Christchurch aanslag: witte nationalistische terreur >> een uitvoerproduct van de VS

De
terreuraanslag tegen 2 moskeeën in Christchruch (Nieuw-Zeeland) werd
door witte nationalisten gepleegd. Volgens Paul J. Becker en Art
Jipson is het witte nationalisme dat tot deze en andere
terreuraanslagen tegen moslims heeft geleid, een product van de VS.
De terrorist die in Christchurch schoot, ziet de witte nationalisten
(fascisten) in de VS dan ook als groot voorbeeld….

Trump
stelde eerder dat het nationalisme geen grote problemen oplevert*,
echter de uitkomsten van een onderzoek door de Universiteit van
Chicago en de VN laten het tegenovergestelde zien…..

Het
geweld van witte nationalisten, wat mij betreft in veel gevallen
niets anders dan fascisme, neemt toe in het westen. Niet vreemd als
je ziet dat deze nationalisten de xenofobie die leeft bij een fiks deel van de diverse westerse bevolkingen en de bij deze groepen gekweekte anti-immigratie gevoelens voeden met haat- en angstzaaierij tegen/voor vreemdelingen, of die haat- en angstzaaierij nu tegen/voor hun geloof, huidskleur, of land van
oorsprong wordt gevoerd……

Over
fascisme gesproken: ook in de EU wordt deze ‘ideologie’ steeds groter
en het is niet ondenkbaar dat fascisten binnen afzienbare tijd (10 tot 20 jaar) zelfs
de grootste fractie in het EU parlement zullen vormen……..

(CONVERSATION) — The
recent massacre of 50
Muslim worshippers at two mosques in
Christchurch, New Zealand is the latest confirmation that white
supremacy is a danger
to democratic societies across the globe.

Despite
President Donald Trump’s suggestion that white
nationalist terrorism is not a major problem,
recent data from the United
Nations, University
of Chicago and
other sources show the opposite.

As
more people embrace
a xenophobic and anti-immigrant worldview,
it is fueling hostility and violence toward those deemed “outsiders”
– whether because of their religion, skin color or national origin.

Transnational
violence

Most
of the Western world –
from Switzerland and Germany to the United
States, Scandinavia and New
Zealand –
has witnessed a potent
nationalist strain infecting
society in recent years.

Driven
by fear over the loss of white primacy, white
nationalists believe
that white identity should be the organizing principle of Western
society.

“Every
people in the world can have their own country except white people,”
the American
Freedom Party’s William Daniel Johnson told
the Chicago Sun Times after the New Zealand attack. “We should have
white ethno-states.”

In
researching our upcoming book on extremism –
our joint area of academic
expertise –
we found that hate crimes have risen alongside the global spread of
white nationalism. Racist attacks on refugees,
immigrants, Muslims and Jews are
increasing worldwide at an alarming rate.

Scholars
studying the internationalization of hate crimes call this dangerous
phenomenon “violent
transnationalism.”

In
Europe, white violence appears to have been triggered by
the sudden increase, in 2015, of refugees fleeing war in Syria and
elsewhere in the Middle East.

Ultra-nationalists
across the continent – including politicians at
the highest
rungs of power –
used the influx as evidence of
the imminent “cultural
genocide”
of white people.

White
nationalism is a US export

This
disturbing international trend, in its modern incarnation, was born
in the United States.

Since
the 1970s, a small, vocal cadre of American white supremacists have
sought to export
their ideology of hate.
Avowed racists like Ku
Klux Klan wizard David Duke,
Aryan Nations founder Richard
Butler and
extremist author William
Pierce believe
the white race is under
attack worldwide by
a cultural invasion of immigrants and people of color.

The
United States is diversifying, but it remains 77
percent white.
White supremacists, however, have long contended that the
country’s demographic
changes will lead
to an extermination of the white race and culture.

The
“alt-right”
– an umbrella term describing modern online white supremacist
movement – uses the same language. And it has expanded this
20th-century xenophobic worldview to portray refugees, Muslims and
progressives as a threat, too.

Alt-right
leaders like Richard Spencer, extremist
Jared Taylor and
the Neo-Nazi Daily Stormer editor Andrew
Anglin also use
social media to share
their ideology and recruit members across
borders.

They
have found a
global audience of
white supremacists who, in turn, have also used
the internet to
share their ideas, encourage violence and broadcast
their hate crimes worldwide.

“The
hatred that led to violence in Pittsburgh and Charlottesville is
finding new adherents around the world,” Jonathan
Greenblatt of
the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a civil liberties watchdog, told USA
Today after the New Zealand attack.

“Indeed,
it appears that this attack was not just focused on New Zealand; it
was intended to have a global impact.”

Rising
racist violence

We
know the alleged New Zealand mosque shooter’s hatred of Muslims was
inspired by American white nationalism – he said
so on Twitter.

His
online “manifesto” includes references to cultural conflicts that
the author believed would eventually lead the United States to
separate along ethnic, political and racial lines.

The
alleged attacker also wrote that he
supports President Donald Trump“as
a symbol of renewed white identity.”

Trump
and other right-wing politicians like French presidential
candidate Marine Le Pen and Dutch
opposition leader Geert Wilders have blamed the
very real problems of modern life – growing economic instability,
rising inequality and industrial
decay –
on immigrants and people of color.

That
narrative has added further hostility into the existing undercurrent
of intolerance in increasingly multicultural societies like the
United States.

Hate
crimes against Muslims, immigrants and people of color have been on
the rise in the U.S. since 2014.

In
2015, the Southern
Poverty Law Center documented 892 hate crimes.
The next year, it counted 917 hate crimes. In 2017 – the year Trump
took office stoking nationalist sentiment with promises to
build walls, deport Mexicans and ban Muslims –
the U.S. saw 954 white supremacist attacks.

One
of them was a violent clash between counterprotesters and white
nationalists over the removal of a confederate
statue in Charlottesville,
Virginia. The 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, which killed one
person and injured dozens, amplified the ideas of modern white
nationalists nationally
and worldwide.

Last
year, white nationalists killed at least 50 people in the United
States. Their victims included 11
worshippers at a Pittsburgh synagogue, two
elderly black shoppers in a Kroger parking lot in
Kentucky and two
women practicing yoga in Florida.

The
years 2015, 2016 and 2018 were the United States’ deadliest years
for extremist
violence since 1970,
according to the Anti-Defamation League.

All
perpetrators of deadly extremist
violence in the U.S. in 2018 had
links to white nationalist groups. That made 2018 “a particularly
active year for right-wing extremist murders,” the Anti-Defamation
League says.

Nationalist
terror is a danger to the domestic security of the United States and,
evidence shows, a global terror threat that endangers the very nature
of global democratic society.

ziet, immers hij is zelf een nationalist en gezien veel van zijn
uitlatingen, zoals zijn haat- en angstzaaien tegen/voor vluchtelingen en de woorden van waardering die hij uitspreekt voor

Venezuela: na Trump waarschuwt Bolton Rusland weg te blijven uit westerse gebieden

Nadat
zaterdag 23 maart jl. een Russisch militair vliegtuig ongeveer
100 Russische militairen en militaire goederen afleverde in Caracas
is men in het Witte Huis volgens gebruikelijke hypocriete manier
theatraal de bol uitgegaan….. Eerst liet Trump al weten dat deze
provocatieve actie van Rusland een ernstig gevaar is voor de
‘internationale vrede’ (waar? ha! ha!) en veiligheid in de regio……

Bolton de
psychopathische adviseur van Trump, als Trump een
oorlogsmisdadiger, herhaalde deze woorden en voegde daar de waarschuwing aan toe voor partijen van buiten de westerse ‘hemisfeer’, niet te proberen een bruggenhoofd te vormen in
Venezuela of andere gebieden in het westen, daarbij uiteraard doelend
op Rusland als ‘bruggenhoofd bouwer….’ (hoewel hij met deze woorden natuurlijk ook China waarschuwt…)

Je
vraagt je werkelijk af waar de twee het gore lef vandaan halen anderen
te beschuldigen van zaken en hen daarvoor te waarschuwen, zaken die de VS bij herhaling zelf
elders doet, sterker nog: de VS heeft meer dan 800 militaire bases over de wereld en dat bepaald niet alleen in de ‘westerse hemisfeer……’ 

De VS gaat trouwens ook op ander gebied veel verder, dat middels een genocide gestolen land
voert de ene illegale oorlog na de andere en bemoeit zich met
binnenlandse aangelegenheden zonder daarvoor te zijn gevraagd, zoals
nu weer in Venezuela…… Rusland trad niet eigenhandig op in Syrië
en Venezuela, maar op uitdrukkelijke vraag van het bevoegde gezag in
die landen, want wat de VS ook vindt en zegt over die landen, het
zijn en blijven soevereine landen waar de VS niets, maar dan ook
helemaal niets te zoeken heeft…..

Het is
maar goed dat de Trump administratie niet in Moskou is gevestigd,
immers dan hadden we al lang en breed in WOIII gezeten, gezien de
westerse agressie langs de grenzen met Rusland, een plek waar de VS, noch haar oorlogshond de NAVO, iets te zoeken hebben, zoals blijkt
uit een overeenkomst in 1991 gesloten met Michail Gorbatsjov, de ex-president van de Sovjet Unie… Dit alles terwijl Rusland niet eens hetzelfde doet langs de grenzen van de VS……. (mocht Rusland hetzelfde proberen langs de grens van de VS >> het land zou te klein zijn voor de verontwaardiging en hysterie die dit zou oproepen, zie het voorbeeld daarvan: de Cubacrisis in 1962…… de link is naar dat onderdeel op Wikipedia, dus let op, daar deze site tegenwoordig deels is afgeladen met niet te corrigeren onzin…)

Tot slot nog dit: als er één land is dat zelfs de wereldvrede bedreigt en overal waar het illegaal ingrijpt dood en verderf zaait, is het de VS wel, of het nu gaat om de westerse of oosterse hemisfeer….. 

De VS is verreweg de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde en heeft vanaf WOII tot nu toe al meer dan 22,5 miljoen mensen vermoord in illegale oorlogen; geheime militaire acties onder bevel van de CIA; het organiseren van opstanden in meerdere buiten landen; voorts vielen de doden bijstaatsgrepen gepleegd door de CIA en bij standrechtelijke executies van verdachten, nu vooral gedaan middels drones…..* Veel van de hiervoor genoemde VS terreur werd NB uitgeoefend in Latijns-Amerika…….

Venezuela

The
White House has dramatically stepped up its rhetoric threatening
action against Russia’s military presence in Venezuela after the
Kremlin deployed a troop contingency to Caracas last Saturday.

Trump’s
national security adviser John Bolton took tensions to a new level,
on Friday issuing a new Monroe doctrine of sorts, telling Moscow any
attempt to establish or expand military
operations in
the western hemisphere constitutes a “provocative” and
“direct threat” to
international peace and security in the region.


Russia
sent two planes with dozens of soldiers and military advisers to
Venezuela’s capital last weekend, via Reuters.

“We
strongly caution
actors external to the Western Hemisphere against
deploying military assets to Venezuela, or elsewhere in the
Hemisphere, with the intent of establishing or expanding military
operations,” Bolton said in a
statement.

“We
will consider such provocative actions as a direct threat to
international peace and security in the region,” he added.
This follows the president’s own warning on Wednesday that “all
options” are on the table regarding
potential expanding Russian presence in Venezuela. 

Two
Russian aircraft carrying about 100 servicemen and 35 tons of cargo
arrived in Caracas last Saturday, led by Russian General Vasily
Tonkoshkurov, identified as chief of the Main Staff of the Ground
Forces and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces of
Russia.

This
prompted Trump’s Wednesday warning to Russia against
involvement in the Latin American nation; he told reporters in
the Oval Office that:

“Russia
has to get out.”

Kremlin
officials responded by explaining that it deployed military
specialists merely
to service preexisting arms contracts with
Venezuela, and that Russia is not interfering in the Latin American
country’s internal affairs. 


Russian
Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a
press briefing on Thursday when
asked how long the Russian troop contingency led by a high ranking
general will stay: 

“How
long? As long as they need to, and
as long as the Venezuelan government needs them. It all is being done
based on bilateral agreements.”

Russia’s
position is that it is not interfering in Venezuela’s internal
affairs by merely cooperating on legal and existing service
contracts, and that no other country should do so either. It said
that only “specialists” had
entered Venezuela under a pre-existing agreed upon military
cooperation deal. 

However,
the White House isn’t buying it, as Bolton’s Friday statement
further condemned Maduro’s “use of foreign military personnel in
his attempt to remain in power, including the introduction of Russian
military personnel and equipment into Venezuela.”


“Maduro
will only use this military support to further repress the people of
Venezuela; perpetuate the economic crisis that has destroyed
Venezuela’s economy; and endanger regional stability,” Bolton said. 

All
of this also comes as the Maduro government stripped US-backed
opposition leader Juan Guaido of his position in the National
Assembly, further barring
him from holding
public office for 15 years.

Orkaan
Maria trof in september 2017 o.a. Puerto Rico. Vanaf het begin gaf de
VS veel te weinig hulp, Trump bemoeide zich ermee en hielp een paar
vrienden aan het contract om de stroomvoorziening op het eiland weer
aan de gang te krijgen, een bedrijf dat totaal niet was berekend op
een dergelijke grote opdracht, gevolg: nog steeds zijn er energietekorten op het eiland….

Intussen
zijn we 1,5 jaar verder en nog steeds leeft het overgrote deel van de
bevolking in diepe ellende en is men afhankelijk van
voedselbonnen….. In de hulp middels die bonnen is door de Trump
administratie het mes gezet….. Ja ik weet het, werkelijk
ongelofelijk en in feite een doodvonnis voor mensen met een zwakke
gezondheid…..

Puerto
Ricanen werden al behandeld als derde klas mensen, daar ze ondanks
dat Puerto Rico een staat van de VS is, ze niet mogen stemmen voor
bijvoorbeeld de presidentsverkiezingen in de VS…..

Het
beest Trump, godbetert president van de VS, stelt dat Puerto Rico 91
miljard dollar aan hulp heeft ontvangen; hoe hij aan dat bedrag komt
is voor deskundigen een raadsel…… Volgens Trump kan met dat bedrag heel Puerto Rico 4 keer worden gekocht……. Trump stelt daarom dat Puerto
Rico veel meer geld ontvangt dan elke andere VS staat na een
natuurramp, uiteraard zonder erop te wijzen dat een orkaan die vanuit
zee direct over een eiland raast, veel meer schade kan aanrichten,
dan een orkaan die bij het vaste land ‘aan land gaat…’  

Het Witte Huis heeft het mes gezet in de voedselhulp, terwijl de Porto Ricanen door tegenwerking van datzelfde Witte Huis en de Republikeinse Partij blijvend in grote ellende moeten leven……. 

Het is
duidelijk dat de Puerto Ricanen wat betreft racist Trump en zijn waanzinnige terreuradministratie letterlijk
kunnen doodvallen….

Nederland
hoeft zich trouwens niet op de borst te kloppen, daar de hulp voor
Sint Maarten na orkaan Irma totaal onvoldoende was.
Beroepsleugenaar Rutte bezocht halverwege vorig jaar o.a. Sint
Maarten (een maand of acht nadat orkaan Irma het eiland trof) en had destijds het gore lef
te stellen dat Sint Maarten niet klaar was voor het nieuwe orkaan
seizoen….* Dit was en is de schuld van NB Ruttes eigen kabinet dat
weigerde hulp te verlenen zolang de zittende regering van Sint
Maarten op haar plaats bleef, ronduit uitermate smerige chantage waar het al getroffen volk extra werd geraakt……

Nadat de
regering van Sint Maarten aftrad, kregen de bewoners eindelijk hulp,
niet in de vorm van degelijke, orkaanbestendige bouw op het eiland,
nee middels bonnen voor materialen uit doe het zelf winkels, waarmee de mensen hun
huis weer konden opbouwen, echter zonder de kennis en het materiaal
waarmee een huis orkaanbestendig kan worden herbouwd……. Moet je
nagaan: de Antillen worden keer op keer getroffen door orkanen die
door de klimaatverandering steeds heviger worden en de enige huizen
die orkaanbestendig zijn, zijn voor het overgrote deel in handen van

(CD) — With
over a million U.S. citizens in Puerto Rico facing devastating
food stamp cuts as
Congress fails to provide necessary hurricane relief funding,
President Donald Trump reportedly
complained to
Republican senators on Tuesday that the island is receiving “too
much” aid—a position that was decried as both false and cruel.

“The
president continues to show his vindictive behavior towards Puerto
Rico and he continues to make the humanitarian crisis
worse,” said San
Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz. “He is ensuring that people don’t
have food to put on the table.”

Trump’s
remarks came during a private lunch with Republicans Tuesday, during
which—according
to
the Washington
Post—the
president inflated
the amount of aid Puerto
Rico has received since Hurricane Maria and pushed lawmakers to limit
funding to the island.

“At
the lunch Tuesday, Trump rattled off the amount of aid that had been
designated for other disaster-hit states and compared it with the
amount allocated for Puerto Rico following the 2017 hurricane, which
he said was too high,” the Post reported.

After
claiming that Puerto Rico has received $91 billion in federal aid—it
is unclear where he got this number—Trump
reportedly said “one could buy Puerto Rico four times over for $91
billion.”

Puerto
Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló responded with outrage to Trump’s
reported comments in a statement late
Tuesday.

“People
from all over the nation, and the world, have witnessed the
inequalities Americans face on the island,” Rosselló said. “The
federal response and its treatment during these past months in the
aftermath of Hurricane Maria is clear evidence of our second-class
citizenship.”

“Mr.
President: Enough with the insults and demeaning characterizations,”
he added. “We are not asking for anything more than any other U.S.
state has received. We are merely asking for equality.”

Trump’s
complaint about aid to the storm-ravaged island comes as an estimated
1.3 million Puerto
Ricans—including hundreds
of thousands of children and elderly people—have
had life-saving food aid cut amid inaction and obstruction from the
White House and congressional Republicans.

“We
just don’t have the money right now,” said Myrna
Izquierdo, an administrator at a Puerto Rican health clinic that
relies on food stamp funding. “It’s very hard. It is so unfair.
That cut is going to kill us.”

Puerto Rico faces food stamps crisis as Trump privately vents about federal aid to Hurricane…

While Congress delays food stamp funding, impoverished Puerto Rico residents have already started cutting back.

Late
Tuesday afternoon, the Senate advanced a disaster relief bill that
Democrats said is far from adequate to address the crises in Puerto
Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. According to one
study,
the storm may have killed nearly 6,000 people.

“The
lack of leadership and coordination, combined with delays in meeting
the basic needs of the island, more than 18 months after receiving a
presidential disaster declaration, has left far too many children and
elderly citizens in unhealthy and unsafe conditions, families in
severely damaged homes and communities without adequate
infrastructure to sustain a decent quality of life,” Sens. Patrick
Leahy (D-Vt.) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) wrote in a letter to
the White House on Tuesday.

Despite
the island’s dire situation, Trump has reportedly
said that
he “doesn’t want another single dollar going to the island.”

“Puerto
Rico is in dire need of increased food assistance funding,” Sen.
Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) wrote on
Twitter this week. “It’s unconscionable that we’ve allowed our
fellow Americans to suffer for so long without the full resources of
the U.S. government. We must act now to end this crisis.”

Naar
aanleiding van een Twitterbericht dat Tulsi Gabbard de wereld
instuurde en waarin zij stelt dat kortzichtige politici en hun hulp
in de massamedia, de laatste 2 jaar bezig zijn geweest Trump neer te
zetten als een marionet van Putin, schreef Caitlin Johnstone het hieronder opgenomen artikel….. 

Van Russiagate is intussen geen spaan meer heel, zoveel is wel duidelijk uit de rapportage van Mueller (die nog steeds niet helemaal openbaar is gemaakt), waar de hysterie over ‘Russische manipulaties’ ervoor hebben gezorgd dat de nieuwe koude oorlog verder is opgetuigd, met de daarmee gepaard gaande
peperdure wapenrace en inperking van de privacy, plus censuur op het internet…… Let wel die censuur en inperking van de privacy werden en worden doorgevoerd in zogenaamde westerse democratieën, terwijl dat soort maatregelen ‘thuishoren’ in een dictatuur…..

Gabbard
voegde aan haar Twitterbericht toe dat Trump er alles aan heeft gedaan niet langer te
worden gezien als marionet van Putin, juist door een veel harder
beleid tegen Rusland te voeren, waarbij hij zelfs de kans op een
kernoorlog niet uit de weg is gegaan en zo’n oorlog nog steeds niet uitsluit……

In het Twitterbericht van Gabbard is ‘geen woord Spaans’ opgenomen, bovendien een
waarheid als een koe! Echter de reacties op dit bericht waren niet
misselijk. Gabbard wordt figuurlijk afgemaakt door die massamedia,
politici en opiniemakers van diverse rechtse denktanks……. (de laatste zijn in de VS altijd rechts, ‘maar goed..’)

Zoals gezegd: Caitlin
Johnstone publiceerde op haar site het hieronder opgenomen artikel en
als conclusie stelt ze dat de welgestelden niet voor niets zoveel
geld steken in het beheren van de media, immers als je de
media beheerst, beheers je en regisseer je het denkbeeld dat bij het volk leeft…… 

Plutocraten beheersen de westerse: -media, -politici en -denktanks, zij hebben
belang bij de huidige inhumane neoliberale status quo, ja zelfs bij
de nieuwe koude oorlog en alle andere illegale oorlogen die de VS
voert, immers dit geteisem heeft veel aandelen in de wapenindustrie, waaronder ik
ook de fabrikanten reken die rollend, varend en vliegend
oorlogstuig produceren, een industrie die zoals je begrijpt baat heeft bij zoveel mogelijk oorlog en spanningen in de wereld……

Gezien
het voorgaande kan je dan ook stellen dat elke claim vals is die de VS maakt
als het weer een illegale oorlog voert, of als het een opstand dan
wel coup organiseert en regisseert, de claim dat dit is om democratie te
brengen en een bloedige dictator af te zetten…… In werkelijkheid heeft VS schijt aan democratie en bloedige
dictators, zolang het bewuste land maar de hielen van de VS likt, VS bedrijven toelaat en
in de VS grote ‘defensie orders’ plaatst…. Sterker nog: de VS steunt een aantal dictators, niet in de laatste plaats de reli-fascistische dictaturen van het Midden-Oosten…. (Saoedi-Arabië, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten >> VAE, Egypte en buiten het Midden-Oosten: Marokko)

Intussen is bekend dat Mueller de hele Russiagate leugen heeft afgeschoten, daar er geen bewijs voor is te vinden….. Met Russiagate werd zoals gezegd niet alleen de vrijheid van meningsuiting zwaar geweld aangedaan middels censuur op het internet, maar werd ook de Koude Oorlog 2.0 opgetuigd….. 

Aan het voorgaande hebben de reguliere media grote steun verleend, met een enorme berg aan fake news (nepnieuws), waarvoor deze media niet worden gestraft middels de al eerder genoemde censuur, hoewel de bewijzen daarvoor letterlijk voor het oprapen liggen…… Waar sociale media die aantoonbaar echt nieuws brengen, worden afgemaakt in die reguliere westerse media en door de westerse politiek en ze worden geblokkeerd op Facebook en Twitter……..

Last
month I published
an essay about
the importance of understanding the difference between fact and
narrative, and I just want to quickly highlight a perfect
illustration of this importance in a controversy arising from
a recent
Tulsi Gabbard tweet.
The tweet reads as follows:

“Short-sighted
politicians & media pundits who’ve spent last 2 years accusing
Trump as a Putin puppet have brought us the expensive new Cold War &
arms race. How? Because Trump now does everything he can to prove
he’s not Putin’s puppet—even if it brings us closer to nuclear
war.”

Now,
all the facts say that Gabbard’s claim that Trump has been bringing
the world closer to nuclear war with Russia is indisputably true. It
is perhaps possible to dispute the notion that Trump has escalated
tensions with Russia to try and “prove he’s not Putin’s
puppet”; maybe an argument could be made that he’s simply
reckless and violent or that he’s particularly beholden to cold war
profiteers, or that despite all his rhetoric he just really, really
hates Russia for some reason. But it is absolutely not disputable
that Trump has greatly escalated tensions with a nuclear superpower
by implementing a Nuclear Posture


Review
with a much
more aggressive stance against Russia, withdrawing
from the INF treaty,
bombing and illegally occupying Syria, arming Ukraine, staging a coup
in Venezuela, and many,
many other hawkish actions taken
against the interests of the Russian Federation which his predecessor
Obama never dared to take.

facts are all well documented in the mainstream press and are
entirely beyond dispute. The facts say that Donald Trump has
escalated nuclear tensions with Russia more than any other president
since the fall of the Berlin Wall. But if you go
to Gabbard’s tweet and
read the responses right now, you’ll find thousands and thousands of

Democratic
establishment loyalists calling her a liar for saying so.

“Gabbard
staking out a bold ‘Trump is *too* tough on Putin’ lane in the
Democratic primary,” tweeted former
NSA attorney Susan Hennessey of CNN and the Brookings Institution.
“As predictable as it is absurd.”

“Tulsi
Gabbard’s is the only Twitter account other than Trump’s that I
routinely have to check to make sure it’s actually hers, because
the tweet is so absurdly ridiculous,” tweeted #Resistance
pundit John Aravosis. “Now she’s defending Trump on Russia.
Why is she a Democrat? And she’s actually using Kremlin
talking points (nuclear war!). Unbelievable.”

“Tulsi,
you aren’t the first American politician to cozy up to foreign
dictators and to serve as a Putin mouthpiece,” tweeted former
CIA officer Evan McMullin. “While you, Putin and Trump fear
monger about nuclear war, we’ll protect our democracy and hold
corrupted politicians accountable.”

There
are many, many more, but you get the picture. The deluge of responses
to Gabbard’s undeniably true statement about Trump’s dangerous
escalations against a nuclear superpower are largely predicated on
two assumptions: (1) that Trump has not in fact made the escalations
that he has made, and (2) that the danger of nuclear war is not a
real or significant thing. These are both, obviously, bat shit
insane.

The
primary risk of nuclear war is not that one will be planned out and
deliberately started in an attempt to win, but that a warhead will be
deployed amid the chaos of escalating tensions as a result of
miscommunication, misunderstanding or technical failure, as nearly
happened on
more than one occasion during
the last cold war. Once one nuclear weapon has been deployed in an
already tense situation, it’s unlikely that the full arsenals of both
sides won’t be unleashed upon each other. As journalist Glenn
Greenwald pointed
out in
response to the uproar over Gabbard’s tweet, “The Bulletin of
Atomic Scientists’ doomsday clock is at 2
minutes before midnight.
By far its two greatest threats to *humanity’s existence* are climate
change & US/Russia nuclear war. Yes, how crazy and treasonous to
want to avoid ratcheting up tensions.”

The
US and Russia are by
an immensely wide margin the
two biggest nuclear powers on the planet, which makes for a lot of
small, unpredictable moving parts with mounting tensions steadily
increasing the probability of something going catastrophically wrong.


Dismissing
a congresswoman’s attempt to point at this potentially world-ending
risk as a “Kremlin talking point” is about the stupidest,
craziest thing that a human brain could possibly come up with.

yet here we are.

Twenty-nine years after the end of the Cold War, the world’s combined stockpiles of nuclear weapons remain at unacceptably high levels.

So
what’s up with that? Why is an indisputably true claim about an
indisputably real danger being treated as a lie by Democratic Party
loyalists, even though it attacks the same president they themselves
claim to oppose?

The
answer is because it doesn’t fit the narrative. A consensus has been
built over the last two years that Trump is a Kremlin puppet, so the
indisputable fact that his administration is endangering the life of
every organism on this planet by escalating tensions with Russia
looks like a lie against that backdrop. The facts say one thing, the
narrative says another, and they go with the narrative. For most
people, narrative takes precedence over fact.

And
what’s interesting is that these same facts could have remained
exactly as they are and allowed the exact opposite narrative to be
constructed. If her plutocratic owners had wished it, Rachel Maddow
would have spent every night over the last two years warning everyone
that Donald Trump is taking dangerous actions against Russia that
threaten to wipe all life off the face of the earth, and it would
have worked. If Trump had continued making these escalations in our
hypothetical alternate timeline while the mass media was constantly
selling the “Trump’s going to get us all killed in a nuclear war
with Russia” narrative, all the same blue-checkmarked Twitter
pundits you see yelling at Tulsi Gabbard today would be yelling about
the dangers of nuclear war in our alternate timeline.

Narrative
really is that powerful. You see it in the behavior of social media
users, you see it in the behavior of governments, you see it in
religions, and you see it in abusive relationships which continue
because of the narrative “He’s a good guy underneath it all and
he really loves me” even though the facts say “He beats you
and cheats on you all the time.” If you can control the stories
that people tell themselves about a given situation, then you control
those people on all matters pertaining to that situation. Regardless
of facts.

Which
is why the plutocratic class funnels so much money into buying up
media influence, funding think tanks, and other means of narrative
control: if you can control the narrative, no amount of facts will
deter the mainstream public from going along with your agendas. This
is why the behaviors of governments so consistently move in alignment
with the interests of this same media-buying, think tank-funding,
politician-owning plutocratic class. Whoever controls the narrative
controls the world.

Israël ‘aangevallen’ met raket >> Hamas verdacht

De westerse media stonden vanmorgen (en dat duurt voort) bol van een raketaanval die Hamas volgens Israël zou hebben afgeschoten, de hysterie was m.n. zo groot daar deze raket een veel groter bereik had dan eerdere door Hamas afgeschoten ‘raketten’. (zo meer daarover)

Zelfs in de nieuwsberichten in Nederland, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië werd veel ruimte ingelast voor deze ‘vreselijke aanval’. Een aanval die een huis zou hebben beschadigd en waarbij 7 Israëliërs gewond raakten…… Voorts in de actualiteitenrubrieken overdreven veel aandacht voor deze raketinslag…..

Wekelijks vermoorden Israëlische militairen en scherpschutters van het Israëlische leger (‘echte helden’) ongewapende demonstranten, die NB aan hun kant van de Israëlische grens met de Gazastrook demonstreren tegen het feit dat zij opgesloten zitten in een wat je niet anders kan zien dan een enorm getto, het best te vergelijken met het getto van Warschau tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog…….

De reguliere media besteedden en besteden weinig, maar vooral geen aandacht aan deze massamoorden, echter als er een raket op een Israëlisch huis landt en 7 (Joodse) gewonden maakt, zijn de rapen gaar…… Terwijl meer dan driekwart van de Gazastrook aan stukken is gebombardeerd door Israël en het aantal door Israël vermoordde Palestijnen sinds 1948, het jaar waarop de illegale stichting van Israël plaatsvond, al lang niet meer is te tellen, dat getal moet de vijftigduizend al te boven zijn gegaan……..

Hamas, dat normaal een geslaagde raketaanval claimt (zeker als zo’n veredelde vuurpijl in de buurt van huizen terechtkomt), stelt niets met deze aanval te maken te hebben, wat dat betreft zou je zelfs aan een ‘false flag’ operatie kunnen denken…… (false flag operatie: bijvoorbeeld een aanslag plegen en deze in de schoenen van een andere partij schuiven zodat je militair geweld kan inzetten tegen die partij, vooral de VS is daar goed in…..)

Niet zo’n vreemde gedachte zo’n false flag operatie, daar de uiterst corrupte Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu geheel ‘toevallig’ op bezoek is in de VS en meteen zijn reis heeft afgebroken om zelf de aanstaande acties tegen openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook te kunnen begeleiden……. Met veel ophef sprak deze oorlogsmisdadiger de pers in de VS toe….. Reken maar dat Trump Netanyahu daarvoor al heeft verzekerd van VS-steun en dat een nieuwe massamoord door Israël niet veroordeeld zal worden door de VS, ofwel Netanyahu heeft een carte blanche gekregen voor grootschalige terreur tegen het machteloze Palestijnse volk in de Gazastrook……

De voorbereidingen zijn al bezig en intussen heeft Israël de 2 grensovergangen van Israël met de Gazastrook gesloten, overgangen nodig voor het kunnen aanvoeren van humanitaire hulpgoederen (waaronder medicijnen) en eerste levensbehoeften als water enz. Verder trekt het Israëlische leger zich samen voor de grens met de Gazastrook…….

Hoe is het mogelijk dat de reguliere westerse (massa-) media geen aandacht besteden aan de voortdurende massamoord op Palestijnen door Israël tijdens The Great Return March protesten, maar als er 7 Israëliërs gewond raken staat men op de kop, zelfs bij zogenaamde onafhankelijke nieuwsorganen als de NOS en haar correspondent Arlene Gelderblom……

Gelderblom is de zionistische correspondent van de NOS in Israël, die vanmorgen na het Radio1 nieuws van 9.00 u. zo ongeveer het hele relaas van het Israëlische leger voorlas…… Zo stelde ze onder meer dat er nog geen reactie was uit de Gazastrook, terwijl de BBC daarvoor al meldde dat Hamas stelt dat de aanval niet door leden van haar organisatie werd uitgevoerd…… 

Ook wist Gelderblom te melden dat de top van Hamas zou zijn ondergedoken, informatie van het Israëlische leger, ofwel: ‘ondergedoken, dus het is duidelijk dat Hamas het heeft gedaan…..’ Het Israëlische leger valt deze top van Hamas altijd aan nadat er veredelde vuurpijlen landen op het gestolen Israëlische grondgebied, niet vreemd dus dat deze top zich uit de voeten maakt…… (het Israëlisch leger en de geheime diensten van Israël vallen de top van organisaties als Hamas trouwens ook aan zonder verdere aanleiding daarvoor….)

Trump dreigt met paramilitair geweld in de VS

Het is
het beest Trump nu geheel en al in de bolle kop geslagen, de hufter
durfde 13 maart jl. in een interview voor Breitbart te zeggen dat hij het leger, de politie en motorbendes aan zijn kant staan, maar dat ze gelukkig (nog) geen geweld plegen…..* (motorbendes: je weet, wel van die
gewelddadig misdadige ‘volwassen’ jongens met veel te grote brommers en oude
stinkauto’s) Met andere woorden: als Trump z’n zin niet krijg, of men probeert hem af te zetten, is dat nog lang
geen gelopen race, sterker nog die race zal niet eens van start
gaan……

In feite
dreigt Trump met een burgeroorlog mocht men hem proberen af te zetten, met de lullige toevoeging dat hij
aan de sterke kant zal staan met paramilitaire troepen om zijn
tegenstanders op te pakken, dan wel te vermoorden…..

Ben het
overigens niet eens met wat Sasha Abramsky, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, zegt over Putin: Rusland zit
toch echt nog voor het stadium van een totale dictatuur. Bovendien
hebben we aan Putin te danken dat het in Syrië niet volledig uit de
hand is gelopen, wat betreft de andere wereldmacht, of beter gezegd
terreurentiteit VS. Eén ding is zeker als Trump, of noem nog maar wat
VS presidenten, op de plek van Putin hadden gezeten met hun
administratie, waren we waarschijnlijk al in een wereldoorlog
verwikkeld geweest >> WOIII…..

Steve
King, een (fascistisch) ideologische partner van Trump en witte nationalistische
ploert, hield vorige maand zijn volgers een cartoon voor en gaf ze de
boodschap mee dat een burgeroorlog mogelijk is en dat dit een feest
zou zijn voor conservatieven wapenfanaten, ‘een feest’ om slappe
liberalen, ‘die niet weten welk toilet ze moeten gebruiken’, neer te
schieten…..

Zoals gezegd: Abramsky is de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel dat o.a. verscheen op Information Clearing House (ICH). Hij haalt het
verleden erbij, o.a. de SA van Hitler, paramilitairen die
tekeergingen tegen Joden, homo’s, of beter gezegd wat we
tegenwoordig Lgbt mensen noemen, maar ook tegen Roma, Sinti en linkse
tegenstanders…….

Het feit
dat Trump met paramilitaire acties dreigt is uiteraard te zot voor
woorden, hiervoor zou hij afgezet moeten worden, niet voor het
sprookje dat men Russiagate is gaan noemen, maar waarvoor niet één
nanometer bewijs is gevonden, zelfs niet na 2 jaar diepgravend
onderzoek…….. (nieuws van deze dag: aanklager Mueller adviseert de zaak verder te laten rusten, ofwel hij heeft nul komma nada bewijzen voor Russiagate gevonden!)

Beste
bezoeker, nog even dit: lullig misschien, maar wat mij betreft mag de
pleuris uitbreken in de VS en wel zo erg dat het leger uit andere
landen moet worden teruggetrokken, kan de wereld eindelijk een
ademhalen, zonder de hete ‘bloedige adem’ van de grootste terreurentiteit op
aarde in de nek te voelen…….

Clearing House” – This has been one of those whiplash
weeks where so many particularly monstrous words have emanated from
Donald Trump’s mouth and Twitter-fingers that it becomes almost
dizzying.


Where
to focus my outrage? Should I be most concerned about the fact that
the supposed “leader of the free world” stumbled through a series
of non-answers when asked about the growing threat of white
nationalism in the wake of the grotesque
massacre of
scores of Muslims in New Zealand? Or the fact that last weekend,
instead of tweeting sympathy to the victims of that massacre, Trump
chose instead to tweet out insults and lies about
a dead senator?
Or the fact that he threatened to
sic the Federal Communications Commission onto a comedy show he
didn’t like, while at the same time stepping
into the editorial fray to
urge Fox
News to
stand behind two particularly noxious commentators whom he does like?


All
these are bad, but none is as bloody awful as his musings
on unleashing paramilitary violence if
things go too wrong for him in the political arena. In his trademark
“I didn’t say it” way, Trump talked in a March
13 Breitbart interview
about how he had the
police, the military and the biker gangs in his corner —
and how wonderful it was that they weren’t violent … for now; the
clear nudge, nudge, wink, wink, subtext being that all he would have
to do is give a signal, and his armed proxies would go after his
enemies. A few days later, white nationalist Rep. Steve King, one of
Trump’s closest ideological soulmates on Capitol Hill, forwarded
to his followers a
cartoon about the possibility of a modern-day U.S. civil war, and how
gun-toting conservatives would have a field day shooting down
wishy-washy liberals who couldn’t even work out what public
bathrooms they wanted to use.

None
of this stuff is remotely funny, and it has no place in a functioning
democracy. Of course, many U.S. politicians in the past have called
out the hard-hat brigade when it suited them; segregationist Southern
governors during the civil rights struggle routinely stoked white mob
violence in an effort to block reforms. In 1968, Chicago Mayor
Richard Daley unleashed
the police against anti-war protesters with
the intent of busting open as many heads as possible. In the Tammany
Hall days, machine politicians weren’t averse to making unholy
alliances with street gangs. More recently, demagogues from Louisiana
politician Huey Long to Red Scare architect Joe McCarthy have
all-too-well understood the power of the crowd and the potency of the
threat of political violence in an already combustible situation.


But
for the most part, presidents have tended to stay away from such a
dark and dangerous path. They have done so not necessarily because of
moral scruples, but out of an awareness of the ferocious (and
ultimately uncontainable) forces that can be unleashed when a person
with the power and reach of the president of the United States
abandons all pretext of democratic governance; of respect for the
rule of law; and of an understanding that the game of politics has to
be bound by a set of rules or else it will degenerate into strong-man
rule, and, eventually, the unfathomable horror of civil conflict.


Trump
has, since he first announced his candidacy back in 2015, shown
little patience for the limits, the nuance and the necessity of
compromise that constitutional governance necessitates. He has, from
the get-go, shown himself temperamentally to be an autocrat, a man
with dictatorial ambitions who is far more comfortable in the
presence of rulers such as Russian President Vladimir Putin, Saudi
Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro,
than democratic leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel or
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Over the last two years, the
Trump regime — and it is far
more a regime than an administration — has bent the GOP firmly to
his will on this.


Were
Trump’s outrageous comments about biker gangs and military
intervention in domestic politics just the random utterances of an
egocentric authoritarian, things would be grim enough. But over the
last two years, various GOP organizations around the country
have invited
white supremacist groups including
the Three
Percenters,
the Oath
Keepersand
the Proud
Boys to
either provide “security” at their rallies or to “spice up”
their events with speakers who advocate violence. All of these groups
are paramilitaries-in-the-making; all are — or at least were before
being brought into the mainstream by Trumpite Republicans — on the
far margins of the political process, their worldview more closely
aligned with fascist visions of society than with what passed as GOP
mainstream beliefs in the pre-Trump era.


Over
these last few years, the GOP has increasingly come to resemble a
political party whose raison
d’étre is
simply to nurture the cult of the personality around Trump rather
than to contribute anything genuinely resembling ideas into the
political discourse; a political party willing to embrace the most
violent and thuggish elements for partisan advantage. The scale of
this degeneration was on display last month, when Florida Rep. Matt
Gaetz publicly threatened congressional witness and former Trump
attorney Michael Cohen, and then blithely
claimed he
was just contributing to “the marketplace of ideas.”


Let’s
be real. Publicly blackmailing a witness is no more about “the
marketplace of ideas” than a mobster’s threat to make someone
“sleep with the fishes” if they cooperate with the police. Using
the presidential bully pulpit to goad an already angry and wrathful
“base” to consider violence against political opponents is,
again, no more simply part of the democratic rough and tumble, the
contest for hearts and minds, than would be the burning of a cross on
the lawn of a perceived enemy.


Unfortunately,
history is littered with examples of power-hungry rulers turning to
paramilitary violence when it was politically expedient. The
Sturmabteilung (SA) were the backbone of early Nazi power in Germany.
Their sadistic foot soldiers were unleashed against Jews, trade
unionists, communists, LGBTQ folks, independent journalists, artists,
academics and so on. In Latin America, paramilitaries were
instrumental in the dirty wars that decimated a generation of
progressives. Elsewhere, paramilitaries have been turned to in recent
times by leaders such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as
well as by genocidal leaders such as those in Rwanda and in the
Balkan states in the early 1990s.


In
his powerful essay, “In Defense of the Word,” written during a
decade when most of Latin America had fallen to dictators backed up
by paramilitary forces, the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano wrote
that the combination of authoritarian leaders and armed militias had
paved the way for “the development of methods of torture,
techniques for assassinating people and ideas, for the cultivation of
silence, the extension of impotence, and the sowing of fear.”


We
think we are different; we are, after all, Americans, and in the
U.S., we say to ourselves with a healthy dose of hubris, that we
don’t do things that way. But how different are we really? How thin
is our veneer? How vulnerable are we to the siren calls of political
violence issued from the biggest dais on Earth and amplified by the
instruments of social media?


Trump
and his acolytes are now truly playing with fire. The more Trump’s
legal woes mount up, the more he seems willing to embrace his
own Götterdämmerung vision,
a willingness to create maximum chaos simply to insulate himself from
justice.


In
an essay titled “Fascism in Latin America,” Galeano observed
that, “In the slaughterhouses of human flesh, the hangmen hummed
patriotic songs.” Trump, with his musings about the army, the
police, the biker gangs, his literal hugging of the flag at the
Conservative Political Action Conference, and his repeated conflation
of dissent with treason, is humming loud and clear these days.

Het
hieronder opgenomen artikel werd geschreven door Christina Leza,
‘taal antropoloog’ en eerder gepubliceerd op The Conversation. Leza
betoogt volkomen terecht dat de oorspronkelijke bevolking van de VS
en Mexico, ‘indianen’, het slachtoffer zijn van getrokken grenzen en dat in grotere mate als Trump zijn zin krijgt en de hele grens met Mexico
afgeschermd zal worden middels een ‘border wall….’

De grens
tussen de VS en Mexico is voor deze oorspronkelijke volkeren een denkbeeldige,
een grens getrokken door de witte kolonisten en hun nazaten, die deze volkeren met een genocide voor
een groot deel hebben uitgemoord……. De stamverbanden in het zuiden
van de VS en het noorden van Mexico gaan ver over beide grenzen…..

Voor hun
ceremonies zijn de mensen van deze volkeren aangewezen op stammen die over de grens leven en een groot aantal van deze mensen zijn zelfs voor de eerste levensbehoeften aangewezen op winkels over de grens…. Zo is een
bepaald deel van een stam in Mexico voor de boodschappen afhankelijk
van de dichtstbijzijnde plaats, in de VS…… Een veeboer van de O’odham nation moet voor het water dat hij nodig heeft, normaal gesproken op gezichtsafstand, nu mijlen ver omrijden om daar bij te kunnen……. (hetzelfde maken Palestijnen mee op de illegaal door Israël bezette West Bank, hoewel bijvoorbeeld veel boeren daar hun land in het geheel niet meer kunnen bereiken……)

Bij de
grensovergangen worden deze mensen niet zelden getreiterd door
grenswachten en het is altijd weer afwachten of ze wel doorgelaten
zullen worden, zo twijfelt dit leeghoofdige psychopathische geteisem
aan het feit of ze wel echt tot een stam van ‘indianen’ behoren en
moeten ze dit aantonen door in hun eigen taal te spreken, of zelfs te
zingen, bij weigering kunnen ze worden geweigerd…….

Zoals
gezegd de witte kolonisten hebben deze oorspronkelijke volkeren bijna
uitgemoord (in heel Amerika, de grootste genocide ooit….) en nog
dagelijks worden deze mensen op alle mogelijke manieren dwars
gezeten, neem ook de aanleg van oliepijpleidingen, die op zeker gaan lekken door rivieren en over voor deze mensen heilige
gronden…… (een paar van die enorme en lange leidingen lekken al en dat binnen een jaar na in gebruik te zijn genomen…..)

Kortom de VS, de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde, oefent niet
alleen grootschalige terreur uit in verre landen, maar ook in eigen
land, want een dergelijke behandeling, als bij de Israëlische
blokkades op door hen illegaal bezette West Bank, kan je niet anders
dan als terreur zien…….

(CONVERSATION) — Immigration
restrictions were making life difficult for Native Americans who live
along – and across – the U.S.-Mexico border even before President
Donald Trump declared
a national emergency to
build his border wall.

The
traditional homelands of 36 federally
recognized tribes –
including the Kumeyaay, Pai, Cocopah, O’odham, Yaqui, Apache and
Kickapoo peoples – were split in two by the 1848
Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and
1853 Gadsden
Purchase,
which carved modern-day California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas out
of northern Mexico.

Today,
tens of thousands of people belonging to U.S. Native tribes live in
the Mexican states of Baja
California, Sonora, Coahuila and Chihuahua,
my research estimates. The Mexican government does not recognize
indigenous peoples in Mexico as nations as the U.S. does, so there is
no enrollment system there.

Still,
many Native people in Mexico routinely cross the U.S.-Mexico border
to participate in cultural events, visit religious sites, attend
burials, go to school or visit family. Like other “non-resident
aliens,” they must pass through rigorous
security checkpoints,
where they are subject to interrogation, inspection and rejection
or delay.

Many
Native Americans I’ve interviewed for anthropological
research on indigenous activism call
the U.S.-Mexico border “the imaginary line” – an invisible
boundary created by colonial powers that claim
sovereign indigenous territories as
their own.

A border
wall would further separate Native peoples from
friends, relatives and tribal resources that span the U.S.-Mexico
border.

Homelands
divided

Tribal
members say that many Native Americans in the U.S. feel detached from
their relatives in Mexico.

“The
effect of a wall is already in us,” Mike Wilson, a member of the
Tohono O’odham Nation, who lives in Tucson, Arizona, told me. “It
already divides us.”

The
Tohono O’odham are among the U.S. federal tribes fighting
the government’s efforts to
beef up existing security with a border wall. In late January, the
Tohono O’odham, Pascua Yaqui and National Congress of Indian
Americans met to
create a proposal for facilitating indigenous border crossing.

The
Tohono O’odham already know how life changes when traditional lands
are physically partitioned.

By
U.S. law, enrolled Tohono O’odham members in Mexico are eligible to
receive educational and medical services in Tohono
O’odham lands in the U.S.

That
has become difficult since 2006, when a steel
vehicle barrier was
built along most of the 62-mile stretch of U.S.-Mexico border that
bisects the Tohono O’odham Nation.

Previously,
to get to the U.S. side of Tohono O’odham territory, many tribe
members would simply drive across their land. Now, they must travel
long distances to official ports of entry.

One
Tohono O’odham rancher told The New York Times in 2017 that he must
travel several miles to draw
water from a well 100 yards away from his home –
but in Mexico.

And
Pacific Standard magazine reported in
February 2019 that three Tohono O’odham villages in Sonora, Mexico,
had been cut off from their nearest food supply, which was in the
U.S.

Native
rights

Land
is central to Native communities’ historic,
spiritual and cultural identity.

Several
international agreements – including the United
Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples –
confirm these communities’ innate rights to draw
on cultural and natural resources across
international borders.

The
United States offers few such protections.

Officially,
various federal laws and treaties affirm the rights of federally
recognized tribes to cross between the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The Jay
Treaty of 1794 grants
indigenous peoples on the U.S.-Canada border the right to freely pass
and repass the border. It also gives Canadian-born indigenous persons
the right to live and work in the United States.

The American
Indian Religious Freedom Act of
1978 says that the U.S. will protect and preserve Native American
religious rights, including “access to sacred sites” and
“possession of sacred objects.” And the 1990 Native
American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act protects
Native American human remains, burial sites and sacred objects.

United
States law also requires that federally recognized sovereign tribal
nations on the U.S.-Mexico border must be consulted
in federal border enforcement planning.

In
practice, however, the free passage of Native people who live across
both the United States’ northern or southern border is curtailed
by strict
identification laws.

The
United States requires anyone entering the country to present a
passport or other U.S.-approved identification confirming their
citizenship or authorization to enter. The Real ID Act of 2005 allows
the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary to waive any U.S. law –
including those protecting indigenous rights – that may
impede border
enforcement.

Several
standard U.S. tribal identification documents – including Form
I-872 American Indian Card and
enhanced tribal photo identification cards – are approved
travel documents that
enable Native Americans to enter the U.S. at land ports of entry.

Arbitrary
identity tests

Only
the American
Indian Card,
which is issued exclusively to members of the Kickapoo tribes,
recognizes indigenous people’s right to cross the border regardless
of citizenship.

According
to the Texas
Band of Kickapoo Act of 1983,
“all members of the Band” – including those who live in Mexico
– are “entitled to freely pass and repass the borders of the
United States and to live and work in the United States.”

The
majority of indigenous Mexicans wishing to live or work in the United
States, however, must apply
for immigrant residence and work authorization like
any other person born outside of the U.S. The relevant tribal
governments in the U.S. may also work with Customs and Border Patrol
to waive certain travel document requirements on a case-by-case basis
for short-term visits of Native members from Mexico.

Since
border patrol agents have expansive discretionary
power to
refuse or delay entries in the interest of national security, its
officers sometimes make arbitrary requests to verify Native identity
in these cases.

Such
tests, my research shows, have included asking people to speak their
indigenous language or – if the person is crossing to participate
in a Native ceremony – to perform a traditional song or dance.
Those who refuse these requests may
be denied entry.

Border
agents at both the Mexico and Canada
borders have
also reportedly mishandled or destroyed Native ceremonial or
medicinal items they deem suspicious.

“Our
relatives are all considered ‘aliens,’” said the Yaqui elder
and activist José Matus. “[T]hey’re not aliens. … They’re
indigenous to this land.”

“We’ve
been here since time immemorial,” he added.

Russiagate geslaagd: geen impeachment van Trump, waar Clinton en haar team na bewezen misdaden vrijuit gaan…..

Nancy
Pelosi, de ‘Speaker of the House’ (nee, bepaald geen B&O speaker) heeft
laten weten dat ze geen behoefte heeft aan een impeachment (afzetten) van Trump
over Russiagate…… ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Na 2
jaar lang schreeuwen over Russiagate, zonder ook maar een flinter aan
bewijs, waar het woord ‘impeachment’ niet van de lucht was, durft
Democraat Pelosi te zeggen dat ze geen reden ziet om Trump af te
zetten…….

Russiagate
was niets anders dan een doofpot voor het misdadig optreden van
Clinton en haar campagneteam, ofwel: Russiagate truc geslaagd: Trump
ten onrechte beschuldigd van samenspannen met Rusland*, (nogmaals) terwijl de
misdaden van Clinton en haar campagne team onder het tapijt zijn
geveegd!! Het gaat hier om de enorme misdaad van de kandidaatstelling diefstal, door Clinton en haar team, de kandidaatstelling voor het presidentschap van de VS van haar partijgenoot Bernie Sanders….. 

Sanders was veel te ‘links’ voor de apparatsjiks van de Democraten, dus voor figuren als Clinton en Obama, vandaar dat de boel zo werd gemanipuleerd dat Sanders deze voorverkiezingen verloor…… De aanduiding ‘Clintongate’ zou dan ook moeten worden gebruikt, i.p.v. Russiagate………. 

Vergeet niet dat de hele Russiagate hysterie heeft gezorgd voor censuur op het internet**, iets waarvoor westerse politici en de reguliere westerse media, regimes als dat in China aan de paal nagelen…… Niet alleen dat, er worden kapitalen uitgegeven ‘om te voorkomen’ dat Russiagate zich kan herhalen….. 

In Nederland heeft hare D66 akeligheid Ollongren het gore lef te stellen dat Rusland hier ook de boel manipuleert en reken maar dat ook aan de bestrijding van die fantasie enorme kapitalen aan belastinggeld worden verspild…….. Waar de schrijvers op sites die vertellen wat er echt gebeurd in de wereld, werden en worden afgeschilderd als Russische trollen……. Denk daaraan als je volgende week en in mei in het stemhok staat, niet alleen D66 is volkomen fout op dit gebied, maar ook partijen als de VVD, CDA, PvdA, CU, SGP en GroenLinks……

an interview
with the Washington
Post yesterday,
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that she opposed the impeachment
of President Trump. This comes shortly before Mueller’s
investigation into Trump-Russia collusion is expected
to wrap up.

“I’m
not for impeachment,” Pelosi told the Post. “This is news. I’m
going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this
to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been
thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that
unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and
bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it
divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

The
response to Pelosi’s remarks has been swift and strong.

“Wrong!” exclaimed MSNBC’s
Russiagate con
man Malcolm
Nance via Twitter. “What the hell is wrong with the @SpeakerPelosi
Congress that they absolve themselves of their duty! Nothing is
criminal anymore?! Trump can do and say like a dictator as he
pleases? All of his crimes are OK even if you see them? This requires
a public outcry. #Disgraceful”

“I
like Speaker Pelosi but this is NOT the right
approach,” tweeted Michael
Avenatti of Stormy Daniels fame. “If Trump has committed
impeachable offenses, he must be charged and he must face a trial in
the Senate. Would the Repubs take this approach? Hell no! And this is
why we get outplayed.”

“Sorry,
Madam Speaker,” tweeted Esquire’s
Charles P Pierce. “If you really believe the president* is an
unprecedented threat to the Constitution, your oath demands that you
begin the process to remove him. It’s your job.”

The
House’s most virulent Russiagater, however, sang a different tune.

“If
the evidence isn’t sufficient to win bipartisan support for this,
putting the country through a failed impeachment isn’t a good
idea,” said Congressman Adam Schiff told
CNN yesterday.

As
you might expect, those voices in alternative media who’ve been
voicing skepticism of the Russiagate narrative since the beginning
have been having a ball with this one.

“BREAKING:
The Democrats’ Congressional leadership is realizing that their
two-year Russia conspiracy theory is not going to pan
out,” tweeted journalist
Aaron Maté, who has been in my opinion the single most lucid
Russiagate critic for a long time now.

“If
Trump is literally controlled by Putin to the point where Trump is
forced to act in the best interests of Russia *at the expense of the
US* — which has been the prevailing claim not of Dem fringes
but its mainstream — how can it be morally justified not to
impeach him???” tweeted journalist
Glenn Greenwald in response to Pelosi’s comments.

How
indeed? Pelosi’s comments go completely against the narrative that
mainstream Democrats have been selling America for over two years
now, and this close to the Mueller report amount to a rejection of
that narrative. Her statement is a tacit admission that she knows
Russiagate is bullshit, has always been bullshit, and will continue
to be bullshit.

it possible that Putin has something on Pelosi?” Greenwald joked.
“Or perhaps Democratic politicians and their media allies have been
knowingly feeding the party base and cable viewers unadulterated,
deranged, unhinged bullshit that they now can’t carry through on
with the power in their hands because it was all self-serving,
manipulative dreck? Anyone who has ever believed Trump is controlled
and blackmailed by Putin to the point that Putin makes Trump

But,
of course, they will not. There will be no protest against Pelosi’s
opposition to impeachment because those who would lead it know there
will never be any evidence that could possibly lead to a bipartisan
willingness in the Senate to remove him from office.

Anyone
who’s paid close and intellectually honest attention to the
Russiagate circus has known since the beginning that Trump was never
going to be impeached for a treasonous conspiracy with the Russian
government, despite the endless fantasies inflicted upon the
blinkered Maddow muppets day after day after day for over two years
now. Back in 2017 I
said that
“Mueller will continue finding evidence of corruption throughout
his investigation, since corruption is to DC insiders as water is to
fish, but he will not find evidence of collusion to win the 2016
election that will lead to Trump’s impeachment,” because it was
obvious to anyone who knew anything. And that has proven to be the
case with uninterrupted consistency.

If
those who have been driving the Russiagate conspiracy theory really
believed what they’ve
been pushing,
they would be up in arms at Pelosi’s remarks. Instead, we see
responses like Russiagate grifter Bill
Palmer publishing a
hilarious article titled
“Nancy Pelosi is playing rope-a-dope with Donald Trump on
impeachment”, explaining that her remarks were actually a brilliant
57-D chess maneuver designed to “play this Trump fool like fiddle.”

“Instead,
by answering the question in this manner, Pelosi accomplishes two
things,” says the Palmer
Report,
where sitting
US senators and top
Harvard law professors go
for the important updates they need to continue fueling Russia
hysteria in America. “First, she manages to put off the question
until she and her allies have managed to carve Donald Trump up.
Second, she’s messing with him. She just insulted him
by saying he’s not worth the trouble of impeachment. Pelosi is
looking to bait Trump into publicly feuding with her over the
question of impeachment. That way it’ll be Trump introducing the
concept, not her. And that’ll serve to help put the impeachment
process on the right track. Just don’t call it ‘impeachment’
quite yet.”

So
that tells you a bit about where the Russiagaters are at today.

This
all comes out, by the way, at the same time as a
new Wall
Street Journalreport that
Trump once attempted to personally cajole German Chancellor Angela
Merkel into ceasing to buy gas from Russia out of fear that “it
will make Europe’s largest economy excessively reliant on Russian
energy.” Hardly the behavior you’d expect from a Putin puppet,
but then neither are the rest of the many,
many other actions that
this administration has taken against the interests of Moscow.

is right and appropriate that those few voices on the left who’ve
been sharply critical of Russiagate from the beginning are now taking
some time to gloat at and mock its peddlers with increasing scorn.
The centrists who chose to spend more than two years forcing
everyone’s energy into this blatant psyop which escalated
a cold war against
a nuclear superpower were wrong, and the leftists who objected to it
were right. Trump’s term is more than halfway over, and
Russiagaters chose to suck all the oxygen out of the room for this
brainless, fruitless, worthless endeavor instead of allowing space
for progressive reform and for criticism of Trump’s actual
pernicious policies from the left. And they did it on purpose.

Mock
the Russiagaters. Mock them ruthlessly, and never, ever let them
forget the horrible thing that they did. Never stop making fun of
them and reminding them how stupid and crazy they acted during this
humiliating period of American history. And never stop using it as a
weapon against them. They were wrong, so they should not be leading
the way on what passes for America’s political left today.
Skepticism was the only appropriate response to Russiagate in a
post-Iraq invasion world, and those on the left who made that
appropriate response should be treated with infinitely more respect
and deference than those who did not.

They
were wrong, we were right, and now even Nancy Pelosi is all but
admitting it. Never let them forget it.

Een
deel van het CodePink team, o.l.v. Medea Benjamin is al een paar
weken in Iran*. Het team is daar onder meer om te zien wat de impact is
van de VS sancties tegen het volk van Iran, want daar komt het zoals
gewoonlijk op neer als de VS misdadig bezig is, het gewone volk is elke keer weer het slachtoffer, hoe hard de VS ook liegt dat dit niet zo is……

Ondanks
de ellende van de sancties waarin het Iraanse volk moet leven, worden
de leden van dit team uit de VS met veel gastvrijheid
binnengehaald….. Beter dan het grootste deel van de VS bevolking,
snapt men in Iran dat lang niet alle VS burgers blind zijn voor het
economisch oorlogvoeren van de Trump administratie……

De
gevolgen van de sancties voor de bevolking van Iran zijn niet gering,
zo hebben mensen met kanker niet langer toegang tot medicijnen die
zij nodig hebben voor hun therapie en dat duurt nu al een jaar……. Terwijl de VS, o.l.v. het beest Trump, zich in mei 2018 terugtrok uit de Iran-nucleaire deal (JCPOA), ofwel al voor deze gebeurtenis werden Iraniërs belangrijke medicijnen uit de VS onthouden, iets dat je ook in Venezuela kon zien, al was dat zelfs vele jaren voordat de VS officieel sancties instelde tegen dat land…….. Een zaak die je moet zien als een geheime economische oorlog, ingesteld om het volk van een land als Venezuela opstandig te maken tegen de regering van dat land…..

De
VS stelt dat medicijnen zijn uitgesloten van de sancties tegen Iran, zoals gewoonlijk een keiharde leugen, hetzelfde zei de VS over de
sancties tegen Venezuela en ook daar ontbreekt het al lang aan
medicijnen, de tekorten waren zelfs al goed te merken onder de Obama
administratie, die destijds een ‘stiekeme’ boycot instelden tegen
Venezuela, dit door supermarktketens onder druk te zetten hun winkels
in Venezuela niet of alleen mondjesmaat te bevoorraden, deze druk
werd ook toen al uitgeoefend op de grote farmaceuten……… Zoals gezegd om de bevolking van in dit geval Iran opstandig te maken tegen haar regering en zo een ‘verandering van regime’ te bewerkstelligen, dan wel een staatsgreep mogelijk te maken….

Overigens heeft de CIA toegegeven dat zij al jaren bezig is om de oppositie tegen het regime in Iran, zoals terreurgroep MEK, te voorzien van financiën, middelen, advies en zelfs daadwerkelijk assistentie bij terreuracties tegen de Iraanse overheid…… (ook Israël werkt daaraan mee….)

wordt opgeroepen opnieuw deel te nemen aan de nucleaire-Iran
deal….. Van groot belang, immers de EU beloofde Iran te helpen na
het volkomen onterecht uit de deal stappen van de VS, echter de
hielenlikkers van Trump in Brussel zijn te schijterig om ook maar
iets te ondernemen tegen de VS sancties……. Ofwel we zijn weer
eens geheel afhankelijk van wat de VS wel of niet doet……..

don’t understand why

We
are in Iran now and we have never met nicer people. Their eyes light
up when we say we’re Americans. Strangers
invite us to their homes, shopkeepers give us presents, students
shower us with friendly questions. “America good, Trump bad,”
they say—always with a hearty laugh and a beaming smile. But behind
the smiles are pain and hardship, much of it caused by Trump’s
policies of unilaterally withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and
re-imposing sanctions that hurt ordinary Iranians.


Tell
the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Eliot Engel, to push the
Trump administration to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal and lift the
sanctions.


A
man in the Tehran bazaar told us his wife has cancer and because of
the sanctions, she hasn’t been able to get the right medication for
the past year. A man with diabetes said he can’t get the medicine
he needs to lower his glucose levels. The
U.S. says medicines are exempt from sanctions but in reality, it’s
just not true.

The
sanctions have also led to soaring prices, cutting people’s
purchasing power and affecting their life choices. A young woman who
had been accepted to college in London with a full scholarship was
devastated that she had to decline because her family could no longer
even afford her plane ticket. A young man told us he cancelled his
plans to get married because the couple couldn’t afford the wedding
costs.


“Why
does Mr. Trump hate us?” people
here ask. “What
did we do to deserve such treatment?” The
answer is that they did nothing and they don’t deserve such
treatment. That’s
why we must call on Rep. Eliot Engel to push the administration to
re-join the Iran nuclear agreement and lift the sanctions.


We
must also ask Eliot Engel to stop supporting the MEK, the fringe
Iranian opposition group that is hated inside Iran for killing
civilians in terrorist acts. Many
Iranians criticize the Islamic Republic, but they do not see the MEK
as a legitimate replacement for the regime. Engel should cut his ties
with this terrorist group and instead promote diplomacy with Iran.

As
we come to the end of our trip, we leave with our hearts full of love
for the people here. But we also leave with a tremendous sense of
responsibility to stop the policies of our government that are
inflicting so much harm on innocent Iranians.

dekt zo ongeveer wel het hieronder opgenomen artikel van InformationClearing House, geschreven door Ray McGovern. Niets nieuws in
feite anders dan het bestaande nieuws van de afgelopen jaren dat er
geen bewijzen kunnen worden geleverd voor de leugens die ons dag in
dag uit over Russische manipulaties door de reguliere westerse
massamedia en politiek door de strot worden geduwd…….

Michael
Cohen die waarschijnlijk voor vele jaren achter het gaas moet, durfde
vorige week te stellen dat hij weliswaar geen directe bewijzen heeft
van het samenspannen van Trump met de Russen, maar dat hij dit kon
opmaken uit de houding van Trump en de manier waarop deze keek als
hij iets vroeg of stelde……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Let wel
beste bezoeker: Cohen zou een jurist zijn…. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Trump en
zijn oorlogszuchtige roverskliek zouden moeten worden afgezet, maar
niet op de belachelijke grond dat hij zou hebben samengespannen met
de Russen, zijn andere strapatsen zijn zwaar genoeg om hem af te
zetten! Echter daar willen de democraten niet over lullen, daar hen
dat niet goed uitkomt en ze ondanks alles achter het buitenland
(terreur-) beleid van de VS staan……. Ook in dat beleid is al genoeg te vinden
voor het afzetten van psychopaat Trump……

Ongelofelijk
dat de reguliere westerse massamedia die zo’n grote bek hebben over
fake nieuws en Russische manipulaties, niet het fatsoen hebben om het
hele Russiagate verhaal, waar zoals gezegd geen millimeter aan bewijs
voor is, eens echt goed te ontleden….. Immers er is meer dan
voldoende bewijs voor misdadig handelen door het campagneteam* van
oorlogsmisdadiger Hillary Clinton, die onderzoek wist af te wentelen, middels het spuien van valse anti-Russische propaganda en hen de schuld van het lekken van de mails in de schoenen te schuiven….. 

De Russen, zouden deze mails,
waaruit misdadig handelen van Clinton en haar team blijkt, hebben
doorgezonden naar WikiLeaks, een leugen van formaat…… Niet voor niets is er na meer dan 2 jaar tijd geen flinter aan bewijs geleverd voor deze leugen (nogmaals het gaat in werkelijkheid om mails
die aantoonden dat Clinton de voorverkiezingen van de Democratische
partij voor het presidentschap in 2016 op een heel smerige manier heeft gestolen van Bernie
Sanders en niet om het manipuleren van de verkiezingen door de Russen…….)

Zoals gezegd geen nieuws, zo was al veel eerder bekend dat Seth Rich, een medewerker van het Clinton campagneteam de mails lekte naar WikiLeaks, dit uit frustratie over het stelen van de voorverkiezingen door Clinton….**

that just 13 days after the U.S. intelligence Gang of Four briefed
Obama up and down on their evidence-free “assessment” that
WikiLeaks got the DNC emails via a Russian hack.


This
was one time Obama summoned the courage to face down James
(the-Russians-are-almost-genetically-driven-to-deceive) Clapper and
other intelligence chiefs.  After all, Obama is a lawyer. 
He “does evidence.”  In contrast, ex-CIA Director John
Brennan, told Congress that he does not “do evidence.”

in the day, the intelligence community “did evidence.”  As
soon as the evidence-impoverished “Intelligence Community
Assessment” was published on January 6, 2017, members of Veteran
Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) smelled a rat.
