Turkey looks to back its regional ally, and as Saudi Arabia and
others demand Qatar expel the Turks outright. The
deadline for that demand, and many others, is Sunday night, and
Turkey’s deployment likely underscores that they don’t intend to
leave.

Meanwhile,
Qatari Defense Minister Khalid al-Attiyah visited
the Turkish capital of Ankara today to meet his counterpart,and
discuss joint exercises to
be carried out in the future, along with the possibility of
accelerating deployments.

De VS dat volkomen illegaal opereert in Syrië, zeg maar zoals we dat gewend zijn van deze terreurentiteit, blijft het reguliere Syrische leger en haar coalitiepartners aanvallen, de Syrische coalitie die volkomen terecht vechten tegen terreurgroepen als IS en Al Qaida……..

De VS heeft Al Qaida in Syrië van de terreurlijst gehaald, daar deze terreurgroep als één van de belangrijkste strijders tegen het democratische bewind Assad wordt gezien door de vereniging van terreurstaten, die de VS in feite is.

Lavrov, de Russische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, heeft zijn VS collega, opperschoft Tillerson voor de zoveelste keer gewaarschuwd te stoppen met aanvallen op de Syrische coalitie. Lavrov beschuldigt de VS verder van het laten vluchten van IS strijders uit Raqqa. Een beschuldiging die hoogstwaarschijnlijk waar is, zo liet de VS en haar Iraakse coalitie een groot aantal IS strijders uit het Iraakse Mosul vertrekken in de richting van het Syrische Aleppo en Raqqa, voordat het begon met haar aanval op Mosul…… Een vrijgeleide dat deels zelfs werd gefaciliteerd door de VS en haar partners (in terreur)……….

Overigens hebben de VS en Saoedi-Arabië (en Israël) IS meermaals geholpen met wapens, munitie en militaire ‘hardware’, waar Israël terroristen uit Syrië (ook van IS) op de Golanhoogten medische hulp biedt, zodat dit geteisem daarna weer aan de strijd tegen de democratisch gekozen regering Assad kan deelnemen…………….

In het westen melden de reguliere (massa-) media, dat Rusland de door de VS aangewezen gebieden erkent, waar niet mag worden gevochten of gebombardeerd, dat is een grove leugen, die wordt gevoed vanuit het Pentagon………

Volkomen terecht stelt Rusland, dat de VS niets te zoeken heeft in Syrië, terwijl alweer de reguliere media en politiek in het westen, daar zelfs geen vraagteken bij zetten en het als volkomen normaal zien, dat de VS grootschalige terreur uitoefent in gebieden, waar het niets te zoeken heeft……. Dat daarmee terreur in o.a. Europa wordt gecreëerd, wordt door diezelfde media en politici afgedaan als nepnieuws………. Behalve dan op het moment waarop Iran vorige week werd getroffen door aanslagen, toen rolde men over elkaar om aan te geven dat Trump wel erg grof was, maar eigenlijk wel gelijk had, met zijn meer dan onbeschofte eigen schuld dikke bult verhaal aan het adres van Iran ……..

Hoor zojuist in het BBC World Service nieuws (van 13.30 u. CET), dat Human Rights Watch, IS beschuldigt van het gebruik van witte fosfor…….. De wereld op z’n kop, juist de VS en haar partners gebruiken witte fosfor tegen ‘IS posities’ in Mosul en Raqqa*, u had het al begrepen: waar hoofdzakelijk burgers het slachtoffer zijn van dit vreselijke chemische wapen………. Zo wordt u dag in dag uit voorgelogen door de reguliere media en politici die lobbyen voor het militair-industrieel complex en de NAVO……..

Zoals al vaker op deze plek gesteld: we mogen blij zijn met Putin in Rusland. Als daar figuren als Obama of Trump op de plek van Putin hadden gezeten, waren we nu al verwikkeld geweest in WOIII…….

(ANTIMEDIA) — According to Reuters,
Russia has warned the U.S. not to attack Syrian-aligned troops again
in the war-torn country. Reuters reports
that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov relayed the message to
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in a phone call on Saturday  —
a phone call the U.S. reportedly initiated.

“Lavrov
expressed his categorical disagreement with the U.S. strikes on
pro-government forces and called on him to take concrete measures to
prevent similar incidents in future,” the
Russian Foreign Ministry said, as reported by Reuters.The
U.S. has struck pro-Syrian troops numerous
times in
recent weeks and just recently shot down a
Syrian drone — blatant acts of war against a sovereign nation. A
Russian general also claimed that
the U.S. may even be colluding with ISIS, allowing them safe passage
to leave Raqqa as the U.S. military besieges the Syrian city.

The
predicament puts the U.S. in an increasingly precarious and
contradictory position. As noted by Antiwar,
Russia has explicitly stated it does not recognize America’s
self-proclaimed deconfliction zones (zones where the U.S. believes
only their military should
be able to operate),
especially as the Western power does not have the approval of the
Syrian government. Antiwar also noted that
the U.S. originally did not want to recognize Russia’s proposal for
safe zones. Despite opposing
the idea initially,
the U.S. has used it as an excuse to strike Syrian government troops
operating within their own country.

As Anti-Media has
explained countless
times,
the U.S. has no legal justification to be bombing the Syrian
government and its associated forces within Syria’s territory. It
certainly cannot claim the right to self-defense inside another
country — one the United States willingly invaded without
authorization.

Russia
is actually operating within the dimensions of the so-called
international legal framework, and the U.S. is thousands of miles
outside of it. If anyone doubts this claim, just re-read this report
but switch every mention of the U.S. to Iran or North Korea and see
how it reads.

International
law is supposed to apply to all countries that are parties to the
U.N., not a select few adversaries and non-compliant states.

VS schroeft aantal troepen in Syrië sterk op, doel: Assad en sjiitische milities………..

Ontving vanmiddag een bericht van Anti-Media’s afdeling ANTIWAR. Hierin het bericht dat de VS haar troepensterkte fiks aan het vergroten is. Doel zijn de sjiitische milities die oprukken richting Iraakse grens. Tussen die grens bevindt zich een gebied, met door de VS gesteunde soennitische ‘gematigde rebellen’ (ofwel: psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters…), ‘vandaar’ dat de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS, deze milities en het reguliere Syrische leger bombarderen en op de grond aanvallen………

Enige tijd terug heeft Trump de legerleiding het mandaat gegeven over de inzet van militairen, m.a.w. de legerleiding mag zonder tussenkomst van de volksvertegenwoordiging en de president, extra troepen inzetten…………

De VS wil af van Assad, dat is intussen wel duidelijk, Al Qaida Syrië, ofwel al-Nusra werd een paar dagen geleden van de VS zwarte terreurlijst gehaald, dit daar deze terreurgroep tegen Assad vecht. Het grote verschil met eerder is, dat de VS nu openlijk toegeeft i.p.v. IS, de sjiitische milities te bestrijden en daarmee Assad, daar deze milities voor Assad vechten (milities met louter Syrische onderdanen en een kleine groep Iraanse militairen)…..

Uiteindelijk is het doel Iran: een aanval op dat land is volgens velen aanstaande, waarschijnlijk met behulp van Israël, dat op haar beurt voorbereidingen treft om Libanon binnen te vallen…….. Israël is na de VS en Saoedi-Arabië, de derde terreurstaat op wereldschaal……..

De vraag is nu hoe Rusland zal reageren, de VS is totaal illegaal op Syrische bodem, Rusland werd gevraagd door het democratisch gekozen regime Assad. Tot nu toe heeft Rusland de agressie van de VS niet beantwoord…… Nogmaals: voor hoelang nog???

Fijn overigens, dat de reguliere ‘onafhankelijke’ media in het westen ‘bol staan van deze zaak……’ Niet dus…….. Nee, we lullen de dag vol over Trump en zijn terugtrekking uit het klimaatakkoord van Parijs….. (zie m’n van voor dit bericht)

US
Hikes ‘Combat Power’ in Southern Syria

(ANTIWAR.COM) Pentagon
officials are reporting
that they are hiking the US military “footpriint” as well as
“combat power” in southern Syria in
recent days, sending more troops into the area with a specific eye
toward fighting against the Shi’ite militias that are trying to
advance, hoping to connect Syrian government territory to the Iraqi
border.

Shi’ite
militias who had been involved in the Mosul invasion in Iraq have
been making for the Syrian border, looking to help the Shi’ite
militias inside Syria with fighting ISIS. The problem is that
US-backed rebels are smack in the middle of these two sides, and the
US has even targeted the militias inside syria to some extent to keep
them away from the border region, accusing them of “threatening”
the rebel territory.

At
this point, US military spokesmen are now insisting that they are
specifically scaling up their military presence in Syria just to deal
with the “threat” posed by pro-government forces inside Syria.
Though the US has been hostile toward Syria and sought regime change
as a matter of policy, this suggests the Pentagon is moving directly
toward a military confrontation.

That
would be a huge shift, particularly as President Trump panned the
suggestion throughout the 2016 campaign, warning that efforts to
remove Assad from power militarily risks open war with Russia. For
some reason, that concern appears to have been scrapped by the
administration, with the US both determined to impose regime change
in Syria, and unconcerned by the obvious consequences.

VN ontwaakt en waarschuwt voor burgerdoden in West-Mosul……..

Het BBC World Service radionieuws van afgelopen zondagmiddag 12.00 u. (CET) meldde dat de VN waarschuwt voor een grote hoeveelheid burgerslachtoffers die zullen vallen bij de bevrijding van West-Mosul, waar IS zich heeft verschanst………. Waarschijnlijk is men bij de VN wakker geworden uit een ‘comateuze slaap’ van lunches, diners en feesten……..

Het is bij dit onderwerp niet gepast, anders zou je je daadwerkelijk doodlachen…… Al maanden lang moordt de Irak-coalitie (geleid door de VS, die ook de bombardementen vanuit de lucht uitvoert) de burgers van West-Mosul. Daar moet intussen een enorm aantal mensen bij om zijn  gekomen……

Lullig genoeg zijn journalisten als flapdrol Melissen, die embedded zijn bij de Irak-coalitie niet welkom in de stad en kunnen daarom niet berichten over het aantal doden dat nu vooral in de oude stad valt (dicht op elkaar staande huizen en andere gebouwen)……. Telkens weer verschijnen er berichten, meestal in alternatieve media, waarin wordt gemeld over dan weer 10, 20, 30 of meer dodelijke slachtoffers onder de burgerbevolking, dit vanwege de luchtbombardement van de VS, waar uiteraard veelal vrouwen en kinderen de vermoorde slachtoffers zijn…… ‘Logisch’ dat de VN deze zaken niet controleert en toegang eist tot het strijdgebied, zodat waarnemers ter plekke de verschrikkingen die de burgers meemaken als feiten kunnen verzamelen en aan de VN Veiligheidsraad kunnen voorleggen……..

Rusland en Syrië staakten een paar maanden voor de bevrijding van Aleppo (oktober 2015) de bombardementen op het oostelijk stadsdeel om zoveel mogelijk burgerslachtoffers te vermijden……. Ook toen hadden de reguliere westerse media geen journalisten in oostelijk Aleppo, wel werden toen de leugens van de Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) als zoete koek uitgevent aan het publiek, als was het de weg, de waarheid en het leven……. Dit terwijl de SOHR (één gevluchte Syrische misdadiger) berichten kreeg van de terreurgroepen die de overgebleven bevolking in Oost-Aleppo terroriseerde, o.a. middels de shariawetgeving en hen beschoten als zij via door de Russen en het Syrische leger ingestelde corridors probeerden te vluchten……..

Het ging destijds zover, dat men zelfs deze beschietingen op die corridors toe durfde te schrijven aan het Syrische leger, dat NB samen met de Russen de corridors had ingesteld….. Terwijl algemeen bekend was dat de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen (lees: psychopathische moordenaars en verkrachters) de bevolking hadden gewaarschuwd voor de straf op vluchten: standrechtelijke executie, ook van vrouwen en kinderen…… Waar de mensen met vluchtplannen werden gewaarschuwd dat achterblijvende familie bij een geslaagde poging zou worden geëxecuteerd……..

Ook de White Helmets deden aan deze terreur en leugencampagne mee…. Gelukkig is die organisatie eindelijk definitief door de mand gevallen als zijnde een verlengde van Al Qaida en zoals gezegd zelf oorlogsmisdaden begaat. ‘Uiteraard’ worden de White Helmets nog altijd geloofd door de westerse politici en reguliere media…..

Ook bij de bevrijding van Aleppo gebruikten de ‘gematigde’ terreurgroepen de burgers als menselijk schild (vandaar ook dat ze niet mochten vluchten), iets dat de VN gisteren liet weten over IS en de burgers in West-Mosul…… De VN raadt de overgebleven bewoners van West-Mosul aan te vluchten naar gebieden, die onder controle staan van de Irak-coalitie….. Dit terwijl dezelfde VN stelt dat burgers die proberen te vluchten, net als in Oost-Aleppo eerder, zonder pardon worden neergeschoten (inclusief mee vluchtende vrouwen en kinderen……)……. Alweer: ‘t is dat ‘t zo triest is……..

Behoorlijk smerig zoals de VN de Irak-coalitie noemde in de berichtgeving: ‘the security forces….’ Terwijl deze ‘veiligheidstroepen’ bij de bevrijding van andere steden in Irak enorme oorlogsmisdaden begingen op de burgerbevolking………..

Kortom de VN haalt de hete kolen uit het vuur van de Irak-coalitie en de VS, door de schuld voor de moord op een enorm aantal burgers alvast in de schoenen van IS te schuiven en het publiek voor te bereiden op een massamoord……… (al zal men er alles aan doen om dit niet uit te laten lekken…….)
