Het
Britse ministerie van binnenlandse zaken maakte onlangs de
hoeveelheid in GB witgewassen misdaadgeld bekend, ondanks dat men enorme
bedragen noemde, het zou om tientallen miljarden ponden gaan, besteedden de reguliere media hier geen tijd
aan…… Nee die Britse media zijn veel te druk met liegen over
Venezuela, Iran, China en Rusland….
Sinds
de deregulering van de financiële markten in het GB van de 80er jaren
van de 20ste eeuw, is GB verworden tot één van de grootste centra
ter wereld voor het witwassen van misdaadgeld…… Terwijl de belastingen voor grote
bedrijven sinds die tijd terugliepen van 55% naar nu 19%, waar de
huidige regering deze wil terugbrengen naar 17% (ondertussen leiden
er mensen honger in GB….*)…….
Overigens,
zoals al even aangestipt: landen waar veel belasting wordt ontdoken
door bedrijven, zijn veelal ook geliefd voor het witwassen van
(misdaad-) geld…… Tijd voor een fiks strafrechtelijk onderzoek in
Nederland, zeker gezien het witwasschandaal door ING en andere banken
(dit werpt meteen wat meer licht op de wil van het OM om een
schikking te treffen met de misdadige top van ING, i.p.v. het vervolgen van die top……)…..
In Nederland ontduiken welgestelden op jaarbasis nog altijd voor rond de 20 miljard euro aan belastingen, voor bedrijven ligt dit bedrag rond de 30 miljard euro (aan de hand van een schatting die een jaar of 8 geleden werd gedaan, ofwel het bedrag is nu waarschijnlijk veel hoger…. Ondanks dat feit bleven en blijven de opvolgende Rutte flutkabinetten Rutte bedrijven in de watten leggen, terwijl het volk blijvend moet bloeden…..)
Overigens
zou deze Britse zaak mee kunnen spelen in de overwegingen van de
Tories (de neoliberale partij van premier May) om achter de Brexit te staan, immers met de EU over de
schouder meekijkend wordt het uiteindelijk onhoudbaar je land als
belastingparadijs en al helemaal als witwasserij te laten fungeren…… Hoewel, dat zou zo moeten
zijn………. Eén ding is zeker als de Britten uit de EU gaan, kunnen ze
pas echt als belastingparadijs gaan fungeren! (nogmaals: terwijl een
groot aantal Britten honger lijdt…….)

The
media hardly noticed a shocking revelation about the ‘scale of
money laundering’ in the UK
The
Home Office made a startling admission regarding the amount of money
laundering in the UK recently. But the mainstream press appears to
have missed it.
On
29 January, minister Ben Wallace said that
the National Crime Agency (NCA):
estimates
that there is a realistic possibility that the scale of money
laundering impacting on the UK annually is at least in the tens of
billions of pounds.
The
UK has been amongst the biggest centres for money laundering since
the deregulation of the City of London in the 1980s. This is a
consequence of the largely unregulated financial sector and the
myriad enablers and facilitators of corruption and money laundering,
including the large audit firms, legal firms and consultants.
The
Canary asked
Feinstein about the
government’s “ambitious
new partnership to fight economic crime” called the National
Economic Crime Centre. The campaigner and former politician said:
I
have no faith in this government meaningfully tackling this problem
as these facilitators and enablers are amongst their biggest
political donors. Attempts to streamline legal enforcement on this
issue have been characterised by illogical decisions and appalling
implementation.
He
continued:
This
will be made worse by a post Brexit environment in which the
government envisages the UK becoming an even less regulated offshore
haven. There is simply no political will to address the issue, as a
consequence of which Britain will, if anything, become an even
greater enabler of global corruption and money laundering.

that many hundreds of billions of pounds of international criminal
money is laundered through UK banks, including their subsidiaries,
each year.
So
if anything, the Home Office may have vastly understated the amount
of illegal funds cleansed through the City of London. From “many
hundreds of billions” to ‘at least tens of billions’. Yet the
Conservative chancellor Philip Hammond recently
praised The
City for its contribution to the country:

In January 2013, a
European Parliament select committee published
a report on
the link between tax evasion and money laundering. The report said:
tax
evasion provides incentives to established financial institutions as
well as authorities or politicians to engage in corrupt activities,
in quest of their own enrichment or other benefit. Financial
institutions/banks are interested in increasing their profits by
making use of this stream of funds, even if that implies
circumventing the existing rules.
By
design
This
means that the mechanisms financial institutions and accountants
create to evade tax are inevitably used to facilitate money
laundering. This is made worse by countries ‘racing
to the bottom’
to offer ever lower corporate tax rates.
The UK corporate tax rate
is currently 19%, the
lowest on record,
down 33 percentage points from the peak rate of 52% in 1982. The
rate is
set to
drop to 17% in 2020.
These latest figures
show money laundering is a massive problem. Surely it’s time for
people to come together and tackle systemic corruption once and for
all.

Johnstone heeft zich over de berichtgeving van de massamedia gebogen
en zet een aantal feiten wat betreft de reguliere (massa-) media op
een rij, waarbij ze tot verrassende inzichten komt.
Als
eerste buigt Johnstone zich over de vraag waarom journalisten van de
reguliere media in ‘vrije democratieën’ (‘een beetje dubbelop’) zich gedragen als hun collega’s van staatsmedia
propagandisten. Waarom gedragen ze zich als betrouwbare
vertegenwoordigers van de gevestigde orde en waarom wordt elk idee
gemarginaliseerd dat niet past in wat op een bepaald moment als een
correcte gedachte wordt gezien? (en dat kan op zeer grove manier
gebeuren, zie de smerige en uiterst valse berichtgeving over de Britse Labour leider Jeremy Corbyn door de reguliere
media waar ook de BBC deel van uitmaakt, al kan je die
‘onafhankelijke zendgemachtigde’ als staatsomroep onder een dictatuur zien)
Waarom worden
mensen die de gevestigde orde bekritiseren altijd door de
media veroordeeld? Waarom worden ‘fouten’ in een land dat
buiten de invloedssfeer en de macht van de gecentraliseerde VS-alliantie valt, zo kritisch
becommentarieerd door de reguliere (westerse) media, terwijl fouten binnen die alliantie worden vergeven, of veelal zelfs niet worden genoemd?
Volgens
Johnstone zijn er maar twee verklaringen voor die unanieme instemming
van de reguliere media op die onderwerpen:
Die
instemming bestaat omdat die media altijd de waarheid zouden vertellen, of
die instemming bestaat omdat er een systeem is ontstaan, waarin de
journalisten van de reguliere media ons voorliegen en een vals beeld
schetsen van wat er gebeurt in de wereld.
Volgens
Johnstone zijn dit de enige mogelijkheden, waarbij ze de eerste
uiteraard afwijst, immers als deze media altijd de
waarheid vertellen, zouden deze media niet de leugens herhalen over bijvoorbeeld de oorlogen in Vietnam en Irak, ofwel dan zou het afslachten van
miljoenen op grond van leugens niet zijn verdedigd in die media………
Eén en ander betekent overigens niet dat de grote reguliere media alleen maar liegen, immers dan zou men de klanten snel verliezen, nee men brengt natuurlijk ook echt nieuws, naast halve waarheden, verdraaide feiten en de al genoemde leugens.
Lees het
artikel van Johnstone, zij legt deze zaak duidelijk uit, waarna de
conclusie wordt getrokken dat de media inderdaad aan de leiband lopen
van plutocraten of fondsen van aandeelhouders (oké dat was al
bekend, maar Johnstone geeft het geheel handen en voeten). Voorts meldt Johnstone ten overvloede nog eens dat de CIA al sinds de 50er jaren van de vorige eeuw bemoeienis heeft met de reguliere (massa-) media in de VS…….
How
Plutocratic Media Keeps Staff Aligned With Establishment Agendas
Why
do mainstream media reporters within ostensibly free democracies act
just like state media propagandists? Why are they so reliably
pro-establishment, all throughout every mainstream outlet? Why do
they so consistently marginalize any idea that doesn’t fit within
the extremely narrow Overton window of acceptable opinion? Why does
anyone who inconveniences western establishment power always find
themselves on the losing end of a trial by media? Why are they so
dependably adversarial toward anything that could be perceived as a
flaw in any nation outside the US-centralized power alliance, and so
dependably forgiving of the flaws of the nations within it?
The
way I see it there are only two possible explanations for the
unanimous consensus in mass media on these issues:
Explanation
1: The
consensus exists because the mass media reporters are all telling the
truth all the time.
OR
Explanation
2: The
consensus exists because there is some kind of system in place which
keeps all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false
picture about what’s going on in the world.
Those
are the only two possibilities, and only one can be true, since any
mixture of the two would result in the loss of consensus.
Most
mainstream westerners harbor an unquestioned assumption that
Explanation 1 is the only possibility. The things they see on CNN,
the BBC and the ABC are all accurate descriptions of what’s really
going on in the world, and the consensus in their descriptions exists
because they’re all describing the same objective reality.
But
what would that mean exactly? Well, for starters if the mainstream
media reporters are telling us the truth all the time it would mean
that the same power institutions which slaughtered millions in
Vietnam and Iraq for no good reason are actually virtuous and honest.
It would mean the positive, uncritical picture that is consistently
painted of those same institutions which wage
nonstop campaigns of bloodshed and
oppression to ensure the profit of economic manipulators and war
profiteers is due to those institutions possessing merits which are
overall so positive that no criticism of them is needed. It would
mean that the status quo of climate destruction, steadily growing
wealth inequality, an increasingly Orwellian surveillance system, an
increasingly militarized police force, increasing internet
censorship, and crushing neoliberal austerity measures are all things
people voted for using the excellent democratic political system the
mainstream media defends, based on the accurate information the
mainstream media gave them about what’s in their best interests.
Explanation
1 sounds improbable in that light. We know that the system is
spectacularly screwed up, and we know that the political
establishment which these mainstream outlets always defend does
unforgivably evil things, so we should expect to see a lot more
critical reporting and a lot less protecting of the status quo. But
we don’t. We see war crimes ignored, oppression justified, the
two-headed one-party system normalized, dissident narratives smeared
as fake news conspiracy theories, and unproven assertions by
government agencies with a known history of lying reported as
unquestionable fact.
But
that leaves only Explanation 2. How could that be right?
This
partof
a 1996
interviewbetween
Noam Chomsky and the BBC’s Andrew Marr describes a foundational
element of Explanation 2: that there is a system in place which
ensures that all the reporters in positions of influence are there
not to report factually on the news of the day, but to sell a
particular narrative that is friendly to the state and the status
quo. Chomsky describes a “filtering system” which ensures
that only those loyal to power rise to the top within the
plutocrat-owned media, to which Marr objects and insists that his
peers are brave truth-tellers who hold power to account.
Subsequently, the following exchange takes place:
”Chomsky:
Well, I know some of the best, and best known investigative reporters
in the United States, I won’t mention names, whose attitude towards
the media is much more cynical than mine. In fact, they regard the
media as a sham. And they know, and they consciously talk about how
they try to play it like a violin. If they see a little opening,
they’ll try to squeeze something in that ordinarily wouldn’t make
it through. And it’s perfectly true that the majority – I’m
sure you’re speaking for the majority of journalists who are
trained, have it driven into their heads, that this is a crusading
profession, adversarial, we stand up against power. A very
self-serving view. On the other hand, in my opinion, I hate to make a
value judgement but, the better journalists and in fact the ones who
are often regarded as the best journalists have quite a different
picture. And I think a very realistic one.
Marr:
How can you know that I’m self-censoring? How can you know that
journalists are..
Chomsky:
I’m not saying your self censoring. I’m sure you believe
everything you’re saying. But what I’m saying is that if you
believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where you’re
sitting”.
“If
you believed something different, you wouldn’t be sitting where
you’re sitting.”
It
is an obvious fact that mainstream media outlets are
owned by the extremely wealthy,
as has been the case for a very long time. Owning media is in and of
itself a profitable investment, “like having a license to print
your own money” as Canadian television magnate Roy Thomson once
put it.
So when it comes to the news media outlets which form people’s
perceptions of the world, what incentive would a powerful plutocrat
have to platform anti-establishment voices on those outlets and help
sow ideas which upset the status quo upon which said plutocrat has
built his empire? It certainly wouldn’t make him any more money,
and if anti-establishment ideas like socialism, anarchism,
non-interventionism or skepticism of government agencies gained
popular footing in public consciousness, it could upset the
foundation of the plutocrat’s dynasty and cause him to lose
everything.
Plutocrats
have put a lot of energy into influencing government policy in order
to create legislation which ensures the continued growth of their
wealth and power. A whole lot of maneuvering has had to happen over
the course of many years to create a political system wherein
government bribery is legal in the form of campaign finance and
corporate lobbying, wherein deregulation of corporations is the norm,
wherein tax loopholes are abundant and tax burdens are shifted to the
middle class, wherein money hemorrhages upward to the wealthiest of
the wealthy while ordinary people grow poorer and poorer. What
incentive would these powerful oligarchs have to risk upsetting that
delicate balancing act by helping to circulate ideas which challenge
the very governmental system they’ve worked so hard to manipulate
to their extreme advantage? And how many incentives would they have
to keep everyone supporting the status quo?
How
hard would it be to simply decline to give anti-establishment voices
a platform, and platform establishment loyalists instead? How easy
would it be for a wealthy media owner or influential investor to
ensure that only establishment loyalists are given the job of hiring
and promoting editors and reporters in a mainstream media outlet?
Every blue-checkmark MSM journo on Twitter is auditioning for a job. All they’re actually tweeting is “Look at me, current or future employer! I will smear Julian Assange! I will help sell the Russia narrative! I’ll say Corbyn is an antisemite!” And the MSM bosses pay attention.
If
you’ve ever wondered what motivates all those blue-checkmarked
corporate media journalists to spend so much time on Twitter
defending the powerful and attacking the disempowered, this is your
answer. They spend their own free time smearing Jill Stein, calling
Jeremy Corbyn an antisemite, attacking Julian Assange, supporting
longtime neoconservative war agendas against Russia, Syria and Iran
and uncritically reporting intelligence agency assertions as fact not
because there’s a CIA officer hovering over their shoulder at all
times telling them exactly what to tweet, but because they’re
auditioning for a job. They’re creating a public record of their
establishment loyalism which current and future employers will look
at when weighing hiring and promotion decisions, which is why both
journalism schools and journalism employers now
encourage journalists to cultivate a social media presence to
“build their brand”, i.e. their public resume.
So
it’s very easy to fill mass media jobs with minds which are not
predisposed toward rocking the boat. A pro-establishment consensus is
artificially built, and now you’ve got an environment where someone
who stands up and says “Uh, hey, so we still haven’t seen any
actual hard evidence that Russia interfered in the US election in any
meaningful way” or whatever is instantly greeted by a wall of
shunning and shaming (observe Aaron
Maté‘s
interactions with other journalists on social media for a good
example of this), which can be psychologically difficult to deal
with.

Anyone
who’s ever gone to high school can understand how powerful the
social pressures to seek peer approval and fit in can be, and anyone
who’s ever worked a normal job anywhere can understand the natural
incentives that are in place to behave in a way that is pleasing to
one’s bosses. In any job with any kind of hierarchy, you quickly
learn the written rules, and you pay close attention to social cues
to learn the unwritten ones as well. You do this in order to learn
how to avoid getting in trouble and how to win the approval of your
superiors, to learn which sorts of behaviors can lead to raises and
promotions, and which behaviors will lead to a career dead-end. You
learn what will earn you a pat on the back from a leader, which can
be extremely egoically gratifying and incentivizing in and of itself.
It
works exactly the same way in news media. Reporters might not always
be consciously aware of all the pro-establishment guidelines they’re
expected to follow in order to advance their careers, but they know
how the reporters who’ve ascended to the top of the media ladder
conduct themselves, and they see how the journalists who win the
accolades behave. With the help of editors and peers you quickly
learn where all the third rails and sacred cows are, and when to shut
your mouth about the elephant in the room. And for those rare times
that all these filtration devices fail to adequately filter out
dissident ideas, you see the example that gets made of those few who
slip between the cracks, like CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill for
his defense
of Palestinian human rights or
Phil Donahue for his opposition
to the Iraq invasion.

So
plutocrats own the mass media and platform status quo-friendly
voices, which creates an environment full of peer pressure to conform
and workplace pressure to advance establishment-friendly narratives.
Add to this the phenomenon of access
journalism,
wherein journalists are incentivized to cozy up to power and pitch
softball questions to officials in order to gain access to them, and
things get even more slanted. It’s easy to understand how all this
can create an environment of consensus which has nothing to do with
facts or reality, but rather with what narratives favor the
US-centralized empire and the plutocrats who control it. But all
those dynamics aren’t the only factors going into making sure a
consensus worldview is maintained. Remember that hypothetical CIA
officer I mentioned earlier who isn’t actively leaning over every
journalist’s shoulder and dictating what they tweet? Well, just
because he’s not dictating every word produced by the mass media
machine doesn’t mean he’s not involved.
Secretive
and unaccountable government agencies have an extensive and
well-documented record of involving themselves with news media
outlets. It is a known and undisputed fact that the Central
Intelligence Agency has been intimately
involved in America’s news media since the 1950s,
and it remains so to this day. In 2014 it was a scandal when reporter
Ken Dilanian was caught collaborating
with the CIA in
his publications, but now veterans of the US intelligence community
like John Brennan and James Clapper openly
fill out the line-up of
talking heads on MSNBC and CNN. Just recently the Guardian published
a lie-filled smear piece on Julian Assange which was
almost certainly the resultof
the outlet’s collaboration with one or more intelligence and/or
defense agencies, and when that article caused an outcry it was
defended as the likely result of Russian disinformation in an
evidence-free article by a CIA veteran who was permitted to publish
anonymously in Politico.
The Washington
Post is
solely owned by Jeff Bezos, who
is a CIA contractor,
and who we may be certain did not purchase the Post under the
illusion that newspapers were about to make a lucrative comeback.
Secretive government agencies are deeply involved in the workings of
western news media, in many ways we know about, and in far more ways
we don’t know about.
Taking
all of these factors into consideration and revisiting Explanation 1
and Explanation 2 from the beginning of this article, it should be
obvious to you that the most logical explanation for the uniform
consensus of support for pro-establishment narratives in the mass
media exists because there is indeed a system in place which keeps
all mass media reporters lying to us and painting a false picture
about what’s going on in the world.
This
doesn’t mean that these news media outlets lie about everything all
the time, it means they mostly provide half-truths, distortions and
lies by omission whenever it benefits the agendas of the powerful,
which is functionally the same as lying all the time. I sometimes get
people telling me “Caitlin! The MSM lies all
the time,
and they say global warming is real! That means it’s false!” But
it doesn’t work that way; if the TV tells you a celebrity has died
then it’s probably true, and if they say it’s about to rain you
should probably roll up your car windows. If they lied about
everything all the time they would instantly lose all credibility,
and their ability to propagandize effectively would be lost. Instead,
they advance evidence-free narratives asserted by opaque government
agencies, they avoid highlighting inconvenient truths, they ignore
third parties and dissident ideas except to dismiss them, they
harshly criticize the misdeeds of governments which oppose the
US-centralized empire while sweeping the misdeeds of imperial members
under the rug, and when there’s an opportunity to sabotage peace or
support war, they seize it. They distort only when they have to, and
only as much as they need to.
In
this way the powerful have succeeded in controlling the people’s
narratives about what’s happening in their country and their world.
This is the system of narrative manipulation we are up against when
we try to sow dissident ideas into public consciousness, and as the
old adage goes, it is easier to fool people than to convince them
that they have been fooled.
And
yet we are gaining ground. The manipulators have been losing control
of the narrative, which is why the mass media have been acting
so weird and desperate since 2016.
The unelected power establishment failed to manufacture support for
its would-be Syria invasion, it failed
to get the publicto
buy into the Russia hysteria, trust in the mass media is at
an all-time
low,
and it’s continuing
to plummet.
More and more people are waking up to the fact that they are being
lied to, which is good, because the only thing keeping them from
pushing for real change is the fact that there are all these screens
in everyone’s lives telling them that real change isn’t needed.
The
liars are against the ropes, and they’re starting to look winded.
A populist
information revolutionis
looking more winnable than ever.

Vluchtelingen schijnen de EU jaarlijks 12 miljard te kosten, welgestelde ‘belastingvluchtelingen*‘ ontduiken de belastingen in de EU voor op jaarbasis 1.000 miljard…….. En over wie maakt men zich druk? Juist, over de arme drommels die naar de EU vluchten, voor geweld (o.a. illegale oorlogen) en zware armoede, beiden veroorzaakt door het westen, waaraan de wapenindustrie en andere grote bedrijven als banken een fikse bijdrage leveren en enorme winsten behalen….. Winsten die voor een deel in de kluizen lopen van de belasting ontduikende welgestelden (waar je in feite over dubbele belastingontduiking kan spreken…)
Dit nog buiten het ontduiken van de belastingen door EU bedrijven, reken maar dat dit bedrag jaarlijks niet ver van de 1.000 miljard is verwijderd (alleen in Nederland gaat het al om rond de 30 miljard op jaarbasis……) Dan te bedenken dat VVD opperhufter Rutte de grote bedrijven nog een extra cadeau wilde geven van een paar miljard op jaarbasis, met de afschaffing van de dividendbelasting…….. Daarnaast zijn de veelal belasting ontduikende welgestelden er onder Rutte 1, 2 en 3 met dikke dubbele cijfers op vooruitgegaan, waar werknemers al blij mogen zijn als ze bij elkaar 5% loonsverhoging kregen sinds 2010…….

Kreeg
vanmorgen een mail van Avaaz, een petitie voor steun aan aan EU
politici die een wet willen invoeren waarmee internetreuzen wel
normaal belasting moeten betalen.
Een
voorbeeld: Amazon maakte in 2017 bijna 200 miljard dollar winst en
betaalde amper belasting over die winst……
Toeval
bestaat niet zegt men wel eens: vanmorgen werd bekend gemaakt dat
Shell, de oliegigant, ondanks de miljarden winsten die het maakt,
geen winstbelasting betaalt, dit door afschrijving van gemaakte kosten op de winst, zoals rente kosten……
Op BNR was de neoliberale plork Kavelaars te horen, NB
een ‘professor’ aan de Erasmus universiteit, die stelde dat Shell niets anders doet dan de
belastingregels volgen…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Kavelaars stelde verder dat Shell onder verscherpt toezicht staat en Shell dus niet kan sjoemelen…….
Alles is prima controleerbaar voor de belasting aldus Kavelaars….. ha! ha! ha! ha! Jammer genoeg is het al jaren geen geheim meer dat de belastingdienst te weinig personeel heeft om bijvoorbeeld zwartspaarders aan te pakken*, reken maar dat men daar al helemaal geen tijd heeft voor de uiterst ingewikkelde boekhouding van Shell……
Daarnaast zijn de kromme belastingregels, die welgestelden en grote bedrijven bevoordelen, opgesteld door politici die lobbyen voor die welgestelden en grote
bedrijven als Shell, ronduit schandalig!! Voorts worden de belastingaangiften van de gewone burgers wel goed gecontroleerd door de belastingdienst…..
Nogmaals: het is een schande dat we moeten leven met dergelijke belastingregels, immers volgens normale ethische normen zouden dit soort lobbyende politici verantwoordelijk voor die regels, als misdadigers worden gezien, misdadigers die als volksvertegenwoordigers crimineel de belangen
behartigen van welgestelden en grote bedrijven…. ‘Lullig’ maar één van de voorbeelden is ‘onze premier’ Rutte, die nauwe banden onderhoudt met
bedrijven als Unilever, voor wie hij 10 jaar werkte en waarvoor hij zelfs de Nederlandse dividendbelasting wilde afschaffen………
Zoals
gezegd, Avaaz heeft een petitie op poten gezet voor steun aan EU
politici die een eind willen maken aan het grote
belasting ontduiken…… Vergeet niet dat alleen grote Nederlandse
bedrijven op jaarbasis al een slordige 30 miljard aan belasting
ontduiken, geld waarmee we alle schulden ellende waaronder een fiks deel van de grote
onderlaag in onze maatschappij leeft (waaronder veel gehandicapten, chronisch zieken en ouderen), voorgoed kunnen oplossen!!
Intussen bezitten de acht rijkste mannen op onze aarde, mede door de kromme belastingregels, evenveel als de arme helft van de wereldbevolking…….. Me dunkt de hoogste tijd voor een alles omwentelende wereldrevolutie!! (helaas zal dit voorlopig niet gebeuren….)

* Deze zwartspaarders ontduiken op jaarbasis naar schatting 20 miljard euro………. En dan durft men de laagste inkomens te belasten met 37% inkomstenbelasting………
Dennis Wiersma van misdadigerspartij VVD moest uiteraard ook een het nieuws halen en na een hersenstorm van een klein jaar was hij eruit: een ‘doorstartbaan’ voor (langdurig) werklozen na 45 jaar.
Werklozen met een ‘doorstartbaan’ krijgen het eerste jaar 80% van het salaris dat normaal betaald zou worden voor die baan, als tegenprestatie krijgen die mensen een opleiding aangeboden en geleidelijk zou dan een normaal salaris betaald worden. Ik hoorde deze haatzaaier tegen bijstandsgerechtigden* op Radio1 rond 8.18 u. vanmorgen, waar de VVD flapdrol niet duidelijk kon maken of de arbeiders na 2 of 3 jaar het volledige salaris krijgen, dat is belangrijk daar de ‘doorstartbaan’ een contract zou moeten krijgen voor 3 jaar…….. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Reken maar dat het volledige salaris pas na 3 jaar betaald wordt, het moment waarop de ‘doorstarter’ de deur uit wordt geschopt, om plaats te maken voor een nieuwe ‘doorstarter’ die tegen 80% van het salaris een stuk goedkoper is……
Voor de werkgever ontstaat (om een vervelend cliché aan te halen) een ‘win win situatie’, immers de scholing van de arbeider kan hij in mindering brengen op de belasting en hij heeft een paar jaar lang een goedkope en veelal goede werkkracht!!
Er zijn ongelofelijk veel opleidingen in Nederland, waarvan het grootste deel na een paar jaar door het ijs zakt en waarover een werkgever na ongeveer hetzelfde aantal jaren zal bedenken dat hij/zij geen fluit heeft aan deze opleiding…….. (na 6 jaar zijn veel eerdere ‘opleidingen’ zelfs geheel verdwenen en na een jaar of 8 vergeten)
Onbegrijpelijk dat de Radio1 redactie ook Liane den Haan, de grofgraaier van ANBO aan de lijn had, zij stelde volkomen achter dit idee te staan, niet zo vreemd als je ziet wat deze flapdrol al aan neoliberale ideeën (ook van de VVD) heeft omarmd in het verleden….. Volgens den Haan krijgen veel ouderen niet de kans zichzelf verder te ontwikkelen, daar ze steeds in korte dienstverbanden worden aangenomen en dan weer ander werk moeten zoeken…… Nee, een baan van 3 jaar is ontzettend lang, nou goed??!!! Een baan van 3 jaar met een opleiding waar andere werkgevers niet op zitten te wachten, bovendien zou hufter den Haan als ouderenvertegenwoordiger moeten weten dat heel veel werkkrachten na hun 30ste al geen zin meer hebben om nog een opleiding te doen, dat aantal stijgt alleen maar met het verstrijken van de jaren……..
Trouwens wat moet den Haan met 45 plussers? Immers ANBO is een organisatie voor 65 plussers! Hoewel de organisatie waarschijnlijk niet veel mensen van boven de 65 als lid zal hebben, je zou wel gek zijn, de ANBO doet geen fluit voor je…… Onlangs liet de ANBO ook weten dat het kabinet een handreiking moet doen voor het pensioenakkoord…….
Alsof het voorliggende pensioenakkoord een geweldig plan is, terwijl de werkelijkheid is, dat je totaal niet meer zeker bent van een fatsoenlijk inkomen in de toekomst, daar de fondsen groen licht krijgen het grootste deel van de door de werknemers tijdens hun leven gespaarde gelden te vergokken op de beurs……. Daarnaast is de solidariteit tussen de generaties helemaal weggespeeld in het voorstel van de overheid en de pensioenfondsen…….
Nog even dit over de pensioenfondsen: deze worden niet zelden geleid door uitgerangeerde politieke leeghoofden, neem het ABP dat wordt geleid door hare suffigheid Wortmann van het CDA…….. Een schande, daar de politiek op deze manier een extra klauw in de pensioenpot van ons allen heeft, dezelfde politiek die in de 90er jaren meer dan 100 miljard uit de door de arbeiders bij elkaar gespaarde pensioenpot heeft gestolen en aan de werkgevers heeft gegeven…..
Een doorstartbaan? Een grof schandaal, waar ouderen niet mee worden geholpen maar waarmee hen een rad voor ogen wordt gedraaid! Wanneer wordt er eindelijk eens echt iets gedaan tegen leeftijddiscriminatie??
Bent u lid van de ANBO? Opzeggen, weggegooid geld!! (voor meer smerige neoliberale fratsen van den Haan, klik op het label met haar naam, direct onder dit bericht, of klik op het label ANBO op diezelfde plaats)
* Wiersma wil het liefst de jacht openen op bijstandsgerechtigden, hoewel de welgestelden jaarlijks rond de 20 miljard aan belasting ontduiken, een heel kleine fractie van dat bedrag wordt door bijstandgerechtigden bij elkaar gefraudeerd…… Zoals je begrijpt zal Wiersma niet snel oproepen de jacht te openen op welgestelde belastingontduikers, sterker nog daar hoor je hem niet over……
Zo af en
toe donder ik van m’n stoel als ik berichten lees, zoals het
hieronder opgenomen artikel van de Beurs.nl, waarin wordt gemeld dat
de topgraaier van Renault en Nissan, Carlos Ghosn, die in 2017 maar
liefst een inkomen van meer dan 16 miljoen euro opstreek, de
belasting oplichtte door te sjoemelen met zijn inkomstenaangifte.
voorts maakte hij o.a misbruik van bedrijfsmiddelen…….

Ghosn deed e.e.a. als topman van Renault en Nissan, bovendien is hij topman van een samenwerkingsverband van deze 2 firma’s met Mitsubishi.
Als je
zoveel geld ‘verdient’ en dan het gore lef hebt de belasting op te
lichten, is er maar één conclusie mogelijk: je bent een
psychopathische misdadiger, die nooit weer een bestuursfunctie zou
mogen vervullen, waar zijn bezittingen en bankrekeningen zouden
moeten worden geconfisqueerd* en hij daarnaast een fikse onvoorwaardelijke gevangenisstraf zou moeten krijgen…..
Ghosn viel door de mand, daar een klokkenluider een boekje over hem opendeed……. Intussen zou Ghosn al gearresteerd zijn.
Tijd dat alle topsalarissen maximaal 6 keer het gemiddeld verdiende salaris mogen bedragen, met een absoluut maximum van € 120.000– Meer dan genoeg om fiks van te kunnen leven en uit te kunnen geven….. Zijn we meteen zeer snel van de achterlijk hoge huizenprijs af (en van de stinkende suffe auto’s van dat geteisem)!

TOKIO
(AFN/RTR/BLOOMBERG) – Het Japanse autoconcern Nissan wil af van zijn
voorzitter Carlos Ghosn omdat uit onderzoek is gebleken dat hij zich
schuldig heeft gemaakt aan fraude. Dat heeft het bedrijf maandag
bekendgemaakt. Nissan bevestigt berichtgeving dat de autoriteiten in
Japan een arrestatiebevel voor Ghosn hebben uitgevaardigd. Ghosn is
tevens topman van het Franse autoconcern Renault en geeft leiding aan
het Frans-Japanse samenwerkingsverband Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi dat
onder zijn bewind werd opgebouwd.
Volgens
Nissan is uit onderzoek gebleken dat de 64-jarige Ghosn jarenlang
heeft gesjoemeld met zijn inkomstenaangifte door een te laag salaris
te melden. Ook zou hij andere overtredingen hebben begaan,
bijvoorbeeld door persoonlijk gebruik te maken van
bedrijfsbezittingen.
Het
arrestatiebevel werd uitgegeven door de openbaar aanklager in Tokio.
Die heeft nog geen toelichting gegeven op de zaak. Ghosn zou bereid
zijn vrijwillig een verklaring af te leggen. Verschillende Japanse
media melden dat hij al is opgepakt. Onderzoekers zouden
huiszoekingen hebben gedaan bij Nissan.
Intern
onderzoek
Nissan
wijst op een intern onderzoek dat in de afgelopen maanden werd
uitgevoerd naar Ghosn nadat een klokkenluider de zaak aankaartte. Ook
directeur Greg Kelly van Nissan zou de regels hebben overtreden. Het
autobedrijf spreekt in een verklaring van ,,ernstig wangedrag” van
de bestuurders. Renault heeft nog geen commentaar geleverd op de
kwestie.
Ghosn
kreeg over 2017 een beloning van 7,4 miljoen euro voor zijn werk als
topman van Renault.
Dit jaar werd zijn contract als topman van
Renault nog verlengd tot 2022. Ghosn legde vorig jaar zijn functie
van topman van Nissan neer. Hij kreeg voor zijn laatste jaar als
topman van Nissan een vergoeding van 9,2 miljoen euro.
Beleggers
schrokken van de berichtgeving. Op de beurs in Parijs kelderde het
aandeel Renault tegen het einde van de ochtendhandel meer dan 13
procent.
*Ofwel, ook de ‘Plukze-wetgeving’ zou op dit soort schoften van toepassing moeten zijn…….
Het SWIFT (internationaal)
betalingssysteem heeft door het psychopathisch terreur gedrag van de
VS haar beste tijd gehad. De VS gebruikte SWIFT o.a. om een
staatsgreep in Iran te forceren, door Iran in 2012 uit te sluiten van SWIFT (met de sancties
die de VS Iran heeft opgelegd, wil Trump Iran opnieuw uitsluiten van SWIFT…..).
Ofwel: de VS gebruikt SWIFT als
terreurwapen tegen staten die de VS niet welgevallig zijn….
Gelukkig heeft de VS daarmee in haar eigen staart gebeten, zo heeft
China al een eigen intern systeem en Rusland heeft haar eigen internationale betalingssysteem ‘gelanceerd’: SPFS, waar het land nu overlegt met China, Turkije en Iran voor deelname aan dit systeem.
Met haar handelen isoleert de VS zich
steeds meer, volkomen terecht stelt Tom Luongo in het hieronder opgenomen artikel (door Tyler Durden ‘geredigeerd’ en op Zero Hedge geplaatst) dat de bankwereld
pas echt wakker zal worden als de VS de Duitse Bank zou willen
straffen voor het handelen in Russische energie (gas en/of olie) en
die bank zou daarop besluiten om van SWIFT op SPFS over te stappen.
Ongelofelijk dat de
VS denkt werkelijk iedereen de valse VS wet voor te kunnen schrijven (en te belachelijk voor woorden dat men de VS over de wereld als een psychopathische
massamoordenaar tekeer laat gaan…)…..
During
the ruble crisis of 2014/15 Russia announced in the wake of U.S. and
European sanctions over reunifying with Crimea that it would begin
building a domestic electronic financial transfer system, an
alternative to SWIFT.
That
system, System for Transfer of Financial Messages (SPFS), is not
only now functioning in Russia, according to a
report from RT it
now handles the financial transfer data for more than half of
Russia’s institutions.
According
to Anatoly Aksakov, head of the Russian parliamentary committee
on financial markets:
The
number of users of our internal financial messages’ transfer system
is now greater than that of those using SWIFT. We’re already
holding talks with China, Iran and Turkey, along with several other
countries, on linking our system with their systems,” Aksakov said.
“They
need to be properly integrated with each other in order to avoid any
problems with using the countries’ internal financial messaging
systems.”
This
is a follow up to last month’s boast by the Russians that their
system was seeing a lot of international interest. How much of
this is boast and how much of it is reality remains to be seen, but
the important point here is that the minute the U.S. weaponized SWIFT
for use in its foreign policy, something like this was bound to
occur.
China
has its own internal system. And other countries are building
theirs as well.
The
SWIFT Cost
A
common theme on this blog is that control
is an illusion. Power is ephemeral. The
best way to exercise your power is to have it but never use it.
Because once you do use it you define for your enemies the costs of
their lack of compliance to your edicts.
And
if there is one thing humans are good at it is responding to known
incentives. Once we can calculate the cost of one behavior over
another we can then decide which one is more important to us.
Once
costs of staying in SWIFT rise above the benefits of building your
own alternative, you build an alternative.
SWIFT
is a market power similar to a CEO having billions in restricted
stock in their company. A lot of hay is made about the net
worth of people like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg.
Quoting
their net worth by multiplying their known holdings times the current
price of the stock is useless. Because they can’t sell it.
It is market power or perceived wealth that evaporates the moment
they signal to the market their intention to sell.
In
reality, if they tried to sell their stock all at once the value of
the stock would plummet as buyers would run for the hills and they
would realize far less than their stated net worth before the selling
began.
So,
if anything they are a captive of their own success, needing to
manage the creation carefully to avoid damaging its reputation,
market position and, ultimately, its business.
SWIFT
is a monopoly system, a monopoly born of convenience and inertia
thanks to it being neutral to whims of international political
spats. Enter
the late stage of imperial thinking in the U.S. where our control
over world affairs is waning first in the hearts and minds of various
people around the world and then in policy and you have the beginning
of the end of SWIFT as the only international financial transfer
system.
Back
in 2010, I remember Jim Sinclair banging his shoe on the table about
our threatening Switzerland over opening up its customer data looking
for ‘tax cheats’ under FATCA. He said then that the Obama
administration was idiotic for doing this.
This
is where I got the maxim, once
you go nuclear you have no other option.
And
he was right.
Then
Iran was cut out of SWIFT in 2012 to effect regime change which also
failed. And that woke the world up to the reality. The
U.S. and Europe will attempt to destroy your livelihood if you dare
oppose its unilateral demands.
Our
political and financial elites, The
Davos Crowd,
will stop at literally nothing to ensure your compliance.
Too
bad that SWIFT is just code. It’s just an encrypted messaging
system. And like the push to stifle alternative voices on
social media – de-platforming Alex Jones and Gab for examples – the
solution to authoritarian control is not fighting fire with fire, but
technology.
And
that’s exactly what Russia has done. They
applied themselves, spent the money and wrote their own code. Code
is, after all, hard to control.
De-coding
SWIFT’s Power
It
is also what is happening all over the Internet communications supply
chain right now. The
infrastructure independent content producers need to resist corporate
control is being built and will see their businesses rise as so many
more people are now woketo
the reality of the situation.
As
Russian banks and businesses reap the benefits of no longer existing
under SWIFT’s Sword of Damocles, others will see the same benefits.
I’ve
been making this point all year, the more the Trump administration
uses tariffs and sanctions to achieve its political goals the more it
will ultimately weaken the U.S.’s position worldwide. It
won’t happen overnight.
It
will build, gradually, steadily until one day the threat will no
longer be there.
We
may have already reached that moment as President Trump has ruled out
pressuring SWIFT to cut Iran out of the system. Too bad his
evil Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin doesn’t agree with him.
But,Mnuchin
is living in the past, he doesn’t respect the resistance that’s
forming to U.S. financial hegemony. He will though when it
proves ineffectual.
Russia’s
SPFS will gain clients across Iran, Turkey, China and the rest of its
close trading partners. This will accelerate the
de-dollarization of Russia’s main trade, hydrocarbons, since many
of these countries are major buyers of Russian oil.
When
you hear the announcement from a German bank under sanctions from the
U.S. for trading in Russian energy that it will use SPFS as its
transfer system, that will be the real wake up call to the markets.
Change
then will comes, forgive the obvious pun, swiftly.

Gisteren op BNR een beetje vreemd gebracht onderwerp: volgens cijfers van het CBS (vooral nooit zomaar voor waar aannemen!) groeit het aantal werknemers niet dat over de grens woont en in Nederland werkt. Daarom wil VNO-NCW een proeftuin inrichten in Vlaanderen en Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, om te zien hoe problemen op fiscaal gebied kunnen worden opgelost met aparte regelgeving in die streek…..
Heb VNO-NCW nooit gehoord over de welgestelde Nederlanders die over de grens met België gingen wonen vanwege een gunstiger belastingtarief……. Deze Nederlandse belastingvluchtelingen hebben de huizenprijs aan de andere kant van onze grens op een waanzinnig hoog niveau weten te krijgen, zodat zeker jonge Belgen geen kans hebben een huis te kopen in de gemeente waar ze met hun ouders wonen, dan wel in een groot gebied daaromheen……
Op BNR was rond 6.50 u. Cees Pille, regiomanager VNO-NCW voor Zeeland te horen die o.a. stelde dat het wat betreft de bijtelling voor een auto, er in België andere regels gelden dan in Nederland…… Ofwel: het voordeel dat welgestelde Nederlanders hebben, die hier werken, maar in België wonen, is nog lang niet groot genoeg, de negatieve Belgische regels moeten aangepast worden, zodat deze grofgraaiers nog beter ‘binnenlopen……..’
Het vreemde was dat VNO-NCW stelt dat de Nederlandse regering het werken over de grens wil bevorderen, terwijl VNO-NCW stelt dat uit CBS cijfers blijkt dat het aantal Nederlanders dat over de grens woont, maar hier werkt al jaren niet toeneemt……. Dat lijkt me een goede zaak, men probeert niet langer de Nederlandse belastingpot te ontwijken, ofwel dat is gunstig voor die belastingpot……. Bovendien is het gunstig voor de Belgische starters op de woningmarkt (al zullen de effecten van te hoge prijzen daar, nog heel lang aanhouden…).
VVD oppersufferd André Bosman, liet later op BNR weten dat hij achter de oproep van VNO-NCW staat en dus voorstander is voor een aparte behandeling van grensoverschrijdende werkers…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Alsof je een bal 2 meter voor een open doel legt en deze erin schiet……
Je snapt het al: de VVD en VNO-NCW willen de gunstigste regels van beide landen ten goede laten komen aan figuren die al een godsvermogen verdienen!! Reken maar niet dat gewone arbeiders gebruik mogen maken van dergelijke regelgeving, al lijkt het me uitermate moeilijk om deze laagbetaalden uit te sluiten, maar ja er geburen wel vreemdere zaken als het over ‘belastingdruk’ gaat, neem het feit dat Nederland een belastingparadijs is (voor de welgestelden plus de middelgrote en grote bedrijven…..)….
Het onzalige kabinet Rutte 3 heeft de plannen voor de intrekking van de dividendbelasting ingetrokken. Alsof het hier ging om onrecht voor de grote bedrijven te herstellen, maakte men bekend dat de winstbelasting toch verlaagd zal worden van 25 naar 21%, waarvoor de kosten op zo’n 2 miljard euro zouden worden geschat……..
Het plan voor verlaging van de winstbelasting zou in het regeerakkoord van Rutte 3 zijn opgenomen en deze zou niet door zijn gegaan als de dividendbelasting werd afgeschaft…….
Blijkbaar was het eerdere cadeau van 2 miljard voor het grote bedrijfsleven destijds geen probleem voor degenen die zich terecht zo druk maakten over de afschaffing van de dividendbelasting……….
Met Rutte 3 zouden we een volksvertegenwoordigend kabinet hebben, echter dit kabinet is vooral bezig met het vertegenwoordigen, of beter gezegd: met het lobbyen voor het (grote) bedrijfsleven………
De laagste inkomens betalen godbetert 37% inkomstenbelasting en niet vreemd dus dat velen van hen in de financiële problemen zitten, vanwege een te laag inkomen om de peperdure huur, zorgverzekering en andere belastingen te betalen………. (zelfs inclusief de huur- en zorgtoeslag…)
Overigens zijn er bedrijven in Nederland die zelfs minder dan 20% aan belastingen betalen……
Tja, we leven nu eenmaal in een belastingparadijs voor de welgestelden en het bedrijfsleven……
Afgelopen vrijdagmorgen was op BNR na 7.30 u. D66 hufter Koolmees te horen over uitkeringsfraude, voornamelijk gepleegd door Poolse arbeiders, aldus Koolmees, die daarmee ook nog eens haatzaait tegen deze mensen…….
Veel dappere praatjes dat het UWV haar werk beter moet doen en dat er een strenge aanpak moet komen van deze fraude, waarbij Poolse arbeiders zich werkloos melden en een uitkering krijgen, waar er in feite wel werk zou zijn voor deze arbeiders……
Weet niet wat men verstaat onder werk voor deze werknemers die elders ontslag kregen, bijvoorbeeld moeten deze arbeiders zich beschikbaar houden voor werk in Drenthe terwijl ze al jaren in het Westland wonen…?? (immers om voor een uitkering in aanmerking te komen, moet je minstens 5 jaar aaneengesloten hebben gewerkt) Kan me goed voorstellen dat deze Polen daar geen trek in hebben.
Waar Koolmees zich niet druk om maakt, is over de enorme uitbuiting van Poolse en andere Oost-Europese werknemers….. In het Westland hebben een fiks aantal tuinders 2 ploegen met Poolse arbeiders in dienst, althans ze hebben elke afzonderlijke groep een half jaar in dienst, waarna deze mensen moeten opzouten, op dat moment komt de tweede groep in beeld en die werkt dan ook weer voor een half jaar bij zo’n vuile uitbuiter……. Daarmee kunnen deze tuinders (vaak ‘goede christenen’, dus zondag vooraan in de kerk) deze arbeiders zo min mogelijk betalen en waarmee deze arbeiders geen extra beloning krijgen of rechten op kunnen bouwen na een aantal jaren in vaste dienst te hebben gewerkt…….
Nogmaals: deze Oost-Europese arbeiders (mensen) hebben recht op het minimumloon, echter zelfs dat krijgen ze meestal niet, daar de tuinders ofwel zelf huisjesmelkers zijn dan wel dit laten doen door een bedrijf en waar de veel te hoge kosten voor die belabberde huisvesting van het loon worden ingehouden……. Niet zelden kunnen Oost-Europese arbeiders niet eens terug naar hun moederland, daar ze niet genoeg verdienen om die reis jaarlijks minstens één keer te kunnen maken……
Deze Poolse en andere Oost-Europese arbeiders werken tegen het minimumloon, waar ze na een half jaar (de termijn waarbinnen ze geen extra rechten kunnen opbouwen) maar moet wachten of ze elders in het Westland werk kunnen vinden, al moet ik daar onmiddellijk aan toevoegen dat er tuinders zijn die de afgedankte groep van de andere tuinder onderling uitruilen na een half jaar werk……. Kortom het gaat hier om georganiseerde uitbuiting en deze situatie bestaat al jaren, iets waartegen de overheid, ondanks dat men op de hoogte is van deze in feite smerige fraude, niets onderneemt…….
Laat Koolmees eerst maar eens een eind maken aan de uitbuiting van Oost-Europese arbeiders, voordat hij de bevolking weer ‘een reden’ geeft om te spugen op de Oost-Europese arbeiders in ons land……..
Het is als met de zwartspaarders, die jaarlijks voor zo’n 20 miljard euro aan belasting ontduiken in ons land, daar gaat men alleen achteraan als de belastingdienst wordt getipt (althans dat mag je hopen, daar werknemers van deze dienst in het verleden meermaals hebben geklaagd dat ze niet achter welgestelde belastingontduikers aan mogen, ook al wisten ze zeker dat er werd gefraudeerd, dit vanwege de tijd die het zou kosten……. Voorts mocht dit welgestelde gespuis jarenlang tot inkeer komen en alsnog hun zwarte geld aangeven, dit tegen een boete die er amper toe deed…….
Het voorgaande, waar men uitkeringstrekkers uit en te na controleert, terwijl het bedrag aan uitkeringsfraude (hetzelfde geldt voor de hierboven beschreven fraude) waar het om gaat, niet in de schaduw kan staan van die 20 miljard aan belastingontduiking….. Waar de boetes voor uitkeringstrekkers in verhouding veel groter zijn, dan die voor de grote welgestelde fraudeurs…….
Ach ja, we leven nu eenmaal in een klassenmaatschappij, inclusief klassenjustitie……….

PS: ik sprak hier over Oost-Europese arbeiders in het Westland, echter dergelijke situaties zullen ook elders in Nederland bestaan (en dat ook bij ander werk), daar kan je de klok op gelijk zetten…….
