Voorts heeft de VS in Afghanistan, Irak, Turkije, Saoedi-Arabië en Bahrein een flink aantal militaire bases…….
Laten we hopen dat de beslissing van het beest Trump, Jeruzalem tot hoofdstad van Israël uit te roepen en de VS ambassade daar te vestigen, een dikke wig zal slaan tussen de oorlogszuchtige staten Israël en Saoedi-Arabië. Immers als deze 2 met steun van de VS terroristisch tekeer zullen gaan, bijvoorbeeld tegen Iran (waar het nu op lijkt), zullen er tienduizenden of zelfs honderdduizenden dodelijke slachtoffers vallen…..

Israeli
Military Chief Warns of Iran Takeover in Unprecedented Saudi
Interview
(MEE) — Israel’s
military chief of staff said in an interview Thursday that his
country was prepared to cooperate with Saudi Arabia to face
Iran’s plans “to control the Middle East.”
In
an unprecedented interview with Saudi media, Gadi Eisenkot, a
lieutenant general, said that Iran wanted to create a “Shia
crescent from Lebanon to Iran and then from the Gulf to the Red Sea.”
“We
are ready to exchange experience with the moderate Arab countries and
exchange intelligence information to face Iran,” he told Elaph,
a Saudi-run news site.
Asked
whether information was shared with Saudi Arabia recently, he
said “we are ready to share information if necessary. There are
many common interests between us and them.”
He
pointed out Saudi Arabia and Israel had never been to war.
Israel
and Saudi Arabia have no official diplomatic ties and the
interview marks the first time a senior military officer was
interviewed by a media outlet in the kingdom.
Israel’s
army confirmed the contents of the interview.
Eisenkot
added that Israel had “no intention of initiating a conflict with
Hezbollah in Lebanon and reaching a war, but we cannot accept
strategic threats to Israel there.
“I
am very happy with the calm on both sides of the border, which has
lasted 11 years. On the other hand, we see Iranian attempts to
escalate.”
Both
Israel and Saudi Arabia have long had close ties to Western
governments and were on the same side in the Cold War. Nevertheless,
support for the Palestinian cause and opposition to Israeli control
of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem has meant the two countries have
never had relations.
However,
the rising influence of Iran in the Middle East has alarmed Saudi
Arabia and led to much behind-the-scenes coordination, as well as a
few public signs of thawing relations.
In
June, Israel’s Channel 2 hosted a Saudi Arabian guest on their
channel for the first time.
The
interview with Abdulhameed Hakim, director of the Middle East
Research Institute in Jeddah, direct from Saudi, was a first for
Israeli television.
Hakim
discussed the breaking off of ties with Qatar, who Saudi and other
Gulf states have accused of supporting “terrorism” and moving
closer to Iran.
He
also said that there must be no space in the region for groups that
want to use religion to achieve political goals, specifically
mentioning Hamas.

Al die zaken zijn wel van toepassing op de VS en dat op een enorme schaal…… Ook zijn die zaken wel van toepassing op Saoedi-Arabië, nu bezig met een genocide op de sjiieten in Jemen, hetzelfde S-A dat zelfs in Europa de jihad laat preken (al is dat niet nodig, gezien de barbaarse terreur die de VS, veelal met hulp van NAVO landen, her en der breng, plus dezelfde terreur-inzet van Israël, dat creëert op zich al een heel leger ‘terroristen…’)

Director Admits Saudi Arabia Is Working Directly With Israel to
‘Fight Terror’
(MEMO) — Israel
is working directly with Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations in the
fight against terrorism, CIA Director Mike Pompeo said on
Saturday, accordingto
the Jerusalem
Post.
The
comments were made at the Reagan National Defense Forum in
California, where Pompeo cited the danger Iran posed not just to the
US, but to other states in the region, as a unifying factor.
“We’ve
seen them [Saudi Arabia] work with the Israelis to push back against
terrorism throughout the Middle East, to the extent we can continue
to develop those relationships and work alongside them – the Gulf
states and broader Middle East will likely be more secure,” Pompeo
told the audience.
Former
CIA Director and former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta was also a
speaker at the event and took his speech as an opportunity to call on
Arab countries to form a coalition with Israel, the US and Turkey,
and even to run a joint military operations center.
“It
is incredibly important that in the Middle East, where we have failed
states, where you have ISIS [Daesh], where you have Iran, that we
have got to develop a stronger coalition of countries that are
willing to work together to confront these challenges,” he said.
“I
think with a joint military headquarters, that can… target the
terrorists in that region, that can basically work together to try to
provide stability where is necessary in these countries,” Panetta
concluded.
Rumors
of Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel were brought to the
fore once again last month after Israeli Energy Minister Yuval
Steinitz confessed that
Tel Aviv had covert contacts with Riyadh amid common concerns over
Iran.
Just
days before, Saudi news agency Elaph, which
is close to the decision-making circles in Riyadh, published
an interview
with the Israeli army chief of staff,
Gadi Eisenkot; a step described by Israeli sources as a move to bring
Saudi and Israeli relations into the public sphere.
The
reports reignited the controversy in September when whistleblower
Mujtahidd leaked reports stating the alleged desire of the Kingdom to
accept Israel “as
a brotherly state.”
The
Saudi public have strongly
rejected any
attempts at normalizing relations with Israel in the past, and such
reports prompted concern among many.
Saudi
officials have maintained that
any relations with Israel hinge on Israeli withdrawal from Arab lands
captured in the 1967 Middle East war, territory Palestinians seek for
a future state. However, rumors of existing cooperation persist,
including alleged Saudi backing for the US proposed Israel-Palestine
peace plan to be released next year.
“Western-backed militants are in retreat, Bashar al-Assad remains president, Hezbollah has stretched its wings regionally, Israeli power is in decline, and Iran is on the rise. Not a pretty result for Washington’s multi-billion dollar investment in the Syrian conflict, especially if it was intended to change the map of the region to favor U.S. interests.”
Mark
Dankof nailed it again. In his recent interview with Press
TV,
he said unflinchingly:
“The CIA needs to spend more time investigating terrorists and a lot less time recruiting them and financing them. The United States and Israel, and secondarily Saudi Arabia, have created the very monsters that they are decrying.”
This is just brute facts, and no reputable or serious scholar would put his credibility on the line denying this. (I am excluding the Neoconservative ideologues and New World Order agents here because I don’t think they are serious about truth.)
One can call the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia “the axis of evil” when it comes to perpetual wars, creating terrorist organs in the Middle East, and torturing civilians.[1]And if you want concrete evidence, consider the fact that George W. Bush himself trained MEK right in the United States!
Noted journalist Seymour Hersh was one of the first individuals to document that the Bush administration trained terrorist organizations such as the MEK in America, most specifically in Nevada.[2]
A few years ago, Hersh went even deeper. He declared that American journalism has been captured by a powerful force, one which seeks to destroy serious reporting. Hersh has actually gone deep into the dark thoughts and psychology that permeate the Zionist subconscious and came back with a glooming result: “Fire 90% of the editors and promote ones you can’t control.”[3]
By making this stunning statement, Hersh has literally tarnished the reputation of the Zionist media, New World Order agents and ethnic cleansers like Bill Kristol and Jonah Goldberg. He moved on to argue that news outlets like the New York Times have been sheltering the powers that be for a long time.
Hersh blew the whistle back in 2004 when he declared that children were literally sodomized in front of women at Abu Ghraib—and the Pentagon had the tape!
“This is at Abu Ghraib … The women were passing messages out saying ‘Please come and kill me, because of what’s happened’ and basically what happened is that those women who were arrested with young boys, children in cases that have been recorded. The boys were sodomized with the cameras rolling. And the worst above all of that is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking that your government has. They are in total terror. It’s going to come out.”
“I can tell you some of the personal stories by some of the people who were in these units witnessed this. I can also tell you written complaints were made to the highest officers and so we’re dealing with an enormous massive amount of criminal wrongdoing that was covered up at the highest command out there and higher, and we have to get to it and we will. We will.”[4]
The evidence seemed to suggest that the “women who witnessed these young boys being raped were actually their mothers… Other stories at the London Guardian also talked of young Iraqi detainees getting violently raped by US soldiers.”[5]
Sodomy at Abu Ghraib notwithstanding, the Israelis and the United States continue to support diabolical activities in the Middle East. Hersh wrote a long article in the London Review of Books arguing that the United States knew very well that they were arming ISIS in Syria. That’s not all. Hersh moved on to say that the United States knew perfectly well that if Assad were removed from power, then terrorist cells would have invaded the region, like vampires ready to strike innocent preys.
Hersh quoted one individual who said that the administration “did not want to hear the truth.”[6] Well, the administration did not want to hear the truth because they embraced the Israeli ideology which basically says that truth is what they can perpetuate and get away with. Hersh did not help Satanists and New World Order agents when he said that the Israelis fabricated the so-called evidence that Assad was using chemical weapons on his own people.[7]
Dankof was correct: the United States needs to stop supporting “Wahhabi-inspired extremist groups” in the Middle East. Dankof said:
“The Unites States that can essentially pull the rug out of the extremist groups and stopping the supporting for them logistically, militarily and financially supporting stable governments in the Middle East, getting out of the regime change business, getting out of the arms-selling business and first and foremost insisting that Netanyahu has to come to a legitimate agreement with the Palestinians as a prelude to any significant peace.
“Until Trump does those things, and leads the American government and the American people in that direction, there is going to be nothing but death and destruction ahead keeping in mind once again that the United States has created the very monster of now claims to be destroyed.”
The Israelis obviously fear that much of the world is no longer taking orders from them, despite the fact that they continue to exert an enormously powerful influence on the West. As Middle East analyst Sharmine Narwani has pointed out,

Flynn, voormalig adviseur van Trump heeft toegegeven dat hij heeft
gelogen tegen de FBI, een dienst die zelf één van de meest leugenachtige organen is van de vele VS inlichtingendiensten (ofwel geheime diensten).
Nog
steeds wordt er ophef gemaakt over contacten met bepaalde Russen,
terwijl dat de normaalste zaak van de wereld is voor een aankomende
administratie in de VS! Zo hebben de leden van een aankomende VS regering altijd contacten met vertegenwoordigers en leden van de Israëlische regering, die haar belangen wil
veilig stellen bij de komende VS regering…….
In
de lobby voor deze belangen, worden niet zelden kapitalen
uitgegeven om gunsten te kopen……
Dat
is nu precies het vreemde aan deze zaak: waarom maakt men zich wel
druk om contacten met bijvoorbeeld de Russische ambassadeur, maar
niet als dit een Israëlische ambassadeur en leden van het
Israëlische kabinet betreft……

vreemder: Netanyahu, de Palestijnen slachter en premier van de
gestolen staat Palestina, gaat wel even wat verder met het
beïnvloeden van het VS publiek, zoals hij zelfs bij een bezoek in 2015 aan de VS durfde te
doen. Daar las hij NB in het Congres de regering Obama de les over de nucleaire deal met Iran, zonder dat daar onmiddellijk een onderzoek naar werd gestart, een onderzoek naar de ongeoorloofde beïnvloeding van het VS volk……….
Noch wordt er ooit een onderzoek ingesteld naar de vele
achterbakse deals die met de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël werden en worden gemaakt, laat staan dat men onderzoek doet naar ongeoorloofde
beïnvloeding van VS burgers en dat NB op de nationale
televisie zenders in de VS (waar de gebeurtenissen in het Congres werden uitgezonden tijdens het voornoemde bezoek van Netanyahu aan de VS….)……..
Overigens zijn dergelijke contacten ook heel normaal als het om de reli-fascistische dictatuur Saoedi-Arabië gaat…….
Wel
laat de bekentenis van Flynn nog eens zien, hoever lobby kan reiken (en rieken), een zaak die

Michael
Flynn is now the second person involved with the Trump campaign to
admit wrongdoing in Mueller’s probe into allegations of collusion
between the Trump campaign and Russia; he is however the first Trump
administration official charged in relation to Mueller’s probe into
Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Former
Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and aide Rick Gates were
charged with money laundering from alleged crimes that took place
before they worked with Trump. A campaign adviser, George
Papadopoulos, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI earlier this year
over contacts with officials connected to the Russian government.
After
he left the administration, Flynn filed a foreign registration form
showing that he hadn’t disclosed multiple contacts and payments
from foreign entities while serving as a campaign adviser to Trump
starting in February 2016. The company received $530,000 from a Dutch
company working on behalf of Turkey’s government, to lobby the U.S.
for extradition of an exiled cleric who has opposed President Recep
Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
He’s
also disclosed payments from the Russian news site RT, described in
an unclassified U.S. intelligence report as “the Kremlin’s
principal international propaganda outlet.”
The
news about Flynn comes a day after CNN reported that Jared Kushner
had met earlier this month with Mueller’s team as part of the
investigation into Russia’s meddling in the election, according to
two people familiar with the meeting.
The
question is whether as part of the plea Flynn will ‘reveal’
something about Trump, because if 6 months after the Mueller probe
the best he could get out of Flynn is making a “false statement”
about meeting the Russian ambassador, then Trump has nothing to be
worried about.

Aan cholera zouden intussen meer dan 3.000 mensen zijn overleden, al meen ik dat ik al een paar keer een aantal van meer dan 10.000 doden voorbij heb zien komen……. Overigens zijn zowel cholera als difterie makkelijk te bestrijden, mits er medicatie voorhanden is, het grote aantal doden geeft al aan, dat zelfs die medicatie amper wordt doorgelaten………..
Intussen hebben de westerse reguliere media voor een groot deel alleen aandacht voor de ‘Houthi raketten’ die richting Saoedi-Arabië zouden zijn afgeschoten……. Je begrijpt dat men daar met veel afschuw over spreekt, ook al is er niemand omgekomen door die raketten, waarvan de Houthi’s nu erkennen dat ze ven hen komen*.
Over de slachting die Saoedi-Arabië en de VS aanrichten onder de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, hoor je de reguliere (massa-) media amper of niet…….. Een slachting waarvoor de Houthi’s de Saoediërs al een paar keer op eigen bodem hebben aangevallen……
Maar nee, dat er een miljoen mensen, waaronder een groot aantal kinderen, het gevaar loopt het leven te verliezen, is niet van belang……
De door de Houthi’s afgeschoten raketten zouden van Iran komen, zo kakelden de nationale radiozenders in Nederland (2 stuks) en die in de ons omringende landen elkaar na. Kijk daarom geeft men er zoveel aandacht aan, dat de VS alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord, is een feit waar je reguliere (massa-) niet over hoort. Nog niet 1 keer heeft men bewijs kunnen leveren, dat Iraniërs in Jemen vechten, hetzelfde geldt voor Hezbollah en toch houdt men ook dit keer op keer vol……..

Overigens bestaat het gevaar dat de VS, Saoedi-Arabië en Israël deze raket beschietingen zullen gebruiken, om een aanval op Iran uit te voeren, vandaar dat er ook zo op deze zaak wordt getamboereerd in de reguliere media…….

Cholera Wasn’t Enough, Yemenis Now Face Diphtheria Outbreak From
Saudi Siege
Sana’a (GPA)
– The increased Saudi blockade of Yemen has put millions of people
throughout at least five major cities in dire straits without access
to clean water, food, and medical supplies.
Riyadh
launched their initial blockade of Yemen shortly after resistance
forces took control of the capital city in 2014. This blockade
restricted imports such as food, medical supplies, and fuel.
Water
pumps require fuel to run, so this limits access to clean water for
millions of Yemenis. As a result, Yemen is still facing a cholera
outbreak completely
unprecedented in modern times. Numbers have tapered off, but 1
million will likely become infected by the end of the year. Over
3,000 have died from this preventable — and treatable — illness
since April of this year.
The
blockade also put millions at risk of famine because Yemen imports
nearly 80% of food. Seven million face famine while another 17
million are currently food insecure. The famine risk is greater in
the country’s rural areas, but those living within the capital city
are not immune as food prices have skyrocketed.
Heightening
the blockade
In
early November, Yemeni forces launched a ballistic missile at the
King Khalid Airport near Riyadh in retaliation for the ongoing siege,
airstrike campaign, and aggression against Yemen.
Saudi
Arabia capitalized on this opportunity to increase their deadly
blockade of Yemen by closing every available route for imports and
exports.
Prior
to the increased blockade, small amounts of aid were allowed to enter
Yemen’s resistance-held territory under Riyadh’s discretion.
These heightened measures closed the few routes available.
Water
pumps shut down and food is scarce.
Shortly
after heightening the blockade, Saudi Arabian warplanes bombed
infrastructure at the Sana’a airport. The airport was closed for
commercial travel at Riyadh’s behest a few years ago, but UN planes
were still allowed to deliver aid. Not only did the heightened
measures stop aid delivery through the Sana’a airport, but
proceeding airstrikes rendered the entire airport useless.

Yemeni
doctors now warn of a diphtheria
outbreak that
has already infected over 100 people and taken the lives of at least
14. Most of the victims are children.
Diphtheria
is an airborne illness caused by bacteria that spreads very quickly.
The disease is easily preventable through vaccines and easily
treatable with antibiotics. Lack of medical supplies puts thousands
if not millions at risk of contracting the fatal illness.
The
United States is a willing participant in this war and siege. In
addition to providing weapons and military support to Saudi Arabia
and their proxies in Yemen, the US also patrols the Red Sea enforcing
the blockade.

MAETIC bracht een rapport uit, waarin wordt gesteld dat Israël een tijdelijk bondgenootschap aan moet gaan met IS, daar beiden Iran bestrijden en daarmee Hezbollah >> de Jerusalem Post plaatste een artikel over de bevindingen van MAETIC.
Overigens heeft Israël de laatste jaren meermaals strijders van IS en Al Qaida gesteund, onder meer door gewonde strijders op de Golanhoogten van medische zorg te voorzien, zodat ze verder deel konden nemen aan de strijd tegen Assad en de sjiitische strijders van Iran en Hezbollah, die samen met het reguliere Syrische leger en de Russen uiterst succesvol IS bestreden…….. Ook had Israël een overeenkomst met o.a. Al Qaida, waarbij de afspraak was dat deze groep een mortier granaat afschoot op een vooraf bepaald en onbewoond deel van die Golanhoogten, het teken voor Israël dat men bombardementen wenste op vijandige troepen die optrokken tegen Al Qaida (of IS), ofwel het reguliere Syrische leger werd dan door Israël gebombardeerd……
Verder is het intussen meer dan duidelijk dat Israël, samen met de VS en Saoedi-Arabië, IS op poten hebben gezet en deze terreurgroep ook financieel hebben gesteund…..* Zo bezien loopt MAETIC ‘achter de troepen aan’, al ontkent dit instituut onterecht dat Israël al banden had met terreurgroepen als IS en Al Qaida……. Ach ja, sommige zaken kan je maar beter geheim houden of domweg ontkennen………
Echter Israël onderhoudt niet alleen banden met terreurgroepen, maar ook met terreurstaten, zoals Saoedi-Arabië en uiteraard met de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde: de VS…….
Hoe kan de wereld zo blind zijn voor de oneindige en ongebreidelde terreur van Israël tegen de Palestijnen, wier land men heeft gestolen en tegen wie deze fascistische apartheidsstaat een langzame etnische zuivering uitvoert…… Dit doet Israël niet alleen door een groot aantal mensen gevangen te zetten, zonder dat zij worden berecht (waaronder een flink aantal kinderen…), maar ook middels ongebreideld geweld en ronduit smerige treiterijen….

Intelligence: ISIS and Israel Could Now Be ‘Temporary Allies’
Against Iran
(MEMO) — A
new report released yesterday by an Israeli intelligence bureau has
suggested that in confronting Iran, the interests of Daesh and Israel
could converge, making them temporary allies, accordingto
the Jerusalem
Post.
The
Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Centre emphasized
that there was no formal alliance between Israel and the so-called
Islamic State, but said that after Daesh has fallen as a state, both
would target Iran and Hezbollah militants in Syria.
According
to the report, Daesh “will likely change its combat patterns and
revert to guerrilla tactics and terrorism following the end of the
campaign against it in Iraq, and may carry out hit-and-run attacks
against Iranian vehicles moving along the land.”
As
to the relationship between Iran and Israel, the report echoes the
government’s statements on the danger Iran poses, particularly via
the aid that will be given to Hezbollah that Israel believes will be
used to create terror networks in the Golan Heights.
“The
Iranian presence in Syria increases the likelihood of friction with
Israel and may lead to an escalation between the two countries at a
timing that is not suitable for Iran,” the report read.
The
common enemy between Israel and Daesh may result in strategies
merging as both seek to limit Iranian influence in the region.
Whilst
Israel has regarded Daesh militants as a major threat until now, it
has not disapproved of the strikes launched against Iranian forces by
IS.
Daesh
has lost swathes of its territory in Syria and Iraq this
year, including its most prized possession, Mosul. In Syria, it has
been forced back into a strip of the Euphrates valley and surrounding
desert, with a declaration of complete victory expected imminently.
As
the risk the group poses to Israel falls, the government seems to be
willing to tolerate the existence of fighters as long as it serves
their national interests.

As
the United Nations children’s fund warned Sunday
that nearly every Yemeni boy and girl—that’s more than 11 million
children—is in acute need of humanitarian assistance, Iran said the
United States admitted its own complicity “in the atrocities
committed by Saudi Arabia” in the warn-ravaged country.
The
comments by Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghassemi,
follow a statement released
Friday by
the White House, which
said that
the U.S. remains “committed to supporting Saudi Arabia and all
our Gulf partners against the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard
Corps’ aggression and blatant violations of international law.”
The statement also praised Saudi Arabia for opening the port in
Hodeidah and airport in Sanaa “to allow the urgent flow of
humanitarian aid to the people of Yemen.”
The
U.S. has for two years aided the Saudi-led coalition’s bombing
campaign against Houthi rebels with arms, intelligence, and logistal
support, thus helping to fuel the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis
in Yemen—and drawing sharp rebuke from
human rights groups.
According
to Ghassemi, the White House statement “clearly and without
question proves America’s participation and responsibility in the
atrocities committed by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.”
“Instead
of urging Saudi Arabia to end the bombardment of civilian targets and
killing the innocent and defenseless people of Yemen, they blatantly
continue their support for this country to continue its horrendous
crimes,” Ghassemi said,
while also arguing that “Iran has no military relation with
Yemen.” (The relationship between the houthis and
Tehran isunclear.)
Speaking
at a press briefing Sunday, Geert Cappelaere, UNICEF regional
director for the Middle East and North Africa, welcomed the partial
reopening of the blockade, but also outlined the dire situation
gripping Yemen, including its youngest inhabitants.
“Today,
it is fair to say that Yemen is one of the worst places on earth to
be a child,” later adding, “The war in Yemen is sadly a war
on children.”
Aid
group Save the Children offered grim statistics Friday, saying that
there are 600 new cases of starving Yemeni children each day, and,
despite some aid now getting in, the figure is likely to rise.
Among
the pleas Cappelaere issued are for the “the war on children to
stop” and for “the war to stop”. On behalf of every
single boy and girl in Yemen, let me conclude by appealing once again
to all parties responsible for today’s situation in Yemen, to all
parties and all those with a heart for children: Please take your
responsibility, don’t take it tomorrow, take your responsibility
now.”

It’s rare to see
evidence of an administration plot to manipulate the media unfolding
in real time, but such is the case this week—and thus far,
corporate media have taken the bait hook, line, and sinker.
The Washington
Post reported
Sunday (11/19/17)
that the Trump Justice Department had been ordering national security
prosecutors to single out cases involving Iranian nationals to help
push for new sanctions on Iran. The Post’s
Devlin Barrett, citing Justice Department officials, laid out the
strategy (emphasis added):
Last month, national security prosecutors at the Justice Department were told to look at any ongoing investigations involving Iran or Iranian nationals with an eye toward making them public.
The push to announce Iran-related cases has caused internal alarm, these people said, with some law enforcement officials fearing that senior Justice Department officials want to reveal the cases because the Trump administration would like Congress to impose new sanctions on Iran. A series of criminal cases could increase pressure on lawmakers to act, these people said.
Some federal law enforcement officials have also voiced concerns that announcing the cases, rather than keeping them under seal, could imperil ongoing investigative work or make it harder to catch suspects who might travel out of Iran, according to the people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing investigations.
Here we have several
insiders effectively whistleblowing on the Trump DoJ* that its
national security investigations are being politicized to advance a
hawkish policy agenda. Under a “normal” presidency, this would
likely be a major scandal, but under Scandal-a-Day Trump, it hardly
registered notice.
What’s perhaps more
shocking is that numerous major media outlets—either ignorant of or
indifferent to the Post’s revelations—took the bait,
reporting about an “Iranian” hack of HBO without
noting the Trump DoJ’s cynical motives:

All
of these reports were 36–48 hours after the Post broke
the story that the targeting of Iranian nationals was a deliberate
political ploy by Trump to single out their alleged crimes for the
entirely unrelated purposes of stoking a war panic, imposing harsher
sanctions, and doing what the administration has long—and quite
openly—wanted
to do: get out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, otherwise
known as the Iran Deal. But none of these reports mention this
crucial piece of context, context that would put the sensational
headlines about Iranians hijacking our precious pop culture assets
into proper perspective.
Most of the articles had
a throwaway line explaining that Justice wasn’t technically
implicating the Iranian government, but it was heavily implied they
were involved, with citations of the defendant’s “links” to the
Iranian military, and one or two paragraphs devoted to previous
Iranian and North Korean government hacks.
After noting the alleged
hacker had “previously worked as a hacker for the Iranian
military,“ and spending roughly 100 words on historical examples of
government’s hacking, LA Times’ Ryan Faughnder did
note in paragraph 11 that “the indictment did not say the Iranian
government was behind the HBO hack.”
The Daily
News skipped the caveat all together and strongly suggested
the defendant was working on behalf of the Iranian government,
writing he was a “member of the Iran-supported Turk Black Hat
Security team” and “had worked on behalf of the Iranian armed
forces to attack military and nuclear software systems, as well as
Israeli infrastructure.” The DoJ’s reluctant admission that he
had no connection to the government didn’t merit a mention.
One
outlet, NBC
News (11/21/17),
actually added the context of potential DoJ bias after initially
omitting it and hyping up the Iran connection, noting prosecutors
denied the allegations. (The archived version can be seen here.)
Clearly NBC editors
realized this context was crucial. How many other people around the
world have committed similar crimes? How many hacks of this nature
are currently under FBI investigation? If the number is 100 and the
Trump DoJ, under pressure from anti-Iran ideologues in the
administration, selectively highlighted this case to paint a broader
narrative, certainly this would put the story in a whole new light.
This
isn’t to necessarily blame specific journalists writing up the
DoJ’s press conference. It’s possible they missed the Washington
Post’s
report on political corruption at the DoJ on Iran. Certainly, no
reporter can know all relevant reports all the time. But it does
speak to a much broader problem of the media taking FBI press
releases at face value, and declining to contextualize the broader
political implications. (As FAIR has noted
previously—4/1/15, 7/1/15—this
usually manifests in treating every manufactured “terror” plot as
the Lindbergh Baby case.) But to those who do know—and those
covering the case moving forward—certainly the blatant
politicization of Trump administration prosecutions should be put
front and center in any subsequent coverage.
Evidence
of anti-Iran positioning at Justice comes on the heels of Trump’s
CIA head Mike Pompeo cherry-picking
filescaptured
at the assassination of Osama bin Laden in an effort to link Iran to
the terrorist mastermind and Al Qaeda to Iran—then giving the only
advance copy of this report to a partisan anti-Iran think tank, the
Foundation for Defense of Democracies, for heavy
spin.
It was a highly unusual move that ex-Obama official and ex-CIA
analyst Ned Price argued on Twitter and
in an article in The
Atlantic (11/8/17)
was a clear attempt to undermine Obama’s Iran deal. “The ploy is
transparent despite the fact that the newly released documents don’t
tell us anything we didn’t already know,” Price said on social
media:
What’s not as transparent are the motives of Pompeo, the administration’s leading and most influential Iran hawk…. These moves suggest he’s reverting to the Bush administration’s playbook: Emphasize terrorist ties as a rationale for regime change.
To anyone paying
attention to the bigger picture, the trend is obvious.
Given
the Trump admin’s open and well-documented attempts
to undermine the Iran deal and build up tensions with Iran, any
gestures against the country should, at the very least, be
contextualized as part of this broader propaganda effort—especially
when confirmation of this effort is relayed by DoJ officials
themselves in real time. Thus far, the media is taking DoJ and CIA
moves at face value and not presenting these stories as what they
clearly are: marketing collateral in a broader PR push for sanctions
and potentially war against Iran.
Het Pentagon heeft eindelijk toegegeven dat de VS niet in Syrië is om IS te bestrijden, maar om het land te verdelen in stukken, waarbij de terreurgroepen die de VS steunt, zoals Al Qaida Syrië, ofwel al-Nusra*, een hoofdrol zullen spelen in door de VS aangewezen autonome gebieden (bekonkeld met Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en Groot-Brittannië…)…….
Keer op keer, ook onder Obama, beweerde de VS alleen in Syrië te zijn voor de bestrijding van IS, maar nu de VS stelt dat IS is overwonnen, zegt het Pentagon niet van zins te zijn een eind te maken aan haar illegale verblijf in Syrië, integendeel: het Pentagon stelt dat de VS (illegaal) aanwezig zal blijven in Syrië……
Daarmee geeft de VS in feite aan dat het wat hen betreft voorgoed is afgelopen met het vreedzaam samenwonen van diverse religies naast elkaar, zoals dit het geval was, voordat de VS in 2011 een opstand kocht in Syrië (waarvoor de eerste plannen al werden gemaakt in 2006), een opstand die moest uitmonden in een staatsgreep tegen het bewind van Assad………
Met deze belofte van de VS, zal bovendien de vrede niet terugkeren in het gebied dat we nu nog Syrië noemen……
Overigens is het meer dan duidelijk dat de VS meermaals IS heeft gesteund, niet alleen in Libië en Irak**, maar ook in Syrië…… Terwijl het Pentagon en de VS minister van Defensie, uh Oorlog, James ‘mad dog’ Mattis, als excuus voor de blijvende illegale aanwezigheid van VS militairen op Syrisch grondgebied aanvoeren, dat het een opnieuw opstaan van IS wil voorkomen……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Syrië moet en zal uiteenvallen, zodat de VS, Israël en Saoedi-Arabië uiteindelijk het sjiitische Iran aan kunnen vallen……. Vanmorgen meldde BBC World Service radio nog, dat Israël en Saoedi-Arabië, de grootste terreurstaten in het Midden-Oosten gezamenlijk Iran hebben aangewezen als verspreider van terreur en instabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten……. ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Knettergek en nog zotter dat men dergelijke berichten zonder enige kritiek durft te brengen!!

Officially ‘Defeated’ but the US Will Stay in Syria

questions what the US goal in Syria has become.

military intentions in Syria have never been exactly transparent, but
are becoming ever less so, as Pentagon officials loudly declare ISIS
to have been “defeated” in the country, but insist that they
intend to remain.
This
is a potential major legal issue, because Syria never authorized the
US invasion in the first place. US officials always presented the
authorization as being UN resolutions supporting the fight against
ISIS, but that would no longer apply.
Moreover, Russian
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has pointed out that
Secretary of State Tillerson has repeatedly assured him that the
“only” US goal in Syria is to fight ISIS. This is adding to
Russian concerns about what the US is actually planning on doing
next.
Secretary
of Defense James Mattis is trying to present this as keeping “ISIS
2.0” from coming into existence. While this is also the pretext for
staying in Iraq, there is a major difference between a permanent
deployment in Iraq that the US-backed government there supports, and
trying to stay in Syria forever despite explicit opposition from the
Syrian government.
Eindelijk, zou je bijna verzuchten, bij het bericht dat VS senator Chris Murphy (Democratische partij) de kat de bel aan heeft gebonden, door te stellen dat de VS medeplichtig is aan de vreselijke oorlogsmisdaden die Saoedi-Arabië aanricht in buurland Jemen……
Oorlogsmisdaden als het herhaaldelijk bombarderen van burgerdoelen, of het instellen van blokkades zodat humanitaire hulpgoederen niet of mondjesmaat de lijdende bevolking bereiken, waarbij het uitvoeren van een genocide op de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen wel de smerigste en grootste oorlogsmisdaad is…… Voorafgaand aan de cholera uitbraak in Jemen, was er al een hongersnood gaande door het handelen van de Saoedische coalitie…… Een hongersnood die door de VN wordt betiteld als zeer ernstig, waarbij werd gesteld dat als de wereld nog langer toekijkt, zonder in te grijpen, deze hongersnood aan meer dan één miljoen mensen het leven zal kosten…….. Dergelijk handelen van de Saoedische coalitie kan je dan ook niet anders zien dan als het moedwillig uitvoeren van een genocide…….
Als één van de laatste daden die deze genocide vergroten, werd het vliegveld van Sanaa gebombardeerd, een vliegveld dat van groot belang is voor de aanvoer van humanitaire goederen….. Zo werden daar zaken aangevoerd die de cholera uitbraak moeten bestrijden….. Murphy merkt terecht op, dat die cholera uitbraak één op één te danken is aan de bombardementen van de Jemenitische infrastructuur (zoals waterzuiveringsinstallaties en het rioolsysteem door de Saoedische coalitie…….
De VS is neemt o.a. deel aan de Saoedische coalitie door het in de lucht bijtanken van Saoedische straaljagers, zodat deze zo ‘efficiënt’ mogelijk hun moorddadig werk kunnen voortzetten……..
De schrijver van het Anti-Media artikel hierna, Julia Conley, merkt op dat de blokkades bedoeld zijn, om de aanvoer van wapens vanuit Iran voor de Houthi rebellen te voorkomen. Jammer dat ze hier verder geen woorden aan wijdt, immers voor die smokkel is tot op heden niet éénmaal het bewijs geleverd….. Jemen zit al decennia propvol wapens en munitie, terwijl een groot deel van het reguliere Jemenitische leger vecht aan de kant van de Houthi rebellen, u snapt dat dit leger al evenmin een gebrek aan wapens of munitie heeft…… (‘het is tenslotte het Nederlandse leger niet’, waar top-officieren u keer op keer voorliegen dat het aan alles ontbreekt….)
De VS was tot dit jaar met geheime militaire acties en drone aanvallen* bezig in en boven Jemen, bovendien helpt het Saoedi-Arabië met de blokkade op zee voor de havens van Jemen. Zo meldden de VS en S-A dat het schepen met wapens voor Jemen had onderschept, echter deze schepen bleken wel uit Iran te komen, maar waren geladen met humanitaire hulpgoederen…….. Tot op de dag van vandaag houden de VS en S-A vol dat het wel om wapens ging, alhoewel ze daar geen flinter bewijs voor hebben geleverd…..
Intussen staan er daadwerkelijk VS troepen op de grond in Jemen, zogenaamd om IS te bevechten, terwijl ze in werkelijkheid de Houthi rebellen bevechten…….. Ziek genoeg, waren en zijn het juist de Houthi rebellen, die IS en Al Qaida (succesvol) bestreden en bestrijden in Jemen, terwijl deze barbaarse terreurgroepen worden gesteund door Saoedi-Arabië en daarmee door de VS!! Het was dan ook de zelf opgestapte president van Jemen, Mansur al-Hadi die deze terreurgroepen onderdak verleende in Jemen, waarop deze soennitische terreurgroepen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen te lijf gingen met vreselijk geweld……
Vandaar ook dat het soennitische Saoedi-Arabië de opgestapte president al-Hadi onder druk hebben gezet zijn ambt weer op te nemen, zodat hij hen te hulp kon roepen ‘in zijn strijd tegen’ de Houthi rebellen….. Zoals u wellicht weet: S-A financiert en ondersteunt IS, Al Qaida en bijvoorbeeld de rest van de terreurgroepen in Syrië, vandaar ook dat S-A de Houthi’s niet alleen bestrijdt vanwege hun sjiitisch zijn, maar ook vanwege het succes in de strijd tegen IS en Al Qaida……
Overigens weer opvallend: het niet melden van de uitlatingen die senator Murphy deed door de reguliere westerse (massa-) media…….. Waarschijnlijk zien deze media de uitlatingen van Murphy als nepnieuws, daar deze niet stroken met de weinige leugenachtige berichten (fake news) die ze wijden aan Jemen en Saoedi-Arabië…..

Senator Accuses America of Being Complicit in Yemeni War Crimes
“The
bombing campaign that has caused the cholera outbreak could not
happen without us.”
(COMMONDREAMS) Senator
Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) blasted the
U.S. government on Tuesday for enabling the humanitarian crisis
that’s underway in Yemen — just before the U.S.-backed Saudi
coalition bombed the airport in the nation’s capitol of Sanaa,
further blocking aid from getting to Yemeni civilians.
Showing
pictures of children who are starving amid what U.N. officials have
called the worst famine the world has seen in decades, Murphy told
his Senate colleagues, “This
humanitarian catastrophe — this famine…is caused in part by the
actions of the United States of America.”
“We
have a responsibility to make sure that the coalition, of which we
are a part, is not using starvation as a weapon of war,” said
Murphy. “This
is a stain on the conscience of our nation if we continue to remain
silent.”
The
bombing of Sanaa’s airport is expected to
worsen the impact of the Saudi blockade. The Saudis said this
week that they plan to loosen the blockade but have yet to follow
through. The coalition has closed many
of Yemen’s ports to ostensibly prevent weapons-smuggling from Iran
to the Houthi rebels who are fighting the Yemeni government forces —
and civilians have suffered the consequences.
In
addition the famine, Yemenis are also suffering from what Oxfam
has called the
worst cholera outbreak in history, with at least one million expected
to be affected by the end of the year, including 600,000 children.
The blockade has prevented desperately-needed sanitation supplies
from getting to aid agencies, making it impossible to prevent new
cases as the medical community — in which many doctors and nurses
have been working
without pay since
much of the healthcare system has been shut down—tries to treat
those who are already sick.
In
his speech on the Senate floor, Murphy added that the United States’
contributions to the Saudi coalition have made actions like the
bombing of Sanaa’s airport possible.
“It
is U.S. refueling planes flying in the sky around Yemen that restock
the Saudi fighter jets with fuel, allowing them to drop more
ordnance,” said
Murphy. “It
is U.S.-made ordnance that is carried on these planes and dropped on
civilian and infrastructure targets inside Yemen. The United States
is part of this coalition. The bombing campaign that has caused the
cholera outbreak could not happen without us.”
* Drone aanvallen op verdachten, ofwel standrechtelijke executies, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers, niet eens als verdachte was aangemerkt……..
